now, do i personally believe that maya and franziska would actively try to get phoenix and edgeworth together? not really. BUT. i don't see the harm in people writing scenarios in which they would? ik this sounds silly since maya and franziska wingmaning is one of the more popular ace attorney fic tropes, but i feel like recently i've seen a lot of hate towards and and i don't understand why!

think of it this way: maya is phoenix's best friend and like pseudo little sister, they're extremely close, and i'm pretty sure she teases him about his love life AT LEAST once in canon (it could be more, or i could've completely made this up, but i've played the trilogy enough where if i tried i could probably find an example but it's late and i'm tired). anyway with that said, why WOULDN'T she care about them getting together? she's shown in the first game to be pretty invested in "the deal with [nick] and edgeworth" her words, not mine. i'm not one to speak on later games because i honestly haven't touched them in over two years and even then they were a complete blur and i forgot everything except that edgeworth looked really ugly from the front. but. if my memory serves me i don't think their dynamic changed much? i can't see her caring AS much at 28 as she would at 17, because obviously she's grown and matured, but i don't think she'd be completely uninterested like some people say. maybe she wouldn't be wearing comical disguises to spy on them, but i could see her encouraging nick, or idk just telling trucy stuff about their old cases to stir something up.

i think the franziska side of things is where i'm a little more understanding, but also not really. on one hand, i get that she's very well put together and mature seeming. on the other hand, that's only how she SEEMS. i won't get into a whole franziska analysis because this post is already longer than i wanted and no one wants to hear me ramble about her, but she's not really as mature as she seems. anyway, would she care THAT much? the answer may surprise you!

now think of it THIS way: edgeworth is franziska's little brother. despite how she acts sometimes she obviously loves him dearly, and would (probably) just want him to be happy, with whatever foolishness it may endure. phoenix wright is franziska's sworn enemy. she can't stand him and feels as though he has personally wronged her before they even met. absolutely hates his guts (except for when they investigate together then they can be friends). franziska is incredibly smart, but she's clearly not the best emotionally. even with that, though, she seems to understand how important edgeworth is to phoenix ("earthquake blah blah blah" "are you thinking of miles edgeworth blah blah blah"). she kind of just accepts this, even though it implies that phoenix (a man he only recently reconnected with) would be on a similar level of emotional connection as his sister. maybe she doesn't think much about it though. she's just like sure whatever you're his most dear and indispensable friend i don't care anymore. do people really think that, if somehow she came to the conclusion that edgeworth had feelings for phoenix she wouldn't care in any way??? i'm not saying it'd necessarily be positive and all "you go girlfriend!", but to say she wouldn't CARE is so wild. she'd probably be furious, and so maybe she wouldn't wingman. but she does CARE about her brother, and honestly if it were presented to her on the right way she probably would wingman. one "hey franziska. i bet you can't make your brother get with phoenix wright. if they get together without your guidance then that basically means edgeworth beat you btw" and she's suddenly invested. (dramatized, but you get the point)

tldr; maya and franziska are not so nonchalant and cool that they wouldn't care about one of the most significant people in their lives having feelings for their courtroom rival of over a decade. that is all.

ok ok ok so recently i've been playing through the ace attorney games (i haven't started three yet but i remember most of the plot bc of the anime) and for some reason i wanted to take a shot at what an "accurate" no DL-6 AU would look like! I just think it's interesting to see what might've actually happened if DL-6 never happened bc DL-6 is kinda the major butterfly effect in the AA world. Idk if i wanna make this an actual AU or just a ramble on how the series would be completely different without DL-6 lmao. We'll see! Maybe you guys decide :D anyway MAJOR AA TRILOGY SPOILERS AHEAD

I'll start with the characters. Gregory Edgeworth would still be alive, Miles would become a defense attorney & work with his father at his law firm. Phoenix would most likely pursue his artist career. Narumitsu/Wrightworth tbh would still happen bc they need to be canon PLEASE CAPCOM. Just that there would be no rivalry.

Anyway the Dahlia case would've been so different but also kinda the same without DL-6. It was because of DL-6 that Misty Fey left Kurain Village and Mia also left to become a defense attorney. Without Mia, it would've most likely only been Diego Armando taking on the first Dahlia case with Terry Fawles. Fawles would probably still commit suicide, and I believe Diego still would've investigated Dahlia further & gotten poisoned by her, but without Mia becoming a defense attorney & being killed by Redd White in 1-2, Diego would've never had a reason to become Godot so he probably would've stayed as a defense attorney. Furthermore, without Mia it most likely would've been Miles taking Phoenix as a client in 3-1 bc childhood friends never losing touch bc no DL-6 (you get the point lmfao).

Like, I think about maybe half the cases in the original trilogy would've NEVER happened if DL-6 never happened bc we would've never met Mia or Maya or Pearl, Yanni Yogi wouldn't need to take out his revenge, Von Karma wouldn't have been arrested, Franziska would've never wanted revenge so she most likely would've never come to Japanifornia, I think the only person that would never change is fucking LARRY and that's honestly the craziest part LMAO.

agh i'm getting kinda tired bc it's late so i'll probably finish this ramble tomorrow. there's so much I wanna talk about but my mind is going at like 1000 mph so I need to get my thoughts together lmfao

TLDR: DL-6 is the butterfly effect for the entire ace attorney world & many of the characters we know and love wouldn't even exist/be introduced if it weren't for it.

First impression: OH I SHOULD GET INTO ACE ATTORNEY IMMEDIATELY THIS MAN IS GOING TO RUIN ME.

Impression now: I was one hundred percent correct in my assumptions. He did in fact ruin me. This man has the range honestly. He is kind. He is an asshole. He is traumatised. He has every subtype of daddy issues known to man. He is a bitchy gay queen. He is aroace-spec (to me). He is autistic. He has NO idea what to do with himself when he is not in a courtroom. He is insane. Ive seen it. I enjoy it. Amen.

Favourite moment: "thanks to you i am saddled with unnecessary.... feelings....". Everything about turnabout goodbyes. The talk with Franziska at the end of aa2. The talk with phoenix after the earthquake in aa3. I could literally never pick Just One moment sorry.

Idea for a story: ... I've brainstormed two (2) aus that involve Edgeworth with two different mutuals. The first one is the Eurovision au where vk just sends miles to represent germany in Eurovision and the second one is the ace attorney/παρά πέντε crossover me and @alalumin have been driving ourselves insane over. Out of the two, the first one is the most fleshed out but the second one i might actually sit down and write for one day. Thats about all the concrete story ideas ive had for this man so far dkskks. Everything else is just a jumble of vague angsty daydreams.

Unpopular opinion: hmmm a lot of people tend to ignore the fact that he was canonically suicidal after aa1 so i suppose that could count as an unpopular opinion? Like if he wasn't actually suicidal, the note meant that he straight up faked his death which makes him an even bigger asshole that he usually is, which in turn makes phoenix's misdirected anger and blame seem a lot more justified? Also a lot of people tend to ignore the fact that phoenix would NOT handle Edgeworth admitting that he meant the note literally well. And honestly im not really blaming anyone here. Their aa2 dynamic is sooo complex, Edgeworth hurt the people that cared about him by hurting himself and not all of them are ready to forgive him immediately and thats fine. I just wish more people would explore this whole thing instead of oversimplifying it yknow?

Favourite relationship: narumitsu obvs but honestly? The Franziska and Miles fucked up sibling relationship means the world to me, its like a really really really close second.

Favourite headcanon: does it actually count as a headcanon if its strongly supported by canon? Idk but he definitely avoids elevators as much as he can and considering that his office is in the twelfth fucking floor the man walks up a lot of flights of stairs. He must have thighs of steel skkskaka. Also i like to think that at some point after the investigation games he went to therapy and he finally (!) got some help for that unmedicated and undiagnosed canon ptsd hes been drowning in since he was nine years old. Also he got Pess because i love her. Maybe she is trained as a service dog. He would love her with all his heart and her death would kickstart a major depressive episode because god knows this man can't handle grief but in the end he could get over it. Maybe even get a second dog or learn how to deal with loss in a less self destructive way. Also i don't think he would ever be able to fully enjoy Christmas? Like sure his fathers death doesn't hurt as much anymore but i like to think that the nightmares rear their ugly head during the Christmas season. Sure, he IS doing better but some things never really go away. He can hang out at the prosecutors office or Wright anything agency Christmas parties without feeling utterly miserable but he doesn't enjoy the holidays as much as everyone else. Some people don't understand why or think thats its just another aspect of his charming personality but the people who do are sympathetic about it.

First impression: γουαου ποιός είναι αυτός ο μαλάκας λολ. Ειλικρινά νομίζω την πρώτη φορά που είδα το παρά πέντε δεν με ένοιαζε πολύ σαν χαρακτήρας.

Impression now: κοίτα. Έχεις δει το μπλογκ μου. Ξέρεις πως νιώθω για αυτόν τον άνθρωπο. Ο Ανδρέας έχει θεματάρες. Έχει παγιδεύσει τον εαυτό του σε μια θέση στην οποία είναι και θύμα και θύτης και από την οποία δεν έχει τρόπο ή ιδιαίτερη θέληση να βγει. Κατά την διάρκεια του σόου πηγαίνει από την αδιαφορία για τους ανθρώπους που σκοτώνει, στην εμμονή με το να πιάσει τους πέντε και μόνο όταν τον συλλαμβάνουν και όλα τελειώνουν συνηδειτοποιεί πόσο μάταια ήταν όλα αυτά και πόσες ζωές έχει καταστρέψει συμπεριλαμβανομένης και της δικής του. Επίσης ο άνθρωπος είναι μούναρος 😔😔.

Favourite moment: το τηλεφώνημα στον Σπύρο στο φινάλε με στοιχειώνει τα βράδια.

Idea for a story: πέρα από το ο Σπύρος επισκέπτεται τον Ανδρέα στη φυλακή fic που βρίσκεται αυτή τη στιγμή στο wip hell μου έχει καρφωθεί στο μυαλό εκείνη η ατάκα που ο Παυρινός αποκαλεί τον Νίκο πρεζόνι και το τι μπορεί να υπονοεί για το Ανδρέας/Νίκος μπακστορι. Επίσης εκείνο το όνειρο που είχα δει ότι έχει κόρη και redemption arc, angst fic για την γενική κακομεταχείριση που τρώει από τον Παυρινό, το Ανδρέας/Νίκος καφενείο au το οποίο κάποιος πρέπει να γράψει σας εκλιπαρώ και το προαναφερόμενο ace attorney/παρά πέντε crossover στο οποίο εμφανίζεται ως μάρτυρας στην δίκη της Αγγέλας. Το πόσα από αυτά θα καταλήξω όντως να γράψω ποτέ είναι πολύ αμφιλεγόμενο τβχ αλλά το γεγονός είναι ότι μου τριβελίζουν συνέχεια το μυαλό.

Unpopular opinion: δεν ξέρω είμαστε στο παρά πέντε φάντομ, είμαστε δέκα άτομα όλα κι όλα κάθε άποψη μετράει για unpopular κσκσκσ. Αλλά απλά και μόνο για να πω κάτι. Νομίζω όντως προσπάθησε να αγαπήσει τη Ζάνα. Ο γάμος τους ήταν ότι πιο hand in unlovable hand και σφάζονταν όλη μέρα αλλά προσπάθησε να φτιάξει τη ζωή του στην αρχή τουλάχιστον, εξού και ο ευτυχισμένος χετεροσεξουαλ γάμος. Στο μυαλό μου ήταν από αυτά τα ζευγάρια που έχουν ημερομηνία λήξης και το ήξεραν και οι δύο. Μετά έπεσε στα βαθιά με τις δουλειές με τον Παυρινό και πήρανε επιτέλους διαζύγιο. Επίσης δεν νομίζω ότι με τον Νίκο τα έχουνε, έχουνε. Νομίζω έχουν μια ελαφρώς fucked up relationship όπου δεν επικοινωνούν τίποτα εβερ, απλά πηδιουνται περιστασιακά on and off και μετά απλά πηγαίνουν και τα φτιάχνουν με άλλους. Τουλάχιστον στην αρχή. Τώρα αν μετά το τέλος της σειράς βγουν ποτέ από την φυλακή θέλω να πιστεύω ότι θα μπορούσαν να φτιάξουν λίγο τη ζωή τους αλλά αν δεν βγουν ποτέ. Well. Πώς νιώθεις όταν συνηδειτοποιείς ότι αγαπούσες τον καλύτερο σου φίλο χρόνια τώρα αλλά δεν έκανες ποτέ τίποτα για αυτό επειδή απλά δεν τολμούσες να αλλάξεις τίποτα στην μοναδική σταθερή σχέση που σου είχε απομείνει στη ζωή σου και ταυτόχρονα ήσουν πολύ απασχολημένος να σκοτώνεις κόσμο; Πώς νιώθεις όταν συνηδειτοποιείς ότι τώρα μπορεί να είναι πια πολύ αργά; Γενικά head full many thoughts.

Favourite headcanon: ναιιι δεν νομίζω ότι αυτός ο άνθρωπος είχε καλά παιδικά χρόνια. Ή καλό πατέρα. Ο Παυρινός κυριολεκτικά του πετάει πράγματα και αυτός ο καημένος σκύβει να τα πιάσει 😔 babyboy έχεις τραύμα. Η μάνα του είναι νεκρή (ναι κυριολεκτικά αναφέρεται έτσι throwaway σε ένα επεισόδιο και δεν το έχω ξεχάσει ποτέ) και επιλέγω να πιστεύω ότι την σκότωσε ο πατέρας του. Μισεί τον πατέρα του και κατά βάθος μισεί και το γεγονός ότι μεγαλώνοντας έχει γίνει σχεδόν ακριβώς σαν αυτόν. Ξεκίνησε να καπνίζει στο γυμνάσιο. Επίσης δεν πιστεύω ότι τελείωσε ποτέ το λύκειο.

"Mammon's Magnificent Musical Mid-Season Special featuring Fizzarolli" review

Let’s see Fizz handle Mammon’s BS. SPOILERS and long post warning

Well the video’s image already confirms Mammon is evil and seems to have an odd relationship with Fizz, but that was a given fact.

Teenage Fizz and Blitzo!

ITS KNIFEY!!!! KNIFEY IS MAMMON’S VOICE!

Let’s be honest, Mammon could have treated that Imp kid much worse so its nice to see him not.

I’d brag that I was right about Mammon exploiting Fizz, but that was obvious from the start.

You’d have to admire Mammon for being honest about his feelings.

The moon of the Greed ring is a giant coin, but it looks like a hologram of some kind to me.

So that’s why Fizz was cautious towards that fan on the “Ozzie’s” episode. I also feel like it’s a joke making fun of hardcore fans of a franchise, who think their ideas should become actual canon in said franchise.

Froggie? I get that’s its likely referencing how Fizz jumps around, but what’s wrong with Fizzy? Wait wasn’t Blitzo called that in “Western Energy”, and was insulted by it?

Obviously we all love seeing Ozzie care about Fizz’s happiness and wanting to protect him from his fans and Mammon, but I don’t fully believe Ozzie when he says he doesn’t want to build sex robots that look like him. Maybe he wants the robots for himself XD.

While Ozzie is talking to Blitzo, you can see one of his rooms having gear designs on the wallpaper. I know it’s been confirmed that he is a skilled inventor, but I like seeing that as it shows the writers are showing that he is more than just the embodiment of lust/Fizz’s boyfriend.

IDK about you but Ozzie’s new outfit makes him look like Valentino a bit. There has been a joke about how "Val is copying Ozzie" so maybe it’s a joke about that, just neither are copying each other and its just coincidence?

Just like Stolas can, Ozzie can become a pile/form of something, in this case fire. Could this be enough to confirm that he is part phoenix like I brought up before? I also feel like it’s a joke about the “flames of passion” saying.

Helsa von Eldritch!?!? Oh wait that's not her, just girls named Glitz and Glam. Apparently they are voiced by the VA who voiced Katie Killjoy in the pilot. I wonder if their audio will be used in future fan made Katie Killjoy funny vids?

What’s with the spider webs? Is Mammon supposed to be a spider demon? Could it be a refence to Angel Dust?

I’ve been waiting to talk about that scene of the girl getting her eyes burn ever since it appeared in the 2022 trailer. First off I can strangely see pics of her and that Imp she was on becoming a couple, if you ignore the sign she had. I could see a comic where he took her to a hospital which she finds sweet and then the rest is history. I can also see a comic where Lilith Morningstar forces Mammon to pay for her medical bills due to a combination of not liking Mammon and as revenge for his statement about women not being funny.

Mammon keeps claiming he never had a son, which I feel like is building up to the reveal of Wacky Wally being his son. Fingers crossed :3

Blitzo can still do the Spider-Man upside down hanging. That is going to make a lot of Blitzo X Stolas fans happy XD

The moment with the deaf child has to be the cutest moment in the season so far.

It’s that stalker guy from before, he surprisingly looks good after all that time.

MAMMON IS A SPIDER DEMON! Honestly I don’t really like that as we have enough animal demons as it is, so it would have been nice if he was similar to what Lucifer is, or a few of the fallen angels that still look like angels to some capacity.

Heh flying fishes XD. The song is also really nice too.

Why hasn’t Fizz tried calling Ozzie for emotional support?

You can see a game called Fizzopoly in the background. Knowing the real life Monopoly brand, I can see that becoming a real toy one day, or at least a Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss themed one. Would you buy it if it was a real thing?

There’s Ozzie. Also “character too big to get through door” cliché, but at least he can teleport to solve that problem.

There first “I love you” moment!

I know it was just played for fun, but I wonder if Blitzo (at this moment in time) is a bit jealous of Ozzie being with Fizz. That or he is just that neutral about it but he expresses it in insults.

I’m just noticing the electricity Mammon gives off. With Ozzie having fire, I wonder if this means the other sins have master of a certain element or something similar, except Lucifer who has mastery of all. Leviathan would obviously be water, Bee I think would have air via flapping wings, and maybe Satan could be Earth though that’s where my theory breaks down as we have seen Imps use and control fire too.

Wow 4 songs in 1 episode.

I wonder if this episode is giving us a glimpse of what Angel Dust is going to go through with Valentino in Hazbin Hotel?

Not really liking Mammon’s full demon form.

YES! THE FIGHT IS HAPPENING!

Wait is that Ozzie’s full demon form? It looks more like a power up. Hopefully that is the case and maybe one day we can see a proper full demon form.

Wally is there, thus ending the “Mammon is Wally in disguised” theory. Still think they could be father and son.

Muppet Fizz meme parody. Still hoping for a Ozzie as Cookie Monster parody someday. Also one of the guys 3 phones has a text saying “expect fan art soon”, once again showing how self-aware the writers are about the fandom.

WAIT NO FIGHT!! DAMMIT!!

Mammon says Ozzie is going to regret revealing his feelings to everyone, but I don’t see how Ozzie is going to face consequences for his actions. The only thing I can think of is a scenario where the other sins make the two go through an investigation similar to that one episode of “Parks and Recreation” just to see if Ozzie did something big for Fizz via favoritism that could be unfair for other demons or worst case scenario, get Hell in trouble with Heaven. Is it possible that the Goetia community could use this somehow, like overthrow Ozzie, or something related to what’s going on with Blitzo and Stolas? Could this start some kind of war, like Mammon has lost some profits (like $100 worth) and just decides the best thing to do is kidnap Fizz and force him to work for him? Mammon is pretty dumb, so I could see him doing such a thing.

I hope we see the twins come back one day. I could definitely see them becoming rivals of Verosika Mayday.

Looks like Ozzie platonically likes Blitzo now, if him smiling about his sexual question is any indication. I wonder if this will result in Ozzie trying to help Blitzo and Stolas get together!

Another great episode. I really liked how I was another episode centered around a reoccurring character like Fizz with little to no Blitzo, which is good from time to time. I also think having the VA of Knifey being the VA for Mammon is a perfect fit.

I definitely love that I was pretty close to getting the plot of the episode right, while also improving on it such as having Fizz wanting to try and be the best for himself instead of being blinded by idolizing Mammon.

The biggest thing I disliked about the episode was that we didn’t get to see Ozzie and Mammon fight, I mean come on we were so close. Maybe if we had less songs we could have gotten it. I also didn't like Mammon and Ozzie's demon forms as they don't look that different compared to seeing Stolas go all demon. Hopefully that was some kind of mid transformation, as turning into their fun demon form could have destroyed the whole area alone.

According to the order of upcoming Helluva Boss episodes, looks like the next episode will be a Stolas episode, and with the name “The Full Moon” it sounds like we will learn a bit more about Stolas’ book and FINALLY learn why he needs it on such nights. It’s also likely going to have Stolas and Blitzo get on better terms and maybe start off as being friends this time before becoming a couple later in the season.

I think it would be fitting to have the episode come out on the day/night of an acutal Full Moon, like the creators of Helluva Boss use to do with the character instagram accounts.

i have something really funny to say but it requires some context bear with me here. you may be familiar with the non canon gayest bitches tournament who basically threw a meltdown and deleted their blog because they were rooting for the ace attorney guys but jesse and ash's mom from pokemon were like not even winning but close to winning. anyways i saw the gilear jan situation and was reminded of this (yaoi the poll runner is rooting for vs yuri underdog) and idk where im going with this actually. basically i think if gilear loses you should post their meltdown rant as a bit. thank you for coming on this journey with me.

first off, the ace attorney bitches ("unnecessary feelings" and literally phoenix's entire career path) are canon in every way that matters. they should not have been accepted into that tourney (/lh)

second, i didn't know any of that was going on, and i wish i'd been there to see it live, because that's fucking hilarious.

i want gilear to go far, but i'm well aware that he likely won't win the whole thing. i've got a few possible bits i'm considering for if he loses, but i'm for sure gonna add that to the list, bc yeah that'd be honestly really funny.

okay…. so um ah…… I wanna write for Steve from the Owl House. Usually for my fics I like to keep them grounded in the canon of the show or take my own spin and add in things that weren’t in the show.

Here’s one of them….

Spoilers for the Owl House (if you haven’t seen it)

What if Phillip (Belos) and Caleb had and older sister….she too had been curious about the world beyond her own and followed Evelyn, into the Demon Realm. Maybe, she fell in love with a witch just as Caleb had with Evelyn.

She fell in love and was expecting as well, but of course. Philip stabbed her in the back just as he did with Caleb, and she died along with her unborn baby. Her husband wasn’t lucky either.

(she isn’t too old maybe a two years older than Caleb was so let’s put her around 20-21) Idk how old Caleb was

so belos created grimwalker after grimwalker of them. each of them failures, destroying each and every single one of them. until his recent ones

Y/n and Hunter. Y/n basically becoming the babysitter for her younger sibling and she despises it. being forced to basically babysit him, he’s whiny annoying spoiled.

she just wants to be alone do her own thing, world with the other guys in the coven. but despite her being older she wasn’t allowed too.

but there was one thing they had in common their extensive knowledge of wild magic…..something they were very curious about despite having been told the dangers of it by belos.

it wasn’t until they failed in getting more palisman for belos. once they arrived back at the palace. a Phoenix landed on her lap and turned into a staff

🌦️: Would you be accompanied by mostly fluff or angst fanfics? Both? Explain why.

I think Murdoc and Emmett would probably have more fluff fics than angst! Just bc of the fact that MacGyver is not a super angsty show, more action than anything!

That being said, there are DEFINITELY parts of Murdoc and Emmett's stories that are prime material for angst fics, namely when the Phoenix Foundation is dissolved and Murdoc goes back to federal prison (as extra angst material, keep in mind that Emmett no longer has any government clearance as a psychologist and cannot visit Murdoc at all).

Of course, it should be mentioned that most of these hypothetical angst fics probably would end in fluff, seeing as in 'canon' the Phoenix Foundation is reborn (much like its namesake) and everyone, Emmett included, gets their government clearance reinstated. More importantly, with the Foundation back and running, Murdoc's deal with the Phoenix Foundation is also put back into place and he is (mostly) free to live his life, slowly picking up the pieces of his broken past and moving on to live a mostly normal life with Emmett and Cassian (his child)!

Side Note (regarding Murdoc's aforementioned 'broken past'): there are probably a good deal of angst fics regarding Murdoc's past/childhood, given that in my 'canon' Murdoc is a more fleshed out character with a history that is more explored in 'canon'.

🎞️: What ‘canon’ scenes would the fandom point to as evidence for the validity of your ship?

Well, this is more applicable in the earlier stages of Murdoc and Emmett's relationship where the romance is slightly ambiguous!

I think in the very beginning when Emmett is still Murdoc's assigned prison psychologist (sent by the Phoenix Foundation to gather information about his associates and profile him), people would probably start to ship them.. honestly? like, right at the beginning, I think people would take even their first interaction with each other as evidence! You know how fandom folks are about enemies to lovers lol and that's exactly how they're portrayed in relation to each other at first: enemies, albeit in a way that definitely left a lot up to interpretation!

I think later on, when Murdoc has escaped prison and kidnaps Emmett for the first time, there are a couple of bits in this scene that would tip viewers off! Namely, when Emmett is first coming back to consciousness after having been drugged to knock them out, while they're just on the edge of lucidity, they murmur something akin to, "Why is he so pretty..?" and THAT really gets people on board with it, if they weren't before, I think.

And of course the following interactions in that scene help too; Murdoc's expression, looking at Emmett like he wants to eat them alive and of course his subsequent loss at what to do once he's run out of questions (he had exactly one), resulting in him returning Emmett home unharmed, but very confused.

To kinda hammer the point home, there is a scene where the rest of the main Phoenix Foundation team finds them, back in their apartment, completely unscathed, save for two small bandaids covering their respective needle puncture marks; they have a conversation with Mac and the rest about why Murdoc had just... left them alone, instead of torturing or killing them as was expected behavior from him and that conversation kinda has some weird romantic implications too lol

idk sorry this is so long, im just writing down whatever comes to mind and not really proof reading so sorry if this doesn't make sense!!

hello ben been following u for a while love the content great stuff. rewatching cql and wanted to know ur opinion on whether or not u think wwx knew he was in love with lwj b4 his death, after his resurrection, or post-canon? and talking like, IN LOVE. crush he probably knew like idk. during or after the schooling portion as teenagers ?

idk what the book says but cql specifically i think he knew pretty early on. there are a lot of fics about him JUST figuring out his feelings post-canon surprisingly so i wanted to ask u abt it lol

here's my timeline for how I think wei wuxian felt about lan wangji throughout the series/how aware and comfortable he was w those feelings:

I think that wei wuxian knew almost immediately that he was at the very least Attracted to lan wangji. he makes that stupid gay face the first time he sees him. throughout the cloud recesses arc it's pretty clear that wei wuxian has himself a little crush, and I think he definitely knows it. I've seen a lot of interpretations saying that wei wuxian had a crush but wasn't aware of his own feelings, but all of his clumsy attempts at flirting w lan wangji and trying to get his attention make it obvious to me that he knows very well how he feels and is not uncomfortable or in denial of those feelings

I don't think that wei wuxian was necessarily In Love with lan wangji by the time he's thrown into the burial mounds, but I think he's moved on from silly teenage crush to something more. the thing that makes him finally sit up and keep going in the burial mounds is him imaging lan wangji saying his name for fucks sake

during/around the sunshot campaign I think he is somewhere between Very Strong Romantic Feelings and In Love, and the fact that they spend half of that time at odds w each other only complicates his emotions and how much he is able to accept his own feelings. he obviously feels very strongly for lan wangji in a romantic way and is pushing and prodding to see if lan wangji feels the same but a lot is happening and he has just experienced intense emotional and physical trauma, Every emotion he's feeling is intense and complicated and repressed

as for post sunshot campaign pre yiling laozu era wei wuxian... I think this is where his feelings for lan wangji become more complicated. wei wuxian is pushing Everybody away post burial mounds and trying to separate himself from all of his attachments. he went through unspeakable trauma and now the war is over, he is left with a lot of time and space to fester in his trauma in a way he wasn't during the sunshot campaign. wei wuxian is conflicted about All of his relationships, including his relationship with lan wangji. I think he's struggling with being close to and vulnerable with anybody, and accepting new, intense, and, honestly, dangerous emotions for lan wangji is difficult for him. at this point he is very much shutting down emotionally and he very well may be In Love by then but I certainly don't think he's processing it fully. I think their conversation on phoenix mountain speaks to both wei wuxians uncertainty about their relationship and the intensity of his feelings for lan wangji

now. by the time "at least I could be killed by you, that would be worth it" happens, I Do think that wei wuxian is in love if only because that's the most batshit insane romantic thing I've ever heard in my life no other evidence needed. I think by then he's started to process his emotions more but also there's like. a lot going on right now. I don't think it's high on his list of priorities

By The Burial Mounds Arc, I 100% believe that wei wuxian not only knows that he is in love with lan wangji, but is fully aware of the fact that lan wangji is in love with him. for me, part of their tragedy is that by the end they both Knew, but they had simply run out of time. what is the point of saying it now, at the end? what good is that? maybe if they do not say it outloud the fact that they cannot act on their feelings for each other will hurt less

but part of the joy of their relationship post res Is the tragedy that came before it. they thought they had run out of time but they didn't! wei wuxian gets a second chance! they have been given more time!!

Okay, so this is me relating each and every reputation song to the marauders because it's my fav album for a reason

...Ready For It? - okay so canonically (meaning the space the canon gives us) this has jegulus written all over it (just know, I'm going to say that about almost every song), but I can't help but think about crimson rivers dorlene, like "knew he was a killer first time that I saw him" it's obviously from Dorcas' perspective, because "in the middle of the night, in my dreams" we know she's simping for Marlene from the very beginning, so that's her imagining being with her, "Knew I was a robber first time that he saw me" is her talking about her own background with the phoenix and later on she's saying that no one (not even Lily) compares to Marlene, "Are you ready for it?" I feel like the question is directed at herself because, no she's not ready, she doesn’t want Marlene to know about the phoenix so yeah

End Game - Starchaser!!! "You and me would be a big conversation" damn sure they would, because they are a Potter and a Black (both having a big reputation), "and I heard about you, oh, you like the Bad ones, too" is basically Reg noting that James likes Sirius (a Black, a 'bad' one if you will) so maybe he's going to like reg, too?

I Did Something Bad - okay so this can either be about Sirius or Regulus...in Sirius' case it's obviously directed at his family/parents and how he eventually leaves them (which is bad in their eyes but feels good to him), in Reg's case it's also directed at his family, but at Dumbledore as well.

Don't Blame Me - obviously a jegulus song, very much reminding me of their dynamic in Choices. I have this headcanon that Reg went Horcrux hunting for James, feeling crazy for betraying his family like that but "love made him crazy"

Delicate - again, very much jegulus. "My reputation's never been worse" I imagine Reg thinking that right after Sirius left. James still loved him even though Sirius surely didn't like him very much at that time. In the Refrain Reg (or James, honestly, it's fitting for both of them) overthinks the time he's spending with James, afraid that he'll scare him away

LWYMMD - again, this works for several people but I'm going to go with Regulus..imagine him faking his death in the cave after Dumbledore made it clear that he would never trust Regulus in any way, basically painting him as the bad guy since he is and always will be a Black and Regulus is hunting down all of the horcruxes in secret, totally slaying while doing so. It also works for Sirius, who is talking about his family and how he hunts them down as an order member (I also see Pandora or Dorcas in this song after Reg/Marlene die but I'm trying to keep this as short as possible)

So It Goes... - to me this is screaming MacEvans just because this song is about two people who make each other a better person and know that they like each other. Idk I just feel like this song describes them perfectly (from Lily's perspective)

Gorgeous - okay so this Sirius to Remus or Regulus to James because I think it just sums up how the black brothers act around their crush perfectly

Getaway Car - James, Lily & Regulus, though I'm not sure how I like it better; Regulus being the Getaway Car or Lily. In the end neither of the relationships work out just like they fail in canon (by being murdered lol). It also reminds me a little of Remus, Sirius & Grant, or maybe (and I might actually like this one the best) Regulus leaving Barty for James

King Of My Heart -this is Regulus to James. "Late at night, the city's asleep" pretty much them in choices, only ever neeting when everyone else is in bed. "Your love is a secret I'm hoping, dreaming, dying to keep" from his family because they ruin everything.

DWOHT - Again, Starchaser all the way. "I loved you in spite of deep fears that the world would devide us." Literally James & Reg since they knew they were on different teams in the war. Generally, I think this is Reg's perspective just because then he's the one who keeps having a bad feeling and whose "love had been frozen" before they got together.

Dress - MacEvans, MacEvans, MACEVANS! It's literally them when they realize they have a crush on the other. They're flirting without anyone else noticing, everything hidden away because it's still so new to them. "I don't want you like a best friend" HELLO??? That's them. Period.

TIWWCHNT - this is Sirius "the Drama queen" Black. I have no idea who he's saying this to but it's him. For sure. (Although it also works for (fanon) Barty)

CIWYW - this is wolfstar from Sirius' perspective. Sirius who made out with quite a lot of girls before realizing he has a massive crush on one of his best friends and now (some) people are talking shit about them but Sirius doesn't care he has Remus and that's great. Also, this song is about independence in the relationship which just makes sense for Sirius, considering he grew up in a controlling house and probably wants to feel free after escaping Grimmauld Place

New Year's Day -again, wolfstar. They just...idk it just fits. They're together while the World around them is messy and at times that mess finds a way into their relationship but they try to work through it

HIIII SABRINAA!!

I see Sun and Ryuji being similar characters, at least in appearance and basic traits. Both canon and fanon treat them terribly. So I apologize if I sound repetitive

Sun is just omg <<333 He is my boyfriend material <<33 He is such as sweet and endearing guy who just wants to help his friends and make them happy! I love how playful and funny he is! A lot of people both in show and out, portray him as this dumb blonde, while he may not be book smart he's actually really emotionally intelligent! He's not a perfect person but who doesn't have their own flaws. Sometimes Sun can be selfish without meaning to, often because he's trying to help someone else without thinking of the consequences. Also he has great abs <3

Ryuji is similar to Sun in that they're both rebellious, outgoing, and not so book smart. He's not always the most street smart either, but he really tries to be good person despite all the sh*t he's gone through. He really has heart, and passion! Honestly at first I fell for the protagonist Akira Kurusu, but overtime I felt he was too.. idk perfect? Ryuji felt real, he wasn't perfect, Ryuji made mistakes but he just wants to help, to be seen as more than just 'the delinquent'. On a less deeper note I think he's really super cute <3

Now why they like my s/i's!

Sun thinks Estella is the most beautiful star in the sky in all of Remnant. He appreciates how grounding she can be, because Sun knows he can get carried away and is thankful for her reminding him when to stop and think. They both love being silly and having fun together, feeling more than they've ever felt.

(My persona 5 s/i is still a work in progress so for now I'll call her Eve) Ryuji was a first confused by Eve, sometimes he still is. He didn't understand why she went out of her way to talk to him and make conversation. Eve wanted to find out the truth about what happened to him and wouldn't listen to any rumors, only straight from the source. Ryuji is floored by how much she loves him, constantly defending him and lifting his spirits with compliments. He's made it a challenge to himself to be more affectionate! Much to the annoyance of their friends

OHHHHHHH OKAY omg idk if this will be long but. if it is im sorry

my favourite episode has changed over time. it used to be the eye of the phoenix episode (bc of gwaine, ofc, but also bc competent/smart arthur is nice to see every now and again etc), but i think now its 2.08 (which im sure no one saw coming😫) however special shoutout to 1.09, 2.12, 3.07, and 5.13 bc 🫶🫶🫶🫶 (i also want to give SOME props to the troll eps because while they do make me uncomfortable and i think theyre ehhh… i also think some of the best writing for arthurs characterization came from them so. sigh. you win some u lose some i guess)

my answer for everything else sort of branches off from 2.08 being my favourite. i love the history between nimueh and uther and ygraine and i looovveeeee all the complications and twists and implications that come with arthur being born of magic. that the thing uther has raised him to hate and fight and whatever is directly responsible for his birth and so very inherent to him as a person—not just bc of his destiny but because its literally responsible for his existence. like we always talk about how big of a hypocrite uther obviously is but i dont think ive ever seen anyone talk about how deeply fucked up it is that uther has such a deep rooted hatred for the thing that—sure, may have killed his wife (though thats his own fault) but also—made the birth of his SON possible. and then made his son hate it and fear it as well. (and just the fact that it never quite stuck, anyway.)

i really like the story arc of 2.08 and how arthur proves himself noble and worthy to morgause just by virtue of being himself and sticking to his ideals. i love the interaction he has with ygraine (and the fact that it could be ygraine or it could be not ygraine or it could be mostly ygraine but not fully). i love that the first thing he says to her is sorry. i love love love getting a glimpse into how arthur thinks of his mom and the relationship he has with her and her ghost and so on. just everything about that interaction (from the hug to the reveal to the sudden loss to the lighting to the fact tHAT HE LOOKS SO MUCH LIKE HER to her saying she loves him shes proud of him uthers betrayal doesnt matter she wouldve given her life willingly anyway) is so so so good to me.

i also like the confrontation with uther. i cant tell you which one i like more because the idea of arthur having such vulnerable and significant interactions with BOTH his parents maybe a day apart is overwhelming even for me but. theyre both excellent in different ways. i love how cold he is at first when confronting uther and i love how he figures uthers hypocrisy out in 2 seconds flat and i love how he progressively loses the cold control and becomes so betrayed and angry and HURT and sksbsksnksjsks just. 2.08 is honestly one of the best episodes ever. i could go on about arthur in the scene with uther but like i dont even know how to articulate it. “you speak of honour and nobility. you’re nothing but a hypocrite and a liar.” really just speaks for itself. (ALSO THE FIGHT SCENE WHERE HES LITERALLY FOCUSED AND ASSESSING HIS FATHER LIKE AN ENEMY AND UTHER FUCKING AIMS TO TAKE HIS HEAD OFF EVEN THOUGH THAT MOVE IS NOT NECESSARY IN ORDER TO PROTECT HIMSELF? LIKE HE LITERALLY GOES FOR A KILL AIM AT HIS OWN SON TWICE DESPITE SAYING I DONT WANT TO FIGHT YOU AND IM UNARMED AND BLAH BLAH BLAH) (like this episode is great for arthur and thats the main reason why i like it so much, but its also a very telling episode for uthers character. LIKE HE HAS A CHANCE TO COME CLEAN AND JUST FUCKING LIES ANYWAY AND ACTS LIKE THE VICTIM OHHHHHHH IM sorry im getting angry. love the ep but the anger i feel because of how they chose to end it will keep me rolling in my grave).

that being said, if i COULD write a canon compliant fic (i mean u can find two here) i would change the ending to that episode. i dont care if merlins there and just doesnt lie or if merlin somehow is absent, all i would change is that arthur would not be lied to again. i would make it so that he knows the truth. thats it. i dont care if he kills uther (to be honest i dont think he wouldve anyway but maybe thats just me) i dont care about literally anything else id just. id let him have the truth he’s entitled to. and id let him have that memory of his mother.

sorry that it took me a bit to get to these! i should have anticipated that i’d be indecisive ahah

- 50: Fav moment?

it’s honestly impossible for me to choose a single favorite, i doubt i would even be able to narrow it down to ten favorites lmao, but here’s a moment i really like that was the first one to pop into my head: Edgeworth’s objection in 1-3 in order to prolong the trial. (“I was hoping to come up with a question while I was objecting, Your Honor. …I didn’t.”)

i like that moment so much because, especially in hindsight, it’s incredibly significant character-development wise. it’s one of the turning points of Edgeworth’s arc. it’s the first proof we get that the noble man Phoenix believes he is is still in there somewhere, and Phoenix is slowly starting to drag that deeply buried conscience out of him. in that moment, he just wanted to know the truth, and it hits hard knowing that a year or two later, he’s made finding the truth at all costs his whole philosophy. this was really the moment that started him on that journey, and by his own admission, it’s almost entirely because of Phoenix.

(also, it’s hilarious)

- 51: Saddest moment?

this question made me realize that there are a lot more really heartbreaking moments in AA than you would expect from the silly anime lawyer game lmao. again I could never really choose just one, but a plotline they use a few times that absolutely destroys me every time is when a character thinks they may have accidentally killed someone when they were little. they do it with Edgeworth, Ema, and Athena (am i forgetting any?) and while they all emotionally ruined me, I think there’s something especially compelling and awful about Athena’s. even though it turns out it's not actually what happened, the idea of a child "taking apart" her mother without understanding what she was doing is unspeakably sad and disturbing. for a specific moment, I’m torn between her “did I kill my mother…?” and the mood matrix segment where Simon takes the stand and lies desperately to try to protect her. it’s also been a while since i played DD and i only played it once, so I can’t remember all the specifics but that’s one I still sometimes lie in bed and think about lol

in the first investigation day in DGS2-3, Ryunosuke and Iris go to Van Zieks’ office to ask him some questions. while they’re there, examining various things around his office leads to a series of very funny dialogue as they criticize and muse about Van Zieks and the decor… while he stands there within earshot, exasperated but unwilling to actually make them leave. this exchange in particular had me in stitches:

Ryunosuke: Look at all those ancient casks lining the wall there.

Iris: Casks in the Reaper's chamber... ...Or are they caskets?

Ryunosuke: You, you don't think... ...all those p-people who escaped c-c-conviction in court are lying inside them...d-dead, do you?

Van Zieks: What ridiculous notions are going through your head, man? This is my collection of fine vintages!

Ryunosuke: Oh...yes, of course. Thank you for clearing that up...

Iris: Runo and I were just musing to ourselves. Don't mind us, Mr Reaper.

Van Zieks: I wouldn't, if you hadn't invited yourselves to my office to talk nonsense within my earshot.

all the TGAA escapades (especially the iconic Asoryuu tongue twister one and the one with Kazuma and Sholmes on the boat) are also absolutely hysterical to me, but they’re technically non canon so idk if they count.

OKAY THIS IS GONNA GET LONG I SCROLLED THRU MY ART FOR THIS THEN TRIED TO NARROW IT DOWN BUT ITS STILL A LOT so under the cut this goes

First off, i rlly like this thing i drew mostly for the perspective of Ryunosuke and Susato, and I plan to draw more for this idea, i just havent figured out what exactly

This one I’m still super proud of!! It’s over a year old but im still so proud with how this came out!!! I really need to draw Ratattorney again

Honestly I’m also just in love with all the stuff I’ve drawn doing the crossover between Mobshifter and Borrower!Reigen bc I think the interactions are super fun

This one is a classic its still so funny

I also still really love this silly Ratattorney thing it holds a special place in my heart thank you to my sibling for inspiring this silly thing <3

The first Mobshifter post also holds a place in my heart like it was my first g/t thought for mobbed cycle i cant believe i dodnt draw it sooner

The first borrower!Reigen comic as well!! I remember I rlly liked the idea of tiny/borrower!Reigen but didnt have many fleshed out ideas, but then after drawing that first doodle I eventually thought of how that whole scenario would go

Just assume a lot of firsts have places in my hearts. The first Ratattorney doodles I did definitely do lol

bruce wayne -> phoenix wright (honestly the inspiration for this came from a post about how from an outsider’s perspective phoenix seems like a crazy prepared genius but when you’re playing as him you know he’s just bullshitting his way through life and i thought tht that’s how batman should be)

talia al ghul -> miles edgeworth (why not harvey? in all honesty i didn’t realize a district attorney was a prosecutor at first but by the time i figured that out i decided talia worked better for his character anyway)

ra’s al ghul -> manfred von karma (gregory is talia’s mom whose name i forget, assuming she has a canon name anyway)

i haven’t decided who’s maya but i’m considering duke thomas or zatanna zatara (in the second scenario zach would definitely be pearl)

harvey bullock -> dick gumshoe (just seemed most obvious tbh)

damian wayne -> franziska von karma

i want to say harvey dent/two-face -> diego armando/godot but i’m not 100% on that

barbara gordon -> ema skye (i guess this makes jim lana?)

tim drake -> apollo justice (short king, unhinged and Just Some Guy at the same time, sarcastic bitch, it all fits)

dick grayson -> trucy wright (i reserve the right to mess with the ages as i see fit. i think i’m keeping him as an acrobat but i might make the graysons magicians if i deem it necessary)

conner kent -> klavier gavin (yeah that’s right baby. i think match will be kristoph but who knows. also the gavinners are the ravers instead and byron stark is daryan solely because he’s the raver i find most interesting)

tommy elliot -> pal meraktis because i thought that would be funny

harper row -> athena cykes (honestly it kinda just goes as far as girl associated with technology whose mother was mysteriously murdered when they were young)

jason todd -> simon blackquill (this made more and more sense the more i thought about it. formerly polite young men but became jaded from trauma and hardship. still compassionate and kind underneath despite everything. extremely dramatic. rude. strong honor code despite the Scary Criminal persona they uphold. fucks with people for fun. names their pet after the species they are. the white streak. literally willing to lay down their life for the sake of others. likes blades)

debating making natalia knight/nocturna -> aura blackquill but idk

stephanie brown -> kay faraday (it's cluemaster instead of yatagarasu, and in this universe arthur was like. a decent dad. i think i might make the riddler tyrell badd because cmon thats amazing)

AT FIRST I WANTED TO MAKE CASSANDRA CAIN SEBASTIAN DEBESTE BUT THATS BECAUSE AT FIRST GLANCE I THOUGHT SEB WAS A GIFTED KID™ WHICH FITS CASS BUT AFTER FINDING OUT HE'S A COMPLETE DUMBASS (affectionate) I'D FEEL TOO BAD DOING THAT TO CASS
