late night oc thoughts again!
#cosmo rambles#dimension cross edition#been thinking a whole lot about gear and source lately and of course RGB#DC too who is also part of the crew as the medic#and ive been working out their sort of connections to one another a little bit more here and there#gear and rgb are very much siblings and they about equally run the dimension cross crew#rgb takes more of the leadership position while gear usually takes the level headed backseat role but#ive found it increasingly funny to consider rgb might be the more normal and less impulsive one of the two#and by that i mean rgb is impulsive for sure. but she's less likely to do something horribly dangerous that would affect everyone#while gear may make a rash decision that might. endanger everyone. just a little bit. because he's either mad or impatient#gear absolutely normally is sort of the voice of reason and he is a very reasonable and wise guy#but he's also very strong and might actually be the one to pick a fight if he's angry and defensive enough#rgb... well. she's fought sonic before. stupidly. acted like a supervillain after finding a chaos emerald to convince him to fight her 1v1#then had to call time out because he almost kicked her ass into next year but. yknow.#basically. your honor they are silly#on the other hand source is kind of like the third sibling but also This Weird Dog We Found. We're Keeping Him.#source is unnerving outwardly but they're pretty quiet all things considered. things considered being They Are Slime Mold in a Fursuit#but of course their whole thing is having the simultaneous best and worst comedic timing. we're in a space bar?#big angry space bikers? source is going to walk up to them and annoy them and then the whole dimension cross crew has to deal with a fight#or get kicked out of the bar. whichever comes first#dimension cross as a crew is also only four guys and they are not that organized. it's more like a road trip with general roles. in space.#interdimensionally also.#DC... their personality isnt really.. defined yet! they're somewhere between mad scientist and anxious nerd. they are just a woerm.#and by that i mean they're a worm off da string but also cybernetically enhanced. and the enhancements they installed on their own.#naturally DC is very skilled as a medic both for cyborgs and fully biological things alike#they're kinda just. rotating source trying to figure him out. endless fascination but also trying to avoid them getting hurt#i gotta think about DC more tho. theyre the least developed member of dimension cross and i feel bad#also got a new member of the crew going soon enough . .. .. im excited to think about the interactions between them all LOL

Halloween prompts year 2 day 27
Danny watched on as Nightwing- his literal soulmate- did an amazing backflip off of a roof, spinning several times in the air before landing gracefully on the top of another building. Nightwing was so graceful and in control of himself and his movements. Danny found himself wondering how Nightwing would move as a ghost.
Heck, how would he look as a ghost? Would he have white hair like Phantom or blue hair like Ember? Maybe green hair like Kitty and Youngblood, but Ghostwriters hair was still black as a ghost so maybe he'd be like that?
Shaking his head he moved to get up from where he had been leaning up against an old chimney, Nightwing having long since left. How should he go about this anyway? He can't just go up to a famous vigilante and be like, "Hi I'm your soulmate. Wanna go out with a complete stranger who has no way of proving anything that they're saying?"
And there was the real issue. If Nightwing asked how he had seen his soulmark Danny could just tell the truth: he had seen it in that nasty fight last week where hoards of ninjas had attacked them and tore up Nightwings suit enough to see it from his vantage point.
But if he asked about Dannys soul mark...well that was harder to explain.
His own soulmark used to be on his torso before he died but after he stepped out of the portal it was gone. As in there wasn't a trace of it anywhere. It was one of the reasons he never went anywhere without a shirt anymore because he knew someone would eventually notice its absence.
He could probably explain it as Phantom to make it more believable but he would have to get Nightwing to know Phantom more for him to trust him.
Which lead back to "how do I introduce myself to him without earning an electrified stick to the face?"
After a phone call with Jazz, where she basically gave him the long winded version of "Just be yourself! You were made for eachother after all." He decided that yeah! He can use his ghostly instincts to guide him! Whats the worst that could happen?
Cue Nightwing and the other bats in the batcave a week later, crowded around a table covered in pictures of captured villians and thugs. All of them were the same. All of them showed a subject laying on thier bellys hog tied, and in a cage with the words "horny jail" etched into it.
The only real connection that all of these lowlifes had was them making crude threats, creepy unsolicited advances, catcalling or otherwise being a creep towards Nightwing.
Conclusion: Nighting either has a fanboy following him around getting in over his head or he has a violent stalker staking a claim
Robin disagreed with his siblings. Clearly whoever is doing this is defending Graysons honor and Damian approves.
Danny thinks he's doing a good job in the "showing soulmate that you are capable of protecting him from weirdos" maybe he should get Nightwing an Anti-Creep Stick of his own...

Could you make a fanfiction of when Poppy surprised Branch that she was expecting to have a baby? And they tell all their friends and family the news? How would Branch react? And how would their family and friends react to the news too? I always imagine that they're excited to become parents, and so do their loved ones!? Could you do that? I also love the idea that their little girl had blue eyes, like her father's, Branch, indigo hair, and I imagined she looked like her mother, Poppy.
Hi! I wanted to break this up into 2 parts, this first one will be the siblings’ reaction to the news - I think Branch’s deserves a separate oneshot (I can’t say when I’ll have it ready for, as I do have a couple other requests from my Inbox to fill, but I hope you enjoy!)
Taking the News (a Trolls fanfic)
“AAAIIIIIIIYYYYYYYAIIIII!!!!”
Viva’s excited scream burst through the air, the Putt Putt Queen leaping a good couple feet up in an uncontained joy. The energy only doubled once she landed, waving her hands wildly about and gushing while she paced about and spoke a mile a minute. “OMIGOSH, OMIGOSH, OMIGOSH, I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!” She zipped over to Poppy and gently patted at her belly.
“Hello in there! It’s your Auntie Viva! Oh, I just know you’re gonna be so itty, and bitty, and cutie-wootie just like your Mommy was! AND I’M SO EXCITED TO MEET YOU!”
The Pop Queen giggled at her sister. “Veevs, I’m only a couple months. I’m not even sure if they can hear you yet!”
Branch on the other hand differed on this viewpoint. “After that scream? Yeah, they probably did.” Viva grinned sheepishly when she noticed the blue Troll rub his ears.
“Oh! I’m so sorry, Branch! It’s just that this is so, SO fantast-amazing!! Actually, it’s better than fantast-amazing! It’s fantast-AMAWESOME!” She squealed and bounced off to the side, expending her energy in one of the best ways she knew how - braiding! By the time her feet were back on the ground, it was Clay who was donning a brand-new French-braided hairstyle, topped off with little bows and glitter of all sorts of colors.
Clay groaned at how silly it looked. “Viva! Why me?” he whined.
Viva sprang to his side and gave him a playful punch on the shoulder. “Because you need to stop being a serious-boy grumpy-poo and get loose! My sis is gonna be a mom!! And your brother’s gonna be a dad!!” She celebrated by grabbing Clay in a tight hug and twirling him around.
When he was released, the lime-green-Troll found himself taking her advice, forgetting all about his hair and grinning broadly at Branch.
“Congrats, bro! I’m real proud of ya!” He fist-bumped the bashful blue Troll. Branch readied himself to reply, when he suddenly heard a sniffle. It came as no surprise that the Troll who had burst into tears was none other than Floyd.
“Oh, Branch, this is such a special thing! I’m honored to be an uncle, and I’m so happy for you…” He trailed off, a sob taking place where words failed him. He easily wept into Branch’s shoulder when his younger bro pulled him in for a hug.
“Thanks. I’m pretty psyched, too,” Branch agreed, smiling as he pictured their child. What would they look like? Perhaps they’d have his dark, indigo hair and sparkling blue eyes. Or they could be all Poppy, in gorgeous appearance and stunning personality. Or maybe their kid would inherit King Peppy’s orange skin tone, or Grandma Rosiepuff’s teal button nose. Branch’s head spun with all of the possibilities, each and every one perfect and plausible, until the reality of the situation weighed down on him. Being a father was a big responsibility. A flicker of doubt seemed to flash across his face right at that moment, which did not go unnoticed by Bruce.
The purple-haired Troll approached him and patted a hand on his back. “Hey, man, I know it can seem kinda scary at first - I know I was a little nervous for my first kid - but trust me, it becomes a breeze. And when it’s not, just call me for help! I got your back, bro.” He winked at Branch, making him feel a lot better. Bruce, after all, was an experienced dad, having fathered 13 kids of his own - all of who would become cousins to the new bundle of joy entering into his life.
John Dory suddenly swept in alongside them. “And me, too!”
Branch and Bruce gave him a curious look. “Wait… John, you’re a dad?”
JD’s jaw dropped. “Uh, yeah! You forgot? Man!” He strolled over to his caterbus, Rhonda, and patted her side lovingly. “It’s okay, girly,” he cooed, “they didn’t mean to forget about you, darling. Who’s the cutest caterbussy in the whole wide world? Huh? You are!”
Rhonda trilled in appreciation at John Dory’s sappy words, while Branch exchanged a look with his other brothers. While he wanted to point out that taking care of a caterbus was not all the same as it was taking care of a little Trolling, Branch couldn’t help but feel his own bout of appreciativeness towards his bro’s offer to help. Feeling playful, he grabbed JD with one arm and noogied him with the other, the pair of them laughing by the end of it.
Poppy and Viva in the meantime were having their own share of sisterly love, hugging and shrieking, and jumping up and down over the elation of it all.
“Ohhh, I can’t wait to tell everyone!” Poppy cried. “I’m gonna tell Bridget, and Biggie, and Mr. Dinkles, and Guy Diamond, and Satin and Chenille, and - “
“And Dad!” Viva cut in with a grin.
Poppy squealed. “Oh, my gosh!”
She and Viva shouted at the same time at the top of their lungs: “DAD’S GONNA FREAK!” Both girls burst into a fit of giggles just picturing the look on the elderly king’s face once the news hit him full force.
Viva bounced up and down once again and wrangled Poppy and the boys together.
“Aw, come here, guys! Group hug!” Arms enveloped Poppy and Branch from all sides in a flurry of limbs, letting the two happy parents know that they - along with their new kiddo - were indeed loved very dearly.

Kinger is like a mix of caine and ragatha, I think. Kinger gives me dad vibes that I cant white explain, and no it's not just because of his age... said it a few times but he tells embellished stories to you.. noooo cuz imagine if you try to fit into the royal aesthetic with him, be it with you as a prince/princess or as a knight or whatever. I think that would be adorable. Takes you out to hunt for bugs and tucks you in a night with a story

I think Zooble would find kids annoying, but they're not going to go out of their way to be mean to a kid. Think tired older sibling with attitude. Now when zooble finds out you look up to them, it gives them pause. Them? AITA for joining a "cult" that thinks my sister and mom are Darkfriends?
First, some backstory. I (30m) have always been an outsider in my family. It wasn't anything to do with my parents - dad (dead) always spent all his time with me instead of my younger siblings, and (step)mom (43f) always gave me extra attention compared to her bio kids because she didn't want me to feel neglected - or with my brother (21m), who's always looked up to me. It was all because of my sister (19f). She's hated and bullied me ever since she was a toddler, and I have no idea why. I guess maybe she doesn't think I'm her real brother, or blames me for telling on her whenever she did irresponsible things like climb trees and talk to strangers. All I've ever done is try to keep her safe, but she's never appreciated it.
Anyway, there's this organization (my sister claims it's a cult, though I don't think that's fair) that's dedicated to serving the Light. My mom always hated them and kept them banned from our country because she thinks they have an agenda against women who can channel, and she's one herself, as is my sister. I used to believe her, but after reading one book written by the organization's founder, I realized that my mom has a totally biased view of them and they're actually doing really important work founded on admirable principles. So when my sister went missing at the hands of women who can channel, I decided I'd had enough of those women lying to everyone all the time and I joined this organization.
I did have my view of them shaken when I found out my mom had been kidnapped, abused, and murdered by one of their leaders (turns out she's actually still alive though, don't worry about that), but I challenged that leader to an honorable duel and killed him to avenge my mom, and my friends and I rooted out a handful of other corrupt members of the organization, so now with that small minority gone, the rest of us can continue doing the Light's work and spreading awareness of the evils of the One Power.
To be clear, I OBVIOUSLY don't think my sister and mom are Darkfriends; it's only everyone else who uses the One Power who is. I've explained this to my sister multiple times but it only makes her angrier instead of grateful that I'm making an exception for her and choosing to believe the best of her. It feels like I can never do anything right in her eyes, but maybe I've somehow got the wrong understanding of the situation. So, AITA?

Look at them just stealing the show with their entrance (yes this post is to ramble about the recent chapters, get ready for a unhinged ride on the "Found family trope" rollercoaster).
People are like "Why are the best healer in the world and the guy that's always compared to Kayden here???" and they're just chilling being relatable, especially Kartein.
Them gathering around Jiwoo, not even trying to hide that they care about him. Like I would have expected Pluton to at least take a little distance and maybe judge Kayden and Kartein for being so close to him but he's just "Yes, I must stay close to this child."
Kayden and Kartein are so parent coded while Pluton is the socially unaware uncle that's just so out of it while taking in the practical aspects. He would absolutely teach Jiwoo how to properly stretch while Kayden and Kartein tell him to stop being so nice to everyone.
"Look at my son! ...proud is not the word I'm looking for" moment. Of course they're all super proud of Jiwoo. They can't stand the fact that he doesn't take advantage of the situation and has these moral/honor standards, but without that he would have never charmed these guys let's be for real now.
THEY'RE SO FAMILY CODED PLEASE JUDGING OTHER FAMILIES LIKE THEY'RE NOT A BUNCH OF LUNATICS THEMSELVES
The way Kayden leans towards Kartein like they're gossiping while Pluton listens in and gives his input to the convo, please they're a bunch of mothers talking shit about the other families at school.
The way they criticise Ian's education is the most parental thing I've ever seen.
The whole chapter was just Kartein being the sassy mother that worries about other kids disrespecting his, Kayden being the unhinged father that gossips and asks "Did you win?" whenever his kid gets into a fight at school, and Pluton the judging uncle that criticises his brother's parenting but joins sides with him when there are other parents.
Tell me that's not their dynamic.
Pluton always compared to Kayden and their "rivalry" being actually one sided is just so adult siblings coded, then Pluton going to Jiwoo like "Hey I'll show you something cool your dad hasn't taught you" is just uncle behaviour.
Kartein and Kayden not approving of Pluton doing what he wants and then realising they did the exact same thing is such a parent thing.
One thing is "They're such parental figures to Jiwoo", one is when they literally act like his parents even around other people.

They made an alliance to bully jimmy solidarity gaming they made a ravine and a vault castle just to bully jimmy and they kill each other (in a good way) but then they kill each other (in a bad way) but everything turned out okay in the end after betrayals and angst scenes. Oh where do I START? These three were the original Wither Rose Alliance before Pearl joined them, but even then they already had SO MUCH found family energy. While Gem and Fwhip are canonically siblings, many like to headcanon that Sausage is also related to them - and for a good reason! He has that annoying younger brother vibe; meanwhile, Gem is the Tired older sister and Fwhip is the middle child who loves chaos. They can all be pretty funny and/or deep on their own, but when together, I swear the three of them bring the best AND worst out of each other. For pranks, for lore, for builds, for fights or even just for a very entertaining conversation. They hate each other, they love each other, they were more distraught than ever when their alliance was broken, they spent their last day before the apocalypse together and they can fit so much angst and silly shenanigans inside of them, I had to literally join a server purely dedicated to talking about the Wither Rose Alliance. I could spend hours talking about why they're The Trio Of All Time, but I'll leave it here <3

THE acolytes found you rather interesting actually, beyond the fact that you were obviously their creator, they still happened to find the way you seemingly could buy about everything interesting.
Your mora seemed to never run out, almost as if you had an infinite amount of it. And, your device never lagged somehow.
You were always on new devices, they were sure. Each and every able to run the game faster than the last. And, well, once they got access to your camera and were able to see even a glimpse of you, they understood why.
They were barely able to see half of your room, it was well lit and actually,, seemed rather luxurious. Now, the acolytes weren't stupid. Surely, they now knew that you weren't anywhere near poor, instead they assumed your wealth was above average, if not, insanely high.
Panics, since your wealth is beyond average, that means your used to luxuries. Whatever will they do if you dislike their offerings or deem them as too cheap for your liking once you descend?? Oh, this is a disaster!

Someone with taste, at last! A challenge is always nice, but don't you worry for they will sacrifice treasures from all over teyvat for you. Handmade trinkets you can't ever find anywhere outside of teyvat, pretty hidden gems that sparkle and shine brighter than the sun itself.

Some people just, don't want to be spending millions of mora for a small piece of jewelry.
