Claustrophobic
Percy Jackson x Non-Binary Half-Blood Reader
Prompt - "Is this a bad time to tell you I'm claustrophobic?"
TW - Claustrophobia
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You cursed the Gods as you looked at the ceiling of a cave. Though you could see the sun setting from the opening from the cave you still felt uneasy. So you fiddled with your hands. You and Percy were sent on what was supposed to be a simple quest.
Leave camp, get something, and bring it back.
That was it.
But no, the Fates had to be cruel. So they sent almost every monster they could and that led to you hurting your foot. So you and Percy had to rest in a cave. So Percy leaned you against the cave wall and started to set up camp.
You felt useless.
Percy had healed you, carried you in a cave and was setting up camp. While you leaned against the wall, your foot felt like someone had hit it with a hammer, doing nothing. Percy was your savior, in more ways than one.
When you first came to Camp Half-Blood you never really felt like you fit in. You weren’t good at anything. Healing, archery, fighting, everything. So you normally just stayed in the back. Till Percy came to camp.
You were only a year older than him so you two clicked. Percy also felt like he didn’t really belong, being the only kid of The Big Three at camp. So you two became quick friends, and that friendship helped you both. You more, but still.
Then that friendship quickly became a relationship. You were confused when he confessed to you at first. You thought he liked Annabeth, but nope, he liked you. It had been two months since that and Percy was still your savior.
If it wasn’t for him you would be dead.
The smell of food cooking and fumes from the fire calmed you. You moved your gaze from the roof of the cave to Percy but something caught your eye.
It was a crack.
A crack in the roof of the cave. It was really big and looked deep.
You moved your gaze down and noticed that Percy was right under it. You had a feeling that the cave roof was going to collapse. You didn’t know why, you weren’t a child of Poseidon, who was called Earthshaker.
Nor was your Godly parent wasn’t connected to earth in any way. But you knew you had to do something. Percy had saved you, you had to save him. Though you were scared that you would get trapped. You didn’t like small spaces.
So you ran, your foot blared, it felt like it was on fire. But you pushed off your good foot and pushed Percy as hard as you could. Percy was shocked, he wasn’t ready. So it was quite easy to shove him. “Y/n wha-”.
Percy was cut off by the shaking of the cave. The cave ceiling shook, then it fell. Percy’s eyes widened as he watched the cave ceiling fall on top of you. It all happened so fast. You fell on your chest and covered your head.
Dust stormed around the cave. Rocks fell and the cave rumbled. When the dust cleared you opened your eyes and tried to look around, it was hard when you couldn’t get up. Your head hurts, everything hurts.
Your foot, chest, head, everything.
You noticed that you were fine, besides the pain, but you were trapped. Rocks were all around you and you couldn’t get out. “Y/n!” You heard from the other side of the rocks. You remembered that Percy was there too, you had saved him.
You heard Percy’s voice but you didn’t know what he said. You looked around the room the cave had made. The only light being the sparks from the dying fire. The fact that there was no light made the room seem smaller.
The room seemed to be getting smaller and your breathing picked up. You had never told anyone but you hated small spaces. Your parent never had a lot of money so you always lived in a small apartment.
That wasn’t the main thing that caused you to be scared of small spaces but it was a part of it. You hated small spaces. You felt tears brim your eyes and your breath pick up. “Y/n!” You heard Percy yell again.
You heard clunking from the other side, and it didn’t really help. “Percy?” You started and you immediately heard the noise stop.
“Is this a bad time to tell you I’m claustrophobic?”
You asked, tears now slowly coming out of your eyes. Percy was shocked. You never told him, or anyone, about your fear. Thinking it was stupid. “No. Of course” Percy said and he looked around trying to find a way to get you out.
Unfortunately both of your bags were on your side of the wall and from what Percy could hear, you weren’t doing so well. And Percy was right. Your breath picked up and tears were falling down your face.
You were having a panic attack.
Percy remembered that there was something in his bag that could free you. But he didn’t have it. You were the one that needed to use it. Percy had to calm you. “Hey, Y/n” Percy didn’t hear you respond but he knew that you were listening.
“Do you think you could breathe with me?” Behind the rocks you could hear Percy and you really wanted to listen to him but it was hard. The walls were closing in on you and the room only got darker.
“Just listen to my voice” Percy said and you closed your eyes.
Percy then started talking. He was telling you a story about a school or something. You weren’t really listening. You were remembering what your parent said to do whenever you had a panic attack.
Four seconds in, seven seconds holding, eight seconds out.
It took a while but with Percy talking you were able to calm down. You were still scared, but you were no longer having a panic attack. Once Percy realized that you were no longer panicking he told you what you needed to do.
It was hard, because you couldn’t really walk. But you did it. You were able to get to Percy’s bag and got out from the rocks. The first thing you noticed was how dark it was. The sun had already set and the moon and stars were out.
Once Percy saw that you were out he ran over and hugged you. It was a bit weird since you couldn’t stand. Percy was sitting on the ground and you were in his lap. You and Percy hugged each other for a bit before Percy pulled away.
“You okay?” Percy asked and you looked at him. “Other than my foot feeling like it's on fire and being trapped in a dark, tight space, I’m fine”. Percy cracked a smile but he was still worried about you. But you weren’t really in a mood to talk.
You were tired.
So you leaned against Percy and closed your eyes, falling asleep almost immediately. Percy smiled and looked down at you. He smiled at how peaceful you looked. Percy placed a kiss on your forehead and leaned against the cave wall.
Falling asleep almost as quickly as you.

Satyr Claus —(Platonic!Grover xGN!Reader)
Tumblr media
"There you are!" Grover approaches you with a big smile. "Been looking for you..."
"What's up?" You take a break from training and sit near the dummies making some room for Grover to sit with you.
"Thalia said you were looking to create some new traditions," he sits and pulls his satchel forward. "I've got an idea..."
"Oh, yeah but it was just for the Grace siblings..." your voice dies down when you see Grover pull out a whole notebook and a pen. He really has prepared a whole list for you.
"Okay, so I've been thinking," he starts excitedly. "Some of the traditions that humans have right now surrounding Christmas are so dangerous to the environment, I mean, the wasted food, the extra use of electricity, paper—don't even get me started on pine trees!"
"I won't," you mutter, supporting your chin on one hand. "So what do you have in mind?"
"Behold!" He turns a page and shows you a very well-made sketch, probably drawn by Annabeth. "Satyr Claus!"
You take a look at it and reply matter-of-factly. "That's Krampus."
Grover frowns. "No, it's not. 'Cause Satyr Claus isn't a bad guy."
"Okay, but they definitely look like Krampus."
"No, they don't!" He grabs the notebook and points at different parts of the drawing. "The horns are smaller, there is no ugly cape in sight, no whip, and this guy smells like pine tree!"
"Well, Krampus could smell that way too, you don't know that," you tease him.
"Y/N," he scowls. "I'm trying to do something good here, raise awareness so people stop being so careless about the waste."
You feel a little guilty now, so you grab the notebook again and change your tone to one of real interest.
"But what is the appeal here? I mean, is he going to give out presents if we look after the earth, or candy?"
"Haven't thought that far ahead, that's why I came to you," he pouts.
You're flattered that he's seeing you as an expert, but you sigh. "Honestly I'm completely blank here. You should ask Klaus, bet he's got thousands of lore that people have long forgotten about him."
"For the last time, I'm not Santa!" The boy jumps out of the tree in front of you fuming.
"Oh, there you are!" You smile. "What were you doing there? Is that a secret portal that takes you to the North Pole?"
He shows you the object in his hand and scowls. "I was hanging mistletoe."
Grover squints to try and spot the plant. "You're not actually going to let it sit there for too long, right? Mistletoe is bad for the trees."
"I know that," Klaus huffs, dusting off his jeans. "And no, I'm taking it down after Christmas, since y'all decided to be party poopers this year..."
"Hey, don't get frisky, Santa," you tease him. "Are you still upset about the trivia night?"
Klaus's eyes cloud with resentment. "That was a mean use of my skills and you know it."
Grover is still focused on the mistletoe, staring at it with his mouth slightly open. "Klaus, I don't think anyone's gonna be able to see that, you placed it too high."
"Then you fix it, Satyr Claus," the boy glares at him, his ears turning red with annoyance. "I need a drink..."
"We ran out of eggnog the other night," you inform him as he walks past you. "After Chiron got overexcited, drank his whole cabinet of special drinks, and started to give us his own version of drunk history."
"Dang it!" Klaus kicks a few dry leaves that fell when he jumped off the tree. "I hate it here."

When does a comet become a meteor?
Percy clung to Annabeth as they fell, knowing that separation meant certain death. They fell and fell and fell for what seemed like days. Until finally Percy felt the familiar tug in his gut that meant there was water nearby. He pulled at it until it bent to his will and swallowed them, saving them from instant death, but almost killing them anyway.
When does a candle become a blaze?
“Together,” Annabeth said, and Percy nodded. Together, they plunged their hands into the Phlegethon and gulped down liquid fire. They gasped and gagged and writhed as it burned through them until the pain had eased and it had healed their wounds enough to carry on.
Percy took Annabeth’s hand and helped her to her feet, keeping a tight hold on her as they walked on.
When does a man become a monster?
“Percy? Why did you leave me? Where did you go?” Annabeth cried, stumbling around looking for him. I’m sorry, he wanted to say, I’m right here, but the poison ravaging his body left him no power to speak. Maybe I’m no better than all the monsters I’ve killed, maybe I’m a monster. Maybe I deserve this. He writhed on the ground, helpless as the Arai gloated over him and Annabeth stumbled towarad the edge of the cliff.
When does a ripple become a tidal wave?
The poison flowed toward him, rippling like water across river stones. Water, he thought, and reached out for the poison, willing it to move. It froze for a moment as Percy fought for control. Then something like a glass ball in his stomach shattered and the poison changed direction, flowing back towards its previous mistress with a vengeance.
When does the reason become the blame?
“What is this?” Misery cried, stumbling back. Percy gave her a feral grin.
“Poison. That’s your specialty, right?” He laughed. “You want to know true misery, Akhlys? Well, here it is.”
When does a man become a monster?
He grinned and laughed, taking a savage pleasure in Misery’s suffering at his hand. Her eyes welled up from the fumes and snot streamed down her face. Good, he thought, more water. He took control of her tears and mucus, making her choke as it ran down her throat and made her eyes burn. He felt the ichor that was a god’s blood as it coursed through her veins, the rapid, terrified beating of her heart.
“Percy!”
He whirled around with a snarl only to freeze at the terror on Annabeth’s face.
“Percy, you have to stop, please. That’s enough.” She pleaded with him, eyes flickering over his shoulder to stare at Akhyls’ rapidly paling face
He hissed and turned back to the goddess with narrowed eyes and a murderous scowl.
He released his hold on her bodily fluids and cleared a path away from them through the poison rivers.
“Go!” He roared and watched her stumble and trip in her haste to get away from him with a sick sort of satisfaction.
Forgive me...
As soon as he relinquished control of the poison, the weight of fatigue settled heavily within his chest, and he fell to his knees with a groan. Immediately, Annabeth was at his side, hands hovering over him almost like she was... afraid.
She was afraid of him.
He choked on a sob. “What have I done?” he whispered.
Firmly, Annabeth grabbed his face and made him look at her. “Don’t you ever do that again, Percy, please.” Her eyes were haunted, and her voice shook. “You can’t do that to me, okay? Some things just aren’t meant to be controlled.”
Forgive me...
Percy clenched his jaw and grit his teeth, steeled his resolve. He knew what he had to do to win this fight.
He only hoped that Annabeth could forgive him.
He reached out and felt the rounded edges of the broken glass in his stomach shudder, threatening to shatter irreperably into a million pieces. If he wanted to keep a lid on his power, if he wanted to ever have a hope of repairing what had been broken down there, he needed to stop now or else it would be too late.
He didn’t stop.
Just as the tug in his stomach became sharper and the pain unbearable, the shards of glass disappeared, like they had exploded into incredibly fine pieces of sand and dust.
And just like that, he could feel everything. A wall had been lifted from his mind and he felt his powers swell with infinite possibility. He felt the slightest tremors in the ground, from the stomp of a giant’s step to the small bounce of an ant dragging a leaf back towards its colony just outside the Parthenon. He could feel the blood rushing through his fellow demigods’ veins, the ichor coursing through the gods that fought alongside them, the dark ichor tainted by the earth that flowed through the giants’ bodies.
He latched on to the gritty, dirty ichor of the giants, grabbing hold and gathering it all towards himself. Every giant froze where they were, unable to move.
He squeezed, felt their hearts burst as ichor began to stream from their eyes, mouths, noses, and ears. Vaguely, he thought he could hear screaming, but he was focused solely on the rotten ichor of the giants, drawing it out of their bodies any way he could, pulling and pulling and pulling it all towards himself.
Distantly, he registered several voices calling his name and a dull pain radiating through his body, but he ignored it all. He wouldn’t stop, couldn’t stop, until the job was done.
He screamed, the sound wrenched unwillingly from his throat as finally all the giants crumbled into golden dust and the ichor he was still holding onto dissipated into a fine mist.
He stumbled forward, snapping back to awareness with a frightening clarity. He gasped for air and collapsed to his knees, pain shooting through his body. He wiped dazedly at his face when he noticed a wetness on his lip. He pulled his hand away and saw blood on his fingers.
“Oh,” he breathed, before falling forward and would have landed on his face had it not been for his father appearing right beside him and catching him to lay him gently on the ground.
“Oh, my son,” Poseidon said, voice soft and filled with devastation even as he gave Percy a horrified look. “What have you done?”
“Percy!” He rolled his head and watched Annabeth skid to a stop and drop to her knees beside him, pulling him into her lap. He smiled up at her, darkness creeping up the edges of his vision.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered and reached out a shaky hand to wipe the tears from her cheeks, frowning when he left behind streaks of bright red. “Forgive me,” he murmured, his vision and his strength fading. His eyes fluttered shut, and he slipped into the black.
Forgive me...!

chapter ten
freefalling | Percy Jackson x fem! Reader.
Tumblr media
Two full days on a train with an ADHD Percy Jackson, a snipey Annabeth Chase, and a snoring Grover Underwood was the definition of boring.
You slept, woke, talked and ate. And repeated. Sometimes you’d wake in the night and find Percy drooling on your ankle where he lay, or Grover muttering in his sleep about plastic cans and caravan curtains. Once, you even suffered an awkward silence when yourself and Annabeth were the only two awake. You acted as if it didn’t bother you, casually reading through a magazine to pass time, but inside you desperately wished to run away.
When the two days came to an end, you had never been happier to set foot on concrete. If your life were a movie, you’d have certainly span in circles with your arms out, dancing to some silly, sunshiney song wearing a pretty dress. Maybe Percy would come and join in as well, and together you’d sing until it rained, and end staring into each other’s eyes—
Something sharp hit your eye. You flinched, eye now closed, trying your best to see the culprit of the attack. Percy, standing sheepishly ahead of you, shifting his eyes. Annabeth and Grover pondered off in the distance.
“You good?” He asked. Percy jabbed his thumb in the others’ direction. “Uh—we need to go. Sort of.”
Ah. So he was talking to you now.
Was this Percy’s shit attempt at a make up session?
You shrugged. “Sure.”
Adjusting your backpack as you walked by him, the two of you set off together in silence. You didn’t mind the quiet with Percy—he’d break it one way or another—and took in the views. The fumes of the train exhausts, tourists looking around aimlessly, whistles blowing. It was a bright shiny day, the sky dotted with clouds, and the air was that perfect combination of dry and warm. Maybe today would be good. For once.
You’d shoved your hair into a high half-up half-down style, and your leggings had dust covering them in places from the dirty train seats. But you couldn’t have been happier walking beside Percy. It was peaceful.
“We’ve got three hours before Denver,” you said, turning your head as you walked to talk to Percy. His wife-eyed awkward gaze turned pink-cheeked. “Why don’t we do some sightseeing?”
Percy’s thin shoulders shrugged. “Sure. Annabeth said the same thing, about visiting the Gateway Arch.”
Your face dropped and you blanked him. “Let’s not sightsee.”
“You can’t just change your mind because someone—your sister—has the same idea as you.”
“I can and I will.”
He sighed dramatically, groaning. “Don’t start.”
You flayed your hands, scowling. “I’m not doing anything!” You protested.
Percy rolled his bright eyes, latching his fingers around your wrist. “Let’s go. Sightseeing it is.”
The Gateway Arch looked very much like a giant shopping handle glued into the ground. Annabeth banged on about how she wanted to go all the way to the top, to which for once, you agreed. Sightseeing was a leisurely stroll in your eyes, and there was never any harm in it.
“Why don’t we, then?” You asked the group. They blinked at you. “What?”
“You’re agreeing with Annabeth. That’s a first.”
“And a last,” you continued. “Are we going up or not? It’ll be fun.”
The others exchanged looks. Percy was the first to nod, dark hair bouncing. “Sure.”
“I’m in!”
Annabeth was slow to answer. But in the end she nodded. “Fine. Let’s go.”
Your group trekked to the line to queue, which was short and quick to move at this time of day. Under the hot sun slowly making an appearance, you were grateful, and soon enough, you found yourself at the front of the group, traipsing through the museum on the way to the Arch. History had always fascinated you, and the artefacts on display didn’t go amiss, as you dragged Percy from pillar to post babbling all about the things before you. Once or twice you caught him smiling small as you talked, in the glass reflections of the display cabinets. And it made you smile, too.
The time finally came to head up to the Arch. Annabeth looked giddy with excitement, Grover continuously sniffed the air, and Percy was turning pale. You had to admit; now that you were this close, and were really about to go up, you weren’t so sure you wanted to do it…
Shoved into the elevator with a happy chihuahua and a fat lady who smelled weird, your stomach was doing somersaults. You leaned over to Percy and whispered, staring at the dog.
“Is it me, or is that dog giving me the evils.”
The chihuahua growled and bared it’s teeth, pawing at the ground. You snickered but backed away.
“Dude,” Percy nodded, “the dog hates you.”
“Oh, don’t worry!” The lady exclaimed. You yelped and smacked back into the glass of the elevator. She was smiling, peering at you with beady eyes like her dog. “No parents?”
Without a beat, Annabeth answered. “They’re below. Scared of heights.”
“Oh, the poor things. Some people aren’t cut out for them.”
The dog howled and began trying to sniff toward you. The tried to become one with the wall.
“Now, now, Sonny,” the woman scolded. “Behave.”
Or I’ll kick you out the elevator, you thought.
“Sonny? Is that his name?”
The woman smiled. “No.”
As if that was any clearer. The wall was definitely your best friend, now.
At the top of the Arch, the observation deck gave off the vibes of a tin can with carpeting. Rows of tiny windows looked out over the city on one side and the river on the other. Thankfully, the woman from the elevator was nowhere to be seen since you got out.
“Don’t worry guys,” you muttered as the four of you walked across the carpeted floors. “She comes near us again, and the dog gets it.” You feigned some karate moves, promoting a choked laugh from Percy and even a smile from Annabeth.
You’d hoped it would be peaceful up here. But once more, the tides were against you, and all you get was an ingrained fear and urge to run, spilling through your bones. Thankfully, you were only up there for a few minutes, as Percy soon declared he thought it was time to go.
And then…
“Next car, guys. Take a few minutes. That alright?”
Before you could say anything about the elevator being too full to fit yourself and Percy in, the boy’s hand fell to your wrist.
“Yeah,” he nodded. “We can wait.”
“Want us to get out and wait with you?” Annabeth asked. Grover nodded in agreement.
“Nah, it’s alright. We’ll catch you guys down there,” Percy dismissed.
And soon enough, they were heading down the Arch.
You anxiously scratched your arm. “Idiot,” you muttered, looking around. “We need to go. Something doesn’t feel right.”
He threw his arm around your shoulder and squeezed until you tapped out. “Don’t be stupid. You’re just anxious after last time.”
“Just to clarify, this was your idea.”
“Sure it was.”
“If we get in a fight it had nothing to do with me this time.”
The only people left were yourself and Percy, a little boy with his parents, and the lady from before, with the dog. Percy’s arm remained around your shoulders loosely.
She looked over at you and Percy, and smiled, forked tongue flickering between her teeth.
It hit you first. You jolted, shoving backward into Percy, who grabbed your hand. “Go. We need to go! Move, we have to go!”
“You saw that too?!”
The dog began barking, small barks first, before they became louder and heavier and deeper, and you frantically searched the place for somewhere to go. But of course, you were hundreds of feet in the air.
No way out.
“Now, now, sonny,” the lady said. “Does this look like a good time? We have all these nice people here.”
“Doggie!” said the little boy. “Look, a doggie!”
His parents pulled him back.
The Chihuahua bared his teeth at you both, foam dripping from his black lips.
“Well, son,” the fat lady sighed. “If you insist.”
You both still shrank away. Percy spoke first. “Um, did you just call that Chihuahua your son?”
“Chimera, dear,” the fat lady smiled. “Not a Chihuahua. It’s an easy mistake to make.”
She rolled up her denim sleeves, revealing that the skin of her arms was scaly and green. When she smiled, you saw that her teeth were fangs. The pupils of her eyes were sideways slits, like a reptile’s.
The Chihuahua barked louder, and with each bark, it grew. First to that of a Doberman, then a lion. The bark steadily became a roar.
The little boy screamed. His parents pulled him back toward the exit, straight into the park ranger, who stood, paralyzed, gaping at the monster.
The Chimera was now so tall its back rubbed against the roof. It had the head of a lion with a blood-caked mane, the body and hooves of a giant goat, and a serpent for a tail, a ten-foot-long diamondback growing right out of its shaggy behind. The rhinestone dog collar still hung around its neck, and the plate-sized dog tag was now easy to read: CHIMERA—RABID, FIRE-BREATHING, POISONOUS—IF FOUND, PLEASE CALL TARTARUS—EXT. 954.
“Is—is—” your words wouldn’t come out. “Sword’s in camp.”
“Your sword…is at camp?” Percy repeated way too calmly. You both backed away, staring at the monster in terror.
“Y-eah,” you choked.
The lady smiled. She’d grown too. A total monster. It was a horrifying look, and it would never leave your memory.
“You have the pleasure of being killed by me, demigods. Any final words?”
Your mouth gaped, throat dry. You whispered.
“Anybody that can hear me, send help. I’ll pay you right dollars when I get my first pay check.”
The chimera roared, and fire came along with it. The stench was so bad it sent you woozy, and Percy yanked you down to the carpet. Together you crawled as close to the ground as possible over to the emergency exit, away from the woman and her devil dog. The family and the ranger stood terrified, the child crying, as you looked around for something that could help.
Percy was dealing with the defence. You had to find the escape route. With each sound of Percy’s sword on metal or monster, you got closer to the giant, melted hole in the side of the Arch. And watched as the water below glittered in the boiling sun.
“We have to jump…” you whispered to yourself unconsciously. Then, louder, more aware. “We have to jump.”
Something slid past you and out through the hole. Percy’s sword.
“They just don’t make heroes like they used to,” the woman advanced with her dog. That’s when you noticed Percy standing at your crouched side, pale and swaying. Swordless.
You found your feet, determined, and set your hand around Percy’s elbow.
“You’re right,” you said firmly, taking a step back, shaking. “We’re better.”
And with a sharp kick to the edge of the ground, you threw yourself off the Arch, taking Percy with you.

The Festival Part 3 - Annabeth
POV Annabeth Chase
I am fuming. How can he still take her side after all of these years. I have spent so long trying to rebuild my relationship with him and he still chooses his gold digger wife over me. I lie down by the creek questioning whether or not I should return to the camp or not. I wish I had never reentered my mortal family's life. It would've be so much easier that way. It would've meant a lot less pain.
"You know, it's hard for him as well," I hear a voice telling me, "He never sees you and when he does she holds him back."
"He should leave her then." I tell the person behind me.
"But why would he do that to himself? Why should he leave her, when you are the one who left him." It was Reyna speaking.
"She was seven years old!" another voice states. I turn my head and see Thalia and Reyna bickering over me.
"She still left, and that would've broken him. No matter how justified it was."
"Reyna's right Thalia, I did leave. I took his seven year old girl, his whole world, away from him. It's fair enough that he should care more about his wife than the girl who disappeared for five years and broke his heart."
"Annabeth, you were struggling with yourself, it's okay that you got scared." Thalia put her hand on my shoulder comfortingly.
"I know it's okay. And I don't blame him either. Or her. These things take time and it's allowed to suck for that time. If it's alright with you guys, I think I need some time alone."
"Okay, come back when you can." Reyna pats me on the back and turns to leave. Thalia shifts me a smile and walks away with Reyna. They get smaller and smaller as they get further away. I can see that they have already found something else to argue about because Reyna is making angry hand gestures and Thalia's mouth is opening and shutting like mad. I turn away letting myself forget about the world
I breath in the sweet, salty air of Long Island Sound. It reminded me of Percy. I stare down at the sea and notice something. The waves look like they are acting up. They aren't flowing as calmly as they were before. In fact, they were crashing violently against the rocks. I got a flashback to when the Manticore captured Percy and the river began to flow rapidly. I stand up, worried that Percy might be in trouble.
They stop. The waves stop moving almost completely. They slowly thread their way toward the shore. A fish reaches the surface. Then another one, then a third, and a fourth. I notice how the fish aren't moving. They are dead. I turn and run toward the camp. Percy was in trouble, I knew he was.
I dash through the woods, trying to guess what was happening. I was running so fast that I almost didn't notice the small body lying motionless on the soil. It was a boy lying face down with three arrows in him, one in the small of his back. I remember Percy's weak spot and get worried for a minute before noticing that this isn't Percy. This is someone who I know well. A tear finds its way down my cheek, as I realise that I am staring down at Malcolm Pace, my best friend from the Athena cabin. He weakly draws his eyes to me.
"No, No, No," I choke, "Not you Malcolm. Why you?"
"It's okay, I can be with Lee now." I cry desperately trying to see if I can save him.
"Please Malcolm," I beg
"I see him now." His eyes lose focus, his hand loses grip, his neck loses pulse. He was talking about his long-dead boyfriend, Lee Fletcher who died when Luke's army attacked the camp a few years ago. I feel my insides collapse. How could I have let this happen. I should've been there. I shouldn't have left.
My mind shifts from Malcolm and I realise that those arrows didn't just appear in his back. The camp was under attack. It had to be. I run further toward the camp and hear the clashing of swords, the yells of war, the sounds of battle. I charge toward the cabins and begin to see the huntresses fighting a horde of stone warriors. Not like Medusa stone, more like warriors equipped with stone armour. You can even see their pale grey eyes flashing with all kinds of emotion. The longer I look at them, the more I feel that there is something off about them
The huntresses are struggling to fend them off. I look around but Artemis is nowhere to be seen. I see Thalia struggling as she backs up into Reyna who is fighting alongside the 12th Legion Fulminata. I look around for Percy but I can't see him anywhere. I dash toward the Athena cabin to grab my knife and shield.
I burst the door open and rush toward my bed. I reach under the pillow and snatch my knife. I shuffle underneath the bed to find my shield but I can't find it. I give up looking and head toward the exit of the cabin ready to join the fight. I pass Malcolm's bunk and feel my heart swell. I place that aside and burst out into the courtyard. I see Will Solace and Leo Valdez fighting for their lives.
"Annabeth!" Will calls to me.
"Where is Percy!" I yell back.
"He was over that way with Nico a minute ago," Leo shouts gesturing toward the Hades cabin. "I think he got hurt," I say nothing else and try and make it to Cabin 13 which was on the other end of the courtyard. I fail. I am flanked by a stone fighter. I stab him deep in the neck which was about the only spot that wasn't protected by armour. He chokes and falls to the ground. I look into his eyes as purple, rotten blood spills from his neck. I feel bad for him. That has never happened before. Never have I felt guilty for killing anything that attacked me. It was like I could relate to him somehow.
I forget about it and move on as I get attacked by more warriors. I kill each one, getting more beat up each time though. I still felt that shred of guilt with each of them like I did with the first one. I look across the yard and see Clarisse dashing toward me.
"Where have you been!" she growls at me.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know we were under attack," I reply but she isn't focusing on me anymore. She is staring in the direction of Cabin 10 where Drew Tanaka was fighting a stone warrior. But Clarisse wasn't looking at drew. She was focusing on the stone warrior as if trying to decipher something about them. The stone fighter had a feminine appearance and was fighting sloppily with a sword but not as sloppily as Drew. She stabs Drew in the abdomen. Drew falls to the ground motionless. Clarisse's eyes flood with both shock and fear
"That's, it's she's..." There are tears poring down her face. I know it isn't Drew's death that had scared her. it was something else, something about the stone fighter. She is about to say a name but is interrupted when she is snatched up by a huge stone warrior with massive hands. She gasps once more, with a look of complete terror on her. She looks into his eyes and looks like she is about to faint. This isn't like Clarisse. Clarisse doesn't get scared. Clarisse usually fights back. I try and fight for her but I am shot in the arm by a warrior with a bow and arrow.
"How are you..." Clarisse utters but he didn't seem interested in answering her question because at that moment, it hurled her across the yard and into a tree. Her head strikes it first. She must be dead. No demigod could've survived that at least that's what I thought.
Her boyfriend, Chris Rodriguez, rushes across the battlefield to come to her aid. He looks so scared. I want to go and help her but the big one goes for me next. It goes to punch me but I dodge and leap onto it's flying fist. I am so enraged I wanted to curl into a ball and explode.
"You killed Clarisse!" I yell at it. A few campers turn their heads noticing what happened to Clarisse, their greatest fighter, "I'LL KILL YOU!" I climb across it's back and tear some of the stone plating off it's back I stab it repeatedly and this time, feel no remorse. I feel like I recognize the singed tunic underneath the armour. It falls to the ground, dead. My eyes dart around the conflict looking for the spot where Clarisse had been thrown. I see Chris cradling her carefully. He looks up at me with a glimmer of hope. Somehow she had survived.
I feel a wave of relief wash over me. It is short lived however because I hear an explosion. The big house had been reduced to rubble and marching out of it was a pale demigod with an eyepatch. It was someone who had died a long time ago. Someone who couldn't be there. It was Ethan Nakamura, son of Nemesis. I remember how he had helped us in the final battle against Kronos and I don't understand why he isn't fighting with us.
I then notice, to my right, Percy. He is unconscious and is being dragged out of the line of fire by Nico. I want to go and help. But all of my other friends were dying by the second out here. I make the decision to stand my ground and continue helping everyone else
Ethan is charging through the crowd slaying demigods, satyrs, huntresses and nature spirits as he went. The sword he is holding is unusual it is long and glowing a sky blue colour. He yells something in Latin with his sword raised toward the sky. Everyone looked to him, including the stone warriors. The Roman demigods, Hazel Levesque looks shocked as she must recognize Latin.
He plunges his sword deep into the ground and glowing cracks open up and start expanding rapidly. I see Leo fighting alongside Hazel and I see them sink into the ground as one of the cracks had enveloped them. I hear Leo's struggled yells as he falls deep into the crevasse with Hazel trying to slow their decent by sticking her sword into the side of the hole. But it is useless. The crack closes taking them with it. I begin to run. There is another crack heading straight toward me.
I trip on a tree root, twisting my ankle. I try and get up but I simply can't I see a crack close up where Clarisse and Chris had been. I turn and see one heading right for the Hades cabin which was where Nico had taken Percy. I feel a hand pick me up and start helping me away from the only remaining crack in the ground which was hurtling toward us. But something else appears ahead of us, Ethan Nakamura with his sword drawn begins charging at us. We are now sandwiched between the one-eyed demigod and the crevasse trying to eat us.
I feel the ground give way beneath me. Will yells as we fall through the ground, the sky getting further and further away until the crack closes itself off. All I see is darkness. Will holds me tight. But I am not too scared. I've fallen into worse holes than this.  A few seconds later, I black out.
This chapter is dedicated to Julie

WHY HEROES OF OLYMPUS IS MY LEAST FAVOURITE RRVERSE SERIES
Disclaimer: I like Heroes of Olympus and every single book in the RRverse, it's just a few things I found lacking so stfu before you come fuming
Spoiler warning for both Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan
Most of my issues boil down to some aspects which had potential for exploration but were just forgotten
The potential of some of the friendships between the Seven (we all know Piper and Percy would dominate)
Percy and Annabeth being forgotten after GOING THROUGH TARTARUS?! YOU CAN'T TELL ME THEY'RE NOT TRAUMATISED
also also also Dark Percy would be so fucking cool (not exactly a criticism, just something that would've been interesting)
Shipping every other character (case in point: Caleo)
The battle in Blood of Olympus is kinda lackluster. Half of the Last Olympian was the battle between the demigods and the Titans but here it's eh just Piper, Leo and Jason doing their thing (I'm glad Rick didn't go that route for The Tower of Nero, The Tower of Nero was good shit)
Okay let's be honest lots of these criticisms are of Blood of Olympus I enjoyed Blood of Olympus but there wasn't enough payoff for some things hinted earlier in the series (like the implication of Percy not being able to sacrifice something given his fatal flaw is loyalty)
The antagonists are fine tbh, they're just not as compelling as Luke Castellan from PJO was
The plot IS high stakes, but you what would make it even MORE high stakes? Death, which there isn't enough of! It would just make it more meaningful and no Leo doesn't count he comes back to life I feel like he should've stayed dead he doesnt do shit in The Trials of Apollo. Beckendorf, Silena, Luke, Zoe Nightshade: these deaths were all so impactful. The killings started in The Titan's Curse and when they started, it was like "Oh SHIT we're really in it now"
Anyways a few things I just wanna point out that aren't criticisms
I REFUSE TO ACCEPT THAT PERCABETH'S GREY STREAKS FADED I REJECT THAT CANON
Ngl I don't care about the Curse of Achilles getting washed away like yeah it was cool in The Last Olympian okay bye lmao
WHERE WAS GROVER MAN COMES FOR ONE SCENE IN THE ENTIRE SERIES HE WAS PERCY'S BEST FRIEND 😭
To end it here, I do want to say that I like Heroes of Olympus and that I'm a fan of the Riordanverse. The characters and their interactions (at least what we got), the return of old characters like Percy and Annabeth, the action and adventure, the prophecy, the high stakes, the return to the world of the Greek gods, the humour, the angst: I thoroughly enjoyed it. Again, it's just a few criticisms. Just cause you criticise something you love doesn't mean you don't love it at all.
Anyways Trials of Apollo is way better the villain is incredible and the ending HOLY SHIT THE ENDING MADE ME CRY LIKE A BABY THE LAST PARAGRAPH WAS IMMACULATE

Leo Valdez is seriously annoying.
The way he smiles as if everything’s okay and his anger is not something you’re feeling like waves hitting you over and over - it’s just annoying. Why can’t he just get it over with and explode in front of you, use his fire powers and all?
With a scoff, you shook your head, averting your gaze from the curly-haired boy to the campfire in front of you.
Truthfully, this event was supposed to be just the seven - Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Frank, Hazel, and Leo. Percy invited you to enjoy this night with his friends. He found you earlier by this beach, kicking sand, and muttering how much Leo Valdez just pissed you off. And he just had the audacity to invite you to an event, saying Leo won’t be here. But here he is - grinning as he was roasting a marshmallow over the fire.
“So, Leo,” Percy turned to Leo. “Truth or dare?”
“Dare,” he grinned.
You saw Percy look at you, smiling, like a monkey who finally grabbed the banana from the tree. "Go skinny dipping with Y/N."
"What!?" I'm sorry, but were you just dragged into something that doesn't even include you? "No. I'm not skinny dipping, especially not with him."
"Wow," Leo said, standing up. "Way to hurt my feelings, Y/N."
"Like you have one," you rolled your eyes.
"So, are you doing this or not?" Leo questioned you, already raising an arm to remove his shirt.
"No, I'm not," you crossed your arms over your chest.
"Your loss," Leo shrugged, shirtless. Your eyes scanned over his body. Realizing what you were doing, you averted your gaze from him into the campfire. "Like what you were seeing?"
You can just feel him smirking across from you. "It's not even my dare, how do I lose?"
"It's a dare and you're involved so get on with it," Percy waved his hand dismissively, smiling mischievously as he took a sip of his blue coke.
"Do they really have to be naked?" Thank the Gods for your sister, Annabeth.
"Yeah," Jason echoed. "We're all going to be scarred forever when Leo goes buck naked."
"Fine," Percy sighed in defeat. "You can keep your underwear."
They all looked at Leo expectantly, who raised his hands up. "Oh no, I'm not doing it if Y/N won't."
"It's your dare, Valdez."
"Yeah, and?"
"It's not mine."
"But Percy said I have to do it with you."
"Ugh," you huffed, standing up to remove your clothing. "I hate you."
"Well, I don't exactly like you either," Leo quipped, unbuckling his pants.
You turned around, raising your arms over your head as you removed your shirt, revealing your balconette bikini top in Victorian blue. The matching bikini was a gift from Piper on your birthday last September. This is only the first time you wore this, but under a white cropped top and denim jeans, thinking you won't have to swim as it is mid-winter in New York.
Unfortunately, Percy is a pain in the ass and dared Leo to go skinny dipping with you.
Annabeth handed you a beach towel you wrapped yourself in. Despite the camp's borders protecting you from extreme weather, the air was still chilly, and it sent a shiver down your spine as it hit you.
You turned around and saw that Leo had the matching blue and floral printed towel wrapped around his waist. "Let's just get this over with."
You walked over towards the edge where the waves meet the sun, leaving Leo to catch up to you. "So, how are we doing this?"
"You just don't think," is what you answered as you threw your towel somewhere behind you, diving into the open beach and swimming as far as you can.
As soon as the cold catches up to you, you stand up; the water reaching your chin. You saw Leo standing still at the edge, looking stunned. "What are you waiting for, you elf?"
Leo only shook his head and followed you. You waited a few moments, looking around the vast ocean, with chattering teeth and ragged breaths. In mid-December, the water current felt like icicles hitting your body over and over in different places. You couldn’t wait to get back out on the shore and sit by the fire for warmth.
You feel something tug at your ankle, pulling you deeper. As you struggled to stay afloat, you kicked whatever it was, deciding ultimately more on your own survival than the welfare of some random sea creature. But it wasn't a random sea creature. Instead, it was Leo, holding a bloody nose as he surfaced beside.
"Fuck you, Y/N," he held his nose, ducking his head a few times to stop the bleeding.
"That's what you get," you shrugged, waving your arms to keep yourself afloat.
"Ugh," Leo groaned. "CAN WE GO BACK NOW?"
"Geez," you covered your ears. "You didn't have to yell that loud."
"YES," you heard Percy yell back, his voice like waves echoing throughout the ocean.
You looked at the campfire, only that it was like a dot of orange in the distance. Your friends were like moving shadows in the distance, dimly lit by the moonlight.
"Come on," Leo started swimming back towards the shore once his nose had slowed down its bleeding. You followed him, careful not to swim too fast and make your head squeeze tighter than it already was. As you surfaced on the edge, you saw Leo yell and tried to run after Percy, who was holding your clothes. “Hey! Get back here.”
Instead of answering, Percy just laughed and ran away towards the parking lot. Leo chased after him.
You stood up, shivering as the chilly air hit you, grabbing your towel and wrapping yourself with it. Instead of running after Leo, you took a seat in front of the fire, with your arm reached out and dangerously close to the flames. Who could blame you for wanting to feel some warmth?
“You could get burned,” Leo commented, making you look at him in surprise. You thought he was with Percy grabbing his clothes, but there he stood, wearing a towel wrapped around his waist. Your eyes dangerously drift down towards his collarbone, but you shook your head, focusing your gaze on the dancing flames in front of you.
“At least I could be warm,” is what you told him as your fingers still dance dangerously close to the flames.
“Here,” Leo offered you a hand, and you stared as if it was the most disgusting thing you ever saw. To be honest, it wasn’t disgusting. You noticed his fingers were long and slender and smooth - no calluses in sight. It must be a benefit from producing flames.
“What do I do with it?”
“Hold it.”
“No.”
“Your loss,” he shrugged, taking a seat across from you.
“So, where’s Percy?” You asked him.
“Gone,” he sighed, running his fingers through his curls. “They said we should work everything out and they’ll come to fetch us in the morning.”
Unbelievable. Still, what they had done didn't surprise you. It was like them to do something like this, you should have seen it coming. Instead, the temptation for a good time blinded you.
“Go on,” you told him. “Yell at me.”
“What?” Leo said in disbelief. “What do you want me to yell at you?”
“I don’t know,” you told him, shrugging. “What were you saying about me after we met?”
“I wasn’t saying anything about you,” Leo answered defensively.
“You so were,” you rolled your eyes.
“Really?” Leo scoffed, crossing his arms. “What was I saying then?”
“That I was rude,” you answered him, sitting up straight.
“That’s true,” Leo agreed. “You were rude. And you are being rude now.”
“Well, excuse me if I was being rude,” You laughed humorlessly. “I was busy and stressed that day. I was being chased by monsters all day until Grover and Percy found me, and I was tired."
“But that doesn’t excuse you from being such a jerk at camp,” Leo argued.
“Sorry I wasn’t feeling bright and cheery as you,” you retorted. “Gosh, you were annoying.”
“You think I was annoying?” Leo asked, offended.
“You were!” You stood up, clenching the towel that was wrapped around you. “You came in all Mr. Smiley Pants, greeting me with a cheer, and then you introduced yourself and told me your life story when I’m exhausted. Gods, Leo, I just wanted to rest that day.”
“But you didn’t have to be so rude about it,” Leo stood up too, walking to stand in front of you. If he thought he was towering over you, he was not. He was only a few inches above you, not even intimidating you with his height.
“What’s rude about ‘stop, I want to rest’ when you were all there smiling and I was a bleeding mess with monster cuts on my arms?” You fumed. “Not to mention, you were telling me that time you and your beloved Festus had to stop at a gas station.”
“And what’s wrong about that?” Leo raised his arms in frustration. “Festus was hungry, and I was out of Tabasco, so we had to take a quick stop at the nearest gas station for some motor oil.”
“Okay, you were out of Tabasco sauce,” You raised your free hand in surrender. “But is that necessary for a girl to hear when she’s bleeding out?”
“Oh, would you want me to tell you the story of how my parents conceived me?” Leo retorted. “Because I’ll gladly tell you! My mommy and my daddy-.”
“I want you to stop!” You yelled at him, getting so dangerously close to his face. Leo seriously frustrated you to no end. He can’t just keep his mouth shut. “I want you to stop talking for a long time. Maybe then, I could work everything out by myself and leave you here.”
“And what?” Leo taunted. “Face the woods alone? Ooh, too bad, Y/N, you could get killed.”
“I’ll gladly take that chance,” you said through gritted teeth. “Than be here with you.”
“Wow,” Leo feigned hurt, putting a hand above his heart. “Another girl who’d rather be killed than be with me. Only this time, I didn’t ask her out.”
“What, do you want me to ask you out?” The words that rolled out of your mouth surprised you more than they did to Leo, who looked at you with wide eyes. You felt your heart pounding in your chest, unable to think of anything to follow up on your previous statement.
“If I didn’t know better, I’d think that you actually like me,” Leo said slowly, a lopsided grin forming on his face as he crossed his arms.
“Please,” you shivered as a strong chilly wind came, knocking you off of your stern demeanor. Leo grinned at this, knowing he had the upper hand in the situation as he didn’t once shiver from the cold. “You don’t know any better than a coked-up 2-year-old.”
“Oh, really?” Leo’s eyebrow shot up as if what you said was a challenge to him. “I know you’re cold right now.”
“Of course, it’s mid-December,” You threw your free hand in the air, turning back around to sit in front of the fire again. All this arguing with Leo has put you away from the campfire and near to the ocean, as you could feel the cold rushing winds more than the warmth of the fire. “It should be cold.”
“Way to point that out, you genius,” Leo followed you as you sat, taking a seat beside you. It was far enough so that your hands wouldn’t reach him in case you wanted to strangle him, but near enough in case you burned your hand and he had to help you.
You were still shivering even as you sat in silence in front of the fire. Leo was probably not helping the case as he kept getting awed by his own breath forming smoke in front of him.
“Could you please stop?” You said through shaky breaths.
“Here, take my hand,” Leo once again offered his hand. “Come on, I won’t bite. Can’t you feel the warmth radiating off of me?”
Out of options for warmth, you hesitantly reached out, your hand hovering above his, trying to feel any sort of warmth. Then you felt it. That rush of slight heat entered your skin and buried itself there. It felt much like holding a warm cup on a chilly day,
You took his hand, gripping it just to feel any warmth. It must have been a pretty uncomfortable position as both of your hands were stretched out, but you didn’t care as you could feel something other than the cold air around you.
You closed your eyes for a moment, trying so hard not to think about the fact that you were mad at him earlier and now you were holding his hand for warmth. You felt him scoot a little closer to you, as he pulled your hand a bit and felt him shift. You opened your eyes and narrowed it at him. “Sorry, my hand’s getting sore.” You sighed and just let him sit closer than the two of you intended.
You didn’t know how, but you didn’t fight the feeling of wanting to feel more warmth as you scooted closer to him - dangerously close, almost shoulder to shoulder. You let out a sigh as the warmth coming from him intensified a bit, as you laid your head above his shoulder. You didn't know why, but he didn’t make a move to push you away, not even a bit as he relaxed and laid his head on top of yours.
“Pipes, quick, grab a camera,” you heard Percy loudly whisper. It must have been morning as you hear birds chirping instead of crickets. The harsh sunlight met your hazel eyes as you opened them, making you immediately squint.
You heard a flash go off, and Piper’s voice rang out. “Oops. Sorry, my bad.”
“Whoever’s there should just get away,” you grumbled, snuggling against what’s beside you. Despite the harsh sunlight, your eyes flung open and quickly stood up, making your head spin, as you realized what - or who, for the matter - you’re snuggling. You stumbled as you clutched your head in dizziness.
“Careful there,” Jason gripped your arm, steadying you.
“What,” Leo groggily said, just waking up. “What happened?”
“We fell asleep, you idiot,” You threw a flip-flop at him. “It’s morning.”
“Oh,” Leo rubbed the spot where you hit him. “Oh, hey, guys.”
“Hey,” Percy greeted him with a smile. “Looks like you had quite a night, huh?”
“More like it,” Leo lazily smiled at you through squinting eyes.
Despite everything in you screaming to deny everything, you smiled at him. “Yeah. It was nice.”

Percy Jackson x black!daughter of Hecate!Reader(ft.afro-dominican!Percy and Sally because we love black Jacksons and Poseidon here)
You met at 12 when he passed out from exhaustion outside Camp Half-Blood because of fighting the Minotaur and you were with Chiron and Annabeth
You helped Annabeth carry him to the infirmary and convinced her to let you feed him ambrosia instead of her.You loved your friend but she was probably going to bombard him with questions about Zeus' stolen bolt and you didn't want her to scare him
You did your best to take of him each time he woke up,feeding him ambrosia and making sure he didn't fall off the bed with all the jerking around in his sleep. You hoped he was just having weird dreams and not nightmares
Percy was sure he'd been transported to an alternative dimension when he'd been asleep. What other explanation was there for one of the two most beautiful people he'd ever seen-the other being his mom-literally spoon-feeding him buttered popcorn flavored pudding while he layed in bed?
Your hair was pulled out of your face in a low afro puff, giving him a clear view of your princess-like face and dark brown eyes-so dark,he could loose himself in them.Your brown skin looked so warm and soft and rich,he was sure you were a dream. The reassuring smiles you gave him as you took care of him only convinced him further
When Mr.D introduced Annabeth and you to him formally, you looked so cute in your short sleeved orange hoodie that made your skin pop and your grin at seeing him that he couldn't help but blurt out something that would have him hitting himself for years."Are you a princess?"
Your grin dropped to be replaced by a flustered expression,Annabeth raised her eyebrows at him,Mr.D snorted loudly,Chiron stiffled a chuckle and Grover gawked at his best friend.Did Percy...have a crush on you? He'd never imagined Percy would be interested in romance but judging by how embarressed he was and how guilty he looked when you stuttered out that you had to go see your friend Katie and used your hoodie to cover your face as you ran off to the Demeter cabin,he was right on the money
"Nice going, charmer."Annabeth said dryly,"You better apologize to Y/n the next time you see her." "I will!"Percy snapped angrily,"I didn't upset her on purpose!"Annabeth rolled her eyes and he silently fumed as Mr.D continued talking. He didn't see you again until dinner, when you managed to walk in late without anyone who would rat you out seeing you.You looked flustered again when you saw him but squeezed in next to him on the bench, much to his relieved happiness
"Hey,i wanted to say sorry for what i said.It was really weird to say that to someone you just met and i didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."Percy is being sincere, you realize, and you begin to relax."Thanks.I'm sorry i ran off.No one's ever said something like that to me before so i didn't know how to react.I didn't not like it,actually. It was cute."Percy didn't think he could get more flustered than he had been when he'd said it but you proved him wrong."Uh,uh,t-thanks!"You giggled and he almost,he would later realize, swooned."You're welcome,Percy!"
The nymphs served dinner and after you all toasted to the gods, you watched with curiousity as he requested that his cherry coke be a blue color."Why blue?"You asked and he scratched the back of his head,"It's a thing my mom did.Someone told her they're's no such thing as blue food so now she makes-"His expression became sad and yours became solemn as you remembered what Chiron had told you,"-made sure our food was blue whenever she could." "She sounds really cool! What's her name?" "Sally Jackson."He drank a toast to her and you did the same after asking for your (favorite non-alcoholic drink)to be turned blue, much to his surprise."I never knew her but if she's anything like you,she must've been wonderful." "She was!She was the most wonderful person ever!"Only after he'd enthusiastically said that did he process your compliment and he quietly drank his colbat coke, shyly pleased
Percy heard you give a burnt offering for Hecate and after remembering what she was the goddess of,looked at you with fascination.Could you cast spells and make potions and manifest cool outfits for yourself out of thin air? When you got to the amphitheater,he asked you."So your mom's Hecate? Can you do magic?"You responded by smiling at him and moving your fingers in the direction of s'mores ingredients. He watched in awe as the (favorite color) sparkles came from your fingers, prepared two s'mores and placed one in your hands and the other in his.He slowly took a bite and found they were almost as good as the ones his mom made.He watched with a closed-mouth smile as you ate your own s'more, very happy. You were cute one if you asked him
From that night on,Percy and you sought eachother out when you weren't doing anything. He told you about his mom and all the trouble he'd gotten in and was stunned but content when you told him he was a good kid. You,in thanks, told him about your experiences with being bullied and he'd (maybe) jokingly offered to kick your bullies asses to which you'd laughed and thanked him.To his extreme gratitude, you didn't change how you treated him after he got claimed other than making sea-related puns
You weren't oblivious to the fact that you found Percy attractive. His sea green eyes combined with his strong nose, dark brown skin and black afro fade made him very appealing to you.But you didn't think you had an actual crush on him until he went on his first quest. You found yourself missing him in a different way than you missed Annabeth and Grover. Not more, they were important to you, just different. It was after your friend Silena shared her feelings towards Beckendorf that you realized
"He's so handsome!"She sighed dreamily, earning an eyeroll from Katie,"And he's so nice to me even when i don't do anything and he's always offering to help me and he's just so sweet!"She squealed causing Katie to grimace and you to laugh.Silena noticed her expression and huffed,"Oh,c'mon,Katie!Haven't you ever had a crush?Haven't you ever wanted to always spend time with someone more than anyone else and make sure they're always happy?Wanted to kiss them and go on dates with them?"You froze. That first part was exactly what you felt towards Percy. As for the kissing and going on dates, you imagined doing that with him and while it embarrassed you,you found it also gave you magical butterflies in your stomach. You had a crush on Percy.
You didn't tell Katie or Silena about your realization. Not because you were ashamed of your feelings-quiet the opposite, you were happy to have them-but because Katie would tease you and Silena was horrible at keeping secrets. So you kept it all inside your head. But that didn't mean you were going to hide how much you cared about him
When Percy,Annabeth and Grover came back from their quest, you tackled the three of them in a group hug."I missed you guys so much!"Percy liked hearing those words coming from you.A lot.The trio hugged you back and the four of you went to celebrate their success with the rest of the camp. The next day, after all your schedules cleared, they told you the details of their quest as you listened in amazement
Tyson assumed you were Percy's girlfriend after seeing you interact and eagerly began calling you his sister. You were touched and Percy found it cute until Tyson explained why he called you that while the two of them and Annabeth went on their Grover rescue mission and he flusteredly tried to convince him otherwise while Annabeth laughed her ass off
You were the first friend Thalia made when she got turned into a human again by the fleece
You treated her with kindness instead of weariness like the other campers did and she spent time with you in thanks and you two became close. She got you into Green Day and you helped her with her mist-controlling training and you both soon came to think very highly of eachother without putting the other on a pedestal
One night, while you,her and Annabeth were having a sleepover in the Zeus cabin where the three of you had played games and shared funny stories, she asked you to use your magic to give her a blue streak in her hair like she'd always wanted and after a few seconds of hesitation in fear of messing up(like turning her hair into kelp or something),you tried your best and succeeded."Thank you so much,Y/n!"She said excitedly after Annabeth handed her a mirror so she could see it."Hey!You should get one too! Then we can match!"Annabeth watched with a warm smile as Thalia slung an arm around your shoulder and assured you that you'd look great. She hadn't seen her this happy since the two of them and Luke had been traveling and it made her know that despite the sadness that she hid, she'd be okay
Percy nearly spit out his pancakes when he saw you walk in that morning with (favorite color)streaks in your hair, which you had started growing out and putting in box braids with baby hairs. You looked even more like a magical princess than the first time he'd seen you.He composed himself before you could spot him but couldn't keep his eyes off you.He usually wasn't one for fancy words but you looked straight up etheral. When you finally looked over at his table, smiling at him,he gave the most awkward smile he'd given in his life and resisted the urge to yelp when you stood and began walking towards him
"Hi,Perce!Sorry if this is a weird question but what do you think of my new hair?"You tugged on one of your braid almost...flirtatiously?No,it couldn't be.You would never flirt with him."You look...like a goddess."He managed to be honest and you started twiddling with your fingers. Why were you so adorable? "Thanks.I'll let you get back to your breakfast!"He wanted to call out to you as you walked back to the Zeus table but the words died in his throat
"I can't believe you convinced me to say that to Percy!"You said, burying your face in your hands and Thalia laughed good-naturedly."It was worth it!Did you see his face?He looked like he just saw Aphrodite!"You peeked at her through your fingers,"You really think so?"She smiled softly at you,"Really!Percy likes you-in a wants to date you way.I've seen the way he looks and talks about you.I'm no romance expert but i know a crush when i see one."You trusted Thalia's words and felt more confident in your feelings for Percy.Your crush wasn't love yet but it was close to it.Little did you know,it was the same for Percy
After Chiron broke the news of Annabeth being kidnapped, you didn't feel as peppy as usual. You did your best to be nice to everyone like always despite that but couldn't hold back your rage at Percy, the boy you almost loved, and Thalia, one your best friend's,for fighting when Annabeth could be suffering. So you yelled at them for being immature and both paused their almost battle to look at you in shock. They'd never seen you this angry before and it made them feel both impressed with how scary your glare was and guilty for putting that look on your face in the first place. Before they could apologize to you,the oracle began walking towards Zoe and it took up the attention of all three of you
After the quest was given out,Percy and Thalia put their differences aside for the moment to seek you out and apologize together. You sighed fondly, unable to stay mad them, and hugged them both, saying you accepted it.They hugged you back, smiling at you,and when you broke apart, you wished Thalia luck on her quest and gave her a kiss on the cheek
Later, when you weren't around,Thalia taunted Percy over this."Are you jealous that i got a kiss from Y/n before you did?" "Shut up,Pinecone Face!I don't want kisses from Y/n!" "Whatever you say, mister are you a princess~" "WHO TOLD YOU ABOUT THAT?!"
Percy met Aphrodite and she looked like a mix of you and his mother and when he later found out that her apperance was whatever the person that was looking at her found most beautiful,he couldn't help but smile to himself. His feelings for you made him so happy
"Tell Y/n how you feel, okay? She's important to me and anyone paying attention can see how much you care about her.Don't keep her waiting."Percy nodded to the words Thalia whispered in his ear when they hugged at Olympus. He wasn't quiet ready yet but he wanted to be
So when he got back to camp,he asked you a question after telling you about his quest."Do you want to iris message eachother while we're away from camp?I really miss you when i'm in New York.Aaah, sorry,i'm being weird again-" "Percy."You cut him off and he blinked when you grabbed his hand, wearing that familiar grin."I'd love to."He grinned back.He was so excited!
He iris messaged you every morning after getting ready for the day and you did the same for him every night after your bedtime routine(he thought you looked so cute in your bonnet).Sally eventually stumbled upon one of your convos and you and her hit it off.You were honored to finally meet her and she dotted on you like her own daughter and (ignore this part if you're latina/dominican vnbmn)even helped you with your spanish and taught you about dominican culture
The daily and nightly conversations made your and Percy's feelings grow into love at last. And you both knew it.So,when you arrived to his 15th birthday party, with Sally explaining that driving you here was her surprise gift to him,he saw his chance to confess
You hugged and after his party,he tugged on the sleeve of your Green Day shirt with the hand that wasn't holding your slice of blue cake."Y/n,can i talk to you in...private?"He realized asking you to come to his room directly would have some...implications...and he didn't want you to think he was going to try something when you weren't even dating. You nodded and followed him to his room. You sat on his bed and swung your black ripped stockings clad legs, smiling at him."What do you want to talk to me about?"
He sat down next to you, nervous, and handed you your piece."I'll eat it after you say what you want to say to me."You cupped his face with one hand, giving him the most tender and sincere smile he'd ever seen."Seriously,Percy, what's up?"
"Y/n..."He fought away the nervousness in his throat,"I love you."You gasped in shock and retracted your hand and he grabbed it,his face so soft that he looked even more handsome than normal."I love you so,so much.I want to take you on dates and get you gifts and-"His expression became bashful and you leaned forward, absorbing his words as your heart sang and a smile graced your face once again."-kiss you and hold hands with you.I want to be your boyfriend and for you to be my girlfriend. If you want to."
"Of course i want to!I love you so,so much too,Percy!"Percy beamed and you couldn't help but ask,"Can we kiss?"Punching down his embarrasment,he nodded eagerly and leaned in,embracing your lips with his.You melted into eachother, hugging. He tasted salty and you tasted of gingersnap cookies.Bursting with joy,you both refused to break the kiss until you needed air and when you did,he clung to you."Was i a good first kiss,Princesa?"He asked cheekily and laughed when you stuttered and pushed him away."PERCY!"
Nico(who is still gay but dosen't have a crush on Percy here because i want him to suffer less than in canon)arrived then to tell Percy about his plan and Percy convinced him that you're trustworthy so he told both of you.You promised to not tell anyone about it and he thanked you
You and Percy are happier than ever now that you're together
Nico wanted to be on your good side(and to be your friend but shhh)so he offered to shadow travel you to Percy's sometimes during the school year so you could go on your dates and you and Percy did small nice things for him like bringing him food in return
On your first date, you went on a picnic and he brought you sandwitches,(favorite fruit)s and his mom's blue chocolate chip cookies, which became the new flavor of nectar when you eat it
The 'Princesa' nickname sticks and you can't deny that it makes you feel good about how Percy views you
For your first halloween together, you dressed up as Dickkory(with you wearing one of Kory's more modest outfits)
You announced your new status as a couple to your CHB friends when you went to stay there during winter break.Annabeth had slapped Percy on the back in pride with almost enough force to knock him over and Grover hugged you both in congratulations while Silena gushed over how cute you were together."Don't hurt her or you'll never be able to pick strawberries again."Katie told him in a matter of fact tone and he nodded, not wanting to know what she meant
You hold hands whenever you can but kiss only in private because neither of you want to get teased(Silena had made a make out point joke once when Percy kissed your cheek after you defeated her in a spar and you had turned into a mouse and hid from them for the next hour)
You fought fiercely in the battle against the titan army and found your magic didn't have as many limitations as you thought it did.You were in disbelief at how much power you had but didn't complain
As soon as Percy got back to camp from asking his gift from the Olympians,he ran to look for you, praying you were okay, and scooped you up into his arms when found you.You yelped but became happy when you realized who it was and wrapped your arms around his neck before connect your lips in relief of the fact that he was alive. He kissed back and was so,so,so glad to have you in his life
You had always taken care of eachother's hearts and that was never going to change
Hope you enjoyed💙✨If you did, consider leaving a nice comment/tag,even just saying it was good(not to sound arrogant gjgkh)! It'll make me want to write Jason headcanons with a daughter of Hades reader!

Just Practice - Chapter 15
this is the most important chapter in the story so far since chapter seven, so i hope you enjoy this! if you could drop a comment and/or reblog to support all the hard work, it would mean a lot to me!
here’s the ao3 link
The first thing that greeted Annabeth when she stepped out of her car was the sound of crashing waves and the smell of sea salt carried on a gentle breeze. She leaned against the side of her car and drank in the view of the ocean, relishing in the way the wind tousled her hair. The beach was packed with families and college students on spring break, and for good reason. It was late March, and the weather was absolutely perfect outside. The sand was pleasantly warm between her toes, and seagulls cawed overhead in a clear blue sky.
Coming to the beach for spring break had been Rachel’s idea. Her father owned a villa not far from the shore, and she had offered to let them all stay there overnight. It was exactly what Annabeth needed after the past month and a half. After Percy’s victory at state, Annabeth had been absolutely swamped with school work. Nearly every week there was some new project deadline, essay to turn in, or exam to study for, and by the time finals rolled around, Annabeth found herself running on fumes. She hadn’t realized how bad it was until she came home after her final exam and promptly passed the fuck out in her room only to wake up the following afternoon, seventeen hours later.
Annabeth gave herself some time to just stand barefoot in the sand until Piper texted her, informing her that she and Jason were setting up camp further down the beach where it was more secluded. Taking that as her cue to move, Annabeth leisurely made her way down the beach and found Piper and Jason a few minutes later, trying to set up a beach umbrella. The umbrella was an ancient red and white striped monstrosity that looked like it had seen better days. Annabeth watched her friends struggle for a while, amused by how frustrated they were getting when the base of the umbrella slipped in the sand, until Piper noticed her and scowled.
“Are you just gonna stand there and watch or do you plan on helping out?” Piper huffed.
“But you were doing oh so well without me,” Annabeth said innocently. “I wouldn’t want to get in the way or anything.”
Jason put a hand on Piper’s shoulder before she could snap and offered Annabeth a tired smile. “We could really use your help, Annabeth.”
“Well, since you asked so nicely.”
Piper muttered something foul under her breath, but Annabeth couldn’t help grinning anyways before she went to help Jason. It took longer than she would have liked, but eventually the three of them managed to get the umbrella to stay in place, just as Hazel, Frank, and Leo arrived.
Leo pointed at the umbrella and said, “That thing looks like it came straight out of the fifties.”
“Shut it, Valdez,” Piper snapped. “We just spent nearly twenty minutes trying to get that fucker to stay still.”
Leo held his palms up in surrender. “Ok, apologies. Looks like someone got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. I get it. It’s cool.”
“That wasn’t an invitation to keep talking,” Piper warned.
Leo pantomimed zipping his lips, making Annabeth grin. Rolling her eyes, Hazel unzipped her backpack and handed each of them a bottle of homemade lemonade.
“Hopefully, it’s still cold and all the ice didn’t melt,” Hazel said.
Piper took a sip and moaned, “Hazel, you’re a goddamn lifesaver.”
“Don’t make noises like that in public,” Annabeth quipped.
Although she wanted to glare at Annabeth, Piper spotted Rachel and Percy further down the beach and called out to them instead. Annabeth’s heart suddenly began pounding harder in her chest, and she found herself involuntarily searching for him over her shoulder. They had barely talked or even seen each other since State, so she had expected to be more excited to see him, but she found herself strangely nervous instead. The nervousness only grew worse for some reason when Percy noticed her and sent her a warm smile.
“Sorry we’re late,” Percy said. “Rache forgot something so we had to drive back to her place.”
“Let’s not sweat the details,” Rachel said, waving her hand dismissively. “Now, I don’t know about you all, but I am dying to get into the water. Anyone know where the changing rooms are?”
“I saw some on the way here,” Hazel said. “Annabeth, did you want to join us?”
Annabeth cleared her throat and shook her head. “Uh, no, I’m wearing my swimsuit under my clothes already.”
With that, Hazel nodded and left with Rachel for the changing rooms. The boys went down to the water, but Percy stayed behind since he had brought some beach towels with him. He spread them beneath the umbrella so they wouldn’t have to sit on the sand. Piper left a short while later once she was done applying some sunscreen, leaving Annabeth and Percy alone. Annabeth borrowed Piper’s sunscreen as an excuse to leave after Percy did, but he plopped down beside her with a sigh instead.
Annabeth couldn’t help sneaking a quick sidelong glance at him. He looked good, really good. His unzipped black sweatshirt billowed in the breeze and stood in sharp contrast to the white shirt he wore underneath. There was a relaxed, easy smile on his face, and his sun-kissed skin made him look positively radiant.
“Hey, stranger,” Percy said, derailing her thoughts. “Haven’t seen you in a hot minute.”
Annabeth tucked her hair behind her reddening ears and said, “Y-Yeah, not since State, I think.”
“Glad to see you’re still in one piece,” Percy said.
Annabeth breathed a laugh. “Not entirely sure about that.”
Percy cocked his head to the side and studied her. “You do look a little worse for the wear.”
“Rude.”
“And who’s fault is that?” Percy asked, raising an eyebrow. “I distinctly remember warning you not to take three AP courses your senior year, but you wouldn’t listen to me.”
Annabeth scowled and said, “You don’t have to sound so smug about it.”
Percy laughed and leaned back on his elbows. “And what would be the fun in that? It’s not every day that you get to tell Annabeth Chase that you told her so.”
“Someone sure sounds awfully pleased with himself.”
“Oh, believe me, I am,” Percy said, grinning. “But I do suppose I can cut you some slack. You know, considering how we’re at the beach and all.”
“How magnanimous of you,” Annabeth deadpanned.
Percy made a show of clapping mildly. “Oh, well done. That sounded like an SAT word.”
Annabeth barked a laugh despite herself and shoved him, but that only made his grin widen. She was relieved to feel the awkwardness dissipating between them, but her respite was short lived because Percy suddenly removed his shirt and tossed it on the towel beside her.
“W-What are you doing? Why are you taking off your clothes?” Annabeth stammered, unable to hide the panic in her voice.
Percy looked at her like she had sprouted a second head. “It’s kind of hard to go swimming when you still have your clothes on.”
Annabeth looked away to hide the fact that her face was turning pink. “I know that! But can’t you go change in the changing rooms?”
Percy blinked in surprise and said, “Oh, sorry. You’ve seen me do this like a hundred times, so I didn’t think that you’d mind.”
He was right. She had seen him shirtless more times than she could count, so why was she suddenly being so weird about it? She needed to get a fucking grip. And yet, it was everything she could do not to stare shamelessly at him. Christ, at this proximity, the scent of his cologne was inescapable, and it only served to make her feel even more flustered.
“Annabeth, are you okay? You’ve been acting really strange,” Percy said.
“I-I’m fine,” Annabeth squeaked. “Just tired.”
“Alright, try not to push yourself,” Percy said, standing up. “I’m gonna head down to the water now. Let me know if you need anything.”
Annabeth nodded, still refusing to look at him. It was only after he was gone that she stopped holding her breath. She screwed her eyes shut and buried her face in her hands. What the fuck was she doing? Why was she acting so weird? All her feelings seemed to contradict one another. She felt a bizarre mix of exhilaration and anxiety, like thousands of butterflies fluttering about in the pit of her stomach. Her eyes were drawn to Percy even though she couldn’t bear to look at him. There was definitely something wrong with her.
Annabeth took a deep breath and forced herself to stand up and head down to the water. For now, she resolved herself to just make the most of her time at the beach instead of wallowing in her own awkwardness. Nevertheless, she did make a point of avoiding where Percy was to give herself a breather. However, in her momentary lapse of concentration, Piper snuck up on her and tackled her into the sea, sending salt water rushing up her nose.
She surfaced sputtering and discombobulated only to find Piper laughing uproariously behind her. Annabeth chased after her in a murderous rage, but Piper quickly retreated to the sea and put some distance between them. Piper had always been the better swimmer, so it took a few minutes before Annabeth finally caught her, but once she did, Annabeth dunked her underwater for a full minute as payback.
Eventually, Rachel and Hazel returned from the changing rooms and joined them in the water as well. They all splashed around together for a few hours under the midday sun, and Annabeth forgot all about how awkward she felt around Percy.
They broke for lunch after that and settled on a shack that sold burgers further up the beach. Unfortunately, the only vegetarian option on the menu was fries, so Piper had to drive herself to a nearby Taco Bell. Annabeth couldn’t help feeling sorry for her when Piper returned twenty minutes later, absolutely livid, because the rest of them had already finished eating.
“I can’t fucking believe there are still restaurants in this day and age that don’t have vegetarian options,” Piper fumed.
“Remind me to buy some stuff for dinner tonight so you don’t have to do this again,” Rachel said, yawning.
“How far away is your villa again?” Frank asked.
“Just a fifteen minute drive or so,” Rachel said, finishing her salad. “We’ve got a firepit out back, so we can have a bonfire tonight! We can make smores and everything.”
“Dibs on lighting the bonfire,” Leo said quickly.
“Abso-fucking-lutely not,” Piper said vehemently.
“C’mon, I promise I’ll keep it under control this time, Pipes,” Leo pleaded.
“The last time you were in charge of the bonfire, you nearly burned my fucking house down,” Piper snapped.
“That was like three years ago!”
“It was at my birthday last June.”
“I’ll handle the fire, Leo,” Jason interrupted. “You can help me out if you’d like.”
Leo sank in his seat and crossed his arms over his chest. “You guys are no fun.”
“A bonfire sounds nice,” Frank said, ignoring him.
“Yeah, it’ll be chill,” Rachel said, nodding. “We’ll have a section of the beach all to ourselves. I think my dad probably has some alcohol stashed away somewhere in the house.”
“Percy, watch over us and make sure we don’t do anything stupid,” Piper said, throwing an arm around his shoulder.
Percy gave her a wary look. “I don’t recall volunteering to be a babysitter.”
“But you’re the only one here that doesn’t drink,” Piper protested. “Pretty please?”
Percy raised an eyebrow. “Buttering me up isn’t going to work, you know.”
“Annabeth, help me convince your boyfriend,” Piper whined.
Annabeth paused mid-drink and looked between them. “Don’t look at me. I’m not the one that’ll get black-out drunk and try to like hunt for mermaids or something.”
That got a laugh out of everyone, much to Piper’s chagrin.
After they finished eating, they returned to their spot under the umbrella. Hazel and Frank went back to laze around in the water while Rachel and Leo decided to go build sandcastles on the beach. The rest of them sat under the umbrella and talked amongst themselves for a while, but eventually Jason left for the bathroom. Percy joined him because he said he had spotted a shop selling snow cones on the way here, leaving Annabeth alone with Piper.
Once they were out of earshot, Piper turned to Annabeth with a wolfish grin. “Lovin’ the swimsuit, babe.”
“This is hardly anything special,” Annabeth said, rolling her eyes. She was just wearing a plain black two piece she’d found at Target the summer before.
Piper raised an eyebrow and said, “Percy certainly seemed to think it was. Boy couldn’t take his eyes off you.”
Annabeth blinked in surprise. Piper had to be trolling her. Sure, she had felt his eyes on her a few times, but that didn’t mean anything.
“You’re obviously fucking with me.”
“I’m being serious,” Piper laughed. “You look hot, Annababe.”
Annabeth looked down at her swimsuit and felt her face heat up. She didn’t really think she was much to look at honestly. It wasn’t like she had low self-esteem or anything, but her body had always been more of an instrument to her than a source of beauty. If you asked her, the only things she really had going for her were her height and the slender, toned physique that she had built over years of running long distance. Beyond that, Annabeth thought she was rather plain.
“Thanks,” Annabeth mumbled.
“You’re welcome,” Piper said, stifling a yawn. “I wonder what’s taking him so long.”
Annabeth shielded her eyes from the sun and scanned the beach for Percy, but she didn’t see him anywhere. Instead of sitting around and getting stuck in her thoughts, Annabeth decided to take her mind off things and search for him instead.
She stood up and brushed the sand off her thighs and said, “I’m gonna go look for him.”
“Ok, stay safe,” Piper said. “I think I’m going to take a nap.”
Annabeth nodded and made her way back in the direction of the parking lot. Percy had said that the snow cone shop was on the other end, but he still should have gotten back by now. Maybe he was having trouble carrying all those snow cones by himself or perhaps the line was really long. She made it all the way to the shop without running into Percy, and she couldn’t see him standing in line either.
She scanned the surrounding area for him without much luck and almost gave up on her search when she spotted the familiar outline of his back. He was cradling a carton of snow cones in his arms and talking to two college aged girls. Annabeth took a step forward, trepidation filling her chest. She couldn’t make out the look on his face because his back was turned towards her, but she thought she caught a glimpse of a polite, confused smile on his face, like he wasn’t entirely sure why the girls were talking to him.
Annabeth balled her hands in fists at her sides and clenched her jaw. It was obvious by the way the girls laughed sycophantically and twirled their hair, practically thrusting their tits in his face, that they were hitting on him. What did the idiot think would happen if he was gonna waltz around the beach shirtless like that?
She had half a mind to go over and interrupt them, but for some reason she found herself rooted in place. Annabeth wasn’t sure why she disliked them so much, but the more she thought about it, the less reason she realized she had to interfere. Percy wasn’t actually her boyfriend after all. Besides, he was free to leave at any time, but he hadn’t which probably meant he wanted to be there. In any case, it was none of her business to step in.
And yet, she couldn’t force herself to simply turn on her heels and leave either.
But then one of the girls, a haughty looking redhead, started tugging on his forearm insistently. Percy made a small show of resistance, enough to show he wasn’t interested, but apparently they didn’t seem to pick up on that because the other girl decided to help her friend by tugging Percy’s other arm.
Annabeth moved without realizing what she was doing and pulled Percy against her chest. A possessive thrill rushed through her when the look of discomfort on his face gave way to relief once he saw her.
She positioned herself in front of Percy and glared at the girls. “What’s going on here?”
The redhead’s eyes flashed with irritation, but she forced herself to muster a saccharine smile. “Oh, we were just inviting him to come have some drinks with us.”
“Can’t you see he’s clearly uncomfortable?” Annabeth asked. “I’m guessing he even told you he doesn’t drink too.”
The girls exchanged looks with each other. “I mean, he was obviously joking about that.”
Annabeth raised an eyebrow. “Or maybe you just don’t know how to take no for an answer.”
The girls recoiled like they had been slapped across the face. Annabeth took the opportunity to whisper to Percy that they were leaving and led him away by the hand before the girls could react. The girls protested behind them, but the only thing Annabeth could focus on was the feeling of Percy’s hand in hers. Blood pounded in Annabeth’s ears, and something simmered in her veins like magma. It took her a while to realize that Percy was calling out for her to stop.
“Annabeth, slow down,” Percy said. “You’re hurting me.”
Annabeth dropped his wrist like she’d been burned and looked away. “Sorry.”
Percy set the snow cones down and rubbed his wrist. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.”
“Are you sur-”
“I said I’m fine,” Annabeth snapped.
Her tone was harsh enough to prove she was lying, but she couldn’t help it. Something dark smoldered in the pit of her stomach, making her restless. She didn’t know what it was, but the sensation was intolerable and she wanted it to stop.
Percy put a hand on her shoulder and forced her to face him. “Hey, what’s wrong?”
Annabeth balled her hands into fists and stared at her feet. “I-I don’t know. I’m just- I don’t know, I feel really weird.”
“What do you mean?”
“I just hated it, seeing the way they were clinging on to you,” Annabeth said tightly. “Why didn’t you just leave? It was like you wanted them to fawn all over you.”
“I tried but they wouldn’t let me leave.”
Annabeth met his eyes for the first time. “If you really wanted to leave, they wouldn’t have been able to stop you.”
Percy blinked in surprise and furrowed his brow. “Are you- are you jealous?”
Annabeth crossed her arms over her chest, and her face began to prickle. “I-I don’t know. I just didn’t like it.”
Percy’s lips tugged upwards involuntarily in a smile, making Annabeth even angrier. “What’s so funny?”
Percy hid his smile behind his hand. “Oh, um, nothing. Sorry. I just wanted to say that you didn’t have anything to worry about. They were making me super uncomfortable.”
Annabeth pursed her lips and said, “I find that kind of hard to believe.”
“Annabeth, come on, you could tell that they were creeping the fuck out of me from a mile away,” Percy said exasperatedly.
That was enough to coax a smile out of her. “You mean you didn’t like getting eye fucked by total strangers?”
Percy gave her an incredulous look and said, “You know, having tried it, I can’t really say it’s for me.”
“Yeah?” Annabeth asked, grinning.
“Yes,” Percy said flatly. “Besides, I already have a lovely fake-girlfriend willing to save me when I’m a damsel in distress.”
Annabeth’s heart skipped a beat. “Sounds like a real catch.”
“Oh, she most definitely is.”
Annabeth knew that Percy had meant it as a joke, but it made her heart squeeze a little in her chest all the same. She turned away before her face turned red and fought the ridiculous urge to smile. Christ, she needed to get ahold of herself.
“You good?” Percy asked carefully.
Annabeth nodded. “Yeah.”
“We should get going then,” Percy said. “The snow cones are starting to melt.”
“And who’s fault is that?” Annabeth said, raising an eyebrow.
“Don’t be rude to the guy that bought you a strawberry-rhubarb snow cone.”
“A thousand apologies, your majesty.”
Percy hummed happily to himself. “That’s more like it.”
:::
After sunset, they finally left the beach and made for Rachel’s villa. The villa was massive, easily twice the size of Annabeth’s house, and designed in a Spanish style. Annabeth took a moment to admire the terracotta tiled roof, and the large windows that allowed for a generous view of the Pacific. The villa had six separate bedrooms, which she personally found a bit excessive, but it proved to be for the best since there were eight of them. After Rachel took a room for herself, the rest of them drew straws to determine who would have a room to themselves, and Annabeth somehow managed to win.
Annabeth’s first course of action after dropping off her luggage was to shower. She didn’t like having to shower after spending so much time in the ocean since it made her skin all dry and wrinkly, but it was still a relief to finally wash off all the sand that had stuck to her all day. Unfortunately, Annabeth had been forced to pack in a hurry, so she could only change into what she worn earlier that morning. She had only brought a single change of clothes with her and that was for tomorrow.
She took some time to admire her room while she towel-dried her hair. It wasn’t particularly large, but it was tastefully decorated. A large queen bed sat in the center of the room, flanked by a small cherry wood drawer. Sheer linen curtains framed a tall window that looked out over the ocean. Annabeth leaned against the open window sill and drank in the view of the Pacific. The full moon hung directly overhead and cast its pale, diffused reflection onto the dark water below.
Just as she finished drying her hair, there was a knock at her door. Percy peered into her room, fiddling with the zipper on his sweatshirt.
“Hey, ready to go? I think Jason and Leo are getting the fire started.”
Annabeth set her towel aside and nodded. “Yeah, let’s go.”
The bonfire was nearly fully lit by the time they arrived. Jason sat atop one of the four logs circling the pit and kept a watchful eye on the flames. Off to the side, Frank was helping Leo dump some charcoal into the mouth of an expensive looking barbeque grill. Rachel and Hazel chatted to themselves and cut meat and vegetables at the outdoor kitchen countertop. Piper was the only one that appeared to be missing.
Percy noticed that Frank and Leo were having trouble and went over to help them with the grill, leaving Annabeth alone. She didn’t want to be the only one twiddling her thumbs so she figured she would go and help Rachel and Hazel.
“Need any help?” Annabeth asked them.
Hazel shook her head. “No thanks. We are pretty much done here, but we appreciate the offer.”
“Besides, not sure how much I trust you in the kitchen with a knife,” Rachel teased.
“I’m not completely hopeless. I made Percy chicken soup when he got sick, and he said it was pretty good,” Annabeth protested.
Rachel laughed and said, “You could literally make Percy drink poison, and he’d tell you it was delicious if you were the one that made it.”
Blood rushed to Annabeth’s face, making Rachel laugh even harder. She patted Annabeth’s shoulder benevolently and said, “Trust me. It’s for your own good, Chase.”
Annabeth shrugged her off and sat on one of the logs with a scowl. “Where’s Piper?”
“Rachel forgot to get her ingredients, so she had to go buy herself dinner again, the poor girl,” Hazel said.
Rachel looked repentant enough for Annabeth to feel sorry for her, so Annabeth tried to comfort her by saying, “She’s probably more than happy to have Taco Bell twice in one day.”
Annabeth started when someone swatted the back of her head. She turned and looked up with a frown to see Piper standing behind her, holding a burrito.
“Heard that, asshole.”
“You’re literally eating a burrito right now,” Annabeth muttered.
Piper’s face turned pink. “It’s from Chipotle! You can tell by the size!”
“Wow, someone’s getting adventurous,” Annabeth deadpanned.
Piper sat down at the log across from her, beside Jason, and narrowed her eyes. “Bite me.”
Annabeth was interrupted by Leo before she could respond. He skipped over to them with a manic grin and said, “We finally got the grill working!”
“You’re not gonna accidentally blow us up or anything right?” Piper asked dubiously.
“Pipes, charcoal can’t explode,” Leo said flatly. “I know you’re a vegetarian and all, but that’s literally second grade science class.”
“You can never be too sure when it comes to you,” Piper sniffed.
Leo rolled his eyes and waltzed over to Hazel and Rachel. “Looks like you’re almost done! I’ll start taking things over to the grill to get started.”
“Frank, make sure you keep an eye on him!” Hazel shouted when Leo took a plateful of meat and vegetables with him.
Rachel declared to the group that she would go find where her father had stashed his alcohol and returned a short while later with an assortment of liquor and a tray full of glasses. They all poured themselves drinks, apart from Percy, and sat around the fire.
Annabeth had helped herself to some fancy looking bourbon, mainly because she had never tried it before. Her first sip made her throat burn and forced her to cough. Percy gave her a worried look, but she ignored him and took another sip. Once she got over how strong it was, she had to admit that the bourbon was really good. It didn’t take long for that familiar warmth to spread through her body and soften the harsh edges of the world around her.
It took some time for the food to arrive, but it was well worth the wait. Frank had found an array of spices in the kitchen pantry to season the meat with, so even the smell was incredible. After an exhausting day at the beach, they all practically inhaled their food. Piper finished her food first since she had a head start and set up a smores station for dessert. It wasn’t long before they were fighting for spots to roast their marshmallows on the fire.
Later, Rachel disappeared inside the villa and returned with an acoustic guitar. She strummed a few chords and started singing softly, the sound of waves and the crackling fire providing an ambient backdrop. At first, she sang on her own and they were content to listen, but as they got more drunk and uninhibited, they would join in whenever she played a tune they recognized. Barring Frank and Piper, the rest of them were practically tone-deaf, so it sounded so bad that it would send them all into fits of laughter.
It was at times like this that Annabeth was struck by just how lucky she was to have such good friends. She didn’t have many good things in her life, but this was one of them and it wouldn’t last forever. There was no telling where they would all be in a years time or if they would ever be this close again, but that didn’t make her feel sad. Instead, an overwhelming sense of love and gratitude surged through her veins, compelling her to drink in every moment and seat it into her memory so that she would never forget.
But through it all, Annabeth found her eyes drawn to the boy sitting beside her the most. She unconsciously pulled herself closer to Percy over the course of the night and luxuriated in the way their elbows knocked together, a reminder that he was there. Annabeth would catch herself staring at him and the way the flames lit up his laughing face, making him all look every bit as invincible as she felt. At some point, she caught his hand and tangled his fingers between her own, and when he squeezed her hand, she smiled so hard it hurt.
As the night wore on, more of them left, unable to stay awake any longer, until eventually Percy and Annabeth were the only one remaining. The quietness was welcome change after all the noise they had been making, but it was hard not to fall asleep the sound of the rolling waves. Annabeth struggled to keep her drooping eyes open, but Percy looked perfectly fine, probably because he was the only one who hadn’t drank.
“You should go get some sleep,” Percy murmured. “Look like you’re gonna pass out.”
Annabeth hummed and rested her head on his shoulder. “Don’t want to.”
“If you’re expecting me to carry you, you’re going to be sorely mistaken,” Percy said, raising an eyebrow. “You’re too heavy.”
If she had the energy, Annabeth would have scowled. “Rude.”
Percy grinned and looked out over the ocean with a pensive, almost melancholy look. Annabeth poked his cheek with her finger to get him to look at her.
“What are you thinking about?” she asked.
“I don’t know,” Percy said. “About everything, I guess.”
“Hmm, deep.”
Percy laughed and said, “Alright, smarty pants, I was thinking about the future and my friends and you.”
“Then why do you look so sad?” Annabeth asked, sitting up straighter.
Percy blinked in surprise and said, “I look sad?”
Annabeth nodded and pressed a finger to his brow. “You’re giving yourself wrinkles, like you always do when you’re upset.”
There was a pause before Percy said, “Remember earlier when you saved me from those college girls?”
“What about it?”
Percy stared up at the sky and smiled bitterly. “I never imagined you would ever get jealous over me.”
Maybe it was the alcohol talking, but Annabeth found herself saying, “Neither did I.”
Percy turned to her with wide eyes, making her frown. “What?”
“I, uh, wasn’t expecting you to answer seriously.”
Annabeth rolled her eyes and nudged him affectionately. “I’m taking this seriously because you are.”
Percy smiled softly and said, “Thanks, I appreciate it.”
“You’re welcome, you dork,” Annabeth said fondly. “Honestly, since when did you become the serious, responsible out of the two of us. What ever happened to the kid that caught frogs during recess and put worms in Nancy Bobofit’s locker?”
Percy laughed and said, “Well, one of us had to grow up, so I figured it might as well be me.”
Annabeth half-heartedly jabbed him with her elbow. “Jerk.”
“You’ve grown up a lot too,” Percy said. “You just don’t realize it.”
“Yeah, how so?” Annabeth asked, raising an eyebrow.
“You’ve learned to temper yourself. When you were younger, it was like fire ran through your veins. You acted like the world and everything were promised to you, not out of some sense of arrogance, but like it was your birthright. I remember how you used to argue with the teachers and stuff in front of the whole class because it never occurred to you that there were people you shouldn’t pick fights with. I was always kind of in of awe of how stupidly brave you were. I still am,” Percy said, softly.
A lump formed in Annabeth’s throat. Percy was right, about everything, but that wasn’t what was getting to her. It was the fact that his words were a testament to the fact that he had been there with her since the beginning. He had seen her as a bossy, bratty little seven year old and had stuck by her side all the way till now.
“We have been through a lot together, haven’t we?” Annabeth asked thickly.
The tender look in Percy’s eyes made her heart squeeze a little in her chest. “Yeah, we have.”
Annabeth screwed her eyes shut, unable to look at him. She didn’t want this to end, but the moment was beginning to get too much for her, so she stood up suddenly.
“Alright, enough with all the sappiness,” Annabeth said. “Race you to the beach?”
Without waiting for him to respond, Annabeth took off for the water’s edge, running as hard as she could. Percy started a moment later, humoring her like always, and quickly made up the distance. If it wasn’t for the sand and the fact that she was super drunk, Annabeth would have won, but it wasn’t long before Percy caught up to her and slung her over his shoulder. Annabeth shrieked and pounded on his back.
“You better not dump me in the water, you asshole!” Annabeth yelled.
Percy ignored her and sped towards the water, making her fear for the worst. She braced herself for impact, but it never came. Instead, he set her down onto dry sand and grinned down at her. Annabeth scowled and stood up, dusting the sand off her shorts, watching as he rolled up his shorts and waded further into the water. The encroaching tide was cold enough to make her jump when it tickled her toes, but Percy seemed perfectly fine going knee deep into it.
The moonlight streamed down on him, illuminating half his face with its pale glow. Wind rustled his hair and billowed through his clothes as he stared out at the horizon. Under the moonlight, he seemed to age backwards and actually look his eighteen years - the hard lines of worry on his brow smoothened, and the tightness and frustration in his jaws released. There was something about his pale figure standing in the inky sea that made him look so beautiful and true that it made it hard for her to breathe. It reminded her of how Piper had said she had fallen for Jason, how he had seemed to glow, and she couldn’t help feeling like she understood exactly what Piper had meant.
Percy noticed her looking and raised an eyebrow. “What?”
Annabeth balled her hands into fists at her side. She wasn’t ready to say it. Not yet. “N-Nothing.”
Percy didn’t look convinced, but he shrugged all the same. Annabeth stared down at her feet so that she wouldn’t be forced to look at him, but her heart pounded in her chest urgently. She started when Percy draped his sweatshirt over her shoulders and stepped past her. It was warm, and it smelled like him.
“I’m gonna head inside,” Percy said softly. “Don’t stay out for too long, okay?”
Annabeth nodded, not trusting herself to speak. Percy lingered there for a moment longer before leaving. Annabeth waited till she heard him enter the villa before she collapsed down on the sand and hugged her knees to her chest. An explanation for her actions and feelings today were finally starting to dawn on her, which sent equal parts terror and exhilaration coursing through her as she stared up at the moon. Her inability to look at him conflicting with her desire never to leave him, the nervousness and exhilaration, the jealousy - all of it pointed to one thing. She was just having a hard time accepting it.
Whenever Annabeth had imagined falling in love, she had expected it to strike her like a bolt of lightning, illuminating her with a sudden, arresting, all-consuming knowledge.
She hadn’t ever imagined that it would be like this: soft and gentle, like an unfolding discovery, the way the petals unfurled when a flower bloomed. And yet, just as sure, just as certain.
Annabeth buried her face in her hands. Try as she might, she couldn’t deny it any longer.
Fuck.
She was in love with him, wasn’t she? She was in love with Percy Jackson.

A Bet can be costly (Percy Jackson)
A bet can be costly
It was only half past nine in the morning and already Percy and Jason were bored while hanging out in the latter's cabin. True it somewhat helped that Jason had somehow swung getting a TV and cable while even Percy despite being the son of one of the big three didn't but still there was just nothing on that held either boys attention for long.
Of course Percy despite his claims of being strait and sighting the fact he was dating Annabeth as proof of said straightness he found himself looking over at Jason who was in just his black shorts and nothing else as he relaxed on the cream colored sofa that the two boys where sharing.
Jason might of been younger but he was well more build compared to Percy who while wasn't fat or even chunky, was as ripped as the demi god next to him.
"Ughhhh, there is NOTHING to do.." Jason groaned and shut the tv off, leaning back and closing his eyes, then smirking and turning to look at Percy as he opened them. "Well almost nothing, but I don't think you're man enough for a little bet I have in mind."
Percy huffed a little at that, ever since he'd been caught with wet pants during a party, everyone had started to treat him like a little guy, even though he had to be one of the most hung guys there!
(Well at least he thought so, it wasn't exactly like he went around and measured everyone else's ding dongs.)
"I can take on any bet you have in mind!" he said and crossed his arms.
'heh, gotcha~' Jason thought and then flashed his pearly whites at Percy.
"Alright, but if you don't wanna take the bet even after I say it, don't feel bad alright?" Jason said, and waited for Percy, who was getting somewhat fussy to nod in agreement.
"Ok buddy, The bet is simple enough.. we're gonna drop our pants and compare cock sizes. Whoever is bigger wins, and the loser has to be the winner little boy for the summer, and do whatever he's told."
"..Where you dropped on your head as a child?" Percy asked, raising a eyebrow but then smirking. "But Fine, you're gonna look sooo cute as my little boy Jason. It's you who might wanna back down, I'm packing some major heat here." Percy said and patted his crotch.
'..Ok he's just asking for a cuddle now. just too cute.' Jason thought then out loud went "Well Mr.Jackson, if you're so sure of yourself go right ahead."
"heh, Wanna spare yourself the humiliation huh? I'll let you keep your modesty." Percy said, really full of himself now as he stood up and started to tug down his black jogging pants. "Your about to see why Annabeth walks funny every time she comes over to my cabin~"
with his pants around his ankles and his plaid boxer's on display, Percy hooked his thumbs in the waistband and shot Jason a shit eating grin.
"Last chance to back out, though I hope you don't. you're gonna look fucking adorable in a sailor suit on the beach making me sand castles."
"Sheesh you trying to be a Pro wrestler with all that trash talking, shut up and show me what you got." Jason laughed, the sheer attuide coming from Percy was just too cute, double so when he knew a few things about Annabeth that Percy didn't.
Smirking Percy dropped his shorts and showed off all 7 inches of his fuck meat, not as thick as he would of liked but it got the job done and his pubes were neatly trimmed , almost a buzz cut.
"Face it Jason, your F'ed in the A." Percy said, reaching down and stroking his semi soft cock and gaining a half inch as it went to full on stiff mode.
"Oh my~ That IS quite impressive Percy, way more then I thought a pants pisser would of had." Jason said and stood up, hooking his thumbs in his shorts. it was well known he went commando so there would be no build up here. "Too bad it's still not enough."
"What?" Percy asked, looking confused and then Jason's shorts hit the floor and a soft 8 inch cock was looking back at Percy, at least TWICE the thickness of Percy's proud fuck meat!
"But, wait, there's more!" Jason said in his best TV infomercial voice, and with a couple of pumps his cock jumped up to 10 inches and was leaking a little cock drool.
"H-Holy fuck!" Percy squeaked.
"So do we need the measuring tape? or compare them side by side or do you wanna be a good boy and take your shirt off so big brother can get you dressed little man?" Jason asked.
"ah..ah..about that..see..I uh..I was totally kidding about making you do anything.." Percy was saying, trying to back away from Jason now with his pants and undies around his ankles. "T-this was all just a silly joke so I don't think we reall-"
"Percy, I'm going to ask one more time, for you to finish striping, or you'll be going over my lap little man." Jason said, bending down and tugging his shorts back up.
"Well ok, when you put it that way that soun- LOOK A DISTRACTION!" Percy yelled and pointed behind Jason and then went to run, instantly tripping and boinking his face off the floor since he hadn't kicked the clothes off.
"heh..I can see you're going to be a handful." Jason said and walked over and picked the dazed Percy up.
"I can taste purple!" Percy coo'ed.
"-snek-, I bet you can."
After making sure that Percy wasn't concussed, Jason waited for a few for the poor soon to be little guy to get his marbles back, and when Percy did he'd find himself over Jason's lap, a firm hand on his lower back to keep Percy from taking off.
The boy had been stripped naked by this point and Jason had made sure his cabin was far enough away from the water to keep Percy from using any of his powers, plus his own taps and water tank were enchanted to 'help keep Percy honest'.
"i.. what... Ah!" Percy yelped as he came to his sense and realized the situation he was in.
"welcome back buddy." Jason said, rubbing his free hand on Percy's bubble butt, almost kneeing the semi fatty flesh of the older boys butt. "Never knew you had so much junk in your trunk!"
"S-Shut up!" Huffed Percy even as he fought to get free, but it was clear who of the two was the stronger and a sudden SWAT to his ample back side (when made a ripple to Jason's delight) stopped him.
"J-J-Jason...Big Brother..I-if I promise to be good, can we skip th-" Percy started.
"Sorry buddy, I don't wanna do this anymore then you wanna be spanked." Jason started, a bold face lie but still. "But you need to learn if your not a good boy there is a fallout. I'll only go with 10 swats THIS time and hopefully you won't make me punish you more."
Percy whimpered, giving a weak token effort to get free but Jason could tell he had more or less accepted his fate and in a small way made Jason hate he STILL had to follow though.
Figuring it was better to get this over with Jason brought his hand down hard on Percy's cheeks, making the demi god guy out and kick his legs.
before Percy could even fully process that swat the second was already happened, Jason wanted this to be fast and hard.
He was all of five swats in, and Percy was blubbering like a baby, his hot tears flowing freely when he felt Percy stiffen on his lap.
"JASON STAP I HAF-" Percy started to warn and then..
well Jason was glad he'd pick a bar stool he had for the spanking as his lap and legs were drenched and a smelly puddle was made as Percy's bladder unloaded itself.
"I-I'm sorry please don't spank me morrrrre!" Percy sobbed.
Jason, despite being soaked in his little guys wee wee, just tugged Percy up and hugged him, wincing slightly as the bawling Percy got snot all over his shoulder while glomping him.
'Yeah..we're gonna share a shower.' he thought.
One wash up later and Jason and Percy were cleaned and dried off, with Jason in a fresh pair of shorts and a t-shirt while Percy was just wrapped up in a big fluffy towel whining softly still.
As it had turned out Percy was NOT a fan of showers, and had wanted to go for a bath despite Jason pointing out how bad of a idea that would of been. Having to put his foot down Jason had been forced to threaten anther trip over his knee to get Percy into said shower.
Now with Jason dressed it was Percy's turn and Jason rummaged though a dresser drawer and came out with a perfect little guy outfit made to Percy's size, clearly he had been planning this for awhile.
Said outfit was a pair of white socks with little anchor designs in dark silver all over them, a pair of briefs likewise with the anchors on them and then following up from that, a pair of cream white shorts and a sailor top.
"..How long have you been-" Percy started to ask.
"long enough, now lay back and let big bro get you dressed. and try not to have anymore accidents little man." Jason chuckled, and smirked as Percy huffed and stuck his tongue out at him.
"You shouldn't stick out your tongue, only snakes and fools do that and snakes don't have arms and legs so you must be a fool~" Jason teased.
"Oh WHATEVER!" Percy fumed and went to stick his tongue out again, but seemed to think better of it.
Once the little guy was all dressed, Jason helped him stand up and kissed his forehead, Making Percy whine and squirm and lead him over to a mirror so he could look at himself, adding a little sailor cap to his head and smirking.
"...I look like a oversized 5 year old!" Percy whined, cheeks going bright red and huffing and squirming.
"That WAS what I was aiming for." Jason chuckled and smooched Percy's cheek, getting even more fussy whines from the newly turned little. "Your gonna look SO cute on the bench making me sand castles and I have a cute little swim suit for you and everything!"
"..why do i get the feeling even if I had won, you would of just found a way to little me anyways?" Percy whined.
"Heh, that kinda foresight would of served you well about half a hour ago little bro."
Leading the huffing Percy back out to the living room, Jason set out a blanket on the floor for the little guy and then as Percy sat there silent fuming, he brought over a cardboard box and set it down.
Percy peeked into the box and it was half filled with toy's that he was sure would of delighted any 4-7 year old but only made him roll his eyes and look up at Jason.
"Really?" he asked Jason."Even if I hadn't of stopped playing with toys years ago, i was more into action figures then stuffies and toy cars and boats."
"Well since video games are a no no for little guys like you and ditto for action figures, you better learn to like these." Jason chuckled.
"What? why can't I have action figures?!" Percy demanded, never mind he had JUST said he wasn't into them anymore.
"Too many little pieces that could come off when you chew on them." Jason chuckled and patted the top of Percy's hat covered head.
"I DON'T CHEW ON TOYS!" Percy semi shouted and huffed.
"That's nottttt what your mom said when I was getting her help with this." Jason said in a sing song voice. "she told me you had teeth marks all over your old power rangers toys.
"Slander and lies! ..WAIT MY MOM WAS IN ON THIS?!?" Percy shrieked.
"Heh, oh yeah. wants pictures and warned me if I make you feel too little to be ready to diaper you at night."
Percy's right eye twitched and then he went on a incoherent screaming and shouting fit that Jason let go on, just to get it out of Percy's system and was amazed it took about 10 minutes before Percy stopped, panting and huffing, spittle running down his chin.
"You wanna try that again, this time in English so I can actually understand what you say?" Jason asked, grinning ear to ear.
by the time Percy was done, Jason had tallied that normally he would of earned about four mouth washings and at least one trip over his lap, but again, was letting the little guy get one punishment free vent in.
"Free better?" Jason asked as Percy huffed and pouted.
"..Kinda."
"Good, that's the last time I'm putting up with a fit like that Percy, so I hope you got it all out of your system. next time you'll be treated like any other five year old who has a tantrum." Jason said.
"..what does that mean?" Percy asked, gulping. "A time out in the corner?"
"well a time out is part of it, but you'll find this isn't some new age parenting place. Here at camp half blood, we believe in spanking naughty little boys and girls." Jason said and the look on his face left no doubt he meant it.
"..Oh poopie." Percy whimpered.
"Really Percy? stand up and let me check. I don't smell anything." Jason said with a chuckle.
"T-That's not what I meannnnnt!"
after his twin rants and everything else, it was just about lunch time so after getting Percy to start playing with his toy cars, even though Percy looked bored out of his mind, Jason started to cook up some lunch for the boys.
"Percy, I don't hear you playing..you being good over there?" Jason called over his shoulder, cutting up some potato's to make them fries to go with the grilled cheese he was gonna make.
Percy almost snarled out a reply but the threat of a spanking was in the back of his mind and instead..
"Yeah I'm being good, I don't know how to make the cars make enough noise to convince you though." Percy said.
"oh well thats simple. Make the engine noises. go vrhoom vrhoom." Jason chuckled.
"...you are a sick sick man, you know that?" Percy asked, but knowing when he was licked, started to do the noises just like 'big brother' wanted.
blushing the whole time and feeling foolish.
'I suppose it could be worse, no one else is here. and he'll have to get tired of this before long.' Percy thought.
Of course with the way Percy's luck was going he wasn't exactly surprised when right as he thought that, the doorbell rang.
"Percy buddy, can you be a good boy and go answer the door? big bro has his hands full." Jason called.
Huffing and getting up, Percy semi stomped his way over to the door to Jason's cabin, never once realizing with his bratty attuide he seemed less like someone who didn't wanna show off his outfit and more like a huffy little guy who didn't wanna stop playing.
Opening the door without checking to see who was there, Percy entered a full body blush as his girlfriend was standing there, looking amused.
"A-Annabeth!! W-what are you doing over here?" He squeaked.
"Pfffttt, Oh my god, Jason actually got you to do it! this is too good!" She giggled. "I've known he wanted to dress you up for awhile but never in a million years would I of thought you'd -actually- do it!"
the clear amusement in her voice and the big grin on her face had Percy feeling like the little boy he was dressed up as and he squirmed and whined loudly.
"Percy! Who's at the door?" Jason called.
"I..I..It's.." Percy stammered.
"It's Annabeth!" Annabeth called over Percy's shoulder.
"Percy, don't be rude, Invite her in." Jason called.
the last thing that Percy wanted was for his girlfriend to come in but clearly it was out of his hands, so instead he looked down at the floor and then stood to the side, gesturing for her to come in.
'Dad, if your listening..I could really use a tidal wave right about now.' Percy thought.
Sadly, Either seaweed daddy wasn't listening or found this whole thing to be funny as Annabeth walked in and spotted Percy's play area, squealing with delight and laughing.
the next 20 or so minutes was spent with Annabeth 'looking after little Percy' and keeping him out of trouble while Jason made them all lunch.
As bad as playing cars and having to make the noises had been before when it was just for Jason, it was so very much worst doing it for the amusement of his girlfriend who kept asking humiliating questions, and 'Big brother' insisted that he answer them all.
"Awww are you having fun?" She coo'ed as she sat back on the couch.
"..Oh yes, Loads." Percy huffed sarcastically though to his dismay she took it as a honest answer.
"Well that's good! So which car is your favorite?" and she leaned forward now, studying the different types of toy cars.
"...I dunno, I guess the police car?" Percy said and semi shrugged his shoulders, and squirming from all of the embarrassment he was receiving.
"Heh, lots of little guys like cop cars, that makes since. Hmm..Your squirming a lot, do you need to use the potty? we don't want you to have a accident!" Annabeth said, looking mildly concerned though still grinning.
"I-I don't need help telling when I hafa potty!" Percy almost shrieked.
"Heh, tell that to the damp spot on the floor from your accident eariler." Jason called.
"Ohhh, did somebody wet his pants?" Annabeth giggled, looking totally delighted.
"I-It wasn't my fault! Jason was spanking me a-and I ju-" Percy tried to argue but got cut off.
"Oh, why did he have to spank you? were you being a bad boy?" She asked, leaning in close, eyes filled with excitement as she brushed her hair behind a ear. "Did you cry lots and lots and beg big brother to stop?"
Percy was having all sorts of warning bells going off in his head at how excited she seemed by this and just shut his mouth and crossed his arms turning away from him.
"Oh you did! Ahahahaha! Wow, spanked into submission by someone younger then you~" She teased, then got up. "Well all that aside, I don't believe you Mr.fussy pants, so come on, let's take you to the potty."
"NO! I don't have to!" Percy huffed, and winced, he HEARD how little he sounded.
"Percy, you come with me to the potty and try little man or I'll get Jason to do it. who do you think is gonna be nicer about it?" Annabeth asked.
"She's got a point buddy." Jason called over, he was almost done with the fries and grilled cheese that was gonna be supper. "Also you've had your mulligan, any more accidents and you'll be losing big boy underwear privileges."
"..You mean it gets worse then these baby briefs?!" Percy yelped out.
"Yup~ Normally next step down would be pull-ups but I couldn't find any in your size so right back to diapers." Jason called and turned and smirked. "So.. still think your good or wanna hedge your bets and go sit on the potty?"
"...I'm going to the potty because -I- choose to!" Percy huffed and scrambled to his feet.
"Mmmhmmm, whatever you have to tell yourself little man." Jason said and turned back to the cooking.
Annabeth had stood up as well and offered Percy a hand, and while he wanted to slap it away, somehow he just knew how that would end and accepted it.
"..Your waiting outside the door while I go." was the only thing Percy could think to say.
It never dawned on him that despite never being to Jason's cabin before, she seemed to know exactly where the bathroom was, though in his defense she was keeping him off guard.
"Oh my, such a big boy, going all by yourself.. Deal but remember to wipe and wash your hands."
'fuck my life..'
sitting on the potty Percy was mentally counting down how long he should play along with the potty game when he was shocked that a stream did escape him, followed by a couple of wet farts.
As such after the boy had wiped and flushed and washed his hands, his face was somehow even more crimson then before.
Not helping matters was Annabeth praising him for being a good boy and holding up a hand for a high five which Percy weakly returned.
Getting back out to the main room the table had been set and while Annabeth's and Jason's plate sat on the white table cloth, Percy's on was on top of a plastic mat shaped like a teddy bear.
when Percy whined and pointed Jason just gave a big toothy grin.
"Sorry buddy, but I've seen you eat, you're a messy eater and it's easier to wipe the plastic mat clean then to wash the table cloth. Oh! that reminds me.." Jason said as Percy fumed and took his seat.
His grilled cheese had been cut into four parts for him and his ketchup for his fries were in a little plastic bowl to the side. He was about to comment he wasn't that bad when Jason produced a teen sized bib, white in color with navy blue text on it reading 'I love my big brother!'
"..Your joking right?" Percy asked, narrowing his eyes and glaring at Jason while Annabeth covered her mouth to stifle a laugh.
"What, you don't like it?" Jason asked, pretending to sound hurt while smirking.
"What do you think?" Percy asked.
"well ok, you don't HAVE to wear the bib if you don't want to, but if your not wearing it, i want you to strip down to your undies so you don't get your new outfit all dirty buddy." Jason chuckled.
"...Give me the effing bib." Percy growled though clenched teeth.
"Ah ah ah, none of that, that was too close to a swear word for my liking. try that again and your be a little bubble breath. also, as your loving big brother." and Annabeth couldn't hold it in and laughed out loud. "..It's my job to get this on you."
"..Of course it is."
Percy's one mulligan as the bib was put on him was that his drink was at least in a cup, though Jason noticed him looking at it as he finished.
"Ok buddy, I'm taking a chance and trusting you with a big kid cup. but if you spill it, it's back to sippy cups. Or if you wanna just use one now that's ok too. you don't have to put on a show for our guest." Jason said.
A swear was almost out of his mouth when Percy caught himself, and biting down on his tongue, he just ignored Jason and started to chow down on his fries, planing to eat in silence.
However much like most of his other plans for the day, this one fell to the wayside as while Jason and Annabeth started to chow, Jason asked Percy what he'd been pretending was happening while he played with his cars.
The tone in Jason's voice made it clear Percy better come up with something quick, and so the newly turned little boy spun a tale about some cops trying to bust a smuggling ring of counterfeit toys.Percy was getting annoyed though that despite how much of a excellent bullshit story he was weaving on the spot, Jason and Annabeth were apparently distracted and ignoring him.
the only time they seemed to chime in or respond to what he was saying was when he went quiet for too long.
what the Demi god turned little guy couldn't of known though since he lacked X-ray vision was that there was a good reason the two of them were semi ignoring Percy, except to encourage him to go on between his bites of food.
Jason and Annabeth were playing footsie under the table and sending each other signals of shared attraction.
What little Percy didn't know yet, but would find out all too soon was that Annabeth had been over to this cabin more then a few times, having hooked up with Jason while Percy was off being a good boy for his mom.
The idea of cucking the son of one of the big three had just been too much of a temptation to pass up, and it had been going on far longer then Percy himself would of guessed.
She had even faked being too sick to go out with him on his birthday, just to come over and get fucked by Jason, who had truthfully ruined sex with Percy for her but she still put on a show.
The moment that let her always squirt the hardest when neither boy was available though was how she had tricked Percy into eating her out, while blindfolded after Jason had cream pied her. she claimed the funny taste was a sugar cream she had picked up from a sex shop and Jason had been there, watching from the closet as Percy licked and slurped her clean, making her moan even as the poor boys face had been screwed up.
Clearly he hadn't cared for the taste but whenever Annabeth moaned and asked how he liked it, he would reply with a choked
"I-It tastes awesome..y-you should get more."
That had made her squirt right then and there and breathlessly after, she promised Percy she would.
She hadn't even returned the favor, just had Percy climb into bed with her and removed the blind fold once Jason was out the door, cuddling him and stroking him off and on so that in the middle of the night Percy had been forced to sneak off to the bathroom and jerk off, not knowing Annabeth was awake and could hear everything from her bed.
Percy finished his food and his drink, and let out a loud Belch as he finished his story, Annabeth and Jason had finished before him but stayed seated to 'listen' to his 'amazing' story.
"Wow buddy, you have a activate imagination!" Jason coo'ed, pulling his feet away from Annabeth and giving Percy his full attention and smirking.
Of course the sea brat had gotten ketchup on his face and fingers, and on his bib. add into it that while Jason and Annabeth had been drinking root beer Percy was sporting a purple kool-aid mustache and Jupiter, he just looked so cute!
"Heh, hold still buddy, I think somebody needs a quick clean up." Jason laughed, getting up and getting a damp wash cloth and rubbing over Percy's face as the little guy squirmed.
"Stopppp! I can do it my selfff!" He whined, making Annabeth snort.
Did Percy really not hear just how much of a little guy he sound like right now?!
Either way, over his own protests he was cleaned up and given anther drink of grape juice, though this time it was in a light blue sippy cup.
And boy, if looks could kill Jason would of hit the floor stone cold dead.
"I THOUGHT you said I could use big kid cups!" Percy huffed, furrowing his brow and once again looking like the little guy he was dressed up as.
"well your gonna go back to playing while me and Annabeth watch some TV and I don't want you getting too excited playing cops that you knock over your drink without realizing it." Jason said reasonably.
"I wouldn't!" Percy whined.
"well maybe you would, maybe you wouldn't, It's my floor so I get to make the call. when we're over at YOUR place you can knock all the cups over you want." Jason said and smirked, then tapped a finger on Percy's nose.
Leading Percy over to his blanket, Jason got him sat down and noticed Annabeth tapping her chin as she looked down.
"Penny for you thoughts." He said.
"I was thinking, you know that old play mat, where it's a toy and it's toy car sized? we should get one of those for Percy!" She said grinning ear to ear.
"I think-" Percy started to say, not looking happy but he was of course cut off by Jason.
"That's a awesome idea! In fact I think Nico has one still, I'll go see if we can borrow it later!" Jason said smiling and turning to Percy. "Doesn't Annabeth have the BEST ideas little guy?"
"I can barely contain my joy." Percy muttered, huff and holding his sippy cup up and taking a drink before he said more and got his mouth washed out.
with the TV turned on Percy tried to get into the movie that Jason had popped in, but it was some sort of a romantic comedy and he hated those and found himself legit getting into playing with the cars, talking softly to himself and not realizing he was talking out loud as he did a few more police chases, then had a whole story going on about a big race going on.
He found himself drinking lots of the kool-aid, it was really sweet but seemed to dry him out and more then once he had to go and excuse himself to go pee (though Jason or Annabeth insisted on walking down with him to the bathroom, just in case he needed help)
he also found himself getting super tired despite having a good nights sleep, though he chalked it up to everything he had been though so far and laid on his tummy and put himself on eye level with the car's as he ran them back and forth, watching the shiny metal of the the hub caps move and feeling his eyelids drooping.
"Percy buddy, you wanna go for a nap?" Jason called over, pausing the movie, making Percy sit up. he'd shut his eyes for a few seconds.
"Nooo I don't need a nap." Percy huffed and whined.rubbing a fist under one eye.
"Well you were laying there with your eyes closed for about a minute." Annabeth pointed out.
"wasn't sleeping..I was..checking my eyelids for cracks!" Percy huffed, pouting, and taking anther gulp of his juice.
"well ok, if you say so. if you wanna go for a nap it's ok though." Jason said, smirking.
"What EVER." Percy huffed and laid back down switching to one of the toy boat's and laying on his back, moving it in the air now.
he played with the boat for all of 30 seconds before his eyes closed again and soon the 18 year old going on 4 at best was snoring softly on the floor.
"Sheesh, I thought you said you were only gonna give him a light dose of sleeping pills." Annabeth said softly, leaning in and kissing Jason's cheek.
"I didn't. Sea brat is just a lightweight. still, we better move to the other room if he snores as bad as you say." Jason said.
as some deep snores started to come out, the cuck'ed demi god was left on the floor to sleep it off, though before Annabeth and Jason went to go and play 'hide the pickle' they were nice enough to drape a blanket over Percy and get a pillow under his head, setting his hat on the coffee table.
Kissing and mashing lips, Jason and Annabeth almost didn't make it to his bedroom before they were all over each other, she was trying to pull off his shirt as she pressed him against the wall.
"Some one's needy." Jason teased, though he only had slightly more restraint then her.
"I haven't had a real orgasm in 2 days..you turned me into a nympho, take responsibility for it!" Annabeth moaned and begged.
A slap on the ass brought he back in line and she manged to keep her clothes on till they were in Jason's room, with her going and kicking the door shut, or trying to as it only closer 3/4's of the way.
"Jesus, look how wet you are, I'm shocked you didn't leave a puddle." Jason teased, getting her on his bed and sliding two fingers into her dripping sex and hitting all the right spots to drive her wild.
"Stop teasing and fuck me already! I need a MAN, not a BOY!" She moaned.
"Far be it from me to argue." Jason chuckled and pinning her on her back, he entered her hard and fast, just the way she liked it.
Or so he assumed from the cries of pleasure that rang out and the way her arms and legs wrapped around him, trying to pull him in deeper.
her cries were muffled by Jason's lips on hers, his tongue entering her willing mouth and making her hers and when he pulled back, she was semi drooling.
even as he rocked his hips in and out of her, he held up a finger to his lips.
"Shhh, don't wake the baby."
Percy groaned and whimpered in his sleep, having weird dreams where he only came up to Annabeth's and Jason's knee caps and they were teasing him lots and treating him even younger then they already were, when a sharp cramp in his tummy woke him up and he sat up on the floor, rubbing a eye.
"Gotta poop.." Percy mumbled, half asleep and slowly making his way up to his feet, swaying a little bit and letting out a massive fart as he did so.
the poot drew a whine and a whimper from the sleepy demi god, who held his nose as the smell reached him and toddled away as fast as he could, a little cry of 'stinky' coming out of his mouth.
heading down the hall to the bathroom, which was across from Jason's room Percy mostly didn't pay it any mind, the absence of Jason and Annabeth hadn't really clicked in his mind yet.
He likely would of ignored the room all together if he hadn't of heard a cry of pleasure coming from it, and it wasn't Jason's voice.
Toddling over Percy took a peek and his eyes went wide and his sense got a rude wake up call, there was his girlfriend naked and bouncing up and down on top of Jason who was fondling her tits as he cried out and and had her hands on his wrists, encouraging it.
even as he took in the site and felt a rage boiling over, Percy's little sailor shorts painfully tented out and a cramp hit, making him go to his knees and keep watching.
"Fuck fuck fuck, you're so much better then Percy~" Annabeth was moaning and mewing, trying to lean down for a kiss. Jason instead rolled and now was on top of her, fucking her like the whore she was and looking over in Percy's direction, smirking.
"Of course I am. He's just a little cuck boi. I bet if he knew what was happening he'd just suck his thumb and jerk off." Jason said, and winked at Percy.
Percy wanted to get up and storm in there, to pound on Jason and put him in his place.
Instead he found himself reaching into his shorts and jerking his painfully hard cock, which had already leaked pre though the briefs and the shorts and his thumb found it's way into his mouth, sucking on it.
"Hell I bet once we get his stupid ass back in diapers, he'll be more then willing to prep daddy for mommy. can you picture him bobbing up and down on my cock, thickly diapers and whimpering but rubbing the front of his huggies?" Jason added.
Percy missed Annabeth's reply, mostly because as Jason said it Percy was picturing himself doing it, and accordingly the thumb started to move in his mouth, as if he was practicing for daddy.
"Might even let him have a load or two..I know you're gonna breast feed him but I wanna give him some daddy milk too." Jason chuckled, fucking Annabeth in ways Percy knew he never could and he whimpered around his thumb.
Normally Percy's stamina was as such he could fuck for at least half a hour without blowing his load but whether it was the scene in front of him, the scene in his head, the bowel movement pressing on his prostate as he was fighting to keep it in now or all three, his peak was coming fast.
Drool trailing sown his chin and shutting his eyes, he let the mental image of Jason face fucking him while he pooped himself fill his mind and had the biggest most intense orgasm of his life, shooting though the undies and shorts like they weren't even there and spraying his load on the wall, before slumping over, panting and eyes glazed over.
the last thing he recalled before conking back out was a loss of control, and a warm muddy feeling starting to spread on his butt.
Jason finished up with Annabeth and they cuddled, the smell reaching them both but oddly not bothering them as much as it should.
She had picked up Percy was watching from the looks Jason kept giving the door and then his dirty talk and smirked and she traced a finger on his pecs.
"You really are evil you know that~" She giggled.
"Oh please, if anything I just saved us about 2-3 days worth of effort in making him a diaper wearing cuck. trust me, he's never gonna be able to replace that feeling with anything less then watching mommy and daddy fuck." Jason said.
"heh, so you don't think he'll at least be able to hump his stuffies?" Annabeth asked.
"Oh, he'll hump them alright, but all he's gonna do is basically goon himself stupid. Add in maybe some hand jobs from you while your breast feeding him and that's what sex with you will become. him sucking on your titties and humping your hand." Jason laughed and pulled her in for a kiss. "Unless of course you don't even wanna grant him that?" Jason asked and smirked.
"Heh, Nah, I'm not heartless. what we had was fun and the least I can do is let him suck on my titties. though maybe I'll dump a condom full of 'daddy milk' over them first." She teased and they both laughed.
"Well, I suppose ONE of us should go and get him cleaned up and diapered." Jason said and gave Annabeth a hopeful look.
"Heh, nice try, diapers were YOUR idea, so enjoy wiping his poopie butt Mr.daddy dom." Annabeth said and rolled over, covering herself with a sheet and drifting off into a light nap.
"..Maybe it won't be so bad." Jason said softly and slid out of bed.
getting a pair of shorts on he moved out into the hall way and leaned in to check on Percy.
"Oh Jupiter! it's worse then I thought!" came his cry as Annabeth opened one eye and chuckled.
15 minutes later (though it felt like hours to poor Jason) and Percy had been cleaned up of all of his mess and taped up in a nice snug diaper.
the sea brat had woken up halfway though the clean up but hadn't offered one bit of resistance as Jason cleaned him, unless you counted him covering his face in shame when he got a stiffie as Jason wiped his winky.
Still he had been a good boy and lifted his hips when told to for Jason to slid the thick diaper under his butt and sucked on his thumb big time as Jason helped him to his feet.
"well, I guess it's save to say your not big enough for big boy undies huh buddy?" Jason asked and kissed Percy's hot cheek. "Wave bye bye to your undies." Jason added, tossing them in a waste basket and almost melting as after a second, Percy actually waved bye.
a pat on his padded rump and a point towards the living room had Percy toddling unsteadily on his feet, getting used to the bulk between his legs while Jason took the bag out of the trash can and tied it shut, unwilling to let the treasure so to speak linger.
As he came out of the bathroom he saw one of two adorable sights. the first was that Percy had plopped onto his butt and was trying to get back up. the second was that Annabeth was at the end of the hall, leaning down slightly and lightly slapping her thighs and coo'ing to Percy.
"Come on little guy, you can do it! walk for mommy!" She coo'ed."Stop sucking on your thumb and use both hands to get up and for balance~ that's it!"
Percy was clearly mortified, but had a silly grin on his face and pulled his drool soaked thumb out of his mouth and managed to get up on his feet and step by step made his way to her, arms held out like a baby learning to walk.
'Awww, babies first steps and we didn't record it.' Jason mused.
Percy huggled and nuzzled Annabeth who showed off her shocking power as he lifted him up and set him on her hip, taking over over to the couch and sitting down with him as Jason ran the bag with the smelly undies and shorts out to the trash.
Joining the other two on the couch, Jason and Annabeth were on either side of Percy and giving him lots of cuddles.
"So..I suppose you have a few questions for us." Jason started.
"MORE then a few.." Percy agreed.
Half a hour later and Percy was all caught up with what was going on, how this had been the end game from the start and how long he'd been cucked.
It hurt in a way but in the long run he could tell that despite him not being considered a man or even a big boy anymore, Annabeth still cared for him and well, he kinda liked the attention from Jason as well.
"Will I still get to have sex?" Percy asked as his last question.
"well, depends on what you count as sex. You'll get diaper rubs when being breast fed." Annabeth said.
"and your free to hump your stuffies, just not too much, I don't wanna have to replace the stuffing in them every day." Jason said then looked a little sheepish. "Thoughh uhhh..If you wanted to make daddy super duper happy and get a bunch of toys as a reward..I kinda like the idea of long term cock locks on little boys like you."
Percy whined at that and squirmed.
"H-How long?" he asked.
"ehehe well uh..at least a year at a time." Jason started and Percy's jaw dropped.
"Are you nuts?! I'd go crazy!! There's n-" Percy started to whine and have a fit, but was tugged suddenly by Annabeth.
while his attention had been on Jason she'd slipped off her top and now had Percy in her lap and one of her tits resting against his face, the hand on the back on his head and the other hand on his crotch.
"Shhh don't be so fussy and drink up and think about it." she coo'ed.
He tried to fight free for a few seconds but then while trying to yell actually tasted some milk coming out of Annabeth's perfect tits and calmed down, suckling away almost greedily now and thrusting his crotch into her hand over and over again as he drank up.
"if you end up creaming yourself while drinking titty milk I'm going to have to take it as a sign you wanna be locked up for a year buddy." Jason coo'ed, moving around behind Annabeth now and kissing the back of her neck. "Doesn't that sound fair 'mommy'?"
"Mmmhhhm~ totally 'daddy'."Annabeth moaned then turned her attention to Percy. "What do you think baby Percy? Does that sound fair and you want mommy to stop feeding you her boobies or do you wanna keep drinking. hold up one finger for stop, two for keep going."
To the surprise of no one two fingers were held up and she let Percy keep nursing, though she felt a need to toss out a warning.
"Percy sweetie, you might wanna slow down, titty milk is mean for real babies, not big ones and can react funny with your system." she warned.
"Like what?" Jason asked, looking a little concerned now.
"Oh, he'll have this go right though him and then you'll have your first stinky diaper to change." Annabeth said with a evil grin.
"..Uh Percy buddy maybe slow down." Jason said, sweat dropping a little.
It wasn't that he didn't wanna change a smelly diaper, more just he thought there would be more of a break in between said smelly diapers.
In any case Percy either didn't seem to hear mommy and daddy because he was lost in his own little world of diapie rubs and titty milk or he just didn't care, a ominous gurgling coming from his tummy.
"better get ready for anther present from your favorite little gift maker." Annabeth teased Jason as she increased the diaper rubbing which made Percy only drink harder.
Jason resigned himself to his fate and decided to help things along, reaching around Annabeth's arm and rubbing and pushing on Percy's tum tum.
the effect was almost instant and Annabeth pulled her hand away just as Percy started to spurt, the back of his diaper ballooning out with hot mush and hiting his happy spot on the way out and Percy was derpy faced and hand titty milk running down his chin as he diaper humped the air.
"Cumming! Baby Percy ish cumming while going POOPIE in his diapies!" he babbled out.
"heh, you sure are~"
-3 and half months later-
Adjusting to life as a family and living at the camp year round wasn't always easy for everyone, for one there had been a tricky business with calming down Percy's real dad when he found out what Percy had been turned into.
Thankfully Zeus and Hades had manged to calm him down and make him see how much happier their nephew was like this and sea daddy had let it go, though warned Jason and Annabeth that if they ever broke Percy's heart not even his brothers would be able to stop his rage before leaving.
(ironically this threat had made Annabeth have a slight accident and Percy had giggled for almost a hour about how mommy needed diapers too)
Switching all of his clothes into little style ones was anther challenge and then there was the fun of trying to figure out what he could keep from his old life and what he had to give away, though the little yard sale they had for his big boy stuff was helped with Percy in just his diapers and a pair of sandal's running around and gushing over different things and hyping up how kewl they were.
Today however Fall was well underway and Jason was sitting on the front porch with Annabeth sipping on some hot cider while Percy played in the yard.
He was dressed in light black sweat pants and white socks and a pair of light up heel velco strap sneaker, and wearing a light jacket colored blue to help with the chill in the air.
his thick diaper showed under the sweats but after so long in the diapers he only had trouble walking or running when they went up to three diapers just before bed.
Jason had just finished raking up all the leafs into piles before taking a seat on the porch and sighed a little as Percy apparently made it his mission to take out the 'evil leaf aliens from planet FART' via jumping into the piles.
"Remind me why I bothered to rake these when i knew he was coming out to play?" Jason asked, smirking slightly.
"heh, well if I had to take a guess I would suggest that your a glutton for punishment.. or you just wanted to watch him be a cute little dork." Annabeth said and took a sip, then placed a hand on her tummy. "So, I have a question for you."
"Oh?"Jason asked, his hand joining hers on her belly and feeling a little kick.
"How long do we wait to tell him he's gonna be a big brother?"
The end

UM HI??? WHY HAS IT TAKEN ME SO LONG TO WATCH MIDNIGHT MASS???? (good) ranting below the cut bc holy shit… *spoilers* do i need to even give a religion tw i mean…
so yall know i have oodles and oodles of religious trauma from my involvement w the church in high school so watching it has been a trip to say the least
also im obsessed with anything that mike flanagan has created the man rivals my obsession w david lynch SHIT
the hymns that they choose - phenomenal. i may not identify w the faith anymore BUT i love hymns and i was singin along like a mf fiend
but anyways imma do an episode by episode review bc im that neurotic
episode 1
i love it when creators have their fav actors/actresses, so seeing kate siegel, robert longstreet, annabeth gish, samantha sloyan, carla gugino, and henry thomas just really made me so happy! henry’s character design had him nearly unrecognizable and his accent too so whenever i realized i was like… u bastard ur amazing. he’s so talented! but i thought that this episode created a lovely setup about the show, with all the family and community dynamics. i heavily relate to riley’s dilemma about not going to church when he’s back home because of my estrangement from it all - and face it, my mom’s more of a bev than an annie (which makes the series a lot more… fun to watch because flanagan really hits the nail on the head when it comes to bev’s character). i’m hopping on the father paul is a hottie train because i have a thing for priests (hehe choo choo all aboard the trauma train!) but also that one sermon… wowza
episode 2
the homily that father paul gives… nearly converted me LMAO. NOT REALLY! but still i was like mans deserves an emmy for that. the whole crock pot luck scene had me in tears when pike died… like i haven’t finished it so i’ll let myself predict that it was bev bc she’s a big fat BITCH. continuing in the bev vain, riley’s exposé had me fuming with 1) taking money from the oil company and 2) using it for tithing like obviously she pocketed what was leftover from the community center. my parents give sO MUCH MONEY to the church like ??? i want an inheritance??? sorry im a bitch but its true lmao. but then his whole monologue about god and bad things happening and suffering had me bawling. my. eyes. out.
i used to be one of those people who believed that suffering was a good thing - i will reiterate that i was heavily involved with church activities in high school, staffing and planning retreats, giving talks, all that fun stuff (it’s fun looking back now because i see that it created a deep fear of intimacy in my heart hahahahahah). but hearing riley talk about it, and going on about how the townspeople especially suffer… woof that hurt. but the whole monologue was so well written, and so beautiful - i also appreciated how he has the whole view of the other side because he was born into and involved with the faith before leaving the island.
i think those kinds of views are one of the best perspectives because they really understand the church’s view and all. like with issues nowadays and with arguments with my parents, i can best them because i still somewhat know what i’m talking about. but watching other shows that explore catholicism just aren’t done right but this one… takes the mf cake. i can also really appreciate the imagery of the island being the faith and leaving it allows perspectives to change because it was what happened to me when i left my hometown to go to college. love how relatable it is.
episode 3
leeza’s miracle: had me shaking to my core, honest. my theory that i’m screaming into the void is that there’s some kinda blood in the chalice that heals her and is what’s healing everyone else. but moving on, whenever they go to sarah’s office and wade says something along the lines of “why can’t we just label it a miracle and be done with it” when sarah suggests testing that would actually benefit other people in leeza’s situation, it just blew my mind. and bev gatekeeping people from father paul (i guess it was alright since he was violently ill)… also for those of yall who dont know, priests aren’t supposed to be in a parish for more than like a few years so how the monsignor was there for so long… who knows. but the whole purpose is that the parish doesn’t get attached to the priests, which in a lot of cases happen and people move parishes after they leave, yadda yadda… but with the miracle and gatekeeping, it just goes to show you how attached they already are.
i simply adore how father paul’s confession telling of what happened to pruitt went - especially with the story of saul and the images of the stations of the cross… like christ it was amazing. and of course, bev has to be teaching about god in the public school. the whole conversation made my skin itch because it was like listening to my mom talk LMAO but i love hassan’s character and his view on it, and especially how the show explores his ostracization from the community because of his muslim identity. it made me sad to see how bev trampled on him and erin but i was like this is the christian’s world and we are sadly living in it lmao.
and HOLY SHIT LEEZA’S CONFRONTATION WITH JOE. in tears. in fucking tears. now i was not shot and paralyzed by a man but i was sure traumatized by him and when i tell yall that every word she said i have uttered to him. how my faith used to enable me to be beaten down by him i will never begin to comprehend (nor do i want to) but this scene just said it all and more.
riley and joe’s conversation really hit me so hard. no matter what happens, the town’s opinions isn’t going to change of them, and they know that. but when joe asks, “does it ever get any different for people like us?” i was bawling crying. because that’s how i feel coming home. all the people i used to know are still involved in the same old activities in the same old circles, and then there’s me. people know that i don’t go to church anymore; i mean i’m not crazy but i still feel like im ostracized in the place that i grew up in. i’m sure that my mom’s asking all her friends to pray for me to come back to the church and when i tell you that makes a person feel like garbage… when they all look at you with that pitying smile. like i know how it felt and i don’t want to go back there you can’t blame me.
the conversation between hassan and ali also had me emotionally deceased. ali made a great point saying that he didn’t choose to be muslim, i didn’t choose to be catholic; so wanting to experiment is valid. i love how hassan’s character is explored here, i was just disappointed in how deep. but his love for his wife *chefs kiss* im in love with him.
“if god really worked that way… if he decided that he was gonna heal some and not others”
tears… so many tears… the wounds of my grief dealing with my uncle really opened up and i was losing my mind about it because his death really began my distancing from the church and all. like he was so influential in my town and such and i started to think of all the deaths of people i knew recently… it all just hit at once man. it was a beautiful monologue and one that really hit close to home (too close if you ask me)
but yall would not believe my frustration when fr paul “died” i was screaming at the tv HES ASPIRATING TURN HIM ON HIS SIDE GODDAMNIT like not that it wouldve changed anything but if yall ever see someone throwing up on their back… for gods sake turn them on their side LMAO but i was like tf why did he die oh nvm we gucci continue on.
the religious parallels i literally cannot get enough on. flanagan deserves the gluck gluck of a lifetime for that.
episode 4
okay starting typing while watching now
ERINS BABY IS GONE?????? the fuck?? i dont remember if she drank the wine and i cant imagine she did but if she did then why did it make the baby disappear?
but her and riley’s prayer is so simple and so beautiful. and i love how they start the our father, the prayer that riley started after his accident but never finished.
riley’s monologue about death reminded me of how much im afraid to die lmao thats i think why i was so attached to religion was because it offered a comfort as to what occurred after death.
they finna be battling over this blood lmao love that turn and the significance of greed. kinda reminds me of how i compare my relationship with religion to an addiction heheh
NOT THE SLIPUP WITH JOE’S SISTER LMAOOO poor fr paul all mixed up w his old decrepit mind
ah yes monsignor’s hat and coat… oh yeah… its all comin together
SHIT ARE THEY ABT TO KILL OFF THE MAIN MF CHARACTER??? or even worse, make him into a pious freak? all will be revealed in the next epi
will i ever complete my wips…
episode 5
i was like i started recognizing henry thomas bc i was like are the characters getting younger - yes mildred is fuckin BANGIN’ get it girl
ayo FATHER PAUL SAYING THAT THE MILITARY SHOULDNT BE ASSOCIATED WITH A COUNTRY???????????? mans is speaking the language of my coochie
im hoping that bev grows an independent conscience but i know she wont
i LOVE how they wrote in the priest’s dramatic walk off after dropping a bomb ass homily it was so perfect
okay RILEY?????? im scared shits about to hit the fan - or theyre about to fuck, or hes about to lure her to the angel… or is he keeping her from it
i love how this is devolved to my insane neuron firings
just the little sprinkles of the bible, the whole “you know who i am” and the doubting thomas stuff i love it.
the series itself has kinda strayed from the original and old traditional beauty of church but im always invested in a mystery that flanagan produces
i just love that it has spiraled into putting things in the place of a proverbial god, i mean all things can become a “god” in their lives but this especially, and putting it under the guise of the christian god; so interesting. im not gonna read an article of an interview w flanagan that i found bc i dont wanna spoil it but im so intrigued as to what drove him to make this
also how people are only accepted into the flock once again when they have some spectacular miracle so to speak. like bev wouldve never looked at riley if he hadnt been changed
is riley gonna nom nom on erin orrrr…
their relationship >>>
WAIT HIS DREAM oh my god hes gonna wait for the sunrise. and hes gonna have his dream and hes gonna die
tara beth.

Ψ — 𝐩𝐮𝐬𝐡 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐤; (percy jackson x reader)
Tumblr media
~ 2021 start of the year event ~
@jorjawrites requested: Hi! Your 2021 event seems like a really interesting idea! Can i request number 13 with Percy Jackson? Im so excited to see what it is☺️
song: lilianna wilde - grind me down (jawster remix) | 𝄞
summary: A delicious smell of lotus flowers and unbridled debauchery came to your senses each time the bass pounded from the speakers... and your friends had manifestly noticed it too. “We’re never leaving this place, right?” “Never.”
author notes: I’m sorry this is really not as good as I wanted ughhh I hope you still like this!
word count: 1.5k words
warnings: we are collectively assuming Percy & everyone else are 18+ in this, despite it making no sense in the context of Camp Half-Blood, because the song is SAUCY and drugging kids is NOT my kink. pardon my approximative recollection of TLT’s events. + this is based on the lotus casino episode so gambling, and ... magical drugs?
Tumblr media
“𝐒𝐎... 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐀𝐑𝐄 we doing tonight?”
“Is sleeping not enough for you? Why do we need a purpose?”
“Shut up, Seaweed Brain.”
“I don’t know. We could ask around, look for some clues? Maybe someone knows something.”
“Oh, great. Now, if I were a lightning thief on the run hiding Zeus’ magical lightning bolt after stealing it from the literal Olympus, where would I keep it? Yeah, this random Las Vegas casino full of mortals seems like a great place.”
“You don’t sound like someone who’ll get blasted by Zeus in a week if they don’t retrieve this ancient and untraceable artifact, Percy.”
“Thank you, it’s all in the confidence.”
“Stop bickering, you two,” you interrupted, standing between your two friends as you followed the bellboy deeper into the hotel lobby. “We’ll get a good night’s sleep, and...”
Your words halted, just like your steps on the rich, burgundy velvet floor, just as the young hotel employee pushed open the large, white mahogany doors before the four of you. Your eyes widened of their own accord. You were certain that you heard Grover gasp on your right. Even Percy and Annabeth’s heads snapped toward the immense, domed room in front of you. Game machines and roulette and poker tables stretched as far as you could see underneath purple-colored neons. On each side of the hall, dozens of guests gathered at the tables, abandoning years’ worth of savings to the hands of a blackjack game, gritting their teeth in unparalleled concentration at the arcades, all while sipping colorful cocktails given out by smiling waiters scattered among the crowd.
“I hope you find the diversions to your liking,” the bellboy simpered with a smile.
The grin that crept on your lips was unbeatable. A delicious smell of lotus flowers and unbridled debauchery came to your senses each time the bass pounded from the speakers... and your friends had manifestly noticed it too.
“We’re never leaving this place, right?”
“Never.”
Tumblr media
And so you never left.
It was never about never to you, at least. Time simply ceased to matter, as though the vibrant colors and dulcet smells had annihilated all concept of hurry and dread. All that mattered then to you was to see if Grover could hit the jackpot.
“Come on, you stupid thing,” he hissed through gritted teeth, giving the slot machine a few irritated taps. “I just want three cherries. How hard can it be?”
Surely enough, the colored symbols turned and turned and turned... until they settled on two cherries and a palm tree.
“Of course.”
You had kept track of his number of attempts, initially... but couldn't remember when you had lost count. Nor how many lotus-shaped petit fours you'd eaten by that time, for that matter.
“It’s alright,” you reassured him with a pat on the shoulder. “It’s not like you’ll run out of money anytime soon.”
How nice of the Lotus Hotel and Casino to give you unlimited access to the vastest sums of money you’d ever seen to spend on their games... and what a revolutionary business tactic, you might have added had you been a little more alert.
But you weren’t, and merely walked away from Grover with a soft and somewhat shaky smile.
“Can I treat you to another flower?”
She had emerged from nowhere in an instant, carrying a tray of pink and white delicacies and a few of those bubbling cocktails you had been eyeing all night. What an exuberantly fast service, and how keen were they on making sure every guest was content and fed at all times, you would have thought had you been more attentive.
But you weren’t, so with a radiant grin, you grabbed one more flower and savored the sugar and its liquid aftertaste on your tongue. The corners of your vision blurred ever so slightly with each step you took, somehow getting more purple... but you paid them no mind when you saw Percy at a roulette table off to the side of the main hall.
“Any luck so far?” you asked as you walked up to him, steadying yourself on his chair, your hand a little too close to his shoulder. Clearly, the heat and moistness of the packed room were getting to your head...
“Luck? Y/N, this is sheer skill.”
“It’s roulette, Percy.”
He clicked his tongue, and a smile made its way onto your face as your heartbeat sped up. Of course, Percy and his infamous detachedness and snark, exactly the ones that attracted you so much despite your better judgment...
“Details, Y/N, details. What do you think? Red or black?”
He lifted expectant eyes at you. Inexorably, you leaned forward.
“All on fourteen.”
Percy raised an eyebrow and a corner of his mouth.
“Really?”
“Trust me.”
He did, without question. Appraising you lengthily for one more instant, he slid all his chips to the croupier, before resting his hand right next to yours on the table, almost to appease himself. Your breath hitched in your throat, head pounding from the music and the swirling spirals in the corners of your vision, as you eyed the wheel spin and spin and spin... until the ball landed on a red square. 14.
“There you go! That’s what I’m talking about!”
In a deafeningly triumphant motion, Percy grabbed his winnings from the table and leaped to his feet, right by your side. You could hardly contain your laughter then; but you fully burst when he shot you the most radiant smile you’d ever seen on his face, arms full of lotus-stamped chips and pure, unbridled adoration in his eyes. There was the childish enthusiasm you loved so much about him, and it was entirely thanks to you; your heart soared at the thought.
“Did you get a prophecy or something?”
“Just a hunch,” you mischievously retorted, your grin mirroring his.
You both had mindlessly stepped away from the rest of the hotel guests, who were all too absorbed to even notice the pair of teens and their outrageous amount of money. Beneath the secludedness of a marble arcade, cloaked in pink and purple lights, you both counted your blessings... each your own; Percy the chips between his fingers, and you the colorful hues in his sea-green eyes.
“So, what do you want?”
“What?”
“You technically won this money, so it’s technically yours. Or at least half of it. I’m not going to keep it all anyway. I want to give you a little gift.”
“It’s not a gift if it’s paid with my money.”
“Don’t start it! One Annabeth is more than enough!” he laughed, and your chest whirred to the same vibration.
“I don’t want anything, Percy. I’m happy with what I already have.”
Despite the dizziness that still shook your head, despite the bright, blazing gashes spanning your vision like pulsing veins, despite the sounds and music coming to your ears in stroboscopic and unequal waves, you felt more peaceful than you had for most of the quest. Percy’s gaze was surprisingly tender on yours, as though he discovered you for the first time right then and there, far from the hustle and bustle of monsters and Camp and cities... only his eyes on yours and your hands imperceptibly brushing together, closer and closer.
“It’ll be a surprise then.”
“I didn’t think you were the type to give surprises. I’m not even sure you can keep a secret.”
“Oh, excuse you, I’m an excellent secret-keeper.”
Closer and closer...
“I bet that I can make you spill all your secrets.”
“Bet all you want, I’ll be tight as a clam.”
“Really? Because I think I can guess one already.”
Closer and closer... his breath fanning over your mouth, your hand scraping the collar of his shirt...
“Percy! Y/N!”
A thundercloud passed between you two, killing the lights in a second. You jumped back as though struck by lightning, cheeks flaming hot and eyes elusive. Annabeth, striding towards you with purpose, alarm, and just as little disequilibrium as you would have expected from her, was enough distraction to ignore Percy’s erratic breathing by your ear.
“Percy, Y/N, gods above, why’d you run off like that? We need to leave. This is bad.”
The blond girl grabbed you both by the sleeves and dragged you into the light and agitation; and despite the newly growing nausea that rumbled in the pit of your stomach, some part of you was grateful for her decidedness, enough to hide your fuming cheeks.
Of course, you should have known better than to push your luck too far with the gods watching - and most probably laughing at your heartened hopes.

angst number 5 for percabeth?
“What’s the point?”
Dear anon, I am sorry that I got a but carried away. Just a teeny bit.
Read on ao3.
Au in which Percy killed the Goddess of Misery, back in Tartarus.
tw: drowning, implied abuse, mental health issues, mild blood
Percy woke up drowning.
In the back of his mind, he knew that that was not possible. In the back of his mind, he could hear the running water. Water from the shower faucet.
He’s floating, maybe. In the tub.
But that’s not what was going through his mind at the moment. All he felt was breathlessness. And water. But it wasn’t the good kind. This water, cold and dark, did not want him.
No, it wanted to destroy him.
Like Misery.
He’d killed that goddess, once upon a time. Made her choke on her tears, turned her blood to dust.
The running water sounded like her, that wretched being. She was laughing at him.
He forgot why and where he was in the first place. That laugh was the only thing that was certain at the moment. And the water—with its icy breath—filled up his mouth and lungs.
Where was he in his dreams?
Hopefully not here.
His arms reached out, searching for something—anything—that could pull him out of this hell. They could’ve been nonexistent, for all the help they managed to achieve. He felt as if his own body couldn’t even move an inch. He wanted someone to save him.
Maybe you don’t deserve to be saved.
.
.
The memory gushed around Percy, resurfacing from the deepest parts of his mind—well, to be honest, it had always been there, gnawing at him.
Tartarus always came back to haunt him, one way or another.
He was there, right next to the inky abyss, surrounded on all sides by the liquid poison and its fumes. It crawled slowly but surely toward him like liquid honey. He backed away but knew it was no use. He’d die one way or another.
Annabeth screamed at Akhlys, trying to get the goddess’ attention away from him. She had the likeness of one of the corpses that Nico liked to sprout from the ground, not at all looking like that beautiful and vibrant girl he had once known.
Percy lifted his head to look at Misery, the mastermind behind it all. She grinned at him, flashing her golden fangs. Her cheeks were rivers of blood, like the blood he tasted in his mouth as he bit his tongue so he wouldn’t cry out from the sudden pain.
He glared at the poison, its small lakes pooling around him.
Lakes.
Liquid.
Maybe he was mad. But maybe he didn’t have to die right now. The ringing in his ears grew louder; Annabeth’s shouts sounded further away. But he could stop this, he had to try.
He concentrated, feeling the familiar tug in his gut. The poison paused in its tracks.
“What is this?” Ackhlyss’ voice bordered on manic.
“Poison,” Percy rasped, standing up with shaking legs. His motive, however, didn’t falter. “That’s your specialty, right?”
He watched as the toxic liquid retreated farther from him and toward Akhlyss’ feet as if she were a magnet and the poison was metal. It sizzled against her toes, and she jumped, shrieking. She swiped at it, but more came.
“You dare go against me, boy?” But as she said it, tears flooded her eyes; her knees buckled. After many futile attempts, she screeched, “Stop this!”
But he was just getting started.
Her control over her own creation was over, dominated by someone else.
The goddess shrunk into herself, tears flowing like rivers down her cheeks.
Oh, good. More water.
He had the urge to laugh. How foolish of her.
Percy concentrated, searching deeper and deeper into the root of his powers. Soon enough, he had Akhlyss choking on her own tears; it engulfed her mouth and eyes. She clutched her throat, poison burning her legs as it climbed into her as well.
He was dimly aware of Annabeth calling to him—begging, but she didn’t understand this feeling that Percy felt. This glass-shattering sensation against his stomach. How good it felt, to finally control what could never be controlled.
So he didn’t listen. Instead, he clenched his fists and kept it up. See how much misery Misery could take.
He pushed further into him, and Akhlyss’ blood boiled.
Minutes or hours or days passed before her wailing sounds and anguished cries stopped for good. The poison finally encased her entire body, and she lay on the ground, motionless. In the blink of an eye, her remains were turned to dust.
It is done.
“Percy?”
Annabeth walked up to him, taking her time. The look on her face was enough for him to stagger, clutching his stomach.
“Percy?” she whispered, now closer to him.
His name lingered in his mind, a chanting that never seemed to stop. But through the agony in his gut and Annabeth’s muffled sobs into his shirt, her expression afterwards was what haunted him most.
It is done.
.
.
Something broke inside him that day, he knew. Just like right now, when his powers and his heritage served him no purpose.
It was as if he were trapped in an eternal void. His hands, finally able to do something, clawed at his throat, willing his lungs to work.
Why can’t I breathe?
Why can’t I breathe .
He was the hero, the son of Poseidon; this wasn’t supposed to be happening.
What an ironic way to die , don’t you think?
The laughter kept invading his thoughts, ringing across his brain just as horribly as the water.
He gasped out, scouring for any oxygen he could steal.
Water.
Water in my lungs.
Had he always been drowning? Or was this a nightmare?
Perhaps he should just give up. Perhaps the water wouldn’t feel so cold if that were to happen.
But if he listened closely to the chaos, he could make out a muffled scream. Someone crying out, pronouncing his name.
Arms grabbed him by the shoulders, and suddenly he’s sitting up, leaning into someone else. Hands grasped his face, soft and tender. Sobs echoed across the room. His eyes were shut tight, but he’s sure that he’s in some kind of room.
Right, the bathroom.
The laughter stopped.
He tried to breathe again, but he found that he still couldn’t, the door of his lungs yet to unlock. Panic seized into him once more. He tried to open his eyes, but they felt like lead weights.
Annabeth. He realized now, that she’d been the one to pull him out. She was here, shaking him, crying, letting the water pour down the drain.
If I could only breathe.
He faintly registered the way she gently pushed him down, making him lie on the cool tub, now free of the water. He felt pressure on his chest. Her hands, compressing and releasing.
And then, maybe, he could breathe again. His world was still tinted in balck around the edges, though.
.
.
Annabeth had her arms wrapped around him, both of them lying on their sides in the comfort of his bed. She protected his Achilles’ spot, a habit she never could break. As much as her doing this filled Percy with ease and calmness, he knew the truth: she couldn’t protect him. Not really. His true war was with himself.
Her warmth didn’t seem to suffice, either. Or the snug pajamas that she had given him to wear.
He could still remember the bathtub’s chill, after all. And Tartarus.
Annabeth snuggled closer to him. He felt her breathing against his neck, real and alive. She threaded her fingers through his and kissed the nape of his neck.
“I’m sorry,” she said, voice breaking. “I’m sorry I didn’t come sooner. That I didn’t realize—”
“S’not your fault. I just...” A lump formed in his throat. He swallowed it down. “I don’t know why. Why was I fucking drowning, ‘Beth? Why?”
His eyes bored into the dusty bookshelf in his room, but soon his sight blurred. A tear fell down his cheek and into his mouth. It tasted like the sea. The sea that betrayed him.
“Maybe, maybe you’re just scared.”
“Like you were of me?” He shut his eyes tight. “When I killed her?”
Her curls tickled his face as she shook her head.
“No,” she whispered. “I could never be scared of you.”
“But you were. I know you, Annabeth. And I know you’re scared, even now. And the worst thing? You’re scared of me.”
“No.” Her tone took a hard edge. “I’m not scared of you. Gods you’re the person I love most in this fucked up world. Why would I be scared of you?” Her hand unclasped from his, moving it to his damp hair, combing through the dark curls. “No, I’m scared of what you could do to yourself.
“Especially when Sally’s not here, and we’re alone and I, I assume you’re fine. But I’m not even fine, so it makes no fucking sense that I didn’t try to see what was wrong earlier, and...and…” She broke down into sobs, face smothered into the crook of his neck as he lay there, unmoving. His eyelids were closed, but tears escaped them anyway.
She pressed her damp nose against his skin and took a shaky breath.
“I never…” She lifted her face and swept back some of the hair that stuck to his forehead.
He opened his eyes, and finally looked at her, craning his neck to do so. Her cheeks glistened with tears and her hair was a tangled mess, but he took in her image, gazing at her with new vision.
It hit him—that this girl would forever be his anchor, his haven. This complicated, sweet and amazing girl, with eyes akin to the storm inside him. That she was protecting him. That she wanted him to heal. She reclined on her elbows, softly caressing his exposed cheek with her thumb. Then, she leaned down and kissed his tears away.
“I never—and I thought you were going to die,” she said in a small voice. “...I never knew how powerful you could be.”
He stiffened under her touch.
“What’s the point, anyway? It’s not like my powers work anymore.”
He didn’t dare admit what he yearned to say, that he deserved every last breath of pain. That Gabe, that sorry excuse of a stepfather, had been right. That Percy would amount to nothing, and in the end, he’d end up just like that horrible man. He already felt it inside of him, settling comfortably as if reuniting with an old friend.
“But they do work, Perce.”
“How would you know?” His tone sounded accusatory, but Annabeth didn’t seem to mind. “I was drowning, just like in that prophecy. In Alaska.”
“I know you still have them, because I feel it in you. And now you’re letting it consume you instead of controlling it. What happened down there...you can’t change what you did.”
He exhaled, “I wish I was sorry.”
She didn’t respond, only settled back into him.
After a few minutes of staring at the heaps of comics and the little night light, she murmured, “You’ll be alright. We can work through this. Together. I know we can.”
He could only wish he felt the same way.
Nearing to the edge of dreams in his sleep, he felt the water once again. At first, he realized that it was the same way as in the bathtub. Darkness and cold. Jagged ice. That horrible sensation of panic and helplessness.
Images flashed through the currents. Teeth and golden eyes and blood and choking. Voices whispered to him.
Let go.
What is life, anyway?
It’s useless. That’s what life was.
The water wouldn’t let him breath, anyway, so he sunk into the depths. He was used to this. It didn’t matter.
As he drifted away, a voice came to his mind, so startling and out of place in the coldness that it felt like someone had suddenly spoken right into his ear.
Remember your lifeline, dummy.
Annabeth had said that, hadn’t she? He wasn’t so sure; he couldn’t remember much about anything.
What was it?
Anchor.
Something pulled him upright. It was a tug, coming from the small of his back. And then the darkness didn’t seem as imposing. The whispers and wailing stopped. A smile came to his mind. A face hallowed in a crown of golden hair. She was by the sea, splashing salty water with foam and laughing.
Anchor.
No, Annabeth wouldn’t want this for him; he could fight to live. He could get better. The water turned blue and warm, like drinking a mug of hot cocoa. He gasped, letting his tired lungs have what they wanted from the start.
She was right, gods, was she always right. Hiis powers still worked. And clearing his mind, he remembered the breathing methods they’d practiced, him and Annabeth.
One in, two out, three in, four out.
Up on the surface, the sun gleamed, sending golden ripples all around.
A hand appeared from the outside, cutting into the water. There was a canoe; he could see the dark silhouette. This time, his limbs moved with ease.
One in, two out, three in, four out.
The currents guided him up, up into the world. When he drew nearer to the person on the other side, he looked up, only to be blinded by the sun. But movement from above blocked the light like an eclipse.
Annabeth.
Always Annabeth.
She beamed, seemingly annoyed and amused at the same time, her yankees cap tucked over her hair. Her arm extended toward him, and she laughed. The echoes rippled even in the water.
“Hold on, Seaweed Brain. You’re not getting away from me that easily.”
He felt it now. It wasn’t the currents moving him toward the sound of her voice, but a cord. A single golden thread.
“Come on. Take my hand.”
And so he did.

Scars - Chapter 4
-- Trigger Warning: Mentions of self-harm and bad parenting. Read at your own risk.
Chapter 4 - End It Cleanly Mclean
Piper flopped onto her immaculately made bed after her morning run with her mother, rumpling up the covers a little bit and enjoying the brief moments of silence before-
“Models do not flop onto their beds, daughter, they sit on the edge daintily.” A saccharine sweet voice lilted from outside Piper’s bedroom.
Piper stifled her groan and got up quietly, remaking her bed and smoothing her hands over the glossy silk sheets. She made sure not to miss a spot, because her mother, the amazing model Aphrodite Mclean, was no doubt watching her every move from the doorway.
“I’m sorry, mother, “ Piper said quietly, looking down at her feet that her mother commented were “too big” to be from a woman, “I won’t do it again.”
She looked up and locked eyes with her mother, the most beautiful, and cruelest, person Piper had ever met. That one thought of rebelliousness died away, and Piper forcefully looked back down respectfully at her feet.
Aphrodite had silky black hair that made its way down her back in ringlets, with only the most expensive products used on her luscious locks. With chocolate brown eyes like those of a feline. She was thin as a toothpick, with a curvy, full body which attracted a lot of men, and sometimes even women. Aphrodite’s skin was fair and spotless, her nails and clothes always complimenting each other and the rest of her. Piper really wished she hadn’t inherited her mother's insane beauty.
Her mother did another once over of Piper’s bedroom, trying to find something to critique. Not finding any flaws, she pursed her lips, flipped her hair over her shoulder and promptly left the room, shutting the door behind her.
Piper let out a breath she didn’t know she was even holding, and it made her plop back down onto her bed and bury her head in her hands.
Why couldn’t I have just gone with Dad?
~~~~~~~~~~
Tristan Mclean met Aphrodite Ouranos at a theatre gathering. He was immediately struck by her beauty and charm, and she seemed to like him just as much. They started going out after a week, and dated for a couple months before getting married.
After they had Piper, Tristan and Aphrodite made it big, Tristan with a high-paying acting career which required him to move around a lot, and Aphrodite with a modeling job. Both of the jobs needed a lot of traveling, but someone needed to stay and take care of Piper, the beautiful baby who inherited her mother’s beauty and her father’s smile and hair.
So while Tristan went on world tours and visited iconic cities and landmarks, Aphrodite would stay at home and take care of Piper. Needless to say, she hated the job, and wanted to dump her daughter in an orphanage to be taken care of by someone else, but then an idea struck her.
If she could raise Piper to be exactly like her, independent and flawless, it would help Aphrodite’s modeling and parenting. She was wrong of course, but she obviously didn’t think that. The result of her carelessness was a five year old running around a large empty estate, eating whatever she wanted and doing whatever she pleased.
There were many, many times when Piper had been left alone for long periods of time, and she did learn to be independent, but vowed to never become like her mother. Once Piper hit her middle school years, Aphrodite realized just how beautiful her daughter was, even more so, than Aphrodite herself. That was a problem.
So she shipped Piper off to a ladies academy for middle schoolers, and when Piper came back the summer before her first year at high school, she was… exactly the same. No manners had been changed, no clothing choice had been improved, nothing.
That’s when Aphrodite took the manner into her own manicured fingers. She critiqued Piper on anything and everything she did, even if it was the slightest misstep or a small snort that escaped her mouth. At the start, Piper rebelled against her, but Aphrodite oppressed her so much that Piper gave in and listened to her mother's every whim, and stayed quiet through every admonishment.
That was what made Piper start cutting.
It was small at first, just a little glance at a knife or razor and wondering how it would feel against her skin. Then, light traces with the sharp blades on her wrist, seeing how light she could go to draw blood. What pushed past her tipping point was when Piper was idly drawing the knife across her arm, not enough to see blood, but enough to feel a small sting, and her mother walked into the bathroom to see what was taking her so long.
She took one cold look at the blade, and the marks on Piper’s arm and left the bathroom. Piper stared after her, but when she came back, it wasn’t with a hug, or words of help to drag Piper out of the world of a depression.
It was a razor. A pink razor with a bejeweled hilt.
Aphrodite held it out to Piper and said only two words: “Use that.”
Since that day, Piper seemed to enjoy when her mother would leave her alone to do her modeling, because Piper had the day to cut herself happy.
~~~~~~~~~~
Now don’t get her wrong. Piper wasn’t suicidal for two reasons. The first was her father and her friends. She tried to resent her father for leaving her alone with her monster of a mother, but he was too kind for her to hate him, and the couple days a year he came and stayed with them were the best. And her friends, well, they were the only people who kept her sane while she was here. Annabeth, Reyna, Thalia, Leo. They were the best friends anybody could ask for, and they supported her whenever she felt sad. They didn’t know about the cutting.
The second was that she was too cowardly to try to take her life. Afraid of hurting her friends. Afraid that it would all be for nothing.
So she didn’t do anything farther than cutting.
Piper realized that thinking about the past and sitting doing nothing but dawdling was really unproductive. She took out her phone and went to check if there were any new messages, and she saw a text from Thalia. So she replied.
(AN: Thalia, Piper)
Today - 11:34 AM
hey Pipes
hey Thals
wassup
Oh nothing, just trying to get away from my tyrannical mother. Normal day.
nothing much, you?
i’m here with my brother at one of my dad’s interview things
Brother?
Piper couldn’t remember Thalia mentioning anything about siblings before. And she did the normal thing and asked Thalia about it.
you have a brother?
It was a long time before Thalia responded, but when she did, Piper snatched up the phone to see her response.
yeah
Piper felt betrayed, she thought they told each other everything. But then again, she had no room to talk.
excuse me, but how come you’ve never told me about him?
never came up
fine, you win, for now. show me a pic?
Thalia sent a picture of a blond-haired boy with the bluest eyes Piper had ever seen. The thing was, she knew this blond-haired boy.
It was Jason Grace, the only person that even came close to Annabeth’s record setting grades. Once he had beaten her by a percent on a English test, and Annabeth was fuming for days, while Piper and the rest of their friends snickered at her back. But Piper never connected the dots, like how he and Thalia had the same last name.
He was also in her math class during Freshman year, and he sat two seats to her right. Piper could remember clearly some moments of that class.
Like when the teacher would ask the class a question, and Jason’s hand would be the only one up so she called on him. He would bite his lower lip and read out the answer in a confident but quiet voice, like he didn’t want anyone to notice him. Then, once Jason got the question right, his posture would straighten, in a proud way. His eyes would light up like a cloudless day sky and his lips would stretch into a smile, making the scar on his upper lip appear more prominently. Jason would push the glasses up the bridge of his nose, and sit back in his chair, satisfied.
One second. Two.
What. Was. That. Piper shook her head and felt her cheeks become hot. She barely knew Jason, yet she had been paying so much more attention to him than she thought she was. Idly, she wondered if his glasses and the tattoo of glasses she had on her shoulder were related in any way.
Suddenly dizzy, she remembered that Thalia was waiting for an answer. With her thoughts off somewhere else, she mindlessly typed a response to Thalia’s question. The good news, it was the truth. The bad news, Thalia would never let her live this down.
After she felt her head clear, she brought her attention back to the conversation and her eyes widened.
oh, that cute boy you sit with at lunch sometimes? He’s really good looking.
“Crap!” Piper yelled, for once not even afraid that her mother will come in and lecture her about the dangers of swearing.
She could just imagine Thalia cackling her witchy laugh wherever she was. Piper started to type in a message to tell Thalia to please, please not tell her brother about that message when a new message popped up at the top.
Piper, honey, I am leaving for my photoshoot now. Please keep the house clean... and no guests. -Mother >:(
Perfect, her mother is gone, now she can go through with that brunch that she planned with her friends. Then she remembered Thalia. Stupid ADHD, hopping from one topic to the other.
It was too late though, because Thalia has already replied.
yes, he is, and he’s also here looking at our conversation.
Piper felt herself blush scarlet red, and she bet anyone could see it, even on her darker complexion. Now she was in for it, she would never be able to face Thalia or Jason ever again. And once Thalia told the rest of their friends…
Piper stood up and started getting ready for the brunch with her friends she planned. Both mentally and physically. Gods, Leo was going to have such a field day when he found out about this.
Well, the routine was only just starting. ____________________________________________________________

G and Z? :))
hey there!!! :D
G. “do you remember your first OTP, and who was it?” hmm that’s a good question, i’m sure that i had some ships back when i used to read a ton of books in like, elementary school LMAO. honestly it was probably percy and annabeth from percy jackson, i was big on that series in 6th grade all those years ago :) as for borderlands, my first OTP was rhys and vaughn because i played tales first, and they still are my favorite 🥰
Z. “just ramble about something fan-related, go go go!” okay!! i’ve rambled about this more times than i can even count, but on the topic of rhys and vaughn i am STILL fuming about them not being together in bl3!!! seriously!!! it’s old news that it makes me so annoyed, but they are literally SOULMATES MAN. even if you don’t see them romantically, they are platonic SOULMATES just straight up!!! they’ve been together since college, they know each other like the back of their hands and NEVER under ANY CIRCUMSTANCE would they just abandon each other for 5-7 YEARS???? gearbox doesn’t give a reason in the game because they don’t HAVE one, they just fundamentally misunderstood rhys and vaughn’s relationship and it hurts so much to see. vaughn literally says to rhys in tales “listen... i’m not gonna get left out on the curb again, am i?” and rhys says “never, bro. never again.” SO WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT GEARBOX???? god it makes me so upset. vaughn is so alone and he loves rhys more than anything, and rhys would never just leave him behind. just- 😔
