Can you do triple J line with size and breeding kinks x a chubby black girlfriend? Like I mean rolls, thick thighs, and a stomach? Thank you 🥴
🤭 now I been waiting for an ask like this!!! Absolutely!!
!MINORS GO AWAY DO NOT INTERACT!
JAEMIN is absolutely obsessed with holding you, he loves how soft and smooth your skin is—he’ll hug you from behind and sneak his hands up into your shirt and put his hands on your stomach; just softly squishing it in his big hands. He’s so sweet always end courages you, if you have an outfit that’s slightly revealing but you feel too nervous to wear it he’s right behind you telling you that you shouldn’t because he’ll probably rip it off of you to fuck you. But then he’ll seriously tell you to wear the outfit; he’s always telling you that you’ll look sexy in whatever you wear—and he’s right, but he especially likes it when you’re naked. Once you asked him if you could do it with the lights off and when he realized why you asked he immediately said no, he loves seeing the ripples in your hips when he fucks you. The recoil of your ass if just too perfect and the way your breasts bounce with every movement is too pretty to miss. He’s a firm believer in confidence so he’ll fuck you in front of the mirror—holding your arms behind your back as he fucks you from behind; telling you to keep your eyes on the mirror. “Don’t you look so beautiful baby? Hm? Who’s my pretty girl? Huh? Aren’t you pretty? Yes? Yes? You wanna have my baby then?” He gets so turned on hearing your voice as you struggle to respond, all he can think about is getting you pregnant. “I’ll show you how pretty you are…I’ll make sure you know how pretty you are.” He cums so much, he doesn’t want a drop of it to spill out so he’ll carefully walk back to the bed and have you sit on his lap until he knows you’ll get pregnant.
JENO is so unbelievably obsessed with you, he loves putting his hands on your stomach, having you lay on his chest, making you the little spoon—anything where he can hold you and feel your soft body as close as possible, not to mention how short you are and how small your hands are. He doesn’t want you to shy away from getting undressed in front of him, if he notices you getting self conscious he’ll immediately intervene and praise you; shamelessly admitting how much he loves your body. But unfortunately he’s also in love with your body in other ways and just from talking about how much he loves you he’ll get turned on. He praises you so much when he’s fucking you, he wants to look at your face while he’s inside of you too—he’ll make you look him in the eyes while he’s fucking you into the mattress. “Don’t you feel pretty baby? Do you feel pretty when I fuck you like this? Say it…say you’re pretty.” It’s like he’s trying to fuck it into your mind just how beautiful you are, and he’ll get you to love yourself one way or another. He’ll have you screaming out in broken moans; “I’m pretty! I’m so pretty.” And to really drive the point home he’ll cum inside of you; telling you that he thinks you’re so beautiful that he wants you to have his baby. The mention of getting you pregnant only turns him on even more, he has to cum inside of you as deep as possible—so he’ll push your body into a mating press to make sure you’re knocked up.
JISUNG your first thought when Jisung started flirting with you was “he don’t even know what to do with all of this.” But then he proved that he does in fact know what to do with all of that, he is so in love with you and your body—his giant hands are always all over you. Your thighs, your butt, your breasts, your belly; he’s so touchy that you have to pry his hands off of you. Don’t even think about wearing anything tight or anything revealing, he’ll tear it off you before you can get out the door. He loves how soft your body is and how plush it feels when he fucks you, the way your hips look with his fingers dug deeply into your soft hips makes him feel like such a pervert. “So pretty…so fucking pretty…You look so good taking my dick baby…” “So soft…fuck, m’gonna get you pregnant baby…m’gonna fill you up and-and cum inside…mhmm that’s right baby, that’s right…you ready?” Every time he fucks you he talks about getting you pregnant and how he loves stretching you out with his thick cock. He fucks himself dumb thinking about how good you’ll look carrying his child, he just has to make you a mother. When he knows he’s getting close he’ll push your legs back as far as they can go and fuck you as deep as possible; when he finally cums inside of you he’ll keep going—he only pulls out when you’re both sensitive; and when his cum slowly drips out he’ll push it back inside with his finger. “You’ll make such a great mother baby.”

Genre: fluff Words: 1.367 Prompt: Samoyed hybrid Jeno x fem. reader
Warnings: brief mention of injury
A/N: I had this 80% done in my drafts for SO FREAKING LONG. So here finally is a new Jenpup and his baby pups fic. 🥺 I love them a lot.
Hybridverse masterlist
Tumblr media
Jeno had been holed up in his gaming room for a couple of hours now, working on cutting down the mess that the last stream with Donghyuck and Chenle had been so he could make it fit into a video for Youtube. Which was a task in itself. Between their audio overlapping, Chenle’s laugh clipping his mic, and them getting absolutely sidetracked and not getting anything done, he was questioning his abilities as an editor to make this video worth watching. And honestly, he should just suggest starting the stream earlier next time because at one point way past midnight, they had just started to bark, jodel and meow at each other for two minutes straight.
Taking a sip from his trustworthy redbull, he stretched out his back, which made a bunch of satisfying popping noises. He really wasn’t getting any younger. Groaning, the Samoyed hybrid got up from his chair to stretch his legs and tail. With another sigh, he looked at the time: He had already been holed up in his room for way too long. Saving his progress on the video, he decided to give his ears and eyes a break from editing.
Coming out of his room, he was already greeted with the sweet giggles of his baby girl, the sound music to his ears. With a big smile plastered on his face, Jeno carefully made his way to the living room where the sound came from. And there, on the living room sofa, you were playing with Aerum, tickling her belly until she was screeching with laughter. “Enough, Mommy,” she yelped, the sound high and puppy-like, and you finally yielded, instead pressing a kiss to her tummy. Still smiling brightly, Jeno caught your eyes, bringing a finger to his lips. Nodding discreetly, you turned your attention back to Aerum to gently sort out the mess that had become of her hair during your little playfight. Like she was a teething puppy, Aerum only snapped at your fingers, catching them between her teeth before she started laughing loudly when you let out an over-exaggerated sound of pain.
With a loud gasp, Jeno picked up Aerum to throw her up into the air, securely catching the screeching toddler to bury his face in her tummy, inhaling her clean puppy scent. “Daddy!” She screeched, the sound loud in Jeno’s sensitive ears, but he was used to it after having two children with little to no volume control. “You’re not supposed to bite, little one,” he playfully scolded her, acting like he was taking a big bite from her belly. “No, Daddy!” She giggled, wiggling in his grip. “Be nice to your Mommy,” Jeno chuckled, throwing his daughter into the air again before securing her on his hip. “Understood?” He added, gently flicking her fluffy ear. “Always nice,” Aerum argued and stuck out her tongue. “Sticking out your tongue at your Daddy isn’t nice, young lady.”
Ignoring her dad’s comment, Aerum only stuck her tongue out further. “Oh, you’re going to regret this, young lady,” Jeno playfully threatened her, “I’ll give you five seconds to put that away. One- Two- Three~ Four~ Five! That’s it!” With a loud scream from his daughter, Jeno secured her against his chest before dropping down on the sofa, roughly scenting her until her loud laugh turned into sweet giggles, and she gently copied Jeno’s movements, rubbing their noses together. “Missed you, Daddy,” Aerum whispered, throwing her chubby arms around Jeno’s neck. “I’m sorry, princess,” he sighed, wrapping his arms around her too. “Daddy sometimes gets lost in his work,” you explained, sorting out Jeno’s hair before you started scratching his ears. “That’s boring,” Aerum pouted. “That’s what adults do, princess,” Jeno smiled lopsidedly, “We sometimes have to do boring stuff.” “Don’t wanna be an adult.” “You don’t have to be for a long time, princess,” you giggled, kissing the side of her head. “Come here,” Jeno smiled, “Cuddle time.” Mirroring his smile, you squeezed yourself next to your boyfriend onto the narrow sofa, letting Aerum nuzzle into your neck like she was scenting you.
“You know what?” Jeno asked after a while. “Hmm?” “It’s awfully quiet.” Staying silent, you listened for noises in your apartment, and Jeno was right. It was awfully quiet for a home with two young children. “This isn’t good,” you concluded, getting up from the sofa. “What’s wrong, Daddy?” Aerum asked shyly, her big eyes wide. “Nothing, princess,” Jeno reassured her, his hand finding its way into her hair to scratch at her ears, a safe method for any of the puppies in the household to melt.
“Haneul?” You called out but to no avail. Your son stayed quiet. Honestly, you should give him credit since that was one of the hardest things for him to do. “He’s in my room,” Jeno answered in place of his son, his ears twitching as he picked up sounds way too quiet for you to hear. Groaning, you rolled your eyes. “He knows he’s not supposed to be in there without either of us. I’ll go get him.”
“Is he in trouble?” Aerum whispered, pulling Jeno’s attention away from eavesdropping. “No, princess,” Jeno sighed, hugging her against his chest, “But-” He interrupted himself to kiss her forehead, “You know you’re not allowed in Daddy’s room without Mom or me.” “I know,” the little pup pouted, “Because there’s boring adult stuff.” “That’s right, princess,” he chuckled, pinching her chubby cheeks in an onslaught of cute aggression.
“Jeno?” You called out. “Huh?” He called back, sitting up with Aerum on his lap. “Get your fucking son.” Before Jeno could even react to you cursing in front of your children, he heard Haneul barreling towards the living room. “Fuck, fuck, fuuuck,” Haneul repeated the curse word, jumping on the sofa before he went off to run around the kitchen island, which luckily featured rounded corners and Haneul had been wearing grippy socks since an incident he had when he was three that included a trip to the hospital and a concussion. “What happened?” “Remember that redbull on your desk?” You groaned, tiredly rubbing your face, simply stepping out of the doorframe to let your son run down the hallway. “No.” “Yes.” You responded with a tight-lipped smile. “Fuck.” “Ehehehehehhe, fuuuck,” Haneul all but howled, jumping onto the sofa again to grab his sister, who only giggled and started jumping up and down with him. “You’re dealing with this,” you concluded.
“Pups,” Jeno tried to get their attention, “You’re going to hurt yourselves.” But it was to no avail. His pups weren’t listening and because Haneul had yet to understand that he was much bigger and stronger than his sister, he roughly tackled her onto the cushions. But before Jeno’s heart could stop, Aerum’s loud laughter cut through the living room and she was fighting back dirty; gripping onto her brother’s heavily wagging tail to get him to stop roughing her up.
“Pups,” Jeno tried again, gripping Haneul at the back of his shirt to pull him off of his sister. Instead of going limp like he always did when he was younger, Haneul wound himself out of Jeno’s grip and slapped his little hand onto his bicep. “Tag, you’re it!” Before Jeno could process anything, Haneul was up on his feet, dragging Aerum up and out through the screen door and into the garden.
When Jeno sat there frozen and with his eyes wide, you could just giggle: “You wanted another one.” “I did,” he sighed. “Daaaaaaad!” Haneul called from the outside, “You can’t catch us!” “Go play with them. I’ll get started on dinner,” you smiled, pressing a kiss to his lips. “They’re going to sleep well tonight,” he promised, softly kissing you again.
“Stop being gross!” Aerum interrupted this time, her face and hands pressed against the big and formerly clean windows. “Go run, little Lady,” Jeno growled playfully and in turn, Aerum let out an excited little yip as she ran further into the big garden. With a smile on his lips and his tail wagging with barely concealed excitement, Jeno pulled on his shoes, delighted to hear his pups squeal when he closed the screen door behind himself.

{13} - Morning Mist - Yandere!Dragon!Ateez X Chubby!Reader
Tumblr media
Yandere AU & Dragon AU
Genre: Mature, Horror, Angst
Pairing: Ateez X Reader (Focus on Jongho)
Words: 5,900
Warnings: Past trauma discussed: torture and imprisonment, scars, death, violence, a lot of angst but with a happy ending. This is a Yandere story, it will contain themes such as stalking, violence, obsession, possessive natures, and just general overall creepiness and swearing. You have been warned.
A/n: Wow, it's really been a whole ass month since I've updated this series. Lmaooo whoops! Anyways, I really hope you all enjoy this chapter, I've got a lot more planned coming up as the following parts will really focus on the development of OC's relationships with all of the guys. As always, feedback is greatly appreciated! Enjoy~
Also, gentle reminder that I do not do tag lists.
Chapter One - Chapter Two - Chapter Three - Chapter Four - Chapter Five - Chapter Six - Chapter Seven - Chapter Eight - Chapter Nine - Chapter Ten - Chapter Eleven - Chapter Twelve - Mini Masterlist
It’s early that same evening when eight dragons sense a somewhat familiar presence getting closer to their own nest. Focussing in, they soon realize that there are actually two.
Stepping out of their home, all of the Halas (minus Jongho who currently sits on the roof), stare up at the two Neos who descend into their yard. Both dragons are blue in colour, though one is quite a lighter shade than the other. The darker of the two is slightly bigger, but the smaller radiates more of an air of intimidation. A moment later, they discover why.
Landing gracefully on the grass, both Jeno and Renjun appear before the eight Halas.
“Sorry to intrude like this,” Renjun begins, dusting off the front of his pants lightly.
“How did you find us?” It’s Yeosang that asks, brow furrowing slightly as he stares at the Neos.
“Is everything okay?” Immediately, Jongho hops down from the roof, worry clear in his eyes.
“Everything’s fine, don’t worry.” Jeno smiles at him faintly, and he watches as the youngest Hala’s shoulders relax. “You would have heard us roar if something had happened.”
“To answer your question,” Renjun shifts his gaze to Yeosang, “It was easy to find you. You guys don’t really hide your scents as well as you think.”
Hongjoong, San, and Mingi all purse their lips slightly at this, a minor furrow to their brows.
“Why are you here?” It’s Seonghwa who says it, but his tone isn’t as sharp as the Neos are used to. Instead, it holds a genuine curiosity as the eldest Hala crosses his arms over his chest.
“Well, I was sent here to collect a certain dragon.” Renjun says, before motioning to Jeno with a jerk of his head. “Her cub just wanted to ‘tag along’.”
At this, more than a few eyebrows raise.
“I came to make sure you don’t butcher her offer.” Jeno huffs, a roll to his eyes. “You make it sound like you’re here to bring back one of their heads on a spike.”
“Offer?” This catches Wooyoung’s attention, his entire demeanour perking up instantly.
“Who?” San doesn’t even attempt to hide the eagerness in his voice.
Both Renjun and Jeno spare a glance at one another out of the corner of their eyes before their gazes are shifting onto the youngest Hala standing across from them.
“Him.” Renjun jerks his chin in Jongho’s direction.
The younger male cannot help but stand a little straighter in his spot, heart racing in his chest. You sent for him?
“What about?” Yunho does his best to ask the question casually, but his feigned disinterest only serves to make the slight desperation in his voice all the clearer.
“That’s between him and her.” Renjun replies, a mild shrug to his shoulders as he turns back around. “She’ll be waiting.”
“Wait!” It’s the youngest’s voice that has Renjun halting right in his tracks for the moment. As soon as Jongho sees the Neo spare a glance over his shoulder, he’s continuing, “where can I find her?”
The corner of Renjun’s lips quirks upward before turning back around and taking off into the evening sky.
Jeno lets out a sigh, shaking his head. He meets Jongho’s gaze. “Let the lights guide you home.”
In the blink of an eye, Jeno has shifted and taken off into the air, following closely behind Renjun without another word.
All Halas turn to look at their youngest.
“The hell is that supposed to mean?” Mingi frowns, arms crossing over his chest.
“Don’t worry about it.” Jongho breathes, blinking after the two retreating dragons as he attempts to wrap his head around this turn of events.
You want to see him? He can still hardly believe it.
Before any more of his brothers can say another word, Jongho is taking off into the evening sky. The faintest hues of pink and orange begin to dust the clouds as the sun begins to set, warming the earth with its final rays. The way his golden scales glint in the fading light is synonymous with the way that his tail eagerly flicks back and forth through the air, cutting through the sky with a newfound purpose as he flies towards you.
It takes Jongho all of three minutes to reach that little special clearing on the edge of the cliff. He sees you just through the thicket of the trees, that small tower of stones resting beside you as you sit on the ground. The way he can feel your eyes on him, tracking his every movement has a pleasant shiver caressing his spine.
He circles lower.
If he’s being honest with himself, Jongho is a little cautious of flying directly into that clearing. You told him the last time he found you here that you only allow people that you have granted permission access to step foot on such a sacred part of your territory. He’d really rather not run smack into that invisible wall again.
Then, as if you’ve read his every thought, you chuckle.
“You may land, you know.” You smile softly as you stand to your feet. “I would not send for you to join me here if I haven’t already granted you permission to set foot inside this circle.”
Jongho’s breath catches in his throat, and he bets more than anything that you’ve heard his reaction loud and clear. So badly does he want to let out a rumble of content, but he feels as if it might be too much for the moment. He simply does not want to read into this more than is necessary. Yet, with everything that you’ve told him so far, he cannot help but do just that.
You called for him. You wanted to see him.
That alone gives him more hope than you could ever imagine.
Gliding towards that small opening on the side of the cliff, Jongho can still feel your eyes on him. The sensation of having your gaze roam over his true form is unlike any other, and for the first time, he senses that you are taking your time to memorize every detail. He simply hopes that you are as mesmerized by him as he is always mesmerized by you.
With his heart soaring in his chest, Jongho stretches his wings as far as they will go while he comes in for his landing. He purposely puts himself on display, fanning his crown as his tail flicks behind him. The way the light of the setting sun catches on his scales, illuminating the clearing with little iridescent reflections of golden hues has him preening proudly as he shakes out his muzzle.
The feeling of your eyes on him is like no other. That soft smile is still on your features as you stand with your arms gently supporting one another by the elbows. Your cloak rests open over your shoulders and as soon as he shifts back into his human form, you begin to take a few steps towards him. Only, Jongho cannot shake that brief look of longing that crossed your features for a moment.
Why did you just look so sad?
Closing the distance between your two bodies, you come to stand directly before him. Slowly, you take his hands in your own, staring deeply into his eyes.
He swallows thickly, doing whatever he can to keep his body from physically trembling while being held in your touch. “You wanted to see me?”
“I did.” You confirm, a slight nod to your head. “I’m glad you came.”
Jongho nearly hums at your words. “I will always come when you call for me.”
You motion for him to join you near the edge of the cliff, sitting down so that your legs are dangling off of the side. “I desired to speak with you.”
The pleased rumble that escapes him could not have been smothered, even if he tried. “About?”
“I have come to a few realizations over the past day, and there are some things I would like to share with you now.” You say, staring out over the valley as you continue to watch the sun set before you. “If this is to continue between us, then you have a right to know. I want you to know.”
Jongho wishes he could deny the way his breath catches once more in his throat. Slowly, he sits beside you on the edge of the cliff, feeling as if his heart is about to beat right out of his chest.
“I am not promising you anything, Jongho.” You turn to look directly into his eyes as you say this. “I cannot. That does not mean that I am not beginning to trust you. If you are as serious about me, about us as you say you are, then I need you to listen to what I am about to tell you. I need you to understand.”
His expression softens, and he has to prevent himself from reaching out and grabbing your hand in his own. Still, he turns towards you, giving you his full and undivided attention.
“I understand.” His voice is low, eyes flitting over your every feature and committing this moment to memory for years to come. The way the sunlight dances across every inch of your figure makes you glow, a warmth flooding his veins the longer he stares at you.
“You continue to prove yourself to me every day that I know you,” you continue, a slight tremble to your voice. “I think it’s only fair you finally get to know some things about me in return.”
“Please, only tell me if you’re comfortable telling me.” He says, a hint of concern in his gaze. “If you’re not ready, don’t force yourself. I can wait.”
“See,” you smile reassuringly, but he’s unsure if it’s more for yourself or for him at the moment, “You just did it again.”
“Did what?” He blinks at you.
“Proved you’re ready to hear what I am about to say.” The corner of your lips twitch upwards, and Jongho notices a few fireflies beginning to float around the area, dancing lightly around your head.
A brief silence settles over the both of you as he waits for you to speak. That is, until you’re letting out a low sigh.
“These are not easy subjects for me to discuss with anyone. Only my closest friends know these specific details about me, so I apologize in advance if it takes me longer to voice certain thoughts over others right now.” You say, shifting your gaze out toward the setting sun. “The chat I had with your brother last night made me realize that it wouldn’t be so bad if you knew some things, too.”
“Take all the time you need,” he gently assures you, his fingers twitching lightly as he rests his palm in the grass between the two of you. “I’m right here.”
He notices you swallow thickly, your hands resting in your lap clinging onto one another as your fingers nervously wring together. This is the most anxious he’s ever seen you, and his heart aches not knowing what he can do to make it better. The urge to pull you into his arms and whisper sweet nothings into your ears is strong, but he holds himself back for now.
Taking a deep breath, your mouth parts, only to close a moment later. Then, you exhale through your nose, shutting your eyes briefly as you steel your nerves.
“I will start with the easier admissions first,” you begin, “But everything I admit to you this evening does not leave this clearing.”
“I would never betray your trust like that.” Jongho replies instantly, nothing but the deepest sincerity shining within his gaze.
A firm nod from you is all the confirmation he needs that you believe him.
Again, you sigh.
“I understand that you and your brothers perceive myself along the likes of the ancients.” You breathe. “You would be correct.”
Jongho blinks in shock.
“Though I am no ancient, I was raised by one.” You tell him. “My father is one of the oldest of the original dragons still alive to this day. Other than my Uncle Ken, of course. He has power unlike anything you could believe, and it has been ingrained in me to be as strong as he is ever since I was small.”
“My mother was a powerful witch.” A slight purse to your lips. “I never met her, for she died during childbirth. My father loved her deeply, and was devastated when he lost her. Every time he looked at me, all he could see was her face, and how he failed her.”
Jongho swallows thickly, already not liking where this seems to be going.
“My Uncle Ken raised me for the first ten years of my life. I thought he was my actual father for a time, for he always treated me better than my biological one.” You huff out a dry laugh. “My father couldn’t bear the grief that came with seeing me, so he gave me away to his best friend. It wasn’t until he learnt I could summon the same powers as my mother that he finally made his presence known in my life.”
The growl Jongho has to suppress nearly chokes him, a deep hatred already blooming in his chest for your father. How could anyone not want you, let alone your own flesh and blood?
“I thought he wanted nothing to do with me after I found out,” you scoff lightly. “Imagine a twelve year old finally being told the truth.”
He has to keep himself from shaking, but still, he remains quiet.
“My training started after that.” You lean back onto your hands, looking upwards into the darkening sky as those fireflies float lethargically around your head. “I was sent to survive on my own in the wilderness. I nearly died eleven times in the first week, were it not for my Uncle Ken.”
Jongho’s jaw clenches, biting his tongue before he says something he might come to regret.
“I was young, and I didn’t know anything about survival. Hell, I didn’t even know I was a dragon at this point yet. My Uncle wanted me to live as normally as possible for as long as I could before subjecting me to certain types of magic.” You swallow. “I learned everything there was about this earth before I was fifteen, and I knew how to wield every type of weapon by the time I was twenty.”
“You were a child.” He seethes, eyes swirling with a deep golden hue.
“I was a prodigy.” You finally turn to meet Jongho’s gaze. “After all, my father had a reputation to uphold.”
“That’s despicable,” Jongho’s frown is prominent, smoke escaping him with every exhale.
“The past is passed, Young One. I’m not going to change it now.” You sigh.
“That doesn’t mean what you went through is okay.” His chest heaves with every breath. “It doesn’t make it okay.”
“I know it doesn’t.” You nod in agreement. “Remember, I am telling you this so you can understand.”
Again, Jongho bites his tongue.
“My father was adamant on me learning physical defence before ever properly training my magic. He believed that my powers should only be used as a last resort since they could destroy anyone in the blink of an eye.” You go on to say. “I realize now he only trained me the way he did because he was always scared of what I could become.”
“Scared?” Jongho’s brow furrows.
“You see, Jongho,” you chuckle, “because of the anomaly my entire existence centres around, I am potentially even more powerful than my father.”
You swear he stops breathing.
Taking a deep breath, you sit back upright.
“Do you recall what I told you the last time we were both in this clearing?” You ask, not even bothering to spare him a glance out of the corner of your eyes. “About My Cubs?”
A brief memory flashes within his mind as he nods.
“I told you that my father ensured I could never have ones of my own.” You continue. “Do you know why that is?”
He shakes his head.
“Other than the fact that my own children could potentially be more powerful than me, my father has never gotten over my mother’s death. He has blamed me for it every moment of my existence.” You tell him. “However, that did not stop him from developing a twisted sense of love towards me. He took away my ability to have hatchlings of my own to ensure I never incurred the same fate as my mother. I am the last living attachment he has of her, so he will do whatever he can to ensure my safety now. It’s why my training only got harder after what happened with Daisy.”
A moment’s pause before Jongho asks, voice soft and barely above a whisper, “what happened with Daisy?”
The way you instantly curl in on yourself does not go unnoticed by him. Your hands grip at the sides of your cloak, pulling it tighter around your body as you look down for the moment.
“Are you familiar with the S’ber Hunters?” Your voice is much quieter than it was before, blinking blankly at the valley before you.
“The ones that are always hunting for the ancients?” He frowns, attempting to wrap his head around what they have to do with anything. “I’ve heard that they haven’t been seen on this side of the fjord for almost fifty years.”
“There’s a reason for that.” You shift your gaze to him, and he notices tears beginning to gather in the corners.
“What did they do?” His heart pounds, already fearing the worst.
Your lips purse for a good thirty seconds, chin beginning to wobble as you attempt to control your emotions. Only, the second you go to speak a choked sob tears from your throat.
“They took her.” Your voice is no more than a mere whisper, words strained as you take an unsteady breath in. “They killed My Daisy right in front of me.”
Your eyes squeeze shut as you cover your mouth with one of your hands. A vicious sob wracks your entire body, and Jongho instantly goes to place a comforting hand onto your back. Only, before he can so much as graze your skin, he stops himself.
Slowly, he shifts closer, reaching over to grab your free hand in his.
Any and every comfort he can, he will offer to you. Even through something as small as this, he wants you to know that he is here for you. You are not alone, and he will be with you every step of the way.
“They killed her for loving me.” Your voice is rough as you sniffle, wiping away your tears for the moment.
Yet, you do not pull your one hand away from his own.
“I had just-“ your breath hitches in your throat, more fireflies coming to float around the two of you as if to offer their silent support. A deep, shaky breath later, you continue, “I am sure you are aware of our marking rituals between imprinted.”
Jongho’s back straightens. “I am.”
“Her mark - my mark - was on full display when she went traversing through the village that day.” You close your eyes, as if the visions are coming back to haunt your memories once again. “They followed her home and ambushed us. I begged her to deny their accusations of loving me. They would have let her go free if she did.” Your eyes blink open, more tears spilling onto your cheeks as you force a strained smile onto your lips. “She didn’t.”
His expression falls, hand squeezing yours tightly as his heart absolutely aches for you.
“My Daisy fought up until the very end. She was so brave, yet I couldn’t save her,” a broken sob tears from your throat as your whole body begins to shake. “I was still so young, and so weak.”
“No-“
“I was.” You cut him off. “I had been neglecting my training, and I couldn’t sense them creeping in around us. They caught me with iron before I could react, and all I could do was watch as the love of my life bled out before me.”
Again, Jongho shifts closer, placing his one hand overtop of your own still held in his other.
“S’ber Hunters are ruthless. They kill anyone who associates with dragons, but they never kill the dragon.” You shake your head slightly. “No. They do something much worse.”
Sliding your hand from his grip, you meticulously roll up your sleeves. Extending your arms to him, you put your scars on full display. The light from the fireflies illuminate the faint lines raised in jagged peaks along your skin, the weight of those iron shackles still ever prominent despite them having long since been broken off.
Jongho’s eyes go wide, his chest rising and falling dramatically as he takes in the sight before him. Furious doesn’t even begin to describe him right now as he sees the scars lining your skin. Though, nothing could prepare him for the anger and guilt that he feels towards himself. How has he never noticed before?
Carefully, Jongho raises his hands to cup your forearms gently in his grip. His thumbs trace lightly over the raised tissue over your wrists, entire body trembling as he attempts to put a leash on his anger for the moment.
“I’ll kill them for touching you.” His voice is low, eyes the darkest you’ve ever seen from him.
You smile, somewhat tensely. “You’re a few hundred years too later.”
His gaze darts up to meet your own, his fingers tightening the slightest bit as he continues to hold your arms gently in his grip.
A moment of silence passes between you as he attempts to keep his whole body from trembling.
“How long?” Jongho cannot keep the fear out of his voice.
You manage to meet his gaze.
“Five hundred and two days.”
The way his eyes shine says it all. You can see the pain, the grief he holds for you. Yet, also the anger, and the concern, along with the growing need to comfort and protect you in every and any way that he can.
“It doesn’t matter what type of dragon you are. To them, we’re all the same.” Your voice is low, and you don’t realize how he grabs your hands back into his own. “To them, we all have connections to the ancients, and we all know where their nests are.”
There’s a part of him that wants to ask, but he’s scared. The thought of you telling him just what type of tortures you had to endure terrifies him because he wasn’t there to protect you. Knowing that you have suffered, and that he could do nothing about it, pains him more than you’ll ever know.
“The S’ber are smart.” You add. “Tell me, Jongho. How do you kill a dragon without taking away their life?”
He shakes his head, a single tear already beginning to trail down the side of his cheek.
“You go for their wings.”
The mere thought of what you had to endure suffocates his very soul. He clings onto you for dear life, squeezing your hands as an unbridled rage festers beneath his skin. This must be why you react so intensely whenever someone touches your back.
“Everyday they asked me where the nest was, and everyday I received a lash for not answering.” Your jaw begins to tremble. “They were smart, too. Keeping me locked up in the dark so I couldn’t tell what day it was, or how much time had passed. The only way I knew was through the lashings. Everyday they would add one to the tally, until they reached one hundred. Then, they would start all over. The scars littering my back still have never fully healed, and it took me years to be able to shift again. I honestly don’t even know what the state of my wings look like now. Not after-”
You cut your words short, lips clamping shut as if admitting to whatever you were about to is far worse than anything you’ve already said. He doesn’t push.
Instead, Jongho’s entire body trembles, golden eyes staring at you with nothing but concern on his features. Right now, comforting you is more important than any rage he feels festering within his soul. No wonder you keep yourself so guarded.
If he ever so much as catches a single whiff of one of these hunters, they’re dead.
“That wasn’t even the worst part, though.” Your eyes are blank as you stare at your hands. The way you can feel him looking at you has a tight smile pulling at your lips. “No, the worst part wasn’t the beatings. It wasn’t being in the dark, or not allowing myself to grieve for Daisy during all of that time. The worst part was knowing that I was alone. My father didn’t once come looking for me when I got captured. He immediately thought I was dead, and would have rather succumbed to his own grief than spare a hope I had survived somehow. It was My Neos who rescued me, but even they had some help.”
“Your own father didn’t even bother to look for you?” Jongho is this close to hunting this bastard down and frying him alive, ancient or not.
“No.” You shake your head. “It was my Uncle Ken that helped the Neos, and destroyed the S’ber hideout. There’s not but ash left. Ash and memory.”
Jongho’s eyes flash, his whole body stilling as realization washes over him. A second later, and each breath he begins to release boarders on a feral snarl.
“My brothers,” his eyes are wide, a crazed gleam shining within, “they compared you to the likes of them. They ruthlessly compared you to the people who hurt you the most without a second thought.”
His fangs elongate, the air spiking with electricity.
Jongho sees red.
“They didn’t know.” You reply, much calmer than anything he could ever expect. As if you’re used to this type of reaction from people.
“That’s still no fucking excuse for comparing you to those beasts.” He snarls, pulling away from you for a moment as his claws extend.
The last thing he wants is to hurt you, or to scare you away. You’ve already extended more trust to him this evening than he could have ever hoped for. Like hell is he going to damage that, or make you regret telling him all of this.
“You understand why My Neos and I react the way we do now?” You state, meeting his gaze which flashes with the heat of his fury. “Why that promise I made to My Daisy is so important to me? Why I do not allow true hunters into my village anymore?”
Jongho blinks, digging his claws into the dry earth beneath him to ground him for the moment. “I do.”
“Good.” You nod once, wiping at your lingering tears with the back of your hand. “Then, I have one final thing to tell you.”
You go on to tell him the exact same thing about the prophecy as you told Seonghwa last night. The way Jongho remains quiet through it all has you watching him carefully. Every minuscule movement of his brow, every twitch of his jaw, you see, gaze calculating and calm.
“I despise your father.” He spits, rather harshly as a scowl tugs at his features.
This causes you to chuckle. “You, me, and all of My Neos. I’m pretty sure my Uncle Ken has started resenting him a long time ago, too.”
“If I ever meet him, I’m going to kill him for what he put you through.” Jongho turns to meet your eyes, nothing but the deepest form of sincerity shining within his electric gaze.
“I haven’t seen my father in over twenty years, and I’d like to keep it that way.” You say, and you feel the faintest of touches brush over your cheek in comfort. For a moment, you believe it to be Daisy, so you think nothing of it to lean into such a touch. However, at the warmth you feel remaining pressed against your cheek, a thumb tenderly stroking over your skin, you realize that that is not the case.
“I am deeply sorry, My Light, that you have experienced such hardships, and that I have not been there to protect you from them.” His voice is low, cupping your face gently in the palm of his hand. “I swear to you that I will never let anything hurt you again. Not as long as I am here to watch over you. I will never go back on my promise. You mean too much to me.”
“You have nothing to apologize for, Jongho.” You gently place your hand over his own on your cheek, and he thinks you’re about to pull it away. However, the moment your eyes flutter shut, you leaning even more into his touch, he knows that that’s not the case. “I cannot tell you what happened to me fifty years ago yet, for the wounds are still all too fresh in my heart. I cannot promise you that this will be easy, either.”
A lone firefly lands atop the back of your hand, the subtle glow illuminating the side of your face in the dark of the night.
“I have denied most, if not all dragons who have imprinted on me in that time because I could not bring myself to love again.” You admit, a single tear cascading down your cheek. He’s quick to wipe it away, holding his breath as he waits for you to continue. “However,” that single word has his heart stuttering with hope in his chest, “I am willing to try again.”
Jongho swears that he stops breathing. Your words have filled him with such an unbelievable sense of warmth that radiates outwards from his chest, flooding his veins with every breath he takes, that he cannot help but shed a few tears of his own. Nothing but pure and utter happiness sparks through his soul, his hands beginning to shake as he holds you in his embrace.
He doesn’t even realize that his tail has emerged until he physically draws you in closer to his body. The way your eyes widen the slightest bit, a faint amount of amusement dancing behind your orbs says it all.
He goes to retract his tail, cheeks warming beneath your gaze. “Sorry.”
You smile at him faintly, allowing your thumb to lightly trace over the back of his hand still cupping your cheek gently. “I don’t mind.”
Jongho freezes, your words washing over him. He can feel his heart leaping for joy inside his chest, his eyes searching your face for any hesitancy or uncertainty. When he finds none, he smiles.
His tail, which he had slowly been shifting away from your lower back is instantly around you once more. He pulls you closer to him, your one leg pressed right up against his own as the tip of his tail swishes happily over the skin of your one thigh. There is nothing more intimate to him than this moment, right here, right now, with you, and Jongho is going to revel in this euphoric feeling for as long as he can.
Again, he searches your gaze.
“Thank you,” he breathes, shifting impossibly closer, even if only the slightest bit. “For everything tonight. For trusting me with this. For giving me a chance to prove myself to you. For letting me love you, and continuing to let me love you despite it all.”
You opt to remain quiet for the moment, blinking at him lightly as you observe his every move. You don’t want to acknowledge how quickly your own heart is racing for the moment, but with each passing second, you find yourself melting even more into his touch.
Just what is this dragon doing to you?
“I won’t let you down.” He leans forward, resting his forehead against your own as a pleased rumble escapes his chest.
Jongho doesn’t even attempt to hide the way his hooded eyes continuously flick down to your lips. His tongue even darts out to wet his own, nuzzling the slightest bit against you as he draws you in closer with his tail.
“You are so beautiful,” his voice is a mere whisper, the ghost of his breath trailing against your lips with every word he speaks. A pleased rumble builds in his chest, “And strong.”
It’s almost as if he’s gone into a trance. A trance of which where all he can see is you.
“My Light,” he hums contently, “I do not wish to overstep,” he swallows, his throat bobbing with the movement, “but, please,” his eyes flick down to your lips once more before coming up to stare deeply into your eyes, “please, may I kiss you?”
Your own breath catches in your throat, and you cannot deny the way your heart skips a beat in your chest. It’s been so long since someone has asked you this, and you find that it feels just like the very first time with Daisy.
Softly, you smile. “You may.”
His lips are on yours without another moment of hesitation.
With everything that he is, Jongho pours his entire heart and soul into this kiss. He cups your cheeks gently with both of his hands, tail wrapped securely around your lower waist as he presses you against him. The way he can feel your own hands find purchase on his body has a pleased rumble building within his chest, tingles erupting beneath his skin wherever you touch.
All too soon, he pulls himself away, not wanting to overstep or make you uncomfortable. His eyes remain shut as he leans into you, pressing his forehead gently against your own once more.
“I love you, My Light.” Jongho breathes, golden eyes blinking open to stare deeply into your own.
The subtle pull of your lips upwards is nothing short of sweet, and the way he can hear your own heart racing inside of your chest has a warmth unlike any other spreading throughout his body.
Jongho is used to the feeling of electricity flowing beneath his skin, but nothing could have prepared him for what your touch, your kiss does to him. Now, he only craves more, but even he knows not to push you any further tonight than you’re willing to go.
“Thank you for waiting,” your own voice is soft, tone gentle as you shift slightly so that your body is leaning against his.
“Always.” He hums, grasping your hand in his once more and intertwining your fingers together.
A small silence settles over the both of you now, comfortable and warm. Fireflies begin to dance around the clearing and over your heads, twinkling like the stars above. Both of you are more than content to bask in the other’s presence for the moment.
The way you softly rest your head against his shoulder as you lean into him says it all.

I'll Protect You
Tumblr media
Na Jaemin x Male Reader
Tumblr media
"When I grow up, I'm gonna become tall and strong to protect Hyung!" Jasmin told the chubby elder, making a muscle on his scrawny arms. The 11 year old Y/N giggled, looking down at 6 year old Jaemin. "I'm gonna save you from everyone calling you fat!"
"Really?" Y/N asked. "I'll hold you to that."
The two had been best friends since Jaemin moved next door, always playing in the evening..
However, when they were 14 and 19, Jaemin moved away to become a Kpop trainee, and Y/N began studying to be a doctor. He had considerably slimmed down since 8 years ago, having to run around looking after his youngest sister. However, he had a long scar on his arm from a car accident, which many of his university classmates made fun off and led to him wearing long sleeves. His friends were Seora, Soohyun, Beomkyu and Shun. They stuck through with him since they'd started university.
"I heard that the Kpop gorup NCT DREAM are coming to uni this weekend!" Seora squealed, hanging on to Soohyun as the two girls fangirled.
"NCT?" Y/N didn't follow Kpop.
"Yeah!" Soohyun giggled. "Their names are Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung!"
"Wait- Jaemin- by any chance are you referring to Na Jaemin?"
"How do you know?"
"He was my childhood best friend." Y/N said. "We lost contact after he moved away."
"Maybe he'll recognize you." Shun suggested, and Y/N hit the tiny boy with his textbook.
"Pabo, he probably forgot about me." The boy said. "Anyway, even if he didn't, he wouldn't recognize me. I used to be so chubby."
Saturday came, and with it, NCT Dream. The 7 performed their last song, but Jasmin stopped in the middle. He'd spotted someone he'd searched every stadium for. He never imagined this.
And Y/N was in awe at how tall Jaemin had become. This, this was not the scrawny boy who'd left at fourteen. Yes, some called Y/N prodigy for going to medical school at 19. But to Y/N, Jasmin was the real prodigy. Now Y/N was the scrawny one.

"Y/N, one of the NCT members wants to meet you." Shun said excitedly, pointing to the auditorium. Y/N walked inside and was met with Jaemin, standing there in his normal clothes.
"Jaemin?" Now that he was up close, he could see how handsome Jaemin had become. And how tall.
"It's really you." Jasmin whispered.
"You grew so tall." Y/N smiled up at him.
"And you're short." Jasmin joked. "Have you been eating? You're like a skeleton."
"I haven't had time to eat since exam season started." Y/N confessed. "Just ended. Waiting for year end results."
"Come with me." Jaemin demanded. "Let's go out for lunch."
"Alright." Y/N grinned, taking Jaemins outstretched hand.

"Oi, scar!" Anne, a Chinese girl, called. "When did you get a boyfriend?"
"He's not my boyfriend." Y/N yelled back, then mumbled under his breath, "yet."
"What did you say?" Jaemin asked.
"Nothing." Y/N said quickly.
"No, hyung, you said something." Jaemin's aid cockily. "And I'm going to find out."
"I said you aren't my boyfriend yet." Y/N blushed.
"Well, now you are." Jaemin said, linking their arms. "Forever."
"What do you mean forever?" Y/N gasped playfully. "You mean we're not gonna grow up, get married and have 500 unicorns?"
"Shh, that never happened." Jaemin said, and it was his turn to happen. "That never happened years ago."
"Sure." Y/N said, smiling evilly. "Tell that to the one person yo said it to."
"Said what to?" It was Chenle, one of the members and Jaemin's friend.
"Oh, you didn't know?" Y/N smirked. "Your dear member here wanted to get married to me and have 500 unicorns, at some point in his life."
"Really?" Chenle was awestruck. "Wow, nice blackmail, I'm going to tell Jisung."

Y/N smiled softly as she watched the small and innocent face sleeping in her arms, she caressed the chubby pink cheek feeling her heart fill with love. This had been her routine for a while and she couldn't resist, making her son sleep in her arms was the most wonderful feeling in the world. Even though her throat closed up every time she watched how her son reminded him so much and every time she sighed as in addition to the love that surrounded her heart, an enormous sadness also consumed it. It's been an year. An eternity without hearing Jeno's laugh, without his cologne filling her nostrils, without feeling his touch, his kisses... A part of her blamed herself, she'd blocked any kind of contact she could have with him after the fight and the breakup—even though in Jeno's words, that wasn't the end of them—and of course the discovery of the pregnancy. She didn't want to know how happy he was away from her. Living life somewhere else as if everything they'd lived together hadn't mattered. But the other part screamed at her not to be selfish. Jeno had the perfect job opportunity, something he'd always been looking forward to since they'd met, moving to another city was in his plans and he'd gotten it. He couldn't miss that, even for her. Or for the son he didn't even know he had. Y/N shook her head to clear away all the dark clouds of memories she didn't want to relive, she promised to herself that the ghost of the past wouldn't haunt her again, for her son's sake. It didn't matter if she felt anxiety every time she thought about Jeno, like he was still around and was going to walk through the front door of her parents' house. So, slowly she put her son on the couch and covered him with the blanket that belonged to him, seeing that he just adjusted better and continued sleeping. She got up from the couch and started picking up the toys that Daejung had scattered on the rug. 6 months and he was already more agitated than ever, Y/N even laughed when she thought what would happen when he started walking. As soon as she put everything in the small chest, she was startled when the loud doorbell echoed throughout the house and instinctively she looked at Daejung, he shifted on the couch and Y/N ran to open the door before the doorbell rang again and woke up the baby. Only she knew how hard it was to get him to sleep and if he woke up now, in addition to being irritated, most likely he wouldn't sleep again. She opened the door, hoping it was her brother who'd forgotten the key.
"Don't ring that bell again-" She held up her finger but stopped midair when saw that it wasn't her brother. Much less her parents. Y/N felt her mouth open and her eyes fill with tears as her mind didn't accept the figure that was in front of her, not knowing what to say or how to do it, she just stood there staring at the last person she imagined knocking on the door from his parents' house at 4 pm. “Y/N.” it felt unreal to hear his voice again but the shiver that ran down her spine told her it was actually real. "I can enter?" “Jeno.” the voice was just a whisper and her breath hitched as if she'd just run a marathon. But it was just her heart beating too fast as she looked at the black haired boy. He was still the same one she remembered, hair a little longer but still the same, not that she ever thought she'd be able to forget him. She never could. “How… What are you?” she couldn't form a complete sentence, her brain seemed to have stopped working and Jeno looked at her with guilt and concern. "I needed to talk to you." he spoke softly and she shook her head, laughing. More of desperation. “Did it take a entire year for that?” she questioned and looked back, from where she was she couldn't see Daejung and she wanted to slam the door in Jeno's face but there was something that stopped her. “Do you really want to discuss this here?” he asked seriously and she was silent. No, but she also didn't know if she should let him in. Before she could answer, Daejung started crying and Y/N ignored Jeno and all the questions in her head and ran to her son. He was still sleeping on the couch, his eyes fighting sleep not knowing whether to stay open or closed and Y/N stroked between his mid eyebrow, a trick she'd found worked. "It's okay, my love." she spoke low. “Mom is here.” she saw him smile quickly and went back to sleep, breathing deeper and she stroked his head as heard footsteps. It was only then that she remembered Jeno was also there and felt her blood run cold, swallowing hard she looked up to face him and he looked at the scene completely confused. Jeno and Y/N remained with their eyes fixed on each other, it was almost as if they could talk telepathically like they used to, but this time there was a huge barrier separating them, the same barrier that prevented them from talking about anything. Silence in this case was the best answer, because Jeno didn't need to hear anything, it was very clear to him. Therefore, he approached the sofa while Y/N cringed, she just looked away to look at Daejung's serene figure and she felt her heart beat much faster and her body produce more saliva than usual, which made her swallow several times and Jeno looked at Daejung. "You could have told me." Jeno spoke softly and moved even closer to the couch, staying behind Y/N who was still sitting on the couch but she could feel Jeno's body heat and it intoxicated her. She shook her head, a disbelieving smile on her face. "It wouldn't have made a difference anyway." Y/N leaned on the sofa and got up, her legs already trembling as she felt that at any moment she would collapse, this caught Jeno's attention and he looked back at her. "You had other priorities." Y/N tried to leave, that approach with Jeno wouldn't do her any good, but anticipating what she would do, Jeno held her arm gently. She stopped and Jeno brought his body even closer to hers, their trunks now practically touching. “You were always my priority.” "Is that why you left?" she questioned, her eyes getting more and more full of tears, and let go of the arm that Jeno was holding. His arm dropped unwillingly to his side. "There are no excuses, Jeno." “Do you want to talk about excuses with me?” he pointed against his chest and glanced at Daejung. “What about him? You hid my son from me!” Jeno's words, even though they were loaded with hurt, made Y/N go silent. Hearing them from him was worse than she'd thought. She hadn't hidden it because she wanted to, she had to do it even though she knew it wasn't right. "How do you know he's yours?" she asked and saw Jeno smirk. "The heart never lies, isn't that what you always told me?" he shrugged and Y/N felt her jaw drop. Did he still remember? "And because I believed you when you told me you were mine." Jeno cut the rest of the space that separated them, making the bodies finally meet, and brought his hand to her chin, making her lift her head and look him in the eyes. "I'm not that innocent little girl who thought she was going to have her fairy tale with you anymore." she raised an eyebrow, trying to sound steady but her voice failed in the end. "Isn't that what we have here?" he pointed with his other hand at Daejung and she hesitated for a moment. "And I'm seeing that you're not a little girl anymore." Jeno looked at her from head to toe, causing a shiver to run through Y/N's entire body. “Do you think flirting with me will change anything after all this time?” Yes, her body screamed. Jeno cocked his head, his eyes were smiling playfully and it was almost as if he was taking it as a challenge. "Is that what you want? Tell me, I do.” Y/N got lost in the intensity of Jeno's dark eyes, it had been so long and even after feeling so much resentment, so much anger at having felt abandoned, her body still reacted the same way. Hands sweating, eyes blinking too much. By God, she even looked like that fifteen-year-old girl who'd confessed to him that she was in love. But reality reminded her that she wasn't that anymore, so she put her hand on Jeno's wrist that was still touching her and lowered her head. “Leave, Jeno.” she asked, uncertainly. The texture of his skin was still exactly the way her fingertips remembered it. “Are you sure this is what you want?” he asked in a soft voice and that only made Y/N even more confused. In response, she just nodded, still avoiding looking him in the eye. Without hearing her voice, Jeno leaned the foreheads together and the hand that held her chin went to her cheek and covered her with the warmth she had been missing for so long, Y/N even felt a shiver on the back of her neck when Jeno's fingers touched that place unintentionally. "Then look into my eyes." even though he had ordered it, Jeno's voice was so calm that Y/N couldn't resist the will of her own body and do what he asked and her legs wobbled, he was too close and it was the perfect opportunity to dive into the immensity of dark eyes . "Tell me it's too late and I swear I'll be gone forever, you'll never see me again." Y/N remained silent, as much as she was angry and upset, that wasn't what her heart wanted. She had suffered for many months for the lack of Jeno's presence but she was aware that she would never be able to live without him. But she still couldn't step on her pride and simply allow them to go back to what they had before, she had never been in such a difficult conflict and the way Jeno was staring at her so intensely wasn't helping her body to hold on.  She always thought Jeno's eyes spoke a lot more than he ever did and always managed to find all the answers there. And as in the past, she saw that he was sincere. She could see the pain he felt as well as she did, as if his eyes were a mirror reflecting her own anguish, her own sadness but also her hope. As if the world was spinning very slowly, Jeno brought his lips closer and captured them with a passion held for months and miles that separated them, Y/N felt her entire body tremble and heat at the same time, heart practically jumping out of her mouth with that surprised, quick touch. "You can't think that just one kiss will make me-" she started to speak when he pulled away enough but was silenced instantly, Jeno this time kept his lips together and she only closed her eyes when she saw him he did it first, surrendering to the longing he felt. Jeno's free hand grabbed her by the waist and brought her closer, Y/N felt her body collide with Jeno's and she placed both hands on his chest to balance herself as she sighed against his lips. Jeno's lips were warm and tender just as she remembered, even with the feeling of discovering themselves for the first time, he knew exactly what to do to leave her practically swooning in his arms. That was why he used his tongue with agility so that Y/N didn't have time to think about anything but opening her mouth and allowing the tastes to mingle. The kiss, while slow and sweet, was also reconnecting them again with how they felt about each other. As if all the barriers, all the uncertainties and the lack of communication had turned to dust. Jeno felt his chest hurt so hard it made Y/N stay there but he didn't care, Y/N grunted as his hand went to the back of her neck and held her tight as she tilted her head to the side and deepened the kiss even more. But all the heat that Jeno's body emanated and found with her own, plus the way his tongue played with hers, made her lose strength in her legs and her breathing much faster than she wanted and she had to force her hands against his chest, more defined than she remembered it, to pull away. The foreheads met again as did the heavy breathing, noses touching softly and when Y/N opened her eyes and saw Jeno's swollen red mouth she forgot what had made her pull away. To be honest, would she have the strength for it? "Forgive me." he said, opening his eyes and Y/N frowned, confused. “For leaving without you, not knowing what you were going through. I always felt there was something holding me to you besides the love I felt but I didn't know what it was." Y/N smiled weakly. "It was your dream, I would never ask you to stay and live a life you weren't ready for." she replied, looking away and her fingers started playing with Jeno's shirt. “I always wanted to have a family with you.” he snapped, making no move to release her. He couldn't even do that now. “But not without planning.” Y/N remembered the plans she and Jeno had made in the past, he would get the dream job and take her with him, after he was stable, they would find a better place to live and have two kids. But fate decided to advance everything. Jeno got the job in another city too quickly at the same time Y/N found out she was pregnant, not wanting to destroy Jeno's plans she simply didn't tell him about the pregnancy and stayed in town, letting Jeno believe she would wait for him. And well, she did. Along with Daejung, badly missing him. But she never said anything about her son, or let anyone know that the baby was Jeno's because she knew it would make him go back and leave everything he'd conquered, she'd feel guilty and he'd feel pressured. "Everything I had planned, every dream I had has become meaningless without you." Y/N stared at him, feeling the tears come back. “I confess I was upset when you said we'd better break up and when I asked you to wait for me because I'd be back, it was a promise. I didn't want to leave you but I had to. I understood why you didn't want to keep in touch when I left, but it was like I left a huge part of myself with you. I didn't even feel complete, and after so much time focusing on my work I realized that being there without you wasn't what I wanted, so I came back earlier to try to convince you that I didn't run away." Jeno smiled sideways and the fingers still firm on Y/N's waist began to make a slow caress. "But I was a little surprised when my parents told me they hadn't seen you in almost an year." “As hard as it was, I knew that if your parents knew, you would eventually find out. So when my belly really grew, close to being born, and a little later I hid from everyone.” she confessed and Jeno took his other hand to cover hers which was still playing with the fabric of the shirt he was wearing. "And would it have been so bad?” Y/N laughed through her nose and shook her head. “I knew you'd be back right away, I just…” she shrugged and Jeno encouraged her to continue. "I didn't want you to give up everything for us and end up regretting it later." Jeno looked at her with compassion and brought her face closer so he could place a lingering kiss on her forehead, Y/N just closed her eyes at the contact. “The only thing I regret was wasting all this time.” she opened her eyes and saw Jeno staring at Daejung with a twinkle in his eye, one she rarely ever saw. "Having missed your growing belly, the birth of my son, the nights with him. Forgive me for not being here when you needed me the most, for not holding your hand on the nights you were alone." Y/N didn't even notice the tears starting to run down her face, she only felt it when Jeno stared at her cheeks and reached for his hand to wipe them away. She felt her heart warm, as if she were melting all the ice she had built up during the time Jeno had been away, and she saw how sorry Jeno was. He practically begged. “I’m the one who must ask for your forgiveness.” Jeno shook his head, as if he said it wasn't necessary, but for Y/N it was. “I hid it from you because I was afraid. From everything, from everyone.” Jeno didn't let her continue and hugged her tight, practically crushing her against his body, but when he felt Y/N relax as she just brought her hands to the back of his neck and played with his hair, he could relax too. He didn't need to listen to her explanations because he understood, he didn't want to relive the wounds left in the past, he just wanted to convince her that he was back to fight. Fight for their love, fight for her and with her. “Who knew that the couple who talked the most during high school would break up just because of lack of communication.” Y/N spoke and laughed against Jeno's skin, making him smile, more at the memory. "I promise you this will never happen again." Jeno pulled back far enough that he could look Y/N in the eye, steady and intense in the way it always was with him. "If you'll let me, if you'll forgive me, I'll take care of both of you." Y/N didn't need Jeno to say anything else, she saw it in his eyes that it was true. Unlike the day when she really thought they were over, when she didn't have the courage to look him in the eye, now she believed. The eyes are the door to the heart, they say, and she could see Jeno's there. It was sincere, pure, hard to resist. And the truth was, she didn't want to resist. Because in all her dreams it was that moment when they arrived, when they stayed together, when they fought together. She could never ignore what she felt for Jeno, it was too strong and the bond they had would be eternal. Daejung bound them for all eternity. “Of course. I love you, Lee Jeno. More than before.” she saw Jeno smile broadly. "I love you and I'll be here forever." he promised. And she knew he would keep that promise, just like all the others.

Forgive Me Daddy | Lee Jeno
Pairing: Lee Jeno x Reader
Summary: You come home late and miss your baby’s first Christmas. Your husband Jeno is furious.
Genre: Domestic AU, new parents AU, Christmas special🌲
Word Count: 0.7k
Gif: @leejenos-archive
Tumblr media
"I'm sorry I'm late!"
You rushed into the kitchen, kicking off your winter boots. It was 4PM on Christmas Day. You were meant to make it back for lunch hours ago.
The smell of roast turkey flooded your senses. The kitchen was decorated with paper snowflakes that must have taken hours to cut, a banner saying 'baby's first Christmas', even old photos of you and Jeno kissing in the snow.
Jeno had put in a lot of effort for this lunch. Your chest squeezed with guilt at missing it.
Jeno was sitting at the head of the table. Despite his puppy-dog-brown hair and cute Christmas apron, his expression was stormy. Your one-year-old son Max chewed on a Christmas cracker in his highchair.
You sat down, rubbing your frozen hands together. “Let’s eat!”
You leant over to give Jeno a kiss, but he turned his head away, scowling.
"You're late - on Christmas day," he snapped, his voice breaking with pain.
You frowned. "Oh... you know how busy the hospital is around the holidays."
Jeno's eyes slipped shut. "You could have texted. This is our son’s first Christmas - don’t you care about that?" He gulped. "About us?"
You shrugged. "Oh, don't be dramatic. Max isn’t even going to remember this!"
Jeno stood up, the chair screaming. "I'm not hungry anymore," he said, storming out of the kitchen. The bedroom door slammed shut.
You picked up your son and held him to your chest. "You're not mad at me, are you, bubba? You know I love you."
The baby babbled and smiled a chubby pink smile. Your eyes welled with tears. Already, Max was the spitting image of his father, with his shiny eyes and broad nose.
“Why is daddy always so angry?” you asked your son, the tears flowing freely now. "He hasn't kissed me for weeks... we barely talk."
As if he sensed your pain, little Max nuzzled his cheek into your skin, silently saying, mommy don’t cry.
"Why doesn't daddy love me anymore?" you said, between sobs.
"You think I don't love you anymore?"
You jolted at the sound of Jeno's voice.
You turned to see him leaning against the door frame, watching you. Even in his stupid Christmas jumper, he looked as handsome as the day you married him. You hated fighting.
"H-how long have you been standing there?" you asked.
"Long enough," Jeno said, walking towards you.
He wrapped his strong arms around you and the baby in a tight hug. You'd never felt so safe.
Jeno kissed Max on the forehead. Then he looked up, and suddenly you were staring into each other’s eyes. The moment wobbled, taking you off guard.
Jeno’s voice quivered with quiet passion. "I will never stop loving you, Y/n. You just... need to be around more."
You smiled weakly. “I know.”
“Also…,” Jeno began, cheeks darkening. “I’d… quite like another little one soon, so… I need you around for that. Especially since making Maxie was so fun." He waggled his eyebrows at you, making you laugh.
Shuffling out of Jeno's embrace, you placed the baby down into his highchair. Then you pulled your husband into your arms.
“I’m… sorry for ruining Christmas.”
Jeno shook his head, smiling. “You didn’t. I can put the turkey back in the oven.”
You smoothed your hands over his broad shoulders. "You're my man, Jen, I'll give you anything you want."
Jeno hummed appreciatively. "Right now… I want a kiss." That mischievous twinkle had returned to his black eyes.
"That I can do," you said, smirking.
Your hand found his jaw as you brought your mouth onto his. It was a lazy, lovedrunk kiss. You could feel the heat sighing from his muscled body, you could taste the mulled wine on his tongue.
"Kiss!"
You and Jeno jumped apart, eyes wide.
You turned to the highchair where Max was sat. The baby was staring at the two of you, brown eyes shiny and bright.
"Did he just say...?" Jeno gasped.
"Kiss!" Max cried, clapping his hands together. "Kiss!"
"Maxie just said his first word!" you cried, picking up your son and squeezing him tight. “On Christmas day too? How perfect!”
"He was watching us this whole time?" Jeno said, chuckling. "Thank god we weren't doing something else, or this would have been a disaster!"

Summer '78
Tumblr media
Pairing | bully!Jeno x chubby!Reader
Warning(s) | bullying, harsh words, cussing, sexual assault, name calling, fat shaming, poor shaming, face slapping, angst, hurtful comments, yelling, the Dreamies are not nice people (I know I did Jaemin wrong, I'm sorry)
Synopsis | Jeno was a bully, and you were his primary victim. Nothing should have changed, but Jeno began getting tired of bullying the girl he was in love with simply because she didn't conform to societies beauty standards. So she was chubby? So what?! His friends didn't see it that was.
Genre | ANGST, retro-flashback
Author’s Notes | So I wrote this a while back for an event of NCTA, which was basically writing a retro fic. This fic is very different than the fics I usually write. For one, it is told in Jeno's perspective rather than the readers. For two, this is a "chubby fic." Meaning the reader is seen in the fic as having a larger body weight, which, may I add here, is not a problem, nor should it ever be. If you are being bullied for anything, please don't let it go unreported. Report it as many times as you have to because bullying is not ok, whether it's done at school, at home, or anywhere else. Also, there is a possibility that there will be a part two, I have had some people (before posting it here) request a part two but I'm on the fence about that, but perhaps a part two will show some change and growth on Jeno's part. So we'll see. Tell me your opinions though! I hope you enjoy~

A group of six boys sat around a table talking and laughing until a loud crash resounded through the snack shack that brought their attention to a waitress on the floor, yellow heels scattered behind her, empty tray in her hands and spilled drinks everywhere as well as on a girl by the table the waitress had fallen at.
“Clutz,” one of the boys, Jeno, mumbled, shaking his head.
“Fatass,” Jeno’s best friend, Jaemin responded.
The other four muttered something along the lines of agreement as they watched the waitress cowering on the floor with a bright red face as the girl now covered in cola shrieked about her ruined clothing and hair.
Jaemin got up from his seat angrily.
“What the hell are you doing to my girlfriend!” he yelled, approaching the pair.
“Jaeminnie! She poured soda all over me!” the girl pouted, running into Jaemins arms.
Jeno rolled his eyes.
Jeno shook his head. Out of all of the boys in their biker gang, Jaemin just had to be the most gullible, falling for the Queen Bee of the high school who used him for nothing more than his money and face.
“She ruined my shirt,” Jeno heard the girl whine.
Jaemin embraced her tighter.
“You’ll have to pay for her clothing, fatty!” Jaemin demanded.
The waitress was someone Jeno recognized. (Y/F/N) (Y/L/N). She had been one of his best friends when he was a shy ten year old trying to fit in. They both befriended Jaemin and the rest of their group and somewhere along the way, he’d gotten muscular and tall while she’d gotten chubby. With Jeno’s looks, he’d always been popular with girls, but when he became interested in them as more than friends, he’d dumped the girl in favor of girlfriends.
She was a bullied girl wearing outdated clothing that made adequate grades. A nobody. She didn’t fit into any groups. She drifted through high school being shoved against lockers while her books were thrown across the hallway and what little lunch money she had was stolen. More often than not, Jeno or one of the other guys was the perpetrator.
“I can’t…” (y/n) muttered, looking down at the floor.
Jaemin kicked the carrying tray away from her, making the girl flinch.
Something in Jeno’s heart snapped against his chest, but he’d never allow it to escape. He watched tears gather in the corner of the girl's eyes and Jeno fought the urge to pull her to his chest.
Feelings began to stir their first year in high school when he and (y/n) had been seated side-by-side in homeroom and he’d leaned over to tease her about her recent, awkwardly styled hair when he’d met the most beautiful eyes he’d ever seen.
The feelings made his stomach twist in knots and his body tingled. Feelings and sensations that only grew stronger when their skin brushed or when her angelic voice met his ears.
The feelings were what drove him to brash treatment. His hands shoving her shoulders against the lockers as he demanded for her money. Fingers harshly tugging at the ends of her hair. His voice yelling horrible things at her just to hear her speak back.
He couldn’t tell anyone how he was feeling either. Dating the chubby girl would cause him to lose whatever popularity he had obtained along with his pride and his gang. Their leader couldn’t be seen as the weak punk who decided to date the chubby girl from a poor family.
Jaemin sneered down at the blushing girl, taunting her loudly and Jeno watched her feeble attempt at hiding her face.
“Jaemin! Let’s go. Chubby over here isn’t worth our time,” Jeno called loudly, voice filled with authority that had Jaemin immediately moving away from the girl.
“Fine. But she owes us free meals for a week! Those clothes were expensive!” Jaemin whined.
He kissed his girlfriend's cheek and walked to the door to wait on the rest of the gang who were stuffing their last few fries in their mouths or finishing off their milkshakes.
“Let’s roll,” Jaemin called, a grin on his face.
Jeno shook his head at how fast the male changed perspectives. He grabbed his leather jacket off the back of his chair, sliding his arms into it and let it snap against his back.
The last few members finished their plates, leaving them on the table before grabbing their own jackets and following Jaemin out the door. Jeno took the end, stopping by the waitress on the floor.
“Maybe get some heels your fat feet can walk in, huh Dollface?” he sneered.
Her face flew red again and he rolled his eyes.
“And you should stop blushing. You look like a tomato. Vegetables aren’t attractive. Although it’s fitting. Tomatoes are plump.”
He walked out the door without another word, heart hammering painfully in his ears. He wanted to tell her how beautiful she was, but that was a problem. He couldn’t think chubby girls were beautiful. What would his friends think?
The loud purr of an engine met his ears and he sighed happily, most of his regret getting washed away, uprooted by the smell of motor oil and tires.
Jeno’s ride was a cherry red 1960 Harley-Davidson motorcycle with shiny silver wheels that didn’t match the rusted gas tank or muffler that Jeno was now saving to restore among other things. The black leather seat was slightly cracked from wear over the years and the breaks didn’t always work great. His headlight needed a new spark plug and the oil line leaked. Still, with all of these issues, he loved his bike. Each new issue gave him something to work on at night in his father's tiny little garage when all he wanted was grease on his chest and a wrench in his hand.
“Let’s go Jeno! I wanna ride!” Donghyuck moaned from his spot on his own bike, revving the engine with his right hand.
Jeno rolled his eyes at Donghyuck’s whining. Out of all of them, he was the one that loved traveling the most. They’d gone all the way up the coast the day they’d let Donghyuck lead them.
Jeno nodded and threw his leg over his bike, kicking the kick start lever and sighing happily as the bike roared to life beneath him. He pushed off his kickstand and allowed it to roll forward.
“Let’s go!” he called.
He rolled to the front of the group before revving the engine and turning onto the main road leaving the beachside snack shack behind.
~
When Jeno pulled into the driveway of his house, he parked his motorcycle beside his elder brother's black and gold Harley, letting the kickstand rest against the dirt driveway and dismounted..
He made his way into the house where his older brother, Jaehyun, was sitting alone in the living room flipping through channels.
Jeno’s heart hurt. All through the ride, he thought about (y/n) and the pained look in her eyes every time someone teased her. He knew it wasn’t right to bully her, especially for something as shallow as her weight or her clothes, but when the girls Jeno dated began mocking her, Jeno joined in, and pretty soon, she was alone. It hurt that Jeno could have stopped it. He could have kept her as a friend instead of ditching her, and now, here he was, hopelessly in love with the girl he bullied and too afraid to stand up to his friends out of fear that they would dump him.
“I have a problem,” he groaned, flopping down on the couch.
Jaehyun turned the small box television off and turned his attention to Jeno. Jeno rolled his head back on the plush green sofa and sighed.
“There’s this girl I like…” he started.
Jaehyun groaned in disinterest.
“So tell her. Not like you can’t get any girl. I heard you’re one of the kings of your class,” he replied.
Jeno whined. It was true. He could virtually have anyone he wanted, yet the one person he couldn’t have was the one he desired.
“I can’t. My friends wouldn’t approve and she’d never go for me… not after everything I’ve done,” he muttered hopelessly.
“Why do you care so much what your punk friends think? Do what you want, not what they want you to do.”
Jeno sighed. It wasn’t that easy and Jaehyun should know that.
“She’d never go out with me anyway and I can never tell her!” Jeno whined, hoping his brother would understand.
He was far too ashamed to come out and say exactly why she wouldn’t. “There’s girls that don’t like you?” Jaehyun asked, clearly shocked.
Jeno nodded sullenly.
“Just one…”
That seemed to make the links click in Jaehyun’s mind and Jeno wasn’t sure if that was a good or bad thing.
“You don’t mean you like the poor girl you always bully, do you?”
So Jaehyun knew about that. No wonder his brother had grown distant since Jeno had started high school.
“Um… yes…” he mumbled.
Jaehyun shuffled around on the beige chair he was sitting on before one of his dirty socks was being chucked at Jeno’s head.
“Hey!” Jeno snapped.
“You don’t treat people like that! You and your friends are assholes! That poor girl won’t forgive you for what you’ve done to her!” Jaehyun yelled.
Jeno wanted to yell back, but he knew Jaehyun was right. He was an asshole.
“What do I do to get her to like me… I don’t know how to stop this mess…” he mumbled. Jaehyun groaned and grabbed the large remote, flipping the television back on.
“You make things right. Stop bullying the girl and apologize like you mean it. Even then, it may be too late,” Jaehyun answered before his attention was back into the heavy box television.
Jeno sighed. He knew his brother was right.
~
The next afternoon, Jeno pulled his motorcycle into the parking lot of the snack shack, parking alongside Jisungs rusting brown one he refused to let Jaemin or Jeno strip and repaint.
Jeno dismounted and walked into the shack. His friends were crowded around their usual table, talking loudly.
Jeno walked over to the table and slid into the booth beside Renjun.
“What’d I miss?” he asked.
Jaemin was cackling and fishing ice out of his soda glass.
“(y/n) is on our table today!” he smirked.
Jeno’s heart dropped. That meant they’d be extra cruel to her today and Jeno really couldn’t do anything to tell her or his friends how he felt. The universe must really hate him.
Jaemin got the ice out of his cola glass and held it in his palm, his faze shifting to where (y/n) was shuffling around in her red striped shirt and black pants, wearing those same yellow heels.
“What are you gonna-”
Jeno was cut off as Jaemin smirked and launched the ice cube across the table, getting enough air to fly across the room until it dived down into the low cut v-line of (y/n)’s striped shirt.
“Yes! 10 points!” Jaemin cheered loudly.
(y/n) squeaked at the sudden intrusion of ice, a sound that Jeno found oddly adorable, even if it wasn’t a good kind of squeak.
Her face flamed red and she hurried back to put her notepad down on the chef’s counter before moving back to their table.
“Can I get you guys anything else?” she asked, her voice having gone up an octave from embarrassment.
“I want a chocolate milkshake,” Renjun answered.
(y/n) jotted it down and moved to look at the rest.
“I want a burger that’s charred on one side, but not too charred. Don’t bring me burnt meat or I’ll make your fatass eat it,” Jaemin said.
Jeno sighed at his friend, shaking his head subtly.
“I want a burger with a dollop of ketchup and three pickles. Don’t you dare give me any more or less than three pickles,” Donghyuck ordered.
Jeno rolled his eyes. Donghyuck didn’t even like pickles.
She glanced at Jisung and Chenle, both who were contently sipping their cola’s and completely ignoring her existence, so, after scribbling down everyone else’s orders, she turned her eyes to Jeno.
“Coke with ten pieces of ice and a burger.”
(y/n) nodded, writing all of the information down and shuffled off to the counter again.
“Do we really have to be that mean to her? She looked like she was going to cry,” Renjun muttered.
Jaemin rolled his eyes.
Jeno nodded in agreement to Renjun. Her face was sullen and her eyes glistened with tears that hadn’t fallen. His heart sank at the thought that maybe something had happened at home or that their words had finally gotten to her. In all the time they’d been bullying her, she never once said anything much to them, and they’d never seen her cry.
“Do you think we should lay off her?” he suggested.
Donghyuck and Jaemin snorted at the same time.
“Why would we do that?” Donghyuck asked.
Jeno shook his head. His friends could be such assholes sometimes. They wouldn’t even stop for someone that seems to be almost crying, they just use it to play more games. More buttons to press.
“If you’re so worried, Jeno, go check on her,” Chenle challenged.
“Yeah, go check on her!” Jaemin cackled.
Jeno shook his head and sighed, getting out of the booth. He knew very well what they expected him to do, or at least, what they wanted him to do, but he didn’t know if he could take calling her names anymore. Not when it felt like his soul was screaming at him not to.
He didn’t have much of a choice as he made his way over to her, however. He couldn’t control what his friends wanted and what he was obligated to give.
He moved up behind her and while her back was turned, he brought his hand down hard on her butt as his friends cackled loudly from their table. Jeno’s ears burned in embarrassment and guilt. If his mother knew what he’d just done, she’d be dragging him out of the snack shack by his ear.
He didn’t really know what to expect from (y/n). What he didn’t expect however, was her body whirling around rapidly, her hand raising angrily, and the sharp stinging sensation across his cheek.
“YOU HAVE NO RIGHT! I HAVE DONE NOTHING TO YOU, AND YET ALL YOU ARE YOUR ASSHOLE BUDDIES WANNA DO IS BULLY ME! WELL PISS OFF! I DON’T NEED THIS!” she screamed.
Jeno’s eyes widened. This was new…
“YOU ARE A BUNCH OF PUNKASS BOYS WITH NOTHING BETTER TO DO, BUT I SWEAR THE NEXT TIME I HEAR A COMMENT ABOUT MY WEIGHT, CLOTHES, OR HAIR, OR ANYONE TOUCHEs ME, I WILL SHOVE MY FAT FOOT UP YOUR BUTTHOLE!” she screamed angrily.
The cackling from the table had stopped as the boys gaped at their waitress in shock.
“AND YOU IDIOTS CAN GET YOUR OWN DAMN BURGERS!”
The snack shack had gone deathly quiet. Jeno stood as still as a statue, face still stinging, but not quite as painful now. The outburst from this usually quiet and reserved girl shocked him to his very core, but it also made him feel worse. Sure, the ice throwing, name calling, and excessively stupid orders had added fuel to the fire, but it was Jeno’s action that had thrown her over the edge.
“I-I’m… sorry…” he stammered out.
“DON’T SAY SORRY TO ME AFTER THE HELL YOU’VE PUT ME THROUGH!” she screamed.
Jeno’s heart pounded in his chest and his eyes gazed at her fearfully.
“I think it’s time you go home, (y/n), calm down and come back tomorrow,” the owner of the snack shack said, walking out of his office.
(y/n) nodded and let out a sniffle. Jeno didn’t know when she’d started crying. She grabbed the bag the owner handed her before running out of the shack.
“And you, young man. You and your boys get out of my shack. You’re all banned for a week. Come back in here acting like that and you’ll be banned permanently,” he said, eyes fixed angrily on Jeno.
Jeno turned to look back at his gang and sighed, waving a hand for them all to follow.
~
After the incident, Jeno hadn’t felt much like going on a ride with the rest of the gang. They were all perfectly fine, cackling and talking about the outburst, but Jeno couldn’t stomach it. The way she’d screamed. How upset she’d looked. He was done being a bully. Now he just needed to figure out how to go from bully to courting her, if that were even possible.
He parked his bike beside Jaehyun’s again, happy to see his brother was home and not at the rusty body shop he worked at.
He ran into the house, taking the front steps two at a time, and when he was inside, he made his way to the room he shared with Jaehyun.
“I need to borrow your boombox!” he yelled at the male.
Jaehyun, clearly not expecting the sudden intrusion, jumped off the small bed, stuffing the adult rated magazine he’d been “reading” under his mattress. Jeno rolled his eyes. He didn’t have time to find ways to ruin Jaehyun’s relationship with his girlfriend or rat him out to their mother.
“I. need. Your. boom. Box!” he enunciated.
Jaehyun stared at him incredulously.
“Uh… Why?” he asked.
Jeno shook his head angrily and shoved past Jaehyun to siffle through his side of the room searching for the large, heavy, cassette playing boombox his brother had bought a month ago.
“I need it to fix my (y/n) situation!” Jeno explained as he searched.
Jaehyun groaned.
“Movies aren’t real! That won’t work!”
Jeno ignored him. The guy always showed up at the window of the girl he was hoping to impress and the girl always forgave him. It’d work. It had to.
Jeno grabbed the large boombox from beneath Jaehyun’s bed, groaning at the weight. He heard Jaehyun sigh.
“Good luck then.”
Jeno didn’t need it. This would work. It had to work.
~
The ride to (y/n)’s house had proven to be a bit difficult as he struggled to hold the boombox against him. The box was large and heavy, with a small cassette player at the top that already had his chosen tape resting inside it.
The trip over was one of many stops and repositionings in an attempt not to drop the box that could very well make everything alright. He could just imagine her grinning in glee and running down to meet him, forgiving him for everything he’d ever done to hurt her.
By the time he got to her house, dusk was falling. He had maybe ten minutes before darkness engulfed the sky. Ten minutes in which he’d be tasked with making everything better.
He moved around the side of the common two story house and found (y/n)’s window easily. She appeared to be dancing to the music playing from the vinyl record player he could almost see perched by the window. It brought a smile to his lips. She looked so happy and carefree.
He could watch her all night, but he was here for a reason. He had to apologize for everything he’d ever done and confess.
He found a rock likely from her driveway by her window in the grass and picked it up. It was only one so he had to make it count.
He pressed play on the cassette player portion of the boombox and ‘It’s sad to belong’ came flowing out melodically from the speakers.
”Met you on a springtime day,”
He threw the rock hard against her window, flinching as he heard the rock bounce off. He was surprised it hadn’t broken the window.
”You were mindin’ your life and I was mindin’ mine too. The window opened and Jeno’s heart hammered in his chest.
“(y/f/n) (y/l/n)! I am so in love with you it hurts. I am so sorry for everything I’ve ever done to hurt you! All the bullying. All the teasing. I’m so sorry. You’re not fat or ugly! You’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen! I just couldn’t show it! But I don’t care what my friends think! I love you! I want to be with you! I want to court you! Please forgive me!” he pleaded, not giving the girl a chance to say anything.
When he finished speaking, the song was nearing an end and his body was shaking. The girl looked almost close to tears again and Jeno grew hopeful that in any second, she’d run downstairs and jump into his arms.
“Yes it’s sad to belong to someone else when the right one comes along.”
“You love me huh? Well you have a funny way of showing it,” she sneered.
The window slammed shut and the drapes were immediately dropped, leaving Jeno alone in the darkness of the evening, his hopes dashed across the grass.
He’d waited too long to apologize.

D-1 Hybridverse
Tumblr media
Genre: fluff Words: 1.049 Prompt: samoyed hybrid Jeno x female reader Warnings: none
A/N: Day six of Jeno’s birthday celebration! I mean technically it's already his birthday in korea but we're going with my timezone because time math is exhausting. Anyways. Happy birthday to the man who sneaked his way into my heart and simply won't leave.
previous< | Jeno birth celebration | >next
Tumblr media
“Pups…” You softly called into the room Haneul and Aerum were sharing. “Hey,” you smiled when you saw your son slowly blinking his eyes open. “Morning, Mommy,” he yawned, pulling his blanket tighter around himself, a small smile on his face. “Good morning, baby boy,” you greeted him back, pressing a quick kiss to his forehead and ruffling his bed hair before you sat down on his sister’s bed, gently tickling her body beneath the blanket. “Get up, sleepyhead. Come on,” you laughed when you felt her squirm around and her soft giggling reached your ears, “Let’s get up so we can make breakfast for Daddy.” “Is it time?” Haneul asked, his eyes wide as he trotted over to squish himself into your side. “It’s Daddy’s birthday today,” you confirmed, pressing another kiss to your son’s forehead. “Come on, Aerum, we need to prepare!” He immediately perked up, shaking his still cocooned sister until she started to struggle and kick at the blanket. “Shut up, you’re so annoying,” she whined, finally showing her impressive bed hair, her big white Samoyed ears standing out strong against the dark color of her hair.
“Hey, no arguing,” you scolded your pouting children, “We have a mission to get done.” “Breakfast!” Aerum exclaimed, quickly shedding the rest of her blanket to expose her stark white tail as well that was wagging wildly as she flung herself into your arms. “Yes, baby,” you laughed, cradling the toddler to your chest. “I prepared some stuff already, so we can get started right after you’ve gone to wash up, okay? But you gotta be quiet or Daddy will wake up.” “I can be quiet,” Haneul immediately assured you, his voice barely audible. “I know, baby,” you smiled, getting up and holding out your hand that you didn’t need to secure Areum to your chest for him to grab, “Let’s go get you washed up and dressed and then we’ll make some pancakes and maybe some eggs if you want to.” “Can we make small sausages as well?” Your son asked with big puppy eyes that he had perfected for years already. “Yes, we can,” you immediately gave in, squeezing his small hand to see him smile that smile you adored so much on his dad but even more when it stretched your son’s chubby cheeks.
Making breakfast in a quiet manner with a five-year-old and a three-year-old turned out to be harder than you had thought it would be. Especially if your three-year-old was being extra clingy and your five-year-old had already too much excess energy after emptying his cup of milk. “Sshh,” you scolded Haneul for the umpteenth time when he was laughing loudly at how he was decorating the pancakes for his dad. There was absolutely no way Jeno wasn’t awake at this point with his superior hearing but you hoped that he’d just stay in bed and would act surprised when your kids would go to wake him up. “Mommy?” “What is it, baby?” “Can we go wake up Daddy already? Wanna show him my drawing,” Aerum asked quietly from her spot on the counter where she was attentively watching you flip the pancakes over, adorably reminding you whenever the batter started to bubble that you needed to flip it over or it would burn. “You think it’s time?” You smiled, taking a peek at the pile of pancakes you had already made and the small sausages in the other pan. Your daughter just nodded enthusiastically, holding out her arms so you could help her down from the counter. “Okay, go grab your brother and your presents. I’ll meet you at the door.” Watching your babies running off as quietly as a toddler and a small child could while holding their tiny hands and with their white tails wagging behind them absolutely warmed your heart. Smiling to yourself, you placed the last pancake onto the stack and plated the small sausages Haneul had insisted on making before you turned on the coffee machine for a much-needed cup of hot coffee.
Tumblr media
You were pretty sure this would be the highlight of your day, if not the whole month: Both Haneul and Aerum were staring at the closed door of your bedroom with wildly wagging tails and their artworks clutched in their small hands. It was so adorable you had to hold in your urge to coo at them and squish their baby cheeks. Your phone at the ready and recording a video for safekeeping, you carefully opened the door, revealing your seemingly asleep husband but his twitching ears and the smile on his face already gave him away. But those signs of course went way over your pups’ heads as they bolted into the room, screaming happy birthday and jumping onto their father. “You scared me!” Jeno exclaimed loudly, teasingly tickling his giggling babies. “Happy birthday Daddy!” Haneul simply screamed again, pulling out the last syllable as his voice climbed up into a little howl that he was working so hard on until it would be perfect. “Happy birthday!” His sister joined in, her ability to howl not as polished as her brothers was. But to make up for it, she threw her little arms around her Daddy’s neck to hug him tightly. “Thank you, baby,” he smiled brightly, his eyes curling into crescents as he pressed kisses to whichever part of her head he could reach, reveling in her little giggles. “Where’s your Mommy, huh?” “Here,” you smiled, turning off the recording to walk up to the bed as well. “Happy birthday, love.” “Eeeew!” Haneul screeched when you leaned down to press a sweet kiss to your husband’s lips. “You little demon, watch it or you get all the kisses as well,” you laughed, climbing onto the bed as well to catch a squirming Haneul in your arms, pressing a very loud kiss to his cheek. “Me too, me too,” Aerum demanded, earning herself a big smooch from her father. Happily laughing, Jeno lovingly nuzzled against her until she joined in, bonking her head against his. “Now where are my presents?” He laughed, grabbing his babies so they both could sit on his lap, explaining their drawings to him with bright eyes and widely gesturing hands, their tails softly thumping against the mattress.

First kiss
PAIRING: Jeno x reader
Tumblr media
You were continuously stirring on your bed, turning side to side as you tried to find a comfortable position to sleep in. In the midst of your struggle, you hear your phone ring loudly. You scrunch your face in confusion, as to why someone would call you at this hour.
You reach out for your phone only to see your best friend Jeno calling you. 'Seriously? At the a*s crack of dawn?' You thought to yourself as you answered his call.
"It's too early to call, don't you thi-" "Can you come up? To the rooftop? I want to show you something." Jeno immediately cuts you off. "Fine" You huff, as you disconnect the call and lazily get up from your bed. You slip into your hoodie and go upstairs.
You see him standing near the railing, staring at the sky in awe. That's when you noticed.
The slight pinkish sky, so beautiful. You were in awe as you gaped at the ethereal scenery.
You snapped back to reality when you saw a hand waving in front of your face. "Woke up this early for the first time huh?" He teased, earning a smack from you. "Let me enjoy this for God's sake" You huff, as you continue staring at the sky.
Jeno, well, he found you more beautiful than the sky. As you were too immersed in your surroundings, he took this opportunity to stare at you. Your almond shaped eyes, your chubby, bubbly cheeks, the slight smile you always have plastered on your face. Your beauty completely amazes him.
When you notice Jeno staring at you from the corner of your eye, you look at him. "Do I look that good?" You tease him, wiggling your eyebrows playfully. "Yes you do" He blurted out, leaving you wordless. You just look at him with a slightly shocked expression as he turns fully towards you, taking your hand in his.
"I have wanted to do this for so long, this feels like the right time" You just stood there shocked, knowing what's about to come next. "I love you so much, frankly, I'm whipped for you. Everything about you never fails to make me happy. It's completely fine if you don't feel the same about me, I just wanted to get this off my chest" He takes a deep breath as he looks at you, eagerly waiting for your response.
Without thinking, you move forward and press your lips to his. You never felt like this. Butterflies in your stomach, your heart was racing. You were feeling so overwhelmed with happiness, it was as if you were levitating. You felt Jeno smile against your lips as he broke the kiss and rested his forehead against yours.
Couldn't imagine a better first kiss. It was perfect. You made him happy, he made you happy. You both were perfect.

{10} - Morning Mist - Yandere!Dragon!Ateez X Chubby!Reader
Tumblr media
Yandere AU & Dragon AU
Genre: Mature, Horror, Angst
Pairing: Ateez X Reader
Words: 4,615
Warnings: Not edited, I’m terribly sorry!! Death mentioned, OC refers to herself as ‘rotund’ cause she’s recalling memories, mentions of past trauma/implied imprisonment and whipping, self-blame. I think that’s all. This is a Yandere story, it will contain themes such as stalking, violence, obsession, possessive natures, and just general overall creepiness and swearing. You have been warned.
A/n: Next chapter is here, yay!! I apologize in advance cause it’s not edited, but I have work in the morning and it’s already super late for me. Please bear with the errors for now. Also, I know the boys aren’t really in this chapter, but there’s quite a bit of plot, and two are hidden in the scenes, so I wonder if you can guess which two they are? 👀 As always, feedback is greatly appreciated! Enjoy~
Also, gentle reminder that I do not do tag lists.
Chapter One - Chapter Two - Chapter Three - Chapter Four - Chapter Five - Chapter Six - Chapter Seven - Chapter Eight - Chapter Nine - Mini Masterlist
Normally, the time it takes you to travel from your place to the Neo’s nest, or vice versa, is about fifteen minutes by foot. You make it home in five.
Jeno follows close behind you the whole time, and you can feel Jisung flying at his top speed towards your place all the while. It should only take your youngest another minute before he arrives.
“Jeno-“
“I’ll leave as soon as he gets here,” he promises. “I just want to make sure you’re both okay.”
You smile softly at your cub, extending your hand out to caress his cheek tenderly.
“I have some of the sweetest boys in the world,” you hum, throat tightening at the care he shows the both of you.
“Because you raised us well.” He leans into your touch, eyes fluttering closed briefly.
A moment later, and there is a large crash in your backyard. Dirt flies everywhere, sobs of pain being muffled into the earth.
“Oh, My Little Jisungie,” your expression immediately fills with nothing but concern as you move to kneel beside the weeping dragon. “I’m right here.”
In the blink of an eye, he’s wrapped his arms around your lower waist, sobbing violently into your chest. You briefly meet Jeno’s gaze, noticing how the male nods subtly before backing off. He shoots one final concerned glance towards you and his brother before disappearing back into the woods.
You’ll both be okay. Besides, you’ll call if you need anything.
“She’s gone,” he wails, tightening his grip around you. “The love of my life is gone.”
Quietly, you shush him, running your fingers gently through his hair all the while. The best thing for him right now is to let out all of his emotions without you interrupting. It’s better for him to expel that energy, rather than keeping it all bottled up inside and letting it consume him. You know first hand what that is like.
“I’m right here, Ji.” You coo, cradling him in your arms and feeling his entire body shaking against your own. “Let it all out. I’m right here.”
He chokes on a sob, “she’s gone, and she’s never coming back.”
“Shhh,” you place your lips against the side of his head, grip holding him a little tighter in your arms. “It’ll be okay. It will all be okay.”
“I couldn’t do anything to save her.” His voice is strained from the weight of his emotions. “I promised her we’d always be together, that I’d always protect her, and I’ve let her down.”
The broken sob he releases breaks your heart, the organ squeezing painfully in your chest.
“You know that’s not true, Jisungie,” you voice softly, nothing more than a tender caress just like your one hand that now strokes comfortingly down his spine. “You gave her a long life with the person she loves most. She told me that’s all she’s ever want, and it was you who fulfilled her every wish.”
Your words have him choking on his sobs, breath stuttering in his chest as he buries his face into the side of your neck.
“I could have done something,” he tightens his own grip around you. “I should have done more.”
“You did all you could.” You assure him gently.
“You don’t know that!” He snaps, pulling away from you instantly. “I should have saved her! I should have figured out a way to extend her life so she didn’t have to die in pain!”
“When it comes to death, I am more familiar with it than you know, My Child.” You reply softly, watching as he stands before you now, pacing lightly as rage courses through his entire being. “Hyemin did not die in pain. She died peacefully in the arms of her most treasured love. That’s more than many others can say of their imprinted.”
His shoulders sag slightly, pausing momentarily in his steps as he looks to the ground. “I’m never going to get to see her again.”
“You will.” You hum, somewhat knowingly.
“No.” He shakes his head, more tears falling freely from his eyes. “I won’t. I won’t get to see her smile anymore. I won’t be able to hear her laughter, or feel her touch. I won’t be able to comfort her after a long day, nor will I ever be able to cook her meals or bring her flowers. She’s gone, and without her, I am lost.”
Your expression falls as you see your cub looking so broken in front of you. Shamelessly, he wipes as his eyes, more sobs wracking his body as grief consumes him.
Slowly, you stand back to your feet.
“My Child,” you meet his tear filled gaze as you extend your hand out to him, “come with me.”
He looks from your hand back to your face, blinking to clear his vision. Carefully, he takes a step towards you, reaching out his own hand to place it gently in yours.
“I know of the devastating grief you are feeling, for I have also experienced such a tremendous loss throughout my own life.” You begin, walking with him slowly to the edge of the woods. “There is no pain greater than losing the one you love, but they are never truly gone.”
Jisung remains quiet. The only indication you receive that he’s listening is a slight sniffle in response.
“Your brothers and I are here for you, for there are none who have experienced the same as much as we have.” You continue. “I want to show you something now, though. A special place where you can go, whenever you want. A place that Hyemin will rest with the others, for as long as our protection lasts. A place you can visit her, find comfort, and grieve.”
The next twenty minutes or so are spent with you leading Jisung through the woods and to your special spot. All that can be heard are your soft footfalls, and Jisung’s sniffling every now and then. Often, you squeeze his hand, silently reassuring him that you’re right here, and you will not be leaving him any time soon. A fact which has him squeezing back more often than not.
Reaching the small clearing you take a deep breath, stopping just short of the protection stones.
“I have brought each of your brothers here after they have lost someone important. It is a place for all of us. A safe space.” You tell him, turning to meet his gaze. You watch as he nods softly in response, reaching a hand up to brush away his lingering tears with the back of his hand. “You may come to visit at any time you wish, for this is now your space as well. My Daisy was the first, and she will gladly watch over Hyemin along with all of the others.”
Slowly, fireflies begin to dance in the air around you, their gentle lights twinkling like the stars above.
You step through the barrier.
A small gasp escapes Jisung’s lips as he sees the stone monument in the centre of the clearing. Shifting his gaze, he takes in the small pebbles surrounding the area, and the sudden warmth he feels encompassing his entire form. Almost as if he’s being wrapped in one of your warm hugs.
“These stones all represent someone we have lost, and every time one is placed, a new firefly comes to live in this clearing.” You tell him, leading him over to the centre monument. “This was originally just Daisy’s grave, but as I’ve said before, loss affects every single one of us. It’s comforting to know that they all watch over each other, and us, from the other side.”
A choked sob escapes Jisung’s lips as he brings a hand up to cover his mouth. His body automatically turns to yours, and you immediately have him wrapped in your arms without another thought.
Resting beside that stone marker, you both sink to your knees.
“I know you probably feel as if you are suffocating right now, Ji,” you say, keeping your voice soft as he sobs into your neck. “As if the weight of the entire universe is on your shoulders. You’re asking yourself why it was her, and not you. Why she had to be taken at all. I know you feel as if you didn’t do enough, that you let her down in some way. I want you to know that you didn’t let her down at all. I know those words are going to be hard to believe right now, and I know you don’t want to listen to me prattle on all night given the hurt so near. I just want you to know that I am here for you, and Hyemin is, too. Those that we love never truly leave us. They are always with us, both in spirit, and memory. Please, never forget that.”
A brief silence before you feel him nod against your skin.
Finally, you breathe a sigh of relief. He seems to be calming down.
Softly, a firefly dances around his head.
“Jisungie,” your tender call of his name draws his attention, pulling away slightly to look into your eyes. Your gaze flicks to the firefly beside his head. “Look.”
It takes him a moment, but the second he turns to see that little firefly dancing beside his head, you hear his breath hitch.
“Hyemin?” He nearly chokes on his breath, her name but a broken plea from his lips.
“There is another reason why I guard this place so ferociously,” you reply, gently unwrapping yourself from him and standing back to your feet. “I’ll give you two a moment alone.”
You go to step away, only to feel Jisung reach out and grab your hand in his.
Turning back to him, you smile softly. “It’s okay, Jisungie. I’ll be right outside those stones if you need me. Say what you have to. I promise I won’t listen in.”
Squeezing his hand reassuringly once more, you drop your grip. A few seconds later, and you’ve stepped outside the protective circle. Sparing a final glance over your shoulder, you see Jisung stand back to his feet as a swarm of fireflies converge, taking the form of his now deceased lover. A young woman who smiles kindly at you, bowing her head in acknowledgment as the dragon before her falls to his knees.
Tilting your head in acknowledgement, you wave a hand over the clearing. Instantly, the image of Jisung standing with a young Hyemin disappears, blending into the forest around you. A sound barrier goes up as well, giving them as much privacy as you can. Besides, you’ll feel Daisy’s tender caress on your cheek again when they’re done.
Turning your back to the clearing, your eyes scan the forest in front of you, narrowing ever so slightly. There are two faint presences you can sense drawing near, their scents on the wind. You’ll do whatever you can to avoid them for now, but if they do not cause a scene, neither will you. You have more important things to worry about tonight.
For twenty minutes, your eyes scan the forest, locking in on the specific spot you sense those two presences resting. You’re unsure if they’ve also sensed you since you haven’t really been shy in hiding your aura this time around. However, you’re not sure if it’s been enough to keep them away. They’re just out of range for you to be certain.
A cool brush against your cheek alerts you to the shifting presence behind you.
Instantly, you drop the sound barrier, hearing Jisung walking towards where you know he sees you to be standing. You take the liberty to step back over the threshold, nearly startling the younger dragon as he looks from his feet to see you suddenly closer than before.
Once more, he falls into your arms. Though, this time, the breath he releases is one of relief, rather than simply filled with pain.
Softly, you run your fingers through his hair. “Better?”
He hums. “Better."
“Do you want to head back, or would you like to stay for a little while longer?”
A firefly dances in the corner of your vision. One which Jisung seems to notice as well.
“Can we stay?” He pulls away enough to stare into your eyes. “Just for a little bit longer?”
“Of course, My Cub,” you tenderly caress his cheek. “We can stay for as long as you’d like.”
Carefully, the both of you walk over to the cliff face, sitting yourselves down and allowing your legs to dangle freely off of the edge. Jisung leans into you, and you make sure to keep your arm securely wrapped around his shoulders. The whole time, fireflies dance around your heads.
“Hyemin told me not to cry anymore.” He sniffles lowly, wiping at his lingering tears with the back of his hand.
“Whatever was said between the both of you does not have to be shared with me, My Child.” You tenderly rub the side of his arm. “That was for the two of you, and the two of you only.”
Softly, you feel him nod against your side. Then, after a moment, “it still hurts.”
“Of course it does, My Cub,” you hum, staring out over the vast scenery before you. The river shines beneath the light of the moon, the peaks of the mountains being illuminated by its brightness. “The pain is all too fresh, and it will linger for some time. It will be harsh, and demand to be felt at times, but you cannot let it consume you. I’m sure that’s not what Hyemin would have wanted for you.”
You feel him shiver within your hold, and you just know he felt her caress just as you have felt Daisy’s so many times before.
“Is this-“ he stops himself short, clearing his throat lightly as his voice drops to a mere whisper, “is this what you felt when you lost Daisy?”
“Everyone experiences loss differently, just as I will feel pain in other ways that you will not.” You reply, taking a somewhat deep breath to steady your nerves. Then, you turn to meet his gaze. “But, yes. Though, my circumstances were far different than yours.”
A gentle breeze drifts through, and you swear you catch her scent on the wind.
“Will you tell me about her?” Jisung looks up at you through his lashes, wide eyes glistening beneath the light of the moon. “The story of how you two met?”
“You never grow tired of this one, do you?” You chuckle fondly, noticing how a faint pink dusts his cheeks. “Alright, I’ll tell you again.”
Jisung smiles lightly, curling deeper into your side.
“It was spring when I first saw her,” you begin, staring back out at the valley before you. “She was paddling across the fjord with a boat full of supplies, and a dream. I watched her set up camp, hiding myself away in the bushes before returning home every night. Back then I was a bit of a troublemaker myself, so sneaking out was no issue.”
The way you ruffle his hair slightly has a whine escaping his lips.
You smile affectionately before continuing, “one day, I saw her fishing in the creek. Unfortunately, I wasn’t as stealthy back then as I am now, so I lost my footing and fell right into the water.”
He laughs at this. He always does every time you tell him this story, and it makes your heart warm.
“I still enjoy the mental image of you waddling out of the creek, clothing drenched and water dripping off of you.” He grins, but it doesn’t quite reach his eyes.
“I got lucky though. I managed to grab hold of a fish before leaving to shore.” You chuckle fondly, recalling the memories now. “I can never forget the look she gave me as I proudly declared I ‘caught one’ as I left the water. Your Aunt Daisy was an expressive woman, emotions painted on her features for all to see.”
“I would have been so embarrassed.” Jisung comments.
“I was,” you hum. “I could tell she thought I was the most bizarre creature she had ever come across that first meeting. Yet, she was kind enough to invite me to cook the fish we had caught by the fire with her.” Your eyes twinkle, lips tugging upwards once more. “I couldn’t say no.”
“I can’t count the amount of times I made a fool of myself in front of her,” you recall, a gentle rumble to your tone. “She never once put me down for it, or treated me strangely. I have always been what some villagers might refer to as ‘rotund’, but Daisy never once treated me any differently than anyone else. She never looked down on me, or thought little of me for my appearance, and she had so many brilliant ideas.”
“We found this little clearing one night when we went hiking through the woods. It was a risk on my part, since I could usually get away with being away from home during the day time. However, as soon as night fell, it was harder to hide from my father.” You look downwards, somewhat sadly. “We sat in this very spot, talking for hours. I don’t even remember half of the topics we discussed, but I do remember every bit of how I felt. How she made me feel.”
“How did she make you feel?” Jisung asks, eyes wide as he stares up at you.
You smile, shifting to meet his gaze as you brush some strands of hair away from his eyes. “Like the happiest person on earth.”
Jisung smiles, looking out across the valley as he recalls how Hyemin always made him feel the exact same way.
“I felt like I was floating whenever I was with her. Nothing else mattered to me: not my training, not my father, not even who or what I was.” You recount, a few tears gathering in the corners of your eyes. “With her, I could just be. I didn’t have any expectations of her, and she didn’t have any of me.”
“I can still remember how it felt for her to hold my hand,” you faintly smile down at your left palm. “Her touch was so gentle, and so unbelievably soft, that I thought she couldn’t be real. The moment she told me she wanted to create a town for herself, some place safe where she could live, and not worry about people judging her intelligence, I immediately agreed. I told her I would help her, and we could start this town together.” You smile. “So we did.”
“I don’t exactly know when I fell in love with her, but I can still remember the day my father cornered me about imprinting on a human.” Your expression turns dark in the next moment. “He’s always had my best interests in mind, but it doesn’t always come out the way he intends them to. He warned me that it could never last; I didn’t know what I was getting myself in to, and I should quit while I’m ahead.”
“Of course, I didn’t listen.” You grin, though there’s a sadness shining behind your eyes now as the first of your tears begin to trail down your cheeks. “The very next day, I confessed to her, and was overjoyed to learn she felt the same way. We spent years together, and I would always bring her Daisies on our anniversary. She would always smile and laugh at that, hitting me with the bouquet a few times. To this day, I can never look at those flowers the same way, unless they are in this clearing with her.”
Jisung’s grip tightens the slightest bit around you, offering you what little comfort he can while you comfort him.
“It was a little rough when I told her of my true nature, but My Daisy was headstrong,” you chuckle, somewhat sadly. “She knew I was different, and almost figured it out before I even told her. You see, Little One,” you nudge him lightly, “sometimes when our emotions are heightened, we cannot control the shifting of our eyes.”
“Believe me,” he huffs out a laugh through his nose, nodding along with you. He cannot count the times this has happened to him, especially with Hyemin around. “That I do know.”
“We had three years together after we finished building this town.” Your voice hitches slightly in your throat as you wipe at your cheeks with the back of your free hand. “Three years before they took her away from me.”
“I know you’ve mentioned the hunters before, but could the ones from town now really have done that? If their ancestors are anything like they are, then you should have been able to take them. Easily.” He frowns, swinging his legs slightly as he continues to rest over the cliffside with you.
“There is a reason the hunters in this town are the way they are now,” you breathe. “I will never let another true hunter set foot on my territory again. Let alone them.”
“What happened?” His sorrowful gaze turns to you.
“Are you sure you want to learn of Daisy’s death tonight, My Cub?” You tenderly stroke the side of his face. “It is already a melancholic evening, I do not wish to make it worse.”
Jisung ponders your question for a moment before turning away. His gaze is full of sorrow as he stares down at the treetops below. “No. Maybe not.”
You nod lightly. “That is, perhaps, a wise decision.”
A small silence settles around the both of you, allowing the comfort of resting in each other’s embrace to calm you for the moment. That is, until Jisung is standing back to his feet. Before he can even say a word, you’re raising a palm into the air.
“You do not need to explain your grief process to me, Jisung.” You meet his gaze, noticing the way his eyes shine with newly unshed tears. “Do what you have to do. All I ask is that you do not bring harm to yourself, or anyone else. Take all the time you need. No matter how far you go, I will find you if we need you.”
Jisung says nothing, only being able to nod his head. Slowly, he bends down, placing a lingering kiss onto your forehead, and you know that this is his way of thanking you for everything tonight.
You smile weakly. “Be safe, My Cub.”
Without another word, Jisung is jumping from the cliffside, shifting midair and flying off into the night. This time, when a cry echoes through the air, it’s not as piercing or devastating as the first. Instead, it is a cry of hope. Of a love lost, yes, but well lived, and sorrowful. A cry which is echoed by his brothers in the distance.
You sigh faintly, leaning back onto your hands as you watch that little beige dragon disappear around one of the mountains. Your whole body trembles, fingers digging into the dirt beneath your nails as you attempt to control your thoughts. Reliving those memories of Daisy has only made the tragedy of her death all the more fresh in your mind, even if it’s been hundreds of years.
Still, those two presences linger at the edge of your senses, but you pay them no mind.
Another tear slides down your face.
“Did I do the right thing?” You wonder aloud, keeping your voice low as you curl in on yourself. “Will Jisung be okay on his own now?”
A tender caress against your cheek wipes away one of your tears. You lean into that phantom touch more than you know.
“I can still remember how lost I was when I lost you. Though, I didn’t have time to grieve like he did.” You’re thinking out loud for the moment, but the words help to expel those negative emotions you’re currently feeling. “When I was finally freed, and I could allow myself to feel again, I was devastated.”
A firefly lands on your knee.
“I was in the dark for over five-hundred days, Daisy.” Your voice cracks. “They took my light, and then they tried to break me.”
You raise your wrists, the weight of the iron chains still heavy on your skin. Faintly, you can just make out the scars that still line your body.
A hand caresses the top of your skull, brushing over your head lightly. The comfort is brief, but welcomed all the same.
“I will never forgive them for what they did.” You voice, somewhat harshly. “Not to you. Not to an innocent human who only wanted to love and live in peace.”
A sob shakes your entire body.
“I deserved it.” You mutter after a moment, nothing more than a whisper on the wind. “Every lash they gave me for five-hundred and two days, I deserved for failing you.”
A rustling from the bush behind you has you whipping your head around, guard high. You didn’t sense anyone sneaking up on you, but then again, your mind hasn’t been in the best state for the past few minutes or so. Luckily, at the familiar aura you feel, your shoulders are instantly relaxing.
“I thought I’d find you here,” Renjun hums as he easily steps over the threshold of the barrier. At seeing your distressed state, worry immediately takes over his features. “Are you okay?”
You clear your throat, wiping at your lingering tears, “I’m fine.”
Renjun purses his lips. He knows as well as you do that you’re lying to him right now, but he doesn’t press.
“Jisung will be home after he’s done his grieving process.” You say, pushing yourself back to your feet in the next moment.
Renjun nods his understanding, blinking a few times as he looks around the clearing. For a brief moment, his eyes linger on one particular rock, a sad smile pulling at his features before he’s looking back at you.
The silence that stretches on between you as you hold his gaze is deafening.
He swallows. “You know it wasn’t your fault-“
“I don’t want to talk about it.” You cut him off, though your voice doesn’t have the same sharpness to it that it usually does.
Pursing his lips, Renjun lets out a small sigh through his nose.
“Alright then,” he replies, watching as you walk closer to him before he’s falling into step beside you. Carefully, he wraps his arm around your lower back, and he swears he sees a flash of gold out of the corner of his eyes. “Let’s get you home before that Hala bites my head off.”
Your brow furrows slightly. “Have they not left yet?”
“The two older ones did,” he replies, helping you step through the bush. “At least they have some etiquette when it comes to other dragon’s grieving.”
“Tell me how you really feel, Junnie,” you manage a small chuckle, sniffling in the next second.
“Those other three ask too many questions, I don’t know how you can put up with them.” He shakes his head. “I don’t know if your two disciples are still at your house, but I know the youngest won’t leave until he sees you return safe and sound.”
The corner of your lips twitch upwards faintly, though you hardly seem to notice the action. However, Renjun does.
“Come on,” he sighs, a knowing smile flashing across his features. "Let’s get you home.”
