Why Chester and Norris are probably more than just Jon and Martin’s voices
The ramblings of a madman who really wants his silly little guys back
Spoilers for up to tmagp episode 4
First of all, just because tmagp can be enjoyed without listening to tma, that doesn’t mean none of the characters from tma will come back. All sequels are designed to be enjoyable on their own, it would be bad writing otherwise. You never know where a new listener/viewer/reader will start, so everything needs to be able to be enjoyed by itself so that they continue to consume your content, but that doesn’t stop writers from including characters from the original work. Just look at Marvel movies. You don’t need to have watched every single movie that came before to enjoy Infinity War (I hadn’t, and I still loved Infinity War), but it’s still able to reference things from those previous movies without explaining the entire MCU at the time. Characters can come back from tma and tmagp can still be enjoyable for new listeners. These two things aren’t mutually exclusive.
One of the major theories is that the fears are just using their voices from the tapes. This doesn’t explain Augustus’ voice, though. His voice isn’t anywhere on the tma tapes, unless you want to say he’s a recast for Leitner, which doesn’t really make sense for any other reason than they sound similar. It’s much more likely that Augustus is og Jonah, since he was the only one in the panopticon with Jon and Martin (plus there’s no implication that Elias’s body in the rubble in MAG200, so Jonah could have been sent wherever Jon and Martin went).
As pointed out very often, even though we only have four cases read out by the text to speech voices, they all line up pretty well with the characters they would be. Chester reads the case about the dangers of the Magnus Institute, serving as a warning for what’s to come. Norris reads the cases about love and how easily it is to lose yourself to these fears. Finally, Augustus reads the case from the 18th century about a selfish man willing to use the fears to harm other people in order to get what he wants.
Another thing I don’t see mentioned a lot is the censorship around who Jonny, Alex, and Tim Fearon are playing. When the official cast was revealed, the characters they were playing were censored. On top of that, at the end of each episode, when listing the cast members and who they play, Jonny, Alex, and Tim Fearon are always listed as “additional voices” rather than as Chester/Norris/Augustus. It just seems like a weird thing to do if they end up being just text to speech programs.
Finally, the first case with “some of” Arthur coming back and Jonny’s statement on it about being careful for what you wish to come back because it’ll come back wrong just parallel the situation too well. It could be a coincidence, but it could also be some great foreshadowing.

(Spoilers for TMA and TMAGP below.)
Just remembered that Jonah’s desiccated original corpse was in the tunnels in TMA and had a flurry of TMAGP theories sprout in my brain. (I haven’t been in the fandom much recently, so apologies if any of this has already been said elsewhere.)
Maybe the thing coming out of the trap door in ep 10 is Jonah’s og zombie corpse? The body holding Jonah’s eyes and consciousness may have died, but in TMA it was indicated that this body needed to be killed in order to kill Jonah, or at least to kick him out of the Panopticon’s seat of power to make way for Martin. If it has any trace of life or Jonah (or just The Eye) left in it, maybe it could have slowly dragged itself up to that trap door over the years.
On that matter, maybe Elias became the new Jonah in this universe too, and that’s why Gwen is trying to learn more about this supernatural world. She either knew he had been changed, or she wants to know what happened that led to his death/disappearance after the fire - assuming that’s what happened to Elias in this world. (That or maybe Elias was also in the “gifted program” and something went terribly wrong.) something something we thought Alice was the new Tim but alas it was Gwen the whole time etc.
If Jonah was pulled from the TMA universe and isekai’ed into an ancient computer along with jmart, maybe he’s able to reach out to this parallel version of this body, possessing it to interact with the world or just puppeteering it.
On the subject of the fearsome threesome stuck in a computer, there is also the question of what “Chester”s game is, seemingly leading Sam on to fish around in the Magnus Institute ruins. Maybe his last message was a warning not to do this, but Sam seemed pretty resigned to not getting answers before that statement from artifact storage. Maybe “Chester” wanted to free a version of Jon himself from the tunnels, or maybe there’s a disconnect between the actions of “Jon” trying to lead Sam to answers and “Chester” sharing a forum thread in the first ep seemingly warning Sam to stay away from the Magnus Institute. Then again, maybe this too was trying to send Sam to the institute, since Sam seemed to have not thought about his experiences there for a long time. So maybe this whole thing really is Jon leading Sam to uncover these things, not wanting to be “another goddamn mystery,” and maybe the the thing crawling out of the basement is related to Jon. OR maybe there’s nothing stopping a trapped Jonah from using Jon’s voice for his own ends. After all, that email to Sam may have been from “Jon,” but consider that the first three letters of Jonah’s name are indeed J O N OH HO HO I SEE WHAT YOU’RE DOING JONNY, THEY CALLED ME MAD BUT I SAW THROUGH YOU THIS WHOLE TIME-

ok i just looked back through my blog and it looks like my big theory from way back last year has just… disappeared?? which i’m pretty annoyed about tbh, but i want to expand on it and update it anyway because the casting announcement and logo all validate it and make it a lot more interesting SO
my big magnus protocol theory and what i think the plot will be
so, this is a world completely without the Fears, until BAM. here they are. and with the arg, the encrypted messages and the glitchy aesthetic they seem to be going for, now further expanded on by the logo literally being a glitchy computer screen, i was thinking what if as the fears entered the universe, there was some kind of mass signal or energy surge.
imagine all the screens and electronics in the world suddenly go static, and a jumbled-up incomprehensible message (like the “statement remains” audio) can be heard everywhere, all around the world. and it goes on for around 20-30 minutes. and in those minutes, every single person in the world is fucking TERRIFIED. just frozen in absolute fear.
and of course this causes thousands and thousands of accidents and deaths and just generally terrifies everyone, so naturally every world government thinks it’s an attack of some kind. hence why we follow civil service workers, specifically those working for Incident Assessment and Response. this would be quite an incident!!
in these first few episodes following the signal, we also hear from the prime minister. and i originally thought it would be REALLY fun if the uk prime minister in this universe is the og Elias. i love this idea with all my heart for many reasons, but it doesn’t look like ben meredith will be in it, so i’ve had to modify it a bit. so, either the prime minister will be gwendolyn bouchard, who could either be a relative of elias or transfem elias (although, trans prime minister?? in this godforsaken country??) OR the tim fearon character, who could potentially be jonah magnus or a similar previously established character. but personally, i’m betting on miss gwendolyn, so keep that in mind as you read the rest of this.
and so at the end of the first or second episode, we hear this prime minister in a big meeting about the incident, and the episode ends on a cliffhanger that reveals what the unscrambled audio really was.
it’s mag 200. which is why jon and martin are (potentially) on the cast list. the fears are ushered into the universe using their voices.
but i think what would be an even cooler cliffhanger is if after this big reveal, after the tape squeals and basira says good luck, we hear something we’ve never heard before.
“oh, hello. are you still listening?”
OR
tim fearon’s voice.
so this is where the REDACTED names really come into play. idk what the actual plot will be, but my idea is that jon, martin, and the tim fearon character, who i personally think is the voice of the original jonah magnus, are:
1, stuck as “ghosts in the machine” of sorts, living on as disembodied glitchy voices and nothing more
2, are huge eldritch entities, who can speak through anything and anyone, maybe possess people, etc, and possibly act as similar entities to the fears in a way, creating their own avatars and suchlike - maybe to fight the fears in jon and martin’s cases
or 3, the fears use their voices to actually speak, probably through recordings and electronics, meaning the REDACTED isn’t just to conceal their characters, they actually just don’t have names
also this is a much smaller point but because her name and presumed age are so out of place in comparison to the rest of the cast, i think lady mowbray is a psychic or mystic woman of some kind rather than an actual noble woman, and will be able to talk to the new jon and martin, whatever they are
so yeah that’s it i guess! i hope all this makes sense, if anyone has any questions, anything to add or challenge, or just want to discuss it please please do!! i want to see what people think of this in light of all the new information because i LOVE this idea so much that if it doesn’t happen i might just write it myself lol

I unfortunally don't have The Sims 4 anymore (I had the og paired with totally legal not even a lil bit OFMD inspired DLCs but the DLCs bugged for ocean reasons and it broke the og and now I don't have it but can't redowload it because it acts as if it's still on my PC) but I was looking at my phone's note to delete some and I found a detailed traits plan for a bunch of TMA characthers. So I'm posting it here in case someone finds it usefull or a fun thing to discuss (or tells me how to fix my game so I can add new totally legal DLCs and play as my beloved blorbos).

i mean, it's also good to keep in mind that ben meredith is currently busy Having A Real Life Baby, so it could have been purely a production choice. maybe they really did just want a basic "everyone who died in the panopticon," and they had to shift gears and make it og jonah's voice due to logistics
but then why not just cut the third voice and do something else? tma did a lot of warping and wiggling to respond to production constraints (ex., killing sasha first instead of tim, no live dekker statement, basira's main s5 arc being four consecutive episodes), stuff got axed if wasn't feasible, they aren't precious about their ideas. and even if that were the case, having this third previously unheard voice is still inherently a big point of mystery and would require an in-universe explanation. What Does It All Mean.

Magnus archives head cannons pt 2 - SPOILERS!!
1.) Peter Lukas was born around 1906, which would have made him about 28 in 1934, and it would make sense that he became an avatar in the Great Depression. I like to think Peter Lukas was between 28-40 (big gap, I know) when he became an avatar, and since it's not clear how the lonely keeps there avatars alive for more than the average lifespan, Peter could have stopped aging in the mid to late 40s.
2.) another one about Peter Lukas - I've recently been learning about the Great Depression and something I .earned was that it was acceptable to be in debt because it came across as you were enjoying yourself by spending money. now, where the Lukases come in is that what if they were not in debt? like, at all. the people around them could have seen they were not spending money (the very very little people they barely socialized with) and made the impression that they were a miserable family, which would probably warrant people going out of their way to not be around them. which, of course, the Lukas family would definitely want.
3.) Jonah Magnus was trans and gay, and struggled with body dysmorphia+gender dysphoria. the OG Elias Bouchard was also transgender and under the bi umbrella, and when Jonah body hopped from James to Elias, I like to think he was like "aw shit we gotta do this again are you kidding me ):< "

skeleton appreciation day for me is the flesh,, dont get me wrong i can see your ideas too but i always interpreted the song as being about eds and negatively/unhealthily watching your weight in order to achieve "the perfect body" by society's standards; by being skinny,, "tell me you can see my bones" , "to cut down on my silhouette" and the whole end dialogue, so that fits into the flesh for me considering another situation of someone wanting the "ideal body" is something that is discussed in a flesh statement (mag90-bodybuilder), but i can see some themes in the song that can could be corruption, plus both the flesh and corruption are pretty closely linked at times (and smirkes system is just inaccurate to begin with)

What is lonelyeyes week?
A week long event focused on the relationship of Peter Lukas and Jonah Magnus (no matter what body he currently inhabits). For every day of the week there will be two prompts to get your inspiration flowing.
When does the event take place?
It takes place from Monday 18th of September to Sunday 24th of September.
Where can I find the prompts for the event?
We will release the list with prompts a month before the event.
Do I have to follow the prompts?
Not at all. The prompts are here to give you inspiration but if the event motivates you to create any other content related to the ship we will be happy to share it.
What kind of content should I create?
You can create anything from fanfics and fanarts to cosplays, podfics and playlists or anything else that comes to your mind.

I don’t ship Peter with Jonah. Can I do something for Peter/og Elias instead?
Unfortunately this doesn’t really fit the theme of our event as it is focuses on the relationship between Peter Lukas and Jonah Magnus.

You want my Magnus Protocol thoughts? No? Well too bad you get them anyways. Spoilers for the first two episodes ahead.
- First thing’s first the horror writing is just as good as ever. I’ve got my worries about the writing but the actual horror is not one of them. The second episode especially… absolute chills.
- I love love love the characters. Sam seems to be the opposite of Jon in a lot of ways but he’s just as if not more compelling as a protagonist. He also seems to have some sort of connection to the institute, which could be good or bad depending on how they take it.
- Alice is also great. She’s both comic relief and a grounding force for the other characters at the same time and I love that. Probably my favorite character so far
- Gwen has the potential to be amazing but that last name scares me. OG!Elias wouldn’t have had any family that cared about him or else Jonah wouldn’t have used him, so Gwen has to be a distant relative of some kind. If this ends up being a ‘im staying to find out what happened to my uncle’ situation that would be cool, but I’ve got a sneaking suspicion it’s not and I really hope I’m wrong.
- I really hope with all of my heart the TTS robots aren’t Jon and Martin but I’m 99% sure they are. At the very least I’m holding out hope they aren’t our Jon and Martin. The reason TMA’s ending was so powerful was because it was left open, but Jmart being around in Protocol kinda ruins that… which brings me to my last point
- This show was made to cash out on the success of TMA. That’s a fact. And I’m very worried that’s all this is going to be. Especially with how quickly Jon and Martin showed up. I love the characters and I’m really worried this is just going to be Jon and Martin’s Apocalypse Adventures 2: Electric Boogaloo. Call me paranoid but I think this show’s downfall will be being too reliant on TMA and not really having an identity of it’s own, and these first episodes didn’t do anything to quell that fear. Right now I’m cautiously optimistic, but I’ve got my expectations set to zero for the time being.

Eliasmichael headcanons
[I rotated the concept of Og!Elias and Michael a bit too intensively in my head, and this was the aftermath I put down on paper, containing my most self-indulgent headcanons.]
Eliasmichael...they could be so pathetic for each other for a lot of fucking reasons. It's literally just angst if you look under the surface. It's lovely.
-> supernatural trauma for both of them: one resulted in relentless knowledge and answer-seeking, with an affinity for the Watcher, the other fears the Eye, because he saw his friend be taken by it, and got so deeply marked that he still walks into the open arms of Jonah Magnus...
-> identity issues: Elias has trauma from home, the treatment he got for simply being trans, so he walks away with such low self-esteem, that he can't stop proving himself to everyone. That, of course, doesn't allow him to show any weakness.
Michael's nonbinary, but refuse to think about it too much because he just wants to fit in, so he's mostly still just confused. He's unlucky enough to also experience dysphoria, because he can't, and doesn't even know how to dress the way he wants, he's bothered by his height, his hair (long or short, sometimes doesn't matter), his facial hair, and everything that makes other people assume, but he still thinks he doesn't care enough for it to mean anything. Results in some pretty unhealthy eating habits.
-> unavoidable faith: Michael being led to his end by threads of the Web and not knowing for the last moment, Elias deep down knowing so well what awaits and still unable to do anything against it.
-> running away: Elias wants to hide and forget where he came from, and Michael still reminds him of it, because he thinks Elias deserves to be treated how he was meant to be, so he can unintentionally use Elias to hide even more from his own life, failure, issues.
-> weed and anxiety meds.

OG! Elias: Hey, Bossman, I read your e-mail about the promotion and I'm actually glad you called me here because I wanted to decline it in person. In parts because it's a serius subject but also because I'm pretty sure you don't really know how to send an e-mail. That one was... interesting. Look, man, I like working with the Institute and I do have things .... paranormal things, that are still unsolved buut I'm not your guy. I like where I am and to be honest I'll probably quit when my things are over anyway. I have like a real good curriculum so I could work in a better place. So, all this said can I still have my old job?
Jonah: *faced backwards on his chair* ...
OG!Elias: Bossman?
Jonah: *gets up still not facing Elias* ...
OG!Elias: Mr. Wright?
Jonah: *turns to face him*
OG!Elias: Mr. Wright ... what are you holding?
Jonah: *gettig closer*
OG!Elias: Is that a knife???
And that was how "Elias Bouchard" became the new head of the Magnus Institute.

I finally got caught up on The Magnus Protocol and I have some thoughts
Long post and spoilers ahoy!
Overall, I'm enjoying it, though I don't think it caught my attention the way the first eps of TMA did. I think that's due to the robotic voices giving the statements; I know they're meant to lack emotion as speech-to-text, but I do miss the more storytelling-type of way the statements were read in TMA.
Character-wise, I like all of the main crew. I think my favorite is Colin. And with Gwen's last name being Bouchard, I hope she's related to TMA OG!Elias, or the Elias of this universe who's hopefully also just a lil stoner dude.
The statements are interesting, though I find them less scary than TMA (probably due to the delivery). I think they'll get more involved and spooky though, especially due to all of the connections to TMA that are popping up.
Poor Sam has already committed the cardinal sin of curiosity/wanting to know more.
Celia has to be the Celia from TMA who was part of Georgie and Melanie's cult in season 5. The way she mentioned tape recorders, being buried alive, meat, etc. makes me think she's from the original universe. Plus she thought she recognized "Chester's" voice. And that same episode where she says that, Hilltop was mentioned, which is very sus.
I lost my shit when Gerry appeared (he's still goth and I will die on that hill), alongside GG/Grandma Gertrude. He sounded so happy, which on on hand made me happy (because that poor boy deserves it), but also makes me concerned that Jonny "I can't wait to kill again" Sims has something devious planned, like killing him off on-screen this time or something about the fact that he seemed almost too happy.
Georgie was mentioned so I hope we see her and Melanie and Basira! This also makes me wonder if we'll see Tim and Sasha in this universe too and I hope we do. Also if Michael Shelley (non-spaghetti boy version) appears, the writers will probably be able to hear me screaming all the way at the RQ offices in the UK.
(This is how Doorkeay/GerryMichael can still win.)
As for whether Jon and Martin are trapped in the computers, I'm not sure. I could see that being the case, but I do think it would be interesting if they weren't and there was some other reason why it has their voices (Web reasons?). That said, if it is them in the computers, then "Augustus" is definitely Jonah Magnus.
The email that Sam got from "John/Jon" is what led him to Gerry and Gertrude, right? Is it likely that that was from our beloved Archivist? Yes. But John/Jon is also one of the most common English names, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone else entirely. Perhaps even this universe's Jon Sims.
Last thought is that I don't think Smirke's Fourteen applies here. The statements we've gotten so far have all had some similarities (the violin being tied to The Slaughter, the movie being tied to The Eye, etc.) but there are enough differences that I don't think that original categorization will work. And besides, TMA established that the fourteen all overlap anyway, and trying to categorize them by human standards is futile. I saw that theory about the new entities being "desires" rather than "fears", but I'm not sure I buy that yet.

Right... right. MAG 192-194 thoughts. fuck.
Ok, so MAG 192-193 kinda felt like one bigger episode together, so I’m gonna lump them together. Starting off: 193 was really cool with how they set up the sound and the reveal in 194 about the difference in power levels between Jon and Elias in the ascendant Panopticon. Like, we are told in the Jonah room that nothing can really interrupt Jonah’s connection with the Eye as he is the focal point of the apocalypse all the terror is siphoned through and into the Eye. However, less than 5 minutes later we have Jon “taking a Statement” about Elias where Jonah is forced to participate in the Statement instead of Watching the apocalypse. So that was really cool, and actually even more cool for this being the first “collaborative” Statement we’ve ever had? Like, I think this is the first (and probably only) time in TMA that more than one person has participated in a Statement.
Also, I guess, to address Rosie: about all I can say is oof. No one deserves what happens to them in TMA, but Rosie definitely ended up pulling a “Jon” in that she was too close to Beholding and fed it it she could no longer escape even if she wanted. Not quite as literally as Jon, but she’s practically a Revenant or a Vampire’s slave at this point. She has thoughts of her own, but she exists only to serve the Pupil of the Eye at this point. Or just “Elias”? I don’t know if we ever get an answer about what happens to her during the events of MAG 200 from what little I’ve heard about the episode, but I’m definitely curious to find out. (And isn’t that the problem? Wanting to Know but never interfere, no matter how terrible it ends up being. And 100% that’s how Jon was Jonah’s perfect Archivist, because Jonah’s Archivist for Marking needed to fight the Watcher’s implicit tendency to Watch but never interfere just enough to get himself into situations where the other Powers had access to him, but not enough to try to escape the supernatural in any serious capacity. fuck, getting this “on paper” made it actually click holy shit.)
One last note about 193: I know the Statement is OG!Elias’s, but why do I have a very strong suspicion that Jon’s interview went very similarly to Elias’s, and that’s why Jonah/Elias played a part in the Statement recital? What are the odds that Jon pulled something similar in both the “What are you afraid of” and “Why are you here” sections of the interview? Even worse: do you think Jonah managed to give Jon a minor panic attack in his interview as well? Things to think about I guess.
And finally, 194: #1) that was rough. They needed that argument don’t get me wrong, because Jon still can’t actually communicate but he also still struggles with falling to his monstrous tendencies; and Martin is still trying to keep Jon on the straight and narrow. I will say, I thought the “sending all of humanity to it’s ultimate demise faster“ plan had been synthesized with this revelation about being able to control the apocalypse. I thought Jon had told Martin about this plan before the evil spider plan. He still might, and probably will, and it shouldn’t still surprise me that Jon is still incapable of making good plans, but this definitely recontextualizes some of the time travel fix it fics I’ve read in the last several months. (How on earth have I only been in this fandom for upwards of 4 months? It feels like years and my bookmarked fics hit over 120 recently.)
#2) It’s very amusing to me the Eye tries to communicate through Statements. It makes sense that a sapient fear god communicates through other’s trauma, and opens the floodgates to questions like: if the Stranger created it’s own version of Magnus’s apocalypse, how would it communicate with it’s designated linchpin? The Hunt? The Dark? ect.
#3) Ok Martin, I get it. Your BF is impossible and the spider lady who you seem to hate way more now than you used to has a plan, and by God you need literally anything all to convince your BF to not metaphysically kill himself in a bid to move the suffering around to people who “deserve” it. Because you don’t trust that he’ll come back from “thinking” without trying to convince you again that it’s a good idea.
It fucking kills me how terrible these two are at trusting each other. I know at the start of the season I was bemoaning their unhealthy dynamic, got excited mid-season that things were turning and they were making baby steps towards maybe being healthier towards each other.... But nooooooooo.
I think what gets me most though, is that all these problems are normally fine in long form slow burn relationship portrayals. Like, even in a healthy relationship these kinds of pressures would be sure to cause some strife. But we never get to see them have a functional relationship. The 3 weeks in the cabin we can presume they at best “honeymooned” at, was all off screen. We went from them having a moment to reconnect for the first time in months - over a year, to them sounding relatively happy together before Jon accidentally kicks off the apocalypse. I mean, we get snippets of Martin trying to help Jon cope in the cabin, but the moment they’re on their first domain they’re falling apart at the seams with little moments sprinkled throughout that almost feel forced because there’s just... no background to it? augh, I’m so terrible with words, but does any of this make sense?
In any case, I feel for both Jon and Martin in this, but due to my particular leanings towards Jon as Blorbo of my Show; I’m probably going to be more sympathetic to him even if Martin is generally speaking, the better person in every conceivable way possible.

Pokémon the Curatellas would have and why [part 2 of this because I'm. Insane]
MEREDITH [their mom] (She's probably just a doctor, I can't see her battling much... anyway here's her very normal medicine type team)
- Absol [This Pokémon's whole premise is that it tries to save people from disaster but gets unfairly labeled as a bad omen, so I think Ms. MALPRACTICE would love that kind of premise. Also, it'd be helpful to have in hospital situations in case someone contaminated enters a room or if something could go wrong during survery.]
- Chansey [Literally THE doctor Pokémon. Also stall is so annoyingly effective Meredith would love it]
- Gliscor [It can heal itself with poison and I like to think it can do the same with people by sucking out the poisons in their body. Which is something you'd probably not want to hear your doctor say as she puts a scorpion bat near your wounds]
DONATELLO [their dad] (he's another doctor but he's not actively committing medical malpractice like a certain someone, so here's his actually normal 'mon)
- Miltank [Associated with some... very difficult battles in the OG games, but also just a great little healing Pokémon. I think it'd be popular with the kids he works with simply because its very round and gentle looking. Her name is moomoo or something and shes his 5th spoiled baby]
MELAINE (If you guessed Bug, you are correct. She absolutely is bug. This woman hasn't thought about anything other than bugs, science and her husband in like years.)
- Fomantis -> Lurantis [This was probably her starter to be honest ! It's mantis and she's hyperfixated on them, so no surprise there. The only one out of her siblings not to have an orthodox professor-given starter, she actually just befriended this little guy when she was a kid and it has been with her since !!]
- Scolipede [TANKY fellow, but also just a fast bug boy. Melaine is the type of person to be completely unafraid of bugs and scolipede is absolutely no different. Sure, it may be poisonous, giant and mean looking, but Mel loves it to death and you can redirect your complaints to the box if you dislike it. Probably has an unfittingly cute name too, like Fifi or Viola.]
Shedninja/Ninjask [Now these guys, they're technically the same Pokémon, but Mel couldn't possibly keep the FASTEST Pokémon that isn't a legendary out of her team ok. Its a delightfully weird little critter with bizarre properties and she fucking adores it. Also it can shoot lasers. That is fucking cool]
- Yanmega [FAST guy !!! WEIRD fellow !! Its everything a girl could want in a bug. Its also incredibly violent so it adds onto Melaine's bizarre courage and unyielding determination. Like, seriously, look at its desc- "Extremely violent. When hunting, it wastes none of its energy, aiming only for prey’s most vulnerable spots. Any who manage to tame this Pokémon must be of incredible bravery". Mel is so cool and normal you guys.]
- Genesect [A Pokémon given to her by her husband, Jonah, who figured the double steel/bug typing would be cute since it matches both of them ! She loved it...nowadays, its a nice reminder of him.]
ANTON (Water/Psychic, because those are both things you use when you're a dentist)
- Primarina [He loves this dramatic mermaid seal so fucking much. It is his right hand arm. His silly seal. The greatest joy of his many joys. It grew from a small silly guy and it became a gorgeous princess and Anton couldn't be prouder. It can't exactly help with dentistry, but its still his most amazingest pokimen ever]
- Slowking [This is the most helpful 'mon in the clinic simply because it is able to move things around with its mind. Caught it as a slowpoke not sure of what to do with it, but eventually decided he was determined to teach it about dentistry. And it worked. Sort of.]
- Alakazam [Another Pokémon I think could be pretty useful in a clinic. It's smart as hell and it has hands ok ? Anton is a licensed doctor and he says you can trust the Alakazam.]
PHIL (Fire. Because he is. So mad. Constantly. (Half joke))
- Blaziken [The only fire starter who isn't a hazard to have in a pharmacy simply because it doesn't have fire on it constantly. Originally only got Torchic because his parents said he had to get a Pokémon, but since then got really attached.]
- Fletchinder [Loves birds so much, so this one was just a no brainer. Can't evolve it because of the space it'd take up however... its okay, they're both happy as it is <3]
THEO (Grass/Psychic, because you use it when you're a therapist. Also, it just follows their general aesthetic)
- Meganium [Studied this line carefully before ever deciding to actually get one for herself, but it was worth it because they're now bffs. Spoils this walking fern like its his only purpose in life, and in return gets a pretty chill room buddy who patients can pet while they vent !]
- Victreebel [Sir, that's my emotional support fucked up plant. Not really much of a reasoning I just think Theo would love murder plants]
- Leavenny [It was originally supposed to be their sister's, but unluckily for her, Theo was faster with the pokeball throwing. Mel isn't over it but its okay, they can share custody of the little lady.]
