#SASUKE GETS ADOPTED AND NEVER HURTS ITACHI

Sharing the sharingan:
Itachi being like “huh, what? You just told me to kill all the Uchiha’s Mr.Danzo. And this piece of paper clearly says that man is NOT an Uchiha. You’d think the shadow hokage would know how to fucking read.”
What to do when your teammate uses you to commit suicide (a self help guide for the lost, confused, and used)
the book is blank because hey it’s a first for me too kid.
An Uchiha who turns to love rather than hate.
Them taking care of Sakumo’s body and cleaning the blood off kakashi :’(
ACE/ARO REP BITCHESSSSS
Kakshi double fisting a weirdly accurate self help book and pure smut while white knuckling his mental health.
Two bros chilling in a one room apartment with a hoard of semi-adopted kids co-writing porn for their little brother’s mental health because they’re not gay
ADHD Hyuga 0-0
Naruto buying Kabuto and scaring him with his teeth cuz he won’t go to any other healer but the Uchiha
“Destroy eyes” pact now including one traumatized dog man
May the lord have mercy on your insignificant soul because I swear to god if I ever see your bitch ass again I will not.
Gordon Uchiha
As much as it hurts to see the light come for his pups he’s so fucking glad they get to live another day, get to break the cycle of the Hatakes (because they are all Hatakes no matter what clans two of them were born into) dying young.
*sniffle*^^^^^
Big Lap Dog problem where the pups grew bigger and Sakumo did not as he is dead, so where two scrawny teenagers and an actual toddler never knocked Sakumo over three ANBU who have long since grown out of the gangliness of youth and have spent years packing on muscle through training very much do.
But you are incredibly correct imagining them as different heights is somehow deeply upsetting and they have to be the exact same height for Reasons
The three friend killers. With phantom blood of enemies and once allies forever staining their hands. The three remaining sharingan users. All of them with a flee on sight status in most bingo books. All of them cuddling in the nearly empty lounge.
The Uchiha: oh yeah…sorry I called you a bitch. The Hyuga: it’s fine. I am a bitch.
So when she knows she can't escape (She was never going to beat them, they have always been better than her no matter how hard she tried) she decides to just.... let their jutsu hit her. To die by her brothers hands is probably the best end she could hope for.
She stands back from the fire at first when the boys finally meet them (too soon. Far too soon) but kakashi spots her in the dark just like he always had. And what chance did she have not to be buried under the weight of her brothers (what were they all eating that they had gotten so damn tall.
one soul in two bodies, the closest someone could be to another person without cracking their chest open to crawl inside (she wondered one day if one of them would. Would take that final step to rejoin their hearts until they were one whole being again.) they had taken different approaches to the hatred
Seeing two Byakugan split between two faces. Knowing that the eyes once called the true heart of a dojutsu user were swapped between the two in actuality.
Sasuke constantly stuck in a game of catch-up he never seems to win. Chasing after distant goals and figures he can barely see, let alone match.
The third teammate in sharing the Sharingan: “But she’s still the outsider, she doesn’t share their strange pack mentality…”. Me: it’s the neurodivergence babe.

Do you have any headcanons regarding modern au shisui?
I hope your knee gets better and have a good day/afternoon/evening/night depending on when you live
I think my knee is a lost cause by now, it has been a pain ever since I was 13/14 🤣 but anyway, I do have hcs for Modern AU Shisui!
Mostly I like to think of him as a university or college dropout, not because he's not smart enough for it, he's definitely far smarter than people give him credit for, but it's simply not what he wants to do
I think he would love to work at the public, I could see him working at a pub or something like that, one of those pubs that are not eccessively big and where the majority of the costumers are usuals. You know the ones with the sort of cozy and familiar vibe to it? Those ones
I also like to imagine Shisui living in a shared apartment with Itachi, and sometimes Sasuke crashes at their place whenever he feels like he needs to take some time away from his parents or if he just wants to hang out to them. After he meets with Naruto and Sakura sometimes they also get dragged at Shisui's apartment for a sleepover, not that Shisui minds, he likes how much more livelier they make the place
I especially like the idea of Shisui being some sort of big brother figure for both Itachi and Sasuke. While I do sometimes enjoy the "Sasuke sees Shisui as a threat to his relationship with Itachi" trope, the idea of Sasuke genuinely seeing Shisui as a big brother is much more appealing to me tbh, it started when Sasuke was very little and Shisui was the only one able to keep him calm and make him fall asleep when Itachi wasn't available, Mikoto ended up unofficially adopted him and started 'paying' for his babysitting with food, and ever since then Shisui has been a part of the family
Shisui loves trekking and will go whenever he has the chance. He also loves spending time with his friends and tending to the small plants that he has around the apartment, most of which are gifts from Tenzō
Despite being a Modern AU, I still like the idea of him having knee problems. He hurt his right knee when he was a teenager and ever since then it gives him little jolts of pain sometimes, or when he's not careful and twists it the wrong way. He's also a bit of a pyromaniac, always having a lighter with him despite not smoking, and his hands are full of mostly faded little burn marks
He's not particularly interested in romance, but he doesn't bother labeling himself because he mostly doesn't care. If he falls in love one day, good. If he never does, good anyway. He has his friends and they're all he needs to be happy. And, of course, I hc him as genderfluid! He goes by he/him most of the time, but sometimes he likes to switch it up depending on how he feels that particular day and has a bunch of cute clothes to wear when he feels particularly cutesy and feminine
I also like to hc him with a very slight dusting of freckles on his shoulders and back and just a little bit of them across his nose and cheeks, small and very light in color
He would probably also be a TikTok kinda guy, he mostly makes short videos about his job at the pub and sometimes shares some cool bartending tricks, which aren't his but Deidara's. Oh, and the pub is definitely a place owned by Nagato, Konan and Yahiko, I just love the idea of Shisui working alongside the Akatsuki and I think he and Deidara would go along like a house on fire, which causes more than one daily headache
Not all of the Akatsuki work at the pub, the place is definitely not big enough to require that many workers and some of them work somewhere else, but even those who have their own job drop by whenever they have time to hang around and have fun together

Omega!Narutoverse Future Family Headcanons
This is a compilation of my headcanons about future families for my favourite Naruto boys (excluding Kakashi who is childfree in my headcanons.)
This is very long, so I’ve put most of it under a cut <3 Enjoy~
Naruto:  : 4 children – Son (omega), adopted daughter (alpha), twin sons (betas).
Tumblr media
Has his son about four years before he becomes Hokage.
His son is a huge daddy’s boy type and clings to Naruto every chance that he gets.
Naruto never lets his role as Hokage take him away from his son any more than absolutely necessary. Does he take his son into his office? Absolutely. He puts down a little play pen on the floor while he works :’).
His son loves cuddles so much and he is so gentle.
He doesn’t like pranks though which makes Naruto a little sad but he would never do anything to make his little one sad.
Male omegas can be identified from birth, so you both knew he was, but even if you didn’t it’s very obvious. He makes his own little nest next to Naruto’s but ends up crawling into Naruto’s for cuddles every time.
As he gets older, he attends the academy, but he hates it so much. He reminds me a little of a young Itachi, a pacifist to the core. He doesn’t want to hurt anyone! He begs you and Naruto to let him attend the civilian school, and of course you let him.
Naruto gets a lot of shit for allowing this from some parties *cough* the council *cough*. The Hokage’s children should be powerful ninjas according to them, but Naruto will always prioritise his children’s happiness. Naruto shields his son from the hate as much as possible, but some slips through.
The transition is easier if you are a civilian, your son feels a little more secure if that’s the case, and he would consider following your footsteps depending on what you do. If you run a little business, he would definitely want to work with you. If you’re also a ninja he can feel left out and unsure, but he grows into such a quietly confident person, who starts a little business.
Not being a ninja also means he can be there for his younger siblings. He is a dedicated older brother who is always there for them. He has a room for each other them at his house and loads of medical supplies for when they come back from missions injured and won’t go to the hospital. He always patches them up.
All his younger siblings respect him so much. He is a very reliable person, and his siblings get so offended if they hear any anti-civilian talk from the ninjas they work with.
When Naruto is about a year into working as Hokage, he goes to visit the orphanage, a place that he reformed hugely as soon as he could. It’s so much nicer than it was and he’s so happy.
But there is one girl that he sees there, and she’s being bullied by some of the other kids. At only three years old, Naruto’s heart breaks for her. Turns out that she’s being teased for being a female alpha. Times have changed a lot, but there are still some horrible stereotypes about male omegas and female alphas, even if those aren’t the norm anymore.
He intervenes and wipes away her tears, uncomfortably reminded of his own stay at the orphanage when he was her age. He wraps up the visit and leaves, but he just can’t get here out of his head.
He’s been wanting another child, but he’s still in a vulnerable position so early into being Hokage that he can’t afford the time off for maternity leave.
Hesitantly, he brings up the idea of adoption to you, when you respond positively, he’s like great 😊, I have one picked already.
It’s only about a fortnight later that you’re picking her up and bringing her home. At first, she is very shy and reserved but when she gets comfortable, you learn that she is the opposite.
She’s very forthright and opinionated, she always says what she feels and stands up for injustice.
Her favourite thing is to come home and tell you and Naruto about her day. She never leaves out any detail and has been known to demand to go and see Naruto while he’s working so that she can tell him about something that happened at school.
Naruto ends up unwillingly up to date with all the academy drama.
She’s quite serious and likes to have grown up conversations and sit at the grown ups table.
She ends up attending the academy and she just thrives on all the history and politics lessons! She great at negotiating and learning about people.
She makes strong friends and has a tight knit friendship group that she keeps all the way to adulthood.
She ends up making Chunin pretty quickly but waits a long while before taking the Jounin exam. She ends up specialising in international relations.
She works as an ambassador for Konoha and gets to travel around all the countries. She adores her job, but she does sometimes miss her family. Naruto gets sad when he sends her for long missions, knowing that he can’t come and see her for that time, but there’s no one he would trust more to act on behalf on Konoha and she always brings back souvenirs for everyone.
The twins are quite a bit younger than the other two. Six years younger than their older sister, and eight years younger than their older brother.
In a better position now, Naruto wants to try for one final child.
Of course, you get twins.
It takes a bit of re-planning, but Naruto is overjoyed at the fact that he’s pregnant with twins! He gives birth to identical twin boys. You can’t tell from birth whether a baby is a male alpha or male beta, and they end up showing signs of being betas when they’re about 12.
These boys are little troublemakers, and Naruto rejoices and finally having some of his children who likes pranks like he does!
They excel at strategy and trap making when they join the academy but the oldest struggles a little with the more academic side.
Naruto is so patient in helping him because he knows what it’s like to be a physical learner in an academic environment.
They are the babies of the family and they get away with everything haha.
When they end up graduating, they are put on the same genin team and they continue to work together for their entire careers. They are similar to Izumo and Kotestu. They know each other so well and both have complimentary skills, so they make a formidable duo on the battlefield.
Naruto hates sending them on dangerous missions though. If they ever didn’t come back, I don’t think Naruto would recover, knowing that he sent them to the place that they died.
These two also definitely take on a genin team when they first get promoted to jounin, and they’re great teachers! I can’t decide if they would have one together, or if they would have one each and compete in ridiculous challenges like whose genin team can get the most d ranks done in one day.
They remind people of Kakashi and Gai in a lot of ways.
Sasuke:  1 child – daughter (beta).
Tumblr media
Sasuke has a daughter in his late twenties, after he’s had some time to deal with his trauma.
He’s undeniably in a better place but he struggles badly with PPD, making the first year very difficult on your family.
Eventually things get better though, and you work together to raise your daughter.
She is wicked smart, very much into scholarly things, but she also loves weapons, particularly any sort of blade. Sasuke teaches her how to use a sword and they bond a lot over it.
She’s pretty quiet and withdrawn, preferring to read a book or practice with her weapons than socialise. Sasuke tries to get her to make more friends but she calls him out on being a hypocrite and he’s so offended that he drops the issue.
She does well in the academy but she lowkey hates going. She likes going more if either you or Sasuke are there to pick her up and walk home with her, she doesn’t like walking home alone because the Uchiha compound is so damn far away and isolated.
When she awakens her sharigan when she’s a chunin, Sasuke has a pretty bad reaction. The sharigan isn’t associated with anything good in his mind, so he freaks out when his daughter activates it. You need to give him some time and support and he’ll come around. He’s the only one who can train her after all.
Sasuke is so proud of his daughter when she makes Jounin, which of course, she does. I could see her taking on a powerful advisory role for the Hokage as a jounin.
She is someone who believes that there is a lot to learn from history, and is a great advisory asset in helping to avoid past mistakes.
Itachi: Canon = none / Non-massacre Au = 2 children. Son (omega), daughter (beta).
Tumblr media
Has a son shortly after you get married.
Itachi is a family man through and through and can’t wait to retire from being a ninja (which he hates) to being able to raise his children full time.
The day Itachi gets moved from the active list to the reserves list after he becomes pregnant is one of the happiest days of his life.
His son is very responsible and serious.
He likes to follow Itachi around and help him clean and cook and run errands. He always tidies up his toys and keeps his room clean, and he almost always behaves respectfully and sensibly.
Itachi never forces him to do too much though, he wants his son to have a fun childhood like he never had.
Itachi is over the moon when his son shows an interest in calligraphy, happy that his son is picking up a healthy hobby.
He buys him all the supplies and gets him a teacher if he wants one. It warms Itachi’s heart to see his son interested in something other than chores for once.
Despite the pressure from the clan for his children to attend the academy, Itachi puts his foot down for one of the first times in his life, saying that his children will only become ninja if they want to.
His son does in fact want to attend the academy.
Itachi kind of wishes he didn’t.
Itachi’s son shows a huge proficiency for fuinjutsu, his calligraphy skills coming in handy. Seeing as the skill is so rare, he becomes one of the leading experts in Konoha.
Itachi is very supportive and lowkey glad that his son is so powerful and can defend himself. Itachi is also very glad that his son can continue with his fuuinjustsu passion long after he retires from being an active ninja.
Itachi hopes that safety net (producing seals for other ninjas and continuing to earn money from his hobby) will mean his son can retire whenever he wants and not have to worry. Rather than becoming stuck in the shinobi lifestyle.
Itachi’s daughter is born five years after his son, an age gap that was larger than he would have liked, but he had a pretty traumatic birth the first time around and he needed to give his body some time to recover.
Itachi puts a lot of emphasis on a loving relationship between his children, and his daughter adores her older brother so much! She follows him around and tries to copy him all the time, and he help her with homework and plays with her.
It makes Itachi very, very happy to see them bond.
Itachi’s daughter is a beta and has everyone wrapped around her finger from the moment she is born.
She’s charming, well spoken, and polite but with a very sarcastic personality.
She has a very similar sense of humour to Itachi actually. A sort of under the breath commentary style. Goodness help anyone who finds themselves opposing Itachi and his daughter.
Academy teachers get put in their place so fast when they join forces, the teachers don’t even know what happened.
As Itachi’s daughter joins the academy, she follows after her uncle and develops fangirls and fanboys… She’s very popular. Very popular.
And she loves it.
Itachi is not as fond.
He is not above staring coldly at children for badgering his beloved daughter.
When she grows up, she works as a ninja, favouring a more jack of all trades kind of style. She likes to learn a little bit of everything.
She’s the same way with relationships too. She never gets married or mated, preferring casual relationships and has no interest in children, she lives her life doing whatever she wants with whoever she wants.
Itachi is very proud of her, and secretly very amused when his clan constantly tries and fails to control her.
Shikamaru: 1 child – daughter (alpha)
Tumblr media
Shikamaru has a child at about 25, and he knew from the get-go that he was a one and done kind of guy.
He’s not a fan at all of the infant stage and does not want to do it more than once.
The Nara clan have a very high proportion of alphas, so Shikamaru kinda expected his child to be one. And lo and behold she was.
His daughter is the spitting image of him in every way. She is the most mellow alpha ever. So much so that most people assume she’s a beta, and she doesn’t really care enough to correct them about it.
She is also very close to her grandparents, who dote on her and spoil her as much as they can.
She excels at school in the same way her father did before her, retaining average marks despite being miles ahead of most of her peers.
Shikamaru teaches her how to play shogi and all about the beauty of napping. She takes to them both like a duck to water. She is so much like Shikamaru that everyone comments on it constantly.
Although, while she loves a good cloud gazing session with her father, she actually takes to creative writing as her favourite hobby. She uses a pseudonym to avoid attention, but she ends up writing a series of books that becomes one of the most popular book series in the shinobi nations.
Shikamaru is so insanely proud that his daughter can have both a successful ninja career and a successful hobby/side career. He brags to anyone who knows her pseudonym constantly, including you and his parents.
He also keeps a set of first edition, signed copies of all her books. He reads them when she’s away on long missions sometimes, as a way of feeling closer to her.
Shikamaru and his daughter remain incredibly close all their lives.
Shino: 1 child – daughter (omega)
Tumblr media
Shino had a child slightly later than most of his friends, at around 34.
Shino’s daughter is a very curious child! She’s quiet and withdrawn around strangers but very talkative with her family and close friends.
Her favourite place to be is on Shino’s lap. And when around strangers, she always hides behind him, or buries her face into his shoulder.
Shino loves to spend time with his daughter outside. He teaches her all about insects and plants, leading her around the woods after when she can still barely walk.
Shibi does the same with her, and those two are very close.
Shino is fiercely protective of his daughter, and never forces her into doing things she isn’t comfortable with. He defends her right to be quiet and clingy, and it takes some convincing to get him to understand that she needs to make friends outside of her immediate family.
When she cries for anything, Shino gives in straight away, as long as she isn’t wanting to do anything extremely dangerous. Because of this, she develops quite the sweet tooth, having had as many cookies as she wanted as a child.
Shino’s daughter ends up teaching at the academy as a career chunin, because despite being shy around adults, she is fantastic with children, very patient and understanding.
Shino is very happy with her choices, because he was a little worried that she would end up scarred from a shinobi career, and he hates any situation in which he can’t protect her.
She has her own children pretty young, and Shino is just a good a grandfather as he is a father.
Neji: 2 children – adopted daughter (beta), adopted son (alpha)
Tumblr media
Neji is about 30 when he decides he wants to try to have a baby.
And he’s 32 when he finally comes to terms with the fact that he isn’t going to be able to conceive naturally because of the suppressant abuse he endured as a child.
Then, tragically, one of the branch members of his clan dies giving birth. Her mate can’t handle the stress and dies shortly afterwards, leaving their two-year-old daughter and newborn son behind.
Dying after a mate dies is not super uncommon but is much rarer in the cases where children are involved, so this exact situation doesn’t happen very often.
His heart breaks for them and he is close to begging you to adopt them with him.
And soon enough you have two children, siblings, and both Hyuugas like Neji.
You would never forget Neji’s face when he held his children for the first time. He would never let them be branded with the seal that has impacted his life so much. He would sooner run away from the clan forever.
Neji’s daughter takes a little while to adjust to her new parents, still distraught and grieving over the loss of her previous parents.
Neji understands and gets her a therapist, but he finds it difficult to watch his child suffer.
The first time she crawled into bed with you and Neji after a nightmare, Neji cried because she was finally starting to trust you both.
Neji’s daughter is a beta and when she recovers from her childhood trauma, she shows her true colours as a limelight lover!
She loves acting and dancing and singing whenever and wherever she can. She plans little plays for you and Neji, sitting you down to perform them for you every weekend. Neji is very proud!
But he doesn’t really know what to do when his daughter says she doesn’t want to be a ninja.
He loves and supports her, of course, but he’s thrown off, not really expecting it.
Eventually, he agrees to send her to a civilian school, and she immediately flourishes there, making so many friends, even starting a little after school performance style club.
Neji is so incredibly proud when she makes it as a famous actress. He lowkey brags constantly to his friends.
“Oh, your child just got promoted to chunin? How lovely. My daughter made more money this year than any chunin will see in their life…” Sips tea.
Neji’s daughter is so glamourous and outgoing and famous, but she never forgets her family, and loves to spoil you, Neji and her younger brother with her money.
Neji’s son doesn’t remember his biological parents and fits into your family seamlessly from day one. As far as he’s concerned, you and Neji are his only parents.
Just like his older sister, this boy is very extroverted, but rather than singing all the time, he talks. He’s the chattiest person you could ever meet.
Introverted Neji isn’t 100% sure about how to parent such extroverted children, he just doesn’t understand that they don’t enjoy too much solitary activity time.
He’s feels a lot better if you’re an extrovert, that way, he can have some alone time to recharge while you handle the children.
If you’re also an introvert… well, let’s hope Hinata was serious about her babysitting offer.
Neji’s son talks to everyone as I already mentioned, and adults think he is the cutest thing ever.
As he grows up, he always helps old people carry their shopping, he helps lost children find their parents, he is basically the alpha every parent dreams of their omega child bringing home.
He’s very charming and Neji is a lot less surprised when his son says he doesn’t want to be a ninja.
Eventually ends up working in the orphanage.
The children adore him so, so much, and he loves his job dearly.
Neji brags about him too.
“Wow, your child got top marks in the academy? My child was hand-making birthday gifts for some children at the orphanage when he was 11. He decided to do it all by himself…” sips more tea.
Whenever she’s in Konoha, his older sister turns up and gives all the kids at the orphanage gifts. She’s like a fun, rich aunt for all of them.
Neither of Neji’s children have children of their own, as they find their respective careers to be the most fulfilling thing for them.
Neji is a very proud father and is happy when his children are happy.
Iruka: None, or 2 children (he’s happy with either) – adopted son (omega), adopted daughter (omega)
Tumblr media
Iruka would be happy with no children because he’s so dedicated to his work and his students, but he also adores children and wouldn’t mind having some of his own. This is an au in which he decides to have children.
He adopts his son at age 27, pretty soon after the war, choosing to adopt an older child who has less of a chance of being adopted.
A six-year-old omega with a bright smile and loud laugh, Iruka is immediately taken with him. The war had left many orphans, and it was hard on Iruka to walk around the orphanage, knowing he couldn’t adopt them all.
Iruka throws as much love as he can as his new son, taking time off work to bond with him properly, making sure to scent him loads and get him used to his new family environment.
Iruka is thrilled when his son shows a knack for pranks.
He plays the disapproving parent in public, but honestly, he loves it, as long as things don’t go too far.
Iruka’s son is a very kind-hearted person, if a little rambunctious, and he also has a huge nesting instinct.
You knew he was an omega when you adopted him, but it was very clear, nonetheless. He has a permanent nest in his room that he likes to chill in with his friends when they come over (he’s very popular with the other kids in his class.).
When he gets a little older, he goes to the academy, walking to and from every day with Iruka, and develops a passion for medicine when he’s a genin.
He has great chakra control and eventually ends up working full time at the hospital as an adult.
He chose a similar path to Iruka, in that he works as a ninja but is primarily based in the village, rarely leaving on missions.
He makes sure to come home for dinner at least once a week after he’s moved out, no matter how busy the hospital gets.
Iruka is so proud that his son is so talented and selfless, that sometimes it makes him tear up.
Iruka knows that he doesn’t want just one child.
When his parents died, he was all alone and it was horrible for him, so he knows he wants to have two children, so that when you and him die, they’re not alone.
Iruka is very ready to adopt again about two years after he adopted his son.
Iruka found the adoption process so rewarding that he wants to do it again over having a biological child.
He adopts a little girl this time, five years old and also an omega. When Iruka was meeting the children, this girl brought him a paper flower that she had folded as a gift and his heart just melted right then and there.
She fits in perfectly to your family, your son adored her immediately!
With three omegas living in your house now, you were very much outnumbered. It was a common occurrence to find yourself missing all your warm clothes, them having been borrowed and buried inside one of the three nests (minimum) nests in your house.
Iruka’s daughter is a gentle soul, but she is also strong. She appears like an easy target because she is soft spoken and reserved but she has a strong sense of justice and always stands up for herself and others.
When she’s young, she likes the idea of going into medicine like her older brother as she admires and looks up to him, but she doesn’t like the realities of the job very much.
She’s great at chakra control, but the idea of wrangling disobedient, injured shinobi doesn’t appeal to her.
Until one day, on her way home from a friend’s house, she finds an injured stray dog. She brings it home and begs you and Iruka to keep him. So, your family of four turns into a family of five, and she becomes obsessed with veterinary medicine.
As an adult, she ends up working at the veterinary clinic in the Inuzuka compound. She is committed to helping as many animals as she can, with a particular soft spot for dogs.
She also joins the rest of her family for dinners at least once a week. Iruka is so overwhelmingly proud that he has two medic children, because he knows how talented you have to be to do that.
He is also very happy that both his children stay mostly within the village. The war made Iruka a little paranoid, and he doesn’t worry so much when his children are safe within the village walls.
Gaara: 2 children – daughter (alpha), son (alpha)
Tumblr media
Gaara has his children the youngest out of everyone his age that he knows. He had his daughter when he had just turned 21, and his son five years later when he was 26.
His daughter is Gaara’s sweetheart.
He adores her so much and spends as much time as he can with her. He is so gentle with her and loving all the time.
Gaara’s daughter is very energetic and playful, but also quite sensitive.
She loves positive attention, loves to play with everyone who will engage with her.
She’s a very family-oriented person and loves spending time with Kankuro and Temari when you and Gaara are busy.
However, because you, Gaara, Temari and Kankuro always treated her so gently, she was quite sensitive to people being angry or shouting at her.
Once, her teacher at school shouted at her for talking in class and she ran straight to the Kazekage’s office crying. Gaara was furious. He hates when his children cry, so much. He let her stay with him for the rest of the day to calm her down, sending you a message to let you know he was looking after her.
Gaara’s daughter visited him constantly, often bringing little lunchboxes of food for him, learning to new recipes constantly.
Trying to surprise him, she develops a great skill in cooking.
She decides, in the end, not to follow the shinobi route. She opens her own restaurant in Suna, charming customers with her amazing hostess skills and phenomenal cooking.
She allows all her family to eat for free, but they all pay anyway, because they love to support her. Gaara, especially, always leaves a huge tip for her and her staff.
Gaara’s son is born five years after his daughter, another alpha, leaving Gaara very outnumbered, with both his siblings, his mate and his children all being alphas.
Gaara’s son is very quiet and tactile.
He loves cuddles and hugs but doesn’t speak very much.
He enjoys spending time with Gaara in Gaara’s nest, despite not having nesting instincts of his own.
Gaara’s son is very close to you and Gaara. He always tells you when something is bothering him, and although he doesn’t speak much, he chooses his words carefully and they always mean something.
He actually excels at shinobi school, both in academics and in sparring, and moves up the ranks quickly. He spends a lot of time training with Kankuro and gets into puppetry.
Even when he becomes a jounin, he spends time with Gaara in his nest, still loving physical affection.
Gaara enjoys hosting family gatherings for everyone, his daughter cooks loads of dishes for it, his son makes sure to take time off missions to attend, and sometimes Temari drags Shikamaru to Suna as well to join them all.
Gaara smiles more often than not now, feeling so proud of the life he crafted for himself, and the family he worked hard to create.
(Phew! That was a lot! I hope you enjoyed, let me know what you thought and send me your own headcanons!!! <3)

Akatsuki dad headcannons? Like what kind of dad would they be like and what daily life is like with y/n as their wife and their lil family?
(I lowkey hate y/n getting prego au's but we shall do this for comedy also sorry for not posting for a bit cause school T-T but now it's break and now im back) NOT INCLUDED KONAN CAUSE U JUST SAID DADS BESTIE IDK IF U WANTED MOMS TO
Tumblr media
Sasori
I have many questions one being, how? Like he is a puppet yk, but let's say you had adopted or something just one thing led to another and you guys now have a kid. Okay, I feel like Sasori would be a very decent dad (although may experiment on your kids if they are human just saying) but he would be so nice other than that. He would do all the things he never got to have as a child with his dad like playing ball, woodworking together, father-child outings just the really sweet stuff. Also fun little extra I feel like if they were puppets he would try so hard to simulate the actual human life experiences for them like taste so they can do things like eat ice cream and feel emotions.
Tumblr media
Hidan
Hidan would be a "cool dad" by that I mean he would teach them all the wrong things. Basically, Hidan as a father to me is like if the Christian conservative dad kept all his ways of putting his beliefs on his kids but as a Jashinist anarchist. So like "NO YOU LITTLE SHITS I TOLD YOU AT LEAST 5 KILLS FOR JASHIN, OR ELSE NO ICE CREAM" It would be hilarious. Also, feel like his only rules would be "worship Jashin, don't die, and always use protection." Other than that he would be the most fun, dad, ever but your kids would never want him to pick them up from school cause all their friends would get a crush on him. He would also just be like a more ruthless Uncle Jesse (from full house) in my opinion.
Tumblr media
Kakuzu
Kakuzu would be the most awful damn dad istg idc what you say. Like okay okay he would be good emotionally but financially those kids gonna be looking broke af for some rich kids. he would also be super protective and shit like you wanna ask his kid out to prom okay "how much?". Mans finna try and make money out them kids. Hell, he may even sell them behind your back. But in all honesty, he would teach them how to save and spend money and raise pretty good kids.
Tumblr media
Itachi
Itachi would be the best dad and I mean that with all my heart (and this is coming from someone who doesn't feel sexually attracted to him at all). Itachi would take your kids on outings, to go get ice cream, amusement parks, festivals, ect. Also he would be like the best at calming them down and helping them thru things like mental breakdowns or just really bad days. And when they are babies he would be so scared to shower them he would activate his sharingan to make sure they don't get hurt. Also he would def get them plushies like tons and a pet cat. Also Sasuke would be an amazing uncle and just spoil them kids rotten.
Tumblr media
Deidara <3
Deidara would be a very awesome father, he would make sure his kids take pride in both his and their own arts. He would love to make their events a "blast" by adding cool fireworks and stuff. He would also be the type to pull pranks on all of you nothing that would hurt you guys ofc but still, it would be really funny. Also, he would blow up the kids' exes' house if needed too. (was the kid in the house when he blew it up no one needs to know <3) He would also take so much pride in his children and show them off like gold.
Tumblr media
Pain
Pain would be a decent father he would be there for his kids when they needed him, however, he would turn them into the biggest edgelords and emos. I'm taking pure my chemical romance fans with no shame. Enough piercings to make a car with the metal, just pure edge. But he would love them to death and take care of them with his life. He would take them to hot topic every week and they would all match too.
Tumblr media
Kisame
Kisame would be another awesome dad. He would be kinda like a beach dad where you would all live near the beach and he would teach the kids how to swim, take them to the ice cream truck on his shoulders and he would also teach them how to swim. Also, I feel like as they are learning he would do that thing where he goes underwater and pulls them under by their feet and then goes back up with them and then just laughs as they just got scared shittless. And they would all go on weekends and clean up the beach and the waters so that the animals there don't get hurt. <3
Tumblr media
Obito <3
Obito would be another god of a dad, he would spoil them kids rotten. He would take them and play all the sports train them, teach them, give them piggy back rides, let them ride on his shoulders, tell them bedtime stories, ect. He would love them and you to death protecting you guys at all costs. Those kids would be going to school in damn uchiha crests and gucci istfg.
Tumblr media
Zetsu
black zetsu
he would eat his damn kids.....
(white Zetsu would be a mix of Sasori and Obito)

Long Lost to the Present
This is Part One of my gift for the Naruto/Boruto exchange! Part Two is about half done, I just wanted to get the bulk out before our deadline. Happy Holidays! @whynoteswhispered
Sasuke mentally checked through his belongings a final time before letting out a small sigh, his mother had been tight lipped about where exactly they would be taking their winter family vacation so if he needed anything, he would just buy it. Truthfully, he was prepared for pretty much any weather they would encounter over the two weeks. The youngest Uchiha zipped the suitcase and set it on the ground, clicking the button to release the handle and grabbing his backpack with his laptop and other electronics to swing over one shoulder. A final glance determined Sasuke had everything he would need and with a barely contained sigh, he made his way down stairs where everyone would meet before loading up and leaving.
"Sasuke! Are you ready dear?" Mikoto asked, passing off her luggage to her husband. "Oh, I can't wait till we get there!"
"I'm ready." Sasuke nodded to his father and brother, taking his turn to load his suitcase into the SUV they rented. "Now if only you would tell us where we are going…"
“So, I was talking with Kushina," dread settled instantly into his stomach at the mention of the redhead, "and we agreed that it has been sometime since we last shared a holiday together and we will be spending our first week with them at Jiraiya’s house in the mountains then continue to our cabin for the other week."
"It has been a while since we’ve seen Minato and Kushina… I wonder if she ever got better at cooking." Fugaku said gruffly, a tiny sliver of humor shone through that statement.
"Hopefully we can see Naruto too, no one is sure what he’s been up to these days." Itachi chimed in, staring none too discreetly at Sasuke.
That statement didn't seem like the Naruto Sasuke knew and for a moment he had to remind himself that they had parted ways years ago. While the blond always said Sasuke was his best friend, the raven was unsure until he changed schools what exactly Naruto meant to him. That first year apart had been hell, every time a notification came through or a phone would ring set him on edge so badly, he withdrew into nothing but music only from his iPod.
"I wouldn't have the slightest idea."
"Ah, that's right." Itachi words caused the younger's feathers to ruffle but before the boy could engage in their passive aggressive argument their mother stepped between them.
"Seven days boys, I do hope I will be bringing home two sons and not leaving any to be adopted by the Namikazes." The warning was very real under her cheerful tone and both of her children backed down, following her and their father out to the car.
Sasuke was dreading this trip now, his dread easily outweighed any excitement he had previously. What was supposed to be a simple holiday trip with his family, including his ever-busy father, was now turning into a nightmare from hell. The raven was sure his elder brother had to have some hand in it. The first family trip in a handful of years and now Sasuke would have to suffer the distracting presence of one Naruto Uzumaki or risk upsetting his mother.
"You don't look excited like I thought you would…" Itachi spoke casually, face showing nothing of his amusement unless you knew how to find the slight look in his eyes.
"What am I supposed to be excited for exactly?”
“Aw, you’re hurting his feelings and we haven’t even left yet. How cruel little brother.”
“Itachi, be nice! Sasuke is finally home and I know while he loves me,” Mikoto smiled brightly and pulled her younger son into a hug, “you being mean is exactly why we cut this from two weeks to just one.”
Sasuke lingered in a half hug from his mother, a feeling of warmth that always accompanied the action sank into his tense form and relaxed the harsh lines. Identical eyes locked into a staring contest for a long moment before their father snorted and drew their attention.
"The drive is a long one, if you can't handle it then you can stay and keep the office in order." He advised, making his point with a glare before entering the car.
"Truce little brother?"
"Hn." This ride was going to be a long one indeed.
The weather seemed suspended, the snow twinkling as the sun was reflected off it and the air mild for this time of year in the mountains. Sasuke tried to remember if he had ever been to Jiraiya’s cabin before but was coming up with nothing but bits of when Naruto had shared his summer adventures.
"Sasuke! How was your summer? I bet it wasn't cooler than mine! Peavy sage and I found this pond and there's these Sakura trees and in the water there's a bunch of tadpoles! We had to keep cleaning out the petals, I feel like my back has aged twenty years."
He had to rouse himself from memory lane as they pulled up the long drive. The logs were well kept and the cabin seemed quite spacious, hopefully it would be easier to avoid a certain blond. There were various trees in bloom or dormancy, nothing like the well-kept grounds of the Uchiha main house. Sasuke could certainly see the frog motif with the at times gaudy decor and after hearing stories for years, it wasn't as bad as he was expecting.
"Looks like he did get a key after all." Itachi mused quietly, almost quiet enough for his younger brother to miss it. At the look of inquiry, he continued lightly, "Jiraiya has been having some… Extra responsibilities as of late and wasn't sure he would be here when we arrived. The good news is the house has been cleaned and aired out for us already."
"Do you remember which room is yours Sasuke?"
"It's the one to the left of the gar-" he had to pause, that was Naruto's usual room and he no longer was welcome to share like they had always planned. The silence was heavy for a moment, never had Sasuke wished things had turned out differently more than at that particular moment. "No, I do not."
"It's next to mine, we have a wonderful view of the mountains." Itachi offered, placing a hand on his shoulder and giving a light squeeze for reassurance.
"I'm fine." The younger shook off the hand and climbed out of the car, pulling his phone out as an excuse to ignore his family.
The sliding door opened, the wooden panels that made up the shade clattering angrily. A large box made its way out first then the blond holding it, carefully stepping out to the deck and nearly dropping the box with a curse. With a deep all body sigh, Naruto stood up straight and raised his face to the sun, the natural light highlighting his figure. Sasuke stated for a long moment, trying to blend the young gangly knucklehead he remembered with this adult version complete with an attractive solid build.
"Oh my, is that really my little sunflower?! Naruto, I did not give you permission to grow up without me!" Mikoto called out, leaving Fugaku to grab the bags as she hurried to the deck. Blue eyes found once familiar black orbs first before breaking their gaze and a shy smile breaking out on the tanned face.
"Ah well ya know sunflowers are, just sprout up when no one's watching." Naruto accepted the hug stiffly until she whispered in his ear that caused him to melt into the long hug.
"Keep that in mind or I will negotiate with your mother on swapping you for Sasuke."
"Aha, not the best idea Mrs. Uchiha." A long look complete with a delicate eyebrow raise had the blond sputtering with a red face. "Fine fine, I'm sorry Mimi. Please don't look at me like that." And he still pouted the same and no it wasn't cute.
"Like what sunflower?" Her tone was playful and the quick fingers to slide through his golden mop were painfully familiar.
"Mother, we've been here less than ten minutes and you're already terrorizing the poor boy."
"Oi! I am a man now, I know Teme takes after the beauty in the family but if he can pass for a man then you shouldn't have any issues seeing I am too."
"I'm not the Uchiha that likes to check you out when you're not looking." Itachi commented as he passed Naruto, leaving him blushing and splattering again.
"Naruto." The reaction was instant, gone was the blush and sputtering, spine perfectly straight complete with a respectful but curious gaze. It was rare that the eldest Uchiha addressed the blond and it had been forever since Naruto had been comfortable around the dark-haired family. "I do hope you are not causing your parents trouble."
"Of course not, I did manage to grow up in my time away. Hurt like hell to leave for almost three years and have only Jiraiya as company but it was worth all the long phone calls from ma." Yet another mystery and by the look in the azure eyes, a big piece to explain the inner calm where there used to be boundless energy.
"I forgot to ask, did Kushina get the recipe I sent her?"
"I think so but you'll have to ask her Mimi. They got delayed helping granny with her uh situation."
"Same rooms as last time?"
"Yup, I think the only one that doesn't have the sheets put on is Teme's. I can do that real quick if you want?" The question was directed at Sasuke but Naruto's gaze was looking somewhere over his shoulder before returning to his father. He was expecting things to be awkward but not painful like this.
"I'm sure Sasuke can manage, don't let us keep from whatever it was you were doing son."
"Ah, cleaning up everything, I knew I would need to get here a few days early but I didn't know it was this bad. Steer clear of the kitchen for now, there's a lot of manuscripts lying about and I haven't had time to clean it yet. I figured the rooms were the priority since you always go for a family dinner first thing." Naruto smiled brightly before stepping through a different door that led outside. It made Sasuke recall another memory where the blond had gushed about the house.
"Oh my God, why do I always get lost?"
"Maybe because you're a Dobe?"
"Shut it Teme! I spent all summer with Peavy Sage and like his house has more doors than walls I swear! He says it's because he doesn't want to break his creative pacing so he likes having tons of options to get out of the house."
"Sounds like more options to break into the house."
"Oi! Shut up you're such a bastard."
"You know my father."
"Ugh, add prissy to the list too."
Suddenly it felt like he didn't belong here and the young photographer couldn't stay a moment longer. Leaving his luggage halfway to the door and taking only his back pack he left to the woods. Pulling on every memory he had of Naruto describing the surrounding foliage, Sasuke actually found the waterfall that fed the lake the hyper boy always spoke of. The waterfall was loud in a soothing way, the water pure and clear in a way that couldn't be found anywhere but in nature. Lush green grass filled out the banks that lined the sides of the small lake and the pine trees slightly weighed with the melting snow. This place brought peace to Sasuke's troubled mind and immediately pulled at his artistic brain. Even though he had to keep the photos for his private portfolio, this beauty didn't deserve to be disturbed without reason.
With a smooth but careful move, Sasuke slipped his arm through the strap and unzipped his pack. From the top he retrieved his camera case and withdrew his camera. Quickly the raven secured the strap around his neck and zipped up his backpack. Checking the settings and with a few test shots, the photographer was fully in control as he captured the serene surroundings. As always, Sasuke lost himself in the beauty around him and it took spotting a sliver of blond hair to break him free. Pretending to check the photo he had taken, the young photographer carefully aimed and zoomed in on the blond. The picture Naruto made took away Sasuke’s breath as he clicked the shutter button.
“Don’t you know it’s rude to stare Dobe?”
“Hey I’m not the one who left his luggage for everyone else to take care of or ran out of the house instead of going out to dinner.”
“Are you going?” His voice was neutral, a complete contrast to his inner feelings. On one hand, the raven had no idea how close the blond was with the family anymore and yet it was both disappointing and relieving if the Uzumaki were to join the Uchiha dinner.
“I can’t, Pervy Sage needs my help. I might not be here when you guys get back so the spare key is-”
“‘Under the ‘speak no evil’ toad by the huge ass sliding door’ I remember.” Dutifully Sasuke kept checking his camera and carefully packing it away while ignoring the piercing blue eyes.
“Uh yeah… Cool. I’ll uh be back later. Uh if you, I mean my memory isn’t as good as yours but yanno if you and Mimi still like super spicy curry there’s a place about twenty minutes out. It’s a little hole in the wall but authentic and good portions. Don’t stay out much longer and freeze your heart any more than it is Teme.”
Left alone by the waterfall, he finally packed everything up properly and followed the footprints back, thankful the snow hadn’t melted yet. If only the same could be said about his heart, seeing the blond should not throw his emotions back in time when Sasuke wanted nothing more than to cross lines that they never would. Thankfully he only had a week, right? Maybe then he could finally let go.
Naruto was trying his hardest to not just steal the car keys and drive far far away from Tsunade as the gas tank would allow. He was already exhausted mentally due to seeing Sasuke and boy was he a sight to see. The youngest Uchiha had always favored his mother’s looks and his father in personality, after all this time though Sasuke just seemed like so much more somehow and the blond was really trying to keep his heart in his chest this time. At the very least it was only for maybe a week so he could play it safe and be fine! Totally. As if he didn’t have a hard enough time the last time, denial really suited him then and now. Absently the blond wondered where they went for dinner.
"Fine! As if I care, I'll go just to shut you up and then I can drink in peace!" Tsunade announced loudly as she emerged from her front door.
"Oi granny, tis the season and all that but we need to get a move on so I can finish cleaning the house for the Uchihas."
"Oh, is that why you really broke up with your boyfriend? I didn't know you were talking to the Uchiha brat again." Fucking hell, Naruto hoped she would be able to control her mouth when they were actually around Sasuke's family or this would be a very bad vacation.
"I'm not the one who invited them, Pervy sage started it by deciding to invite us to his cabin and mom got the bright idea to invite Mikoto which includes the whole Uchiha family. Now hurry the fuck up before I leave you, I have shit to do and I need to leave before mom makes it here." Naruto pushed himself off the car and opened the door, sliding in the driver's seat and starting the car with the slam of the door.
"Jeez give the kid a break Tsunade, this isn't anyone's ideal vacation setup. Naruto had no idea that Sasuke was coming and by what Kushina and Mikoto were loudly discussing the Uchiha boy had no clue either after being guilty in going on the vacation in the first place." Jiraiya sighed after his explanation and got in the car, leaving Tsunade to follow suit.
“Tis the season so I'll behave but you still need to give me all the details just so we're clear.” Her tone left no room for argument as she buckled in and immediately cranked the radio. Naruto took it for what it was worth and reversed the car, secretly hoping he would be able to actually talk to Sasuke when everyone returned to the cabin. Naruto really hoped no one had looked through the gift he had brought yet, the impulsive decision to bring the gift for Sasuke was starting to seem like a bad one. Shaking off the feeling, he drove his godparents back to Jiraiya’s cabin.

HunterxHunter & Naruto
Crossover
•••••••••••••••••••••••
Ok so I don't see a crossover with gon and naruto as the same person or gon being raised in a ninja village so here's an au
•••••••••••••••••••••••
Naruto and Gon are the same person
Naruto is basically in a henge the entire time up untill greed island
Ging will be either his bio uncle though/godfather or kushina/minato/ging relationship where ging is still naruto father cause of justus could make it possible for them all to naruto bio parents
If we go with the ging is an uncle route he would have red hair and would carry around a sword for kenjustu and would be a fuinjustu master but rarely uses seals
If we go with the poly kushina/minato/ging route kushina and minato would have meet ging through a mission ging would have been a select few in history to know about shinobi and Naruto wouldn't have a henge
Narutos appearance would have red butt length hair minato facial structure and ging eyes he would still have the whisker marks
His clothes would be different from both Gon's cannon clothes and naruto cannon cloths he would wears black shinobi boots dark red shorts silimar to Gon's shorts, black cropped jacket with the uzumaki clan symbol on his back along with seals mesh armor underneath fingerless gloves that has seals stich into it his left one has his sword In it on his right glove he has his medic kit on his right, his kunai pouch on his right upper thigh and a black shinobi headband and his hair frames his face like minato's and he keeps his hand in a high ponytail
Aunt mito doesn't exist in this au sorry :(
Aunt mito is instead Tsunade
Ging did raise naruto in this au with Tsunade, jirayah would have been there but he has a spy network to run but told naruto to find him after he passes the hunter exam
Nen and chakra are different and chakra is more powerful
Naruto calls hisoka snake perv number two
Naruto also vows to never let them meet by any means necessary
Naruto knows medical ninjustu fuinjustu and kenjustu and already knows nen
Genin exams were when there were six and chunin was when they were 10 and hunter exams are when there 15
Team seven meets up at heavens arena
Team seven is practically a family
Killugon is in this au
When killua tells naruto that his from a family of assassin's and wants to kill them
Naruto in turns tells killua his real name and about the shinobi world
Naruto also has a dark sense of humor and says he should meet itachi uchiha then explains who he is
Naruto immediately doesn't like hanzo the second he meets him
Hanzo does not win and is infact very scared of Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze Freece
Naruto teaches Killua the shinobi arts and Leroio medical ninjustu and kurapika taijustu
Naruto has his mother chains and teaches kurapika some pointers on how to control chains
Killua is the first one to see Naruto real appearance (there both very blushy)
Kurama laughs everytime comes he into contact with hisoka but also want to kill him for looking at his kit that way
In Yorknew the phantom troupe comes to know not to screw with a leaf shinobi especially one that's raised by Tsunade as there base is now completely dust which makes nabunaga want to recruit them more
They also learn to not try to read his mind for they got a very angry Kyuubi who was ready to kill how dare they interrupt his nap?
When illumi used nen on killua naruto pin pointed his own k.i on illumi which in turn made him flich not expecting it to come from a such a sunshine child and decideds he might like to play matchmaker with them
When team seven arrives at heavens arena a fight totally breaks between Sasuke and Naruto on who would win leaving them to fight on two hundred floor
Naruto arm heals in a couple of days
Naruto opens all of the testing gates at the Zoldyck estate because Tsunade is one of his teachers
At greed island during the volleyball match killua hand aren't hurt at all cause whenever he hit the ball he healed killua's hand with chakra simultaneously
He also uses his summons as the extra players in the match
Sasuke is not stuck on revenge and sakura is a better ninja then in canon and Kakashi is a better teacher
Killua and Gon end up start dating at greed island
Naruto also tends push his own healing chakra into killua so he heals faster
I can't decide for in the future if they have a kid would naruto be able to get pregnant because of kurama not having a gender and that influence his body or though a blood adoption justu

Pre Naruto — Naruto Headcanons. Ages 9-15.
I have nothing better to do while my phone is dying.
Age 9
We're starting here since I'm working on something already. Okay so the day her whole clan was obliborated and sent straight to Jesus, Hokkaido was taken from Konoha under the Third's order. From there, she went to an orphanage in Amegakure.
The orphanage wasn't too bad, but Hokkaido couldn't help missing Konohagakure. She wanted to leave the orphange and debated running away.
However, she didn't get to run away as a couple who never had children together spotted this lonely dark haired girl and wanted to adopt her. This led to confusion. Someone genuinely wanted to adopt her, a broken child?
They did adopt her. But she was quiet, confused even.
The lady was one of the most beautiful ladies she had ever seen, complete with Auburn hair and deep green eyes and a pallor complexion. Her new mother's name was Emi Suzuki of the Hidden Rain.
The man was strong, and he looked very mean, but he wasn't. Hokkaido just didn't know that yet. He had short, messy Sandy blonde hair and cocoa colored eyes. This was Shindou Suzuki, a very strong Shinobi of the Hidden Rain.
Upon going to her new home, things were very different. This family was patient with her learning and never pushed her too much, they had accepted her as if she really were their own child. But she didn't want to call them mom or dad because she only ever had one mom and one dad.
Hokkaido was given a nice room with a twin sized bed and a desk for schoolwork, Emi enjoyed buying her stuffed animals, her favorite was her stuffed panda that somehow made her think of Shisui. She slept with it every single night.
Entering the academy, she made two friends that she held close to her heart.
Aito Fugikame, a small and dark haired girl with violet eyes who reminded her of Hinata Hyūga from Konoha, maybe that's why she enjoyed her company so much.
Eiji Yamada, a brunette make who seemed a little idiotic but super friendly and was outcasted for being such a loveable idiot. This was in ways, her Naruto of Amegakure.
She began to adjust to her new life, the pain seemingly subsiding as she always came home to a hot meal and was called Yua, (and it literally means binding love and affection) by Emi.
Things were starting to go great, and for once after the massacre, Hokkaido Uchiha was smiling as she came home. But she missed her brother, Sasuke. She wondered how he was doing in Konoha.
Age 10
Having a good birthday, she blew the candles out on her cake before hiding her face in her hands. She was crying but didn't know why. Sure, she was happy, but how long would it last without her only other blood relative?
The trio [Hokkaido, Aito and Eiji] often roamed the village together and practiced their skills together, she finally perfected her Fireball Jutsu.
That's when people began looking at her all weird, she was an outsider, and they knew just how strong the Uchiha clan was.
Aito's mother wouldn't let her visit nor talk to Hokkaido anymore. This was the downfall.
Hokkaido shut herself off, she barely exited her room unless it was to eat or go to school.
Age 11
Emi had conceived her first daughter this year and she seemed rather focused upon the new baby that was due to arrive in July. Hokkaido was conflicted on how to feel, she was once her foster parents primary focus, and it seemed they had less and less time for her now. She never brought it up. She was still grateful she was given a family.
In July, Emi gave birth to a healthy little girl named Ichika. Hokkaido wanted eagerly on the front steps of their house, but was only met with a sullen faced Shindou and a baby in his arms. Emi was no where around.
Later that evening, Shindou had explained that Emi had passed on, and that Hokkaido was now rightfully the woman of the house.
Even though Emi wasn't her biological mother, Hokkaido was broken again. She had lost two mother's in her life. This was the very first time she cried over someone who wasn't related to her in any way.
But Ichika reminded her so much of Emi. She had beautiful Auburn hair and a buttoned nose, just like Emi. And Hokkaido would constantly talk to the growing child about how amazing their mother was.
At the time, she hadn't even realized she reffered to Emi as her own mother. She just knew she missed her more than anything.
Age 12
Celebrating Ichika's first birthday wasn't how she ever imagined it to be. Emi wasn't there to see her daughter grow up, she hadn't even gotten to see Hokkaido graduate from the Academy and become a genin.
Hokkaido was put in a squad with Aito and Eiji, but things were still tense with herself and Aito. Hokkaido never knew how to process her emotions. She used to go to Itachi or Shisui for things like that. But Shisui had died a year before the massacre.
This year also happens to be the year Hokkaido got her menstrual cycle. She went into a panic, thinking she was dying and bleeding out. After all, she really didn't have a grown female figure to turn to about this.
She was embarassed to even tell Shindou, but he was very calming and understanding. He explained she was becoming a woman and even gave her the birds and bees talk. She was disgusted.
Sasuke is now ten, and she wonders how he's doing. She debated on writing him a letter, but out of nervousness, she doesn't.
Age 13
Hokkaido spent a lot of her time doing activities as she was now co sidered am elder sibling by Ichika. Ichika was walking and talking and every day passing, looked more like Emi.
Hokkaido began training for her chunin exams, which, were coming up very shortly. She spent many hours training with her squad a day and had often had to be retrieved by Shindou.
Shindou often scolded her for overworking herself as he forced her to drink plenty of water and eat her greens. He was only looking out for his eldest after all.
Upon the day of the exams, Hokkaido finds out all three of her squad had to sign up. And they had. They are now officially beginning their journey as chunin.
The first exam, she nearly crapped a brick. The written test was hard and she knew nothing. But she still tried her hardest, hearing and seeing others being disqualified for cheating. Her heart was hammering in her chest.
Afterwards, when she found out the objective was to cheat without being caught, she literally facepalms herself because she hadn't even thought of cheating. And then that damned question was asked.
Back at the exam, the proctor states that the candidates are free to choose whether or not they want to try and solve the tenth question. If they opt out, the entire team will fail. If they choose to answer the question but get it wrong, they will be barred from taking the Chūnin Exams forever.
Hokkaido's heart hit her guts. She was afraid of never becoming a chunin. But she pressed forward, only to find out the tenth question was already asked. The question was to test their determination and bravery.
Since I'm a lazy bastard and ive worked on this almost all damn day, I'm moving forward.
During the one on one fights, Hokkaido was matched against Kabuto Yakushi. [you know. Cuz this mf kept taking the exams cuz he a spying little-]
She lost.
She lost.
She didn't become a chunin on her first try, but congratulated Aito and Eiji upon becoming Chunin.
Age 14
Sasuke was finally old enough to take his own chunin exams and they were being hosted in Konohagakure! Hokkaido was estatic, she was finally going home to Konohagakure, even if it was just for the exams.
The exams started the same, and she passes. She couldn't help but keep glancing toward her brother however, a tugging on her heart. He hadn't even looked her way.
She wondered if he forgot her. He hadnt.
After the written exams, they prepared for the second part. Hokkaido was paired with two Amegakure genin.
However, a red haired sand ninja with a foul attitude caught her eye. Gaara.
Another skip, I'm half dead.
Anyway,, she became a chunin because of the circumstances and after the fight with Gaara and Naruto, Hokkaido goes home back to Amegakure.
Sasuke had changed so much, her little brother was growing up.
Age 15
Hokkaido had been caring for Ichika and tried being a great big sister to the four year old who somehow ended up looking up to her like she had to Itachi. It left her heart hurting a little.
Still, she would sometimes think back to that red haired boy.
She often ignored it because she didn't want to even tell Shindou about a possible boy she liked, let alone one that was so damn destructive.
Things were going well, and she was being sent on a mission to Konohagakure soon. This mission, however, required her to move away for six months. She would be aiding the Fifth Hokage, Tsunade.
She wondered why she was chosen for such a thing...
Okay. That's rushed but there. Heres her OG Naruto Headcanons. Shippuden comes next. Feedback is much appreciated. Nah this isn't proofread either.

NS fanfics
Listen. I just want a fanfic that ends the way it should be. Naruto ‘saved’ Sasuke at the valley of the end after the 4th war. Sasuke doesn’t remain this evil guy who seeks to separate or kill Naruto, Sakura and the village again (even though he had valid reasons for why he wanted to). Sasuke is not an obstacle between Naruto and Sakura because he was not interested in a first place. (I see a lot of SS/NH shippers say that NS seem like siblings, but that is just not the case.  When I think of SS and NH all the feelings are one sided on Sakura and Hinata’s side respectively. Even though Sakura is canonically older of the three, Sakura reminds me of a girl who has a crush on the handsome older neighbor guy who is friends with her friend, Naruto who has a crush on her, and Sasuke in the equation treats her like a little sister. Absolutely NO INTEREST. Let me get back, I want Sasuke to have not gotten off lightly, but I also do not forsee him wanting to stay in Konoha. I want the truth about the UCHIHA MASSACRE to be revealed. Itachi is dead and gone, it is time for Sasuke to have justice and not people looking at him like he had no reason for doing what he did to Danzo. Plus it would be nice if people recognized just how much Itachi sufferred to protect the village (JUSTICE!!)
I want Naruto and Sakura and whomever else to be complacent in the fact that Sasuke isn’t going to go around doing evil things and let Sasuke travel around with Team Taka until he feels ready to come back to Konoha, and when he does feel ready he adopts Juugo and Suigetsu as Uchihas and they move into a compound in or just outside the village (I do not think Sasuke would be fine mentally to go back to the Uchiha compound so maybe he gives that as an orphanage space for kids who lost their parents, ect,), but Karin doesn’t want to be adopted because she loves him and they explore their relationship and talk out their issues/feelings. (SASUKARIN)
Also Orochimaru is NOT given a pass to roam around Konoha freely and he is not given a pass to EXPERIMENT ON HUMANS which is what he was exiled for IN THE FIRST PLACE. NARUTO and the village as a whole are NOT OKAY WITH THAT. Orochimaru is under heavy surveillance, not doubting Yamato’s prowess but maybe chakra restraints on Orochimaru, idk the dude (?) is weird.
MEANWHILE
Naruto and Sakura just as what was shown canonically hang out in Sasuke’s absence, occasionally meeting up with the other teams, squad leaders (funny Gai and Kakashi Inserts, Iruka (Iruka does not look 70, he looks as he should- younger than Kakashi). When they meet up with other teams, Naruto remembers Hinata’s confession, and feels that before he can confess to Sakura he goes to HInata to show her gratitude for putting her life on the line for him twice but tells her he cant return her feelings as his heart already belongs to one woman (just as Jiraiya did). (Also since NH like to try to spout BS about Hinata being a healer, maybe she actually healed Neji until more professional help came instead of just watching him bleed out right in front of her-a medic no matter where is supposed to heal, periodt!),  Neji is ALLLIVEEE.
After one particular outing, Naruto walks her home (not being forced but because he wants to) everything is calm and Naruto finallly confesses her feelings, he even tells her EVERYTHING, about disguising as Sasuke to kiss her. He either leaves to let her collect her thoughts but tells her he wont stop wooing her. Sakura does not need to react then and there. She starts to think of everything he has ever done for her, him encouraging her and protecting her and more, remembers the times Sasuke even told her how much Naruto cared like the gaara fight. How he is her motivation to become stronger. She thinks about how she had to revive him TWICE, how his heart was and is in HER hands and knows that they complete each other. Heaven and Earth symbols galore.
She finds him the next day (training with Kakashi/Tsunade or whomever as works on studying to become hokage (he is a good fighter, but needs to learn more leadership and hardships of a leader.-> I actually didn’t mind Kakashi as Hokage I do wish he did cooler things or was more badass as Hokage but I like the Idea of Tsunade passing down the mantle to Naruto.) SHE asks him on a date.(Now you know how symbolic this is). They walk together, Naruto fumbles/doesn’t know where to put his hands in nervousness until she uncrosses her arms from behind her back and takes hold of his hand with a blush on her face. Maybe a little clip/ image of their younger selves holding hands/walking together as they did. (I love younger Sakura’s cute little green dress).
Further down the line, Naruto reminsces about meeting Sakura’s parents for the first time and how accepting they were and no cliches about Mebuki knowing or being friends with Kushina. (Becasue i’m like why weren’t they more around Naruto even though his parentage was a secret anyone could look at his face and know that he is Minato’s child and thus Kushina’s, especially if they were close friends). OR maybe Mebuki remembers when she had invited Naruto over for dinner once or twice way when they were genin and she noticed how their personalities complimented then but said nothing because she knew Sakura was so Sasuke- focused then (I don’t like adding to much noncanon things but this is not bad). --MAYBE RTN COULD BE INPUT HERE INSTEAD to satisfy the whole meeting the parents concept.
On a Hinata note,  watanukisakuya has a good idea for rewriting the Last movie. This would show Hinata’s growth and ability to do something without thinking about n-n-naruto kun. I rather a badass mother and clan leader Hinata than a housewife (no offense to housewives but this is the ninja world hunny). I do not know who she would end up with but I admit to being biased to KibaHina ShinHina or maybe someone from within a clan. It would be cool if it was a lower branch member (not Neji they are cousins), and work to end the slavery (She sves her own family, especially out of gratitude for Neji, no help needed from Naruto).
The wedding
The night before I do want Naruto’s swing in frame (XD) think about his lonliness and the waterfall training with Bee when he thought about his anti self, to how much love he is receiving now and how happy he is. This would essentially be in Naruto and Sakura POV. This doesn’t need to take 40 minutes of characters finding gifts, but be focused on NARUSAKU’s journey together. Naruto thinks of all the people who have helped/supported him. I did like Iruka standing in as his father. I want Naruto to think about his parents and their sacrifice so that he could be here. Sakura remember’s Minato request of her to take care of his son and promises to do just that. Tsunade and Naruto thinks of Jiraiya.
Beocming Hokage
They do have their son Shinachiku, Hanami and Hanako, and Lastly Arashi. (Shinachiku is already born and twins are on the way, Arashi has not been concieved yet).
We finally get to see Naruto become Hokage.  Yes, Shikamaru is his advisor. (Even though I hate the Boruto series, I love the idea of a bond between their children).
Naruto has to deal with the after affects of the war. Addressing smaller villages concerns about 5 nations having all of the power and wars that essentially hurt small villages the most. War relief fund set up between all the big villages to help smaller villages. (I do not know how to manage the ideas of the Daimyo’s v. leaders of villages yet.) Though Hinata would have dealt with Slavery in her clan, I would like their to be some failsafe that Narutoo put in place to make completely sure. I want Naruto to make sure that there is never another Danzo.
Sakura deals with the strains of motherhood, being a wife, and the head of the hospital, helping run the orphanage w/ Team Taka and Ino in the old Uchiha compound.
Naruto the Next GEN
It would not be titled after new character. Everyone did not pair up and have babies at the SAME TIME. Sasuke would probably have had a baby first out of everyone with Karin. I think NaruSaku would follow. Maybe Ino has a baby by the time NS are on the twins. SOME Pairings babies would be the same age, give or take a few months, but split up ages amongst the rest.
Pairings:
Naruto and Sakura
Sasuke and Karin
Shikamaru and Temari
Chouji and Ino
Kiba and Amaru (met on a mission)
Tenten and Rock Lee (I’ll admit I like RockTen or NejiTen, idc)
Neji and whomever, i’m still thinking
Hinata and ex-lower branch member (or Shino or Kiba, I like Amaru with Kiba too though)
Hanabi and Konohamaru
(Though there is peace times, I will think that there would be a few strangler bad guys, but nothing that they can not handle, and there is still the matter of the rest of the otosuki. NO NO ASTRONOMY. I hate it. No trains. No futurama look to the village, Leave it as the same aesthetically pleasing rustic village look)
(Ninjas will be ninjas so people will still train, if not only to just defend themselves and keep the tradition alive (like dojos) but yes some people do fall off on being ninjas. Not as many people want it.) There are more jobs though.)
For some reason, I have the impression that the world of Naruto as we know it is not the entirety of the globe, so there are still other villages (Yes, they might have been caught up in the infinite tsukuyomi as well without knowing whats going on)..I don’t know if the other villages are evil or not etc)
More to be added later...

I kind of can see Sasuke being Ravenclaw Primary bc he changes his mindset/adapts it to the truths that are revealed to him along the way? IDK. But for sure he isn't Slytherin or Hufflepuff Primary. A major conflict between he and Naruto is that Naruto is Loyalist and Sasuke is an Idealist, IMO.
Hi!
You’re definitely right about Sasuke being an idealist and Naruto a loyalist. Naruto wants to achieve world peace because people are suffering and people matter. Sasuke also agrees that ending world violence is the right thing to do. However, Naruto’s problem is that he is too loyal to the traditions of his community (which are all about glorifying murder and violence) to find an effective solution. Sasuke doesn’t have this issue; he will kill Naruto, the Hokages and anyone who stands in his way because it’s what must be done.
(Sasuke as a Ravenclaw Primary analysis under the cut because I’m not sure if you wanted me to give my opinion or not)
I thought about what you said about Sasuke being a Ravenclaw Primary, and he could certainly be seen as one. Sasuke’s entire clan got murdered and that was obviously despicable, so he went after Itachi, then Konoha, then the elders. But then he sees the bigger picture; that the whole world is suffering because of the villages, and that is also wrong, so he starts a revolution. He chooses “hurting my clan and the rest of the world is wrong” over “hurting my clan is wrong”, because the first one is better. He doesn’t want the mistakes of the past to be repeated, after all.
I still believe that he’s a Gryffindor Primary though, because to me “the violence against my clan is wrong” and “the violence in the world, which lead to the violence against Itachi and my clan, is wrong” is at it’s core, the same. His morality sort of…expands to include more people, if you get what I mean, but it doesn’t radically change. He forgives Itachi because he was brainwashed, but I don’t think he believes that murdering his whole clan was necessarily right, or else he wouldn’t strive to stop the same kind of thing from happening again. If he didn’t think the villages were bad before, it’s not because it went against his morality, it’s because he didn’t see that they were responsible for all the suffering in the world. The only thing that really changes is his target, and then his methods. Moreover, Sasuke never adopted Itachi’s worldview (the village is always right), nor did he accept Naruto’s. If Naruto hadn’t told him that they would fight for world peace together, he wouldn’t have surrendered. I don’t think he ever really agreed that what the village did was right. If the Sasuke in Boruto ever did, I don’t consider him the real Sasuke.
All this being said, please keep in mind that I may be overlooking some things since I haven’t watched Naruto in a while. Also, this is just an opinion and I’m no expert! You’re free to believe what you like, I’m just saying what I think.

A concept: Anko adopting Sasuke and helping him out with his curse seal. Do you have any headcanons for Adoptive Mom!Anko?
Oooh I love this headcanon!
Here are some of my headcanons:
Right after the second round of the chunin exams is over, Anko volunteers with Kakashi to take over Sasuke’s training for the 3rd round. Kakashi teaches him chidori as usual while Anko teaches him how to control the cursemark. During that time period Sasuke develops a sense of respect for what she went through and eventually the two of them open up to each other about their childhood traumas.
After the chunin exams are over, Anko persuades the village council to let her keep Sasuke under her wing that way she can keep a closer eye on him, but really it’s because she developed a soft spot for him.
When Itachi comes over to the village, Anko chases after Sasuke so he doesn’t get hurt from Itachi, but by the time she arrives, it’s too late. She then takes him to the hospital and stays with him until Jiraiya and Naruto bring Tsunade over.
Once Tsunade arrives at Konoha and heals Sasuke, Anko hugs him tightly and Sasuke lets a few tears fall down on his face, because he’s been deprived of a mother’s love.
After Tsunade becomes Hokage, Anko takes full guardianship of Sasuke and makes him her apprentice.
Anko eventually convinces Yugao to train Sasuke in kenjutsu.
(I genuinely believe that if Anko became Sasuke’s mentor, then he would’ve never left the village.)
Fast forward Shippuden, Tsunade sends him and Anko to assassinate Orochimaru and the 2 of them succeed and bring back ALL of his prisoners to Konoha.
@crowbean  @kakashianko  @dianueisha  and @whistler-4 might also give good headcanons of mom!Anko as well.

Omega!Naruto Characters - Death from a broken heart.
Anon:  I don't know if you do, but some aus say that a person can't sruvive after their mate dies, like they die from a broken heart. Do you have that in yours, can you write who would be most likely to die mayeb please xx
(I love this headcanon! In my au, I think that if a person feels like they have nothing left to live for after their mate dies, they die with them. This is my ranking for how the boys would react when you had been mated for a while, but before having children.
I wrote a Naruto one first, but I’m already half way through a BNHA version, so look out for that.)
Warnings: Suicide, major death, depression.
Tumblr media
LEAST
1. Naruto – ALIVE – He is in mourning for a long time, but ultimately, he manages to turn your death into something meaningful. He memorialises you with a beautiful shrine in your home that he can’t bear to leave. He tries to ‘solve’ whatever it was that killed you. For example, if you died from sickness, he would assign lots more funds into the hospital and medicinal research. It’s not easy for him at all, but he could move on someday and take another mate, many years down the line. He has so much love to give and he wants to receive love in return, and he knows you would want him to be happy. However, he would never tolerate a new mate who was jealous of you or wanted him to get rid of your shrine. He could never do that to your memory. He picks a mate he knows you would love.
2. Iruka – ALIVE – He is deeply depressed when you die. He throws himself into his work as much as he can, distracting himself until he has a complete breakdown. He relies on his friends a lot during this time. Iruka eventually learns to distract himself in healthier ways, processing with your death in smaller increments rather than all at once. He might get another mate, but it would be very unlikely I think. It would be more likely that Iruka decides to adopt an orphan and throw himself into raising that child with as much love as he can. He would raise the child knowing you as their other parent, telling them stories about you, showing him pictures and visiting your grave with them.
3. Gaara – ALIVE – He is angry. It has been a long time since he was this angry. Gaara blames himself for a long time, which sends him down a dark path. Ultimately what saves him is his siblings. They keep him sane and happy to the best of their abilities and Gaara throws himself into his family as a result. It’s the only place where he can feel okay, if only for a little bit. If his siblings ever have pups, Gaara is committed to being the greatest uncle of all time and the pups love him. However, he can’t help but get lost in his thoughts sometimes, wondering what your children would have been like. He misses you every second of every day. He would be extremely unlikely to get mated again.
4. Shikamaru – ALIVE – He is furious. With the situation, with himself, and with you, for leaving him alone when you promised you wouldn’t. Another one who leans a lot on his friends and family to get him through the darkest time in his life. He lashes out at people and is very difficult to deal with after you die. I definitely see him as the kind of person to take on one of your hobbies to help him deal with your loss. Whatever it was you loved to do the most, he will start doing as a way to ensure that he will never forget you. He may get mated again, he may not, it depends a lot on if he meets someone he falls in love with again. But if the clan elders ever try and push him to mate again so that he can have an heir, he will flip his shit big time. He sees it as a direct attack on your memory.
5. Shino – ALIVE – He withdraws into himself. He speaks to no one other than his father for about a month after your death, refusing to go about his life as normal. Because it’s not normal and it will never be normal again. He takes a long hiatus from missions which he spends sorting through his thoughts and memories of you. The things he never said, the things he never got to do, the things he should have done. He tortures himself for a few weeks before his father pulls him out of his slump by force. They go for walks together, trying to find certain bugs, just like they did when he was a child. They cook together, Shibi closely monitoring Shino’s diet, knowing that hunger takes a big hit after the death of a mate. This is what saves Shino, but he will never mate again. He refuses. He couldn’t do that to your memory, but he also couldn’t do it to himself. Not again.
6. Neji – ALIVE – He gets so close to death. He stops eating, stops getting out of bed, stops working. He just lays there wasting away. He is convinced that he’s going to die and he feels weirdly happy about that. He doesn’t fight it at all, but instead embraces all his misery. It’s when his teammates come to visit him that everything changes. They find him close to death and panic. They rush him to the hospital, making sure that someone is with him at all times. They tell jokes, they organise games and read to him, anything to make him feel better. And it works enough that he can leave the hospital in a fortnight. Even after that, they keep up around the clock supervision for him, making sure that he is never alone with his dark thoughts for too long. Slowly, but surely, he recovers. But he never forgets. And he certainly never mates again.
7. Itachi – DEAD (kind of) -  Itachi shuts down, but he doesn’t die, at least not immediately. He hyper focuses on his plan, following the steps automatically. He’s happy with every step he completes, because he knows the final step is his death. He clings to the knowledge that he will die soon, which ironically is the only thing that keeps him alive. He is colder than ever. From an outsider’s perspective it might not seem that he is that affected, but when he’s alone he just sits in silence, sometimes tears run down his face. When he is finally an inch from death at the hands of his brother, he smiles. He doesn’t think he’ll see you again. He doesn’t think he deserves that kind of happiness. People like him don’t deserve that. But at least, he hopes, it might stop hurting.
8. Kakashi – DEAD – He’s been through so much, that he thinks he should be able to cope by now. He knew this was going to happen after all. He waited so long to get mated, because he was scared, because he knew that you would leave him or be taken from him like everyone else. He’s tired. He’s so tired. He’s probably at least nearly 40 at this point, he’s far older than he ever thought he’d be. You taught him what it meant to truly live, not just survive. He can’t go back to how he was, he can’t. He goes to your funeral and stands there in silence. He accepts every condolence and offer of help with a silent nod. He promises his friends that he will go to a specialist therapist first thing in the morning. When everybody leaves, he sits by your grave all night, asking you for forgiveness for everything. For not being quick enough to save you, for pushing you away so much at the beginning of your relationship, and finally, forgiveness for what he’s about to do. He knows you would tell him to fight and survive the heartbreak, but he can’t. He heads back to his apartment for the final time, breathing in the air and taking in the sights. He piles everything he has that smells like you onto his bed and lays down in it. He apologises one final time before closing his eyes, knowing that he won’t be waking up.
9.  Sasuke – DEAD – He should have known his would happen. Everything he loves gets ripped away from him, so why would you be any different? He’s furious when he hears the news. He destroys your house, throwing and smashing everything he can get his hands on. And when he’s destroyed everything, he just sits down in the middle of the living room floor and cries. He knows that people will show up soon. He knows that everyone knows he’s at risk for hurting himself, but he won’t let them take away his choice. He doesn’t want to do it anymore, he just wants to be with you. So he collects himself for a moment and then he runs. He doesn’t pick a place he just runs where he knows no one will think to look. He ends up sitting in between some trees on the floor of a training ground no one uses. He watches the stars for a few minutes, remembering every time he would do that together with you. He talks to you quietly, closing his eyes and convincing himself that you’re laying beside him. In the end, he doesn’t wait to die from his broken heart, he does it himself.

UZUMAKI  *   just gonna put this down for my forgetful ass.
close relations between the uzumaki  &  uchiha clan. this would include the friendships between mikoto, fugaku, kushina, and minato as parents along with itachi having to babysit with looking after the two of them. probably how well the two clans worked together during the time of minato’s hokage reign. the fact that naruto was probably    ALMOST  ADOPTED    by mikoto  &  fugaku uchiha but the third hokage forbid it. in some ways danzo was also probably behind it, not wanting the power of sharingan  &  kyuubi in close distance of each other. the third simply just wanted naruto to basically suffer.
as stated above, rework former headcanon on previous blog to update it
forgiving itachi in understanding the sacrifice he made to guarantee the safety of both sasuke, naruto  &  the entire village as a whole  (  mainly his little brother ofc  )
naruto’s interests that vary from a little gardening, to learning little medical skills from baa - chan, sakura and ino both. although his own body can heal rapidly due to kurama it just never hurt to have a bit more knowledge just in case    SOMEONE    needed that kind of help and we know that naruto would just freak tf out  &  probably cause more harm than good in doing so.
he fucking loves    ASTRONOMY    so he’s signed tf up. he loves stars  &  all that good shit.
continue to harness knowledge and understanding of what kind of control over his power he can muster, thus having to train along with kurama whenever he has that free time. let’s face it  ,  kurama ain’t going nowhere. continuing to build up his own    PERSONAL    jutsu, some of his father’s as well  &  perhaps using his flying thunder god kunai. he still has the very same ones during the great war, even those used in final moments before death those years ago. naruto treasures them  &  respects what his parents knew and went through for him. hell, he even does some training with kakashi - sensei and shikamaru whenever he uses them to see what he could pick up on.
the good boy that he is always lending a helping hand  ,  be it daily tasks around the village, the orphanage, academy, even as far as to make sure that everyone knows how important they are. does naruto still feel that pang in his mind and heart from those younger years? yeah, a lot. not like he’s gonna let that stop him. naruto enjoys making friends after all. of course having to make that three day trip to suna is gonna be a pain in the butt but he’s gotta go meet the sand sibs  &  help them out too  !
teach konohamaru everything he’s learned over the years, somewhat being his own sensei in the matter for him to master the rasengan better. he’s got the fire inside him, and he’s pretty much someone he really looks out for as he always seen himself in him from the time they met.
FAMILY REUNION !   oh yeah, he’s gonna track down every uzumaki out there. rebuild the enire family village? damn right. it’s important. karin get in the fucking car.
along those lines he’s actually able to talk to both minato  &  kushina, although it’s in spirit he’s just so unsure how it happens, not like he’d question it really. if he isn’t getting any advice  /  help from shikamaru on important things, then he’s seeking guidance from mom n dad. sometimes he doesn’t get the chance, but then there are days where he could spend hours talking to them. naruto still gets upset that they can’t be there when he comes home physically, but he can feel their love no matter what.

So does Kishi officially hate NH and SS? Because I can't help but think like that when I see them in Boruto. Like no way he wants them to be seen as happy or content. Also, it seems like he still hates Sakura because just just look at her, she hasn't really changed. Her dynamic with Sasuke hasn't really changed. She gives chase, Sasuke ignores. Except Sasuke looks more depressed.
Hey, after fifteen years of us chasing after the story and characters we invested in so much, at least give us some indication that they are least happy after sooo many sacrifices, like they deserve that happiness.
But no, if anything, they seem totally miserable. What made Kishi do that? Yes, he can't show them ooc, but Sasuke marrying Sakura is already ooc. Naruto being a bad father is already ooc. Like why go to the extent of showing Sasuke trying not to touch Sakura and pointedly showing that they never kissed? That's just like a determined effort on Kishi's part to show that their marriage is not working. Naruto works way more than any of his predecessors and sleeps in the office or couch so as not to disturb Hinata, when Hinata is specifically designed to accommodate anything that Naruto might require.
Don't get me wrong, I think Boruto is trash. But I am still in interested in SNS in Boruto because that's still canon. Just makes me wonder how Kishi will finally conclude SNS, because their bond still shows clearly in Boruto. Do you think he will kill them any time soon?
Good ask, Anon☺️☺️❤️❤️
Before answering this, I am going to tell you that I don’t watch Boruto. But I know what happened so far, vaguely. Like, Gaiden arc, Karma seal, Kawaki adoption, Kurama’s death, loss of Rinnegan, Time travel arc. Anyways, I might have missed many interactions between Sasuke & Sakura in the filler episodes or other canonical episodes. I would be happy If you send me an episode list or timestamps in where they interact, so that it saves my time instead of me, watching that entire shit show.
So does Kishi officially hate NH and SS?
In this post, I dissected SS from a non-SNS perspective. It seems Kishi went all out of his way to make their interactions too insincere, blunt and toxic. I mean Sasuke’s absolute lack of interest in her was very evident even until chapter 693. That is right before, their final VoTE fight. And even after Sakura comes to heal their injuries, he just said ‘Ummmm..... I guess Sorry’...
Kishi could have made Sasuke say some corny shit to Sakura like how he felt bad inside for hurting her, how he missed her, wiping her tears or whatever (Puke!!!! 🤮🤮🤮). Because in the previous chapter, Sasuke basically confessed to Naruto internally about how he felt about Naruto when he was a child. Kishi could have done the same for Sakura in just 4, 5 panels. But anyways, my point is, Kishi’s moment to salvage that ship is chapter 699.
But he didn’t.
Did Kishi tried to build their bond after marriage?
He definitely could’ve. But he didn’t.
This shows his clear distaste in SS.
As for NH, Kishi is indifferent. He neither hates them nor loves them. Kishi created Hinata as a pairing fodder and she still is.
Also, it seems like he still hates Sakura because just just look at her, she hasn't really changed. Her dynamic with Sasuke hasn't really changed. She gives chase, Sasuke ignores. Except Sasuke looks more depressed.
Hmmm, I don’t know whether Sasuke hates her, anon. Again, maybe I’ve missed those parts. But when he looks at her, it’s always filled with regrets and an urge to avoid her (like Itachi avoided Sasuke, but for totally sad and genuine reasons).
But this again begs the question, ‘Why feeling regret or hesitant even after 12 years?’.
Believe me anon, Love/Bonds/Understanding can happen at anytime of your life. From where I come from, not everyone marries out of love. Arranged marriages are common. But still, many couples make effort and work out their difference, and find love. Kishi could’ve done the same for SS too.
Is Sasuke that heartless? No.
He was once a boy who bear hugged his brother every time Itachi comes back from the Academy. Itachi’s presence itself made Sasuke so happy.
Did he become heartless after the massacre? Also no.
Even after the trauma, Sasuke just became aloof and cold. But he always becomes a child who can pout, be silly, becomes animated, bicker around Naruto. So, he can be lovely, but only around the people he choose by himself.
Still, Sakura is not that person. So, he looks like he is depressed and wants to escape from her at any given chance because of a certain guilt.
To answer, this goes way back, anon.
Kishi is a person who prefers to write love through intense friendship, sensei-student dynamics and brotherhood. He can occasionally write cute and sweet romance but it can only be short like 2 or 3 pages... or a chapter, max. He can’t go on doing it for 70 chapters for romance. Which was evident from Minato & Kushina, Dan & Tsunade, Obito & Rin.
But the real deal of Naruto manga is the bond between Naruto and Sasuke. The bond between Itachi and Sasuke also played a huge role in this series. And then comes Hashirama and Madara, Jiraiya and Naruto, Kakshi and Obito, Kakashi and Naruto and many more. So, Kishi pretty much gave an ending he wanted for a long time in chapter 699. He successively pulled off a great manga without corny and shitty romance but with just friendship and brotherhood alone. He didn’t give two shits about NH or SS before chapter 700.
Naruto series’ another success lies on it’s characters tragic backstories. I simply loved them all and most of them made me cry.
Kishi wanted to move on from Naruto.
But then Money played a big part. Naruto series can be milked in a lot of ways. Editors wanted all the characters to become some baby making dolls. So you have to create pairings. Based on the popularity polls, they decided NH and SS.
In my opinion, Sasuke is a goal-oriented person. He is a wanderer who works on his own accords. Ever since he left Konoha when he was 13, that was his path, so you can’t make him stay in one place. At every stage of his life, he had different goals.
At age 8-15, he had one goal. To kill Itachi. Can he have a romance here? Nope.
At age 16, his goal is to destroy Konoha. No chance of romance in that dark path.
At age 17, he wanted to Revolutionize the shinobi system. Since he wanted to be alone for that goal, no possibility of romance.
At age 18, he adopted Naruto’s dream as his own. To make all shinobi cooperate and look out for Kaguya remains. Romance cannot happen here as he was constantly wandering around and he prefers to work alone.
This is how Kishi designed Sasuke’s character throughout.
Now all of a sudden, if you ask Kishi to go OOC by asking him to write corny romance for his favorite character Sasuke just for the sake of making him relevant to Boruto series, what will he do?
Since Boruto is a series which is a sequel to Naruto, you pretty much know everyone’s backstory. Those 12 year old New Gen kids possibly can’t have tragic stories like Naruto or Sasuke.
Kishi being a troller, used this opportunity to create a piss poor sob story for Sarada by making Sasuke as an absentee father and an unloving husband.
He created a sad story for Sarada and he gets to shit on SS ship. Two birds, One stone!!!!
Now, Sasuke being an unloving husband is OOC ? Nope. He was never a marriage material in the first place. So he is perfectly in-character.
Sasuke being an absentee father is OOC? No and Yes. No, because it’s the effect of the cause I mentioned above. Yes, because unlike Naruto, Sasuke once had a father. He can try to reach her out now and often. but he prefers not to do instead he cares more about Boruto. LOL.
Sasuke being not family oriented is OOC? Nope. He is a goal oriented person. His goal is same as Naruto’s dream. He will go to any extent to fulfill it, even at the expense of his family’s happiness. Because that’s what he learnt from Itachi. What Itachi taught him was, even at the expense of his own happiness and Sasuke’s trauma, he preferred Konoha and Shinobi World’s peace. That’s what Sasuke is doing now.
Naruto works way more than any of his predecessors and sleeps in the office or couch so as not to disturb Hinata, when Hinata is specifically designed to accommodate anything that Naruto might require.
As for Naruto,
I think it’s very funny. And I guess, I know why.
Just like Sasuke, Naruto is also a goal oriented person.
Remember, in that Boruto movie, Sasuke knocks Naruto’s door at the midnight?
Imagine if Naruto opened the door.
Sasuke will be like, ‘Alright mothafucka!!! I wanted to die in the VoTE itself. You wanted me in your dream world. Am working my ass off for your stupid dreams and trying to reach you without even meeting my own family. And yet here you are, sleeping well and sound. Am just gonna Chidori you!!!’ LOL.
I think you get my point.
If you make Sasuke to be an hardworker, then Naruto must work even hard to fulfill his dream. So you possibly can’t have Naruto playing duet with Himata or whatever trash.
So kishi pulled his Two birds, One Stone for NH here!!!
In short, Kishi gets to make his New generation shine through this pathetic sob stories and at the same time, kept his favorite characters without going OOC.
So, it’s a polite way of Kishi showing middlefinger to SS and NH for making him do this. He is saying, ‘Alright folks, you wanted this all along. But this is what you will get!!!’.
Just makes me wonder how Kishi will finally conclude SNS, because their bond still shows clearly in Boruto. Do you think he will kill them any time soon?
I think about this all the time. How will they end?? How will they die??
Now, don’t think I am some sadist for wanting them to die. I am just being practical and honest here. This is a new generation series. Of course, at some point, Naruto and Sasuke has to die for the sake of character development. And I will be happy if they die because I don’t like their miserable portrayal in Boruto at all.
Naruto series has a pattern when it comes to death portrayal. Meaningful characters (except Neji) always die protecting someone/something they cherish. Jiraiya died for Naruto, Yahiko died for Konan & Nagato, Itachi died for Sasuke & Konoha, Haku died for Zabuza, Obito (younger) died for Kakashi & Rin and so on.
Ever since Naruto became Hokage, his death is pretty much plastered on his head. He will die protecting Konoha just like all the Hokages from First to Fourth who sacrificed their life for Konoha.
But Sasuke???
I am going to say he will die protecting Naruto or the village. But for Naruto mostly. Either way, Sasuke will die first.
Dying for Naruto, the reasons are crystal clear. He already died protecting Naruto once in the Zabuza arc. He will never hesitate to do it again. Which was evident from the way he told Naruto in the Boruto movie while giving his Susanoo, ‘If they capture the real you, then everything is gone’. Somewhere in Boruto Manga chapter 38 (I don’t remember properly), Sasuke was yelling at Naruto, ‘If you are gone, it’s pretty hopeless’ and was praying ‘Naruto, don’t you die’.
So it’s pretty much Sasuke saying to Naruto, ‘I’ll protect you, You protect everyone’
But why the village?? Why will Sasuke die for Konoha which caused him so much pain?? I know anti-konoha stans wont like this, but that’s the reality.
It seems many Sasuke fans never paid attention to his character. After hearing the story from all the Hokages, Sasuke said, ‘I will not let Itachi’s life and this village into nothing’. He really meant it. Because for Sasuke, Itachi was more precious. Itachi died saying, ‘I’ll have protected my village as Uchiha Itachi of Konoha once again. I have no more regrets’. Sasuke wanted to respect his brother’s wish finally and that’s why he openly claimed in the battlefield, ‘I am going to protect Konoha and become it’s Hokage’. Sasuke’s another precious person is Naruto. He is the Hokage now.
Don’t you think Sasuke will die protecting something Itachi and Naruto values so much??
He even claimed it openly in Boruto Manga. ‘I would die anytime for Konoha, as has your dad (Naruto)’
Sasuke even said to Boruto, “I will stop you even if I have to kill you”. And do you think Sasuke is just pouring out some empty words??? Sasuke will not let Boruto to turn into an Otsutsuki monster and destroy the village.
Like I said, Sasuke will go out first. And eventually Naruto will follow him. Or they both die protecting the village together. I don’t see them dying for their wives or children. Because, their relationship with their family is not too strong and their ambitions are far beyond their own families.
Maybe for this reason, Kishi is trolling NH and SS in Boruto. LOL.
Naruto’s bond with Sasuke was formed even before his birth, when Kushina asked the 3 month old Baby Sasuke to be friends with Naruto.
However, One thing is for sure. One will not live very long without the Other or Both will die together. That’s how their bond should end.

[ Tagalong ] [ @frogprinceus || @kyuuzuchiha || @younguchihasuvivor ] [ Suigin Ryū, Uzumaki Naruto, Jiraiya, Uchiha Sasuke, Uchiha Itachi ] [ Blood mention ] [ Verse: What Remains ]
“Narutooo! Time to get uuup!”
Rapping knuckles against the boy's door, Ryū listens for a moment, hearing a familiar grumble before smiling and moving to the next. “Tōchan! Breakfast is almost done! You'll miss it if you don't hurry!”
She presses an ear to the door, listening and blinking before frowning at the silence. “...tōchan?” Opening the portal a crack, an orb of grey peeks through before wilting along with her shoulders.
Jiraiya's passed out atop his futon, loose pages of writing scattered about and a long-dried calligraphy brush hanging out of one hand. He's still snoring. Apparently he spent another late night writing.
Ryū sighs, closing the door and thinking to herself. ...guess I'll just have to put some leftovers away for him...I can do that while I make Naruto's bento... Mind made up, the tween gives a curt nod to herself before moving back downstairs just as the blond opens his door. “You're gonna be late!”
“No m'not...”
Bustling about the little home's kitchen, Ryū juggles putting together lunchboxes, finishing breakfast, and putting some aside for Jiraiya...whenever he wakes up. Eating as she works, the little medic-in-training gives Naruto's hair a rustle as he sits, fluttering by him and tidying up. “You've got ten minutes before we need to leave, ne?”
“Yeah, yeah...” Yawning, the little Uzumaki stars picking at his food, blinking blearily and fumbling his chopsticks.
“I'm gonna leave without you!”
“But onēchan, I'm tiiired...”
“I told you not to stay up so late! Did you finish your homework?”
“...ehhh...”
“Naruto!”
“I'll do the last bit before class!”
“Then you'd better eat fast if you want extra time!” Packing up Naruto's bento and tying the kerchief, Ryū scampers back up the stairs one more time. Taking a deep breath, she calls, “Tōchaaan!”
There's a holler, the sound of a crash, and Ryū flinches. “Huh?! What?!”
“We're gonna leave in a few minutes! I put your food in the fridge, ne? I've got my lessons today so I won't be back until after Naruto gets out of class! I'll pick him up on my way home.”
Jiraiya can be heard grumbling behind the door, sliding it open and itching at his shoulder with a pouty scowl. “Is it that late already...?”
Ryū just giggles. “Mhm! You two have to get to bed at better times, ne? I'm gonna have to get a rooster to wake you up!”
“Rooster, huh...maybe we could eat it...”
“Tōchan!”
“Kidding, kidding...” Ruffling Ryū's hair, the sannin steps past her toward the stairs, yawning as Naruto runs back up.
“Did you forget your bag again? I keep telling you to take it with you when you come down!” Ryū chides.
“I'll be just a second, 'ttebayo!”
Grabbing their lunch boxes, Ryū gives her father's cheek a peck on her way by, seated at the table. “Ja ne!”
“Have a good day!”
Slipping on her shoes, Ryū helps Naruto with his before the pair are out the door, walking briskly. “Come on, come on!”
“Not so fast, onēchan!”
The two of them make it to the Academy just as the bell rings, calling in the students for class. Straightening Naruto's shirt and trying to tame his hair, Ryū gives him a smile. “Have fun! I'll be back after my lessons at the hospital to pick you up.”
“But I wanted to go to the training grounds after class!”
“I think you better ask tōchan first, ne? Maybe he'll go with you!”
The blond sighs. “Okay, okay...”
“See you later!” Waving, Ryū gives the Academy yard a glance, seeing other kids almost as late as they are. Not far away, a boy her age ushers his little brother just the same.
“Do your best, Sasuke.”
“I will, nīsan! See you after class!” The younger walks backwards and waves before following not far behind Naruto.
Watching them curiously, Ryū stiffens slightly as the other boy looks over, catching her staring. Managing a quick, embarrassed bow of apology, she spins around and makes her way to the hospital for her own lessons.
As usual, it's busy to the brim, and the little medic nimbly dodges her way to find whatever staff member will be teaching her this time around. There's always so much to do, she rarely sees the same one twice in a row. Frustrating, but...well, it's the only way to learn for now.
“I'm here!”
“Ah, good morning Ryū-chan. Come on, let's get started.”
The day passes as normally as any other, Ryū allowed to look in on a few procedures. It's been hinted they may let her take her entrance exams soon...and if she passes, she'll be allowed to work full-time as a healer in the hospital. She's had some hands-on practice, but she can't wait to finally be able to be of use.
By the time she's let out for the day, it's still a bit early for Naruto to do the same. With time to spare, Ryū buries her nose into a medical text, heels on a bench's edge as she sits and props the book up against her knees.
So focused is she, she nearly jumps out of her skin as someone asks, “Mind if I sit here?”
Taking a sharp breath, Ryū turns and feels her insides drop as the same boy from that morning gestures to the free end of her seat. “...s...sure.” Flustered, she fixes her posture and closes her book atop her lap, face hot with embarrassment.
“Are you...studying to be a medic?”
The question is unexpected, drawing the girl's gaze. “Oh, ah...yes. I...take lessons in the hospital.”
“I see...and the Uzumaki boy, Naruto...you were here with him this morning. Is he your brother...?”
“Well...not really...?” Still nervous, Ryū manages to reply. “My father adopted him. He knew Naruto's parents before they...died. He's lived with us since he was a baby. And I've lived with tōchan since I was five.” A pause, and then she stutters, “O-oh, where are my manners...I forgot to give you my name. It's Ryū!”
“Itachi.”
The pair manage smiles before the bell rings, drawing their gazes to the school yard. A flood of students soon find freedom, and Naruto approaches them first. “Onēchan!”
“Hey! Have a good day?”
“Yeah, yeah! Let's go get tōchan so I can go training!”
“What about your homework...?”
“I can do that after dark – come ooon!”
“Okay, let me put my book back in my bag, ne?”
Sasuke finds them next, giving Ryū and Naruto an uncertain glance before smiling at his brother. “You came!”
“I had time. Ready to go home?”
“Can we go practice with shuriken, nīsan? Please?”
“I really should go report for my mission this evening...”
“Aww...”
After a brief hesitation, Ryū offers, “Well...Naruto was going to go train after we go ask tōchan permission. If you need someone to go with...you could come with us!”
Both younger boys immediately balk, glancing to each other warily.
“It would be good to have someone to train with since I'm busy, Sasuke.”
“But nīsan...!”
“What do you think, Naruto?” Ryū chirps. “Want to take Sasuke-kun along?”
The blond pouts. “No way...!”
Both older siblings laugh. “Well...for now, I'll take Sasuke home. Maybe he'll see you there, Naruto-kun,” Itachi compromises, standing and taking his brother's hand.
Naruto doesn't reply, still pouting as Ryū waves. “Ja ne!” Giving him a glance, she wilts slightly. “What's wrong with training with a classmate?”
“He's such a show-off! Mister good at everything...”
Ryū blinks. ...is he jealous...?
“C'mon, let's go see tōchan. I wanna get there before he does!”
“O...okay.”
Jiraiya is bent over the table when they get home, a pot of tea nearby as he writes. “Oh, hey you two! Have a good day?”
“Ne, let's go train! I wanna practice with my shuriken!” Naruto throws his bag by the door, hopping in place, not wanting to take his shoes off. “Can we? Pleeease?”
Holding his brush between his teeth as he pours more tea, Jiraiya perks a brow. “Right now?”
“Yeah right now! It's gonna get crowded, 'ttebayo!”
“It has been a while since you took him,” Ryū offers, giving the sannin a teasing smile. “I can work on dinner while you're gone!”
“Don't wanna come with us?”
“...I can't really practice shuriken...”
“No, but what if someone gets hurt?” Jiraiya grins. “Who else is gonna patch us up, huh? C'mon, we'll all get out of the house for a while. How long has it been since you weren't either here, or at the hospital, eh?”
Ryū pouts. She'd wanted to do some studying...but Jiraiya just had to mention someone getting hurt. “Oh...okay.”
Once the sannin finds his shoes, Naruto leads the way to the training grounds with a smile and a quick pace. “Come on guys, you're too slow 'ttebayo!”
“He never runs out of energy, does he?” Ryū sighs.
“Tell me about it. I guess one of you has to be that way – you couldn't both be quiet as mice,” her father replies, giving her a glance and a grin.
“I'm not that quiet...!”
“No, but compared to him you are.”
There's a few other Academy students scattered around the beginner's training fields, most lobbing shuriken or sparring hand-to-hand. Off by himself, Ryū spies Sasuke hitting targets with his own weaponry. “Ne! Sasuke-kun!”
As she waves a hand to him, Naruto scowls. “Don't invite him over!”
“Why not? You two can practice together – try to beat each other's scores!”
“It's good to have a rival, Naruto!” Jiraiya adds, ruffling the boy's hair. “It gives you drive to improve! Something to strive for!”
“I'm already trying to be Hokage, 'ttebayo! I don't need a stinkin' rival...!”
As they argue, Ryū looks back to Sasuke, seeing him watching them. She gives another wave, smiling until he finally approaches, looking about as excited as Naruto is. “Hey there! Want to join us?”
Noticing the Uchiha, Naruto starts to complain, but only cries out as Jiraiya puts another hand on his head. “Up for a little friendly competition?”
The boys set up rules for a game, and Ryū sits on the grass, arms around her knees. “Be careful, ne?”
“What, don't want to practice your medical skills?” Jiraiya laughs.
“Not if I can help it!” Wishing she'd brought something to read, Ryū has little else to do than watch, folding arms atop her knees and resting her chin. Both Naruto and Sasuke seem reluctant, but start trying to land hits on Jiraiya at the same time. Of course, the sannin blocks them with ease, egging them on with a grin and laughing.
It seems to work. Both students start focusing on their target, forgetting to worry about each other and simply trying to best the sannin. Ryū can't really gauge how well they're doing, but given that Jiraiya isn't even sweating...apparently they're not making much headway. Ducking and dodging strikes from little arms and legs, palms easily catch their blows.
Eventually, the toad sage ends up with Naruto over his shoulder, Sasuke hauled up under an arm and unable to escape, no matter his wriggling. “Well then! I think we know who won this spar!”
Ryū laughs. “Tōchan, that's hardly fair! You're so much bigger!”
“And stronger. And faster.” The man laughs, letting the boys go and settling down on the grass beside his daughter. “Now! How about you two try some shuriken throwing? We'll see if your technique needs any work!”
The boys seem to size each other up before facing a painted post and trying to hit the target.
Hands on his knees, Jiraiya chuckles to himself.
“What's so funny?”
“...I remember being the same way with my own rival when I was their age. I was hot-headed, like Naruto...and he was a cool genius like Sasuke.” Though he's smiling, there's something unreadable in Jiraiya's eyes. “...I hope things turn out well between them.”
Considering him curiously, Ryū doesn't answer. After all, medics don't really have rivals. The concept is a little beyond her understanding. Instead, she looks back at the younger pair, both focused on their throwing.
“Ow!”
Jumping at the sudden outcry, Ryū hesitates a moment before scrambling to her feet. “Naruto?!”
Holding a bloodied finger, the blond gives a light hiss of pain, holding the digit in his other hand. “M-my grip slipped...”
“Hold on! Let me see...” Carefully looking it over, she offers, “It's not too bad.” Cradling it in one hand, her other palm hovers over the injured finger, white chakra starting to heal the cut.
Curious, Sasuke peers over, taking a few steps and watching.
It doesn't take long to mend the little injury, and Ryū gives Naruto a smile. “See? All better!”
“Told you we'd need you!” Jiraiya teases from behind her.
“Yeah, yeah...!” Laughing, she takes up Naruto's hand and gives it a get-well kiss. “Taadaa!”
Watching them, Sasuke seems to falter for a moment.
“Thanks onēchan!”
“Be careful, ne?”
“Mhm, mhm!” With that, Naruto goes back to it, biting his tongue in concentration.
Smiling and moving to sit again, Ryū pauses at another voice.
“A-ah...”
Turning back, the little medic blinks. Suddenly...Sasuke's hand is bleeding? “...you too?”
Avoiding Ryū's eyes, the Uchiha just gives a little nod, holding out his palm.
Hesitating only a moment, a small, knowing smile pulls at the girl's lips before she takes up his hand.
“Wait, you cut yourself Sasuke? How'd ya do that?” Naruto bustles over, trying to see.
“Hush, nosy,” Ryū chides, already working on the wound.
“But he never does that! He's too g-!” Balking, Naruto cuts himself off.
“Too what...?” his sister teases.
“N...nothin'...”
Ryū just laughs softly before bringing her attention back to Sasuke. A glance at his face shows him watching her work, dark brows furrowed slightly.
“I really should go report for my mission this evening...”
...his brother seems pretty busy...maybe he's just...lonely...
Once the cut heals completely, Ryū lets her palm rest atop Sasuke's. “There we go!”
Glancing up, the boy hesitates for a moment. “...thank you.”
“Of course.” After a pause, she carefully takes up his hand and gives it a kiss, just like Naruto's.
Sasuke balks, cheeks flaring pink.
“There! Now I'm all done.” Ryū softly winks an eye. “Be careful...ne?”
“Y...yeah.”
“Maybe if everyone's making mistakes and getting hurt, it's time to head home, eh?”
Naruto quickly argues with Jiraiya. “We haven't even been here that long, 'ttebayo!”
Watching them, Ryū gives a weary sigh and a smile. “Should we take you home, Sasuke-kun?”
He doesn't reply, tracing fingers over his healed palm.
“C'mon, Naruto. Don't you want some of Ryū's good cooking?”
“But it's not even that late!”
“You still have homework to do,” the little medic chides.
“But onēchaaan...!”
“We can always come back tomorrow, ne?”
“Can...”
They all pause as Sasuke interjects. “...yes?”
Looking torn and a little embarrassed, he fiddles with the hem of his shirt. “Can...can I go, too...?”
Ryū quickly perks up. “...of course you can! Do...do we need to ask your parents, first?”
“I'll take care of that!” Summoning a little toad, Jiraiya sends it off hopping toward the Uchiha district, bearing a message. “Surely they know he's in good hands with the mighty Jiraiya!”
Laughing, Ryū turns back to Sasuke. “I guess that's a yes!”
Naruto pouts, but for once doesn't argue. Instead, he just stubbornly takes his sister's hand, tugging her toward home. “C'mon...”
“Okay!” Reaching, she uses her free one to take Sasuke's. “Let's go, ne?”
Stumbling a bit, the little Uchiha eventually falls into step, giving their hands a few glances on the way.
Once home, Ryū bustles about to make dinner, Jiraiya picking up his scattered writing to make room for the boys' homework on the table. Sitting along one side, he points at the problems, explaining the method as Naruto nods along. Seated between them, Sasuke starts out looking nervous, but seems to slowly settle in and listen.
Behind them, Ryū just smiles to herself.
One dinner and two sheets of homework later, the four of them are still seated around the table, sipping tea as Jiraiya tells one of the innumerable stories from his younger days.
“So there we were, surrounded by a hundred enemy shinobi! My team was all wounded, and I knew...it was all up to me...!”
Both boys stare up in wonder, expressions agape and hanging on his every word, tea long forgotten. Ryū sips her own, smiling against the rim of her mug as the doorbell sounds. “I'll get it!”
Sliding the door open, she comes up short as she finds none other than Itachi. “...oh!”
The other tween gives a brief smile. “I heard my little brother is here...?”
“Ah, y-yes! He joined us for dinner. Tōchan said he'd sent a message...?”
“It arrived. However, it's getting late – otōsan asked me to bring him home.”
Ryū wilts ever so slightly. “Sure! Would you like to come in...?”
“That's all right – we'd best get going.”
Nodding, she looks back into the belly of the house. “Sasuke-kun! Your brother is here to take you home!”
Looking over, the little Uchiha hesitates. “But the story isn't over yet...!”
Jiraiya gives him a thoughtful look. “...well then! You'll just have to come back soon to hear the rest! How's that sound?” A hand ruffles the boy's hair.
“Okay...” Sasuke starts dragging his feet toward the door.
“Thank you, by the way...”
“Hm?” Ryū looks back.
“For letting him tag along. I had a brief mission this afternoon,” Itachi explains. There's a tired tinge to his expression.
She smiles. “Of course! We were happy to have him – he can come over any time. He's been wonderful company.”
The elder Uchiha manages a small smile as Sasuke finally gets his shoes on. “Ready to go?”
“Mhm.” Turning to Ryū, the boy offers, “Thank you for having me.”
“You're welcome! Come back any time you want, ne? We'll have more tea and stories.” She winks an eye. “Be careful with those shuriken, ne?”
Sasuke quickly goes pink. “...I-I will.”
Itachi gives him a questioning look before offering, “Thank you again. Perhaps we'll see each other again soon, Ryū-san.”
“I hope so!” Waving, she watches them go, seeing Sasuke pantomime something with his hand as they leave.
“Byeee!” Naruto calls from behind her, making her laugh as she shuts the door.
“See, that wasn't so bad, was it Naruto?”
“...guess not.”
“Maybe he can come over again soon.”
Jiraiya and the boy exchange a look.
“Now...since I made dinner, how about you two do dishes, ne?”
“Ehhh?!”
“It's only fair!”
“I, eh...I've got a draft to finish!”
“Tōchan!”
“Kidding, kidding...”
Ahhh, sorry this took so long Mitsuki! I’ve been so slow lately, haha. Chapter Summary:  Sasuke isn’t so concerned with the idea of peace—he thinks it’s flawed, and no matter how good the intention, it is doomed to fail. But he can see that Sakura believes in it
Chapter Beta: Sakura’s Unicorn
戦国時代
Sasuke paces outside his brother’s quarters, guarding the door lest anyone get through and see Sakura. Although she’s disguised once more as a common healer, he can’t help feeling anxious. She wasn’t foolish enough to walk in here using henge, but a scarf covering her hair and forehead don’t disguise her enough for his tastes. It’s hard to gaze upon her and imagine her as ordinary. But in a camp where the vast majority of soldiers have some form of dōjutsu that can detect deception? If they are discovered, they’ll both be undone. Sasuke could face his own people’s harsh judgement and she could…
He doesn’t want to think about it too much…which is a novelty as he’s never shied away from contemplating unpleasant outcomes before.
There’s a sudden ripple in the canvas beside him and Sakura’s hand motions him inside. He follows, eyes adjusting to the dim light—anything too bright hurts his brother’s eyes these days—and closes the tent flap behind him.
Itachi dozes on his pallet, a worryingly pale figure, though Sasuke notes that his breathing isn’t as laboured as it was before. There’s only the slightest rattle in his lungs when he inhales.
“I’ve done everything I can,” Sakura tells him quietly, “but it’s a challenging case.”
Sasuke tenses. “Challenging how? What’s wrong with him?”
“I’ve treated the symptoms—the hemoptysis and retinal hemorrhaging, so his breathing and sight will be better for a while. I also detected a heart murmur, although I don’t think that was a related issue,” she informs him wearily. “But that’s all they were—symptoms. There’s an underlying condition that’s causing all of that, and I need more time to isolate it.”
“How much time?”
“I don’t know,” she admits, apologetic. “This doesn’t seem to be any disease or virus that I’m familiar with which means it’s either very new—or ancient. I must research it.”
“I’ll get you scrolls,” Sasuke declares. “We have medical texts…maybe someone missed something. There’s a medic as well. Yakushi Ka—”
“Yakushi Kabuto,” Sakura scoffs in contempt, and for the first time, an ugly expression appears on her face. “I’ve heard of him. No more than a glorified necromancer.”
“Even if he is, he’s kept my people alive this long,” Sasuke defends. This isn’t out of loyalty to the other man, so much as resentment for the insinuation that he would place his forces in the hands of a hack medic.
“If he had anything here that could help, he would’ve found it already and you wouldn’t have sought me out,” she replies, gently but firmly. “No, I need to go through better records. And all of my scrolls are…are back…”
Sakura’s voice trails off as if she doesn’t want to remind them both that she has to return home—to his enemies.
That technically, she is his enemy.
“You need to go,” he says, for his own benefit as the tone leaves no room for argument.
“Yes. But… I’ll be back. Itachi-sama will need weekly treatments. They’ll buy us time while I figure out how to cure him.”
Sasuke hesitates. It was difficult enough sneaking her in here once; it would tempt fate to do so repeatedly and over an indefinite period.
Sakura appears to follow his train of thought because she scowls at him, hands on her hips. “He is my patient, Sasuke-kun. You can be damned sure I’ll be back here every week to help him. If that’s not what you wanted, you shouldn’t have brought me here.”
There is too much about that sentence that’s true.
Slowly, Sasuke nods, and Sakura’s storm cloud expression fades away. She looks surprised at how easily he gave in. She’s not the only one.
“All right. I’m going.”
“Wait. I’ll bring you to the edge of camp,” Sasuke says, reaching for the tent flap.
“I wouldn’t do that, if I were you,” a familiar, bored voice interjects. Sasuke nearly jumps back in shock when his former sensei, Hatake Kakashi, ducks into the tent.
Damn it! How did I not notice he was there?!
Though it shouldn’t be a surprise because Kakashi has always appeared in places he shouldn’t be or isn’t expected to turn up. It’s a talent that Sasuke’s father capitalised on when he asked the man to mentor not only Sasuke, but his brother Itachi before him. That Kakashi isn’t an Uchiha speaks to the skills he possesses, especially if Sasuke’s rigid, pedigree-obsessed father took notice.
Sakura adopts a respectful, unassuming stance, her eyes to the ground and shoulders hunched forward, as if she is only a humble village healer in the presence of her betters. It irritates Sasuke to see—her strength is one of her defining features, and hiding it is insulting, but necessary.
“What are you doing here?” he demands of the older man, annoyed. Perhaps they can play this whole scene off as what it’s supposed to look like. Neither he nor Sakura have said anything particularly questionable and, as far as Kakashi’s concerned, she really is just some healer Sasuke brought in to help his brother. It’s not like it’s the first time that’s happened.
The white-haired man’s eyes focus on Sakura. His expression is impossible to read beneath his ever-present mask, but Sasuke knows he is sizing her up with the same scrutiny as any Sharingan-user might. Had Kakashi been born with the Uchiha dōjutsu, Sasuke suspects he would’ve been one of the clan’s most dangerous members.
“I took a wrong turn on the way to the toilet,” Kakashi says mildly. “Trying to take the long route since the guard changed—Inabi and his squad, you know? I don’t much care for any of them.” He says it in a bored, casual way, as if he’s just expressing an opinion, but Sasuke frowns as he gets the underlying message.
Inabi and his crew are some of the more volatile men under his command—effective, if bloodthirsty, soldiers in the field and brutally loyal to the Uchiha cause. But there have been several incidents involving village women lately.
If Sakura were to end up in their crosshairs…
Sasuke knows she would destroy them. That isn’t the part that bothers him; his cousin’s behaviour dishonours the clan. In the long run, having him dealt with would do Sasuke a favour. But Inabi is still popular within the clan. His death would draw attention to Sakura and could cause another flare up between the two warring sides. Things have been calm the past few weeks and, at this point, Sasuke is keen on keeping it that way. Especially because, if everyone is on the lookout for Sakura, she won’t be able to help Itachi.
Sasuke meets Kakashi’s gaze now, and realises that not only is the man thinking several steps ahead, but he is also perfectly aware of who Sakura is.
Why am I not surprised?  Sasuke thinks in annoyance. He has yet to figure out a way to hide anything from Kakashi. Besides Itachi, the man’s observational skills are legendary.
Out loud, Sasuke decides, “I’ll take her the back way then.”
“No, you can’t,” Sakura says at the same time Kakashi points out, “That’s a bad idea.”
They look at each other, and understanding passes between them.
“You need plausible deniability in the unlikely event she gets caught,” Kakashi says. “If her identity is discovered and she has to make a scene getting out of here, you don’t want to be anywhere nearby. If you’re seen with her, your loyalties will be publicly in question.”
Sasuke opens his mouth to argue, but Sakura takes up the rest of the argument.
“With your brother ill, people are already taking bets on who’ll take over if something should happen to him or you. On our side, definitely, but I imagine it’s the same here.”
“If you’re taken out of the succession, who’s to say it won’t be Inabi who takes over?”
“That’s absurd. If anything happened to me, Obito will lead the Uchiha,” Sasuke returns. “Everyone knows that.”
The clan rules about blood and inheritance are clear: the individual with the closest claim to Madara’s bloodline is the one in charge.
“Which is a tragedy all by itself,” Kakashi says with an overdramatic sigh. “The man is a moron.”
“Did I not hear something about him being your best friend?” Sakura asks curiously.
Sasuke shoots her a surprised glance and Kakashi’s face twitches beneath his mask.
“It depends upon the day of the week,” he admits. “So…you know who I am then?”
“I almost killed you once,” she tells him with a tiny smirk. “And I remember the hair.”
“You’re one to talk about hair. Although, if I’d been any slower, you would’ve buried me alive,” Kakashi agrees. “You’ve truly inherited your master’s strength.” He doesn’t bother hiding his admiration.
Sasuke makes an impatient noise. The ease with which they are conversing bothers him. Sakura notices and offers him a cheeky, confident grin.
“I’ll be fine,” she assures him. “If I can’t slip through an enemy camp, I’m not a very good shinobi. And we both know that’s not the case.”
“I don’t care about that,” Sasuke lies. “What are you going to tell your people when you get there? You’ve been missing since at least last night.” He carefully avoids seeing if Kakashi caught the implication of that. “They’ll expect you to say where you’ve been.”
Sakura’s grin fades, and her playful demeanour shifts back into the business-like medic who examined his brother. “I have a certain amount of freedom,” she tells him coolly. “I have to be able to move around on a whim to find herbs and other medicinal components. If I have to check in with someone all the time, I can’t do my job. It’s one reason I was trained as I was—so that I don’t have to depend on anyone else to protect me but myself.”
She holds his gaze until he is forced to look away. It’s not something that happens to him often, but something about this annoying woman just undoes him.
“Do you realise how careful you have to be?” Kakashi prompts gravely, changing the subject. “If you mention to anyone among your people that you’re helping Uchiha Itachi—”
“I know. It’s treason.”
“Not only that. It could jeopardise any kind of future peace.”
Sasuke wasn’t expecting this and even Sakura appears confused. “How?”
“At the moment, people simply think Itachi suffers from a temporary illness. Everyone expects a recovery. If they were to discover it’s more complicated than that…” Kakashi explains quietly. “In war, when one side knows the enemy is in a weak position, they inevitably take advantage of it. There are factions on both sides of this who want an end to the war. But they also want it to end in their favour, and so, certain elements would use peace negotiations to do that.”
“That won’t happen,” Sakura insists. “Shishou wants what’s best for everyone. And Naruto—”
“I suspect you’re right,” Kakashi interrupts. “But people like Senju Tsunade and Uzumaki Naruto—Uchiha Itachi and Hyūga Hiashi, even—have to decide based on the will of the people who follow them. If they don’t, they risk being disobeyed. Too many people have lost loved ones in this war.”
All three of them are quiet for a beat here.
“Furthermore,” Kakashi continues, “there are those who never had any love for the Uchiha at all. Even before the days of Madara and Hashirama. A peace where one side is at a disadvantage from the beginning is a peace that’s destined to be broken. It’s what caused this war to last as long as it has. And I may be wrong, but I don’t think either of you want history to repeat itself in that way.”
He eyes them both now, knowing, and Sasuke has to fight down the rush of blood to his face. This time it’s Sakura who looks away. Obviously, Kakashi’s guessed exactly what Sasuke didn’t want him to.
“For now, you need to wait and keep this a secret,” Kakashi continues. “Until Itachi is in better condition, the issue of peace can’t be broached. Not while there’s a chance he might be accused of being influenced by another person or even by his illness.”
This time, the tense silence is not one of remembrance, but of the possible consequences of failure.
Sasuke isn’t so concerned with the idea of peace—he thinks it’s flawed, and no matter how good the intention, it’s doomed to fail. But he can see that Sakura believes in it, and Kakashi—for all his detached nature—seems to hold hopes of his own. As it is, secrecy is the only chance he has of keeping his brother alive, and so he opts to work toward that goal. If Itachi still wants peace when he’s recovered, then Sasuke will do his utmost to ensure it.
But that’s such a long way off. He can’t get ahead of himself.
Sakura watches as if she wants to reach out to him—to touch his face, or put her arms around him, or even kiss him. Mindful of their audience, she refrains.
Kakashi catches the by-play, however.
“Anyhow—I’ll go make sure the back way is free,” he says, eyes crinkling up in a light-hearted smile that belies his earlier gravity. “You should be on your way as soon as you can.”
He disappears with a puff of smoke.
Sakura fights off a smile. “He’s a character, isn’t he?”
“So, it would seem,” Sasuke hedges. “But he’s right. You need to go.”
“Yes,” she says, but doesn’t move.
Something in the way she looks at him just then is reminiscent of what he saw in the firelight of the cave. It’s a little softer, but no less powerful, and he shifts uncomfortably at the sight of it.
Sasuke’s eyes drift to where his brother sleeps, almost worried that he might be awake and witness to this, but Itachi remains in a peaceful state of unconsciousness. When Sasuke looks back, Sakura has moved to stand directly in front of him. If she weren’t so short, they might be nose to nose.
“Before I go, I want to say thank you,” she says, breathless.
“For what?”
“For before. It was my…that was the first time I…” she trails off, red-faced now, gazing at him from beneath her lashes with a shyness he finds uncharacteristic. “I’m glad it was with you.”
His mouth goes dry when he realises what she’s talking about. “You barely know me,” he says stiffly, ignoring the way his stomach jumps pleasantly at her words.
“I know you’re a good man. Stubborn, but good. And I want to know more. Maybe next time, we’ll be able to talk afterwards.”
Sasuke’s eyes widen.
Next time? Afterwards?!
“I will be back,” she vows to him over her shoulder as she leaves the tent. “We’ve bought some time; let’s use it to the best of our abilities.”
And then she’s gone.
