would you guys still loved me if i told you i kind of liked season 15.
#iasip#yes it dragged a lot at points but there were so many genuinely funny moments#and seeing charlie get to have more emotional and heavy scenes was so good#i think i’m biased because them being so restricted by covid automatically makes me feel kind of bad for them#cus i know the ireland arc was gonna be more fleshed out#and i would have liked to see an episode where we see what happens between the car ride home and shelly being. well#also i loved the banter. i feel like the characters got to banter more#and i liked it

to be honest wonder egg and to your eternity kind of have the same issue of “throwing too much unnecessary contrived bullshit in the story to spice things up that actually ends up detracting from what made the concept good to begin with”

let's talk: canon events! how'd you get into the dream team? what brought you to dtblr?
OH MAN! well! i had a friend who was involved somewhat in dtblr and i knew distantly that she was into dsmp stuff but despite having many friends who were obsessed in the height of it it never really tickled my fancy. but then this friend was posting pictures of george on twitter (i'll attach the one that got me at the end) and i was like. oh boy. who is THAT. because he is PRETTY. and she spammed me with pictures of him until i agreed to read heat waves! she also sent me tommy's trampoline vlog.
after reading heat waves i realized i didn't know what dream's voice actually sounded like (i pictured him the whole time sounding like the guy from glass animals LMAO) so i looked for a video with him in it to watch, and landed on minecraft but my friend is a bee.
which was. a lot. THAT was the first of dream's voice i heard. EVER.
after that i spent a couple months as a g.eorgebur main but i LOVED dream and i couldnt figure out why everyone seemed to hate him so much and tbh i still don't know
as for dtblr i have been on tumblr for. oh god 4 days from now is my 12th anniversary. that's horrifying. that's nearly half my life. but i made this sideblog in january of 2022 and i have been here since!
#also like five days after finishing heat waves i got covid so i had to kill time inside for two weeks#and what better to do than fall into a very consuming hyperfixation#during that time i watched a lot of g.eoguessr content and wilbur content#that was also when the f.naf stream was!! which was the first time i ever saw dream live#i got very lucky tho i ended up with a group of wonderful friends who are so so special to me#and that original friend turned out to be not only insane but a vicious d.ranti who blocked me on everything#once she found out that i wasn't moving past the dream as my favorite arc#wild truly#sorry if this is so super long i tried to make it as short as i could

dennis & dee in the gang’s still in ireland are iconic for so many reasons like this is back to their horrible trash siblings roots
-dee gets to be a menace & take glee in doing all the talking when dennis is trying not to cough in front of the realtor which is such a refreshing delight when so much of the later seasons give her the Meg griffin treatment
-dennis loves the dilapidated castle & it’s dark history god he’s such a weird girl I love him he’s so me
-their bickering is actually funny & feels like real sibling banter again like the early seasons
-the shining references & dennis talking to the castle are genuinely hilarious
-it’s a small thing but I love that these bitches literally rent a whole ass castle & still opt to sleep in the same room & I love dee worrying about dennis & wanting to get him to a hospital even as she’s mean to him they’re such real siblings again here it’s like all the stupid parts of the later seasons didn’t happen <3
-I love everything about the Dennis has Covid arc. all of the 2020 jokes in season 15 are actually really surprisingly funny
in conclusion: I love the Ireland episodes I love season 15 it’s like the show did such s 180 & went from going downhill to uphill which is so unusual & I really hope the trend continues in season 16 especially with the trash twins & their dynamic since that’s obviously objectively the most important part of the show <3

book recs: feb 2024
(disclaimer: I have spent nearly three months languishing and sullen with post-COVID symptoms and have read, over dec-feb, eighty-one books. this is a ruthlessly streamlined list of recs that does not include, uh, all the rereading of sarah maclean and charlie adhara and georgette heyer books.)
AT FIRST SPITE by olivia dade - what if I moved in next to the man who ruined my engagement to his younger brother, and tried to ruin his life by playing monsterfucking audiobooks really loudly?? a heartfelt and lovely romance that also expertly sets up a great small-town setting for an ongoing series.
THE REFORMATORY by tananarive due - historical horror based on the existence of a real school for boys, clear-eyed and brutal in showing the the effect of racist systems in the 1950s american south. compelling as hell. even if you're not usually into horror, I'd recommend this: the ghost aspect is light-handed and really not as important as the horror of what humans do to other humans.
SOMETHING WILD & WONDERFUL by anita kelly - this is a m/m romance about walking the pacific crest trail which made me see the appeal of very long walks. a miracle! it's gentle and emotional and well put together; the characters really grabbed me.
THE BELL IN THE FOG by lev a.c. rosen - the followup to 'lavender house', and somehow even better?? a historical mystery series featuring a queer private eye in 1950s san francisco who looks into crimes against other queer people. amazing queer history! ACAB! I hope there are fifty more books in this series.
FEAST WHILE YOU CAN* by mikaella clements & onjuli datta - beautiful, greedy, terrifying small-town horror that is also a fucking fantastic, gorgeously written sapphic love story. this one IS for the horror fans. it gave me the absolute creeps but I couldn't put it down.
LADY EVE'S LAST CON* by rebecca fraimow - I described this on bsky as 'if you like Leverage, space opera, old screwball comedies, and dashing sapphics who are at all times spiritually wearing a leather jacket: this one is for you' and I stand by that. huge amounts of fun.
LONG LIVE EVIL* by sarah rees brennan - I will be screaming from here until forever about SRB's first adult fantasy book. if you like the isekai'd-into-a-villain-character setup and want it to be hilarious, genre-savvy and wildly angry and clever, you will roll around in this like a blood-stained mud puddle and then beg for more.
THE LAST HOUR BETWEEN WORLDS* by melissa caruso - really clever and original fantasy about a woman on maternity leave who gets dragged into saving a cocktail party which is falling through increasingly murderous and bizarre dimensions. LISTEN, JUST GO WITH IT. it's a seriously cool adventure.
YOU SHOULD BE SO LUCKY* by cat sebastian - yes, it's another m/m romance about queer history in the mid 20th century, this one between a baseball player and the journalist assigned to write a story about his slump. made me care about baseball. cat is a genius.

Ever since Nezuko conquered the sun, she was required to stay at the Butterfly Mansion for the safety of herself and basically the whole of humanity. On one hand, she got a bit upset since she couldn’t accompany her brother during Hashira training. But on the other hand, she was glad that she could stay with you. You were almost constantly training ever since then due to the prediction of having a huge battle with Muzan soon. On this particular day, you were doing physical training in the garden while Nezuko accompanied you. You often wrapped bandages around your AHEM *coughs* badonkers while you train. But maybe you didn’t tie them well today, because while you were doing weightlifting exercises with boulders, a bit of the bandages started to come off, exposing slightly more of your AHHHHEM *cough cough* (sorry I caught covid haha) badonkers. That didn’t go unnoticed by Nezuko. She watches as your b-b-b-b-boobs heaves up and down as you try to control your breathing, and they managed to pique her curiosity. You and your sharp senses managed to catch her staring at you, causing you to turn around and look and her. Nezuko immediately turned her head away. You put down the boulders. “Nezuko what were you looking at? Were you staring at my chest?” You tilted your head slightly and chuckled. Nezuko knew that she shouldn’t lie but she was too flustered to be honest about it either. “Sorry I was just curious… Besides, they look really nice.” Her voice barely above a whisper. On the training grounds of the Kanroji mansion, you and Mitsuri were sparing with each other for training. You leaped into the air as you dodged the wide-ranged attacks of Mitsuri’s flexible sword. When you tried to rush in and land an attack yourself, you were blocked by her own. You consecutively blocked each other’s attacks at extreme speed. You noticed how your reflexes improved a lot since the last time you spared with Mitsuri and urged yourself to focus and do even better. But as you were concentrating so much, Mitsuri it was actually losing concentration. Her eyes travelled towards your chest, exposed by the semi-buttoned shirt. She started to get lost in her thoughts as she watched your boobs moved along with your attacks. Kyaaaaaah they look so nice! N-no! You have to focus! Though it wasn’t long before Mitsuri gave in to her fetish with your badooonks, and she failed to block your attack in time, causing her to fall over. “Woah! You ok? You had been bedridden for quite a few weeks after getting injured from a mission involving one of the Twelve Kizukis. And now that you were back on your feet, you had to begin you rehabilitation training. On the training grounds of Butterfly Mansion, you began practising your swordsmanship skills on the training dummies, slashing them with your wooden sword while using Total Concentration Breathing, until the dummies broke from the impact. Despite being bedridden for so long, you had improved your skills and had become much stronger than before, Shinobu could tell that. From her spot on the engawa of the Butterfly Mansion, she observed you training. She had always admired you, you were always training with extreme concentration, striving to become stronger so that you could save more people. Not to mention, you were also really pretty. Shinobu watched as you continuously slashed the training dummies, until she caught sight of your chest. They way they move along with your arm movements mesmerise her. “Oh! Kocho-sama I didn’t realise that you were watching me! Am I doing alright?” Hearing her name getting called from you snapped her out of her thoughts. “You’re doing great, keep it up alright? I’m… just here to make sure you don’t hurt yourself again.” You smiled widely at her before returning to your training. Even though she said she was making sure you don’t get hurt, but you already knew the actual reason why she was here.
Tamayo
Tamayo sat at her desk, scribbling notes about her recent demon blood research. You, on the other side of room, were doing exercises. Every once in a while, she would pause her research and watch you work out with her cheek on her hand. You look so captivating when you work out that it sometimes distracts her from doing research. The way sweat beads trace down your forehead and cheeks. And the way you try to catch your breath. She doesn’t show it, but she secretly enjoys watching you work out a lot. You leaned against the wall to catch your breath while fanning yourself. Even with the windows open, you’re still struggling to cool down, so you reached up to your shirt and unbuttoned the first few buttons of your shirt, revealing a bit of your cleavage. Tamayo’s purple eyes widened at the sight of it. Getting lost at the sight of it rising up and down as you breathe. Your sharp senses noticed Tamayo’s gaze which led you to turn your head to face her. Her eyes widened and she immediately turned back to the research paper on her desk. “Sorry… they just look nice…” In a voice barely above a whisper, Tamayo admitted without facing you. You lightly chuckled in response. “That’s all good! But hey, that research is important. It’s for that one red haired boy, right? You should get the majority of it done first. Afterwards, you can stare at ‘them’ for however long you like.”

Daki
At the base of the Infinity Castle, you decided to spar with Gyutaro for fun. As you two exchanged Blood Demon Art attacks, Daki sat on the sidelines observing the playful battle between her brother and her beloved. You leaped from platform to platform to dodge Gyutaro’s attacks. But when you land on the floor, the hem of your yukata began to slip and expose your cleavage slightly. Daki noticed almost immediately and fixed her eyes on your badonks. You landed a final blow towards Gyutaro, causing him to fall backwards. “That was fun. Though it seems like your skills had been a bit off lately.” You spoke lightly with a hand on your hip. “Is that so? Then I think I need to do more training with you.” The black-and-green haired demon responded as he got up and went to grab something to drink. You turned to Daki and found her sitting at the very edge of the stairs, head forward and eyes focusing somewhere on you. You followed her gaze towards your yukata. Oh. “Daki, were you staring at my chest?” Your voice made her snap out of her daydream. “WHAT?! No I’m not! I was just... making sure you don’t get hurt! That’s all…” You lifted one of your eyebrows. “Sure… sure…” “AAAAAA YOU’RE SO ANNOYING! IF YOU GET HURT NEXT TIME, DON’T COME TO ME CRYING!” And with that, Daki stormed off. Heh, she’s such a simp.

Um, Joy, hi. I hesitate to ask, but what is a Phangs arc request and why are you getting so many that you can make them a pile out of 700+ emails??? Do you want, like, a banner or something that says "can't answer these!" because I know how to make one.
Phangs arc requests are when I give copies out in exchange for reviews or from the “donate” pile people regularly contribute to via my Payhip.
And lol, thank you. I appreciate that. I’m spending today and tomorrow looking at my workflow and setting up tighter filters on my email to hopefully catch more things.
The arcs are honestly fine. It's the people deliberately censoring words to get around my autofilters that are the biggest problem.
The abuse I just kind of eyeroll at. It’s really quite ridiculous seeing someone tell you to “un@l!ve” yourself or calling me a “m*nchi3”. But it really wears me down when it’s people doing it with health queries.
Some people really don’t like getting my generic “here are some MCAS resources” email and go out of their way to make sure they get my individual attention, even though what they’re asking is answered in the links I provide.
I’m sure it pisses them off no end when I reply to their c3ns0red emails with the same copy-paste response they just got, but hey, if you’re not going to read the things I put time and energy into curating and then send your email again with keywords filtered so my autoresponder can’t catch it, I don’t much care. I feel bad for you, but I will guard my limited time and energy. (and going forward anyone doing that will just get blocked)
Also, most of the time I’m not qualified to do what they want. I can’t diagnose anyone or tell them what meds to take. I’m just a sick bitch sharing the resources I spent literal years curating to try and make things easier for others.
(covid absolutely made this 100% worse. I’ve got so many people reaching out because unlike a few other well known MCAS bloggers I don’t charge for my time or push supplements via my website. I’ll tell you what supplements I use, but I don’t profit from it. Legally, I can’t, but it also just feels a bit morally icky.)
Hopefully when I get around to my website update, having just a page I can easily curate and update as new studies come out will help with this.
And to those who send me apologetic emails saying they tried to find things on Tumblr but the search engine wasn’t working: it's cool. Tumblr doesn’t show me half of my MCAS info posts at this point.
