Tumblr media
“Toge,” You call for your boyfriend, who is currently sprawled over your couch. “Have you seen my charger?”
Toge looks up from his phone, pausing for a moment to think. After briefly looking confused, he lights up and lifts his hands to sign, ‘I think you left it at my place.’
“Ah,” Not again. Must this always happen? “Remind me to get it back next time we’re there.”
He nods and gets up, gesturing for you to hand over your phone. Toge moves to charge it with his own charger.
“Thanks.” You kiss his cheek, relishing the way he blushes. Flustered, it takes him more than one try to plug the charger into the wall socket. You can’t help but shake your head at him. He’s just too cute sometimes.
About the case of things going missing, however, it happens to Toge too.
You were cleaning up your apartment when it suddenly started raining. Thoughts of Toge in the rain immediately caused you to worry, but you managed to calm down somewhat. He should be fine since he has an umbrella.
Only, he doesn’t. You stare at the compact, foldable umbrella in horror. It’s positioned beside yours at your apartment’s entryway.
Toge, completely drenched, arrives at your place an hour or so after that. Luckily, you anticipated as much, and already had a change of clothes, towels, and warm food ready for him.
He gives you a kiss on the cheek this time, walking backwards into the bathroom, forming a heart with his hands and a goofy smile glowing on his face.
The more time you and Toge spent in each other’s places, the more your things seemed to shuffle about. Your book on his desk. His jacket in your closet. An accessory of yours on his bedside table. That snack he bought is somewhere in your cupboard. It was getting confusing, how your lives were getting tangled up in two separate places.
“The solution is obvious, isn’t it?” Megumi asks one night when you bumped into him at a convenience store. “Move in with him.”
“Oh.” Speechless, you can only blink at him in response. “We’ve never really talked about that.”
Megumi shrugs, “Sounds like that talk’s overdue, if you ask me.”
And maybe it is, because you’re seriously considering it when you can’t find a single pen in your apartment. Why do ballpens vanish when you need them, and why are there so many of them when you don’t?
But of course, you find your favorite ballpen in a mug Toge had turned into a pen holder, sitting with his other pens and markers.
You must have been staring at the pen—at his desk—for quite some time. It makes Toge look at you with concern in his eyes.
“Takana?” He asks, checking on you while resting a hand on your arm.
Snapping out of it, you try to gather your courage to bring up living together. There’s no reason for him to say no, right? And you’d be fine whichever place he chooses. Or maybe, you could meet in the middle and  look for somewhere new?
The thought of apartment hunting with Toge strangely sends butterflies in your stomach. But before you get ahead of yourself, you have to properly ask him about it first.
“What do you think about living together?” You blurt out, and your heartbeat feels rapid and unsteady. Suddenly, it feels like you’re confessing to him all over again.
Toge breathes out a laugh, pulling you into his arms. Nestling his head into the crook of your neck, he accepts. “Shake.”
“Really?” Stunned that it was that easy, it takes you a second before you return his embrace. “Where should we go?”
He pulls back to kiss the tip of your nose cutely. Smiling, he motions to sign, ‘Wherever you want! I’ll follow you anywhere.’
It takes several weeks of planning and headaches, but you and Toge manage to find a new home. It’s close by, still in the same neighborhood that you’re used to. You didn’t want to move too far from this community and your loved ones.
Other than that, your main goal was to find a place with more space than either of your previous residences. You wanted to organize storage properly. Contrary to your expectations and true to his word, Toge wasn’t picky at all. He was just happy to always be close to you.
As you were unpacking food and supplies in the kitchen, you looked over at your boyfriend. He was sitting cross-legged on the carpet, configuring the wifi.
“Toge, should we have food delivered? Or would you like to cook in the new kitchen?”
Mouthing, he responds, ‘Cook.’
You gasp, delighted he chose so. “Okay! Let me know if I can help you.”
He quickly fiddles with the wifi router before waving at you to come over. You laugh, “I meant I’d help with the cooking, but sure.”
Toge gets up, taking one of your hands in his. He presses something on his phone before reaching for the other.
The expression on his face is playful and sweet as he places your hands behind his neck; your fingertips brush against the ends of his hair. Music starts playing the moment he holds onto your waist.
It’s strange, nothing has changed about the room. You’re still surrounded by countless unpacked boxes from the move, and yet the apartment has never felt so vibrant.
Is it the music? The song he played fills the space and bounces back from every corner, breathing life into your new home.
It could also be the way he dances with you, making you feel like there’s nowhere else you’d rather be. No other’s company you’d rather have.
Or, it must be all of that and how he looks at you while he mouths, ‘I love you.’ Because you love him too.
A few days later, while out on a date, Toge asks if you’ve seen his charger.
You hum in thought. “Did you leave it at home?”
Amused, he looks at you funny before pointing to your heart. ‘Is it in there, then?’
“I don’t understand.” You admit, waiting for him to elaborate.
‘My home is where your heart is.’

♡ATSV: Couple shenanigans♡
Tumblr media
Genre: Fluff, Established relationship
Warnings: Reader is poc
Summary: Just some couple things that I'd imagine these little guys would do for their partner.
A/n: I stand by my headcanon that every single Spiderman in a relationship would absolutely melt for their partner, I don't care who they are.
_______________________________________
Hobie Brown
When you first met Hobie you thought he was quite intimidating. Now that you're practically dating the guy, you've come to realize that he just has a permanent resting bitch face and you love that for him, but from time to time you still get intimidated by him.
Like the time when he spaced out mid conversation to admire your face. "-And he just kept going on and on about his new motorcycle like, did I ask? I just wanted to buy some chips man, weird right?" Looking up to wait for your boyfriend's answer you were met with his blank stare, and his face resting in the palm of his hand. It only took you a minute for you to realize that your boyfriend wasn't in fact angry at you, it was just his face. "I admire your beautiful face and this is how you repay me?" He laughed, then placed a gentle kiss on your forehead.
God forbid this boy show affection in public, the amount of begging it took to get him to hold your hand in public is something no one will be able to waterboard out of you.
"Hold my hand…" You whisper to him as to not bother the other people on the train. Hobie's face lightly scrunched up upon hearing your request. "We're almost home, we can cuddle there, and it's better than holding hands." He tried to bargain, but seeing your mood suddenly shift was enough to make him hold out his palms towards you, which you gladly took.
Pavitr Prabhakar
Pavitr is the type of boy to buy you flowers, there doesn't have to be a reason. If he feels like it(and that is most of the time) he'll just have them delivered, no matter where you are.
It was especially bad when you two had just started dating, once a week a different bouquet of flowers were being sent to you. One day when he turned up at your house with a bouquet of lavender flowers, which had felt like your last straw.
"I can't keep accepting your flowers…" You say apologetically, he tilts his head in confusion and worry. "O-Oh…I understand." He responds, and anxiously looks down at his feet.
"I don't have enough space in my house to keep them all, please chill out." You finished. Pavitr paused, then took a moment to laugh, "Ok love, I'll keep that in mind." He said with a smile. After that, the boy instead opted to help you make a garden, though you still do receive flowers from him every now and then.
Since Pavitr's hair is in a permanent swoop on his face, you find yourself unconsciously tucking away loose strands that obstructed his vision. The first time you did it he thought you were going in for a kiss, to which he ended up kissing your hand.
You still tease him about it to this day.
Gwen Stacy
Gonna be honest with you, people already thought you two were a couple way before you guys actually became one. Gwen told her band that you both were dating and they were confused as to what she was talking about.
"Wait…you guys weren’t a thing before?" Was the general consensus.
Gwen hated the rain, while you absolutely loved it. It would be hard to get to where you were going if it was raining, because she would often rather wait for the rain to stop than actually use an umbrella.
One day the stars aligned for you and water had begun pouring from the sky. Your girlfriend had the dismay of being over at your house when the sky decided to screw her over, "Wanna go play in the rain?" You asked even though you could see her grimace at the very thought.
"What are you, five? Besides, you'll get sick" Gwen reasoned. You then held her face in the palm of your hands, making her eyes focus on you. "You're the only girl I'd want to get sick with." You spoke, holding onto her hands and pulling her towards the door that leads to the outside. Gwen scoffed at your words, "As cute as that is, no."
"Guess you'll have to miss out." You say with a cheeky grin plastered to your face, you open the door and walk backwards into the open rain while making eye contact with your girlfriend.
Though she tried to pull you back inside, the cold air of the rain made her shudder. The rain droplets soaked your clothes but you couldn't be any happier. Gwen became very protective of you ever since you both lost Peter, so you getting sick would send the girl into a coma….but it was nice to see you happy for a change.
The blonde sighed and slowly walked into the rain to join you, she felt her clothes sticking to her skin as the rain poured. The girl joined you. "If we get sick, you're so dead!" Gwen yelled, but her voice sounded quite playful. You couldn't help but giggle and danced with her in the rain.
(You guys did end up getting sick)
Miles Morales
Being in a relationship with Miles was great, but ever since he transferred to that other school you could tell that he grew more tired. Rarely did both of your schedules ever line up to see each other, but that never stopped you from loving the guy.
So now when you had time to see him, it would just be a relaxing few hours of watching him draw until your parents texted you to come home.
Everything was great for the first few months of the same thing. In that time, you met some of his friends that he said were from his school, Gwen, Pavitr, and Hobie. "We only came over to see you!" Was their excuse to come by, when in actuality, you knew that they were only here to eat Mrs. Morales's food.
Today was spent like any other day when you decided to visit Miles, but something was different.
The both of you were going shopping! Well, you were the one actually doing the shopping, Miles just tagged along because he liked being around you any chance he got.
"Oh! What if we got matching cups?" You asked excitedly, holding up two glass cups with small Spiderman heads printed on them. Your boyfriend couldn't help but cringe at the sight of the cups.
Taking note of this, your excitement slowly diminished, "No matching cups?" You say, slightly disappointed.
Miles quickly looked panicked, "No, I like the matching cup! It's just…can't you pick a different design?" He tried explaining.
"I thought you liked Spiderman, he's super cute!-" You looked back at the glass cups with Spiderman's black suit. Miles paused, not sure if he should be jealous or happy.
"It's just that we haven't done anything together recently and I thought this could be a cute thing for us. Also, this Spiderman is my favorite…" You say in a somber tone, your voice sounding a bit heartbroken.
Miles knew you were trying to guilt trip him into letting you buy the glasses, how many times has he been letting you get away with this? No comment….
"But I- There is no way…"
Miles playfully glared at you and took the cups out of your hands to carry them to the check out, "Oh you suck! You need to stop doing that." Miles said playfully.
"Not my fault you have poor taste in tableware." You say as a smug grin makes its way to your face.

LOSER
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
genre: romance, slice of life, college au, non idol, fluff pairing: smitten boy! soobin x reader warnings: kissing, skinship, soobin's a fool (for you), alcohol use word count: 4.6k summary: when soobin’s a loser who’s also a lover.
“Dude, close your mouth.”
Kai closed his friend’s mouth with a slight push beneath his chin. Soobin blinked a few times, landing on reality as he gulped loudly enough for Beomgyu to hear it at the end of the table. A sighed scaped from his lips as he watched carefully at your laughing self, just in the complete opposite side of the cafeteria.
When did exactly this little crush on you began? If he still recalls… It was exactly two years ago, on your first day at uni. Heavy rain was forecasted for that day, yet it seemed like you hadn’t checked the weather at all as you walked down the hall leaving a trace of waterdrops behind. You were drenched from head to toes, just like you had taken a shower with your clothes on.
Still, Soobin forgot about your drenched self as soon as his classes started. He didn’t see you around probably because you weren’t majoring in photography like him, but law.
He did see you again at the end of the day. He was the last one to leave from his class, taking his sweet time at picking up his stuff and walking to the entrance. Just there, you were sitting on the floor, sheltering yourself from the rain under the roof; all your attention dedicated to the book in your lap and, apparently, no umbrella at all.
Why weren’t you going home? Were you waiting for the rain to finally stop? The answer was: yes. Yet to your luck, it’d been forecasted to rain all night long, too.
She obviously doesn’t know. Soobin thought, twirling the umbrella in his hands. Should I offer to walk her home?
He should have.
Instead, an umbrella appeared in your vision so suddenly. You looked up at the boy, how tall, who was pointing at you with the umbrella and looking away, his ears furiously red. Was he giving you his umbrella? You thought that was the case, so you smiled sweetly at him.
“It’s okay, I can just wait till the rain stops.”
His eyes shifted to you, half his face was covered by the turtle neck of his very puffy jacket. The only thing barely visible were his dark and big eyes, but they also were camouflaged behind a thin curtain of black hair.
“It won’t.”
Oh, that was really bad luck. Walking down the rain two rows in a day? You’d probably wake up tomorrow with a sore throat.
“Still… I can’t just take your umbrella.” You mumbled, tapping your fingertips against the pages of your book. “Thanks though, that’s really sweet.”
“Just take it.” He replied, almost whimpering. Soobin bended down enough to put his umbrella over your book, his eyes flickering into yours maybe less than a second. You got up, furrowing your eyebrows.
“Really, I can’t. It’s yours.”
“I don’t need it.”
“What? But you’ll get soake-
“I’m waiting for someone, so just take it. Go.” Liar.
“B-but”
Before you could protest any more, Soobin turned on his heels and walked back inside. His loud heartbeat was the only thing he could hear. He was sweating; he felt so hot yet outside was so cold it made it malfunction even more.
Ah, yes. That was when his tiny crush on you started.
Now, two years later, you both had never crossed paths again. You had tried to find him the next day to return his umbrella, but with only a pair of eyes to recognize him, you soon gave up.
Would things have been different if, maybe, he decided to be the protagonist of his life and walk you home under the rain?
“Yes.” Kai said.
Soobin bit down an annoyed groan and fixed the pair of glasses sliding over the bridge of his nose.
Soobin was awkward, socially awkward. If you didn’t tell from that time you met him, then you were blind. It was really hard for him to get close to people, yet not impossible as he shared his lunch time with Kai and Beomgyu.
“You’re gonna burn a hole in her.” Kai told him, looking over his shoulder at the girl that had his friend so enchanted.
“Let him be, he hasn’t seen her since last semester.” Gyu said, only focusing on munching his food.
It was true. Last time he saw you had been four weeks ago, on last semester’s day. Of course, he followed you on social media. He could spend a really long time staring at a random story you’d share. Yet, nothing compared to the real thing.
Little did Soobin knew that he would have the chance to see you really up close in the class he dreaded the most, ‘classical civilization: literature, philosophy and politics’. Just the name of the course made his head hurt already, still as to why had he chosen such a class? The answer was very simple: credits.
“It’s this seat taken?”
“Ah.”
You waited for a response, completely ignoring the strange automatic sound that scaped the boy’s lips when you stopped at the free seat next to his. Soobin shook his head and adverted your gaze, feeling his ears burning up. God, they might actually melt.
Soobin sat on the edge of his seat, trying to put as much distance as he could from you as if you had some kind of disease he might die if you were too close. Thankfully for him, you didn’t seem to noticed.
Class started and went on for about two long hours, yet Soobin couldn’t concentrate at all. All his attention was on whatever movement you would do; the way you wrote down whatever you thought was important, the way you would nibble at your lip when you concentrated too much, the way you’d pull the strands of hair that bothered you behind your ear, the way your eyes flickered in his direction and spoke something he didn’t hear.
What?
“Uh?” He blinked a few times.
“I asked if you want to come to my place.”
What the fuck?
You must have noticed the perplexed look on Soobin’s face because once you had picked up all your stuff and turned around to face him again, you cracked a big laugh. Soobin only could wish to be buried alive.
“We’re partners, silly,” You stated obviously. “for the assignment? The one we had to bring in two weeks?” You smiled very amused at the boy. “Were you daydreaming all class?” Yeah, because of you.
“Sorry…” He mumbled. You shrugged.
“It’s fine. But we’re still partners,” A piece of paper appeared in Soobin’s vision. “here’s my number. As I said, you can come to my place to do this. If you’re free, maybe we could start... this Friday?” You adjusted the strap of your bag in your shoulder and checked the time in your cellphone before rushing to the door. “I’m y/n, by the way. Gotta go, see ya, partner!”
Soobin sat there looking down at the piece of paper laying innocently on his desk and the neatly written numbers on it next to a ‘y/n from LPP class :)’. Was this really happening or it was only a product of his imagination?
“So have you texted her yet?”
“… No.”
“Oh my god.”
Gyu snorted, his eyes never living the big screen in front of his face as his fingers quickly shifted over the joystick.
“She’s probably thinking you’ll ditch on her.”
“What? I won’t!” Soobin exclaimed.
“We know” Kai said, putting a hand on his shoulder. “But she doesn’t. You said she caught you on cloud nine all class?” Soobin nodded. “She’s probably thinking you’ll ditch on her.”
“But that’s not it…” He whined not liking the idea of you taking the wrong impression of him. He nibbled down on his lips, thoughts rushing in his mind; he looked up at Kai with eyes full of concern. “What should I do?”
“Text her, dude!” Gyu stated the obvious. “She’s waiting for you to do it, literally.”
“God, okay, alright.” Grabbing his phone from the coffee table in front of him, Soobin searched for your contact and opened the empty chat. His fingers stopped mid-air and he looked at Kai, panicking visibly. “What do I say?”
“You should start with a simple ‘hi’”
“That’s lame.”
“Gyu, shut up.”
“Hi? Hello? Hey? Howdy?”
“Just hi is enough. What do you think about ‘I'm Soobin from LPP class’?”
“Oh, that’s good.”
“Ha! Give me the phone.” Gyu snatched the phone and started tapping at the screen furiously; a big, devious smile on his face.
“No! Don’t do anything-
“And… send!”
“… stupid.”
Kai approached Gyu and looked over his shoulder to the screen, shrugging he gave thumps up at Soobin while smiling.
“It’s not that bad.”
soobin: hey there stranger!
soobin: this is ur boy soobsoob
soobin: soobin from lpp
you: hii
you: i was thinking you might’ve ditched me
you: btw you sound so different over text ???
Gyu laughed out loud like a maniac at your response, while Soobin groaned annoyed. Maybe she’ll think she’s being catfished!
Soobin managed to properly answer you by himself once he locked himself up in the bathroom.
soobin: hey sorry bout that
soobin: my friend kinda stole my phone from me
soobin: just when i was going to text you…
soobin: sorry
you: its fine
you: no wonder it felt like it wasnt you
you: anyways im glad you texted me!!
you: so?
soobin: ?
you: are u free this friday?
you: come to my place if you are
you: or we can go somewhere else if you’d like
soobin: …
soobin: your place’s fine
you: kayyy great ill send u the location later
you: gotta go now
you: kinda busy
you: byebye
“Bye bye.” He mumbled letting out a sigh of relieve. Talking to you over text was easier than in person, of course. Yet it still made him so nervous.
“You got yourself a date!” Celebrated Kai when Soobin walked back into the living room. Gyu cheered.
“It’s not a date.”
“You’re meeting up just the two of you?”
“Yeah.”
“At her place?”
“Yes.”
“Sounds like a date to me.” Said Gyu.
“Right?”
“We’re just doing this assignment!” Soobin exclaimed, red in the ears.
Tumblr media
Friday came over more quickly than you expected. That morning you had woken up especially early to clean up around your house at least a little. The perks of living alone were that no one told you to when to clean up. The bad thing was, no one ever told you to clean up. And as a student living on its own during college days plus working some shifts at night at a grill meat place, time was something that became scarce.
You had just finished getting dress after your quick shower when the bell rang and your phone screen lighted up with a text from the boy outside. Behind the door, Soobin nodded at you and fixed his bangs with his hand, covering almost all of his face with it. You held the door opened for him and let him in.
“I set all up in the kitchen for us, ” You told him motioning for him to follow you. He obeyed quietly and followed your footsteps into the quite cozy kitchen. “I have water, juice, tea and also coffee, which one you want?”
“Um…” He hesitated, feeling the sudden pressure in his chest built up at the attention-your attention all on him. His cheeks warmed up and he mentally cursed when his voice cracked a little. “A tea, please.”
While you poured the tea for him, he put down a cute little box over your table caughting your attention. You sat down after placing a steaming cup in front of him, while he took the seat in front of you. He thought you looked so cute eyeing curiously the box.
“My mum works at a bakery and told me it was impolite to come over with my hands empty.” Wow, he had actually spoke so casually to you. He was so proud and felt so grateful to his mother when your eyes shone after he said that. He carefully opened the box revealing all kinds of patisseries.
“God, I’m so lucky having you as my partner.” You simply said, not really meaning anything behind the words, after tasting the sweets. Soobin smiled trapping his bottom lip under his teeth and giggled softly. “This is so good.”
Time flew once you two starting working on the assignment. At first, Soobin felt so shy to ask you about things he didn’t know but when you caught on the fact that he was short on his Greek and Roman’s basics, you started explaining to him all about it. And he started to like it so much; not really all the democracy's birth and development part, but he liked hearing you talk about something you clearly knew so well and enjoyed.
“Hey…” He said after checking the time on his phone and realizing you had been already three hours working non-stop. Your eyes left your computer’s screen and fixated on him. “What time are you parents coming back?” Your eyes went back to the screen.
“They’re not” You simple answered. “I live alone.”
“Ah, that’s nice.” Replied Soobin, not really processing your words. Once he did, his body froze. Sure, he knew you two were alone till that moment but he was so sure some responsible adult was supposed to come back and watched over you. Now that he knew no one was coming, he couldn’t stop his shameful thoughts as his mouth felt so dry.
“Are you okay? You’re so red”.
“It’s suddenly so hot?”
“Oh, let me get you some fresh water.”
You stood up and filled a glass of water for him. But you didn’t notice the boy getting up and following you so fast behind you, that when you turned around you ended up crashing against his chest and the water ended up all over him. You mouth molded into a perfectly ‘o’ shape watching the drenched cloth stick to his body, while Soobin’s face exploded red. You could almost picture the steam blowing out ofhis ears.
“S-sorry.” You stumbled on your own words while looking up at his face- oh, you were so close. Soobin’s breath got caught in his chest at the sudden proximity; your pretty eyes looked up into his so intensely. He gulped, his hands itching of nervousness-- itching for some contact.
“Bath…room?”
“Down the hall, second door on the left.”
When Soobin got out of the bathroom, you were waiting for him in the small hall with a t-shirt in your hands.
“I’m sorry ‘bout your shirt. You can change into this one if you want.”
“It’s yours?” He questioned holding the shirt in his hands, really curious as it was right his size.
“It was my brother’s, but he doesn’t know I took it.” You showed him a small, playful smile that melted his heart.
Soobin used the shirt he burrowed from you almost for a week, which, Kai thought, was pretty disgusting. Yet for Soobin, the shirt with the scent of you became his small reminder of you at home.
Both of you met up at your place a few more times after that day and finally submitted the assignment when you finished it. After spending so much time with Soobin, you had gotten closer and used to being around him; you got to know him more and learnt a few things about him like how he knew how to make those delicious patisseries he’d brought that one time, or how he had a hedgehog pet and how cute it was curled up in his big palms, and how cute he was.
“Should we go out to celebrate?” You asked him the night you finished working on the assignment. Soobin hummed delighted, clearly liking the idea of going out with you somewhere to enjoy some time, besides the time he'd spent with you doing homework. That’s how both of you arrived that night at the grill meat place you worked at sometimes.
“I’ll cook it.” He said taking over the grill and the scissors. You happily hummed waiting for the food to grill and grabbed a few bottles of soju. When he looked at you pouring down the alcohol in two glasses, he panicked. “M-Maybe we shouldn’t.”
“Please? We worked so hard, we deserved it,” You showed him your amazing puppy eyes and his hand trembled, the scissors visibly shaking. "perhaps you're bad with alcohol? Okay then, I can drink for you.”
“Don’t.” He stopped you before you could swig down the drink and took the glass from your hands, tilting his head back as it invided his mouth. You whistled impressed while his faces twisted in disgust.
That night you both enjoyed the fancy meat and drinks all paid thanks to the employee discount you had. That night you also discovered that Soobin was, in fact, really bad with alcohol.
His cheeks were flushed, as always, but his demeanor was somehow different, not really in a bad way. His eyes didn’t avoided your gaze like usually and instead it fell heavy on you, heavy eyelids from behind his glasses that slipped from time to time down the bridge of his nose.
“Maybe we should take some fresh air to sober up, don’t you think, silly?” You said, helping the boy out. He walked funnily beside you, his head turned in your direction not really looking where he was walking. “Eyes on the road, Soobin.”
“You’re so pretty…”
“You are so drunk right now.” You said, hiding the blush in your cheeks. He whined, his hand grabbing your sleeve’s end and tugging softly at it, wanting you to look at him more.
“You’re so pretty.” He repeated, in a more demanding tone, a pretty pout in his lips.
“Please, watch where you’re going, Soob- hey!”
“Agh… shit.”
You looked down at the poor boy who’d fallen to the floor after tripping on his own feet. He hissed at the pain in his palms against the cold pavement. His glasses had fallen off his face and he suddenly felt the urge to cry out of embarrassment or pain, maybe both.
You got down on your knees in front of him and tried to grab his hands but he whined at the burning sensation in them, pulling away from your touch. His palms were scraped and red. He managed to sit properly and looked at you with trembling lips. Just then you noticed the tears piling up in his eyes.
“Are you okay?” You asked softly while carefully grabbing the unscratched back of his hand and scanning him for some blood or whatever. He sniffed, trying to contain the tears but you being all worried about him made him feel even more vulnerable.
“I’m really sor-sorry.” He started sobbing and the tears rolled down his cheeks. You gasped and tried to wipe them away. You touched him with such a care, like you were scared he might break at any moment. His eyes closed at your sudden touch, so warm, but the tears didn’t stop rolling down his cheeks.
“What are you sorry for, dummy?” You whispered softly, holding his face in between your hands, wiping the tears away with your thumbs. His skin was really soft, you thought.
“You’re right, I am a dummy!” He cried out loud. You panicked even more. You had dealt with drunk people before due to your job, but never had you ever tried comforting a six-foot tall, full-grown baby crying his heart out.
His eyes flickered open and stared at you from behind the tears. His eyelashes wet because of the tears looked so pretty but you felt a little bad thinking that while the boy in front of you cried, the tip of his nose red and his lips gasping for air occasionally.
“You’re so pretty, sob- you’re so pretty it hurts…” He said, almost in pain. You stayed silent, humming at his words encouraging for him to keep talking. His hands softly grabbed each one of your wrists. Your hands were frozen in his face. He looked up at you like some abandoned puppy. “It hurts really bad, y/n”.
“Sorry…” You mumbled under your breath.
“No, I’m sorry I’m such a coward dummy” Soobin pouted. “I shoulda have walked you home that day! But you were so pretty, y/n. Fuck, so pretty and I panicked.”
You had absolutely no idea what this man was talking about, yet all you did was heard him carefully, nodding slowly at his words. You watched him scan your face and bit down on his lip so hard that you feared he might hurt himself even more. Sighting, you grabbed his glasses and placed them back on his face, carefully pushing the hair falling over his eyes away.
“I think we should go back to my place, ‘kay? I’ll make us some warm tea and you can crash if you want, what’ya think?” You spoke at him with such a delicacy that he felt his heart squeezing.
“I’d like that…”
Somehow, you managed to bring Soobin’s drunk self into your place once again. Just after stepping his foot in, he started taking off his coat then his sweater and then stopping while grabbing the end of his shirt, after you had ask him to stop, blood rushing to your cheeks, eyes looking away.
You had Soobin drink the warm tea you made for him while sitting on your couch, him stealing quick glances in your direction from time to time and giggling to himself.
“You’re so pretty.”
“You’re pretty too, dummy.” You answered grabbing the empty teacup from his hands and putting it away.
“Am I a dummy?” He asked knitting his eyebrows, tilting his head slightly to a side.
“Yeah…” You heard his weak ‘oh’ while he looked down at his red palms. “But you’re a cute dummy. Let me help you with this, okay?”
“It burns!” He whined, pulling his hand away from the cotton you had dip in alcohol and were using to clean his palm. You groaned, annoyed, and reached for his hand getting so close to him that he found himself cornered between your couch and you. “S-stand back”
“Gotcha!” You grabbed his wrist and pulled from it, not actually thinking he could pull back which was exactly what happened and why you ended up falling against his chest. You felt him shiver against you, still his hand quickly grabbed your back trying to support your astonished self.
“So-sorry!” You squeaked, your face burning up.
Soobin had sobered a little since the warm tea, but he felt so comfortable being taken care by you he just ended up acting like a little kid. You looked up and couldn’t help it, the way his pretty eyes looked into yours made you so weak, you leaned in a little closer and more planted a quick kiss on his chin.
“????” Soobin covered his reddened face with his free hand, not really getting what you had done. On his chin??? Your lips??? Were so soft??? Do it again??? You analyzed his reaction and grinned softly, before placing another peck on his cheek.
“Are you sober up now?” You asked, playfully brushing the tip of your nose against his warm cheek. He nodded furiously. Then you took a step back and put some distance between yourselves, which he thought was really sad. Then you extended your open palm to him. “Let me see your hands.”
Reluctantly, he let you disinfect his palms. He would hiss and whimper when it really burned, but then shut up after you’d place a kiss on his bare palms. By the time you finished your little task, he wanted to feel your lips on another place. You looked up and smile sweetly at him. What had made you kiss him so many times? Maybe the addictive softness of his skin or maybe the way he’d shake under your touch.
“You feel better now?” You asked him, stroking his soft, ruffled hair. He hummed at your touch and closed his eyes, enjoying it. You nibbled your lip, eyes going down at his own. “You’re so pretty.”
He gasped quietly, surprised, and gulped realizing you had gotten closer to his face. You looked so calm, so relax, so unbothered while he was sure he looked the complete opposite; a nerve wracked, reddened loser.
Again, you pecked his chin, slower this time. Then you went up brushing your lips on his skin until you reached his cheek and placed down another kiss. He sighed, fighting to keep his eyes opened. His hands coyly placed themselves on your waist, mentally fighting not to just embrace you against him completely.
You softly kissed his forehead before going down and placing a kiss on his nose. His eyes looked at you pleadingly from behind his glasses, his lips slightly parting open when you brushed yours against his.
“Soobin, you’re so pretty.” You whispered, placing down your forehead against his. “Can I kiss you, pretty boy?” He nodded.
When your lips kissed his, Soobin felt like the whole oxygen in his body just vanished. The warmth from your lips rushed all over his body. You felt his hands tightened the hold in your waist and pulled you closer, sneaking through an eye you watched him; his eyes closed, his eyebrows softly furrowed. His lips were ten times softer than the skin of his cheeks.
When you tried to pull apart, he pulled you even closer not letting you go. His whole arm hugged you down by your waist, while his free hand cupped your cheek. He finally let you caught your breath after pecking a few more times your lips. One, two, three, four, he didn't want to stop.
You gently caressed his face and he, mesmerized, couldn’t stop looking at you.
“Do you like me, Soobin?” You asked him. He nodded enthralled. “Since when?”
“That time…” He nibbled down at his lip, feeling so embarrassed. “It was raining like, so much and it didn’t look like you had an umbrella.”
You tilted your head. “What? You mean that was you?” You smiled thrilled at him and found so cute the way his cheeks turned red at the remark. Giggling, you planted a kiss on the corner of his lips which made him look at you with those pleading eyes. Looked like he didn’t like being teased. “I still have it, you know? The umbrella.”
“Keep it.” He said, eyes fixated on your smiling lips. You giggled once more and attached your lips together again. He hummed happily and kissed you eagerly. That was how both of you spent the rest of the night, laying down on your couch, he embracing you, you kissing him when he gave you that look, he kissing your cheeks, you kissing his chin, until both were defeated by sleep.

“God, I can’t stand it.” Gyu groaned at the sight of his friend watching at you with his mouth hung open while you just talked. You would stop in mid-sentence, smiled and kiss his cheek, and then continue talking about whatever.
“I think they’re cute.” Kai said. “He’s kinda clingy, tho.”
“We are literally here.” Soobin said, his arms hugging your waist and his chin resting up in your shoulder while you finished your lunch.
“I think they’re jealous.” You said mockingly. Soobin nodded in agreement.
“You should dump him, y/n.” Gyu said.
“Oh, but he’s so cute?” You brushed your head against Soobin’s only gaining the fake throwing up sounds from Beomgyu. Then Soobin reached your ear and whispered, concerned in his voice:
“You’re not dumping me, right?”

My Blessing
Back when Eddie was still human, he used to think it would be incredibly cool to be a vampire. Child of the night, Nosferatu, all that stuff from his beloved books. He would be untouchable and the people who wanted to hurt him just for being different would wither away and die of old age while he'd still be the same. Maybe he'd visit them in their dying hour and sneer at them, taunt them as they were about to see what awaits beyond. All of that used to sound so good.
As he's learned during last 80-ish years, being a vampire sucks (no pun intended).
He sees it all. World wars. AIDS epidemic. Satanic panic. More and more pain, people wasting away before his eyes. The music is cool, but he wonders if he'll grow tired of it all. Eddie is still young, he doesn't want to believe that this is all there is. But each year, each decade makes him more and more hopeless.
And he's so, so lonely. He still has Wayne, his vampire uncle (he categorically denies the term "father" or "maker"), but he sometimes too resigned, too used to all the pain and violence. He doesn't know many other vampires and making any sort of a connection with a human is painful to think about. People are so fragile.
He's always loved turning into a bat and just flying around the city, avoiding the curious eyes of humans and finding lone vantage points, observing the night life on the streets. One of his favorite spots is on top of the Harrington bank, a building from the 1920s with old bronze statues and old, tall windows. He started visiting the ledge in late 1980s, sometimes spending the entire night there. He'd land on the ledge and turn back to his real form, plopping down next to a statue of a young man. It's so human-like, Eddie forgets it's just an object, a piece of art, and talks to it. He tells it about the stuff that has been happening in the world, all that's fucked up but also the good things, how he saw a group of girls chasing away a stalker of a random lady, a homeless guy giving his last few bites to a stray dog. How a kid he used to know in the 80s is now all grown up and has children of his own. He sometimes wonders who made the statue, but there is no signature, no mark, just that pretty face looking down at the street, lost in thought.
It's on a stormy night in 2022 that it happens. Eddie lands in his favorite spot, lights up a cigarette (immortal lungs are a great thing to have) and talks to the statue, as always. Tells it how he actually wrote a novel and got it published, summers are long and the daylight doesn't kill him but it sure hurts, rambles about how he got Wayne his first flannel shirt and it was love at the first sight. The rain is thick, heavy, but Eddie likes it, it makes him feel a bit more alive. He hears thunder, closer and closer, but the lightning is probably somewhere behind him, he doesn't see it.
That is, until it hits the statue, and Eddie panics because sure, it was just an object, but it was like his friend, it was a constant in his life, what is he going to do-
And then the statue straightens its spine and groans.
Eddie's cigarette falls somewhere into the streets and burns a hole in the umbrella of a lady bitching about the undeserved help provided to the poor. Not that he notices. His eyes are glued to the statue that stretches its arms and runs its fingers through the thick hair that suddenly has color, a sun-kissed brown, and then it turns to Eddie and smiles.
"Oh finally, I was waiting for ages to introduce myself. Hi. Thanks for keeping me company all those years. I'm Steve. Steve Harrington."
Eddie shakes the offered hand in daze and mutters "Eddie, Eddie Munson" before promptly turning into a bat and...what? Does he want to run away? Does he want to shriek his little heart out and never come back? Probably not. Not with Steve smiling at him like he's the best thing in the whole world. So he just lands on Steve's outstretched hand and squeaks "Still Eddie Munson, only pocket size."
And Steve, bless his heart - does he have one? Do statues have hearts? - just laughs and tucks Eddie under his old-fashioned jacket to protect him from the rain. "Oh, I know. The first time you landed here and turned back, I thought I'd finally gone crazy."
He opens a window behind them and climbs inside with Eddie, a window that's always been dark, the only dark room in the whole building. And then they talk. Well, Steve does.
That's when Eddie learns the room is Steve's, preserved, stocked and cleaned throughout the decades. That he's the only son of the founder of the bank, Richard Harrington, now fortunately long dead and burning in hell. That even before the Great Depression hit, the bank was facing difficulties and Richard Harrington decided to make a deal with...something. Something ancient and lurking in New York, something feeding off the misery of people living there.
That's when Eddie learns that Richard Harrington offered his only son to preserve his fortune.
He just stares as Steve shrugs, retelling his story as if it was no big deal, finding a change of clothes for both of them in a huge closet full of things both old and new, a strange blend of fashion spanning last century. "It was a deal for one hundred years. One hundred years of prosperity for one hundred years of...that. I guess my father felt a little bit guilty afterwards because he included in his will that I'd always have a place to come back to. This room. And some financial security too, that's what he'd said before he passed away. He used to talk to me through that window sometimes, after my mother drank herself to death."
"Uhhh." Edward Munson, ever the eloquent fantasy book author, has nothing better to say.
He turns back to Eddie, smiling at him and offering a black t-shirt. "I don't think he knew I could hear him, that I heard and saw everything. Still, nice to know he cared...as much as he was humanly able to." The smile doesn't falter as he adds: "I don't want to sound pushy, but maybe you should turn back to change clothes? You're still wet."
And oh, Eddie is still a bat. Yep. With a sound that sounds like a plop, he transforms back and takes the t-shirt. "Thank you. Steve. Uh. That's  fucked up, man," he offers lamely.
"Oh yeah, it sucked. Well, used to," he nudges Eddie, tossing him a towel when he sees his hair dripping on the floor. "But then you started showing up. Talking to me." Now his smile is slightly smaller, sad, and Eddie wants to visit Richard Harrington's grave and punch his remains, build them into a bird feeder, revive the asshole and kill him again. "It was just...so lonely. I had no way of telling you, but when you started visiting and just, kept showing up, almost every day, it felt like a blessing."
Eddie swallows, his throat suddenly dry. "A blessing?"
"Yeah." Steve turns to him and the sincerity in his eyes is so intense Eddie feels like turning into a bat again and flying in circles, shrieking into the night. "You were my blessing, Eddie," he says as he squeezes his hand.
And Eddie just stares, his undead heart breaking for this boy, cursed just as horribly if not worse than he is. "You know I'm not...not human, right?" he whispers but his hand doesn't leave Steve's. "I guess you can probably tell from the bat thing, or that I'm literally the room temperature-"
"-or the fact that you once told me that it's a shame I'm not alive because I look delicious and you're sure my blood would be too," add Steve with a mischievous smirk.
"Uh. Shit, yeah. That too," Eddie stutters, trying to recall all the embarrassing stuff he told Steve during the last thirty or so years. "That...doesn't bother you?"
Steve snorts in laughter and shakes his head. "You literally thought I was a piece of bronze an hour ago, man. Does that bother you? Did you prefer me when I didn't talk?"
Eddie scoffs at that, offended. "Hell no. You were just a pretty face, but now you're a pretty face with a ton of personality. I...you know, you were my blessing too, I think. Even if you couldn't answer, I didn't feel as much alone next to you. Is that weird to say?"
The squeeze of Steve's fingers gives him the answer he needs, but he still melts inside when he hears "not at all. I just hope you won't get bored of me now that I'm...different," he whispers, staring at their joined fingers. "You'll probably find me boring. I don't know much about what's going on outside. I could watch and you told me a lot, but...uh. The world seems so hectic and fast-paced, it will probably take me a while to catch up."
And Eddie has to laugh because that worry is so strange to hear voiced out loud, as if Steve being alive, breathing and next to him, as if that made him something less. "Oh just you wait, Steve. You spent over thirty years listening to me ramble, now I'm expecting at least thirty years of your monologues so we can be even. You know my dirtiest secrets now and I'm a man with a thirst for knowledge. Really," he adds because the young man next to him is still silent, "you have nothing to worry about. I've kept you company and you have done the same for me...and it works for us. So what's a little confusion about these modern days? Come on pretty boy. I will be your guide."
Steve gives him a smile that is so radiant Eddie thinks it should hurt, it should burn him like a torch, but it's just warm. Kind. "I can work with that."
Steve is the only human Eddie ever turns. He expects to agonize over it for much longer, to feel guilty, but Steve has already lived longer than he has and he still has thirst for life that is infectious, something that drives Eddie to join him, try new things, not mourn what is lost to time but be thankful that he has the chance to see it all. He finally wants to participate, to join the world again, not just observe it.
The first time Steve turns to a bat, he ends up flying in circles in absolute ecstasy, laughing and making the weirdest somersaults and loops. Eddie could watch him forever and the best part is - he can. And he does.
But before all that, Eddie brings Steve to see Wayne, to introduce him to his only family. Wayne shakes his hand and gruffly laughs: "Well, look at that. My boy has finally moved on from that statue."
Without missing a beat, Steve smiles at him and announces "oh not at all, sir. I'm the statue."
Eddie has some explaining to do, but for now, he just laughs.

Meant for two
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
one drop turns two, then three as little pitter patter of water droplets start to fall onto the earth as a hand raised out to feel the falling droplets.
"oh. rain."
gojo satoru was currently near the gates of jujutsu tech as he just returned from a mission assigned by his teacher, finishing it begrudgingly. he didn't realize the sky had turned dark as the gloomy clouds hid the bright blue skies.
it's okay, he had his infinity, the rain can't touch him and he won't get wet from it. very convenient if you ask him, though he has to focus and manually activate it, it's definitely a good use for small things like this. never needing an umbrella or having to rush to a nearby shelter, especially sharing an umbrella and getting your shoulder wet from the small space from the temporary shelter.
yeah, his infinity is definitely convenient.
"oh, satoru."
your voice snapped him out of his thought and he shifted his gaze to see you approaching him, grocery bags in one hand and an umbrella in the other.
"you arrived earlier than i thought. i was planning on meeting you by the gates after i dropped off some things since it's raining, but i guess you beat me to it huh." you laughed.
"missed me that much sweetheart?~" the corner of his lips quirked up as he gave you a teasing tone, you rolled your eyes.
"it's raining dummy, didn't want you to get soaked by the rain and get a cold obviously," you huffed. "seems like you got it covered though."
"of course, i'm the greatest after all~" he chuckled.
"of course, how could that slip my mind, even rain can't touch the great gojo satoru," you teased before sighing. "guess you don't need the umbrella then, how convenient. wish i don't have to worry about needing an umbrella when it rains. looks like we don't need to share the umbrella then," you chuckled but that line caused the cerulean-eyed teen to freeze. "let's go, satoru."
you turned to walk back to the dorms, expecting your companion to follow but suddenly he shoved to your side, ducking his head under the umbrella with you.
"w-what the?! satoru, what are you doing?" you stared at him wide-eyed as he stucked his tongue out.
"whoops, looks like my infinity stopped working, seems we gotta share the umbrella now sweetheart~" he wrapped his arm around your shoulder to bring you in closer, "don't want me getting soaked under the rain right?" you rolled your eyes.
"what happened to being so great that even the rain can't touch you?" you teased but he only chuckled and squeezed your shoulder.
"don't worry your pretty little head about it~" he hummed, taking a look at the bags in your hands. "what'chu buy anyways? any snacks for me?~" his hand reached for one to take a peak but you pull it away before he could.
"absolutely not, these are for suguru and shoko."
"aww what," he pouted, sticking his tongue as he makes a thumbs down at you, "booo.."
"oh? guess you don't want these pastries then? i'll give 'em to suguru and shoko too then," you raised the bags to reveal a pastry box stamped with the logo of a local bakery you both frequent to that went unnoticed by satoru and shrugged.
"wha-?! hey!" you snickered, "come one sweets, i've been gone all day working hard and this is the payment i get? cruel," he raised a hand to clutch his chest as he turned his head dramatically.
"i'm just joking satoru, of course these are for you. you did good today," you smiled softly at him as he turned his head back to you to basked in your praise, his arm still around your shoulder tightened a bit.
"let's go then! can't let these pastries lose their freshness now!" grabbing the bags to carry them for you, he dragged the both of you in a hurry to the student living quarters.
"i've just bought them, no need to rush," you giggled.
who needs infinity for small inconveniences like rain when he gets to be so close to you under an umbrella, sharing laughs and spending more time with you. he doesn't even mind that his shoulder is getting wet as long as you were warm and dry, under the temporary shelter with him, touching shoulders.
umbrellas were meant for two anyways.

It was a typical rainy day in New York, and people were rushing through the streets, hiding under their umbrellas or trying to find shelter in nearby buildings. Even though you knew the forecast, you decided to try your luck and managed to get to Patrick's place before the rain started. Now you stood in front of the door of his apartment and cursed yourself as your damp clothes stuck to your body like a second skin.
You frowned and took a deep breath before finally daring to ring the doorbell. When he didn't open the door after almost five minutes, you let out a tired breath, thinking that you probably deserved it and turned around to leave, but as soon as you made a step, you heard the door click and then Bateman's arrogant voice hit your ears harder than a thunderclap from outside.
"Sorry (y/n), I had an important business call—" Patrick paused as soon as he noticed your completely soaked clothes, his perfect face immediately turning angry. "Don't you know how to use the umbrella?"
"I didn't have one."
Bateman let out a tired sigh before rubbing the bridge of his nose to calm himself. "Oh yeah, what am I even thinking? Such a pointless thing to have an umbrella when it's pouring outside!"
His mocking tone caused your small frame to shiver even more, you were already cold and his attitude only made you feel worse. You shifted from foot to foot, hugging yourself and dropping your eyes so that at least now you wouldn't have to deal with his snotty little side glances.
"Get in." He blurted out suddenly, stepping aside for you to enter this fancy apartment. "Go straight to the bathroom."
Damn, you always loved his demanding voice, but now it made you nervous. You hurried into the bathroom, not wanting to ruin his expensive wooden floor with the water running down your trembling frame.
"Strip off and take a hot shower," Patrick added as he followed you, now standing in the doorway with his hands crossed over his chest. "And don't waste that soap again! It's from limited collection and—"
"I know, I won't!" You cut him off, removing your soaked dress. "Maybe you should join me in the shower instead of giving me endless notations?"
After saying that, you turned to give him a challenging look, expecting his mood to change, as it usually did, but this time not a single emotion appeared on his beautiful face. Neither of you wanted to break the awkward silence, but when you finally decided to say something biting, Bateman smoothed his cashmere robe and proclaimed:
"No." His cheesy grin was the last thing you wanted to see, but it was fine. "Listen, (y/n)," Patrick suddenly came closer to you, so that you even had to step back. "Just be a good girl and listen to what Daddy wants you to do, okay?"
As soon as his big, warm palm touched the cold skin of your waist, you almost flinched, but he managed to hold you still, trapping your naked little form in his big arms.
"Will you be a good girl for me?" He whispered, his hand still roaming over your back.
You gasped and dropped your head, unable to stand the way Bateman looked at you with his savage brown eyes.
"Yes..." You wanted to add something, but he wouldn't let you, covering your mouth with his.
Maybe the kiss was too passionate, or maybe it was just the difference in temperature of your bodies, but when you felt his hot tongue sweep along your lower lip, you squealed and grabbed his strong biceps to pull him closer.
"Shh, babydoll." He pressed a thumb to your chin, forcing you to raise your head and look straight into his eyes. "I know what you want."
Jesus Christ, this man was so skillful at testing your limits - making you whine like a little girl who couldn't get what she wanted.
"We'll come back to this later, after you take a shower." His velvety voice was the only thing that mattered at that moment, but then Patrick decided that what he had already done was not enough, so he made you open your mouth so that he could tease your tongue by sucking it really hard. "I promise you."
Bateman couldn't help but grin with satisfaction as he saw you melting under his touch, his ego was about to fly to the moon, but there was nothing you could do about it, he was just irresistible.
When he finally left you alone, you stood near the shower door for a while, trying to pull yourself together. Shivering slightly, you finally stepped under the warm water, which brought you some relief, because you really were very cold. You washed yourself very quickly, because every moment without him felt like torture. Although you couldn't be sure if his words weren't just another game of his, he got what he wanted, and now you were clean and warm as you walked in front of the mirror, looking at your reflection and running your hands over the new robe he had bought just for you.
Later you came out of the bathroom and saw him sitting on his white couch, and it seemed like he noticed you before you could even think about it.
"C'mere, honey…" Patrick purred, tapping the spot next to him. "Did you miss me already?"
You smiled to yourself at how arrogant that bastard was, but you chose to play by his rules nonetheless. "Yeah, I thought about you the whole time I was in the shower."
"Oh yeah?" He asked flirtatiously, watching you take a seat next to him.
You nodded in reply, making yourself more comfortable on the couch as you felt his hand on your shoulders.
"I hope you haven't done anything Daddy wouldn't let you do, have you?"
"Uh, what do you mean?" You darted him your most innocent glance, and you could swear you saw a bright spark in his hazel eyes.
"Awww, don't try to pretend you don't know what I mean." He chuckled, stroking your shoulder before beginning to massage the back of your neck. "Have you dared to touch what is mine?"
God, his words coaxed a loud gasp that fell from your swollen lips.
"N-no, Daddy…" you turned away from his attentive gaze, but he suddenly made you sit on his lap so that your faces were only inches apart. "I'm not lying."
Thrilled, Bateman examined your features for a moment before gently kissing your neck, your toes curling once his pouty lips found the most sensitive spot.
"You need to drink something warm." He urged abruptly, bouncing you onto his lap. "How about I make you a hot chocolate while you pick something to watch?"
"Oh God, Patrick..." You couldn't stop yourself from giggling at how cute he was.
With a sweet smile, Patrick grabbed your ankle to rub it, but then his sneaky hand skittered up to your hip. "Sounds like a good plan for my baby girl?"
"It's even better than you can imagine." You gasped at how shamelessly Bateman stroked your leg. "You know, when I first arrived, I was really afraid you were going to punish me for ruining your expensive floor with water… you looked so angry."
Patrick couldn't stop laughing as he nuzzled against your cheek. "Relax, silly.  I was just worried about you catching a cold, we have so many plans for the weekend. It actually made me upset." He explained to you as if you were a little kid. "You don't want to be in bed with the flu, do you?"
In addition to his words, Bateman decided to tickle your toe, so you had to answer back.
"Stop, stop, stop!" You almost yelped as you couldn't stop giggling. "I'm really sorry!" He paused, expecting you to say something else. "I'll be more careful next time."
"That's a good girl." Patrick gave you a light peck on the nose before standing up, and you let out a sad gasp as you lost physical contact with him. "Sweetheart, I'm only a few feet away from you." He teased when he heard your whimper.
"Okay, okay." You watched him walk away, but then you mumbled: "Patrick..."
"Yeah?" Bateman turned around, and it was only now that you noticed his bare chest as his robe was half undone.
"I love you so much." The way you said those words made your own heart beat so fast.
Patrick just smirked and tittered to himself. "I know, (y/n). To be honest... I would be very surprised if you didn't."
With that he continued on his way to the kitchen, leaving you both embarrassed and happy. That bastard knew what he was doing, every little thing he did always made you feel butterflies in your stomach, every damn time. You laid on your back and looked at the perfect white ceiling above you, thinking how fucking lucky you were to be with the man who managed to fill your life with emotions and sensations you never thought you would experience before.

Enjoy this angst/fluff about neuvillette <3

_______________________________________________
Sitting quietly at one of the many cafes in Fontaine was a daily occurrence for you. You’d often enjoy a cup of tea whilst reading one of the many books you cherished- it was routine.
What wasn’t so common was for it to suddenly down pour amongst the tranquil afternoon you were just enjoying before.
You didn’t hate the rain- in fact you used to be so fond of it. That was before you moved here. Before you became so acquainted with a certain ludex.
With the realization of what the cause of the rain had been, you made haste to get to him quickly; Leaving some mora as a compensation for the inconvenience.
Striding swiftly towards the Opera Epiclese you were stopped by one of the many melusines that accompanied Fontain. She considerately offered you an umbrella whilst demanding you try not to make it habit to run in the rain unprotected. You smiled sweetly at her kind yet reprimanding comment and took the umbrella. With a quick thanks you continued onward- this time with some protection from the droplets that were falling from the sky. Oh how you hoped they weren’t falling from his beautiful eyes too.
Please please, don’t cry.
Finally you found him, standing silently outisde of the Opera Epiclese.
Letting the rain drench him whilst he looked completely lost in thought, hands slightly shaking at his side- you knew he wasn’t okay.
as if the rain hadn’t already made it so blatantly obvious.
You approached him carefully as to not startle him, making your presence known by calling his name softly from a few feet away.
“Neuvi?”
You finally made it beside him and couldn’t help but reach a little higher so your newly gifted umbrella could shield him from the rain.
He stiffened slightly at your nickname for him- almost like he was caught in some embarrassing moment.
He relaxed a bit before turning to face you and immediately he felt a warmness inside as if the sun had appeared in the sky again. Your eyes had glimmered so delightfully, showing so much compassion and concern in just the way you squinted slightly.
You smiled up at him to show him you were here so it was okay now.
‘Hydro dragon, Hydro dragon- don’t cry’
A chant you often sung when it would rain heavily. But nowadays you’d find it better for him to embrace the emotions he bares- for they are what make him part of humanity. He had always struggled with understanding human emotions yet he portrays them so well. However ’Dealing’ with them was the hard part of his learning process. But since you’ve been around, since becoming aquatinted- you have allowed him to feel these emotions to the fullest. Although One feeling you couldn’t bare to see him sulk in was his sadness.
The many trials he’s had to endure recently have become burdensome and have even started to have their effect on his mental being. Neuvillette is known for being passionate about his job and never letting his feelings affect what needs to be done; but once the job is done- once the doors are closed- he’s left with his thoughts and the hollowness in his stomach. What a suffocating feeling indeed.
“You’re going to catch a cold my dear.” He tells you whilst grabbing the umbrella from your hands and covering you both equally as he noticed you were only covering himself.
“And are you not?” You reply seriously with a sigh. “Please neuvi, let’s go home and get you dried and changed.” You reach for his hand and give it a reassuring squeeze.
“Yes dear. I am sorry you had to come find me like this.” He replies while stroking the back of your hand with his thumb ever so softly. He wore a sad expression that you couldn’t bare to see.
You reach up and caress his cheek softly, wiping away the tears or drops of rain- you did not know which.
The crashing tides were unforgiving in life, for everyone and everything; but no matter, you would always be there to save him before allowing him to drown in those waters- in those unrelenting thoughts.
“My love, do not apologize.” You kiss the corner of his mouth, gently and carefully. After doing so, You could taste the salty wetness on his cheek that confirmed he had indeed cried before you found him. Your heart broken at the thought.
You hold his face in your palm a little longer, gently rubbing his cheek. He leans in to your touch while slowly closing his eyes to embrace the feeling. His heart felt warm. Love and adoration danced inside his chest for you just from a simple gesture. As the rain came to a slow drizzle, the clouds started to part slightly revealing the sun ever so slightly.
He smiled.
You were the only one who was able to clear his mind so simply, you made him feel so safe, so heard. As long as he has known you, you have been the only person to have completely fill his heart. He never knew love and he never knew these emotions. It was all so foreign. But you’ve shown him everything, you’ve truly shown him the world and more.
You were the sunshine to his cloudy sky’s.
Oh how he loved you so.

Chapter two.
warnings: none.
Tumblr media
The next morning was gloomy. The classroom filled with people like always and the weak, pale light coming through the windows made it look even more suffocating.
The class started at the usual hour. As he talked i could tell that his accent made his voice sound quite raspier. The humidity in the air made his skin look like porcelain, glistening in the dark of the room.
He made a couple of questions and by the time the class was ending i was quite embarrased i was the only one answering; yes, i was passionate about study but i didn't want him to think i was trying too hard.
He didn't seem to care.
I stepped out of the building about 10 am and as i walked towards the street i saw him getting into his car. It was a dark-green chevy malibu, perhaps from the mid 70's. My fist thought was that, somehow, the car matched perfectly with his looks. Once he was inside he lit a cigarrette just like the day before. Suddenly he raised his head and looked at me, smoke coming out of his mouth. I was embarrased that he caught me staring at him so i began walking faster than before.
a couple of minutes and some blocks before it started raining. Large drops of water fell on every surface of my face and clothes. I hadn't even brought an umbrella and i was carrying all of my books. The sky completely fell apart as if it was laughing at me.
"Fuck. Is there something else that could happen to me, God?" I thought to myself.
Question aswered. Again.
That vintage chevy again, this time coming behind me then driving slowly, almost stopping, by my side. The window opened revealing the silver hair and the blue eyes that were driving it.
"Do you need a ride? It's getting dangerous to walk with this rain". He said, raising his voice a little, for all the water that was hitting the ceilling of the car made a big and loud noise.
"Oh, no thanks. It's just a couple of blocks until the bus stop".
"Well, it seems like you're gonna get there swimming then". He said, with an ironic but concerned tone.
" It's not a problem, really. I don't want to bother you" . I stuttered with a not convincing smile as i kept walking. He kept driving slowly by my side with the opened window, the grey strands of hair starting to get wet.
"Look, i have to drive all across downtown, it's really not a problem".
I stopped walking, looking at him quite ashamed. The water starting to get on my eyes and shoes. I hessitated.
"I don't bite." He said, with a soft smile. The lines on each side of his mouth appeared again.
I laughed at his bad joke and opted for getting into the car.
As i closed the door the watery sounds stopped, the air filled now with silence. It was kind of awkward for me. A student getting into her professor's car?
He looked at me quickly and i met his eyes. Then he lowered his gaze and streched out his free hand to open the glove compartment, positioned in front of my knees. He brushed them unintentionally with his nuckles and i prayed to God not to blush in front of him. Then he took out a pack of cigarrettes and aproached them to me, offering me one.
"How much does this man even smokes?" i thought to myself.
Though i've smoked casually, i said no with my head and then he put one between his lips.
He broke the silence first.
"I have been reading the drafts you submitted in class. They`re consistent, though i have made some remarks for you to work on. I'm sure it's not going to be a problem". He said with the unlit cig still in his lips. Then he reached out for the lighter.
"Well, thank you. I've been working really hard. I guess being the girl in law school kind of obligates you to".
He laughed, kindly. "y/n, isn't it?" He asked, pronouncing my first name with his french accent.
I nodded with a soft smile. My nervious hands gripping my still wet books.
"Ah, l'Etranger, d'Albert Camus" He said, looking over to the novel i had in between my hands. His voice dripping perfectly in each syllable. "Great, great work."
"Isn't it? Existentialism could not kill me even if it tried." I joked badly, looking at his hands gripping the steering wheel. He looked at me and laughed.
We spent the next 15 minutes talking about books, philosophy, his carreer and what was i going to do with mine once i gratuated.
He seemed the kind of man that likes to listen. He kept asking me questions and i was surprised with how much attention he payed to my words, dissecting every phrase and analyzing every tone of mine. He was very funny too. Kind of an ironic humor that matched with mine.
I didn't even notice that it had stopped raining and that we were parked at the bus stop. I looked at him with surprise, which he seemed to reciprocate.
"Thank you so much for the ride".
"Sure you don't need me to drive you home? I still have a trip to make". His tone felt genuine.
"Oh no, you've already done too much. Thanks anyway". I said while i stepped out of the car.
I bent slightly and looked over the window, no clear words passed my mind but i wanted to see him once again.
"See you next class. Oh, and i will email you the corrections soon, okay?".
"Okay". i said, nodding softly. "Thanks, Mr. Renzi".
"Just Vincent". He smiled at me once again and i reciprocated.
He started the car as soon as i stopped the bus with my hand, and i was kind of wishing we were still talking.
next chapter soon.

school just ended and leeseo had to go straight to practice. she was rarely picked up unless it was raining, because her company was a 3 minute walk away. it was a personal choice, she liked her alone time- most of the time it was quiet. sometimes it wasn't and she was crowded by fans, sometimes making her late to practice and getting scolded by the staff.
she was supposed to walk today, but it suddenly started pouring. and her company's car was nowhere to be seen. she was going to be late to practice. again. she sighed. she didn't even have an umbrella and her manager wasn't picking up his phone. what was she gonna do? no one in ive can drive so what was she gonna do? leeseo suddenly felt a tap on her shoulder, she was already irritated, and she didn't want to deal with fans right now.
"did you want to use my umbrella? or i could walk you to your destination," you smiled softly.
her eyes sparkled, "seriously? may i?"
"yeah, of course. i always carry an extra umbrella just in case someone needs one."
"you're a life saver. thank you so much!" leeseo smiled, grabbing your hands and bowing, getting the umbrella from you.
you blushed, you've never had someone hold your hands like this before, especially one of your favorite idols and crush, "u-uhm.. yeah. you're welcome," you were stuttering a lot, it was so embarrassing. she probably thought you were so weird.
leeseo took the umbrella from your hand, thanked you again and left. she suddenly stopped and turned around, smiling brightly, "thank you, yn! i'll give it back tomorrow!"
you were even more flustered than before, she even knew your name? oh my gosh, you felt like you were going to faint. you automatically nodded and waved like an idiot, watching her leave school campus with your umbrella. it felt surreal. then you suddenly felt guilty for not walking her there to make sure she got there safely, especially with all of the rain. but she was way too far for you to even know where she went, maybe next time.
when leeseo got there, wonyoung noticed the umbrella, "leeseo."
"yeah, unnie?" she replied, closing the umbrella and putting it in the bucket.
"whose umbrella is that? because i know for sure you don't own an umbrella that looks like that," wonyoung raised an eyebrow.
leeseo shrugged it off, "a girl from my class."
"your girlfriend?" rei teased.
"our baby has a girlfriend?" gaeul gasped.
"unnie no! she's just a friend!" leeseo groaned.
"yeah, right," yujin laughed with liz.
leeseo groaned, "you guys are so mean."

,, wait for me at the bus station !! ‘‘
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“it’s raining, where’s your umbrella?”
highschool student!Sunghoon X highschool student!gn reader
in a world of soulmates, sunghoon finds his own soulmate in a bus station. || genre fluff just fluff || wc 1.5k || lowercase intended.
“when i first met you my heart stopped beating and i was malfunctioning, i put the blame on you”
Tumblr media
legends say that once you meet your soulmate, your heart stops beating for a few seconds and your eyes are sparkling, for a few minutes you’re in euphoria and you immediately know it’s them.
“when i was your age i met your parent! we immediately knew we’re destined for each other and look at us now!” is the most common sentence among parents who are willing for their children to go and find their own soulmate.
you, a normal high school student wanted to just focus on your studies and nothing more than that, you weren’t looking for love at the very moment and it was the last thing that really interest you.
it was a normal day and you were done with school, you waited at your usual bus station for your usual bus, nothing new. you’re not so popular at school, but you are known by some students, nevertheless, you don’t have much friends and you’re usually just going straight home after school. you are the only one from your school that goes to this bus station so you’re always alone.
you took out some leftover gimbap from your bag and started eating while listening to some music in your earphones, that’s the thing you liked the most about going back home from school, when it’s just you and the music.
“……excuse me?” you heard someone calling over. you looked at the person who might be asking for help and as soon as you made eye contact, it was like the world stopped.
the cars that were passing by suddenly stopped moving and the music in your eyes stopped playing, you held your breath. an euphoric feeling suddenly attacked you as you felt a rush of excitement in your body.
it suddenly stopped and you cleared your throat, looking at that person again. he looked like an angel from above, he was so handsome and it hurt, everything was just so perfect about him. oh no……is he…..?
“i’m sunghoon, i noticed your uniform so i guess we’re studying at the same school” he smiled.
sunghoon was looking at you carefully, you were too beautiful for him to believe, he too felt the euphoric feeling and immediately understood that you’re the one the universe chose for him.
sunghoon is very popular amongst the students in your school, he was shocked to see you, wearing the same uniforms as him and somehow the two of you only now realize that you’re soulmates.
sunghoon recently moved houses and his usual bus station suddenly changed since the way back home changed as well. “ah….yeah i guess” you played it off cool, as if you didn’t just realize that he’s your soulmate.
sunghoon was about to say something else but noticed that his bus finally came. he went on the bus without saying anything else.
what’s with this guy…? you thought to yourself.
next day came up and again, you were sitting in your usual bus station, listening peacefully to music while closing your eyes and vibing with it.
that was until you heard the same voice you heard yesterday, “hey again” you heard and looked at the person who just spoke. “it’s you again” you said out loud.
“well, i changed my usual bus station and this is my new regular bus station now, we’re going to see each other a lot now” he said. you nodded and continued listening to your songs. you honestly didn’t know what to do with the fact that you just met your soulmate and decided to just ignore it nicely.
“hey i never got your name…..” he spoke yet again. “y/n” you shortly answered. “class?” he asked. “11-1” “no way! we’re the same age! how come i never saw you?” he asked confusedly.
“isn’t it your bus?” you asked as you saw the same bus he took the other day. “no, funny story, i accidentally took the wrong bus yesterday, it’s all still new to me” he giggled. his giggle made you smile a bit.
“back to our conversation….” he turned to face you as you were already looking at him. you spent twenty minutes talking together, slowly you opened up to him and joked together with him, the whole conversation happened while you were sharing eye contact, without even looking away for once.
from afar you saw your bus and you suddenly saddened. “my bus is coming” you frowned. sunghoon looked at his back and then turned to you, “that’s the bus i’m supposed to take too!” he excitedly said.
you two went on the bus together and kept chatting and joking.
the next few days ended with sunghoon dropping you off at your house and continuing to his house after you two recently found out you were actually living really close to each other.
days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months and with each day that passed, you and sunghoon got closer to each other. every day you would spend your school time and way home together with him, and it always somehow made you feel ten times better.
it was the winter season and you were waiting at yours and sunghoon’s usual bus station, “whenever you feel sad, remember that by the end of the day, we’re seeing each other again at this very place, our bus station” sunghoon once told you and you giggled.
“and yah! if you finish school a bit before me you better wait for me at the bus station!” he said in all seriousness. “my rides back home won’t be the same without you” he sulked and you giggled, comforting him that you would wait for him as much as he need.
as you were waiting, the rain started pouring. “i didn’t bring any umbrella with me” you bit your lips, luckily you were under the bus station’s roof so it covered a bit from the rain drops, but somehow it wasn’t enough and slowly you got wet. “where’s sunghoon…?” you asked worriedly as he wasn’t showing up.
you know he came to school today, ever since you started getting close, you two are basically doing everything together, even at school. eating lunch together and even making sure to change your lockers’ location so it’ll be one next to the other. the other students were obviously jealous of your friendship and kept talking about you two nonstop. “i bet they’re soulmates, they’re a true match!” “agree, they’re doing everything that couples do!”
you looked at the clock and it showed 7:05PM. you finish studies at 6:45PM usually and arrive to the bus station five minutes later, which means you’ve been waiting already 15 minutes for sunghoon.
the rain started to annoy you and you were putting your hand over your head to cover the rain drops from ruining your hair completely. you sat on the bench there and looked at the road. you looked to your side to check if the bus was coming but instead you saw a figure running to the station with an umbrella.
“is that….?” You said, “y/n!!!” you heard sunghoon’s voice shouting your name while he was running. you immediately smiled widely and ran to him. “sunghoon! where were you?” you asked worriedly.
he covered you with his umbrella, you were standing under the same umbrella together, a bit too close to each other.
“y/n! it’s raining, where’s your umbrella?” he worriedly asked. “i didn’t bring one, i didn’t know it was going to rain” you smiled. “you might catch cold are you crazy! look at you all soaked with water” his eyes worriedly looked at you. “i’m okay, don’t worry about me, let’s go to the station and wait for the bus!” you held his hand and you walked together to the station.
after a few minutes of sitting there doing nothing, you decided to speak up. “you know…..i know that we’re soulmates…” you just felt like saying it and it came out naturally. “i know, when i first met you my heart stopped beating and i was malfunctioning, i put the blame on you” he made you two giggle a bit.
“other than being soulmates and having natural attraction for each other because we are soulmates, i really like you, i liked you for a long time actually, when we first realized we’re soulmates of course i felt a bit more attracted to you, but all of the time we spent together really made me like you even more” you confessed.
“i’m glad you feel the same as me y/n, i’ve liked you already on our second meeting” he smiled and locked your fingers together.
you two shared eye contact for a few minutes before your bus finally came and you went on it. in the bus you were smiling widely, resting your head on his shoulder and looking outside of the window.
you shared comfort, and your love for each other was stronger than anything else in the world.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: stuck at school after forgetting to bring your umbrella, you meet the ace soccer player everyone has been raving about and he offers to help you get home
word count: 1.6k
content: gn!reader x chigiri hyoma, fluff, bookworm reader, running is not for the weak, a hint of comedy if you squint
author's note: I said I wasn't going to write another one for a while cause of school but this idea suddenly popped up in my head and I ended up writing it in one sitting when I had some free time last night.
Tumblr media
You didn’t expect it to be raining this hard right now. The weather app you checked earlier today said it would be cloudy at most, so you didn’t bring an umbrella. You’re currently standing behind the school’s door, taking cover.
You stayed back today for some additional studying for one of your classes. When you got done and were making your way to the school's front gate, it started pouring hard, leaving you with no choice but to run back into the school’s building.
“It’s really pouring down. It doesn’t look like it’ll stop anytime soon either.” You thought. This starts making you feel a little stressed. You had to be home before 7 to help your parents with some errands and this rain is going to delay you for possibly who knows how long. Pacing back and forth the door, you start brainstorming on ways you can make it back on time with this storm. However, no solutions were coming to your mind. You didn’t have an umbrella, you only had this thin school uniform cardigan, and your backpack was too heavy to be carried above your head. You start thinking of just making a run for it but your house is like 15 minutes away by walk.
“Ughh, seriously.” You grumbled and that’s when you saw another person walk up to the door and peek out the windows. If it wasn’t for how famous he was around the school, one could mistake him for a girl at first. The long, silky red hair was styled up with a braid on one side. He had long lashes and marbled red eyes. Of course, only those pretty features could belong to none other than Chigiri Hyoma, the ace soccer player. You never got the chance to talk to him around school due to the fact that he was always busy with soccer or was too into his own thing for anyone to interrupt him. That didn’t stop others from trying to befriend him though. There was always someone wanting to create that special friendship with him. He was kind you guessed. Or should one say, he was indifferent? Yes, he was kind in regards to the way he responded to people and helped out whenever he needed but you’ll never catch him being the first to reach out to anybody. He talked but kept his distance.
“Hm, I didn’t bring my umbrella today.” He said as you see him digging into his bag.
“I forgot to bring mine too.” You said, striking a convo.
You’d be lying if you said you never wanted to talk to Chigiri Hyoma. There’s this enchanting aura around him that one just can’t help but be drawn into. However, you never wanted to disturb his peace. To you, it felt like the two of you were in different leagues. There wasn’t really a need to talk to him even though you wanted to. You figured there just wasn’t anything you both had in common. You two were too different.
“Really? I guess we’re stuck here for a while.” He replied and sat down on the floor near the door. He then proceeded to take out a book and read. You gasp at the sight because he’s reading one of your favorite books.
“You know that book?” You eagerly asked with fleeting hints of excitement.
“Yeah, I take it that you do too?”
“It’s one of my favorite books! And the author is one of my favorite authors.”
“Oh? This is my first novel from this author. It’s really good so far. Can you give me recommendations for their other work?”
“Of course!” You exclaimed and gave him a list of all the books you enjoyed by that author.
“Thank you. I’ll get to these soon after I finish this one first.”
“I didn’t know you enjoy reading novels, Chigiri.”
His eyes widen at this and his expression starts turning bashful. “Sorry, this is really embarrassing on my part. I apologize but… Have we met before?”
That’s when you realized, you had just addressed him by his name already when you both haven’t even introduced yourselves yet. Embarrassed, you try to find a good explanation so you don’t look like some weird stalker or fangirl to him.
“No, sorry! We haven’t met before! I’m sorry for addressing your name right off the bat like that when we haven’t even introduced ourselves. I’m not a stalker I swear! It’s just…. hard not to know who you are when everybody around me talks about you… I’m sorry again.”
“Ah, I see. No worries, there’s no need to apologize. It’s nice to meet you, uhm…?”
“Y/n! I’m L/n Y/n.”
You joined and sat in front of him and the two of you began to chat a bit more, mostly about the novels you both have read and you were surprised to learn that Chigiri and you actually share something in common. He didn’t seem like the type to be into reading. You always thought soccer was all he ever thought about.
Getting carried away by the unexpected conversation with the red-haired boy, you started to lose track of time until a notification from your phone reminded you of the time.
“Ah! The errands!” You yelped and quickly got up.
“So sorry, Chigiri. I gotta run some important errands for my parents at home.”
“But it’s still raining hard outside.”’
“I know but it’s really urgent. I guess I just have to walk home in the rain.”
“You’ll catch a cold like that.”
“Yeah, but still-“
“I have an idea.”
“Oh?”
“Are you up for some running?”
Silence immediately fell after he asked that. Is he serious? Running? With him? That’s like the Tortoise and the Hare except the tortoise actually doesn't win the race this time.
You blinked at him, baffled. “… Don’t tell me you want me to run with you. You are aware of your capabilities compared to others right?”
He laughs at this. “I know. Don’t worry, I won’t run too fast. I’ll match your speed.”
“Then that’s a walk, Chigiri.”
To that, he gave a belly laugh which made you blush a little because even his laugh was pretty too.
“I know you can run, Y/n. Here’s the plan, we’ll run and take cover at any nearest cover we find and continue to the next cover we find. That way, we won’t get as wet. Just be careful because the roads can be slippery.”
“That sounds like a good plan. Okay, fine. I’ll run.”
You two open the school’s door and scan around the area. The school gates were up ahead and near the school gate was a bus stop shelter. You pointed at it and said, “There. That can be our first cover.”
“Good, let’s go,” Chigiri said and on a count of 3, you both started running towards it. He said he was going to match your speed. He probably is trying to match your speed but without even applying any effort into his running, he still runs abnormally fast. It’s more like he has to put in effort if he wants to match your speed instead. You weren’t a slow runner, more average you would say but compared to someone like Chigiri, it’s beyond slow.
To no one’s surprise, he made it to the cover first and you soon followed, 4-5 seconds behind.
“What a way to match my speed, Chigiri.”
He sheepishly rubs the back of his neck before saying, “Sorry, I tried.” And you couldn’t help but laugh at that.
“It’s fine. It was expected anyway. Let’s find our next cover.”
“That one over there.” He pointed at a shop nearby with an awning cover.
“Okay. Ready, one, two, three!” You both start to sprint again but before you have the chance to run, Chigiri reaches over to your hand and grabs it, pulling you along with him as he runs. Your head does a hard whiplash at the sudden jolt of speed and you nearly yelp at how fast you suddenly had to run.
“Chigiri! Ahh!” You yelled out.
He managed to successfully drag you to the shop faster than you can ever imagine. You were panting at this point after having to match his speed. He releases his grip and lets you crotch down for some rest.
“If I can’t match your speed, you’ll have to match mine.”
“That’s not how it works?! I’m human!”
“… I am too, Y/n.”
“This was a mistake. I knew it was a bad idea as soon as you brought up running.” You said through pants. Man, were you tired but you have to admit, this was really fun. It’s just something about running around in the rain with someone that gives you that giddy feeling. It’s so cliché but it’s so fun. You let out a laugh at this thought.
“Finally rested up? I found our next cover.”
“Heh. Chigiri, Thank you. This is really fun. We should do this again sometimes.” You suggested. You wanted to do something like this again with him. You felt happy. Happy that you finally got to talk to the Chigiri Hyoma that everyone always raves about. Happy that you two actually have something in common and learning he was much more than just soccer. Happy that he genuinely seemed like he enjoyed your conversations and that it wasn’t forced upon him.
“We can’t be doing this every day now. I’ll catch a cold and that’s not good for a soccer player… But I don’t mind doing something like this again. Without the rain.”
You look up at him after he said that and chuckle. He looks down at you and cracks a smile.
“Ready now? I’m not slowing down for you this time.”
“Bring it on, princess.”

Special To Me: Part One
Tumblr media
Plot: After a long and tiring day, you feel as though the world is against you. And when you get stuck in the rain, you feel it even more so. Until, someone with an umbrella and bright smile comes to your rescue.
-Part Two-
Pairing: Jeong Yunho x Gn!Reader
-Meet Cute Series-
Warnings: Brief mention of a toxic ex-boyfriend. PSA I do not condone following random men to their apartment just because they tell you too (but I mean, it's Yunho, so, a bitch just might 👀)
Words: 2.7k
Tumblr media
The exhaustion running through you had taken it's toll already. Your steps were slow and a bit clumsy. Your grip was lax on your bag as you made your way towards the bus stop.
First your car broke down, leaving you to ride to work on the bus, causing you to be late. Then your less than understanding boss yelled at you. Later, you were piled with more work than you had time, and you spilled coffee on your top.
Half-way through your day, your ex-boyfriend somehow got a hold of your new phone number and sent you a bunch of toxic and hurtful messages. Only reminding you of just what you escaped from when you had ended your relationship.
And to top it all off, when you had gone outside to take your break, you tripped and dropped your phone, successfully shattering it.
As you approached the bus stop, you tried to remind yourself that soon you'd be home, and soon this horrible day would be over.
Seeing the bus stop ahead of you, you thought it was odd that no one was there. Checking your watch, you frowned. You weren't late. Maybe the people who took the bus got off work later then you?
The reality of what was really happening hit you as you saw the sign above the stop.
'Bus Cancelled due to Delays'
"You've got to be kidding me" You muttered, feeling your chest tighten.
You looked around, seeing no one nearby to tell you if there was another bus stop nearby or if those stops were cancelled too.
Reaching for your phone to call an Uber, you suddenly remembered it was busted. Your chest tightened as you felt emotion welling up in your throat.
You took in a deep breath, trying to push your feelings aside. 'Maybe someone will come by? Or I could walk back to that store down the street and ask to use someone's phone there'
You were going over the options in your head, when you suddenly felt a somehing hit your cheek.
Pausing, you reached up and touched it, feeling the wet drop. Looking up, you noticed the overcast sky had grown significantly darker.
"Don't you dare." You said, a lump forming in your throat just as another rain drop landed on your forehead, followed by another, before the steady sound of light rain surrounded you.
Looking around, you saw nowhere to take shelter, even the bus stop was not a covered one.
"Oh come on!" You said loudly, your voice cracking as you stood there, defeated as the emotion you had tried to push away started to bubble over.
Looking up, as the rain started to slowly soak you, you felt tears start to form in your eyes.
Tumblr media
Yunho opened his umbrella the second he felt a raindrop hit his shoulder. He began humming lightly to himself as he headed back to his dorm.
Looking around, his eyes caught on a familiar figure across the road. Yunho stopped, confusion washing over him.
'What are they doing?' He asked himself as he looked at you.
He had seen you on a few occasions near here. Buying flowers, or talking to the bookstore owner. You always had a bright smile and charming demeanor.
Every time he saw you, he felt a smile tug at his lips. He always wondered if one day you'd be on the same side of the road. And if he'd have the courage to say hi to you.
But now, as you stood in the rain, face turned up to the sky you looked so defeated, he almost didn't recognize you.
He wasn't sure why, since it was raining and he couldn't really tell, but he had a feeling you were crying. And his stomach twisted as he watched you.
Before he really realized it, he was crossing the street, and heading right towards you.
'This has got to go down as one of the worst days in my life' You thought to yourself as you remained still, no longer caring that you were soaked, or that you were alone and stranded.
Trying to suppress the tears that continued to spill, you suddenly heard the sound of rain hitting something, as you no longer felt the drops hitting your face.
Slowly, your eyes fluttered open, and you saw above you, an umbrella. Your eyes moved to the person holding it, and your breath caught.
He was tall, handsome, and you felt as though you had seen him before. He smiled at you, and you felt as though warmth was radiating from him.
You stared at him in silence for a moment, processing what was happening, before you stuttered out "Th-thanks"
When your eyes fluttered open and met his, Yunho felt butterflies in his stomach. And when he noticed your reddened eyes and fallen face, he knew he was right in thinking you had been crying.
His smile widened a bit, and then he spoke, his voice deep, but soft. "Are you okay?"
You opened your mouth to speak, ready to smile and lie, pretending as though your day hadn't been plotted by the devil himself.
"Yea-" you scoffed softly, giving in "No not really"
He tilted his head slightly and you saw worry mixed with pity cross his face. His eyes moved to the nearby bus stop and you saw the moment he saw the cancelled sign as he nodded a bit.
His eyes snapped back to you "I'm Yunho."
"Y/n."
Yunho felt his heart tug a bit as he decided that your name fit you perfectly. And he felt the overwhelming desire to hug you as he saw the pure defeat across your features.
Even with the annoyance that would come with a cancelled bus, he could tell there was more to why you looked so dejected.
You watched as Yunho's smile got a little bit brighter before he reached down and wrapped his hand gently around your wrist.
"Come on!" He said with soft enthusiasm before he tugged you long.
Your heart started to pound as you followed, though uncertain why you were "W-what? Where are we going?" You asked with an uncertain tone.
"My apartment is just around the corner, I'll get you a spare umbrella and a cab." he said softly as he looked back at you and smiled.
You let him continue to lead you towards his apartment. Your mind was racing, as you were certain following a stranger to his apartment was never a good idea.
But you weren't sure if it was the exhaustion or general defeat that had washed over you, you weren't afraid. Nothing about Yunho told you to run, so you let him lead you as he held his umbrella over the both of you to shield you from the rain.
If he did turn out to be a creep, you had dealt with enough today you don't think you'd have a problem with hitting him if needed.
Yunho could tell you were confused, and even a bit alarmed at his sudden actions. But you weren't pulling away or showing any real fear, so he hoped you could trust him enough to help you.
"Why are you helping me?" You asked softly after a few moment, as you looked up at him while you continued down the road, his hand still gently wrapped around your wrist.
Looking down at you, his eyes seemed to study you for a moment before he smiled "Because I like it better when you're smiling"
Your heart jolted in your chest as you stared at him, though he turned his face away from you again. What did that mean? Did he know you? Was that why he seemed familiar? Or was it a weird pick up line?
Before you could gather your thoughts and say anything in return, Yunho lead you into an apartment complex.
You stayed silent as you let him lead you into an apartment. Looking around the entry way, you noted it was very nice, and obviously too big for one person. How many roommates did he have? Or maybe it was his families home? Maybe he lived here with his partner?
Slipping off your shoes, you stood in the entry as you watched him walk further into the apartment. After a moment, he stopped and looked back a you, noting how you awkwardly stood there.
He rose his brow a bit and you looked down at yourself "I don't want to get your floor wet."
He chuckled and you felt your lips tug at the sound.
"I'll get you a towel, hold on."
You watched him quickly disappear into the apartment and you looked around. 'I wonder if there is anyone else here? What would they think if they came out and found me here?'
Hearing approaching footsteps, you watched Yunho appear again, a few towels in his hands.
As he handed them to you, you smiled sheepishly at him "Thank you."
Seeing your eyes wander around a bit as you wrapped one of the towels around your shoulder Yunho spoke up "My roommates are all out right now."
You nodded, pretending as though you hadn't been wondering who else lived here.
"Once you dry off a bit, I'll help you get a taxi."
You figured he knew why, but not wanting there to be too much silence, you spoke up "How did you know I needed one?"
"I saw that the bus had been cancelled."
"Oh." You said softly as you nodded "I would have called one myself, but...I dropped my phone earlier, it wont even turn on now."
Yunho winced at bit at this, knowing just how upsetting that could be. He added that to the list of reasons you must seem so down.
"Can I ask you something else?" you added on as you met his eyes.
He nodded encouragingly, as a soft smile crossed his face.
"What did you mean when you said 'I like it better when you're smiling'?"
Yunho chuckled awkwardly as he looked down on his feet. "Uh, I just meant- well, I see you pretty often when I'm walking home and you always seem so happy, but today..." he looked at you as he trailed off.
You looked down at yourself and chuckled "Yeah, you don't need to finish that thought."
He giggled softly, before he tilted his head a bit and spoke softly "Can I ask what happened?"
You hesitated for a moment, but opened your mouth to speak.
Suddenly he rose his hand "Actually, first, come in." He motioned for you to come further.
You hesitated and he smiled "Don't worry about getting anything wet, it's fine, come on, I'll get you some coffee, or tea?" He gestured for you to follow him as he made his way into the apartment.
Slowly, you followed, feeling somewhat as though you were trespassing.
Tumblr media
Sitting at the kitchen counter, warm mug in your hands as you now donned clothes that weren't yours, you felt comfortable, yet still troublesome.
As though you were getting in Yunho's way, even though he was the one who insisted on you staying while he dried your clothes. He even gave you some of his clothes to wear while you waited.
After Yunho had made you a hot drink, he sat down across from you and listened patiently as you told him all that had happened to you today. At first you thought of only sharing small details, but quickly, you found yourself telling him everything.
All the while, he listened intently, genuinely curious and empathetic. He gave comments here and there about your boss being too stubborn and not understanding enough when your car breaking down wasn't your fault. And when you brought up your toxic ex, you hesitated before speaking slowly.
"He just...knows exacly what to say to make me feel as bad as possible.
Yunho frowned and shook his head a bit "How did he even get your number?"
You let out a soft sigh "I have a feeling it was a friend of mine. They never really believed all the bad things I said about him. He's good at hiding his true colors around people."
"Well if they were a real friend, they would have believe you, you deserve better."
You let out a soft airy laugh as you looked down into your drink.
"So...do you regularly bring in strays and give them a hot drink and a pep talk?"
Yunho grinned at this, "No, you're the first."
"Ahh" you said softly feeling your ears get warm "I must be special then" You joked as you sipped our drink.
Yunho's smile turned soft as his eyes seemed to glisten a bit "You are." His tone was soft yet genuine.
You felt butterflies in your stomach as your heart raced. It was obvious on your face, this effected you, as you smiled and looked back down into your drink, suddenly finding it very interesting.
Yunho grinned at noticing how his reply effected you. 'Cute' he thought to himself before he stood up straight.
Suddenly feeling an unusual amount of courage, he cleared his throat and spoke "There have been a few times when I saw you at the flower shop when I was walking home. And I almost crossed the street just so I could see you closer. I wanted to talk to you, to maybe have one of those bright smiles directed at me."
You looked back up at him, your eyes widening with his confession. Your heart was pounding, and your ears burning. He really thought that way? You effected him like that?
"But- I wasn't sure if you'd want to talk to me, or if you'd get scared by me approaching you." He admitted, his voice now wavering a bit as he started to feel self-conscious.
You smiled brightly at him and he felt his heart jump "I wouldn't be scared. I mean, I did willingly follow you to your apartment" he chuckled and you continued "And I would have talked with you. I could tell the second I saw you today, you're kind. I would have loved talking to you."
He couldn't stop the smile that grew on his face, and you chuckled, glad you were having a similar effect on him as he had on you.
He leaned down against the counter, leaning on his arms "Does that mean I can cross the street to talk to you now?"
You leaned a bit closer "I think I'd be offended if you didn't."
He laughed as your eyes met, something passing between the two of you you couldn't quite place.
Hearing Yunho's phone go off, your eyes broke away as he looked down. You saw his face fall for a second before he smiled again and looked at you "Your taxi's here."
"Oh." you sat up, having almost forgot he called you one. "My clothes-"
"Aren't done yet" Yunho finished for you as he looked around "Uhh- I could... if you give me your number, oh wait...your phone."
You chuckled awkwardly "Yeah, my phone." After thinking for a second you met his eyes "Are you doing anything tomorrow around two?"
He shook his head "How about we meet at the flower shop and we can trade clothes back?"
Yunho smiled and nodded his head "Alright, sounds good."
As Yunho walked you to the door, handing you and umbrella to take as it was now pouring outside, you looked back up at him and smiled, one of the most genuine smiles you had today.
"Thank you Yunho. For helping me, and caring. You made today about a hundred times better than it could have been."
"Only a hundred?" He asked with a sarcastic tone "I'll try harder next time."
You chuckled your face warming up due to his comment as he grinned down at you.
"I'll see you tomorrow."
He nodded "Tomorrow."
As you walked down the hallway, Yunho watched you for a moment, his thoughts already on tomorrow when he'd see you again.
He felt a little guilty at the thought of having lied to you. Your clothes had in fact already finished drying, but he wanted an excuse to see you again.
He felt a little guilty, but only a little.

The wind blowing against your sensitive skin gives you goosebumps. the raindrops that bounced off the ground made you take a few steps back under the roof of the school terrace. Feeling of restlessness and regret arises for forgetting to bring an umbrella.
You sigh thinking of ways to get home without getting wet. You have asked your friends to share umbrellas but they are already full. And your best friend Reo has practice today. And to be honest don't want to face him right now. You can't. Not after what you just did.
A tap on your shoulder interrupted your thoughts.
"Haah, sorry, have you been waiting long?" He asked with panting breath.
You frowned. Questioned why he was here.
"Reo? What are you doing here? Don't you have practice?"
"Ah, practice got cancel today" He said as he fixing his bun hair. One of his habits that makes you like him even more.
"Oh"
A bunch of girls pass by you and and greet Reo.
"Reo go home savely! Don't forget to eat the chocolates i made~"
"Reo-senpai otsukaresama~, read my letter ok?
"Reo-san see u tomorrow~"
Reo just said thank you and smiled at them. But deep down he was irritated by those noisy chirping. But he can't show it, not infront of you.
"Should we go now?" He asked
"What do you mean? Aren't you going to be picked up by car? or together nagi?"
He gasped. "Ouch, today is valentines day and MY DEAR best friend refused to come home with me" he said by dramatizing his words and his voice made it sound like a deep hurt. Put his hand oh his chest.
You sighed. "I didn't say no Reo. I also didn't bring any umbrella with me"
Reo stared at you for a moment. He opened his bag and took his umbrella and opened it.
"Well? I guess we have to share umbrella, huh?" He grinned.
"How did you get an umbrella? You never bring it before" you ask suspiciously.
"Hmm, doesn't matter"
You rolled you eyes, though your heart starts beating so fast. "C'mon, we need to walk faster before the rain get worse". Just started walking a few steps Reo suddenly grabbed your shoulder.
"Get closer, you'll get wet"
"Oh yeah, thanks"
After a while, you two walk without saying anything. There was only the sound of raindrops and the stomping of feet on the muddy ground from both of you.
"You're a little quiet today, we haven't talked much." He finally talked. His words made you flinch a little.
"Oh, sorry.. it's just today it's valentines day.. and people have been around you all day to gave you presents. Unlike you, nobody gave me any presents or chocolate... I just keep a distance to not bother you."
It's honestly makes you sad and insecure about it. You feel like you don't pretty enough and doesn't deserve to be Reo's side.
"Huh? Don't do that! You're not bothering me! Stop keep a distance on me okay? We've been friends fo long. No need to hold back like that. And who cares about the present or chocolate?! If you something you could just ask me, i'll buy a whole chocolate factory for you!" He annoyed. He's not joking tho. He would , if you ask him to.
You chuckled. "Okay okay Reo"
He smirked. "I got a unique present in my locker today"
You gulped. "Yeah? What is it?"
"A lego flower"
Fuck.
"With a small letter"
Tumblr media
Nervousness devours your body. You play your fingers trying to distract yourself.
"You're so lucky. It needs days or all night to make lego flower" you said trying to calm yourself.
His smile widened, he even bit his lower lip to hold it in. His face getting red. He looked away so you wouldn't see him. Then he turned back to you embraced you closer to him make your bodies touch. His hand was still tightly gripping the handle of the umbrella.
"Hmm you right.. maybe i should accept their feeling? You have any idea who send this, Y/n?" He whispered right to your ears. Makes your back shivered and whole body heats up. You pushed Reo a little from you.
"Ugh why would i know? Don't pulled me like that"
"Sorry. But.. something off about this person"
You and Reo walk back down the street to your house which is in the same complex. The rain has started to subside.
"How?" You asked
"I wonder how the person put it in my locker. Nobody knows the code except me, nagi.. or you. Well it couldn't be Nagi, he's with me since the morning"
"Re-really? Could there be a stalker? Maybe it's one of your fans?"
"Eh, i should be more carefull then"
You both fell silent as you continued walking. You turned to Reo and stared at his beautiful feature. He is a tall young man with a lean and strong build. He has chin-length purple hair, his tied in a high bun, leaving two locks of hair framing his face. And also his bright purple eyes. Until your eyes catch something.
"Reo! Y-your shoulder is getting wet!" You panicked and push the umbrella to cover him up. But he gripped it tighter and pushed it in the opposite.
"Ah, it's fine. I'm gonna take a shower anyway." he said casually.
"But-"
"Shhh, let's walk faster."
His right hand grabs your hand and dragged you. The grip of the left hand never left tge the umbrella handle. Splashes of water stain your shoes up to your calves makes them dirty. But you don't care. What you care about right now you and Reo are holding hand and running through the rain. You both laughters are buried by the sound of the rain. But as long as you guys can hear each other that's enough.
"Haahhh finally we arrived" he groaned.
"Well we are arrived at MY house. Your house still a couple blocks from here." you said
He raised his one eyebrow. "So? It's still the same. C'mon" he dragged you into your house. Opened the door for you to enter first, then closed the umbrella first and put it in the basket. He immediately closed the door so that rainwater does not enter into more of the house.
"Where's your mum?"
"At aunt's"
You opened you shoes and he followed. When you were about to take your shoes and his to put them in the shoe rack, he stopped you. "No, you're hands will get dirty. I'll do it myself. Just go and get clothes for me, yeah?"
You nodded. "I'll prepare a clean clothes for you and make us a hot chocolate. If you finish just go upstairs and wait in my room"
•••••
Reo who is alone in your room, felt he was almost crazy now, he couldn't stop smiling and giggling at what he had just seen now.
He found a box of lego flowers under your bed.
Fu*k she's so cute
He staring his shirt and his short on your bed that you already prepared for him. He quickly changed his wet uniform.
Knock knock
"Reo? Are you finish changing?"
"Yeah, come in"
You go in and found reo sitting relaxed on your bed with the clothes you prepared earlier for him.
"You still keep my clothes, huh?" He teased
Blood rushing to you cheeks. "You never bring you clothes with you after sleepover here. So i keep it."
It's true though. Reo always refused to take the clothes from the day before because he likes the fact that you will wash his clothes and keep it in your little wardrobe together with your clothes. And now you and him share the same smell.
You walk towards your floor table and put the 2 cups of hot chocolate. Reo staring at you still wearing your school uniform. "Aren't you going to change, y/n?"
"O-oh right. Wait"
You open your wardobe and take out your t-shirt and shorts. Then go to the bathroom. Reo was holding back to says "why don't you just change you clothes here?" But no, he won't going that far. But he'll be lying if he doesn't want to know what your reaction would be. It must be cute he thinks.
You got out from your bathroom already changed. You see Reo already sat on the carpet as he drinks his hot chocolate. He looks at you and tapping his empty side gives a signal to you to sit down.
You both sit there in silence. You drink your hot chocolate try to break the silence but it's not working. It feels awkward and you got more nervous. You think maybe you should just confessed to him right now but you're too scared. What if Reo doesn't feel the same way and you friendship will get ruin.
In the other side, Reo knows whats happening, he can see how shaking and confused you are and he likes it, way too likes it. He almost feel bad. But he couldn't help it you just so cute and looks fragile to him.
"Reo.. say something..."
He chuckled. Your whine sounds just melodies to him. And the next think he said is surprised you.
"Ditto"
You look at him in wide eyes.
"E-eh?"
"Why? You look surprised" he smiled at you.
You really thought that word was for you. But there's no way, Reo doesn't know that it was you, right?
"No, it's just why you randomly said that like you answering the letter."
He laughed.
"I never show you what's inside the letter, Y/n. How did you know?" His face getting closer to yours.
"......"
"......"
Eh? He never show it? I thought-
Ahh what am i going to do?!
Did he find out?!
How?!
You frozed. Speechless. You opened your mouth but nothing comes out. Your heart beats fast. Your body heats up even though it's cold outside due to the rain. You just sit there look at him who still smiling at you.
Ah, my y/n just so clueless. Oh, is she gonna cry? Cute.
"I said that i like you too you know, aren't you happy about it?" Reo pouted.
"N-no i- of cource i'm happy, Reo!" Your hands cling hard on his tshirt. You get too overhelmed you didn't even realize tears coming down to your face. You've been waiting for this for so long.
"God, you're so pretty" he whispered. He's gone mad.
He's getting closer to close the gap between you two till your lips touched. He placed his hand under your jaw, his other hand squished you hip as you hands still clinging on his tshirt. He open up lil bit his mouth so you did it too. Now you both can taste each others sweetness from hot chocolate. Then he pulled away makes you whined.
He licked his lips. "Sweet". It makes you feel more embarassed.
"Thanks for the flowers, baby. I love it" he said as he stroked your cheeks. You nodded and shying away.
"Oh, i have a present to for you. Here, Happy Valentines day, y/n" he hand you a purple little box.
"Can open it?"
"Hmm, go on, sweety" his petnames gave you butterfly.
You open the box. And there were two hairpins with Kuromi's face inside. It makes you eyes twickled, you smile at it.
Reo rubbed his back neck. "Well i know it's not really special or expensive. I just want make it as a symbols that we're official now. You see.. there's two of it, one for me and one for you. Ah but you know, i would buy anything for you, okay? Is there anything i could get for you?"
You laughed and shook your head. "No, thank you, Reo. These are so adorable, i like it very much." You took one hairpin and placed it on your hair. You took the other one and placed on Reo's hair.
"Aww we're pairing right now, so cute hehe. Lets take some pictures, Reo?"
How could he says no to his baby, of course he said yes to everything you want and need.
These wholesome romance scenes makes him forgot about a bad things he did. From canceled his practiced and told his driver to not pick him up so he can go home with you. From he took advantages one of his fan and took her umbrella without caring how she's gonna get home. From how threating any guys that want to get closer or have a crush on you and it makes you feel insecure and sad, he feels bad about that one though. But it doesn't matter, you only need him, you're gonna choose him and him only. Well you just did.
You're all his now. Though, you already his since the first time you met. That's why you always together. He's always been there for you whenever you happy, sad, angry, he's there with open arms. He treats you well too, bought you anything you want or need, always satisfied you and makes you happy with him.
He deserves you right? You deserve each other. That's why you chose him. And he won't let that change.

Summary: After thwarting the End of the World for the second time, Aziraphale and Crowley take a walk in the rain.
☆~☆~☆~☆~☆
It's over.
It's over, and the world is still standing.
It's over, and the world is still standing, and they both made it out the other side. Together.
Aziraphale turns his face to the dark sky as the first drops of rain begin to fall. He holds his hands out to catch them. He smiles as they dampen his hair and roll down his face, and he's not sure, but he thinks he might be crying.
"Are we going to stand out in this all night?" Crowley grouses, squinting up at the rain. His hair, at some point, came free of its knot and frames his face in a picture of perfect disarray. Aziraphale smiles at him, too.
"Apologies, I didn’t bring an umbrella," Aziraphale teases, "I'm quite sure there's an awning around here somewhere, if you like." And, not allowing himself time to second-guess, or wonder if it's the right thing to do, he takes the demon's hand in his own, lacing their fingers together. The rain falls harder, and Aziraphale laughs and begins to walk. He doesn't make it more than two steps, though, before Crowley's suddenly-iron grip on his hand hauls him to a stop like an anchor off a ship.
"My dear - " Aziraphale turns back, and his words stick in his throat. Crowley's vivid yellow eyes are wide, and his red hair has lost most of its volume as the ever-increasing rainfall plasters it to his head. The street lights highlight every angle and edge of the demon's features, and for the first time, Aziraphale truly lets himself admire how striking Crowley is. He doesn't have more than a moment to appreciate it, though, before Crowley, in a single determined stride, collides with him. His arms enfold him like wings, holding him so tight it borders on crushing, and he buries his face in Aziraphale's neck.
Aziraphale’s heart fills his chest, a feeling coming over him that's so pure and beautiful, he's not sure that it can actually be contained or defined by words. He wraps his arms around Crowley, returning the embrace and holding him like he is the most precious thing in the world because, truly, he is.
They stand like that until the rain has well and truly soaked them through, and it's only by virtue of a small miracle that they're not freezing in the rapidly cooling evening air. Finally, Crowley loosens his hold, but it's only to shift Aziraphale under his arm so that they, side by side, can keep walking towards the bookshop, which is somehow still standing despite it all. Aziraphale keeps one arm firmly around the demon's waist, his free hand once again finding Crowley's where it hangs over his shoulder and folding it within his own.
"You know," Aziraphale mentions as they walk, "There actually is no Richard Curtis film where two characters realize they were made for each other in the rain under a canopy," He eyes Crowley slyly, "I checked."
"Hnngh," the demon makes a non-committal noise, "Point, angel?"
"Well," Aziraphale says, "I can't help but recall that you and I had a...moment...in the rain...under a canopy of sorts..."
"Oh, come off it," Crowley objects vehemently, but Aziraphale doesn't think he's imagining the flush creeping up the demon's neck, "Didn't even like you back then."
"You did," Aziraphale counters, and for just a moment, leans into Crowley's side. He feels Crowley's head dip down, feels a quick pressure of lips at his temple. An altogether unfamiliar sense of ease, of unfettered happiness, settles on him. The bookshop comes into view, light spilling from its windows onto the wet pavement.
"I think this all calls for something truly special. I have a bottle of 1945 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Grand Cru. I've been saving it, you know, since it was given to me..." Aziraphale starts to recount how he acquired the bottle as they reach the bookshop. The angel opens the door and follows the demon inside, and the door closes and locks behind them.
They settle in to enjoy the evening together as outside the rain continues to fall, washing the world clean.

“Great,” you sighed audibly, the frustration evident in your voice as you made no attempt to conceal it.
You had spent the entire day in town running errands. Once finished, you decided to treat yourself by stopping at your favorite bakery to pick up some goodies to take back to the castle and share with everyone. As you completed your purchase of the baguettes, the beautiful sunset sky suddenly turned gray, and rain began to fall.
However, you hadn’t fretted; you had your umbrella with you.
With a confident smile, a pack of baguettes in one hand, and the umbrella in the other, you had stepped out of the bakery to head back to the castle. However, you hadn’t taken into account the strong wind. Despite your efforts to maintain a tight grip on everything and quicken your pace, the wind intensified. And before you could react, your umbrella had turned inside out.
You shrieked and ran under a canopy in an attempt to protect yourself, but without your umbrella and under the pouring rain, it took only two seconds for you to be completely soaked.
“Fucking great,” you sighed again, running your hand through your wet hair to pull it away from your face. At least you saved the baguettes. You hugged them tight while running, so they should be... “Oh, come on!”
Opening the bakery package, you saw the damp mess inside, and your mood dropped to zero in a heartbeat. Your clothes were already uncomfortably clinging to you, your hair kept falling in your face, and the rain didn’t seem to be letting up anytime soon. For a second, you thought about sitting on the floor and crying out your frustration, but it wouldn’t be helpful. Plus, it might lead everyone to worry that you were taking too long to return to the castle, prompting them to arrange a search party for you.
No, you would fight through this.
Closing your eyes, you took a deep breath before opening them again. You could walk all the way back home if needed. You’d have to walk a part of the way anyway, but it was harder in this rain. The best thing would be to find a carriage to take you halfway there. With a string of curses leaving your lips, you dashed to the nearest trash can to throw away the ruined baguettes, then began to walk around, searching for a carriage.
To be fair, you tried really hard not to start crying. But after a few minutes of walking in the cold rain without finding a single carriage, your frustrations got the better of you. The streets were emptying with every passing minute, people running to seek shelter, leaving you practically alone.
Rubbing your eyes, which began to well up with tears, you kept walking, now considering if it wouldn’t be better to run back under the canopy and wait for the rain to pass. On the other hand, you were already soaked from head to toe, and the rain wasn’t so intense anymore, so you could probably make your way back home on foot. Then again, it was a very long walk, and you were already so tired…
That was when you heard a familiar voice calling for you. Whipping your head around, you saw Roger striding in your direction. By the looks of his clothes, he didn’t have an umbrella either — or maybe his umbrella had also broken.
“What are you doing here?” you asked when he stopped in front of you.
“I finished some business when I thought I heard you cursing the whole world about the rain,” he chuckled. “Came to check. What are you doing standing in the middle of the rain? Trying to catch a cold?”
“Oh, well…” You averted your gaze.
“Hey, are you okay?” He took your chin in his finger and lifted your face so he could take a better look at you. Your eyes were red; he knew you had been crying, and he frowned. It wasn’t much fun when the reason for your tears wasn’t him.
“My umbrella broke,” you started with a shaky voice. “The baguettes I bought got wet and ruined. I decided to run in the rain to find a carriage to go back home, but…” Your voice cracked, and Roger gently took a strand of hair stuck to your face, tucking it behind your ear. “But the rain was heavy, and I regretted stepping out from under the canopy after my first step, but I also didn’t want to give up. And then…” you sniffled, your quivering lips and choked voice squeezing his heart. “Then I heard you calling me, and… And now we’re standing in the middle of this rain, and I’m really, really cold—”
He interrupted you with a soft kiss on the lips, and you lost your train of thought, blinking at him.
“It’s alright, lil’ lady,” he spoke with his face still close to yours. “I’ll take you home, and you’ll be fine.”
Roger stepped back and tilted his head slightly to the side, trying to discern the various sounds around in an attempt to pick up the sound of a carriage. It would be unlikely to find one in this rain, but he had to take you back home and to a warm place before you caught a cold — if you hadn’t already.
“Ah! Got it. C’mon.”
He grabbed your hand and turned around to walk in the direction of the carriage, but he stopped when he felt you squeezing his hand and making no attempt to move from your spot. His confused expression lasted for a second when he noticed your heartbeat increasing and the redness on your cheeks.
With that unnerving smirk plastering his face, he turned fully back to face you. You didn’t say anything, just let go of his hand to timidly hook your fingers on the lapels of his vest, looking at him with that wanting gaze, a slight pout forming on your lips. He looped one arm around your waist and gently brushed his hand across your face to remove the wet hair sticking to it.
He kissed you again, and this time passed his tongue along the seam of your lips to deepen it. You promptly accepted it, sliding one of your hands to his shoulder and squeezing him. His lips were incredibly warm against yours, his tongue caressing yours in a sensual dance that only he could perform. His hand held you firmly by the neck, his fingers entwining in the strands of your hair, lightly fisting it.
The rain was still falling, but for a moment, it was as if you couldn’t feel anything but his warmth. It already felt like being back home.
When you two pulled away from the kiss, out of breath and with heat in your eyes, he smiled again — the soft one, dedicated only to you, and you returned it.
“Let’s go home, lil’ lady,” he said as he grabbed your hand again and started walking, and this time you followed suit.
“Alright,” you muttered under your breath, feeling incredibly calmer now.
“We’ll finish this when we get there.”
And just like that, your calmness vanished. You couldn’t wait to arrive at the castle.
