Baby, Doesn't It Feel So Familiar? - Christian Cage (AEW)

Pairing: Christian Cage x Female! Reader

Summary: Y/N is a friend of Jurassic Express, she doesn't like what Christian had did to Jungle Boy. She decides to confront Christian backstage herself, until he does the unexpected.

Word Count: 1,237

Large, mesmerizing footsteps were heard from three doors down. The 6’1 Canadian man was walking with purpose down the arena halls with hands shoved in his front jacket pockets. The lights had shone on him every time he had entered the room, where he owned the ground he was walking on underneath his feet.

Jack had appeared to be backstage with his very close friend, Luchasaurus. An alarming sound made them turn their heads like deers in headlights, Christian was up to no good after he had unexpectedly turned his back on Jack. He couldn’t be trusted.

He snatched a wooden chair where it was sitting in front of an empty table with a jet black cloth on top of it, throwing it across the hall effortlessly like it was nothing. Christian Cage was pissed and confused because Jack Perry cost him a match in winning a championship of his own.

‘’What is his problem?’’ Luchasaurus asked, watching the chaos go down as Jack stood back, feeling his guts in his stomach tie in a knot.

‘’I can’t be seen out here by him.’’ He replied. Seconds before darting off into his locker room, he thought about what his own mentor had done to him a week ago on Dynamite.

‘’He just can’t be trusted’’ was spinning inside of his head.

Jack locked the door to his locker room, quickly acting upon grabbing a chair to prop it underneath the wooden door handle.

‘’Jack, open up! It’s me, Y/N!’’ a female voice spoke alarmingly from the other side of the door. Y/N was a close friend of Jurassic Express, Luchasaurus and he would do anything for her, as long as she was safe from the man Christian Cage.

A voice erupted over her, it sounded like Christian’s voice. Inaudible hollering was heard, he couldn’t watch his best friend Y/N get hurt like he did.

Jack removed the chair underneath the door handle, swinging the door open.

‘’Y/N!’’ he yelled, rushing out of the locker room, finding Christian speeding off in his car with Y/N.

Jack fell to his knees, with stinging tears streaming down his face.

What if Christian is going to do something bad to her?

All these what if’s swarmed through Jack’s head like swarms of bees.

A call came through his phone, an unknown number was displayed on his phone screen, he answered it without hesitation.

‘’H-Hello?’’ He stuttered.

‘’You shouldn’t have never let your friend Y/N walk alone in the arena by herself, you should know better than that, Jungle Boy.’’ Christian. That son of a bitch.

‘’Where is she, let me speak to her!’’ Jack pleaded, holding the phone tightly against his ear.

‘’Oh, she is safe and sound with me. Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of her.’’

‘’Christian, please let me go back to Jack!’’ Y/N exclaimed, knees propped up on the hot leather passenger seat of his car.

‘’Shut up!’’ He gave her a glare, eyes locked on hers for a split second before turning his attention on the road again.

Her sigh escalated through her, a switch on the radio echoed through her ears, making her spine twitch.

‘’Ten, nine, eight, seven rabbits running to the finish line Johnny shot a fucking triple with his brand new AR-15.’’

Christian drove at about 70 miles per hour on the road, the speed he was going for was probably illegal as hell.

‘’Hey uh, Chrisitan? Can you slow down just-just a bit?’’ She felt her heart sink down to her stomach, Y/N felt helpless.

‘’Hey Christian? Can you please slow down!?’’ Her voice rose, finally catching his attention for a split second. The car came to a dead stop in the middle of nowhere, no street lights around, just pitch black dark.

Christian hopped out of the car, without her knowing, he opened the passenger door and persuaded Y/N to at least come out of the car and have a talk with him.

‘’How when my fucking arms are tied around my back?’’ She looked at him like he had lost his mind, all she wanted was for him to let her go and return back to Jack.

‘’I’ll help you, okay? Chill out.’’ He remained calm, and didn’t snap like he did earlier in the arena.

He proceeded to help her out of his car, and unfastened the rope that was pressured against her raw wrists.

‘’Th-thanks.’’ She favored her wrists, before turning her attention to the man who took her out of the Daily’s Palace arena.

‘’Listen, I don’t want you to be alarmed of any sort but…’’ He trailed off, trying to choke out the words he was going to tell her.

‘’Fuck. Uh, I really like you, in reality. Look, I didn’t mean to tell you to shut up earlier, or tie your wrists behind your back. I was just trying to do Jack a favor, alright? I seriously like you.’’ Christian’s cheeks blossomed red, darting a hand through his blonde hair.

‘’Oh, really?’’ Y/N placed her hands on the solid hood of his car, giving him somewhat of a glare as in ‘’I don’t believe you.’’

‘’Yes. I’m not kidding. I like, I mean, love you Y/N. Ever since I have laid my eyes on you, all I could do was think about Jack having you before I could have you. It’s not jealousy–’’

She vocalized a ‘’mhm’’ sound, and took a sharp exhale of breath.

‘’Now that I think about it, I kind of did have a crush on you as well. Just for a little while,’’ She proclaimed, inching closer to the man who was her enemy.

‘’I— I fucking hated your guts, not gonna lie.’’ She spat out, laughing.

Christian inched closer to Y/N, decimeters away from her face.

‘’I knew you were gonna say that,’’ He whispered softly.

The awkward silence drew in, you couldn’t hear birds chirping, not even a single soul was out there. That’s how quiet it was.

His pink lips suddenly pressed onto her’s.

Her body froze solid into his larger frame with her eyes closed, as she trusted him just for a few seconds, accepting the kiss.

What if Jack finds out I kissed Chrisitan Cage, his mentor? She mentally added.

He wrapped his muscular arms around her skinny waist, tightening the grip on her with fiery passion of ‘’I want to be with this woman.’’

I just kissed Jack’s mentor.

A single clear raindrop plopped onto Y/N’s head, she hummed and had her hands resting on each side of his shoulders. Thousands of thoughts were pondering over both their heads, the thoughts of ‘’what if’s’’ and ‘’what will happen’’. Rain began to scream down on them, they hugged each other motionlessly while the rain didn’t bother them quite a bit.

Christian’s brown leather jacket shriveled off of his body, hitting the hood of his car that both of their body weights were holding. He lifted Y/N’s chin up slowly, and leaned in for the kiss again.

‘’I l-love you,’’ He told her.

A million times he had told her that like a broken record.

He wanted Y/N for himself.

She kissed him until her lips were completely dry, hand resting on the back of his head as his larger hand somehow locked with her’s.

‘’I love you too, Christian.’’

I think of them every single day (this also turned into a lot of johnigail headcannons)

Modern Marston Family hcs

• Abigail is one of those moms who paints their baby bump as a pumpkin for Halloween

• John went through an emo phase when he was a high schooler. he also got a lot of stick’n’poke tattoos during that phase so he has randomly placed tattoos of wolfs and knifes and other things he thought was cool at the time. his hair was also longer then so he braided it a lot

• Abigail was in foster care when she was a kid but eventually got adopted by an older couple when she was like, eleven

• Abigail was a weird mix of a Lana Del Ray girl and a Katy Perry girl in high school

• John and Abigail met bc Arthur and John were walking Cooper and he got off the leash and he ran away so Arthur and John split up to look for him but Abigail ended up finding him and running into John first and they hit it off

• John will always continue to get stick’n’pokes so that means him and Abigail have each other a lot in the early stages of their relationship

• John only had like two girlfriends before Abigail and they didn’t last that long so when him and Abigail made out for the first time his little brain exploded

• Abigail worked at a gas station and would take smoke breaks but it was really her and John hanging out behind the gas station while he smoked (she’d smoke every once in a while but mostly it would just be him)

• Abigail got a second job as a waitress and John would go to the restaurant at least once a week and would order something expensive and just say to put it on Dutch’s tab and she’d stand there and giggle (Dutch was livid when he found out)

• John took Abigail to see a few horror movies in theaters bc he though she’d get scared and cling to him but she ended up liking them a lot more than he did

• Abigail took some of John’s shirts from his emo phase so now she has a few of those stupid wolf shirts and a few emo band shirts that she’s only ever listened to in John’s car

• John and Abigail “ran away” their first summer of being together -> they went on a little roadtrip and came back after a few weeks bc they were running out of money

• John tried teaching Abigail how to drive stick shift (Hosea had to take over for him bc John kept getting frustrated and John didn’t want Arthur around Abigail)

• John and Abigail would also smoke weed together once in a while

• John couldn’t hold a job when he was younger bc he either didn’t want to show up or would just forget so he’d often pawn things to get money but it went from small things like watches to bigger things like lawnmowers. the one time he got caught it was bc he was buying Abigail a designer bag for her birthday. so he got held in the police department and Miss Grimshaw gave him A Talk about how if he wanted to be good to Abigail, he had to actually had to get a job and keep it

• John did end up getting a job at a smoke shop and after his first few paychecks he took Abigail to a nice restaurant

• ok so Abigail was trying to go to community college but at the time she was getting ready to go she got pregnant with Jack

• Abigail and John did almost end up breaking up after they found out bc they got into a fight but after they cried together and talked to Miss Grimshaw they didn’t

• John was renting an apartment at the time Abigail got pregnant so she moved in with him a few months into her pregnancy. they both knew that eventually they’d have to get a bigger apartment once Jack started getting bigger

• they didn’t pay for daycare so they’d drop Jack off with Tilly or Arthur for a few hours while they worked

• Abigail did get hit with some depression for the first few years when Jack was born bc she was like 18/19, her and John were both working multiple jobs, Jack was a fussy baby and there were so many changes with her body and mind all at once. Ik she was crying when Jack cried bc she didn’t know what to do (in modern and canon)

• John did notice this ofc and tried to get advice from whoever he could. him and Abigail did get into a few fights during like the first year of Jacks life but he would try to take her out on a date night if he had the money and time

• Jack was like, a relatively happy kid. when he was younger, at least. like he had a few friends in pre-k and kindergarten through like fifth grade, but it was only three or four friends. they grew apart a little bit and one of them moved away and then after sixth grade they kind of stopped hanging out altogether. Abigail cried about it.

• I know deep down in my heart that John is a girl dad. I might be delusional abt it but it makes me giggle

• the first time John referred to Abigail as his wife she almost cried

• I think there’s a six year age-gap between Jack and his sister. I think they’d be closer in canon than they are in modern. they also were closer when they were younger

• also by the time Abigail was pregnant with their second kid they could barely afford the apartment so they bought a trailer. they weren’t really happy about it but it was better than being homeless

• but while Jack and his sister were young Abigail took as many pictures as she could and printed them all out and put them in a photo album

• by the time the Marston daughter was born John straightened out a bit more

• like John drinks and smokes in the house but he makes sure that the kids are fed and put to bed before he does

• John was a little bit drunk during one of Jacks birthday parties but he held it together mostly and played with Jack if his head didn’t hurt too bad

• John can’t chaperone field trips though bc he gets pissed off at the teachers

• Jacks first Halloween costume was a dog. Abigail was a cat and John just wore one of his old wolf shirts that barely fit him from his emo phase. they did the same thing for the Marston daughters first Halloween but she was also a cat

• I just know that when the Marston daughter lost her first tooth she was five and it was bc her and Jack were having a pillow fight that she started and he hit her in the face a little too hard and her tooth fell out (it was already loose but it scared both of them)

• John used to secretly really love reading to both the kids so they’d fall asleep and missed it more as they grew up

• and they do end up getting a small house for the four of them when Jack is twelve (like in the game) and that's also when John and Abigail officially get married

• John eventually did get a job at an auto shop but would do like. Uber Eats if he needed to

• Abigail was able to get online classes and gets a job in marketing or something but did make money by crocheting/knitting baby clothes and selling them on Etsy

• the Marston daughter had a biting problem

• she also did soccer in grade school but when she got to middle school and high school she did dog walking and babysitting

• Jack was like 🧍‍♂️shy in his teen years. he wanted to do clubs and stuff but he was just wicked anxious. he did do theater club but he was a stage hand. he was also in a book club for a little bit but the other kids in it were annoying.

• I also know his ass got bullied in middle school. he did get into like. one fight in high school that he somehow managed to win.

• he didn’t have a lot of friends. when some kids would try to talk to him he’d think they were gonna end up bullying him and just wouldn’t respond much to them

• he always ate his lunch in the hallway

• the Marston daughter also doesn’t have a lot of friends but she’s got like, two that’ve stuck with her since first grade. she gained one more when she went into middle school and an additional one in high school. Jack was a little jealous but he did begin hanging out with one of her friends older brother occasionally

• Abigail packed both her kids lunches but stopped for Jack when he was in high school bc he just started taking a bag of chips and like. a juice box with him to school. Abigail would still like to make him lunch but he has protested about it multiple times

• Jack always wanted a treehouse when he was a little kid

• it was Abigail's idea to get Rufus for Jack

• Jack still reads westerns

• the Marston daughter also got bullied in school but was mean back to the bullies

• Abigail doesn't have her own pajamas, she just takes Johns

• Jack got a job mowing his neighbors lawns

• John still gets a little lightheaded when Abigail wears a swimsuit

• when Abigail and John first got together he made a CD for her with a mix of their favorite songs and songs that reminded him of her and she somehow still has it but John cringes a little whenever she plays it

• John and Abigail didn't have a honeymoon immediately after they got married but went on one a few years later out to like, Italy or smthn

• the Marston daughter has a habit of over explaining things and Jack has a habit of explaining almost nothing ever

• Jack always has headphones on or earbuds in

• Jack took a creative writing class and it did help a little bit but he was very anxious for most of the class

• the Marston daughter still has her old Barbie dolls. she doesn't play with them but she just looks at them sometimes

• sometimes Jack and John will somehow fall asleep in the same room or watching tv together

• John did teach Jack to hunt

• Uncle doesn't move in with them in modern time but he does invite himself over for dinner a few times each week

• the Marston daughter inherited Johns emo clothes

• Abigail still kisses Jack on the cheek (she doesn't get why it's embarrassing) and rags him for being taller than her

i am so normal about this question right now...

so so normal...

hehe, what i am about to tell you is pretty much canon, actually :0 but i would love to hear your headcanons for us :D

uhm, ok, so-

i don't even know where to begin, so it's gonna take a while to answer-

it's gonna be all over the place too-

:0! one of our joke songs is (nsfw as fuck-)

because it's funny- i mean... at least in our silly heads it's funny and thanks to this

most of the time we both share a single brain cell

silly man really loves animals, especially rabbits and horses! even so, we have a silly cat together despite Dave being alergic to them- he just really loves the furball and- *sobs* they are very cute and my silly heart can't take it-

when he thinks no one is around watching or listening, silly texan man sings Firework by Katy Perry at the top of their lungs (based on this) :D

texan man loves hugging me from behind and resting his head on my back whenever they have the chance and i just- aaaahhh!! :DD

Jeremy teased the hell out of us both before we got together-

i just teased him back about you, hehe :D

but every time your silly teased my silly, Dave would just pick up fights in which they both just throw stupid insults at each other until one of them breaks down sobbing (it was Dave who cried and that because Jeremy insulted his very beautiful and very natural blonde hair-)

Smutty Blog Introduction

Hello fellow earthlings! I’ve been debating for a while now on whether or not to become more active on this platform. Given the short nature (ish) of the content here, it seems like a good option given that I’m currently quite busy with Uni and other life stuff in general, but still feel that writer’s itch and wish to write down thoughts and ideas to explore some creative avenues. Now, for that to happen, I’m more than happy to take requests, given that I’m a part of quite a few fandoms. I’ll also add the characters I’d be willing to write for, so you guys get an idea as to what to expect.

I dunno if I’ve ever written out one of my headcannons but I’ve commented about it a couple times but here goes nothing.

Underneath Peter’s mask he wears what looks like two little hearing aids.

But they’re actually earbuds.

They’re specially made by Peter himself. They’re painless, large enough to stay in the ear without slipping around but small enough that they just fit in like a pair of tiny aids. He expiramented with wired earbuds, the cheapo ones you can get at the Dollar Store, and worked his way up to Apple (Stark) AirPods but, underneath the mask, they were uncomfortable. They fell out, blistered his ear and the skin underneath, and were just a complete and utter pain in the ass.

So he invented his own. It took awhile, and yes, he may have asked for Hawkeye’s help by using actual hearing aids as a base model. But in the end it was worth it. He made the perfect set of in-ear earbuds that were comfortable beneath either a metal or fabric mask.

Listening to the music, sitting high above the city, perching on the rim of a window or hanging from the rafter like he’s Jack Kelly from Newsies, there’s something freeing about unadultered music. Now throw a little web-slinging and swinging and it’s an unimaginable feeling.

Peter used to have a free Spotify account and kept his mix (titled “My Mix”) on shuffle. He liked all the songs on the list and never really needed more than his 6 hourly skips. But after Stark gave him a Spotify Premium account he became a TiNY bit snobby about music choices (no semi-son of mine will be caught DEAD with a free account. Especially when it’s, like, what, .99$?) Unlimited skips have spoiled Peter, but it’s the kind of spoiling he deserves.

Sometimes he plays dramatic music, something only a geek would enjoy during a weekend night game of Dungeons and Dragons (which he does). Swining about to battle-music, taking down the baddies to tavern songs - it’s flipping awesome!

Obviously Peter likes pop music, but to be honest, he likes pop music in the car. Since he’d learned to drive, his sassy side got to come free and scream along to new songs and old - from Queen to Beyonce and back again to ABBA and Katy Perry.

But when he’s on the prowl, protecting his city and defending his family, pop music just seems too happy sometimes. Even if it’s a headbanger or a darker pop song.

No, 90% of the time, Peter listens to what has been labeled as “emo” music.

Emotional screaming from Twenty One Pilots fueling him on as he dives towards a purse thief. Frank Iero wailing as he beats up a mugger. Fall Out Boy screaming out “A LOADED GOD COMPLEX COCKITAHPUHHITTT” as he aims his fingers shoots out some new web formula.

Of course, there are drawbacks. There are times when the music has been... too distracting. It’s too easy to be swept away by Brendon Urie’s sexy, sexy voice as he sings “gospel songs.” (If Mr. Stark asks what he’s listening to, it’s called “gospel music”). There have been times he’s made stupid mistakes because he jumped too soon, went against his spidey sense, in the name of keeping to the beat of MCR’s “Mama” and “Sing.” It was hard to find an excuse besides the truth, which was, “”Death of a Bachelor” almost lured me to my death beacuse I was too busy swaying and missed the guy with a pipe.”

But, for the most part, the music’s pretty good. And while he won’t admit it to Mr. Stark, he has been getting way into Black Sabbath. It’d make the mentor proud to know his not-technically-a-son listens to his type of music, but that teenage part of Peter’s brain won’t let him admit out loud that his technically-not-a-dad has a pretty banging taste in music.

Matt watched her from the doorway of the bathroom, leaning against the frame. She hadn’t noticed him yet, too busy checking her appearance in the large mirror.
