If Rena didn't know it was Robin, treat it like any other cute animal she sees:

"Here, you can have some of Rena's lunch. Doesn't this fried chicken smell good? Here, try it!"

Odd things that have occurred around me:
> childhood neighbor with house full of dolls who may or may not have poisoned her husband to death got their house randomly cleaved in half by a fallen tree
> our black cat named midnight disappeared never to be found again on Halloween night
> our other cat lived longer than her body functioned and refused to go even after the first shot to put her down. She was 23.
> My mom left a traveling group early. The next day they all got in a crash. Most died, one was made paraplegic.
> Got rear-ended in a car-totaling crash that shoved us right between a light pole and a steep hill
> Told my cousin I didn’t believe in ghosts and was rewarded an hour later with a store cooler door swinging open as I passed it for no reason.
> Heard what sounded like radio chatter very quietly in my headphones on and off for a couple weeks
> Had a visceral, vivid dream that I got kidnapped, lived there for years with other kids, then the police and our families came but none of us wanted to leave because we felt it was home. I can still remember exactly what The Compound looked like, where I kept my things, my secret stash, my team, and the area we trained in. (I have had many vivid dreams but this one messed me up for days)

hello and welcome to fic rec friday! where, on friday, i rec five of my favourite fics.
These Walls Have Ears by notverystraight
Before Lance’s friends arrive at his apartment for their weekly movie night, Keith is in Hunk’s car on the phone to Lance, trying to explain why they’re late, again.
Mid conversation, Keith drops his phone under the seat.
Assuming Lance has hung up, Pidge and Hunk start pestering Keith about certain feelings that he may be harboring, leading to some quite personal confessions.
Little do they know, Lance has not hung up, and is listening in on every word. Shenanigans ensue.
the second best part of this fic is how sweet and funny this is. this fic is blushy and silly and dorky and so so so!!! it is just fun and garrison trio my love. the BEST part of this fic is lance knowing hes hot shit
2. That Won't Last, He's Gay and She's An Alien by notverystraight
Lance didn’t know what he’d expected to see when he came onto the Garrison’s training deck, but it definitely wasn’t this.
Keith was panting with exertion, pinning someone to the ground with the edge of his training sword just brushing their neck. And by someone, Lance meant Acxa, one of Lotor’s old half-Galra generals.
Or, Lance walks in on Keith and Acxa sparring. He has not-so-mixed feelings about it.
usually every jealousy trope fic i read induces the PHATTEST eye roll literally of all time but this one made me laugh lol. its just such a ridiculous concept and its fun basically. also krolia lowkey being a thot is hilarious
3. Go the Distance by orphan_account [EXPLICIT]
Keith is a sprinter, Lance runs long distance. Despite not competing against each other directly and despite the fact that they're training to bring glory to the same high school track team, the two end up becoming rivals who are wholeheartedly committed to victory. Along the way, however, they find themselves awfully sidetracked by the other's inspiring legs--er, skills. Much fluff and smut and no angst.
bro lance is SUCH a goober 😭😭 he gets himself into the most embarrassing situations and there is truly no one he can blame but himself. honestly this one is such a fun read and if the explicit warning bothers you, it's not the whole fic! you can easily skip it. the rivalry and getting together is just as fun and stupid as you'd expect from them truly
4. Haunted House Hang-Up by Creatortan
Keith runs a paranormal investigation YouTube channel with his friend, Pidge.
Pidge is friends with Hunk, who is friends with Lance, who is very, very haunted. And also, very, very pretty.
oh my LORD i love this. nd team? check. supernatural fuckery? check. cute flowery lance? check. dorky suave keith? check. side of hot firefighter shiro? check. just an 11/10 in general top notch
5. Rambling by Creatortan
Lance was a talkative person, and he thought he had accepted that.
no seriously bc the Can't Shut Up Syndrome is the Worst side effect of adhd and other nd's tbh. i hate the way you're excited and you can feel yourself start to build and trip over your words but it doesn't matter bc it's so background! there's so much cool shit ur sharing!! and then you see the eyeroll or the shrug and it just comes crashing back on you so so quickly and hard and. god. this fic captured that so well

All the Liquors prev. Liquor (Korea Gaga & Viki) 8 eps - Liquor company rep and party boy Han Ji Yu buts heads (and other stuff? eh, it’s Korea, probably not) with hot chef Park Ki Hoon, who doesn't drink.
Heesu In Class 2 (Korea unknown prob Viki and/or Gaga) - A gay(er) version of Sex Education? Based on a webtoon. Heesu’s world revolves around Chanyoung, his best friend and secret crush. He doesn’t mind cheering Chanyoung from the sidelines or listening to all his girl problems. He doesn’t care if people only know him as “Chanyoung’s friend.” Then one day, Heesu starts hearing his name everywhere. On the bus, in the halls, during lunch… Turns out, there’s a rumor going around school (Got a love problem? Find Heesu in Class 2 and he’ll tell you what to do!) and with that, Heesu suddenly finds himself the center of attention. But how could he give anyone advice? He doesn’t even know what to do about his own crush!
I want this one to happen SO Bad but am very nervous about all the delays and connected sandals and lack of distribution so late in the game. It started filming in December and seems more of an ensemble cast with lots of mixed in het romance. So... ???

A Boss and a Babe (Thai YouTube) 12 eps - ForceBook in an office boss/employee. Chay is a sunshine gamer who wants to get big in the e-sports industry. However, his plans are dramatically altered when is made to intern at a company. There his boss Gun has him do some pretty weird errands, confusing Chay about his true intentions. What do Gun’s actions mean? And will Chay return back to his gaming life?
I’m optimistic, I want ForceBook to get another chance and I like a cheesy office romance.
03/04 (maybe March 9 international)
Love Syndrome (Thai unknown prob iQIYI or Gaga) 10 eps - trailer, based on a Y-novel, has side characters from Unforgotten Night but no crossover actors or other apparent connections. Day & It have been together for 2 years (looks like a violent off again on again thing). An accident leaves Day seriously injured and It blames himself then Day wakes up with amnesia. (Stars Frank formerly of FrankDrake.)

Pastsenger AKA Past-senger (Thai Gaga) 12 eps- Stars Marc (My Gear & Your Gown) and Cooper (My Engineer) who were both formerly paired with others, in a time travel paranormal that smacks of HIStory 5. Sunshine 90s kid travels to 2022, goes to university, encounters grumpy nerd.

Our Dating Sim (Korea unknown prob Viki) - What happens when two men, friends since schoo, meet again at work to create a dating simulation game together.
03/12 (maybe March 19 international)
Future the series (Thai YouTube & Gaga?) 5 eps - Based on a y-novel by Faddest (En of Love - yeah I didn’t know that was based on a novel, either). About, you guessed it, an engineering student and a dentist. Maybe this will be the FOTS we were all hoping for? Fuse (the engineering student) is played by Boom from the En of Love and is kinda the same character (Field). I think we can expect this one to be soft, it’s from the 21 Day Theory people.

A Shoulder to Cry On (Korea Viki & Gaga) 7 eps - Adaptation of Dongmul's manwha this is high school set and appears to feature a teasing confident gay and a rich/poor pairing, with themes of hurt/comfort and homophobia/gossip. One boy starts a dating rumor with another, putting the later’s archery scholarship in jeopardy. Stars idols Jaehan & Yechan BOTH from Kpop group OMEGA X.
THIS IS ONE OF MY MOST ANTICIPATED BLS OF 2023!!! I still can’t quite believe it will actually happen.

Unintentional Love Story (Korea iQIYI) 6 eps? - Ceramic artist Yoon Tae Joon has withdrawn from society, but Ji Won Young (an employee at a large company) tracks him down. Ji Won Young is intent on winning over the heart of Yoon Tae Joon as he's the company chairman's favorite artist. Stars actor Cha Seo Wo and idol Gongchan (maknae of B1A4).
Individual Circumstances mark 2? No thank you. But if I must, I must.

Make a Wish (Thai Viu) - trailer, stars Fluke Natouch (OhmFluke UWMA etc...) & Judo (The Miracle Of Teddy Bear) in a light-hearted medical-fantasy romance with a comedic flair. About a doctor who sees ghosts and a deity who resides in a Bodhi tree that earns merits whenever he fulfills a wish. He is shocked to find the doctor can actually see him and decides to help him find the reason for his ghostly ability. Thus begins a chaotic yet romantic journey. From a y-novel by Sammon (Manner of Death, Triage).
I’ll watch it if I can get hold of it. We’ve seen Fluke iwth other pairing before, and I like Sammon’s stuff.

Oh Stars this'll be a long one, but I just don't know who to contact other than the Office about this. I saw an ad for y'all's business and even though I was raised by ex-Circle members, I've never actually been involved in the paranormal or whatever the acceptable term is these days.
So to start, I live in Seattle but was born off-grid in a time fold. Not a big deal, just not many visitors. Functioned like normal and we could leave whenever. Just couldn't let anyone in if iykwm.
Because I left for good, therefore severing my connection, I'm mostly unable to return. Again, no big deal, but it is a little strange to not be able to see Sir and Ma'am anymore. But a month ago I started getting heat flashes and coughing up blood. I'm an extremely healthy 26 year old, I don't think I've ever even had a cold. But then it got worse, and every time I coughed up that blood, I'd cough up letters. They said shit like 'return to the fold' or 'time is worked into your blood, do not let it spill.'
I've been unable to sleep or eat and I have started puking up boxes that I refuse to open. I'm so close to breaking down. I have no clue what to do and I live alone. Please help me Norm. I'll tell you anything you want about the fold. I'll be loyal to the Office forever, I'll even give you info about the Circle my parents spilled when they were drunk. I'll do anything, I just don't want to die, or become some eldritch horror. I haven't even finished nursing school. Please.
Hey hey hey, woah now. Let's not get carried away. You don't need to swear loyalty to anyone. And frankly I know about as much about the Circle as I care to know. Anything else and I'll start seeing the interdimensional eels. We probably have the fold on file, but we also have to balance people's privacy with their ability to commit temporal crimes.
This does sound serious, though. What I'm going to suggest is an observation period in one of our physical locations. If you're comfortable with it, we can get some Yellow Circle folks to monitor your condition.
I have a hunch that this may be a little....empty nest syndrome. Empty hatchery? Hm.
If your parents are the type to want you back in the fold, so to speak, they may be trying to communicate that to you, or effectively blackmail you back into it. We can try and get you on a Refusal of the Call list, but it may be too late for that if you're already having physical manifestations of the Call.
As for those boxes, please bring them when you come in. We have some Circle folks in the mailroom we can get to open them.
Hm. Your parents...last name starts with N? Something's coming to mind.
