Prompt 249
Danny tilts his head. The masked figure across the roof tilts their head back, a gold similar to Tucker’s eyes shimmering, though he knew it wasn’t him. He lets out a curious chirp, inaudible to the living, and the masked figure stills, as silent as a corpse for several moments before letting out two clicks.
A greeting in turn.
Danny smiles, letting green bleed into his eyes and scurrying over with a croon from his core. I’m here, I’m here, their own core clatters like metal against bone as his responds with the drone of a blackhole. I see you, I see you. I’m HereHereHere.
Yet another twitters in turn, clicking echoing across the city from shadow to shadow until it’s as though the city itself has a heartbeat. Click-click. Click-click. Click-click. I’m here, I’m here, not alone, I’m Here.

i had come across some housewarden ace fanart and i originally hadn't really known what to make of it outside 'hell yeah ace rock that outfit'.
but when i brought it up to my friends, i ended up talking MYSELF into liking the idea wayyy too much.
the way i bought into the idea was that riddle "nominated" ace to be housewarden for his junior year. and by "nominated" i mean, riddle went: 'my last order before my reign as housewarden of dorm heartslabyul comes to an close is that you-- ace trappola-- are to become housewarden in my stead.'
and ace went: "HAH???"
in book 1 he wanted to be housewarden entirely out of spite, but i feel like after that blew over he wouldn't have wanted to touch the title with a ten foot pole. that's so much work.
so when junior year comes along, people figured he'd just ignore the order-- himself included. but when someone challenges him for the title, ace finds himself unable and very much unwilling to hand it over.
riddle drove him up the wall, but ace respects him as his former housewarden, riddle as a person, and as a respectable mage. if riddle said the next housewarden was gonna be him, it's gonna be him.

drank too much
[ID: Digital Art of Vash and Wolfwood from Trigun Maximum. Vash’s body is turned slightly away from the viewer as he holds a staggering Wolfwood by his shoulder. He has one foot ahead of the other, the foot in the back used to stabilize himself from tipping over. Wolfwood is tethering into Vash, his weight pressed into him with his arms wrapped around Vash’s waist and his face is hidden away as he leans against Vash’s shoulder. Vash’s expression can be seen, his eyes wide and mouth tight-lipped, and his face is flushed red. A speech bubble comes out from Wolfwood, saying a drawled “Spikeyyy...”. The background are desaturated pastels of blue and green, showing night time, as they stand in the middle of an empty street that is also lit by the moon not depicted. Yellow light is seen coming from the inside of a saloon. End ID]

enough sad soukoku angst. give me SILLY soukoku angst. give me 16 year old dazai dragging tired older brother odasaku on a "very important mission given to him by the boss" and it's just dazai watching chuuya on a date (oooooh) with comically oversized binoculars. the date goes horribly wrong, no dazai meddling required, and dazai feels nothing but successful. odasaku leaves halfway through, knowing he cannot stop this but not wanting to enable dazai.
give me sitcom levels of bullshitery skk or give me death.

Michael Sheen really said let me show you the tenderness with which I worship David Tennant's entire body and soul by using middle-aged actors as avatars of us in my directorial debut and oh by the way David's wife Georgia is also in the scene because she likes to watch. Cut, print, moving on...

had a human au thought of Barnaby and Wally. idk doing their taxes or going through bills together since they share a house & Barnaby going "hey we could get married for tax benefits and health insurance. wait no what if i want to marry Howdy someday? it's illegal to be married to two people." Wally goes "we could get divorced" and Barnaby gets legitimately sad like:

i thought it was a fandom headcanon that buck is bi, but no, i'm at episode 3x12 in my first time watching and the opening scene is literally maddie, chimney, buck and josh playing poker. they joke about setting up buck and josh, with maddie being adamant about the fact that she's not setting the two up because she knows they wouldn't click ("oh no, i like you way too much to set you up with my brother. (...) and i love you too much to let you keep being so incredibly, tragically single.") at no point does buck object to being set up with a man, he's only complaining about how hard dating is.
what i'm saying is, buddie season 7 canon?

I kinda wonder what Vil's reaction would be catching the Ramshackle prefect sleeping in bed with his Vice Warden. Mans would give MC the most judging and weary look. After that he accuses MC of stealing Pomefiore's vice, and lectures them about how inconsiderate that is.
Ehhh, my guess is that he probably would be disgusted and can and will lecture them both, like, uh uh, not on his watch! And yes, Vil does give the prefect the most judgemental look.
Vill will separate you both while your currently embarrassed and Rook just laughs it off. Vil might accuse you for stealing his Vice Warden and that what you guys are currently doing is inconsiderate! He will not tolerate this kind of behavior in the Pomefiore dorm!
After that incident, Vil would most likely keep an eye on you both after that, but does that stop you guys? Nah, of course not.
It looks like Vil will just have to deal with it!~

Luffy and Garp after Marineford, Egghead
Minor, very vague spoilers for Egghead
I have been pretty vocal in the past about my simultaneous fascination with/visceral hatred of Monkey D. Garp but I spend a lot of time wondering about how Luffy feels toward him nowadays. How he must feel knowing that his grandfather had a hundred different opportunities to defect, to resist, to try and intervene in some capacity to save his brother, and Garp didn't do shit until it was much, much too late aside from acquiesce after mild resistance and feel sorry for himself. That complete strangers and former enemies cared more for him, were willing to risk so much more to help him, than his flesh and blood, the man who "raised" him and his brother, the man who claimed in some fucked up neglectful capacity to love and want the best for them. Just sitting there on the goddamn platform watching things unfold, stewing in a misery he made for himself and a conflict of love and duty that shouldn't be a conflict at all, unable to do a thing for these wonderful, kind, innocent goddamn children, these beautiful kids who bring light to everyone they meet, who he took in and vowed to protect, out of some disgusting misguided sense of duty to a fascist military. That this horrendous thing that killed his brother and ruined the lives of multiple people he loves meant more to Garp than either of his grandchildren ever did.
I wonder how Luffy's going to feel knowing that if/when he hears about Garp was willing to do to save Coby in Egghead. I can't imagine he'll ever want to see Garp again, or be able to forgive him, but Luffy knowing that his Grandfather would risk so much more for his friend than either of them when they needed him, when one of them was dying–even though he'd likely never hold it against Coby–is such a horrible thing to imagine
