youtube
Introduction: In the vibrant world of teenage emotions, Zharia Amel brings a refreshing authenticity to her latest music video, "Toxic." This R&B sensation takes us on a journey of heartbreak and self-discovery, addressing the complexities of avoiding toxic relationships in the teenage landscape.
The Soundtrack of Teenage Resilience: "Toxic" explores the poignant narrative of a young girl navigating the pitfalls of a harmful relationship. Zharia's soulful voice harmonizes with the emotions of countless teenagers who have faced similar struggles. The melodic chorus, where she sings "We don't belong together," becomes an anthem for resilience and self-preservation.
Visual Storytelling: The music video beautifully complements the song's narrative. Dancing Through Heartbreak: The rooftop dance sequence becomes a powerful metaphor for Zharia's journey. As she and her friends move through choreography, the skyline behind them represents the vast expanse of emotions one experiences during heartbreak. It's a visual feast that captures the essence of the song — a blend of pain, resilience, and the pursuit of joy.
The Art of Avoidance: In "Toxic," Zharia showcases the art of avoiding toxic relationships. Instead of succumbing to the pain, she immerses herself in moments of joy with friends. The video sends a positive message to teenagers, emphasizing the importance of surrounding oneself with positivity during challenging times.
Zharia Amel: The Voice of Teenage Resilience: At a young age, Zharia Amel emerges as a voice for her generation. Her ability to translate complex emotions into a melodic journey is a testament to her artistry. "the real story there is… [my younger sister] died when i was 18, so all my formative experiences with writing music were writing about this massive, heavy, big loss and grief… it’s such a fertile place to write from, and i’d felt a little bit resigned, not in a comfortable way, just like, okay, my place in life as a writer is to write about loss through the lens of age… we all say, like, “i can’t get relationships right,” “i don’t do this,” “i’m bad at this.” and when you have a big shift… which was really meeting my person, it’s brilliant and amazing, but it’s also destabilizing ’cause you have to deal with all of the past, where you lived by this code that was bullshit." — jack antonoff

FREE PROMPT: Jasico

Using this to plug my Victorian Jasico AU: A Piece Out of Place.
Set in Victorian England, Mount Olympus has moved with Western Civilization to the top of Big Ben. The children of Gods, live in Half Blood Hollow where they are not only able to live until they are older, they are expected to do so that the houses of Olympus Can diversify and grow through mutually beneficial marriages.
Nico and Bianca who usually spend spring in the underworld are thrust into the world of the Olympian court for the first time in their lives. And although they are trained in all of the etiquette nothing could have prepared them for sinister plot that hides in the intrigues of court life … nor for unexpected romances that compels them into it all.
I will come up with a better summary later when we actually pot the darn thing but that is it gonna happen this week.
I know at least one person who will appreciate this.
I know I only mentioned Nico and Bianca. But obviously Jason is a view point character. The other main character is Alabaster Torrington. (Bc it’s me yah know?)

I have a hc
It’s midnight in nyc, you and Loki are sitting on the rooftop watching time go by. Loki smirks softly as they get an idea and gets up, offering you a hand. You gladly take it and you are pulled into their arms. They put their head in the crook of your neck as you two slow dance with each other. You smile and put your arms around their neck, following their lead. It was perfect, the both of you dancing in the moonlight as the sirens wail; the lights flash; the cars beeping at each their in anger and joy as they zoom down the streets; then it was the two of you, calm as chaos brings out in the old New York City. “I love you” you whisper in Lokis ear, you feel them smirk again in your neck. “I love you too, goddess” they muffle, you chuckle softly and enjoy the time, with them.
