I was tagged by @georgeromeros (thank you!) to post   ✨ 9 favorite films that I watched (for the first time) in 2022 ✨
I didn’t watch a lot of movies last year, if I count out re-watches of movies I already liked. However, when I did watch new (for me) movies I came across some pretty good ones, at least in my opinion. No surprise in seeing it’s all horror in a way or the other.
I’m tagging anyone that sees this and wants to do this! It’s fun

USA🇺🇸 🎥The film Mephisto Waltz (1971) dir. Wendkos. Starring Alan Alda and Jacqueline Bisset, Barbara Parkins & Curd Jürgens.
Tumblr media
🤔Mmm, let's see. What would I choose from a country where at least hundreds of witch films have been produced? Well, of course, one of my own favorites, which I come back to again and again.🤗
Tumblr media
Synopsis: ”An old, dying Satan worshipper arranges to transfer his soul into the body of a young concert pianist.”
Tumblr media
The plot was copied in to the modern movie Skeleton Key, that I also liked.🗝
Tumblr media
📚Everyone knows Levin’s and Polanski’s, Rosemary’s Baby. Author Fred Mustard Stewart was accused of imitating it, but I would say that all the stories has already been told.
Tumblr media
This film is much more original than many others, and it doesn’t play Hollywood clichés like hundreds of other films. Only cliché is the Evil Capitalism but what is the point to serve Satan if you are poor 😈 I think the Devils Advocate (1997) owes a lot to this too.
Tumblr media
🎹MW combines the wonderful piano music of Franz Liszt and the Satan's Schemes. The film is missing from almost all the books that deal with witch movies and horror. It is mentioned in the British “The Satanic Screen” by Schreck. Immediately after the movie was released, of course, there have been films that took the attention, Omen (with Jerry Godlsmith’s music as here) and the Exorcist. Both one of the best movies.🎼
Tumblr media
👄This is very simple movie but it gets right to the point of witchcraft, getting what you desire. Surprisingly this movie does not have any religious good guys. I love the decoration in the Ely’s & Roxanne’s house and their party’s.
Tumblr media
The spells are read in French (not Latin as some critic claimed) which is a great detail.
I would sell my soul to play piano like that🙂
Tumblr media
Pure gold for me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Film @ THE SKELETON KEY
The main story of the film revolves around a nurse. Nursing is a profession that requires a lot of endurance. Selina used to work at a hospital where someone would die every day. Witnessing someone dying in front of her eyes was not an easy thing to deal with. Seeing all of this in her own work-life, one day she became exhausted and quit her job. She was looking for a job in general services. One…

1.3k words of the author bullying blaise zabini just for the plot (Chapter Three of The Doll) — slytherin boys x gn! ‘the boy’ (2016)! reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Requests open
tws: dolls, obviously; reader referred to as ‘it’ (presumed inanimate); mentions of past child character death(s); mentions of a house fire—implied arson; violence; & murder
based entirely off of the 2016 film ‘the boy’. the painting? dear jesus fuck. that’s my trauma. watching that scene when i was like, thirteen.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Without further ado, Blaise snatches up the fucking doll, stomping upstairs with the doll carelessly dangling by one porcelain arm. Reaching Y/N’s bedroom (of course the freaky doll has its own bedroom, why wouldn’t it?), Blaise opens the door with much more force than necessary. He pauses in the doorway, taking in the room that the L/Ns had so carefully decorated—as if it were an actual child’s room—with brightly colored bedsheets, cartoon animals painted on the walls, and toys scattered everywhere.
He aggressively chucks the doll onto the rocking chair in the corner, (“The reading chair,” the L/Ns had cooed. “Y/N just loves when we read them bedtime stories”), and shuts the door as he leaves, digging through his pockets for the skeleton key the L/Ns had left the boys and locking the door with a resounding clack!
Letting out a breath he didn’t know he was holding, he tries to calm his racing heart. Drawing the key back out of the lock and tucking it away safely, he makes his way back downstairs on shaky legs.
He pointedly looks down at the floor as he passes the painting of the L/Ns.
Returning to the living room, his friends stare at him with wildly curious expressions.
“You okay, man?” Draco asks slowly, tilting his head.
“You guys aren’t getting popcorn tonight,” Blaise says with finality, his voice cracking on the last word. Blaise Zabini is not the kind of person to waver while speaking.
The boys don’t press the issue.
They instead scoot over, making room for him to join their blanket pile on the floor as they start the movie. Once he’s settled in, Blaise focuses on watching Cady Heron fumble her way through high school and tries to push the fuckery with the doll out of his mind.
~~~ Passing through the main narrow hallway, Blaise precariously carries a stack of antique books, liable to disintegrate at just the wrong glance. The rain is still going strong, a sudden clap of thunder causing the hallway’s oil lamps to splutter feebly. Cursing under his breath, Blaise sets the books on a decorative hall table and fumbles through his pockets for a lighter. Just in time, another crack of thunder seems to shake the whole house, the lamps giving off one last sad spark of light before giving up entirely.
His thumb slips against the flint wheel a few times before the lighter finally flickers, a flame catching on the wick. The tiny pinprick of light in the otherwise murky and oppressive hallway does nothing to light up Blaise’s surroundings. Moving the lighter around slowly, so as not to accidentally catch anything in the old house on fire, he slowly makes his way down the hall, immediately banging his hip on a console table.
Cursing again, Blaise swings the lighter around, looking for any more furniture boobytraps attempting to further maim him.
Then, a soft sound could be heard.
Blaise freezes, his breath catching in his throat.
It’s the unmistakable sound of a child crying.
Holding the lighter out in front of him like a weapon, Blaise takes a hesitant step down the hall towards the sound. The flame of his lighter then glints off of something hanging on the wall, a very large glossy wooden picture frame.
It’s the damn painting.
Frozen in place, Blaise can’t do anything but stare up at the imposing painting in terror. In the meager light, the L/Ns faces all look demonic and twisted.
The sobbing gets louder, closer.
He glances down the hall towards the sound, his heart pounding in his chest, before glancing back at the painting.
A hand shoots out from the canvas and seizes him around the throat, sharp nails digging into his flesh and squeezing squeezing squeezing-
~~~
Blaise wakes up in a cold sweat. Heart practically beating out of his chest, he breathes heavily, every one of his senses on overdrive, screaming at him to get out of there.
The clock on the TV stand glows a comforting green, whispering the time as an early five in the morning. The sun has only just begun to break over the horizon, gentle morning rays leaking through the decorative bits of stained glass at the top of each of the windows and casting warm shades of colors over the ceiling.
Mattheo lays stretched out next to him, dead asleep and hogging all of the blankets. Enzo and Draco fell asleep on each other, in a way that looks terribly uncomfortable. Theo is sprawled out across all of them, his head on Blaise’s knee and half of his body sandwiched between him and Mattheo. They must’ve fallen asleep before the movie ended, because the little DVD logo box slowly bounces across the screen, avoiding the corners like the plague.
Blaise scrubs his hands over his face, looking around the inviting and entirely non-threatening room. Really, the house is rather cute, in its own charming way. Like how a grandparent’s house is always tacky and poorly decorated, yet still perfect and homey nonetheless.
Knowing there was no way he’d be able to fall back asleep, Blaise carefully moves Theo’s head onto a blanket, sliding out of the group pile and standing up. His knees snap crackle and pop as he grunts to himself, shuffling to the kitchen to start a pot of coffee.
The kitchen is even cuter in the sunlight, with pale gingham curtains framing the window above the sink and cross-stitch frames dotting the walls. As he flicks the start lever on the coffee pot, he takes the opportunity to look around the room. Tacky linoleum floors? Check. Kitchen towels with embroidered kitschy sayings? Check. Live laugh and fucking love, everybody.
Blaise leans against the counter on his forearms, listening to the coffee pot hum. Taped onto one of the kitchen cabinets in front of him is a faded polaroid of a family in the outdoors, the woman and man grinning widely at the camera while the young child in the foreground appears to be mid-laugh, clinging to their father. The scrawled handwriting at the bottom describes the photo as ‘Y/N’s 9th birthday at the lake!’
Blaise’s eyebrows shoot up as he looks over the photo again. He hadn’t recognized them immediately, but sure enough, the woman and man in the photograph are the L/Ns. They look so much younger and happier in the polaroid, the weight of life having yet to set in.
Caught up in his thoughts, Blaise barely notices when the coffee pot dings to let him know that it’s done. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he pulls down a few mugs for him and the rest of the boys. He glances down curiously when the coffee pot continues to hum.
His brow furrows as he taps at the machine with a fingernail. The coffee maker splutters indignantly and beeps again, then goes silent.
But the hum continues.
Abandoning his quest for caffeine, he peeks out into the hall, wondering if one of his friends had woken up. He peers into the entrance of the living room from the kitchen doorway; he can see the still-bouncing logo on the otherwise mute TV, and his four friends still sprawled out on top of all of the blankets.
But the hum continues.
He steps a little further out into the hall. He can now hear distinctly that the sound is coming from upstairs. Looking back at his abandoned mug on the counter forlornly—and mentally cursing himself for being insatiable in his curiosity—Blaise slowly starts up the stairs.
Once he reaches the top floor, the sound grows louder. It’s clearer now too. Blaise can tell that it’s not a hum.
It’s a child’s sobs.
Eyes widening, his gaze immediately latches onto the door of Y/N’s bedroom.
Surely not.
Holding the skeleton key retrieved from his pocket between shaking fingers, he slides it into the lock and twists, the door slowly creaking open.
The doll is still sitting in the chair, exactly as he left it.
He sighs in relief.
It’s a doll, dumbass. You’re just being paranoid. The war just left you on edge, that’s all.
He turns to leave, to go back downstairs and enjoy his coffee, when something catches his eye.
The doll is crying.
A single tear tracks down its face, hanging still for a moment before dripping off of its porcelain chin.
Blaise stumbles backwards, dropping the key with a clatter. He tugs the neckline of his shirt down frantically, feeling the phantom hand from his dream wrapping around his throat once more. He could swear he feels those damn nails again, slicing into his skin.
Watching the doll with bated breath and terror-stricken eyes, Blaise waits a long moment before another tear runs down its face, running down the bridge of its nose from its forehead.
Wait.
Forehead?
Blaise slowly looks up at the ceiling, a bit convinced that if he looks away from the doll for too long, it’ll lunge. He releases the breath he’s holding when he sees that the ceiling has a leak, rainwater from last night’s storm dripping down. Down from the seam of where the shut tight pull-down ladder to what must be the attic—or some kind of storage space—meets the rest of the ceiling.
It’s just an old house. There’s no crying dolls, no monstrous paintings. Just a wacky old house with wacky old owners.
Yep. That’s all.

Do you have any movie recs that feature religious imagery and themes that aren't Christian? I feel like 99.9% of religious horror films or books I've seen have been based on Christianity. Don't get me wrong, I really like a lot of those films, but I recently read Unbearable Maze by Junji Ito, and it got me thinking about how I can't name a religious horror film that's based around another religion. I'm sure there are a lot out there, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.
the offering and the vigil, the golem are about judaism, serpent and the rainbow and skeleton key are voodoo, ringu somewhat uses the religion shinto for her backdrop of her birth, as does noroi, tumbbad and it lives inside are hindu, and the medium is buddist ! just a small list but there’s a lot more

I honestly liked ruby a lot before. How she was so full of hope and all, then the character development she got after finding gorou's body. Even the recent part where she says she won't be like Ai and won't give up on her friends. But I think all the incest and related part ruins her character and reduces her to a simp. At least show some depth in it tho😭 like before whenever ruby talked about gorou that felt impactful. Man i miss the old ruby.
YEAH!!! This is pretty much exactly my issue as well. I know something a lot of folks have criticized about the story pre-Mainstay is that Ruby lacks development but TBH, I never really felt like Old!Ruby was a character who needed a more active arc in the way characters like Aqua and Kana did. She definitely had some Big Overhanging Issues dangling above her head that she was going to have to address eventually but on a moment to moment basis, Ruby was doing really well. She functioned best as a sort of guiding star for the characters around her, pulling them along through the force of her own positive energy and personality.
A big part of this is simply that a lot of the things that made Sarina's life miserable are not actually issues for Ruby anymore. She's healthy, she's surrounded by family and friends who love and support her, she's getting to pursue her dream and even has a pretty healthy relationship with her memories of and grief for Ai. That's not to say her history as Sarina has no effect on her, of course: her bull-headed stubbornness and willingness to charge on into things no questions asked comes specifically and explicitly from the ways she was disempowered and lacking agency in her past life and moments like her getting upset about Aqua no longer eating dinner with them on Sundays during the LoveNow filming pretty clearly stem from her issues with abandonment and lacking familial care. But her environment and the support system she has as Ruby very clearly did a lot to help her organically heal and start moving on.
New!Ruby really feels like a retcon in that regard, like Akasaka suddenly scrabbled to go "oh actually Ruby was ALWAYS secretly fucked up!!!!" for the sake of drama and ramped everything about her up to an 11 to try and convey this but the end result ultimately just feels inconsistent. I know I link this post basically every time I talk about Ruby these days, but @all-of-her-light's Ruby and the Unplayed Role essay really is the best at breaking down all these differences and inconsistencies and why it is they feel so jarring. But one of the things that stands out to me is the ramping up of the intensity of her feelings for Gorou.
Some of this makes perfect sense within the context of the narrative; finding his DESSICATED FUCKING SKELETON jesus CHRIST and realising he'd been murdered by the very same person who killed her beloved mother absolutely makes sense as the impetus for her feelings to go into overdrive. But as of the Mainstay arc onwards, we have continually gotten backfill that implies she has always been operating on this level of intensity, elevating Gorou to a position of importance in her life that matches or even exceeds Ai to a degree that feels retconny.
Actually, now that I've articulated that, I think that key difference is the core of what makes Old and New Ruby feel so split to me. Old Ruby absolutely still adored and deeply valued Gorou and wanted to be reunited with him, but she was nowhere near as emotionally dependant on the idea of him as New Ruby seems to be. Old Ruby was characterized much more strongly in relation to Ai, both in the sense of love for her as her mother and her legacy as an idol and while this is still true to a degree for New Ruby, the manga frames Gorou as being just as if not more important than Ai as a factor in Ruby's motivations for becoming an idol, when it really hadn't been framed that way prior to a certain point in the manga.
Ultimately, it's just kind of frustrating. Like you, I really loved Old Ruby and I think New Ruby is just kind of a flanderized and flattened version of her - though the story pays some lip service to her uglier and more complicated emotions, the story's failure to genuinely and seriously interrogate them and its consistency in reducing her to a gag character just makes her feel so much less lively and interesting that Old Ruby, even if Old Ruby was (at least on paper) a much more simple character. It really feels like the last time the story genuinely took Ruby seriously was prior to 123 when we were getting teased with the idea of her meeting Marina again but that thread has since been completely dropped and I'll be shocked if it gets so much as mentioned again.

“On January 4, Jayne (wearing a leopard-skin cape, hat and muff) told Louella Parsons, “We are going to have a very quiet wedding and then we’ll fly to Dallas where my mother plans to give a reception for our friends there.” Then everyone had a good laugh and went to work on the real plans. The happy couple held another press event, showing off her ring and trousseau. They sent out one hundred invitations (on pink paper, of course). “This is one time I don’t want a lot of publicity,” Jayne unconvincingly told the assembled reporters and cameramen. (“It just happens that most of her friends are newspapermen,” said Jim Byron). Jayne and Mickey chose January 13 for the wedding date, “because Mickey and I met on the 13th. He won the Mr. Universe contest on the 13th and got his American citizenship on the 13th. I just love that number.” Jayne added, “I’m so happy. We’re both on a pink cloud.” Jayne picked the Wayfarer’s Chapel in Palos Verdes for the wedding – designed by Lloyd Wright (son of Frank Lloyd Wright) in the 1940s, it was a modernistic glass and wood building that looked like the skeleton of a church. Glass was the key factor here: people who couldn’t get into the wedding could still see it – and photograph it. The only concern being would they crash through the walls in a disaster of blood and shards? “I want the ceremony to be serious and serene,” Jayne reiterated. “It’s going to be entirely free of photographers. Except maybe just one, from the studio. Well, I don’t suppose I can keep the photographers away if they want to come.” Andrew Carthew of the Daily Herald wrote that Jayne described the wedding, “with some slight irreverence, as the Greatest Publicity Stunt in History.”
/ From the 2021 biography Jayne Mansfield: The Girl Couldn’t Help It by Eve Golden /
On this day 66 years ago (13 January 1958), quintessential show business couple Jayne Mansfield and Miklós "Mickey" Hargitay married. Their tumultuous on-and-off relationship would play out within the flashbulbs of international paparazzi. They would have three children together, perform together on film and onstage in Las Vegas, ultimately divorcing in 1964. (Mansfield would die in 1967, Hargitay in 2006).

On August 23rd 1913 work began on the rebuilding of Eilean Donan Castle.
It’s hard to imagine that before the restoration took place the castle was an oft ignored ruin on the way north to catch the ferry at Kyle of Lochalsh over to Skye.
Eilean Donan owes its appearance to an almost total rebuilding, over the years the castle had taken on many shapes and sizes until 1719 when Spanish soldiers, in support of the Jacobites, stored gunpowder within its vaults.
The government sent 3 warships to batter the castle into submission. This had absolutely no effect until a landing party forced surrender. The gunpowder proved too good a temptation and it was fired taking the castle with it.
Eilean Donan lay a shattered ruin until 1911 when it underwent an ‘imaginative’ restoration over a period of 20 years. This is probably the most iconic castle in Scotland, the backdrop to numerous films and friend of the shortbread industry.
Large segments of the castle’s skeleton remained standing, providing just a whispered hint of its former appearance. But it’s legend runs strong among local clans, and the ruin was purchased in 1911 by Lt Colonel John Macrae-Gilstrap with an ancestral connection and a dream to own the keys to a castle. Noted architect George Mackie Watson led the 20-year reconstruction project that followed, with able assistance from a local stone mason and carpenter. The new castle incorporated as much of the original stone fabric as possible and used new stone from the same local quarries as their medieval predecessors.
With no known plans or written accounts of the original architecture to guide them, planners based the rebuild on a range of sources, including a layout that appeared in a dream to one of the principals. Later, when a fairly detailed castle diagram was discovered, the new look turned out to be a pretty close approximation of what stood before. Eilean Donan was primarily used as a private residence before opening some of its rooms to the public in the 1950s.
Pics show the castle as it was before restoration, and how it now looks.

as a philip k dick adaptation, total recall (1990) has the most adequate of all worlds. whereas blade runner (1982) exemplifies the neo-noir sensibilities of dick’s novels, a scanner darkly (2006) their reality-bending and themes of drug abuse and addiction, and minority report (2002) their dense social commentary, this film—although retaining traces of all those themes in the narrative—chooses to shift the focus away from those and toward late-twentieth-century sci-fi sex and action. i would describe the whole effect as a more narratively substantive the fifth element (1997), with the two films sharing many elements of their narrative skeleton; however, a key difference lies in the fifth element (1997)’s distinctive and hugely ambitious visual style, matching or exceeding that of blade runner (1982) in its depth and memorability. there are definitely visuals in this film that deserve commendation, both in terms of vast sets, excellent if understated costumes, prosthetics, and practical effects; everything the film sets out to do, it accomplishes fully. even arnold schwarzenegger’s dramatic acting carries the character without relying too much on his muscles, and michael ironside puts on a stunning show even in his supporting role. all of these things were very enjoyable, but when laid side-by-side with the other films this film shares intertextual links with, its tendency to play it safe becomes very obvious. philip k dick is a dense and distinctive writer, whose stories have many notable features, and total recall (1990) declines to commit to any one of them, without bringing much of anything else to the table; although the final effect is by no means bad, it does smack of loss and invites the question of what, under bolder artistic hands, might have been

Ideas for Villainous Characters for your Yuusona / Ocs in Twisted Wonderland
To help fanfic writers and artists, I thought I’d make a list of characters/items that creators could use to make their own twst characters. Feel encouraged to add if you have any ideas as well! The bigger the list, the better!
These are all things that present a challenge to the heroes in the Disney films or are connected to an antagonistic force, such as the poison apple being connected to the Evil Queen, or are just shown in a wicked light, such as the vultures from the same movie who just follow the queen looking devious.
Below are things that feature from some of the other animated movies that aren't featured in the main story line. (Not all the movies but I'll get to them.)
Live action, games, and etc. will get their own list eventually.
Peter Pan:
*Captain Hook
*Smee
*Any of the other Pirates
*Tik-Tok the Crocodile (debatable)
*The Mermaids (They literally said their intentions were to DROWN Wendy when they first meet her. I'm counting them)
*Tinkerbell (Debatable, but considering she tricked her friends into trying to murder a child, then betrayed her friends to vicious pirates with the only price being not to harm PETER, I’m counting her here. And--even though she “redeems” herself and is labeled a “hero”--she’s primarily an antagonistic force towards Wendy throughout the movie.)
The Indians (Again, debatable, but they were going to kill a bunch of kids)
The Jungle Book:
*Shere Khan
*Kaa
*King Louie (debatable)
*Louie’s monkeys
Sword in the Stone:
*Mad Madam Mim
*The pike fish
*The hawk
*The wolf
Cinderella:
*Drizzella
*Anastasia
*The Key Tremaine uses to lock Cinderella away
*The clock which awoke Cinderella from her dreams and ticked down to end the spell
Pinocchio:
*The Coachman
*Stromboli
*Lampwick (debatable)
*Monstro (Note: This is the name of Azul’s lounge)
*Pleasure Island itself (Note: stated to be a location in the Playful Land Event. However, I argue this as that was NOT Pleasure Island. Pleasure Island was a place that tempted you to be your worst and then cursed you for it. Playful Land just had you drop your guard and use rules against you. It’s basically just a Disney remake.)
The Black Cauldron:
*The Horned King
*The Black Cauldron
*The Wyrms
*The Witches
*Goblin Dude
*The skeleton warriors
Robin Hood:
*Prince John
*Hiss
*The Sheriff of Nottingham
Beauty & The Beast:
*The Enchantress (debatable)
*Leboff
*The Asylum Doctor
*The Wolves
*The Rose that counts down how long The Beast has to fall in love (Debatable)
Mulan:
*Shaun Yu
*The Falcon
*The Huns
*The Avalanche (debatable)
Pocahontas (no connection to history, please):
*Radcliff
*The “drums” of war
*The settlers (debatable in the film)
*Kokocum (debatable)
The Hunchback of Notre Dame:
*The Flames from Hellfire
*The Robed Figures
*Clopin and the Romani People (debatable. They did try to hang the heroes, after all.)
Nightmare Before Christmas:
*Oogie Boogie
*Jack Skellinton (Debatable)
*The Trick or Treaters
*The Doctor
*The creepy doll
*Snake that ate the Christmas Tree
*Oogie’s bugs

serial killer analyses 🕷 vedic astrology
richard ramirez (the night stalker) 28/02/60 2:07am el paso, texas
Tumblr media
jyeshta ascendant, uttarabhadprada moon, mars-venus conjunct in shravana 3rd house
ascendant usually denotes basic personality & themes of life is seen by nakshatra. jyeshta nakshatra is a karaka of occult, ascendant in jyeshta gives reason for ramirez to be a self proclaimed satanist and claiming satanism to be a stabilising force in his life. moon in uttara bhadrapada further reinforces this as it is a karaka of occult and magic, and in some cases the mind expands past reality into realms of fantasy. mars-venus conjunct in shravana 3rd house ~ mars conjunct venus most likely explains why he attracted so many ‘fangirls’ following his arrest, writing him letters in prison (3rd house indicates communication & letters). also 3rd house represents communities & immediate environment, shravana is the karaka of walking, footsteps & listening carefully, mars in the case of a serial killer represents acts of violence. i think this is interesting as ramirez’s shoe prints were found at a numerous amount of his crime scenes, this was the most significant key linking factor of evidence for police investigation prior to eventually identifying & arresting ramirez
ted bundy 24/11/46 10:35pm burlington, vermont
Tumblr media
magha ascendant, moon-ketu-mars conjunct in jyeshta 4th house, sun-mercury-venus conjunct in anurdha 4th house, rahu in rohini 10th house
magha ascendant people usually are prideful and receive lots of recognition throughout life. additionally bundy’s 1st house lord (sun), is conjunct venus and mercury representing charisma and intelligence. this is gives reason to how his horrific criminal profile was heavily romanticised by popular media, inspiring many novels and films. alongside his “charming” & “intelligent” aura in trial which attracted a mass of public attention. rahu in rohini in the 10th house ~ the 10th house represents what one wishes & what one does in life, rahu represents immoral acts, deception, imprisonment, insatiable desires & pleasure seeking, rohini is the karaka of blushing women, fertile women & arousal. this gives reason to why ted bundy targeted specifically young & ‘fertile’ women as the object of his insatiable desires to commit such horrific acts. moon-ketu-mars in jyeshta ~ stereotypically this conjunction denotes emotional & internal issues, especially being in scorpio where moon is debilitated, this is a badly inflicted placement for moon. ketu-mars conjunct represents aggression and explosive acts of violence (when negatively inflicted), being conjunct with moon is very telling of someone with a “mindset of a serial killer”, emotionally (moon ~ mindset & emotions) desensitised (ketu ~  lack of attachment or care) to acting out in horrific ways (mars ~ violent acts)
jeffrey dahmer (milwaukee cannibal) 21/05/60 4:34pm milwaukee, wisconsin
Tumblr media
moon in revati 7th house, venus in krittika in 8th house
revati moon ~ like uttara bharapada the mind usually expands past reality and into realms of fantasy, this is due to revati being the last nakshatra & uttara bhadrapada the second last, both in pisces. venus in krittika 8th house ~ 8th house represents sexuality, secrets, death & addictions, venus represents love & beauty, krittika is a karaka of sharp objects like knives, cutting, cooking & eating. the story of dahmer was that he would lure men he found beautiful & sexually attractive to his apartment in order to commit his crimes, he also would eat & keep their skeletons as he said he wanted to feel closer to his “love interests”.
david berkowitz (the son of sam) 01/06/53 4:52pm brooklyn, new york

mercury-mars conjunct in mrigasira 8th house
mercury-mars conjunct mrigasira 8th house ~ one notable aspect of berkowitz’s case is that he would leave anonymous hand written letters beside his victims, eluding & taunting investigators as they were unable to catch him & describing himself as a monster. mercury represents letters & communication, mars again represents acts of violence in a serial killer’s chart, 8th house represents death, secrets & addictions, mrigasira is a karaka of searching, sensing & blending in with the crowd. a deer head is the symbol of mrigasira, deers strategically blend in with the herd & are innately cautious to not leave their scent in order to avoid predation. mrigasira is actually a soft & gentle natured nakshatra however malefic planets like mars can cause an inability to be soft or gentle
ღ this is based off my personal observations and research. the astrological placements do not solely or inherently indicate one will commit criminal acts, i’m just interpreting placements i find in their charts ღ
