All right, time to discuss Spell the Beans, this is your spoiler warning. I've previously talked about how I view Draculaura practicing witchcraft this gen as a gay allegory, and considering this episode's theme, I have thoughts. Buckle up, this analysis of sorts will get long. (Also, homophobia will be mentioned)
What kicks the episode off is Drac losing a potion bottle, which gets found and is the reason for Bloodgood calling everyone's parents in to help search. Once again, Toralei wants her to be found out, and with all the talk of witchcraft making Draculaura feel like herself, it being something she won't consider giving up despite it having the potential to cause so many problems for her (Toralei trying to snitch on her, her parents or other students potentially reacting badly, expulsion), frames it like she has no choice about being a witch. Like it's innate (You know. Like being queer). Which also means Toralei is basically trying to out her which is... not great (I like her but I can't deny that- girlie has issues).
A scene soon after that shows Draculaura freaking about about the fact that her dad will be there, specifically to find the witch. What's interesting is that she clearly doesn't intend to keep this a secret from him. Here's some quotes:
"I should have told dad about my witchcraft last weekend when I planned to! But then he saw my report card, and he was so proud. He kept saying how I was following in his bat steps to become the premier first and foremost top monster."
"That's the vampire way. Once something is decided, they don't change it, no matter how silly, outdated, or pfft-y it sounds. That's why it's so hard to tell him I do witchcraft."
Clawdeen asks if she'll tell him when he gets there, to which she says: "In the middle of a witchhunt? No way. As the Pfft, he has to uphold the rules. He'd expell me!"
So what can we gather from this? She was planning to come out to him, most likely because since she views witchcraft as such a core part of herself, something she has to admit to truly be able to be herself around him. She planned it out and everything (as I'm sure a lot of us have before coming out so someone. I sure did), but backed down because he was proud, dissuading her from ruining his positive view of her in that moment. She knows he won't like her being a witch thanks to his outdated views, and yet all that's kept her from telling him sooner was fear of someone so close to her not accepting her (again, relatable).
Now the only reason she won't tell him is because in a school environment, she'd get punished. This is rather bleek, but there are still many places in the world where you can get expelled for being queer, including several schools in the US from what I've gathered, so it's an easy comparison to make.
Dracula holds a presentation on why witchcraft is forbidden, concluding that it's a danger to monsters, to which Draculaura says to herself: "Fine, some witches are bad, but witchcraft isn't inherently bad". It's reminiscent of queer people getting clumped together as a threat to society, children, the family, all that nonsense. People have always loved to take singular incidents of a queer person doing something abhorrent, and taking that as "proof" that all queer folks are a danger and should be shunned, or worse, not be allowed in certain jobs or be persecuted.
When Dracula asks Draculaura to help him find the witch, she immediately goes from happy to see him to uncomfortable. Like getting stuck in yet another conversation with your parents where they go on about their discomfort with gay or trans people or whatever it is that time, she's stuck with him demonizing witchcraft right before her, not knowing he's making her feel awful the whole time.
(A sillier sidenote, but the "Witch-Detector" made me think of the whole gaydar thing. Not relevant though.)
Draculaura ends up telling him the truth because she doesn't want Toralei to get expelled for something she didn't do. And her dad doesn't want to believe her. He lists down reasons that basically say 'you're too respectable to be a witch', but she leaves no room for doubt. And he's extremely disappointed.
She tries to explain to him that his views are skewed by his preconceived notions, and he shouts at her. "So you're breaking the rules for some frivolous hobby? You must give it up, now! Before it ruins your chance to be Pfft!" She tells him she doesn't want to follow in his footsteps. That she didn't know how to tell him because she knew he'd be upset. And he says, that well, of course he is! He treats it like something she can change, when the show never treats that like an option. Telling her he's worried for her future. When she tries to show him the beauty in what she's doing, he just leaves her standing there.
I do appreciate this scene. Many of us aren't lucky enough to have parents who immediately accept their kid after they come out, and the show built up to a bad reaction from him. This was bound to happen. A lot of parents don't want their kids to be gay because of homophobia, yes, but there's also often an element of fear. Of others thinking the same way as them, mistreating them because of it, having fewer chances for your future. It's all reflected in his reaction.
He ends up talking to Apollo (Clawdeen's dad), going on a whole tangent of what his super "handsome friend" (Why do you want him to see you as handsome so bad?🤨) (Also the friend is Dracula), should do if his daughter isn't quite who he thought she was, liking something he sees as dangerous, when he believed she liked "Respectable things" (there that is again), he worries she won't be happy. What I just said. Apollo explains that his kid's happiness is more important than his own opinions on what she's doing, and that she'll be safer if he supports her.
And queer people are safer when they are supported. Mental health wise.
It's enough for him to reconsider. He ends up talking to Draculaura, and they team up to get Toralei out of trouble without revealing Drac as a witch. He tells her that he'll do his best to change the rules.
So what are my thoughts? This was a fairly well executed episode, in my opinion. From my queer allegory perspective, the topic was handled in a manner very remisncent of common real life experiences. Dracula's initial negative reaction was hard to watch, but was the right choice to include it, and while he was rather quick to change his mind, for my taste, I do understand the show not wantig to leave their younger audience on such a sour note. While him only (reluctantly) changing his mind because the witch happened to be someone he loved was hypocritical, it's realistic. We often fear the things we've been taught to shun until it applies to someone close to us. Until it becomes more personal.
Overall, I'm content enough with how this was done. Most of all, since most of Draculaura's friends still don't appear to know by the end of the episode, and witchcraft is still forbidden, I wonder how that will be handeled. I also wonder if Toralei's outing attempts will ever be mentioned and discussed.
That's all I have to say for now. Thank you if you got this far, and please, tell me your thoughts!

Unexpected date
This weekend there was a festival in Jericho so all the students who requested it were allowed to go to town, I had heard from my roommate that there would be a mini fair in town. I had never been to a fair, my parents were always busy working and when they had vacations we spent it visiting the family on the beach, eating together and visiting some ancient ruins.
The idea of finally being able to visit one was exciting but there was a problem, I was afraid of going alone, just thinking about going to a new place full of people without any kind of someone to keep me company made me nervous. Enid would surely go with Ajax, Wednesday would rather drink poison than come to this colorful and crowded event having fun, Divina would surely go with Yoko, Bianca and Kent would surely be with the rest of the Nightshades having fun.
While I was considering the options I look at the clock and I realize that the class was almost over, I attend the rest of the class and wait until the bell rings. After what felt like a few seconds the bell rings, I pick up my things and I put them in my backpack in an orderly way, once everything is placed and the zipper is closed I raise my head, my heart almost came out in front of my table was Kent looking at me with that beautiful smile that always decorated his pretty face.
-Are you okay? I'm sorry, I wanted to ask you something and I couldn't wait to ask you, I didn't expect to scare you.
-It's okay, I didn't hear you approach so you took me by surprise. What did you want to ask me?
-This weekend there is a festival in Jericho and I thought that we could go, you know, together.
I was shocked at the proposal but I quickly recovered and told him what I wanted to tell him so much.
-Of course!! I had never been to an amusement park or a fair and I wanted to go with someone but I thought that you all already have plans so I did not dare to ask you, I am glad that you invited. Kent's smile grew bigger after knowing the answer, he was jumping for joy.
-Great, wait, have you never been to a fair or an amusement park?!
-No, I have never been to an amusement park or a fair because my parents spend their time working and when they are free we visit the family so unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to go, and I am ashamed to ask my parents to go to one because I feel like they wouldn't have fun, it's not the kind of thing they like to visit. My answer takes him by surprise, he looks like a puffer fish opening and closing his mouth, I don't know how he managed to look silly but adorable at the same time, I almost giggled. Seeing my reaction, she quickly composes herself and returns to her usual smile.
-That's great! - he says happily
I look at him strangely, not knowing what to say.
-What I want to say is that it makes me happy to be the first person to show you the attractions and the stalls with food and games. - I was so excited that I could visualize a puppy tail moving from one side to the other - I promise you it will be The best date you've ever had in your life!!
Date? - I ask as I feel how all the blood goes to my cheeks. Kent realizes what he just said and tries to explain as he stutters.
-I.. i-I wanted to say that-t-t, It j-just came out of my mouth without thinking,- he stops short and then blushes after thinking about the words he had just said- BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN I WANTED TO GO I'M ON AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOU!!! - He puts his hands on his head and before running off he tells me - what I wanted to say is that IhopeIcanmakeourvisittherethebestyou'veeverhadinyourlife, see youtomorrow.
I stay planted looking at the place where a few seconds ago he was standing and a smile forms thinking about the "date" tomorrow.
POV Kent I can't believe she directly told him that the visit to Jericho was a date. I am an idiot!!! I was so excited that he ran away from me without even thinking about it, I hope it didn't bother him. I urgently need to speak to Divina, I hope she has some advice.
Narrator POV Worried, Kent goes to his sister's room, fortunately the person in charge of guarding the wing of the female dormitories was nowhere to be found, so he takes the opportunity to quickly go to the door of her twin's room. He gives a few quick taps on the door, after a while the door opens showing Divina with a puzzled face but she doesn't have time to register what is happening because her sister puts her into the room and closes the door quickly. -What have you got into you???
-I almost asked my crush out!!!
-Wait, wait, what? she-she is surprised by her brother's response-I need you to calm down, what exactly happened?
-Well, since I had no companion for the festival that is tomorrow in Jericho, I plucked up my courage and asked him to go with me.
-And then what happened???
-That's what I'm going to wait for, she was super excited - she starts to smile thinking about how beautiful she looked all excited about the invitation - she told me that she had never been to a festival or an amusement park so I got excited thinking about all kinds of plans to do together with her and well,… I accidentally told her that I would make it the best date. -all the shame returned to him and she just wanted the sea to swallow him at that very moment.
Divina faced the situation and hugs her brother to comfort him.
-And what happened afterwards?
- I tried to explain myself but I just blurted out a lot of nonsense words and said goodbye to her quickly, I've been like an idiot, right?
Divina remains thoughtful trying to analyze the situation carefully, she knew that the love that Kent had for you was reciprocated since both Bianca and she had caught you looking at Kent while they were chatting and how you smiled every time you talked about him. She knew that what she was going to say was something that would change tomorrow's evening but she believed that it was important to tell her brother in order to calm him down.
-Your crush likes you -What…?-Kent is shocked without being able to process the words that had just come out of his sister's mouth-are you kidding??! -No tuna head, she really likes you but you never realize it because you are looking at each other as if you were swans in love and you don't notice anything.
With this new information, Kent goes from being embarrassed to being excited as if he were a little boy who just received the best gift in the world.
-I need to plan everything for tomorrow, I'll make this the best date I've ever had and then I'll ask him if he wants to be my partner.
-Do not screw up and remember this: do not tell anybody that I told you this
-You are the best twin in the world, thank you!!!
He gives his sister a bear hug and quickly goes to her room to prepare everything for tomorrow.
Back to the reader POV It's finally the next day, I'm so excited for the festival plus Kent was going to be the one who was going to be my guide. I get ready in a matter of minutes and I take the things that I was going to need and I quickly go to the place that we had agreed. I finally get to the school door as soon as I was about to turn around I feel a hand resting on my shoulder and I feel my heart jump in fear before I can react I hear a familiar voice.
-Are you OK?
-Yes, it's just that I didn't see you around here and suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder and I got scared.
-I didn't realize I'm so sorry.
-It's okay, I'm glad it was you, are we going to the festival?
He just flashes me one of those beaming smiles that has to make you forget what you were doing and just gawk. Fortunately, I come back to reality when I hear a group of friends talking animatedly about trivial things, we go to the bus and spend the rest of the trip talking, getting to know each other, talking about how our lives were before entering the academy until we finally arrived at our place. destination. Everything looked so lively and full of life between the colorful stalls and the lights of the attractions, I could feel the excitement emanating from Kent as if he were a little boy on his birthday.
-Come on, I have prepared a thousand things to do, you are going to hallucinate!
Before I could even form a word, he grabs my hand and leads me from one stall to the next. There were all kinds of things we went from stalls with stuffed animals, cotton candy and popcorn shops, cafeterias, shops with a huge variety of delicious sweets, we tried not to stuff ourselves with sweets, but it was almost impossible, everything looked so delicious that it was impossible to resist . I had brought my mobile to take photos, I didn't want to miss anything of this moment, I took photos of both the food and the place. I saw a Fair Ferris Wheel so I caught the attention of Kent who was devouring the cloud of sugar that he had bought for a while, he turns to see me and I try to suppress a laughter, around his mouth he had pieces of cotton candy and remnants of the sticky pink sugar from it. He looks at me strangely as he tilts his head to the side like he's a puppy.
-It's just that your mouth is dirty from cotton candy - he is surprised and tries to clean his mouth without success since cotton candy is unfortunately quite sticky so it was difficult to remove it from his face - wait I'll help you now.
I grab one of the packets of wipes I always carry in my backpack and help him remove the cotton candy that had stuck to his face.
-Take it in case you need it at any time, they have saved me from more than one trouble.
-Thank you,
He gives me a small thank you as he stares at me, and I toss the used wipe in a nearby trash can and hand him one of the remaining packets from one of my backpack pockets.
-Take it in case you need it at any time, they have saved me from more than one disappointment.
He gives me a smile as a thank you - did you want to tell me something before?
-Would you like to go to the Fair Ferris Wheel? - I said hopefully
Clear! It was one of the things I had planned for today - look in the direction of the Fair Ferris Wheel to see if there was a long queue - we can go now since there is no queue. What do you think?
I nod at the proposal and when he sees this he starts to quickly eat what was left of the cotton candy, he makes sure that there are no remains on his face and he takes my hand towards the Fair Ferris Wheel. We quickly reached our destination, luckily there were not many people and we went to one of the cabins without any problem. The views from the Ferris wheel were beautiful, you could see the whole festival from above, everything looked so small from above.
I was glad to have come and to have enjoyed the festival, especially to have shared this experience with someone else. I start to take photos of the views from the cabin window and while taking the photos I can see from the reflection of the window how Kent was looking at something as if he was mesmerized with a sparkle in his eyes that I have never seen before, I'm curious What was it able to capture your attention?
-The landscape is simply hypnotic, isn't it? "I think you're the most hypnotic thing tonight," he says softly.
I turn surprised at his response and I feel how all my blood rushes to my cheeks and I was simply stunned looking at him. He walks over to my seat and kneels as he takes my hands as I continue to process what's happening.
-Ever since you smiled at me that day while you were talking to Bianca in the choir I felt my heart beating a thousand an hour and we hadn't exchanged any words but I knew I wanted to be by your side. As I got to know you and listened to people talk about you, my admiration for you increased, I also began to fall in love with you little by little.
He takes a breath of air preparing to ask the final question.
-I know it's a bit sudden but I feel like if I don't say it I feel like I'm going to explode so would you like to make me the happiest man in the world and be my partner?
The tears are forming and I feel that I couldn't be happier, I just throw myself into her arms and hug her as if it were a sweet dream about to end and I laugh happily.
-Of course I want to be your partner, my sea prince, I love you too.
And that's how we ended our date, hugging each other at the top of the Ferris wheel and happy to finally confess those repressed feelings for so many months.

Part Two
The whole thing looked suspicious to you. Billy was acting too strange. He didn't run and throw himself on the couch when he got back from camp, or throw his shoes around the house like he always did. He also didn't pick up the basketball reference you made to him in the car. At first you thought maybe it was puberty. But he told you he was tired from the trip, and you messed up his hair, and told him to go get something to eat. When your dog Krypto didn't recognize him, you told him that he needed to change his clothes, because he must be smelling the camp.
Running the vineyard was taking all your time, but you were hoping to spend some time with your boy now that he was back.
You were surprised when your fiancée showed up at your house unannounced. You were trying to find a way to tell Billy about Tabitha. You met her when Billy was at camp, and you hired her as a publicist for the vineyard. And even you yourself were surprised when she asked you out. Many dates later, you were engaged to be married. You tried not to think about it so much, and to remember Tabitha's words, saying that Billy would be happy to have two mother figures, that she would help you take care of him because she had a freer schedule than yours. Honestly, you were surprised that she was in love with you.
Natasha, your best friend and housekeeper, gave you an incredulous and debauched look when you told her about your engagement, but didn't question you. You imagined that she just wanted to make fun of you.
Tabitha told you that you should tell her about the engagement right away, like ripping off a band aid. You were trying to find the right moment.
When you and Billy went out riding, you decided to tell him, hoping that he would be happy. You were a little nervous, finding it strange when he didn't even remember your usual camping trip before the end of the summer, but you thought he was just distracted.
- Hey honey, I want to tell you something. - You said, and he looked away from the vineyard in front of him and looked at you curiously. - What do you think of Tabitha?
- Like what, Mom? - He replies. - Your publicist? Your friend?
- No, dear, just what you think of her as a person. - You clarify a bit awkwardly.
Billy thought for a few seconds.
- Well, she's pretty, has good teeth and nice hair. She can spell. - He replied. - But honestly, Mom, she's a complete stranger to me. Why do you want my opinion?
You hesitated for a moment, and swallowed your nervousness.
- Well, Billy, I'll tell you why. - You said with a trembling voice. - Because believe it or not...
- Race to the house, Mom! - He shouted, interrupting you and riding away at high speed.
You choked in surprise, as you shouted that you were trying to tell him something, but he kept riding away. You mumbled to yourself, as you rode after him.
When you finally reached the house, Natasha was crying. You ran up to her to ask if she was all right, but she just smiled, saying that they were tears of happiness, that Billy was so big and healthy. You frowned in confusion, but you were too distracted in telling your son that you were getting married to think much about it. And then Natasha left the room saying that she was going to prepare a special lunch for you both, and you sat with Billy on the sofa.
- Honey, we need to talk now. - You told him, trying to sound serious and gentle at the same time. Billy just nodded. - Honey, I want to know how you feel about Tabatha being part of the family.
- Part of our family?
- Yes.
- I think it's incredible. - He said, and you felt a wave of relief wash over your body.
- Really?
- Totally, Mom! It's a dream! - he said excitedly. - I always wanted a big sister!
It was as if a bucket of cold water had fallen on your head.
- Honey, I don't... I think you've got it wrong.
- No, mommy! I love it! - He says. - We're going to adopt Tabitha! That's so sweet, Mom.
- No, honey. - You deny it flatly. - I'm not adopting her. I'm marrying her.
It takes a second, and then Billy lets out a mixed exclamation of surprise and anger, getting up from the couch.
- Marry her? That's crazy! - he shouts. - How can you marry someone who is young enough to be my sister?
And then he starts shouting in a language you think is Russian as he paces in circles around the room, and you raise your eyebrows in surprise.
- Honey, calm down! - you ask, pulling him gently towards you. - And since when do you speak Russian?
- I learned it at camp. - He answers quickly, and then assumes an almost hurt expression. - You can't get married, Mama! It will ruin everything!
And he lets go of your grip, rushing out of the room. You let out a sigh of dissatisfaction, thinking about how it all went wrong, and throw yourself on the sofa. Natasha looks at you from the kitchen door.
- That was shameful. - She comments.
- He thought I was going to adopt her. - You retort with your eyes closed and your head against the pillows.
- That's exactly why it was embarrassing. - She scoffs, laughing softly. You don't answer, beginning to feel a slight headache forming.
You barely have time to absorb the whole conversation, when you hear a radio noise in the distance. But a few minutes, and Tabitha enters the room, sitting on your lap.
- Hello, sweetie. - She said - You look stressed.
And then she kissed you, wrapping both hands around your neck. You really just wanted to go back to bed. You let out an unsatisfied sigh, interrupting the kiss. Tabitha looked at you curiously.
- I told Billy about our wedding. - You said, and she seemed excited.
- And how was it?
- Horrible! - you said, upset. - He was furious. He yelled at me in Russian, and I didn't even know he spoke Russian!
Tabitha let out a giggle.
- Take it easy, sweetie. - She said, rubbing her hands on your shoulders. - It's a very common reaction. I'd be worried if he didn't have a reaction like that. - She argues, and begins to deposit kisses against your collarbone. You appreciate the touch, even if they don't really affect you that much. - Let me talk to him. He needs to know that I'm not an enemy.
You let out a low grumble, running your right hand over your eyes.
- Okay, Tabi. - You agree. - But be gentle.
She giggles mischievously, giving you a kiss before getting up. You sink your face into your hands as she leaves, feeling tired.
It's been a few days since you told Billy about your marriage. He hasn't mentioned it again, but he is treating you normally. Tabitha told you that the conversation went well, and you believed her.
Now you are packing your bags, getting ready to go for a weekend in the Hamptons, where Tabitha's parents, whom you haven't met yet, will be staying. You have a strange feeling, as if something is going to happen, but you can't tell what it is.
And when you drive to the hotel, you sit with Billy in the back seat while Natasha drives, and you share some snacks. Billy also begs you to take Krypto, and you agree while ruffling his hair.
Tabitha's parents seem nice, you think. They greet you quite enthusiastically, and you are embarrassed when Tabitha slips her hand to your buttocks for a moment when you hug.
After you check in, you and Tabitha say goodbye to her parents temporarily as they leave toward the bar, and you both make your way to the elevator to your rooms, with Billy and Natasha following a bit behind as they try to get Krypto to obey. Tabitha is particularly needy today, and you wish she wouldn't cling to you so much in such a crowded place, feeling uncomfortable.
As you press the elevator button for your floor, while Tabitha snuggles up to you, you look toward the lobby and widen your eyes in surprise. Your ex-wife, Wanda Maximoff is standing in the center of the lobby, and she waves to you just before the elevator door closes completely. You think you are hallucinating, and wonder if you have finally lost your mind.
Tabitha continues kissing your collarbone, but you are completely disconnected from reality. When you arrive at your room, she pulls you inside, trying to take off your clothes.
- No, darling. I'm sorry. - You deny it, pushing her hands away as you try to think of a plausible excuse. - I need to see if everything is okay with Billy and Nat, okay? We'll see about that later.
Tabitha pouts, but lets you go, strutting sensuously into the bathroom. You smile awkwardly, then leave the room.
You look around as if you're looking for someone, and you really are. And then you bump into Billy in the hallway.
- Hey baby! - You greet him by bending down to his height and putting your hands on his shoulders. - I'm going to go to the lobby. Do me a favor and look after Tabitha for me, will you?
- All right, Mom.
- Oh, honey. - You say hesitantly. - How do I look? Do I look good?
Billy smiles, giving you a thumbs-up.
- You look beautiful, Mom.
- Okay, okay. - You say clumsily, and mess up his hair before heading back toward the elevator.
When you reach the lobby, you look around, trying to locate Wanda around. And you're startled to see Billy again.
- Honey, I thought you were going to keep Tabitha company. - You say, and he looks slightly nervous.  But you're not really paying attention.
- I will, Mom. - He says, looking around quickly. - I'm just trying to find her.
- Okay. - You mumble without really listening to him. - I'll walk around here, and see you upstairs.
But then Billy hugs you tight around the waist.
- It's good to see you, Mom. - He whispered, and you frowned in confusion, but smiled, bending down to return the hug quickly.
- It's good to see you too, honey. - You joked, and pulled him away slightly to make sure he was all right. He looked happy.
- It's okay, Mom, you can go. - He said, and you ruffled his hair before heading off in the opposite direction, looking around with a mixture of nervousness and excitement.
The hotel was quite large, and you had been looking for many minutes by the time you got to the pool area.
And then you saw her, in all her glory, coming down the stairs on the opposite side from where you were standing. A smile slipped from your lips at the same moment, and you felt your heart race. Wanda looked just as beautiful as the last time you saw her, almost twelve years ago.
Your feet moved automatically, but it seemed that suddenly all the people in the pool area were in your way to get to her. You heard Natasha call out to you, warning you to be careful, but then you are bumping into one of the waiters, stumbling backwards and falling into one of the pools.
You think Billy screamed in surprise, but you kept following Wanda through the water, she noticed you with all this commotion.
Coming out of the pool, completely drenched, you let out a happy sigh as you stopped in front of her.
You should be grinning like an idiot, but Wanda also seemed amazed to see you.
- Wanda. - You sighed.
- Hi Y/N.
- Wow, there you are. - You said, still impressed. Wanda just smiled at you, equally embarrassed. - Sorry, something's happened that I don't know about. I'm completely surprised to see you, but you don't seem surprised to see me at all. - You say and Wanda looks away quickly. - I haven't seen, or known anything about you for ten or maybe eleven years. And suddenly on the same day...
- Hi Mom. - Billy interrupts you, and you look at him in surprise. - I can explain why she's here.
- Honey, do you... do you know who she is?
- Actually, I do. - He says, smiling awkwardly. - And actually, I'm not Billy.
- Actually, I am.
You choke in surprise to see your two twins together, next to each other.
- What... You two...
- You and Mom must think alike, because you sent us to the same camp. - Billy says. You feel your heart racing, still completely in shock. - We met there, and everything came up.
- They switched places, Y/N. - Clarified Wanda beside you.
You let out a sigh.
- You mean I was with Tommy all this time? - you ask with emotion in your voice.
- Well, I wanted to know what you were like. - Tommy said. - And Billy wanted to know what Mom was like. Are you angry?
- Honey of course not. - You denied it by bending down to his height. - I just can't believe it's you, look how much you've grown. - You say happily, pulling him into a tight hug. You pull him away a moment later to look at his face tenderly, running your fingers over his cheeks. - My boy looks so handsome.
Tommy smiles at you, and then releases your grip, returning to his brother's side.
- And you, Billy, have you been in London all this time? - you ask, and he shrugs. You let out a short laugh before hugging him tightly. - I can't believe you're together.
- Mom is awesome, Mom. - Says Billy looking at you. - I don't know how you let her get away.
You laugh uncomfortably, then let him go.
- Boys, let me and your mother talk for a moment, okay? - Wanda asks with a smile. Billy and Tommy nod slightly, and you put your hands in your pockets awkwardly as you and Wanda walk around the pool until you sit on one of the benches, facing each other. You think you should try to stop smiling so much, but this must be the happiest you've been in twelve years.
- I can't believe this. - You comment, biting your lips for a moment. - Seeing them together. Seeing you.
Wanda giggles, a slight redness in her cheeks.
- How are you, Wands? - you ask, and realize that the nickname escapes your lips with ease. - Or does everyone call you Miss Maximoff now?
She smiles, a little awkwardly, denying it with her head.
- My brother still calls me Wands. - She says. - You can call me whatever you like. - She smiles awkwardly.
- And how is Pietro? - you find yourself asking. You were overflowing with curiosity, wanting to absorb as much of Wanda as possible, afraid that she would disappear at any moment. - Is he married?
- Oh no. - She giggles. - Pietro lives with me now. He retired from racing. He goes on casual dates, but he says he doesn't want anything serious.
- You haven't changed a bit. - You comment, looking at her adoringly. God, she looks so beautiful.
- There you are! I've been looking all over for you! - says a female voice startling you both. You look away from Wanda quickly, Tabitha looks at you both with a frown. - Good, you have met. Honey, Miss Maximoff designs wedding dresses, and she's going to make... Wait, how do you two know each other? And honey, why are you all wet?
You and Wanda stand up awkwardly, you run your hand straight down the back of your neck, trying to think how exactly to explain, feeling Tabitha's confused gaze on you.
- You are going to make my fiancee's dress. - You say, turning to Wanda.
- I didn't know she was your fiancée. - She retorts.
- How we met... How I know you... - You turn to Tabitha again, trying to find a way to tell her. - How do you two know each other?
- Sorry, am I missing something here? - Tabitha asks with narrowed eyes.
- You know, this world is so small. - You comment with a wry smile.
- How small? - She replies seriously.
- Hello, Tabitha. - says Tommy, appearing next to the blonde. She greets him back, but then looks at you waiting for your answer.
- How are you? - Billy asks, appearing on the other side, and Tabitha jumps in fright.
- How... - She spins her body around quickly, varying her gaze and finger pointing between Billy and Tommy. - Two of them... How?
- So, did I ever mention that Billy was a twin?
- You forgot that little detail. - She replies with slight irritation in her voice, looking at you and crossing her arms.
- Don't be upset. - said Tommy. - She didn't tell me either. And by the way, I'm not Billy. He is. - He explained. - I was pretending to be him, while he was pretending to be me.
- And that's our other mother over there. - Said Tommy quickly pointing to the redhead next to you. - Wanda Maximoff.
Wanda smiled, but Tabitha didn't look happy at all.
- Is that your mother? - she asked incredulously. The boys nodded in agreement. - Were you two married?
- Yes. - Both of you confirmed clumsily.
- Oh, yes. Small world indeed. - Tabitha says.
- It just got smaller. - You comment nervously.
- And what a coincidence that we are all here together at the same weekend. - She adds wryly, while the boys exchange a mischievous glance. - Can I talk to you privately, Y/N?
You nod slightly as she turns and walks away, and then you turn to Wanda.
- It was ... it's ... good. Good to see you. - You say awkwardly, Wanda smiles and nods slightly. - We... I don't know...
- Go change your clothes and talk to your fiancée. - She pokes you lightly. But her gaze is not malicious. - We'll talk later.
By the time you reached Tabitha, she was already entering the elevators. You think you should be worried, but you just feel uncomfortable. You want to go back to the pool and talk to Wanda. Tabitha doesn't say anything until you are in your suite. Then she yells at you. You think she said something about trust, but you're not really listening. And then Tabitha slams the door on her way out, and you have a smile on your face, thinking of Wanda.
Tommy and Billy insist that the four of you have dinner together. And honestly, you make no effort to find excuses not to go.
And then you find yourself standing in front of the hotel, completely breathless at the image of your ex-wife wearing a red dress that embraces her in all the right places.
You feel embarrassed, not knowing exactly what to say or do, but Wanda lets you hold her arm as you walk together toward the harbor, the boys ahead of you.
And then you approach a big ship, and you feel your heart soar.
- Is that ?
- Yes. - Wanda confirms with a smile, looking as surprised as you are.
Parked in the harbor is the same ship you met twelve years ago. As you walk up the stairs, Wanda asks how the boys managed to get all this, and they just say they pooled their allowance with a little help from Uncle Pietro and Aunt Nat, which makes you and Wanda laugh.
When you arrive at one of the private dining rooms inside the ship, the boys guide you both inside, and you frown as you look at the dining table.
- Darlings, why are there only two chairs? - you ask, looking at your sons. They exchange mischievous glances.
- We're not having dinner with you. - says Billy.
- What? - Wanda asks
- I should have known better. - You make a humorous remark.
 - Come on, Mom. Don't be angry. - asks Tommy without looking the least bit sorry for his little plot. - We think you two have a lot to talk about.
You let out a sigh, agreeing. The boys leave a short time later, and you and Wanda sit down at a small table. It is an intimate and romantic dinner, and brings up feelings you have held for a long time.
- Are you okay with this, Wands? - you ask as soon as you are settled at the table. - With dinner I say. With me.
Wanda giggles.
- I'm the one who should be asking you that. - She says. - You're the one getting married.
The teasing makes something in your stomach turn nervously, and you give her an embarrassed smile and look away from her to the table. And then Pietro and Nat enter the room, dressed as waiters, and you both let out surprised exclamations.
- I won't even ask. - You joke, but the two of you just smile politely.
- Good evening, madames. - says Pietro. You notice how much older he looks since you last saw him. - We'll be serving dinner for you tonight.
- And these are the hors d'oeuvres. - Nat says as she places a few items on the table. You look at the dishes with curiosity, and are happy to see that they all look delicious.
They leave next, and you and Wanda exchange a look of amusement. You both sample a few things, and then you find yourself looking at Wanda again. She smiles when she notices.
- You want to ask me something. - she says with a smile. - Just ask.
- It's not a question, I think. - You say after a moment, trying to clarify your thoughts. Being with Wanda makes everything seem like background. - I was just wondering, how did this happen?
Wanda takes a sip of wine, raising her eyebrows slightly.
- What exactly happened? - she replies. - The ship? The children? The dinner?
You giggle, slumping back in your chair.
- Us, Wanda. - You say. - What happened to us?
Wanda looks away from you, looking slightly upset.
- I don't know Y/N. - She answers. - We were so young, immature and so, so temperamental. We both said stupid things. - She says with a slight nostalgia. - And then I left, and you didn't come after me.
She finishes her sentence with a quick sad smile, and you feel your stomach drop.
- I didn't think you would want this.
Wanda shrugged, a glint in her eyes that you couldn't read.
- It really doesn't matter anymore.
And then Pietro and Nat are back with the main courses, and you look away from Wanda quickly, an immense feeling of guilt and regret in your chest.
You have a lot to think about, but it has been so long, and now you had a fiancée, a life that went on without Wanda. You let out a sigh, raising your hand to the glass of wine, and turning it over in your mouth with a single gulp.
You ate in silence for a while, the food was tasty, but you thought you two had become quiet because of the conversation. But then Wanda looked at you again.
- What will happen now that they know? - Wanda asked, and you frowned slightly.
- Why would that be a problem?
 - We live in different countries. - She clarified. - What are we going to do, half of the year I stay with Billy, and the other half with Tommy?
You laughed awkwardly, running your hands through your hair.
- Wow, this is a terrible idea. - You declare and Wanda raises her eyebrow slightly. - The kids will never accept this. We'll just have to find a way to make it work.
You're starting to get a migraine thinking about everything.
- Maybe... things could stay the same. - she says. - And then they visit each other on vacation.
You nod in agreement. You hold the smile on your face even as you feel a great wave of nervousness at the thought that it was settled: Wanda would return to London, she would be out of your life again.
You finish dinner in a polite and friendly way, not talking any more. You think you might cry, but you drink more wine to calm your body.
When you and Wanda say good-bye in the hotel lobby, you kiss her cheek, and see in her eyes the same sadness and longing that you have.
You are trying not to get angry with your children, even though they are stubborn brats. You have already checked out of the hotel, and were getting ready to leave, when Tommy and Billy came down from their rooms to say goodbye. And then they matched clothes, and refused to say who is who so that you could leave.
- This is absolutely ridiculous, boys. - You comment next to Wanda. - Your mother will miss her flight.
But your children just kept their arms crossed, and you let out an impatient grumble.
- Kids, what's this about now? - Wanda asked. - Even if I miss the flight, eventually Tommy will come with me.
The boys exchanged a thoughtful look.
- We want everyone together at the camp at the end of the summer vacation. - Said one of the boys, you thought it might be Billy, but you weren't sure.
- And when we get back, we'll tell you who's who. - Completed the brother, maybe this was Billy.
- I have an even better idea! - you exclaim. - You obey your mothers and Tommy goes back to London as we agreed.
And that's how you ended up in a car with Wanda, and your two sons, and your fiancée heading for home. Tabitha was not at all happy about the whole situation.

Chris Evans One Shot
A Chris Evans request- You and Chris were together for a long time and have a daughter (maybe 3ish), but split up like a year ago. You’re still really close with his family so you are invited to a get together along with your daughter and he arrives after you (with a date???) and upset you were invited, but when he watches you with his family and his daughter he realizes the break up/moving on was a mistake..... this felt very long and specific so I apologize in advance 😂
Tumblr media
"Mama, where are we going?"
It was just after 5pm and you and your three year old daughter, Y/D/N, were getting into the car.
"We are going to grandma's for an Easter party."
You tell her as you buckle her into her carseat.
"Will Daddy be there?"
She asks and you sigh.
It had been a year since you and Chris had broken up and while he was a great father to your daughter, the two of you couldn't seem to be in the same room together for any extended amount of time.
"I don't know baby. Probably so."
You answer, trying your best to smile.
When Chris' mom, Lisa had called last week to invite you and Y/D/N to the party, you had hesitated, not wanting to cause issues during a family event.
"I don't know. Maybe I can just drop Y/D/N off and she can spend the night or something."
You offered, thinking it would make it easier on everyone involved.
"Nonsense! You are family too. Just because you and Chris broke up, doesn't mean we don't still love and miss you."
Lisa had loved you since the moment she had met you and over the years that you and Chris had been together had even begun referring to you as her daughter.
"Alright. We will be there."
You couldn't help but give in. The truth was, no matter what happened between you and Chris, your lives were connected forever because of your daughter and you had to do what was best for her, no matter how uncomfortable it may be for you.
"Grandma!"
Your daughter screams out and runs to Lisa as soon as you walk in the door, giving her a big hug.
"My little princess. You look so beautiful!"
Lisa says looking over the pastel colored dress and white shoes you had put her in.
"Thank you. Mommy picked it out."
She says, twirling around like she always did when she wore dresses.
"She did a great job."
Lisa replies, looking over to you with a sweet smile.
"How are you, Mama Evans?"
You ask as you hug her.
"Overwhelming happy to have my family here."
She replies just as Chris walks in, not alone.
"Daddy!"
Y/D/N spots Chris almost immediately and runs to him as he looks to you and then his mother, obviously not happy that you were invited in the first place.
"Hey, munchkin. How are you?"
He asks your daughter, picking her up.
"Daddy, who is that lady?"
Y/D/N asks pointing to the woman who had walked in with him.
"This is daddy's um friend."
Chris says, not really sure what to say to the three year old.
"Hey, princess, why don't you come with grandma and we will color some eggs with your cousins."
Lisa says, taking the little girl from Chris and carrying her to the kitchen where the other kids were.
Before Chris can say anything to you, you hold your hand up.
"I came because your mom asked me to. She said she wanted the whole family and that includes me and your daughter. So before you start in on the whole 'I shouldn't be here' thing, why don't you just not. I have just as much of a right to be here as anyone. Unlike, some."
You say, bitterness filling your voice as you eye Chris' date.
Once you say your peace, you follow Lisa and your daughter to the kitchen, leaving Chris still standing in the entryway.
As the night went on, you did your best to interact with Chris as little as possible, focusing on your daughter and the rest of the family rather than worry about what he was doing.
It was nearly 10pm and your daughter was passed out on the couch while you helped Lisa clean up, the two of you reminiscing about past holiday's over the years.
"Y/N, can I talk to you for a minute?"
You are startled at the sound of Chris' voice coming from the doorway of the kitchen.
"Sure. What's up?"
Chris motions towards the porch and you follow him with a sigh.
"Chris, if this is about your weekend with Y/D/N, I already to-"
You begin only to be cut off by Chris' lips on yours.
"What the hell was that?"
It takes you a second to react to what was happening but as soon as you do, you push him away.
"I made a huge mistake, Y/N. Seeing you and Y/D/N tonight, doing all of this family stuff, all I could do was stand there and watch because I broke our family up. I gave up on us and I ruined everything. I know that now and I am so sorry. Please tell me there is something I can do to fix it. I want to try again. I want you. I want my family back."
He had tears in his eyes as he spoke and if it hadn't been for the last year, the sincerity in his voice would have been enough for you to give in and give the two of you another chance but you couldn't.
"Chris, you made a choice and just because you have one night of clarity doesn't mean anything. You literally brought a date tonight. A few hours ago, you were pissed because I was here."
As much as you hated it, you had to be the voice of reason so you took a step back and began to lay out the harsh truth even if all you wanted to do was give into him.
"You don't want to be with me? You don't want Y/D/N to have her mommy and daddy back together?"
You looked in through the livingroom window to the couch where your daughter was sleeping, knowing how happy she would be if you and Chris got back together.
"No. Not like this. Not when you change your mind when things get hard. She is three years old Chris. She wouldn't understand us breaking up, getting back together and then if it happens again? It's not fair to her."
You shake the happy visions out of your head, choosing to do what was right for your little girl.
"But we wouldn't break up again."
He takes a step towards you, reaching for you.
"You can't promise that and I wouldn't want you to. It would hurt too much when you broke it."
You step back towards the door, reaching for the handle.
"Pick Y/D/N up Friday afternoon like you planned. You want to fix something? Keep your promises to your daughter. Be the amazing father I know you are and she deserves."
With that, you go back inside, grabbing all of your stuff and your daughter and say goodbye to the remaining members of the family before Scott helps you out to your car and you head home, still somewhat reeling over what Chris had said.

"Marry me."
When Jungkook said this, you honestly thought that he wanted to sing Jason Derulo's Marry Me.
It made sense. The two of you were inside a karaoke booth, singing obviously. It was Sunday, meaning both of you would be back to reality tomorrow: you had to go to work and Jungkook needed to talk to Soojin.
He couldn't date your sister because he was already dating you, though you told Jungkook not to broadcast your relationship with anyone.
Not yet. This wasn't the right time. You first needed to see how Soojin would react. You didn't want her to think that you stole Jungkook or something.
That wasn't the case. You liked Jungkook even before Soojin liked him. There was no point in denying your feelings.
Seventeen years of running was already enough. How could you escape when Jungkook already conquered your heart?
You were sure he liked you too, probably more than you liked him.
"Kook, you just sang Savage Love. Do you seriously want to blast another Jason Derulo's song?" You groaned, expecting him to argue, or to pout and beg you to play the song.
However he only stared at you, pursing his lips into a thin line before letting out a deep breath.
"No, Tiger," no matter how serious the topic was, Jungkook's voice would always be soft. "I'm asking you to marry me..."
It was your turn to stare at him, completely dumbfounded.
"I'm sorry," you blinked after a moment of silence. You thought he would suddenly laugh and tell you he was joking.
"D-Did you say you want to marry me?"
Apparently, he wasn't kidding. Jungkook found satisfaction when it comes to teasing you, but not to the point where it was making you uncomfortable.
This was making you uneasy, yet he continued, a silent confirmation that this was real.
He wanted to marry you.
"Kook," you went near him, touching his shoulders. "I know you said we had the best time last night, I did too. I'm glad I kissed you and finally admitted my feelings for you."
You tried to remember every detail of what happened last night. You two kissed, went to his apartment, and reminisced about your moments when you were younger.
Jungkook implied that he would do the worst just for you. You remembered laughing and saying that he actually brought the best in you.
And then you remembered telling him you liked him and wanted to take your relationship into another level. He agreed, more than happy to date you despite your condition of keeping the relationship a secret.
You made yourself perfectly clear with what you wanted, and it seemed like he understood. He kissed you before falling asleep last night. When he woke up, he called you his girlfriend and asked you to go on a date with him.
This day was supposed to be all about you and him. The plan was to cook lunch together, watch some tv series, cuddle, and go out in the evening to go to a karaoke booth.
You had a fun time until now.
Why was he making this complicated by suddenly proposing to you?
"I'm sorry," Jungkook apologized, caressing the back of your hand which was still placed on his shoulder.
"I was...excited and caught up in the moment—" He paused, like something struck him.
"Never mind, Tiger." He pinched your cheeks. "I'm just messing with you."
You tried to speak, but Jungkook already turned away from you, grabbing his mic.
"Ah, I'm going to sing Dancing Queen and you can't stop me!"
The worry lacing your system vanished as soon as you saw his bunny smile.
"I wanna sing too!" So you grabbed your mic too, joining him.
The night was perfect once again.
It was so perfect that your mind and heart refused to accept the things that would ruin your Sunday date with Jungkook.
"After years of building things, two great architects of today finally decided to build a life together: Head Architect Jeon Jungkook asked Corporate Heir Kim Soojin to marry him."
You turned off your phone, baffled. No. This couldn't be true. Why would the media report fake news?
You were just with Jungkook a short while ago. You were at his place the whole weekend. He even dropped you off at the office earlier today before driving to the construction site. He also told you he would pick you up later for dinner. He knew Mondays were stressful so he wanted you to relax a bit.
So what just happened?
What was happening?
Why were things changing?
"Oh my! I knew it!" Fran, your coworker, gasped. She turned to your table.
"Girl! Have you watched the news? Head architect Jeon and team leader Kim are getting married!" She squealed, getting the attention of your other colleagues.
They all started to check their phones to confirm the news, some of them even spread the 'gossip' to the other departments. Moments later, you were sure that everyone in this building already knew about the announcement.
They seemed happy for Jungkook and your sister. You knew you should be thrilled too, especially because this was what Soojin wanted from the very start.
Unfortunately you couldn't even smile. Your stomach was crunching and you felt like you were going to vomit.
You were beyond confused. Did the media make a mistake or was Jungkook playing with your feelings?
It was probably the latter, right? Everyone was confirming the news. Soojin also texted you. It was the final blow.
[3:34pm] Soojin: Cancel your plan this evening! We'll be having family dinner, 7pm at our mansion. See you!
You were in the middle of reading her message when she sent another one.
[3:35pm] Soojin: The dinner's a mini celebration for JK and I! We're engaged! I'm sorry I didn't tell you immediately! We're soooo busy right now.
And then there was another one.
[3:35pm] Soojin: I'm so happy, sis! Can't wait to tell you the deets! Don't be late, ok?
You were not hesitating anymore. You were positive that Jungkook only played with your feelings.
Soojin wouldn't appear this happy if she was lying. Or was she pretending?
You weren't sure what to believe. Maybe it would be best to just let things be for now. You had to concentrate on your work. The truth would come out later this day anyway.
You texted Soojin back.
[4:02pm] You: See you later.
The clock continued to tick while you were losing your mind. You couldn't focus on your work no matter how many times you scolded yourself. In the end, you accomplished nothing. It didn't matter. You only had less than an hour before your shift ended.
You left the office at exactly five pm. You were planning on taking the bus, but you were surprised when you saw Taehyung waiting for you in the lobby.
"Oppa?" You greeted, unsure. One of the security employees told you that your brother was meaning to see you. They just didn't let him on your floor because he didn't set an appointment with you.
"You wanted to see me?" You asked when he just nodded at you. He was expressionless.
"Yes. We're going home together. Family dinner, remember?" He reminded you as if you weren't looking forward to that.
"Okay..." You responded since you didn't know what else to say. It seemed like he also didn't have the time to explain anything to you. Perhaps he simply wanted to drive you home.
"Do you know what Soojin and Jungkook like? I want to buy them an engagement gift," your brother blurted out.
You two were at the parking lot, looking for his car.
You stopped walking.
Huh. So he picked you up because he wanted your help? Why were you even surprised?
"It's okay if you don't know." Taehyung looked back at you upon realizing that you were frozen in the middle of the parking lot.
"I'll just buy them champagne or whatever." He shrugged, finally finding the car. He opened the door of the passenger seat for you.
"Let's go."
You blinked, entering the car.
Taehyung had a nice vehicle. It was clean and it looked brand new. The whole ambiance of his car was comfortable, yet you were fidgeting.
The silence was killing you.
"Soojin likes Dom Pérignon..." So you opened a topic related to his gift to the engaged couple.
Taehyung glanced at you, speaking only when the traffic light turned red.
"What about Jungkook?"
You flinched at the mention of your best friend's name.
"Huh?" And then you swallowed thickly, trying to calm your crazy heart.
"You said Soojin likes Dom Pérignon champagne. That's nice, but what about what Jungkook likes?" He licked his bottom lip, stepping on the gas once again. The traffic light flashed green.
"The gift is for the both of them. Not just for Soojin..."
You didn't know why but you felt as though Taehyung was implying something.
"I-I guess he doesn't mind that brand too..."
"Hm," Taehyung's jaw ticked. "It's best to just ask him, don't you think? Better know the truth first before jumping into conclusion..."
"Some things are taken prima facie..."
Taehyung laughed because of what you said.
"Really?" The corner of his mouth turned up. "I saw you kissing Jungkook at the party last Saturday. You both entered the same car after that. You didn't even go home for two nights. If I took this in a prima facie way, the conclusion is that you're Jungkook's mistress, right?"
Your face turned pale because of his claim. Shit. He saw you?
"I thought you left with Y-Yoongi." You stammered, turning to look at him.
You couldn't see his expression. His attention was focused on the street before him.
"Oh I did. But he wanted to check on you first. He was feeling guilty, you know? Said he didn't want to leave you alone..." He smiled, like he found Yoongi endearing.
"He only stopped worrying when he saw you with Jungkook."
"Oh." You bit your lower lip. You hadn't talked to Yoongi yet. Why didn't he text you? Why didn't he warn you? How were you supposed to defend yourself now?
"Don't worry, my lips are sealed." Luckily you didn't have to explain yourself.
Taehyung understood.
"Not that I condone cheating. I just know Jungkook isn't in a relationship with Soojin so he's not really doing anything wrong. Man..." He shook his head. "I don't even know why they're suddenly getting married, it's so fucked up."
You remained silent.
"And speaking of relationships..." Taehyung cleared his throat when you kept your mouth shut. "Don't tell anyone about my thing with Yoongi."
"Don't worry, my lips are sealed." You mimicked what he said a few breaths ago.
He smirked again.
"Good. If our family asks, I'll tell them we're together the whole weekend, unless of course you have a more believable lie..."
You didn't. You thought it wasn't necessary anymore. None of them asked where you were. You doubted that they knew you weren't home for two nights .
Usually Soojin bothers you. Sin-ae too. The latter would question you all the time, finding fault in your answers because she clearly enjoyed watching you get scolded by your father.
You wondered why they suddenly stopped bothering you. Were they too busy planning the engagement announcement? You saw Sin-ae's short interview. She confirmed to the public that her only daughter was indeed getting married.
"It's fine. But you told them where we went. I don't know what to say to them." You weren't close to Taehyung. It would be odd to know that you two were together the whole weekend.
"Don't worry, sister. I got it covered." Your brother winked at you, stopping the car.
You had arrived at the mansion.
Your heart skipped a beat as you muttered "Let's get this over with," under your breath.

Your P.O.V
I sat on my bed, phone in hand trying to think of what to say to Kyotani. I would type out a few words then immediately delete it, because it sounded really dumb or really desperate. "Why is this so hard?" I groaned. I could say whatever to Iwaizumi and Oikawa and it wouldn't bother me later on, but with Kyotani...I just really don't want to mess this up. I looked back down at my phone screen, took a deep breath and typed.
Me: Hey Kyotani, it's me Y/n, did you make it back home?
I held my phone to my chest, I didn't even want to see the speech bubble pop up. But when it did, and my phone dinged, my stomach did a backflip. I looked at my phone.
Kyotani: Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah? That was all he typed? I sighed slightly, well, he never was a man of many words.
Me: That's good. So, about coming over again. How does tomorrow night sound?
"Wow, way to be clingy." I mutter.
Kyotani: Sounds good.
I blinked a few times. "Whoa really? That worked?"
Me: Cool! I'll see you then.
Kyotani: See ya.
I let out a weak sigh and fell back onto my bed. Before I fell asleep I went back to the texts and changed Kyotani's name to:
🐶Mad Puppy🐶
He might have the personality of a feral wolf, but he could be as cute a little puppy. I smiled softly before drifting off to sleep.

Your P.O.V
Your alarm jerked your awake early the next day. With a groan you sat up and turned it off and checked your phone, you gasped when you saw what day it was. "It's Saturday!!" You cheered before flopping back down on your bed. It might be immature for you to act like a child when it came to the weekend, but Jesus did you hate waking up early to go to some boring classes for eight hours a day. Besides, you had a very important day ahead of you. Tonight was the night you went over to Kyotani's place for dinner. The grin on your face only grew wider. "It's like a date...only his mom is going to be there too..."
Speaking of moms, you needed to tell your mom you wouldn't be home early tonight. "Oh great. She's never going to get off my back over this." You sighed. You got up and changed out of your pajama's and into some comfy clothes before heading downstairs. Your mother was just on her way out it the door once you got to the bottom of the stairs. "Hey mom!" You called, making her stop. "Yes sweetie?" She turns to face you. "Um, is it cool if I go over to a friends for dinner tonight?"
"Hm? You mean Iwaizumi?" She asks. "No, not him."
"Oikawa?"
"No."
"...uh, then who?" She mutters.
"A new friend. Remember that intense guy I told you about? His name is Kyotani." You tell her. "Huh, I see. Well first I'm happy that you're making new friends sweetie." Your mother smiled. "But are you sure this "intense" guy is a friend? I just want to make sure you're not being bullied."
"I'm not being bullied. He is a pretty angry person at times but, he's actually really cool too." Your mother took a minute to think about it. "Alright, you can go. Do apologize to them for me. I won't be there."
"You won't?" Your mother shook her head. "I work late tonight. I won't be home until midnight. Which I expect you to be home before then, understand?" Your mother raised an eyebrow. "Yes, I promise. I'll tell them." Your mother pats your head and opened the front door. "Good, I'll see you later." She waves before leaving the house. "Of course you're working late again." You mutter as you walk into the living room. It never use to bother you as much before, but the more you thought about it and the more you watch her leave, the more it bothered you. She was always working, even during the weekends. You two hardly ever talked at times. You sat on the couch and decided to watch your favorite show to pass the time.
Tumblr media
After a while, your phone dinged.
Shittykawa: Heeeeeey L/n-Chan! Wanna hang out? I'm free all day~😙
. . . . .
Shittykawa: Don't ignore me!😫
You: That was my answer.
Shittykawa: Your answer was pure silence?
You: Yeah. 😒
Shittykawa: Whatever.🙄 What are you up to?
You: Lazying about. Something you would know well huh, Lazykawa?
Shittykawa: So. Rude. What about later tonight?
You: Can't. I have plans.
Shittykawa: Liiiiike?
You: What's it to you?
Shittykawa: Come on! The least you can do is tell me!
You: Uggggh! I have dinner plans with Kyotani ok!?
. . .
You: Shittykawa?
Shittykawa: YOU HAVE A DATE WITH MAD DOG!?
You: It's not a date!!!
Shittykawa: Really? You? Him? Dinner??? Is it not clicking L/n-Chan?
You: His mom is going to be there, dumbass.
Shittykawa: I just can't believe it... You. And Mad Dog??? Of all people???
Me: What's so wrong with that?
Shittykawa: First, I can't believe you chose him over me 😭 Second, he's not exactly the ladies man. He's more the, scare and intimidate everyone he comes in contact with, man.
Me: Oh shut up Shittykawa. Kyotani's cool. Now if you'll excuse me, he's texting me right now. So I'm gonna get to that if you don't mind 😡 Besides, we all know you gay af.
You didn't bother to read what Oikawa texted next.
Mad Puppy: Hey. You still on for tonight?
You: Yeah totally! I'm really looking forwards to it.
Mad Puppy: Cool. My mom's been pestering me about it all fucking morning. It's like she's trying to play matchmaker. It's ducking creepy.
Your heart twinged a bit at that.
You: Oh yeah? Sorry to hear that.
Mad Puppy: It's whatever. Just telling you ahead of time, she's gonna keep this up the whole night. I just know she is. Anyway, I'll call you later ok? I gotta take Killer on a walk.
You: Ok. Talk to you later.
You bury your face in your hands. You had a feeling that tonight was going to take a lot out of you.
Tumblr media
Later that night you stayed close by your phone, just waiting for that call from Kyotani. You had already gotten ready ahead of time, just so you would have to be in a rush later. You wore a short (color) dress with leggings.
(I know that must suck, but give me a break idk what outfit description would satisfy you all lol)
You didn't want to be super dressy but you didn't want to look like a bum in front of Kyotani and his mom. Speaking of, your phone lit up as the ringer went off. You scramble to pick up your phone before answering. "H-hello?"
"Hey, just checking in. You all ready to go?"
"Yep, I'm ready. I'll be over soon."
"Oh uh, actually...I'm on my way to your place....I didn't want you to walk alone at night."
You held back an "aw", you knew it would make him mad. "That's really nice of you Kyotani. Thank you."
"Yeah, I just figured you'd feel more comfortable if you were with someone. Anyway, I'll be there in a few."
"Ok. I'll see you then." You hung up and held your phone to your chest, the brightest smile on your face. Who knew Kyotani could be so nice? You never thought that you would have fallen for someone who looks pissed 24/7, but here you are.
Tumblr media
Shortly after, Kyotani was knocking at your door. You took a deep breath and opened the door. "Hi." You say softly. "Hey." He responds. "You ready to go?" You nod and walk out the door before shutting it. "Oh yeah, forgot to mention, my sister will be there too." He tells you. "Really? What's she like?"
"She's a l bitch." Kyotani says bluntly. "Oh come on." You laugh. "Is she really that horrible?" Kyotani nods. "Yep." You just rolled your eyes. You didn't have a brother or sister, but you understood that siblings would pick fights and "resent" each other from time to time. "Is your dad gonna be there too?" Kyotani remained silent, his eyes narrowed. "No." Oh....You decided not to press for more questions, not yet at least. You didn't want to ruin the night by bringing up touchy subjects.
Before you knew it, you were at his home. Kyotani knocked on the door, which was immediately answered by his mom and Killer, who was barking and jumping on you. "Oh, look at you Y/n! You look stunning! Doesn't she Kentaro?" His mom gushed. Kyotani nods. "Come on in! Dinner is just about ready!" You thanked her before stepping inside. At the table was a girl with black hair and the same yellow eyes as Kyotani sat. She wasn't really paying attention to anything or anyone, aside from her phone, which she tapped away on. "Natsuki, we have a guest. Put that thing down for once!" Her mom says as she walks to the stove. Natsuki sighs heavily and puts her phone down. "Hey." She mutters. "You my dumb little brother's girlfriend or something?" You and Kyotani's faces turn red.
"Shut your trap, Natsuki!" Kyotani growls. "She's way too pretty for you, mutt." She smirks. "I said shut it!"
"Both of you shut up!" Their mother yells. "Sorry about my two idiots Y/n." She smiles. You just wave it off. "Uh, don't worry about it." Kyotani and Natsuki's mother set down a very delicious meal on the table. Everyone sat down and gave thanks for the meal before digging in. "Wow. This is really good!" You say as you take another bite. Kaori smiles warmly. "I'm glad you like it. You should take some home for your family. I may have gotten carried away and made a little too much. I was just so surprised that my son brought over such a sweet and beautiful young lady!" Kyōtani grumbles a curse under his curse. Your face warmed up. "I'm kinda surprised myself." You admit.
"Same here. Ken has always been weird. Never thought girls would be interested in him." Natsuki says bluntly. "Tsk. And I never thought guys would be into you, guess I was right, huh?" Kyotani counters. The two siblings were caught in a glare off with each other. "I say cut it out, both of you!" Kaori hissed.
Tumblr media
The rest of the night was filled with conversations about school, and marriage, much to Kyotani's dismay, and just causal convo. There were more compliments about how nice and cute you were from his mom, and some questions from his sister for you like "so how much did my brother pay you to hang out with him?". They had to be one of the most chaotic family you've met, but you did enjoy their company. It was getting late, time for you to head home. Once again, Kyotani walked you home. "Thanks again." You smile softly. "Yeah, sorry about my mom and sister. Must have been exhausting." You shook your head. "They were great. I had a really good time tonight. Make sure you get back home safe ok?" Kyotani nods. "See ya." He turned ad walked away.  You wave before walking inside your home. Your mother still wasn't home, you decided to head up stairs and catch up on your favorite anime.
While watching, your phone dinged. You looked down to see a text from Kyotani.
🐶Mad Puppy🐶 I had a good time too. Night
You smiled and texted back.
You Good night 😊

Nothing Else Matters
Another big decision.
Why is this day filled with the need to make big decisions?
“Why do you need to know that?” You mumble, a shiver rolling down your spine when you feel his lips brushing on your ear.
“Because I don't want you to break my little heart, princess.”
Damn it. “Billy, stop calling me that,” you beg, fixing your hair around your neck so it'll be a barrier between you and Billy. The damn nickname makes your stomach burn, and it has an effect on your head...
“Aren't you going to answer me?” You sigh when he messes with your hair, pulling it to the side and exposing your neck to him again.
“Pay attention to the movie.” Muttering, you feel as his lips brush on the soft skin of your neck.
“Just because you're the one asking.” He says, and you feel your body involuntary sinking into his embrace.
Billy is silent for the rest of the movie, thankfully, but his arm feels like iron, keeping you close.
The night falls and you make a pause on what will be a movie night when the pizza gets here. You made everyone chip in since you weren't planning on buying pizza for another six people. It's almost ten when everyone leaves, and you ask Billy to take you home. It was a good day, and you're happy you got to see Billy's house. And about all the rest.
As he drives, you smell the scent of his cologne on you, and you smile to yourself. “So... Did you enjoy it?”
“What?”
“Spending the day with me?” He stops by your place, and you step out of the car biting your lip. You wait for Billy to walk around the car before you start making the way over to the front door.
“I did.” You don't want to cover that up. You want Billy to know you like being around him. “I had fun. With you and the kids.” As you speak, you hear a low laugh coming from inside. “What's that?”
Gesturing for him to stay quiet, you unlock the front door, noticing how the lights are off, and the colorful ones coming from the TV. Slowly, you peak at the living room, smiling to see Diane is with someone, hugging, watching something on the TV. You don't want to ruin it, so you go back to the front door.
“My aunt is with someone. I need you to wait for me here, ok?”
He looks a little confused. “Yes, but why?”
“Just wait. Quietly.” You storm back inside when he nods, tiptoeing upstairs.
You know they can hear the footsteps down there, so you have to move fast. You grab your toothbrush and some clothes, throwing them on the first bag you find before running back down. “(Y/N)?” You hear her calling me when you reach the bottom of the stairs.
“I'm just going out again,” you say, running to the front door.
“Hey, hey!” She comes running, meeting you when you open the door. “You can... You can stay. Robert is just... Where are you going? It's late.”
It's so cute to see her like that, blushing. “Aunt, I'll...” Think fast. “I'll sleep at Billy's.” You gesture at him, standing behind you. He waves at Diane.
“Are you sure?”
“Yup. Now get back there!” You whisper-yell, stepping backwards, and closing the door. “Uhm...” You finally turn to face Billy, who's still pretty confused. “Sorry, I... Just take me to Monica's, I'll sleep there.”
“You told your aunt you'd sleep at my place. So that's where you'll be.” He raises an eyebrow, gesturing for you to head back to his car.
“Billy, I–”
“You'll sleep in Max's room. So chill.” He gives you that smirk again, and you roll your eyes.
You're soon back at his place, and he tells you to make yourself at home, so you take a shower in his bathroom. You brought leggings to sleep in, but you forgot to take a shirt. Sighing, you put the one you were wearing before, leaving the bathroom, finding Billy seated on his bed.
This is way too intimate. You're in his bedroom, showering on his bathroom, drying yourself with his towels... You weren't ready for this... But it's about to get more weird.
“Billy.” He looks up at you. “Do you... Do you have any shirts I can wear? I forgot to grab one... Or maybe see if Max has anything?” C'mon, you know you shouldn't do this, but the very thought of wearing one of Billy's shirts is just too strong.
There's a smile on his lips as he searches on his wardrobe. He hands you a dark red shirt, and you go back into the bathroom just to change. When you come out again, you feel Billy's intense stare. This is craziness. You shouldn't be here.
“You look beautiful.” He says, coming to stand before you. “Max has one of those mattresses she uses for camping. It's lied on the floor for you and you should take a blanket. The nights can get a little cold even in summer.”
“Yeah, I noticed...” You move away, to the door. You don't want to sleep, not yet. “Are you going to sleep now? Or we could watch some TV...” Biting your lip, you watch as he starts moving towards you, so you go to the living room, sitting on the couch.
Billy turns the TV on, in some random talk show, and turns the lights off. “Do you mind?” You shake your head no and he comes to sit by your side. “Why did you storm out of your house like that?”
“It's kind of a long story.”
“Tell me everything about it.”
“Uhm... Diane is more of a mother to me than my real mother, Laura. I have a very complicated relationship with my parents since forever so...” You use the light coming from the TV to analyze his face, to see if you're boring him already. But Billy seems to be curious, intense eyes focused on you. “Her husband died years ago and she has never been in a relationship after that. Diane... When she loves, she loves deeply and I remember how happy she was. I want her to be that happy again. She has always been there for me since I can remember. She's my anchor when things fall apart. She's the reason why I'm here, you know. When I started looking for a place to move to, she told me about Hawkins. Being born and raised here, she only moved to Indianapolis because her husband lived there. My plan is to live with her there during the week, when the classes are back, and come here for the weekend.”
“You really plan to live here?”
“Yes... You?” You move your body towards him, pulling one of your legs up, folding in under you. Billy looks so handsome, even in the dim light. You're distracted for a bit when Max comes from her room and goes to the kitchen.
“I'm... Reconsidering.” He smiles.
“Why?” Because of you? No, it can't be. Billy would never take this big of a decision because of you.
“What's the matter between you and your parents?”
Of course he won't answer. “They're both lawyers, as is my brother, so they wanted me to follow up. But since I can remember I knew I didn't want to do that... So it was always a nightmare.” Putting some of the hair behind your ear, you take a deep breath. “I had to study like crazy to keep my grades next to perfect because whenever I got a B it was like the end of the world. And the talk about my career was constant since I got into elementary school. There was yelling, cursing...” Talking about it makes you feel like a kid again, when you were too young to be forced to talk about University. “Maybe I should've played along to avoid the arguing, but I always wanted to stand my ground. And to them, to both of them, there was no other option, I had to become a lawyer and as I grew old, the humiliation started. You're not part of the family. You're nothing like your brother, he cares about us. We should've given you away, to a mediocre family so you could fit in. Why can't you be like your brother? You're a failure.”
“It got so much worse when I got into New York University...” You continue, looking down at your hands. “They told me I'd never do it. That Biomedicine is way too complicated and, let's face it, if I was smart enough, I'd pick Law. So in the end, I wasn't coursing Law because I'm dumb. And my brother is such an asshole. He feels so proud that our parents love and basically worship him as the perfect child... I just...”
“Hey...” Billy lifts your face, his index finger on your chin. “You're not dumb. You're very brave for standing up for yourself like that.”
“So that's why I'm here.” Breathing out, you move closer to him because you suddenly feel so comfortable here... Like you can trust him, completely. “I wanted somewhere new, to have a fresh start and this place is just perfect. It's so beautiful... I can actually picture having kids here and raising them running around the town like the kids I see.”
His fingers start moving, rubbing your cheek with his thumb. “I'm sorry you had to go through that in your life. I... My father was an asshole too. He... Hit me. Made my life a nightmare.” Billy's face changes, as the memories hit him like a train. “I'm only here because of Max's mother. Susan divorced Neil and bought this house so Max would have a place to live since she didn't want to leave Hawkins. And when she doesn't want to do something, nothing in the world changes her mind.” You feel relieved when a small smile comes to his lips. “That's why I'm still here. To look after Max and because the University of Indianapolis was the only one that accepted me.”
“Well, nothing matters now, right? We're both here now... Not paying attention to whatever is going on there.” You gesture at the TV.
“Nothing outside these walls matters.” He pulls you close and you move, your foreheads touching.
“Billy, please...” You beg, because you don't think you can hold back if he kisses you. You know you'll surrender. “Not yet... If... If you like me, please... Don't kiss me...”
You're scared. Scared he'll be mad at you, that he'll get tired and push you away.
But when you open your eyes, you see a smile on his lips. “I won't kiss you until you want me to.”
“Thanks,” you whisper, wrapping your arms around his neck, pulling him close. Your heart starts beating even faster, if it's even possible, when you feel his strong arms embracing you. You never hugged Billy, and honestly, you have no idea how you could not have done it before. It feels right. So damn right.
You want him. You were careful with your heart, but he did it. He's making you fall for him.
When you pull away, he's smiling. Not the sassy smirk, but a true, bright smile. As if he just found a treasure, something valuable. “Let's stay here for a while...” He says. “Your aunt is cuddling with that Robert guy, we should do the same.”
Biting your lip, you sigh. You don't want to go to sleep now. You rather be with Billy for a while longer. “Alright.”
“Come here.” You lay your head on his chest, as you move to watch TV. You're not really paying attention, listening to his heartbeat.
• • •
A loud noise wakes you up. With a low groan, you pull the light sheet over your head to protect your eyes from the sun coming through the window. A soft, fresh scent makes you smile. You know this scent, it's familiar, comforting. “Watch out, Max!” Billy's low voice reaches you and you open your eyes, removing the sheet and realizing you're not home. That this is Billy's scent and this is Billy's bed. So you get up abruptly, looking around for a while, a hand on your forehead, before going to the kitchen, where you find him and his sister.
“Hey, I...” You gesture at where you came from. “Was that your bed?”
“Yes, princess. But don't worry, I slept on the couch.” He comes to stand before you, too close, handing you a mug with coffee.
“I will leave you guys alone,” Max mutters, leaving the kitchen.
“Thanks,” you tell Billy, taking a sip. “Sorry to take your bed.”
“Apology not accepted.” He gestures at the table. “Let's have breakfast. I made you toasts.”
“I like the toasts.” You sit beside him, trying not to be too happy about the fact that you're still here, having breakfast with Billy.
You chat a little, laugh a little, and accidentally spill your coffee on the table, which gets you a funny comment about him making you nervous. Of course he makes you nervous, how could he not? Hella good looking guy, calling you ‘princess’ and treating you with such attention, unlike anyone else before... Of course you're nervous.
You take your time showering, and you put his shirt on your bag, hoping he won't notice. Then you wait for him as he showers, watching TV, seated on the bench press.
“(Y/N). You know what time is it?”
“No. But we should get going.” Shrugging your shoulders, you stand up.
“We're late.”
“How late?”
“Late as in the pool is opening right now.” He says as if it's nothing.
“We gotta get going then.” It's unbelievable how he doesn't seem bothered by it, so you take his hand, pulling him out. “We still have to stop by my place to get the swimsuit, Billy. Let's go!”
He seems amused by your desperation, so you roll your eyes. You can barely talk to your aunt, since you're in a rush, just grabbing the uniform and heading back to the car.
It's so hot already. “Billy, can you stop by that store? I need something to drink.”
“Weren't you desperate to get to your job?” He smirks, giving you a glance.
“We're already late anyway. It'll only take a second.” When he stops the car you jump out, being in and out of the store in record time.
“Damn, you're fast.”
“Drive, Billy.” Rolling your eyes, you open the can, taking a sip.
Two minutes later he's parking on the reserved place for the lifeguards. You see as the heads turn at the sight of his car. Girls smiling, gossiping, telling her friends to check out who just got here. Taking a deep breath, you step out of the car, trying really hard not to notice how people stare. You haven't had time to consider what would mean showing up here with Billy. You should be used to having eyes on you since you're still the new girl, but this is for a whole different reason now. You're around Billy for quite a while now, and people are starting to count, to notice he still didn't ditch you.
Taking another sip of the soda, you wait for Billy to join you before start walking towards the entrance.
“Give me a sip.” He asks, taking your mind away from all the glances you're getting.
“Let's get inside. I'll get you a glass.”
“Why?”
“Uhm... Because I'm drinking straight from the can... With my mouth. I just thought...” Shrugging your shoulders, you watch as he takes the can from your hand, stopping by the entrance. You guess you're not worried that you're late anymore. You're already here anyway.
“Wait. Let's rewind a little.” Billy looks down at you, apparently ignoring how people linger around, walking slower when they're close, trying to overhear something. He doesn't seem to care. “You went to my place–”
“Keep your voice down, Billy. Please.” You warn him, and he seems to take this as a chance to step closer. So you back up, but your back hits the way. Why does he do that? Why does he pretends you're alone when you're surrounded by people?
“You went to my place, showered on my bathroom, used my soap, slept on my bed...” He squints his eyes a little, taking a deep breath. “And you're using my cologne.”
Damn it. You were supposed to keep a distance today because you put some of his cologne when he was showering. “Busted,” you mumble, feeling your cheeks burning.
“And... Considering the fact that I want to kiss you, why would I have any problems with drinking from your can?” When he's done speaking, he takes long sips from the soda.
“Why do I feel like you enjoy taking every chance you have to tease me?” You whisper, crossing your arms in an attempt to create some distance between your bodies.
“Because I can't stay away from you.” He hands you the can back. “And I know you don't want to stay away from me either, so yes, I'll take every chance I'll get to show you I want something different this time. I would never allow any girls to my place, much less introduce them to Max. That's like a point of no return because if I push you away, I'll never hear the end of it.”
Your eyes are fixed on his, and as much as you try, you can't look away. “Let's get in, please. People are staring.”
“Let them stare, I couldn't care less.” Billy bends down a little, closing the final distance between you and placing a kiss on your cheek. “I meant what I said last night. I won't kiss you until you ask me to.” That said, he steps back, gesturing for you to move.
Taking a deep breath, you enter the pool, drinking what's left of the soda. You make your way straight to the locker room, changing and applying the sunblock before shoving everything in your locker.
“Hey.” You're about to go out when someone calls. Turning on your heels, you see that girl Jennifer with her friend. “(Y/N), right?”
“Yes. Do you need anything?”
“No. We're just curious.” They come closer, arms crossed. “We couldn't help but notice Billy is still hanging out with you and we need to know what you're doing so right.” The girl says, and Jennifer nods.
“What do you mean?”
“C'mon, we're not stiffs. What's your trick?” Jennifer flashes you a dirty smile, and you can't wait to get the hell out of here. “What do you do that he likes so much?”
“Nothing. I don't do anything.” You simply say, shrugging your shoulders.
“Nothing? Like... How the hell–”
“Yup. Nothing.” Waving at them, you decide not to let them say anything else, leaving the locker. Billy comes out of the boy's locker at the same time you do, a curious expression on his face. “Did you... Did you hear that?”
“Couldn't help it.” He admits. “Are you ok?”
As you nod, the girls come out, walking away. “Don't worry about me. I can deal with some mean girls if I have to. And they're just jealous that it's my turn with you.” That's how they speak of it. Every girl has her turn with Billy, and when it's over, they have no choice but to back off and watch as he picks someone else.
“Yeah. But it's the last swift.” He steps closer, a hand caressing your cheek. “You're the last one.”
“Don't say stuff like that, Billy.”
“Alright, alright.” Monica's voice startles you, and you bite your lip because you're just a little mad she broke the moment. “You two are late and I've been the only one watching three pools. Get to your posts.”
Billy rolls his eyes, winking at you as he walks away.
“Mind to tell me what happened? I saw him kissing you.” Monica speaks low as you make your way to the chairs.
“On the cheek, Mon.”
“I don't care, I know something is going on.”
Yeah, there's a lot going on. “We need to talk, Mon. I'm losing my damn mind.” You say with a smile.
“You're falling for him, aren't you?”
“I really think so.”

Summary: Ava and Adam go on that date, it goes about you'd expect with the Dark Order involved, Things with Kenny come to a head.
Tumblr media
"Violet!"
"Ava? Mon Cher Smackdown is about to start why are you screaming?"
Violet gave Finn a look before putting her friend on speaker "Mon Roi is here too, what has you so excited?"
"ADAM ASKED ME OUT ON A DATE!" The younger woman yelled
Ava could hear Violet cursing in French from a small distance. “Really? That’s amazing! Give me details now!”
“I lost my phone and he found it near your adopted brother and then Kenny was annoying me again so he covered for me by saying we were going on a date so we’re actually going on one!”
“I’m so happy for you!”
“Could you do me a solid?” Ava asked
Of course darling," Violet agreed
"Could you guys not tell the big boss?" Ava begged "You know I love Seth to death, he's my dad shaped person but he wasn't happy about this whole AEW deal and he'll be even less happy to know I'm going out with one of their biggest stars"
Violet and Finn silently looked at each other before agreeing to the younger woman's request
"We have you covered darlin" Finn said
"What are you going to do about Omega?I'm starting to worry. He's really not taking no for an answer"
“I honestly don’t know” Violet handed Finn her phone, taking out the one meant to contact family. “I think she’s going to threaten Malachi into watching over you” Finn laughed.
Ava sighed in relief. While Malachi Black, formerly Aleister to Violet, was dark and broody, he did scare Kenny with a simple stare.
“So how’s Mox doing?” Violet asked
"Good, he got Omega off my back last night at Dynamite, threatened him with Ruby." Ava said "He said something about promising Seth to look out for me?"
"Seth called him and Miro when you decided to go to AEW." Finn explained
"Called in a couple of favors. You are the baby."
Ava rolled her eyes even though the couple couldn't see her "You've got to be kidding. I can take care of myself"
“We know you can take care of yourself, Seth has a overprotective complex”
Ava sighed but didn’t disagree. “We got to go now, see you tomorrow!” Violet hung up.
Ava turned off her phone, seeing a text from Kenny. Rolling her eyes she deleted it. “Is he ever gonna get the point?” she asked herself before flopping on her hotel bed with a sigh. He thoughts turning to the next day and the date she'd been dreaming of for years.
-Next Day-
She met Adam outside a café, the cowboy looking handsome in normal street clothes and without a certain purple and black group shadowing him.
“Wow, you look great” He said. As she grinned and twirled once, showing off the chic black suit she'd chosen for their date.
“Hope you don’t mind but I invited Violet and Finn just in case your friends crash this”
Adam laughed. “They probably will ”
Inside the cafe, Finn and Violet were waiting at a four person table, surprisingly without their daughter in tow.
"Where's my honey bunches?" Ava said with a pout, that Adam found adorable
"Becky and Seth have her" Finn explained "Shes having a playdate"
“Next time you bring her” Ava pointed. Finn raised his hands and laughed. Violet slid over a black coffee to Adam.
He accepted it with a smile. “So you’re both going after the top titles in Smackdown” he grinned.
“Yup!” Finn grinned. “It was fun in NXT but I wasn’t spending another week without my husband there” Ava sighed.
“It’s harder to get a title shot in AEW, I have no idea how to get to Britt”
“I lost the chance to be the inaugural champ because someone thought an ass deserved it” Adam muttered.
“Adam I think your shadows are here” Violet pointed to a booth in the corner
Sure enough, the purple and black clad Dark Order filled 2 corner booths, trying and failing to be inconspicuous.
"Oh god" Adam murmured "I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have told them where we were going"
"They really care about you" Ava smiled at Adam causing that feeling to flutter in his chest again.
"You may not, have been the first AEW champion but you've got a shot at Kenny at All Out" Finn says
"Sure do" Adam says "I can't wait, I've owed Kenny an ass whipping for a while now"
“Fucking creep” Ava rolled her eyes. “How’s Paige?”
“You don’t know that from Mox?” Violet raised an eyebrow. Ava shook her head
“She’s ok, doing wonders with her makeup. Her and Sonya are planning a wedding”
Ava nodded. “Sorry about the Kingdom disbanding”
Finn rolled his eyes. “Of course Vince brings up Shotzi and us but doesn’t want Kyle, Millie, Priscilla or Jordan”
Adam and Ava share a smile knowing while AEW wasn't a paradise by any means…it wasn't run by Vince.
A loud bang sounded from the back of the restaurant and every turned to see one of the corner tables flipped on its side as John Silver looked around sheepishly.
Adam dropped his head in his hands as Ava giggled "I'm sorry, I'm gonna go uh…handle this" he said rising from his seat and heading toward the back.
"They are quite the band of misfits aren't they?" Violet said as she tried not to laugh as they watched Adam easily lift the table back in place and start seemingly scolding them for crashing their double date.
"They love him, and with the entire….mess with the Elite…their very overprotective." Ava explained
“Reminds me of Seth” Violet said. Ava’s eyes widened.
“It totally is!” Finn laughed as Adam came back and sat down.
“They swear it’s just a coincidence they all wanted to come here on the same day and time as my date”
Violet flipped her hair and put on her flirty voice. “So this a date?
Adam blushed hard. “Um…well, it’s definitely not a…friend thing…we’re not friends. I mean we are friends!, but I want to be more then friends!"
Ava blushed as she watched Adam flounder under Violet's question
"Leave him alone, mo chroi" Finn finally rescued the younger man from his wife.
“I was just being a good friend” Violet smirked.
Adam took a breath. “I don’t know why but I have a thing for goth people”
Ava looked at Violet.
“Really? Is that why you went to the Dark Order?”
“Honestly? Kenny ruined tag teams for me. The Bullet Club went to shit after you were kicked out”
Finn’s eye twitched, remembering how the Young Bucks fucked him over.
“The Bullet Club is nothing to me now. They ruined it!”
“The Elite’s worse, nothing but kissing Kenny’s ass, apparently he was looking to go to Impact and take their top title”
“Thank god the old man bought them, Impact might have been the worse part of my career but AEW would have ruined them” Violet sipped her ice coffee.
Adam sighed.
“I don’t know what happened. One minute he was my brother, now he’s a stranger” Adam said quietly as Ava rubbed his back
"Its okay, your going to take the AEW title from him at All Out." Ava consoled him.
The 2 couples finished their meal and left the restuarant, Finn and Violet heading to the arena to get ready for Smackdown, and Ava and Adam walking though the city streets enjoying each other's company.
"This has been great" Ava says as they finally end up back at the hotel
"We'll have to do it again sometime" Adam replied causing Ava to blush again.
"Maybe next time….just the two of us?" He asked softly
“No demon and vampires. No Dark Order” Ava agreed. Adam hugged her.
“Adam!” Evil Uno yelled. The pair looked at the stable. Anna walked over. “Well, the date was a success so Alex made you this” She handed a black jacket to Ava. It had a purple rose stitched in the back.
“Wow, Alex’s a suckup” Adam joked. “I’m totally wearing this next week” Anna smiled.
“C’mon Adam, before the idiots start screaming”
He rolled his eyes but hugged Ava goodbye, kissing her hair before walking away.
The Next Week
After spending the weekend and into the next week bouncing between elation over her successful date with Adam (including spending a hefty amount of time texting back and forth with the cowboy) and annoyance that Kenny just would not stop texting and calling, it was finally Wednesday and time for that weeks episode of Dynamite, at which Ava had a match against Nyla Rose.

Over the past few days she had gone hunting for more appropriate gear to compliment her new jacket and was now wearing black leather shorts with purple accents and a purple and black corset top.
"Don't you look like a full fledged member of the misfit society, I really thought you'd have better taste Sweetheart" Kenny said walking up to her, the Young Bucks flanking him
“I’ve liked purple and black before the Dark Order existed” Ava snapped.
Kenny grabbed her arm. “Let go!”
“I just want what’s best for you” Kenny said fiercely
“HEY!” Darby Allin hit Kenny with a skateboard.
“She’s said no to you for weeks now, get lost!” He roared, Ava seeing why Mox had pretty much adopted him.
Kenny looked panicked and all but ran. The Bucks, glaring at her as the followed
“Thanks” Ava said to Darby. “I hate that fucker”
"Join the club" Darby replied
Later that night after beating Nyla Rose, Ava was celebrating in the ring when Kenny's music hit and The Elite surrounded the ring.
"I really tried to do this in private Ava, baby but you just won't listen to me, you'd rather hang out with those losers instead of being part of The Elite"
“I. Am. Not. Your. Baby!” Ava screamed,.
Kenny stepped in, smirking. “Just accept the date”
The crowd began chanting variations of yes and no.
Then the music of the Dark Order hit, Adam leading the stable to a beat down. Colt tackled Kenny, Adam waving sarcastically at him before going over to Ava, "You okay Darlin?"
"Yeah, fucking asshole. Why won't he leave me alone"
"Ava, Ava!" Kenny panted, "I have a deal for you, since you and the drunk, seem so close lately, Next week….you and Adam against me and Britt Baker. You win, you get a title shot at All Out. You two lose, Cowboy loses his shot, and you go out with me"
Ava looked at Adam, who was clenching his jaw. Anna and Evil Uno nodded their heads.
Ava grabbed a mic. “We accept! And let’s raise the stakes!!! If we win and move on to kick you asses at All Out, you leave me the fuck alone!”
Kenny gulped "Done!"
“I’ll add to that!” Adam yelled. “When I kick your ass, you don’t get to have a rematch as long as I’m champion. Let someone else get an opportunity”
"Deal!" Kenny said cockily "It doesn't matter anyway "You two are gonna lose and when you do...not only will Adam never get a shot at the AEW Championship,  Ava...baby...your all mine"

(This is preseason one to show you what the background is on the whole story)
(let me know if you think this should be published as a separate book!)
You and Steve had a rocky start to being siblings.
You were born four years apart.
He was born in a time when your parents actually loved each other. They had time for birthdays and family weekends together. They went out to the park on saturdays. They were a picture perfect family.
It just so happened that when you were born, your father stopped being quite so faithful to your mother. When you came into the world, your father was in Europe on a business trip. And he wasn't only up to business.
Little Steve had adored you at first. He always wanted to hold you or play with you.
But then their parents no longer had time for him.
It was always work... and taking care of you.
It slowly changed over the years to only work, as your mother could no longer trust your father. Steve was left to watch you for weeks on end. He was good at it at first. He used to watch you carefully. He used to make sure you were happy and well...
Until he could no longer see his friends.
He was ten. You were five.
He began to leave you at home. At first it was only for thirty minutes while he went to the park. Then it was an hour every day during his elementary school days while he went to the movies.
You were seven when you began cooking your own meals.
You TRIED talking to him. You really did.
You tried catching his sleeve whenever he breezed past. You tried showing him crafts you made. You tried playing music you thought he might like.
That ended with twelve year old Steve pushing you away.
It ended with your works of art thrown in the trash.
Your music cassettes were thrown onto the road.
Your mother made sure both of you knew to never walk into the middle of the road, so you could only cry as some unknowing stranger destroyed your wonderful music. The music you had saved up all your allowance for. The music that you had thought your older brother would like. The music that you thought might bring you two together.
When your mother and father returned, you tattled.
Steve was grounded for a whole week.
But he always needed to have the last say. So he sold your boom box and spent all the money on comics. He threw your sketchbook in the quarry water. He shoved you to the floor, saying that if you ever tattled again then you would join your drawing book in the cold water.
You stopped trying to give Steve your attention and love. You no longer wished he would spend more time at home. So you began exploring the town by yourself at the age of nine. You didn't really have friends to hang out with so you would browse through stores.
The arcade was your favorite place.
You loved showing up early on Saturday mornings, before Steve was even awake, and leaving behind a new high score on the dragons lair.
Why?
Because it always riled up a group of boys your age. They had no idea who kept beating them over and over. Every Sunday morning you watched them walk in... only to scream a few seconds later about how someone had beaten their score by ONE point. Again.
You loved having some sort of connection to them. Even if they didn't know it was you. Or even who you were at all. They were a weird little group, strictly sticking with only other A.V club kids. Besides, you hardly ever talked. What would be so special about you?
It also didn't help that your older brother had begun to build himself a reputation. When you were ten, he began to be known as king Steve. You knew he bullied one of the kids (wills) older brother while beginning to flirt with another's (mike's) older sister.
You knew this because your father began forcing Steve to drive you home from school. That was the rule he set when he gave Steve the car.
Every day you trekked to the high school, only to watch Steve hang around Nancy Wheeler and push Johnathan Byers. You would have intervened and told him that you really didn't want to wait twenty minutes (out of sight) for him to be done. But the last time he did that he made you ride the way home in the trunk of his car.
When you were eleven, you started hanging out at Melvald's convenience store in the town square. Your favorite time to go there was at 7:00, because Mrs. Byers would always work the morning shift.
Wills mother was really quite wonderful. Every time you walked in she greeted you with a smile and lowered her magazine.
——-
"Whatcha lookin for today, kiddo?" She smiled softly, leaning on the counter to watch you browse.
"Any new cassette tapes." You shrugged, fingering each music case that caught your eye. "Do you have any Clash? I... lost mine." You didn't lose it. Steve broke it when he heard you mutter about how much you hated Tommy H.
"Yeah, we got a new box of cassettes delivered this morning." She hopped up and waved for you to follow her to the back room. "I miiiight have snagged a Clash cassette for you when I saw it." She grinned as she held the door open for the young girl.
"You didn't need to buy anything for me!" You gasped. You knew that the Byers needed all the money they could get. "Can I pay you back?" You immediately began digging through your pockets for spare change.
She placed a guiding hand on your back as you both entered, pulling you away from your search. "Oh no it's fine! It's the least I can do for my most frequent visitor."
She plucked the music case off the shelf and handed it to you. "You go to Hawkins elementary, right? You should talk to my son. Will. He also loves the Clash."
You turned red and clutched the cassette. "I've...seen him around before. I don't know how to talk to him."
"Oh it's easy!" She grabbed the spare paper and crayons you always used when you visited. "You just need to find common ground. For example," she pulled up a stool beside her for you to sit at, "you both like to draw!"
You placed down the paper and got working on your art. "Will it make a difference if I draw cartoons and he draws realistic? What if the difference is too big for him to want to talk to me?"
"It'll give you more to talk about!"
——
So began your quest to pursue friendship.
You attempted to speak to Will and his friends in the hall.
They were talking too loud about their latest campaign to hear you.
You tried asking to sit by them at lunch.
They were too busy launching potato's at the ceiling to notice.
Right when you almost gave up... Will and you were paired together as partners for a history project.
——-
'Don't mess it up, don't mess it up', you told yourself over and over as you moved to sit by Will. 'Don't be weird. See if he'll talk first. Don't be clingy.'
Wills was equally quiet. He just read through the rubric of the project and stayed silent.
'What can we talk about... what should I say?'
A drawing poking out of wills bag caught your eye. It looked like a wizard casting some sort of spell.
"I like your drawing!" You blurted out, wishing you could just shut up.
Wills jumped, startled. "Yeah... umm.. it's from... uh... it's from our last campaign.." he began fiddling with his thumbs, unsure of what to say to a girl. "Our DnD campaign... I mean."
You nodded along. "I like to draw to! I've never... I've never played DnD before... so I like to draw people."
Will cracked a shy smile. "I'll show you my drawing if you show me one of yours."
You agreed hesitantly.
He took your cartoon and you took his master piece. You desperately wished you could draw like him. Your cartoons looked so simple, as Steve always said.
"You're a cartoonist!" Will smiled, holding the paper out in front of him. It was a caricature of Mrs. Byers. "You must be the girl my mom sees at her job!" His eyes were wide with recognition. "This is so good! I wish I could draw cartoons. But whenever I try... they look like potato's." He laughed.
You flushed a deep red. "I... I'm also the one that beats your scores every Saturday." You admit.
His jaw dropped. "No way. We've been trying to figure out who that was for months! We formed a whole list of people to interrogate!" He ran a hand through his hair.
You giggled. "I can prove it... if you want. Next Saturday I could show you and your friends? At the arcade?"
"Yeah! I'm totally down to hang out at the arcade!"
——
Will had brought you to the A.V club after to ask the rest of the party. You had protested at first. What if they didn't like you? What if they said no? You would look so stupid! You tried to use your brother driving you home as an excuse.
But if you brought Steve up... no. You couldn't start a potential friendship like that.
Will proposed the ideas to everyone excitedly.
It seemed that Lucas had a problem with it immediately.
——-
"Sorry Will, but we can't." Lucas shook his head. "We've got plans."
Your heart dropped.
"Wait," Dustin frowned and turned to his friend. "What plans? I wasn't aware of any plans."
Lucas crossed his arms. "Remember? Our campaign?"
"We don't have a-."
Lucas elbowed him harshly and looked at you. "Can you leave for a second? We need to talk. ALONE."
You nodded and stepped out of the room. "Yeah totally! Just let me know when-."
The door slammed in your face.
You know you shouldn't have but you pressed your ear to the door anyway.
"What's your damage?" Mike Wheeler hissed quietly.
"Don't you know who she is?" Lucas accused.
"No... should we?" Will whispered in confusion.
"That's Y/N Harrington!" Lucas spat out.
"Steve Harrington's little sister." Dustin stated, now understanding.
Mike groaned. "The douche bag my sisters hooked on?"
"Yes! What if she's exactly like him?"
"You mean a total mouth breather? A player? An absolute jackass?"
You sunk to the floor. Of course Steve ruined the only chance you might have of a friendship. How could she think that these kids would look past her family's reputation? No one ever did. Even her teachers expected her to be disruptive and rude.
"Guys." Will intervened. "I talked to her in history."
"What?!"
"Traitor!"
"What about the party?"
Will lowered his voice, causing you to lean a little closer to the door. "She doesn't act like him. She never called me any names. She never told me that I'm a freak. She tried to talk to me about art."
"Steve definitely doesn't appreciate art." Dustin mumbled.
Wills continued. "She's a cartoonist. And I think she might be like us. You know who kept beating our dragon lair record?"
"Who?"
"Please tell me it wasn't Troy."
"Y/N Harrington."
"WHAT?!"
"IT WAS HER?!"
"GIRLS PLAY VIDEO GAMES?!"

5. I don’t know who that is. Sorry.
Third
Monday came faster than Solana wanted it to.
After Friday the rest of her weekend went by in a blur. Saturday and Sunday were spent with family since there wasn't much of that since she came home from camp.
Solana had just finished getting dressed, reluctantly, and made her way towards the kitchen. Jamal was sitting at the table eating a bowl of cereal. Solana knew that he would text her later about his stomach hurting from the milk, he's lactose intolerant but she didn't say anything.
"Hey, do you want a ride." Solana grabbed her bookbag from its spot by the door and slipped on her sandals.
Jamal shook his head, "I'm gonna walk with the crew. But I'll see you at lunch?" He placed his bowl in the sink and grabbed his bag too. Both of the Turner kids walked out of the house and Solana locked the door behind them. Their dad was respected because of his business but they could never be too sure.
"Yes sir." Solana walked to her car while Jamal started walking down the street toward school. "Please be safe J."
"Girl, you know I'm always safe." He turned around walking backwards and popped his collar. "They need to watch out for me cause I'm dangerous."
Because Jamal was turned around not watching where he was going, he backed into a fire hydrant and fell back. Solana rolled her eyes and got in her car, she pulled out and made her way to pick up Braelyn and Raziya.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
"Who's your first period?" Solana, Braelyn and Raziya were still sitting in the car waiting for the first bell to ring. Each girl had their phone in their hand looking at their class schedule.
"I have Bloomberg." Solana glanced at the other girls as they groaned in protest.
"Fucking lucky." Raziya sighed out. "I have Ms. Roberts."
Solana and Braelyn let out collectives 'ooohs'. They both understood Raziya's frustration seeing as they both had her last year for English class and she was not an easy teacher.
"Well I have Ms. Carter and I'm okay with it because she's pretty chill." Braelyn opened her door and slid out along with Solana and Raziya.
Walking through the parking Solana noticed the familiar cherry red convertible parked across the street with its owner sitting in the driver seat. She tried not to make eye contact but it was hard when she could feel him staring at her.
"He's basically burning a hole in your face." Solana groaned kept walking. She was still upset about Friday but she wasn't pressed about it.
"I know." The three girls sat at one of the tables in front of the school. They continued to talk about their classes and what teachers they didn't like.
"So are you like over Oscar." Braelyn set her phone down on the table and looked at Solana. Braelyn knew that she wasn't, she just wanted to hear her say it.
"I don't know who that is." Solana shrugged her shoulders and continued her people watching. Across the way she noticed her brother and his friends sitting at a table, they must've been waiting for Cesar.
Raziya rolled her eyes, "Lana for real."
"Well technically we were never together for me to 'be over him' but I just think what he did was stupid as fuck and if he didn't want to hang with me he could've just told me that. Instead he blew me off for another girl without a call or text." Solana took her bag off and laid her head on it. "So I don't know, but I do know boys are stupid."
"Except me though, right?" Solana rolled her head to the right and seen Cesar standing there with a smirk on his face.
"No, especially you." Solana joked to him and got up to hug him. "I'm just kidding Ceas. How you been?"
He nodded his head and shrugged simultaneously. "I've been better. But hey my brother wants to talk to you."
Solana shook her head 'no' and sat back in her seat. The last thing she wanted to do was talk to Oscar right now because it would ruin her whole day and it barely started.
Cesar's phone dinged and glanced at it. He had a text from his brother. "He said if you don't go over there then he'll come over here, your choice."
Solana sighed as loud as she could and dragged her feet across the street. She could hear her friends plus Cesar laughing behind her.
Solana opened the red door and flung herself into the passenger seat while slamming the door. She slouched into the seat and crossed her arms across her chest, glaring out of the windshield.
"Yo chill out with slammin' my shit!" Oscars eyebrows knitted in frustration. First Solana wasn't answering his texts and now she's here slamming his car door.
Solana turned to him in mock sympathy. She placed her hand over her chest, "I'm sorry, let me just-", she opened the door and slammed it again.
Oscar clenched and unclenched his jaw, not wanting to lose his cool towards her. He watched her type on her phone instead of paying attention to him.
Oscar snatched the phone from Solana's hand and put it in pocket closest to the driver door. "Tell me how you feel Sol." He shifted his body towards her direction and threw his arm across the back of the car seat.
"You're an asshole." She looked at him with a stoic face. "Instead of just telling me you didn't want to hang out, you stood me up and I had to hang with my brother. Not that I mind because I love my brother, and we actually had a lot of fun, it's just you could've sent a text. And then you ditched me for Amaya, of all people."
"Are you jealous?" Oscar smirked her way.
"Of Amaya?" Solana screwed her face up and laughed wholeheartedly. "Yeah right. She's slept with literally every guy in our grade, you're just another one that got added and checked off her list. Don't feel too special."
Solana heard the bell for first period ring and grabbed the door handle to get out. "We're not together so I'm not mad, but don't invite me to hang out if you're just gonna bail." She shut the door with a shrug and made her way to class.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
Lunch time came and to say Solana was happy was an understatement. She had two more classes to go to, being on block schedule was a gift. Solana walked through the countless bodies in the hallway to her locker. She grabbed her sketch pad for her double art class, instead of having to come all the way back to this side of the school.
Solana closed and locker her locker and made her way to the cafeteria. Her phone buzzed in her hand and she glanced at it to see a text from Oscar.
Spooky 👻
I'm picking you up later
11:25 AM
Mamas 🖤
No you're not
11:30 AM
Solana grabbed a lunch tray and went through the lunch line like every other person. She decided between the lesser evils of lunch food and went with a chicken salad. Another text came through and Siri read it in her AirPods.
Spooky 👻
Let me make it up to you
11:35 AM
Mamas 🖤
It's a little too late for that don't you think 🙂
11:36 AM
Spooky 👻
Be ready by 6
11:38 AM
Mamas 🖤
Say I do agree to this...
What am I supposed to wear?
11:40 AM
Solana walked out of the cafeteria to the outside tables and found her brother and his friends plus Braelyn and Raziya.
"Hey you's guys." Solana sat between her brother and Ruby, hugging his head. Like all of Jamals friends, Ruby had a special place in her heart, a close second to Cesar. She loved them all in her own little way.
Spooky 👻
Whatever you want baby
11:47 AM
You look good in everything
11:47 AM
Solana smirked at her phone at what Oscar said. She didn't want to toot her own horn but, he wasn't wrong.
Mamas 🖤
Whatever 🙄
11:50 AM
I'll see you later
11:51 AM
Jamal glanced over his sisters shoulder, along with Ruby, to see her texting Oscar. Neither of them said anything but glanced at each other, knowing that she could be used in their plan to talk to Oscar.
"Who you texting Sol." Raziya leaned on her hand grinning at Solana. Braelyn tilted her head at Solana and glanced to Raziya.
"Yeah, she was pretty smiley over there wasn't she Ziy?" Solana rolled her eyes with the other gazed at her, waiting for an answer.
"Don't start." Solana shot her hand out in a 'stop' motion. "Don't start."
Braelyn and Raziya threw their hands up in surrender. "Ok, fine."

I can't fucking stand that bitch. Raziya text the groupchat. After lunch everyone went to their respective classes. Since most of the school followed the four girls, the drama was already spreading and it was only the first day.
Amaya was the type of girl that craved drama and attention. Her name was always in something and someone always got dragged down with her. The girls were friends with Amaya, once upon a time, but then things changed. Amaya was caught up in being better than everyone, but it happens.
Solana sat in art class, the only class she really cared for. She loved art in all forms, getting this class double was amazing for her. Not to mention her teacher was one of her favorites.
There were a little less than ten minutes left of class and Solana didn't want to leave. Her leaving meant she would have to hang with Oscar, and she didn't really want to.
When the bell rang to go home, Solana took her time leaving. Lately she hasn't been able to have any 'me time' so she took this time to. Her life was hectic right now between; cheer, seeing a man that is older than her, and school starting up, she wasn't sure she'd be able to handle it.
Solana's phone dinged in her back pocket, she pulled it out and seen a text from Jamal.
J-man 🏈
My stomach hurts

Can you take me home

An update on the friend I'm housing.
Last week we had an argument . When she and my friends were recording the video they went kind of "behind schedule", which means one of my friends got up really early and came from his house on the other side of town just to wait for 2 hours while she did things that weren't really that important and my other friend was kind of annoyed, and this had happened before and worst. So, after the video was filmed I asked her to try to be a bit more punctual, i asked her nicely and added that if there was anything I could do to help her organice better she only had to ask. She exploted, she stated crying and muttering and screaming about how everything wasn't her fault and that other people should be blamed and that it was unfair that she gets all the blame and does all the work and then she locked herself in the bathroom. The thing is I never blamed her, i talked to the other people involved, but since she was organizing and all this thing revolves around her i needed to talk to her. It wasn't like I was lecturing her either, i tried to have a dialogue and a conversation, but she didn't or couldn't. She put herself constantly on a victim place and put me as the bad guy and I'm all like ???. She then started talking about how she was going to leave and never came back and how it was all ruined, an I'm just sitting there trying to defuse the situation.
When she came to my house she told me all about how she and her sister fought and how she had to leave, about some exes of her and friendships that she had. I suspected she self sabotages her relationships, told a friend about it, but I didn't expected it was going to be that way. It was stressful as fuck. I went to visit my mom, i had to visit them on the weekend, when I came back everything was tense. Then everything was alright out of the blue.
I didn't wanted to push it so I let it. And on Thursday my friend informed me that she plans to stay for a month. Informed me. Not asked. Informed. If she'd have asked I'd have said yes, but she didn't. She has been here over a month, and now she is staying for another one.
I'm having a hard time telling no to her or to ask for her to collaborate on the expenses. She offers to pay some things, but then she spends the day complaining about not having money and how her savings at disappearing, but when her father came by and left her money she spent a lot of it on beer and other things that even though I understand it's a hard situation and it must be nice to have expensive chocolate once in a while it annoys me a bit because I'm also running out of savings paying for things like water and the electricity, gas and food.
But I can't tell her any of those things. I know that anything slightly confrontational sets her off like the other day. I introduced her to my friends and she was rude to one, isn't talking to another bc she got mad at her and she just fought with the new neighbors on one of the near apartments. And I try really really hard to have a good relationship with the neighbors. She screamed at the neighbor "pelotuda de mierda" which is quite an insult here.
I don't know. I'm stressed about all of this. I don't want for her to stay a whole month. I offered her to start selling steamed bread with me to try cover some of the expenses, and she just kind of shrugged and didn't. But she can't go to her house bc the sister that hit her is there, and she can't go to her parents I don't know why either.
Anyways

Here are the steamed bread I was selling. They taste nice, but people don't like steamed bread much around here, it's a small town. Still I'm quite proud, they were really nice.
On other news my ex's grandma called, she told me she loved me and not to be a stranger. Also everything is going well with my ex, we are still friends. I still think of them as my family and they said they do to.

Here is a great picture of my cat, because I love him and he looks so funny.

The Stains Of Your Love
Tumblr media
[ GENRE: angst, mature
Pairing: Jimin×reader, Jungkook×reader
Word Count: 3.7k+]
[Summary: Jimin and your relationship was perfect, everyone said so, you thought so too. But love is not always what it seems to be. What if you get hurt by the person you loved the most? Will you flee away? But how far will you run until love finds you again?]
Part III: The Happinesses and The Dilemmas
Tumblr media
Happiness was just a mere word for you after you came back from Seoul, but it seemed to be taking a shape nowadays, and you were quite sure that it was in the shape of Jungkook. Lying on your bed, you laughed at yourself imagining the word "happiness" over his neck instead of his head. You rolled over, and lying on your stomach started browsing through the pictures that you two took throughout the day. You smiled fondly at each picture of Jungkook that you came across. "He is so adorable! I just wanna squeeze his cheeks and bop his scrunched nose!" You thought, scrunching your nose as it felt tingly at the thought. Rubbing your nose to make the sensation go away you thought of posting on Instagram. It had been long since you posted something. It's not like you didn't want to, it was more like you had nothing important enough that could have made you do the post. But today was different, and you didn't mind yourself being so giggly all this while.
You were having trouble with deciding on which picture you should post - every photo looked beautiful, and you can't post every one of them though you wanted badly. While scrolling through them, at the end you came across a picture of Jungkook that you took right before entering one of your favourite food places. You knew that he loved food but you didn't know that he would pull off a lover-meeting-beloved-after-a-long-time expression. Seeing that you had clicked your shutter, and became quite happy at the candid moment that you had caught.
You knew that many people, well not that many, would rain you with questions, but who cared. Shrugging at the thought, you clicked on the post button and edited your profile too. It was time for a change, you knew it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You couldn't stop smiling after posting it and your smile got wider seeing your best friend's comment on it. She had been teasing you constantly since you told her that morning that you were out with Jungkook and you were pretty sure that she wanted to play the role of Cupid.
.
Jungkook's heart skipped a beat when he saw your post, more precisely when he read the hashtag that you had added, "mysourceofhappiness". He read it over and over again, just to make sure that he wasn't dreaming.
In his heart, he knew that you two were meant to be. And the thing that made sure of the feeling was him posting picture of you on Instagram almost at the same time and using the same, well almost same, hashtag. It was a silly reason but nonetheless, he was happy, extremely. He checked his post again and seeing his cousin's comment on both of his and your post he burst into a loud laugh.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"I am never letting this girl go." Jungkook smiled a content smile to himself as he thought of you. His heart began to beat a bit faster than usual - it always did whenever you or your thoughts were near him- making him blush and smile foolishly. He was in love, undeniably.
...
"WHAT? WHAT? WHHAATTTT?? YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!!! TELL ME IT'S NOT TRUE!" you were shouting at the top of your lungs shaking Ga-yeon by holding her arms as she sat in front of you, trying to facepalm and calm you down at the same time, but was failing because you held her tight. "KYUNGSOO PROPOSED YOU?"
You were still processing the information that you got early in the morning.
An early ring of your phone had pulled you out of the dream that you were having that dawn. Ga-yeon had called you to open the door because she didn't want to wake your parents up at such an early hour. She was smiling ear to ear all the way from the main door to your bedroom. After sitting on your bed she made you sit down in front of her and holding your hand she said, blush creeping up from her neck to whole face, "Please don't shout, okay?? Kyungsoo proposed me for marriage."
The happiness that you felt was beyond expectations. After processing the whole situation in your still shocked brain, you took her into a tight hug and said, "I am so happy for you Yeon! I am sure that Kyungsoo will keep you happy!" You were genuinely happy and that made you tear up. You broke out from her hug and flicking the tears away from your eyes you said smiling, "So I am left alone now in the single's group, huh? How can you do this to me?" You pouted looking away from your best friend, faking anger.
"Don't say like this.." Ga-yeon put her hands on your shoulder to turn you around and with an evident smirk on her lips, she said, "You have Jungkook, don't you? How can you say that you are alone? You stole my little cousin away from me!"
Hearing Jungkook's name your heart fluttered, and your brain stopped working for a moment as the information hit you. "Am I really alone?" You wondered, and the answer to that was an obvious 'no'.
Your best friend stepped closer to you and with an evil smirk she almost whispered, "Can't find an answer, Huh? Guess, I was right then!"
At this you snapped out of the trance and slapped her hand away, with an apparent blush on your face, and said, "Oh! Stop, will you? It's nothing like that! Stop imagining weird things."
Ga-yeon rolled her eyes and gave up, "Yeah yeah I know. There's nothing going on in between you two, blah blah.. but you know what, you know better than me what's going on." She sighed heavily, "But I have more important things to deal with now other than your stupid love story!"
You were beginning to protest when she stopped you and said, "Listen to me dumbhead! Today our parents are meeting to fix the date of our marriage. You have to come with me to Kyungsoo's house. There they are going to have a video call with my parents, as they can't come here on such a short notice! And also you are going to be the Maid of Honor! I will come again in the evening to tell your parents about it!" She almost squealed at the end and hugged you out of excitement.
.
"So, this is happening at last!" You heaved a heavy sigh and plopped down on your bed after Yeon left. Kyungsoo and Ga-yeon had been in a relationship for a year now. Those two had always been a perfect couple, deeply in love with each other, just like you and Jimin were once. Kyungsoo was a really good guy and loved Yeon to the end of the world. Now thinking of it, the proposal so quick seemed like a normal thing for him to do. Remembering the ring that Yeon showed you earlier - with which Kyungsoo proposed her - you lifted up your left hand in front of your eyes. The ring mark had faded away like it was never even there. You thought how peaceful it would had been if like the ring mark, the memories had faded away too. Your tears, unruly as always, began to fall as Jimin's memories started to invade your weak heart, again.
...
At evening you came back to your house along with Ga-yeon. The marriage date had been fixed on a date two months later as Yeon's parents would be able to manage a long holiday at that time. And you can also arrange a leave within that time period. As the Maid of Honor you had lot of works to do and though you were pretty nervous, you were lot more excited to make it perfect in your own way. You took the responsibility to make everything flawless on behalf of her parents. Luckily enough, Jungkook offered to help to lessen your burden and you had always liked his taste in things more than your own.
The days passed by like the fast forwarded nature videos on discovery channel. But it was great and fun nonetheless. You juggled your time between your office works and making arrangements for the wedding. Along with Jungkook, Ga-yeon and Kyungsoo's parents you booked one of the most extravagant outdoor wedding venues that your best friend had always fantasized about being wedded at. The dress shopping was another adventure and you were glad that Ga-yeon could get that gorgeous and perfect dress that you all managed to find at the fifth shop that you visited.
It was a peaceful weekend evening, one month later, when you were sitting at your work table inside your room and checking out the things that were still needed to be done and crossing out the ones that had already been done. While doing that you were mumbling to yourself, "The flowers have been ordered. The caterers too. Oh! The invitation cards will be delivered tomorrow. We have to send the invitations as early as possible. Almost everything has been done, only the cake remains. I'll go the day after tomorrow to order them. Ah! I almost forgot about the bridal shower and the bachelorette party!" You sighed heavily as you realised that you still had a lot to do and the thought alone made you tired. You leaned down your head over the table and closed your eyes. In those few seconds of broken sleep you saw yourself in a wedding gown in front of a mirror, admiring yourself, when Jimin appeared from behind with a loving smile. You smiled back at him looking at his reflection on the mirror and then suddenly the mirror broke making you turn around to look at Jimin out of fear but he was not there, instead you found yourself standing on a pile of dead leaves.
You woke up with a start and were somewhat relieved that it was just a dream. The desire of having a family with Jimin was still there somewhere in the darkest corner of your heart and you despised it. You were trying to heal yourself gradually, one step at a time, but the memories of Jimin which still appeared from time to time, pulled you back two steps behind. Tears brimmed round the corners of your eyes and your heart sank. You decided to lie down on your bed and let the sadness win but yet again your plan for that got ruined, by the ringing of the doorbell. You reached downstairs only to find an extremely excited and smiling boy talking with your dad, Jungkook was here. As you entered the living room, Jungkook looked at you and your dad left the two of you to talk. The twinkle in Jungkook's eyes perked up your sixth sense and you immediately shook your head saying, "No, I am not going out anywhere!"
Jungkook's face fell off as soon as the words left your mouth and that made the inner you to want to cup those perfectly squishy yet chiseled cheeks. You chuckled out slightly and gave in, "Where are we going?"
At your reply the Jungkook of a few a minutes ago returned and he hummed, "To buy your dress of the day!"
After a lots of 'no's and 'yes'es, you were now sitting at the front passenger seat, with puffy cheeks and angry at yourself for falling for Jungkook's insistence, on your way to a shop that he had found out about that morning. Though you were angry, Jungkook found it cute and patted his own back mentally for at last managing to bring you out. He knew that the last month was like a guinea pig running wheel for you and you needed some time off. And he was quite sure that amidst all the preparations and shoppings for others you had totally forgotten about yours. As soon as the thought had struck him, he didn't waste a single minute and had hit the engine.
Entering the shop, you were completely lost, not because it was a maze but because it was mesmerising - with more-beautiful-than-the-last-one clothes. Your eyes wandered here and there like a lost puppy. You wanted to buy everything in that store and on the other hand wanted to run away at the same time. To clear your confused mind, you looked back to talk Jungkook out of there but he was nowhere to be seen. A heavy sigh escaped your lungs and you thought, "Why have I come here? To look at clothes or to look for Jungkook?"
Five minutes went by and still you had made no progress in finding him. Then suddenly he came from behind covered your eyes only to make you turn around and glare at him.
"Where were you? Am I your babysitter?" You asked exasperatedly.
He gave you a sheepish grin and said, "Come with me! I have to show you something!" Grabbing your left hand he pulled you to make you follow him. At the corner of the hall that you were in, there was a glass door which led to another room that was divided into multiple sections. This room appeared more sophisticated than the other part you were in earlier. Each section of the room contained two or three exclusively designed dresses and a changing room attached with it. Jungkook skipped the first two sections and entered the third one. Your eyes got glued to a dress as soon as you entered the section and you knew that this was it.
Tumblr media
You looked at Jungkook who was now standing behind you with a loving smile on his face. If it wasn't for him, you wouldn't had came to this store in the first place, let alone initiating to find this portion of the building. He gestured you to try on the dress and you nodded.
The expression of utter happiness on your face when you saw the dress filled Jungkook's heart with a happiness unknown and he wondered just how many ways were you capable of making him happy, making him feel this blessed and content. He wanted to jump and dance out of happiness but restricted himself and began humming to himself while waiting and looking at the intricate designs on the wall.
"Jungkook!" Hearing your evidently shy voice he turned around only to freeze. His entire body stiffened and he was quite sure that heart too was in that team. Only his eyes moved, as he took in the sight in front of him. His mind was processing the fact that how can one look so beautiful and fairytale-ish.
"Hey!" Your moving hands in front of his eyes brought him back to continue his functioning.
"How do I look?" You asked while looking expectantly at him and twirled around happily.
"Shall we get married?" Jungkook replied, still in a haze, barely whispering.
"What?" You looked up to hear properly what he had just said.
"Huh? This dress really suit you! It's perfect!" He blabbered out quickly to cover for what he had rambled out earlier.
You turned around and went to the mirror, smiling shyly with a maddeningly thumping heart because you had heard clearly what he had said the first time but you just pretended to not hear it.
The lady attendant came near you to check for the fittings but there was none needed. She smiled kindly and said, "Seems like the dress was made for you!" and then pointing subtly towards Jungkook she asked mildly, "Boyfriend?"
You smiled at her and replied with simple no. Her face turned into that of a disappointment. She said while looking at the dress, "It doesn't seem like it. You two look like you are deeply in love. You should confess to each other. An advice from a person who have lived in this world a little bit more." She made herself face you, still smiling, and said, "True love is not what everyone can find! I'll have the dress packed then. Please change." And she scurried away to the main counter. You looked at her walking figure and sighed deeply thinking, "No one knows better than me."
.
Within the blink of an eye, the wedding day was here. And needless to say that it was a pandemonium. But you had always dealt with pandemoniums whether it was inside or outside, and now you could say you were a pro. When Ga-yeon got ready you couldn't take your eyes off of her and thought what was Kyungsoo going to do! After arranging everything and checking on the bridesmaids, flower girl and ring bearer, you went to get ready yourself. You had always been a quick dresser and there was still time left.
.
While entering the aisle with bouquet in your hands, you looked at Jungkook, who was there standing altar along with the ushers, as handsome as ever. His eyes, you could feel, were on you and the look that he gave when you wore the dress for the first time was now more piercing, yet lost and loving. You blushed, terribly, and averted your gaze.
Jungkook could feel his breathing go unsteady when he saw you. With the dressed up hair, a little yet sophisticated make-up and that outfit made you look more magical. He just couldn't make his eyes move away from you. He could feel that you were looking at him directly into his eyes but he neither had the intention nor the power to look away from you.
Only when you reached the alter and stood along with the bridesmaids, he got out of his trance like situation and smiled shyly to himself.
You looked over at Kyungsoo when Ga-yeon appeared at the front of the aisle and his face reflected the same expression which you saw on Jungkook's face awhile ago. This made you smile with a permanent blush on your face earning you a nudge and a questioned look from Grace who was standing beside you.
The whole ceremony went smoothly as you had imagined. When Yeon and Kyungsoo said their vows and kissed each other, their love radiated throughout the area and almost everyone found themselves in tears along with yourself and Jungkook.
.
At evening amidst all the laughter and dances, a loud clinking sound through the microphone attracted everyone's attention. When you turned to look at the way from it was coming from, you found Jungkook holding a glass of champagne and a spoon, ready to make a toast. An odd time to make a toast, you thought and facepalmed mentally. When all of the guest's attention was on him he started, "I would like to have all of your undivided attention while I give a toast to the bride and groom. I promise to make it short so that you can go back to the fun." He winked and continued, "They say when you fall in love, you fall hard. But I didn't know that it would make her brain go wongle-bongle like this! As a child, Yeon always used to tell me that she would never get married and it was for mad people. But see who is the mad one now! I guess love does that to people – do weird things. I am so happy for both of you. And I sincerely thank you because it was for you that I could find someone who is worth doing with, what you did! And Kyungsoo, my man, I hope you will never spoil the magic for her and keep her happy always. So join me in raising a glass to the two people who make love look good and worth it."
After gaining loud applauses and with a shy smile on his face, Jungkook got down from the raised platform and came straight to you to hide his flushed face in the crook of your neck. You smiled at his cute gesture and noticed that Yeon was smirking at you. You stuck out your tongue at her and rolled your eyes. Jungkook was still in the same position but it wasn't as uncomfortable as you thought it would be, rather it felt quite natural. You kept your right hand on his head instead of making him move away. In the next second, the music started playing and you motioned his right hand on your waist and held his left hand. Both of your bodies moved in perfect harmony as if you two had been dancing together for years, it didn't even feel awkward. You glanced up at him and drowned in those starry eyes as he did in yours. You didn't know for how long you two had been like that as the music slowly faded away and left you two with a rhythm of your own. It just seemed perfect – every turn, every pull, every sway seemed perfect, utopian – a moment to cherish forever. The sudden outbursting cheer and clap pulled both of you out of the ecstatic state, and the music came to an end.
At dinner, you sat with Jungkook to eat in peace but you were constantly struggling with your hair that was coming into mouth when you were trying to eat. Jungkook noticed that and gestured you to stop and wait. Then with a swift movements of his hands he pulled out a clip that was clipped at the back of your hair and taking the locks of your untamed hair pinned it together with the hairs from the back. You looked at him but he had already started eating as if nothing had happened. Caring for each other had became like a habit for both of you. Though subtle, it was there, and you knew that the past months had brought you two even closer. You smiled mildly at yourself and looking over at Yeon, who was laughing happily with her husband, you wondered, "Will I ever be able to find a person with whom I would be able take the vows, to love and cherish forever? Who knows? May be someday..." The answer was right beside you, unknown yet known to you.
