Does Terry Silver get nervous butterflies when in love? I like to think about his sensitive side, if such a thing exists.
---
Oh, it exists alright.
He's pacing up and down, trying on several different outfits, putting his stylists through hell because the impression he wants to leave matters more than anything else right now --- he's overthinking, he's overplanning, his mansion is practically under siege, the long-suffering Margaret is reminding Mr. Silver that he should please, most respectfully, calm down before he blows a fuse because here he is, practically vibrating with excitement and buying expensive gifts in advance...and then buying several additional ones while soaking in his jacuzzi because the first one seems somehow insufficient to what he desires (and he's imagined you'll desire). He's making call after call that is meant to ensure he's delivered every bit of information, intel, every purchase, every commission, that every order is put into motion, that every piece of the puzzle that'll ensure him, say, a perfect outcome to something he's envisioned or planned with his beloved is completed to his specific instructions; he's all movement, all enthusiasm, all euphoria, he's weaving schemes in advance like he just made the business deal of a lifetime. He's been at it since one in the morning. Now, it's two in the afternoon...the next day. Man hasn't slept in over twelve hours and nobody knows exactly where he seeps the energy or endurance from; but whatever the source, there seems to be an infinite abundance of it. He's all giddy, all smiles, all laughter and that's Terry Silver in love for you. The human incarnation of a happy pill.
Impossible to contain or calm down.
His butterflies are absolutely on steroids and hitting new highs, loudly flapping away hard enough to cause a windstorm in his gut that'll put a pep in his step like he's a child about to meet his most cherished playdate after being separated for merely a day for all we know, running on excess energy, forcing everyone around him to just try and keep up with his overall stamina and increasing demands --- and good luck with that one. Milos Dadok could be there, diligently almost running behind a long-legged Mr. Silver, carrying bouquets containing a hundred and one red roses because it's go big or go home at every hour of the day in this dojo, grimly and very seriously attempting to pace himself to his Boss' wide, eager strides as he hauls the flowers forward followed by a team of staff members marching where Terry wants and needs them to be. They're on a tight schedule here! They've an agenda! Man could be any age at any time and he'll behave like a school boy about to go a first dance.
So, not only can he be sensitive, he's...I mean, look at this beautiful face?
Tumblr media
☝️I envision Terry Silver in love is like that 24 / 7.
It's everything or nothing with him.
Guy beams infectious, boyish, unspoiled happiness like a nuclear reactor and when he truly cares and it's written all over him, I feel. All over his body language. His face. His expression. His energy. His behavior. His deeds. All of it. There's no doubt in mind this guy's enamored because when he is, emotions are open and raw. Beloved walks into the room and he immediately has this triumphant, shit-eating full mega-watt smile with two rows of teeth entirely on display at the mere sight of them as he runs towards them and his whole face along with his eyes just laugh with him. He lights up. I wouldn't say it is nervousness in the classical sense because I don't feel he ascribes to feeling, cultivating or nurturing any emotion he might view as limiting to his ambitions (in this case, his ambitions being beloved's affection), but nonetheless, it is the type of love one cannot hide and definitely the manner of reaction everyone dreams and yearns to be greeted with. He's just overjoyed. If anything, Terry Silver's very courageous and even adorably overbearing with his butterflies.
He can be the sweetest person ever or a literal nightmare.
Best pray he doesn't see you as an enemy.

°•°♡°•°♡°•°♡°•°♡°•°♡°•°♡°•°♡°•°♡°•°♡°•°♡°•°♡°•°♡°•°♡°•°♡°•°♡°•°♡°
- Terry had come a long way from the person he once was during his Vietnam days. He's no longer the skinny, doe-eyed, somewhat innocent kid who came from a rich family all to prove to his father(and himself) that he is a man.
- He had an empire of his own now, dynatix industries, a nuclear waste disposal company that had been handed down to him by his father. He's done plenty of shady things, getting on the cover of the latest magazine and news papers was a regular thing for him. His physique was envied by men who were associated with him even. Perfectly sculpted face and an equally perfect charm to go with it.
- He had a playboy reputation with more money than most in the upper crust society. He's manipulative and will use any tactic he sees fit if needed. Everyone else is below him and he always had a good time toying with people. He's had his time with girls of every race, age , color, you name it. When Terry Silver wants something, he will definitely get it. So when he sets his sites on his beloved for the first time, he isn't bewildered immediately until he finds out more about them.
- If anything he sees them as the enemy at first, a stigma that's been around since the time he's been to Vietnam. He never forgot what happened there. Waking up in cold sweat after seeing his friend killed right infront of him, the bomb blasts and torture they all had gone through. A parting gift of the war.
- his beloved has certainly perked his interests though, whether they're apart of his upper crust society or simply a nobody there's definitely something about them that he can't seem to look past them. Maybe it's their features that is embedded in his head after he first saw them.
- Or it could be their characteristics or personality that's different from every woman he's ever been with. Maybe it's the way they walk, the way they talk, heck maybe it's the way they breathe. Terry will notice everything.
- Terry finds himself looking for beloved all the more. No amount of coke or bedding woman who even looks like them does the trick. He finds himself needing to find out everything about his beloved. He'd immediately thought of hiring an entire team of private investigators to find out every little thing about them. He wants to know their history, who is responsible for bringing his newly formed 'problem' into this world.
- He eventually sets on doing the job by himself. Stalking them, breaking in and entering into their home whilst they're in a deep sleep. He by hearted they're daily routine, he knows when they're in a deep sleep during the late hours of the night. He knows what they eat, what they wear, what hobbies they have, all down to what brand of shampoo they use. He utilizes anything that will help him understand what they are all about.
- He'd sometimes leave something behind in they're home, a dingy apartment unworthy of beloved in his eyes regardless of how well maintainedit is or not. Maybe a hundred dollar bill or even his own semen on their pillows after jerking off on their bed. He'd take something for himself too. Maybe a pair or two of beloved underwear suddenly goes missing.
- After everything he's come to know of beloved with them being none the wiser, he curates a persona of himself that fits all of beloved needs and wants ultimately becoming their dream man before he comes face to face with them again.
- Terry entraps beloved in his web afterwards. He makes sure they're smitten with him and never suspects a thing, giving them everything he knows they want from a partner gaining their trust over a short span of time. Once he's got them where he wants them he would reveal his true self. Ultimately hurting beloved so deeply because they are in fact the enemy. There's a price you have to pay for taking up so much of his time and consuming his mind.
- He thinks he's finally gotten what he wanted after breaking beloved completely but he still isn't able to move past them. It finally dawns upon him that he is in fact in love with beloved and no matter what he tells himself he cannot find anyone to replace them, no amount of coke or people who look like them.
- Terry sets about getting them back this time as himself. No matter where beloved goes he will find them. He will kidnap them if need be in the occasion of them denying everything he's offering them. He will help them see reason in time. He will go to any lengths to make sure beloved remains at his side.
- Stockholm syndrome will be in full swing. He erases the identity beloved once had as no one has the right to so much as know what beloved looks like without his permission. He'd estrange beloved from they're friends and family making them see how he's the only one they need.
- Preparations for the wedding will be in full swing. The wedding of the century. Everyone will know and will be ultimately shocked that playboy Terrence Silver has settled down. The entire world would know months in advance yet they would never see the actual ceremony regardless of the royal standard preparations that's been made. Terry's beloved is for his eyes only.
- The media only gets a single glimpse of beloved and they're rarely seen afterwards. Only when Terry deems it fit at some gala or event. Rest assured, no other woman ever crosses his mind again. He's fully consumed by beloved without them knowing the power they truly have on him. He'd go to any lengths to sure them his devotion too.
- beloved is the only one he'd trust with the truly gruesome parts of his life, through the Vietnam flashbacks where he'd sometimes need to hold them tightly the entire night or sometimes just their presence in the room at a distance. They've seen it all with him including the way he's beloved friend John Kreese had left him when things went down south. Beloved is the only thing that helps keep him grounded.
- Terry eventually starts a legacy of his own with beloved making sure that everything goes as he planned. Nothing is too much or unnecessary for his Silver empire.
Decades later he looks at himself in the bathroom mirror, thinking of how everything had suddenly took a turn in his life that one fateful day he'd set his eyes on beloved. His reflection stares back at him and next to it, ponytail stands with a smile on his face. His long lost war buddy whose personality and traits he's personally taken over as a tribute to his friend.
"You've chosen well twig." , ponytail says and vanishes in the next second leaving Terry smiling faintly at the thought. Letting his now silver colored hair down from its confines, he goes into his bedroom joining his beloved in bed.

pls drop some cobra kai terry silver x reader dating hcs 🙏 thank you very much <3
Hey anon thank uuuuu saur much for this request I don’t know which Terry you want so I’m just doing cobra Kai Terry aka sugar daddy Terry ✨🌸🐈 oh wait I’m dumb I just realized u specified okay we good 💀🌸
Dating Terry Silver ✨🌸🤍
Meeting Terry at an event or gala, he was naturally charmed by your beauty and personality, so of course he had to get your number. Terry isn’t one to normally be a looker, but when his cobalt blue eyes laid themselves upon you, he knew you were special and would feel an insane amount of regret if he let you go without getting a single word in.
At first, you were very flattered by the fact that he was intrigued by you, but it was the intimidation you felt that made you reconsider before even warming up to the idea that he would be your boyfriend. wealthy, confident, intelligent, Terry was everything you believed you weren’t.
Except Terry wasn’t like that around you at all. Yes, Terry knew how to play a part and to be honest, he knew when to do it—especially if it would benefit him in any way, shape or form. However with you, it was all real. He didn’t need to fake any emotions because the more time he spent time with you, the more you brought out the best of him.
In the early stage of your relationship, there would be a small concern of apprehension due to the age gap between you and Terry. Terry is older and because of that it sparks an interest in terms of people constantly being one to judge the two of you. Are you with him because he just so happens to be a billionaire or do you genuinely love him? A lot of the times that question would flow through peoples thick skulls when they’d take one glance of you as a couple, but you guys never seem to mind because you each share a connection much more stronger than jealousy or disgust.
That being said with terrys age, I believe at some point Terry would feel rather insecure; a feeling he avoids because of its revelation to being weak. So with that unfamiliar feeling being plagued within his mind, Terry would try his best to stay in touch with all the “youthful” things you do. For instance, he was never a man to ever be seen texting someone—why text people if you can just get your receptionist to do it? But then you came along and started messaging him non-stop throughout your relationship
You would text Terry something as simple as “decided to go to a cafe, miss you tho x” and within a matter of seconds you’d receive two notifications. The first one letting you know that your beloved boyfriend sent you $150 through venmo and the second being a text from Terry himself saying “enjoy your delicacies, my darling.”
On the subject of spoiling you, Terry loves to do just that. Wether it’s roses sent to you first thing in the morning or having his chefs prepare your favourite meal on the days you spend in one of his mansions, Terry adores the feeling of showering you in his love. It puts a big, loving smile on his face to see you flourish in the happiness that comes from the things he gives you as well as the internal feeling you receive from him.
Money is no expense for Terry, it really isn’t considering how much of it he has and with so much, it’s only reasonable that he spends it on you. Early on in your relationship it seemed as if terry was stunting—taking you to the most exquisite restaurant in Malibu only to be driven home by him in his red Ferrari. Once you realized that was the normal for terry, you relished with the fact it would soon become yours too. Of course, you never took it for granted and you still tried to live normally until he practically shamed you for ever having to pay for something on your own. He liked having that control and for once, it started to grow on you.
On your more simplistic nights in, it would include you and terry enjoying whatever fancy wine he brought from his cellar while he plays your favourite tune on his grand piano. you’d sit beside him, enjoying the flavours of the wine mixed with his beautiful melodies that surround the atmosphere of his cozy living room. He might even sing too, but for the most part he encourages you instead because he believes you have the voice of an angel, though you’d argue and say he’s the better singer and pianist.
It’s times like that that make you wish you could have that everyday considering the fact that you still don’t live together, but it’s no surprise that even early on in dating he’s already pursuing moves to make it become a daily thing.
“Sweetheart,” he pours the two of you more alcohol, the eagerness in his tone becoming more persistent with each glass you both finish, “move in with me, I promise you, you wont regret it.”
Moving in with him is a dream, you love nothing more than the emotion you feel after awakening from your slumber only to find him right next to you. Sometimes he even wakes you up by kissing you softly on the lips, a wake up call that’s way better than any alarm clock. Other mornings he’s gone because duty calls and work is still his top priority, asides from you. Nonetheless, he’s still Terry and when you do wake up alone, he’s either left you a note along with breakfast being served to you in bed or a simple text that states “sorry, meetings back to back. Be ready for when I come home, I’ll be taking you out to your favourite restaurant. Hope you slept well 🤍”
God I love this man 😍✨😩 ty for the request angel! All of u feel free to send moreeew

Who doesn't adore our wonderful silver fox?😏Thank you for sending this request anon 🖤 Of course you get a scenario about him. 🙏
Part one🖤
It was early in the morning, I was in the kitchen making some breakfast for me. The last few weeks have been terrible . Since Cobra Kai had new dojos and senseis, Terry and I hadn't much time together. He came home late and left early. I missed him dearly and just thinking about the current situation brought tears to my eyes. "Alright sweetheart I'm leaving, don't wait for me it's gonna be late." Terry said. "Yeah whatever." "What was that?" he asked. I looked him right in the eyes "I said whatever." he gave me a confused look, put his bag down and took a step towards me. "What's with that attitude? Are you on your period? What's your fucking problem?" "Oh you want to know what my problem is? Suddenly you're interested in my feelings, alright Terry let's see what my fucking problem is." I walked over to the wall, ripped the calendar off and slammed it on the counter. "Two weeks ago, our anniversary. I sat in that restaurant for two hours waiting for you and you didn't show up, you didn't even remember we had plans." I pointed on another date "Last week, the wedding of my best friend. I was gone for three days Terry and you didn't even notice . And last but not least my birthday three days ago. That is my fucking problem Terrance."

Credit to @terrence-silver @senka-mesecine do not repost without their express permission
Once upon a time - that is, some time this week - I thought up an Irish farm where Terrence Silver and his beloved might rest while riding the Atlantic coast. A mere concept, as you will. But then @terrence-silver took the vaguest sliver of a notion and brought it alive in this post, which is beautiful as ever and you should all go read. Which then of course gave rise to this continuation and voilà, Dougal and Kathleen Clarke, of Mayo County, Ireland, saw the light of day. But I've never had anyone draw a character I've created and look at them! You're right, @terrence-silver, that Dougal is the one slightly more attuned to the doings of the fair folk. He'll talk your ear off in the pub if you let him and Kathleen loves that about her fella, he's such a good craic, but sometimes it's up to her to keep his head out of the clouds. Still both of them are not stupid. You can't be out here, you couldn't make it.
And as such. They don't see dwarves and fairies everywhere they go, and Kathleen certainly will call building inspection before believing anything about a haunting. Then again, you have to be attuned to the places you dwell, don't you? They have soul and history and you ignore that to your detriment. You can see it with those poor American bastards. Cut themselves off from everything that came before, and proud of it too - worse, when it comes to the Africans among them, to have their roots purposely taken from them, stories erased, bonds broken. It is a wicked shame, so it is. But here they come, year after year, looking for what they were driven from, or chose to leave behind.
But they don't often stray this far, not without a guide, and when they do, it's not like that - they rather make an awful ruckus, looking for reception or wifi, or whatever thingamabob the young'uns carry these days. They don't look of what the stories tell.
And though Dougal may love a good craic, he is not going to accuse every tourist of being Fae in disguise. Such nonsense, and anyway, it would be exceptionally rude. But if you've been warned of things that may dwell, not to heed such warnings is foolish.
Yes, you're probably wrong. Keep your suspicions to yourself, so. But if he meets someone who walks like the fair folk, talks like the fair folk, and has a companion who bears no name - well, who's to tell him he's not taken it from her? "Mrs. Terry Silver", no one is born that way!
They look happy enough, his Kathleen agrees, but the dark tones you've rendered them in above are appropriate: they are keeping their wits about them. Doesn't mean they won't share drink and song and wish them the best besides. They know love when they see it; their guests wish them no ill (they mostly have eyes for each other). But nothing that has happened since has disproven their assessment, and sometimes, very late at night, Kathleen whispers that he was right in gifting them their best whiskey.

Helena Bertinelli x Female Reader - Getting Married
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hope the person who requested this enjoys this and sorry for taking so long :)
Word Count: 1,585
A/N: Y/F/N means Your First Name, Y/L/N means Your Last Name and the quotes are in italics and I obtained  them from the website Search Quotes - https://www.searchquotes.com/
Here it was. The moment you’ve been waiting for what seems like your life. Your wedding day, in just a few moments you were going to be Mrs Y/N Bertinelli, wife of the perfect Helena Bertinelli. Months and Months of planning it had taken to get to this point. Flashing back to one of the many days of planning with the wedding planner who was if memory served, was a real pain in the backside. During an especially exhausting afternoon with him, he quickly left our apartment to get some more examples of table settings to show the both of you for your big day. As soon as the doors closed behind him you immediately facepalmed and groaned into your hands. Helena was to the left of you and calmly carrying on with the work looking through of couple pictures.
“Not wanting to sound too mean here, but I’m about this close to killing someone,” you said scrunching your face and pinching your thumb and index finger together for emphases “Preferably him” you pointed at the closed door, your eyebrows raised showing anger written all over your face. You glanced at Helena before taking in a deep breath then exhaling. A faux attempt at calming down. When Helena spoke up, stopping what she was doing.
“You’re stressed,” she said not looking up at me
“How could you tell,” I said, my voice mumbled from my face buried in my hands
“Well if you wanna calm down, my crossbows’ under our bed,” Helena said causing me to raise my head up from my hands and stare at Helena “Just Make sure to aim for the head and...”
“Helena no, I don't really want to kill him,” I said softly, staring at her causing a childish grin to appear at my response. All the while still working and glanced down. The sound of footsteps suddenly invaded my ears signalling the return of our wedding planner, so I took another breath and put on my best-forced smile. He was just about to enter back into our apartment when out the corner of my eye Helena stopped what she was doing and leaned down and grab something. A Gun!
“hELENA NO!” I shouted, diving for the gun in her hand to get rid of it, causing Helena to fall out of the chair. So thankfully I choose to go through all of this with Helena. Flashing back to the present, catching sight of the clock and realising it was almost time, you reached over to grab the bouquet of flowers on the side table and turned around only to be met with your father. Ready to walk you down the aisle. Once you got to the towering double doors that behind was your entire future, butterflies suddenly took off in your stomach. Making you feel slightly sick. To shoo those feelings away, you imagined what Helena would be wearing, what colour her dress it would be and just how beautiful she would be. And then the doors opened and everyone stood up and as the music started to signal yo out of your thoughts to walk down the aisle. Seeing all your family and friends smiling proudly at you, then you finally get to see Helena in all her graceful glory. Her dress, a beautiful purple dress. Accentuated by white flowers and glitter trailed around her waist and fell all down the dress, resembling a trail of petals. The bottom of the dress was lined with silver.
“Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join Y/F/N Y/L/N and Helena Bertinelli in holy matrimony...” The Officiant began the introduction to the wedding as you and Helena stood in front of all of your friends and family. smiling proudly for you to have found just a perfect person like Helena, Helena however, had no family to look on at her proudly, but there was however her friends, the fellow birds of prey Renee, Dinah and Harley as her bridesmaids, standing off to the side of her all dressed up in their beautiful white bridesmaids' dresses smiling proudly at Helena. And with Bruce of course. Harley’s plus one Hyena compete with his hair neatly brushed and washed and wearing his own little red and black bow tie.
“Do you, Helena Bertinelli take this Y/N LN to be your lawfully wedded wife for better or worse in sickness or in health?” The Officiant said to her
“I do” Helena replied
“And do you Y/N take Helena Bertinelli to be your lawfully wedded wife for better or worse, in sickness and in heath?”
“I certainly do,” you said nodding and smiling hardly able to contain yourself
“It is now time for the vows,” the Officiant said, “To which I believe Y/N and Helena has decided to write their own vows, Ms Bertinelli would you like to start?” Helena simply nodded before Dinah reached over and gave a small piece of paper with her vows written on it. Helena took a deep breath to calm down and focus on this one moment she had been both dreaming and dreading of.
“Y/N I...I love you. Having you in my heart give me confidence, strength and a fresh hope to conquer anything life throws in my way. You give me a...give me a new light to life. I Love you ” Helena said before she suddenly stopped talking and having her eyes locked down onto the paper and her brows furrowed in intense concentration
“That was a quote I found on the internet by Terry Mark, and it perfectly encapsulates how I fell about you. Back when I was a little girl, my whole family was killed and had no one. Nothing but the need for revenge. Then spent the next 15 years training to fulfil that need for revenge. But luckily I had my friends Renee Montoya, Dinah Lance and Harley Quinn. But even outside of that I still had nothing, then I met you. And lucky doesn't even begin to cover you. Y/N, Your angelic sweet voice is music to my ears. No matter what has happened in during the day I just hear that voice and a smile bursts onto my face. Whatever battle or fight we may face, we will face it together. Whatever battle you will face, promise you I will stand beside you in eternal support. Because just like you promised to me, I will be here for you and never, ever give up on you. Now and forever. My Love. My Life, I love you...” There was a few seconds of silence before and glances before Helena spoke up again
“I...er...I’m finished, thank you,” she said, and gave a small, awkwardly smile. Then the Officiant turned to you to signal you to start reading your vows.
“Helena Bertinelli. I remember when I first met you, all tough and serious and somehow also shy and awkward. It was on a freezing cold Sunday night in December when I heard loud and rapid footsteps coming from outside and suddenly there was a knock at the door. So I walked over to it and it turns out it was this lovely person standing in front of me” you said gesturing to Helena who was blushing terribly causing you and others to chuckle.
“And as soon as I opened the door Mrs Bertinelli just ran past me into my apartment and whispering me to shut the door! shut the door now! Not wanting to be rude to a lovely lady I, of course, did what she said. And after that, I heard some more footsteps rushing up the stairs I was just about to see what the commotion was when Helena came up behind me and very swiftly puts a hand over my mouth and an arm snaked around my waist telling me Don't. Move. It was all very dramatic.” Pausing to take a breath, you saw Helena smile at you ushering you to continue.
“Was safe to say that I had fallen for you and fallen hard. Helena, your smile is beautiful and it brightens up my world and warms my heart when I see it and knowing that every morning that's what I’ll see for the rest of my life, is music to my ears” you said with a huge grin on your face. “And I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you”
“Mrs Bertinelli, please place the ring on Y/N’s finger as a symbol of your bond everlasting and say the following, with this ring, I thee wed,” The Officiant said in his deep voice and Helena reciprocated by taking her ring and grabbing your hand and repeated what he said
“With this ring, I thee wed”
“And Y/N if you could do the same,” he said slowly as you took the ring and grabbed Helena’s hand and slid the ring onto Helena’s finger. “With this ring, I thee wed”
“Well, by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you wife and wife. You may kiss the bride” The man said, and ignoring the butterflies soaring in your stomach you practically jumped forward and clashed yours and Helena’s lips together. The luscious taste of raspberry lip balm painted on her lips, Helena very soon reciprocated by swiftly moving her hands onto your cheeks and kissed back with as much passion. Just by this kiss alone, you knew that the rest of your life with Helena was going to be a hell of a good time.

Old man Terry slipping lactation pills in beloved's drinks and food and relishing in the way her body changes and her breasts become heavier, fuller, sore, bigger. I think he would do it as a means to control beloved and to obviously drink from it daily, believing it has benefits or something. When she lactates for the first time and is so confused, he feigns concern and gives her pills that he makes her believe it's for her health but it's to keep her producing milk. His good little calf.
Tumblr media
---
Of course it has benefits; mother's milk is the fountain of youth. Didn't you hear?
If Cleopatra could bathe in it, Terry Silver can drink it.
If it's good for a newborn, it's even better for an aging, power hungry Billionaire hellbent on quite literally latching unto and sucking dry whatever controlled and highly vetted source of health, longevity and strength he can like a vampire, and what a more fitting place for it to stem from than his very own beloved? Milk. It does a body good. A famous commercial from the 80's and 90's might come to Terry's mind as the idea occurs to him and of course the maintenance of a physique like his well into his sixth decade being alive doesn't come cheap (cheap, and not in the material sense, because Terry's more than willing to dish out cash) in fact, utilizing basic logic, it would be more and more complicated with each passing year; constant training, dedication, therapy, steam baths, devotion to the sport, very specific dietary choices. Yesterday, it was vegan screws and salads, but he so happens to find beloved's milk infinitely more appetizing, inviting and decadent to the degree he can and would induce their lactation through specific pills. Crushed in meals, crushed in beverages, crushed in a fine wine as they toast together over an intimate, romantic fine dinner for two. How very unassuming --- but he's here with an agenda. Terry Silver not only seeks rejuvenation because youth is the only thing money cant buy according to his own words, but he wants to consume in the general sense of the word. Consume beloved until they flow through his bloodstream, his organism, infused with his very bones; the things he breaks stone slabs with with such ease. The things he fights with. When he's in the midst of combat, it's like beloved's right there, alive and infused inside of his knuckles. You are what you eat, after all.
And of course, being Californian upper crust, he'd hear and see things.
He'd hear and see things for decades --- no doubt having participated too.
Celebrities eating their baby's placenta, Gwyneth Paltrow's beauty regimen that includes bee stings, Sandra Bullock's Hemorrhoid Eye Cream, Cate Blanchett's Foreskin Facials and Demi Moore's Leech Therapy. Hollywood's right next door. It would make Terry Silver's propensity for the strange and unusual almost seem commonplace; him drinking beloved's breast milk? Just another Wednesday in The Valley.
But, he cares. Of course he cares with every fiber of his being and his big, black heart. He tracks every change, every reaction, every sore and every bit of swelling surrounding beloved's body, perfectionist, control freak that he is. Their every complaint. Every bit of fluctuating transformation. Every bit of pain. Hell, he'd even bring in (a bribed off) doctor or ten to regularly check on beloved and quell any fears they might have by assuring them this is totally normal. It happens when someone's young and fertile; it is simply their concern he isn't truly surprised by because everything is going according to his plan and if he feigns anything, it's mostly innocence. But, Terry's far from innocent. This is him desiring to be one with beloved in every sense, consuming them, dominating them, wishing to take whatever he can from their youth and in equal measure, no doubt in mind it's a fetish too because the exchange simply turns him on. He is a dirty old man and he deliberately plays into it and just how very dirty and debauched he can be and that all by itself serves as a gleeful kink precisely because it's total filth. Total filth that totally amuses him. Perhaps even more so that he can expertly get beloved to actually allow him to drink from their breasts of their own volition to alleviate their pressure and pain they're feeling and have them thank him no less once it actually helps, perhaps utilizing a few well-learned massage moves of his as a gateway to everything that comes later. Oh, Terry the kindhearted saint, truly! What's best, beloved consented to everything of their own free will. Well, with some conditioning, white lies (in Terry's opinion) and slightly omitted details involved in the process, of course.
But, the ends justify the means.
Sooner or later, he'll sell the story to them in its entirety and have them agree to it regardless.
His good, perfect little calf indeed.
Not entirely out of the question he wont bottle samples and save them up behind a locked glass veneer in a specially refrigerated portion of his private wine cellar only he can drink from.

Hello! As a loyal AO3 user, I feel like I might be missing some nice fics that get posted only on ffnet... do you have any recs for Phrack fics over there? Thanks in advance, the Wardlow Collection rocks!
Tumblr media
FanFiction.Net Recommendations
Thank you for the ask, @earanie!
This is actually a tricky question, that has preoccupied the librarians quite a lot!
We’ve been debating how deeplywe should delve into the list, since ffnet is a whole platform. We decided – evenif this is hard for @whopooh to accept – that we can’t try to catch everything, but at least point out some really good stuff.
For the Miss Fisher fandom, therereally are differences between ffnet and ao3, and ao3 is much more used. For onething, ffnet is harder to navigate, since it doesn’t use tags. One can also seethat the fics come from slightly different fanons; ffnet tends to skew towards moretraditional gender roles (which is not to our personal taste, so we haven’t included them here), but there are some utterly wonderful fics there.
So, instead of trying to be supercomprehensive, we’ve added in some fics we really like, and we hope you’ll beable to navigate from there.
(Quite a few fics on ffnet are also on AO3, and none of them are included here, as much as it pains us.)
Gingham’s Repentance (2015) is a fic that most of the librarians love. Angsty, very well-written,and Jack takes a lot of (metaphorical) beating before it lightens up again. @olderbynow confesses that “it spoke to my x-files fangirl self, who could spend daysreading novel length mulder torture”. It also has a sequel, Through this Horror (2016).
Another angsty and beloved fic is Idolatrus’ Ulumbarra (2014-15), a rich story about Phryne and Jack having to hide away, and theirrelationship developing in this fraught time. To @firesign23, “Ulumbarra was one of the first long fics I read in the fandom, and one I come back to. It has beautiful scenery, Jack’s past, and a sure-fire setup of two people alone in an isolated location with emotions running high.“ Idolatrus has recently completed a newstory, Blue Sky, River Red (2018), which is an elaborate casefic that deals withinteresting Australian themes and social issues, and is a follow-on from the author’s 2015 ficathon fic Little By Little, Day By Day which was only very recently reposted to ao3. The angst comes from the possibility of Phryne and Jack being truly incompatible, no matter how much they may loveeach other, which may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
So, leaving the super angst, here’s somefun and sweet stories.
Katinka31′s Resemblance (2016) is a lovely fic about Jack’s family. Itcomes from a ficathon and used to be on ao3 too, but disappeared when those fics gotdeleted.
Another fun one is The Case of the Guardian Angel (2013),which @firesign23 especially likes for its take on Dot and Hugh as they try to solve the mystery of their mysterious benefactor and the generous wedding gift bestowed. Firebird9′s Compelling (2014) is a fic that @solitarycyclistadventures remembers for its combination of sweet and hot.
WhatsABriard Around the Block (2015), a post-Blood & Money fic which asks “are they sleeping together?” is a favourite of @ollyjayonline‘s, and @whopoohis fond of Firenze’s fun and cheeky The Book (2013-15), that weaves a storyline in parallel with the show’s progression, focusing on thatillicit book Phryne lends to Hugh. @whopooh also wants to rec a few shortbut very nice fics from a Cluedo challenge that has stuck in her mind, all of them by LemmingDancer: A Healing Touch, A night on the town, and A little mishap with a sword (2014).
For a Terry Pratchett lover, this crossovermay be fun: Firebird9′s Here Be Dragons (2014). Seldarius’ A Long Walk Home (2013) gives a moment of introspective Jack.
Gingham, the writer of Repentance, alsohas fics that are less angsty, like the very sweet Bedfellows (2016), and both @firesign23and @whopooh have a soft spot for all of them, so we’ll rec the entire writer’s catalogue.
@firesign23 also wants to recommend Elliott Silver’s Perihelion (2014). Set after the events of series one, it is an introspective and cosmological examination of what it means to be in the aftermath of answers, and finding balance.
Because we know how much you lovedmarried Phrack, there are two long series of fics that continue in their own world of marriage that might be up your alley: one is the fics by MissTempleton, and the other, that @kansteespecially remembers with fondness, is Seldarius Phryniverse.
These are some of the fics on ffnet, we hope you’ll enjoy them!

Musique Concrète and Other Experimental And Electronic Music
New Post has been published on https://grahamstoney.com/music/musique-concrete-and-other-experimental-and-electronic-music
Musique Concrète and Other Experimental And Electronic Music
Tumblr media
In the subject Creative Music Technology at university last semester, I was asked to listen to a collection of experimental and electronic music to stimulate my creative imagination, and to write what I liked and didn't like about it. Here's my rather cynical take on the genre.
Musique Concrète
Pierre Schaeffer and Pierre Henry – Symphonie pour un Homme Seul
youtube
This piece reminded me of Strauss’s Symphonia Domestica; only less musical. I’m a Homme Seul (single man) and my life doesn’t sound anything like this. In his book La musique concrète, Schaeffer described the work as “an opera for blind people…”. Haven’t they suffered enough?
Edgard Varèse – Poème Électronique
youtube
The audio equivalent of Luis Bunuel & Salvador Dali’s Un Chien Andalou.
Does to my ears what the asbestos coating on the walls of the Philips Pavilion at the 1958 Brussels World’s Fair for which it was commissioned, would do to my lungs.
György Ligeti – Artikulation
youtube
George Lucas must owe Ligeti millions in royalties for R2D2’s sound effects. Initially I thought I was joking when I first wrote that, but I’ve since discovered that he was actually trying to create a sort of phonetic speech in electronic music, which pretty much fits R2D2’s dialogue. Plus, the title is German for “articulation”. That should have been a giveaway.
I thought this piece might make more sense to me if I played it backwards, so I dropped it into Logic Pro X and reversed it. I couldn’t tell the difference. Perhaps I would have enjoyed it more if I listened to it in the original quadraphonic. I’ll just end noting that Ligeti abandoned electronic music after composing this piece.
Iannis Xenakis – Concret PH
youtube
2 minutes and 44 seconds of breaking glass to my ears. I think I’d rather listen to Kraftwerk.
Karlheinz Stockhausen – Kontakte
youtube
It’s long. It’s too long. I think this is how Jacob Collier learned to play piano in his mother’s womb; but look at him now. The title is German for “Contacts”, which I think Stockhausen interpreted as “Just hit the things.” Maybe it sounds better in the original quadraphonic.
Stockhausen was evidently a pioneer of the extended dance remix, as the work exists in several versions: “Nr. 12”, “Nr. 12½” and “Nr. 12⅔”
Bernard Parmegiani - Accidents / harmoniques
youtube
Parmegiani had studied mime before turning his hand to electro-acoustic composition, and in this piece it really shows. From the album De Natura Sonorum (the nature of sound). I felt like there were Martians in my head listening to this. Surely he’s just playing a joke on us.
Pauline Oliveiros – Bye Bye Butterfly
youtube
Bids farewell to the institutionalized oppression of the female sex while also providing inspiration for the sound of the Theramin. Gave my new monitor speakers a good workout; I hope the neighbours enjoyed it too.
Tape Loops
Steve Reich – It’s Gonna Rain
youtube
I’ve got this pervasive feeling that it’s going to rain. I’m not sure why. I liked the way the meteorological message panned left and right. More like It’s Gonna Have An Acid Trip.
youtube
Halleluiah Part II is over. I’m not sure how I lasted the full 18 minutes.
Terry Riley – Mescalin Mix
youtube
Parts of this sounded to me like an industrial version of native Australian bush sounds. I felt like I was on a camping trip in the 23rd century.
Brian Eno – 1/1
youtube
From his album Music For Airports/Ambient 1, which apparently coined the term Ambient Music. Brian Eno has a lot to answer for. However, this track put me in a relaxing state, ready to fall asleep on the plane; so I liked it.
Sampling
Luc Ferrari – Ronda, Spain, June 2001
youtube
After being jolted awake by the sound of a loud sliding door opening to greet the day, I was drawn into this by the sweet sound of a French woman’s voice. I imagined she was Ferrari’s lover, speaking to him in bed after awakening on a warm Spanish summer Sunday morning. I wanted to know what she was saying, but my French isn’t good enough. In my mind’s eye, they head to a busy market together to buy some croissants for breakfast, where we hear a man’s voice repeating “numero quatro”, which I assumed is Spanish for “number 4”. As the voices fade, the sound becomes more musical and we return to the soft sound of Ronda speaking to her beloved back in their villa together. I quite liked it.
My interpretation, however, is not what the composer had in mind. According to him, the point of Les Anecdotiques (The Anecdotals) is to dispense with the story altogether. My busy market was, in fact, the sound of Spanish tourists in a museum. While he describes the woman’s words as “Spontaneous and intimate”, in this context they are simply words in a foreign language with no narrative purpose. Just another one of Pierre Schaeffer and Michel Chion’s sound objects, if you will. My narrative interpretation of what was intended as an explicitly anecdotal work is testament to the human brain’s tendency to make meaning out of nothing. It turns out Rhonda is a village in Spain, not a woman.
Still, I enjoyed my little fantasy, thank you Luc.
John Oswald – Manifold
youtube
Wow, this was short. I didn’t even have time to eat breakfast while listening to it. It was only about as long as the Spotify ads, but certainly more fun. I recognised a couple of songs, like U2’s With or Without You and Sinead O’Connor’s Nothing Compares To You. Artists who use samples liberally often sample obscure works, sometimes affording them attention they would otherwise have missed; but in this work Oswald went mainstream. It sounded to me like the soundtrack to a sample-abusing hip-hop artist from the 1990’s being beaten up in a boxing ring by all the artists who reckoned he’d ripped off their work.
Tod Dockstader - Water Music: Part III
youtube
I quite liked this piece. The cuteness of the sounds and the stereo effects bouncing between the left and right channels really drew me in. I’ve recently got myself some decent monitor speakers for my home studio and this piece really worked on them. Pretty amazing for something released in 1963.
Dockstader started out in the 1940’s, prior to the invention of magnetic tape, editing his steel wire recordings with a lit cigarette. That makes me realise how much I take the piece-of-crap Logic Pro X File Editor for granted. Listening to this, I found myself wanting to know what was going to happen next, like I was watching a soap opera on TV; only with no actual story.
Synthesis
Karlheinz Stockhausen – Studie I
youtube
I found this quite disorienting to listen to. I guess it was revolutionary in 1953 but I reckon now you could whip it up in Ableton in about 5 minutes using the Random MIDI Effect and some automation.
Eliane Radigue – Jetsun Mila (Pt.1) / Birth and Youth (Excerpt)
youtube
I liked how the pulsing ambient drone sound in this grew over time; it drew me in and had me wondering what was going to happen next. Unfortunately the answer was: not much. Gradually a rhythmic element with some high pulsing tones which grew over time came in. It was a bit like listening to a very slow EDM dance track from underwater in a diesel-powered submarine going at full throttle for 12 minutes.
Laurie Spiegel – Appalachian Grove: I
youtube
I liked the pulsing stereo effects in this piece and the way the tonal characteristics of the sound varied while the pitch changed. It’s much more melodic than the other tracks we’ve listened to and that made it more enjoyable to my ears. It got a bit harsh in the middle though. This piece puts the musique in musique concrète.
Morton Subotnick – Silver Apples of the Moon – Part A
youtube
Perhaps the sound designer for Star Wars had this in mind when creating the sound effects for R2D2. I kind of lost the flow of the conversation without the witty English-accented retorts from C3PO though. Morton Sobotnick is described as The Mad Scientist in one interview, and I think if I listen to this too often I’ll end up fitting one of the DSM-5 diagnostic categories I’m learning about over in PSYC1002.
Suzanne Ciani – Concert at Phil Niblock’s Loft
youtube
This piece had some funky sounds that I liked. The start reminded me a bit of Kraftwerk but without the rhythm and melody; although it did get more melodic later. I’d probably give it a Distinction for its use of technology given it was made in 1975, but only a Credit for musicality.
Barry Schraeder – Lost Atlantis: Introduction
youtube
At first, I thought this sounded a lot like a modern ad for KFC; then I realised I was hearing a Spotify ad.
I liked the ambient sounds in this piece and the way it surged in and out with its “mysterious tone colors”. It slowly builds to a crescendo until we get the drop that EDM lovers crave, and then built more quickly to the ultimate drop at the end. I kept wondering what was going to happen next; I’d still rather listen to Fleetwood Mac, Supertramp or Queen though.
Contemporary Examples
Amon Tobin – Foley Room
DJ & producer. Retain percussive quality through sounds. Horsefish & Esther’s. Create beauty and delicate textures from sounds. Pitched percussive material. Fast loops. New textures. Funky beats. Check out the Foley Room Documentary.
Aphex Twin - 1ST 44
youtube
Acid house DJ in rave scene. Intelligent Dance Music. More complex sampling, polyrhythms, rhythmic patterns. From Collapsed album. Polyrhythms sounded funky. Lots of variation.
Holly Herndon – Chorus
Intersection of humanity and technology. Recorded web browsing. Stereo ping-pong effects. Here’s a talk she gave about her creative process.
Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith – Riparian
youtube
This was my favourite out of these three, largely because it sounds the most musical to my ears. I liked the pulsing beat in this track. I can hear a bass line for instance, melodies played on the synth and lyrics, although I can’t tell what they are saying. I also like the way the soundscape swirls around when listened to with headphones. It feels ambient, immersive and musical all at the same time. I get the sense that she’s using the electronics at her disposal in service of the music rather than the other way around. There’s even a great video about how she uses modular synthesis.
Graham Stoney - Foster le Concrète
"How hard can it be?", I asked myself. And since I had an assignment to do, I wrote my own musique concrète track based on the drum rhythm from one of my favourite songs, Coming of Age by Foster The People. I even made a breakdown video showing how I did it; because that's what the assignment required.
youtube
Conclusion
I didn’t take too easily to some of the more experimental musique concrète pieces we studied at the beginning of this semester. The weekly listening tasks felt harsh to my untrained ears and I would think mean things like:
“Didn’t the Geneva Convention ban cruel and unusual punishment?”
Perhaps these tracks will never be my preferred go-to pieces for chilling out on a Friday night, but when I look back at some of my cynicism-laced early comments in these discussion threads, I cringe. I just didn’t appreciate the historical significance of these pieces and how they might have influenced later electronic music that I do enjoy, like Kraftwerk say.
Then in Angharad Davis’s Music Colloquium Series talk on George Antheil’s Ballet Mécanique, when she played a snippet of the work I heard sounds reminiscent of musique concrète. Sure enough, they were roughly contemporaneous, and Antheil had been living in Paris at the time musique concrète was just getting started. You never know when something you study in one arena will pop up elsewhere.
Another thing I’ve learned in this subject is about taking creative risks and learning to follow my gut instincts without worrying whether a concept will work, or other people will like it. This has been an opportunity for me to explore that. My Formative Skills Assignment piece Foster le Concrète was in part a reaction to my frustration at the lack of discernible rhythm in some of the early pieces we studied. However, I really didn’t know whether the concept was going to work, and that was a little anxiety-inducing; especially given that I was doing it for an assignment which would be graded. I was quite touched to hear other students say they liked the end result, and I feel more confident about following my gut instincts in future and seeing what I end up.
Finally, I’ve been really inspired by the creativity of the other students in this subject. It’s been a weird experience studying online this year without ever meeting them in person, but I’ve really enjoyed hearing the creative works everyone came up with. They’re all so distinctive and amazingly different, it’s incredible; yet they were all products of the same brief. I can’t wait to hear everyone's works on the radio, TV, movies, video games, Spotify, or whatever audio technology is around when we all graduate: live streaming direct to our neurons perhaps?

Conscious Quarantine – A Living List by Lex Weinstein
Tumblr media
Hello Friends,
I know this is an uncertain time, one that triggers the worst in us: fear, scarcity, confusion, grief… Each moment feels like an hour, each day melting into the next. If we ourselves aren’t suffering from illness or mourning someone who is, we are in isolation, grasping for understanding of what to do, how long we will be here, and what the world will even look like when we emerge.
I humbly believe that the only way to discern what the future holds is to consciously create it ourselves; bit by bit, day by day, one tiny step forward at a time. Not by doing, but by being, imagining, and visualizing… by having the courage to go inward as time stands still and we are finally given permission to slow down and listen.
With the tragedy that accompanies this pandemic, we are also gifted silver linings that have the potential to propel us into a more intentional, regenerative, and conscious system of living, giving this crisis purpose, and us the opportunity to triumph.
To help inspire joy and renewed intention during this period of reflection, I’ve compiled a living list of my  favorite books, playlists, podcasts, films and more with artists, ecologists, and mentors I treasure and admire. It will continue to grow as I reflect on what has shaped my personal journey that I can share on our collective path of understanding.
In the wise words of the beloved Ram Dass, BE. HERE. NOW.  Mother Nature is running her course, forcing us to pause, reset, and reassess our consumption habits, trauma, and lifestyle patterns. Never before has society paused long enough to absorb this true gift of PRESENCE, and the ability to honor stillness, meditation, family, and introspection, to ask ourselves what really matters most, and acknowledge the natural world with which we are are so deeply connected, and yet take for granted on most days.
May the words, melodies, and stories of others inspire you to share and honor yours, and come out of the stillness reawakened. Take care, stay safe, and enjoy.
-Lex

To DO:
The hard truth: not much. Just being present is the best medicine for this current state of affairs, which isn’t easy. So here are some resources to help. And don’t worry if you can’t manage ANY of these. This is  a time for compassion, NOT judgement. These are simply here if you need them, today, tomorrow, or a year from now. Not all of these will resonate with every one. Take what you like, leave what you don’t.

@terrence-silver, I wanted to give you a proper reblog first, but there is no way I am not going to gush about it in detail. These, my dear, are absolutely gorgeous and stunning and - well, let's try to put it into some articulate appreciation. (Deep breath. *Fans hands*. Oh, come on, I can do this.)
The backlit lushness of them, exactly like you've already described (do put these together), you've managed to both convey how Terry sees them and how Dougal sees them. They are otherworldly, the little glints on the dark clothing, the jackets - is that a cape Mr. Silver? - the little glints of metal, of course, buckles and stirrups and jewelry, yes, but also how the sunlight bathes them, Terry'silver hair, the gold of his Beloved, they might as well have been glints of something undefined. They're setting everything around them alight. And yet. The looks they give each other are so soft. The way beloved has wrapped herself in the jacket, and how he's tilted towards her. This is love, baby. Deep love. I love too, how Beloved's horse is almost as attuned to him in a relaxed way, both of the horses are relaxed, because they trust they're in safe hands, my heart...! Beloved looking exactly as you said, a little tired, a little unsure, but she's with Terry! And the softness I always thought Ireland might bring out in him, there it is in all its fierce glory. They want to kiss each other so much!

[1] Blame JAK for that one [2] Dedicated to DJ Ricky Prinz, Munich's finest [3] What an opening Act, Axel is really a Modern Day Sex God TM [4] They were doing there own music for the actual fashion show [5] Sadly I wasn't able to enjoy that show as much as I wanted. I was fighting with a headache. And had to re-sort all my CDs after drooping 'em all to the floor earlier @ when we got the notice that everything should start 1 hour before schedule [6] To be honest I didn't like most of what I have of BM on CD but that Show altered my view 180 degree. You guys ROCK. I haven't seen that much energy since Antiworld last year Herbstnächte. BM is a band we should really look forward to see in Europe. [7] Sorry from here on it isn't in order and I'm not sure if I got all songs 'couse I wasn't able to write down the playlist [8] And don't forget what Sheena became [9] Should be in Order from here on [10] Well sometimes strange things are happening an so I had an other set to do on sunday don't try to find me on the web site it wasn't officially announced [11] Just o entertain the crew while doing last preparations [12] Some more songs that I haven't written down just to get a feeling for the volume and decided after that to go as loud as that damned thing will let me go. [13] A local Munich Punk/Power POP band that were playing @ the new years party I did with Ricky earlier that year. [14] Who ever will do Convergence 9 try to get Ghoultown [15] A little tribute to some of the great bands we had the pleasure to here the last days [16] That one goes to Miss Janette [17] That one goes to Maria my beloved one who was turning heads all weekend long [18] Thanks to Mr. Black and Psyche for giving me a break and to Sexbat for checking back from time to time to see if I need an other [19] Can't read that one, sorry :-( [20] This one is for the best Stage Manager on the planet [21] For Brian, not exactly Twisted Sister but the best I could do for you. [22] Time to honor the best Masks [23] From now on it's dedicated to Bella Morte [24] From now on it's dedicated to Purp an all others who still hold the flag of deathrock up. [25] This one was a request of the bartender girl [26] I wanted to end the night with "Beerdrinkers and Hellraisers" by Motörhead but I forgot it at my hotel room so I ended the night with my preferred version of Paint it Black ;-)
