Grizzco's next Eggstra Work event has been announced! It'll take place between 5 PM on 5/10 and 5 PM on 5/12. The featured stage is Jammin' Salmon Junction, but no word yet on if this team-building event will include trust falls.
i dont really think miis are dead tbh i think theyre kind of just. general characters in nintendo games now, rather than a massive major focus like they were on the wii.
with the wii u being... well, the wii u. i dont really blame nintendo for wanting to make the switch not look like the wii or wii u at all, which unfortunately means making miis less relevant (and having alternatives, like switch sports' characters. also this likely convinced the many families out there playing wii sports to play switch sports, as it looked different.)
but like. miis arent.. Dead. i always find it so odd when i see someone say "ughh whyd nintendo kill miis"
like... miitopia on switch is right there. tons of new mii costumes in smash ultimate (shout out to sans). miis in switch sports. a ton of new costumes and animations for miis in the final mario kart 8 deluxe update. like they are still very much existing
mario golf: super rush is somewhat recent (2021) and its got a snazzy new mii render right there with playable miis. not the biggest thing in the world but like. you know. Not Dead.
i think its moreso because miis had such a massive presence on the wii and wii u, then the wii u failed and nintendo wants the switch to be very different, miis are no longer the main focus.
in conclusion i dont blame nintendo i blame everyone who didnt buy the wii u. /half joke
i mean at the very least im just happy the mii maker is still there at all tbh, they couldve just flat out gotten rid of it if they didnt want miis anymore.
i still want tomodachi life 2 one day though......
