The Naruto fandom really showed how nasty they can become it’s disgusting. Learn how to separate character and real life. Hating on Sakura just wasn’t enough so you started giving her voice actor the same treatment?! Just wtf is wrong with some people here? Instead of wishing a human being, Chie Nakamura, a great recovery for smth theres no real cure available yet, or at least have the decency to just keep your mouth shut, y’all decided to be nasty? she had to withdraw from her project cz it’s SERIOUS. and you’re here like „lol, deserve for voicing Sakura“, „we don’t need you anyway“ and sh*ts and giggles. Honest question, have your parents dropped y’all when you were toddlers? Where you neglected? cz wtf is this behavior?
I wish Chie a great and hopefully fast recovery!

You know I had to..... :)
Besides the clear lack of romantic interest in Sakura and Hinata from Sasuke and Naruto, respectively, Kishimoto made it clear that both Sakura and Hinata were selfish in their “love” for Sasuke and Naruto, respectively. Everything was catered toward how the women felt towards the men. Or rather how the girls felt towards the boys. Since they were all still underage at the 4th war.
While some people may believe that love is inherently selfish, I believe that it can be the most unselfish and giving thing ever.
Narusaku: (Naruto) Naruto has risked his life and saved Sakura more times than you can count. Though Naruto clearly loved her, he promised to get Sasuke back for her benefit. He was so pained when he saw Sakura hurt over Sasuke. (Sakura) She has saved Naruto on many occasions as well no matter how much people like to discredit her. She has healed him on multiple occasions. She has cheered him on and thought about his happiness and dream. She literally had his heart in her hands, helping it beat. (If this is not symbolic of love, Idk what is). Though Sakura wanted to get stronger on her own accord and not be left behind, she wanted to get stronger to take some burden off of NARUTO. She broke down crying when hearing Naruto’s feelings.
NaruSasu: We can see from the beginning that Naruto and Sasuke were always bickering, but from the beginning Sasuke threw himself in front of Haku’s spears to save Naruto without even thinking about it. Sasuke mentions Naruto as his one true friend (I don’t know any people that calls their “friends” one true friend” that has such romantic connotation. like dude you could have just said only friend or best friend). (Naruto) We see how Naruto is willing to bow and plead for Sasuke, how relentless he is chasing him, how he lets Karui (I thiink? choji’s wife) punch him until he is bruised (not like the slapstick/tsundere comedic punches Sakura gives Naruto which amount is exaggerated). How he goes to bat with him. How he loses his arm. Pretty grim but the blood flowing from their lost arms creates a heart.....how can you deny this??? (I am pro-Narusasu as well, but Sakura never severed a body part of Naruto’s...the comedic punches left bumps that disappeared in the next frames. That’s not how real bruises work. Like how he looked after Karui punched him or fighting with Sasuke or any actual fight)
SasuKarin: Sasuke jeopardizes his mission to save her. The only time where he is mentioned to enter into true darkness is when he attacks her, not when he attacks Sakura. Like you could have replaced Sakura in that scene if Sakura was so romantically important to him then but noooo it was Karin). (Karin) And we all know that Karin goes to the extreme to protect Sasuke.
The 4th war shows everyone’s romantic priorities as well.
Karin was mowing down people with her chains trying to get to Sasuke.
Sasuke was protecting Naruto.
Sakura protecting and being protected by Naruto. Sakura saving Naruto by pumping his heart.
Hinata...Hinata tripped over a rock.
*Hinata jumped in from of the spears but ultimately Neji was the one making the ultimate sacrifice. When instead of just standing there, Hinata should have rotated the spears away like Neji is able to. If Neji had enough time to jump behind Hinata, Hinata had plenty of time to try and deflect at least. Neji I could understand if his time was limited...but his death was just so pointless. they did him wrong.
I actually felt like Hinata’s character could have been saved if throughout the series we saw her making changes to her personality and taking training seriously, learning new moves. Like she’s famous for her one panel scenes, show her training at the hyuuga compound at least. I honestly felt like with this, if she actually did die instead of Neji, I would have liked it more. Not only for the Hyuuga main branch/lower branch situation but in general.
People like to say he was prioritizing the world over love, but Sasuke didn’t even attempt to save Sakura. He was going to let her fall in lava and he didn’t even seem shocked or resigned to it. It was like...meh. TIMBER!!!
We didn’t see a SasuKarin scene in 4th war like the fighting together but she was trying her damnest to get to him. Meanwhile, Hinata is splayed out on the floor while cloaked with Kuruma’s chakra shared by Naruto with everyone.

Selfish bitch or shy introvert?
Though I only liked her as far as her potential in pt.1, Hinata quickly became a nonfactor

It doesn’t matter what you did LATER your first thought should be your teamate.
2. neji’s dead body
thinking how manly naruto’s hands are right above neji’s dead body.
then goes on to pray for said dead enslaved cousin to save naruto….again. Instead of…oh I don’t know getting her ass up off the ground (after being bested by a rock of all things) and try and help.
As sasuke-blind as they made Sakura in some instances, sakura would not stoop so low.
Main branch cares about lower branch only when they are useful to them
3. ignoring orders to not jump in pain fight->. she herself admitsshe was selfish and she almost caused naruto to dies and kyuubi get stolen/destruction of konoha
4. (in the shitshow that is the boruto series) her running to naruto when village is attacked instead of staying with her children. Boruto was with Naruto yes, but her mind wasn’t with Boruto, it was thinking about Naruto. And she left Himawari behind.
Hinata’s not an active duty ninja anymore plus all she does is end up in hospital…taken care of by who?? sakura.
5. When Naruto and Boruto return to village (in the dumpsterfire that is the boruto series) she runs and hugs Naruto. Bitch, what about your son?
As a NS fan, that initially liked NH with pt.1 chuunin exam hinata, I tried to give Hinata the benefit of the doubt and say ‘at least she is kind’ but no I think she is just shy/quiet. Her actions are selfish.
6. prioritizing Naruto over Hanabi in The Last (what bs of a movie)
Hinata is not kind, she is just shy/quiet.
Keep in mind a lot of psychopaths/serial killer are also this way. Shy/quiet doesn’t automatically mean kind.

Shina Next Gen: Team Seven Chunin
Hozuki Mizu:
The son of Karin and Suigetsu
Has his mother's incredible Chakra and stamina, and an interest in collecting swords and traveling. However does not have healing powers
He is a citizen of both the Hidden Leaf and hidden mist due to his mother now being a citizen
Is not very close with his dad growing up due to them living in separate villages however when Suigetsu and Karin decide to try a functional relationship they begin to get closer
He tends to be extremely serious and very literal
Ultimate move is adding his mass Chakra to any weapon to increase their power tenfold
Uchiha Mikoto:
First child of Sasuke.
She has both byakugan and sharingan. She tries hard to access both but put lots of strain on her body. By the time she reaches chunin, she is able to use both for a very short period of time
Spent most of her childhood traveling with her parents
Does not do very well in terms of genjutsu. But is able to distinguish certain types
Very close with Shikadai and her teammates and sees them as family.
Shinachiku calls her Micchan. Due to his crush on her
Mikoto is very stand offish, observant, and blunt. Yet when you get to know her she is sweet. Much like her father Sasuke.
Her ultimate move is gentle step, twin lion fist lightning style
Uzumaki Shinachiku:
Son of Naruto and Sakura
Shinachiku takes after his mother with healing however, much like his father he enjoys battling. He uses his knowledge in medicine and healing to attack, much like Mikotos mother Miyako.
He uses a rassngan but can also use it to heal
Has had a crush on Mikoto since they were children but seemingly she never returns his feelings
Shina is sort of shy at time yet goofy and loves good jokes. He is very sweet and respectful
Ultimate move is rasen-senbons. Able to disperse senbons from his rasengan
Team 7:
A team already put together since birth. Starting a new tradition of UzuUchiHozu.
Before graduation from the academy they were always surrounded by each other due to their parents.
Their sensei is Rock Lee
They excel in combat with Mikoto as ranted, Mizu as attack, and Shina on defense and healing.
They succeeded in the bell test without any prior knowledge of it
To further their training, Mizu trains with Sasuke. Mikoto with Kakashi (whom she sees as an uncle) and Shina with Miyako, Mikoto's mother.

One of the reasons Narusaku fans are still angry is because of a Story principal called chekhov's gun.
Chekhov's gun is a dramatic principle that states that every element in a story must be necessary, and irrelevant elements should be removed; elements should not appear to make "false promises" by never coming into play.
Which is why some people who hate the ending will never get over it. We were told that the previous generation will surpass the next and given so many hints of Sakura's feelings changing even Kishimoto said in a interview that Sakura's confession wasn't a total lie the lie was she no longer cared for Sasuke.
Even the talk with Yamato to Sakura while she was healing Naruto said, "All that matters is Your feelings for Naruto".
Even as far back as part 1 Konohamaru and Gamakichi called Sakura 'Naruto's Girlfriend
Not to mention the Parallels between
Obito Rin, Naruto's parents, and many others.
Now, NaruHina's development consists of Filler moments mixed with Manga moments, some moments with potential only to follow with pretending it never happened or Hinata falling or overfuxating on Naruto rather than the danger.
And Filler episodes of Part 1 and A movie that literally wrote off the entire narrative and adding "moments". To justify it and even morphing Hinata's shy nature to something similar to Kushina when angry.

this sht made my blood boil. you really had to erase narutos love for Sakura to make it seem like he just did it cz of his rivalry with sasuke. and even then, the hurt look of Naruto after she said “a woman never forgets her first love” yeah. he never loved her right? shut up.
that’s why I don’t like the ending. I don’t hate NH cz it was my first ship and it’ll forever stay that way. I can’t hate it. But even NH shippers have to admit that they had to rewrite history to make NH canon. the only major moments they had was that one during pain and war arc + fillers.The last was not Naruto in the end. Naruto was guilt tripped by EVERYONE. For not noticing hinatas advances or her love. I couldn’t finish watching the movie cz it broke my heart.
even the non shippers hated it and it’s justified cz this was supposed to be the last ever movie of Naruto. Smth we should’ve gotten to complete the story of Naruto. smth to always come back to if we miss it or want to awaken some old childhood memories. And what did we got. Hinata this. Hinata that. Where’s hinata. Why don’t you notice hinata. hinata-sama. Hyuga princess. I mean???
how did she go from being a side character to an even more important character than Naruto? It was like a fanfiction. yes 50% of ppl hate the ending cz of the ship but the other 50 hate it cz it ruined the whole series for the non shipper.

i firmly believe all of team7 love each other they have an unbreakable bond, but i really don’t believe that sasuke is IN love with sakura, he loves her but not that way. and with sakuras character development i feel she really did move on from him, of course she still loves him but not that way. and also there is no way in hell naruto is in love with hinata, im sorry hinata i love you but its fake, i physically cant believe how appauling the ending is whenever i think about it it makes me angry AHHHHH.

I remembered watch the Last Naruto episode, Hinata’s wedding, when it came out years ago.
It was definitely everything SHE wanted, but I didn’t get that same feeling from Naruto. Not only was his trademark smile absent, but to me it seemed like a chore rather than something he wanted to do. Naruto is a fun-loving, cheerful, loud (etc) guy. His usual cheerfulness was absent.
If they wanted to make drama, I was kind of waiting for Naruto or even HInata herself to pause and say they didn’t want to get married. But. alas, the farce continued.
I feel like both Naruto and Hinata’s characters got shitted on by putting them together. Any development flew out the window and into the dumpster. It was very sad to watch.
It felt like it was focused more on other characters than actually Naruto for me. I think the only thing that struck a cord with me is Naruto asking if Iruka can represent him as his “father” figure. Now THAT. That made sense.
I don’t know how to explain it but in that episode and all scenes later forcing NH, the glow about Naruto has just been sucked away. It feels....lifeless.

There are a lot of issues I have with the Boruto series, Boruto Manga, The Last (just total garbage..ahem), and the Naruto series ending.. But I have always tried to at least watch/read it, so I could make sure it wasn’t shipping bias like so many blind supporters always claims is the issue.
It is just so nonsensical and boring. Besides the old gen, the characters are not believable as ninjas, the story is lame, I just can’t get engaged into this franchise. I even tried to treat it like an AU, but that doesn’t make the story any better or interesting. A lot of its fans say, “just read the manga” ....that’s not any better. In fact, its only cool point is that it progresses faster than the anime and has more action.
I also just don’t find Naruto and Hinata believable as a couple (no history, no chemistry, no interest, no affection shown at all, like I literally feel no love between them...so bland). And yes I know this is supposed to be the new gen story, but the old gen is just as apart of this as they are, so you can’t really separate the two.
I think someone mentioned that the series should have followed The legend of Korra, and had it start many decades after the old gen prime, even though a lot of ninjas live to old age. It would have helped more.
Anyway, I did find a couple fanfics that I did enjoy. Many because it focused on a father-son dynamic than the forced relationship between Naruto and Hinata. Some I saw even gave Hinata a character outside of being a housewife. Some even included a natural progression between the two rather than brainwashing.

1. Calamity by Anjelle on AO3(I think this has to be my favorite out of the list)
2. The New Dawn by Code Musica on FF (I really liked the concept of a Dark!Boruto and how the issues of the system that Naruto promised to fix was not just glossed over like in the Boruto series/manga)
3. What I wouldn’t do for you by Alabaster Ink on FF (Warning: been incomplete for a while but I loved it)
