🎭I'm gonna have to say Livesies. It was my introduction to the Newsies fandom, it's got amazing songs, an amazing Devin Lewis cast (I'm jk I love that entire cast, they're all so good). Livesies is what introduced me to my blorbos, so I kinda have to say that one. *For reference, I haven't seen the entirety of a bway, toursies, or west endsies. I've only seen 92sies and Livesies all the way through, so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt.

🤝That is a great question. Um... I feel like I'm most like Finch? Chaos incarnate, terrorizer of bad people, but also kinda cautious when it comes to me or my friends getting hurt or doing something too dumb.

👔My favorite Newsies outfit???? I really like Romeo's, because it's just the most absurd hodgepodge of colors and patterns and I love it. I like 92sies Race's because it almost looks like he's trying to look nicer than the others. Almost like he's trying to look like he's above them (I'm not saying he thinks that! Just that he tends to wear nicer clothes). I also adore every costume from UKsies that I've seen. ESPECIALLY KATH'S POST-KONY. HER SPOON CROWN IS EVERYTHING TO ME.

💚We just gonna pretend I couldn't rant endlessly about Albert? Sick Albert DaSilva is my favorite background newsies and he has been since my literal first watch through. The "a leg o' lamb" was said and I looked at my roommate and immediately said "he's my favorite, what's his name?" and then he smartmouthed Weisel and it was cemented. Written in stone.

💜Tbh this question scares me bc I've been in a lot of fandoms where if you didn't ship the same pairings as other people they would've torn you to pieces. That being said I have a few: Finch and Romeo. Have you seen them tapping together at the end of KONY???? LOOK HOW MUCH FUN THEY'RE HAVING. LOOK AT THEIR SMILES. AND THEN THEY DO THE HANDSTAND WALKS AND JUMP UP AND POINT AT EACH OTHER????? Blink and Skittery. I have the image of Skittery being very afraid of a lot of things, and Blink totally definitely not protecting them. Skittery doesn't need protecting. Why would you think that? IKESHOT. Y'ALL. Y A L L. Do I know that they don't interact at all on stage? Yes. Will that stop me from shipping them with all my heart? Absolutely THE FUCK NOT. IKE BEING A LITTLE BALL OF CHAOTIC ENERGY AND ALSO V SMOL. HOTSHOT BEING CALM AND COOL AND COLLECTED, BUT ALSO SOMETIMES MEETING IKE'S ENERGY BC IT'S CONTAGIOUS AND THEY'RE GAY, YOUR HONOR.

THE MOVIE WAS SO GOOD AHDBDIDNDU I CANT BELIVE IT AUGH IM GONNA SCREAM ABOUT PARTS I REALLY LIKED UNDER THE CUT

Getting this out of the way, I just adored Sonic in this movie!!! He's so full of energy and growing up a little and getting more mature he's so cute ajdbdidnskdj

Tails!!!! He's so frickin small! Certified little guy! I love him so much and he's so smart and he just wanted to meet his hero how adorkable is that

And KNUCKLES!!! I really loved Knuckles in this movie, his dry confused humor works so well and I adore him so much he just wants some cool freind brothers and now he's got a family :)

Kinda out of left-field but I loved Sonic and Tails' little dance scene to uptown funk! They were just vibing and having fun, absolute kings

AGENT STONE CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF EGGMAN AND I CANT STAND IT ITS SO CUTE. Literally tho. Evil gay goals with both the coffee art thing and the egg robot thing you cannot convince me that Agent Stone was absolutely SMITTEN when he saw Eggman with the power of the chaos emerald

FAMILY!!! They are a found family, I love how Sonic called Tom dad, it made me literally cry, plus the BASEBALL SCENE!!! Im telling you, at the end of the whole movie series, we NEED a baseball scene with EVERY CHARACTER, Yeah that's right EVERY CHARACTER, Sonic, Knux, Tails, Shads, Probs Amy, just everyone that rolls along

And speaking of Shadow, did I mention SHADOW???? THE ULTIMATE LIFEFORM??? IN THE NEXT MOVIE??? WHAT???????

Anyway, in the next movies, all I ask is Metal Sonic, Amy, Eggman and Agent Stone getting together, and Bisexual Sonic if you please

Last thought before I go to bed, but I love that Shisui's hair canonically looks like this

Which doesn't really look all that curly, if maybe just a little wavy on the tips, but we as a fandom collectively agreed that he has beautiful curls that are incredibily soft and also Shisui clearly passes hours worth of expensive hair products to keep them as gorgeous as they are

It also makes me laugh that, if you look at it for a canon standpoint, Ace has clearly curlier hair yet often people write him up as having soft gentle and straight hair

And the only thing that connects these two characters is that they're both my comfort characters and they both had a short life and died in front of their best friend slash little brother and also Ace clearly never saw a hair product in his entire life and Shisui would probably faint knowing he never took care of his amazing curls even tho sea air is a bitch on hair

All I'm saying is, Naruto×One Piece crossover where Shisui and Ace somehow end up being best friends and getting together like a house on fire is one of my secret dreams

Itachi and Marco somehow end up sharing stories about their disaster friends and getting surprisingly well together

Thatch is just along for the ride and is also clearly taking lots of pictures and videos for later blackmail use

Izō is trying to force onto Kakashi's depressed ass some sort of fashion sense, meanwhile Kakashi just wants to go home

Gai absolutely adores the general energy of the Shirohige Pirates and finds himself right at home in the midst of completely unchecked chaos

i’m on floss’s intro episode but really i’m more invested in the fact that faith and elektra really should’ve been a couple. dammit cbbc

i swear literally half these kids have queer energy?? i mean. liam and frank?? elektra and faith??? tyler? lily? and we’ve talked about johnny. they’re all just so wonderfully varying degrees of queer-coded and we just get more of them in later seasons too-

hey why do both tyler and ryan have episodes where one of the other boys gets a job at a cafe, so they go to the cafe, cause chaos and end up banned. that is an oddly specific similarity

once again thinking about how similar rick and ryan are, and specifically about how it makes so much sense that tyler and ryan were close, since tyler and rick knew each other since burnywood

‘a day in the past’ time!!! the best of the group trip episodes, except maybe that one beach one from like s4

oh my god floss is so tiny in her cute lil green dress???? also i get the feeling the events of this episode had,, an impact on her worldview

we stan feminist rachel in this household, she is an absolute icon??? she deserved better than being stuck working at that house

ahhh another episode of johnny being a dick and also wildly repressed- this kid needs therapy and it honestly kinda pisses me off that they took this gay-coded character with a ton of self-loathing and issues with anger and authority…. and had him join the army.

i love how george is trying to correct mike on how to manage children,, he really should’ve seen the problems coming

you know… ryan and johnny really did have a lot in common huh. queer-coded boys who are regularly the villain of the episode, are manipulative and have anger issues, have younger sisters who they’re protective of but also controlling of, and ended up leaving by joining a government service, just after their shitty parent came back into their life-

mo! he was such a wasted character huh. he only got like. 3 episodes that actually explored his past at all, and he was around for like 4 seasons?

that... that IS a specific parallel. huh. very interesting. not that it really has anything to do with it, but it's fun that the parallel is between Tyler and Ryan, two characters who end up with a pretty close dynamic.

oh okay, you led on into that yourself! (you can tell I don't read ahead, I just reply paragraph by paragraph) it does make a lot of sense that Tyler and Ryan were so close when thinking about how similar Ryan and Rick can be at times. I really like the idea of Tyler just being drawn to Ryan initally because of that without really knowing why.

I will forever adore Rachel, I imagine she probably quit after that day and moved on to a similar job but with a boss who was all for educating about feminism and women's rights and how the treatment that women (and servants in general) was unfair, and made sure that while the kids were playing the parts with some accuracy, that they were learning what was right and wrong at the same time.

whenever I think about Johnny joining the army, I just want to scream. he needed help, not a gun and a ton of more trauma. the kid lashed out at the smallest loss of control due to childhood abuse and they thought the best way to help him through that was... war? it doesn't make any sense. I like to live in an au where Johnny is talked out of joining by everyone. they get him a therapist to talk to instead, telling him that if, after a few sessions, he still thinks the army is what he wants, then they won't stop him. but as the therapist gets him to open up, he begins to see that the army isn't for him; he just wanted to feel in control of something, like he was actively fighting against something, stepping back into the role of protector because he wasn't sure he was good for anything if he wasn't doing that. he's just finished school so he enrolls at college instead, gets in and moves on-campus, where he takes an interest in business and social work for children. maybe he even meets a guy in his classes and they hit it off and he finally understands a part of himself that has been weighing on him for years. give me queer, happy Johnny who does not join the army but has a nice, peaceful life! he realizes he can protect kids like him and Tee, giving him that feeling he so craved, and making a difference to other care kids.

harry was precious with that straw hat. (I loved my one trip to a victorian school, dressing up in the outfits. I only despised the cane.)

yeah, that was a pretty telling sign. just because the guy has seen a few groups of school days for a couple hours a day, does not mean he actually knows the first thing about them. and he simply refused to listen to mike trying to explain that they all live together so they had to be more sensitive and make sure there was no upset, because they wouldn't be able to just go home and forget about it by the next day.

yes!! the Ryan and Johnny parallels are just wonderful. hmm. a gifset may be required for visual proof of this. I will work on this.

Mo was SUCH a wasted character, you're right. just as we're talking about queer-coded characters as well. Mo had some of the biggest queer energy around, specifically around Bailey. but yeah, it bothers me how little they did with him considering everything they had to work with? when he's up in the attic with Tee in his first episode, he says that he and his 'parents' lived in a shed. not only that, but he also said that his 'mum' didn't like him very much, and we saw he reacted with fear to the idea of Mike 'hosing him down' AND he put himself in the corner when he thought he had done something wrong. a lot of this feels implies at least some form of neglect at worse and active abuse at worst. but this was of course never mentioned again. all we got after was the revelation that his 'parents' were actually his grandparents who STOLE HIM from his parents because his grandad thought they were unable to look after him due to their cerebral palsy and from them leaving him alone in the house with the door open at the age of 18 months. there's just a lot to work with and yet? we get like three episodes focused on him then he's gone.

it's funny, Johnny calling Tee 'patron saint of lost causes' like he isn't the exact reason that she is that way. she's always protected him and stuck up for him when everyone else has deemed him unredeemable for the things he's done or said. he is the biggest 'lost cause' in her life and while she's gotten mad at him and tried to 'disown' him a couple of times, she's still been there for him in the end.

don't tempt me, I will absolutely make that quiz.

Ok this is gonna be long. I’ve literally been slowly working on this for… too long. I’m just in a mood to have a long discussion about ships. I’ll be looking at canon and not, so bare with me. I don’t ship all of these personally. I’m mostly just picking the most popular ones. I chose to leave out a few that I just don’t want to talk about. I tried to keep this loosely chronological, but that quickly went to hell. None of this is meant to be hate towards anyone’s ship, just my personal opinions on each of them.

Canon:

Scott x Allison: True Classic

Scallison is so sweet as it is truly the epitome of young love. Romeo and Juliet, except Romeo is even more of an idiot and Juliet is a badass who dies for a cause. They’re moral and ethical codes are both highly valued by themselves, even if they don’t align with others very often. They loved with everything they had. They were beautiful. We’re they soulmates in the end, or just the first love who will always hold a special place in your heart? Who knows, but I’ll always love these immature kids who thought their love could change everything.

Stiles x Lydia: The Long Awaited

Stydia is as slow burn as you can get. Unfortunately their actual getting together was slightly rushed in my opinion. They didn’t have time to find their own as a couple because Stiles just wasn’t in the show enough at that point. I know the reasons behind it, but it did leave this couple at an awkward stage of official-but-not-shown. The idea that Stiles loved her as a kid, immature and infatuated, and he saw her for who she really was, will always be cute. Then they grew, changed, became friends, and found other people. Them finding each other later on, having real love that’s developed slowly, is a wonderful arc. Though, a part of me will always believe they should have pursued other story lines in the wake of Stiles’ absence from the plot. They’re finally together! …but we don’t get to see it.

Jackson x Lydia: The Image

Oh Jackson and Lydia. Honestly, I love them. Their connection at a time in their lives when they couldn’t open up to anyone else, just hits me right in the feels. I mean, god that HUG. You know the one. Always brings me to tears. I’m so sad their relationship was almost entirely depicted during Jackson’s kanima time when he couldn’t think nor truly act for himself. Those small moments of scared vulnerability when he wanted to protect her from himself… I’ll miss these two. They deserved to find other people and remain life-long friends. I loved their moment in the last episode. I wish they’d gotten to see each other grow. Also they had such bixbi solidarity vibes, and I’ll die on that hill.

Scott x Lydia: Leaders

Ok, I’m gonna be honest here. I ship it. The power couple they would have been?? Also them coming together after they lost Allison would have actually made sense. A part of me kinda wishes the writers had moved on from Stydia as a romantic relationship and leaned into them growing as friends and Stiles moving on from his childhood crush. Scott and Lydia actually would have had good chemistry. They were both very headstrong heroic types, but Lydia would have balanced Scott out well intellectually. They had the history, and I think it could had worked if they wrote it right. Plus, Scott and Lydia would have been a better endgame that Scalia.

Scott x Kira: New Beginnings

These two were adorable. Kira was a badass, don’t get me wrong, but she let herself be soft in a way Allison was always afraid to. This couple was truly Baby. Absolute dorks. I can definitely see the lasting quality between the two of them. They saw things very similarly, and had a ton in common. I do think Kira deserves more characterization outside of their relationship, like more of her friendship with Malia. Overall, her departure from the show will always be sad to me. It was bad writing. Scott was over her far too quickly.

Aiden x Lydia: Pretty People Herd

I honestly didn’t see much between these two other than mutual attraction. The best thing to come out of this relationship was Lydia’s line, “You’re not just a bad boy, Aiden. You’re a bad guy. And I don’t want to be with the bad guys.” Good character development moment.

Ethan x Danny: Step to Redemption

Danny really was the thing that made Ethan look outside of the pack for what he really wanted out of life. They had a few cute scenes. Gotta love Danny’s final remarks, “Dude, it’s Beacon Hills.”

Allison x Isaac: Unexpected Rebound

Ok, I like these two. Isaac could match Allison’s snark in a way Scott couldn’t. They both fought the progression of the relationship slightly. They didn’t expect to fall for each other. They were less willing to let someone in close. I’d love to have seen more… but unfortunately their time was limited. On a side note, sometimes their relationship did feel like ‘we both are in love with the same guy, let’s cope with each other’, but I find that completely valid. I’ll talk about Scallisaac later though.

Stiles x Malia: Anchors

Ok but, them <3 I love what they did for each other. Stiles was able to help Malia connect to her humanity and other people. He never tried to isolate her in their relationship and encouraged her growth. Malia offered Stiles the emotional support he never asked for. She defended him, fought for him, and loved him fiercely. Stiles needed that so much after season 3. I think they were a love that wasn’t meant to last, but the impact of it was forever. I wish we’d gotten to see a real end for them where they agreed that they needed to grow as individuals but would always still care.

Liam x Hayden: Three’s a Pattern

These two’s characterization stopped whenever they had storylines together. Their relationship was built on Scallison references. Hayden’s character could have been interesting, but they never really gave her a moment to shine. Liam has the worst plots when they revolved around her. Cute couple, poor writing.

Derek x Braeden: Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girl Boss

Derek deserves to be happy so much. Kate and Jennifer were just... jeez. Him and Braeden were cute and deserved more screen time. I think her intensity allowed for Derek to let go of control a bit more comfortably. Let Derek Be Soft. Anyway, love them.

Corey x Mason: Gotta Have That Rep TM

These two could have been cute if they were shown for more than two seconds at a time. I highkey forget Corey even existed all the time. Kinda just felt like a relationship to fill TW’s gay quota.

Jackson x Ethan: The Callback

Honestly? Loved them. Loved the chemistry. Loved the dynamic. Best twist. I know it was probably written in like that because Colton came out during his time away from the show, but it absolutely fit his character. Jethan is top tier.

Melissa x Chris: BAMF Parent Duo

Ok, so like, Melissa deserved this plot. She deserved someone to care about her. However... what the hell? Chris? In canon, his wife died like 2-ish years prior? His daughter died 1 year prior?? Is Chris really in a position to pursue a new relationship?? Also, like, Scott and Allison dated and loved each other up to her death. Kinda weird to have their parents hook up. I don’t hate it, but I don’t ship it…?

These two came out of nowhere I stg. Like, 6B really tried to tell us this was something that had been slowly developing in the background? Also, I understand that they are their own people, adults, and completely in charge of their own romantic pursuits: but did Scott seriously never call Stiles? Like, Malia wasn’t just his first girlfriend. She was his first. Like, dude that’s your best friend?? Not even a head’s up? No, ‘hey would this bother you?’ Oof. Plus Malia was way too chaotic for Scott. She existed in gray morality that always prioritized her immediate circle, and Scott was a very black/white type of heroism. I just didn’t feel like they fit.

Ya, sorry, I don’t ship Sciles at all. I get it. Like, I totally understand the ship, and I mean no judgment at all. I just see them as friends. I really value good male friendships in media because I feel like we don’t get enough, and I always liked these two.

Stiles x Derek: Enemies to Lovers. 100k. Angst. Hurt/Comfort.

God these two really are what fanfiction was made for. I could write a much longer discussion about Sterek, and I probably will eventually. I’ll try to keep this brief. These two weren’t always on the same side, but their approach was the same. They were very similar at their core. Plus, wow the chemistry. This should have been canon. Jeff’s a coward.

Allison x Lydia: Powerful.

This ship is so great. They really had a great dynamic, and a romantic plot would have easily fit the established narrative. Lydia’s confidence in herself and Allison’s confidence in her own abilities crossing over to each other because that’s what the other lacked? Iconic.

Danny x Jackson: He Gets Him

Danny really saw Jackson for everything he was and still cared. I wished we’d gotten to see more of them. I want more background with Jackson’s eventual coming out and his friendship with Danny. Like, they ended up dating the same guy. What did Ethan have to say about that??

Stiles x Jackson: Bastards

Ok these two had a super fun dynamic. The asshole-energy between them was, great. The snark was always so entertaining.

Melissa x Noah: Family

How were these two not endgame? Their sons were practically brothers already. They had amazing chemistry. The flirting? Not to mention, their timeline would have made way more sense. Missed opportunity.

Chris x Peter: The Opposite of Love is Indifference, Not Hate

Ok so like, this was definitely one of those ships that I had absolutely no knowledge of before I was pretty into the fandom. Like, this was not something I would have guessed just after watching the show. That being said; my god the chaos alone…

Scott x Isaac: The Disaster Duo

Okay ya I love these two. Two dumb asses who act like idiot puppies. Such a fun dynamic. Plus?? Chemistry??? Hellooo

Scott x Allison x Isaac: Three Heads Are Better Than One

This ship is definitely one of my personal favorites. I very rarely poly-ship. I just feel like most of them are just love triangles with an ‘easy solution’, when two of them have no real connection. That is so not the case here. I feel like all of them have such great chemistry with each other. They also have a great dynamic as a group. Season 3A was really just Scallisaac rights.

Stiles x Isaac: I Hate You, jk…Not Really

Ok I loved their banter, but I really just don’t see this ship. Idk, I don’t personally ship it. Would have loved to see their friendship develop more tho.

Erica x Allison: Duo that would stab you with a stiletto

I don’t ship it, but I do wish we’d seen them become friends. I feel like they had a very artificial ‘girls fighting over a boy’ dynamic? They could have been such a badass duo.

Stiles x Erica: Batman x Catwoman

Ok I’m not sure exactly how to express my feelings for these two so bare with me. OMG I love their dynamic so much, and they are sooo cute. Their energy? Amazing. Chemistry? Great. History? It’s there and has so much potential. 10/10. Love them. But, no, I don’t ship it lol. Just really love their friendship, but with the underlying history of crushes.

Boyd x Erica: Was This Not Canon?

How can anyone not love Berica? Ugh they are adorable. These two deserved so much better.

Boyd x Cora: Survivors

Honestly I don’t really see it? Like they definitely had a connection, but it never felt romantic. I really feel like they just had to lean on each other and bond to make it through captivity, and it just lasted.

Boyd x Erica x Cora: The Pack

I literally learned this was a ship a couple days ago. Similar feelings towards this as Bora, but with the added hesitancy of we never actually saw Erica and Cora interact.

Cora x Stiles: Slow Build Up

These two were clearing being lined up to be a thing before Cora ended up leaving. I can’t say I’m disappointed they never happened. Kinda felt like they just wanted to straight-code Sterek.

Cora x Lydia: Mean Lesbians

Not much interaction to actually go off of, but yes I 100% support. They have very different approaches to problems, which is fun. Very ‘opposites attract’.

Malia x Kira: “Maybe you could date the coyote?”

Another one of my favorites!! They really complimented each other. Also, how full circle would they have been? They were introduced in back-to-back episodes. Malia stalking her as a coyote? The line from Kira’s dad about dating it? It would have been so funny if that ended up happening.

Malia x Lydia: Beauty and the Beast, but make it wlw

These two were fun. I liked their friendship, but I don’t really ship it. Though, rip Stiles that would have been hilarious.

Parrish x Lydia: The Cop and The Minor

Must I say more? Like, Parrish’s character, so sweet and big rule follower, did not make sense for what went down with Lydia. I love Parrish, but the dynamic just felt off. It didn’t feel consistent with the rest of his characterization.

Parrish x Stiles: The Cop and The Minor, but gay?

Ok, same reasoning as above, but also they had absolutely no connection romantically.

Scott x Theo / Stiles x Theo: Sometimes The Villain is Hot

Ok I’ve put these together because I have the same opinion for both. I don’t ship it. Neither had any rebuilding of trust, and Theo really hurt both of them. I just don’t really think they work.

Mason x Liam: Sciles Puppy Pack Edition

Similar to my feeling about Sciles, I just don’t ship these two. They had a good friendship, from the little we saw of it.

Theo x Liam: Anchors 2: Electric Boogaloo

Another personal favorite! I really don’t even understand why this didn’t go canon?? The elevator scene was just, so intense. They helped each other grow in 6B, and I really loved their dynamic. They should have hooked up.

now, a fun story about your train question! I have been hanging out for a crossover question for a while, then three people sent me crossover questions in very quick succession but with Slightly Different Contexts and my brain blue-screen-of-death-ed trying to decide whether to answer them together or separately hahahaha

so, I decided to answer them separately. I posted a couple of asks a sec ago about, like, how the casts would respond to each other as a whole and about who would get along best and who would get along worst, but they were limited to just the main four of both casts

now I will talk specifically BEST FRIENDS FOREVER and extend it to other members of cast hehe :3

so I talked a little briefly about how Shara and Nat would get along super well, which I stand by. initially paranormal-enthusiast Shara would just be psyched as hell to hang out with a friendly vampire and over-excited vampire Nat would be pumped to answer whatever ridiculous questions she has because obviously this makes her happy, and indulge whatever experiments she wants to try out on him probably a lot involving stabbing and healing and more stabbing. but they'd get to know each other and become fantastic friends I think :D both very curious people who love a good mystery, they'd love being dragged into each other's nonsense plots and puzzles, and they have personalities that mesh well together. plus they're both extremely awkward people, but in ways that probably wouldn't even register to the other party, so. the awkwardness just evens back out to zero

for some reason I can also picture Shara and Nat as enthusiastic pen-pals :P

n I also talked briefly about Yvonne and Noa! Be Gay Do Crimes! they'd be best friends purely because they'd bounce all their energy and chaos off each other and egg each other on when it comes to hijinks and shenanigans. best friends? yes. safe friends who make good choices? absolutely fucking not

the others I mentioned in the previous asks, these are Friends, but not necessarily Best Friends, u feel me

so. hmmmm

Nat would also take one look at Jacob and be like "oh, a friendly non-threatening completely normal but kind of endearingly oblivious human man who fills my heart with joy and is completely unfazed that I'm a vampire, I know exactly what to do with you" and would immediately elevate Jacob to Lloyd status. so Nat would just kind of sweep in and be like HEY WE'RE BEST FRIENDS I'D DIE FOR YOU LET ME BAKE YOU SOME FANCY MERINGUES and Jacob would be like. oh sick new friend!!!! plus Jacob is soft and squishy and PERFECT for napping on, which is good for Nat. and Nat is friendly and purrs and also is very soft and squishy and Jacob loves a good hug so it's fine for him too. I don't think they'd hang out much. I don't really think they have much in common. they'd just look at each other and go :D!!!!!!! and they'd adore each other

Riley and Jet would be best friends!! and they'd become best friends by taking one look at each other's fashion sense and immediately being like "oh lmao you're obviously queer and cool as hell". they'd balance each other out nicely, Jet boisterous and over-excited and forgetful, Riley more chilled out and placid and careful, so together they'd probably be juuuuuust the right amount of functional hahahaha. they'd make a pretty good team! they're both very anxious, too, but in entirely different directions, so usually when one has a freakout the other would be calm enough to calm them down and vice versa.... plus, y'know, anxiety is a necessary survival instinct, so they'd both be naturally in tune when it comes to automatically covering each other's anxiety blind spots in risky situations :P n despite Riley in general being a bit more relaxed and less intense than Jet, she's also extremely neurodivergent like him n is one of the few people who can keep up with whatever twenty different tangents Jet goes on in a conversation

they're best bros mostly because they can have an entire excited conversation that's going in a million directions at once and makes perfect sense to them but is just completely incomprehensible to everyone else

the cats, of course, the cats!! Tris would adore Grub!! horrible ugly little cat that loves to yell!! actually I think the entire ATDAO main character gang would want to be best friends with Grub. the only cat they regularly hang out with is Leonardo DiCatrio, and Leo only likes Tris (and occasionally Puts Up With Shara and Kai). Grub on the other hand is VERY affectionate and loves people, so she'd be showered in affection by the cat-cuddle-deprived other three too :P (and Nat would be DEVASTATED that Leo is skittish and doesn't want to be best friends with him)

Quinn.......... Quinn does not do the whole "having friends" very often in general, let alone BFFs. that title is reserved for Alex and Alex ONLY. Quinn and Alice might vibe, though. best friends. in total silence. both dig being Cool and Mysterious and Vaguely Feeling Better Than Everyone Else. I feel like they'd just like. hang out off to the side of the room n people watch and be like...... yeah...... we're too cool and mature for this B) (edgy losers). they'd never speak a word to each other but would occasionally give each other the Cool Person Nod

tf2 matchup? im a gay trans man who may be short but I am brimming with energy and rage. I'm also very impulsive (both to my gain and to my detriment) and I get really angry really easy. what I lack in physical strength I DO have in charisma and smart. ness. sometimes. my ability to do things decently and think straight is entirely on a whim but goddamn if I won't try. Okay so as soon as I read this my mind went to scout, BUT then it was like “Sniper” and then I paused and went “Demo”, so you also get to choose which one out of the three I write, enjoy! Scout: What is there to say? the two of you are chaos causers, to the joy of Scout and the annoyance of the rest of the team, but what does that matter? you and him are in this together and have enough energy to keep up with each other. He is also a man who can’t think straight and it’s a gamble what that will be. He admires you and your artistic abilities a lot, he is the only one on the team it seems to have the ability so it’s nice to be able to talk to you and show you something he made with you understanding on his level what he did. Sniper: Snipers finds you absolutely adorable, or handsome, whatever you rather be called. Sure you can get on his nerves with how much energy you have, but double edged sword! you have this excited nature to you that makes him smile to himself and pull down his hat to hide his face. You’re like a puppy and he’s good with animals, so it’s not hard to see why this stoic piss man would love to call you his own. Also, animals?? this is the aussie outback man, he LOVES animals and will teach you everything he knows about them to you. Demoman: He is extremely amused by your high energy and rage, together with you he brings you out to blow things up with him when it’s all just to much, he’s always laughing when at work, isn’t he? He also admires your charm, even when drunk it puts a smile on his face. He loves to watch you work on art, as he can’t draw anything other than explosive schematics, it amazes him to watch. He would also love to see your pets and animals.

God... I've got so many..... But!!! I'll start with just my main five boys that occupy my every waking thought because I love and adore them Gonna yeet this under a readmore

Okay so quick side note, all of my ocs for the most part are for roleplays with friends, and if their not their for video games or dnd lmao so they tend to have a bunch of different varations/storylines and stuff like that. I've always wanted to make a actual like, comic or book out of a lot of the stories but I've never managed it, so none of the characters have like, a base storyline currently asdfjnasd So their motivations and personalities change/shift based on the story their in.

But! First off we have my baby boy and the oldest oc out of this group, Grech

He's just... my emo disaster I love him very much. He's very quiet and a bit shy, he tends not to show much emotion most of the time? But he just... wants to be friends with people and he wants to be around the people he loves and he's such a good boy and I just -breathes in- love him lots

He's also an absolute idiot this bad boy can fit so many bad decisions in him-

He has a twin sister named Flare who he loves and adores, and he's also got a giant black fluffy cat named Twilight who's his emotional support animal who's... so good.... He's just. Struggling along. Getting angsted by me constantly. He's a big comfort character for me, playing him is like wearing a big cozy sweater sometimes. I just... really love him.

Then we've got Carter!!

Carter is my disaster child, he also may or may not be my whump character, he's just constantly getting into trouble but he tries so hard and he loves people so much and so hard and god ahhh

His whole thing is like... being really compassionate/always trying to see the best in people, which can land him in hot water sometimes because he tends to ignore red flags because of it. He has really big abandonment issues and is just always struggling emotionally and is like... usually feeling shitty but he tries not to let it show. He's snarky and sassy, he tends to try and get a rise out of people he doesn't like and just isn't afraid to Cause Problems On Purpose occasionally. He's super cute, playful, and friendly, he calls his favorite people 'cochise', and... like he's a relatively new oc, I only made him about three years ago, but I feel like I've had him forever I literally love him so much. He also has a cat like Grech, his cat is a syphnx named Sage and she is wonderful.

I could talk about Carter for hours, I have so many feelings about every version of him I've written, he just fills me with feelings. He was meant to be a temporary throwaway character that only showed up for a bit but he just instantly stole my heart and I haven't stopped loving him since.

In the interest of time however let's move on to Damien

Damien, similar to Carter, was actually meant to be a throwaway villain character and then I, you guessed it, got fucking attACHED-

His first appearance had him dramatically draping himself across a chair in a dramatic entrance and he's ruled my life and my RP partner's life ever since

(Aforementioned dramatic chair sitting)

Damien is very much so the 'I don't care about anything except oops now I care about you' trope, he has trouble being emotionally open but he's so sweet once he does open up. He shows his affection through things like gift giving and acts of service and he's really tender and just... an absolute hopeless romantic. Simp. Dumb pining gay.

I just... I love playing Damien so much. He's so fun and dramatic and pretty, I love thinking about him and his motivations and just aaaaaaa he's a good fucking boy dude

Then we have the apple of my eye Jared!

Jared is an absolute sweetheart, just a bouncy lil fella, filled with warmth and also trauma because all of my characters are sad akdfjnaksjd. Jared is just!! Always doing his fucking best man, he wants the best for people. He tries to be really optimistic and like, sunshine-y, even when he's not feeling that way, and he tries to be really caring. He also represses allllll of his anger which is like... y'know... not great.....

But he's fine, probably.

He's actually the only one out of these characters that only has one consistent love interest (My rp partner's character Isaac, who I'd die for) and they are um....... fucking precious I love them so much.

P much all of these characters are ADHD/Autistic bc,, I play them but Jared was the first that I intentionally played that way and as such has consistent hyperfixations and special interests (Namely Tangled, Mulan, Fall out boy, and most of all, spiderman) so I really love that about him.

And, last, but definitely not least, is the chaos son himself Seth

(tungle will only let me use ten photos and I don't like his character sheet anyway so only outfit ref for him akjsdfasdj. As a quick rundown, his full name is Seth Laurens, he's 4'11, he's trans and gay, he's got adhd, autism, and ptsd, and he is a bastard)

Seth is probably the most recent out of any of these characters tbh? I only started getting really into him as a character over the past year or two but god... He's fucking fantastic. Pure chaos. ADHD embodiment.

Seth just has so much energy and rage and very little impulse control, he's constantly wrecking shop and not even meaning too. He's a tiny 4'11 himbo, not a fucking braincell in his lil head. He's very awkward and bad at making relationships but he tries so hard and once he does he latches on so hard to people and just loves them so much. He doesn't really think he's worthy of being cared about most of the time tho

He still has plenty of, sometimes unearned, confidence though. Nothing can stop this stubborn boy once he puts his mind to somethin he's fucking GOING. I love him.

But yeah!! Those are my boys!!! If you wanna learn more abt em I've got a lot more information and stuff on their toyhouses bc I have a,, hyperfixation on my ocs and I can never stop thinking about them. Thank you so much for letting me ramble a bit Tea!!! I really appreciate it ssfdiasask

New sensations, Sweet temptations Chapter one (Crygi/Jan x Rock) - Winter

A/n: huge thanks to emerald for betaing this, it’s been like a solid month of planning then like a week of actually writing it but i’m proud to finally be able to put chapter one of my first multichap out here, it’s a little short but a lot of fun, enjoy a soft highschool au of the s12 girls

The end of spring, transitioning into the start of summer, was a strange time. It was getting hot but school was still going for a little longer. People got restless, wanting for anything interesting to happen. The desire to spend time in the sun with friends grew stronger day by day until a beach trip was suggested.

The second the words beach trip were uttered in the group, all previous conversations were lost. The idea of a beach trip made all the girls excited.

Jackie had been the one to suggest it, knowing her friends well enough to know they would all agree. It had been a while since all eight of them had done something together, making it extra appealing.

“There’s a beach that’s a 20 minute drive away from here. How does everyone feel about going next Saturday?”

The resounding chatter of approval was all Jackie needed. Plans were made and excited chatter was shared for the next week. With the explosion of energy that half of their friend group was, it sure was a lot to deal with.

Jan was always excited. In the run up to the beach trip she held her usual enthusiasm that rarely seemed to droop. She had rambled about how excited she was multiple times in the past week. After the fourth time it had become somewhat grating to the other girls. That didn’t phase her though, returning with the same bright enthusiasm day after day.

The excitement spread as the days went by though. Rock soon joined Jan in her excitement, not wanting to leave the blonde alone in her enthusiasm. Crystal had followed soon after, talking non-stop about how fun it was going to be.

She totally wasn’t also excited to see Gigi in summer clothes, absolutely not. The thought of the redhead in shorts messed with her brain. She could wear anything and make it look good though. That was the power of Gigi Goode and what Crystal thought to be the endless beauty.

Gigi herself was minorly excited. She hoped for an opportunity for some alone time with Crystal. The two of them at a beach had potential to be exciting. Gigi resolved to offer to buy the green-haired girl some ice cream when the chance arose on the day.

The day had started well enough for the group. Knowing half of them struggled to ever get up on time, it was an achievement they were all together half an hour after the agreed meeting time.

“Jan, are you incapable of being on time?” Nicky asked, tapping her foot impatiently and giving her fellow blonde a light glare before turning her attention back to jaida.

Jan just laughed. None of them apart from Jackie, Jaida and Heidi had been on time. The fault did not lie fully on her. Nicky was impatient as ever though, choosing the easiest target for her irritation after waiting for 20 minutes.

“Who decided to let the two slowest girls arrive together anyway? Don’t think I forgot about you Rock. How much did you have to do with the lateness?”

Nicky was as blunt as ever, not waiting to poke into the issue. She knew full well neither girl was good at being on time. Combining their chaos was an awful idea. She sent an annoyed glare to the two of them, although it didn’t phase the pair. They were always off in their own world when together, it was a mix of amusing to watch and infuriating to actually deal with.

“Calm it Nicky, we don’t need to argue. At least we’re all here, close enough to being on time.” Jackie spoke in her authoritative mother voice that always sorted out the childish bickering. It was inevitable in a large group of loud girls but that didn’t mean there was no way to control it.

The group made their way to the beach, Nicky and Jaida splitting off to find a good place to sunbathe.

Crystal and Rock seemed to have the same idea, glancing at the water then at each other with a devious grin. Jan and Gigi exchanged a nervous look, knowing what the girl’s could do when teamed up with no one to stop them.

Shortly, they were all in bathing suits ready for the day. Jan’s gaze caught on Rock in her pink frilly mess of a swimsuit. It was something only she could pull off that well. Not only that, her best friend’s body was more revealed than normal. Maybe it was the shock that was keeping the blonde’s eyes trained on the muscular arms currently swinging wildly in the water aiming to splash Crystal before she could be splashed herself.

There was nothing odd about that. Not one thing. Just a friend admiring their good friends figure.

But it wasn’t just that. Jan’s mind was racing at the sight of Rock and her toned body. She was confused, having not given the girl this much visual attention in all the years they had known each other.

Her totally normal appreciation was interrupted by a bemused Gigi, tapping her on the shoulder with a knowing smirk.

“I know that look, it’s the same look Nicky always gives to Jaida. Didn’t think you were into loud pastel nerds, very interesting Jan.”

The blonde jolted in shock. There was no way she looked at Rock the way Nicky looked at Jaida. The French girl did nothing to hide her obvious interest in the self-proclaimed essence of beauty. Her looks were often one of obvious, unfiltered attraction and appreciation. Jan and Rock were different. They didn’t flirt constantly, they were just two best friends who looked at each other with affection due to their close bond.

Right?

She couldn’t dwell on it too long, a loud voice called her name. Rock was beckoning her over with a large, gleeful grin that made the blonde’s heart flutter.

For all the staring, Rock herself had failed to catch on to any longing gaze from the blonde, instead preoccupied by attempting to win the ongoing water fight between her and Crystal.

“Geeg, you too! Help me win this!” the excitement in Crystal’s tone brought Gigi in, her heart warming at the childlike wonder twinkling her eyes. The redhead maintained her composure, but agreed to help fight the losing battle.

Jan and her walked over, with the blonde preoccupied with messing around with her pink haired friend the moment she got into the water. Gigi didn’t buy Jan’s refusal for a second but knew rather well that it wasn’t her place to pry. At least not yet.

Crystal bounced in excitement at Gigi joining her, greeting her with a welcoming splash, soaking the neatly tied up red hair the Gigi had tried hard to not mess up too badly.

The look on her face must have said it all as Crystal backed up slightly, an innocent smile tugging at the corners of her lips. Gigi returned the smile, inching closer and using both of her arms to create a large splash, completely drenching Crystal and making her giggle with glee.

Something about the way her soaked green hair stuck to her face was adorable, that and the smile. The soft smile that sent Gigi crazy. The one she just wanted to kiss and be the one to cause to as long as she could. Only Crystal would smile like that after being splashed by a large amount of water.

Outwardly, Gigi only smiled slightly before setting her eyes on their competition. Of course Jan and Rock had teamed up. But Gigi was confident she could get the pair drenched with ease, or that was her idea before Crystal excitedly ran forward, attempting to get the girls while putting herself at an easy range.

Gigi held back a laugh when her friend got soaked by two well timed splashes from the opposing girls. Her heart sank at the look of betrayal Crystal had, but was soon boosted up as the green-haired girl cracked an adorable smile. God damn it, Crystal was doing things to Gigi that made her just want to kiss this girl.

Deciding to play the honourable hero, she lept into action, delivering a considerably large splash to distract Jan and Rock before moving Crystal out of their splashing range.

The little giggle Crystal let out at seeing how Gigi managed to soak both Jan and Rock made her heart twist and flutter even more than before.

Their little battle continued, eventually ending in a defeat when Jan almost fell, her whole body almost dropping into the water before Rock instinctively caught her.

That didn’t complicate her feelings further. Absolutely not.

Jan’s mind was left wondering and confused at the day’s events. She seemed absent as they grabbed food and ice cream with the whole group, only really returning when she turned to face Rock before the pair drove home.

“Rock, how did you know you were gay?”

Did you ever make that joker tier list, I always like seeing what people think of all the different ones. Though if they put Romero last I can no longer respect them.

LMAO I DID! I think I’ve made it kind of obvious in this blog but I... don’t... particularly... care... for... the joker.... unless he’s, y’know, fun to watch. Cause he’s a clown, and clowns are supposed to be entertaining. But since you politely brought it up, and and because I have a deep respect for mutual Romero-lovers, I guess this would be a good time to explain my rankings and just discuss my general thoughts on each clown:

General Thoughts:

For the most part, I don’t really care for the Joker. This is hardly an uncommon opinion here on tumblr, but I definitely fall on the side of the fandom that feels that he gets too much attention from DC. I get WHY they use him so often for films and comics, and I don’t have anything against *most* folks who consider them their favorite Batman villain, but at this point he’s used more for shock value and as a crutch instead of anything interesting. Like, instead of giving attention to the other Rogues, writers (at least for the comics) will try and make up some bullshit story that they can shoehorn the Joker into, ‘cause it sells. It’s tiring, and I feel like the character has lost his meaning; I can only read so many stories about the Joker, I don’t fucking know, wearing a suit made from dead babies and Jason Todd’s flayed corpse before I get sick of it.

I’m at the point where I’ll like any Joker who’s just fun to watch. I genuinely respect those who prefer darker interpretations of the character, but that isn’t me; I vastly prefer the lighthearted takes on him, because... at this point... writers who use the “cleaner” version of him tend to be more creative, since they actually have to write a Joker story that doesn’t rely on gore/torture porn.

TIER ONE:

Joker Baby: Self explanatory. Joker Baby is thematic, thoughtful, and intense. Everytime I watch this video, I shiver with fear and pleasure; something primal in me awakens whenever Joker Baby runs his fingers through his spray-on dyed hair, and ends up smearing green paint on his forehead- it represents the inner turmoil, the chaos, that resides within the disturbed body that is Joker Baby. Nothing can ever hope to top the artistic and cultural impact Joker Baby has had on society.

TIER TWO:

Batman Ninja: I genuinely believe that Batman Ninja is one of the most fun, organic, and creative things to come out from the Batman side of DC comics in like... hmmm... a decade, maybe (I could talk for hours about how much I love this movie but that’s something for a future post). This Joker is easily, and unironically my favorite interpretation of the character, period. I love his energy, his design, everything. This is the most fun I’ve ever had watching a Joker on-screen, and for that I’ve gotta give the film credit where it is due.

Batman ‘66: I looooove Caesar Romero. Batman ‘66 in general is one of my favorite pieces of Batman media, and I absolutely adore this Joker. The show is pure, genuine fun, and it’s nice to turn my brain off and watch a show where the entire cast was allowed to goof around. This Joker is just a cute, goofy little clown-man who likes to commit crimes, go surfing, turn Gotham’s water reserve into gelatin, and have wild orgies with Penguin, Catwoman, and the Riddler. I massively appreciate the hustle. I love his little mustache and his facial expressions. I’d give him a chaste little kiss on the cheek if I could.

The Batman: EXTREMELY CONTROVERSIAL TAKE BUT. I think TB!Joker is better than what people will give him credit for. I can only imagine how stressful it must have been to be the first Batman cartoon to follow BTAS and the writers for this show knew they were gonna be fucked no matter what they did with the Joker, so they just decided to try something completely different with him. Personally, I appreciate the new direction- he has a fun, unhinged energy. I’ve placed him higher than BTAS/BTNA!Joker simply because The Batman was the show that got me into the Rogues in the first place, and I’m just a bit closer to this Joker because of it. Also his vampire form was cool as FUCK in Batman Vs. Dracula and the scene where he gets drenched in blood at a blood bank is fucking awesome.

Batman the Animated Series/The New Adventures: Everyone loves BTAS’s Joker, and I’m no exception. Mark Hamill is fucking great, and the writers clearly knew the character well enough to create a version of him that can be fun and threatening. As an aside, I unironically like his redesign in BTNA- I remember Hamill mentioning somewhere that he thought it was neat that this Joker looked more like a shark (I’ll see if I can find a source on that... I think he said it in an interview with Kevin Smith?) and I kinda agree with him. the redesigns in the final season are hit or miss, but I didn’t get why so many people bitched about the Joker’s new look.

Batman Unlimited: Hear me out... Hear me out... Clown... funny... and cute... He wears a little crown and gives Solomon Grundy a little smooch on the cheek and it is as delightful as it sounds. Yes the Batman Unlimited films literally only exist to sell toys but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy them on some ironic level.

TIER THREE:

Lego Batman: He’s a gay icon. He has the range. Enough said.

White Knight: This is just a genuinely good, original take on the character, and the art in White Knight is absolutely gorgeous.

Arkham: My friends and I joke that this Joker is basically a more unhinged version of BTAS! Joker and... yeah. I’m glad Hamill and Paul Dini got to fuck around with the character more, but I never really dwelled on the Joker parts of the games like I might have for other characters. I definitely liked him the most in Arkham Asylum, as he was more fun to watch. Arkham City was fiiiiine, but I think I replayed the game so much that I kinda got fatigued with everything about it. Genuinely hated his part in Origins, and I was pissed that he stole the attention from Black Mask and Bane (who’s the best fucking part of Origins IMO). I’ll admit that I... Haven’t... played... Knight yet (I have it on PC but my laptop is too wimpy to run it) but like... He’s dead at that point, so I’d assume he isn’t the main point of that game anyway. I love Mark Hamill and the fact I can personally beat the shit out of this Joker, so he’s ranked up pretty high for those reasons.

TIER FOUR:

Batman ‘89: TBH this Joker should be a rank higher, but I’m too lazy to hop onto PicsArt to change it. NIcholson was an excellent choice, and I apprecaite how this Joker makes use of the playful and unhinged aspects of the character. Also, his outfits are cute, and I love the museum scene.

Brave and the Bold: Technically this Joker SHOULD be ranked higher since he’s literally based on the more lighthearted comics in the 60′s but... ehhh... I haven’t really watched BATB so I don’t have any strong opinions on the show and how it handles the character. he’s ranked this high through beause I appreciate what they were going for.

Golden Age: The quality of comics are always subjective, based on the creative team behind them. Some I’ll like more, others less so, It’s kind of hard to rank the pre-52 comic version of the Joker because of this.

TIER FIVE:

Killing Joke: Read it, didn’t care for it. I acknowledge how massive the impact this comic had on... everything, but just because I recognize how important this graphic novel is, doesn’t mean I have to like it.

The Dark Knight: Ledger did an excellent job with the role, but uhh... I’m kind of sick of the alt-right chuds who are out there sucking this Joker’s dick. The fanbase definitely ruined the character for me.

TIER SIX:

99′: Eh

Endgame: No

Suicide Squad: NO

Death of the Family: Hate him. Despise him. Lame stupid dumb little edgy bitch.

Gotham (Jeremiah): I don’t particulary care for Gotham in general, but the only reason I ranked this Joker over Jerome is beause I thought it was kinda funny to see that they made him a little rat-man, and I liked watching all the fujoshi on here cry and complain that they can’t ship this version of the joker with the pre-pubescent Bruce Wayne in the show bc he’s too ugly.

Gotham (Jerome): stop shippping this freak (who is fucking eighteen years old) with a literal twelve year old child. what the FUCK is wrong with yall.

UNRANKED:

The Joker (2019): I don’t plan on watching this film, nor will I ever. I know this is ironic, coming from someone who runs a Rogue blog, but stuff that focuses primarily on a character’s deteriorating mental health makes me reaaaaallllllyyyyy anxious (it’s kind of a phobia) and considering that I don’t particularly the Joker, I have no reason to watch something I know will only give my dumb ADHD-ass intrusive throughts.
