I know it sounds like platitudes when I say #that everyone was super nice and talented but REALLY. People were so kind to me and somehow I became well known despite #my art and writing and me in general still being immature and hashtag cringe #I found my creative legs and #people would respond to my stuff with walls and walls of support in the tags and we would do exchanges and events every year #I made my first lyric comic and it’s still doing extremely well on YouTube even today!! my dad who passed away recently always loved it #and my favorite RvB writer came out of hibernation to write me a bunch of text wall asks about it #I’ve never had another fandom experience quite like RvB #I still keep in touch with many of my friends from that time period even though we’ve all moved on the other things #these guys will always always have a place in my heart #so long reds and blues….

YOU SIT ON THE WORN-OUT couch by the window, the rain taps gently against the glass, mirroring the tears that trickle down your cheeks. soon, jay enters the room, his presence a comforting warmth in the dimly lit space. he sits next to you and wraps his arms around you, pulling you closer as tears stream down your face.

"what's wrong, my angel?" he whispers, his voice soft and gentle.

"i just feel like crying.." you sniffled. he nods quietly respecting your answer, while letting a quiet hum. you bury your face in the crook of his shoulder as you felt his warm lips gently pressing against your forehead. your tears ran down your cheek while staining the fabric of his shirt. but jay didn't mind. he holds you tighter, offering you more comfort.

as the tears fall, jay brushes his thumb against your cheek, wiping each tear away. you felt his lips find their way to your tear-stained cheeks, kissing away the salty droplets that cling to your skin.

"it's okay," he murmurs, his voice barely above a whisper. "i'm here for you, always. let it all out." feeling his warmth against your skin, you close your eyes, allowing yourself to calm yourself down. sometimes you wonder how you would survive without jay.
