Dad! Miguel Diaz x Mom! Reader
Tumblr media
Miguel thinks he will be ready for THE baby, right?... WRONG! He was a complete pathetic mess. When reader gave birth to her baby, Miguel couldn’t wait to meet him/her but when he did and tried holding him/her the baby started crying uncontrollably. He tried calming him/her down but couldn’t while you were lying on your hospital bed giggling. He needed you and your help ASAP but obviously, he knew that you needed rest.
“Babe. Are you okay?” is what you kept asking because it seemed like he would drop the baby in an instant. “If you need my help, I’ll be glad to help.” Reader chuckled. A few minutes later Miguel finally gave up the tough guy act and gave the baby back to reader. The baby quickly calmed down and started to sleep. Reader and Miguel just stared at each other with shock. Miguel stood aside a little disappointed because he thought he was ready. He crossed his arms and sighed.
“Sorry mi amor, I thought I was ready. I am not gonna be a good father, am I?” Once Miguel said that, reader looked like she was about to slap the shit out of him. She looked at Miguel with awe and smiled. “Miguel. Why would you say something so awful? You’re gonna be a gonna be a great father. She/he may be a mama’s girl/boy for now but who’s gonna help me when the baby turns into a teen and then rebel against me? Trust me, he/she is gonna want their dad when that happens.” Miguel smiled and pressed a kiss on reader’s forehead. “C’mon, I doubt he/she would have the right mind to rebel against you. You’re too scary” Miguel teased while reader rolled her eyes. “Whatever, just wait for (baby’s name) to be 15. Then you’ll see what I’m talking about.” Miguel was just in awe at reader, not really caring what reader just said at all. Just focused on reader’s beauty.
“You’re gonna be a great dad Miguel. (Baby’s name) Diaz sounds so badass too. He/She will be cool just like her/his dad.” Reader smiled. Miguel pecked reader’s lips and creased her cheek. “You’re just as a badass, reader. Well, I’m more badass than you but that’s beside the point.” Miguel said sarcastically while grinning like an idiot. “You’re gonna be a great mom and I really really do love you, reader” Reader couldn’t stop smiling and feeling flustered. “Well, you better love me, Diaz. I had your baby!” Reader exclaimed while eyeing the baby. Miguel gazed at Reader and the baby with admiration.
“I love you reader”
“I love you too, Miguel”

WELCOME TO THE LOSERS:
“Well, Y/N. Don’t you just look happy.”
Sending Demetri a glare, you let your lunch tray fall to the table with a loud clatter, falling into your seat with a huff. You can feel both Demetri and Eli’s, whose sat next to you, gaze on you as settle into your seat.
Letting out a huff, you meet their gaze. “Guess who I ran into on my way here?”
“Hmm, let me guess,” Demetri pretends to pause in thought, pressing a hand to his chin. “Yasmine?”
Snapping your fingers at him, you roll your eyes. “Bingo.”
“Are you okay?”
Eli’s voice is in a much softer tone compared to Demetri’s, pulling your gaze on him as he stares at you with a mixture of concern and sadly, a lack of surprise. You can’t blame him, or even really Demetri’s response — the fact of the matter was it wasn’t surprising.
At all.
“I’m fine,” you shrug, moving to cross your arms over your chest. “She just had a few choice words about my appearance today, that’s all.”
Although you try to say it with an edge of nonchalance, brushing off their concern — both Eli and Demetri can see the way you curl into yourself, arms wrapping tighter around your body in an effort to try and cover yourself more. You were deeply regretting letting your small bout of confidence this morning convince you to wear something different to your normal every day attire. Something a little more risky, something a little more like what Yasmine would wear.
Any confidence you had had been quickly shattered the second you ran into Yasmine.
“Well, I-I think you look great.”
No matter how softly fumbled his words are, Eli’s compliment doesn’t fail to make your heart flutter in response and a warmth grow to your cheeks. You suddenly feel ten times better than you had seconds prior, a feat only Eli was ever able to accomplish when it came to Yasmine. The smile that curls onto your lips is contagious, but you find yourself fumbling for a response back, your embarrassment growing at the rather unimpressed look Demetri is sending both your ways.
“Is it cool if I sit here?”
You’re thankful for the interruption in more ways then one, blinking in surprise as you turn to look at the unfamiliar voice only to see a kid you don’t recognize.
“Ooh,” Demetri whistles, answering before you can get a word in otherwise. “Sorry, table’s really blowing up right now. I can put you on the wait list, but it’s probably next semester at the earliest.”
The new kid just shakes his head, obviously believing Demetri’s sarcasm, moving to walk away. “Okay.”
“Wait,” you call out, voice rushing out quickly before he can get too far. “He’s kidding,” you quickly explain, sending a small smile when the new kid meets your gaze. “Please sit,” you gesture before yourself. “Sometimes, Demetri just doesn’t know when to not be sarcastic.”
You send another glare Demetri’s way, but he’s hardly phased, shrugging his shoulders. “Hey, I bring the entertainment to this table.”
Rolling your eyes, you turn back to the new kid. “My names Y/N.”
“Miguel,” he nods back.
“I’m Demetri, like she said,” Demetri offers, before gesturing to Eli. “This is Eli.” In response, he just offers a small nod. “He’s a man of few words.”
Eli looks down at his hands at that, a action you notice out of the corner of your eye. Frowning, you quickly move to nudge him, sending him a small smile, one he moves to reciprocate, before something catches his eye.
Following his gaze, you frown at the sight of Yasmine.
Instantly, you curl back into yourself, desperately trying to avoid the girls gaze as she walks right past, not even batting you, or the rest of your friends, a single glance. Still, her words from earlier come back to slap you in the face, and you’re quick to curl back into yourself, nails digging into the back of your shirt.
You don’t notice Eli’s gaze on you.
“Dude,” Demetri calls out, causing you to blink. “Don’t torture yourself. Those are the rich girls.”
Miguel seems in a trance, blinking himself out of his stupor; “do you ever talk to them or...”
Instantly, you can feel Demetri’s sarcasm.
“Oh yeah! All the time. We hang out after school, make out, give each other hand jobs.” You watch as Demetri gestures to Eli, the latter in response laughing quietly to himself. “Eli here is the homecoming king. Gets laid more than anyone. Isn’t that right, Eli?”
“Okay, okay,” you huff lightly, rolling your eyes at Demetri but even you can’t stop the smile on your lips at his words. “I think Miguel gets the point.”
Demetri shakes his head, continuing; “talk to them? You realize what table you’re sitting at, right? You’ve pretty much signed away all hopes of losing your virginity before college.”
As Demetri finishes talking, you feel Eli tense up beside you. Glancing over at him with a frown, your shoulders fall in realization once you see what he has.
“Oh shit, Yasmine’s looking at us.” He fiddles with his fingers, leaning into himself. “Probably just making fun of me.”
“I don’t think she’s making fun of you,” Miguel argues, shaking his head. “I mean, just because they’re hot doesn’t mean they’re mean.”
“Maybe,” Eli shrugs, ignoring the disbelieving look Demetri sends him. “I mean, Y/N’s nice.”
You blink at his words, suddenly feeling all three boys’ gaze on you as your lips part in surprise. Specifically, you can’t seem to take your eyes off of Eli as he smile softly at you -- you’re not even sure he completely understand exactly what he just said to you. But then again, Eli said a lot of things to cheer you up and they never really meant anything before.
Not in the way you hoped anyway.
“See?” Miguel agrees, sending you a bright smile. “Eli gets it.”
“Well, I don’t care if Yasmine is the meanest girl at school. I’d kill all three of you just to get her to spit in my face.”
Scrunching your face up, you turn to Demetri; “that’s disgusting.”
“Yet,” he pauses, “true.”
“If you don’t make a move, though, you’ll never have a shot,” Miguel cuts in, shaking his head at Demetri.
“True,” Demetri points at Miguel, “but I’ll also never suffer a humiliating rejection. I’m at peace with my depression, the last thing I need to be is suicidal.”
Miguel falls silent at that, and just as you move to finally take a bit out of your lunch, you freeze when you feel a pair of eyes on you. It’s no doubt Yasmine, but still you turn your head over your shoulder nonetheless, a deep frown marring your lips as she meets your gaze. The look on his face is nothing short of cruel as he blatantly laughs at you, sending you a feigned pout of pity.
A little past her, you see one of the boys that frequently sit at her table eyeing you as well. Particularly, your chest.
Yup, you really shouldn’t have listened to yourself this morning.
“Did--Did you want my sweater?”
Blinking at Eli’s words, you turn back around to face him, eyes widening.
“What?” Then, you see him gesturing to his sweater, the words finally settling in. “Oh, no, that’s okay, Eli. Thank you though--”
But he’s already pulling off his sweater before you finish speaking, your lips parting as you watch him simply hand it over to you with a gentle smile. It takes you a second before you accept it — not feeling the pair of eyes watching you — smiling brightly at Eli.
“Thank you, Eli. I was getting a little cold.”
The both of you know that’s not it, but neither of you say anything as you let the sweater fall over your body, pulling your arms through the sleeves, feeling a bit better at being a little more covered.
And, of course, getting to wear Eli’s sweater.
Neither of you notice the matching pair of blushes on either of your cheeks -- in fact, the only one who does is Demetri, who simply rolls his eyes at the both of yours obliviousness.
Then, suddenly, Miguel’s standing up, slow and as if in a daze.
“Uh, what’re you doing?”
“Striking first.”
“Oh, shit.” Demetri huffs, “hope we don’t get hit with the shrapnel.”
Rolling your eyes, you watch Miguel with a smile. “I kind of admire it,” you shrug, “his confidence.”
“And yours this morning seemed to work so well for you.”
Frowning at Demetri’s words, you glance down at your lap.
In the next second, the chair Miguel had been sat in not seconds prior is pulled back out, Miguel falling into it with a huff a second later.
“So,” Demetri calls after a moment, “how’d it go?”
Miguel just nods, not needing to say anything.
“Well,” you offer after a moment, “I thought it was brave.”
Miguel turns to you with a bright smile, surprised by your words as you send him a thumbs up.
“Y/N.”
Feeling a nudge at your side, you turn to Eli with a quirked brow.
“Remember?”
That’s all he needs to say for it to click, “oh, shit! Our project!” Turning to Demetri and Miguel, you send an apologetic glance the latter’s way. “Sorry, Eli and I have to finish up our project that’s due next period. Final touches. It was nice meeting you though, Miguel.”
You’re moving to a stand, Eli following after you quickly as Miguel sends you a wave.
Once the two of you are out of the lunchroom, Miguel turns to Demetri.
“Are those two--”
“Dating?” Demetri cuts in, rolling his eyes. “No. However, deeply in love with each other and too afraid to admit it? Yes, most definitely.”
Miguel nods, slowly at first. “How long have they been like that?”
“Since the first day Y/N stood up for Eli, which in turn turned her into one of us.” Demetri shrugs, “I believe that was… middle school? I’ve known Eli since elementary and Y/N was the first person who ever stood up for him. He’s been in love with her since then.”
“And Y/N?”
Demetri pauses, face scrunching up in thought. “I dunno. One day, she came into school and it was like Eli was a whole new person to her. She won’t tell me, though. Won’t even admit it.”
Miguel frowns, head titling in confusion. “But it’s so…—“
“—obvious?”
“Yeah.”
“Trust me,” Demetri sighs, “I’ve been trying to tell both of them that for years.”
-
“Cyberbullying is no laughing matter.”
“Oh no,” you mumble, voice barely a whisper.
You feel Eli tense next to you, Miguel and Demetri sending you a look of confusion as all of four of focus on the student councillor. She’s made herself known at the front of the lunchroom, microphone in hand for added effect.
By the look on Eli’s face, you have a feeling you know where this is going.
“Sending a cruel message to someone online can be just as hurtful as saying it to their face. I’m not gonna name names, but the other day a mother called me up because her son was crying after some kids online made fun of his facial deformity.”
Not gonna name names, my ass.
Turning to Eli, you frown at the look on his face.
“It’s the kid right there,” you hear someone whisper nearby, gesturing to Eli.
“It’s the kid with the weird lip!”
Eli quickly moves to cover his lip, eyes trained downwards as he tries to hide himself with no avail. It’s pretty obvious everyone’s eyes are on him.
Setting a hand on his shoulder, you shake your head; “just ignore them,” you whisper. But you know that’s easier said then done.
“But today, our goal here is to make this school a safe space for all students—“
“You know,” Miguel cuts in, pulling your attention away from the teacher as he leans over to Eli. “If you’re sick of getting bullied, my karate dojos looking for recruits.”
You lips purse in thought, and one glance at Eli tells you he’s maybe considering it.
Of course, Demetri thinks otherwise. “Yeah, right. You hear that, Eli? A little karate training,” he makes some hand movements, a poor mocking of the sport. “And you’re gonna kick some major ass.”
“I’m serious, Demetri,” Miguel argues, leaning forward in his seat. “My sensei’s the real deal. I’m sure I could get you all discounts.”
“As enticing as that sounds, I think we’d rather spend our afternoons playing Crucible Control than getting hit in the face.”
“I dunno,” you shrug, leaning forward with a smile. “It might be worth checking out.”
“Really?” Miguel’s eyes widen, leaning towards you. “You’ll sign up for it then?”
You pause slightly, faltering. “I… more meant,” and slowly your eyes shift towards the boy sat next to you. “Eli?” And when his eyes fall on you, Miguel turns to him excitedly, looking entirely too hopeful. “It might be fun, yeah?”
Eli doesn’t say anything, not really; just a single glance to you and then back at Miguel, before shrugging his shoulders.
“Oh, and one more thing.” The teachers voice cuts back in, “while we’re all looking forward to the Halloween dance, let’s make sure our costumers are cultural sensitive. For example, instead of ‘sexy nurse’, maybe try ‘gender-neutral hospital employee’.”
Body tensing at her words, you bite your lip.
“Y/N?” Miguel calls out, surprising you as you turn to him. “Are you okay?”
“Oh, oh, yeah,” you smile, though it doesn’t reach your eyes. “Yeah, I’m okay. I just realized though, that I um… I have to go.”
You push yourself to a stand, grabbing your backpack with haste.
You’re walking away and out of the lunchroom before any of the boys can stop you.
“What was that all about?”
And as both pair of eyes fall on Eli, he just shrugs.
“I don’t know either.”
-
“Y/N! Y/N! Wait up!”
Pausing at the sound of Miguel’s voice, you’re oddly surprised at the sight of him running up to you, looking as if he’d left the cafeteria in a flurry of panic.
“Um, Miguel?” You call out, baffled as your brows furrow at him.
He falls to a stop in front of you, slightly breathless as he presses his palms to his knees. You watch as he catches his breath, slowly turning his head up to glance at you. “Are you, uh… are you okay?”
You blink, glancing past him at the doors to the lunchroom before back at him. “You ran all the way here just to ask if I’m okay?”
“Well, yeah,” he shrugs, “you looked really upset when you left.”
“Oh.” You mumble it out, shocked at his sweetness and care to check up on you — someone he’s really only just met. “Yeah,” you smile lightly, though it doesn’t meet your eyes. “I just… it’s just this Halloween dance.”
“You don’t wanna go?”
“No, it’s not that, it’s just…” Pausing, you shake your head. You don’t know what you’re just dumping all of your troubles onto Miguel when you’ve barely even told Eli or Demetri any of this. “I don’t know, just nervous. I want something to happen, but I’m scared it won’t go the way I want.”
Miguel smiles brightly, a twinkle in his gaze as he laughs. “You want Eli to ask you to dance, yeah?”
Blinking, you jerk your head back. “How’d you know?”
He just laughs; “it’s clear that you two like each other, and I mean, Demetri has definitely complained about his troubles as a third wheel.”
Letting out a snort, you roll your eyes; “that doesn’t surprise me.”
“I meant what I said though,” Miguel assures, “I know Eli likes you too.”
Crossing your arms over your chest, you shrug. “I’m not sure. He’s really sweet and kind, and there’s times where I think ‘maybe he does like me’, but then nothing ever happens.” You explain, meeting Miguel’s gaze with a frown. “I’m just tired of getting my hopes up.”
Miguel just beams down at you, setting a hand on your shoulder while giving you a thumbs up. “Don’t worry, tonight is the night he’ll make a move. I’m sure of it.”
Quirking a brow, you mimic his smile. It’s impossible not to — Miguel just has this way about him that makes you trust him inexplicably. Because the truth is, there’s no way he can guarantee something like that and yet, you want to believe him. You barely know the boy, but you feel like you can tell him anything, and he’d listen.
“Yeah, you think so?”
“I know so.”
“Well,” you shrug, laughing. “I’ll believe in you then.”
-
“Hey, you!”
Jumping at the random, booming voice, you tense in surprise as you spin around, only to see a full grown man rushing towards you. And not one you recognize as a teacher.
You’d been hesitating on walking into the gym, feeing slightly uncomfortable with the costume you’d chosen for the night. You’d gone with something a little more risky, and last time you had, it had gone anything but well.
However, you were hoping to impress Eli tonight.
“Um, hello?”
He’s slightly out of breath as he reaches you, and you’re mildly unsure of what he wants with you until suddenly there’s a piece of orange paper being shoved in your face.
“Cobra… Kai?”
“It’s my dojo,” he explains, “you should join it. Girls can be badass too. I don’t discriminate.”
Utterly baffled and confused, any previous anxiousness was out the window as you turned back to the guy.
“Thank… you? I guess?”
“Of course, of course,” sending you a ‘rock on’ with his hand, he begins to back up. “Don’t forget to check out the website, it’s—it’s on the paper!”
You don’t say anything else, simply watching him walk away as he slowly shuffles back on his feet before you slowly turn towards the doors to the gymnasium. That was… certainly interesting.
Once you’re inside, it doesn’t take long for you to spot your friends. They’re tucked away in a corner like you expected, and it’s not hard to spot Demetri in his full necromancy get-up that he’d been raving to you about for the past few days leading up.
“Look, there she is!”
Reaching them, you try to ignore the flutter of butterflies — you were shy at the worst of times, and having been trying to push yourself out of your own boundaries recently had been anything but easy. The only reason you hadn’t stopped after Yasmine made fun of you the first time was because Eli had thought you looked great and… well, you wanted Eli to think you looked great tonight too.
Beautiful even.
“Y/N, you—…”
It’s Eli who speaks first once the three boys have gotten a good look at you. Your heart starts to race as anticipation floods you, hoping desperately he’ll say the words you were waiting for.
But then a second pauses by, and it’s starting to get awkward; your smile faltering when you realize he isn’t going to say anything.
“—great!”
It’s Miguel who cuts in, pulling your eyes on him as he grins brightly at you. “Seriously! Best costume out of the four of us for sure.”
It’s not Eli, but the words are sweet enough and you can’t help but smile softly at Miguel — even if you can’t help but feel slightly disappointed. Plus, you know Miguel’s just trying to make you feel better and honestly, it kind of does.
“I thought mine was pretty good,” Demetri mumbles, mainly to himself.
“I mean… dude,” Miguel cuts in, gesturing to you, “she’s Princess Leia…”
Feeling your cheeks warm, you laugh at Miguel’s words, missing the look Eli sends him as you shake your head.
“Oh yeah, Miguel. I think your Sensei’s handing out flyers here at school.”
His head tilts, brows furrowing in confusion.
“Cobra Kai, right?” You ask, handing him the flyer, “he flagged me down before I came in. He was… um, interesting.” You offer lamely, not sure how else to describe the rather strange man.
Miguel looks mildly embarrassed, reading the flyer with a slight flush to his cheeks before smiling at you.
“The offers still there, ya know. To all of you,” he turns to look at Eli and Demetri too.
“Yes, well as much as I love talking about karate — please notice the sarcasm — why don’t we all grab something to drink?”
Figuring this was your chance, you were quick to speak up. “Oh well, I kind of wanted to dance.” You offer, eyes flitting from Demetri to Miguel, before settling on Eli, trying to not look to hopeful as you brush a strand of hair behind your ear. “If—if someone wanted to dance with me.”
It’s clear you mean Eli.
Miguel and Demetri glance at each other, pausing, waiting with anticipation for Eli to take the offer you’d so graciously handed to him on a silver plate. All he literally had to do was say he’d like to dance with you — he didn’t even have to ask!
But as a moment passes and Eli says nothing, looking nervous as ever and a red tint to his cheeks, you think maybe you’d misread some sort of line somewhere along the way.
He looked positively embarrassed at even the thought of having to dance with you.
Swallowing back the tears that threaten to fall, you take a step back. “I’ll go grab us some drinks then,” you call out, desperately wanted to get away from both Demetri and Miguel’s pitying looks and the absolutely mortified one on Eli’s.
Once you’re gone, Demetri doesn’t hesitate; “you really are an idiot.”
Eli blinks, “what?”
“Dude,” Miguel calls, exasperated as he shakes his head. “She obviously wanted to dance with you.”
Eli’s eyes widen, “she did?”
“I swear to God.”
Ignoring Demetri, Miguel turns to Eli; “yes. She was also hoping you’d say something about her costume.” Miguel shakes his head, huffing. And don’t pretend like you don’t like her, it’s pretty obvious.”
Eli’s cheeks warm and he shuffles on his feet, shaking his head, “yeah, but I mean… I highly doubt she’d actually want to dance with me.”
“Dude, we’re you just not present two minutes prior?” Demetri calls out, exhausted at his friends clear obviousness to your more than obvious feelings for him.
Eli just stares back.
“Look, there’s still a chance,” Miguel calls out hopeful. “Just go ask her now, I’m sure—“
But as the three turn in the direction you’d gone, they’re shocked to see a bit next to you, a hand on your arm as you laugh at something he says, the drinks you’d gotten them left forgotten on the table behind you.
Then, in the next second, he’s extending his hand out towards you and you’re letting your own fall in his, moving towards the dance floor.
“Well…” Demetri calls out after a moment of echoed silence, turning back to Eli whose since pulled back. There’s a upset look in his eyes but he turns away before either Miguel or Demetri can say anything.
-
“Here.”
Biting your lip, you reluctantly follow behind the boy, Adam, who’d asked you to dance. At first you’d been hesitant, but then one glance back at Eli and watching as he adamantly shook his head — assuming it had something to do with you — you realized, why not?
You deserved to have some fun, even if it wasn’t with the boy you wanted.
And it had been fun — at first — but now he was leading you out of the gym and through the rather secluded halls and you were starting to get a bad feeling about what he really intended.
“This rooms empty.”
“Um, I don’t—“
You’re yanked into the room before you can finished speaking, feeling the door slam shut behind you as you’re pressed against it. Your chest tightens in fear, feeling sweat build on your forehead as you realized you should’ve listen to your own instincts better.
Feeling his hands slide onto your hips, you tense.
“Uh, I don’t think—”
“Shh, it’s okay, right?” Adam calls out, voice husked as he presses his lips to your ear. “I mean, you like this sort of stuff, don’t you?”
Baffled by his words, you press the palms of your hands against his chest, pulling away from his with wide eyes. “What’re you talking about?” You huff, shaking your head as you try to create as much distance between the two of you as possible.
“What are you talking about?” He laughs obnoxiously, making you feel ten times smaller then you actually are. “Don’t you know?”
“Know what?”
“Everybody says you like to act like a prude, so I guess it makes sense.” Smirking, Adam pulls your hands off of him, moving to grip your waist with a tight squeeze. But as you continue to stare at him bewildered, he just rolls his eyes. “You know? I heard a few of my buddy’s say you’ve already given them a blowjob. I figured I had to see what all the fuss was about.”
“What?”
Finally coming to your senses, you harshly shove him off of you, feeling your eyes water at his words.
“Okay, Jesus,” he huffs, holding his hands up. “Don’t have to be such a bitch.”
You’re turning away before he can say anything more, rushing out of the room as the tears start to well in your eyes. You couldn’t believe what he was saying — you’ve… you’ve never even kissed a guy before…
How could those rumours have started? How—
Then it clicks. Yasmine.
“Man, I heard you were one but I didn’t realize you’d starting dressing like a slut too.”
It makes sense now why she’d said that to you yesterday. She’s always had a particular hatred for you, teasing you day in and day out — you just never thought it’d go that far…
Feeling a sob break past your lips, you realize you should’ve just stayed home tonight. Nothing had gone the way you wanted and now—
“Y/N?”
Freezing at the sound of Eli’s voice, and the pair of footsteps following him, knowing it can be no other than Demetri, you pause in your step. You don’t really want them to see you crying. They were your best friends, even if Demetri could get on your nerves sometimes, you still cared for the both of them greatly.
However, they were boys and you were afraid they wouldn’t… understand.
“Are you okay?”
A hand falls on your shoulder, touch gentle but hesitant and you’re quick to turn your head the other way.
“I’m fine,” you rush out, shaking your head as you wipe hastily at your cheeks.
“No, you’re not,” Demetri calls out from the other side of you, peaking around to see you — making your attempt at hiding all but useless. “You’re clearly crying.”
Sending him a glare, you huff; “thank you for stating the obvious, Demetri.”
He pulls back, hands held up in surrender as you simply sigh, shoulders falling in defeat as you finally turn to look at Eli. He looks ten times more worried then Demetri, (though you know deep down in his ever so sarcastic heart he cares) and he’s looking down at you with such care and concern you find your resolve faltering at the look in his eyes.
“What happened?”
Biting your lip at his softly uttered question, you shrug; “nothing.”
Eli frowns, clearly knowing you’re lying. “Yasmine?”
You tense at her name and that gives it away.
Demetri sighs, and the two boys follow you as you move to take a seat at the steps before the three of you. They’re on either side of you, Eli’s shoulder brushing against your own.
“Obviously something happened.”
You turn to Demetri, shaking your head. “It’s fine. More or less the same.”
“W-Well,” Eli cuts in, unable to stop himself. “What happened to that boy you were with?”
Your whole body freezes at his question and Demetri and Eli are quick to send each other a confused glance.
“Y/N,” Eli calls, leaning forward to meet your gaze. “Did he… he do something to you?”
You’re unbelievable uncomfortable. It wasn’t that you didn’t trust them, especially Eli — the two of you have leaned on each other more times then you can count when either of you were picked on. You found comfort in him, and you knew Demetri would never make fun of you because he understood.
Well, understood most of it.
“I got away before anything happened,” you shrug, bringing your knees to your chest, making a special effort to keep your dress tucked from revealing anything. “It just… startled me.”
You are careful not to mention what he said. You don’t want Eli thinking that of you.
“Do you want me to beat him up for you?”
It’s Demetri who says it, and it instantly brings a smile to your lips which you assume was the goal of his comment. Turning to him, you shake your head at the goofy look on his face, hands held out before him like he’s going to fight somebody.
“You been secretly going to Miguel’s dojo or something?” You tease, wiggling your brows.
Eli huffs next to you, “yeah, right. Demetri hates that I’m even considering it.”
You turn to Eli, letting out a giggle at the both of them, unaware of look the both of them send to each other and the smiles that curl onto their lips at their success in getting you to laugh.
Maybe they didn’t understand but, as always, you find yourself surprised at how much care either of the boys put into making sure you’re happy. Even though the night hadn’t gone how you wanted, it still felt good to know that at least you still had your friends.
And as your laughter slows, something comes to mind; “wait, where’s Miguel?”

prove it-- robby keene
robby keene x male!reader
a requested robby keene smut that took WAY too long because it got away from me but now its like 1.5k words with a sloppy ending so (minors dni)
Tumblr media
“You are such a little shit, Keene,” Y/N laughed, pulling his boyfriend into a soft kiss as the two climbed out of the Uber and thanked the driver.
“What do you mean?” Robby asked, wide eyed and innocently as though he didn’t know exactly what Y/N was talking about– a game of truth or dare with Miguel, Sam and Eli whilst Y/N and Demetri were collecting pizza that possibly revealed too much about where the hickeys on Y/N’s neck had come from the night before.
“Now all our friends, think I’m a fucking bottom, asshole,” the boy rolled his eyes, swinging for Robby playfully as he swung open the door to his dad’s apartment.
Johnny was out on a date night with Carmen, meaning the two boys had the apartment to themselves, which was definitely a good thing, judging by the glint in Robby’s green eyes.
“Show them differently, then.” Robby’s words caught his boyfriend off guard.
“Huh?”
“Prove to them that you’re not a bottom,” the blonde boy leant against the wall next to his bedroom, a smug smile on his handsome face that made Y/N nervous in the best possible way.
“Because it seems to me that they have some pretty solid evidence right now,” he added, wetting his lips and cocking an eyebrow.
Y/N walked over to Robby slowly, placing a hand on his hip, the other by his head, and moving in so close that their noses brushed together, Y/N’s hair tickling his boyfriend’s forehead.
“Any ideas on how I could possibly prove that, Keene?” Y/N hummed, not putting up too much of a fight as Robby closed the small gap between them eagerly, kissing Y/N with an excited enthusiasm.
“I have a few,” Robby hummed against the other boy’s lips, pushing him gently so the two peeled themselves from the wall and pushed through the door into Robby’s small bedroom, collapsing on the bed almost instantly.
“Care to share?”
Y/N’s hands were cold as they crept under Robby’s t-shirt, pushing the fabric upwards to clear the way for soft, damp kisses to be pressed up the boy’s abdomen. Robby writhed gently, grinning and cocking an eyebrow as he threaded his fingers through his lover’s hair.
“Fuck me, Y/L/N,” Robby laughed, pulling Y/N up to press their lips together although it muffled his words.
“Ask nicely and maybe I will,” Y/N smirked, despite already shedding his shirt and requesting permission to remove Robby’s, which was granted.
Locking his ankles together around the boy’s waist, Robby pulled his boyfriend back towards him, crossing his wrists behind their neck and kissing him hard. Y/N’s hands crowded Robby’s head, tangling in strands of his hair as his hips shifted slightly yet deliberately, creating friction between the two.
Lowering his hands, Robby grabbed at his boyfriend’s ass, grinning as he did so, before moving to tug at the belt loops of his jeans.
“Off.”
“You haven’t asked nicely yet,” Y/N quipped, shifting to start kissing at the blonde boy’s neck, sucking in some subtler marks before moving to his collarbone and making them bigger and darker.
Robby’s lips remained sealed as he closed his eyes, feeling the gentle sting of Y/N’s teeth along his collarbone before the sooth of his tongue. Then, after looking up at his boyfriend with a mischievous glint in his eyes, Y/N traced his tongue over one of Robby’s nipples, sucking lightly and enjoying the low, almost inaudible moan it dragged out of him.
“Come on, Rob, all you have to do is say please,” Y/N teased, feeling Robby’s hands tangle in his hair and tug not so gently.
“You’re the one who needs to prove you’re not a bottom,” the boy rolled his eyes, trying his hardest not to react as Y/N’s wrist not so accidentally knocked the raise in his jeans.
“Robby, love,” Y/N punctuated his sentence with a soft kiss to the boy’s solar plexus. “I can think of a million other ways to prove to our friends that you’re the bottom in this relationship like ninety percent of the time. Now tell me what you want.”
“How about you tell me what you want,” Robby spat back, eyebrows raised, “Since you’re supposedly in charge here.”
Considering for a moment, Y/N shrugged before lifting his boyfriend’s hips and pulling him into his lap, loving the way the long strands of Robby’s hair brushed against his face.
“Okay then, Keene,” the boy mused, one hand toying with Robby’s nipple and the other palming at the bulge in his jeans which the boy urged on enthusiastically. “I want you to ride me.”
Robby groaned at the thought, grinding his hips down onto Y/N’s, and Y/N took the opportunity to sneak his hands back towards his boyfriend’s ass. Locking eyes in a moment of mutual desire and understanding, the two boys separated, tugging off their jeans and pants in no manner of coordination before coming back together in a clashing of lips, teeth and tongue.
Positioning his boyfriend back in his lap, Y/N latched his lips onto his neck, sucking and creating darker marks than the ones he had left before. Robby groaned happily, his hands finding their way to his boyfriend’s dick and stroking him to full hardness.
Moaning and digging his fingers into Robby’s hips, Y/N collided his lips with Robby’s, reaching to grab his boyfriend’s ass, pinching gently and causing the boy to pout.
“Get the lube,” Y/N muttered against Robby’s lips and the boy was quick to comply, leaning across to his bedside drawer, groaning quietly as Y/N used the new angle to brush his fingertips over Robby’s hole.
Pulling the bottle from the drawer, Robby handed it to his boyfriend obediently, putty in his hands as he pushed his knees further apart so they were either side of Y/N’s thighs. Popping open the cap, Y/N drizzled the clear liquid over his fingers, warming it a little as he kissed Robby before letting his hands reach behind him.
“Please, Y/N,” the blonde boy practically whined, his head falling to Y/N’s forehead as one finger breached his hole. Y/N continued to stretch Robby out as the boy whined gently, biting onto Y/N’s shoulder and leaving lazy, distracted hickeys.
After a few minutes of Robby’s gentle whining, Y/N lifted his boyfriend’s chin softly so he was looking at them with hooded eyes, his hair dishevelled and his lips parted and red.
“Another one?”
“Please,” Y/N grinned as Robby whined, his voice soft, and kissed his boyfriend passionately, inserting another finger and loving how the other boy keened.
Five minutes later, the blonde boy was biting at his boyfriend’s ear, urging him to hurry up. Chuckling softly, Y/N caved, handing the lube back to his boyfriend so he could cover his dick. The second Robby’s cold hands wrapped around them, Y/N groaned, letting his head fall to his boyfriend’s shoulder and lacing his fingers through the hair at the nape of his neck.
“Jesus, Keene,” Y/N groaned, pushing his lips to Robby’s in a messy kiss. Robby grinned into the kiss, biting at the boy’s lips playfully, enjoying the sounds he was eliciting.
Standing upright on his knees, Robby positioned himself, guiding Y/N’s dick with his hands and beginning to sink down, biting his lip to muffle any noise he made. Taking Robby’s chin between his fingers, Y/N pushed their lips to Robby’s, moaning into his mouth, bemused as Robby groaned, too.
Bottoming out, Y/N clutched his boyfriend’s hips, panting and overwhelmed by how tight Robby was. Robby pressed his sweaty forehead to their shoulder, holding still for a moment.
Y/N cupped Robby’s cheek, bringing their foreheads together.
“Whenever you’re ready, baby.”
His knees either side of Y/N’s legs, Robby began dragging himself up and down Y/N’s dick, moaning softly.
“There we go, Keene,” Y/N muttered, biting at the boy’s ear playfully, his hands on his hips tightening.
“Not so sure our friends would be so convinced I’m the bottom here if they could see you now.”
Thrusting upwards to meet the roll of hips, both boys approached their highs fairly quickly. Robby came first with a soft whine, and Y/N followed soon after, pulling out gently and kissing his boyfriend.
Grabbing a damp cloth from the bathroom, Y/N wiped the two of them down. Thankful for the lack of wet patches on the sheets, he decided to postpone changing them until the morning and instead curled up around his boyfriend, pushing his hair from his face gently.
“Did I prove my point then?” His voice was hoarse as he joked.
“Sure,” Robby mumbled sleepily, not bothering to open his eyes fully. “But tomorrow I’m tipping the scales again.”
“Be my guest,” the h/c haired boy smiled, pressing his lips to his boyfriend’s forehead softly.

“HOW?” Daniel asked sarcastically. “How could it be worse than this?”
“We could be sober,” Johnny said.

Genre(s): angst,angst, and more angst.

A/N: QUICK DISCLAIMERS, I made the reader adopted bc clearly Eli's/Hawk's family is white so this way the reader can be a poc if that's the case, I started this back when S4 came out and just finished it... what does that say about me? Idk. ALSO, Robby's S4 era will always be superior, Robby from S4 you will always be famous, he was unhinged, hot, a menace, and iconic, in this essay I will-

The All Valley's karate rivalry was as old as time, as strong as god's will, and in your opinion, as stupid as it sounds; not to everyone though, especially your brother, the great and mighty Hawk who loved to parade around the city with his new look that carried every piece of confidence he had, unfortunately, now that it was taken away from him, he felt worthless.
You never had a thing against any of the participating parties in this ridiculous dispute, you didn't mess with them, and they didn't mess with you, but you had a limit whenever they attacked your brother, a tiny fine line that went from 'superficial wounds' to 'profound damage' and they crossed it. More like, Robby 'cute face' Keene, crossed it. Even though there was a 98% chance that your brother had brought this on himself, he was still your brother and you'd do anything for your family.
You pushed the glass doors storming into the empty section of the building and hearing them slightly vibrate behind you, "Keene," your voice was stern, no response, "Keene!"
"Back here!" He yelled from the back room.
The stride of your heels resounded in every corner of the concrete, a strong, dominant, and potent tone that could easily make anyone even slightly fearful. And Robby Keene wasn't the exception, no matter how many times Sensei Reese and Sensei Silver prepared him to be a champion, no matter how many hours he had proven to be Cobra Kai's worthiest inheritor, no matter how much muscle mass he gained by the minute, no matter how many days he spent in prison, no matter how many people he'd fought, no matter how many kids in the valley were scared of him, everyone has a weakness, and you were one of his.
There wasn't something in this world he could hate more than that because it didn't make sense, it didn't make any fucking sense for you of all people to hold so much power over him after everything that happened, there was an evident reason behind esteeming the adults around him, some of the other students even, but you? What else were you if not a lovely face? The most beautiful thing he's ever seen in his life, he knew the answer, a little too well for his liking, and as much as he hated it, the fact that you were so out of reach made him want you more.
But he pretended, okay? Oh, he loved, adored even, to act all tough and cocky around you as if you couldn't break his entire facade into little pieces if you so much as softened your features for him, a minimal act he thought he'd never see again, and still, he'd imagined it, he'd daydream about it almost every time you were near him, which with the new tournament coming up, seeing you became more and more recurrent, and so, it didn't get easier to hate you, in fact, the more he saw you, the harder it got.
If and only if you were held at gunpoint, you'd admit that the boy was attractive, pretty even, mostly because you would be sentenced to death by your family or hanged for treason by your brother's friends, but also because confessing to like him meant confessing you liked the guy who for better or for worse, ended up in juvie, and it was something that you didn't wanna be linked with.
You didn't have to say it to know that after all, you were still genuinely captivated by his physique and attitude, the way he carried himself everywhere he went, his ability to make himself seen without saying a word, how he wasn't easy to overlook; maybe it was just you who noticed his presence so intensely, perhaps you convinced yourself the rest of the world did as well just so you wouldn't feel so pathetic by the fact that you couldn't ignore him. And in the attempt to make your life easier and 'problem-free' by neglecting your feelings, it backfired by raising the complicity lever of your desires.
"What can I do for you, Princess?" he didn’t bother to turn around perhaps you’d go quickly so he didn’t have to train his self-control, not again.
If you were in a different mood, you would've rolled your eyes at the little nickname you despised so much, he gave it to you not only to point out that your economical status was clearly higher than his, but also to remind the 10-month-old age gap between you and your brother, a small amount of time that doomed your life to always be put under him, to your family, he was going to grow to be a King, the one who was gonna inherit every important part of their heritage, and you were stuck to be only that, a Princess.
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't put your ass back in jail?" You fumed, irritation blurring out your judgment.
"Because legally, I did nothing wrong, and even if I did, you have no proof of it," he grinned.
"Then explain to me what the hell is wrong with you?!” you spun him by his shoulder,  “You really thought you could just casually shame my brother by cutting his hair and I wouldn't come here to defend him?!"
"You mean the same hair that made him think he could be a bully?" he remained calm.
"You know damn well I never agreed with that," you spat, "Do I need to remind you he was suspended for a week because I went to the principal? And regardless of that, you wanna complain about him making others feel less with violence while you do the same?" you scoffed,  "Wow," you stated with sarcasm.
"It's hair, it'll grow back,"
"You humiliated him! You made him nothing! Not to mention you used a barber's blade, idiot, did you think about how fucking dangerous that was? You could've seriously injured him if he made the wrong move!"
"I warned him, good thing he knows how to listen, he’s not as stupid as he looks," he taunted you more.
You shook your head, "You're gonna listen to me Keene, and you're gonna listen to me very carefully," you got close to him, "If you even so much as breathe in his direction before the tournament, I will end you,"
He chuckled, "Is that supposed to be a threat?"
"No, only cowards like you and your minions make threats, mine is a promise,"
"I'm not a coward," he clenched his jaw holding back the increasing anger.
You laughed, and somehow said more than words could.
"Says the one who came here when it was all alone knowing that if it wasn't, you would've gotten your ass beaten,"
"By who? Your little friend who's on probation?” you tilted your head with an arrogant smirk, “No, you see, I came here at this time because I'm smart, I mean let's be honest, you've never done anything to hurt me and you never will, because… well," you raised your shoulders feeding the fire in his eyes.
"So what? Do you want me to hurt you to prove that I'm not?" he towered over you.
You nodded, "Yes," you took another step towards him, "But then again, you don't want me to win, do you? Because if you hurt me, then that means you care about what I think,”  your voice got slower, “and what would that say about you? True winners don't have to prove anything to anyone but themselves, that's the difference between all of you and me," you separated from him slightly, "But go ahead, make my day and land the first punch,"
He froze in his place processing your words and just barely he noticed he missed your closeness, he couldn't bring himself to do so, pushing down the consuming rage that, later on, would show up stronger when Silver and Kreese find out about this encounter.
"That's what I thought," you scrunched your nose,  "You karate nerds are so stupid, who needs to get physical when you have words?" you told more to yourself, and right when you were about to make, what you considered, a triumphal exit, your arm got yanked, your chest hit him, and your faces were less than an inch away, "What are you doing?" you whispered.
The vulnerability of your words and the fragility of your look melted him, for a split second he lost track of his purpose, but it wasn't until he remembered your words that he snapped out of the trance, "Hurting you," he whispered back before placing your lips on his.
It didn't take long for his action to hitch your respiration, stun your nerves, fill your veins with adrenaline, whisk your logic, and for you to correspond. It was embarrassingly quick if to be completely honest, but it didn't matter, frankly, you were so unashamed of it that your hands slipped behind his neck pushing the two of you impossibly closer. It was hungry, desperate, and frantic; you finally understood Adam and Eve no matter how much you hated religion, finally comprehended the temptation of the forbidden fruit, sweet, delicious, and addictive.
Instinctively, he gently pushed you against the nearest wall and you felt his fingers getting lost in your hair, "I don't need to use a lot of strength to hurt you," he pulled you away trying to recover his breath, "I'm gonna hurt your pride by making you moan my name,"
"Easy there, snake boy," you managed to gasp out as you trailed your fingertips fastidiously along his jawline whilst slightly lifting his chin, "What makes you think you won't moan mine," you weren't ready to let your guard down, not yet, you then switched positions holding his shoulders against the cement. In an act of pure selfishness, you softly cupped his face somewhat catching him off guard, his nose brushed yours as your top lip created contact that was so minimal it could almost be imperceptible, "Nice try,  Keene, but unfortunately for you, I don't fuck losers," you mumbled, although you could've said it in a more impactful tone, you knew, you knew that the intimacy of it all would make your words burn into the very depths of his soul.
You walked out of the Dojo quite easily with him as perplexed as a Marmol statue, the catch was having to drive around the city to cool off your system and release the tension of it all. However, it didn't work, not even a little bit, not even at all, your mind played every different scenario of the continuation of your reckless actions, it was your fault, and you had to accept it, you went to face him knowing damn well how you felt for him, you went knowing damn well he wouldn't just back down easily, knowing he would've put up a fight one way or another, you knew deep inside you, you knew this could happen, you wanted it to happen.
It was inevitable, your brother was just the perfect excuse and you used it, you took advantage of it, you abused it even, he begged you not to do anything and you didn't care enough to listen, you just had to see him, you had to confront him after almost a year of holding back.
You met him while he was still working for the LaRussos, Daniel and your mom had known each other since college, so whenever they began a conversation, no one could stop them or be part of it; on that occasion, you two were invited for dinner, you brother naturally skipped it, but you were forced to go. You couldn't really complain, Sam was nice company at times, and you would mostly gossip about school or complain about teachers, nothing too deep; however, it even amazed you how rapidly you connected with Robby. Was your entire conversation from that night centered on making fun of the adults? Yeah, but you couldn't stop cackling the entire time. After that, whenever you saw each other you two resumed that same chemistry, constantly coming up with inside jokes or witty comments regarding your family, friends, possible love interests, etc. It then patiently evolved into a solid friendship by revealing heavy details of both of your lives; other types of sentiments involved or not, there was a time when all you had was each other.
But the school fight changed everything, Hawk had a personal vendetta against the person who put one of his best friends in a coma, and you... you were scared, not furious, not bitter, just terrified. Of him, your brother and his friends, Sam, everyone that had to go through the aftermath of it all; you burned all of those bridges, gasoline and everything, changed schools in a different part of town, shut down that part of your life. You couldn't afford to give your family another reason to put you under.
"Y/N,  could you stop procrastinating and do something productive?” your mother interrupted your thinkings, “I gotta take this call, take care of them for a minute," she pointed at the waiters.
"Oh, yeah, sure, I- I'll watch them," you answered.
She stepped away.
You huffed scanning the restaurant your family proudly called theirs, it was a second home, warm, comfy, filled with known people, and although you couldn’t make sense of it, you’d always perceived the hazy calmness through the chaos.
There was something hardly recognizable besides the door, at first glance your eyes overlooked it, but as you double-checked your body tensed and your eyes widened so much you were sure they were gonna pop out, he was here.
The last time he showed up at the business was the night before the incident, your parents had conveniently gone to a business dinner and your brother had no intentions on getting out of the house with his hangover, and like every other time he'd been there, you two would steal food from the kitchen, go up to the rooftop and talk about nothing and everything.
Flashback
"And now Mr. LaRusso doesn't wanna have anything to do with me," his voice weakened.
"Oh my god, Robby," you wasted no time in hugging him tightly, "I'm sorry,"
He nuzzled in the crook of your neck sparking something in your gut, you never failed to react to the crumbs of intimacy you always had. His eyes began to water, tears falling into your shirt.
"It's okay, it's okay," you comforted him, both of your torsos gently swinging.
"It hurts so much," he sniffled, "Why does it hurt so much?" it might've sounded a little too melodramatic, perhaps absurd, but he wasn't afraid to be like that, vulnerable, not with you, you never gave him a reason to be.
You pursed your lips, your throat was dry, you were speechless although you'd never been the quiet type, and all you could do was hold him even tighter, a subtle yet relevant symbolism that reminded you that was the closest you could get.
"Why does everyone always leave?" he let the question settle into the breeze although it felt more personal.
It broke you to see him like this, no pain you've ever felt was comparable to seeing he whom you love miserable, there was nothing else you could do but be there, though you didn't think it was nearly as enough as what he needed, "I- I don't know," you couldn't tell if you were lucky to have never experienced such experience, or misfortunate to not have said wisdom to heal him. You cautiously cupped his face, as if one of your movements could hurt him more, he was like stained glass, complicated, fractured, fragile, and yet, his cracks and colors made him the most beautiful soul you’ve ever met "I won't leave you," you ran your thumbs through his cheeks, drying the small showings of his pain.
"You promise?"
"I promise,"
End of flashback
You tried not to draw too much attention to yourself while jogging towards the entrance, "What the hell are you doing here?" you blurted out.
"I wanna talk to you," he seemed happy, probably because of how fearful you, on the other hand, were.
"You- you can't be here right now, I'm not messin' around," you shook your head, you had to react as discreetly as possible.
"Why? Your brother isn't here,"
"It's not just my brother, okay? My family will kill you on sight, please, listen to me," you grabbed his shoulders, "We can't talk, not here,"
"Where then?"
"I-" you looked around making sure your mom was still in her office, "Do we really have to do this right now?" you insisted.
"Yes," he stated firmly.
You pinched the bridge of your nose, "Okay, come on," you pulled his hand with a strength that wasn't necessary.
You entered the tiny meetings room on the other side of the establishment, because of your dad's usual tantrums, it didn't have a camera and it was sound-proofed; you made sure to lock the door and turn off the light so it wouldn't be visible from the bottom of the wood.
"Okay, make it quick, I need to get back to my mom," your words were rushed and stumbling with each other.
"You truly are terrified of your parents aren't you?" he crossed his arms.
"I don't have time for this Robby-"
"Thought I was 'Keene',"
You only began to call him that after in consequence of the Karate outrage, his first name felt too personal, too close.
You shut your eyes in frustration, "Can you stop being an ass for a second and get to the point of whatever it is that you wanna talk about?"
"Why are you so nervous about me being here?" he continued to tease, truth is, he wasn't sure what he was doing there in the first place, all he knew was that here he was, with you.
"It doesn't matter, just- start talking," you pressured.
"Why are you so nervous about me being here?" he repeated.
Your fingers twitched, a manner you developed out of stress, "Because if they see me with you, I'll never hear the end of it, okay?" you fidgeted then with your jewelry.
"If you never wanna be caught in a lie I suggest you stop doing the ring thing," he pointed out, "It makes it easy to tell,"
You halted the action and then shrugged.
"Why are you so nervous about me being here?"
"Because they already filed a restraining order against you, I guess you didn't get it because you're here, but if they call the cops you'll probably end up in juvie and I don't want- If you ever wanna go back to school or get a job is gonna be incredibly difficult,"
He assumed at first you didn't wanna be seen with him because of how much you cared about the reputation of your new life, a valid perspective given how much you made an effort to conceal it all, but hearing you enlightened him, sore him "Don't look at me like that," a small part of his grudge came out.
"Like what?"
"Like you still care about me,"
A choked laugh resounded from your part, "First of all, I'm not apologizing for that, and second-"
"You should," his demeanor abruptly became more defensive.
You tilted your head, "Why?" your energy matched his.
"Because you don't care about me, and acting like you do is very hypocritical of you,"
"When have I ever told you that I don't care about you?" you frowned.
"You don't have to say it, you already proved it,"
"How so?"
"Don't play the innocent part now," he was close to losing his cool,  "You try so hard to hide everything that happened but at even the slightest inconvenience, you go right back where you started, tell me, do your mommy and daddy know you went to see me two days ago? Huh? Or let me guess, you were too scared to tell them?"
"Oh, fuck off Keene, is that all you got? Is that the only thing that you think will affect me? My parents? My reputation?"
"Yes! Because that's the only thing you care about! You're nothing but a self-centered spoiled brat that doesn't know any better than to run away from her problems! You wanna know who the real coward is here? You are! Some of us don't have the privilege of a new start! Keep pretending all you want, but don't forget, I was your friend and you turned your back on me, I wasted my one phone call on you because you were the only person I had, and you hung up on me like I was nothing! Tell me, how am I supposed to be the coward if I'm the one who got hurt because of your selfishness?! You don't care about anyone but yourself!" as much as he attempted to divert the subject of the conversation, his eyes sabotaged him, quickly covering his face in a salty heartbreaking liquid. "You... you weren't there-"
You were both stunned by his reaction, you'd think that with everything he's been put through, he wouldn’t snap so easily, so passionately, so emotionally, but no, all of this was a new part of himself that only you made him feel, he’d only allowed you to do so.
"I needed you! I needed you! And you weren't there! And- and then the first time you say anything to me after I got out-"
If there's something he had while being in juvie was time, precious time he'd spent weaving, machinating; about you, about his dad, about the LaRusso's, about Miguel, about him. Strategizing his next encounter with the world was arduous, but the action of going through with it was the true challenge, and he realized how useless all that time truly was when he heard your voice the first time, suddenly all of it was gone, the effort, the time, the sleepless nights, the daydreaming noons, all of it, turned into nothing, you turned them into nothing.
"I was happy," he exhaled like freeing himself of chains and shackles, "I was so happy, and I enjoyed seeing you mad so fucking much, seeing you in general," he laughed, "I tried to-" he choked on his words, "I tried to hate you so much because you bailed on me but I can't," every inch him began to feel... lighter, "I can't hate you," he sighed, "I- I just can’t,”
Your body didn’t allow you to move, roughly grounding you, vines of regret holding you hostage against soothing him, stopping him, following him outside, responding coherently to your family’s screams, to forget.  You’d lost count of how many days you’d feel as you were still glued to the wooden floor, completely stuck, dried-out blossoms of hope from your heart, rageful deep thorns clinging to your debilitated frame, daunting poison sinking your head.
—How many times?—
How many times would you have to come up with every pretentious and overly-thought narrative to justify everything? You’ve been silenced by your reluctance, aghast by your idealization, confined by your denial, triggered by tension, frozen by your guilt, and finally steered by resentment.
You stared at the faint reflection from the glass, you wanted to immortalize the picture, hair slightly out of place, tugged at clothes, blood burst out of the skin, purple underneath the large organ, nostrils flowing with the lack of air, mouth agape.
—Why?—
You prepared yourself for the question before anyone else asked it.
—Why was protecting Robby’s honor against someone as irrelevant as Natalie Dalmasos worth it?—
You noticed your knuckles finally matching your brother’s.
—He’s never even met her—
Your stomach sunk as if releasing all the ire and digesting it as dread.
—Was it worth it?—
Hammering head.
—Did she deserve it?—
Striking heart.
—You screwed up everything you built—
Trembling legs.
—What did you do?—
Numbed face.
—Why destroy it?—
Streaking neck.
—Why him?—
Overwhelmed.
Then reality came back.
—Shit—
You reached for your phone, quickly texting your mother the first perfectly constructed lie you could think of, you had to disappear at least for tonight, eventually relieved by her believing your sleepover story, you started the car.
—Where else would you go?—
You blankly saw the infamous logo, the white clearness hiding the inside, you took a shaky breath and struggled to get yourself inside the walls, you didn’t have to make yourself known by words, the heavy door did all the work filling it with creaks against the floor for it being poorly moved.
You saw him cautiously walk out of the dark.
“Robby,” you let out a soft smile.
He frowned as you gradually got nearer.
“I- I um-” you gulped, “I just got into a fight, the party- I-,” there was now a lightbulb over your head.
He rushed, “Y/N, holy shit,”
“I- I’m fine, I swear,” you chuckled.
“Fine?! You look like shit!”
“You should see the other guy,” you joked
He shrugged, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to say it like that, I’m just-,”
“Shocked?” you interrupted him, “Surprised? Amazed? Astonished? Stunned? fucking… every other synonym there is?”
He nodded still scanning your body, “Come on, let’s get you cleaned up,” he placed one of your arms on his shoulder to then swiftly carry you bridal style to his mattress. You tilted your head observing the side of his jaw.
“I never noticed you had a scar there,” you whispered.
“One of many of my mom’s bad boyfriends,”
“I’m sorry,” you delicately traced it.
He smiled, “It’s okay,”
You were laid down rather dramatically, or so you thought by the way he treated you like you were made out of paper, you just rolled your eyes and sat up while he went to get the first aid kit.
“This is gonna hurt,” he wet the cotton.
You scoffed, “Relax Robby, I’m a big girl, this isn’t my first drill,”
“Right,” he nodded.
You lowly hissed when the chemical made contact.
“Thought this wasn’t your first drill,” he teased.
“Okay, just because I’ve been hurt before doesn’t mean it’s not painful,” you both laughed, “I can still handle it,”
The rest of the cleaning went somewhat silent, just a few mumbled sorries were thrown around, but by the time he had pulled out the bandages, you grew impatient.
“You’re not gonna ask?” you broke the ice.
“Not really,” he admitted.
“Why?”
“Because,” he raised his shoulders, “It’s too late to go and make ‘em pay for it,”
“Oh god, please don’t, I already did that,”
“What do you mean?” he began to wrap your hand.
“I’m the one who started the fight because they were talking shit,”
“What kind of shit?”
“All kinds, throwing rumors and just- bullshit,”
“About who?”
You licked your lips.
—Really? Now you go silent? You’re already here, fuck it—
“About you,”
“What?” he tightened the cloth too much.
“Ow,”
“Sorry, sorry,” he let go.
“Yeah,” you confessed, “They were talking shit about you and I shut them up,”
“Who?” he was still confused.
“Some girl from my school who thinks she’s fucking… Regina George or somethin’, she’s just a bitch,” you shook your head.
“Why?”
—Why?—
You grabbed his face, and gave him the most mellow and honeyed eyes you’ve ever had, “You haven’t figured that one out yet, have you?” you joined your foreheads as you closed your eyes, “You’re not the smart one out of us anyway,” you heard him giggle.
He brushed his nose with yours, shyly getting closer.
—Are you sure?—
—Yeah—
—Fuck it—
You kissed him for the first time, but held on to it like it was the last, how was it that you could say everything with just that? The most disarming and humble expression there is; the touch of two epidermises, and the completion of dual fantasies. You almost blubber in it, oh sacchariferous little poison of yours, worth every penny, every dime, every tear, every scream, and every dream.
He paused, taking a deep breath, yet never breaking contact.
You sobbed, “I love you,” you dried his cheeks.
“I love you too,” he whimpered.
