okay I have so many thoughts on the cherry magic pilot, many of which might sound Stupid and Wrong

how can you talk about all things a person is expected to be and do and finish it off with this question

WHEN YOU TURN THE CHARACTER NOTORIOUS FOR WANTING NO RELATIONSHIP WHATSOEVER INTO A PART OF A COUPLE

when I saw the prior introduction of these two I thought they might have dropped this very stupid change but ig not, I suppose they'll give her some other type of struggle with societal expectations

not too hyped for jan and sing as a couple, I like them both so much but I have no reason to believe their chemistry would be smth special

when I saw mark i got a bit worried because ive only seen him as prince in sky in your heart but I got shocked how much he seems to resemble yutaro

i wasn't sure bout junior but they do seem to resemble the pair a lot when together and I hope their acting brings out more of the characters' charm (because I did feel a bit iffy about them in the japanese version ngl)

I also think he'll portray his character a bit differently, he seems more down-to-earth and confident so he'll probably tone down the obsessive loser vibe of the original; hopefully mark has improved

they look cute ♡

the bland backgrounds and too much voiceover kinda bored me but it's only a pilot, I'm sure it'll work better in the full episodes

as for our stars, I think new seems a bit ridiculous as achi, maybe because he's a big guy trying to make himself look small? I don't mind that the height difference that eiji and keita have isn't replicated, but new is also very broad shouldered and overall doesn't seem to give off the aura of a guy with bad self esteem issues with his acting; the way he looked almost happy in the elevator reveal scene

and some other scenes made me think new def has a different take on the character. that his version would be either 1) "no confidence in theory, way more in practice" in which case the script would be to blame or 2) developments true to the character but not acted out the right way. there's also the option that everyone makes achi a more confident guy on purpose - he's written like that and so new presents him that way. that option is a bit unlikely considering a line in the pilot related to self esteem but it already seems like the source material might've been a bit misunderstood

I think it's cause of the actors' faces just being the way they are that tay gives off "puppy wagging tail aggressively" more than keita did - tay's big eyes and smile just do it by default

it feels like his interpretation of kurosawa's character would be more innocent and playful, kind of as if he'd confess earlier than kurosawa did, I get more of a careless vibe though I'm sure they'll stick to the og motivations and doubts the character has; he doesn't contain himself the way kurosawa does:

i remain optimistic! the show is based on a manga that is drenched in multiple aspects of japanese culture, societal commentary is based on japanese society for the most part. having the story take place in thailand with thai characters will obviously have the main conflicts presented through a thai lens. you can also see the comedic editing typical for thai shows and it differs from the japanese comedic style you can see in the og adaptation. im excited to see whether trying to stick to the og yet changing other aspects will work or not. there are already things that I look forward to and things im nervous about so i hope it's anything but boring lol

But they’re adorable and have my heart. And when I started the AI, they were just supposed to be buddies and then it spiraled ok. So it’s not my fault.

Mira: Wild Witch Dancing ✨

...

"In Titans name what is that girl doing?" Darius demands as he passes by a window and sees Mira standing outside in the Boiling Rain.

EberWolf snarls in response and Darius nods knowing she was likley training or doing something equally stupid to prove herself. Before he can storm towards the castle doors and order she come inside where it's safe, Raine pulls him and EberWolf down and out of Mira's line of sight. Now tucked behind the golden castle curtains Darius sat sprawled out on the stone ground stunned as Eber growled. Putting a finger to their mouth to quiet the other two coven heads Darius glares at Songbird but pauses as he follows their eyes to the window. Curiously they watch as a silver circle hovers over Miras head before it floats down covering her body. Now having a light shimmer around her she seemed unphased as the acid rain comes down harder. Her hair becomes wet and her clothes get drenched but the smile never leaves her face as the protection spell does its job.

"... what is she doing?" Darius asks as he shifts to get a better look. His gloved hands touch the window sill before he pulls back nose crinkling at the dust. Eber whines at all the movement but he shoos off the beast focusing on his student with genuine interest.

"Just watch." Raine responds quietly, a little sparkle in their eye as they smile at their fellow covenheads. Darius hums and although annoyed at being pulled to the dirty ground and feeling childish hiding like this his curiosity gets the better of him. Getting into a more comfortable position EberWolf sits on Dariuses lap curling up in his cape as they get comfortable too. Their orange eyes focused on the girl as she got in a starting position.

Suddenly soft music filled the air, a gentle melody the coven heads had never heard before. It caused the rocks around her to lightly float as Mira's hair slowly shifted off her shoulders. An instrument hovered nearby under the safety of castle cover playing itself with her magic. Playing what she felt. As the song began Mira started to dance. Her moves were elegant at first, graceful like the song and calculated like her fights. But as the music sped up and became more raw she started to lose her composure and get lost in the powerful sound. She spun and soared as she danced through the courtyard matching the pace and mood of the music.

"I've never seen her dance like this…" Darius mumbles in shock seeing his student out of uniform and enjoying herself. Mira was often put together and rarely did he see her having fun. She was very serious when it came to her job and responsibilities and despite being only seventeen she acted like an adult twice her age. Unless he or another covenhead dragged her somewhere for some much needed time off he had never seen her so relaxed. Raine simply nodded with a soft smile the smell of the Boiling Rain and music keeping a calm atmosphere.

"She's good isn't she? She doesn't do it often but the rain. When it rains I can't explain it. It always makes her feel more free." The bard says as they adjust their glasses and squint to get a better look. Darius simply hums moving so Eber could get more comfortable as he leaned against the wall watching her with a little smile.

"Little abomination with all her secrets." He nods watching her impressed. She did a low sweep of her right leg before kicking up splashing water all around her.

The music was also oddly captivating. Darius began to hum along despite not knowing the song, becoming completely relaxed as his cheek pressed into the wall. While none of the coven heads knew where it was from or what it meant Mira clearly had played this tune many times. As she spun across the grass faster Eber hummed tilting his head. Darius glanced where Eber was staring and was surprised to see flowers sprouting at the girls feet as she continued to dance. She didn't even seem to notice her magic at work, much too absorbed in her dancing to take notice of her powers.

"And what are you all- ahhh!" As Darius pulled Adrian down by his tail the illusionist glared at him, flaring his nose in anger. Now sitting on the ground behind the curtains next to them he hissed at the rough yank. Darius simply waves him off, continuing to observe Mira.

"She'll hear you. Quiet." Darius snaps his eyes never leaving the window even as Adrain demands his attention. Finally done trying to get Darius to pay attention to him his nose twitched before he stared out the window at what his co-workers were watching.

"It's pouring, what is she doing out there?" Adrain demands, concern edging into his voice as his tail swished in an irritated matter flicking at the curtain behind them. His hands gripped the window sill as his blue eyes focused on the girl.

"She's fine." Raine promises before leaning against their crossed arms on the window sill. As Adrain went silent, tail still swishing Mira spun below them with her eyes closed. Poppies and other wild flowers bloomed at her feet, flourishing despite the acid rain. Tilting his head Adrains eyes can see the rain acting strange. Was she using the water to project images?

"And what's happening here?" Terra questions only for Adrain to shush her enraptured by Miras performance. He ushers Terra to sit down and although the older woman seems confused at the insistence of her fellow covenheads to do so, she does so. As she summons a large flower as a cushion her expression changes seeing Mira. "Why is Sprout in the rain? She'll wilt away!" She protests about to stand but Adrain grabs her arm shaking his head as he keeps watching. He tilts his head and as Terra observes Mira she sees the girl is okay. In fact better than okay as she lands a jump and does some complicated spins. More plants grow under her feet and Terra hummed in approval as she continued.

Settling down doing her best to remain out of sight Miras lost in her dancing and doesn't notice her secret audience. The rain felt warm against her skin and although she knows she should be afraid of it she didn't let that fear get to her. She was having fun and laughing. Doing a tricky turn to match the music she continues her fun.

Vitimir tilted his head as he walked down the hallway the rest of the covenheads we're in. Noticing the curtains shift he moves them ready for a fight as Hettie stands behind him with a scalpel. Surprised to see their coworkers, they saw what everyone was staring at. Humming as Raine patted the floor he bent his hat before he hunched down to not be seen joining the rest of them. Hettie intrigued to see how this would end and if their pupil would burn herself huddled next to Vitimir. They all remained silent being a quiet audience as their apprentice continued to let out what she was feeling.

The song was slowly coming to a close but Mira stayed high energy regardless. The earth shifted and she created platforms to jump on and off as she began to do more complicated moves. Uldritch, having felt the use of construction magic came to see who was working in the Boiling Rain only to pause as he passed the rest of the covenheads. Crossing his arms and watching the girl with everyone he chuckled amused at her antics. Orsan without much complaint joins the others as he passes by, sitting next to Terra as he shares her flower cushion. As the song reached a crescendo he hummed, sensing something was coming.

Soon despite their original worries all the covenheads were hunched around the window watching their apprentice skillfully dance in the scorching rain, never getting burned as her spell protected her. While at times it appeared more wild and free her dancing switched from structured to unstructured as she just had fun and let go enjoying the rain and the happiness it brought. The magic she cast while dancing was all in good fun and caused unintentionally by her spinning around in circles. But she didn't seem to mind simply losing herself in this moment.

"MIRA!" All the covenheads stop as they hear a voice call out for her. The girl freezes instantly before she turns looking like she'd been caught doing something wrong. The music stops as the instrument clatters to the ground from her shock and she's left with a confused and wide eyed expression as Lilith and Hunter stare at her. "What were you thinking? What are you doing? Get out of the Rain! What if you get burned?" The witch demanded as Mira simply stared, raindrops rolling down her face.

Suddenly the spell began to fade as Mira became unfocused and she cursed as it was pouring. Getting burned she hisses hands wrapping around her shoulders to try and be smaller.

"Mira!" Lilith states running out from the platform and towards the girl. Hunter stays behind watching with a worried expression as Lilith reached her. Light blue magic appeared in a dome over Lilith's head as Mira summoned her own protection spell. Her clothes had some holes in them and there was a slight burn on her face but otherwise she was alright. And if asked?

She'd easily do it again.

As Lilith gets infront of Mira she drapes her cape over Miras shoulders. The girl let's her spell drop since Lilith was covering the both of them and leaned against her mentor out of breath.

"Are you alright?" Lilith questions her manicured hand touching Miras cheek where there was a slight burn. Much to the raveonettes surprise the girl begins to laugh. She simply nods, still laughing as a gaint smile covered her face. Pulling the cape tight over Miras shoulders Lilith ushered her inside to get warm and dry. Hunter crowded her the second she was past the roof covering and the covenheads groaned having missed the end to her little show. Getting up they began to wander towards where they saw Lilith and Hunter enter the castle with her. They wanted to check on their apprentice.

Philip chuckled from his balcony on the castle where he'd been watching before retreating like the others once Mira was out of sight. Collectors shadow followed him curiously having also seen the girl dance. Looking at his plan the Emperor hummed as his thoughts wandered to Mira. She had always been a witch of many talents. And secrets.

"We used to dance like that…" Collector says softly as he glances outside. Seeing she was gone he frowned holding his knees to his chest as he remembered past lives from long ago. His sister Majesticas and how she always played with him. Philip hummed, nodding as if he cared before he began to walk towards the door.

"I'm sure you did." He states before closing the door locking Collector away. He had more important things to do and he had some questions for his star pupil.

Huh do you guys remember the book tuck everlasting? How the main girl Winnie was a fat ten year old with an immortal love interest who was "17" but actually like 100 n something and the whole thing with him was he wanted her to drink the everlasting water when she turned 17 so shed be 17 forever and they could get married like that was kinda weird he would.like take her just the two of em and talk up marriage with her and she was like TEN ? They changed it in the movie and made her a skinny fifteen year old but still wow I'm surprised why so many christan parents let that romance book be allowed but like....pride n prejudice was a debate? I don't understand the logic of homeschool mother's AT ALL WHY WAS THAT BOOK ALLOWED BUT WHY WAS I SCREAMED AT FOR CHECKING OUT OLD YELLER AT THE LIBRARY BY A HOMESCHOOL MOTHER IN OUR CO-OP???

#like uh i remember reading that book when i was 11 #and uh it's a lil weird just saying #i remember being really angry they made her skinny in the movie but uh maybe I'm misremembering but i picked it up to read to my siblings #and once again had to 'lose it' because uhhhhhhhhhh what the fuck #im not sure if the author made it intentionally creepy for jessie to be pushing and preparing her for marriage and being alone with her but #uhhhhhh I didn't like him when i was a kid and i sure as fuck am like wow #I'm not sure if the author was trying to make it negative and about grooming because the homeschool moms always acted like it was romantic #they always went awwwww i wish she hadn't wasted that wayer on a frog but like #idk #once again why was that romance ok but pride n prejudice romance not ok for some homeschool moms?????????????#like we did p&p the play in lur drama troup and uhhhh a lot of familys dropped out #i loved it though i played jane it was so good and fun #also there was.like 6 moms in the homeschool co-op that just made my life H E L L #like they literally humiliated and bullied me constantly and over minor things like reading OLD YELLER?????????#like don't get me STARTED on the harry potter lotr and anything that had magic drama #giving Narnia which is like the most Christian homeschooler books got me in trouble with like four of em BECAUSE MAGOC? Eleanor Cavendish - Born in New York as Eleanor Vanderbilt, an American noveau riche, daughter of Cornelius Vanderbilt, one of the first self-made magnate who made a fortune in railroads and shipping. A rather refined, yet quiet lady, her passive nature became her undoing as her mother Frank Armstrong coveted the status that came with the idea of having a nobility title, something constitutionally forbidden in America after the civil war. So, against her daughter's wishes, she promised her to the Baron of Northbourne, Alexander Cavendish, a 59 year old old-school noble that had more poise than funds to keep his state running. Catherine tried to run away with her sweetheart of the time, the son of the Vanderbilt's cook, but the boy was quickly 'dispatched to work at the ferry station' and she was locked in her bedroom against her will until the day of the marriage. Once in England against her own will, married to a man she found disgusting, she met the ever elusive Dio Brando at a party held to celebrate Jonathan's entrance to the university. Survival Tip!

For the love of god if you’re stuck in a desert or something dying of thirst don’t try and conserve your water just drink it when ur thirsty. You can also only last like 3 days without water tho so. pack more water. If you’re going ANYWHERE you can get stranded bring your go-bag and just fill it with water and food and like a sleeping bad and maybe a knife???? And make sure you downloaded some anime on your phone before you left. AND A FLARE!!!! BRING A FLARE!!!

(Gileth Sadras) 29. What kind of activities, interests, and hobbies do they have? What significance and impact do these have in their lives, both positive and negative?

Gileth is a field historian and as such a good chunk of his interests revolve around history, specifically Ayleid "Alltagsgeschichte" (the study of everyday life). He also possesses substantial knowledge of archeology curtesy of the antiquarian's circle in Solitude. Gileth loves his job as it leads him to many different places and, in a more abstract sense, times. It also means he gets to travel a lot, which he enjoys if he gets to spend much time out in nature, and which he hates if he has to stay in cities and deal with the necessary bureaucracy; can't just start digging in someone's backyard.

As mentioned, Gileth loves the outdoors and will gleefully choose a longer route if it leads through an interesting location or breathtaking vista. As such, Gileth possesses a deep appreciation for nature and would never purposely destroy it (He feels bad about every tree he accidentally burnt down). He also avoids eating meat if he's got other options.

However, travelling a lot also has its downsides as it means Gileth rarely has the chance to form lasting bonds with other people. Considering how shy he is, he'd desperately need more chances for someone to come into his life and "friend-adopt" him. As it is, Gileth's lifestyle means he's very lonely by design.

Other than history Gileth has a superficial interest in dwemer technology (he thinks it's cool) and loves to tinker. His creations are purely aesthetic though (think something like those figurines made from nuts and bolts).

He is also a massive bookworm who regularly "borrows" from the Mournhold Mages Guild. His library fees are through the roof by now.

As these are one-person hobbies, it again means Gileth stays away from others. His self-created solitude may be a necessary evil on the one hand, but on the other it's not good for his mental health at all.
