i think we can all agree now that c!niki would not be the 'they asked for no pickles' person in the syndicate, right. like, c!ranboo would get pickles on their burger and niki would think about saying something but instead just offer him her chicken sandwich (came with no pickles). c!techno would say he'd go get it fixed and then go 'ah well they only pay minimum wage here :/ i'll get you another burger later man' while c!phil is already up at the dang counter to fix it.

y'know what no. im not talented at drawing. im skilled. i didn't start my art journey like this- i've been drawing for as long as i can remember, which is almost two decades now. i've been improving the whole way because drawing is hard and takes work. anyone can do it. the idea of it being a talent is incredibly sucks because that takes out the idea of improving. im not doing it to be cool or make money (though that's certainly nice) im doing it because i like it and i like seeing progress. that's what skills are.

my art is not a talent. it's a passion. it's a skill. it's learned. the only thing inherent to me is that i picked up the crayons when i was little and i never put them down.

I don't know if this is an universal experience. Might be not. But for me being ace means that I sometimes feel like I'm living in a world full of crazy people, alright?

Just... let me illustrate this by swapping some words around, okay? I think that would make it easier to understand for other people.

Everybody seems to be obsessed with a set of specific body parts. "Liver" is the funniest thing anybody can say or draw. You've been seeing livers of various degrees of realism scribbled everywhere since you can remember. Also, people worry about the size of their livers.  And pancreas too, but more so the shape than size. Some people undergo surgeries to change how they look. When you say that you think internal organs are always kinda gross either way, people think something is wrong with you.

People are crazy about exchanging body fluids too. You cannot help but find the idea of having a blood transfusion with a complete stranger unappealing. Some agree with you about that; they say that's pretty irresponsible. Some add that it is also amoral. But they are sure you'd love to have a transfusion with the right person. You really wouldn't.

And then...

Then, there's this one special topic.

The pets at Pride discourse... oh, that's the most ridiculous of all. In the world where almost every house has an insectarium, the association of tarantula owners is insisting that the wolf spider lovers are all freaks.

Also work is finally going not great. Unfortunately, it's not because of me. I'm continuing to do my best but it's just too much work for one person, which they *do* know so I'm just vibing along until either they hire help or they fire me for not making the impossible happen. Or third option I just give up and quit with no back up plan.

I'm kind of rooting for #2, but it'll probably be eventually #3.

So what I watch and heavily enjoy every episode of miraculous ladybug ever?? I like enjoying life!!! Even if it makes me want to pull my hair out sometimes!!!!!

This is for the people who didn’t party in their teens and twenties. For the people who didn’t have that “coming of age” movie experience with shenanigans and revelations. This is for the people who mostly keep to themselves. Who maybe prefer things to be quieter and gentler. This is for the people who don’t feel like they belong in a culture that values loud parties and flashing lights. I see you. And you are valid.

i went to a tiny counterserve diner once and accidentally poured sugar instead of salt all over my hashbrowns and was eating them sadly anyways. the waitress took them away and started making me another one and I tried to protest, but she just snorted and said "we're not catholic here". now every time i'm doing something painful out of obligation i think about how that is not repenting, this body is not a catholic establishment, there is no nobility in suffering.
