Astro observations : "I GOT IT FROM MY DADDY" (AND MOMMY) edition
yk that one "DADDY" song by PSY sksksk
๐Ÿชท Venus in 4th house is an indicater of person being very beautiful and blessed with good looking genetics. They can also be conventionally attractive since 4th house also rules homeland, so they may be deemed as attractive where they live. A genetically blessed placement.
๐Ÿชท Jupiter in the 4th house is also an indicator for having a feature that may be "large" that runs through the family. Like being voluptuous or tall. Again a "genetically blessed" placement.
Tumblr media
๐Ÿชท Sun/Jupiter in the 10th house individuals can learn a lot of stuff related to careers and build connections through their father.
๐Ÿชท Moon/Saturn in the second house may have some distinct facial features which resemble their parents. As both are considered planets that rule over parents and the second house rules over face.
Tumblr media
๐Ÿ”ด (TW: Generational Trauma) โฌ
(also the observation and remedies which I've mentioned are purely based on generalization, if you may be dealing with it on a serious note then consulting a medical/health care professional is what is required๐Ÿ’š)
๐Ÿชท Those who have Mars/Chiron/Saturn/Pluto in the 4th house/cancer/conj Moon may beat themselves up for a certain "flaw" which they consider themselves to have. This habit or problem may make them feel powerless. As if they are unable to change it. However, in actuality that "problem" didn't start with them but may be a generational thing/a characteristic which got inherited from a family member. [Our genetics play a major role in general with the way we are today (yes even personality-wise). But one can change it by will and if they indulge in self-improvement techniques like meditation, visualization, journaling with clear intentions, and other mindful activities]
๐Ÿ“š (PS. as a book enthusiast to others who are into reading self help books I'd recommend those who are dealing with such problems to read the book "It Didn't Start with You: How Inherited Family Trauma Shapes Who We Are and How to End the Cycle" by Mark Wolynn ๐Ÿ˜ƒ)
(TW: mommy issues) moon conj Pluto placement and being notorious with mommy issues.
However, in my case, I have this placement and I don't feel it to be like that. My relationship with my mom is a very typical one. We have different views on certain stuff but we aren't toxic. Nonetheless, what I consider really to be toxic is my mom's side of the family and her childhood had also not been the best. So this placement actually may be something regarding the fact that your mum had to go through a lot and if you know that fact then it is easy to forgive her and give her a tight hug whenever you can.
This placement can also be an indicator of the child's mom going through a stressful phase during the time of the birth.
Tumblr media
๐ŸŸข TW over, ok enough with sad stuff now ๐Ÿคง
๐Ÿชท It is an observation but I've noticed Sagittarius, Pisces, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Leo placements folks may resemble their father's looks and personality-wise distinctively. Like there's that one feature that they may also be known for like,ย "you have a smile like your dad".ย It may be due to them being ruled by Jupiter, Saturn, and sun respectively, the celestial bodies which deal with "fatherly figures" in astrology.
๐Ÿชท Leo, Cancer, Aries, Gemini and Capricorn placements ๐Ÿค acting all wholesome and cute when their mom is around.
Tumblr media
๐Ÿชท If you and your sibling both have prominent mercury placements then you might hear someone saying this at some point "oh YoU BOth LoOk likE eACh otHer a Lot" and y'all will be like "b*tch no, from which angle, I am obviously more gorgeous ๐Ÿ˜ค"ย
๐ŸชทYou know being a Sagittarius ๐ŸŽ(also honorable mention Aquarius and Pisces) this proverb literally go with us for our parentsย 'You can lead a horse ๐ŸŽ to water but you can't make him drinkย '
๐Ÿ“š[ PS. ย if the horse is willing then only it'll drink, you can't drink water on its behalf. (That's the universal truth with life btw, you are responsible for your own tasks. Others can only guide you but in the end, it's you who will have to act, innit)]
Even though it is for our own "good" and "wellbeing" that our parents do and force these placements to be doing things in a certain way these placements will only "keepย drink up to it" if it gives them a feeling of expansion and freedom. (That's why Sagittarius and Pisces placements are deemed to be "irresponsible" but that's not the case. And Aquarius placements have a reputation to be "rebellious" but that's unlikely. These placements most of the time may think ahead of their time and may have a bigger picture on things that's why they may consider certain tasks to be irrelevant (however it can also backfire and this certainly doesn't mean to be an excuse to run away))
Tumblr media
๐Ÿชท Virgo and Libra placements tend to have good mannerisms which may be taught by their parents. They are big on punctuality. Also, they are well-behaved and sweet people. Often being talked about asย "their parents raised them well".ย
Virgo is associated with the 6th house which is also the house that rules over service so they tend to be helpful. Libra on the other hand is associated with the 7th house which is the house of partnerships, that's why they like to treat people with kindness and have a pleasing appeal. Like a comrade. (Although this also has a shadow aspect to it, this can make these placements to be perfectionists in unhealthy amounts and they may start to have people-pleasing tendencies. They may also grow pessimistic since many people may view their kindness to be their weakness, which is not true at all you guys, y'all are great and don't fall into what those low vibrational people have to say.)
It's 11:11 while I type this ๐Ÿ’ซ also, umaru chan is so adorable

How might one get into "reading for a living" because that's a dream job
it is not a dream job, its called publishing and i make less than 40k a year LOL.
to be less arch, im an editor, and i work in editorial which is the 'flashy' department (lmao), but it's a pretty stressful job. obviously it's one i enjoy because no one would stay in the industry unless they got some reward for it. but still. i say 'reading books' is my job but thats probably only like 40% of it. a lot of my day to day work involves nagging people for deadlines, having meetings abt whether XYZ feature will cost extra, researching marketing trends, etc. YMMV if you work as a book designer or some other dept, i know they have different rules. this isnt to bitch but i think publishing has REALLY good PR among english majors and these are things i wish someone had told me before i sunk money into a publishing degree. BTW: dont get a publishing degree. experience > MA in publishing
so like, i cant in good conscience recommend the industry -- its sort of like going to grad school except with worse pay (the phd candidate gets a stipend; the unpaid intern does not.) but if you already have prion disease and you want to go into publishing, heres what i got
publishing advice below:
first things first, you need book experience. you can get this through the obvious ways (working on ur college lit mag, unpaid internships, copyediting freelance work) but i feel like that prob goes without saying. so what ill say is: if none of those options work, you could always work at a bookstore. lots of the editors i work with actually got their start by saying in the interview, "i worked at barnes and noble and noticed that [category] sells well. i love noticing which books resonate with people" or what have you
i will say that i work in nonfiction publishing, which has some differences from like, editing queer YA fiction. one of those jobs is more competitive than the other. and the industry standards are pretty toxic (if your author misses his deadline and sends the manuscript at 6pm, tough shit, you have to work late to make sure the book doesn't miss its pub date. if you're not thinking about all your books constantly, you must not really care. etc.)
that said one of the best things i can recommend is looking into publishing jobs in different departments. most people are competing for editorial department jobs (things like acquiring and signing books, and being the main point of contact for an author.) but if your passion mostly lies in editing or making things pristine, managing editorial departments often hire production editors who still read through all the books, but their day to day work is more like proofreading, checking barcodes, and other printing related tasks.
theres also finance. finance publishing jobs are never anyones first choice, but on the plus side, you wont have to tell the author why his advance is late. thats the acquiring editor's job. and also lots of people pivot to editorial after they have some years doing finance, design, production, etc.
i will say there are way more remote publishing jobs now than ever. theyre all super competitive but you should apply anyway. if youre entry level, look for "editorial assistant" type roles. some of these actually pay really well: to give an example, harvard hires copyeditors and editorial assistants at a rate which is more than my yearly salary. i mean, its harvard. you gotta look around. but there are more options besides the big 5 publishers. academic publishing is its own field! work at your favorite journal/database! work at JSTOR or wiley!
i dont think theres anything else i would add, other than just random shit talking abt industry standards and quirks of the industry. i dont want to sound whiny because i realize im lucky to be working in my field -- but, i think people oversell publishing as one of "the only career options for english majors."
to be totally honest, most people could make double or triple my salary from being a project manager or corporate editor. so if you enjoy reading and editing, there are better options to you than trade publishing. if you enjoy the act of connecting with authors and making their vision a reality, you might enjoy publishing. or you might not. idk!

Hi! This is a bit random, but Iโ€™m always really interested by your Finnish posts, and was wondering if you have any recommendations for learning more about your country?
Any stories/bits of art or music that are particularly special?
No need to answer this if itโ€™s intrusive or anything, of course!
Hello! Let me see... This post gets quite long, so I'll put my recommendations under a readmore! To be honest, most of them are just random Finnish stuff, not necessarily specifically oriented to teach anything about Finland, but it's something.
Any other Finns can reblog and add stuff if you've got better recommendations than I have, btw!
Music-wise I suppose it depends on what kind of music you like - if you're into metal music, there's a lot of Finnish metal bands and I think some of them even sing in Finnish, but it's not a genre I personally listen to a lot. What I myself listen to is frankly a mess that doesn't make any sense, but here's a couple relatively well-known Finnish songs that I personally occasionally listen to (the method of choosing was random "whatever comes to mind first"):
Autiotalo by Dingo
Rakkaus on lumivalkoinen by Yรถ
As for stories - I have to admit I read shamefully little Finnish literature. One thing that comes to mind, however, is Maria Turtschaninoff's Red Abbey Chronicles fantasy series! I heard of them from a friend and read them some years back, and personally I really liked them. I don't know that they'll tell you particularly much about Finland as a country, but I like them as books. And Moomins, of course - I haven't read the books since I was a child, and I've never seen the entirety of the 90s anime adaptation because we didn't have a tv when I was a kid, but they're lovely stories, and if they don't tell you about Finland as a country as such, they're still a big part of Finnish culture.
I suppose I could also point you towards some classics of Finnish literature (Seven Brothers by Aleksis Kivi, The Unknown Soldier by Vรคinรถ Linna, that sort of thing) but I also don't read a lot of classics, and I try to keep to a rule of never recommend books I haven't read and/or don't like personally, so I can't actually recommend them as such, all I can state is that they are classics of Finnish literature that exist and are set in Finland (of the two I mentioned, Seven Brothers is set in the 19th century in rural Finland, it's fairly comedic in tone, and generally held to be the first novel actually written in Finnish, while The Unknown Soldier follows a machine gun company throughout the Continuation War; so in terms of that, expect a number of violent deaths and all of that) and I'm relatively certain there are English translations of them (though whether those are easily available anywhere, that I cannot say)
Speaking of classics, there's Kalevala. You should be able to find one or two different English translations of it in Project Gutenberg. Now, with Kalevala there's a whole can of worms regarding cultural appropriation of Karelian culture and stories that I do not understand thoroughly enough to explain it properly, but I don't think there's any argument that it shaped the Finnish culture and national identity when that was still in the process of being created in the 19th century.
As for artwork, I don't have a lot of specific ones in mind, but you could take a look at the Finnish National Gallery's website and see what stuff there speaks to you!
You can also search for specific artist's works on the website, so here's for example pictures of the works of Akseli Gallen-Kallela, Hugo Simberg, Albert Edelfelt, and Eero Jรคrnefelt, to name a few of our famous painters (note: i haven't refined those searches beyond selecting for a given artist, which means the search result includes a lot of sketches and stuff, but if you like, you can further refine the search to only show you paintings, for example).
Personally, I quite like the bunch of Hugo Simberg's paintings that portray Death (as in death as a character, pretty much the black-robed skeleton type). The most famous of those, I think, is this one, the Garden of Death:

MY FAVOURITE LESBIAN
sorry my fellow broskis but as ๐Ÿ‘พ said JANE IS FOR THE LADIES ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ (thatโ€™s okay Iโ€™ll stick to my babygirl ej..)
okay Iโ€™ve said it once and Iโ€™ll say it again. She listens to Lana del rey/ray (Lana stans donโ€™t come for me I have no idea how to spell it Iโ€™m sorry)
I think she also listens to ac/dc, trentemรธller (whoโ€™s amazing btw, totally recommend)
Sheโ€™s a misandrist. Thereโ€™s no other options. Sorry guys but itโ€™s canon (cause I said so) BUT sheโ€™s not like- serious about it. As in she doesnโ€™t really talk about the patriarchy and her political viewpoints (unless someoneโ€™s coming at her) she just says โ€œyeah I hate men lmfao.โ€
(Iโ€™m aware that misandry isnโ€™t just โ€œI hate menโ€ she just says that to piss Jeff off ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€)
Sheโ€™s a girls girl too Im sry I donโ€™t make the rules ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿคท
I See her being a goth gal
She goes all out with the accessories, makeup, hair, outfits
She owns demonias and she will fucking stomp you with them (you guys prolly wouldnโ€™t mind that though WOULD YOU ๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿคจ)
She drinks tea. No context. She drinks tea.
She also reads Donna tartt books, she especially loves the secret history imo
In my au which is the slendermansion au, she doesnโ€™t wanna kill Jeff anymore (because she says that he isnโ€™t worth her time) but she still hates him. With every bone in her body.
Now I think of it would get along well with lady dimitrescu.
uhm sheโ€™s dating clockwork shut the fuck up she just issssssssss ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ (Iโ€™m gonna stop myself there cause I could write about those two for HOURS.)
Honestly I think she does want kids, she wants to be a mother, but she knows her situation isnโ€™t safe for a child and she doesnโ€™t want to traumatise them. She also doesnโ€™t want them to grow up around people like Jeff.
since she canโ€™t have kids, she gets along with Sally super well. She may Aswell be Sallys mother.
Her and ej get along super well- ej is calm, collected and quiet and usually stays to himself, and she finds that very calming. She can usually be found in the medical wing having confusingly intellectual conversations with ej.
I Imagine her to sound like the school counsellor from yandere simulator. One sec lemme get clip
youtube
If you didnโ€™t know, thatโ€™s the yansim school counsellor ^v^
Donโ€™t try and tell me she doesnโ€™t sound like that CAUSE SHE DOES โ€ผ๏ธ
she has hundreds of different lipsticks, all in different shades of red and black
Is actually a very good cook, and expects her partner to be Aswell.
Well she doesnโ€™t really expect her partner to be Gordon Ramsey or anything, but atleast capable of cooking pasta or boiling an egg, yk?? ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ
She wears pearls!!! She is a woman of style!!!!!
smells like really fancy and expensive perfume. No I wonโ€™t argue.
In my hcs, sheโ€™s black and has the most gorgeous and well-kept Afro you have ever seen. As in those curls are GORGEOUS
the only person she allows to touch it is Sally and occasionally clockwork
I think when she was younger she had butterfly locs, but just eventually decided she didnโ€™t like them
Is hygienic as fuck and hates gross people or people who donโ€™t shower a lot, etc
(She has and will beat the shit out of Ben with her demonias because his room is a mess.)
Makes her bed every day!!!! She does the little things!!!
Shhh.. hey.. come here.. yeah, you.. pssst..
She still has a worn down, messy and slightly dirty bunny rabbit toy from her childhood, you know the ones that babies have? Yeah. She has one of those. She keeps it under her pillow because she sobs whenever she sees it, it reminds her of her parents. His name is mr Flop. She wont ever let anyone know about him.
Jeff saw it once, just once, and he was about to steal it and fuck it up, but then he had a moment of realisation and was like โ€œOh. Oh.โ€ And decided against it because as much of an asshole he is, there are lines he knows not to cross.
Sorry guys I love angst!!
Anyways uhm Iโ€™m done because if Iโ€™m not stopped Iโ€™ll rant about her forever.

Buongiorno!! I have been trying to learn a little Italian for the past six months or so, and have been doing so on Duolingo. Itโ€™s okay, but Iโ€™d really like to improve my vocabulary and read more in Italian. So, do you have recommendations for easy books? I thought about looking up translations of English language childrenโ€™s books, but I thought Iโ€™d ask you if you have any childhood favorites or ideas for what I might read to improve my language. Grazie!
Ciao! For as much as I see Duolingo a way to keep yourself engaged in your learning, please be aware it holds many grammar mistakes here and there. So I suggest you to check your infos also on somewhere else.
To answer you, on my other tumblr (@sayitalianohome)'s first post, you can find: -a link to the grammar masterpost with all my posts about grammar rules (and some reblogged ones); ->a link the to resources masterpost where you will find books of different levels (not sure the links are all working cause there are old ones and are too many and I haven't checked them recently), apps, websites, videos, youtubers, articles, stories, audiobooks and children (short) stories too (even international ones with the English text near the Italian text, which could be of help); -loads of vocabularies lists' and words uses' posts (these have their own masterposts on that same tumblr). -you can also take a look at my youtube channel (search for sayitaliano; btw the link is somewhere in the homepage here) cause I think I had uploaded a few videos of me reading Italian Christmas stories last year (with the text) and you can find the translation on this blog too (I think the link is in the description box of each video). I put all the links on @sayitalianohome to make it easier for you to navigate this blog as it seems from the app you cannot navigate on @sayitaliano (but from the computer you can actually: just check the top bar in the homapage)
Sorry if I don't add all the links here but right now I can't, and there are just a few posts on my other blog so I think you'll be able to find all you need by yourself. If not, feel free to ask me again for the links or anything else!
Maybe listening and repeating can be an even more useful job for you, both for improving your pronunciation and your reading skills (some words may hide a tricky pronunciation: maybe a random accent that is not written or another rule. I'd suggest you to listen to Italians speaking too, if you aren't yet) Ciao! :)

I was the person who asked you to tell us random things about yourself. I just checked the post and omg wow, you really seem so cool! I had a bad day but now when I read this it felt so heartwarming and sweet.
Btw I've also read the little prince and I loved it a lottt, you should watch the movie adaptation, it's a little bit different than the book but it's still a pretty good movie tho in my opinion.
And lol I didn't know countries have a rule for the maximum number of adopted cats.
Oh and you said you like ghibli studio movies, what's your favorite one? I've only watched when marnie was there, howl's moving castle and spirited away, and I loved them so much. (I actually thought that marnie and anna are in love with each other but it turned out marnie was her grandma so I was pretty disappointed lmao, but it was my favorite movie between those 3 that I already mentioned before). Do you have any recommendations for me? And also do you watch other anime?
Oh yea I wanna ask you how old are you? I think you're 15, correct me if I'm wrong.
I also wanted to ask you if you could share with us some of ur art, even if you don't think they're good enough, they would be beautiful.
Lastly I wanna say that you really remind me of Francis, a character in Radio Silence, a book by Alice Oseman.
Sorry it's a pretty long message but there is so much to ask lol. And thank you for answering my last anon message<3
TY OMG AH AH AH I AM SO HAPPY
<3 I'm glad I made your day better, cause you made my day 10000000000000ร— better <3
I have watched the movie adaptation, and it is awesome :3
And abt the cat rule ITS SO STUPID OMG I WANT TO HAVE FURRY FRIENDS ๐Ÿ˜ญ
My favourite guibli movie is definitely Totoro or Howls moving castle, and I have seen Ariety too so those are like my best recommendations for you. I saw when Marnie was there too and IT WOULD BE SUCH A GOOD LOVE STORY OMG.
And I watch Komi can't communicate and Kakekuri, even tho I haven't watched them in a while with school and all of that stuff
I'm 14:), but that was rlly close wow
And I do plan on sharing some art actually, I have a poll abt like if ppl want me too and its at like 90 percent positive so I am just waiting for it to end bcs yn formalities and all that!
I READ THAT BOOK OMG I LOVE HER. And yes, I rlly relate to her a lot omg that's very accurate :0
Tysm for doing this. This absolutely makes my day, I love you sm anon my god ty <33333
I rlly hope to one day meet more people like you, or even you idk, I mean, you make me so so happy tysm <33

hi morri, hope you're having a good day! how did you get into dnd? i'm interested by it but my adhd revolts at all the complex info and rules and reading and such. i'm trying to get a feel for it with baldur's gate, is that misguided? lmao i know nothing ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’—
LUSH!! Ask me about my special interest why donโ€™t you? /pos
Iโ€™m gonna start off and say that I have yet to play BG3 so I canโ€™t really make a comparison between that and actual D&D, but from what Iโ€™ve heard the rules are pretty much the same, itโ€™s just a lot more limited in choices Bc yk, video game. (No game will ever be able to simulate the pure chaos of people playing D&D. I swear to you. People come up with the wildest shit.)
So, Iโ€™ve had an interest in it for YEARS, like, so long. I donโ€™t even remember where it started, I just thought it sounded cool as hell and I wanted to play. But I didnโ€™t *really* get into it until late last year.
I got my introduction by watching Critical Role, and that helped me to the point that the second time I ever played I could help my DM remember rules. (No one believed me that I had only played once before lmao.)
So if you want to get a feel for how it works and the rules, watching people play is a GREAT way to do that! Thereโ€™s some amazing D&D shows out there. Iโ€™ve only watched CR, but I know a lot of people who love Dimension 20 and Iโ€™ve also heard of Not Another DnD Podcast. (If anyone has other suggestions, feel free to comment!)
(Btw, if listening to just audio is impossible for you, like it is for me, both CR and d20 have full videos of their streams on YouTube. Which is both more fun (facial expressions, body language, and all around shenanigans) and also lets you see and understand combat better which is helpful!)
But all in all, the best way to really get a feel for the game is actually play it. (Which is true of anything, really.) I have a discord server for simmers who play D&D, and Iโ€™d be happy to send you the invite if you want! Iโ€™ll gladly answer any questions you have (Iโ€™m not kidding. Iโ€™ve explained just about the entire rule book to my mom and sister by this point, and I enjoyed it.), plus weโ€™re hoping to run a couple one shots this summer!
A one shot is a great way to test out the waters and see if you like it, plus they can be just plain ridiculous, so I highly recommend giving one a shot.
Okay, thatโ€™s it. I swear. Iโ€™m so sorry for rambling at you for 200+ words. But yeah, feel free to DM me on here or on discord if you have questions and/or want an invite to the server. (That goes for anyone btw!) I hope you enjoy your foray into D&D!

Note: I've linked StoryGraph summaries of every book to each title.
Glory and the Master of Shadows by Grace Callaway: This is my third consecutive month of screaming about Grace (0 shame btw). First and foremost, I deeply appreciated this book for touching on the Opium Wars and the atrocities wreaked on China by Britain, and how the government was complicit.
Wei is one of those uber-competent heroes who isn't outwardly a mess (like many a Grace hero lol). Like, in one night, he saves Glory from falling off a drain pipe, goes down on her (which... her mom may or may not have unwittingly overheard but tbh Maggie does not have a leg to stand on), and fixes the drain pipe before leaving. Truly a prince among men. That being said, his trauma runs deep to the point where his life is solely focused on revenge, which is why Glory is such a shock to his system. Wei and Glory's dynamic is just adorable: A heavy dash of teacher/student, along with a really deep shared understanding between them about what makes the other tick, and not just because of commonalities in cultural background. Like, Wei appreciates Glory for the very qualities that make her a bit of an awkward turtle in society.
Plus, it's always fun to read about previous Grace heroes and heroines. The Charlie's Angels gals' friendship is going strong, even if Glory initially feels a little off about being the only unmarried one in their group. Fiona does the modern equivalent of giving Glory a slutty makeover to seduce her crush. Rhys (the heroine's formerly slutty dad) is now a Serious Politician who is sponsoring an anti-opium bill. Hawk apparently has sympathy pains during Fiona's pregnancy. Gavin Hunt is so excited about possibly having a grandson named after him he makes the kid engraved jewelry before they're born. I love this gang.
Caitlin Crews
I wanted to get into some of my Harlequin recs this month, but when I made a list, I realized maybe one author a month would be better. So let's talk about Caitlin Crews. What I love about her writing style is that she's not afraid to make you dislike both the heroes and heroines a little (or a lot). It's easy to write a hero who is The Worst but then you eventually come around to him, but a winning formula is writing a hero who scares you a little and pisses you off a lot, and then a heroine who annoys you almost equally. But in a good way, for both. The dialogue is also always, always on point.
The sex Caitlin writes feels... borderline transcendent? Like you read that shit and think "this is not attainable" and then happily go back to reading more. Here are some of her books I'd rec:
The Viking's Runaway Concubine
The only Harlequin Historical I'll recommend, and only because I was terrified for most of it during my first read. Terrified but enthralled. It's set in Viking-ruled Britain in a time where slavery was practiced. There's an M/s dynamic to Ulfric and Eithine's relationship except, Ethine is Ulfric's literal slave as well. Do we see where the lines of consent are blurred?
But here's the thing: The sex is hot. It's very hot. Ulfric is obsessed with finding Ethine after she ran away from him, and her punishment for her "transgressions" once she's found is written brilliantly. He's also, in general, obsessed with her. He's all "you might as well have stabbed me in the HEART instead of slashing my face when you left meeee". On top of that, Ethine's whole inner conflict is that she *shouldn't* find pleasure in the pain he gives her, so she tries to convince herself she's being forced to take it. There's a looooot of conversations between Ulfric and Ethine about consent and gender roles so the book actually keeps you on your toes on like, an intellectual level lol.
Claimed in the Italian's Castle
A modern retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Angelina is practically sold off by her weirdly feudal family to the "Butcher of Castello Nero", Benedetto Franceschi, a man whose past 6 wives have all died under mysterious circumstances. Regardless, he gets Angelina off at her piano several dozen times so she does what any smart gal should do and agrees to marry him. By the time we hit the climax (the emotional climax; not the sexual one) I remembered why I loved this book, namely, how a so-called boogeyman (he's so self-loathing that he looooves thinking of himself as a boogeyman) is reduced to a sopping wet pathetic mess on his knees. There's a winner right there.
Just One More Night
The last 3 books are Harlequin Dare books, which have sadly stopped being published, but here are my favorites:
Speaking of heroines that irritate me, let's talk about Indiana 'Indy' March: She's a free spirit (but in a self-sustainable way) who does what she wants, walks away when things get too intense, and says shit like "Ambition is for people who don't like what they have. But I do", causing my poor little capitalist heart to go "nooooooo".
Anyway, it's interesting because for a woman who doesn't like being tied down, she voluntarily goes to meet a man she accidentally walked in on like, assassinating people in a random alleyway in Budapest and then IMMEDIATELY proceeded to have sex with said man, Stefan (and when she says they didn't use a condom, he says the seminal masterpiece of a line "you American girls are always on the pill"). And now, two years later, she's back to meet him at a time and place designated by him, and it goes from there. He does, at some point refer to her pussy as "one of the great wonders of the world". Out loud.
Teach Me
This one has your classic Caitlin bratty heroineโ€” Erikaโ€” who gatecrashes a sex club to try and hook up with her brother's best friend Dorian (yes, bear with meโ€” his name is the least hottest thing about him). This man tries to scare her away by delivering a spanking but like, she's obviously very into it. He then proceeds to dom her into being less self-sabotage-y and coaches her through her mommy issues, which I thought was cool of him. Would recommend.
The Risk
The stripper-ballerina book. Literally. She's a ballerina who wants to let loose so she gets into an exclusive club to do a burlesque routine, and then a man buys her (time) for the night for anonymous sex. Not a lot going on tbh, just really well-written, evocative stuff. Like at some point during sex, she's wearing the wings from her routine and nothing else which I thought was hella cool.

Seeing as you seem to be the expert and legal mother of Guido Cavalcanti, I'd like to know what sources you'd recommend for researching him. I'd really like to look more into his works and history but kinda have no idea where to start.
Yes, hello, I'm glad to answer you in the role of his legal mother and I'm happy you want to get to know this beautiful poet!
So, it really depends on which language(s) you can read
If you know italian: you're in luck! because (obvioulsy) most of the important papers are in italian and they're the ones I know best.
I think that the best way is to start simple: read his Wikipedia page, just to get a veery basic understanding of him and kinda get a feel of the subject. Buy the book of his complete poems and get acquainted with his writing and the thoughts/interpretations of the curator (I would suggest the BUR version or the one curated by Domenico De Robertis. Ideally, I'd get both), have fun developing deranged thoughts and let him speak to you! This should be a pleasure, not a task :)
Online there are also lots of papers freely available, so if a particular topic or detail intrests you, google it and you'll probably find something; particularly there's an app called Academia, which offers many documents for free, here, for example, are a few:
L'incredulitร  di Cavcanti
La Vita Nuova e le Rime. Sul rapporto tra Dante e Guido
Sul Canto X dell'Inferno e Guido
Sulla poetica di Guido
(you don't need to read them right away, these go more in depth on the subjects, so it depends on you)
And on YouTube I recommend a video to understand some basics of what critics suppose is Guido's philosophy (suggestion: fish back your knowledge on Aristoteles, particularly the basic concepts of his "metaphysics" and then his work on the soul):
Su Averroรจ e la filosofia musulmana
Finally, here are some names of authoritative critics who offer interesting points of view:
De Robertis, De Sanctis, Contini, Corti, Barbi, Malato, Ciccuto.
You'll soon realize two things:
1. It's impossible to not talk about Dante and his works to understand Guido, so the number of sources will expand quite a bit!
2. there are lots of diffrent and contradicting interpretations on him so as a general tip: be open! Don't discard an opinion immediately but give it a chance, ponder it! (and I think this is a general rule for any type of study xD).
A little unrelated, but not too much, I recommend the books:
- La moglie di Dante by Marina Marazza. I'm particularly fond of this book because it's what got me into Guido Cavalcanti and it offers two important things: a sense of what life was back then in Florence and a female point of view, particularly from a woman who is often (unfortunately) forgotten in history, Gemma Donati (mind you, there are a few made up details because it's a story, but don't be deceived, it's overall accurate!). However it's not a must, because Guido is a side character.
- Eternal War by Livio Gambarini. It exists both in Italian and English, its a series of four fantasy books on Guido and Dante. It offers you an alternative version of reality if their respective beliefs both concretely existed, and it's amazing (mind you, this comes from someone who doesn't like fantasy xD)! You can also find lots of references to their literay works, so you can have fun spotting them! Bonus point: the author low key ships them ๐Ÿ‘€ These books too, however, are not a must, so only read them if you find them interesting. ^^
Anyway, I cried a little at the end of both lol so read at your own discretion (actually, the first book made me cry twice).
As for english sources, I'm afraid I'm not informed enough, but from what I've seen I find they're usually less accurate, especially the american ones (perhaps because italian literature is very diffrent from theirs). However I'm not saying there are no good sources. If someone, in fact, knows some feel free to add them! I would also like to read them :)
(Btw, I'm also working on a pdf of Guido's complete poems translated in English + footnotes, if you're interested. The translation will be as close to the original text as possible)
On the other hand, I believe french sources are valid too, so if you know French you can give a look, but I can't point you in any specific direction since I only read a few French papers and that's it (I don't speak French, I only partly understand it because it's similar to italian, and latin also helps me jsksj).
So uhh I hope this is a decent starter pack, thank you for the ask! >3

i find your posts about... uh. physics (idk what further specificity applies. astrophysics? quantum mechanics?) fun to read, and way over my head. like. shit is undeniably compelling even as most of it is pretty much impossible for me to conceptualize (at my present levels of familiarity anyway) or attempt to contextualize within my.. subjective experience of material reality.. i guess. any advice on further educating one's self, for someone in my position of finding this sort of thing cool and interesting as a layman high school dropout beset by dyscalculia and poor visuo-spatial ability? i feel patronized and condescended to by the like... reddit / neil degrasse tyson "science is badass and awesomesauce" pop science attitude, btw. just think itd be nice to have the means to build practical knowledge in a way that is actually Neither erudite to the point of elitism Nor cheesy and annoying. if you happen to have any "tips" or "recs"
thank you! i do have recs. i have a page of book recs on my music portfolio website. that covers several subjects but it may be obvious which ones are about physics
"cosmology" is probably the word you were looking for (i'm looking for a grad school with a focus on that while i'm saving up for it)
arvin ash and sabine hossenfelder have some good youtube videos on the subject if you don't want to jump into a whole book. pbs spacetime is good. sabine also has a couple great books out
i like eugene khutoryansky, his videos sometimes ask a lot of the viewer, but probably nobody else has made 3d animations to unpack the einstein field equations
as a general rule i really like books for a layman audience by nobel physics laureates. these usually don't involve math (in search of the ultimate building blocks by gerard t'hooft, quark and jaguar by murray gell-mann, relativity the book by einstein)
basically anybody who's famous enough that you know they're a physicist has published a good book (stephen hawking, roger penrose, michio kaku)
einstein's dreams by alan lightman is a collection of short fiction about relativity made tangible. really good
structure of scientific revolutions by thomas kuhn is a classic but it confirms something i've been grasping at (focus on the bare observables, theory is an attempt to explain these phenomena)
i don't know if anybody has published a good layman's review of LIGO black hole mergers yet (janna levin?), i've been doing the crash course the hard way and just keeping up with the GCN circulars email list, where they tell all the telescopes in the world to slew in some kind of general direction when they detect something
if you only want to read two books i would recommend warped passages by lisa randall and lost in math by sabine hossenfelder. i think they make an excellent paired set, they're like complementary opposites... warped passages does basically everything that lost in math critiques, but it also contains a gold-standard description of the standard model and the process of modeling

help i turn 21 this weekend,, any advice? idk how ppl behave at bars or like what drinks ppl order, i'm supposed to go out w my friends & they wanna go to all these different bars and i'm nervous. like i've been drinking since i was 15 but idk how to act
hii omg happy early birthday <3 i think there's a few general things to keep in mind but there's no rule book on "how to act" really. first things first - don't go anywhere alone, stick with ur friends even to go to the bathroom. always cover ur drink with ur hand, don't accept drugs from strangers, and dont take men seriously. try to share a taxi home and if there's any part of the journey where you are alone, call a friend until you get back safe. oh and make sure u book ur taxi and don't just get in a random one you see on the street. drink in moderation so you can keep ur wits about you, my friend always gets water periodically to stay hydrated thru the night, helps her hangovers a ton. stay away from any bar fights or anything that looks shady/hostile. you'll probably meet a lot of random ppl and be best friends with them for a moment and then never see them again, that's normal. you might say some things that you cringe at the next day. thatโ€™s normal too and everyone will have forgotten, the alcohol just makes it feelย  severely embarrassing for no reason. just stay in well lit areas with people you know and let yourself have fun. also never leave ur bag or belongings anywhere and bring them with you everywhere -- obviously, i guess lol.
ok other than that i would say you've really got nothing to worry about, though i understand the nervousness and i think it's normal. the anxiousness will definitely be worse than the actual night out btw im soo serious. it's just the build up to the unknown that's freaking you out, and once it's over you'll realize that it was all so much more casual than you were expecting. nobody is looking at you as much as you think they are and everyone is usually too drunk to care much about scrutinizing anyone. theyre all focused on themselves and their own things, their own lives. you'll probably have a lot of fun. it's just like seeing your mates in any other setting but this time ur trying out fun new drinks and listening to club tunes and having a laugh. know that you can cut the night short and go home whenever you want, if for some reason you're not vibing with it - it's ur birthday after all. know that you donโ€™t have to dance, or drink a ton, or do or say anything you donโ€™t want to do or say. and if you're not having a good time, then you're not missing out if you leave, so no worries about fomo. honestly, there's no wrong way to be. just stick with the ppl you trust and try to keep to have a safe, light-hearted night. when i get overwhelmed, the bathrooms and the smoking area are my sanctuaries where i can just breathe, i rly recommend that too. if you end up not liking it at all, then at least you can say you gave it a try and it's just not ur scene. that's fine, too. hope you have the best night ok!! โค๏ธ stay safe!! โค๏ธ
* on what drinks to order - itโ€™s rly up to personal taste lol my go-to is always a vodka coke but if ur looking for something that tastes nice any fruity cocktail is a safe bet! u could also just get whatever ur friends get if you really donโ€™t know where to start :)

hi, i was wondering if i could have a BoB ship please?
iโ€™m a 5โ€™7 gal with pale skin, blue/grey eyes and dark brown wavy hair just past my shoulders. got cheek dimples. iโ€™m an only child, so comfortable being alone. i wear thick black glasses pretty much 24/7, and have a bunch of random tattoos all over my body.
iโ€™m a very stereotypical INTP/Ravenclaw personality, and a virgo sun/cancer moon. iโ€™m also autistic (albeit usually perceived as lower support needs) and probs undiagnosed adhd. basically iโ€™m a sucker for learning all the time, pretty book smart, detail-oriented and analytical, crippled by anxiety, a bit of a perfectionist, very empathetic, and hypervigilant of everything around. very bad at taking criticism and can be argumentative if i disagree strongly. have lots of acquaintances but only a couple really close friends. my love language is physical touch and giving gifts.
iโ€™ve been in the military since 2019 and i really like my job (except when i have to brief senior officers, big yikes). my hobbies include reading, writing, history, playing video games, film/TV, theatre and travelling. big fan of classic books and crime/mystery TV. if iโ€™m not at work, i can be found hunched over my phone/a book with headphones on and 50 new, random facts to excitedly tell anyone whoโ€™ll listen!
thank you <3 hope youโ€™re having a good week xo
Yes thank you so much for your request hon, btw INTP twins!! weโ€™re a rare breed ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿ’–

Song recommendation: Falling for ya - Grace Phipps
- Okay bestie hear me out now, you guys would match up together so nicely, physically and emotionally, he would be such a good boyfriend to you in so many different ways
- and letโ€™s face it, a ravenclaw and hufflepuff couple is what the world NEEDS right now ๐Ÿ˜ซ
- When he first met you, he would think you are very attractive, he would keep his emotions very lowkey though, like he tried keeping it professional as he can at first, but heโ€™d be lying if there werenโ€™t any moments where he was almost willing to risk it all to be with you
- He would tell you after awhile, to him it would feel wrong NOT to tell you, like to him, if someone has those strong feelings about someone, itโ€™s better to tell them than hold it in. So thatโ€™s exactly what he did, he took you out to a calm place first, maybe a lake with a pretty view or something like that, and he told you exactly how he felt, he explained everything to you so soft and nicely
- by the end you just wrapped your arms around him and told him you felt the exact same way, the rest of the day with him was so nice, you guys just talked, about anything and everything with each other, and by the end of the night he actually asked you out on a proper date
- He thinks your eyes are SOOOO pretty, like actually, really all of you is pretty to him, but he could get lost in your eyes for hours
- OMGGG and your dimples, he thinks your dimples are so dang adorable, he will literally try and do almost anything to see you smile and bring out those dimples, plus whenever he does see them he likes to put his finger in one of the dimples and squeeze your cheek LOL (if that makes any sense
- On days when your anxiety gets bad, he is so good to you, he will be there and listen to you if you need it with lots of hugs and cuddles, he gets so focused on how to make you feel better and what he can do to eliminate what might be causing it, he honestly is such a good support system, a total sweetheart for you 100%
- When it comes to being a perfectionist, he doesnโ€™t mind it one bit, but he also hates to see you be so hard on yourself sometimes, โ€œyouโ€™ve done enough honey, now go restโ€
- you would definitely introduce him to mystery tv ๐Ÿคฃ and he would end up liking it almost more than you LOL, usually on nights when you guys stay in, itโ€™s kind of an unspoken rule that you guys watch at least one episode before watching any other movies or things like that
- UGHH also letโ€™s talk about how he would he a TOTAL cuddle bug for you ๐Ÿ˜ซ like he gets so soft, especially right when you guys are about to fall asleep, he will just wrap his arms around you and hold you so nicely, even in general, he loves hugging you and kissing you on the cheek whenever he gets the chance, he keeps it more lowkey in public (holding hands, arm around shoulder, etc.) but at home he is all yours to wrap around and cuddle ๐Ÿคฃ
- you need someone to tell random facts to? Lip is the man for you! He would be so attentive when you tell him all of the cool things you know, he thinks your so smart and full of knowledge itโ€™s insane, youโ€™re like his own little text book LOL, some day when he comes home heโ€™ll ask you, โ€œyou have any cool facts to tell me?โ€ ugh heโ€™s so cute
- when you give him any type of gifts his heart literally melts, he will always love what ever you get him, to him it just shows how thoughtful and caring you can be for him and just that thought alone makes him so soft, and just know when you buy him something he is going to use it to itโ€™s full potential, like he is not going to waste it at ALL
- just imagine you guys playing video games together, it would be so cute, like he would try his hardest to beat you but you would win every time ๐Ÿคฃ then after he would protest that he let you win, โ€œokay then letโ€™s play again, serious this timeโ€ โ€œno no weโ€™re good, you winโ€ BAHAHAB
- you guys are a very nice and empathetic couple overall, if someone is in need, you guys will help them, especially for close friends and family, thatโ€™s a big thing in yโ€™allโ€™s relationship, is that you guys care for eachother and others 100% almost to where sometimes people look forward to hanging out with you guys because yโ€™all are so kinda and welcoming
- whenever you are reading something he will come up and ask you, โ€œwhat are you reading?โ€ and once you tell him he would be like, โ€œoh that sounds really nice, can I read it afterwards?โ€ It would become a habit that you guys read books and then recommend them based off which books sound the most like the other
- you guys barely argue, but when you two do, it usually is calm and you guys try to talk it out between each other, communication is always key in a relationship so both of you try to listen and understand what the other person is feeling and where they are coming from, that way fights donโ€™t turn into a screaming match between you two
- he thinks every single one of your tattoos are so cool and unique, heโ€™ll usually ask you about one of them from time to time and ask you why you got that one and why you got it in that spot, he thinks tattoos suit you so nicely and loves kissing each and every one of your tattoos when he gets the chance
- but overall he is the nicest and sweetest boyfriend ever, he is always down to spoil you and treat you like royalty, he loves you so much and canโ€™t wait to spend the rest of his life with you ๐Ÿฅน
thank you again for your request lovely!! ๐Ÿ’—

8, 10, 12, 14, and most importantly, feel better, oh sleepy one ๐Ÿ–ค
Hi Klaus. I've added a bunch of songs to your playlist recently. Been thinking vague thoughts about you. Like, "Klaus is a nice friend" and "I should make Jet content so Klaus will show up and be happy about it" and then I fall asleep.
8. If you had to write an entire story without either action or dialogue, which would you choose and how would it go?
I dunno how long the story is, but I've written flash fiction/short stories comprised of only dialogue. I know I can do it. But I think that eventually gets tiring for the reader. Not everyone is up to quite that level of imagining, especially just from whatever context clues happen to be dropped in the conversation. I am really good at writing dialogue, but I'd probably go for just action without it for a longer project. That can get dry as well, so I'd have to get creative with it. But I could do it if I tried.
10. Has a piece of writing ever โ€œhauntedโ€ you? Has your own writing haunted you? What does that mean to you?
Anxiety Story haunted me for a bit. I wrote it as a fanfic with the intention of helping people with anxiety to relate to it, and people without to understand it. And I succeeded in that. People commented that it felt very cathartic and comforting to see anxiety that wasn't sugar-coated, or solved by friendship. I went really raw with it, and it was appreciated. My favorite comment was from someone who said that their sister struggled with anxiety and through my fic, they finally understood what it was like for her and how to try and help her when she was having bad days. And that really stuck with me because it showed me that there truly is a need and a desire for fiction that is willing to be frank about anxiety, depression, etc. That comment haunts me a little, and while I've temporarily given up on anxiety story, I've never given up on including mental illness in my stories, especially the anxiety and depression, which I also have. I can't quite bring myself to write about eating disorders, but I'd like to, someday.
Uh, and for a more normal answer, the Thorn Birds. I highly recommend it. I'll probably never read it again. But it's a reading experience you can't forget.
12. If a genie offered you three writing wishes, what would they be? Btw if you wish for more wishes the genie turns all your current WIPs into Lorem Ipsum, I donโ€™t make the rules
Executive dysfunction doesn't occur during the writing process
...actually that would solve pretty much everything else. I have inspiration, I have stories, I have motivation. I guess maybe a little bit more of a plotter's brain?
A better remembering ability outside of having to repeat information to myself several times and also maybe write it on my hand
14. Do you lend your books to people? Are people scared to borrow books from you? Do you know exactly where all your โ€œlostโ€ books are and which specific friend from school you havenโ€™t seen in twelve years still possesses them? Will you ever get them back?
I used to. Not anymore. Well. I "lend" books to my sister, who now reads more than I do, but really it's just gifting them to her. A couple I've lost but then they came out in prettier covers so I bought those. But I don't lend my books to anyone else. My coworker and friend wanted to read Howl's Moving Castle so I bought it for her. I should buy her a copy of a rival most vial, too. She'd probably love it.
Thanks for asking, my dear.

can you please post the science fiction recs anyway? i'd love that
Tumblr media
I WILL!!!!
Okay so before I do my recs, I wanna explain the reason I was able to read a bunch of science fiction my senior year of hs was because I had the last two periods of my schedule free, and instead of driving home like a regular teenager I instead stayed and took the bus home bc I don't drive. Anyways, I spent those last two periods of my school day in the library, reading and being a math/science tutor. I actually had time to fucking read, y'all, it was amazing!
Anyways, the only thing I knew about science fiction up until that point was that a lot of it was either space travel or time travel, which are two things I'm actually not interested in. So I didn't really go for the genre.
UNTIL I ran into a friend in the library during one of my TA periods, and she recommended a science fiction series. It coincidentally is my first recommendation! And it is:
Arc of a Scythe Trilogy - Neal Shusterman
It's hands-down one of my all-time favorite book series. I went into reading it suspicious and ready for my picky ass to put the first book down, but the worldbuilding grabbed me by the throat and said "not so fast!" I'll avoid spoilers by giving a vague gist of the series, but it's a futuristic sci-fi trilogy set in a world where basically the only way someone dies is if they are murdered by other people assigned to be grim reapers because the AI authority ruling society refuses to kill people. It's so, so badass. And I'd buckle up for this series too, because the amount of plot twists and unexpected turns that happen in this series was an emotional roller coaster I'd never experienced before. I'm sorry if you've already heard about/read this trilogy btw, I have no clue how popular it is I'll be honest with that. Also, in the third novel there's a genderfluid character that's introduced and becomes the love interest of a protagonist, and it was very nice to read about. It was also the first time I read about a genderfluid character in a published novel!
Anyways, after I devoured that trilogy, I was hungry for more, and decided I was going to comb through my school library's sci-fi section to see if there was anything that caught my eye. This is where I found my next recommendations (I also found my niche of sci-fi: futuristic biopunk dystopians). The first of these is:
Proxy and Guardian - Alex London
Fun fact about this duology: it's gay! Anyways, a vague gist about Proxy and Guardian is that it's set in a futuristic, post-apocalyptic dystopian setting where impoverished people can have their debts bought off by people in exchange for becoming their proxies for dealing with punishments. I thought the plot was very interesting, especially as it progressed. There's also something new that I haven't really read before, where the main cast has a "OH SHIT, WE FUCKED UP" moment, and actively tries to reverse what they've done only to find they're now at the mercy of the consequences of what they did. The worldbuilding was also pretty cool, too.
Moving on from that series, I immediately pounced on another book:
Fragile Remedy - Maria Ingrande Mora
Fun fact: THIS ONE IS GAY TOO! (it's funny because I didn't even realize this one had a gay romance in it too until I sat down and started reading it; I originally was enticed by the pretty blue cover laskdgh) The gist of this one is a little similar to Proxy's setting, but with more of a steampunk twist. It's set in the slums of a futuristic dystopian world, where the main character is someone who was genetically modified and therefore has blood that can heal people, which is something you don't want to be in that world. I was really drawn into this story by the characters, which had really good chemistry with each other. Also, if my memory serves me right, one of the characters in this novel is trans! It's not explicitly stated, but there are some pretty obvious hints to it. Compared to the other recs, this one didn't have as many plot twists, but the plot was still pretty interesting (even if I thought it moved a little slow at times). Also, the main character has a chronic health condition, which was something I'd never read about before.
After I finished Fragile Remedy, I honestly didn't know what to do. The sci-fi section in my library wasn't big, and I didn't see many more series that caught my eye. Well... all but one:
Matched trilogy - Ally Condie
Now this one... I actually have a history with, because I was actually rereading this series. However, the first time I'd read the trilogy was back when I was in either fifth or sixth grade, so it'd been at least 6-7 years since I last read the novels. My memories of the trilogy were murky and vague, but I remembered there were some things that interested me the first read around, so I decided to reread the trilogy.
It's very funny what 6-7 years can do. I remember being confused about the plot, setting, and the actions of one of the main characters the first time. But rereading it? Everything made sense. I actually disliked one of the characters back then because I didn't understand his actions, but ironically he became my favorite character the second time I read through it.
Anyways, the Matched trilogy is... you guessed it! A futuristic biopunk dystopian setting! I'm sorry about the lack of variety, but when I found out that was a thing I hunted down anything falling under that category like it was a sport. The setting of this one was feeling a lot more futuristic than the last two recs, tho.
Getting back on track, I had a lot of fun revisiting this series. It was A LOT better than I remembered, especially because I could finally understand everything more. It was also fun figuring out that I had actually read all three books through piecing together the vague memories I had, and rediscovering all the plot twists and developments that I had completely and utterly forgotten about. This series was also kinda bigger on the biology aspect of biopunk, especially in the third novel, which is always fun for me. In all honesty I don't think the worldbuilding is a main focus in the series, but what I felt lacked in that department was made up by the plot and character developments. Those of the real strengths of this trilogy.
I really hope this didn't get too long, or ranty. I just got excited. Tysm for the ask, anon! This was very fun, even tho I doubt what I had to say about my recs really helped lmao

it's been the same for me ๐Ÿ˜ญ how is april even ending like? i am still in my 2023 just started zone, i've been on autopilot mode tbh, also on purpose avoiding the dates lmao because i don't want to perceive the real time (if that makes sense). i'm so glad and proud of you btw <3
" maybe writers didn't think they'd get that far " CRYINGJSJSDJSK ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ they're just like me then <3.
love how we're so alike <3 because i also don't vibe with the revenge type of media too much, nothing is exciting drama wise this year. trying out classics sounds fun, which ones did you watch? i would love to know <3 AND ALSO SAME I'VE BEEN WATCHING MOVIES SM THIS YEAR, it's surprising to me because i used to be like 'i am not a movie person' turns out i just didn't know how to look for what i really vibe with ๐Ÿ˜ญ. i've been trying to watch more slice of life-esqe movies these days, i highly recommend canola ( 2016, korean movie) and also a not so slice of life movie, unlocked. i checked it out because of im siwan skjsksks and ended up wishing for him to not come on screen throughout ๐Ÿ˜ญ ( just bit of warning it's creepy and scary </3 ).
i truly get you </3 hope you get will to read soon <333 it's not a solution but i try to read even just 2 pages whenever i feel like my reading block is out. been reading a book like this since feb djsjsksk ( finally at last few chapters lmao ) i just tell myself slow reading is a thing and don't think too much of it.
sorry bss - second wind. i am now friends with seventeen and fml <3 I AM SO HAPPY YZA <3 i didn't know i needed a song based on dragon ball z this bad lmaoo ( i have zero clue about dbz btw, i was a pokemon - digimon kid) but i get woozi, if i was an artist i too would make all songs about my hyperfixations
i love the song, album and them esp woozi ๐Ÿ˜ญ. coups wasn't joking around when he said woozi will shine this cb. they all did tbh.
last two days were definitely the second highlight of this year after bss album for me. it's been so long since i got to be in the whole cb fanfare with anticipating teasers till cb day checking out the music. ( i still have to sit down and listen to the album with lyrics. i first listened to album then read all lyrics next day jsdkks haven't gotten time to both together yet ) i really liked everything about this cb and i love that for me. saur excited for the fml mv too. also today is woodz comeback i'm excited about that too it's been long since i heard new music from him
i've been annoying my friend since caratland about woozi (we both watched it together) ๐Ÿ˜ญ now i think this cb cemented woozi as a bias wrecker for me. sorry that got too long i am just rambling same thing atp.
which ones are your top 3? mine atp are fml, super and idubilu ( yesterday third one was dust dhsjjs ) tell me your thoughts about cb hehe very curious about it
i haven't seen the carat day live either, just watched it through twt clips jdjdks ( i can't watch actually because the app hates me ๐Ÿ’€ it doesn't load anything on wifi for me since last year )
