why eitoku does what he does. he sounded like ikesen kicho when he said his ultimate goal "is to create a beautiful world". he's twisted sure but in the end he seemed like a desperate child of Darkness wanting to end the dark world of shinobi forever. He and Iori. I am glad we arrived at some sort of a closure. It almost feels like ending of some sort. we sympathize with these psychopath like guys. thanks voltage for these beautiful stories. wish there's more! happy 6th anniversary song of shadow slbp 💖💗

Kanou Eitoku 狩野永徳 is a famous painter, well-regarded even among the international art community who would not necessarily be familiar with the Sengoku era history. His most famous works include the Cypress Trees and Chinese Lions.

His genjutsu ninja skill in the story is probably an expansion of his incredible art skills, but otherwise not relevant to history. What the game intends to do with him being a ninja remains to be seen.

Eitoku was the painter who did the paintings decorating the interior of Azuchi Castle, and he also did portraits of Nobunaga. The famous painting of Nobunaga in the red, white, and green attire was done by Eitoku’s brother, but supposedly he had been copying from either a rough sketch by Eitoku, or one of Eitoku’s already-completed paintings.

See below a comparison of the painting done by Eitoku (right) and the one his brother made (left). While there are differences in style and details, there are many parts where the linework are very similar stroke-for-stroke.

Shima got a new outfit!!! He looks handsome even though I prefer his other outfits. This is nice and comfy looking though~

And another creepo appears!! This guy that looks like Kristen Stewart with a bad hair dye job is named Kano Eitoku.

And he’s surprisingly powerful. He’s a shinobi disguising as a painter, with an incredible ability to cast illusions into your mind and take over control of your body. Not only that, but he seems to be extremely skilled with weapons as well.

It’s cool to see them adding some new villains! And one so powerful! MC actually had to hurt Genya badly with her kunai in order to snap him out of the illusion. I hope we see a lot more of this guy but also he hurt Gen soooo I hate him and his stupid hair and I’ll drag him at every opportunity lmao. DONT TOUCH GEN.

AKA the guy I’m writing my Japanese art history paper on, literally submitted my proposal last night

eitoku,.. I just don't get him... is he a psychopath or something ? yep not the first time I came across such vengeful twisted ninjas in stories or mangas tho. I legit think we need new arc for these ninjas and main routes or events for other npcs, lt'd be a shame to create these characters and not explore their full potential

The Song of Shadow/ Latest Ninja events: A rant!

I think these events all began marking the anniversary of the moon arc or shadow arc of the app. and since then have been continuing, showing us the darker more sinister side of the shinobi world. With the new circumstances were introduced new characters. Some friends, some foes.

Sakuya's events began featuring a bright, spirited youngman Mitsu. While Gen's features a dangerous ninja who likes to say he's a painter: Eitoku. Eitoku wants Gen for himself for unknown reasons. Once again in the recent events Gen and MC encounter him again, but this time around he saves them, quoting, "You cant be wasted on others. Your life is mine and mine alone, Genya Fujibayashi."

Saku's opponents get stronger in the latest event as well. Mysterious ninja employs a band of other ninjas to route out Saku who's somewhat immune to a strange ninja technique that turns him into a puppet. Saku loses it in the fight and even turns his Kunai on the MC before finally coming to his senses. killings are rampant in the town, people dying as these ninjas employ strange ninja techniques. the mystery is still unsolved. danger is all around. Saku and MC are both wanted by the Iga.

then in Kyo's path, we encounter Iori, a koka ninja, who's meek and is always criticising himself coming to Kyo's side. He's the survivor of the strange killings of the Koka ninjas. For unknown reasons the koka ninjas are being hunted down. In the latest event, The Killers are closer than ever. They hurt Raita even and Kyo is enraged. Yet again another ninja leader is slain but the mastermind remains. And so does danger. Iori is determined to stay with Kyo, grow stronger to protect his people. Sasuke, Shima, Kyo, Iori and MC are fighting this battle of survival.

Hotaru and MC have been running into danger. With the old man Sandayu playing games with the duo, the danger has only multiplied. There's no telling what happens next.

Masanari and MC have it rough too. And Sasuke and MC... Well things are usual for them but Shinobi life is dangerous, as is. And MC and her clan are deserters. I also love how MC is getting stronger in her fights and is training with these men, always steadfast and inspiring them. Their bond has evolved so much, it's the most endearing thing

Once again the sinister side of ninja world is exposed in all of these events. Voltage is doing such a good job with these plotlines and the new ninja NPCs (yes they've been around for a while but they are newer compared to old ones) are all amazing. I surely hope these events will continue so we can see the end of it. And I hope these NPCs one day get their event stories, they would be hella interesting

While it is sad that the ninja sequels and certain routes haven't come to us English players, I am hanging on to these events. I wish we get to see the end of it

genya breaks MC's trance. Eitoku uses ninja techniques based on illusions which make him a powerful enemy. I disliked his actions in this story but I'd be curious to see his route/event if there will be any

Kano Eitoku is back! And still creepy!!! But now with a flashier ninja outfit

Now we see his weapon of choice aside from his incredibly strong ability to take over your mind, is the bōshuriken just like Hanzo!

I reeeeally like this outfit. 👀 Which is good because he’s still weirdly obsessed with Genya so I guess we will continue to see more of him! Since we haven’t gotten the full story on this guy just yet.

Another wild hot NPC appear!

After that hot evil painter Kanou Eitoku appreared in Genya’s ES, now Sakuya gets one of this faux-rival.

‘Faux’ because this guys might distract Tsuki for a bit but it’s going to be a loooong while if he’s going to get his own story at all.

MEET JUMONJI MITSU

aka Mitsu-chan, a happy go lucky guy Tsuki bumped into in town.

Is this guy based on a real historical person @daeva-agas ?

I dread the possibility of having to add MORE Characters to obsess with in SLBP/Tenka universe but hey, why not. Because he’ll be Tsuki’s!

I wished Voltage is a bit more daring in switching up the two MCs. I feel like right now the they’re pretty conservative in assigning this characters can only falls for Hana and those can only for Tsuki.

I don’t mind ES romance stories of Tsuki with Hana Lords or Hana with Tsuki Shinobi (hell this happened already in some of Hana’s ES that used Tsuki Shinobi as faux rival). I want more Tsuki content! She’s awesome!
