The Prophecy (Lucien Vanserra x Rhys! Sister)/(Azriel x Rhys! Sister)?
AN: I’ve had this idea for a while but after hearing “The Prophecy” on The Tortured Poets Department I was finally feeling inspired to write it. You guys have no idea how much that album is about to influence my writing. Also I have no idea how this is gonna end lol.
Summary: The only thing worse than having Azriel not know about the bond is watching him and Elain carry on like she doesn’t have a mate as well. Lucien and you have been long time friends but things change after one fateful starfall celebration. It’s not wrong if both of your mates don’t want you right?
Warnings: smut, unrequited love, situationship, fluff, Lucien is literally and angel I love him sm, did not edit (I am tired)
Word count: 3734

“Please, I've been on my knees. Change the prophecy. Don't want money just someone who wants my company…”
I had known the youngest Vanserra for a while now. I can recall the first time I met him on a lovely day  in the spring court when I was visiting with my brother. The man was more than charming, his words nearly had me buckling at the knees. It was around the same time that I had found out that my brother's close friend Azriel was my mate.
I remember the bond snapping like it was yesterday. We were celebrating solstice in the Hewn City and my feet were nearly black and blue from the amount of drunk men stepping on them while dancing. I was about to ask my brother to take me home when Azriel stepped in and quite literally swept me off my feet. He let me stand on his toes and waltz around the room with him all night to ensure that he himself wouldn’t hurt my feet. At some point in the night the bond snapped and I had never been so happy.
Azriel and I had been friends for over 100 years and I had secretly harbored feelings for him for at least 75 of them. To have my brother's best friend as my mate felt like fate. I didn’t tell him that night, something I have regretted for the last 400 years.
Not long after that he rescued Mor and any sparks I thought he felt with me that night were long gone. From that day on all he did was pine for her. I couldn’t blame him, Mor was astonishingly beautiful. For a long time after he saved her I resented her, I felt like she had taken my mate from me. It wasn’t until I realized that she wanted nothing to do with the shadowsinger that my hatred for my cousin dissipated. It wasn’t her fault that Azriel was so smitten with her. It was my fault for not telling him, but now it had been so long since the bond snapped that it seemed weird to bring it up.
So I sat dutifully by his side whenever  he needed someone to rant to about Mor. It practically ripped out my heart to  hear him talk about how in love with her he was. I was the only person he would open up to like that.  He would spend hours asking me for advice on how to woo her, and I grinned and bore it because, at the end of the day, I got to spend time with him.
I had been playing the girl best friend for hundreds of years. The moment I started to feel like he might be losing feelings for Mor in walked Elain. The beautiful sister of my brother's mate. What's worse? She seemed interested in Azriel as well.
Elain was easy to hate. Not just for her flirtations with Azriel but for the way she treated Lucien, her mate. Lucien had so much love for the Archeron, and she waved him off without another thought. I might be able to understand her reluctance to accept the bond if Lucien was a brute of a male, but he wasn’t. He was soft, kind and easy on the eyes.
I found him tossing rocks into the Sidra one day, no doubt pining over how Elain had barley even acknowledged the flowers he picked for her. That’s when I told him about Azriel and I’s bond. From that moment on we spent a great deal of time together, ranting about our unaccepted mating bonds. Even though we spent most of the time bitching, there was happiness. More than I had felt in a while.
Then starfall came…and everything changed.
“You look far too stunning not to be walking in with a date,” Lucien drawled to me from the outside of the townhouse.
I had spent all day getting ready for the annual party tonight. My dress was chosen specifically to catch Azriel’s attention, not that I felt like I would succeed.
“Well finding a date is harder than you think, especially at this hour,” I laugh as I walk through the gate he opened for me.
“Then indulge me,” he said. I turned to find him offering me an arm.
“You want to be my date?” I laugh light heartedly, admittedly smitten by the autumn court male.
“It’s a little last minute but I would be honored to walk into that room with you on my arm,” he said fondly.
I smiled and shook my head at the male before looping my  arm in his and allowing him to lead me up the steps to the front door.
“You know, you clean up pretty well Lu,” I cock an eyebrow bumping into him.
“Thanks, your brother sets a pretty high standard as far as attire for this thing. Who knew he was such a fashionista?” Lucien grins before walking in the door arm and arm with me. I don’t even bother stifling the laugh I let out.
The room nearly fell silent at our entrance. Sure Lucien and I were close and everyone knew, but they had never seen us like this. Even Az and Elain stopped their oh so intriguing conversation to ogle. I swore I saw anger flit across Elain’s eyes, like she was dead set on owning both Az and Lucien.
Lucien and I spent the evening as wallflowers, doing our best to stay away from all the happy couples. We had even gotten to the point where we grabbed a bottle of wine off the table and brought it over to our couch, both of us tired of constantly getting up and down for refills.
It wasn’t until Az and Elain not so subtly got up and walked onto the balcony that we decided we had tortured ourselves enough. We promptly grabbed the bottle of wine and waltzed out of the townhouse not even bothering to say goodbye. I supposed it was that exact bottle that did us in.
I placed my hand on my apartment door, swaying slightly from the alcohol rushing to my head. Lucein’s hand found my hip, steadying me. While I assured him I would be fine to walk home alone, he insisted he came with me.
“Thanks,” I laughed unlocking the door.
“You’re welcome,” he chuckles, wobbling himself.
“I had a really good time with you tonight,” I say, placing a hand on his chest to steady myself.
“I had a good time too,” he smiled.
It wasn’t until that moment that I realized how close we were. Lucien looked down at me, the moonlight illuminating his face perfectly. The sudden tension between us was broken when he crashed his lips on mine.
One thing led to another and the next thing I knew I was lying bare beneath him as he fucked me like his life depended on it. I didn’t realize how badly I needed to get laid until he was buried inside me. Needless to say I understood why people said the Autumn Court males have fire in their blood.
That was a year ago and since then Lucien and I had decided to continue seeing each other in secret, both of us needing a way to release built up tension so to say. He often stayed the night and we would spend long hours talking about everything from the books we were reading to politics. The sex was amazing, for both of us, but it was the intimacy that came after that I think we both craved the most. An intimacy I would be seeking out shortly given the current topic of conversation between Azriel and I.
“Gods the other day she was weaning a light blue dress in the garden and I nearly fell to my knees before her,” Azriel ranted to me.
He had been going on and on about whether or not he wanted to finally make a move on Elain or not. And as his best friend I had to hear about every word of it.
“I saw it, it was a very pretty dress,” I acknowledge, turning the page of the book I was reading.
“I swear she blushed when I complimented it too, I think I’m making progress with her,” he went on to say.
“Maybe you should just put yourself out of your misery and talk to her Az,” I suggested for probably the tenth time.
“You know I can’t just barrel in there. She’s scared and I’m not going to freak her out even more. She will come to me when she’s ready. If she’s ready. Gods that’s assuming she even likes me,” he rambled.
I roll my eyes and shut my book so loudly it pulls the shadow singers attention. I give him a pointed look that has him startling back just a bit.
“I know that she likes you Az,” I deadpan.
“How can you be sure though?” he asks, throwing his head back on the arm of the couch.
“Because she would be an idiot not to,” I say with a hint of sadness.
Azriel looked to be at a loss for words, and I realized my words were much bolder than I had wanted them to be.
Clearing my throat I set my book down on the side table, knowing it will be waiting for me when I come back to my brother’s tomorrow. I stand and subtly adjust my dress.
“I have to go, but seriously Az, just tell her,” I say walking over to press a kiss to his forehead.
As I got to walk away I feel him grab my hand, placing a kiss to my open palm, “Thank you for listening y/n, really.” he says earnestly .
“Don’t worry  about it Az, I’ll see you tomorrow,” I say with a fake smile before setting off towards my modest home.
When Feyre moved into the townhouse I took it as my queue to move out, knowing my brother and his new mate would want privacy. Of course Rhysand offered me mansions and villas but I was content with a townhouse of my own in the middle of town. Big enough to have my own home library, and small enough to not feel so lonely.
I make my way down the cobblestone streets, the faelights casting a warm glow on the ground before me. It was late, and many couples were turning in for the night. I could see some cuddled up on their sofa’s through their windows, others were having a nightcap together outside Rita’s. I saw a couple rocking their newborn baby to sleep on the second floor of their home, and for some reason, that was the one that hurt the most to me.
I sighed as I walked up a few steps to my townhouse door. I unlocked the door and was greeted to the smell of jasmine and vanilla and the sound of a cracking fire. I walk up my steps to find Lucien sitting shirtless on my large bed, his hair in a bun at the nape of his neck. The male was the image of relaxation.
I had given him a key months ago. With the males many jobs, emissary to the night court, ally to Jurian and Vassa,  and liaison to Tamlin, he needed a place to truly call home. For the past 9 months that had been here, with me. I never once objected to his subtle moving in, it was nice to come home to someone waiting for me, sometimes even a homemade meal. For him it was nice to have a  place where he didn’t always have to put on a front. It was a win for both of us.
“When did you get in?” I ask kicking off my shoes.
“Just a couple hours ago. How was Azriel duty?” he asked, setting his book down as I began to strip off my cloak and dress leaving me only in my lingerie. It wasn’t uncommon for us to be so casual with one another.
“Exhausting, did you know that Elain wore a pretty blue dress the other day?” I mocked tossing my clothes into a dirty clothes bin, I noticed his missing shirt was there too.
“Unfortunately yes I did,” he chuckled. “You know what always makes me feel better though?” he smirks.
“I crawl up the bed towards him, “What?” I smile knowing what the answer will be.
“You,” he smirks, grabbing my hips and pinning me to the mattress beneath him, his lips pressing to mine.
“How funny I was about to say the same thing,” I laugh, feeling his lips tickle my neck as he makes his way further down my body.
His mouth trails the inside of my thighs before sliding my panties down my legs, each brush of his fingers from my hips to my ankles feeling like heaven. The male had been gone for a week, and I was desperate for release. He licks a long stripe up my center, flicking his tongue over the bundle of nerves at the top. My back arches off the bed and his hands find my waist to pin me down. I feel his tongue begin to lap at my clit as his fingers slide into me, no doubt finding the pool of wetness waiting there.
This is what me and Lu had always been good at, reading each other. When he had a stressful day  I always made sure to make him feel good, and when I came back to the house upset he never hesitated to get on his knees for me. There was this unsaid rule that we would always take care of eachother.
Lucien’s tongue continues lapping my clit as his fingers curl to hit that spot inside of me that had me gasping for air. As I started to feel myself getting closer and closer he removed his mouth from me, drawing his fingers out slowly. One thing about hooking up for a year? You learn to read each other's bodies, and lord did the seventh son of Autumn know how to read mine.
“Lu!” I cry out frustrated.
“Shhh my darling,” he coos crawling up my body. “I simply want to cum with you tonight.” he smirked, seething himself inside of me.
“Oh gods!” I cry feeling him fill me thoroughly.
He pulls out and thrusts back in causing me to whimper once more. Mor was right about one thing, the autumn court males have fire in their blood and they fuck like it too.
“I missed you, missed this,” Lucien groans, his face contorted in pleasure as he builds a steady pace.
“I missed you too Lu,” I say through ragged breaths as he fucks into me like his life depends on it. Apparently the time apart made him needy as well.
I could hardly speak as he thrust deeper into me, his hands on my waist holding me steady so tha he could hit me as deep as possible. When I felt myself start to clench around him he doubled over, burying his head in my neck as his hips continued to snap into me.
My hands found his back clinging to the flesh there for an anchor, my walls fluttering around him one last time before I fell apart. The sudden sensation had Lucien biting my neck as he came with a low groan.
We spent a few moments catching our breaths, he pushed up on his arms and moved a stray hair from my face, assessing to see if he had hurt me, just like he always did.  When he found no traces of pain in my face he rolled over, taking me with him so that I was lying on his chest.
This was always the part I think we both craved the most. The sex was great, amazing even. But I longed for a pair of arms to fall asleep in, and he longed for someone to hold. Meaningless pillowtalk just for fun.
“I mean it, I did miss you,” I sigh circling my arms around his waist.
“I missed you too, I hate sleeping in the spring court, it’s so cold and dark there now.” Lucien said, staring at the ceiling.
“How is Tamlin?” I ask, already knowing the answer.
“Terrible,” he muttered. “I had to talk him into letting me stay.”  He continues playing with the ends of my hair.
“You’re a good friend for checking in on him though,” I say matter of factly.
“I still wish I could do more,” he sighs, pulling the covers up on the two of us.
“I understand,” I mutter keeping my head on his chest, staring at the fire that roars next to us.
A long beat of comfortable silence passes, normally I would fall asleep like this. I would sometimes wake to him being gone, sometimes he would wake to me being gone. Only on weekends would both be able to wake up and go to breakfast together. This was one of those weekends, but instead of falling asleep, Lucien spoke up.
“Can I ask you something?” he asked, not taking his gaze from the ceiling.
“Sure,” I reply, waiting for a nonchalant inquiry. It wasn’t the first time he and I had played 20 questions to get to know each other more, though I thought that after a year of it we knew just about everything there was to know about the other.
“Would you agree that Azriel and Elain are never going to give us a chance?” he asked.
My heart twinges hearing his name, “Well Az doesn’t know, but even if he did I don’t think he would care. I’m not damsel in distress enough for him.” I snort recalling the unconscious type he has.
“I feel the same about Elain, and there’s something I’ve been thinking about, especially this past week,” he continues still facing the ceiling.
I prop my head up on his chest wanting to read his face and his eyes flit to me, “Cryptic Vanserra, but go on,” I laugh trying to break the tension.
“I’ve always been fond of you y/n ever since you visited the spring court all those years ago. Now that I’ve gotten to know you, that admiration has only grown, not to mention you’re a very beautiful female y/n,” he laughs at his own words, a tint of pink dusting his cheek and I can’t help but blush as well. “From the amount of time we’ve been spending together it seems you like me enough, and well…I don’t want to be alone anymore,” he says seemingly avoiding his main point.
I sit up more, intrigued by his words, “What do you mean Lu?” I inquire.
“I was wondering if you would like to be Mrs. Lucien Vanserra?” he finally says and my heart nearly stops at the shocking words. “I know I’m not Azriel, but consider me an alternative. I think we could make eachother genuinely happy, maybe help each other enjoy whatever we have left of this miserable life?” he asks, his voice laced with uncertainty.
I let his words sink in as I stare at the bit of wall behind him. As I consider all that he’s said I realize that he’s right, we do get along. I had spent years trying to find a male to fill the hole Azriel put in my  life, but it always felt wrong. It was as if I was taking someone else’s mate, even when the males didn’t have mates.  It didn’t feel wrong being with Lucien because I knew that his mate also didn’t want anything to do with him.
I was tired of not always having someone to come home to. Not having someone to go to events with. Not having someone to spend holidays with. Not having someone to call my own. I was tired of being alone, especially since I had been alone for about 400 years, but no longer.
I smile down at Lucien’s nervous face, “I would be honored to be your wife,” I say.
“You would?” he beams.
“I would,” I repeated back to him. “You’re right, we do get along, and I’m tired of being alone too.”
He presses his lips to mine, both of us smiling into the kiss. We would never fill the sadness of a rejected mating bond, but we would be there for one another. I lay my  head down on his chest again, feeling the sleep come into my eyes.
“How should we do it?” he asked, tracing shapes on my bare back.
“Hmm,” I thought for a moment. A big wedding seemed odd considering we weren’t mates or anything close to it. Eloping seemed more proper. “I think we should keep it small.”
“Do we tell them?” He ponders the most awkward question.
“We can tell them, but we don’t need to invite them. It can be a modified elopement, they will all know but we can just invite my brother and Feyre, that way we both have family there.” I answer snuggling into his warmth more.
“By the Cauldron I have to tell your brother I’ve been sleeping with you for over a year,” Lucien said anxiously, running a hand down his face.
I can’t help but laugh at his stress, “He might be a little mad, but I’m sure Feyre will be so excited about it that he won’t care.” I giggle.
I feel his body relax under my cheek, no doubt realizing that whatever the High Lady says will be law. He slides a red and gold ring off his pinky finger and slips it onto my left hand.
“Here, it’s a family ring,” he explains looking at the gaudy ring on  my hand. While it fits on my finger well the jewel on it takes up my whole hand and looks unnatural. “I know I’m not part of the Autumn Court anymore but it’s all I have.” he continues.
“It’s perfect,” I laugh, inspecting the ill-fitting thing, “it’s an outcast just like us.”
Lucien's soft chuckle escapes him as he plants a gentle kiss atop my head. Tomorrow promises its usual dose of chaos, but that's a concern for another day. Tonight, here in bed with my fiancé, though this isn't the life I envisioned, I find myself flooded with a happiness I haven't felt in ages.

an. a little 'and-they-were-roommates' drabble series to get me back into writing because it's been an age. | masterlist | part two
Tumblr media
It starts as a situation built off convenience: he needed someone to take care of his place while he was gone, and you needed a place to stay.
Simon never thought he’d get anything out of it other than coming home to a house that feels lived-in and the entryway clear of envelopes from months of neglecting his mail—another voice throughout the day besides the intrusive ones in his head that spun like a carousel with the word work etched on top.
It’s not until you show up on his doorstep, three boxes and a measly duffel bag crowding your arms, that he thinks he really should’ve thought this through better. He’ll only realize this after the fact—weeks late, sleepless nights filled with images of daisy-shaped buttons down the front of a summer dress and a smile that nearly knocks him flat off his feet.
As it is, he’ll blame it on the handful of sleepless hours from tiny airplane seats and energy drinks sleuthing through his system that clouded his judgment, then admit it’s nice coming home to a woman who looks pretty reading a book on his living room couch.
Only his soap-slick fist in his bathroom late at night will know the honest-to-God truth. That is if there was ever a god he believed in.
He never claimed to be a good man.
(Can anyone claim to be good in his line of work?)
Just an honest one.
So it goes something like this: he tries not to come off as an obsessed, lonely fuck (the jury is out on either) by just existing in the same space as you whenever the opportunity arises—reading the paper while you make breakfast on the stove he hasn’t touched in too long to remember when, flipping through a book Simon didn’t even know he owned while you water plants you picked up on your way from work, watching whatever you have on the telly before you both go to bed—then he’s on a plane, being shipped out to who knows where with a gun holstered to his hip.
Rinse and repeat.
The fourth time he comes home after an assignment keeps him away longer than expected, he finds you in the kitchen, covered in flour, a cute, frilly apron tied around your waist that he’s never seen you wear before. A smile curls the edges of your mouth as you look over at him, everything in your face soft and attentive—a vision suddenly takes shape.
You with a ring on your finger, Simon calling you his little wife, getting to hold your hand whenever he feels like it, and not because yours accidentally brushed up against his. His hand fisting in your hair, bending you over the counter, your cheek covered in powdery confectionery, fingers rucking up your skirt and apron because he can.
He blinks once, twice, and the little fantasy falls apart.
Except you’re still in his kitchen, smiling prettily and happy to see him of all things. Imagine that.
Your lashes flutter, making crescent shadows across your cheeks. “How was your trip?” you ask. “You look more tired than you usually do.”
A shrug, a dismissal. “I’m fine.”
“Are you sure? I have some tea that might help.”
“Tea.” He repeats to fill the quiet if only to stand there a little longer, his bag still slung over his shoulder and his clothes smelling like recycled air.
“Yeah, I got it from a friend a few weeks ago when I caught this cold that was going around the office.” Sometimes, you ramble, and he can do nothing more than let you get it out of your system—not that he minds. “I swear it’s nothing janky or anything. Just try it; it might help.”
You’re so damn earnest about it that he can’t bring himself to say no.
“Sure,” he says and watches a wide, satisfied smile stretch across your face.
It’d be easier if you weren’t so sweet and gave a sincere fuck about the comings and goings of his life. If the smell of your perfume wasn’t following Simon everywhere—sugary vanilla faintly clinging to his balaclava even after he’s washed it—as a reminder of what’s just out of his reach.
(A mindfuck is what it is.)

Chapter 51 of human Bill Cipher is once more the Mystery Shack's prisoner: Dipper and Mabel try to figure out what the Axolotl's poem means; Dipper gets the hang of astral projection; and... whatever's going on up there happens.
####
Ford and Dipper came back into the shack through the gift shop; Ford didn't want to risk crossing paths with Bill. While Dipper went into the house, Ford went down—returning to the safety of his subterranean study.
Once Ford had put on the old black trench coat he'd worn during his multiversal travels and gotten comfortable at his desk, he pulled out Journal 5 to document the events of the last few days. In a cheap ballpoint pen, he wrote, I've lost my #1 Grunkle pen (and favorite coat) to the waters of Lake Gravity Falls. And then, deciding this didn't adequately express his feelings, he drew a small frown. That coat had served him well for decades, and he'd really liked that pen. It did write excellently, and it had reminded him of his gniece and gnephew.
He spent three pages documenting the eclipse—what happened, what readings he'd taken, what he and Dipper observed—and then another four pages talking about Bill. What he'd told them, why Ford had dismissed it; his claims about a trans-dimensional axolotl distorting gravity with its migration; the statue, the rescue, the breakdown.
The act of writing always helped Ford clarify his thoughts and untangle mysteries; it wasn't until he was writing that he realized the limbs Bill had said he couldn't feel were the ones that had broken off the statue.
He listed the rules of the chess variants he could remember Bill inventing. He drew Bill huddled in front of the board, grim, tear-streaked, exhausted; and then scratched out his face, embarrassed at the thought of immortalizing such a raw moment for his private viewing.
He wrote, There's still a slim possibility that the entire "eclipse," start to finish, was Bill's masterfully-orchestrated scheme to make us pity and trust him; but it's unlikely. Although Bill is fiendish enough, he isn't currently powerful enough, and his lies certainly aren't elaborate enough. If he could pull off such a byzantine ruse, then he could just as easily escape—and if he can escape, why hasn't he? Bill may be insane, but he's never been THAT irrational.
And so, even as twisted as Bill's idea of "friendship" is... for the very first time, I'm convinced that he was telling the truth all along when he said he wants me as his friend. It's not an act. He risked his life to save someone who's an active threat to him.
And at the end of it all—though I'm grateful to be alive in spite of my own stubbornness—do I like him any better for it?
Ford leaned back and shut his eyes, sifting through the inner tumult of anger and old hurt that defined most of his memories of Bill, looking to see if anything had changed.
There was a sore, tender spot in his emotions, a place beginning to rot with remorse; when he prodded at those emotions, he found that it was shame over his own harsh conduct of the last couple of days. But he was only ashamed of how cruelly he'd acted; he wasn't ashamed that Bill was the one he'd done it to.
Outside of that tender spot—regret over his own behavior—nothing else had changed.
No. I still hate him. I'm grateful to be alive, but I hate him. He hasn't undone anything he did to my family and me, and he never will. Forgiveness can't be purchased with favors.
I'm only relieved at the certainty of it. Bill has committed an act that can't possibly be a lie. I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he's shown me the truth; and the truth is he'd rather see me alive than dead. Whatever other lies he may tell, I can hold on to that fact.
Bill's miserable eyes peered out at Ford between the scribbles he'd drawn across his face. It was truly a pity that Ford had to hate him. Pity that Bill hadn't been somebody better. He could have been better.
Ford couldn't find it in himself to be embarrassed that he'd filled four pages talking about the monster he'd already wasted so many more on. Bill had been right about him: You might hate me to my face, but behind my back you're as obsessed with me as ever. The only thing Bill didn't understand was that hatred and obsession weren't mutually incompatible.
####
"Hey, Dipper," Mabel said, unfolding the living room sofa bed.
"Hey, Mabel," Dipper said, passing through living room on his way to the stairs. He climbed up to the attic.
He came back down from the attic. "Mabel. Why's Bill asleep in your bed."
"He really needed a nap," Mabel said.
"Okay but why on your bed?"
Mabel pouted. "Dipper, do you realize he's never slept on a real bed? Ever?"
Dipper tried to imagine sleeping on a couple couch cushions on the floor every night. "Yeah, okay, that does kinda suck." Even if it was Bill's own fault he wouldn't sleep in the living room.
By unspoken mutual agreement, having a Bill in the bedroom followed the same law as finding a centipede in the bathroom. The law was "that's the centipede's bathroom now." So once the folding bed was set up, they sat on it to serve as their hang-out spot for the evening and caught each other up on what they'd done the last couple of days.
After Dipper & Co. had left, Grenda had come over to take advantage of the low gravity to retrieve the kite that had been stuck in a tree near the Mystery Shack since last summer (it was, tragically, too tattered to salvage), and then they'd gone over to Candy's house to photograph each other performing feats of impossible strength. (Mabel would be sending some pictures to their parents to confuse them, and adding the rest to her summer scrapbook.) She'd spent the next day breaking the trampoline world record until Soos came outside and said gravity was probably too low for it to be safe to be up in the air anymore, if Bill's warnings about being off the ground when gravity hit zero were true; at which point Mabel had hung around inside air-swimming until she suddenly slammed against the ceiling, and then the ground. She was fine. She just had a couple of bruises. She showed Dipper her bruises.
In return, Dipper told Mabel about how their quest had gone: the checks for micro-rips, Bill's increasingly frantic warnings, the lake—
("You got to see a bajillion magical axolotls and I didn't?!")
—the cliff, the Axolotl, Dipper's near-death experience, and what he now knew about his out-of-body dreams.
"Seriously?" Mabel hissed, eyes bugging out. "And he had us looking up lucid dreaming books! What a jerk!"
"I know! He could have just ignored the whole thing, we didn't even think it was anything but dreams."
"And I'd thought he was being so helpful, too! Like he was really trying to make up for giving you 'nightmares'!" Mabel laughed in disbelief and flopped down on the flimsy mattress. "All that because he just didn't want us to know how it was really his fault? Biiill, ugh."
His fault. Dipper hesitated, wondering whether he should tell Mabel what Bill had said about Mabel's Fault; then decided against it. Bill had probably been telling the truth when he'd said he only wanted all the credit for Weirdmageddon.
But—Dipper did tell her about Bill saving their lives. He would have felt like a liar if he hadn't—like he was trying to trick his sister into thinking Bill was worse than he already was. He hoped Ford wouldn't mind; but how could he not tell Mabel?
"He could have just let you die and didn't?" Mabel turned that over in her head, processing this sudden shift in Bill's behavior. "Wow. I'm impressed."
He also told her about their previous encounter with the Axolotl. Considering the other lies Bill had told recently, anything he said about them meeting the Axolotl was dubious at best; but Dipper could remember the Axolotl, so maybe some of it was true, even if Bill had twisted as much as he could. ("The Axolotl said hi, by the way." "Aww. Tell him hi back!" "Yeah, I... don't know how to do that.")
Dipper laid out his journal between them on the folding bed, and Mabel read over the couplet a few times. "'Sixty degrees that come in threes, watches from within birch trees'..."
"It's got to be talking about Bill," Dipper said. "Equilateral triangles have three sixty-degree angles. I just don't know why the Axolotl wanted to talk to us about him."
Mabel frowned at the lines. "I think... I remember meeting him too," she said.
"You do?"
"Kinda. Like in a dream," she said. "We were in some kind of futury space race car. And he had a really comfortable beanbag chair."
"Yes! I remembered the beanbag chair, too!" And he hadn't mentioned it in his journal. "This is great! Talking about it must... must cause us to remember, somehow. Maybe since the universe where we met the Axolotl doesn't exist anymore, our memories of it are... detached or something? Psychically floating around between dimensions until we try to remember them?" He took in Mabel's skeptical frown and shrugged. "I don't know!"
She scrunched up her face. "Ugh. Last summer's first-grader time travel was complicated enough. This is like college-level time travel. Maybe we can ask Bill how it works?"
She said it so easily, like she thought it was actually a good idea. Right after she'd heard about the lucid dreaming thing, too. "I don't think he'd help." Dipper lowered his voice. "He really didn't want Grunkle Ford and me to find out about the Axolotl—and he kept telling me not to think about what the Axolotl told me. He's trying to cover something up."
"Oo-oo-ooh." Voice dropped to a whisper, Mabel said, "Do you think it's some kind of Space Axolotl conspiracy?"
"It could be," Dipper said. "All I know is he was trying to tell us something important about Bill. Some kind of prophecy, or... maybe a warning...?"
He trailed off. Mabel had stopped listening to Dipper. She was rereading the couplet Dipper had written, moving her lips like she was murmuring under her breath—but whatever she was saying, it was much longer than the couplet Dipper had written down. Distractedly, she said, "Do you have a pen?"
"Yeah, here." Dipper quickly handed over the pen he kept in his vest.
Mabel clicked it, went to the bottom of the page, and wrote: A different form, a different time.
Dipper sucked in a sharp breath as the words snapped into place in his mind. "That's it! That was the last line! What else do you remember?"
"That's it," Mabel said. "It was free form poetry with a bunch of rhyme pairs."
"I don't think free form poetry rhymes."
"Pbbbt." Mabel blew a raspberry and shoved Dipper's face. "Whatever! You know what I mean." She pointed at the last line. "Do you think the poem's about why Bill's here? He time traveled to the Mystery Shack in a new body..."
"Exactly! Bill must be back here for a reason. He's got all those powers—or, used to, anyway—and he knows more about the multiverse than anybody on Earth... Maybe there's some kind of big threat coming, and Bill's the only one who can stop it, and—and the Axolotl wanted us to know...?"
"I like the sound of that," Mabel said. "That'd basically make him a hero, right?"
Dipper grimaced. "I mean. I guess? But we're talking about Bill. If he does help us stop a threat, it'd be like if a serial killer picked up a hitchhiker and killed him, and then it turned out the hitchhiker was an even worse serial killer."
"That still sounds kinda heroic to me."
"Pfff, okay." He looked at his journal. "But... what is he here to do?"
Mabel considered what they'd already written. "Maybe we can use him to spy on our enemies through birch trees!"
"Thaaat's probably not it."
"No, I think I'm on to something. I can feel it."
There was a lot of empty space between his couplet and Mabel's line. "There's more we're missing, though. Maybe the rest of the poem describes the threat? Or what we need to get Bill to do?"
"I can't remember anything else, though."
"Me neither."
They stared at the page together, waiting for something to come to their blank minds. Mabel looked at the fish tank. "Hey, Primrose! Do you know anything?"
The pet axolotl in the tank ignored her serenely.
Dipper said, "'Primrose'?"
"Yeah, last summer Grunkle Stan said her name is Freakface, but I thought she deserved a cuter name. She's primrose color!"
"Ford says he originally named him Nikola."
Mabel gasped. "Nikki..."
Dipper twisted around to look at the axolotl. "Do you know anything? Do you... get messages from the Axolotl's heralds, or anything...?"
Nikola slowly opened his mouth, and slowly closed it.
Mabel said, "Hey. The Axolotl's one of those dimension-crossy time-travely guys, right? He probably wouldn't have given us a prophecy in the wrong timeline and then made us forget it unless he knew we'd remember it in time in the rightdimension!"
"I guess," Dipper said uncertainly.
"So we don't need to worry about it! We'll remember it when we need to."
"Unless this timeline's going to branch, and the only one where we survive is the one where we put all our effort into trying to remembering—"
"Shhh!" Mabel put a finger over Dipper's mouth. "Uh-uh. No college time travel. We'll be fine!"
Dipper pushed her over. "Okay, but we should at least try a little to remember what the Axolotl told us."
"What if we work on it separately?" Mabel propped herself up on an elbow. "Instead of just sitting around thinking about it. And whenever we remember a line, we can tell each other and see if it makes anything click."
"That might be faster," Dipper said, stroking his chin. "We're already remembering different lines."
"Yeah! And that lucid dreaming book said something about focusing on a problem before you sleep so you can figure it out in your dreams! We can just work on it in our sleep and we'll remember it all in no time!"
Dipper laughed. "What? No way, I think lucid dreaming is just one of those made up pop psychology things. I didn't get it to work at all." Either it didn't work or Bill had deliberately recommended a terrible book.
"I did! I can remember like... eighty percent more dreams. And I can tell when I'm dreaming a lot more often!"
"Huh." Or, maybe Dipper just wasn't doing it right. "Maybe I need to start over from step one. Do you know where the book we were using went?"
"Over here!" Mabel had set a couple library books on the end table next to the sofa bed; she pulled out the second one, which had a glittery pink bookmark with a cat on it stuck two-thirds of the way through. "Just don't lose my bookmark."
"Thanks." He'd reread the first step before bed. "We should probably be getting ready for bed anyway, huh?"
"Seriously?! It's barely bedtime!" And when the adults weren't watching, official bedtime was an hour and a half before Actual Bedtime.
"I'm exhausted. I just hiked up and down a mountain and faced down death."
Mabel pointed at Nikola. "You faced down a big salamander."
"Close enough."
They went upstairs, brushed their teeth, went to their bedroom...
And stopped in the door. Bill was still asleep. "Oh. Right," Dipper said.
He was curled into a ball on his left side, facing the wall, covered with only the zodiac blanket and his borrowed/stolen top hat sitting on the side of his head. He didn't use a pillow; he'd pushed Mabel's pillows and dolls behind himself to form a squishy makeshift fortress.
"Please don't wake him up," Mabel whispered. (She'd already set up the folding bed for herself; she'd clearly planned on this.) "He's had a really really hard time the last couple of days, and I think he needs as much sleep in a real bed as he can get, and it's just for one night, and I'm sure he'd rather sleep than do anything evil—"
"He said something, didn't he?"
Mabel paused. "Yeah. I think seeing his body really messed him up."
Dipper sighed. "We were trying to keep him away from it." He didn't want Mabel to think they'd forced him to stare his own death in the face. "But he did that... eye thing and looked through the trees, and..."
Mabel nodded.
Well. Dipper couldn't kick him out now. For Mabel's sake.
As children, occasionally when they got hotel rooms with a bed too few, their parents would stick them in one bed with a barrier of pillows in between them. At age thirteen and without two crabby parents trying to get them to just go to bed after a long plane flight, they unanimously vetoed that plan. Dipper decided against asking Stan if he could sleep in Ford's unoccupied bed, both because he suspected Stan would just go upstairs and drag Bill out of the room and because he didn't want Stan to think he was scared of Bill. He wasn't scared of Bill. Not anymore. He could handle one measly night in the same room as him. Anyway, somebody had to make sure he wasn't unsupervised in their bedroom all night, right?
Dipper and Mabel quietly set a floor mirror and old lamp next to Mabel's bed, draped a sheet between them, taped on a pink poster that said "WARNING! TRIANGLE ZONE!" and was covered in stickers of triangular objects, and decided Dipper was adequately shielded. If Bill did get up during the night, he'd probably trip through the sheet and wake half the house before he got anywhere near Dipper.
Dipper went to sleep with a baseball bat in his hands.

"Okay," Bill said, hands on his sides, "what am I looking at here?"
The feral band members of Sev'ral Timez turned toward Bill, eyes reflecting in the dim light. They were squatting around Bill's petrified corpse like a pack of apes examining a sleek black monolith.
"Hey girl," Creggy G. said.
"Hey," Bill said. He looked down at himself. His onyx black feet hovered over the ground and the yellow glow from his exoskeleton illuminated the clearing. "Lemme cut to the chase, is this gonna turn into a raunchy dream? My corporeal love life is about as cold and dry as Antarctica, I keep hoping one of my dreams will get a little hotter and wetter—"
"Nah, G," Deep Chris said. "Mr. Bratsman got us fixed."
"Aw."
"We're here to pay you reverence for freeing our minds from the chains of the conventional," Greggy C said, gesturing to Bill's corpse. Leggy P was kneeling and bowing to it and Chubby Z was posing for it. "We want to help free you like you tried to help free humanity."
Bill's eye narrowed. He tapped a finger against the edge of one brick as he considered this offer. Finally, skeptically, he said, "Fine. I'll bite. Why should I think you can help me?"
"Because we can give you the understanding your heart's been missing, girl. You're just like us," Chubby Z said. "A horror never meant to exist, born of a dream to construct the perfect golden idol, forced to dwell within an unnaturally-fabricated human shell."
Bill tilted his head thoughtfully. "I'm with you so far."
"We want you to join us," Deep Chris said. "Cavort with us in the silvan night, G. Shun the harsh light of the spotlight for the healing salve of moonbeams. We'll get drunk on the sweet fermented summer berries, uncaring of how the brambles prick our flesh. We'll dance in a frenzy of ecstasy and only sleep when the morning sun lifts the dew from the flowers and the sweat from our skin. It'll be straight Dionysian, boo."
"We can kiss the hot trees," Creggy G said.
Bill grabbed his shoulder. "Oh, you're the human that keeps making out with birch trees! I knew your face was familiar!" He paused. "So... are there any eligible ones around here?"
"Sure, girl, just downstream."
"If I'd known, I would've polished myself first."
"Say you'll join us, Bill girl," Deep Chris said. The band crowded around Bill to either side, posing around him—the backup dancers for the star singer. "You'd be one of us."
"We're already exactly the same," Creggy G said, holding up a mirror so that it reflected his and Bill's faces beside each other. In Bill's human face were two empty white eyes with pinprick pupils and pale blue irises, exactly the same as the eyes of the Sev'ral Timez boys.
He sat up with a gasp, hands flying to his face. There were still green boughs at the edges of his dreaming vision, blending into the wooden boards of the Mystery Shack's attic. Before sleep had fully fled his mind, he seized up the zodiac blanket draped over his body and stared into his embroidered eye.
The eye stared back at him. Through it, he could see his horrified sleepy face, and his normal slitted yellow eyes. His connection to the blanket's eye disappeared as he finished waking up.
He heaved a sigh of relief and flopped back down. He'd been lucid, but he hadn't been in control of that dream. He still needed practice.
He rolled toward the light of the window, groped around beneath it until he found his journal, grabbed up his crayons, and flipped pages blearily until he found the first blank one. He started writing down his dream, pausing only briefly as he tried to figure out how to translate "Sev'ral Timez" before settling on a sufficiently goofy way to misspell "several times" in Plaintext.
He made it halfway down the page before he stopped. Hold on. This wasn't his beautiful journal. These were not his beautiful crayons. He checked the cover and grimaced in displeasure when he saw a pine tree rather than a hand. Dipper's journal. Bill ripped out the page, ate it, and set the journal and Mabel's crayons back on the table  under the bedroom window.
"What was that," Dipper asked, "some kind of Morse code?"
Bill yelped and twisted around. Dipper's soul was hovering above Mabel's headboard, watching over Bill's shoulder.
"Hey! Back, foul ghost!" Bill snatched up Mabel's pillow and swung it at Dipper.
"Ow—Hey! How did you hit me, I'm in the mindscape—"
"I said back!" Bill swung again, chasing Dipper off the bed. "Back into your fleshy tomb!" He climbed off the bed, stumbled into Dipper and Mabel's trap, tripped through the sheet and probably woke up half the house.
He yanked the sheet off and flung the pillow at Dipper by its corner. "Now get back in your body, go to sleep, and leave me alone."
"I don't know how to get back in it. I just wait until it happens by itself," Dipper said, floating irritably over his sleeping body, arms crossed. "Why do you think I just wander around every time I have this dream?" He paused. "Right—it's not a dream, is it."
Bill sighed heavily. "Try putting your body on like..." He almost said like an exoskeleton, remembered his audience, and amended himself: "Like it's clothing. I usually start with the hands. Just like putting on gloves!"
Dipper looked at the cold fingers wrapped tightly around the baseball bat. "How do I put hands on like gloves? There's no opening or—"
"Just try it, would you?" Bill sat tiredly on the edge of Mabel's bed.
Dipper shot him an irritated look, but pressed his ghostly hands against his fleshly ones, passing through the skin until one set of fingers rested inside the other. A fingertip twitched.
Bill gestured with one hand, continue. "Now the sleeves."
"I know how to get dressed." Dipper laid down in his body, forearm into forearm, shoulder into shoulder—until he was wholly back inside. He sat up, awake. "Huh."
"There, see?" Bill said. "And if you want to take it back off, just do the same thing in reverse. Like degloving your body from your soul!"
"Did you have to phrase it like that?" Still, Dipper tried it, peeling out of his body from the fingertips up. He left his body sitting upright as he hovered over it.
Bill chuckled tiredly. "Lookit your face, staring at nothing. Stupid looking."
"Shut up." He slid back into his body, more quickly now that he knew what he was doing.
"Great," Bill said. "Now that you know how to get back in your body, never do that again." He flopped back onto Mabel's bed and rolled over to face the wall. "It's a pain in my base having you wander around all night."
"Then you should've thought of that before you ripped my soul out of my body," Dipper grumbled. "Can you reattach me to my body?"
"Sure, easy." He lifted a hand to point down at his regrettably human form. "Not like this, though. Wanna help reattach me to my body?"
"Never in a million years."
"Then come back in a million years. There's nothing I can do for you until then." Bill dragged Mabel's zodiac blanket back over himself. "So sorry. Go to sleep. Leave me alone."
Dipper bet Bill could do it and was only saying he couldn't to try to trick Dipper into helping him. But he lay back down—clutching his bat again—and shut his eyes.
After a moment, Bill asked, "Where's Mabel? Sleepover?"
"Sofa bed in the living room."
"Right."
And then there was silence.
Several minutes passed. Dipper nearly fell back asleep. He heard Bill climbing out of bed and creeping across the room; but the footsteps didn't approach Dipper's bed, so he didn't open his eyes.
A few minutes after that, Dipper heard him come back, walking more heavily. He cracked open an eye to see what Bill was up to.
He was carrying Mabel, who was still asleep; his arms were trembling from her weight, but even at that Dipper hadn't known Bill was that strong. With a quiet grunt, he set her on her bed, then haphazardly tossed her sheet and zodiac blanket over her. He picked up his top hat from the bed and put it on; and then he wandered off, footsteps quiet as a ghost, and Dipper heard the creak of the door as he left the bedroom.
That was a lot nicer than Dipper had expected from Bill. Maybe he did care about Mabel in his own way.
Mabel rolled over and latched on to one of her dolls. Dipper shut his eye and fell back asleep.

(My favorite part of writing this was Bill dreaming about Sev'ral Timez saying the most absurdly flowery things imaginable. Anyway, let me know what y'all think about this week's chapter! And reminder that I MIGHT skip next week or the week after because the next couple chapters need heavier editing than usual.)

hey once you have the time could you do a love-hate smut with Lewis and he’s sort of a masochist?
The one and only II Mafia!Lewis x Reader
Tumblr media
SUMMARY: Lewis has always been dark, too dark for most but to you, the wife of his biggest enemy, that attracted you in ways you knew were sick and twisted.
WARNINGS: **18+** masochism, blood, violence, pain, alcohol, drugs
A/N: It took me a while to write this cause in general I struggle with writing Lewis smut but this came to mind so I hope you like it ;)
"Another round!" Your husband slurred, his arm wrapped tightly around your waist as usual showing everyone you were of his possession.
You sat in his club (or at least he thought so) just like every Friday night watching as your husband lost himself with the neverending supply of drinks and drugs.
"Woah where are you going?" Your husband asked as his grip on your waist tightened to the point you winced in pain slightly.
"Just the bathroom, I'll be back." You played nice leaning over to kiss his cheek knowing that as soon as you left another girl would find their way in his arms and he would forget about you for a while.
This had been a pattern for the last month now. You walked to the bathroom watching as the guards from the club kept their eyes on you.
You knew you were pushing your luck but you always found a way to slip out of the club through the backdoor. Standing in the dark alley you waited not for long before you felt his presence behind you.
"Did you dress up just for me doll?" You felt his breath on your neck, his chest coming in contact with your back as he let his lips place a soft kiss on your shoulder.
"They could be watching." You ignored his question although he knew you weren't dressed this nicely for the man inside you supposedly belonged to.
"You know damn well they're not....remember-" He placed a hand on your waist turning you around to face him. "I own this city baby...and everyone in it." He kissed you sloppily letting his hands roam your body.
"Not that he's aware of" You gestured inside Lewis completely unbothered by your words as he continued kissing your lips, neck, and chest.
"And that's the best part isn't it?" He smiled cockily as his hands squeezed your ass harshly earning a whine from you.
"Let's go home, baby." He grabbed your hand dragging you away.
______________
"Has he touched you baby? Has he made you feel good since the last time?" Lewis squeezed your neck tightly constricting your airway for a second watching as your face drained of color for a few seconds before releasing.
"hmm, no-" You coughed, holding Lewis, arm tightly as some leverage. "he never makes me cum" you finished knowing this only spurred Lewis on.
Lewis started kissing down your body, loving the ink that covered your skin just like his. He kissed down your stomach reaching your hips when he stopped.
You whined at the loss of contact before hissing when you felt a sharp pain near the last spot he kissed.
"What's this?" Lewis asked disgusted.
The tip of his knife rested over a tattoo, the newest one, the knife had just managed to pierce your skin causing blood to start dripping down your sides.
"He did it." You spoke truthfully. "Wanted to mark me some more." You explained.
Lewis hated the symbol, the mark with those initials embedded in your skin as if you were truly someone else's besides his.
"tsk tsk tsk." Lewis shook his head disapprovingly.
"Aghh." You whined as you felt Lewis's knife move across your skin. You watched as he marked an X right atop the emblem.
"Shh baby." Lewis quickly wiped the blood away with his sleeve before kissing over the spot. "We can fix it better later."
You hated the way this behavior only made you wetter. "Lew-" You whined.
"What baby? What to do you need?" Lewis asked cockily as he cupped your pussy with his hand, his palm just rubbing at your clit.
This was torture for you and he knew that.
"Please Lew, please touch me." You begged.
"Hmm, I'm not sure you deserve it doll-" Lewis grip around your mound tightened, and he loved the squeal you let out, it was a little painful but you found pleasure in it. "Letting yourself get marked up like this." Lewis other hand came to press on the fresh wound he created earning another hiss from you.
"You know I'm yours, Lew, only yours please...please just touch me." You grabbed Lewis's hand desperately placing it on your body.
Lewis didn't give you time to think before he uncupped you and thrust 3 fingers inside of you stretching you out without warning.
You screamed only spurring him on further as he began thrusting them in and out of you at a stupidly fast pace.
"FU- LEW! Too much." You began trying to get him to slow down now.
"You were just begging for me to touch you doll." Lewis smirked as he came down to bite on your nipples.
It was too much too fast but it felt incredibly good at the same time.
"LEW I CAN´T- I'M GONNA-" You screamed.
He loved watching you squirm under him. "Not yet-" All of a sudden he stopped, everything.
You whined like a toddler who'd just been denied some ice cream.
"This is gonna be a long night darling-" Lewis kissed you roughly.
"Wh-What a- What about-" You tried to speak through the kisses. "What about him?"
"Took care of him already darling. You're a widow." Lewis started kissing your neck again. "You're stuck with me now...forever."
His words sent shivers down your entire body but excited you at the same time.
But your mind had no more time to think as you felt Lewis's lips cover your pussy, his tongue immediately finding your clit.

Thank you to anyone who gave a like, reblog, and left a comment. It motivated me to write more.

As the raindrops pelted his face, each impact weighed down his eyelids, making them droop with exhaustion. With a muttered curse escaping his lips, he grumbled, "Fuck."
Tonight, he faced multiple betrayals, each cutting deeper than the last. His best friend, boss, team, agency—all had turned their backs on him, sacrificing him like a pawn in a game he no longer understood.
And for what? For all he had sacrificed and given, this was the thanks he received.
Dragging his feet through the sodden ground, he felt the weight of his exhaustion and pain bearing down on him like a leaden anchor. His body screamed for respite, for release from the torment that plagued him. But still, he pressed on, his gaze fixed on the faint light in the distance, a beacon of hope in the midst of the darkness.
His body language betrayed his struggle, his shoulders slumped with weariness, his movements labored and unsteady. Yet, he refused to yield to the darkness that threatened to consume him. He pushed forward with every ounce of determination, driven by a stubborn resilience that refused to be extinguished.
But as the rain continued to fall and the pain in his wound intensified, a chilling thought invaded his mind. "Is this how it ends? Alone, in the cold and the dark?" Finally, his strength gave out, his body surrendering to the inevitable embrace of unconsciousness.
🌅
As he slowly blinked open his eyes, he was greeted by a sudden burst of brightness, the sun's rays piercing through the whiteness that surrounded him. "Am I in heaven?" he murmured, his voice barely audible amidst the surreal scene.
His confusion deepened as he felt something wet against his hand. "What-" His words trailed off as he glanced down, his eyes widening in shock at the sight before him.
There, by his side, was a shepherd dog, its tail wagging eagerly as it gazed up at him with a warm, friendly smile. "I guess it's true, dogs go to heaven," he mused softly, his disbelief mingling with a flicker of amusement.
"Woof," the dog barked cheerfully, before bounding onto the bed beside him, its tongue lolling out as it showered him with affectionate licks. "Stop," he protested weakly, though a smile tugged at the corners of his lips despite himself.
Lloyd had never been particularly fond of dogs, but there was something about this canine companion that stirred a long-forgotten warmth within him. Memories of a puppy he once cared for flooded his mind, though it had been years since he had last thought of it.
Running his fingers through the dog's fur, he couldn't help but notice the striking resemblance it bore to that cherished pet from his past.
"You look like someone I knew," he murmured softly, a pang of nostalgia tugging at his heartstrings as he allowed himself to be comforted by the presence of his unexpected companion.
"He would be saddened if he understood what you just said. Don't you remember Choco?"
Lloyd's heart skipped a beat as her voice pierced the air, drawing his attention away from the dog and towards the source of the sound. Slowly, he turned around, and there she stood — the woman with whom he had once shared a lifetime.
His ex-wife.
You stood before him, holding a tray of food, your expression unreadable. Despite the years that had passed since he last laid eyes on you, you seemed unchanged. There was no trace of worry in your demeanor, only a cool detachment that sent a shiver down his spine.
Even now, after four long years since the finalization of their divorce, you remained a constant presence in his life, a reminder of all that he had lost. The years had not softened your gaze or dulled the edge of your resentment.
As he met your gaze, there was no warmth, no flicker of recognition in your eyes. Only a steely resolve that spoke volumes of the lingering animosity between them. At that moment, he realized that despite the passage of time, some wounds never truly healed.
Lloyd's voice broke the silence, filled with a hint of nostalgia and warmth. "It's really nice to see you, sunshine."
You responded with a dismissive "Hmph," setting down the tray of food and medicine beside him. As you observed him lying on the bed, a surge of conflicting emotions washed over you.
Never in your wildest dreams did you imagine having him back in your life, especially in such a vulnerable state. Four years ago, you had scrubbed every trace of him from your existence, convinced that you were better off without him.
But fate had a cruel way of intervening. Just last week, Choco's persistent barking had led you to investigate, eventually guiding you to the sight of your ex-husband sprawled in the mud, wounded and on the brink of death.
The sight had shocked you to the core, dredging up memories of the tumultuous past you had shared. His dangerous job, the reason you had chosen to walk away from him, now seemed to loom over you like a grim specter.
Seeing him alive, breathing, and smiling with that smug expression plastered across his face, you couldn't help but question yourself. Why did you save him? As you tended to his wounds, a whirlwind of conflicting emotions raged within you.
You couldn't help but let out a sarcastic remark, your tone laced with equal parts irritation and concern. "With who this time did you make trouble?"
Lloyd's reaction was immediate, his expression caught off guard by your directness. This was the woman he remembered, the one who could simultaneously infuriate and enthrall him. "A lot of people, pumpkin," he replied casually, a hint of mischief dancing in his eyes.
You rolled your eyes at his response, unable to suppress a wry smile. "Always a troublemaker," you muttered under your breath, the familiarity of the exchange bringing a sense of deja vu.
"Yup. That's why you like me," Lloyd quipped back, a cocky grin spreading across his face as he attempted to lighten the mood.
You didn't dignify his remark with a response, instead choosing to focus on examining his wound. Gently raising his arm, you inspected the injury with practiced care, noting the signs of improvement with a sense of relief. "No more infection," you announced, your voice tinged with a hint of satisfaction.
As you continued your examination, Lloyd couldn't resist interjecting with a hint of pride in his voice. "Did you notice I've gained more muscles?"
You couldn't deny the subtle changes in his physique, resulting from his relentless pursuit of his dangerous profession. But you refused to acknowledge it aloud, knowing that it would only inflate his already sizable ego.
"How did you find out my place?" you questioned, a mix of curiosity and wariness in your voice.
Lloyd met your gaze squarely, his expression unapologetic. "I always check on you. Just in case," he replied casually, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
After the divorce, he had never truly let you out of his sight, a fact that both unsettled and infuriated you. It was as if he couldn't bear the thought of you moving on without him, even though your relationship had long since run its course.
But for Lloyd, the idea of you being with someone else was intolerable. He couldn't stomach the thought of you in another man's arms, couldn't bear the thought of someone else laying claim to what had once been his.
And so, he took matters into his own hands, using underhanded tactics to sabotage any potential suitors that crossed your path. From slashing tires to sabotaging work projects, he left no stone unturned in ensuring you remained single.
The mere thought of you with another man made him sick to his stomach, a bitter taste rising in his throat. But despite his best efforts to keep you all to himself, he knew deep down that he couldn't control your heart.
And yet, he couldn't help but cling to the hope that maybe, just maybe, you would come back to him in the end.
As Lloyd found himself teetering on the brink of death, his world collapsing around him, he felt a desperate longing for safety and solace. Betrayed by his team, abandoned by his friends, and hunted by the very agency he once served, he was left with nowhere to turn.
With each labored step, he struggled to keep moving forward, to escape the clutches of death that threatened to consume him. But amidst the chaos and despair, a flicker of recognition sparked within his subconscious, guiding him towards a beacon of hope in the darkness.
And then, as if by some miracle, he remembered you. Your address, your home—the one place where he knew he could find refuge, if only for a fleeting moment.
Driven by a primal instinct for survival, his body moved of its own accord, drawing him inexorably towards your doorstep. With each passing moment, the distance between them narrowed, until finally, he stood before your door, battered and broken but alive.
At that moment, as he reached for salvation, he clung to the faint hope that you would offer him sanctuary from the storm that raged within and without. For in the depths of his despair, he knew that he could find the peace and redemption he so desperately sought in your arms.
You let out a sigh, the weight of Lloyd's words sinking in. "Does that mean they knew about me?" you asked, your voice tinged with a hint of concern.
Lloyd shook his head firmly, his gaze unwavering. "No. I made sure nobody knew about you," he reassured you, his tone laced with conviction.
"Good," you responded with a nod, a sense of relief washing over you at his words.
You clapped your hands softly, calling Choco who still lay his head on Lloyd's lap. The loyal dog obediently jumped from the bed to be beside you, his presence a comforting presence in the room.
Lloyd's gaze shifted to the dog, who had grown significantly since the last time he saw him. "He's bigger," he remarked, a hint of surprise in his voice.
"Staying out of town suits him," you replied, a faint smile playing at the corners of your lips as you remembered the countless arguments you and Lloyd had over the city life.
Lloyd nodded in understanding, a pang of guilt tugging at his conscience as he recalled the sacrifices you had made for him in the past.
You stood up, determination etched on your face. "I need to buy more medicine for you," you declared, your voice firm despite the underlying concern.
"Alright. And I'll be waiting for you," Lloyd replied, his tone filled with gratitude.
Before you left the room, you turned to him with a sense of urgency. "Your gun. It's inside the nightstand," you instructed, your words carrying a weight of responsibility.
Lloyd's eyes widened in surprise as he slowly maneuvered his body, wincing with each movement. With cautious hands, he opened the nightstand and discovered his gun, meticulously cleaned and reloaded, lying within.
In that moment, as he gazed at the weapon before him, he couldn't help but feel a surge of conflicting emotions. Despite the animosity that had defined their relationship, he couldn't deny the underlying care and concern that you still held for him.
And as you left the room, he couldn't help but wonder how someone could simultaneously hate and care for him so deeply. It was a paradox that he would never fully understand but one that he couldn't help but be grateful for in his darkest hour.
As Lloyd lay back on the bed and closed his eyes, a sense of profound gratitude washed over him. Despite the perilous path he had tread, he couldn't help but feel incredibly fortunate to be alive, to have been granted a second chance at life, and to have crossed paths with you once again.
In that fleeting moment of introspection, he couldn't help but wonder about the path not taken.
What if the two of you hadn't parted ways?
Would he have found solace and happiness in your embrace, surrounded by the warmth of your love and the companionship of Choco?
The thought lingered in his mind, a bittersweet reminder of his choices and the consequences that had ensued.
Perhaps things would have been different in another reality or in another lifetime. Perhaps he would have found the peace and contentment he desperately sought in your arms.
But as the painkiller coursed through his veins, enveloping him in a blanket of warmth and drowsiness. Exhausted, he succumbed to the pull of sleep once more.
🗡️
Lloyd stirred from his slumber, awakened not by pain but by the gnawing ache of hunger that clawed at his stomach. Slowly, he sat up, testing the limits of his body and finding that the pain had subsided to a dull ache.
With cautious movements, he swung his legs over the side of the bed, wincing slightly as he eased himself into a sitting position. Gradually, he rose to his feet, testing his weight on unsteady legs until he found his balance.
As he ventured out of the room, his gaze wandered around the house, taking in the familiar furnishings and décor that adorned the space. It felt strangely comforting, like stepping into a memory from his past.
His eyes drifted to the photographs that adorned the walls, capturing moments of joy and laughter frozen in time. Each image seemed to tell a story, a testament to the life you had built for yourself after leaving him behind.
With a heavy sigh, he questioned the purpose of his existence and the futility of clinging to a past that no longer held any promise. What was the benefit of wallowing in self-pity, of longing for a life that could never be reclaimed?
As Lloyd made his way to the kitchen, he was greeted by a home-cooked meal waiting for him, prepared with care and accompanied by a note instructing him to simply microwave it.
When was the last time someone had gone to such lengths to provide him with a warm, comforting meal?
The question lingered in his mind as he heated the food and began to eat, savoring each bite as if it were a taste of long-forgotten bliss.
After finishing the last bite of food, Lloyd washed it down with a sip of water, his expression shifting from relaxed to serious as he surveyed the now-empty plates before him.
"At least you let me eat first," he murmured under his breath, a hint of resignation in his voice.
'Click.'
The sound of the gun echoed throughout the house, piercing the stillness of the moment. In the reflection of the fridge, Lloyd caught sight of Carmichael and Susan, their guns trained on him with steely determination.
With a wry smirk, Lloyd raised his hands in surrender, his gaze steady as he met their accusing stares.
"Really? You still have the confidence?" Susan's voice dripped with disdain, her finger twitching on the trigger.
Carmichael's voice was cold and calculating as he spoke, his eyes narrowing in suspicion. "Of all places, you choose to hide here?"
Lloyd's casual shrug belied the tension that hung in the air as Susan's voice cut through the silence once more. "You need to come with us," she demanded, her tone clipped and authoritative.
Lloyd's response was equally defiant. "What if I don't want to?" he challenged, his gaze locking with Carmichael's as he awaited their next move.
Carmichael's response was swift and to the point. "You have no backup," he stated matter-of-factly, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Lloyd's eyebrows shot up in surprise at the revelation. "Really?" he quipped, a hint of skepticism.
Unable to contain her frustration any longer, Susan lashed out at Lloyd, her voice dripping with venom. "I'm going to laugh when you rot in jail—"
But before she could finish her sentence, she was interrupted by a sudden gust of wind that sliced through her left ear, followed by a searing pain that engulfed her cheeks and ears.
"Fuck," she cursed, her hand instinctively flying to her injured ear as she recoiled from the unexpected assault.
As Susan dropped to the ground, the suddenness of her descent caught everyone off guard. Carmichael's attention snapped to the shattered window, his instincts kicking in as he processed the situation instantly.
"A sniper," he concluded, his voice tense with urgency as he scanned the perimeter for any signs of danger.
Susan, still reeling from the shock of the attack, struggled to comprehend what had just transpired. "But how?" she gasped, her voice tinged with disbelief as she tried to make sense of the chaos around them.
Lloyd's smirk widened as he watched the realization dawn on Susan and Carmichael's faces. "Don't underestimate the owner of this house," he cautioned, his gaze flicking towards the framed photos on the wall.
Susan and Carmichael's eyes fell upon a woman adorned with a gold medal, the insignia of an Olympic shooting competition adorning the frame.
"Shit," they both muttered simultaneously, a sense of dread settling over them as they realized the gravity of their situation.
Carmichael turned to Lloyd, his disbelief palpable. "Her? You and her? Impossible," he exclaimed, his voice tinged with shock and skepticism.
But Lloyd's smirk remained, a silent testament to the unexpected ally that had come to his aid in his moment of need.
The contrast between you and Lloyd couldn't have been more stark, yet fate had a curious way of bringing opposites together. While you had earned your place at Harvard through your exceptional skill in shooting, Lloyd's prowess on the football field had secured his admission.
In the law class, the tension between you two was palpable, your conflicting personalities clashing like water and fire. Your debates were heated, your arguments fierce, yet beneath the surface, there lingered a begrudging respect for each other's abilities.
Despite the animosity that simmered between you, there was an unspoken understanding that if one of you needed help, the other would be there to lend a hand. It was a reluctant partnership born out of necessity, fueled by a mutual desire to succeed in a cutthroat environment.
As the years passed, the animosity softened into something resembling camaraderie, a grudging acknowledgment of the role you each played in the other's life.
In the end, despite your differences, you and Lloyd were bound together by a shared journey that neither of you could have predicted.
Lloyd raised his hands in a gesture of surrender, his words laced with a mix of astonishment and resignation. "We're divorced, but still she cares for me," he remarked, a hint of disbelief coloring his tone.
'Bang.'
Another bullet pierced the air, embedding itself in the sofa with a resounding thud.
"Shit. She's going to blame me for this," Lloyd muttered under his breath, his expression clouded with frustration.
Susan's regret swelled within her, a knot forming in the pit of her stomach as she realized the gravity of their oversight. "Just kill him," she spat out, her voice tinged with desperation.
But Carmichael's voice cut through the chaos, his words ringing with authority. "No, the order is to bring him in alive," he declared, his tone unwavering in its resolve.
Lloyd, caught in the crossfire of their conflicting agendas, couldn't help but interject with a hint of sarcasm. "Stop fighting over me. I prefer to stay here," he quipped, a wry smile playing at the corners of his lips despite the gravity of the situation.
Susan's hand trembled as she pointed the gun at Lloyd's forehead, her eyes blazing with a vengeful fury. "I've been waiting for this," she seethed, her voice laced with venom. "This time I'll blow your head off."
But before Susan could carry out her threat, she was overcome by a searing pain that radiated through her hand, causing her to cry out in agony.
'Bang.'
Another shot rang out, the bullet tearing through Susan's hand with brutal force, eliciting a guttural scream of pain from her lips.
As the smoke cleared, you appeared before them, armed and prepared, your presence commanding and formidable. Carmichael and Susan paled at the sight of you, realizing with dawning horror that they were outmatched and outgunned.
"You bring unnecessary problems, Lloyd," you stated coolly, your voice hinting at disappointment.
With guns and spare bullets adorning your body, you stood as a formidable barrier between them and your ex-husband, ready to protect him at any cost.
With a steely resolve, you stepped forward, your gaze unwavering as you assessed the situation before you. Despite the chaos and tension that hung in the air, you remained calm and composed, your mind calculating the best course of action to diffuse the volatile situation.
"Susan, Carmichael," you began, your voice firm but measured, "you have overstayed your welcome. It's time for you to leave."
Susan's hand throbbed with pain, her grip on the gun loosening as she recoiled from the intensity of the burn. Carmichael's expression was shock and disbelief, realizing their attempt to apprehend Lloyd had backfired spectacularly.
But you weren't interested in vengeance or retribution. Instead, you sought a peaceful resolution, one that would ensure the safety of everyone involved.
With a swift and decisive motion, you disarmed Susan and Carmichael, carefully removing their weapons and rendering them harmless. Despite their protests and threats, you remained steadfast, refusing to be swayed by their desperate pleas.
You held their gaze steadily, your voice unwavering as you addressed Susan and Carmichael. "I'm sure neither of you wants to die today. Just as I don't want Lloyd to die," you asserted, your tone firm but not without empathy.
Susan's eyes widened in realization, the gravity of the situation sinking in as she glanced between you and Lloyd. Carmichael's expression hardened, his jaw clenched in silent acknowledgment of the truth in your words.
Lloyd's smirk widened into a knowing smile, his eyes twinkling with amusement as he caught your subtle reference.
"Since he has to clean up the house first," you added with a playful wink, a hint of humor creeping into your tone.
Lloyd's smile broadened at your jest, a sense of relief washing over him as he realized you had everything under control.
"Leave," you commanded, your voice brooking no argument. "And don't ever come back."
Reluctantly, Susan and Charmichael complied, their defeat evident in their defeated expressions as they slunk away, their tails between their legs.
As Charmichael and Susan begrudgingly exited the premises, leaving behind a trail of tension in their wake. "You always manage to find trouble, don't you?" you remarked, a hint of exasperation in your tone.
Lloyd turned to you with a hopeful gleam in his eyes. He placed a comforting arm on your shoulder, seeking reassurance in the midst of uncertainty.
"No matter what, you still care for me, right?" he questioned, his voice tinged with vulnerability.
You met his gaze with a small, enigmatic smile playing at the corners of your lips. "In your dreams," you replied cryptically, words laced with affection and defiance.
With a swift motion, you brushed aside the sentimentality, your expression hardening as you turned away from him.
Lloyd watched you go, his arms crossed over his chest as he contemplated your retreating figure. Despite your dismissive words, he couldn't shake the feeling that beneath your tough exterior, there still lay a flicker of concern for him.
'Woof.'
The sound of Choco's bark brought Lloyd back to the present, the loyal dog appearing at his side with a comforting presence. Lloyd reached down to pet the dog's head, a fond smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
"Your mother is still a bad liar," he remarked with a chuckle.

I think on this fine Saturday afternoon it's a good opportunity to take a breather and remember that there are really no ethical paparazzi pictures. Every single one is inherently exploitative.
Just because photos were taken on a movie set, when someone is 'working,' does not make the practice any less invasive and creepy. Imagine just going about your day, doing your job and having some weirdo snapping pictures of you to sell without your consent for others to endlessly repost online.
There are thousands of pictures of your favourite actor online already. Plenty taken with his knowledge and consent. I'd really like to see more of them on my dash, rather than the creeper shots.
And don't get me started how disseminating these pictures directly leads to people going to said sets. What starts off as admiring how good someone looks has real world implications.
No, hanging around a movie set and disrupting people doing their jobs is not harmless fun or a way to show your appreciation.
If you hang around a movie set, you are a stalker.
Don't tell me that it's okay to take your online admiration for someone offline. You may admire him but he does not, and will never, personally know you. He will never be your friend/boyfriend/daddy. He is a stranger.
The only way meeting your favourite actor is going to happen is at a convention or maaaaaybe a movie premiere if you're incredibly fortunate. You know, places they appear specifically to meet fans (or not in the case of premieres, where the purpose is to promote a movie. Which is also completely understandable if actors don't stop. You are not owed an interaction).
Of course, you cannot help it if you randomly run into someone you admire in the wild. Even then, consider that they probably won't be all too thrilled to be approached in public by a complete stranger. It's up to you to gauge the situation, but remember there is a person at the heart of all of this.
Boundaries and respect are a kindness which deserves to be extended to each and every human being regardless of their looks/talent/fame/wealth.
Fandoms blur those lines a little too often for my liking and I think just scrutinising what you're interacting with, or what behaviour you could be possibly falling down that slippery slope towards is nice to do every once in a while.
I mean no malice with this post and it is not directed at anyone in particular. It's something I cannot help but feel strongly about because I've seen this destructive cycle time and again in fandoms over the years. It's not healthy and it makes us all a little bit more disconnected from our humanity for it...
#not naming names but....... screw it#pedro pascal#pedro pascal fandom#accepting you will never interact with or meet this man will set you free from misery and jealousy i promise#he's great! if you think he's great watch another movie! write about a character! edit some photos of him! make gifs!#there are many MANY ways to engage with his work which don't include reposting creepy invasive photos taken without his consent#it's bs that this is just 'part of the job' because WHY... why should it be any different than any other job??#i know we always venerate talent and put people on pedestals.... that's a tale as old as time#but seeing him blow up last year was wild to witness and some of the behaviour from newer fans is very disheartening to see#he's just a human who poops and farts and is a dick sometimes like the rest of us. let's not treat him like a god thanks#spud rants#a lot LOL#i've bottled this up for a bit because the way this developed in real time to people actually going to the set is. what#and don't 'if pedro was in your city' because NO??? i wouldn't STALK SOMEONE? there's 0 justification for it#i have far better things to do than stalk people#i may be an autistic flop but i'm not a CREEPY STALKER autistic flop thanks x#anyway like i said this is truly not @ anyone in particular and i don't think you are a terrible person if you interacted with the photos#but please just remember there is a person at the heart of all this#a very talented and attractive person yes... but a person all the same#i would truly hate to be famous it gives me so much anxiety just the thought of the constant scrutiny#good thing i never will be LOL#fandom wank#discourse

I know you—how easy would it be to hear that from someone with the most genuine and gentle voice?
Sometimes, even if you’ve known them for years, they still don’t know you to the bone. Even with your regular routine every day, they still wouldn’t remember and be able to predict your next move. It never stayed in their minds.
Things like that made you think about something—was it that easy for people not to be interested in you? Was there anything about you that could pull someone’s attention? Was there anything indifferent about you?
“You’re gonna grab some coffee later, right?”
You haven’t told anyone about that. To be fair, you always buy coffee. You bet your habit is something insignificant—not worth anyone remembering. You’re more used to being the organization's coffee addict. You’re more used to that instead of hearing someone remember that you’re yet to buy coffee.
But who are you to expect? Someone like Vernon would keep that in mind. You often forget that he’ll always be there to know you so well. You don’t need to doubt that he might even know you more than you know about yourself.
You smile, all thoughts from earlier washing away. As always, you have someone you can trust who will ground you back. Someone as observant as him would be impossible to find because he’s the most attentive person you know. You don’t even need to find someone else like that.
“You know me so well.”
Vernon scratches the back of his neck and chuckles. He already noticed that you’ve been spacing out frequently in the past hour, so he immediately knew you hadn’t gotten your daily cup of iced mocha.
He can’t help but giggle at how you acknowledge his desire to love you this way. It makes his cheeks red and his palms sweaty.
You didn’t need to know, but he always found you to be the most exciting and fascinating person he had ever met. And to this day, he often feels his cheeks getting warm whenever you reach for his hands and blabber anything. You also didn’t need to know that you’ve been giving him this effect for long.
It’s an effect that he never thought of treating anyway.
He’d rather know everything about every minuscule about you and keep you in his arms to not see any doubt. After all, he knows you’d tease him endlessly if he told you about his weakness because of you.

I'll try my best to cover each member at least once. Anyways this means I need a name for the series so if you have any suggestions feel free to let me know. Also how did so many of you like/reblog Understand without telling me that I wrote ot8 instead of ot13 :/ (I guess that's what I get for writing at 3 AM). Enjoy!

Joshua knew something was wrong when you emerged from your room wearing your own sweatpants. Half of your closet wasn’t even your own clothes at this point. You had to have gone out of your way to put on something that didn’t originally belong to another pack member. Were you fighting with someone? Were the scents too much? Did you not want to be part of the pack anymore? He tried his best to push the negative thoughts to the back of his mind, but to no avail.
Out of the corner of his eye, he watched as you trudged into the kitchen in silence, stopping halfway through like you forgot what you came for. You didn’t greet him or even acknowledge his presence in the living room. Okay, something is definitely wrong.
Eventually, you remembered your purpose in the kitchen and scampered to the fridge, opening the freezer. After a few moments of shuffling and mumbles of, “where is it,” he heard a sniffle. Then another. Concerned, Joshua turned around, watching in horror as you dropped to the floor and started sobbing. The scent of distress permeated the room and he was quick to scramble to your side.
He crouched down next to you, reaching out slowly. You lifted your head slightly to look at the man in front of you, before throwing yourself into the omega’s arms. Joshua fell back onto his butt with a small oomph.
He couldn’t care less though, he just wanted to comfort his beta. He hugged you tightly, letting your tears soak into his shirt. After a few minutes, your hiccups started to slow and he felt it was the right time to ask, “what’s got you so worked up?”
You mumbled something into his shoulder. He furrowed his brow trying to understand what you said. “You gotta say it louder honey.”
A beat passed, then you lifted her head and looked away from him. “It’s stupid.”
“It’s not stupid if it has you crying on the kitchen floor.” He paused for a second, debating his words. “And clearly something has you upset. You’re wearing your own sweatpants instead of that pair of Jun’s that you really like.”
You snorted. Your scent finally cleared a bit and Joshua gave a small smile. “You don’t have to tell me right now, but I want to make sure you’re okay.”
You sighed and looked longingly at the fridge for a second before turning back to the omega with a deadpan expression. “I thought we still had some Ben and Jerry’s ice cream in the freezer but I guess we don’t.”
Oh. Joshua’s smile grew. “That’s it? I thought you, like, didn’t want to be part of the pack anymore or something.”
An expression of horror crossed your face. “Why on Earth would you think that?”
This time, it was his turn to deadpan. “You came out of your room looking like shit, wearing your own clothes, and then dropped onto the kitchen floor sobbing! Of course I thought something was wrong!”
You rolled your eyes, but Joshua saw the hint of a smile on your lips. He grabbed your hand, intertwining your fingers, before softly saying, “the ice cream really doesn’t explain the first half of that though.”
You laughed for a second before pointing to the calendar on the fridge, where a small red dot was drawn on the top right corner of the box marking today’s date. “I’m on my period Joshie. I don’t want to accidentally get blood on Jun’s pants.”
Suddenly, Joshua felt really, really stupid. It was all right in front of his face. “Oh.”
His surprised face was enough to make you cackle, and he giggled to himself at you rolling on the floor. This time laughing instead of crying. Joshua doesn’t really know what possessed him to blurt this out so abruptly, but sure enough he asked, “do you want to come sit in my nest with me?”
It was your turn to be surprised this time. “You want me to sit in your nest with you? Like right now?”
You didn’t think you had ever seen the omega be so shy since you started living with the pack. His cheeks turned red and he looked away from you. “Yeah I mean, if you are okay with it. It really helps me feel better during pre-heat, so I figured it might help you?”
Joshua finally looks back up at you and is relieved to see that you're smiling. You start to stand up, pulling him with you while saying, “okay Joshie lead the way.”
You don’t miss the way his face lights up. He pulls you along to his and Jeonghan’s shared room. He’s grateful to catch the other omega’s scent coming from Seungcheol’s room. He figured he would be there, Jeonghan spends more time there than his own bedroom. And yes, Joshua is selfish enough to want some alone time with you (and maybe have an excuse to have you covered in his scent).
Finally, you both make it to his room. He feels you pause and linger near the door as he begins to rearrange his nest. He knows exactly what you are going to say before the words leave your mouth. “Are you sure you still want me in your nest?”
He deadpans to you for what feels like the millionth time that day and says, “y/n, if I didn’t want you here I wouldn’t have said anything. Now get your butt in my nest before I carry you there myself.”
Slowly, you approach the side of his bed, unsure of how to enter without messing up his hard work. You don’t miss the hoodie that you thought you lost pushed into the corner closest to his pillow. You run your hands across it before Joshua begins to get impatient and finally tackles you into the nest. As you make contact with the bed, his nose accidentally brushes against your neck. He takes a deep breath and inhales as much of your scent as he possibly can. Before he can realize what he’s doing, he’s pushing his nose into your gland and scenting you.
Your body stiffens and he pulls back, realizing his mistake. “Oh my god I’m so sorry y/n. I didn’t mean to scent you without asking first.”
He feels relieved when he notices the happy undertones peeking out in your scent. Your body relaxes underneath him and you grin up at him before saying, “do it again.”
Joshua doesn’t waste a single second, immediately burying his face back in your neck. A contented sigh leaves your mouth, and god, he would do anything to hear that sound for the rest of his life. You don’t leave him much time to dwell on it though, because you’re suddenly pushing him onto the bed and scenting him like your life depends on it.
He can’t help but giggle as your hair tickles his face and neck. “I guess you’re feeling better?”
You nod into his neck before pulling away to look at him and say, “it's still not ice cream but I’ll take it.”
Joshua is one step ahead of you though, he’s got DoorDash pulled up on his phone already and a pint of Ben and Jerry’s Phish Food ice cream in his cart.

Your apartment was excruciatingly quiet, the only sounds were coming from your fingers as you picked at your shirt, and the low hum of your AC.
He was going to be here any second now. Any second.
Satoru was coming to your house tonight to go over potential suspects regarding the attacks on the school. He was the one who suggested the idea. In theory it sounded great. After proposing it, he quickly followed up saying he wanted to do it at your house, which left you feeling a bit nervous.
The loud sound of your doorbell shakes you from your thoughts, causing you to jump to your feet. He’s here. You rush to the door, gripping the handle tightly as you swing it open. Satoru’s standing there with a pile of papers shoved under his arm.
“Satoru!” You say.
Before you can greet him properly, he’s leaning down and grabbing your face. His lips press against yours in a rather rushed way, the taste of him seeping into your mouth. You fly your hands up and grip his shirt, eventually pushing your lips against his. He’s grinning by the time he’s pulling away, leaning over you.
“Hey.” He responds, cooly.
You try to self regulate your breathing while he slips past you into your apartment. The air immediately shifts around you the second Satoru enters your place, a fact that is not lost on you. No matter where he went, he shifted it.
You carefully shut the door behind you as you turn around, taking in the sight of Satoru in your house. He’s dropped you off before, but he’s never been inside. Everything looks small surrounding him, briefly making you wonder if you’ve actually lived in a dollhouse this whole time.
Satoru takes in his surroundings, before making his way to your couch and sitting down. He splays the papers out on the coffee table in front of him, pulling his blindfold down at the same time.
Stunning.
You suppress a groan at the sight of his blue eyes, instead choosing to slide into the seat next to him. Your hands are sweaty, and you aren't sure if it’s because of your anxiety about the attacks or because Satoru was in your house.
“What’s the matter with you?” Satoru asks, handing you half a stack of papers.
You grab it and quickly flick through the pile, mentally groaning at the amount.
“I’m just worried about what’s been happening at the school.”
You had no reason to believe it was anything scary, anything scarier than what was considered normal at least. But there was a nagging feeling in the back of your brain telling you that something wasn’t right.
“That's why I’m here, right?” Satoru kicks up his feet on your coffee table.
Satoru had brought over a stack of curse users that Jujutsu High was keeping an eye on. It was bigger than you were expecting. You were hoping the answer would lie somewhere in the list. Now that you were looking at how many there were, you were sure statistically speaking they had to be in there, you wouldn't be surprised if the whole damn population of Tokyo was in it.
You heave out a sigh and look down at your half. The first page greets you, a man named Tetsuya Nakamura was listed, his picture staring right at you. He looked like the definition of evil, his dark eyes staring straight at you.
How were you going to narrow down the list?
“I have an update about the last attack. Remember how some trees were lit on fire?” Satoru asks, his gaze flicking through the first paper before he sets it down. “Turns out there were remnants of cursed energy on the remains of the trees. Someone used their technique to light it up.”
Well that would help in knowing what to look for. It didn’t make you feel any more relieved though, knowing there was someone who could light the school on fire lurking around.
“So look for someone who can start a fire, got it.” You mumble, setting Nakamura’s page to the side. As scary as he looked, he wouldn't have been able to do it.
The room is mostly silent as the two of you look through the files of what Tokyo’s most evil had to offer.
It felt like hours had passed as the two of you searched, the sun slowly setting outside your windows.
“Aha, there he is.” Satoru murmurs to himself, pulling a paper out and looking at it.
You perk your head up to see who he’s talking about. Mahiro Kawaguchi. He doesn’t look at all like what you’d expect a curse user to look like. He's skinny with short brown hair, his eyes holding something like humor in them.
“Who’s that?” You ask.
Satoru sets his stack of papers down, eyes drawn into Mahiro.
“He's a pretty infamous fire user. The kids been on our radar for months but we’ve always had bigger fish to fry. I think he's probably the most fitting out of what we have.”
You had never heard of the guy, but that didn’t really surprise you. The elders had their eyes on many people, most of which you probably didn’t even know existed.
“This whole thing is weird, Satoru.”
Something was off about this situation. At first, you thought that they were doing multiple attacks to wear everyone down. But it's been going on for so long, wouldn’t something have happened by now? It feels like there’s a missing piece, one you can’t quite wrap your head around.
Satoru looks up at you expectantly.
“Why hasn’t anything happened yet? If they were going to hit us with something major, they would've done it by now, right?” You ask, dropping your pile of papers on the coffee table.
Satoru looks away for a moment to think, his teeth digging inside his cheek.
“I think so. I'm also really confused about how they burned that patch of trees down. I checked the schedule for the day, and the graduates came as soon as we left. They should have caught them.”
If that was the case, why didn’t they?
You dig the heels of your palms in your eyes, feeling the onset of a migraine coming on. Two mysteries you had to solve, and you weren’t sure how much time you had.
Tilting your head to the side, you notice Satoru is staring at the ceiling. You were never sure if you wanted to catch a glimpse inside his mind or not. Just what did someone like Satoru think about? How much did he know?
“And I mean, Mahiro is a dumbass. The nature of it all doesn’t suit him. He never takes a slow approach. But his curse technique fits it the best. Unless, it’s someone completely new which will be a fucking headache.” Satoru taps his foot lightly against your floor.
He looks down through snow white lashes, making eye contact with you. He looks weary and broken down, exhaustion seeping through his features. It's sick, but you feel relief at the sight of him lowering his guard down for you. It was a sight not many had seen, other than Suguru.
It would be nice to have a break. Jujutsu was constantly on your mind. You loved it and found it fascinating, but god did you want to feel ignorant for just a moment.
“Why don’t we take a breather?” You ask, praying that Satoru will agree to it.
“Sounds good to me.” Satoru sets Mahiro’s paper on the coffee table.
“It's got me so stressed and I’m not even sure why.” You groan.
You deal with much more stressful things on a regular basis, there was no reason for you to feel worried about this. You raise a hand to press your fingertips into your temple, whimpering at the pain.
You’re too focused on your self pity that you don’t notice Satoru inching closer and closer to you.
“Do you need help relaxing?” Satoru grabs your arm, pulling it away from your face.
His cologne overwhelms your senses, making your brain short circuit. You weren’t horny, you weren’t even close, but the second his skin made contact with yours it felt like sex was the only thing on your mind.
“I'm not sure you make me feel relaxed.” You mutter, flicking your eyes to his lips.
Wasn’t that the truth. He made your heart race, your skin tingle, and your mind reel. Relaxed was the furthest thing he made you feel.
“Really? How do I make you feel then?” His face is closer to yours now, and you can feel the heat of his breath gracing your cheeks.
“I can show you.” You respond.
His lips smash into yours, causing a soft moan to slip from your mouth. Satoru smiles into the kiss, turning his body to face you more. The size difference is glaringly obvious as he turns you to face him, maneuvering your bodies to lay on the couch. Lean muscles sink into your flesh, making your back arch.
Satoru tastes like strawberry as his lips meld to yours. You would expect nothing else from the self proclaimed sweets enthusiast. Your arms wrap around his neck, tugging him down towards you as your lips part. Satoru takes the chance to slide his tongue into your mouth, grazing yours. Kissing Satoru was nothing like kissing Suguru. He was rushed, hard, and desperate. Suguru was more methodical, drawing you out until you wanted to beg. The two balanced each other out perfectly, neither being better than the other. Satoru’s breathing picks up as he feels you reciprocate his neediness. The room is filled with the sounds of lips smacking and quiet groans exchanged between the two of you.
You lace your fingers in his feathery hair, giving it a soft tug. Satoru’s brows furrow as he moans into your mouth. It shouldn’t surprise you, Satoru being a loud lover made sense. His groin is pressed against yours as his tongue tangles with yours. You shift your hips up until you can feel his bulge, sliding your pussy against it to get a reaction. You had yet to see it, but you knew his cock was perfect. There was not a doubt in your mind that it would ruin you.
Satoru pulls away to catch his breath, peering down at you. The proximity leaves you breathless, you were at the mercy of the man above you as you were trapped. His eyes are even more beautiful up close if that was even possible. Satoru pushes himself against you, smirking at the way your lips part. You wanted to rip your clothes off and get on your knees to beg for more, you certainly weren’t above it. But the game you were playing with him felt nice, the two of you waiting to see who would break first.
Your pussy clenches at the weight of his cock pressing into you. Even through layers of fabric your body calls for him. You moan out as Satoru pushes against you harder, somehow finding your clit. He grinds against you at a slow pace, his cock beginning to weep inside his pants. Satoru hadn’t been intimate with anyone besides Suguru in a long time, you could almost see the excitement leaking from his pores.
“Satoru, I need-“ you moan once more, your eyes squeezing shut.
“What do you need?” Satoru asks.
You’re pathetic.
You’re pathetic, but you don’t care. You open your eyes and look up at him, lust lighting up your features.
“Need you, need you bad.” You mutter.
Satoru lets out a shaky breath as he presses his lips against yours once more. There’s an urgency this time as he grinds against you faster, his hands gliding down your body.
God likes playing jokes on you, you think. Satoru’s phone blares as he gets a call, disrupting the flow. You desperately want to beg him not to answer it, not to even check who’s calling. But Satoru is a busy man, and you can’t be selfish with his time.
Satoru relents and pulls away, reaching for his phone. You don’t get the chance to see who’s calling him before he picks up.
“What?” His voice makes you feel bad for whoever’s on the other line.
Your chest heaves as you stare up at him, waiting for him to say he had to go. Satoru hangs up and sits on his ankles, his eyes dancing across your figure.
“I'm sorry, I have-.” He begins, sadness leaking from his words.
“I-it’s okay. Go. We can continue this later.” You assure, trying to keep your voice level.
You’re hoping you don’t look as disheveled as you feel. Satoru tugs your shirt down, pressing a kiss against your lips. A string tugs at your heart as you watch the world's strongest sorcerer pull himself up, standing while he adjusts his hair.
“I’ll call you.” He promises, gathering all the papers.
“Be safe.”
Satoru’s eyes flick up to you as if he's caught off guard. How many people have told him to be safe before? He cracks a grin that feels superficial at best before making his way to your door.
“Later!” He bids you farewell before slipping out of your apartment.
You’re met with the harsh silence that falls over your house, a heavy weight resting against your shoulders. Satoru’s presence was so large that the second he left it felt like a hole was carved out of your chest. This sucked. Not only were you sad, but you could feel stickiness between your legs, the result of all the teasing Satoru put you through.
The bastard.
You slowly sit up, releasing a shaky breath as you do so. Your stomach begins to twist as you suddenly realize that it’s dinner time, and you hadn’t had anything to eat since the half doughnut you stole from Satoru in the break room before lunch.
Your eyes glance to the kitchen where you feel dread build up in you. Cooking was the last thing you wanted to do. A chime breaks you from your inner debate.
Suguru: hey
Suguru: what’s up?
You smile at your phone, typing out a response.
You: Satoru just left so now I’m trying to figure out what to eat
Suguru: I can pick up food and bring it over?
You bite your lip as you try to hold back a smile.
You: yes please
Suguru comes to your house within 15 minutes, a soft smile on his lips as he holds up the plastic bag of take out.
“You have no idea how excited I am to see you.” You exclaim.
Suguru slides past you and sets the bag on your counter.
“Are you excited to see me or the food?” He asks as he chuckles, opening the bag. He had gotten yakisoba from your favorite place down the street, a while ago you made an off handed comment to him about how much you loved it. He remembered.
“Hmm, can it be both?” You tease back, appreciating him from behind.
Him and Satoru looked so large in your apartment.
You go to your kitchen to grab extra plates for the two of you. It feels entirely domestic, the way Suguru dishes out the dinner for you. You almost feel angry at Satoru for hiding this man for so long. Then again, if he was yours, you wouldn't exactly be jumping at the chance to share him.
While you eat together, Suguru tells you about his day. It sounded like he was on campus helping Yaga with a project, which apparently was a common occurrence. It honestly blew your mind at how often he went to the school, you had no idea how you managed to miss each other this entire time.
Your stomach is happier with you by the time you’re done. You don’t want Suguru to leave yet, so you ask if he wants to watch a movie with you.
That's how you find yourselves in your bed, his large frame beneath you as you rest your head on his chest. You focus on the way his heart beats underneath you while he strums your back, eyes watching the movie playing on your screen. The two of you aren’t really paying attention, only sort of understanding what was happening in the movie.
“What’d you and Satoru do?” Suguru asks.
“Not much, he came over to look at suspects for the problem we’ve been having at the school.” You conveniently leave out the part where you grinded against each other like a bunch of horny teenagers.
Suguru hums.
“You’ve heard about it, right?” You turn to look at him.
Suguru’s fox eyes drag to your face and you have to remind yourself to breathe normally.
“Yeah, Satoru’s told me a bit. It’s sort of weird.” Suguru slides his hand down your arm, causing a chill to run up your spine.
“That’s what I was saying! It just doesn’t make sense.” You respond. “There’s the fire which was weird, and apparently Satoru doesn’t understand how the graduates missed the last attack, since they should have been there. There’s also an uptick of curses near the school.”
Suguru’s eyes look up in thought.
“That's the part that’s weird to me. There hasn’t been any recent tragedies there, so there shouldn’t be curses there.” Suguru chooses his words carefully before speaking. “It’s almost like it has something to do with someone with curse manipulation, but that can’t be right. It’s not very common, and I would’ve heard of someone else with it.”
Well you had never thought of it like that before. If Suguru thought it was weird, then surely it was. Suguru had curse manipulation so he would understand the signs.
Hold on.
It dawns on you.
Not only are you seeing Satoru, the strongest sorcerer of your time, but you’re also seeing Suguru, arguably the next strongest sorcerer.
Your eyes widen before you force the surprise back down. You knew they were both strong, but there was never really thought put into it. You remember your thoughts from when you first saw Suguru in the bookstore where you told yourself you could handle him, what a joke.
“What’s wrong?” Suguru asks, pulling you from spiraling.
“I just realized how strong you guys are, I’ve never really thought about it before.”
“You just realized? I feel like Satoru never lets people forget.” Suguru grins in amusement.
“Fair.” You laugh to yourself.
You wrap your arm around his chest, appreciating all the muscles underneath you. You think he shudders at the action, but you aren't sure if your mind’s playing tricks on you.
“You’re strong too, you know.” You speak softly.
Suguru’s body goes rigid for half a second before relaxing underneath your touch. You look up towards him, his deep eyes causing your breathing to stutter. It’s hard to tell who moves first, but your lips are on each other in an instance. It was soft and calculated the way his mouth moved against yours. Nothing like Satoru. You feel Suguru’s hand thread against the back of your hair, and you gasp in surprise. Suguru smirks to himself and takes the opportunity to glide his tongue inside your mouth, stroking yours. More, you needed more. You press your mouth harder against him, wrapping your tongue around his.
“Eager, are we?” Suguru pulls back to say.
He had no idea.
You hadn’t cum in days, and the boys were both teasing you the whole time.
Were they even aware of what they were doing?
“Please.” You mumble, your lips brushing against his as you speak.
Suguru pulls back to look into your eyes. You probably looked a mess. You felt like a mess. His eyes slide across your face, taking in your features.
“Tell me what you need.” He asks.
Just like Satoru.
“More.” You respond.
Suguru runs his tongue along his bottom lip before pushing his mouth against yours. You yelp in surprise, grateful to feel his body against yours once more. It was hard to breathe when you kissed him, but you weren’t sure if that was because your mouth was occupied, or because of who you were kissing.
Suguru keeps his lips on yours as he slides out from underneath you, throwing his leg over your body as he hovers over you. All you could see, feel, smell, taste was Suguru. You could hardly get enough.
He uses one hand to tilt your face up, guiding his tongue against yours as he balances his weight on a hand beside your head.
Jealousy strikes through you at the insight that Satoru had this every night.
You push your hips up in an attempt to create friction with something, but you’re met with open air. Suguru chuckles above you, removing his lips to watch you. Yellow eyes flick to your lips before back up and you have to force yourself to breathe.
“I can’t believe Satoru got to you before me.” He insinuates. You know exactly what he’s talking about.
“He-he didn’t. Not really.”
Suguru’s face draws in surprise. Hold on. Satoru didn't tell Suguru how far the both of you went? That was surprising. It was hard to tell whether or not you were grateful. You couldn’t figure out why Satoru would keep it from Suguru. Maybe because he wanted something to hold over his head?
“Really?”
“We just, he uh,” you look away. “He ate me out but that’s all.”
If you were looking at Suguru you would have seen the mischievous glint that flashed across his face. He brings your gaze back to his, craving to see the look in your eyes.
“Is that so?” Suguru trails his finger from your jaw to your throat.
You can feel your pulse beneath his finger, the fragility of your body completely in the grasp of the man above you.
“Y-yes.”
Suguru smiles, but it’s not the smile you know. It’s dark and nerve wracking, as if millions of ideas were flashing through his head. It would have scared you, you think, if it didn’t excite you.
Suguru grabs your throat with a gentle but firm hand and tilts your head up. You’re completely at his mercy as he dips his face down, moving his hand to press his lips against your neck. Your hands fly up to grip his shoulders as he places soft kisses along your tender flesh. It's a ruse and you know it. Suguru was kind, protective, and trustworthy. But he was also strong, assertive, and domineering. You’d heard the rumors about him. Ruthless in a fight, they said. You were starting to wonder if that applied in the bedroom as well.
Suguru leans back to look at your neck before going in again, his teeth now digging in you. You yelp and hold onto him tighter, briefly spasming underneath him at the sharpness of his fangs. Suguru sucks your skin into his mouth, pulling back to glide his tongue over the injury. Your head is dizzy at the switch, and you’re almost left wondering if he bit you at all. He finally graces you with friction as he lowers himself towards you, pressing his cock against you. You gasp out, pushing yourself up more to get even a little bit of pleasure.
Suguru looks at your face as you try to angle your hips correctly, an amused expression on his face. You don’t care how you look. You just need it, and you need it bad. Suguru reaches up to gently push your hair out of your face before he kisses you again. Your attention is split between his lips and his hand as it glides down your body, resting at your waist as he slides it beneath your shirt. Your breathing is coming out much more heavily now as his fingers make their way to your chest. He pushes his hand underneath your bra, trailing across your breast. You pull away to groan as he slides his thumb on your nipple, causing your head to spine.
Off, you need it off.
You reach down to tug your shirt off, throwing it across your bedroom. Suguru instantly looks towards your exposed skin, pushing your bra up.
It had been awhile since you had sex with someone and your anxiety was finally starting to catch up.
You fidget beneath him, tempted to cover up. Maybe he didn’t like what he was seeing?
Before your doubts can eat you alive, Suguru is leaning down, his breath brushing across your sensitive skin.
“God…” he speaks to himself before taking one of your nipples in his mouth.
You moan and arch up into his mouth, his tongue grazing across your nipple. He uses his hand to pinch the other nipple, making your body shake beneath him. You twist underneath him, his heavy breath gliding across your skin as he switches breasts. You throw your head back, keeping your eyes closed. You couldn’t look at him. You may cum on the spot if you did.
Suguru sits up and looks down at you, enjoying the sight of you withering underneath him. You open your eyes to peer up at him, your hands carefully reaching out to tug on his shirt. You wanted more of him. Suguru pulls it off his head and tosses it near yours, before pressing kisses down your stomach. You twitch underneath him, his velvet lips leaving goosebumps as he goes.
Squirming beneath him, you dig your teeth into your bottom lip as he carefully pulls your pants down. Excitement bubbles up in your veins, but your legs try to squeeze shut once you're exposed.
A rush of cool air brushes against your exposed pussy, making you clench around nothing. Suguru’s eyes are focused on your core, his strong hands keeping your legs apart. He lifts a hand towards you, pressing his thumb against your clit.
“You’re so beautiful.” He says, the tone of his voice making you want to curl in on yourself.
“H-hah!” You groan, your body spasming as you try to push against his finger harder.
Suguru’s eyes carefully trail back up to your face to watch your reactions as his thumb begins to swirl against your clit. It was the perfect amount of pressure, you think. Not too hard, not too soft. Your lips are parted as you look down to watch him rub your clit.
“You’re so wet already.” Suguru observes, flicking his eyes down to your pussy.
“Me and Satoru uh…” Suguru pauses his thumb and looks up at you.
Should you tell him?
“We made out and grinded against each other, but he had to leave.”
If you talked about any other man with someone else, you were sure the other guy would be pissed. But that wasn’t the case with Satoru and Suguru.
A hunger flares across Suguru’s face as he listens to you, your heart fluttering.
“He just left you like this?”
You dig your teeth into your lip and look up at him.
“Why don’t I take care of you?” He asks, starting to rub his thumb again as he looks into your eyes.
You aren’t even sure how to beg him for it, so you just whimper a “please”. Suguru smiles and slides down your body until his face is right in front of your pussy.
Your hands rest against your thighs as you stare down at him, his face mere inches away from where you needed him most. It was scary, you wondered what was going through his mind as he looked down at you.
“So fucking perfect.” He murmurs, looking up at you as he leans in.
The first lick is a shock to your system, and the second restarts your brain. Suguru slides his tongue through your folds several times to taste the wetness that clings to you, before focusing on your clit. You moan out and lift a hand up to rest on Suguru’s head, unable to run your fingers through his hair, as it was tied up in a bun. Suguru wraps his lips around your clit and gives a harsh suck making you arch your back. Just like kissing, Suguru was completely opposite of Satoru when it came to eating you out. Satoru was messy, and overwhelming. Suguru was slow, choosing to draw out your moans for as long as possible. You think Suguru would keep doing this forever if only to torture you.
“Pull it.” Suguru orders, speaking directly into you as he reaches up to take his hair from the bun.
The hair falls against your thighs, briefly tickling you before he flicks it back behind him. Why was such a small action so fucking hot? You tentatively run a hand through his hair before gripping it, unsure of how hard to pull. Suguru grins against you as he licks your clit again. Your hand is shaky as it holds his hair, and it seemed like Suguru wanted to change that. He continues to eat you out as he lifts a hand up to wrap around yours, tightening your grip on his hair. He pulls his hand back a bit, causing you to tug his black locks harder than you would’ve if he didn’t help. Didn’t that hurt? Suguru groans into your pussy, the noise making you go cross eyed. He liked it rough.
You keep pulling his hair with the same harshness once he releases his hold on you. His tongue trails down until it finds your pussy, sliding in once, twice, before pressing against you and keeping it inside. The moans filling your room are pornographic, the sound almost making you flustered. You couldn’t dwell on how ridiculous you sounded, not with the way Suguru was tongue fucking you.
“So sweet, I'm a bit jealous that Satoru got a taste first.” He says as he pulls back, staring at the way your clit twitches beneath his gaze.
“At least I get to have you fully first.” Suguru is talking to himself you think, because there’s no way in hell he expects you to respond.
Suguru licks your clit slowly several times before sucking it again, making you pull on his hair even harder. Your other hand is holding his next to your hips, fingers intertwined. He’s breathing hard against you as he brings you closer to the edge, you almost wondered if he was going to cum too.
You can feel yourself getting closer and closer, but you almost don’t want to cum. You wanted to stay in this state forever, the pleasure of being trapped beneath Suguru’s mouth leaving you breathless.
“S-Suguru it feels-“ You let out a moan, looking down at his face between your legs.
“Tell me how it feels, baby.” He’s muttering against your skin, lips finding their way back to you instantly.
“Fuck- feels so good Suguru, you’re gonna make me c- I’m gonna cum!” You sob, feeling your pussy rhythmically twitch.
Suguru doesn’t respond, at least you don’t think he does. You can’t hear anything besides the loud moans you’re releasing and the sounds of his tongue making contact with your dripping core. Suguru continues sucking your clit until your body goes completely stiff under him as you cum on his tongue. He uses it to his advantage as he sucks you through it, your groans only encouragement for him.
When he stops, you briefly wonder if you’ve died and gone to heaven. He looks like a saint between your twitching thighs, his lips covered in your release as his eyes look heavy with lust.
Even though you had just cum, you wanted more.
“How’d that feel?” His soft voice floats over to your ears as he runs his hands down your thighs.
Incredible, breathtaking, time stopping. You don’t think you’ve cum like that in years, if ever. The only other time you felt just as good was when you came on Satoru’s tongue.
“G-Good.” Your voice is shaky as his hands continue to run along your skin.
Why did he ask? Could he not see how you looked underneath him? Maybe he just wanted to hear you say it.
“I’m glad, it’s been awhile since I…” he trails off as he takes in the sight of your form beneath him, his eyes darkening.
You tremble beneath him as aftershocks flow through your body.
“Can I… I wanna…” you try to reach up to tug at his pants.
Suguru grins and takes your hands into his.
“Not now, I just wanna be inside you.” His voice is low and dangerous, the tone of a man who was going to ruin you.
Suguru’s eyes flick up to yours before something dawns on him.
“I don’t have condoms.” He’s speaking more to himself than you.
Suguru hadn’t been fucking anyone besides Satoru in years. It wasn’t like Satoru was going to get pregnant. Neither of them had any need to get them.
He pulls away to sit on his heels as he looks at you, a disappointed look on his face.
“We shouldn’t…” he mutters.
There was no way in hell you were stopping.
You had condoms in your nightstand, but you didn’t really want to use them. You wanted to feel Suguru wholly and completely.
“I'm on birth control.” You reach out to grab his hand again to tug him towards you.
You were on it, and you don’t think you had ever been so glad you started it until this point. You sent gratitude to your past self, grateful that you had the future insight to start birth control. Suguru searches your eyes and you try to translate just how badly you wanted him.
“Are you sure?” He asks.
“I'm sure.”
Suguru presses his lips against yours and the taste of your cum leaks into your mouth. He wasn’t rushing, but you could feel the underlying sense of urgency in his touch. He holds your face with one hand as he begins to unbuckle his pants with the other. Your pulse is erratic in excitement as he pulls the clothing down past his cock, and you're too distracted with his lips to look.
Suguru pulls away, the string of saliva connecting your lips tearing apart as he tugs his pants off the rest of the way. You stare at the way his luscious hair hangs from his head, memories of what it felt like between your fingers.
“Ready?” He asks, snapping your attention back to him.
“Y-yeah I’m r-“ you start, looking down at his cock.
Holy fucking shit.
Suguru’s eyebrows raise as you stare at him, his leaky tip standing rock hard. He was joking, right? You knew it was big from the way it felt in the club, but you were not expecting this.
His face relaxes as he realizes what you're staring at. He smiles before grabbing your hip. His thumb smoothes along your skin while you look up at him, your eyes wide.
“It's okay baby.”
“Suguru, I don’t think, it’s not gonna,” your hole clenches as you try to imagine fitting all of him inside you.
“Trust me.” He kisses your forehead and you feel your defenses start to fall. When he said that, it was hard not to.
“I'll be right here this whole time.” He says lowly, pulling away.
You take a deep breath and spread your legs wider, staring at him as he situates himself between your legs. His cock nudges your entrance and you know it’s going to hurt more if you watch, but you can't look away.
At least you were dripping.
Suguru holds his cock as it pushes against your pussy, sliding in easily. Your mouth drops open as he starts to fill you up.
“Relax for me, I got you.” He speaks softly to you, and you will your tense muscles to calm down.
It works enough that he can slide into you even more, making you whimper in response. Your walls are clinging tightly to him as he pushes into you, nice and slow.
You throw your head back and shudder as Suguru takes his hand off his cock, resting his grip on your sides. He’s halfway in, but it still feels deeper than anyone you’ve had before. He leans on his forearms above you as he slides the rest of the way in, his body going completely still to let you warm up.
“Y-you’re so,” You stutter, your voice airy as you try to speak.
It pinches slightly, your pussy spreading wide to accommodate his size.
“I know, I know. Look at me.”
You lift your head up to look into Suguru’s eyes. He’s showing concern as he stares down at you, and your heart tugs at the sight. He was beautiful.
“Are you okay?” He asks.
You were okay, you were just stretched more than you had ever been. The sting subsides as he sits inside you, refusing to begin until you give him the okay.
“Yeah.” You breathe out.
Your arms wrap around his neck, threading your fingers through his black hair. It calms you a bit.
“Want you to start.” You say as you look away, the intensity of his gaze overwhelming you.
Suguru chuckles and places a kiss to the side of your lips before drawing his hips back.
“Anything for you.”
He slides back in slowly and you moan at the feeling. Your walls hug him tightly as he pulls out again, moving ever so faster as he feels you warm up beneath him. It didn’t hurt anymore, all you could feel was white hot desire flow through you. Suguru’s eyes are watching your expressions as he fucks you, in awe at the way your face pinches up in pleasure each time he bottoms out inside of you.
The veins on his shaft press into your pussy, making you clench around him. Once you do, his brows furrow and he lets out a heavy breath. You wanted to hear him groan again, like the sounds he let out when he was eating you out. There’s no pain on your face as he speeds up, his hips pulling back to snap into you again. You weren’t sure you had ever felt so full before.
You moan as he thrusts into you, letting yourself tug on his hair. His slips inside you easily at the mix of your cum and his saliva, his cock picking up speed as he pushes into you.
The proximity of his face makes you dizzy, your body feeling shaky underneath his gaze. You were starting to understand what Satoru meant when he said Suguru was smothering. You press your lips against his and let his tongue slide against yours. You moan against his mouth until he pulls away, sitting up. You’re sad that he’s further away, but you’re quickly met with how much deeper he can get at this angle.
“F-fu…” you groan as he slides himself all the way inside you once more.
Suguru holds your waist as he fucks you, his cock pushing against your gspot each time he bottoms out. It was hard to breathe. Your pussy holds onto him tightly as if you didn’t want him to pull out, which you really didn't. His face is focused as he stares down at your pussy, his lips parted as he watches his cock slide out only to be sucked in once more.
“You feel so fucking good.” He murmurs, a groan slipping out as he raises a thumb up to press against your clit.
Your legs try to snap together in response but his body stops you. Suguru rubs your clit, his cock nudging into you at a much faster pace. Your eyes roll back in your head as he fucks you, his cock making you breathless.
You want him to rub your clit faster, but you're not even sure you can handle it. He angles his hips to push against your gspot even more, making you groan out. It felt like you were in heaven, you had never felt so good before.
Suguru slides his thumb against your clit faster, smirking to himself once you clench against him. He lets out a quiet moan at how tight you were, feeling dizzy at the way you wrapped around him.
He rubs against you while fucking you, forcing his eyes to stay open to watch your face. Drools seeping past your lips as he pushes into you, his cock filling you to the brim. You aren't sure how much longer you’re going to last. You already felt sensitive from your previous orgasm, and his thumb was only working you closer to the edge. His cock is fast and unforgiving as he fucks you, leaving you no time to recover.
“I'm close,” you moan, looking down at how he thrusts into you.
“Can tell, you keep,” Suguru groans as you clench around him again. He pants as he fucks into you. “Doing that.”
He speeds his thumb up and fucks into you faster once you clench around him again.
“Suguru,” you moan, reaching up to dig your nails into his arms. “Suguru!”
“Just like that, baby, just like that.”
You twitch underneath him as you groan, cumming on his cock. Suguru moans in reaction to the way your pussy grips onto him. He fucks you through it, his hips losing rhythm as he feels himself get closer.
Your eyes lose focus as they look up to him, your mouth hanging open as he continues to use your body. There’s a light sheen of sweat covering his chest, his head thrown back as he softly groans.
“Where?” He asks, voice sounding slightly strangled.
“Inside, inside.” You assure, moaning with him.
“F-fuck.” He murmurs.
Suguru’s hips stop as he starts to cum. It shoots inside you, whiteness leaking from your body. It feels warm as it fills you up, sliding down your pussy. Suguru stops and looks down at your core, pulling his cock out slowly. He watches his cum push from your needy hole before he snaps out of it, looking up towards you.
“Where’s your towels?” He asks, intent on taking care of you.
“You can just grab something from the hamper.” You grumble, feeling exhaustion start to seep into you.
Suguru hops up and digs in your hamper to find a discarded shirt, carefully sliding it between you to wipe up his cum. Your body spasms underneath him, still sensitive.
“There.” He says, tossing the shirt back into the hamper.
Suguru lightly runs his hands up your sides, making you shudder. He leans down to press a kiss against your lips, and you find yourself disappointed once it ends.
“You did so good, baby.” He coos, grinning at your sleepy smile.
Suguru lays down beside you, eyes fluttering as you situate yourself next to him. You wrap your arm around him, and nuzzle against his chest. His touch is light as he strums your back, letting the silence fall over you both.
You didn't need to speak, you didn't have anything to say. You just wanted to enjoy the presence of him before he had to go.
“When do you have to leave?” You ask, your arms subconsciously tightening around him like that would stop him from going.
You look towards your bedside table where your clock sits. 10:30 pm.
“Whenever you kick me out.” Suguru says, a hint of teasing in his voice.
“I'm serious.” You nudge him and laugh.
“So am I.”
You think for a moment. Honestly, you were expecting him to leave soon. You were used to Satoru constantly being busy.
“Can you stay the night?” You ask, scared he might turn you down.
Suguru wasn’t rude, but you were afraid nonetheless.
“Of course.” Suguru kisses the top of your head.
Your eyes flutter closed as you grin, focusing on the electricity between your bodies as you drift off to sleep.

Somewhere along the way your wires got crossed. You could blame it on Han and Minho for what they did but that’d be unfair wouldn’t it? What they uncovered in you—the same darkness lurking within themselves—has alway been here and it refuses to be buried again. But you try.
It’s been a long 15 minutes soaking in this bath with one leg draped over the side of the tub and your waterproof vibrator buzzing away beneath the lilac bubbles. Music plays in your headphones, ambient tunes meant to melt the tension from your body. Squeezing your eyes shut you try—you really try—to chase off intrusive visions of two sickeningly handsome psychopaths. You don’t want to remember what you saw that night but the picture’s so clear in your head that it might as well be playing out in front of you all over again.
For the few seconds that you manage to shake the thought, your vibrator feels useless. It hums against your walls with all the enjoyment of a leg that’s fallen asleep. But when the image snaps back into frame—them standing there in nearly nothing, blood dripping down their bodies—it feels heavenly. The pleasure travels through you in pulses, spreading further out the longer you indulge in your memories.
This isn’t right. You have to stop. You know you do. So do it. You can’t. Lie to yourself all you want but this is what you need. Water splashes onto the floor as your leg slips into the tub, moans dancing freely from your lips. Your heart thumps like a techno beat, battling the light music in your headphones for dominance.
The pressure in your lower belly overtakes you, dangerously close to erupting. Crashing into your high, your eyes fall open and you’re met with a face you haven’t seen in months. You open your mouth to scream but a hand is already around your throat, dragging you out of the bathtub.
“Where’s my brother?” the man shouts, the dim lighting in the bathroom only partially concealing a face twisted with rage.
You claw at his hands, nails slicing through his skin like razors. He grunts, gripping his bloody hand, and tosses you across the floor. A framed picture crashes to the floor as you hit the wall with a thud, your ears ringing at the impact. Turning to lunge at you again, he trips on the soaking wet bath mat and falls at your feet. You latch onto the toilet, struggling to pull yourself up when you’re still covered in bubbles.
“I know you know something! So tell me!” he demands, catching you by the ankle. He uses all of his strength to drag you down but you’re too slippery to hold onto.
“I don’t know where your fucking brother is!” you scream, grabbing onto the toilet tank. Tucking your fingers under the lip of the heavy lid, you pull at it as hard as you can.
“You’re lying! Either tell me what happened or I’ll make you, you fucking bi—”
Ding! You swing around and crack him in the head with the porcelain lid. He stares up, not particularly at you, his gaze empty. Everything goes dark for him, blood gushing down his head, and he’s down. High off of adrenaline, you toss on your robe and run for the phone at the end of the hall. Hands shaking, tears running down your cheeks, you pick it up to call the cops. But something stops you.
Instinct takes over and your fingers are already dialing the new number. You wipe the tears from your cheeks and find yourself fixated on the bloody skin under your nails. The line rings so many times that you almost think no one will answer.
“My baby!” Han cheers on the other end of the call, taking a deep breath to calm himself down. “I missed you.”
There’s some shuffling followed by Minho’s voice, “We missed you!”
You flick the skin from under your nails, smiling to yourself. “Hi boys,” you sniffle, knowing there’s no turning back, “I missed you too. You wouldn’t happen to be, uh, busy tonight would you?”
Tumblr media
Minho feels like an old man who can’t get his dick up. It might actually be easier if he were. At least then there’d be a pill to fix what he’s going through. Ever since you walked out that door both he and Han have had the worst dry spell they’ve ever experienced. The only dry spell they’ve ever experienced. The last body they touched was your ex’s. They threw it, every last piece of it, somewhere no one would ever find him and left it at that. It just wasn’t fun anymore.
Detectives call what they’re going through a “cooling off” period. It’s the time between murders when a serial killer returns to their normal lives, biding their time until they can kill again. Poking his spoon around in a bowl of soggy cereal, a pouty Minho doubts that’ll happen any time soon. “I hate this!” he whines, kicking his feet up on the coffee table.
Han pushes his legs away, flopping down beside him on the couch, “Get your feet off my coffee table.”
“Meh meh meh meh meh meh meh” Minho mocks, deflating when it hits him that he can hardly enjoy picking on Han anymore.
Han scooches closer to Minho, offering him a shoulder to lay his head on. Minho takes it, feeling Han’s sadness without having to see the heartbroken look on his face. No matter how much he teases him, Han’s his best friend. They’re brothers. They understand each other like no one else can and he knows how badly Han hoped you would too.
“You wanna go to the medical history museum tomorrow?” Minho asks, calling upon all of his cuteness to make Han happy.
Han doesn’t answer but exhales a “Hmm…” that signals he might be interested.
Minho bats his eyelashes, laying it on heavy, “Come on, they have the world’s largest collection of human skulls. You know you love good head. I mean, no, wait, that didn’t…shit.” Han hangs his head, laughing so hard it makes him wheeze. “Why would you say that? Just why?”
Minho sits up, elbowing him in the side, “Fuck you. I was trying to cheer you up.”
Han throws his arms around Minho, hugging him tightly, “Stop sulking! I’ll go! Who needs a girl when you have the world’s largest collection of human skulls, ya know?”
Minho narrows his eyes, resisting the urge to fight against the hug just this once. Deep down inside, really deep, he loves it. “Exactly” he huffs, “Women are a distraction anyway. We’re better off without her.”
Ring! Ring! Ring! The sound of the phone sucks all of the air from the room and their stomachs collectively sink. In record time they’re halfway across the room, pushing each other out of the way to check the caller ID. Your name flashes on it and Han snatches it up just as Minho’s fingers graze the buttons.
Han answers the phone, almost too excited to contain himself, “My baby!” Minho folds his arms, quietly judging Han for being such a dork about this.
“I missed you” Han says, lower this time, his back turned to Minho.
What happened to not needing you? What happened to being better off without you? Oh, fuck it.
Minho steals the phone, blushing so hard his ears turn red, “We missed you.”
Tumblr media
A minimum of six traffic laws were broken when the boys realized something had happened to you. Of course you couldn’t tell them the incriminating details over the phone. Luckily, hearing you cry was more than enough for them to stop everything and speed across the city to check on you. They really only cared about seeing you again but the presence of a possibly dead body doesn’t hurt.
In your second stroke of luck tonight, if you can call it that, you’re positive no one knows he’s here. There’s nothing on him to track him by. He came only with the tools he used to break in and a taser he no doubt intended to use on you. And there won’t be any fuss from your downstairs neighbor. She hasn’t been able to hear since 1982. All that’s left is the matter of what to do with him.
Gathered in your bathroom, the three of you stand over the body carefully watching for signs of life. Han and Minho glance at each other behind your back. They’re both wondering the same thing but don’t know how to ask. They play a quick game of rock, paper, scissors. Han’s rock and he hates that for himself. Minho’s paper and he’s never been happier. Minho mouths, “Loser” and Han flips him off.
“Baby” Han says sweetly, holding your hand, “Were you and this guy, like…”
You stare at him, happy to be holding his hand but genuinely confused, “Were we?” Reading the room, you pick up on what they mean. “No, no, no! Never! This…” you say, kicking the motionless body, “Is my ex’s shithead brother. He broke in cause he wants to know where his brother is.”
Minho shrugs, pulling the belt to your bathrobe out, “Let’s make sure they’re reunited then shall we?” He wraps the belt around each hand a few times until there’s tension in the fabric and just enough room to fit a human neck. Minho sits down on the floor, positioning the man’s head in his lap. He’s ready to tighten the belt around his neck but there’s something bugging him. “Do you guys hear that?”
You all listen closely, picking up on a nearly inaudible buzzing. Han follows the sound over to the bathtub where the bubbles have long dissolved and spots the source immediately. He rolls his sleeves up and reaches into the water, pulling out your vibrator.
“Oh my god. Give it here!” you shriek, taking it and switching it off. You toss it in the cabinet under the sink, unable to handle how much they’re obviously loving this. “So, did you come at least?” Minho asks, relaxing his hold on the belt.
“I’m not answering that.”
Han’s studied you enough to tell when you’re lying. “She did! Did you think about us when you did it?”
Minho giggles, far too pleased with himself, “She did.”
“Go to hell!” you snap, getting on your knees beside Minho. You take the belt from him, winding it around your hands the same way that he did. “Show me.”
Your boldness throws them off—this is far from what they were expecting—but they don’t hesitate to guide you. Han joins you on the other side, showing you how to hold the belt properly. Minho checks the pulse before propping the body up for you. It’s weak but it’s there. It feels natural to be doing this together, like the space between them was always meant to be one you’d inhabit.
“Thanks for coming, you guys” you say, seconds from strangling a man, “Most guys won’t even buy me flowers and you risked the electric chair for me. That’s way sweet”
“You’re worth risking the electric chair for” Han coos, kissing you on the cheek.
Minho nods in agreement, kissing you on the other cheek, “Cutie.”
Your cheeks are so warm and you can’t stop yourself from smiling. You’re basically glowing at the love being poured into you. It’s perfect enough that you regret running away from it to begin with but that won’t happen this time.
“Aah!” the man croaks, shooting back into consciousness. He tries to sit up but you use the belt to hold him down, squeezing it as hard as you can around his neck. You lock your legs around him, something they didn’t need to instruct you to do, and hang on until he goes limp. They look at you like they’re terrified of you, afraid to make any sudden movements in case you’re in the mood to come for them too.
Han takes him by the wrist, checking his pulse, “He’s…dead. Holy shit. You killed a guy.”
“I killed a guy?”
“You did! Good girl” Minho applauds, breaking out into a happy dance.
You and Han join him, dancing to totally different songs in your head but celebrating together nonetheless. Han gets up from the floor, dusting himself off, “Now you’ve just gotta chop him up. Got any food in your fridge? I’m hungry.” He wanders off to the kitchen, leaving you and Minho alone in the bathroom.
Minho gets up too, kissing you on the top of the head. “I could use a midnight snack too” he yawns following Han’s lead, “Be careful with the radial artery, love. It bleeds like a bitch.”
Pushing the body off of you, you hop up to chase after them. “Wait! You’re ditching me for snacks? I don’t have the tools for this. And what the fuck is a radial artery?”

| A/N - there are a few trigger warnings for this fic, including abortion talk, vomit, death, (basically the after effects of demonology, and when she was pregnant at 15), there is a scene where I talk about blaming someone’s death on someone else so please if you know that it will trigger you, don’t read it, otherwise I kind of tried something new with my writing style so please let me know what you think
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You woke up around 2:30am to the sound of shuffling, you knew Emily and you knew that it would be her.
You heard her shrug off her coat and throw her keys into the bowl, you heard her hang her coat up and the sound of her heels as she kicked them off as she made her way into the kitchen to grab herself a glass of wine
You also heard her sigh to herself as she sat down on the couch
"Baby?" your voice both startled and calmed her, not expecting you to be behind her, but a gratefulness that you were.
"Oh my God Y/N I'm so sorry, did I wake you?" she quickly placed the glass down and made her way over to you.
"No no, I was up anyway" you spoke before you thought, making it so it sounded like you waited up for her all this time.
You both knew it was a lie, you were always in bed at 10, 11 would be pushing it, you definitely were not going to be awake at, now, 2:45am
Emily nodded, she knew you weren't telling the truth but she also knew that this lie was harmless.
"Emily I'm-"
"I'm coming to bed, baby, you go up and I'll be right there" Emily finished your sentence, already knowing what you were about to say.
Emily smiled as she made her way over to you, kissing your head and then your lips "sure" you smiled looking up at her with every single love and admiration a person could speak with their eyes.
3:08 was when Emily finally walked through your bedroom door "bad case?" you whispered so quietly that you hoped she didn't hear you.
"No not a case" she sighed as she slotted herself into bed with you.
"Oh" your eyebrow perked up "do you want to talk about it?" you lay there, now face to face with Emily, you both leaning with an elbow propped up, you stuck out your hand to swipe some hair behind her eyes.
"It's about Matthew"
You remembered when Emily confided in you, almost 2 years ago, you remembered how Matthew and how he encouraged her to go to an abortion clinic when she was 15 and pregnant and scared.
"What about him sweetheart?" you whispered gently.
She waited a few minutes, she pulled you closer to her by curling her hand around your waist and pushing you towards her, she rested her forehead against yours before she finally spoke again.
"He's dead, he died and I couldn't save him" that's what broke her, sobs finally broke free, she had been keeping those in from the minute she found out about his death, from when she had to go and talk to Matthew's parents and when she sat in her office for hours and hours and hours.
She sat there, for almost 4 hours; cold, scared, and alone, mirroring exactly how she felt 17 years ago, but only this time, she didn't have Matthew Benton by her side, she had you.
You pulled her in close, your chin on her head as she sobbed into your chest, you kissed her head many times as you rubbed her back all whilst whispering sweet nothings to her gently
"Emily?" you whispered, looking down at her, Emily didn't answer, instead her grip tightened as she looked up at you "hey hey it's okay, its okay, you're okay" you affirmed, Emily nodded and mouthed the same words back, you kissed her head once more "I just want you to promise me something, do you think you could do that?" you spoke softly.
"Hmm?" Emily both partially agreed whilst simultaneously wondering what you were about to say
"Promise me that if you ever need to talk to me tonight, you'll wake me up, or, or, if you have a nightmare or anything" tears fell from your face as you looked down to see Emily, she had been crying for hours and hours, she was tired and you could tell
"Yeah" she bit her lip and looked up at you, an attempt at a smile was made but faltered nonetheless "yeah I can do that?" she breathed out as she tucked her head into your chest again
Soon enough, Emily's breathing slowed down, she was exhausted and she tired herself out and she fell asleep in your arms, you kissed her head once more and you told her that you loved her and that she was the strongest person you had ever met, a slight smirk appeared on her lips to signify that she heard you which made you smile.
You watched her sleep for a few minutes before deciding do to the same, you shuffled down and kissed her shoulder as you slung your arm around her waist.
You woke up the next morning on your back with Emily's arm around your waist tightly, you screwed your eyes together as you hadn't yet adjusted to the morning sun, carefully you turned over to see a bright red "6:52" looking back at you, making you groan slightly, it was like it knew it was your day off
You kissed Emily's head once more before you went back to sleep.
You woke up a few hours later to the sound of thrashing next to you, you quickly sat up in bed to find Emily crying, with a layer of sweat down her forehead, as fast as you could you quickly sprinted to the kitchen to get her a glass of water, you ran back down the hallway into your bedroom to find Emily in the same position only now muttering to herself "I need to save him" your lip quivered as you made your way over to her, you knew how to handle Emily's nightmares, considering you had been her best friend for 5 years and together for 3.
"Emily, Emily honey, you're having a nightmare" you shook her lightly "Emily" your voice now filled with concern as she wasn't bulging "Emily" you accidentally shouted louder than you expected to.
With a huge gasp of air, Emily flung herself forward and heaved heavily, you knew what was coming so you quickly went to your bathroom to grab a bin for her to throw up in, you rubbed her back as she did so and held her hand all the way through it.
"Here" you picked up the water and slowly placed it in front of her lips "drink this" you prompted, you cleaned everything up and went back to bed, you sat up on the bed, purposely sitting behind Emily, you adjusted yourself to sit behind her as you pulled her up in between your legs, she kept quietly drinking the water, you kissed her shoulder again before leaning into her nightstand to retrieve a brush out of there, you asked silently for permission as you raised one eyebrow along with the hairbrush, she nodded and started sipping some more water.
You started brushing and playing with her hair, Emily would never admit it, but she absolutely loves people playing with and brushing her hair, she just shrugged it off as she never had an older sister or an older relative in her life that would take care of her the way you did; gently, warmly, and fully.
"I had a nightmare about Matthew" she sighed, a few minutes later.
"Okay" you gently prompted again "are you ready to talk about it?" she shook her head harshly "okay that's okay" your voice laced with a compassionate tone "well whenever you're ready to talk about Matthew or about anything, I'm always here" you repeated once more, you didn't have to tell Emily if she knew that because she always did.
"Matthew's parents" she placed her glass on the nightstand as she held back a sob and tried to console herself at the thought "they uh, blamed his death on me" she started to pick around her fingernails
"What!?" panic in your voice, almost in awe at how someone could do something as terrible as that.
"I shouldn't have said anything I'm sorry" Emily quickly retaliated.
"Hey, hey, no why are you sorry?" you asked as calm as you could.
"Because you believe them right? because you believe that I killed Matthew because I didn't get there in time!?" Emily raised her voice slightly, but you knew she wasn't angry at you.
"Can you turn around and look at me" you sighed, hesitantly Emily turned around to you, her head on your stomach as she lay in between your legs again "I would never, never think that" you sighed as you reached down to cup her cheek before repeating what you just spoke "I know you got there as quickly as you could, you didn't do anything wrong" you smiled gently.
"They still blame me for the abortion" Emily played nervously with the strings of your pajama shorts.
"Honey, you were 15, you were 15 and pregnant, it's okay to have been scared, you did the best thing for you and the baby" you sighed gently, your hand caressing her cheek.
"Thank you" she gripped your hand, absentmindedly swirling her finger around it creating different patterns, something she did when she was either nervous, scared, or sad "come here" you pulled her back up and hugged her as tight as you could "I'm glad you're here, I love you so much, please don't ever forget that" you stapled a kiss to her forehead once more before she fell asleep, you rubbed her back and played with her hair, whispering how much you loved her and listening everything you loved about her.

I love your blog so much!! You're without a doubt my favorite writer on this app, you write yanderes so so well and you just manage to capture so amazingly the personality of EVERY character you write, especially Byakuya, i love him so much, and you just write him so well, i've been reading and rereading your works nonstop!
Could i please request yandere Byakuya with a Reader who's very kind and gentle and they like to follow him around (not in an annoying way, but in an attempt to try to befriend him and make sure he is okay during the killing game, since he is kinda excluded for being an ass). Better yet, how would he react to Reader actually leaving him alone after he went too far, or was too mean to them
Love everything you post so much, feel free to deny, remember to eat and drink water!
Thank you so so much! I'm happy i could make you happy! 🖤🖤🖤🖤

Sweet ‘n Sour | Yandere Byakuya Togami
It’s honestly an honor
That youre transmigrated into an anime/game
Too bad it’s the killing game of Danganronpa
And of course, with you thrown in the middle things are really unpredictable
So you’ll comfort yourself in being as kind to these characters as you possibly can
Especially Byakuya
A fan favorite and an intriguing ally throughout the game
Of course, you just gravitate toward him
Even though he sneers and insults you
Sometimes threatens
But you don’t mind…
Even though….
Those comments are beginning to hurt
It’s one thing to love a meaner character through the screen but in person, it’s pretty hard
despite your inclination to maintain your usual smile and gentle actions
After a while, you just stop trying
Too bad some may consider that your biggest mistake:
“Honestly I was hoping you’d turn up as one of the corpses during this farce; it probably would have made it even more interesting.”
That was it.
That was the last straw for you. Toko could have all his time and attention for all you care. The sheer fact you’ve put up with this for so long disgusts you. To hear your own life be spat on by the guy you’d been trying to extend a helping hand to–it was despicable. (Of him or of you, you couldn’t decide.)
“Ah, I see. Have a good night then.”
That was the last time you went out of your way to speak to him; immediately changing your schedule to accompany someone else. Since you’d been away with Byakuya you almost forgot how kind the rest of the group was.
“(Y/n) I’m so happy you’re willing to hang out now! Let’s make donuts together!”
“After that I hope you’ll indulge me and Naegi in a puzzle of sorts.”
“I-if it’s alright with you..”
It was refreshing.
To be told you were actually wanted around was somehow so fulfilling.
What terrible company you’ve been keeping.
“I’d love to!” Within a matter of days you are feeling the warmth of friendly interactions; whereas the man you’re avoiding is having a….less than stellar reaction.
Crash!
Toko was excited that her Byakuya-sama had finally chased you. A rival weak enough to be effected by words wasn’t much of a rival at all! But upon your absence in only a few hours into his daily routine Byakuya had made an intense realization.
That he desperately desired your attention on him.
He didn’t have to actually see you skirting your routine with him to know he hated the thought of you spending any amount of time with his classmates rivals. It literally made his skin itch and his throat close up with every minute away from you. Naturally he doesn’t care that even Toko is unnerved by the tantrum he throws. Books are strewn about, the shelves dangerously leaning against one another. All of it just an emphasis of the palpable malice emanating off of Byakuya. In the middle of the ruins he just stands still.
Alarmingly still.
Like a predator looking out.
Are they hunting? Scoping? Contemplating the ways to torture their enemies?
No one really knows.
Even when he pulls at his hair and belts out in an uncouth laughing fit. In an instant he stops demanding Monokuma show himself this instant. He needed to find you. Now. He’ll make it a point to inform the headmaster of his own teaching.
Because apparently you–being the kind and gentle soul you are should be able to withstand all kinds of people. Especially him. Always him. So he’ll offer his own guidance by keeping you within arms reach at all times.
He expects you to persist against anything he can throw at you.
How else are you going to rule the world as a Togami?

Okok recent yandere venture post has me thinking
What if reader managed to run away without Sloan catching them? They get out, and they’re home free. They can finally live freely without the suffocating love of Venture. But then they miss their cute little yandere and end up going back, tripping over themselves to apologize for leaving
Okay I got a little carried away, don’t mind me.
(I love your writing by the way!!)

Finally!
After months of planning, gathering, hiding, and doing practically anything possible to try escape Venture. Or as they preferred you call them, Sloane. But now you’ve managed to ditch them, rushing down the empty streets. You weren’t sure if it was lucky or not, encountering no one on any street.
Soon enough you reached your home, only to remember one important detail. You needed your keys, and luckily, Venture wasn’t the best at hiding your belongings. Searching through all your pockets for less than a minute until you found the keyring. Able to get back inside without any more hassels.
Somehow you fell back into your old routine, which became old and boring very quickly. Again. As the months passed, every thought always drifted back to one thing, or rather one person. Sloane.
Groaning as you shook your head, you should not be thinking about them. Not how they kidnapped you, how they spoke so highly of you, how they spent all this time and effort for you to be comfortable in their own home. And in the end, you just… left.
“Fuck!”
Stop thinking about them. Stop thinking about how they’re probably so lonely at home, knowing them, they’ll be crying while turning over everything in case you're still there. Quietly begging for that to be the case, but you knew better.
But did you really?
Life felt perfect with them, except for the whole kidnapping thing. But everything else? It wasn’t something you’d ever accomplish out here, not in such a forgiving world. Unlike in their arms, how they’re warm, comforting and will hold you until you both say so.
Maybe life wasn’t so bad there.
***
Within Sloane’s crys and throwing everything around, they nearly missed the knocking. Nearly. Pausing their movements, waiting for a second knock to know someone was really there. And it happened right after, rushed, as if the person was desperate.
Not bothering to clean up at all before throwing the door open, and being greeted to their wish come true. There you stood, eyes red and cheeks puffy from crying. Even as you tried to wipe away any oncoming tears.
Mumbling apologizes under your breath, all were uneven and wavering but they heard you. But they didn’t care, you returned home! Right back to them, to your partner, your home.
Launching themselves towards you, cradling you in their arms as they swayed side to side. You could hear the muffled sound of them sniffing your hair, but you couldn’t care less right now.
Because you were home.

Bucky's heroic story of helping Toby's grandmother and bringing her to the hospital with his red Ferrari became the talk of the town.
The next day, he went to the fresh market with Y/N's parents to buy fruits and flowers.
He was planning to revisit Toby’s grandmother. He didn’t know why, but he felt a sense of melancholy toward elders, especially since his own grandparents had passed away before he was born.
As Bucky looked at the oranges, the locals greeted him warmly, especially the elders.
One grandfather said, “Thank you for helping Toby's grandma, young man. Here's some fresh corn and potatoes for you.”
Bucky smiled warmly and replied, “Oh, yes, we should help each other.”
Another grandmother approached him and said, “Are you the Barnes kid who helped my friend? Here's an orange for you.”
The kind old lady handed him baskets of oranges, her eyes twinkling with gratitude.
Then he felt someone tap his shoulder. He felt like a big shadow towering over him. It was Thor.
Thor exclaimed, "Buddy, you were a great help yesterday. Here, I'll give you my biggest catch today."
Bucky widened his eyes in surprise. "Oh no, it's alright. Urghh."
This was the first time in Bucky's life that he carried a heavy fish.
With each step he took, someone would greet him and give him something. He had never experienced this sense of community back in the city, and he appreciated how supportive the locals were of each other.
Samanta chuckled upon seeing Bucky looking clueless. “You've become the local celebrity.”
Bucky blinked in surprise. “Really?”
“Yup. Oh, my daughter just called. Some people are at your farm.”
“That's right. I have to go back.” Bucky clapped his hands excitedly. He suspected that what he requested from his dad had arrived.
He stepped on the gas and drove fast to his place. When he arrived, he saw a few teenagers and kids standing near his house.
Y/N was also there, looking a bit overwhelmed as she guarded the youngsters from entering the house.
The truck stopped, and Bucky got out of the car.
He greeted Y/N with a smile. "What's up?"
Y/N sighed in relief. "They want to see your car, but I thought they needed your permission first."
The group of youngsters looked at Bucky with puppy eyes. In a second, he remembered being a young kid, also interested in sports cars when his dad brought him to the F1 race car. The experience was amazing, and it made him fall in love with fast cars.
As a fellow car lover, Bucky welcomed them. "It's alright. Do you want to see what it looks like inside?"
"Yeah!!" The youngsters cheered in excitement.
Bucky showed them his Ferrari car and enthusiastically explained the engine and the machinery.
Y/N observed Bucky, who looked genuinely excited. She remarked, “You've become the celebrity.”
Bucky chuckled, unable to contain his enthusiasm. “I can't help it.”
“By the way,” Y/N continued, “your father sent a pick-up truck. I didn't know you needed another one.”
Bucky's eyes lit up. “It's here? Yes! And it's not for me.”
“Then for who?” Y/N inquired, curiosity piqued.
🏥
At the hospital, Toby was speechless when he saw the pick-up truck. It looked brand new and far superior to the old truck they had to sell to pay his father's debt.
He walked around the truck, inspecting it from front to back, then turned to Bucky and enveloped him in a grateful hug. “Thank you, bro,” he said earnestly.
Bucky returned the hug with a smile. “You're welcome, buddy.”
After Toby rushed back to the hospital to share the news with his grandfather, Y/N approached Bucky. “That was really nice of you,” she remarked.
Bucky nodded, a sense of fulfillment washing over him. “I realized how important a car is for Toby. He needs it to drive his grandma and carry boxes of honey.”
With the means to help, Bucky felt compelled to use it.
Y/N smiled warmly. Witnessing Bucky's generosity and compassion, she couldn't help but admire him even more.
Bucky's generous gift quickly spread throughout the town, making him the hottest topic of discussion. Suddenly, he found himself at the center of attention, not for his wealth or status, but for his kindness and willingness to help others.
The children in the town looked up to him as a cool role model, inspired by his actions to make a positive difference in the community.
With Toby's grandmother gradually improving, and Toby himself working diligently to sell honey at markets and to local households, the spirit of gratitude and determination seemed to infuse the air.
Despite initially finding farming challenging, Bucky began feeling accepted and belonging in his new life.
Though he still encountered difficulties, he realized that the rewards of helping others and being part of a close-knit community far outweighed any hardships he faced.
****** His story has also spread widely on social media. However, it wasn't Bucky who initiated it.
Bucky hadn't opened his social media for a while since he was already busy with farming.
But who did? Of course, it was Kate. She inserted herself into Bucky's story as if she were a part of the effort to help him.
During her live session, she recounted the events with a touch of theatricality, emphasizing her own role in the act of kindness.
"And that's when Bucky and I sprang into action," she exclaimed dramatically, her eyes sparkling with manufactured emotion. "Together, we rushed Toby's grandmother to the hospital, our hearts filled with determination to make a difference!"
Her viewers were quick to shower her with praise, captivated by her portrayal of a compassionate and selfless individual.
"You're such an inspiration, Kate!"
"Wow, I had no idea you were so involved in charity work. You're amazing!"
"Thank you for using your platform to spread awareness and help those in need. You're truly making a difference!"
With each compliment, Kate's smile widened, basking in her audience's admiration as she skillfully crafted her image as a philanthropic icon.
She kept smiling as she scrolled through the comments until she noticed someone mentioning "What about Y/N?"
Kate's smile faltered, and she let out a sigh.
"What's wrong?" inquired one of her viewers.
Kate sighed again. "Well, we only know what people choose to show us on the outside, not what's really going on behind the scenes."
The viewers were intrigued. "Is this about Y/N?"
Kate hesitated, then replied cryptically, "I don't want to name names, but let's just say there's someone who's been quite influential in Bucky's life, and it's had some unfortunate consequences for my brother."
"Your brother, the celebrity chef Paul?" another viewer asked.
"He can't cook anymore because of a car accident, right?"
The comments continued to pour in, each one adding to the speculation. It was precisely what Kate wanted. She leaned back in her chair, a satisfied smirk playing at the corners of her lips as she watched her fans dissect the situation for her.
Glancing down at her ruined shoes, a reminder of her unexpected encounter with the mud earlier, Kate clicked her tongue in annoyance. "Never underestimate me," she murmured to herself, a hint of determination in her voice.
🏎️
Bucky, who had been feeling clueless, had just finished cleaning up the sheep's stable. He made his way back to his house to freshen up.
Archie, the puppy, had eagerly awaited his return, wagging his tail excitedly. "Woof."
"Hey, buddy, I missed you too," Bucky greeted, bending down to pet the eager pup.
Once inside, Bucky headed straight to the sink to wash his hands, feeling the grime of farm work clinging to his skin. As he scrubbed, he couldn't help but notice his phone incessantly buzzing with notifications.
"What's going on?" Bucky wondered aloud, setting down the soap to check his phone. He was met with a flood of messages and tags from various people. Among them was a tag that caught his attention: #Y/N and Paul.
Curious, he clicked on it, and his screen filled with photos of Y/N dressed in a chef's outfit, standing beside none other than Paul, the celebrity chef who also happened to be Kate's brother.
Bucky's heart sank as he read the accompanying captions and watched a reel detailing Paul's accident, along with rumors suggesting that it wasn't him driving the sports car, but rather a woman whose name was still unknown.
His thoughts racing, Bucky was startled when he heard a familiar voice behind him. "Here's the dinner."
He nearly jumped out of his skin, turning to find Y/N standing there, a concerned expression on her face as she looked at him. "What's wrong?" she asked, noticing his troubled demeanor.

The One With Mother’s Day
Eddie trips out of his room, rubbing at his eyes, to answer the door. Someone choosing nine in the morning on a Sunday to knock very loudly on their front door.
“Yeah,” he says blearily as the door swings open.
“Eddie, it’s so nice to see you again.” Karen Wheeler says from the other side of the door. “I remember Nancy saying that you moved in with her about a year ago.”
Eddie tries to blink the tired away. “Mrs. Wheeler, hello. Sorry, I didn’t know you were coming to visit.” He steps out of the way so she can enter the apartment.
She walks in and stands awkwardly in the walkway between the kitchen and the living room. “Well, I didn’t know I was coming here until this morning. Is Nancy home?”
“You drove all the way from Indiana to here, that’s quite the trip. And yeah, she’s probably up, hold on a second.”
“Well, it’s been forever since I visited Nancy, and I thought since it’s Mother’s Day, I might spend the day with my daughter. My other kids are either too busy with school or too far to drive so suddenly.”
“Yeah, uh huh,” Eddie mutters as he knocks on Nancy’s door. “Hey, Nance, you up?”
“Yeah, what’s up?”
Eddie looks back at Karen with a polite smile. “Could I come in for a second?”
“Sure,” Nancy responds suspiciously.
Eddie quickly opens and shuts the door behind him. “Your mother’s here.”
Nancy sits straighter in the chair by her window. Shutting her book and placing it on the small table beside her. “What. She didn’t tell me she was coming.”
“She apparently didn’t even know she was coming until this morning. It’s at least a five-hour drive from home.”
“She got up at four in the morning just to come visit me. Why?”
Eddie shrugs. “Something about Mother’s Day and her other kids being too busy or something. I don’t know. She looked, ok? Like every other time I’ve seen her. But like, with that crazed fluster she would get when Mike’s friends were over, and your dad refused to get off of that lazy boy he had.”
Nancy rolls her eyes. “This could go one of two ways, and I’m not sure either of them will be good.”
She gets up and heads to the living room. Where her mother still stands, hands rubbing together anxiously. “Nancy, I’m sorry to show up out of the blue, I didn’t want to wake you up in the middle of the night with a phone call.”
“That’s ok,” Nancy says with a partially fake smile, giving her mom a hug. “Eddie said you just drove here this morning, you must have left pretty early.”
Karen shrugs. “Yeah, well, you leave early enough, you miss all of the traffic. And the highways are so nice to drive on when no ones around. But, anyway, how are you doing, it’s been a while since we talked.”
“Pretty good. Just working a lot, trying to be able to write something other than stupid tabloids and junk articles. But mom-.”
Eddie groans in the kitchen, opening the empty coffee container. “I’m going to rob Steve and Robin’s for coffee.”
“Ok,” Nancy replies as he shuts the door.
“Steve and Robin still live across the hall,” Karen smiles. “That’s so nice. Do Jonathan and his college friend still live across the street?”
“Argyle,” she reminds. “And yes, they do. Mom-.”
Karen claps her hands. “Oh, I am starving. Why don’t we go out to breakfast? You know, catch up, my treat.”
“It’s Mother’s Day, shouldn’t it be my treat?” Nancy eyes her mother skeptically. Wondering why she really showed up out of nowhere. Got up in the middle of the night just to have a surprise visit.
“Just spending the day with me would be a treat. Go on, get ready, I’ll just wait out here.”
Nancy nods and returns to her room.
-
When Eddie uses his spare key to go into Steve and Robin’s apartment, he expects them both to be asleep. Robin never gets up before noon if she doesn’t have to, and Steve always has the weekends off, so he should be relaxing. Instead, Steve’s sitting in the kitchen, phone pressed to his ear and fingers pinching his nose, pushing his glasses up to his forehead. He barely notices when Eddie enters the apartment.
“No mom, I haven’t seen her since college.” Steve sounds utterly exhausted. “Because we never really talked then either other than that time you came to visit me. Maybe because I’m happy being single. It’s a perfectly respectable job, and I love it. I didn’t want to work with dad.” He sighs as his mom drones on about something. “I didn’t call for this, I called to wish you a happy Mother’s Day. You know, it’s late where you are so how about I let you go. Love you.”
Steve hangs up the phone, placing it face down on the table and letting his head fall into his hands. He stays like that, frozen.
“That didn’t sound fun,” Eddie breaks the silence. Spooning a serving of coffee into a plastic bag.
Steve huffs out a laugh, fixing the glasses on his face and sitting back on the chair. Crossing his arms and shaking his head, avoiding eye contact. “Oh you know, just normal chats with my mother. She can’t go one conversation without trying to set me up with some rich family’s daughter she knows.”
Eddie winces. “Never a nice rich boy in that mix.”
The glare Steve gives Eddie is tired and chilling. “What do you think?”
“I’m sorry.” Eddie sits across from Steve. “Sounds like it sucks.”
“Yeah, it does.” Steve sighs, looking at his phone. “I love my parents, I really do. But sometimes it’s hard to. Especially when they keep trying to set me up with people I don’t even know or get me to change careers. I just wished they respected me more than they did.”
“They should, you have a job you love and so what if you’re single. That’s a pretty great deal if you ask me.”
Eddie’s phone dings.
Nancy: Me and my mom are going out for breakfast
Eddie: Cool, have fun
Nancy: I will try
“If it makes you feel any better, Nancy’s mom showed up unannounced and now they’re going out to breakfast.”
Steve’s eyes widen. “Like she drove here this morning?” Eddie nods in confirmation. “That’s not good.”
“Yeah, I know. Still don’t know why she’s here.” Eddie’s stomach rumbles. “God, I’m starving.”
“I haven’t eaten yet, you want to go get something? Unless you have somewhere else to be.”
Eddie smiles. “I do not. Let me get changed, I’ll meet you in five.”
-
Nancy thanks their waiter when he brings them their food. Silently piercing the yolk of her egg and watching it run over to her hashbrowns. Karen talking for the both of them.
“Have you talked to your brother recently? Him and Will are settling in well over in New York, their place looks nice. Small, but nice. I’ll have to take a trip out there some time to visit them.”
She just nods along to her mother’s ramblings. Watching as she pauses to take a bite and just continues. Always dodging around the subject of why she’s here whenever Nancy tries to ask.
“It’s so nice that they’re still together after all these years. Not that being alone is anything bad. I miss the single life. Well, I never really had that much of a single life. I met your father in high school and that was that. Part of me wishes I had a few years to explore, like you did. Get to live life before having a family.”
“Yeah,” Nancy interrupts. Coldly. “Why are you here mom?”
Karen looks taken aback. “Is it wrong to visit my daughter?”
“No, it’s not. But you’ve never just drove here on a whim. There was always at least a phone call, booking a hotel stay. Not waking up at four in the morning one night and deciding to drive five hours to come visit me.” Nancy softens her face. “This isn’t like you, what’s going on?”
Karens mouth twitches as she places down her silverware. Fiddling with her napkin. “You know how it was you father’s and my anniversary last week.”
Nancy nods, listening.
“Well, he forgot, again, and I didn’t want to make the plans again this year. I wanted him to surprise me like he did when we were young. With none of the kids in the house anymore, it gets kinda lonely me and him. When I asked that morning, he scrambled to make plans but couldn’t get a reservation anywhere until last night. Where we basically had a silent meal, paid, and left. No surprises, no anything.”
“I’m sorry, mom. I know how dad can be with the romantic stuff.”
Karen sighs. “Any stuff. If it wasn’t me doing everything, nothing would get done. We haven’t even slept in the same bed since Mike went off to college, and that was years ago. I thought maybe we could try and rebuild what we had. Guess I was wrong.”
Nancy frowns. “I didn’t know that.”
“How could you? You never really came home once you graduated, on to bigger and better things. Not that I blame you, I am so proud of you and the life you’ve built here. I just, didn’t want to bore you with the problems in my life. In my marriage.”
“You could have. I would have listened.”
“I appreciate that.” Karens pauses, closing her eyes. “I’ve decided to leave your dad, Nancy. That’s why I came out to visit you.”
Nancy can’t say she’s surprised. “I’m sorry, mom.”
“Don’t be. I haven’t been happy in years, we all knew it was coming. I just don’t know what I’m going to do now.”
“Whatever you want,” Nancy smiles. “You get to do whatever you want. Go back to school, get a shitty part time job. Get back out there and find a man you deserve. Find new friends, anything. You get to build a new life.”
Karen smiles, tears shining her eyes. “Well, that’s all true, I guess. Thank you for not judging me for this.”
“I never would.” Nancy goes back to her breakfast. “So, what else would you like to do while you’re in town. I have tomorrow off too.”
“I don’t know. But I am excited to find out.”

its 4 AM and im trying not to freak out, let me write something to see how I feel
Her eyes opened and closed repeatedly, slowly. The dim light coming from the window let her know that it was daytime, everything felt so fuzzy. What had happened? What time was it? Her arm reached to her side looking for something on her counter. Glasses? Phone? She didn't know for sure yet. Slowly she realized, this was not her room, it was clean, white walls with a brown carpet. She sat by the side of the bed, still not fully awake, feeling the soft carpet on her feet. It then came to her: She needed her glasses, and quickly reached for them again. A yawn overcame her and as her thoughts became clear, she noticed her surrounding. It was a very tidy bedroom, with horse decorations on the counter by the other side of the bed. Figurines and a small pony plushie sat by it. The half open closet door had a coat hanger with skirts and sweaters on it, barely visible coming out of it. She scratched her eyes under her glasses. Another yawn. It had been long since she felt so... Calm? Paying no mind to the apparently unfamiliar bedroom, she moved her feet around the sides of the bed, looking for any kind of footwear. She felt the rubber of a sole under the bed. Her crocs. Quickly she put it on with only her foot, while the other moved around looking for the pair. Another object touched her foot, a soft one, a slipper. Slightly bothered but too lazy to find each pair, she finally got up, opening the bedroom door. The morning sunlight blinding her for a second before her eyes adjusted to it. She could hear a faint noise not tol far away, the sound of someone talking, and the smell of food being prepared. Following it, she found the kitchen. The smell of grease from the fried eggs with bacon got to her nose and made her realize how hungry she was.
"Uh... Hello?" She muttered with a grumbly morning voice. Her head was still not wrapped around everything. It felt so comforable yet so alien. As if she had travelled to a different culture and was kindly taken in by some nice hosts.
"Oh did I wake you up? I'm so sorry, I shouldn't leave my phone so loud..." A woman in her 30s took notice of her. She was making breakfast while listening to the morning news on her phone, quickly grabbing it and turning off the livestream it was tuned to.
"Don't worry..." She muttered in response. She tried to take a closer look at the woman. She had curly reddish brown hair, small lips and a round nose. Her face was filled with freckles that were clearly visible despite her tan skin. What took some time to notice, though, was everything about her eyes. At first she thought she was seeing things, but upon looking more and more she could confirm. One eye blue, the other brown, both very bright. Even with her tired face one could see genuine happiness in them.
"Am I... Dreaming?"
"Aaw, you're still a little sleep groggy! Come here" The woman with bright eyes pulled a chair, inviting the other to sit down. As she did, the woman put a plate and silverware in front of her, with fried eggs and bacon.
"I think I don't usually have breakfast, but... Thank you" She tried to smile, but she was still confused. She had to ask.
"Is this really not a dream? I'm... not sure what to think"
"Oh, well... I can't say I do either, honestly" The woman responded. "If you don't like it I can make something else! I can go out and buy..." The woman suddenly appeared to be getting nervous.
"No, this is good, but... Where am I? I remember the circus..." Suddenly the woman held her hand.
"The circus is gone Pomni... I mean, Pam. Everything is fine now" It was all clear now. Pam. Pamela! She had escaped that horrible nightmare. This wasn't just some woman, it was her wife. Tears came to her eyes.
"Oh... You're right..." Pamela smiled a bit, feeling whole while taking one of the bacons to eat.
"I know it's our first day out of the hospital, I just wanted to make it special, you know? I don't like thinking you're having a bad first experience..." Annie tapped her fingertips on the table nervously.
"Rag... Annie... This is delicious, did you know that?" Pamela had a bigger smile on her face, a genuine one she couldn't have afforded for years.
"Look... I'm sorry, this is all so new to me... I just... Thank you..."
"Hey, it's all cause I love you!" Annie winked and did finger guns at Pamela's direction, waving them around in a "get it?" motion. Pamela giggled. They kissed.
"I've been wanting to do that for so long..." Pamela muttered close to Annie's lips, as they both smiled looking at each other passionately.
"We'll be doing that a lot, new stuff" Annie smiled as they kissed once more. Suddenly, Annie's phone vibrated on the kitchen counter, getting both of their attention. Annie picked it up, looking at the screen, a familiar number
"It's work stuff" She showed the phone screen to Pam, rolling her eyes, to which she giggled a bit.
"Hello?"
As Annie talked on the phone, her usual look of happiness faded. Whatever she heard shook her. She fell sitting on the floor, sliding down the side of the counter. Pamela jumped in to aid her wife.
"W-What happened?! What did they say?!" She questioned, anxious and scared. Maybe she did not want to hear the answer.
"A new adventure is about to begin! And what circus is complete without it's performers?!"
"w-what?"
"It's time to come back, Pomni! Your time out is on time out!!!"
Pamela looked behind her. No kitchen. No house. Just the monstrous, gigantic dentures and millions of eyes everywhere, looking at her. The mere sight of it was enough to make her dizzy. Looking closer, she realized she stood atop a giant pole, ready to jump into a tiny pool.
"Caine... What the..." As words couldn't leave her throat. Where was Annie? Pomni spun around trying to find her, only to lose her balance and fall.
She couldn't scream, for her lungs were filled with tears, and with a gurgling noise, she hit the floor next to her couch. A dream. There was no daylight. She remembered this place. Her run down apartment. All she could afford. Her clothes scattered on the bed, waiting to be folded. Paper bags from groceries she forgot to take out close to a full trash can. The living room illuminated by her phone, which she was watching videos on before falling asleep.
She was breathing heavily, her eyes jolting around, looking for danger anywhere, but still she was unable to move or turn around. Just shaking and moving her eyeballs. She bit her nails and scratched her cheeks. It was like second nature to her. She felt like crying, but was too scared to let her guard down.
That is, until she felt a hand touching her hair. It was clumsy, but still soft.
"Hmrr... Are you ok, Pam...?" A sleepy voice grumbled. Annie's voice, much to Pamela's surprise. As it slowly came back to her.
"I... Had a nightmare... About the circus again..." She said with teary eyes. Annie grumbled something she couldn't make out, before slowly pulling Pamela back to the couch, closer to her. She could feel Annie's soft skin and soothing smell. Her soft carressing on her hair. The safety and warmth of her embrace. Slowly but surely, she felt home.
