i wish i could concisely explain my sims world but i’ve been fleshing the same one out for almost 2 years. where do i even begin
#i’m 5 gens in and it would be more but i slowed down lifespans and made life stages longer with a mod#so now i can really focus on their little lives#and it’s all one huge family. they started from quiverful fundies and then a bunch of the kids managed to escape and now the whole world is#populated by the descendants of this one insane couple#i use random townies to expand the family bc i like all the family trees criss crossing#but i think a lot of the line will die with this generation. not everyone is having kids#and i’m making unrelated sims for new townies so i can have more genetic diversity#my game used to be ONLY about this family but i’m done working#through that stuff in therapy so now it’s more varied#for example one sim. lil. she was banned from her family for killing her brother in self defense. but TWIST he was the serial killer who had#been terrorizing the world for months. BUT she killed hin in front of their nephew so everyone was mad at Her and not really him bc he was#already dead#(oh btw they’re all vampires)#so she decided to leave the area and start over completely#and cured herself of vampirism and then got herself bit by a werewolf#she keeps in contact with quite. a few of her cousins but her parents and aunts and uncles not so much#her grandparents are all dead and they were the OG crazies bc she’s only third gen#but like her dad is literally dying of a fatal disease and he hasn’t even told her. she’s just being invited to the mourning party#my bestie and gf love hearing about it it’s like a soap opera

——-
Life had a funny way of punching Katherine in the gut: like finding out about another person with her face. Or, after 500 years of enjoying life as a Vampire, the teen High school version of herself forced the Cure down her throat and turned Katherine Pierce, Survivor Extraordinaire Human again.
And then, the ultimate gut punch, life threw another inexplicable curve ball at her.
In a dark back alley ("My name is Nadia Petrova… and you are my mother.") Katherine found her daughter again.
It's an understatement to say Katherine had mixed feelings about finally meeting her daughter. Katherine lived a solitary life for five centuries and she's learned to keep her family in a box, in a corner of her mind. Nadia was like a ghost hovering over her with her big doe eyes, expecting things from her.
Some morbid fantasy about being mother and daughter.
Katerina Petrova harbored a similar same fantasy, Katherine Pierce did not. Katherine lived with cold facts and numbers, probabilities. All to serve a single purpose— keeping herself alive.
She also can't live up to whatever fantasy Nadia had of her, and she said as much.
There was no future relationship between them. Especially now that Katherine realized she was dying. Dying, of old age, of all the stupid, random things. The Great Katherine Pierce felled by Old Age. It was embarrassing.
(And terrifying. If there was one other thing Katherine feared more than Klaus, it was death.)
Nadia cut Katherine off, angry and full of feeling as she pulled up her sleeve. "You don't have to worry about me any longer."
And there it was, the ugly bite on her arm. A werewolf bite. More accurately a hybrid bite, a death sentence for a vampire.
It was like white noise in her head. She can't really tell but maybe because was Human now, again, maybe because it was realizing that she was going to watch her daughter, her only daughter die. It felt like every emotion rushed towards her, falling on her and she had no tools to push past it.
Everything fell away for Katherine. Everything crystallized for Katherine and she had a sharp steady sick feeling rising inside her. It was her fault Nadia got bit. It was Katherine's schemes and blind stupid affection for Stefan Salvatore. Suddenly rule number 1 didn't matter as much and before Katherine can stop to think she grabbed Nadia's arm, "We're going."
"Where are we going?" Nadia allowed herself be pulled along until annoying, pesky Caroline stepped in front of her.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
Katherine stared at Caroline. “New Orleans.”
Caroline looked surprised, “You’re going to Klaus?”
“She’s my daughter.”
Something flashed across Caroline’s face and then she stepped aside.
“You’re letting me go?” Katherine was surprised and suspicious.
Caroline looked past Katherine then back at her, “Yeah.”
Katherine didn’t need to be told twice and pulled Nadia until they got into her car.
“Also,"Caroline began. Katherine stopped, cautious. "No offense, but I Mystic Falls would be a lot better without you here.”
It hurt a little to hear that and it annoyed Katherine that it hurt to hear. She looked around this small town that just a few days ago she was determined to make her home. Nadia was looking at her intently, probably remembering their earlier discussion. How she had begged Katherine to leave with her, return to Bulgaria with her.
Katherine schooled her face and said, “The charm’s worn off anyway.”
Katherine started the car and drove away, past main street, and just before they passed the Mystic Falls sign. Nadya let out a rueful chuckle, "To think all it took for you to leave this town with me is dying."

TS4: Werewolves
so I just got the werewolf pack for Sims 4 and am trying it out.  Had to come up with a character to play so I went with
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jason Todd.
I don’t know, maybe after he got relifed he ran away to Werewolflandia instead of going back to Gotham.  Anyway, got him moved into a cute little house (the world only has three livable lots, think of it as another Glimmerbrook) and bought a punching bag and a telescope for him.  No, an actual human sized telescope.  Like we used to be able to get in Sims 3.  I’m pretty stoked about it actually.
So on the upside, the world has two social lots and one of them is a library that’s also a gym.  Needless to say, Jason was on the spot for it.  We also met the cute librarian and got our flirt on, so that was nice.
Tumblr media
She shouldn’t be allowed to dress herself but to be fair, none of the sims should.  We’ll mess with CAS later.
The other lot is a pretty sweet outdoor bar, which I’m interested to see how that works come winter.  The bar/truck thing is pretty cool though and the bartender is also a cutie.
Tumblr media
Yes, Jay also got his flirt on with her.  I’ve got Wonderful Whims installed and when he finds someone cute I just let him go for it.  What I like about the bartender is
Tumblr media
scars.
She’s got some really obvious scars on her face and arm and once you get her talking you’ll find out she was attacked by a werewolf but didn’t want to turn so she got the cure made and now offers it at her bar for anyone that needs it.  I really like characters with some backstory going on.
Anyway, there are two werewolf packs in the area apparently, one more straight-laced than the others and there’s some interesting backstory lore having to do with a Century War and Vampires vs. Magic Users vs. Werewolves (maybe).  I did like the bit about magic users learning magic originally from their canine familiars and there’s a relative of Lilith’s living there as well so that’s interesting world building.  I honestly spent most of my time though running around trying to get Jason bitten.  To which point, there’s a bunker/rabbithole (like the crypts in TS3 though I suspect its probably actually a gateway rabbithole and I just haven’t made the right choices yet) that you can explore.  The first time I went down I found a tuna casserole which I was pretty excited about since Jay can’t cook at this point but it was spoiled by the time we got home.  The second time we went in though it was a full moon which is apparently the trigger and we got attacked!!
Yay!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so apparently we’ve caught werebies.  First sign of that?
Foaming at the mouth.  Yum.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His hat says ‘dead inside’ btw and I think he’d approve.
So that’s as far as we’ve gotten so far.  We could have, apparently, asked someone to bite us if we knew them well enough but that’s waaaay too non-traumatic for Jason so viscous attack it was.
Will our hero find the cure in time?
Will he go for the librarian or the bartender?
Will he ever get the foam stains out of his pillow?
Stay tuned, gentle viewer.  Same bat-time, same bat-channel!

A very long time ago I suggested a MBaV au then later took it down because I didn’t think that many people watched the show so not many people probably knew what I was talking about. I’ve decided to bring it back.
I had art to go with this (Which I might have posted earlier so my apologies if this is the second time you’ve seen this au) but people didn’t seem particuarly fond of it and I was worried that the art would be offputting from the actual concept.
Anyway, MBaV stands for My Babysitter’s a Vampire and it was this cheesy supernatural show I watched when I was a kid. This au has a few differences from the show, either because the time frame doesn’t fit (MBaV is set in the modern day, TGS is Victorian London so some things don’t match up), because I don’t properly remember the episode (It’s been a long time, not everything will match up. There are some episodes that I didn’t see at all.), or just because the change seemed better fitting for the au.
Dr Jekyll is a powerful spellcaster who, after a mishap with a spell years ago, accidentally split himself into two. While Jekyll is known for being one of the older and more skilled spellcasters in London, Edward has a bad habit of messing up spells, either by not reading through the consequences before using them or reading them backwards. He’s technically still powerful but it’s difficult for people to tell when so many of his spells go sideways.
The pair can hide memories from each other and both use it to screw with the other.
Jekyll runs a society for the supernatural, trying to keep the supernatural side of London from messing around with the normal side too much. However, the society has a cover of being a society for the sciences so it attracts a mixture of regular humans and the supernatural meaning that:
A. The supernatural side of the society has to be hidden from some of the society’s members
B. They’re not actually sure how many are human and how many are supernatural, leading to some more malicious monsters slipping in.
--
Lanyon, meanwhile, is a seer. By touching people or certain objects he can receive visions of the future or the past but they’re not always clear.
Throughout his life, these abilities have allowed him to learn a lot of things he didn’t want to know about - he always knew when other people were just trying to use him, he always knew when something bad was going to happen to someone, and it left him rather cynical and detatched. He does his best to avoid contact with people to avoid getting these visions.
However, he starts to get particularly bad visions from Dr Jekyll, hinting that Edward Hyde will eventually start being a danger to Jekyll. As a result, he’s doing his best to figure out what the deal with Edward is before it’s too late or, at least, get rid of Edward before things can come to pass.
Rachel and Henry don’t seem to take him seriously about Edward (Rachel doesn’t want to believe that Edward could hurt Jekyll and, therefore, reasons that Lanyon’s visions aren’t telling him everything and Jekyll, obviously, already knows everything and wants Lanyon to stay out of it before he learns the truth.)
--
Rachel is a fledgling vampire, bitten and turned by Moreau, the leader of a vampiric cult. She hasn’t drunk human blood yet which means she’s weaker than most vampires, hoping that, if she remains a fledgling (continues to not drink from people) she might one day be cured.
Jekyll helps make a blood substitute for her so she never has to drink from a human.
The Elephants are an all female all vampire group so Lucy and Elsie are very supportive of Rachel’s vampirism and often give her advice on the matter. (Although they don’t really get her aversion from drinking human blood.) Lucy is a very old and powerful vampire.
Eli was killed by Moreau when he ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time.
--
Frankenstein is a necromancer who came to London looking for the  powerful spellcaster she had heard so much about, wanting his help to cure vampirism entirely. However, the moment she arrived she ended  up in an altercation with Moreau, leaving her injured. To her annoyance,  she had to pick up the cover of being a scientist looking for a cure  for her son’s terrible condition (The son being Creature.) and was taken in by the society while  she searches for the spellcaster in her spare time. To her extra  annoyance, every time she slips away and starts trying to track the  spellcaster, it always somehow seems to lead her directly into the path  of “the naive human” Dr Jekyll leading to her being put back to bed every time.
In all fairness, Jekyll has perfected the ignorant human act.
Things become trickier however when her spell finally leads her to Edward Hyde instead, leading her to believe that he’s the spellcaster. Edward doesn’t correct her or even let Jekyll know about this, wanting to prove himself as powerful as Jekyll.
Eventually, he starts searching for a powerful magical artifact which could help them. A magical artifact with absolutely no corrupting properties at all. Ever. It’s perfectly safe and will not at all ever send Hyde, already the personification of evil, towards trying to eliminate his good half and take over London. Of course not.
Jekyll knows that something bad is afoot but, with Hyde blocking his memories from him, he doesn’t know exactly what. Neither does Frankenstein realize her mistake until it’s too late.
---
The lodgers:
Helsby is a mermaid. When he’s touched by water, he turns into his mermaid form and his singing voice can send everyone around him into a rage. After he causes a lot of chaos around the society, Lanyon, Rachel, and Hyde set out to try to defeat him in a music contest. If he loses, he has to stop. This plan goes sideways when Hyde marches in with a trumpet cursed to make the most horrible noise possible and basically forces Helsby into submission instead. And destroys Lanyon and Rachel’s eardrums in the process.
Jasper is a werewolf as always. He came directly to the society, looking for help with his condition, fearing the danger of his werewolf half. Werewolves and vampires have a natural rivalry but Rachel just decided that the taboo of it was just more romantic and fell for him. When the full moon came, though, everyone found out that Jasper just turns into a harmless dog. Rachel was a little disappointed but still loved him anyway.
Cantilupe is an ancient god who slipped in with the intent of collecting followers in the society to bring about the apocalypse, pretending to be a zoologist. However, she then met Lavender, a newer human zoologist who viewed her as her senior and constantly looked for Cantilupe’s help with her work. Cantilupe decided she was fond of this tiny human and stopped trying to end the world. Lavender still isn’t aware that her senior is a literal god.
Maijabi is a spirit that can inhabit mirrors. His cursed mirror was accidentally taken in by the society where he began to manipulate people who looked into his mirror into harming people around them to get revenge for his death after dying in a prank gone wrong. As it turned out, though, Lanyon could see him for what he was thanks to his powers. After stopping him, Jekyll used his magic to make him visible to other people so he can sort of live again. He still can’t touch people without passing through them.
Sinnett is human but, at one point, a sentient tree ends up getting into the society and taking control of all of the automatons, technology, and clockwork in there, including Sinnett’s arm. He helps arm the trio with flamethrowers to fight the tree but they couldn’t get the last bit of tree of out Sinnett’s prosthetic arm. Now he has to deal with an evil tree in his arm which occasionally tries to convince him to destroy the world. He tunes it out.
Tweedy is also human but he’s a “paranormal investigator” who came to the society looking for ghosts. Most of his equipment suspiciously goes off around Rachel (She is undead and all) and everyone has to keep trying to hide the numerous ghosts and zombies in the society.
Bryson is the ghost of a once famous aeronaut looking to regain his lost fame. He tries to force Lanyon as the only person who can see him into helping him with this but Lanyon knows absolutely nothing about aeronautics.
---
Other things:
Once, as a lesson to try to teach Robert, Rachel, and Edward to work together, Henry secretly used a spell to send each one of them into their own pocket dimension based off of each of their fears. Initially it was supposed to have safeguards in place to keep the exercise safe and keep the fears mild.
Hyde was given the fear of being alone (A world completely devoid of people)
Rachel was given a fear of losing herself to her vampirism (A more powerful and evil version of herself)
Robert was given the villain from a play he watched recently which frightened him. (An automaton dentist gone rogue.)
However, either by Hyde messing around with magic to try to free them all or by some malicious outside intervention (Because it would be mean for Jekyll to do this himself but I can’t miss out the angst of a proper worst fear episode.) the safeguards got removed and the worlds started to twist themselves to everyone’s deepest darkest fears.
Hyde ended up chased by his own friends, turning on him after they discovered his secret.
Rachel was chased by the ghost of Eli, blaming her for his death.
Robert got a monstrous version of Hyde from his visions, the version of Hyde he knew was someday destined to kill Jekyll. (Hyde was very flattered when he found out.)
All of them try to hide their fears from the others and the worlds continue feeding off their fear and becoming more monsterous and twisted as time goes on.
They all only just escape.
--
Jekyll and Hyde have been seen in the same place before which doesn’t help anyone figure out that they’re the same person. Thanks to messing around with an old cursed camera from Jekyll’s collection, Hyde accidentally makes an evil clone of himself. Everyone kind of notices that Hyde’s acting a little worse than usual but Jekyll’s the only one who knows that something wrong’s going on here (Because that’s himself just standing there mocking him.) and Jekyll has to try to stop the evil Hyde alone, unable to tell anyone why he knows that isn’t the real Hyde.
--
Jekyll once accidentally hired a carriage haunted by the ghost of a dead vampire and everyone had to work together to stake it because it wouldn’t stop running people over.
They don’t talk about it.
The horses came out fine.
--
Hyde once tried to resurrect an old pet of Lucy’s to attempt to impress her (Pets don’t live awfully long when you’re immortal after all.) but ended up bringing to life every dead animal in the area. Every last one of them turned out violent. After getting rid of most of the animals, they found one little zombie dog that somehow didn’t become violent. Jekyll took it in and named it Zosi.

A not-so-brief overview of my Skyrim Dova OCs bc i need to scream to the digital void about my ideas
Freyora Lind, more commonly known by her strange alias “Bjorne Icepick”
Tumblr media
A Nord-eventually-turned-werewolf who orphaned during the Great War and taken in by a Dunmeri mercenary whose residence was in Windhelm’s Gray Quarter. Grew up in a cramped boarding house setting among desperate mercenaries of varying backgrounds. Many of them would all come and go, but there was always some sort of a familial bond between them all.
From a young age she got in a lot of fights against people who insulted her for living in the Gray Quarter among the dark elves. Eventually she took a fight too far and was jailed for murder around 14, but was broken out shortly after by a band of masked vampires. Turns out some of her mercenary comrades unwittingly caught vampirism during a contract to clear out a vampire den and had to skip town, but not before ensuring one of their own wasn’t left to rot.
Lived in Cyrodil for about 15 years, but returned to Skyrim pursuing rumors surrounding a cure to vampirism, as her adoptive father would be nearing the end of his elven lifespan and had wished to die a normal death.
Seeing as she was literally a fugitive, and her long-belated parents were somewhat renowned for their battlefield prowess, she took on a false identity. AND an act to match it.
She’ll eat raw meat, chase prey with swords instead of using a bow like a normal person, harp about irrational conspiracy theories, and more. Everyone’s foul reactions to her outlandish act are plainly hilarious to her and only encourage her to act even stranger.
The alias “Bjorne Icepick” was simply the most ridiculous name she could think of.
Not the most morally outstanding. Besides drunken brawling, she’ll steal from anyone who angers her, even if it’s things she literally won’t ever need such as all the goblets in a household. It’s the pettiness that counts. “Try drinking your damn high-end wine now, jackass.”
Calls Dwarven Automatons “Gundams.” Including she herself, no one knows what that means.
Joins the Companions out of homesickness and a desire to fill in a gap that leaving home left.
Hasn’t bothered curing herself of lycanthropy because her whole schtick is being incredibly resourceful, and that includes using any means of power necessary. Still doesn’t fancy Hircine’s Hunting Grounds as her desired afterlife, though.
As her journey goes on, however, her lightheartedly eccentric face starts to fall off as a number of events push her to begin to question the legitimacy of her actions up until that point.
Some of which include the eventual death of her adoptive father (and how she was indirectly responsible for it even if it was what he wanted), Delphine’s ultimatum, the civil war as a collective, learning the tragic history behind the Falmer and the original Companions’ role in it, and killing of Vyrthur (no matter how much he genuinely deserved it).
She grows disgusted by herself down to the core. She takes to skooma to cope, and starts to be plagued by serious skooma-induced side effects. She ends up shutting herself away from all her responsibilities and distancing herself from her friends.
Does she get better? Maybe. I haven’t thought up anything past this point lol
Moureneris Alta
Tumblr media
A very, VERY ancient vampiric snow elf, (though it’s notable she was born a considerable amount of time after the razing of Sarthaal)
Survived many atrocities. Stayed in isolation with a band of vampires for countless years out of sheer disgust for the nature of the sapient races. (I’ll explain her full story some other time. It’s pretty complicated)
She was abducted from her isolated lifestyle by a certain person i’ll talk about later. She managed to free herself south of Skyrim, and uh, walks right into that Imperial ambush. The rest is history.
Super ignorant to modern society as a result of centuries of isolation. Exploited for comedic relief. (“What in the name of Oblivion is a Cyrodilic Empire? Are you messing with me? And please, how does levitation magic simply get outlawed by this hypothetical Empire? What are you to do when you fall down a crevice? Just... let yourself perish? How degrading.)
She reintegrated herself into society with vengeance in mind under the belief that all humans are savage bloodlusting murderers who had to answer for their treachery. (And she was royally angry there was no Dwemer left to spite, but partially satisfied at the same time). But she grows conflicted after being shown genuine kindness, even as early as being freed from her binds in Helgen.
Subsequently has a very muddled redemption arc. Queue Dragonborn hero stuff
She has impaired vision, but she cultivated detect life magic to aid her in daily life and combat (think Hyakkimaru from Dororo ‘19 and his soul detection or Toph Beifong from ATLA and her seismic sense). At her peak, she can detect life from about a kilometer away.
She can just barely read, but only if she holds the text incredibly close to her face, not to mention her Cyrodilic lessons were left unfinished after her abduction, making reading a very taxing process. Weary travelers are often spooked at the sight of a floating, ghastly looking elven woman with her nose pressed up against crossroad signs, and it has become somewhat of an urban legend.
Isn’t as nearly as skilled with detecting the dead and tenses up in burial crypts or around other vampires for that reason. Unfortunately, being the Dragonborn and all, she finds herself in a lot of crypts...
When questioned about her background due to her unique appearance: “Oh, yeah. My mother was one of those mer from the east. You know the ones. Dark elves, I think? And my father was one of those er, tall elv- no, sorry, HIGH elves. Yeah. They both died in a big fire or something though. It was horrible. I can’t get the noxious smell or the deafening screams out of my head. Good talk, but never ask me about that again.”
Queue sheltered old immortal antics: “Wow, you’re THAT old? Enlighten me on how it felt witnessing the fall of the Dwemer. Or perhaps the rise of Tiber Septim’s Empire. The Gates of Ob-“ “Oblivion if I know. I lived in someone’s basement for thousands of years. And I still don’t know what everyone means by Empire. You all are messing with me, aren’t you? That really annoys me.”
She ultimately returns to faith in Auri-El and makes it her life’s purpose to help the Betrayed find peace, as well as to seek out any remaining snow elf groups. Probably good friends with Gelebor or something.
Had a crush on Serana. We all know how THAT went. Damned temples.
Was originally gonna spiral into a much darker corruption arc (another ATLA comparison being Jet or Hama) but I just felt bad for her. Moureneris can have a little found peace. As a treat.
That’s her preliminary design made. I’ll need a mod to properly play her, because that right there was made by choosing Dunmer as her race. But I can’t do that. I’m on console, and while I got the Steam port a month ago, my PC’s stone age specs can’t handle Skyrim yet and I’ll need to wait until I can afford a better graphics card (thanks economic inflation)
Alexandre Armasi, jokingly nicknamed Alexandre the Curious
Tumblr media
A complete and unapologetic export of my character from a dead and unfinished DND campaign. Except there are no Aasimar in Skyrim, so he’s half Altmer half Bosmer. And his initial last name was Armas but I thought Armasi suited his Skyrim counterpart more, as subtle a change it is.
He’s mainly Bosmer in appearance and constitution, save for his hair and eyes, which are more similar to that of his Altmeri father’s.
I can’t really export his original backstory though because the campaign wouldn’t translate well into TES lore at all.
He’s a writer who came wandering into Skyrim in search of inspiration. While he mainly writes dramatic fables, he wanted to divert his focus to crafting his own bestiary and herbal compendium surrounding Skyrim’s fauna and flora. The ones at home are simply too vague to him!
He’s very altruistic, wishing to spread cheer wherever he goes, through the art of song (even though he was a cleric in DND and not a bard. My bad.) However, many of his verses are just blatant self promotions of his published fables.
But he’s too naive for his own good. Dangerously so. In fact, he says what’s on his mind with little forethought, with little grasp on the consequences of his actions, which lands him in lots of trouble. “I don’t favor him myself, but you guys kill people over Talos worship? That’s not very cool. A bit scary, if you ask me.” or “A Stormcloak rebel? Didn’t your leader kill a bunch of Reachmen rebels years back, or so I’ve heard. By the divines that’s not a man I’d make a symbol of nonconformity.”
He’s also insatiably curious. The type to ACTUALLY shove alchemic ingredients in his mouth with no knowledge of their properties, experiment with dangerous rune spells, throw rocks at pressure plates, and more. Needless to say he’s very accident prone.
Doesn’t know common curse words. People exploit this for laughs. Think that episode of Spongebob.
Everyone is a little baffled that HE of all people is the prophesied Dragonborn of legend. This agonizingly imbecilic writer who has absentmindedly wandered into burial crypts, troll dens, bandit forts, and more, too busy juggling his manuscripts to pay attention to his surroundings.
His past doesn’t exactly reflect his outlook on life. His mother and father fought in the Great War aligned with the Imperials despite their elven background. Both managed to live to see the war’s conclusion, but his father vanished without a trace shortly after, and it seems his mother knows something she won’t tell him.
With plenty of exposure to bad influences, his innocence is slowly lost throughout the course of his journey, and his altruism begins to grow twisted. But nevertheless, he maintains his jovial, social persona, except this time with much darker undertones. Kinda like a creepy dentist or something.
Whoops. He winds up becoming a feared Dark Brotherhood assassin. (Haha get it “Innocence Lost”???) He somehow deluded himself into thinking that the life of an assassin was the right thing to do. But he’s a funky little guy so he gets a pass for his heinous crimes against society

Well. I could've waited until October to post this, but I'm impatient...vampire oc au :-)
Mira- the newest vampire, very very recently turned and has trouble controlling herself when it comes to her blood thirst. But also is sad all the time abt not being human anymore... she founded the coven!! Realistically, she was just terrified of being alone... she just kinda got thrown into this!! She isn’t even sure who it was who bit her! Turning people against their will at random is a vamp taboo in this world! So she proposes to the other two that if they help her hunt down the ‘bad’ vamps she’ll help them all to find a cure... which seems like an impossible goal, until you realize her parents are vampire hunters who’ve been helping Dr. Ryou research that exact thing for years with a spooky goth cafe as a front >:) she's also struggling with the idea that ppl want to hunt her and her friends-- teenagers! For smth they had no control over.. she runs away bc she's way too scared to tell her parents but keeps a close eye on them to try and keep them safe n see how that cure is coming along...
Persimmon- turned in the 80s or so, the best in the group at fronting as human, and is the best at illusions and compelling people. She’s got a huge collection of makeup, contacts, and wigs she uses to just stroll around and night, and has a ton of human and vampire friends alike. A+ at info gathering to keep herself safe, but has been a bit of a loner until joining this coven.
Aqua- the other two have NO IDEA how old she could even be. Centuries?? She mixes clothes and lingo from different time periods and seems to have trinkets from All Over. They wondered how she’d survived so long with her sweet disposition until they realized she basically had mastery over EVERY vampiric ability... she loves humans and hates to drink from them tho 💔 she’s very much in favor of hunting the ‘bad’ vampires and helping the new ones like Mira gain more control. Cinnamon roll 💕 but like Persi, she’s a loner until Mira comes along (she may have had a coven a long time ago, but losing them hurt her too deeply so she stayed solo for a long time...)
Sapote (not pictured Ahsjdjsjs) a werewolf who knows everyone in town and works for Queen, a politician who’s been gathering information about the creatures who lurk in the cities underground for... what reason, exactly? Well, Sapote doesn’t ask too many questions, money is money! She works with any species, she’s not picky nor does she judge much. She’s recently hired her own little helper, Cara! It’s... going... well? She’s not sure what to make of the young hunter.
Cara: a vampire hunter. Why she’s hunting so young is a mystery... 🤔 her and Mira have a very cat-mouse relationship. She calls Mira ‘less threatening than count chocula’ and asks her if she got her costume at party city (...YES) but feels a draw to her... 👀 she makes a point to ignore Sapote's requests for her to NOT go on solo hunts and is constantly throwing herself into danger. Whoops.

Erica, sentence 12, please?
this one was fun to do since it was kind of different than my usual stuff :D
“Well, if you had woken up properly the first time I kicked you, I wouldn’t have had to do it four more times.”
Maybe Erica shouldn’t have agreed to them splitting up. Maybe it was totally her fault wanting to after the monster of week alone. And maybe she should’ve known better than to get herself cornered in the chem lab, which was for anyone wondering, on the opposite side of the school of where everyone else was searching. Needless to say the odds were against her, but who’s keeping score?
This time around the monster of the week was another werewolf.
Well, correction it was Ethan as a werewolf again, who was much more of the typical fang and claw kind instead of the disappointingly cute, fluffy dog that was David. However, this time around he wasn’t as scary as the last time Ethan was temporarily turned but it was still definitely nothing to sneeze at.
Six feet tall, ripped clothes, blood soaked teeth that came to a point, and razor sharp claws that were dragging along the sides of the walls, the sound of his nails scratching harshly against the metal lockers caused a high pitched screech that made Erica’s ears ring. Despite the beast standing up right like a person, he couldn’t speak anything more than growls and grunts.
Erica hid behind the corner, attempted to steady her breathing and considered her next moves carefully. There was no way she could fight that thing by herself without seriously getting scratched up. Vampire fangs and werewolf claws did not mix, drinking their blood would make her completely sick and getting ripped up wouldn’t do her any favors either. Not to mention she didn’t have any silver on her so she had to keep running and hiding, no better than a human. How embarrassing.
Besides, even if she would never say it out loud Ethan was her friend, second best to Sarah. She didn’t actually want to hurt him but he wasn’t in the right mind to feel the same way towards her. Ugh, nice going Benny with another amazing spell that totally didn’t backfire again.
The werewolf let out a howl and sniffed the air. Shit. Okay. Erica needed to think faster, there had to be somewhere where she could get some kind of upper hand before he sniffed her out. Glancing ahead she could make out a classroom sign, ‘Chem Lab.’ Bingo. If there was anything at school that would be useful in a monster fight it would be in the one place they were allowed to have open fire and chemicals.
Erica used her skilled vampire hearing to listen in on how far away the footsteps coming towards her were, after a few seconds she figured the beast was at least a few yards off from where she was. There wasn’t much time to double check her math, so as quietly and quickly as she could used vampire speed to make her way to the classroom. It was a few doors down and lucky her on the same side of where she hid behind the lockers, staying close against the wall to keep most of her cover still.
Vampire speed helped in making sure she got into the classroom undetected, but what would be impressive if she actually found something she could protect herself with. Times like this really made her wish she didn’t steal a new phone after every meal, never remembering phone numbers really came back to bite her in the ass.
Regrets aside, she searched through the classroom, door locked and chairs pushed to barricade herself in to buy her some more time. There was no way Erica was going to let some overgrown dog with matted fur give her some ancient undead disease, and she definitely wasn’t going to let her nerdy friend be the one to do her in either.
Frantically she searched through beakers filled with odd colorful liquids and containers that had varying animal parts, a plan forming in her head as she glanced at the silver dissecting knife. Another loud howl caused her shoulders to jump, nerves becoming slightly unsteady, whatever she was thinking of doing she would need to do fast.
In the distance she could hear clawed paws running along the hallway floor, heading straight towards the chem lab. Damnit, alright, time to put this plan into action and hope she doesn’t accidentally kill him in the process.
She took a pig’s heart out of one the containers, it was still slightly damp but tough enough that it was hard to squeeze, most of the chemicals left out would only leave burn scars so not too helpful against a friend. Although, she kept the fact they were there in the back of her mind, just in case. She grabbed the dissecting knife, slim and silver and her best bet at the moment. Erica hid behind a few desks as Ethan’s beastly form banged against the door, trying his hardest to get in, growling all the while. The walls shook from the sheer force of his body slamming repeatedly into the wall.
Erica hoped he was making enough noise that others would hear it and come to help, anything to get her out of this stupid mess that she totally shouldn’t even be a part of. It was Benny’s dumb spell! It should be Benny’s problem! Her and Sarah could be out right now, having a late night snack but no, she was at school after dark being hunted by the dorkiest werewolf ever. Granted, she didn’t want to admit that Ethan was powerful and large and way too threatening for being such a small teen boy.
How could someone who thought Star Track the third gen was the best version of Star Track be this dangerous?  Ugh, totally lame. Erica rolled her eyes at the idea and forced back on not dying.
Keeping the knife in hand she stabbed the pig’s heart a few times until it leaked gross clear fluids and threw it to the opposite side of the room, her plan mostly ready by the time Ethan finally broke through the door and tossed the chairs out of his way. Most went flying, banging against the walls and falling to the floor with a loud clatter.
Seriously, Erica was going to be pissed if no one heard all this.
The beast sniffed through the classroom, either catching onto the smell of Erica or hopefully the pig’s heart that laid far away enough that she could make her next moves. After hearing the clash of more chairs and tables being knocked over, the sound of chewing was the signal Erica needed to stand from her hiding place. Ethan’s large form faced away and hunched over as he attempted to rip apart the animal heart, it was old and rubbery distracting him along for Erica to quickly speed over and run the small silver knife through his upper back.
Ethan let out a pained howl, dropping the heart and slouching over. Erica didn’t want to say it but she felt bad for stabbing her friend in the back, literally. The knife hadn’t gone in very deep and if it had been anything but silver it wouldn’t have hurt in the slightest, no worse than a paper cut to a beast this big, but then again he wasn’t really a beast all.
She yanked the knife out from his left shoulder, small drips of dark blood oozing out slowly and she attempted to catch him before he crashed harshly onto the floor, her vampire strength the only thing keeping her from falling over with him.
Gently laying him down, Erica watched as the hair and claws retracted back to skin and nails, Ethan’s human face beginning to peek through as it morphed back to normal. She let out a deep sign and slouched onto the floor next to him, tired and sweaty from having to be overly careful from not getting torn to bits for the past two hours. Ethan wasn’t a real werewolf, the spell could be undone by a bit of silver striking through his skin. No one really wanted to stab their friend so Benny looked for a different spell to fix the problem, but Erica didn’t trust it would really work. A knife to the back wouldn’t hurt forever and the scare would at least be small, she reasoned.
No one could be too upset at her, Ethan would be fine now. Probably. She glanced back at him, his breathing shallow as he laid unconscious. He’s alive at least. Although his face was sickly pale and sweat was beginning to form on his face, he looked more like he was breaking a fever than being cured of a curse.
“You and that other nerd are way too much trouble for being human,” she spoke out loud to herself. “And I’m still pissed you crashed my Friday night so you better get up now before I beat you awake.” She was mostly joking, she wouldn’t hit him too hard, just good enough to jolt him awake.
Standing up she used her foot to poke at his body, it was limp and moved easily. At first she lightly nudged him until she got fed up with waiting and pushed harder, a kick or two towards his arms would probably force him up. It didn’t.
“Ugh, seriously? I’m not carrying you and you better not die either.” Without totally meaning to, she kicked too quick and harshly at his lower chest which caused him to start coughing. “Finally. It’s about time.” Erica rolled her eyes but watched to make sure he wasn’t coughing up blood either, a ping of worry developing in her chest that she might have over done it and hit him too hard.
He couched for a few seconds longer, dry heaving before sitting up right completely trying to catch his breath. Ethan held his chest and let in an awkward deep inhale that made a funny noise in the back of his throat. “If you’re going to die can you at least do it in a less gross way? You’re getting spit on my new boots.”
“You kicked me in the chest!” Ethan tried to shout but it came too hoarse. He cleared his throat and tried again. “Why the hell would you kick me when I’m unconscious?”
“Well, if you had woken up properly the first time I kicked you, I wouldn’t have had to do it four more times.” Erica shot back, although it might have been a little of an exaggeration. She didn’t totally mean to kick that hard.
Ethan laid back down, his right arm lazily thrown over his face to shield his eyes despite there being barely any light in the room. “You’re crazy.” he mumbled.
Erica scoffed. “Is that any way to talk to someone who saved your life?” She said, sitting across from him on the floor, too tired to keep standing. The others would find them soon enough anyways, no point in going anywhere now.
They stayed silent for a few moments, there was nothing left to say, at least Erica thought there wasn’t anything to say. In a nervous voice Ethan asked her softly, “I didn’t hurt anyone, right? The blood isn’t from a person?”
Erica could feel the fear and worry in his question, Sarah had once asked her something similar. She was always afraid of killing someone and luckily she never did. Erica didn’t know if she could say the same for herself, some nights were a blur.
“No,” she answered honestly. “It’s animal blood or your own. So don’t worry about it.” She looked away from him. She shouldn’t care about some nerdy human, but weirder things have happened to her. Maybe it’s because he was like Sarah in a lot of ways that Erica felt she could get along easier with him than she did the others who were too loud and active for her tastes.
“You might want to get your stomach pumped through. Hell knows how old that pig’s heart was.” She added to try to break the tension.
“I think I’m going be sick,” he rolled over on his side. “Everything hurts.”
Ethan let out a deep breath, relief visibly washing over him from not having killed anyone. Erica could sense the way his muscles finally relaxed. “And the others?” He asked, suddenly anxious again.
“Somewhere around here. They'll be here soon. Sarah can patch you up. So just take it easy there, Fido.” She kept him from standing up and pushing his body any further. “They’re all okay. Just sit down before you hurt yourself some more, dumbass.”
Slowly he sat back down, a moment went by before he spoke again. “Uh, thanks. For stabbing me, I guess. I didn’t hurt you either, right?” He kept his eyes locked on the wall not wanting to make eye contact. She smiled knowing he wouldn’t catch it.
“Like you could lay a claw on me,” she joked. “The only thing you hurt was my plans for tonight so you owe me one.”
“Yeah? Like what?” Ethan asked, an eyebrow raised.
“Come see the next Dusk movie with me and Sarah.”
They kept from looking at each other but knew they were both smiling. Maybe Sarah was onto something by making friends with him.
“Alright, deal.”

Hanahaki Disease
A/N: For my free space I choose Hanahaki Disease(unrequited/undeclared love makes you grow flowers in your lungs)!
Jackson coughed up yellow roses. If that wasn't bad enough, he had started by coughing up petals. Now it was full flowers and it was painful, and Jackson could feel every thorn the roses had. Jackson would never have told Hayley, but she saw him cough one up. "Jackson, we need to get you to Fraya."
"Hayley, I already know what it is. There is no cure." Jackson said
"Jackson, don't say that." Hayley said, desperate to hold on to him.
Jackson didn't want to burden her with this. He looked deep into her eyes and knew she wouldn't let it go until she knew exactly what it was. He hated what he was about to do to her, but he had to do it. "Hayley, it is Hanahaki Disease. You just cough up flowers until they rip your lungs apart."
"If you have a name there has to be a cure." Hayley pleaded.
"You only get it if you have unrequited love. The cure is for the person to return your love." Jackson deflated.
Hayley stared at him for a bit. It took a bit for her to piece it together. A horrified look came across her face. "My grandmother says it would've killed me now if I wasn't a werewolf." Jackson tried to joke.
"I promise I will find a cure." Hayley promised, but Jackson knew she would be unsuccessful.
A few days later, Hayley went to visit Mary. "How do we save Jackson?" She asked, skipping straight to the meat of the conversation.
"The real question is how do we make you fall out of love with Elijah and make you fall in love with Jackson." Mary sighed
A light-bulb went off for Hayley. "We just remove my past memories of Elijah, and I fall in love with Jackson. After I am in love with Jackson, I can remeet Elijah. As long as I inform the Mikealsons, they should make the adjustments. Luckily Hope is young enough to not notice everything."
"Do you think Elijah or Klaus are going to let you do this?" Mary asked, very concerned.
"I am not asking them. I refuse to let my husband die." Hayley stated
It tore Elijah apart, but he agreed. He would have agreed to anything Hayley asked. Especially when she was determined and despite. Klaus hated the idea, but knew this would be the only way to make sure the crescent wolves stayed on his side. Jackson tried to argue against it but he coughed up a flower in the middle of his words. Daviana leapt on the opportunity to cause pain to the original vampires, without ramifications. Daviana was very careful to only remove Elijah.
Elijah could not bear to be in New Orleans when Hayley got her memories erased. He would not come back for a month later. Marcel had called Elijah to tell him when Hayley was in love with Jackson. Marcel apologized, and Elijah almost believed him. Elijah returned home still loving Hayley. He would remeet Hayley as soon as he arrived home. “Hey. I am Hayley, Hope’s mother.” she introduced herself and offered her hand.
“I am Elijah, Klaus’s brother.” He hoped his heart would stay in one piece, and took her hand.
Everyone could feel the spark between them. Elijah was convinced that summoned Jackson to her side. Hayley dropped his hand like they had been caught. “Jackson, this is Elijah.” Hayley introduced them.
“Jackson, I hope you stay in good health.” Elijah asked, hoping that his sacrifice would not be in vain.
“I will.” Jackson bristled a bit.
“I am glad. Hope needs a level headed father, and Klaus would not be it.” Elijah tried to offer friendship.
Jackson gave Elijah a little nod, and accepted the friendship offer. “We have to go, but I guess we will start seeing you around.” Hayley said.
“Yes, you will.” Elijah responded.
Elijah watched the two of them walk away. Once Jackson grabbed Hayley’s hand, Elijah started to cough. He turned away from the couple leaving. He kept coughing until he coughed up a few red rose petals.

song prompt Klaroline back to you by Selena Gomez
Unfinished Business
One day, that’s all it was supposed to be. Klaus wouldn’t delude himself into believing that she could be his, not when he’s had to steal every moment or small affection from her. But he saw an opportunity and he took it, knowing full well that it might be his last. Even if he never laid eyes on Caroline Forbes again, he would always have that one day to remember fondly - no matter what New Orleans held for him.
Mystic Falls, however, never quite learned how to let him go.
Every so often, the past would blow through town and ruin his day. Damon needed a werewolf bite cured, then Bonnie would rifle through his vast collection of grimoires for some spell or another. Worst was the Huntress debacle with an ungrateful Stefan, though he spared nothing of his derision for the young vampire’s priorities.
The city had its fair share of distractions as well, and he hardly lacked for companionship. But there were days he hid in his studio, lost in the details of a face he urged his all too human heart to forget. He wasn’t human, not for a long, long while. How ridiculous for the Original hybrid to pine after a baby vampire he barely knew.
Still, a part of Klaus wondered how often she thought of him, knowing that they understood each other on a deeper level than their brief interlude might suggest. In rare, unguarded moments, he imagined any number of scenarios that might lead her to his doorstep as he once offered.
It would always be open to her - of that, he was certain.
Of course, Caroline lived to exceed expectations. She didn’t settle for a knock on his door or a casual run-in at the bars he liked to frequent. So often, he hoped to meet her eye across a room, like he’d known she was there all along. No, no, Klaus wasn’t merely surprised when she did make her presence known in New Orleans; he was floored. “Sweetheart?”
She poked her head out of the armoire, where she’d been comparing two of his finer suits. “Have I seen you in blue?” she asked, like she hadn’t infiltrated a very dangerous man’s bedroom. Like she belonged there. Shrugging, she hung the grey suit back in its place. “I prefer the blue,” she decided, already zipping it into a hanging bag and placing it next to more of his luggage. “Can you spare two weeks from whatever trouble you’re causing here?”
A smirk pulling at his lips, Klaus just leaned in the doorway, his hands in his pockets as he watched her organize a suitcase filled with his clothes. “Awfully presumptuous of you, love. Maybe I wanted to be the one to whisk you away.”
“Sorry,” Caroline said, completely unapologetic. Closing the suitcase, she sat on his bed, pushing herself back to recline a bit. “I got caught up in planning and didn’t want to risk you clashing with my aesthetic. I’m thinking a mountain cabin. You have to have a few.”
He slowly moved toward her, kneeling on the bed and all but crawling over her. She merely grinned up at him as she lay back, then sighing when he let his weight ease onto her center. “And the suit?” he asked, enjoying the way her eyes fell to his lips.
“I like to be prepared.” Her hands slid up his back until one landed in his hair, nails scratching lightly at his scalp. “Are you ready for me, Klaus?”
Aren’t I always, he thought wryly as he let her pull him into a kiss, soft and lingering despite how heavily it sank through his bones. A thousand years walking the earth, yet he knew a part of him would always, always go back to her.

Stereotypes
Natasha x reader x Bucky
The three of you definitely had stereotypes that most people believed about you. Vampires were creatures that shield away from bright, peppy, people and were enemies with werewolves. Fae were tiny men and women who got drunk on cream and were always happy. Werewolves hated vampires, were blood thirsty killers and could turn into a dog whenever they wanted.
While not all of these were true, the three of you did fall into some of these categories. Natasha really was more of a grumpy character, you could be quite peppy, and Bucky did enjoy turning into a large dog more often than not.
But that doesn’t mean that the three of you were your stereotypes. Just because Natasha could be grumpy, doesn’t mean she wasn’t the softest person to exist, just because you were peppy, doesn’t mean you didn’t have dark days, and just because Bucky turned into a wolf doesn’t mean he was bloodthirsty.
You are more than the stereotype.
“Come back to sleep bed, lynbovnik.” Natasha cooed, reaching out to grab Bucky’s hand. Bucky huffed slightly and turned around to give her a soft smile. You and Natasha were wrapped around each other watching him intently, you albeit sleepily.
“Doll, I promised I’d go for a run with Steve and Sam this morning. Just like the I promised to go yesterday, and I canceled then, I can’t cancel this morning.” He said, kissing her hand lightly. “I promise I’ll be back soon.”
“You do know you two are torturing Sam, right?” You asked, raising an eyebrow at the man. “He can’t keep up with Stevie and don’t act like you don’t cheat.” You added, smirking as he tried to look innocently.
“It’s not cheating.” He argued, leaning down to kiss you on the brow. “It’s just using an advantage I have.”
“If you’re going to cheat, you might as well just come back to bed.” Natasha said, smiling coyly.
“Nice try.” Bucky smiled, kissing you both before moving over to the door. “I’ll be back soon.” He promised, waving to you both before leaving the room. Natasha rolled her eyes before curling further into you and burying her face in your chest.
“Good morning to you too.” You chirped, running your finger through her short red curls. “Someone’s affectionate today.”
“You smell good.” She murmured, raising her head slightly. “So does Buck.”
“I’ll ignore the creepy factor to that.” You smiled. “When was the last time you fed darling?” You asked, pushing back her hair to look at her eyes.
“Couple days ago.” Natasha shrugged. “I’m still fine for a while.” She said, raising herself up further, until she was straddling you. “What do you say, we call in sick today and when Buck gets back just all stay in bed?”
“We don’t get sick.” You laughed, a tinkly sound you’d been told. “Everyone knows that. They wouldn’t believe it for a second.”
“They could.” She mused, kissing you on the neck. “I could tell them you were infected with something life threatening and the only cure is to stay in bed and cuddle all day.” She continued, looking at you with a smile. “I think they’d buy that.”
“You know you try to pull that, and we’ll have Clint and Steve and Tony, badgering us all day. We wouldn’t get a moment’s peace.”
“A girl can dream.” Natasha said, laying her head back on your chest as you wrapped your arms around her. The two of you whispered plans for the day to each other and shared gentle kisses, for a long time, never moving from your position, and that was exactly how Bucky found you when he came back.
“I see you two have been productive.” He commented, leaning against the door frame with a smile.
“The most.” Natasha replied, lifting a hand out for Bucky. “Come back to bed, Buck.” Bucky smiled as he came back over to bed. He laid down and pulled you both onto his chest.
“You two do know we have to get up soon, right?” Bucky mentioned, kissing you both on the head.
“No, we don’t.” Natasha said, shaking her head with a smile. “Didn’t you hear? Y/N has a life-threatening illness and the only way we can cure it is by cuddling all day.” She added, taking your hand in hers.
“Y/N is sick? Well, that changes everything, we’ll have to cancel everything today and make sure she gets better.” Bucky said, settling back in bed with the two of you.
“Bucky, no! Tony, why are you encouraging this?” Natasha sighed, exasperatedly. You and Steve shared a look before entering the main living room. Natasha was glaring at a meek looking Tony and Sam, Tony in his iron man suit and Sam wearing his wings pack, while Bucky watched the interaction in wolf form.
“You two are supposed to be grown men.” She continued, pointing at Tony and Sam. “Why can’t you ever act like it?”
“Why aren’t you yelling at Bucky?” Tony whined, pointing to the dark-furred wolf. “He joined in too. It might as well have been his idea.”
“He is currently a wolf, Stark.” She sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “When I want to feel crazy, I will yell at him.”
“Is it safe to ask what the hell is happening?” You asked, watching the scene in amusement.
“Ask these two children.” She exclaimed, throwing her hands into the air. Moving away from the two men, and wolf, she pressed a kiss to your lips before stalking out of the room muttering about needing a drink.
“Okay, what did you two do to Nat?” Steve asked, shaking his head as he moved to the two. You moved over and sat on the floor and greeted Bucky.
“Why does everyone assume it’s us?” Sam whined. “What if Bucky started it? Or, what if Natasha just went crazy and started yelling at us for no reason?” both you and Steve said nothing, only stared at the two. “Okay fine, it was us.” Sam relented.
“What did you do?” You asked, standing up. Tony and Sam looked at each, waiting for the other to admit what they’d done.
“We might have got a Frisbee.” Tony admitted, causing you and Steve to groan.
“Oh Gods.” You groaned, holding you hand over your eyes.
“And we might have started playing in here, with Bucky.” He continued, rubbing the back of his neck. “And then we decided to up the ante and we got suited up and Bucky shifted.”
“What did you break? Who did you break?” Steve questioned, looking between the three.
“Only a table.” Sam insisted. “And then Nat came in and started yelling about wearing our suits inside, and throwing things inside, and treating Bucky like a dog when he’s not a dog.”
“But to be fair he was acting like a puppy. Like an excitable puppy.” Tony continued.
“Give me the Frisbee.” You demanded, holding your hand out. Tony sheepishly handed it over to you. “So, you were playing fetch with Bucky.” You stated an the two nodded. “And you did he enjoy it?”
“It seemed like he did.” Tony said as Sam nodded.
“And you two didn’t invite me, for shame boys.” You said before showing Bucky the Frisbee. “You want to play Buck?”
Bucky let out a happy bark and started jumping around your legs.
“Y/N, Nat isn’t going to like this.” Steve tried to warn.
“I can handle Nat. Come on, Buck, catch.” You said before throwing the Frisbee to Sam. Sam caught it with wide eyes before smirking.
“Catch Tony.” He said, throwing it to the iron man. Soon a full game of Frisbee broke out complete with everyone using their suits/powers.
Both Sam and you were flying and took great pleasure in stealing the disk whenever you wanted. Steve used his superior speed to keep the Frisbee from everyone and Tony did a little bit of everything.
Meanwhile, Bucky barked happily and ran around enjoying what was happening around him, acting much more like a puppy than a werewolf.
“Get it!” Steve said to Bucky, pointing at you. Bucky raced forward and grabbed the Frisbee out of your hands and flung it towards Steve. Bucky than give you a wolfy smile before tackling you to the ground.
“Aah, Bucky no!” You complained trying to get away from the man/wolf. Bucky licked a long stripe on your cheek causing you to groan and everyone else to laugh.
“I leave you alone for ten minutes.” Natasha said from the doorway. Everyone stopped at the sound of red head and turned to face her. “I thought we established no Frisbee indoors and that Bucky is not a dog.”
Bucky climbed off you and shifted back. “Nat, it’s just for fun.” He said, moving over and pulling her into his arms. “Come join us for a while, doll. You’ll see it’s fine.” He added, running his hands down his arms.
Natasha didn’t say anything for a minute, just looked at the five of you. “Fine.” She sighed, placing her drink on a side table. “But the second someone breaks something we stop, deal?” She bargained.
The five of you agreed to her terms and she helped you up as Bucky shifted back to wolf form.
“Now that we’ve got that out of the way,” She started before stealing the Frisbee out of Steve’s hands. “Catch Y/N.”
The six of you continued your game of Frisbee, or really keep away, for a long time. All of you enjoying the feeling of not having to hide and being able to use your abilities/suits comfortably.
You’d barely left the bedroom all day. You couldn’t find the energy or the will to want to move. You’d had to cancel all your plans for the day but didn’t find yourself feeling guilty over cancelling.
It had been a little over two years since you’d been banished from your home realm. For wanting to help humans and not fitting the mold of your people, they kicked you out of the realm and onto earth.
Realistically you knew things worked out well. You’d ended up joining a team of people who also enjoyed helping people and the world, you’d gained a new fantastic family and you were in love with two of this planet’s best people.
But it still hurt. Your birth family had abandoned you and banished you from your own home, because you weren’t what they wanted you to be. You couldn’t find the energy to want to be okay today, so you didn’t.
You stayed in bed. Natasha and Bucky knew that their words, while soothing, weren’t going to help with how you felt. You’d slept for most of the day, Nat waking you up to force you to eat something, but otherwise you were left alone.
“Dorogoy, wake up.” Natasha cooed, gently shaking your shoulder. You groaned and attempted roll away from the woman only to bump into Bucky.
“No.” You moaned, burying your face into the pillow. “Let me sleep.”
“Please, baby doll, just open your eyes for us.” Bucky murmured into your ear, letting out a sigh you rolled over, opened one eye and peaked at the two. They both looked incredibly suspicious.
“What are you two up to?” You asked, raising an eyebrow at the two.
“You’ll find out.” Natasha said cryptically, grabbing your hand. “Come on, dorogoy. You’re going to want to get up for this.” She continued, pulling you into a sitting position.
“Are you sure?” You asked, allowing yourself to be pulled up. “Because right I just want to sleep.”
“Positive. You’re going to want to see this.” Bucky promised, helping you out of bed. “This is a surprise, so we’re going to need you to close your eyes so we can get you changed.”
“Guys I appreciate the effort, but if this surprise has anything to do with sex, I’m just not in the mood. I’m sorry.” You apologized, glancing between the two.
“This surprise has nothing to do with sex.” Natasha swore, taking your face in her hands. “It is solely to cheer you up, and if you see how we dress then you’ll guess what it is. So, we just need you to close your eyes for us, okay?”
“Okay.” You agreed, closing your eyes. The two quickly undressed and re-dressed you, before sitting you on the bed and changing themselves.
“Alright, baby doll, I’m going to lead you now.” Bucky said, leading you by hand. He led you forward and from the ding you could tell you were in the elevator. When the elevator stopped Bucky led you out and continued to walk you forward. After a car ride and some more walking the three of you finally stopped.
“Am I allowed to know where I am now?” You asked, eyes still closed. Natasha and Bucky chuckled lightly at the slight whine in your voice. They knew you hated surprises.
“Open your eyes, dorogoy.” Complying you opened your eyes and were stunned at the sight that was before you. You were standing in the middle of a forest decorated with twinkling lights, blankets and pillows covered the forest floor with a low moss-covered table set with food and wine.
The air was thick with the rich scent of flowers and the woods themselves. The sounds of a running creak and the wind dancing though the trees echoed throughout the forest.  Looking down Natasha and Bucky had dressed you in the short, flowing, backless, dress you’d arrived on Earth in.
Looking at Bucky and Natasha with tears in your eyes, you noticed they’d dressed in a similar style as you. Natasha wearing an almost matching dress and Bucky was wearing a long sleeve red shirt and black pants.
Running over to the two you quickly pulled them both into your arms. “I love this.” You whispered, tears slipping down your cheeks. “It reminds me of my old home.”
“We thought you’d like it.” Bucky murmured, pulling back to wipe the tears off your cheeks.
“Are these good tears?” Natasha asked, looking slightly concerned.
“The best.” You smiled, letting out a little laugh as you wiped your tears away. “Thank you for this. I love you both so, so, much.”
“We love you, doll.” Bucky replied, kissing you chastely.
“Love you too, nasha malen’kaya feya.” Natasha murmured, repeating Bucky’s actions.
“Now come, I want you to show me everything.” You chirped, pulling away from the two and running closer to their surprise. The two smiled watching as you flittered around the forest talking to the trees an animals.
You were back.
The three of you were more than the stereotype.

If I Die Before I Wake: Chapter Four
Vengeance is defined as punishment or retribution for a wrong committed against another. A single curse could derail and weaken the most powerful being in the world. A single massacre could take the entire world in one go; but it could centuries to execute the perfect vengeance.
Chapter Four:
Mystic Falls April 2010
A new day dawned and the town went on how it normally did; with the exception of the few inhabitants. Bonnie was practically glued to Freya's side, training as though her life depended on it. She had a realization that the only way out of this mess was to listen to Freya and wake Klaus's wife. So she played along, staying at the Boarding House and meeting with Freya until the sun set.
Damon vanished the moment Freya's spell let him drop to the ground. Everyone assumed that he was trying to find some scheme to save Elena, who Freya assured Bonnie was perfectly fine. Stefan remained in his room, sorting through his emotions. He replayed every memory from the twenties in his mind. The love he felt for Rebekah returned with a force but that didn't stop his heart from loving Elena. Part of him wanted to rescue Elena while the other wanted to run to Rebekah and see her for the first time in ninety years. Incapable of deciding what was right, he decided to wait it out. Holding out that Elena was safe and well.
It was the Original family that seemed to have the most productive of times. Finn fled the moment he realized nearly nine hundred years had passed since he had a dagger in his chest. He spent an evening with Freya, whom he was close to before their aunt stole her away, and then vanished. Everyone assumed he went to search for Sage. It was actually Klaus who was the least angry at him for the abandonment, simply stating that he understood. That and the fact that Finn was dull played a part as well. Rebekah spent time alone mostly, avoiding the doppelganger and Marcel; pondering what she needed to do about Stefan. Kol poured over the spell to ensure that Freya's way be better than the plan that got him daggered in 1914. Besides Freya, it was Kol that knew the most about witchcraft seeing that he inherited his mother's abilities before he was turned. Elijah just kept Klaus from losing his patience and massacring the town because he couldn't wait till the full moon. Which is how he found himself trailing his brother through the woods of Mystic Falls.
“Where exactly are we going Niklaus?” Elijah asked, annoyed that dirt was getting on his expensive loafers. Klaus didn't answer him but kept moving. He would stop, listen and then head towards another direction. Soon, Elijah realized where he was going. “Really? Is this necessary?” When Klaus didn't answer, the older brother sighed. “Alright. If this is how you're going to release some tension for the next few days, at least allow me to enter first.”
“Want to say your goodbyes brother?” Klaus asked with a devilish smirk. “You do realize that she isn't Tatia. They may look identical but they are not the same person.” They rarely spoke of Tatia; not even when they were human; except for once. Klaus knew his brother had loved her even though she was in bed with both of them. Klaus took a step back, told Elijah to never speak of her again to him and moved on. “You never saw Katerina when you looked at her.”
“I know, but I still need closer.”
“Very well but do hurry. I'm getting impatient.” Klaus waved Elijah onwards and the older to the two jumped into the cavity that was the tomb. When Elijah landed, he realized that Katherine was not alone. There was someone else standing outside the tomb.
“May I inquire who you are?”
“Whose asking?”
“Damon, meet Elijah. Klaus's brother.” A hoarse voice sounded from inside the tomb and Elijah could see Katerina's weakened state. She was in a tight black dress and her feet were bare. He could see the dark circles under her eyes and she slow process of desecration began. “Hello lover.”
“Wait. Lover? Don't tell me that you're in bed with the big bad wolf's brother.” Damon asked, eyeing Elijah from head to toe, wondering if he would be able to beat him in a fight. Yet, Damon could feel Elijah's age rolling off of him and knew better than to pick one that he would clearly loose. Damon was reckless but not completely stupid.
“Katerina and I were involved once, many centuries ago. When she was still human.” Elijah looked directly at Katherine and held her gaze. “However, any affection I may have felt for her died the day I realized it was her that had Emily Bennett cast the spell that took away Caroline.” Elijah picked a speck of dust off of his designer suit and looked directly at Damon. “Mr. Salvator, if you're planning on breaking Katerina out of this tomb-”
“Break her out?” Damon questioned as he cut the Original off and snorted. “I want the backstabbing bitch to rot there for the next hundred and forty-five years just as I thought she had when I was turned.” Damon raged. He had no intentions of ever letting her out. “What I want to know is where your maniac of a brother is holding Elena and since that freaky ancient witch sister of yours won't say, Katherine is the best shot I have.”
“Trust me when I tell you that Elena will be returned to you unharmed once Ms. Bennett wakes Caroline. As for my, how did you eloquently put it, maniac of a brother is standing directly outside of this tomb.” Katerina stood with pure terror in her eyes. She backed away slightly.
“Elijah. Please. Don't do this.”
“You know the beauty of Klaus and Caroline is simple. You see, Klaus is a mad man. He will burn cities to the ground simply because he is bored but he is also diabolical. He plots and plays the long game. He will take risks that no one would dare take.” Elijah stepped forward and looked directly at Katherine. “Yet, it was always Caroline who ensured that Klaus's schemes came to fruition. She always was detailed oriented; a perfectionist. Tell me Katerina, how long did you search for Nadia?”
Katherine froze with pure fury on her face. It wasn't until years after she became a vampire that she ever learned her daughter's name; a name she did not give her. Never once did she set eyes upon her daughter after the day she gave birth to her. She went back and searched every village but she was no where to be found. She was gone.
“You know nothing of my daughter.”
“I know more than you would think.” Elijah moved around the tomb his eyes never leaving his former lover's. Damon watched the scene in amazed silence. “After you killed yourself in order to become a vampire, Klaus and Caroline murdered your family. Yet, Caroline did something else. Before Klaus ran this sword through your father's chest, Caroline asked him where he placed your daughter. She then went to her home and took her away to ensure that you never found her.”
“Harsh.” Damon whispered as he saw the pain on Katherine's face. It was pure agony. In truth, Damon never knew Katherine had a daughter. He never knew anything about Original vampires and werewolves; and he didn't care either. All he wanted was Elena and would do anything to get her back. If it meant waking the Queen of the Damned, then so be it.
“Doesn't matter. It has been five hundred years. Nadia would be dead by now.” Katherine replied.
“Would she?” Elijah asked. “You see, Caroline took a special interest in Nadia. Always made sure she was provided for. Ensured that she fell in love and had children. It was important to Caroline and Klaus that the Petrova lined continued because that meant that one day, another doppelganger would surface. Nadia had three children in her twenties. Then on her thirtieth birthday, Caroline turned her.” Katherine froze, digesting this information. “Nadia is a vampire, Katerina.”
“Where is she!?”
“I don't know. Only Caroline kept track of her movements just to ensure the two of you never met. It is a pity that the knowledge of her whereabouts was lost when Caroline fell.” Elijah said. Nadia's location became unimportant once the search for a spell to wake Caroline became necessary. For all Elijah knew, Nadia could have either met the sun or found herself at the wrong end of a stake. “It is poetic, is it not? The one thing you wanted most is lost to you because of your own actions.”
“Why? What was the point of turning her?”
“Leverage.” Three heads turned and saw that Klaus had entered the tomb. Damon sighed in annoyance while Elijah did nothing at all. Katherine's eyes went wide and she backed away with pure unadulterated terror echoing behind her brown eyes. “I just wanted to kill your entire family and move on but it was Caroline who knew of Nadia's existence, she ensured that your family line lived on. She also knew that having Nadia in our back pocket might be useful one day.” Klaus cocked his head.
“You can't do anything to me while I'm in here. Step through that barrier, and you'll never get out.” That was the only strand of hope Katherine had. She hated being in that tomb but it made her the safest vampire in town, or so she thought. Klaus smirked at her and stepped through the barrier as though it was nothing.
“You're right. Neither one of us can leave now. My my, how will we pass the time?” Katherine tried to flee to back of the tomb but Klaus caught her easily. He pinned her against the wall and barred his fangs. His eyes turned yellow and he bit down on Katherine's neck. She screamed loudly while both Elijah and Damon watched. Damon's lips curled in disgust while Elijah just looked bored.
“What the fuck is he?”
“My mother had an affair with a werewolf, which produced Niklaus.” Damon just looked at him. “A little of vampire, a little of werewolf.” Damon looked at Katherine again and saw that the wound on her neck was not healing. “Venom from a werewolf bite if fatal for a vampire. Luckily, Niklaus's blood is also the cure. Katerina is in for a long haul of pain.”
“Elijah, your constant chatter is ruining a perfectly good torture session. Take Salvator the elder and leave me with my shiny new toy.” Klaus narrowed his eyes and Elijah just rolled his. He cocked his finger towards Damon and indicated for him to leave the tomb. Damon hesitated, unsure if he wanted to stay and watch Katherine be tortured or find a way to get to Elena. “and be a good brother and have Freya come release me at sundown.” He turned back towards Katherine and pulled out what looked like a pocket knife. He jammed it into Katherine's gut before slicing it completely open. He inserted two of his fingers inside of her and blood flowed down her front. “You're for at least a century and a half of torture before I show mercy and end you once and for all.”
“Time to go Mr. Salvator.” Damon turned and left with Elijah. The two of the strolled through the woods at a slow pace. “You have my word that Elena will remain unharmed. If Ms. Bennett's spell works and Caroline wakes, I will personally hand her over to you myself.” Elijah stopped. “I wouldn't try looking for her. Freya spelled our location, you'll never find her.” Damon didn't believe him and wanted nothing more than to search the entirety of Mystic Falls until he found her.
“And here I thought I was bad but your brother is far more psychotic than I could ever hope to be. Is he going to leave Katherine down there and then come to visit when he feels an inch that needs scratched?” Damon smirked.
“I'm not sure what Niklaus plans for her and frankly, I don't care. She made her bed and now she must lie in it.” Damon looked at him and didn't believe him. He knew perfectly the allure Katherine had.
“You loved her.”
“I loved the idea of her.”
“You and me both.” Damon replied as Katherine's screams echoed through the trees.
*
The first two days Elena remained in the room Klaus had placed her in. Elijah told her she could roam the house as long as she didn't try and leave. If she attempted to leave, she would be stopped. Of course, she had to try. She couldn't just walk through the front door and she knew that her room was on the second floor. She opened the window and attempted to climb down but was physically unable to. It was as though there was an invisible barrier preventing her from stepping outside at all.
So, she did the only thing she could do; she watched tv and when that got boring, she decided to take Elijah's advice and explore the house. It could be useful later. She only hoped that she didn't run into Rebekah or any of the others. She was still baffled at Rebekah's reaction to her and how it pertained to Stefan. She could only believe that it had to do with whatever Klaus had done to Stefan back at the Boarding House.
Elena strolled along the hallways. There were parts of the house that were not completed. Construction workers milled about but none of them paid her mind. It was as though they couldn't see her. She screamed and asked for help but none of them moved.
“They can't hear you.” Elena turned and saw Rebekah glaring at her with her arms crossed. “They've been compelled to completely ignore your existence. Lucky for them. If I only had that bliss. Unfortunately I am your jailer while Elijah and Nik are off doing who knows what.” Rebekah scowled at her and turned away from her. “Stay out of my hair and don't get yourself killed. If you do, just remember you have Elijah's blood in your system and that I can rip your heart from you chest.” With that Rebekah turned and left Elena standing in the middle of a half finished room.
Elena decided it would be best not to go in the same direction because she wouldn't put it past Rebekah to kill her despite what her brothers wanted. Instead, she continued to open doors and see what parts of the house she could. Eventually found a kitchen that was fully finished. She opened the fridge and only found blood bags. She scowled. She looked around and saw a door to left of a table. Elena reached for the knob and turned to reveal a set of stairs. She reached for a light switch and turned it on.
It was a basement and Elena felt the hair on the back of her head stand up. Something was down there and every part of Elena told her to turn and run. Yet, she stepped forward and slowly made her way down the stairs. The basement floor was dirt and the walls were nothing but stone. An illuminated lightbulb hung from the ceiling and swayed ever so slightly. Elena could see three coffins on the ground there were open.
“Cliche much?” Elena muttered and her eyes turned to the two coffins that were still on wheels. They were closed. She reached for the first one and attempted to open it but it wouldn't budge. It was as though it was sealed shut and nothing would be able pull it open.
“Trust me love, you don't want to open that. My mother is in there and unless you wanted to see nothing but pure evil, I suggest you leave that one shut” Elena turned and saw that Klaus was standing at the bottom of the stairs. She didn't hear him come down or knew that he had arrived back at the manor. He was covered from head to toe in blood and had a look of pure joy upon his features. “Don't worry, it may be doppelganger blood but be pleased that it isn't your's.”
“Katherine? Is she-”
“Dead? No. She has many more years of torture in her future before I show her mercy and let her die from a werewolf bite.” Klaus seemed almost merry at the thought. He chuckled and Elena could tell that he was enjoying watching her suffer. Elena almost felt sorry for her. Almost. “Open that one.” Klaus pointed towards the other coffin. Elena hesitated. “Go on.”
Elena walked around the coffin and towards the other one. Her heart was beating wildly in her chest and she could feel Klaus's eyes on her. She reached for the coffin and unlike the other one, it opened easily. Inside laid a beautiful woman with long pale blonde hair. Her skin was milky and pale. Her eyes were closed and she wore a white pantaloons with a matching corset.
“This is your wife.” Elena whispered. “She is beautiful.” In truth, she hadn't given much thought to what Caroline would look like or anything about her. She was so focused on her safety and what Klaus could possibly want from her; the reason why he was coming to Mystic Falls didn't really phase her. Yet, here was Caroline; lifeless and still.
Suddenly, Klaus was beside her, looking down at the sleeping woman. He reached out and with a bloody hand, moved a strand of her hair from her face. The look he gave her was nothing Elena had ever seen. Beneath the tormented eyes and blood stained skin, she could see real emotion there. There was depth that lingered and Elena could honestly say that Stefan never looked at her in such a manner. Caroline wasn't just a mysterious fairytale, she was real and she was everything to Klaus. Elena realized in that moment that Klaus would burn the world to the ground if Bonnie didn't succeed.
“Have you felt something deep inside of you that it clung to you and refused to let go? Like fire in your veins? A simple touch was like electric. A touch that stopped the entire world and nothing else mattered?” Elena froze and Damon's blue eyes flashed in her mind. She shut down those emotions but said nothing. Klaus chuckled. “I see you have. Tell me, is it the Rippah that sets you on fire?”
“Why do you call him that?”
“Because that is what Stefan is. Deep down. He rips and destroys everything he touches. It was a beauty to watch.” He seemed wistful. “He is young. Very young. I killed as a young vampire as we all do. You feel your victims pain and the guilt will eat you alive. Eventually, it stops eating at you and they just become another name on a long list. Some you will remember, others you won't.”
“Is that what you did to him back at the boarding house? Made him remember his victims?” That caused Klaus to chuckle deeply.
“No. Something far more painful.”
“You're a monster.” Elena hissed.
“Yes, love. I am.” Klaus replied relishing in it. “And Stefan will be as well once he gets over the conscience that caused that guilt to eat away at him. Frankly, I cannot wait to see him reach his full potential.” The smirk that was perched on his lips was sinister. Elena backed away slowly.
“He'll never turn it off.”
“Neither have I. Not once in a thousand years.” Klaus hissed at her. His eyes ranked over her and he remembered who she was. The annoyance he felt whenever Katherine was in his line of sight bubbled at the surface. That face and everything it represented tore at his soul, even though it was someone different staring out of the same pair of eyes. Elena saw it; the change and flash from one mood to the next. Gone was the joyful expression he had after bathing in Katherine's blood and back was the monster she met at the Boarding House. “Get out.” Elena didn't move but instead remained frozen in her spot. “Get out now before I coat myself in more doppelganger blood!” Klaus screamed at her and Elena turned and fled up the stairs, tripping as she went.

Cleveland, Ohio August 1964
Klaus stood the small studio apartment he compelled for himself and looked at the blank canvas. There was an itch under his skin and he needed to get it out. Never had he had a block before. Yet it felt that he was unable to paint anything. Art was always an outlet for him but nothing came to him anymore. He had no muse and no inspiration. He needed to get something out but nothing was coming to him. Nothing held any meaning.
It was like his entire being suffocated and died. He hadn't left his studio in at least a year, maybe two; not even to feed. He could feel the thirst eating away at him and he saw the grey tint to his skin beginning to appear as his body dried out. The old Klaus never would have allowed him to go this long without feeding; now he just didn't care. His humanity was still there but he just felt nothing in exchange. The pain was so deep and engrained in him now that he became numb.
Klaus picked up his paintbrush, dipped into jet black paint and began. Stroke after stroke he painted in no particular order. Hours past and the sun set but he just kept putting that black color onto the canvas. Eventually he put down the brush and looked down at his hands, they were covered in black. His eyes traveled to the canvas and he saw nothing but darkness.
“I get it. It's a mirror to your soul.” A voice sounded from behind Klaus, causing a flicker of a smile to reach his lips. He turned and saw his son standing before him. His skin was ever the same darkness and he wore typical clothing of the time; dark pants with a white button down and a black tie. He was handsome and he looked well. “It's good to see you Klaus.”
“Why are you here Marcel?” His voice croaked. He hadn't used it in however long; he didn't know. He knew the year and what day it was; that was unavoidable but that didn't mean that he spoke to a living soul. “Shouldn't you be running my city and keep it from burning to the ground?”
“New Orleans is in good hands.”
“Then why are you here?”
“Maybe because someone hasn't answered the phone in a decade. I brought you something.” Marcel stated. He pushed off the door frame, reached behind him and tossed a young woman to the ground. She had red hair, pale skin and brown eyes; nothing like Caroline. Klaus found that he could be in the deepest of starvation and yet he still could not kill a blonde woman or anyone who looked remotely like her. The woman didn't move and it was clear that Marcel had compelled her. “You need to feed. You're looking a bit grey.”
At first he didn't move but the blood hit him and the monster took over. He was an original but even he can't hold off the smell of blood after years of starvation. He dived and sank his teeth into the neck of the woman. She didn't scream or flinch but Klaus didn't care. All that mattered was the sweet blood that was coursing through his body. When the woman was completely drained, he tossed her to the floor and stood; looking at Marcel.
“Your color is coming back.” Marcel commented. “It's been ten years Klaus. You stopped answer my calls, Freya's calls. You haven't spoken to Elijah in how long? Since the twenties? Klaus, I know its a new invention but the telephone was invented with a purpose. When you hear it ring, you answer it.”
“Perhaps the insistent ringing caused me to smash it to bits before I attempted to hang myself with its cord.” Klaus snapped. “But alas, I'm immortal and all the cord would do is make my neck itchy.” He began to turn around to clean up his paints, stepping over the dead body. “If you're here, where is Caroline?”
“Still in New Orleans behind the massive amount spells and enchantments that have been in place for years.”
“Kol and Rebekah?”
“Still daggered.” Marcel watched him. “So this is your plan? Hold yourself up in this studio until you desiccate? What happened the man who stopped my master whipping me? What happened to the man that leveled cities because someone simply looked at my mother wrong?”
“He died in 1864.” Klaus replied, focusing now on the completely black canvas. “It's been a century. A century without her. I can't-” He could feel himself breaking. His back was rigid and it was close to initialing the whole of Ohio. His fist balled and he punched the wall, over and over. His knuckles began to bleed but due to the fresh blood in his system, they healed quickly. Marcel placed a hand on his shoulder.
“That first night that you and Caroline took me in, she cleaned the wounds on my back. She sang to me and told me that no one was going to hurt me again. No one has. She became more of a mother to me than the woman who refused to name me. You became more of a father than the slave owner who whipped me. I will protect her until the end of time, this I promise you. I will hold your city until you're ready to take it back but I need to you continue to live. Caroline needs you to continue to live.”
Klaus said nothing but Marcel could see that he was getting through to him. The older vampire turned and pulled Marcel into a deep hug. Klaus clung to him and Marcel let him hold him for as long as he needed.
“Give me time.”
“Okay.” Marcel pulled away. He looked deeply at his sire. “I talk to her you know. Almost everyday. I will sit beside her and tell her about New Orleans. About how the times have changed. Anything that comes to mind really. She was always one to listen and always knew the right thing to say. It makes me feel as though she is still here. Perhaps, when you are able to come back, you'll talk to her too.”
“I speak to her everyday. I see her too.” Klaus whispered and Marcel was taken aback. He looked at the man and wondered how far his depression really went. He had never seen Klaus this low before. He lost it when Caroline first fell. He tore New Orleans apart and nearly burned it to the ground. He hunted and found every witch he could to break the spell; but this was different. This was not the Klaus he knew.
“Is that why you're allowing yourself to dry out? Why you've stopped drinking blood of any kind completely? Because you are hallucinating Caroline?” He didn't reply but Marcel knew that answer. “Look, I came by here a few hours ago. I called out your name and you didn't even flinch or respond. You didn't hear me. I saw the grey on your skin and I knew what you are doing. You needed blood.”
“I just wanted to see her. To hear her voice. To see if I remembered what it sounded like.”
“I know. I know.” Marcel looked towards the canvas. It might have just been black with no variations other than the stroke of the brush but to him, it summed up the Klaus that stood directly in front of him. “Take all the time you need but know that Freya is still searching. Last we spoke she was in San Diego speaking with some witch contact of hers.” Klaus nodded. “We haven't given up on her. I hope you don't either.”
“I'll never give up on her. I just need some time.”
Forty-eight hours later, Klaus was on a plane to New Orleans.

( nina dobrev, 18/500+, female, she/her ) well if it isn't katherine pierce. rumor is that they’re a(n) vampire from the vampire diaries and they found their way to devil hills, ks 10 days ago. they can be a bit manipulative & impulsive, but some of that is made up by their tendency to be intelligent & witty. one of their top played songs is daisy by ashnikko. some sights and sounds that embody them are lacy lingerie, heels clicking on pavement, long curls, red lipstick. hopefully they pick the right side of things or stay out of the way.
ʙᴀsɪᴄs
full name: katerina petrova. katherine pierce. age: eighteen / five hundred plus. species: vampire. zodiac sign: gemini. sexual orientation: heterosexual. personality: over the years, katherine has become super cold. she cares very little about most people, with the exception of a few people. she’s very manipulative and cunning – she’s willing to do absolutely anything to get what she wants. katherine is very smart, which is very evident in the way that she’s avoided niklaus mikaelson for so many years. she loves games and will go above and beyond to play her games and mess with people. deep down she’s very upset and angry with herself for what happened to her family. she blames herself for the death of her family, and hates herself for not being able to protect nadia – although, she’d never openly admit that to anyone, as she hates feeling weak.
ʙɪᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜʏ
she was born in bulgaria as katerina petrova on june 5th, 1473. at the young age of seventeen, katerina gave birth to a baby girl out of wedlock and was disowned by her father. she was forced to give the baby up and was exiled to england. this is where she met both elijah and niklaus mikaelson, and was initially attracted to both men. however, in time, she learned that she was a petrova doppelganger and that niklaus intended on using her as a sacrifice to break the curse that bound his werewolf side.
katerina ran with the moonstone, tricking another vampire into giving her her blood so that she was able to turn herself into a vampire. due to her no longer being human, she could no longer be used as a sacrifice in niklaus’ plan to break his curse. klaus was so infuriated that he murdered katherine’s entire family, leaving her on the run for the next 500 or more years. somewhere down the line katerina took on the alias katherine pierce.
when she traveled to mystic falls, she met both damon and stefan salvatore, eventually falling in love with both men. she fed both brothers her blood, causing them to transition into vampires after being killed.
during a fight between elena, another doppelganger, the cure was shoved down katherine’s throat, causing her to become a human / traveler for the first time in over five hundred years or so. silas later on drained her of nearly all her blood, removing the cure from her bloodstream, which in turn caused her body to age rather quickly – attempting to catch up with the last five hundred years.
katherine is reunited with her daughter, nadia, for a short period of time until a werewolf bite takes her daughter from her.
katherine uses her traveler magic to become a passenger in elena’s body. however, when elena’s friends find out, she’s stabbed with the traveler knife, expelling her from elena’s body. soon after, she is dragged by unseen forces to what is presumed to be hell.

upon escaping from hell. the first thing katherine did upon returning was become a vampire once more. it took some convincing for a vampire to give her their blood, but she’s katherine pierce and manipulating is her strong suit.
katherine wanted a fresh start, therefore she’s decided to call devil hills home for the time being. she wasn’t expecting her favorite mystic falls gang to arrive in town as well, so it’s safe to say she’s a little annoyed with their sudden arrival.
katherine has been keeping her head down, trying to avoid stefan, damon, elena, and the rest of their friends – deciding she’d like to wait a bit before making her presence known. of course she won’t stay hidden forever, but if she’s to make an entrance, she wants it to be a big one.

The first tri-brid
Fandom: The vampire diaries/ The originals
please enjoy , comment who you want to be paired with. Whoever has the most comments (Out of The Vampire Diaries, or the originals) will be paired with the reader.
Warning; angst, slight cussing
Summary: (Y/N) (L/N), the first tri-brid in history. She is the oldest woman in history. Almost everyone knows a story about a woman being part Vampire, part witch, part werewolf, but nobody knows what she looks like Other than the few that have crossed rodes with her. Some say she is as dangerous (if not more) than the original hybrid himself. Some say she is sweet and caring. But what happens when the tri-brid finds herself in Mystic falls.
Y/n - your name - - L/N - last name - - Y/H/C- your hair color - - Y/E/C - Your eye color - - Y/s/t - Your skin tone - - A/n authors note - - N/n - nickname Y/m/n- your moms name -- Y/d/n Your dads name
(A/N): this is going to be in the season where the mystic falls gang is looking for the cure for vampirism.  This is going to be a small series probably so if he want a ship, please comment below who you want to pair with (Y/N).
Early 8th century(Roman times):
(Y/n) (L/N), A beautiful young 16 year old girl. A sister, a friend, a daughter, and one of the most unique young lady in the land. (Y/N) is 16, with (Long/medium/short) (Y/H/C) hair, (Y/E/C) eyes, her skin tone a pretty (Y/s/t) (A/N; cause everyone deserves a Imagine, Love yall) skin. She lives in a nice tent with her parents and  her little/older brother/sister.
Y/n was getting her hair brushed as her mother was preparing to go to bed. Y/n had a long tiring day. She went hunting for the first time. She was used to feeding on animals, but her mother (a witch) wanted her to feed on humans to see what would happen. When she did she was much stronger than she was with animal blood. Her mother noticed that and told Y/n she wanted her to only drink human blood, so that's what Y/n did. Her father (a werewolf) knew what Y/M/N was doing, she wanted Y/n strong so she could have more power. Y/m/n believed she was doing good when really she was messing with dark magic. (Y/brother/sister/n) knew that Y/n wasn't like them. They knew she was part vampire, part werewolf and Witch. Her sibling unfortunately didn't get the gene all they got was the werewolf gene. They were not part witch, or both (Witch and werewolf) they were just one or the other.
As (Y/n) finished brushing her hair she walked outside of her tent. She loved the night sky, it was her favorite time of day. She looked up towards the night sky watching as a few comets went by. She made a few wishes, as she did ever since she was a young girl. She walked through the woods listening to the owls hooting, and listening to the crickets as they made their soft lovely noise, that sounded like music to Y/ns ears. Y/n walked about a quarter of a mile to an opening like field. The field was shaped like a circle with trees surrounding it. She walked towards the middle with a smile on her face. The tall grass went to her knee as she walked through. But it didn't bother her, she loved it. It made her feel free, like she didn't have to hide the other side of her. She laid down in the middle of the field and looked up towards the clear sky.
She saw so many stars. She always wondered how it would be like to be able to see a star close up. She loved the night sky, almost as much as she loves..
“Y/n.” Y/n heard her name called out by a mans voice. She smiled as she heard her friends/crush voice. “Daniel.” Y/n said not moving her gaze from the clear starry sky. “I thought you would be in your tent, not here.” He spoke as he sat beside the young lady. “Well I would never miss a night like this, Its so clear out.” Y/n said with a smile that Daniel could only see, because of the full moon that was out. “its a full moon tonight.” Daniel started as he looked up at the stars. Y/n nodded with a smile turning her head to look at her friend/crush. “That means the beast are going to be out soon.” Daniel said as he turned his head to look at her. Y/n looked at him with a frown, not pleased at what he said. “What makes them savaged beast? For all we know we are the beast and they are normal.” Y/n proclaimed her voice rising just a bit. “How would you know that, do you know one?” He asked looking into her (Y/E/C) eyes. She paused for just a second looking at him with a frown. “No of course not. But what if they are just misunderstood. What if they had no choice, but to be this way?” Y/n asked her friend/crush very quickly. Daniel nodded as he thought about what she was saying. “So you think that these beast. I’m sorry things are not savage animals but are people that have no choice but to be like this?” He asked looking at Y/n. Y/n shook her head looking at the Green eyed boy. “No, I’m just saying I don't think we should accuse them for being a savage beast. When we don't know wither or not its true. Daniel nodded agreeing to what she was saying.
“It is a beautiful night isn't it?” he asked changing subjects. Y/n giggled as she cuddled into his warm body. Daniel chuckled as he put his arm around Y/ns small body. “What?” she asked looking at Daniel confused. “Nothing, its just we can go from having a disagreement to this. In just to beats.” He spoke looking up. Y/n nodded as she looked back at the sky, just in time to see a shooting star. “I hope this never changes.” Y/n spoke with a small smile. Daniel smiled while nodding. “It never will, as long as I can help it.” But what they didn't know was this night wasn't going to last forever.
Later that night as the moon reached its apex, (Y/N) and Daniel were walking back through the woods going back to their homes. Y/n was almost home when she heard a growl. She turned towards the growl and saw a silver wolf with glowing gold eyes looking at her and Daniel. “Oh my, Y/n get behind me.” Daniel said softly, trying to protect Y/n. Y/n nodded as she got behind Daniel. They slowly started to back away as the wolf inched closer and closer. Y/n gasped loudly as the wolf jumped at Daniel and her. She went to move out of the way, but she was too late. The wolf had pounced on top of them both. Daniel was screaming as the wolf had imbedded its claws into Daniels body. Y/n screamed out in horror as she saw this before her. “Help!” She shouted, running towards the village. “Help! Somebody help!” She shouted waking the people of the village. The men of the came out of their tents in their sleepwear coming out with their bows and swords. “Y/n, it is?” Jon a man of the village asked looking at frighten teenage girl. “Dan- Daniel he- he was attacked b-by the wolf.” Y/n stuttered out with fear in her (Y/E/C) eyes. “Please you have to go help him. He will not make it, if you do not go quickly. please!” Y/n begged as she looked at the older man. He nodded as he in the men of the village got on their horses going where Y/n directed them to.
By the time they got there the wolf was already gone and Daniel dead. As Y/n got there her knees gave out on her as she sobbed in tears. Screaming for someone to help him to do something rather than to just simply do nothing but stare. Y/n’s brother tried to pull her back but she wouldn't budge she just ran towards Daniel. She held him in her arms telling him that it couldn't be true, that he was still alive. The men around her slowly left one by one after paying their respects. Daniels mother and father sobbed as they looked at their dead son. They couldn't believe that he was dead. The young boy, not even 17 yet dead. He shouldn't even have died. Y/n stayed there in the woods rocking Daniels body in her arms. Daniels blood covered her once white evening gown. Daniels parents looked at Y/n in petty. They felt sorry for the girl, that she had to see that. but they were also upset that their son was dead. Daniels mother walked over to Y/n bending down. She stroked Y/ns hair out of her face kissing her forehead as a tear went down Y/ns eyes.  “I’m so sorry.” Y/n spoke as she looked at Daniels mother. “It wasn't your fought dear.” She spoke looking at Y/n. “I should have listened. He told me they were savaged beast. He said they were dangerous, but I protested. I said they were misunderstood. he was right, they really are monstrous.” Y/n spoke looking at Daniels cold body. Daniels mother shook her head looking  at Y/n. “Don't blame yourself darling.” She said as she left her husband following her.
a few centuries later:
Y/n was older, but never aged. She left soon after the death of her friend Daniel. She had to leave sooner rather than later because she didn't age. She liked traveling though. She went from her home to a new village. She was staying with a lovely family, that had children -the Mikealsons. Y/n enjoyed the company of the Mikealsons their children and their parents. Rebekah (The youngest of the siblings) enjoyed Y/ns company because Rebekah was the only girl out of her siblings. Y/n enjoyed Rebekah as well. Y/n told Rebekah stories of the land, from the little tales of a living tree, or the small tell of a man living in the moon. She would also make up some tells. She made up a story once of a woman marrying her prince. Rebekah loved the stories, almost as much as she loved Y/n.
Y/n was with Rebekah helping Ester (Rebekah's mother) prepare supper when they heard Niklaus screaming for help. Y/n, Rebekah, and the rest of their family came out of their home towards Niklaus. “What happened?” Mikal asked as he took Henrik out of Niklaus’ arms trying help.  It was too late, Henrik was dead. Later on that night after Y/n was asleep, ester took her children out of the house and into the woods to a opening in the woods. That's where Ester turned her children into Vampires. Other than Niklaus, what they didn't know (other than Ester) he was a werewolf. By the time Niklaus triggered his curse Y/n was gone. She couldn't stay in that village much longer before people saw she was not aging.
Thousand and hundred some odd years from the early 8th century:
Y/n has changed a lot. She wasn't like herself from the 8th century. She didn't wear a lot of dresses. Most of the time she wore skinny jeans, a tee-shirt, and a pair of black converse. She wore her hair either down (Curly/straight/wavy) or braided. She was in Mystic falls. She loved in there. She was living in a nice house right down the road from the Salvatore brothers (The two brothers she has known since 1860). She would just stay with them sometimes, other times when they got on her nerves she would just sleep at her house. The brothers knew she was some type of supernatural girl. What they didn't know was that she was a tri-brid. It wasn't that she didn't want them to know, they never really asked what she was.
Y/n was sitting her Black 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS 383 Stroker, her Best friend and Drinking buddy Damon Salvatore siting right beside her. She had a smile on her face as she sped down the road, going way too fast compared to the actually speed limit. “You know the speed limit is 60, right? You are going 103.” Jeremy said from the back seat. “Well, do you want to die?” Y/n asked no sarcasm coming out of her mouth. “was that sarcasm?” Damon sarcastically asked with a smirk. Y/n jerked the steering wheel making Jeremy yell. “What the hell!” He yelled at her making her roll her eyes. “You two might not be able to die, but I can still die!” Jeremy yelled looking at Y/n. “Well, if you don't like my driving I will gladly let you walk while Klaus is looking for your ass.” y/n said looking at Jeremy from the rear few mirror.
*Ring* *Ring* Y/n rolled her eyes as she picked up her phone. “What do you want Nik?” Y/n asked as she sped down the highway. “that's a good way to answer a life long friend isn't it, love?” Klaus said from the other line. “Well, Nik it would be nice if I wasn't taking Jeremy on behalf of Elenas request.” Y/n said making Damon give her a bitch face. Y/n rolled her eyes and continued going down the road, but slowing down just a bit. “Well love what if I made you a deal.” Klaus said making Damon jerk his head looking at Y/n. “what deal?” Y/n asked fully serious. “What if I told you I could train the little Gilbert so he can find the cure for the precious doppelgänger?”  Y/n turned her head looking at Damon who shrugged his Shoulders. “What’s in it for you?” Y/n asked Klaus. “I don't want anything to do with the cure, but my sister would rather have it. I would rather destroy it. but it would be nice to see you once again.” Klaus said. Y/n could hear the smirk in his voice. “meet me at the lake house.” Y/n said ending the call. “Did you just hand me over to Klaus!?!”

🔥 tvd. unleash the salt.
Tumblr media
YOU BROUGHT THIS ON YOURSELF MEEKS
-cough-
no but ok, my biggest unpopular opinion re: tvd? (judging mostly from what i’ve seen come out of what’s left of the ‘fandom’ since s6 when 99% of it jumped fuckin’ ship, but anyway)
the show turning to shit had absolutely nothing to do with delena becoming canon
like, i’ll be reading someone’s anti tvd post, and i’ll see something like ‘it started going downhill in s4′ and nod along, but then ‘when dullena became canon’ and it’s like -record scratch-
no. hold up. -squirts with a waterbottle-
anyone who didn’t realize that damon and elena were being set up to become canon down the line as early as season one were either in denial or just weren’t paying attention. i could write for days about all the signs and all the ways their relationship developed and how they each developed as characters, but i don’t have the energy to focus on the good about tvd anymore so i don’t feel like it. (i always have energy for salt, though. must be my high-sodium diet.)
there are a couple things we know for a fact about early tvd. one is that kevin williamson was largely in charge of the show as head showrunner for the first three seasons. another is that williamson left the show after season three–his name was still on it, but he moved onto another project, and julie plec was left in charge. given those two facts, and my belief that the show’s decline in s4 was far more gradual and less visible than it was in s5, when the show jumped the shark and over a fucking cliff, we (or at least i do, you don’t have to agree but it’s the story that makes the most sense to me so i’m sticking to it) can infer that kevin williamson left at least something of an outline behind for the season following his departure, and the rest was left up to julie as she meandered her way through three more seasons–two of which the show should never have had–with only the vaguest idea of an endpoint in mind.
(as early as season 2, julie said that she and kevin already knew how they wanted the show to end–or at least, they knew what they wanted the last words to be. given that the series finale ended the same way the pilot episode did, with damon showing up on stefan’s porch wearing his trademark smirk and saying ‘hello brother’, i can buy that they had this particular scene in mind when initially planning the overall series arc. i also think that julie plec went mad with the power she suddenly had over the story once williamson left, and any other tentative plans that may have been made were either forgotten or discarded in favor of magic vampire uteruses and pointless romantic arcs and killing characters off right before the end of the show for no real reason. but anyway, i digress.)
I THINK I’VE GOTTEN A LITTLE OFF TOPIC. anyway. if delena wasn’t the beginning of the end (we’ve established that delena–if not as an endgame, but certainly as a relationship that would need to be explored–was in the cards from the very beginning, and had achieved most of its crucial relationship beats by the s3 finale [all that remained was elena gaining closure for her decaying relationship with stefan before she could fully move on]), what was?
two things, primarily: the sire bond, and the cure.
now, neither of these things seemed particularly egregious at first. in fact, up until the end of the season, i was convinced the sire bond would be revealed to have never actually existed, because the ‘signs’ were so badly contrived that they had to be red herrings designed to make the characters doubt themselves and their feelings. in hindsight, i realize the piss poor writing surrounding the bond was emblematic of issues that would plague, and eventually destroy, the rest of the series. and until it came back in season six and undid literal years worth of character development for the central character of the fucking series, i actually thought the cure plotline in s4 was a stroke of brilliance–shoddily handled in a few places, but still solid enough in execution to make up for it.
because elena, having become a vampire, needed to have the option to become human again presented to her–and then she needed to reject it. Which she did, twice, at the end of the season–first when she offered it to Stefan without a second thought, and second when she shoved it down Katherine’s throat, again without a moment of hesitation. (Technically three times, if you count the fact that she was ready to force it on Damon, but that, at least, was motivated by her desire to save his life, since he was dying from werewolf venom at the time.)
elena’s arc throughout season 4 (and that’s another of my unpopular opinions–elena didn’t change into an unrecognizable monster when she became a vampire, becoming a vampire allowed her to let go of the gloomy graveyard girl and finally learn to love LIVING again, and the fandom was so used to her as the suicidal martyr ready to sacrifice anything and everything without a second’s hesitation that they turned on her, en masse, when she realized it was actually ok to want things for herself but…. that’s a different rant altogether, ahem ANYWAY) was about learning how to be herself again.
not herself as she was immediately pre-vamping–herself as she was before her parents died. it’s no coincidence, i think, that the s3 finale (when she was being turned) and then s4 were some of the only real glimpses we got of elena’s parents, and her life with them before they died. she literally hallucinated her mother, in one of the most heartbreaking scenes of the entire show, trying to convince her to kill herself because of what she’d become–but this, notably, was a curse enacted on her by a vampire hunter. (here’s another unpopular opinion–elena killing connor had nothing to do with the sire bond. she would have killed him anyway, because he was threatening her brother’s life. am i the only one who remembers that elena, as a human, went to denver with the sole purpose of figuring out which original sired mary, so she’d know which ones it was safe to kill to protect her family? she was a human and willing to kill 75% of all remaining vampires on the planet. girl could be fucking ruthless when it came to protecting the people she loved, especially after losing so many.)
“mommy, i never meant to disappoint you.”
and then the sun came up. and just as the light hit her and began to burn, because she’d thrown her ring into the river, she looked to damon and whispered his name, panic in her eyes–because she suddenly realized she didn’t want to die. she wanted to LIVE. she DESERVED to live. and damon did what he always did best–he saved elena gilbert’s life. and that’s when she realized she couldn’t keep ignoring the things she felt for him, the way her feelings for stefan had never really recovered, the fact that she wanted to learn to enjoy the life she had instead of subscribing to stefan’s tortured broody vampire bullshit.
(ok, in fairness to stefan [loathe as i am to be fair to mister Hero Hair], i don’t think he actually realized what he was doing to elena. i don’t think he quite understood just how badly he was feeding into her self-loathing and how much he was making her think she would become a monster just like him–just like ripper!stefan if she didn’t take to the bunny diet and make like a good little vampire who never stepped a toe out of line. but i do think that as those first few episodes wore on, elena realized, more and more, that she would not survive being a vampire if she had to do things stefan’s way. and it became clear that the elena stefan was in love with was the idealized, human version of elena who’d died going over that bridge–the elena who could remind stefan of his own humanity and be his anchor to non-ripperness. she couldn’t be his sober companion/humanity anchor if she wasn’t subscribing to his bunny blood ideals.)
the bottom line being, season 4 was about elena not only becoming a vampire, but learning to enjoy her life AS a vampire. no, it wasn’t something she’d chosen for herself, and maybe it wasn’t something she ever would have chosen for herself–considering that even as far back as the end of s2, when the possibility of turning was first presented to her as a real possibility, she was talking about a future where she grew old and maybe even had kids and started a family, things she wouldn’t be able to do with stefan, meaning that even then, in the back of her mind, their relationship came with a potential expiry date (and then we got ‘i can’t think about always, i can only think about right now‘ in the s3 finale, further cementing that)–but while she’d gotten exposed to so much of the darkness inherent in being a vampire throughout the first three seasons and then her own vampiric awakening, she also got to see the good.
her no-humanity arc was kind of essential for this, btw. (is this an unpopular opinion? probably. i’m gonna pretend it is so it doesn’t seem like i’ve gone too far afield here.) which is another reason i hated that stupid fucking sire bond, after i gave up the idea it’d be revealed to be fake, and choose to ignore it in my own interpretation of canon–because there was no need for it. elena just lost her brother, the one remaining member of her immediate family, the one she’d gone to extraordinary lengths the entire season to protect. she was in unimaginable fucking pain. she was in agony, because not only was her brother dead, but she was still a very new vampire and her emotions were spiraling out of fucking control.
she would have absolutely destroyed herself in her grief, if she hadn’t been presented with an outlet. something she absolutely would have chosen for herself, in that moment–damon talking to her softly, reminding her that there was a way she could just be without needing to feel everything, and elena latching onto that one tiny bit of hope, that maybe for now she didn’t have to be in so much pain she thought she might actually fucking die on the spot from it. elena making that choice for herself–actually, you know, having some fucking agency as the central character of the series–would have been a much better choice, both from a narrative and character perspective. BUT ANYWAY.
it was during her stint with the switch turned off that elena first got a real taste of how fun and how freeing being a vampire could be. if the Idiot Brothers hadn’t banded together to try and force elena to be human again against her will, i really don’t doubt that the worst she would’ve done was snatch-eat-erase a whole bunch of people and live it up in the seedier unberbellies of various big party cities for a while. but whatever, the damage was done and eventually elena had her switch turned on by watching matt die, and feeling the relief at seeing him wearing the gilbert ring, and etc.
she largely had vengeance in mind once she was back to her more or less ‘normal’ self, but a crucial part of her development over that particular arc was the fact that she no longer hated herself for existing.
that was huge. it wasn’t given the focus or prominence it should have had, and i’ll again blame that on the weaker writing that was filling the gaps left by kevin williamson’s departure, but elena was no longer the suicidal martyr she’d been since the beginning of the show. she enjoyed living. she reveled in the strength she had, in the fact that she was no longer the Token Human, the doppelganger whose blood attracted all kinds of atrocities. she could protect herself now. she got closure with her brother, when the ghosts came back for a while, and with alaric, and she basically gave herself permission to want to have forever with the man she loved.
(and the fandom villified her, for it. because of fucking course they did. because she was a teenage girl who’d spent most of the previous four seasons dying or preparing to die or literally ready to slit her own throat without a second’s hesitation when it came to protecting people she cared about, but now that she’d decided it was ok to want to be selfish for a while and be with who she wanted without feeling guilty, suddenly it was open fucking season. but ANYWAY.)
where was i?
oh. yeah. season 5.
like i said, season 4 was a little shaky, but more or less solid–it wasn’t until after season 6 that i realized the signs of the show’s downfall had started in s4, with the cure and the sire bond heralding much worse things to come. it was s5 where the show really went off the rails.
here’s another unpopular opinion–it was absolutely character regression to have damon acting out the way he did that season. yes, in seasons past, damon acting out was a big part of his progression–two steps forward, one step back, but still slowly but steadily moving forward. but by the time we get to s5, damon had literally everything he wanted. he was BLISSFULLY happy, with the woman of his dreams, living in utter domestic bliss for an entire summer before she went off to university. and this trashfire of a show actually tried to convince me that he would’ve left their bedroom for more than five minutes, let alone long enough to drive across the state and murder some innocent human woman over a sixty-year-old grudge he’d never so much as thought about the entire time he was in mystic falls????? really?????
as if that weren’t enough, this man who witnessed, first hand, elena’s love for her brother, and who had grown to love him too–who was desperate to save his life on more than one occasion, including VERY RECENTLY in the show–would let enzo waltz in and nearly murder him??? i’m????? god
and then katherine stole elena’s body, and i was fucking done.
literally ragequit the show once elena got her body back, because i was that fucking pissed. they literally had to do so much character regression and assassination to even make it work???? they had to put bonnie on a bus to ‘away from the main plot’ville just so that she couldn’t tell anyone that katherine hadn’t actually crossed over–even though she was right fucking there in the living room with them when she saw katherine’s ghost, and she would have known immediately that something was wrong because katherine disappeared rather than crossing over. and then they had to make damon devolve so he wouldn’t be in a position to realize elena wasn’t herself. and then everyone else carried the fucking idiot ball, except matt who was promptly compelled, and TYLER who nearly died about it, ALL so that no one would notice what had happened until damon was right there with katherine!elena trying to get him to kill her so she could kill him so he wouldn’t reveal what she’d done, and i JUST.
anyway. the awful thing is, the last few episodes of season 5 were really fucking good. it felt like the show had gone back to circa s3 levels of writing. and then s6 was ok for two episodes and then…. fucking nosedived off a cliff and into the abyss.
elena losing all her good memories of damon just so she could fall in love with him all over again was one of the worst writing decisions ever made. just, in history. completely. we didn’t need to see them fall in love in a rushed and half-assed manner when we’d already gotten a beautiful four-season arc of their love story. at the VERY LEAST, they could have had her just lose all her memories, similar to stefan’s s5 memory wipe, so that it wouldn’t seem weird that she thought he was a monster and loved him anyway because something something toxic bullshit. (oh, yeah, i’m still bitter af that they had to beat us over the head with DELENA IS TOXIC YOU GAIZ as if they didn’t have one of the healthier relationships in the show until it was decided that there wasn’t enough drama so they had to make damon regress and elena excuse it in a series of increasingly ooc writing decisions)
UH. ANYWAY YEAH.
as a sidenote, tyler and elena’s friendship had a lot of potential to be something kind of fucking amazing, and it’s one of the most underrated friendships in the fandom, which is a fucking shame because i would have loved to see them get closer and have a real bond as supernatural orphans who’d had almost everything and everyone they cared about torn away at one point or another.
god. ugh. TL;DR: delena was planned from the beginning and was in no way responsible for the show going to shit, it just had the unfortunate timing of becoming canon right before the show became terrible; elena gilbert was an amazing protagonist and character in general, who should not have been hated for daring to be a teenage girl who wasn’t always fully aware or in control of her own feelings, and who dealt with so much grief and trauma in such a short time that it’s nothing short of a miracle that she eventually found her way back to the girl she’d been before, happy and sure of herself, and people just couldn’t recognize elena when she was happy so they decided she randomly changed when she became a vampire and it was All Damon’s and Delena’s Fault; stefan was a terrible boyfriend for most of their relationship; damon was wildly out of character for most of season 5; and the memory loss arc in s6 was pathetic and actively harmful to the show as a whole and especially damon and elena’s relationship and perception in fandom; oh, and tyler and elena had an amazing and horribly underrated friendship that should have gotten a lot more focus than it did. (i’m still mad tyler was put on a bus so much rather than allowed to be like, present in the lives of his only remaining friends lmfao.)

True blood season 7
Well it’s done. Season 7 is in the bag, further more the entire series is in the bag. Most likely in like a week I’ll do a series review but for now season 7. What the bloody hell was that. Let’s start with it sucked(no pun intended) it’s a 6.8 for me. It was emotional for sure again but it still sucked. Like honestly I have no clue what the fuck I watched. Let me just say that the show did it with the fucking timing again. In the span of a week Alcide and Bill both die, Hoyt and Jessica get married, Eric and Pam track down the cure, violet kidnaps Wade, jessica, Jason and Adilyn, The Hep V vamps get Nicole, Jane, Holly and Arlene and Holly and Andy get engaged . I mean who was the villain or the antagonist of this season. To be honest there weren’t really any, there were a few minor groups or people who were agonistic but they served their one little episode purpose and moved on. you got the Hep V vamps, Sarah/ Noomi, the Yakuza, violet and the crazy mobbed up town people . Like I get that they wanted to wrap the show up but the hell. Let’s start with the Hep V vamps they were crazy and served a purpose in the start. They basically kidnapped Nicole, Jane, Holly and Arlene. Eventually Sookie and them figure out where they are hiding and rescure them. Not before the crazy mob of town people shoot and kill Alcide because they find out he’s a werewolf. I’m gonna be honest I think I mourned and cried more about Alcide’s death then Sookie. I actually really liked him, I mean I kinda figured him and sookie weren’t end game but still. I mean his body was barley in the ground before Sookie slept with Bill. Sarah/Noomi was on the run for a little but Pam, Eric and Yakuza were after her but turns out she’s the cure for Hep V. So the Yakuza come up with a plan to bottle her blood as the cure. Eric and Pam double cross them and take the cure for themselves. Not before Sookie gets involved and tries to get Bill the cure who sanctimoniously denies it because he wants a better life for Sookie (more on that in a second). Violet goes crazy after finding out that Jessica and Jason slept together and kidnapped them. But Hoyt saves the day. Yeah you read that right he comes back and saves the day. He ends up bringing along with him Bridget. Hoyt and Jason end up playing partner swap and Bridget and Jason end up OTP and Jessica and Hoyt also end up OTP. Bill ends up contracting Hep V from sookie because the night that Alcide was killed, sookie came up with crazy plan to attract the Hep V vampires but cutting herself. They end up killing them but not before there guts spill into Sookies open wound. Bill ends up really sick and asks sookie to end his life and give up her Faerie powers because he loves her and wants her to have a great life. I get that he was trying to show the ultimate form of love here but he kinda ends up being a bit of an ass if you ask me. His death takes like 10 minutes on screen and man do I want that time back. Tara died in the beginning and they used her this season to give her mother closeure. Lafayette was again seriously under used. I mean he outed James and then got to live happy bliss with him. Jason got his happy ending with Bridget, they had some cute kids. Sam starts off as Mayor and ends with some cute kids as well and leaves Bon Temps. Eric and Pam are living some sorta bliss back at the bar. Pam is just so funny and makes things a little better for me. The series finale was absolute Shite. Like we don’t even get a face for the man Sookie marries. There’s so much more to say but I feel like they stomped on the grave of a good thing. This would probably be rated a lot lower then a 6.8 if it weren’t for all the emotions of this season. It kinda felt like some serious Bull there. I mean for a last season it wasn’t anything special but it had it moments. Honestly it wasn’t an amazing send off or anything but it will do. P.S sorry tumblr followers you’re gonna see a lot of true blood on the dashboard, while I fall into a True blood hole.
