I think one of the main reasons why I don't go out of my way to follow a lot of people on socials even if I think their art is amazing is because at least half the time, they're shitting on the canon source material and act very big-headed. It happens too often.
#applies to all fandoms ofc#but especially ml atm#i remember i was suddenly being followed by this big artist on ig#and they drew so much pretty marinette art#and i was like okay i'll follow back#and then i see them posting marinette hate in their stories after Kuro Neko dropped#and i was like yo wtf#quickly unfollowed#i don't have time to background check every single artist whose art I like man#i genuinely love ml#with its flaws and everything#i don't mind when people do some sane critiques on the show#and i know everyone will have differing opinions#but my days it is such a pain when a hater comes into the fandom and draws fanart for the clout#and they get praised for it????#literally 10 years ago i used to follow soooooo many people on all socials#now i have to keep it as limited as possible#no one can enjoy anything in peace

also funfact, that doesn't mean that criticizing the government of Pakistan makes you an anti-muslim. Even though, Pakistan was founded for the Muslim people to practice their religion freely. Literally. Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
You can still criticize Pakistan in literally any aspect that is breaking laws or being immoral. Still doesn't make you an anti-muslim. That's because religion is not the same as politics.
you can't use the argument that just because a state was established on religious bases criticizing it automatically makes you anti-that-religion.

For those who don't know, Rafah Crossing is closed. Meaning Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are technically not allowed to go into Egypt through Rafah Crossing (with exceptions, like holding a foreign passport) so in order to evacuate, Palestinians need to bribe Egyptian border security officials. The standard price used to be about $5000 - 7000 per person but some Palestinians have been told to pay $10,000 per person just to cross the border, forget other expenses like food and boarding.
For a group of people who are enduring genocide and the complete destruction of their homes that money is impossible to raise without the help of fundraising. That and the collapse of the UNRWA is the reason you're seeing so many Gofundmes nowadays. The entire aid system is gone with the exception of local aid organisations that have limited reach.
So if you see a credible fundraiser, please at the very least share it so it can reach more people. This list by @el-shab-hussein is a good place to start.
