In your pov, will Master Fung allow any of them to get a bed in the future? I can't imagine sleeping on the floor is good for their backs, especially considering the beatings they sometimes receive.
They should. Pretty sure I know someone who might convenience them to get beds at some point.
*cough* Venti *cough*
But they should have beds there's no need to be sleeping on the floor all the time! At least give them cots like Guan did! That's sort of better!

military! shinichiro with 3 babies?? 😵‍💫😵‍💫 You created a monster because now i need more of this! 🥺
You asked I'm answering!
Custom-Made: Shinichiro Sano w/ 3 Kids Headcanons x Fem!Reader
wc: 455
tw: fluff
masterlist
Let's start with the fact that Shinichiro is definitely the type to try and get you pregnant with a year or so between each kid.
He's the kind of guy to say, "oh, we can just put those extra diapers they grew out of to use now."
In all of his years as a father, he's been the main diaper changer. This is what keeps him from having Kid #4.
Shinichiro is a stay-at-home dad on the weekends. He's going to give you self-care time when it's necessary!
He's also the type to take all three kids to the park for a guilt-free smoke.
He takes the eldest child to work some days and lets them watch as he's working on bikes and doing his thing - just like he did with Mikey.
Sometimes, he'll even let them hold his tools. Sometimes.
He has tried many times to get his kids into martial arts or boxing so they can be in the dojo with Keizo and Waka. Unfortunately, they watched their dad get his ass whooped while training, so they have no desire to be the kid who kicks their dad in the balls.
Keizo and Wakasa try to bribe them with sweets, but his kids are too loyal for that.
Shinichiro reads bedtime stories.
The first few times he read bedtime stories to the middle child, they shut the book on him.
He cried and told you that his child "didn't want to hear him read" and that he was "heartbroken." You told him to get it together and read. Cue a sniffing Shin reading "Oswald Has an Oopsie" to his kid.
As the kids get older, they tire of the books and beg him to create stories for story time so they can fall asleep to the sound of his voice. The eldest chimes in here and there to help him with his storytelling.
By the time the youngest is ten, Shin can weave a tale from start to finish about the silliest things. It's his party trick now. He'll even run the plot by you just to make sure it's not too silly that it's unbelievable.
Shin cries at every single graduation ceremony: kinder, first grade, second grade, third grade, and so on. Crayons and coloring books are his favorite gifts to give after the excitement of the day.
Finally, Shinichiro is an awesome dad. He's their first playmate, their first dance partner, their first taekwondo master, and their first bike riding experience.
But only on a tricycle - the real bikes will come in much, much later.
And those bikes are custom-made for his kids. Painted, fixed up, and waiting for their debut in the shop since before they were born.

it's kinda random, but do you have any headcanons about Vlad? tnx ^^
Tumblr media
Some Vlad headcanons:
He was the first to officially join "Jack Spicer's army of evil". Cyclops is second. Cyclops is essentially Jack's ward at that point, but Jack had to bribe him with some meat to actually get him to listen, and Vlad helped him hunt some.
He was already fluent in English, but he and Jack are tutoring each other in Russian and Chinese respectively.
He's not stupid, he's just very straightforward and eskews over-complicated solutions. It clashes with Jack's boy-genius thing, but in a way that's sometime pretty useful, because unlike Jack, Vlad is completely immune to things Einstellung Effect. Who else would see someone using the two-ton tunic and immediately just pluck them out of it instead of engaging? (It also makes him a good "rubber duck" when Jack's working out a programming issue.)
Tumblr media
In team-ups, he tends to be the unofficial "healer" of the group. He's adept in first aid and he has a lot of surprisingly effective family remedies like the itch ointment he sold to Dojo, and quite a few that he's developed himself lately now that he travels more. His salves and medicines make use of ingredients that are relatively easy for him acquire or forage for.
Lost his parents a couple years back, though he still has extended family and older siblings.
He's quite a handiman, usually for hire, as he mentioned taking on jobs like removing paint. The reason he so efficiently did all those chores at the temple without complaint is because he's done it pretty often on jobs anyway, and he is currently on paid assignment.
Officially, he's worked as a jack-of-all-trades vendor most his life pretty independently, especially since he currently lives alone.
He first met Jack a while back, before the Xiaolin stuff started. It was during a trip abroad Jack was taking in studying for world domination stuff. Jack came across his stand and was just looking for something that could mend something ripped. But Vlad's sales pitch of being willing to do basically any job for some cash, and that he's apparently taken jobs for a Bratva before, made Jack something of a repeat customer for his services.
He's surprisingly loyal to Jack and down for whatever. Despite being hired muscle on paper, Vlad considers Jack a good friend.
He's a good cook, but a lot of his recipes are an acquired taste. He gets a bit clumsy with ratios in baking, though.

Loved the post you did on beloved’s ex. Please do more!! 🙏
Thing is, like, I don't think Terry Silver would antagonize exes.
Never openly.
Quite the contrary; this figurative ex of yours, well, they rather think Terry's a swell guy, because he is on the surface. Friendly. Open. All warm smiles, handshakes and easy conversation. Charm incarnate. Like, surprisingly so. You might literally find them sitting together swapping stories like old friends. Invites the individual for drinks sampled from his own collection, maybe a meal specially prepared for them by his waiting staff and chefs, gives them a tour of his home, his cars, his things, his art --- you name it. Talks about the ex and makes them the center of all conversation, having them feeling important and seen; talks about things he can do for them, favors he can hook them with, individuals he can introduce them to, stuff he can teach them, offering them a job, opportunities for no reason other than him being amazing like that; Terry can get them connected. Terry can help. In fact, Terry will help and he wont take no for an answer because any person attached vaguely to his beloved is a friend of his too. Terry is the nicest person out there. Truly. To the level this ex will get lulled into an artificial sense of safety through excessive lovebombing, like a fly being drawn to a flesh eating monster plant right before it snaps shut.
Thing is, keep your friends close and your enemies closest and Terry lives by those words because he knows it is far easier to mess someone up who trusts you and who is at arms length than someone who just isn't. And so, sinisterly enough, your ex becomes his ''''friend'''', with a million quotation marks, outright. Your ex might be working under Terry in no time, driving a car Terry gave them, mingling with a crowd Terry had them meet, wearing suits Terry's cash afforded them to the degree the ex feels that hey, losing you to Terry Silver was the best life investment plan they could've made because it ensured them a friend in a benevolent, overly generous Billionaire who makes their whole existence better thanks to a connection to you.
Except, not all is as it seems.
Not at all.
Everything Terry does to your ex he does behind their back as a long con game because he's out to eliminate them (and get a huge kick out of doing so) and have revenge on them merely due to the fact that they're, you guessed it, your ex and he can't stand competition even when it is no longer competition even by a long shot. Fact is, your ex might be so adamant that Terry Silver is their friend that even if someone told them they're being manipulated they wouldn't believe it because Terry just did so many good things for them. None of these good things are for free, though. When was anything truly for free? Next time Federal Agents might have a look into Dynatox's affairs, or if, later in life, Cobra Kai's dojos come under fire, or quite literally any of Terry's endeavors require him to accuse someone else in his circles of something he did, your ex is made the obvious sacrifice and they might even be willing to become one, because Terry promised --- oh, Terry promised they'll be rewarded like never before if they just do this one last job for him. They might be Terry Silver's supposed and most devoted friend one day and the next day they might be led away in cuffs to serve the next decade or two in prison for bribing a regional judge, hefty tax evasion and burning down Mike Barnes' furniture store on Terry Silver's behalf and then obstruct and hide the truth by coming out as the sole culprit for the crime (with majorly trumped up charges) and the amount of jubilant satisfaction and sense of triumph Terry will feel then is hard to describe. Might just pop his best champagne and fuck you into next week to celebrate. Can see him having his people send a fruit-basket to jail. From your good friend, T.S. in all his devotion and making such acts of kindness a regular thing even in the face of him betraying and using someone and then promptly pushing them out of the way.
Revenge is best served cold. And oh, how Terry will giggle and snicker once his plan is complete. He'll be like a kid in a candy store. He lives for a good, complicated scheme.
Quite honestly, it is far less scary if Terry Silver just hates someone openly.
But thing is, he seldom ever does.

A/N : Recently reading this interesting manga about a girl who was meant to be sacrificed as a ritual food for the beastman king and ends up becoming his wife instead. So here's and AU of the manga with Hakuji/Akaza and Koyuki. ( The manga is called Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts )
Tumblr media
|| 𝕾𝖆𝖈𝖗𝖎𝖋𝖎𝖈𝖎𝖆𝖑 𝕻𝖗𝖎𝖓𝖈𝖊𝖘𝖘 & 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝕮𝖆𝖕𝖙𝖆𝖎𝖓 𝖔𝖋 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝕽𝖔𝖞𝖆𝖑 𝕲𝖚𝖆𝖗𝖉 || ft. OC Fumiko.
Once upon a time, there was a great, horrible war, between humans and demons. It went on for centuries, until both side had opened their eyes of the war's consequences and what it had affected each species. Thus, after many meetings and arguments, both sides finally decided to end the war, for the sake of their homeland and the people.
The humans had created a new species of cows to be given to the demons, so they wouldn't eat humans anymore. The demons found this new species satisfying enough and allowed the humans to have a share of their special trees that bear sweet fruits that could also heal wounds. Both sides managed to create another path to avoid wars, even though there were still some resentment for each sides.
That was about 100 years ago, Koyuki recalled. Demons no longer eat humans, so why did her village sent her off to be sacrificed as a meal? Was it because her father had succumbed to poison, leaving her alone? That it was inappropriate for a virgin woman to live alone so they thought it would be better that she went off dead?
So many questions, yet none were answered. Koyuki glanced at the men sitting beside and in front of her in the carriage, and she was grateful for the veil covering her face, allowing her to make none direct eye contacts with anyone. Her hands were cuffed with iron and there were bruises around the wrists, a proof of her struggling to not be taken away. Before she was taken inside the carriage, the villager bathed her, gave her wonderful foods that she had never been able to touch before, and then threw her away. Thankfully they let her wore the kimono her father had worked hard to buy for her.
Koyuki's eyes dropped sadly. She should've seen this coming. She was sick, ill since birth, her father was the only one who took care of her, loved her. He was gone and she was alone. No one wanted to take care of her. It would be a burden for them. 𝘚𝘩𝘦 was a burden for them.
Her eyes noticed the sudden change of the path outside, the small light from the lamp outside help with seeing through the darkness of the night. Anyone could recognized the border that separate the human land and the demon's, but right now, the carriage wasn't going any near the border.
" It's a pity to throw away such beauty to those demons. "
Shiver ran down her spine. Koyuki recognized the voice. The men in the carriage with her worn amigasa ( straw hats ), so she couldn't really saw their faces clearly. The one in front of her took of his and looked at Koyuki with a creepy smile.
He was the heir of the dojo next to her father's. The one who kept pestering her father to have Koyuki's hand in marriage. The reason why her father refused him was because he didn't care much of Koyuki's health. One time, he forcefully dragged Koyuki outside to have a date, and when she got to her knees having trouble with breathing, he panicked and left her there. If it wasn't for some children playing nearby and alerting her father, she would've died right there.
Koyuki flinched when she felt her chin being grabbed by the heir of the next dojo. She had forgotten his name, not caring enough to care about such man. He must have bribe the driver to change the path. He grinned at her.
" We'll be married at sunrise and you will stay at the hut in the mountains. Everything I say is an absolute rules. " His hand traveled to cup her face. " I will make you happy every night. "
𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘨𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨, Koyuki recoiled. She yanked her head away, not wanting to be touched, when the carriage shook tremendously, as if someone had landed on top of it. Sure enough, the top of the carriage was literally ripped off, exposing the ones inside. The horses panicked and started to lose control, causing the carriage to lose its balance.
Koyuki gasped as she slide over the wall, eyes closing in surprise as yelling and screaming filled the air. The carriage had fallen to its side, and the girl found herself rolling away. Sharp stones cut her skin as she came to a halt, forcing her palms to scratch on the ground so she would stop rolling away.
Everything hurts. Koyuki felt something warm trickling down on her left side of her face. Her chest felt painful and she was having a hard time to breath. She was too focused on her state that she didn't realized the noise had slowed down, the horses had ran off and there was no sight of the men who were in the carriage with her.
" Your Highness, please step away. "
" Here I thought your sight is better than mine. Surely you see this girl is injured and her hands are cuffed? Not to mention you don't hurt women. "
Koyuki lose focus on the rest of the conversation of the strangers. Her vision was getting darker, and the last thing she remembered was falling in someone's arm.

It was pretty rare for a human to be nearby the border. The trespassers would be taken in as prisoners until humans with authority bait them out or either in the mercy of the demon king's hand. As the only sister the king had, Fumiko was sure that the numbers of humans casualties were all thanks to her. Muzan has a soft spot for his sister, so it was fortunate that her request for trespassers to be given trials or such and not be given death sentence immediately was granted. Not to say that she was a good person, but she was reasonable enough.
As the captain of the royal guard, Akaza was given an order to accompany the princess on her patrol around the border. Fumiko had maintained a good relationship with demons like Akaza, so safe to say that it was easier to talk to Fumiko rather than her brother. Seeing a human carriage nearby the border was alarming enough, since they had received no notice from the human palace of any visitors.
Akaza had expected to have his arms soaking in humans blood, not literally having an unconscious, alive, one on him. There were three men, plus the driver of the carriage. He didn't noticed the woman until she rolled out of the carriage.
" A sacrifice. " Fumiko frowned at this. " It's been a long time. Maybe a town or a village decided to offer a human sacrifice out of pure belief. "
" But we no longer do this. " Akaza grumbled, adjusting the girl's position in his arms. His eyes trailed down towards the cuff on her hands. He slowly used his fingers to lift the veil off her face.
The woman looked so...delicate. Her appearance was messy, with dirt and blood all over her body and face, others would scrunched their noses in disgust and refused to hold her. But Akaza felt like he was holding a fragile glass. A beautiful, fragile glass. It was as if he dropped her, she would break.
Fumiko noticed the silence from the captain. She tilted her head at the way his eyes locked on the human girl, one hand softly pushing off the veil from her face. The way he carried her looked gentle, yet firm. It looked like he didn't want to drop her nor letting her go.
Akaza broke out of his trance when Fumiko went to take off the veil entirely. She looked at Akaza, smiling.
" Bring her with us. "
" ...Your highness? " Akaza hesitated.
Fumiko's smile widened. " I'll talk about this to my brother, don't worry. Let us tend to her injuries. "
" And the others? "
" Send in some soldiers to fetch the other trespassers. We gotta hurry if we want that girl to live. "
If there was one common thing that the Kibutsuji siblings share, was that they always planned something in their mind, something unexpected. It unnerved and made other demons anxious in waiting. Muzan's plan usually had something cruel in it while Fumiko's with bits of mischievous. If they both conduct a plan together, chaos happens.
Even so, Akaza kept his lips shut and followed the princess back into the kingdom. His eyes occasionally glancing back on the girl in his arms.

do you think the monks could get jack to stay on the Xiaolin side for good if they made him some pudding
Ngl anon, now I’m torn between my heart’s desire and my mind’s logic. So, I’ll go with both. This post will consist of two parts: the serious one and the silly one.
1. The serious answer
No. We all have witnessed Jack’s attempts to be a good guy and how they ended. As much I want Jack to be redeemed, he just simply can’t. The biggest reason why he isn’t able to do so is his tendency to double-cross. His betrayals have various causes. Let’s enumerate them.
The first time he down rightly helps the good guys is when Wuya takes over the world. Cool - he helped with the time machine. Everything went smoothly up to the moment Wuya’s golems captured Jack, Dojo, Clay, and Kimiko. In order to save his ass, he lets Wuya know what happened to Omi, hoping she would spare him.
We also have many other examples in which Jack tags along if it LIES IN HIS INTEREST. Pandatown, The deep freeze, Dangerous Minds, and even I could count that one moment in Something Jermaine – these are all instances of Jack helping the monks in one way or another. I’m not counting the moments in which good!Jack was helpful because ‘Jack wasn’t himself’ and I’m trying to explain why the evil boy genius is deemed to stay evil or neutral.
Let’s look more closely at what motivates Jack to assist the xiaolin side once in a while. His own interests, such as 1. retrieving the stolen wu from pandabubba 2. fear of his own safety 3. fear of his own safety again. (but more specifically fear of spiders and maybe what would Chase do if Jack didn’t agree to work together in the first place) and 4. exchanging information about Jermaine in order to get Clay’s hat was a quickly developed plan that could make Tubbimura less demanding when it comes to chores Jack had to do for him. Jack has a rather selfish, but pragmatic approach to how he handles difficult situations.
If it didn’t work out with Wuya → he goes to Chase. If Chase told him to scram → he tries with other potential evil partners: Vlad/Tubbi/Katnappe/Cyclops. If everyone else rejects him → he goes to the xiaolin temple as the last resort.
Mind you, Jack also tries to seek support from the baddies and take advantage of them too. All he has to do is either play nice (if he wants something from the good guys) or fulfill the wishes of higher-up Heylins. He’s used to the role of a servant and surprisingly he can beg his way through quite successfully. No one, no matter the alignment considers such quality as positive, tho. In fact, it’s the most annoying trait of Jack that gets on everyone’s nerves right next to his cowardice.
So, we could say that FEAR motivates him to join the ranks of xiaolin warriors sometimes. However, he never stays there long. I would say that fear not only motivates him to ‘be good’ but also is the reason why he betrays the good side so often. Just add Jack’s insecurities: his belief that he’s insignificant and worthless. It’s just like Omi encapsulated in the Apprentice.
JACK IS AFRAID HE’D FAIL AT GOOD JUST LIKE HE FAILED AT EVIL’
What is worse, for Jack it’s a never-ending cycle in which he can’t completely trust no one. His sense of friendship is more defined by how people treated him up to this point, so he is of opinion that‘ friends use each other – that’s normal’. And maybe his betrayals are sort of a coping system. Y’ know, the ‘I’ll hurt them first before they hurt me first’ mentality.
It turned out long, so let’s return to the possibility of monks bribing Jack with pudding. It would never work out. Sure, he would eat it, even have a few laughs with kids his age in the best scenario. But nothing more. ‘The next time we see each other we’re enemies again’ – he would retort as a goodbye.
Even if he was promised a larger amount on the condition he would stay at the temple for a longer period of time…. He would last maybe one day again? Jack admits he’s sneaky, so he would've taken advantage of the monks' kindness and steal all of the temple pudding alongside shen gong wu.
To wrap things up, not even the tastiest pudding in the world could change Jack’s mind due to his many insecurities, survival instinct that make him act like a jerk, and distorted outlook on life/relations with other people. It would take a lot of time and effort on monks’ part to make Jack realize he doesn’t need to be a jerk all the time. Ok, the first step to making Jack trust them could start with sharing food, but most importantly they should treat him as if he was an equal. Teach him something. Build a meaningful relationship with him. Then, once this is achieved maybe Jack would betray them increasingly seldom up to the point he would reject that nasty habit of his.
Everything would end with just them, sitting in the shadow of the same tree they stood once Wuya was defeated. Just friends eating puddi, all happy and glad they have such good company.
2. BUT MY SILLY ANSWER COULD BE AS FOLLOWS:
haha Clay, Raimundo, Kimiko and Omi trying to ‘catch’ Jack into the puddi trap go BRRR
So, to light up the mood I may have a funny story for you. Let’s assume Omi managed to convince the others Jack could be their friend if they showed him some love. Kimiko points out Jack won’t agree to this.
Then Omi says something along the lines: He kidnapped Dojo from us so why don’t we kidnap him too?
‘And what’s next, Omi? We buy him puddi, leave the puddi below the trap made from a box and stick just like in cartoons and-’ - Raimundo doesn’t hide the fact he’s against the idea
‘Actually, pardner… ‘ - Clay explains it could be arranged
Tumblr media
Imagine. Four kids gifted with supernatural powers setting up a trap for their frenemy in order to kidnapp himbecause it’s the only way to change their status from frenemies to actual friends. Hilarious. And the more hilarious thing is the fact Jack doen’t need to be kidnapped. He kidnapps himself lol. So, he takes the bait, gets imprisoned. Once he escapes the box, Clay is ready to give him a big bear hug.
Jack doesn’t know what’s happening so he’s yelling, biting, kicking, Clay also freaks out because such struggling reminded him of his experiences with holding angry goats and pigs at the farm lol
Omi jumps at Clay’s back to somehow steady both the cowboy and Jack. Rai and Kimiko aren’t quite sure how to help so they keep on shooing to make Jack calmer. Omi eventually admits it’s time to stop Jack’s panic attack. In order to do that, Omi goes with a lullaby, so he sings one. At the same time, he’s caressing Jack’s hair.
Don’t ask me what happens later. Probably Jack scolds them for making him react that way. Additionally he exclaims monks should give him more puddi as an apology.
‘To be fair all of this was set up because we wanted to invite you for a snack.’
‘What kind of sick people are you?’ - Jack questions
‘The same people who are willing to provide you with free pudding for no reason’’ – Kimiko adds
‘Ok, so be it.’ - Jack’s response is so casual everyone is kinda surprised.
Don’t get me wrong Jack doesn’t go ‘monk style’ overnight. He just considers the temple his second home because the kitchen is his lol. Dojo’s not happy about boy genius eating the contents of their fridge haha
And Wuya would be as mad as Dojo because this way Jack is less productive when it comes to wu-hunting.
‘Jack what are you waiting for!? Grab the wu!’
‘Na-ah. Can’t. Can’t you see cheeseball gave me a new pudding cup?’
‘Jack what are you doing!? Don’t go to them! I’m counting to 5 and I expect you to stand right next to me. Jack!? JAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!!!
Ultimately Jack ignores her and even after the defeat, instead of going home with Wuya, he prefers to return to the temple to hang out and eat more puddi lol

I think Sam’s support system might be crumbling in a way. One of my theory’s for S5 is that Daniel is going to be making Eli/Hawk the face of Miyagi-Do for marketing purposes. It makes sense from that standpoint. Use your champion to match theirs (Tory). He was the only member of Miyagi-Do to win the championship of his division in the All-Valley (even though Sam technically did win, but was cheated out of it by the bribed ref not counting her wining attacks) and Eli/Hawk also used to be a member of Cobra Kai — this could sway kids who are on the fence about which dojo to join and convince them to give Miyagi-Do a chance. To Sam, this could be very insulting (and very understandably so, Eli/Hawk was a member of Miyagi-Do for a few weeks and now he’s the face of it?).
Also, Ralph confirmed that Daniel is going to spiral downward in S5. That it’s going to look like he’s crazy to everyone around him due to his previous trauma and current fight against Silver. As for Amanda, if she’s still helping/taking up for Tory in all this (while Sam is mentally struggling)… 🤦‍♂️
Plus, Miguel is in Mexico (along with Johnny and Robby). Aisha’s moved away. Moon and Demetri are probably going to be really happy for Eli/Hawk. While Eli/Hawk is probably going to be struggling with his new role. It feels like Sam will be isolated and dealing with her PTSD alone. Though, I do agree that if Dark Sam does happen — the new CK Sensei they cast will play the Silver-Like role to manipulate Sam.
I can see the argument that Sam’s support system is crumbling, at least in regards Daniel because of his unresolved trauma bubbling to the surface in a way the narrative will (finally) address. And he pushes Eli forward because from Survival Mode perspective, Eli won when no one else did, and Daniel wants to beat CK (Silver, specifically) At All Costs.
Amanda…well honestly it’s really hard to tell wtf they’re gonna do with Amanda, because I thought she’d be furious with Tory after s3, but one mention of her bad home life (from Kreese of all people??) erased all ill will, so 🤷‍♀️ jury’s still out, and you might be right that Sam loses an ally there.
And Johnny, Miguel, and Robby are gone. So if this new sensei approaches Sam and makes no mention of CK (and even talks badly about CK for Sam’s sake), I could see her bringing out the Eagle Fang in Sam again and driving the aggression further, arguing that the only way to fight CK is to use their tactics.
I wouldn’t class that as a “Dark Sam” arc per se, because she wouldn’t go full Cobra? But…then again I also don’t quite class KK3 Daniel as a “Dark” arc 😂 so the previous anon who compared them…I concede, you might have a point that that’s where they’re going.
All this to say…if they do it right, I agree, it could be really interesting!

What would be different in season 5 of Cobra Kai if it was Samantha LaRusso who caught Terry Silver paying off the referee?
As in, let's say everything in the season 4 All Valley is the same. The difference is that Sam (instead of Tory) happens to see Silver and the referee through the blinds while on her way to grab her stuff from the locker room. She hears just enough to realize that she lost because she got cheated out of a win. What does Sam do next?
I think for starters, there's the question of whether she'd think Tory was in on it and go to confront her or she'd go to Daniel and tell him about this. It's possible the former, but on the other hand, Sam accusing Tory of something she didn't do has already happened, so maybe she'd just tell Daniel and Johnny about this. This gives Daniel a reason to not honor the deal to shut down for losing the tournament.
Sam's mental state in the first three episodes of season 5 would be totally different since she's not dealing with losing the tournament on top of Miguel running off to Mexico, so she doesn't break up with him.
I think the first few episodes of season 5 would see Daniel working with Johnny, Amanda and Chozen to help build a case against Silver for rigging the tournament, maybe even do things like track down the referee who oversaw the girls' finals and get him to confess to taking a bribe. The whole time, Silver works to play Daniel and Sam like a fiddle in an attempt to discredit Sam.
5x05 sees Daniel bring Sam before the All-Valley committee to make the case that the season 4 AVT's results should be thrown out and a new tournament should be scheduled. So Sam makes a speech to the AVT committee not unlike Miguel's town hall speech in 3x08, and just like she provided support for him there, he provides support for her here, helping her make the case for why she, and everyone else in Miyagi-Do, Eagle Fang and the other dojos, deserves a second chance.
Sam has to tread carefully here, considering that she's making these allegations speaking as the person who lost the girls' finals. So she has the uphill battle of knowing the potential optics of the second place finisher crying foul, and the possibility that the AVT committee will publicly spin her as a sore loser if she doesn't say the right things.
Fortunately, despite the longshot odds, the committee have known Daniel for years, not to mention there is the fact that Cobra Kai was banned after the 1985 tournament because of Silver's shenanigans there too. They sympathize with Sam, and a public declaration is made that "In light of Samantha LaRusso's allegations of bribery and match rigging, the 2019 All-Valley Tournament results have been invalidated. A do-over tournament is scheduled for the first weekend of September."
Then the last few episodes of season 5 are about the dojos all preparing for the new All-Valley, which is streamlined a bit (the skills demos are cut) and additional security measures implemented to ensure no match-fixing can happen (as in, new referees who've participated in the Sekai Taikei are brought in, sequestered for a few days before the tournament, and don't know which matches they'll be reffing until 20 minutes beforehand). It is also decided that the top three finishing dojos in the tournament will be considered by the Sekai Taikei committee for spots in their tournament.

miyagi-do sunrise
Tumblr media
okay first of all i’m not a robby simp, BUT i was feeling soft for him so i wrote this. anyyywayys, enjoy!
summary: you and robby watch the sunrise together
word count: 497 (super short i know)
“shh, you have to be quiet,” robby whispered, his hand holding yours tightly. “right quiet okay,” you whispered between giggles. robby laughed at you quietly, pulling you closer to him, slowly coming to a stop. “okay close your eyes,” he instructed. “why?” you asked, looking back at your boyfriend, who was standing behind you. “just do it,” he said and you complied, closing your eyes.
robby grabbed your hands, leading you to wherever he was taking you. suddenly he came to a stop again, “okay open your eyes,” robby instructed. you opened them and gasped loudly at the sight. you were standing in a garden, complete with ponds, fountains, trees, and amazing greenery. “wow, this is so pretty,” you breathed out in awe. “yeah, well that’s not even the best part,” robby said, grabbing your hand again.
robby led you over to a section of rocks that were all cluttered together. he climbed up first, before helping you get up there. the two of you were standing very close, your fingers intertwined with his. “hi,” you whispered, worried that if you spoke too loud you’d ruin the feeling of serenity. “hi,” robby whispered, placing little kisses all over your face. you giggled, “robby stop that tickles.” the kisses came to an immediate halt as robby pulled you closer to him, his arms wrapped around your shoulders. you wrapped your arms around his waist, burying your face into his chest.
“i love spending time with you rob, really, but why did you bring me to your dojo at five in the morning?” you questioned your boyfriend. “because i wanted to watch the sunrise with you. plus miyagi-do has a great view,” robby said, pointing over to the direction of the sunrise. for the second time today, you felt your fall mouth open in shock. “wow. it’s so pretty and colorful,” you mumbled, face squished against robby’s chest.
“not as pretty as you,” robby replied, smiling at the blush that coated your cheeks. “shut up,” you mumbled, pulling away from the hug. “no!” robby whisper yelled, pulling you back into him. you smiled at him, burying your face back into his chest. “im so-” you started but were cut off by a yawn. “tired?” robby finished for you, causing you to pinch his side gently. “a bit,” you mumbled, eyes focused on the rising sun.
“come on, i know a place where we can rest,” robby said, jumping down from the rocks. he helped you get down before leading you inside the dojo. “you want to sleep on the mats?” you questioned, raising your eyebrows. “just a short nap. we can cuddle,” robby said, bribing you with cuddles. you crossed your arms, faking annoyance, but that quickly faded as you joined your boyfriend on the mats. robby kissed the top of your head gently as you fell asleep in his arms, the two of you completely forgetting where you were, until you were woken up by mr. larusso’s yelling.

Cobra Kai Season 5 thoughts
!!!COBRA KAI SEASON 4 SPOILERS!!!
So, I was just thinking how the ending to Cobra Kai season 4 made no difference to the wager. According to Kreese, the wager was “if I lose, I go” and “if you lose, you stop teaching.” Nothing was said about any of the dojos shutting down. It was just the loser(s) had to stop being a sensei.
With Silver betraying Kreese and taking over Cobra Kai, it wouldn’t have mattered if Daniel or Johnny won, anyway. Silver was never part of the terms in the first place. There would have been nothing stopping him from continuing Cobra Kai had Miyagi Do or Eagle Fang won the tournament.
Johnny will presumably be going after Miguel in Mexico, so him no longer being a sensei also doesn’t matter.
Meanwhile, Daniel brings in Chozen, who will be able to teach Miyagi Do in his place, arguably even better than he did. I imagine Johnny’s students will also join in, as Chozen’s more aggressive form of Miyagi Do would certainly appeal to them.
This opens the door for Daniel and Johnny to actually be able to attend to family matters, I suppose. Johnny has to find Miguel, and the ending to season 4 also suggests he might have an opening to start patching things up with Robby.
Daniel has a situation with Anthony to deal with since Kenny will presumably be coming for him next season. As Vanessa helpfully pointed out, Anthony’s problem behavior ultimately stems from bad parenting, so it will be up to Daniel and Amanda to fix it, while probably also teaching him to defend himself.
I also look forward to a possible bond between Chozen and Eli. They both committed horrible actions out of feeling bullied/dishonored. They both found themselves alienated from someone who cared for them, but who also forgave and took them back (Sato and Demetri). Chozen might be the only one who may be able to help Eli address any lingering shame he feels over what he did.
I do think Terry Silver will find himself in trouble, though. Robby isn’t crazy about him, and now Tory knows that he bribed the ref. She seemed very upset when she overheard that conversation, and she probably sees her victory as tainted. She may also fear that Amanda will withdraw her support if she found out that Tory won dishonestly. The question will be if Tory comes clean about what Silver did or not. I suspect that she will visit Kreese in jail and talk to him about it.
As a final thought (for now), I remember seeing a lot of speculation over the years over who would win in a fight between Mike Barnes and Chozen. Considering Silver mentioned finding an old friend or two to help with Cobra Kai in Kreese’s absence, we might finally get to see this fight play out. My money is totally on Chozen. He’s probably the best overall fighter in the franchise.

I love fluffy family headcanons as much as the next person but I want to know what it'd look like if my OTP wasn't written in fluff and love and understanding but with reality and arguments between people who know their weak spots after ten years of marriage-
Takashi pulled off his t-shirt and tossed it at the hamper by the door and headed for the master bathroom for a much needed shower. Haruhi slipped into a large t-shirt and her husband's boxers as her pajamas. She was too tired to worry about finding her pink dress in the pile of clean clothes by the dresser. For now at least she was clothed.
She noticed his shirt on the floor and huffed in annoyance, "Please pick that up."
Takashi had already closed the door behind him, not hearing her. She groaned at hearing the shower turn on and hesitantly stood from the bed to pick it up herself. Her legs hurt form balancing on heels all day at the firm and her thighs burned after kneeling in front of the bathtub for an hour. Their kids seemed to sense she had a bad today and only added to her frustration, choosing to play in the bathwater and accidentally pooping right after she washed their bodies.
Takashi emerged from the bathroom with a towel lazily wrapped around his waist just as Haruhi crawled into bed.
"Please put your clothes in the hamper, it would mean a lot." Haruhi said with an undertone of irritation.
Takashi looked at the hamper and breathed out a sigh, letting his hand fall against his thigh, "Sorry." He mumbled.
Haruhi rolled over in the bed, turning her back to him, and reach for the lamp beside her, leaving his lamp as the only light in the room.
"Are the kids in bed?" He asked, reaching for a clean shirt and shorts from their dresser.
"Yes finally," Haruhi grumbled from against her pillow, "It took forever to bathe them and they were to hyper to sleep. I had to bribe them with a little cake to make them get into bed."
Takashi turned to her, "I thought we agreed we wouldn't give them cake before bed anymore."
Haruhi shrugged, "Well I had a pretty shitty day and I wasn't in the mood to fight them."
Takashi groaned, "I'm sorry you had a bad day but we agreed-"
"I know we agreed I know," Haruhi snapped, turning around to face him, "I know we agreed but Takashi I couldn't handle them tonight."
Takashi stepped into his shorts put kept eye contact with his wife, eyes narrowing in frustration. "This has to be the last time Haruhi, I don't want them picking up Mitsukuni's behavior."
Haruhi sighed and looked at her hands resting atop the blanket, "I really could have used your help tonight you know. It was hard dealing with the kids by myself."
Takashi pulled his shirt over his head and closed the dresser drawer, "I'm sorry Haru, I had a bad day too. Two of my students decided to use my dojo to settle their argument."
Haruhi groaned, "Is that why you were late?"
"Yes I had to speak with their parents and sadly they weren't more mature than their sons." Takashi said as he climbed into bed.
Haruhi shook her head, "It really took you four hours to speak with them?"
Takashi glared at her, "Are you suggesting I'm lying?"
Haruhi threw her hands up in frustration and raised her voice, "I'm just saying I needed you today!"
"Well maybe I needed you too!" Takashi raised his voice back, "If you spoke with them instead it wouldn't have taken so long."
"If you were better at communicating you wouldn't need me to speak for you!"
Haruhi hadn't realized what she said until the words were already spoken. They hung in the air between them, darkening the shadows in their bedroom corners and thickening the air between them.
She saw his eyes widen in hurt and she instantly regretted her quick words in anger. She didn't mean to say it like that.
She reached out to him but he shrugged her off, turning his back to her as he pulled the blanket over his torso and nestled into his pillow.
"Takashi I'm sorry I didn't mean it-"
"Goodnight." Was all he said, his voice darkened in pain, before turning off his lamp and letting the darkness bring silence.

Okay what if beloved is a detective who helps Terry to get outta that prison cell (cage) because she investigated his case (even though it wasn't her case to worry about) . She found out that there is more to the situation at hand than what's been given...Terry's actions after he finds out ?
Would be funny if beloved took a particular interest in this case and they thought Terry is some wrongly judged old man who's a victim of circumstance, but the more they dig into his files, the more inexplicable, confusing and inconsistent dirt they find on this guy, and it just doesn't entirely compute, you know? There's a big disconnect here. Man was involved in charities, fundraisers, took an interest in the lives of (reads smear on hand) disenfranchised teens from disenfranchised neighbourhoods, he attended Shabbat regularly, he was on the verge of funding some sort of Mindfulness App that got dropped, he was well respected in the upper echelon of his community for decades, known for something of a sweet-talker and a playboy in the past but nothing beloved hasn't encountered with rich LA men before, flaunting an immaculate reputation, he was a mild-mannered entrepreneur who spoke up about the 'importance of mental health', a veteran, sure, he appearantly had some personal issues with his own health and visited a therapist and treated his addiction but a person can't be jailed for trying to help themselves for past mistakes, and now he's somehow in jail. Something isn't right here. His track record wouldn't indicate that this is where he'd wind up.
Like, I somehow think Terry's case would be baffling to research.
Why?
Because I think there isn't anything troubling in his biography or record on the surface. Like, it wouldn't be that obvious at all. He isn't unlike every other businessman ever. Better, even! Is there such a thing as an ethical Billionaire? Well, appearantly, Terry Silver came pretty close. Sure, there's something really confusing about Dynatox and an incident in Borneo back in the 80's and then a whole big admirable blank on Mr. Silver's various positive pursuits for over thirty plus years. And now, there he is, brought in for bribing a teenage Karate championship referee of all things and assault, in an incident also connected to same teenage Karate championship. It is...kind of ridiculous, from the standpoint of someone with a serious career in law enforcement who has seen some things in their time. And it is not like he can't pay bail either, which Terry undoubtedly does, with his lawyers working on the case too. Somehow, it ends up turning out that literally everyone else involved in said Karate championship has as much basis to end up being brought into questioning and even jailed as much as Terry Silver himself. Whoops.
Befriending him to inquire about all of this?
In the laughably short time he'd spend anywhere near a jail, realistically?
Realistically, he wouldn't even be in jail, but anyway ---
I think Terry takes the opportunity to get under the skin of a beloved researching him. Funny is, he'd charm them with nothing but the truth. He doesn't even need to lie to evoke tactical sympathy. He can just easily say he is an old man and that a couple of his business rivals broke into his house and hey, standing his ground, he was simply protecting himself in his own home...which is bafflingly enough, accurate. He has it on camera, he says. He was being provoked, he explains, for months after he took over his friend's dojo and people just wouldn't let him run it. It was mobbing! Scandal! Great thing about this character is that he can in effect manipulate people and turn things to his advantage by literally not telling a single lie. Naturally, beloved is aghast and once Terry is out of jail, I think he'd actually be rather fond of them and their desire to look into him and he is quick to befriend them further. Somehow, their sympathy feels nice and even addictive and Terry can easily imagine himself humbly (and strategically sparsely, he of course, wants to come off very poised about his ''suffering'') telling them how wrongly he was judged for hours while they coo at him caringly.
And he can, fresh out of jail, with the best bottle of whisky he owns.
It is a date.

Iron Fist Rewatch: 1x03: Rolling Thunder Cannon Punch
That's so terrifying. You look an entitled asshole in the eyes and say "no" when he tries to pressure you into doing something morally corrupt that would actively hurt another person - one who has specifically asked you for help - and then armed home invaders break in in the middle of the night. Ward is basically the mafia boss that Colleen has just pissed off, from her POV. No wonder she hates him.
Wow, now I want the fanfic where Colleen keeps calling Ward a mafia boss to his face. "Just because I'm under your mafia family's protection NOW doesn't make that time you put out a hit on me any better, mobster." "'Mob-' I never put out any 'hit'. I'm not the mafia." "You don't need to bother with pretence here, mob guy." (Danny helpfully does not point out that Ward definitely put out a hit on him, but the entire room is still painfully aware.)
Danny: Sorry the people trying to kill me broke your lock.
Colleen doesn't for one second find it out of the question that the cops might be in on the whole "corrupt rich white man is doing shady illegal things and trying to have a 'problem' 'fixed'" thing. Danny does, ("I haven't broken any law?") because Danny spent ten years as a rich white boy and then the next 15 in a culture completely separated from the rest of the world's reality. Or: Danny, a rich white boy, trusts the police. Colleen, who tries to make her dojo a safe space for a bunch of underprivileged majority bipoc kids living in the "bad part of town", does not.
Possibly the reason they speedrun us through Ward going up to the penthouse again is to remind the viewers how obnoxious it is to get up there before we see Danny climb the building later?
I forgot about this freaky tube thing. What is that? High tech coffin? lol. There's an implied "you should be unsettled by this" vibe to Harold's whole "it's so peaceful in here, I can't help but doze off" but when I don't know what the tube is the context is kind of lost on me.
Again with Ward calmly asking for an explanation about such a seemingly insane business choice, especially one that he's going to have to explain to people, and Harold brushing him off. Infuriating. And let's just toss in a sprinkling of "Joy has always been and always will be better than you, who can't do anything."
Harold: "Doesn't it occur to you that I'm doing this all for you?" Me: "SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP I HATE YOU." He doesn't even just say "I'm doing this for you." No, he has to say "Doesn't it occur to you that I'm doing this for you?" Rather than simply lying, he just has to back Ward into that corner. Ugh. UGH.
Ward: closes his eyes, long huff of breath. I should start a count of how many times he does this.
MY SKIN IS CRAWLING. Freaking Harold. Ugh ugh ugh he's the worst.
Danny you realize you're both disrespecting Colleen AND talking about pretty sensitive subject matter right in front of her student?
Joy: "We need to do the right thing." Me: "You keep telling yourself you're a person who cares about that, Joy."
Joy used to do Ward's homework for him????
Like, what?
Seriously, what?
Was this supposed to be a cute exchange? Because my Asian American upbringing says it's NOT.
Joy: "In another life, this would have been romantic." Danny: "Gross, you're my sister."
"You and Ward, you're the only link to a life that I had. It kept me going under very difficult circumstances." ;___;
Joy talking about clinging to her dreams of Harold meeting her after school and holding her hand and smiling at her in her grief after he died is making me so miserable. To Joy, Harold means comfort.
Danny: *Starts talking about ghosts* Joy: Oh right, he's crazy.
Colleen: "You dishonor yourself when you fight for money."
Jeri, who has literally been mind-controlled, almost got murdered slowly and painfully, and brought a killer to her wife,
Young intern Jeri Hogarth calling the boss's secretary a "hatchet faced bitch" and then bribing said boss's 10yrs or younger kid not to tell is. Well. It sure is a thing.
I still want Danny inviting Jeri to Defenders friend group hangouts and Foggy and Marci both blanching. Jessica and Jeri can snark at each other and Danny can be like "You're friends too! I didn't know!! :D"
Honestly, I would have watched a whole show on the intricacies of classism issues, with the Elite like Jeri and the Meachums teaching Danny how to live and maneuver in that world and Colleen and the dojo and Big Al teaching Danny about the reality of life for the lower class, and our golden-hearted Danny in the center of it, consistently determined to do what's Right,
Joy: lol, isn't this such a fun, teasing, sibling-banter thing we do, me joking about how I'm going to close this deal and you would only endanger it?
Harold: punches trainer full in the face, then casually suggests weapons next time while the guy is still groaning on the ground
Is Gao terrorizing Harold and making him kneel on glass supposed to make me feel for Harold? No one deserves this but that doesn't make Harold magically not a monster.
Danny.... just taking over lecturing the class is not respectful to Darryl or Colleen either.
Danny: "What kind of soldier training is this? They're acting like kids!" Colleen: "That's the POINT! I am not training them to be soldiers, I am creating a safe space for them to be kids when they usually can't be in the rest of their lives." Danny's warped K'un Lun upbringing really shows here. It's heartbreaking to remember that Colleen isn't just some good samaritan either - that she was raised in a cult too and has her own warped upbringing viewpoints.
A line I need to appear in a Ward/Misty/Claire pov fic: "Colleen tends to seem normal because most of the time she's next to Danny. It's easy to forget that actually, she's completely batshit."
Colleen keeps throwing Danny out for bringing trouble to her doorstep and then not really fighting it when he sticks around anyway (Which: Danny. Danny, this is problematic behavior, Danny.) - it's when he becomes a danger to her students that she gets serious about it. Even if Danny wouldn't physically harm them again, he is now a drain on their mental health: he represents a potential danger, a reason to be constantly on guard, and a removal of their safe space.
Ward clearly has no idea what the heck Joy is doing. It's all very troubling and this family is so messed up.
The way Ward ever so slightly shakes his head at Joy as she bribes Patel with his nephew's actual life.
The blanket into snow is a great transition shot
Joy feels like Ward refuses to tell her things the same way Harold refuses to tell Ward things! But Ward doesn't actually have the ability to tell Joy anything because he doesn't know anything! Ugh!!
On Joy's desk: a photo of her and Ward toasting at some party. She also has a copy on her shelf at home.
Joy poured her blood sweat and tears into Rand. She's proud of it. To Ward, it's a prison.
Wait so their plan is that there's no record that Danny Rand ever existed? Like, besides. The city's collective memory? People know about Danny Rand, guys. You need to delete the ability to connect this adult man to Danny Rand, not young Danny's entire paper trail. I mean, anything linking them would be included in literally everything about Danny but still. Seems unnecessary and suspicious?? I know nothing about crime.
Jeri casually constantly reminding Danny that the Meachums are the corrupt villains of this story must be really messing with Danny's head. Not that she's wrong. Poor boy.
"Isn't it obvious!? I'm not your sister. He's not your brother. We don't want you here." brb crying forever
I have to appreciate that this fight moderator is actually trying to run a semi-safe tight ship behind the showmanship
"Cut the Floyd Mayweather shit." Floyd Mayweather: a former professional boxer, competed from 1996-2015. Often referred to as the best defensive boxer in history, as well as the most accurate puncher. Nicknamed "Pretty Boy" by his amateur teammates because his defensive technique left him with relatively few scars.
That whole Randy biting Colleen (breaking the rules about going too far laid out at the start of the fight) and then her climbing on top of him to keep on punching after he's down was really framed like one of those troubling "the hero loses control and it's bad" type scenes.
I am very curious about Jeri and the Meachums' history. Jeri and Ward snark at each other so much in this meeting. And they definitely seem amused while doing so. Also Joy was like "Hogarth" at Ward earlier, and Jeri described their relationship as "complicated" to Danny.
Ward slumps down in his seat so he's lower than anyone else in the room, despite probably being the tallest. This is probably meant as a show of dismissiveness: Danny's case is so insignificant that he doesn't need to respect them by sitting up straight - but it IS interesting, from a power dynamics in staging perspective.
Ward, who has a constant escape plan of stealing from his employees and running away with Joy, plus was literally talking about leaving and starting over with nothing earlier in this same episode: "It could have been easy. You could have taken the money and had a great life."
The elevator level can be controlled by the lobby man???
Another picture of presumably child Joy on Harold's desk, as a toddler this time. How many does he have?? This is cruel set dressing.
Harold playing on Ward's loyalty again. "I need you to help me. I don't have anyone else."

To Be In Orbit (Day 7 of Momoharu Week)
((Gosh it’s been a journey of two ship weeks and having a lot of fun in trying out new characters. Thank you all so much for your support as I wangled my way through this.))
Prompt: AU/Free Day
Summary: During quarintine Kaito has been spending an awful lot on Animal Crossing before Maki could be invited. Little did she know that her man has a plan.
You can read under the cut or here at my AO3
Maki arrived on Curiosity and she knew right then and there that she was going to have to brace herself for all things that were space. “MakiRoll! You made it!” Kaito’s voice cheered over the discord voice chat they were in. It was easier to talk through a mic than to use the speech bubble. Maki prided herself on being a fast typer, but...Kaito could be a slowpoke. She brought out her NookPhone for a moment to see if her guess was right. “So you’d never guess what the shape of this island is!”
“It’s a rocketship.” Maki confirmed as she put away the NookPhone and decided to leave the airport’s entrance. He...did a remarkable job on crafting the island so that it would look like a space ship. There was a pond at the top of the island to indicate a window, and she saw that he had made some sort of cliff side for the rockets that were underneath the ship. She would have to explore the island to see for herself how he crafted it. She was also amused by all of the red flowers that he planted. Mostly red and purple roses. How he managed to enough purple to cover the majority of the island, she couldn’t guess. “Did you breed these?”
“No Kaede’s and Shuichi’s island has a whole bunch of pink and purple.” Kaito explained. “They let me take some. Kokichi oddly enough made me go to his island to get some too.”
“Was that why you were screaming at your console?” Maki had heard him shout about something or another and she had thought it was Kokichi who managed to sneak onto Kaito’s island or had just decided to “bribe” him into going on his. “Did you do the rocket yourself or did Shuichi help?”
“Of course my sidekick helped! We even got Himiko and Tenko to take part in it too. Come on you’re not going to get all of the nitty gritty standing there.” Kaito’s character spun around in circles around her before racing off. Maki decided not to drag her feet and followed him. He had placed the houses in a way that made sense too. He had tried to make the shops diagonal from each each other to represent wings. On the other side of the island, he did that with the villagers as well. The whole middle of the island, while covered in flowers and fruit trees, also had a goregeous set up of a park. Going further and she could see that he went out of his way to recreate memories.
There was a restaurant that was on the river side. Their first date had been at a restaurant at a river side. Then there was the house that he made that was...very much like their own house. She didn’t miss that he had managed to find a way to hang a weapon on the walls and that there was artwork of them. Angie must have provided it. She also caught on that there was planets and galaxies that were decorating the non-flowered parts of the island. The Milky Way, the Andromeda, the different planets. She even saw her own constellation for her birthday and right next to that was Kaito’s.
Small flags were starting to rise up in Maki’s mind. Out of everything that he could have put in his island, it was space and her and flowers. She spoke to some of the villagers, mostly to see if they’d randomly drop a hint as to what was going on. Most of them were just excited to see her, and she got a DIY recipe that she already had. She would have to see if Ryoma or Rantaro needed it since they didn’t play too much. Kaito dragged her everywhere, showing her where he placed the waterfalls for the river, and how he tried only to have a few cliffs.
It was a very romantic island, and a very him. “That explains the days you decided to lock yourself in your room or playing when you have a nightmare.” Maki said after a moment, taking it in. “It’s really beautiful. You did a good job.”
“Thanks Maki Roll, but the best hasn’t even been shown yet!”
There was more to this island?! “What more can you possibly show me?” She asked as she randomly decided to take out her clothing wand and change her outfit. She always liked the the badassery of the tank top and shorts and it was supposed to be summer. Not that it felt like that due to the quarantine, but...the sentiment should stay the same regardless in the video game.
“The shooting stars!” Kaito exclaimed, his character emoting the encouraging reaction. Maki reacted using the thinking and he responded playfully with the worried. “Come on.” He pleaded through the mic. “Stay for the stars! We can't really see them in the city.”
That was fair. It also wasn’t like they didn’t do it in the game either. She could also gather material if she timed the wishes correctly. She decided to react with the pleased reaction. “Okay.” She said. “I’m going to assume you have a spot all picked out too.”
“You got it Maki Roll. Come on, follow me.” He lead her up towards the point of the rocket, guiding her up and up inclines. More and more stars and planets on the ground but also...little things that if she only ran through she wouldn’t have caught. There was a place filled with musical instruments that, if one were to visit his island blindly would think he had nowhere to put them. She recognized it as a memory of Kaede’s concerte that they went to. Then they saw Shuichi’s hat, where he had abandoned it a long time ago, growing out of being anxious. Himiko’s magic show that they got to watch. Tenko’s dojo...all little items of punching bags, and magician wands, most of them artwork that was on open display and items that were made using the pro-designer. How long did Angie work on Kaito’s request?! How many of these were borrowed or were given to him through Shuichi and Himiko?
“A path of memories?” Maki questioned.
“Well there’s this American song that Rantaro made me listen to that was called the Staircase to Heaven and I don’t know anything about those lyrics, but the title made me think of what I think.” Kaito explained. “Look it’ll make sense later. We can’t dawdle, the stars don’t wait for anyone!”
She wanted to look through more of the memories, but she decided to press for information later. They got to the third tire and he ran all the way to the tip point of the rocket. A telescope already in place as well as a springtime picnic display.
Those flags of hers were getting louder. “I’m going to get off call.” Kaito said suddenly. “Can I come sit with you?”
“As long as you’re six feet away from me.” Maki wondered if he could even tell that she was joking through the microphone. She could hear him laugh and she felt herself relax. They disconnected on the computer and Kaito took no time in coming and sitting down next to her. “What was with the space?” She asked after a moment as he got settled on their bed.
“No reason.” Kaito mused. “Just thought you’d rather explore than to peek through my screen about what I was doing.”
Kokichi called Shuichi a terrible liar but she wondered if the gremlin ever caught Kaito in one. Then again, that would probably give him too much power. A chime echoed through both of their switches and Kaito cheered as he looked at the screen. Without having to say a word, they both pressed a button and wished on the stars that were coming down.
It must have been a meteor night. She felt herself relax as they enjoyed the moment, trying to catch and wish. “Hey Maki Roll. What did you think of the island?”
“You put a lot of work into it.” Maki wondered if there was more he was looking for, but Kaito seemed pleased with her answer regardless. “What did you wish for on the stars?” He knew that she wouldn’t actively make a wish. There was no point if the star wasn’t real. Meanwhile, Kaito was an idealist on the best occasion. A false star in a game was just as good as a real star out of it.
“If you’d marry me.”
“What?” Maki wasn’t sure if she heard right and picked her head up from her screen to see that he was actually holding an open ring box. It was..simplistic and gorgeous and Kaito was grinning as he held it out to her. “I…” She wasn’t used to being stunned stupid. “I knew you were planning something.”
“That’s not a yes or a no.” Kaito chided lightly, but he turned a little serious. “I’m pretty sure you saw all of the...items that I left in the pathway. Little things that I know that you and I share. I want to do that with you. Share more memories, be with you. You make me happy, Maki and I hope I make you happy too. I love that you call me an idiot sometimes because I know you care and you worry. I love your pout and how you get flustered. I love your smile, your determination to get things done. I just...love you and I want to continue loving you so…” He gently nudged the box towards her. “This is me, asking you, if you’d marry me.”
“Do you want to die?” Maki asked, but she let a hidden smile slip on as she gently held her left hand to him. “You're stuck with me. No one else would put up with you.”
“I wouldn’t want anyone else.” Kaito grinned as he slipped the ring onto her finger.

I've asked in the past what might differ if Sam, and not Tory, caught Silver paying off the referee. With a bit of time having passed, honestly the way I see things going in season 5 would be something to the effect of this:
Sam happens to see Silver and the referee through the blinds while on her way to grab her stuff from the locker room. She hears just enough to realize that she lost because she got cheated out of a win.
Sam tells her dad and Johnny about this. And they, plus Amanda and Chozen, spend the first half of the season building a case against Silver for rigging the tournament, and why they think the tournament should get a do-over. Thus, 5x05 sees Daniel bring Sam before the All-Valley committee to make the case that the season 4 AVT's results should be invalidated and a do-over tournament should be scheduled. Sam makes a speech to the AVT committee not unlike Miguel's town hall speech in 3x08, and just like she provided support for him there, he provides support for her here, helping her make the case for why she, and everyone else in Miyagi-Do, Eagle Fang and the other dojos, deserves a second chance.
Fortunately, the committee are won over by Sam's case. They have known Daniel for years, not to mention there is the fact that Cobra Kai was banned after the 1985 tournament because of Silver's shenanigans there too. An announcement is made that "in light of Samantha LaRusso's allegations of bribery and match rigging, the 2019 All-Valley Tournament results have been invalidated. A do-over tournament is scheduled for the first weekend of September."
Tory is made to return her trophy, the last few episodes of season 5 are about the dojos all preparing for the new All-Valley, and the season finale is about this do-over All-Valley that climaxes in a Sam vs. Robby finals fight.
That's an interesting series of events for sure, but...that would also rely on the AVT committee not being as much of a joke as they were in s5 canon. I mean...really guys, gendered divisions now? Implying that no girls have fought in the AVT before s1?
(I guess that was the writers' implication, which...is not the progressive take they think it is. There's no way s1 was the first time there were female fighters)
Plus, we see in the show that the AVT committee frequently prioritizes Kreese (and Silver, I think? But definitely Kreese) over Daniel and Amanda (and Johnny, but at least that makes sense within the context of what canon has told us). Sam and Miguel managed to convince them in s3, but that's because they kept pushing and refused to budge...and the fact that Miguel was the victim of 2x10 who was in Cobra Kai under Johnny and Kreese helped too.
Oh, and given that Silver is known for bribing pretty much everyone who gets in his way, it's not unreasonable to think he'd do the same to the committee. So while this would be cool to see in theory, the execution probably wouldn't be quite like this.
