My thoughts on episodes 1-3 of Netflix ATLA (SPOILERS):
Tumblr media
1. Commander Zhao has middle-aged white guy manager energy. I feel like this man is about to lead me in a team-building exercise
2. Aang having his origin story changed irks me! He ran away impulsively in the original show and got stuck in the ice. In this version, he fully monologs to Appa about his fears, but then just leaves for a joyride and gets stuck. It takes away from the significance of Aang leaving in the first place. When Kyoshi berates him for running away, it doesn't feel right because in this version, he didn't really run - he just got stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time
3. The Zuko that stood on an iceberg during a full Moon and challenged Katara to battle would be absolutely enraged at the Zuko that ran from the conflict in Omashu
4. Also, the fact that Zuko has not mentioned honor yet? What the fuck?
5. Seriously, Commander Zhao has a LinkedIn. He's got great networking skills
6. I miss aggro Katara. This version is way more subdued (though we do get a sibling fight in episode 3) and somehow listening to Aang's weird circular philosophy helps her learn how to waterbend and I don't get it
7. Seeing Aang be joyful is a nice change from the movie that shall not be mentioned
8. If Gram-Gram putting the waterbending scroll in Katara's bag replaces the storyline where Katara says fuck cultural looting and steals one I will scream
9. It's interesting to see Azula so early in the story, but I'm bummed we missed out on the whole blackmail thing with her & Ty Lee
10. Do you think Commander Zhao pays his employees a fair wage? Do you think they have health insurance? 401k matching? Vacation time? Sick days? What kind of benefits does his company offer?
11. This version of Sokka is definitely not silly enough
12. I feel robbed that Aang got to transform into a magical girl but we didn't get a magical girl transformation sequence
13. Also, we were robbed of Sokka crossdressing as a Kyoshi warrior and they are so rude for that
14. The graphic murder of the Airbenders felt. Weird? Wrong? I don't think we needed to see that. The impact it had when Aang arrived at the temple to find all of them gone in the original show felt heavier than in this version. We saw what happened, we know they're all dead. As a kid watching ATLA the first time, I remember feeling hopeful for Aang that maybe he wasn't really the last one. We don't get to feel that with this version
15. They did not understand Uncle Iroh at all. His character is so weird. Maybe it gets better???
16. The pacing is weird but maybe that gets better too???
17. I have never related more than when Ozai just burned that Earth nation dude who was about to start monologing, please shut up in my presence
18. Apparently everywhere has names?? Who decided on these names?
19. As a lesbian I also get horny on main immediately for girls who could definitely kick my ass, Sokka was so real for that
20. Overall I think they lean into the idea that the audience for this show is primarily older than the audience for the original (they're not totally wrong!) but I worry about it losing some of the messaging along the way. Part of the beauty of the original ATLA show was tackling these big, complex issues in a way that both kids and adults could relate to and understand. Anyone who knows me knows I also love Bluey for this, along with a few other shows that do it well. Media like ATLA that tackles the ideas of colonization, genocide, war, and so many other important issues is crucial! I hope that these topics are handled just as well as they were in the original series.
Am I going to watch the whole thing? Probably, yeah. Will I enjoy it? I hope so! It's not terrible, but it's also hard to do a show that has so much nostalgia attached to it in a way that will please all viewers.
If you haven't watched it, I think it's worth a shot. Just don't expect it to be an exact retelling of the original story.

A bit of a change of pace from my typical scifi spec bio, but I’ve been drawing a lot of fantasy art lately and started thinking about my goblins again.
In my D&D homebrew/original high fantasy world, Fulcire, the goblinoids (a family consisting of such species as the goblins, hobgoblins, and bugbears) are distinct from the humanoids, having evolved from a different common ancestor. They are the older of the two families, having evolved somewhere between 20,000 and 70,000 years earlier. Goblins were the first of the family to evolve in their modern form, making them the oldest intelligent mortal life on the plane. They alternate between quadrupedal and bipedal stances, are opportunistic omnivores, surviving on a mix of gathering and scavenging, but never actively hunting. Before the modern age of city-building, they kept migratory paths that they traveled across over the span of several years. These days, though, they tend to live more sedentary lives in the isolation of deep wilderness, because where their’s and humanoid’s paths cross, a fight almost always seems to end up breaking out.
More fun facts below:
- As a weird quirk of their evolution, goblinoids are better able to understand large numbers as a concept than humanoids. Where the humanoid mind struggles to imagine numbers into the thousands, tens-of-thousands, and beyond, goblinoids do not. This is theorized to be due to the fact that goblinoids evolved from an animal that had a herd-like social structure, rather than a pack-like one. An individual could need to know hundreds to thousands of other people on a personal level, and those that could work in such large numbers tended to be the most successful members of the herd, eventually selecting towards this particular quirk. As a result, Goblins and goblinoids are fantastic trend-spotters, and have both a fantastic memory and a quick mind for mathematics. It’s no coincidence that their agriculture requires keeping careful track of plant and animal populations across wide tracts of land over many years, and figuring out how to manipulate them season-by-season to the benefit of both themselves, and for the local ecosystem.
- Goblin clothing and fashion is quite unique when compared to humanoid clothing. Goblins do have a taboo against nudity in most cultures, but the structure of their body means that what they must cover differs. All goblinoids are mammalian, though their breast tissue is on their stomach, not their chest. To have an exposed belly, then, is considered appropriate for men, but not women, in Goblin societies (this, of course, can vary depending on societal practices regarding nursing, but that’s a whole different topic). An exposed chest, meanwhile, is commonly considered a sign of bravery in warriors, though more often than not warriors will wear chest-plates in real combat. Everyday styles, such as an exposed chest, are designed to allow for ease of movement in both bipedal and quadrupedal stances. The classic shirt, as humans style it, tend to pull and rub at a Goblin’s shoulders, which are structured more like that of a very flexible cat than a human. A lean towards functionality does not stop Goblins from accessorizing, though, covering clothes in embroidery, beadwork, and decorating with anything that shines or makes a nice jingling sound. Patterns and motifs may stem from Goblin folklore and history, or may be adopted from other species’ cultures. Clothing style is not restricted based on sex in any case other than when it comes to nudity in a particular culture, but it is common for those with magical ability to wear styles that differ from those who do not.
- Goblins have brightly pigmented skin, ranging from green to yellow to red, with the depth of color believed to signal good health. They may very rarely have striped or spotted patterns on their skin, but if not painted-on, this tends to be the result of an individual having some hobgoblin or bugbear ancestry, rather than a naturally occurring pattern. Compared to humanoids, they have an extended hairline, which starts lower on the forehead, extending down the neck and back, and across the shoulders. It often stops at the low-back, but it is not unheard of to have a furred tail. They range between 2.5 to 3.5 feet in height when standing bipedally, though are taller when their ears are taken into account. They are mammalian, and give birth in litters of 1-3 pups per season. Goblins have retractable claws, and their teeth fall out regularly across the seasons, though they only fall out all at once if a Goblin is in truly dire health. Lost teeth are often given as a sign of affection to family, friends, and/or lovers. While Goblins may not be religious, they are often spiritual, and keeping a loved one’s tooth is thought to help keep track of them, in life and in death. In fact, when a particularly beloved Goblin passes, when they are interred below the roots or in the hollow of a tree, they are often buried with great numbers of living Goblin’s teeth, so that they may find and recognize one another again in the world beyond.

Help! Everyone Can See My Tiddies, And By My Tiddies, I Mean Somebody Else’s Tiddies
The Ethicist, New York Times, 15 November 2022:
I’m proud of my wife and her breastfeeding of my son — I am so glad that they have been able to experience the bonding and health benefits that come with breastfeeding. My concern arises from the fact that my wife has posted photos online of her breastfeeding. These are not photos where everything happens to be conveniently covered up. You can see it all. I understand that my wife’s Instagram accounts are “private,” in that only connections/followers can see posts. These people range from family members, close friends of hers, close friends of mine, acquaintances and business contacts. I have asked her about the photos, and in particular what the thought process was behind posting them. She said that breastfeeding is something she is proud of and wants to share with her contacts.
I can’t claim that I understand the psychology behind posting such things on social media. To me it seems rather show-offy. But it’s part of our culture now, and I don’t need to understand it. I support efforts to normalize breastfeeding in society, but this feels like a step too far. That my friends and family are able to see such explicit photos of my wife makes me uncomfortable. But that alone would not be enough for me to push the issue. My major concern, which I raised with my wife, is that one day our son will be going to school, and school kids can be mean. Is it fair for those photos to live on accounts where parents of other children at the school, connected to my wife, could see the photos? Could this expose our son to unnecessary bullying? My wife’s response is, “Let’s discuss it with our son when he is old enough, and we can make a choice then.” My gut tells me that it would be more appropriate to remove the photos now, and when our son is old enough to discuss the matter with us, they can be posted with his consent at that time. What do you think? Name Withheld
Before we get to anything else: can we just take a moment to celebrate you for once? Because not everyone on earth would be proud of his breastfeeding wife, but you definitely are, and for that, my good sir, you deserve a major award. Humanity has achieved a number of feats over the millennia -- rescuing children from underwater caves, traveling to space, developing antibiotics -- but nothing quite captures our incredible capacity for goodness like a dude who just really thoroughly approves of his wife’s decision to breastfeed. Love to see a man who isn’t so cowed by “our culture” that he’s forced to hide how absolutely fine he is with children eating food.
But it’s “our culture” that is the problem, isn’t it? Sure, there’s nothing wrong with breastfeeding -- as you so eloquently said yourself, it has some upsides that you are gracious enough to be publicly supportive of -- and sure, it’s not a bad idea to normalize breastfeeding, but there’s a line, isn’t there? Surely your wife can find a way to normalize breastfeeding without showing her loved ones how she does it? She’s just over here like, “I’m proud of this and I don’t care what people say?” Feminism has really gone too far. Sure, every woman could use a little more pressure to do something different or better based on what other people think is best or what makes other people more comfortable, but mothers need a triple-dose these days, and your wife is a primo example. Normalizing breastfeeding is great! But there is such a thing as too normal. We can’t just make breastfeeding so normal that people just feel totally comfortable taking pictures of themselves while taking care of their children! What’s next? Universal child care?? Paid parental leave?? STUDENT LOAN FORGIVENESS??????
One appreciates that you’re worried about the very real possibility that, ten years from now, a child from your son’s school will go digging through his parents’ Instagram accounts looking for your wife’s profile and scroll backwards through a decade of her posts to identify his classmate as a baby and alert the local children. Sounds exactly like every fifth-grader I know.
But your concerns are misplaced.
It’s sweet that you’re willing to be so accepting of your wife literally keeping your baby alive by feeding it -- it really does show what a bold, forward-thinking man you are -- but it seems like you’re going out of your way not to name the elephant in the room. Or, really, the two elephants in the room. More aptly, the two elephants on Instagram: tiddies. Your wife is behaving as if her breasts, somehow, belong to her? Let’s just say what we’re all thinking: What is your wife doing putting your tiddies out there on the internet for everyone to see? It would be one thing if she were, as you note, “covered up” in such a way as to obscure literally everything about what she’s doing (a great way to normalize behavior!) but you said it yourself: “you can see it all.” And by “it all,” you mean your personal breasts! Just on display! Willy-nilly! “Show-offy,” if you will!
It’s time to sit the little lady down for a serious discussion about her life choices -- not breastfeeding, breastfeeding is amazing! could not possibly be more supportive of breastfeeding! make no mistake! -- and ask her if she really thinks it’s appropriate to flaunt her benevolent master’s mammarial property all over the internet. There is a point after which a man must put his foot down to protect his own bodily autonomy -- you cannot allow your wife to just flop your jugs out there all over the internet, showing off Daddy’s fun bags to every Tom, Dick, and Harry! What right does she have to free your nipples? Sweatergod, it’s like one day women were permitted to open credit cards in their own name and then the next day they just lost their entire fucking minds.
Perhaps when your wife gets a little bit older, she will better understand what it means to post photos of her husband’s breasts on social media without his consent.

Alright, I gotta head this off at the pass. If you are feeling uneasy because of the new outrage directed at Mark, please consider giving this a read. I'm just one single schlub, but I know a thing or two about reacting on impulse because of my triggers, and I gotta throw my hat into the ring.
Okay.
I know about the Hospital game video. Very unsettling stuff, I can well imagine. As someone who can't handle graphic depictions of real-life events myself, I'm not going anywhere near the video. I also know now that the TikTok angry mob is looking to cancel him because he hasn't taken the video down as of the publishing of this post(July 11th, 2023, 10:52AM EST).
Y'all, I'm asking you, as a concerned fandom member, to please give Mark the benefit of the doubt. [He uploaded a video literally yesterday] talking about how busy and stressful things have been for him: he just lost his grandmother, he got sick, he gets injured frequently, he's in the middle of filming a movie that he had to take a break from because he was putting himself at risk for damaging his eyes, it just keeps going.
If you're outside the fandom and just having fun sending stray shots everywhere, please know that Mark is not gonna ignore all this when he's able to address it -- but that when is not right now. Mark and his editing team do a good job warning his viewers about common things like flashing lights and exceptionally gross imagery; this other video is a long way from the improvements the channel has made. 7 years ago feels less relevant than 1 day ago.
I'm pretty confident that Mark's not gonna refuse to delete the video because "Oh don't censor art" or whatever he's gonna get accused of. He, like I'm imagining a good deal of people were, was not aware of how real those images were, and it's probably not at the front of his mind because that video is buried under literally thousands of others on the channel. Mark's deleted videos before, he probably doesn't have a special attachment to this video or anything.
And, real quick, before you question why his editors won't just do it for him -- it's still his channel, I don't think he'd be cool with his editors making decisions about deleting things without running it by him.
All of this stemming from TikTok makes perfect sense, seeing how the fandom on tumblr was completely calm before the news was brought in from the outside. TikTok runs entirely on sensationalism and hype and clicks, and the eternal engine of Needing To Cancel Someone comes for us all one day. But I am asking you -- you, the person reading this, not the algorithm on TikTok -- to step back and think about this situation for yourself. No, I'm not just "defending a celebrity" and all that -- I'm trying to say that this uproar is being driven by very intense emotions drummed up by graphic content, and your nerves are probably shot by thinking about it all and I hear all of that. I've done impulsive things while triggered myself, you have all of my sympathy, none of this is to downplay the shockwave hitting you and others right now.
But Mark made a mistake.
Making a mistake does not make someone a bad person. It doesn't make you a bad person, it doesn't make me a bad person, and it doesn't make Mark a bad person.
Please don't keep yourself on constant duty to watch his every move and time how long he's been "ignoring" this on a stopwatch. Mark is known for pushing himself more than he should; the fact that he hasn't addressed this yet is a good sign that he has hit capacity levels of stress.
Let yourself breathe. Distance yourself from the video. Ask around on tumblr for their favorite lighthearted Markiplier videos, or just watch another YT'er if you need to get even further away from this. Prioritize your mental health today. You are going to be okay. This is all going to be okay.
Please let yourself believe that.

this probably isn't what you meant when you said people could ask you about late stage recovery stuff, but i really have no idea where/who else to ask, so i hope this is okay
so i relate a lot to how people describe their own experiences with functional multiplicity (and to some degree final fusion as well, but to a lesser degree), but i've never been in any kind of actual treatment for anything. i'm not sure if i could have DID or another dissociative disorder at all (they aren't really seen as real by psych professionals in my country, so can't be assessed), but i know i experience myselves as more than one and people i've discussed it with irl don't really understand it at all.
so i was wondering if maybe you had any thoughts to what that could be..? i doubt it could be DID since no treatment and if i even have ptsd it's very mild, but i also know my experiences aren't normal and i haven't seen anyone but late stage recovery DID systems describe anything similar
i hope it is ok to ask, you seem knowledgeable and i have no idea where else to ask. thank you for reading
I might be saying a bit of an unpopular opinion to the online community here and might get shot in the foot for it (unfortunately, but I don't care really) but I don't think you have to pathologize it if you don't find benefit to it.
What I mean is largely just that it doesn't have to inherently be DID or a dissociative disorder to experience yourself as more than one and if you aren't experiencing distress from it, there is no real need to put a medical label on it. There is a lot of rhetoric about complex dissociative disorders being the only real way to experience one's self as more than one because DID is almost exclusively seen as a result of trauma - but that's just not true if SOLELY on the fact that the experience of being one or many in a largely subjective experience and a way of how one likes to look at themselves.
There is no real valid way to accurately measure "perception of multiple selves" because biological approaches ignore the actual and practical reports of individuals and self reports ignore the real biological underpinnings of things like DID and all. And thats a lot of jargon to say "No real study can properly examine the whole breath of human experiences across cultures and biological backgrounds through all research perspectives" and just that you really shouldn't sweat people saying XYZ is unscientific cause BOTH sides will say that and BOTH sides are equally right and wrong depending on your research perspective.
That said, if it is causing you distress or posing you problems, I do strongly recommend talking about it with a therapist. Yeah some can be a bit rough around the edges and the overall mental health system still kinda sucks, but really any therapist you can develop a good rapport with should be able to help you navigate it all from the place you currently are.
Either way, (and I apologize if this is a bit disorganized, I'm in the car and my fiance is sometimes talking to me as I type so it breaks my train of thought) my personal opinion and thought on the matter is that unless its causing you distress, I don't think you really need to stress about what exactly the "not normal" experience is cause "not normal"...
1) Doesn't exist cause "normal" doesn't really exist and the concept of normality, in my opinion, does little other than promote conformity and shame. (Plus in America its used to push white colonizer perspective and ideas on more subjective things like gender, experiences of self etc; experiencing yourself as more than one is actually not entirely abnormal in some cultures and I'd argue that as a Buddhist, experiencing yourself as more than one is an uncommon but absolutely normal experience)
2) Your experiences aren't defined by the labels and research of other people. Your experiences are defined inherently by how you experience them and labels are there to serve to describe you experiences, not the other way around. Same thing goes for research. Research exists to explain odd phenomenon, not to tell people that their experiences are wrong. Research should adapt to include things that don't fit in, not demands that said outliers change to fit the model / theory.
3) As long as there is held respect that your experiences of being more than one might not be the same as someone whose experiences of being more than one comes from complex trauma and/or a complex dissociative disorder, then I see little harm in just, ya know, existing as you naturally do.
I am hesitant to say "endogenic / plurality community might help you find similar people and navigate finding a label if that is important to you" cause I don't actually interact too much with the community myself and I have heard about some toxicity from there (don't touch sophie or cambrian), but I think it could be helpful with some caution.
Anyways, I am having trouble organizing my thoughts cause Im in the car and all so I'll leave it here. Feel free to ask away if you want to add anything or need clarification on my thoughts on this or whatever.

Hi there! We're not mutuals, so sorry if this is weird, but I saw your vent post and I just wanted to say that you are absolutely not a waste of space. I can't pretend to know exactly what you're experiencing career or health-wise, and I won't tell you it doesn't suck because having either one of those things happening at once would suck, so having them at the same time definitely does. That said, I know just from the fandom work that you share that you are an incredibly talented person, and that you're going to be able to find a way to apply those skills somewhere, even if it's in a different way then you were doing pre-strike. To be dealing with health stuff on top of that is obviously stressful, and I hope things start coming together for you in some way to make any piece of what you're dealing with feel easier soon. If you ever need someone to vent or talk to, feel free to reach out. There are a lot of people around here that are thinking of and rooting for you <3
it's not weird at all oh my god, that was so so sweet of you. the fact that you took the time to send this to me, you are incredible and i thank you so so much <3
i already "work" (well, worked) in a creative industry, movie vfx, and i have no idea what else i would do if i can't find a job again there. it's a very unstable industry and the hollywood strikes last year and now the very real AI threat have rocked the boat so hard. a lot of people lost their jobs and won't be getting them back for many months still, if at all. i've still paying my student loans from film school! i feel at loss about what to do, do i take a minimum wage and suffer when my unemployment benefits end after the summer? do i go back to shcool? can i even go back to school without any savings whatsoever? i live on my own, who would pay my bills if i'm a full time student? anyway yeah it's just A Lot to process right now, and i'm just hoping i won't have to figure out and that the industry will go back to what it once was after the summer (which is doubtful according to a lot of people). and then the whole heallth thing is well i've been unhealthy with how i eat and little excercise i do and now i'm paying the price.
thank you so much for being there and listening <3 i know i am well surrounded, but sometimes i feel like such a burden talking about my "problems" when i know a lot of people have it much much worse.

veep headcanons? :3
oh this will take a WHILE……i love veep so much. i’m about to wrap up season 6 right now ! i think i’ll do little headcannons / analysis for each character ! i might do a part 2 because i want to also do some more supporting characters. like you know damn well im gonna wanna write for catherine and marjorie as a whole,,,
Selina
named catherine “catherine” like her mother in order to be able to yell said name in anger the way she never could yell back at her mother
the severe mommy issues make her need every single one of her staff to be emotionally involved in her. if she isn’t the center of their life, she gets anxious about it, even angry. she needs to be validated
depends heavily on spellcheck,,, i just think she hates phones for some reason.
she can tell EXACTLY how someone is feeling by making it up in her head and believing it ❤️
got arrested once in her youth and it was wiped off the record. #supportwomen’swrongs
Amy
would do super super well taking up something that makes her adrenaline pump. they keep trying to get her to relax by making her get massages, meditate and be in quiet. she needs NOISE. she should be allowed to beat someone up at least once a day
had a little gray cat whenever she was younger. she likes them ! they’re similar to how she is whenever it comes to boundaries.
bisexual but she has a stressful job so she doesn’t have time to think about that rn
she would benefit from me in her life actually
actually really liked dan bc dan seems to personalize the relationship to the person (dan is so kind ❤️) so she was into him but suddenly got the ick.
Dan
trigger warning for SA and grooming: i think dan’s relationship with sex is so affected by the fact he slept with his teacher whenever he was younger in exchange for a good grade. it has made him view it was an exchange, a transactional affair. it’s why he’s so shit at intimacy, he doesn’t see to her anything out of it.
watches all the latest movies but it’s only because he keeps taking women out to go see them:
has a really sensitive stomach,,,,he says it’s something he ate but i feel like whenever he gets anxious it happens to
catholic guilt galore but he’s busy so he CANNOT get into it
he’s so the type of boyfriend who does baby talk and when he’s recorded he gets real mad about it. get that camera OUTTA here
Mike
he is like a baby duckling to me that’s why he wanted to raise them actually
has so many useless apps on his phone. why do you have a flashlight app you have a flashlight BUILT into the phone. its okay though bc he watches lot of youtube tutorials
probably wanted to vlog at some point but he got yelled at by selina in a clip so he stopped
the personality hire,,, everyone loves him but god he can be so bad at his job sometimes. everyone gets mad but never enough to fire him
because he started dating wendy, he started to dress up a little more ! ties and handkerchiefs match. i love you dad
Jonah
he so ran one of those private meme accounts whenever he was younger but he got so bad at everyone saying they were lame he just posted a screenshot that said SUCK MY DICK SON and blocked everyone
his incessant gross comments are a result of being around a bunch of rich white men that happen to be politicians that tend to laugh at them. he has daddy issues. he needs the validation
his little curls going missing are a result of him getting his hair straightened because he wanted to look more professional actually. he burnt his hands so he begged his mom to help him
gets really anxious about his health CONSTANTLY and has a will written out already because he’s scared one day it’ll (he doesn’t know what) catch up to him
Gary
he knows the lyrics to every new pop song ever. he loves it. he used to play Just Dance whenever he was in college or something i don’t know i feel like he might’ve even been in a club that requires that
has an extensive skin care routine. he puts on those fluffy headbands sometimes but stopped bc he realized it was to keep your hair dry and his is so short lmao
definitely has an undiagnosed anxiety disorder. he just pops a pill of whatever and hopes that it works (it doesn’t)
needs heavy validation from authority figures,,,like badly,,, i think that’s why he enjoys it so much whenever any of selina’s boyfriends acknowledge him as a person (or anyone gives him any importance)
he needs someone to tell him what to do because he is so lost on having any identify that isn’t directly tied to someone else ? he’s not even really sure what he himself likes anymore. uses “we” more than he uses “i”

I've been wanting to make a masterpost of my ideology for a while now, so here goes.
My Beliefs
All of my political positions are based upon material conditions- that is, unprovable or nebulous politics have little to no use. Factors of material analysis include money, health, labor relations and compensation, political power, access to education, bodily autonomy, etc.
I've tried to use unbiased sources from a variety of institutions that I've gathered by beliefs and statistics from. However, a lot of this is simply my opinion. I am far from the most versed in feminism and political discourse.
Any disagreement or critique is welcome.
Gender, sex, and class consciousness:
All of my political positions are based upon material conditions- that is, unprovable or nebulous politics have little to no use. Factors of material analysis include money, health, labor relations and compensation, political power, access to education, bodily autonomy, etc.
Natal sex is an immutable material reality that has a direct impact on one's placement in the societal hierarchy from the moment of birth.
While sex is perhaps not as clean as XX and XY, it is two bell curves with very distinct populations. If a score was given to every human based on sex characteristics (say, adding 1 for feminine traits and subtracting 1 for masculine traits), there would be a very clear and large separation between the predominant sexes-- (there is a good critique on the paper I linked to here as well). If a human falls somewhere in the middle of these traits, or have a 'disorder of sex development (DSD)', often they are subject to other forms of oppression and harm such as unnecessary surgery or from hatred of gender nonconformity (see point 5)-- however, this does not eliminate the fact that a large majority of people have a set of traits aligning with one of two biological castes (only around 1% of the population has a DSD).
Gender and gender roles are not a material reality, but a construct of behavioral and social expectations assigned to people based largely upon natal sex. The repercussions of gender are very much materially real (similarily, a $20 bill has no intrinsic material worth, but the way others will react to it does have worth). All gender-based roles and oppression is inherently tied to sex and the expression of primary and secondary sex characteristics.
Gender nonconformity is punished due to it disintegrating this rigid sex-based hierarchy, and refusal to participate in gender roles is seen as a rebellion against tradition. Any gender or sex can suffer from this punishment.
While men and women both face negative repercussions due to the rigid gender hierarchy, women as a class have their power and autonomy stripped away. This is also present in 'structural violence' against women. Individual men can face punishment due to the aformentioned gender nonconformity, as 'choosing' to perform as the 'weaker' sex is a failure. However, men created these hierarchies as ways to subjugate and control women, and materially benefit from patriarchal systems in money, political power, bodily autonomy, etc.
Women's oppression is rooted in historical commodification and control of the female body. Females are the only sex that can go through menarche and become pregnant. Not every female is capable of pregnancy, but only females are. Due to this, much of gender based-oppression is centered around the control of and use of women's ability to create life. Access to birth control and reproductive freedom is the one of the most important advancements in female equality.
Different cultures have variations in the expression of gender roles; however, there are common threads throughout a majority of large cultures. Women are the primary childcarers, as they are the only ones capable of bearing children, and their access to roles and opportunities outside of child rearing is limited due to this. Looking at trends from major religions and cultures, none of them are matriarchal.
There is no such thing as a 'male' or 'female' brain. Gendered socialization can account for the differences in skillsets between men and women. Gendered socialization is a material reality of access to opportunities and support, and denying its existence erases an inherent inequity that women face.
By limiting the opportunities that women can obtain, societies are shooting themselves in the foot. Restricting 50% of the population from becoming leaders in technological and scientific fields stunts productivity.
Body dysmorphia and transgender politics:
There are individuals who face body dysmorphia centered around their sex characteristics. Their discomfort is important and should be respected. As with any mental or physical health condition, the least invasive procedures should be done first to try and alleviate the symptoms, with the most invasive restricted to those who have honestly tried everything else.
Many females (myself included) have felt body dysmorphia and self-hatred due to the demonization and sexualization of female sex characteristics. This is due to social stigma, and not an intrinsic otherwise-unsolvable mental condition. The push of vulnerable, gender nonconforming youth (who are also often homosexual) towards invasive sex-changing procedures is exploitative and not in their best interest.
A fully transitioned trans woman is capable of experiencing misogyny. This is because gendered oppression is based upon the expression of secondary sex characteristics. Many trans individuals can fully 'pass' as their desired gender, at least to passerby. However, this does not eliminate the fact that this trans woman received a male-socialized childhood, and the benefits and privileges that grants. Additionally, these trans women can never be of the female sex, and will never experience some aspects of female oppression, such as society's treatment of pregnancy and menarche, as well as medical misogyny. This is why female-only spaces are still important.
The erosion of female and women's class consciousness is detrimental to the elimination of gendered oppression and sexism. The fact that gender is not real does not mean that the repercussions of it are not very real. Preventing the use of gendered terms when discussing oppression, and preventing women from organizing around their shared experiences, is misogyny and should not be tolerated.
Homosexuality:
Homosexuality, bisexuality, and heterosexuality are immutable, biological realities. These sexualities are not fluid.
Some homosexuals may be interested in fully transitioned transgender individuals, I really don't have a strong opinion on this. However, if a transgender individual retains their birth sex characteristics, homosexuals will not be attracted to them if they are the opposite sex.
The demonization of homosexuals unwilling to date non-transitioned trans people is just another facet of homophobia.
I may expand on this document as I go. Other things I feel strongly about are anti-kink, anti-porn, and anti-makeup.

“When he was seventeen, Sirius had the dark mark branded into his arm. Came back to Hogwarts after winter hols with his skin still stinging, still raw red. An honour—an honour, to be chosen so young. And a coincidence, surely, that only three months before his parents had caught him with the gardener’s son, confirming all their worst fears about their beloved heir. All the things people had been whispering, already, when he grew his hair too long or talked the wrong way or walked the wrong way or stood the wrong way—all the signs that Sirius didn’t understand, didn’t know how to hide, couldn’t figure out how everyone else had looked at him and decided things that he didn’t even understand for himself.
“They’ll make a man of you,” his father said, gruffly, staring down at the fresh wound on his son’s arm.
And they did.
They did.”
your interpretation of sirius makes me insane!!!!! it broke my heart oh my god!!!! i love sirius and your version of sirius always amazes me.
like,,,, i just love those insights into what is going on inside this selfish horrible little man and then getting sad about it lmao. since it almost doesn’t change anything, he still did it all, but i just think you show perfectly how he’s really stuck in this cycle, where it always starts with something like this, where he is a victim, and you do feel really bad for him, but then he always does something very Sirius and makes it someone else’s problem, not really stopping to think about his place in anything, or how he’s really affecting people beyond just guilt that he ignores. and you get annoyed because yeah he’s a prick but he can do better and he just isn’t
only this time he doesn’t get to just write himself off as unsalvageable, he has to stop being all “woe is me” and actually help people
(which is better for sirius’s health, or soul or whatever too)
i just love the complexity you add to these characters and the conflicts of interest like you’re so thoughtful about it and you make it so real!!
lol this was so incomprehensible but i just wanted to stop by and say your writing is brilliant!! <33
thank u!!! i love ur analysis lol i feel like ur picking up what i'm putting down etc.
like. yeah what i'm going for with sirius as a character is to show how anyone raised in a violent system [capitalism, fascism, etc] will be harmed by that system, and oftentimes there are very understandable ways in which we can see that harm and sympathize with a person who's been victimized by such violence. at the same time, being harmed by a system does not necessarily prevent someone from then becoming complicit or even actively supporting + benefiting from that system, and the fact that they, too, have been hurt by the system they're perpetuating does not change the material impact of their actions.
i think there's a frustrating tendency to try and label people as unequivocally 'good' or 'bad' in such a way that u can only have sympathy for good people, and never for bad people. and i don't think this is useful because the fact of the matter is there are plenty of 'bad' people who do harmful things and yet have been traumatized in ways we might be very sympathetic towards, and i think it's important to recognize that inherent humanity if we want to actually take effective steps to mitigate harm. like, the victim/perpetrator binary is not a useful political tool imo, and my goal with sirius as a character in this fic is to upset that binary. i specifically wanted to try writing a character who does horrible things that a reader cannot deny are horrible and yet at the same time the reader cannot help but sympathize with him to a certain extent, because that tension between sympathy and condemnation is something that we often need to navigate irl

The following is an extended metaphor included in a ridiculously long letter I’m sending to my health care provider. I’m posting here because…idk, it’s writing and sharing it with y’all is probably more effective for my mental health than sending it will actually be.
You see, it’s been too long since I’ve seen anyone for my mental health so I need to go through a screening, presumably to discover if my disability (which has been diagnosed since 2000) is still real or something. Now mind you, this isn’t the government trying to cut my benefits, this is my healthcare provider (a company whose name rhymes with Miser) making me do this to get the healthcare I pay for. Thing is, there is only one way to access this screening, through phone. I can get a mammogram appointment through a phone call, the website, their surprisingly decent app or just fucking walking in on a slow day. Mental health care? Gotta be a phone call to get a screener appointment that will then pass me along the system.
Meanwhile my primary care doctor’s office keeps fucking nagging me about other health issues (which really fucking stresses me out since I know I should care but I can’t because I’m fucking crazy) and I’m like, I have one fucking major diagnosis with you people and yet, no one has ever once reached out to me about it. And since that diagnosis gets in the way of other health stuff, idk maybe we should nag me about that instead? So I wrote a letter to the patient advocacy folks asking them to tell my doctor’s office to lay off, but it’s really 1600+ words telling them that they suck. Nothing will change, but I guess I feel better?
Like a good number of people with mental illnesses, I have certain things that are hard for me to do. Simple things that ordinary people do without thinking, like making phone calls, can be impossible if your brain does not cooperate
As an example, please imagine you’re standing on the edge of a cliff, a really high drop, ten or more stories. There is a person next to you and they say, just step forward. You can’t do that because if you step forward, you’ll die. The person insists that the drop is the same as a regular stair, just a few inches, and that you just need to take the step and you’ll be fine. You ask if there’s a handrail, or maybe an alternate path, because you really do want to move forward, only there’s this cliff and your brain won’t let you take that step. The person insists that because it’s a simple step you don’t need handrails or an alternate route and kind of implies that you’re a little foolish for even asking. It’s just a step.
Now, stay with me on the edge of that cliff and imagine that instead of some random person who doesn’t know me, it’s someone who is supposed to care about me. It is, in fact, someone who I pay a fifth of my limited income to care about me. Someone who knows for certain that I have a condition that makes it hard for me to judge distances. But all they do is keep telling me it’s just a step, and it’s one I’ve stepped down before. And all I can remember is that the only reason I was able to step off it before was such severe mental pain that I was considering running from my home or possibly even killing myself. So when the only alternative to blowing up my whole life or even ending it was to leap off a cliff, yes, I was able to leap. However being able to jump off a cliff only because there’s a bear about to eat you is not a way to deal with everyday mental health issues.

here's something many (nondisabled) people may not know about receiving home care in the united states: not only does the government decide what amount of care you can get, that determination is made based on a regularly-updated evaluation of a patient's health situation. if your condition starts to improve, *that is grounds for you to have your care reduced or taken away* and the ableism of that hits me in waves. this means that if you want to get better--improve your endurance to walk further, regain skills you've lost so you can cook for yourself, maybe you spend a lot of time in physical therapy for these things--the government will take your care away because if you can do those things, you don't need it anymore, regardless of the fact that having the care is what enables you to reach that point because you're not injuring yourself or expending your energy on tasks that are dangerous or harmful or super draining. i like to joke that because i have good benefits and pretty good home care, that i live under real socialism now, and i will always think of myself as lucky to have what i do, but always remember: disabled people's lives and livelihoods are dictated by state institutions whose purpose is to withhold every benefit they can.
i don't have a larger point other than teaching people about how this part of my life works and encouraging you all to think about what it would be like for a nurse from the state to tell you that it was great that you were trying to walk more, but that if you did she would take your home care away, because that's what happened to me. every time i think about what it would be like to have access to real physical therapy again and maybe improve some more, i think of that, and it is crushing and depressing.
disabled people deserve better than this. i hope one day we can have it.

Since that seems to be the topic if Marijuana should be legalized, I’ll add my two cents!
But trigger warning, it’s gonna piss off 90% of this site. 🤣
Should it be legalized? Absolutely not.
For the record, I also think nicotine should be banned too but one battle at a time right? At least nicotine doesn’t kill the brain and cause people to become incapacitated to drive or make decisions.
It was determined to be a scheduled class 1 narcotic for a reason. The only reason it’s being pushed is for profit now by political leaders, ignoring the entire medical & scientific community. Medical use is far different than recreational use. It’s weird that most democrats are for the legalization too especially since they always push the “trust the science” angle and as a fellow democrat, I’m mad as hell because it makes us all look stupid & sound like a hypocrite. There is a reason other countries will not back off from making sure it’s banned and it’s for their citizens safety.
The argument that it addresses crime and crime rates will go down is absurd. In fact crimes rates have remained the same, just in a different way now. Many of the establishments around Detroit that opened when our state legalized it have been broken into, vandalized or have had fires set. It’s caused more chaos in those areas and many times local neighborhoods don’t want distilleries around due to the smell and the chaos that comes from those crimes.
And the smell is very real along with 2nd hand smoke. Others can still get high around you. I remember I was only 6 years old and we had all our windows open during the summer. Our neighbor was smoking weed. It drifted into our house and I got high as fuck as a 6 yo. I’d like to think most people would try to be good about it around children, but it’s another PSA that will have to be put out. As an asthmatic as well, nicotine smoke greatly affects me no matter what. Even if people come from outside after having a smoke break, it’s still on your clothes and sends me into a flare. There was a reason they tried to ban smoking at places because of second hand. And now we’ll have to fight weed too because everyone has the conception that it’s somehow different. It’s not!!
Now to the health part - smoking whatever is just bad for your lungs. Any kind of smoke. Your body is not meant to inhale it!! End of story. My dad was exposed to 2nd hand smoke growing up and became a heavy weed user (illegally) in his late teens and early 20s. It landed him with extreme scarring of his lungs and permanently on oxygen. Yes weed is still harmful to the lungs!!!
Second, yes there is some beneficial properties but this is solely linked to only the cannabinoids found within the cannabis. THC which is the part that gives you the brain alteration effects is the dangerous part. It does disrupt and kill off neuron pathways and has a higher chance of leading to stroke. Having large amounts of THC in your system over time can cause permanent memory loss, nerve damage and even death. Yeah I said it, death.
This is why science has been studying CBD oil. It still comes from cannabis and brings all the health benefits weed smokers boast about but without all the other stuff that damages your body. CBD is what has been helping the people with seizures, not weed. If the FDA wants to clear CBD use, I’m all fucking for that!!!! 👏🏼 I take it daily myself and even my dog took it. It works!! So I’m not saying there isn’t some truth to weed.
Now medically, if someone has terminal cancer or something absolutely painful & their doctor and them have discussed medical marijuana would be a better option than whatever the alternative - by all means, that is between the patient and their doctor to choose that route. Note that medical marijuana only provides so many grams a month. It’s CONTROLLED. Just like opioids and everything else. If someone really needs it, they’re not gonna go selling it or sharing it.
It’s the recreational users I’m not on board with. Some growers experiment adding different things and you don’t know what you’re getting. At the border we catch a lot of weed (and cocaine) laced with fentanyl. It’s not controlled and therefore more dangerous legal or not. Also many still choose to smoke and drive. Again, it alters the brain like alcohol. Idk but I want my loved ones and I to not be on the road with more asshats who decided to do a 2am Taco Bell run cause they had the munchies.
Which brings me to the final argument people try to convince me with and that’s “well alcohol is a thing and that’s not illegal.” True. And again it’s big business and brings money to the economy. Only reason they want weed legal - money. I’m not even for alcohol either so don’t try to start. I’m sober now after a brush in with alcoholism. Trust me, life is more fun on the other side once you’re completely sober and you realize alcohol is actually a pretty disgusting business. Alcohol and weed is an addiction, I’m sorry but it is. And yes, I’ll be the 80 year old grandma that says weed is a gateway drug. It creates the high feeling and then people want more and more and are willing to try other substances to recreate that high - especially if they do have an addictive personality. Some people don’t and won’t go beyond it but addiction is a very real trait some people are genetically predisposed to.
I don’t agree that having weed should be a large incarceration either. It’s a misdemeanor at best, not a fricken murder. But no I don’t believe it should be legal outside medical use.
I’m usually for do whatever you want to your body as long as you know the risks and don’t cry about it later, but this one is only being pushed because of lobbying and money. It is. Doctors are already tired of telling nicotine smokers smoking is bad as they place the 2nd stent in their heart and now they have to fight another battle as that field is fighting staffing shortages across the nation. They don’t need more patients making dumbass decisions for “fun.” I don’t know why it’s suddenly being brought up again when all the medical facts are out there. I feel like people got confused with the CBD studies and ran with it. 🤦🏻‍♀️
Also personally to me, it just smells like rotten shit. Idk how people do it. It’s super gross and disgusting.

I feel like going vegan can be easy for some people but I also think a lot of people already have so much else to worry about, so they just don’t feel able to have the time or energy into researching veganism, learning new recipes, etc? It’s not that going vegan in itself is hard but if you have 100 other problems in your life sometimes small things can seem like too much?
also I feel like for some people, food may be the main source of pleasure in their life. So giving up their favourite foods can feel like a major sacrifice. I’m vegan myself, and I’m not saying this is a good enough reason not to be vegan, I don’t think it is, but I can see how it can be difficult for people - ofc I realise the animals’ suffering is far greater than the person giving up their favourite food, but to them, it might feel like a lot - and being completely honest, as a vegan, I don’t think many vegan alternatives to products taste as good as ‘the real thing’.
Idk I just think of my grandma when she was very old with dementia and not able to do much really - but she loved her food. I’d have found it really difficult to deny her non vegan food that she liked? what are your thoughts?
What you’re describing here is valid, but it’s also essentially just a description of the challenges of living an ethical life. There are always barriers to doing the right thing, and doing the wrong thing is usually quite a lot easier - that isn’t at all unique to veganism. Yes there are challenges and other things to worry about, but everyone should be doing their best to live well and to not cause harm when you can avoid it.
There are for sure people who experience real barriers to eating plant-based, some moreso than most, from health issues to food deserts, but there is really nothing unique about food when it comes to ethical decision making. We can advocate that people should do the right thing while acknowledging that doing so can be difficult.
I don’t think we need to be able to argue that vegan food tastes just as good (even though I think it does), or that it’s super easy for anyone to be vegan, we just need to be able to say that not exploiting animals and destroying our planet in the process is the right thing to do. It’s up to all of us as individuals to figure out our situation and how much we’re able to do the right thing in any context, but even if we’re not able to do it, it doesn’t change the fact that it is the right thing.
All veganism asks of us is to do our best, precisely because it is a moral principle and not a diet. Making ethical decisions will very often be more difficult - its easier to not think about companies you support, to not reflect on your own prejudices and to never challenge anyone else on theirs. You may have valid reasons for doing the wrong thing, hurting others to benefit yourself, for making other lives more difficult to make yours easier, but it being understandable and there being valid reasons behind it doesn’t make it any less wrong.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while, but I’m gonna be brave and post it since my friend @dazzlerazz was talking about AI art recently. Razz I realize that we probably disagree on this, and I hope you know that I respect both you and your opinions and will not get angry if you want to convince me to change mine 💕
First off, I personally do not like AI art. As an illustrator, my career is one of the most jepoardized by the spread of AI content. I’m also part of the group that finds a lot of AI art viscerally uncomfortable to look at and I avoid it for that reason. But all that said, I have never liked the argument that “AI is bad because it’s not human”.
Art by its very nature strongly benefits from the personal history, cultural awareness, and generally what’s known as “creativity” that computers will likely never be able to replicate. But my point is that lacking “creativity” or “humanity” is, in and of itself, not a moral problem. A moral problem is something that actively causes harm to people. The fact that AI fails at a major function of art is a technical issue, not a moral one. AI can’t include those personal touches, which means it’s poorly suited to many kinds of art, but it does not make it “evil”.
Ultimately, the way I think of art is that it’s a form of self-expression and communication between individuals. By that definition, AI cannot and will not ever be art. But if it’s not art, we have to realize it’s a tool, and the only thing that can make it “good” or “evil” is how people use it.
The reason I think so many people get worked up about AI’s “humanity” is that, understandably (see the above point about self-expression) we’re very sentimental about art. That sentimentality is a valuable asset. But at the same time, I’ve improved both my craft and mental health significantly by being able to separate it out. There are aspects of the art process that benefit from logic, habit, or random chance over personal feelings. Logic and habit and chance are not evil, they are also valuable assets. Logic and habit and chance being your only assets also does not make you evil. It’s just that if that’s true, as it is with AI, you shouldn’t pretend that you can do the sentimental parts as well.
And that’s where AI art does become a moral problem, and where it might be considered “evil”—if it’s used for something it can’t do, by people who don’t care about the result, to the detriment of others’ careers and lives. “Souless” content that saturates the market with recycled ideas is a real problem, and AI makes such content easier than ever to create. But I’d like the conversation to focus on that, rather than the nebulous morality of the tool itself. Hate AI all you want, I do too, but the argument should never be about the inhuman tool over the humans who use it.

About Nina Cerasus’s illness the HCM
I mentioned in most of the chapters in Star-crossed and in Heavenbound (they both my fic you can read them here) that she has an illness that causes her character to have some plotlines and complexity.
It is actually a rare disease in real life, and not many know about it, so I decided to make an extra post to share some extra info about it. Let’s dig in!
About HCM:
It’s a type of heart disease called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).
It basically causes the heart muscles to thicken, which in turn makes it more difficult to pump blood through the body’s system. HCM is a heart disease that can affect how effectively the heart can pump blood.
HCM is autosomal dominant condition, meaning that individuals have a 50% chance of inheriting, or passing on, the predisposition to this disorder to their children. (Nina inherited from her father Felix who already had a heart transplant surgery.)
What is it like to live with a disease like this?
The symptoms that Nina exhibits include shortness of breath, chest pain, and a propensity for fainting or feeling dizzy. There’s also a heightened risk of heart failure or sudden cardiac death. Also the medications she needs to take, make her often have a cold nose, hands and feet.
People with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) will benefit from a heart-healthy diet. This includes a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains and low in added sugar, sodium, and trans and saturated fats.
So Nina usually eats a very healthy balanced meal.
Making lifestyle changes such as exercising more, quitting smoking, and avoiding alcohol are beneficial. However, if you have HCM you should speak with a doctor before increasing your physical activity. The recommendation for people with HCM is to avoid high-intensity exercise since it can worsen symptoms. This is why Nina has pilates classes with Master Plo, and meditating classes.
About drinking coffee or other caffeinated drinks, always talk to your cardiologist! Because  caffeine is a stimulant that affects everyone differently. If you are living with HCM, know how the foods, beverages, and supplements you consume could affect your heart rhythm.
Like alcohol, caffeine can also cause dehydration, which can worsen the symptoms of HCM. Ask your doctor about caffeine and what levels of coffee, soda, tea, and other caffeinated products are safe for you to drink.
I made Nina a tea girlie.
Women with HCM generally tolerate pregnancy well. The risk is however higher in women who are symptomatic before pregnancy or in those with severe left ventricular outflow tract obstruction. The incidence of arrhythmias does not appear to be increased during pregnancy and maternal mortality is low. But I made Nina make the decision to not have her own biological baby, and choose adoption instead in the Heavenbound storyline.
Author's Note:
I have to say that people with this kind of disease can live a normal life.
But I slightly overemphasized Nina's illness at certain points for dramaturgical reasons.
For example, hyperspace travels take a toll on her, if she doesn't receive certain treatment beforehand. This idea came from the fact that all travel can be physically stressful for us, so traveling in space and hyperspace jumping can certainly have an even greater effect on a person, and there is also space radiation. Thus, Nina must receive a certain vitamin cocktail injection in my story before the trip. This is, of course, fiction!
Nina avoids alcohol, smoking and caffeine-based drinks mostly. In her early 20's and party years she drinks and occasionally smokes, and quits it after receiving some bad news of her health.
She drinks mint tea. She exercises often and takes the necessary medications despite the side effects. She chose not to have a baby because she does not want to pass on this disease and is also afraid of death caused by childbirth.
I also wanted to show the emotional side of what it's like to live with this type of illness. In Star-crossed fic I have written many emotions based on my own experiences. (Not everyone accepts this disease with such feelings, of course it happens differently for everyone.) But in Nina's point of view - even if it was a little exaggerated - I gave her a lot of emotions and memories from my life.
In the first chapter and several other crisis situations, Nina experiences these  emotional "storms".
These panic attacks usually happen to her after experiencing trauma. For example, when her mother died or when her father left them. When she found out about her illness and when Maul left her. (all mentioned in Star-crossed fic). It’s basically a panic attack mixed with deep repressed depression bursting out.
She called these episodes "storms" because just like the rain clouds these episodes end eventually.
Under these episodes she usually feels chest pain, dizziness, nauseous and she can't stop crying for a long time.
Nina is terribly ashamed of these episodes, she feels weak and vulnerable, which she hates. In such cases, she releases all suppressed anger and sadness by crying. When they are over, Nina is numb and quiet, her mind clears as she rebuilds her armor/or inner world. She represses and buries all the painful memories and thus tries to move on. (The first chapter of Star-crossed is basically an episode of one of her "storm.")
I know I kinda trauma dumped her, but don't feel bad about it. With these illnesses both physical and mental I wanted to give her character some complexity, and some dramatic deep feelings.
She is my character and I wanted to write a character who has the same illness as me. This is a kind of personal coping mechanism for me and I don't want to receive negative comments about it. If you don't like it, or triggered by it then, please move on to another blog and another story.
Taglist: @hellhound5925 @cloneloverrrrr @stardustbee @the-chains-are-the-easy-part @firstofficerwiggles
let me know if you would like to be added!

Come on, in what world does it make sense that Taennie is PR? For what purpose? Or option is that they are pretending to be together to hide Taekook? All of a sudden? After Taekook have been ‘so loud’ lately according to you delusional shippers?
Tae is STRAIGHT and has been with Jennie for over a year. He and JK are fiends and always have been. You need to give it up. Like, really, after all of the photos that leaked of them and now this, you still can’t see the truth?? You need help. Like not joking or being mean; it’s a psychological issue at this point.
In what world doesn't it? PR relationships happen all the time. Usually to drum up publicity and attention, or to change how the public view someone. Like improving their image or hiding their sexuality.
Has it ever occurred to you that taekook have been so "loud" because of this? And it's not "all of a sudden", the Taennie rumours have been around for ages, and Taehyung has been benefitting from them. I mean, you think he's straight don't you? How much of that belief is a result of his supposed relationship with Jennie?
I'm delusional? Yet you're also assuming his sexuality and who he's in a relationship with? Okay 😂 And thanks for the concern for my mental health 😁
I believe in taekook because of the overwhelming evidence of their relationship over the years. Some people are so desperate for him to be straight, and in a relationship with a woman, that they ignore any signs that say otherwise.
Suddenly PR relationships are so unheard of? So unlikely? And yet they're happening all the time. Listen, I'm open to being wrong. These are just thoughts, I'm not stating facts 🤷‍♀️ I don't think there'll be an official Taennie announcement. Why? Because its not real. But as long as they keep dropping hints, even though they'll never actually admit to a relationship, people like you will eat it up.
