This is just a fun little thing I decided to do because of how much knowledge I have of some characters and I love sharing. Some of these are pretty obvious, not all the characters will be here so if you want to add the facts you know that aren’t here, feel free to do so!

Fun little facts about the warlords.

Oda forces.

Nobunaga Oda.

Whenever he goes out to get Konpeito from the kitchen, he wears a hood on his head to try and disguise himself.

He treats bearsace as a sacred artifact, on one event a kid asks if they can play with bearsace and he just said no because it was important to him.

Hideyoshi Toyotomi.

Hideyoshi has a group of lady friends with whom he has tea with, they admire him and definitely have a crush, but they are more like friends.

Hideyoshi isn’t fond of sweets, but he doesn’t mind eating them if it’s with someone special.

Ieyasu Tokugawa.

He studies medicine and treats many people, but he is better as a veterinarian as he treats harmed animals, even if he doesn’t admit it.

He likes hot sauce to a dangerous degree, it’s never hot enough for him.

Mitsuhide Akechi.

It has been said that, the reason why he he eats food all mixed up in a weird way is because he can’t taste it.

In one audio drama, mitsuhide purposely competed with Hideyoshi for the right hand man position just so that Hideyoshi realized how much he deserves that position. (He also cooked for Nobunaga and was proud of his monstrosity.

Mitsunari Ishida.

He is the only one who has ever come close to beating Nobunaga in Go, which shows how smart he is.

Even though they have completely different personalities, Mitsunari and Mitsuhide are often studying together, they both are like the Mitsu duo. They also have eating problems. Mitsuhide because of how he mixes food badly and Mitsunari because he just forgets to eat while studying.

Masamune Date.

In one audio drama, Masamune challenges shingen when they see each other at the market in azuchi, but when shingen suggests they eat before fighting, masamune decides to take over the kitchen to cook for them both.

In another audio drama, focusing on the characters “Yandere” characteristics, masamune showed to fit the role surprisingly well.

Ranmaru Mori.

In an audio drama, Ranmaru revealed to be very skilled with acting. More specifically, he knows how to pretend to be a girl very well. His voice actor was able to imitate a feminine voice pretty well.

Uesugi-Takeda alliance.

Kenshin Uesugi.

Kenshin saved three bunnies’ lives by simply saying he didn’t feel like eating rabbit soup, and since then those three bunnies keep following him while multiplying.

There is a version of ikemen sengoku that was only released in Japan, on the PS vita. Only a few selected characters were chosen to have routes on it and kenshin is one of them. On it, there is a piece of story where kenshin goes into the future and manages to control a mafia group. (I don’t know Japanese, so I don’t know how accurate this is, but there are cgs of him in a modern attire from the ps vita game).

Shingen Takeda.

There are many things that could be said about him, but one of my favorites is the fact that shingen is one of the few characters that actually swear in the game.

During an audio drama, he reveals that he likes when a girl ties her hair when entering the hot springs, mostly because he likes seeing the nape of their neck getting flushed.

Just an extra one because I love him, shingen has shown that he likes when people, regardless of them being women or men, compliment him. During the event “the art of seduction” where he teaches the other warlords how to flirt, he seems to appreciate when Mitsunari compliments him as a teacher.

Yukimura Sanada.

Yukimura had a different voice actor the start of the game, but he was changed. You can still see his previous voice actor voicing him in the audio drama he is in with Shingen and Yoshimoto.

He has a hard time finding what to talk about with Yoshimoto, to the point where he starts talking about spears and which ones are his preference, Yoshimoto finds the subject boring.

Yoshimoto Imagawa.

Yoshimoto is part of the few characters that were featured in the Ps vita, meaning he had a route out way before it was released in the original game.

I don’t know Japanese and never managed to find a translation for his route in the ps vita version, but there are cgs of him with Mc in the modern era.

Sasuke.

Sasuke was also featured in the audio drama with kenshin and Masamune about the Yandere concept, and was actually spooked by how good he is at that role.

Lone forces.

Motonari Mouri.

Motonari is fluent in many languages, including Portuguese (my first language is Portuguese, so it’s funny seeing him speak in Portuguese sometimes)

He wasn’t in any audio drama, but was first featured in the ikemen sengoku anime.

Kennyo.

Kennyo naturally attracts wild animals because of the energy he has, they seem to sense that Kennyo is a good person.

Kennyo has acted as a father for Ranmaru since he was a child, which would explain why Ranmaru is so dedicated towards Kennyo.

The Longest Wait (Blue Lock)

Heyo! :D Y'all knew it was Bachisagi week? (Or was- I don’t know the dates, I just saw art celebrating it) I don't keep up with those TBH- but since I've had this made up featuring our boys I figured I'd share it anyway :D (This isn't in theme with the prompt- honestly I have no idea what the prompts are I just saw Bachisagi and that's that lols)

I made this little ol' fic for a friend of mine- you know who you are ;) I decided I wanted to post it now cause why not? :D Here's some Bachisagi for the soul, folks! I hope you like it!

Summary: Bachira is in a major tickly mood and wants to play. The problem? The Top 3 aren't all that interested. And so- the longest wait for Isagi to return has begun.

“I GOTCHA!” Bachira cheered, running forward as he grabbed onto Aryu’s waist. The taller boy barely had time to react before Bachira was on him, fingers flying over his ribs, sides, stomach, hips, what he could reach he tickled. “Gotcha! Gotcha gotcha gotcha…gotcha?” He paused, confused on why he wasn’t hearing laughter.

Looking up, he found Aryu’s amused look meeting his own, lips quirked up in a smirk. “Very glam attempt, Bachira- but I’m not ticklish.”

“What? No way- you have to be! Here? Here?” He gave his knees and thigh a squeeze- nothing! “Not even your feet or armpits or neck?”

Aryu raised an arm, and Bachira scribbled under it. Not even a giggle.

“Wow. I never knew anyone who wasn’t ticklish.” Bachira blinked, amazed. Then his eyes widened when Aryu turned to look at him, a grin pulling at his lips. “Sihihihlly me~”

“Very silly.” Aryu reached out, and Bachira braced himself-

For a pat on the head. He blinked.

“Silly but glam. I respect the hustle.” Aryu nodded before returning to his original goal- leaving Bachira standing there oddly disappointed.

Tokemitsu sighed as he finished working out, sitting on the nearby bench with a towel over his head. The perfect time to strike! Bachira giggled, slowly approaching the older boy as he drank water. “Toke~MITSU!” He yelled in glee, jabbing his fingers into the buff boy’s ribs.

“PFFFT-” Water flew everywhere as Tokimitsu choked, coughing and laughing between each breath. Bachira blinked, suddenly worried he killed him, but then Tokimitsu was just giggly and he took that as a sign to keep going.

“Ahehahahhahahahhahaha! B-Bahahahahhahchirahhahahahahaha!” He cried, going stone still as he curled into himself and laughed. “Dohohoohohon’t it tihihiihhiihckles!”

“Does it now? Well come on then- fight back!” Bachira teased, drilling his fingers along the backs of Tokimitsu’s ribs, making him arch and cackle. “Make me stop, Toke~”

“Ahehahahhahhahaha! Gehahahahahahahaha! Aahah-EHEHEHEHEHHHH!” And then he was off, running for the hills and out of the gym. Bachira began to follow, but blinked when he saw Tokimitsu nowhere in sight.

That uneasy disappointment settled in his chest once more.

“Rin! Rin, Rin, Rin!” Bachira bounced up, fingers poised. “I’m gonna-”

“If you touch me, you die.” Rin growled, eyes cold and dangerous.

Bachira instantly retracted- he knew the difference between a halfhearted threat and a hard stop. Rin was clearly not in the mood. “Eh…fair enough. Well- want to practice together? We can make a bet! Loser get to…” Bachira watched as Rin faded away from the conversation- literally. Before he could even wager anything, the other boy was halfway across the soccer field, practicing drills.

“Man, and I was gonna let you win, too.” Bachira huffed, falling back against the wall and sinking into the grass. Joining the Top 3 was both a blessing and a curse. Sure- he definitely evolved as a player and his soccer improved, but he was so…lonely. He missed Team Z- at least there was someone always in the mood to play with him when he got like this.

Someone…Isagi.

Oh, how he missed Isagi.

The boy who was so unyieldingly present- who’s playful moods seemed to align almost perfectly with his own, meaning he always had company. Even when they didn’t, Bachira could at least have a friend- here he felt strangely out of place despite being here for over a week. The Top 3- for the most part- were nice enough, but it just wasn’t the same.

He missed his blue eyed monster companion. His chest ached longingly for him.

…..Huh. When’d he start feeling that?

Silly. He chided himself. You’ve always felt that way since the beginning. It’s just even more present now that he’s not here.

Bachira sighed, bringing his knees up to his chin. He wanted Isagi back.

A ball came rolling to his feet, followed by legs. For a brief moment, Bachira wondered if he got his wish.

But when he looked up, blue eyes were teal, and soft blue hair turned green. “If you want to run drills, hurry up.” Rin scoffed, looking away. Bachira’s eyes may have been playing tricks, but he swore he saw a faint flush on his ears. “Either that or mope somewhere else.”

“Aww, worried about me?” Bachira cooed, grinning when Rin scowled, his ears reddening further. “I’m fine- but I’ll gladly take your offer.”

It wasn’t exactly what he wanted, but it would have to do.

Then Isagi was leaning against the wall when they came out, eyes only for Bachira and a challenge on his lips.

“Yo Bachira. I’ve been looking for you.”

“I can’t BELIEVE it! Luck? Ugh, what irony!” Isagi flopped backwards against his new bed, freshly washed and mildly embarrassed. He had gotten back from bothering Rin- apparently he slipped and fell on him when attempting a Yoga pose. Bachira had been giggling up a storm for the past few minutes, so much so when Rin did return he tossed his towel in his face and grumbled something about “Should have picked the lazy guy.”

“Still, you’re here!” Bachira grinned, flopping across Isagi’s prone form with bright eyes. His heart couldn’t stop beating- and he may have cried in the shower earlier. He was just booming with emotions tonight- Isagi was BACK!

That fear in his chest regarding who he’d pick if he won still hung around, but he could tuck it away. Isagi was home!

“I am!” Isagi sighed, something like relief in his eyes as he turned to look at Bachira. “I can’t believe he picked me. I was worried for a second there!” He laughed, reaching out and taking Bachira’s cheek in his hand. “But we’re together, and I won’t let you slip away from me ever again.”

That fear released some, but the question was still on his lips. “Isagi..would you have picked me? If you guys won?”

“Yes.” There was no hesitation. Isagi’s eyes were dark with genuinity. “You’ve always been my pick.”

The fear vanished completely, and Bachira smiled, eyes starting to grow wet. “Thank you…”

“Ugh, you two are insufferable.” Rin groaned from his bed, earning a knowing smile from Aryu as he dried his hair. “Why the hell did we pick him again?”

“You picked him, Rin-Rin. In fact- I think your exact words after we left ego was “Now that bob-cut weirdo can be happy again.” Very glam on your end.” The older boy pulled his hair free, pausing when eyes were on him. “Was that a secret?”

“Kinda?” Tokimitsu offered, smiling sheepishly at Rin’s stunned embarrassment, face slightly flushed as he glared into the floor. Bachira and Isagi gawked, looking from Rin to Aryu to Tokimitsu to each other.

“Aw, RinRin~” Bachira began.

“That’s so-” Isagi followed up.

“Shut up! Don’t say anything- ugh, I’m showering.” Rin grumbled, standing from the bed and storming out, face on fire. No one pointed out he had just come back from it.

“Who knew he was such a softie?” Bachira asked when he was gone, earning a chorus of giggles and smiles.

“We have to pay him back sometime.” Isagi nodded.

“Later.” Bachira flopped into him, smiling. “Right now, I just want to be with you.”

It wasn’t much time later when the playful feeling returned.

Bouncing on his heels, Bachira poked his head through the door, finding Isagi plopped across one of the many yoga mats. He looked tired and happy and comfortable- all perfect attributes for Bachira’s mood.

Hopping in, he did a little tippy toe dance before dramatically sighing, falling back on his butt, then his back. He looked up at Isagi with big eyes as he stretched out across him, a smile on his lips.

Isagi, who had been half-paying attention till Bachira’s unceremonious lap attack, met his eyes with a head tilt, a grin pulling on his mouth. “Hello there. Come here often?”

“Only when you’re around.” Bachira snuggled up, poised and waiting.

Isagi snorted, shaking his head as he looked around the barely crowded gym. Chigiri and Nagi were running on the treadmills- well; Chigiri was. Nagi was all but snoozing as he walked slowly up one. Rin was stretching, surprisingly engaged as he talked to a light blue haired boy across from him. Barou was doing weights- shirt off and drenched in sweat.

All lost in their own little worlds. He doubted any of them would notice them.

“Lucky me. And here I thought I’d be stretching alone.” Isagi gave his arms a good one, flinching and giggling when fingers prodded his ribs. “Whahat?”

Bachira’s hands went back across his belly, folded and patient. His smile never dropped as he watched Isagi, waiting.

“Oh, so that’s how it is?” The blue eyed striker grinned, raising his hands high and wiggling his fingers. “You want to play huh?”

“Yes please.” Bachira breathed out, as if he was being relieved of a consistent pain. “I’ve been wanting to forever.”

“Ah, I see.” Isagi’s playful grin grew a bit soft, eyes warm as he drew out the anticipation. Then he struck, going right for Bachira’s waist. The smaller boy let out a squeak and an arch before bursting into giggles, squirming in his lap. “Ahehahahahhahahha! Isa-Isahahhahahahgihihihihiihhi!”

“Is this what you wanted? You wanted someone to tickle you for a while now, huh?” He cooed, bringing both hands up and across Bachira’s ribs in spidery motions. “I bet you were waiting forever for this. I bet you wanted someone to tickle you the entire time I was gone, huh?”

“Ahehahahahhahha! Mhahahahhahybeheheheheehehe?” Bachira giggled out, cheeks red and eyes squeezed shut with mirth. He didn’t bring his arms down from behind his head though, keeping them tucked there as he giggled and squirmed. “Whhohohohohoho’s to shahahahhahahahy?”

Isagi chuckled, drilling his fingers into Bachira’s highest rib and earning a proper squeal. Arms shot down as Bachira tried to loosely block him out, hands curling into fists to avoid reaching out and grabbing him. “Look at you- you won’t even fight back! Something tells me you’re loving this! So, let’s ask the important question.” He paused his attack, leaning over the other. “Do you want me to keep being gentle or go right for your back?”

Bachira gasped, sucking down greedy breaths as he weighed the options. Gentle or his worst spot. It would feel nice to cut loose and cackle like a goon while Isagi scratched at his shoulder blades…

But then he remembered they were in a public space, and while that never stopped him in the past, something about right now felt special. Like going all out was their thing and he wanted to keep it that way.

“Gheehhentle, plehahahse.” He decided, worried for a second, Isagi was gonna press. Instead, the blue eyed boy above him smiled in understanding, fingers tapping over Bachira’s belly and making him squirm and giggly once more.

“I gotcha, Bumblebee.” He grinned when the other went bright red, hiding his face in his hands as he giggled and kicked. “Oh, you like that?”

“Suhuhuhhuhuuhuhush!” He giggled out, squeaking when Isagi massaged his hip. His whole body tingled happily with each wave of laughter until finally- Isagi came to a stop, brushing back his messy bangs so he could really take in Bachira’s smiling face. “Aheheheheeheh….ehheheheehellohohoho thehehehehere.”

“Hello to you too.” He leaned in to kiss him-

There was a sudden crash. The two looked over as Nagi tumbled off the treadmill, phone flying as he rolled backwards. “Nagi!” Chigiri yelped, staggering off his own machine and rushing to the pale boy. Barou all but dropped his weights as he ran over too. “Say something!”

“.....Zz-Huh?” Nagi blinked, eyes heavy with sleep. “Did I win the marathon?”

“Dumbass.” Barou shook his head as Chigiri collapsed across the older boy, shoulders shaking with laughter. “He’s fine.” He called out to the gym, turning back to his weights.

“Well, that happened.” Bachira giggled, reaching up and pulling Isagi’s pouting face back to his own. “Where were we?”

“Oh? Ah, right.” Isagi smiled, giving him a quick peck before standing up. Bachira blinked up at him, intrigued. Then a hand was offered and he was pulled up and into Isagi’s arm, the taller boy scooping him up with ease.

Wow…when’d Isagi get so strong?

“Come on- let’s pick this back up in our room. I have some spots I want to try.” Isagi grinned, the thumb against Bachira’s back wiggling some and making the younger boy giggle.

“Take me away, Isagirin~” He sang, arms around his neck as he swung a foot, hanging on as Isagi all but ran to their room.

It was the longest wait in history, but with Isagi back on his side, it was worth it.

When Yagami first meets Matsugane, he wears a satin red and white zip up varsity jacket, medium wash blue jeans, and red and white skate shoes.

Yagami has a slim and athletic build, which allows him to move with fluidity and grace while fighting. He has medium-length black hair in a messy middle part. As a teenager, his hair was dyed brown and slicked back.

While in court, he wears a gray tweed two-piece suit with a red and white regimental striped necktie, a pair of brown dress shoes, and his attorney pin on his lapel. In several flashbacks to 2015, his hair is shown to be slicked back in a much more conservative style. He dislikes how he looks when he wears a suit.

Yagami's standard outfit is a black asymmetrical zip up leather moto jacket with snap-down lapels and epaulettes over a fitted white tee-shirt, a pair of blue medium wash washed out skinny jeans that are distressed around the knees, and a pair of white low-top sneakers. He also wears a wireless earpiece in his right ear. He has a chain on his jeans, which attaches to his wallet to prevent it from being stolen.

Matsugane (✝️):

Matsugane saw himself in Yagami and raised him as a son. Yagami would later be introduced to Ryuzo Genda, who paid for his education and supported him as he went through law school, and offered him a part-time job at the Genda Law Office. Yagami spent his first paycheck on buying a coffee maker for Matsugane.

Genda:

After graduation, Genda offered Yagami a full-time job as an attorney and later became something of a paternal figure to the latter

Khaori’s witch looks like this. Its nature is evasive. The witch resembles an eel skeleton that hides in her labyrinth, her familiars are other sea creatures such as crabs and goldfish with human legs. They collect possessions of emotional importance from in and out side of the labyrinth and bring them back to decorate the hermit shell the main witch hides in. The main witch’s mouth looks like a stump of a severed limb pouring out a dark red photo developing acid. The angler fish bulb suspended over its head flash bangs any suspected danger, allowing the witch to get away, and prints a photo thru the mouth side of the two holes on either side of its head. One side has a mouth with teeth around a eye shaped hole, the other side with eyelashes you can see thru to the brain floating in the acid. Sorry these are just uncolored sketches! These are the only ones I’m happy with LOL.

Asami’s witch looks like this. Its nature is to endure. Fueled by a firey rage it uses its massive arms to climb around its labyrinth, which looks like a toy town where all the buildings are seashells and a couple skyscrapers here and there. The skyscrapers have large pegs or weapons plunged into them that the witch herself climbs on. The sky is a blanket of clouds with silver lining and droplets of gold and silver and glass are suspended on chains like rain. The witch herself has an aggressive nature despite her small size, and can stretch like an accordion. The roots coming from the body can also reach and attack/climb like tendrils. Its familiars are toy mice with different flowers instead of eyes and wheat for fur. These familiars search for a way out of the labyrinth but can never find one, only leading around their witch to taller and taller skyscrapers. I apologize that these are also uncolored.

Oh boy I don’t want make this too long so here’s an image of Mitsu and Jundo but I won’t get into their stories n stuff. It’s complicated. All you need to know is that they’re in gay love <3 No witch concepts yet. Mitsu on the left, Jundo on the right.

Haru I’ve got very little on her that’s solid. She’s the youngest magi I have, contacted at 8/9 and currently 12, a veteran who’s every “party” she’s been a part of died. She has the ability to fly and scouts, but because she’s especially young others prioritize her safety, even when they are more at risk. No witch design yet.

Bluebell I made like forever ago for a contest, she is based on the legend of Bluebeard. Image ID for the photo in the Alt Text.

A very brief summary of her character is that she’s kind of a merge of Bluebeard and the 7th wife in a twisted bad way. She’s like a Kira deathnote type, who kills people she believes to be evil. Her wish was to know her boyfriends deepest secret, and upon learning he was a serial killer she killed him and starts using her power to kill other criminals, becoming the serial killer. Her morals quickly deteriorate and she becomes extremely judgmental, looking into people heads and taking their intrusive thoughts or any secrets they have and deciding if they should be punished or not. Because she spent her time enacting her “judgment”, detrimental to her magic and her mental health, she witchifies. Her witch is a gargoyle, a guard of nasty secrets. Some of its familiars are gossipers (similar to the uwasa spreaders in magireco) who follow rumors and upon finding someone with a nasty secret brings the other familiars, knights that bring anyone from inside or outside the labyrinth to the witch for their judgement. If they are judged unworthy by the gaze of the gargoyle they are impaled on the layers of fences and gates that guard the witch to set an “example”. I have no image of Bluebell as a magical girl that I am solid on soooo. Yeah. Just have the witch.. made yrs ago and also needs an update..

I don’t have a ton of info on her witch, but it’s familiars are like Mario style piranha plants and Venus fly traps with actual teeth l, fangs and molars, whose mouths are shut by belts, general dangerous plants you would find in a jungle, corpse flowers and pitcher plants, as well as monstress flies of varying sizes and mutation. The labyrinth is like a overgrown greenhouse with massive jungle plants.

As for her not knowing he likes to doodle (or at least used to?)...... Well.....I thought the scene indicated it was more-so in the past. So I'm guessing he doesn't do it now (or at least as often). And tbh unless he was like....Yusuke or something (wait is this happening because of Kanji/Yusuke.....I'm not going to look into that moving back!), you know an artist. I think Mitsu would've noticed. She's very......perceptive/wary of everyone's needs and that includes Akihiko.

As for the 3rd years closeness. I def think they are close (oh I was going to link to an old post.....did I never post it? hm.....we'll I guess I'll state it here from what I remember).

Shinji/Mitsu I don't see interacting much (most of it is in the PQs or P3R imo). But ShinjiAki and AkiMitsu? Hell YES. I think Aki is ironically the glue for these guys.

ShinjiAki are obvie because of how much the game spends on them. But the MitsuAki friendship???? Oh man....these two are RIDE OR DIE. TT0TT Like they usually understand each other's needs so well.

I feel like they speak about each other fairly casually, not in the Japanese sense but.....like they just will say stuff about each other "Oh yeah that sounds like them, that's what they like" and it's easier to notice with ShinjiAki cause I feel like it's baked more into the main story and AkiMitsu is mostly optional dialogue.

But the thing that made me super soft for them was when Yukari 1st confronts the group pre Yakushima. And demands to know stuff and Mitsu started almost spilling her trauma.

Mitsu: Anyway not all of us had a choice to fight.... I.... Aki: Mitsuru! Don't.....

This means.....Aki knows about what Mitsuru has gone through. Him not wanting her to spill everything I think he knows how much her own past has hurt her (not just her family's). She was more open talking about her family, and he didn't stop her. But when she almost talked about herself, I think he knew it might be too hard for her and told her to stop for her sake.

Between this and Mitsu covering up Shinji's killing (which I'm sure she feels responsible for not just the death but the cover up as well). And just trying to navigate Ken with Akihiko and keep it covered up..... The fact all three keep it covered up (and Ikutsuki is just...watching with pop corn TT0TT). They def are close.

(I was about to move on but I forgot the other thing!)

So another instance is after Mitsu's dad's death, if you talk to Aki during this timeframe, he legit says "When Mitsu is sad, I'm sad" and Fuuka(?) will comment on how upset he seems. Like this mfer is more upset looking when Mitsu is grieving than when Shinji died. TT0TT I was SO SOFT! My heart was in pieces kldfsaj;fa orz ;aljskfdjaf I still haven't recovered. I went from "yeah I like them they're neat' to "oh god my heart I love this ship gimme more" klfasdfl orz why do they hide all their amazing dialogue in optional convos????? orz orz orz Wait I saved the screenshots cause I was so shooketh! TT0TT

Ahem....ANYWAY!

I feel more for the 3rd year trio and their comradery than....well......the beginning Trio (MCs/Yukari/Junpei). Even the penta 2nd year group (MCs/Yukari/Junpei/Fuuka/Aigis) isn't that strong. Fuuka feels closer to Natsuki than the rest of SEES tbh TT0TT And Natsuki doesn't even get that much screentime u_u

The only trio that comes as close to the 3rd year is the moonlight bridge one (MC/Aigis/Ryoji).

Of course I feel like he game nerfs AkiMitsu's closeness in favor of pushing the bs MitsuYuk*ri friendship narrative >_> I dunno why Aki never approached her......was it helplessness? I dunno it feels weird.

So I guess narratively.....I guess they are kinda like friends who sit in the same room in silence, and then every so often to reveal a random fact about themself and the other is like "Oh wow cool" but they both really like that and thus will hide a dead body for the other person if needed. Like

*Aki/Mitsu/Shinji reading in the lounge* Mitsu: I found a nice cook book recently, would you like it Aragaki? Shinji: .........uh....yeah... Mitsu: Great I'll give it to you later.... *time passes* Aki: I broke a guy's nose at my last meet. Shinji: Good going meat head. Mitsu: That reminds me of when I broke a researcher's nose when I was 10. Shinji: Oh yeah? Why'd you do it? Mitsu: He wanted to test a new drug on me, it made my persona go a bit wild. But we all lived in the end. Aki/Shinji: ........................huh....... *time passes* Aki: I saw some guys bullying that one shrine dog. Shinji: Let's kill him. Kirijou- Misu, getting off the phone: I've already made the arrangements.

I dunno that's kinda the surface level vibe they give off. TT0TT They know A LOT of the key stuff about each other, but don't seem to pry unless the other party starts it.

a big toxic trait of mine is adding fuel to the fire. if there’s some shit going on between us, i will make things worse because i live for the drama and that pain i get in my chest (idk it feels nostalgic don’t come for me). like expect me to be the biggest bitch there is. fuck being the bigger person, let me rage!!!

I'm not saying it's healthy, but I see these playing well with Ran. I don't think he's above a little fighting just for the spicy make ups and while you burning yourself to feel isn't ideal, it works for you two...for a while. Ran's habit of lovebombing when he gets the inkling that you've been distant keeps you around, certainly. For what it's worth, he does love you, he just expresses it poorly, and with tactless timing that amplifies how toxic things can get/seem. Maybe lets consider Ran a summer fling before you meet Sanzu, perhaps.

Mitsuhide's rejection: were there signs?

I recently finished rereading Akagami Volume 19 and 20, since the official English translations just came out. These volumes contained Mitsuhide's rejection of Kiki's proposal and the immediate aftermath. I had a lot of thoughts!

I know that a number of fans were upset with Sorata-sensei when MitsuKiki didn't happen, and also thought that she'd tricked them into believing it was a for sure thing. But sensei is a really good storyteller, and personally, I feel like she left hints on how Mitsuhide stood on things. There was definitely foreshadowing.

Exhibit A: Mitsuhide isn't comfortable with physical intimacy with Kiki.

In Chapter 44, when Mitsuhide and Kiki fight about Kiki not telling him about her deadline to leave the castle, there's a scene where Kiki naps on Mitsuhide. This is before Kiki announced to her dad she would propose when the time comes, and before she told Zen she was going to eventually propose to Mitsu. From Kiki's side, you see a hint of something beyond friendship. Clearly she's trying to initiate something here. But Mitsuhide's face isn't one that has romantic feelings for Kiki at this moment. He is a person that wears his heart on his sleeve, so it's not like he's hiding it or anything like that. If someone I liked was leaning against me like this, this is not the face I would wear. He seems uncomfortable and out of his depth.

It's not that Mitsuhide shies away from physical affection in general - we've seen him initiate hugs with Zen plenty of times. But with Kiki he'll only do it in a group (i.e. group hugging Zen and Kiki or Obi and Kiki).

We see how physically guarded he is with Kiki in the special Sereg chapter too. Hisame pulls a prank which forces Kiki and Mitsuhide to share a room. Instead of using it as an opportunity to get closer, Mitsuhide ultimately is so uncomfortable, he makes Hisame switch out with Kiki.

Mitsuhide is so conscious of trying to maintain his boundaries with Kiki, not wanting to treat her differently because she's a female knight, that he would rather share a room with Hisame, who at this point in canon Mitsuhide studiously tries to avoid. Mitsuhide not only suggests they call him, he actually looks relieved when Hisame shows up.

Exhibit B: He can be uncomfortable with emotional intimacy around Kiki as well.

It's not just about being physically guarded around her though, as we saw in Ch 44 and the Sereg special chapter. He can also be closed off emotionally. Here in this scene, Kiki is being sincere and thanking him for his concern, but he doesn't properly acknowledge her sincerity or her feelings at first. He did this with Kiki's proposal too in Ch 92. Hisame scolded him and then he had that other more candid convo with Kiki only after, where he properly explains to her why he turned her down.

Exhibit C: Mitsuhide's main priority has always been Zen

Mitsuhide has repeatedly told Kiki how his first priority is Zen. In fact, when Kiki and Mitsuhide had their fight in Chapter 44 about Kiki leaving the castle, Mitsuhide's first concern wasn't the fact that Kiki would eventually leave his side, but rather that she could no longer be by Zen's side.

I think this is what ultimately makes Kiki and Mitsuhide incompatible. Kiki has her own duties and dreams she wants to pursue in Seiran; serving Zen is part of that journey to become a better countess. She can't stay at Zen's side forever and her time to depart is getting closer and closer. While both Kiki and Zen are incredibly important to Mitsuhide and he loves them both, if he had to pick one of them, he would pick Zen. He does pick Zen, in the end.

Hi, again! I have to admit that the end of this chapter intrigued me quite a bit. I definitely wanna see where they’re going with Shinoa’s powers over demons. After a lot of time spent on angel flashbacks, it’s a good reminder that the humans have unique roles to play. I liked seeing the Shinoa squad, although spending time on crushes I’m not particularly invested in and making very vague, somewhat redundant plans was kinda boring. I enjoy some good girl talk, but I’m not particularly excited about having so many different groups working towards basically the same goal. It’s similar to what you pointed out about Saito still not siding with The First. It sorta seems as if everyone is stating similar values but personal issues are stopping them from just working together and actually accomplishing shit. Idk maybe it’s just me, but I think some of the most engaging and productive moments happened bc of the dynamics within the alliances. As of now, there’s at least 4 different factions, which truly seems unnecessary at this stage. Regardless of how happy an ending we get, I’d feel a bit unsatisfied if 1/4 groups succeeded at the expense of all the others failing. No matter which group it is, because they all have an interesting perspective and feel like protagonists in unique ways. I’m lowkey rooting for them all, so I’d really prefer if they could just compromise lol. I’m sure that solution is way too idealistic of me, but it’s not my fault Kagami wrote such sympathetic characters 😔

First off, oh my god! You remember! I didn’t expect that. At the time of posting this, yes, it would have been four days ago, but you sent this Tuesday so you were pretty spot on! Thank you so much! I did have an okay day!

I’m actually excited to see where Shinoa’s powers go as well! For quite some time now, the story has hyped Shinoa up as being special and ‘the perfect experiment’ or however it was phrased, but we’d had no real indication of it until now. It’s about time we shifted from tell to show. I’m hoping it gives her a bit more agency. However, I will say that Shinoa, or really rather how Kagami writes her, does disappoint me a bit in other ways, which leads me to the next thing you bring up.

I don’t hate Yuunoa. I don’t care for it either, but the fact that this chapter sorta confirms that Shinoa doesn’t have that much of a driving force outside of it makes me quite sad. You could argue that other Hiragis (Mahiru and Shinya) have a similar thing going on and they do, but there’s more than that, even if the story prefers bringing up Guren as their main motivation instead. Mahiru has the whole thing with wanting agency to live how she wants (which ties to Guren but I firmly believe can stand on its own) as well as wanting to protect Shinoa, as twisted as her methodology was. Shinya also had his goal of wanting to break free from the Hiragis before Guren became what he’d rather stand for. Being able to see that shift adds quite a bit of depth to that.

What else does Shinoa have going on really? As she says her she doesn’t feel like she has much reason for living, so she mind as well have this fight with Mitsu over Yuu be that driving force. You could say it’s similar to Yuu since he’s sorta said Mika is his reason for living, but I honestly wasn’t a huge fan of that either. I liked how Yuu was, at one point, able to somewhat move on and live for others (the Shinoa squad and Guren at the time) he was getting better in a way! But I don't want to rant for too long. End of the day, I kinda wish Shinoa had goals that didn't center around Yuu, even if she ended up dropping them at some point. As she said, she's really just been along for the ride her whole life.

It's nice to see Mitsu actually back and doing something though! Mitsu fans come get your food! I too wish they'd talked about something else, but what can you do I guess. It's just nice to see her. The focus hasn't been on her in SO long.

Now the whole Shinoa Squad being a new group. Yeaaaah this is driving me a bit insane as well. Weren't they just working with Guren, Mahiru, and Ferid? Why is that suddenly changing? I get that it's because they think them untrustworthy, and I get it to a degree, but it's exactly as you said. There's just SO many groups that are fighting for similar things that it's become kinda weird? Like... why did Guren and Mahiru even let the Shinoa Squad run off? They don't appear to be around, and I know that their priority is probably Yuu, but it feels weird that they're suddenly just elsewhere now when they were working together last we saw. It feels like we're missing something here. Anyways. I can't imagine these groups won't join up later, but the fact that we now have to follow 3 different groups (with there being 5 or maybe 6 factions atm) is going to make for an even more disjointed story. And that's one of the big problems with OnS. It's story is kind of all over the place and it can be difficult to follow with how much it jumps around and drops plot points and characters for no reason only to pick them up later like nothing happened. Nothing I've seen here instills me with confidence that this problem will get better.

That all being said, I didn't hate the chapter. Shinoa squad as a whole hasn't felt like they've been the main focus since the Nagoya arc and while I don't think we'll be following them for too long, it's about time they became more relevant. Maybe what I'm saying is a bit contradictory since I just complained about different factions, but hey, there's some pay off here with Shinoa and her abilities like I mentioned earlier, so idk. It's something.

A thing I really enjoy about the Arakawas is that--while some say Ichiban and Arakawa actually being blood-related undermines the found family themes--the themes are reinforced in so many different ways and so well. It's exactly like you said, they find one another without even knowing it; I think even Jo took a while to put two and two together, if I remember correctly.

A detail I always come back to is the way that, at least in their teens, Ichi and Masato both resemble the "opposite" dad more than their own; Masato's the clean-cut introvert with the loving father living in relative comfort and Ichi's the scrappy youth with no father, roaming the streets and picking fights for money.

Like I joke about Masato having two brown-haired parents and ending up with black hair and Ichi having (at least one) black-haired, brown-eyed parent and ending up with brown hair and gray eyes, and I know it's genetically possible, but it just works so well. (Also never going to stop thinking about how, initially, the reason Ichi has a punch perm is because he was supposed to be "copying" Arakawa, though that design for Arakawa didn't end up sticking.)

Of course, both of them start to resemble their bio dads more as they age, but still. And I think there's an argument to be made that Masato is purposely designed in a way where both Jo and Arakawa could believably be his biological father, but if I were to go a step further, I think that design sensibility applies in some ways to Ichiban, too.

I'm definitely not a Jo Was Ichiban's Biological Father truther, but I would consider myself a Jo Is Ichiban's Last Remaining "Family" truther. And in forming a "cohesive family unit" that both transcends and demonstrates blood ties, I think the design and writing choices are significant.

I probably wanted to bring it up in the previous ask about Jo and Arakawa's relationship but either forgot or thought it meandered too far, but the way Ichiban says in the epilogue he's "reporting to" Arakawa about Jo's prison sentence, like it's something he should know and would want to know--the fact he even followed the case closely enough to know the sentencing before Nanba told him--is such a big deal to me. Also. When Ichi said "Look, I like this life with Arakawa-san, the captain, and even you!" to Mitsu despite Jo giving him no reason to be happy to have him in his life. OOGH.

I also don't want to (publicly) go off the deep end too much with Y8 and Gaiden speculation, but I of course think it's notable that Jo and Arakawa bookend the voices addressing Ichiban at the start of the Y8 teaser trailer as well.

According to Yokoyama, the lines were all newly-recorded for the trailer, except Arakawa's which is from "a flashback scene" (I haven't had a chance to actually take a listen and verify which one, if it's from Y7). However, I have... no idea what Yokoyama meant when he said (roughly) "Don't miss Sawashiro's line at the start! But there's still a while to go, so we'll see." Yokoyama. Please. What Do You Mean By That. What Will We See.

Honestly, I don't think Arakawa and Ichiban being related by blood undermines the found family aspects of Y7 either. They still exist, especially in Ichiban and his friends. Moreover, I don't think it'd be right just to constrain Y7's themes to 'found family' and to extend the idea to 'familyhood' as a whole: it's fairly apparent a theme in the game is that it shouldn't matter if two people are related by blood, all that matters is the bond between them and the roles they play in each other's lives (as Ichiban asserts at the end of the game not just with Arakawa and Kasuga-san being his dads, but with Masato and how Ichiban saw their brotherhood).

Ichiban and Masato having aspects of both Jo and Arakawa- though blatantly logical in Masato's case- is funny/interesting for Ichiban's (I know I kept joking about teen Ichiban and Jo having the same haircut, so I've definitely noticed at least some parallels between them lmao). To continue, I do agree that even if Jo isn't a great family figure to Ichiban, it's still inarguable he is a part of Ichiban's family and exists as the last connection between Ichiban's life before and after prison, so it's fair he should have some bits of Jo a part of him as well. You mention it later on in this ask so I'll talk a little more about it then, but if the beginning line of LaD8 is anything to go off of, Ichiban doesn't harbor too much bad blood towards Jo anymore. I doubt they'll have a SUPER close relationship (especially with Jo in prison), but I think it's better that way frankly.

To extend on some previous bits of mine, these moments really do help solidify the family dynamic of the Arakawa Family. It might be a tidbit that's occasionally forgotten or overlooked, but Jo has been in Ichi's life just as much as Arakawa was. Evidently, Ichi didn't become attached to Jo like he did to Arakawa, but they've at least co-existed for just shy of a decade together. Especially with Jo being so close to Arakawa himself (never mind being the person Ichiban seems to report the most to), it's going to cause Ichiban to develop SOME kind of bond with him (though that doesn't automatically mean it'll be an amicable one). At the very least, and it might be a side affect of Ichiban's good nature, but it shows a lot that even after Jo was right about to amputate him, Ichiban doesn't harbor any ill will and- at most- just laments how he and Jo don't see eye-to-eye on what it means to be a yakuza. Maybe it's because this probably isn't a first-time occurrence, but coupled with his comment to Mitsuo, it's at least apparent Ichiban is trying to keep the peace between them. Especially when it comes to 'reporting' to Arakawa at the end, there are a few ways to take this activity honestly. It could be that Ichiban's devotion to Arakawa runs deep enough that he's willing to go out of his way to track Jo and keep him posted, but it's much more likely that Ichiban was motivated to keep watch of Jo's case not just for Arakawa's sake, but also for his own personal interest. Again, at this point Ichiban sees Jo as a part of his family despite their rocky relationship: family's a complicated subject anyhow, it's hard to understand why someone should feel inclined to care about someone when they don't give them a fair reason to.

And back to this bit I alluded to earlier, it's so funny you bring this up because I actually planned on talking about Jo's line in the LaD8 trailer the day this ask was sent (and by 'talk about it' I just meant hyping myself up by remembering it existed). I'm 99% certain Jo's line at the start is roughly 'It's been a while, Ichi', suggesting that Ichiban might be visiting him in prison in this potential scene. I don't want to speculate too much either in the case I give anyone a lot of hope, but it's definitely something I'm excited to see come to fruition next year! I'm also curious about the inclusion of Arakawa though. I don't doubt there'll be flashback segments in LaD8 due to the series' love for them, but if there are supposedly new lines, I wonder what those could be..

Here it is. Trust me I hate myself too *sigh* IM SORRY. But regardless of me being an absolute cunt with his chapter I hope you'll still enjoy it and feel engaging with t <3 Thank you so much for reading <3

We all lined up outside the gate, all the higher up wearing our sashes. Our face reflected nothing but determination, no matter how we felt towards each other, the only thing that mattered is to come out victorious.

"Be safe" Draken says as he glances down at me.

"Ain't I always?" I offer him a grin then crack my knuckles. "Toman won't fall, not here, not today"

Slowly the heavy metal gates opened and walked into the scrap yard along with all of Valhalla. Hanma just grinned as he looked at me making Draken clench his fist ready to murder this guy.

"Alright, you can either fight with your 5 best men...woman?" he suddenly questioned confused as he spotted me.

"Got a problem?" I barked at him and he just shook his head quickly.

"So ummm 5 best from each team... or just go kill each other I guess" he said with a shrug hwne he realized no one is listening to him.

"You ready?" Mikey raised his voice and all of Toman replied in unison. "Let's go!" he barked.

We were ready to jump when he walked in front of the Valhalla men. Glassy dead eyes, a psychotic grin, he was long gone, he was nothing more than a shell and a dark shadow of the guy he once used to be.

"Kazutora..." I clenched my fist and my body tensed up I was ready to kill him right on the spot.

"Ohhh lookie here, you're here too! Perfect time! Meanwhile you all came here to fight, we... came here to kill" he said with a laugh as he paraded around. "Catch me if you can, Mikey" he grinned at the blonde commander and bounced off.

"Kill them all" Mikey said in a dark tone before rushing after Kazutora.

"Mikey!" I yelled after him but it was too late already, before any of us would've had a chance to go after Mikey the brawl started.

I had no other choice but to focus on the fight. In the beginning it was pretty easy, we were swatting them like flies. Smiley was having the time of his life while everyone else had a big grin on their faces but as they just kept coming we started to take more and more punches and our stamina and energy started to run out.

"Is there ever a a fucking end to them?" I yelled annoyed as I punched another guy coming at me sending him to the floor.

"I don't know but I'm running out of energy and will..." Mitsuya admitted as he fell against my back for support.

"Don't you fucking give up on me Mitsu" I growled as I supported him with my back.

We were both panting and looked around and the sight was not promising, our men were tired, beaten, bruised, their once high spirit was crushed into the ground by the sea of Valhalla men, even Draken was covered in blood and seemed tired.

"I can't... We can't win this! Let's just give up!" one of our men yelled and we all stopped for a second.

"What..." my eyes widened and I clenched my fist as I left Mitsuya and walked up to the guy and yanked him on his feet. "You have some nerve. Your brothers fighting with every last drop of their strength to protect and claim victory for the family they created and here you are like a pathetic piece of shit giving up after a few punches" I hiss at him then look around at our gang. "Is that what we are? Pieces of shit who just gonna give up when things don't go our way?" I yelled at them. "We're men of Toman, we rather die than give up, we live and die for Toman, One for all and all for one now are there any other motherfucker who wants to give up and abandon Mikey?!" I yelled again with my chest heaving up and down, I was riled up. The thought of giving up on Mikey just gave me a whole new boost. The new wave of energy washed over me and as I looked over the fallen members of Toman got on their feet and yelled with a war cry and ran against Valhalla once again.

"Just, whatever would we do without you, Princess, huh?" Draken shouted at me then grinned as he got his spirit back and started knocking guys out left and right again.

"Lucky for y'all I have more balls than any of you" I laughed and carried on fighting.

The fight was starting to look up when I suddenly heard someone yelling Mikey's name. Took a minute to find the person then followed their gaze and my eyes widened and I froze in my place. Mikey was restrained by two Valhalla men while Kazutora approached him with a metal rod in his hand.

"MIKEY!" I screamed as Kazutora bashed Mikey's head with the rod and even from this distance I seen the blood flying. "Kazutora you're dead!" I yelled as I took off running towards the mountain of scrap cars as I watch Mikey go limp, when suddenly someone stepped in front of me. The first thing I noticed was the kanji of 'Sin' and 'Punishment' tattooed on his hands... Hanma.

"Well look at that we meet again, babe" he grinned at me then cracked his neck. "You're not gonna get to your precious Mikey, it's his turn to die. I thought it was obvious" he laughed as he looked at me.

"What the hell are you talking about?" I asked annoyed as I went to punch him but he dodged it with ease. I need to calm down, I'm getting sloppy.

"This whole thing, this whole fight. Do you really think we give a shit about Toman? No, it was just a very ease way to lure Mikey out and have his guard down so we can finally take him down" he smirked. "And now thanks to his cocky, arrogant attitude, not enough we will have his head on a silver platter, but we gonna have a new feisty pretty whore" he grinned as he licked his lips.

My whole body started to shake, as much as I was annoyed with Mikey, he still was our leader, our friend, our brother, he always believed in us and gave us purpose so I'll be damned if I let a worm kill him. I wouldn't be here without Mikey and if I have to I'll die while fighting for him. A whole new wave of strength rushed through me as I let my anger take over me and I just charged at Hanma at a speed that was almost inhuman, which he was unable to dodge and I just kept attacking him. Seeing nothing but red I was blinded by anger and didn't care if I kill him.

"MAYA!" Draken's voice woke me up from the murderous haze I was in. "He's already out, you're going to kill him!" he yelled at me. As I looked down I saw Hanma's bloodied, deformed face unconscious under my body as I was sitting on top of him. "Get to Mikey!"

Right, Mikey. That sentence woke me up and I just rushed through the sea of men punching anyone who got in my way and I started climbing the mountain when a voice stopped me, as I turned around I saw Baji in the Valhalla uniform.

"Don't, he got this" Baji said in a calm voice as he grabbed my wrist then motioned his head towards Mikey and Kazutora.

Mikey somehow got back on his feet and landed one of his famous kicks knocking Kazutora's lights out. I couldn't help but let out a relieved laugh then I turned back to look at Baji but my eyes widened as I noticed his white jacket slowly turning red. Behind him stood a very angry looking Toman man with a bloody knife in his hands.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?!" I yelled at him then charged at him and kicked him across the ground then rushed to Baji.

"Just a scratch" he grinned at me then looked up and growled as he noticed Kisaki standing by Mikey who lost consciousness again at this point. "I'm going to kill him"

"Let me help-" but he cut me off.

"No, Toman doesn't turn against Toman. Trust me" he gave me a grin then grabbed his hair tie and tied his hair up in a pony tail. "See you at the victory line" he winked at me then rushed up. He bounced from car to car fighting every guy off with ease. I couldn't do anything just watch.

Since I knocked Hanma out cold the majority of the Valhalla guys have retreated only a few dozen remained who were loyal to Kazutora. Baji quickly reached Kisaki and he was about to attack him when he suddenly coughed up a dangerous amount of blood and fell to his knees. "Baji!" I yelled panicked and I started climbing the cars but suddenly was stopped by Kisaki himself as he just walked off.

"Are you really going to betray Toman and help a Valhalla?" he asked in a serious tone and I wanted to punch him. He knew I was too loyal to Toman, even if I knew the truth Baji techincally was Valhalla, and Kisaki knew this very well. "Now be a good girl and don't disappoint Mikey" he smirked then walked off.

I clenched my fist and debated for a second but then I realized fuck betrayals, I didn't care about the consquences, I was just about to climb up to Baji when suddenly Kazutora appeared, who's unfortunately wasn't knocked out too well.

"You traitor. I have to kill you too apparently" he laughed then just stabbed Baji and pushed him off of the car.

"BAJI!" I screamed then I rushed over to him and just was able to break his fall with my body. "Baji, come on! Stay awake!" I yelled at him as my eyes started to tear up. "CHIFUYU, CALL AN AMBULANCE!" I yelled at his vice captain, hoping he was nearby and fortunately he was, he immediately fumbled with his phone and called an ambulance.

Suddenly I noticed a body flying above my head, once it landed in the dirt with a loud groan I realized it was Kazutora. I looked up and saw Mikey standing there with a dark, cold, empty look in his eyes as blood was pouring down his face. He slowly made his way down to Kazutora who was just staring and Baji and me and started muttering to himself as his eyes went blank again.

Mikey was about to punch Kazutora when Baji spoke up in my arms.

"Stop, you idiot" he said in a strained voice. "Help me up, princess" he looked up at me and I put his arm around my shoulder then carefully helped him stand.

"I don't want to hear a word you have to say Keisuke" Mikey said coldly.

"Yet you still wanna kill.. Tora for killing me..." Baji let out a strained chuckle.

"Shut up Baji, you're not gonna fucking die" I said annoyed as held him closer.

"I'm not gonna let you blame Tora for my death too..." he shook his head then before I could react he stabbed himself in the stomach with a knife, what I don't even know where he got from.

"BAJI!" I yelled as I collapsed with him. "The fuck are you doing, you idiot??" I cried as I was unable to stop my tears at this point.

"I don't want Mikey to kill his friend... Not for me." he shook his head. "I'm sorry to break our promise, bitch.." he chuckled then coughed up blood. "Where's Chifuyu?"

The short blonde man rushed up to us and kneeled beside us. "Yes, captain?"

"Thank you for always having my back... You're a great friend. I'm proud of you... don't lose yourself" Baji smiled at him then he looked at Mikey. "Don't lose your heart Mikey... don't let revenge eat you up" he said in a serious tone and Mikey just nodded slowly. "And you... take care of these fucking idiots... look after Toman, and Chifuyu...and especially Mikey, he needs his heart" he said in a strained but soft tone. "I have to break my promise, don't kick my ass, but how about we watch the sunset? One last time..." his voice trailed off as he slowly closed his eyes and I felt his body going limp.

I just broke down sobbing as I held Baji close to me and just sobbed into his chest. "I promise we'll watch the sunset..." I sobbed and the whole world just stopped. I didn't notice how we actually won the fight at this point, how everything ceased around us. Everything just... stopped. I was screaming into the nothing desperately clinging onto Baji, like it would magically bring him back.

"MIKEY!" Draken's frantic yelling echoed through the scrap yard waking me up from my shock.

It took my eyes a moment to adjust after being blinded by tears and as it became clearer and clearer I saw Mikey on top of Kazutora just punching him over and over again, with a dead, dark look in his eyes that I never seen.

He's gonna kill him...

"Mikey!" I yelled but it was like he wasn't even there. I gently handed Baji over to Chifuyu then I stood up with shaking legs. "Mikey... please..." I whispered as tears started to roll from my eyes.

"Angel, what are you doing?" Draken asked worried as I made my way towards Mikey and Kazutora.

"I'm gonna stop him if non of you have the balls for it!" I yelled at him then I rushed up to Mikey who was still smashing Tora's face and gathering all my remaining strength I punched him as hard as I can before collapsing over Kazutora.

"Holy shit..." I heard Mitsuya's shocked voice as I see him walked up to Mikey who just laid on the ground.

"Fuck... did I kill...him?" I asked in a tired and annoyed voice.

"Nope, but you knocked his lights out" Mitsuya chuckled.

"Good..." I sighed then I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my lower abdomen. As I looked down with hazy eyes I saw Kazutora's switch blade sticking out of my side. "You fucker... I'm not gonna give you the satisfaction to have Mikey kill you..." I hissed at him coldly and his grin slowly disappeared and it went blank. "You killed Shin and now you killed Baji... Think about that" I say coldly as I struggle a bit then stand up holding my side. Thankfully Draken and the others were busy scraping Mikey off the ground to realize what happened.

I slowly walk back to Chifuyu and fall onto my knees beside him and Baji. "Go, Chifuyu" I say as I once again take Baji in my arms and hold him close to me hoping it's just a bad dream and I'll wake up soon.

The Song of Shadow/ Latest Ninja events: A rant!

I think these events all began marking the anniversary of the moon arc or shadow arc of the app. and since then have been continuing, showing us the darker more sinister side of the shinobi world. With the new circumstances were introduced new characters. Some friends, some foes.

Sakuya's events began featuring a bright, spirited youngman Mitsu. While Gen's features a dangerous ninja who likes to say he's a painter: Eitoku. Eitoku wants Gen for himself for unknown reasons. Once again in the recent events Gen and MC encounter him again, but this time around he saves them, quoting, "You cant be wasted on others. Your life is mine and mine alone, Genya Fujibayashi."

Saku's opponents get stronger in the latest event as well. Mysterious ninja employs a band of other ninjas to route out Saku who's somewhat immune to a strange ninja technique that turns him into a puppet. Saku loses it in the fight and even turns his Kunai on the MC before finally coming to his senses. killings are rampant in the town, people dying as these ninjas employ strange ninja techniques. the mystery is still unsolved. danger is all around. Saku and MC are both wanted by the Iga.

then in Kyo's path, we encounter Iori, a koka ninja, who's meek and is always criticising himself coming to Kyo's side. He's the survivor of the strange killings of the Koka ninjas. For unknown reasons the koka ninjas are being hunted down. In the latest event, The Killers are closer than ever. They hurt Raita even and Kyo is enraged. Yet again another ninja leader is slain but the mastermind remains. And so does danger. Iori is determined to stay with Kyo, grow stronger to protect his people. Sasuke, Shima, Kyo, Iori and MC are fighting this battle of survival.

Hotaru and MC have been running into danger. With the old man Sandayu playing games with the duo, the danger has only multiplied. There's no telling what happens next.

Masanari and MC have it rough too. And Sasuke and MC... Well things are usual for them but Shinobi life is dangerous, as is. And MC and her clan are deserters. I also love how MC is getting stronger in her fights and is training with these men, always steadfast and inspiring them. Their bond has evolved so much, it's the most endearing thing

Once again the sinister side of ninja world is exposed in all of these events. Voltage is doing such a good job with these plotlines and the new ninja NPCs (yes they've been around for a while but they are newer compared to old ones) are all amazing. I surely hope these events will continue so we can see the end of it. And I hope these NPCs one day get their event stories, they would be hella interesting

While it is sad that the ninja sequels and certain routes haven't come to us English players, I am hanging on to these events. I wish we get to see the end of it

What do they each have to lose?

Masa really values her loved ones, whenever she does something morally questionable its always to protect someone she holds dear. Orochimaru and Kabuto often manipulate her, knowing this, but putting Daiki and Kimimaro (until his death) in unfavorable situations.

After Daiki's death she's extremely afraid of losing Kurono and joins the Akatsuki partially to be near her (when Mitsu is born she becomes quite a bit more protective). Also, she may have willingly chose to leave Gaara to join Akatsuki (knowing that he would try to kill her if she did) but she still doesn't want anything to happen to him. Even when she fights against him, she's trying to run away not confront him head on because she's afraid to lose him.

What are they attracted to?

She likes to act like she's only attracted to looks but the more you get to know about her the more obvious it is that that's not the case. What she's very much attracted to, platonically and romantically, are eyes and smiles. She feels that someone's eyes can really tell you a lot about a person and that someone's ability to smile at you is a precious gift that should be savored. Particularly, people who give rare smiles (like Gaara) she likes the most.

How’s their social life?

Her social life is pretty active after the war. Due to her and Kurono's contributions some of the Konohagakure villagers come to trust her (overtime) and some like Lee and Naruto she begins to consider to be her close friends, and she already had a pretty good relationship with Sasuke due to them both training under Orochimaru. She's also loves to spend time with Gaara and his siblings. Her and Kankuro often pull pranks on their favorite redheads together.

One of her favorite people outside of Konohagakure and Sunagakure is Killer Bee. One day she hopes to befriend him and she wants to try rapping with him. She's been to two of his concerts. She really likes everything about him.

What are their hobbies?

Thanks to Daiki she has a soft spot in her heart for music, she often hums when she's thinking really hard as well as when she's trying to comfort herself. After the war she finds that her love of music accompanies a love of dancing. As often as she can she'll try and get her loved ones, speficially Gaara, Kurono, Mitsu, Kankuro, and Temari, to dance with her.

She also has a bad habit of excess spending. Impulse buying is a big problem hobby for her; she especially will buy something if she thinks its cute. She has a room full of shelves of cute little knick knacks and that's after Gaara has made her get rid of a majority of them.

And whether she's on a mission or relaxing at home she loves to read. Some of her favorite books are the Icha Icha series, which she bought on accident because she saw the word Tactics and thought they were books about strategy. After finishing the series she keeps reading books like them but she finds that they can't fill the void Icha Icha has left.

Are they an introvert, extrovert, or ambivert?

She's more of an ambivert. At first she may seem rather quiet but that's just because she doesn't really pay much attention to anyone when she's first meeting them, but if she sees something about you she likes she won't be afraid to make the approach and initiate friendship. She does have rbf though so not many people approach her first and sometimes others don't like it when she approaches.

Are they right brained, left brained, or balanced?

Masa finds that she's pretty right brained after the war. She initially thought she would be left brained because of her thirst for knowledge and because she's right side dominant but that was not the case. She's rather creative when she puts her mind to it.

What are their most prevalent strengths and weaknesses?

Her biggest weakness is her fear, it constantly causes her to overreact and panic and when it comes to high intensity situations her emotionless mask cracks and she can't quite think before she acts. God forbid if anyone hurts her post-war Suna family, she might destroy the world in that case.

Her biggest strength is her genjutsu. Those who have lived to see it in action or lived despite experiencing it often compare it to Shisui's abilities with genjutsu, some say its better than his. It only gets stronger after she awakens her mangekyo and then again with her eternal mangekyo.

What are their goals and dreams?

Before Daiki's death her dream was to die in peace and obscurity with him by her side, after his death however it was partially to hurt Konoha as they had hurt her and protect Kurono, but Kurono obviously took more precedence as she chose Kuro over her revenge when push came to shove. After the war she often dreams of marrying the young Kazekage but refuses to act on it until the Sixth Hokage convinces her that she's allowed to be happy too.

What are their fears and insecurities?

She's afraid of the peace after the war all being snatched away, she's scared that one day Gaara will realize she's too terrible of a person to be worth his time and affection. She's scared she won't be able to protect those closest to her just like she was unable to protect Daiki and Kimimaro and she's afraid of eating animal intestines, they freak her out. Masa bares a lot of guilt.

She will never eat sausage.

What would they die for?

Of course, she would die for any members of her favorite Kazekage clan, after the war she feels so guilty for the lives she's taken that she'd probably give her life for anyone, much to Gaara's displeasure.

It had taken a while for Inosuke to come to appreciate this. Simple displays of companionship, reminders that fighting alongside another slayer wasn't a hindrance. It could only be a good thing.

He had always fought his battles alone. The smaller animals were great company, but they made for poor underlings. A mouse or a rabbit stood no chance against a wolf or a bear. Inosuke always had to defend his territory with his own strength, and his own strength only.

His battles as a slayer were no different, initially. Strength was only worth acquiring if he defeated enemies with his own power. Others would only get in the way, steal kills from him, and hinder his progression within the ranks.

... or so he believed, until he met Monjirou. The Hashira. Every single slayer he'd crossed paths with ended up bringing him something, and the pink-hair lady was no different.

"Me too! I think you're really strong! And I wanna fight with you again!" He blurted out, immediately feeling a great warmth sting at his cheeks.

"One day, I'll be a Hashira too! And we can fight together more!"

It was day 9 during the fighting against sakazuki and kuzan. Borsalino was at home 9 months almost about to pop. Setting up the table for dinner.

"Mitsu~! The diner is almost ready!" Hollering for Mitsu who was in her room. "Okay, papa!" Putting away her stuff she grabs a book and goes into the living room waiting for dinner to get finished.

"Papa?" Mitsu looks over at borsalino. What~ is it Mitsu? Borsalino asks. "Do you think dad is gonna come back soon?" Mitsu asked. "I'm sure~ he'll come back soon enou.. aggh!" Borsalino holds his stomach feeling a tight abdominal pain.

"Papa! Are you okay?!" Mitsu runs over to Borsalino's side. "Mmmhhh~" just a little bit of pain Borsalino smiles at Mitsu reassuring her that everything will be fine.

After dinner, Borsalino goes into his and Sakazuki's room looking through his hospital bag.

Breastfeeding pump, diapers, baby clo… as another contraction passes rubbing his back counting how long the contractions last. Picking up the transponder snail beside dialing tsuru.

Tsuru: Borsalino?

Borsalino: Neh~ gghh! Tsuru, can you watch mitsu?

Tsuru: Is it the baby?

Borsalino: Just come over, I'll be going to the hospital.

Tsuru: I'll be right over.

As Borsalino gets off the phone with Tsuru he goes to Mitsu's room and sits on her bed. "Mitsu~ I have to go to the hospital." Mitsu looks at Borsalino with worry written all over her face. "Is my sister okay?! What's happening?" Borsalino stands up with a hand on his stomach and one on his back. "Everything is okay, Mitsu… your sister is just ready to come out." He pats Mitsu's head. "Turu will be here soon."

"I have to go to the hospital." He tells Mitsu.

"Oh.. ok. I love you, papa." Mitsu hugs Borsalino's legs. "I love you too, Mitsu," says as Borsalino says as he pats her on the head.

After saying bye to Mitsu he Takes his bags and goes to the hospital. Meanwhile in the hospital nurses had gotten Borsalino and the baby hooked up to machines. His contractions had started to get worse with each passing second.

"Uuuggghhh!"

A female walks in with brown hair and blue scrubs. "Hello, Borsalino I'll be your midwife for your delivery." She takes one of the sea prisom stone bracelet, and putting it on his wrist.

"What is this for aagghh!" He asked. It is so you don't accidentally use your powers during delivery. She goes over to the table that she brought in with her putting on lubed gloves. She goes over to Borsalino spreading his legs.

"Now I'm going to check how many dilated you are." 10 is when you can push. "Now let's have a look." She checks and sees that he is 5 centimeters dilated. "You are dilated 4 to 5cm and your water is just about to break." She says.

"So it should be almost time now." She says with a smile she goes over her charts and then another nurse comes in.

" Hello, Borsalino."

"Are you in any pain?" She asks.

"Actually you should be giving birth pretty soon,'' she states. As she gets stuff ready for delivery.

"Can I get an epidural?" Borsalino asked the nurse as he groaned in pain.

"If you get the epidural now it will have a little bit of an effect."

"Effect?" He questioned the nurse.

"Yes, but don't worry too much."

We will be back soon and call us if the contractions get worse. The midwife and nurse leave Borsalino.

"Saka-san aaggh!"

[10 minutes later]

Uuggghhh!

Borsalino was never the type of person who showed off his feelings. But this must have been the worst pain he's felt in centuries.

As he pressed the call button the nurses came back in. "Hello borsalino-san." She checks his dilation again.

"Okay, you're 10cm which means you're ready to have your baby." She breaks his water and then she and the other nurse get him to the delivery room.

In the delivery room, they set Borsalino on the delivery table spreading his legs open. Okay on the count of three you start pushing okay? Borsalino nodds and they get ready to start. Okay… 1..2…3! Push! He pushes his chin against his chest as he starts to push. “Aaahhhhgggg ”

“Great Borsalino- san you're doing great!” The nurse says as his head falls back onto the pillow. When the next contraction hits I want you to do the same thing for me! She tells him in a very supportive voice. Borsalino nodds taking note as the next contraction hits a few minutes later pushing with all his might. “Ahhhhggg!! FUCK!” during the time in the delivery room Borsalino pushes for what feels like hours then he suddenly hears a loud wail.

“You did it Borsalino-san!” she says as she holds the baby up that was covered in some substances from the delivery. “You have a healthy baby girl!” as he looks up at his new child that he brought into the world his vision starts going black. And the last words he said was “Mai” before his head falls back on the pillow. Doctors rush over to Borsalino.

“HE STOPPED BREATHING! STARTING CHEST COMPRESSIONS!” The doctor stars pressing on Borsalino's chest after a few minutes they got him back putting him on oxygen then checking his vitals and letting him rest.

The next day

Borsalino wakes up in his hospital bed and the nurse comes in. “hi Borsalino-san how are you feeling?” she asks him with a smile on her face.

“Where is my baby?” He asks still in a state of tiredness and confusion.

“She is in the baby ward I'll bring her to you after I check your vitals,” she says

“Oh~ okay then,” he says

As she checks his vitals she tells him that he is “all good” and goes to get the baby from the baby ward. As she goes and brings her in she picks her up and hands her to Borsalino.

“So what are you going to name her?” she had asked

“Her name is Mai for dance.” he brushes her dark curly hair out of her face. As she starts to open one of her eyes he sees that she has the same grey eyes as his husband sakazuki.

Also Borsalino-san the admirals have returned from their battle and are both in the hospital,” she states and Borsalino looks over at her. waaaahhhh! Aaahhhh! Mai started crying in Borsalino's arms wiggling around her tiny arms. “Oh~ it's okay Mai.” he bounces her up and down in his arms.

“Borsalino-san she’s probably hungry do you want me to go get a bottle or are you ok doing it naturally?” she asks just before she was about to leave.

“I’m fine~ you can go” when she leaves Borsalino pulls his hospital shirt down and starts to breastfeed Mai she latches on and starts to drink. Just then Mitsu opens the door a little hiding behind it. “Papa?”

“Oh~ Mitsu come here.” as Mitsu comes over to Borsalino she pulls up a stool and climbs up on it. “Is that sister?” she asks with star-like eyes.

“Yes,” he states. “Where is Tsuru-san at?” he asks Mitsu “oh she went to go check on dad and Mr. kuzan.” She explains

“Did you know dad won papa?!” Mitsu says with excitement not getting the full gist of the situation. “Oh~ I guess I didn’t hear anything about that,” he tells her. Have you gone and seen him yet? He asks Mitsu with curiosity.

“No” she states “not yet really”

“I overheard one of the doctors talking about dad and they said that he wasn’t in bad shape when he came in,” she says looking up at Borsalino with a smile.

Why don’t we try and see him that~” says Borsalino he calls one of the nurses into his room. “Y..ye..yes Mr. Borsalino?” the new nurse stutters.

I~ heard that sakazuki was here is there any way we could see him with Mai? Borsalino asks the shy timid nurse. S..u..sure? “Let me go ask one of my superiors.” she runs off going to one of her upper nurse colleagues.

“U..um miss Hikari?” the nurse asks in a small voice. “What is it Megami? She answers back looking down at the smaller nurse. U..um Mr. Borsalino has requested to go see sakazuki and s..sh..ow him Mai.

she thinks for a minute before answering. “Fine.. just get him a wheelchair and then take them there.” she bows to her college and goes to get a wheelchair going back to Borsalino's room.

“He..here you go Mr. Borsalino I will take you and your daughter over to Mr. sakazuki’s room,” she says as she helps him get into the wheelchair his body still sore from the labor the day before. She puts Mai right back into his arms as Mitsu is right by his side waiting for her to lead the way to her dad's room.

“Neh~ thank you Mrs.?” He pauses right after her name, not knowing what her name was.

"U..um it is Megami." She says as she leads them to sakazuki’s room and lets them in. Sakazuki is in bed with his eyes closed and bandages on his face and body. She pushes him over to Sakazuki's bed with Mitsu and then Megami leaves the room.

Saka-san~

He caressed Sakazuki's face then he starts to open his eyes. "Borsalino?"

"Hey~ saka." Says borsalino mitsu runs to the other side of Sakazuki bed, hugging his hand where it was not as wounded.

" I'm glad your okay dad!" Mitsu smiles as she hugs him.

"Dad! baby sister is here, she's really cute!" Sakazuki looks over to Borsalino, who is holding a baby with dark curls and brown skin in a navy blue blanket.

"C..can I hold her?" Sakazuki asks.

"Neh~ of course you can" borsalino hands her over to sakazuki and he takes her into his arms.

"What's her name?" He replies letting his curiosity get the best of him.

"Its Mai." States borsalino as he looks over at the two Mitsu climbs up onto sakazuki sitting next to him looking closely at Mai.

Mai opens her eyes and shows off the same grey color as sakazuki. "She has my eyes" he says as he lifts his finger letting Mai grab hold of it.

"I'll make this world a safer place for you both," he says to Mitsu and Mai. Borsalino smiles at this and the family spends the rest of their time together with their new family member.
