the taste of home
☆ tags: harvey & gn!reader, harvey tells everyone to eat home-cooked meals because they're better for you (dialogue line), you find out that he mostly eats microwave meals, gift-giving is this farmer's love language, can be read ROMANTICALLY ☆
Maru startles when you enter the clinic, her galaxy-themed pen pausing over a stack of paperwork. Once she realizes that it's just you, her shoulders drop, a half-smile blossoming on her lips.
"Scared me," she says with a huff of a laugh. She closes the manila folder and tucks it away, the motion smooth with practiced efficiency. "I thought I forgot about an appointment or something."
"That's nonsense, Mar. Nothing could ever get past you. I swear you eat organizational tabs for breakfast," you say, waving off her concern. Leaning over the counter, you drop your chin into a palm. "Is the doctor in?"
Her amused expression turns into an eye roll, and she jabs a thumb over her shoulder. "In the private examination room, I think, but make sure you knock first. Last I saw, he was cleaning out the cabinet, and I really don't want to help clean up another jump scare."
"I do it because it's fun to tease him, not to make your job harder," you insist. Opening up your bag, you rummage around for a few seconds before pulling out a glass jar. "But just as an apology for what happened last week, I brought you this. My best strawberry preserves for the best nurse in Pelican Town."
"I'm the only nurse in Pelican Town," she retorts, but still, she hums appreciatively as she takes it, fingers dancing over her name on the lid. You already know that she and Demetrius buy half of your stock at Pierre's, even if she says that they share with the entire family. "While you're back there, can you tell Dr. Harvey that I'm clocking out in fifteen minutes? We were supposed to discuss a patient today, but I think he forgot. I'll finish up here and touch base with him tomorrow."
"Yes, ma'am."
You send her a two-fingered salute that she vaguely returns. Then you disappear into the corridor that melts into the clinic's main hallway. Other than the waiting room you were in, the hallway leads to four other places: the patient room, which holds privacy curtains, two soft beds, and a firm bed that you've grown to dislike after all your Skull Cavern emergency surgeries; the stairway up to Harvey's apartment, blocked by two metal doors; the back of the reception desk; and a private examination room, which doubles as Harvey's office.
Harvey's in there now, back to the door, hands on his hips as he surveys the mess by his feet. His green blazer is flung over the exam bed, and he has his sleeves rolled to his elbows. An end of the day vibe, for sure. You look over your shoulder and see Maru staring at you, pretending to rapt her knuckles on her desk. Fine, you mouth, a smile tugging at the corner of your lips. Satisfied, she turns back to her work.
"Knock, knock," you sing at Harvey's door. Despite your announcement, he jumps, hand over his heart as he whirls around. His brown eyes are wide behind his glasses.
"Farmer," he sighs. "You scared me."
"Not the first time I heard that today," you laugh, striding into the room. Behind you, you hear Maru's door click closed. "Your lovely nurse said that she's clocking out soon, by the way. Fifteen minutes."
He glances at his watch. "Oh dear, is it already that time? I guess I got distracted by all the supplies." He drags a hand down his face. "I ordered a new shipment of bandage wrap yesterday, only to find a brand new box in the back. Apparently I did this last time, too. I need to spend my next free day taking inventory."
"I'll just make a few more trips to Skull Cavern and use those right up," you say, but when his glare snaps to your face, you hold up your hands placatingly. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Do you need any help right now?"
He pauses, surveying the stacked boxes, but finally sighs a soft No. "I'll just leave things like this so that I remember tomorrow. Why don't you head upstairs and get settled first? I think the coffee machine is about ready to go."
Now it's your turn to shoot him a look. "How many cups have you had today?"
He flushes. "O-only one this morning! Please don't say anything. Can you just set up the table upstairs?"
You tsk, pretending to be disappointed, if only to get back at him for always giving unsolicited health advice. But he's been helping you a lot lately, so you guess you can cut him a break.
As always, the smell of coffee lingers in the air, growing stronger as you trudge up the stairs. When you first befriended him, it was the only thing you knew he liked. He made sure to always have a tumbler in hand as he walked to the river in the afternoons, and you took note of it. Twice a week, you dropped by to give him a warm cup, which he always took appreciatively, but Maru was quick to tell you what else Harvey liked. You don't want to encourage him, she said mysteriously.
You started giving him more pickles after that.
His room is bathed in orange as the sun sets, light catching on the airplane models scattered across his dining table. They look untouched, frozen in the same positions as last week. Not much to set up, then. You flick on the overhead light and make your way to the kitchen.
Though it’s more of a break room than a kitchen, now that you think about it. You’ve only been over here once or twice. Between the microwave and coffee machine, there’s barely any counter space left, and you wonder how he ever gets any cooking done without a stove. He told you once that he mostly eats food from the Stardrop Saloon, but…your eyes narrow. What about all his lectures about home-cooked meals?
You move around clumsily, unsure of where everything is. Eventually, you find two mugs in the overhead cabinet, coffee packets in the drawer, sugar cubes in a cute little jar you gifted him the other month. The machine whirs and dribbles fresh coffee into the waiting mugs. Just as they top off, you hear footsteps on the stairs.
“Hey, Harvey?” you call out. “Do you have any milk or cream?”
“I have vanilla creamer in the fridge, second shelf,” he replies, but then you hear a sharp intake. “Wait, I’ll get it—”
Too late. You’ve already opened his fridge. The bottle of creamer is there—you pull it out and set it on the counter—but it’s also the only thing there other than half a head of lettuce.
“What the hell?” You scan the empty shelves. “Do you need to go grocery shopping? Pierre’s is closed, but Joja’s open late if you need to pick anything up.”
“No need, I’ll go shopping tomorrow,” he says, hurrying over. He squeezes past you, puts a dash of cream in each mug, and pushes the coffee into your hands. “Go and sit down. I’ll put this away.”
“Oookay.” You furrow your brows. What’s going on? “I’m kind of in the mood for iced coffee, though. Can I let my cup cool in the freezer for a bit and add ice to it?”
“Yes.”
A beat of silence.
“Do you mind…opening the freezer so I can put the mug in? My hands are a little full.”
“Right! Um, why don’t I do that and you sit down first?”
“Harv, I’m already holding the mugs. You just have to open the door. What’re you hiding in there, a dead body?”
You laugh; he doesn’t. Your chuckles die out, leaving the both of you to stand there in silence. If the townspeople were to pick your worst quality, it would probably be your stubbornness—a trait that rears its head now as you stand there, watching Harvey’s flush spread down his neck.
Finally, he sputters a resigned Okay and opens his freezer.
Behind his ice trays are stacks of Joja Mart frozen meals, everything ranging from meatloaf to fries to pizza to peas to chicken parmesan. He shifts a bag of carrots to make room for your coffee. When the door is closed again, you finally find your words.
“So…I guess I found your secret,” you say, making your way to the table and setting down his cup.
“I just don’t have time to cook for myself,” he insists, trailing behind you, “and when I do have free time, I’m too tired.”
“I’m not judging.” You shrug. “I mean, I’m not one to talk. I eat algae from the river and cookies from the trash.”
His face drains. “Wait, you eat what from the—”
“If you’re ever free, though, you can always join me on the farm for dinner. Or I can drop you off some lunch once in a while. I make big portions and freeze them for the week, and I don’t mind sharing.” You wave a hand at the airplane models in front of you. “Think of it as thank you for helping me out with these.”
“That’s…very kind of you, Farmer,” he says after a pause. His fingers curl around the back of a chair. “I might take your offer some time.”
You shoot him a smile. “Great. Now keep that gratitude in mind as we start working on these again.”

DROPS IN COVERED WITH SNOW
Good evening, morning or afternoon ladies and gentlemen! I am your host! !̷̢̢̦̲̱̬͓̘̖̩̦͓̭̤͈̯̬̗̩̺̩̑̾͒͊̊͌̒̍̚̕͝͝ͅ?̸̧̢̡͖̰͎̦̱̣̪̪̗͔̘͙̜̼̿͆̇ͅ! Today we have Duncan Young! as for the other requests that are insanely overdue! you have my apologies!
requested by:
Tumblr media
here he is:
Tumblr media
let’s get to him!
- he gets almost no sleep. he is severely sleep deprived and he has no intention of getting more sleep in future
- bisexual
- he genuinely cares for Amy, and he really wants her to be safe. he really does care for his sister.
- he hates his mom a lot. he never wants to see her again. after he went to jail, he was happy because it meant he didn’t need to see his mom again.
- really rough and dry hands. he uses a lot of hand cream, but it doesn’t really help.
- Duncan got some counselling in jail to help him become better mentally. he really appreciated it, and he opened up a lot regarding Miriam
- he hates himself. he’s constantly thinking back to if he was just more careful, if he was more cautious, then he wouldn’t have become wheelchair bound in the first place
- when he first tried learning to walk again, he fell down so many times he had bruises all over himself.
- he’s really scared of dying. he doesn’t know what’s going to happen, and he doesn’t like thinking about it either.
- he likes strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries very very much.
- he likes doing sudoku puzzles, word puzzles and crossword puzzles in his free time. he thinks it’s a good way to pass the time, and he has a ton of fun doing them.
- he’s super damn good at chess. he plays with Amy sometimes, and she always loses to him.
- he can eat spicy food but he doesn’t like spicy food so he won’t eat it.
- he wears socks to sleep. he thinks it’s comfortable and he has a little sock collection too.
- he usually wears boots. he thinks it’s more convenient and suitable, since he mainly lives in white peaks.
- after Virginia died, he felt pretty angry at himself for no protecting his childhood friend, and he ended up punching a wall to try to feel better about himself. but he only bruised his knuckles and caused some bleeding.
- he likes cats. he thinks they are lovely and he had a pet cat. it would sit on his lap and purr while he pet it.
- one of the reasons he dislikes hus mom so much is the way she constantly reminded him of his job as a police officer. he hates remembering it because it reminds him how helpless he has become. with Miriam constantly reminding him, he was never able to full move on. he still thinks of his past
- He ate dirt as a kid. he didn’t know why but he liked eating dirt. Amy had to make him cough out a lot of dirt because he ate a lot-
- If you were in a relationship with him, he would ask if you would still love him as an earthworm. He would go up to you and ask: Y/N, will you still love me if I was an earthworm?
- He has a teddy bear, and he secretly sleeps with it every night. the teddy best gives him a lot of comfort. Amy ends up taking the teddy bear, and sending photos of the teddy bear to Duncan a lot. the photos include the teddy bear wearing silly clothing, in a party hat, at a party…
- He talks to Amy every now and then. she always finds an excuse to talk to him and to check in on him. he admits to himself that he likes how Amy visits him, and he does miss her to an extent. (both siblings partly resent each other, but they are trying to move past that)
okay that is it. see you. goodnight

i really enjoy your headcanons! Can you pleeeaaassee do it for my baby boy Alex :,) i love the ones with Alex. Love youu!!!
Thank you, I'm really glad you like them! Here are some more of my thoughts about Alex :)
---
General Alex Keller headcanons (Pt.1)
Tumblr media
Warnings: slight mentions of canon typical violence
A/N: there are so many mentions of food in this?? I'm sorry, I just have some very specific thoughts about him lol
• I'm a firm believer this man runs hot like a furnace no matter the season. In the summer he should be suffering, but somehow he's used to the heat
• Dog person. When people say dogs look like their owners they are talking about him. He probably owns a beige labrador or a golden retriever
• He's good with most animals, but bigger ones like cows or horses kinda intimidate him. Only at first though, when he gets to spend some time with them he really enjoys their presence
• The only animals he really dislikes are birds. No specific reason, he just does
• He's somewhat an artistic soul; he likes to write song lyrics (although he can't really sing), design new tattoos for himself, try to scribble poems
• Alex loves specifically the pink cotton candy. As a kid he used to eat them often and they are still a comfort food of his
• Despite that, he likes salty and savory things over sweets
• An exception is vanilla pudding because he could eat it for the rest of his life. His second favorite is the caramel flavour
• He also looks like the average honey-mustard chicken enjoyer. With pasta. You know what, I think he LOVES any kinds of pasta
• He's also a fruit lover, his favorites are tangerines and strawberries. He totally eats his apple slices with peanut butter too
• Loves pizza even when he knows it's stereotypical. His mother used to make really good home made ones when he was younger and he never really grew out of the "I can eat a whole pizza in one sitting" phase
• Also, when he's drunk he always craves pizza, no matter where they are or how much he had to drink
• Speaking of, he can hold his tequila but weak to beer. Shots do almost nothing to him, but a few beers and he's down
• When he's drunk and gets together with Gaz and/or Soap, everyone is going to suffer from their volume and pranks. The amount of bullshit that can come out of their mouths those times is honestly impressive
• Still, he's king of respecting women tbh. If there is someone who's going to be polite and won't cross any boundaries even when in a pub shitfaced, it's him
• Alex is one of the worst when it comes to gossip because he wants to know all the tea. It's hilarious when he tells something he just heard to Farah and she already knows
• He's naturally easy-going and laidback, most know him for his friendliness as a close second to his abilities
• He's really good with kids. Alex is like the fun cousin you only meet at family gatherings, but those times he teaches you some tricks and tells the best stories you will forever remember
• He has one specific sniper rifle that he has gotten from his father at a young age. It can't usually be with him on missions because he has an assigned weapon, but when he can he takes the chance to use it on the field
• His favourite colors are green and red
• Most of his tattoos don't hold any deep meaning, only a few represent something/remind him of something/someone
• The codename Echo 3-1 is really close to his heart for some reason, if he could he'd keep it forever
• He's not a big fan of coffee, but still drinks it for the caffeine and out of habit
• He has occassional nightmares and night terrors (which soldier doesn't), but they are not as frequent as they used to be when he was younger
• Opposite of what others may believe, his hair takes like 5 minutes to style in the morning. Sometimes he puts some gel on it when it has already started to grow a little longer, but otherwise he just ruffles it and let's it do what it wants
• Some has told him before that he'd be a great leader, but Alex always denied it. He doesn't feel like he's cut out for that kind of responsibility
• He often bickers with Price, but only outside of missions. He's a pro at knowing when to take something seriously or joke about and that makes him really efficient in the field
• Alex often puts others before him, which almost cost him his life a few instances before. He doesn't think it would have been in vain though
• He loves to spend time in the nature, going on hikes, camping or hanging around the beach all day. Doesn't matter as long as he's outside
• As a kid, he tried to play football but hated it
• He used to be really good at math, but somehow as he got older he just gradually became worse
• In school he was the best at geography, communications and for a while math (as mentioned)
• He doesn't per se have a problem with flying, but would much rather travel through cars or other vehicles on the ground. They are much more comfortable, even if he likes being high up (hence his sniper position)
• When he was a kid, he didn't think about joining the army, although his father was a marine. He thought he was going to get a scholarship somewhere with his sport abilities or just land a decent place at a regular university. Turns out life had different plans, but he didn't regret it one bit
• He's totally the type to use emojis like 💀 and🧍🏻‍♀️ or the crying one when he laughs at something
• He's great at household chores and keeping the place running
• Alex can't exactly cook, but he can adjust just a few ingredients in a boxed food mix. It always turns out heavenly and no one can tell he didn't make all of it
• Deals well with horror movies but doesn't really like them
• Okay this last one if really specific and random at the same time, but he 100% eats the little chocolate roll things out of this wafer mix and no one can convince me otherwise

Last book you enjoyed reading: Apart from the Hobbit, which I always enjoy, "Dust" by Patricia Cornwell. Her books really got me into reading more English books, since I picked up "Post Mortem" when I stayed in Australia 16 years ago (yes, I'm old). So, I'vw always loved the Kay Scarpetta Series.
Last book you hated reading: I honestly don't remembers, because all the last books I read either made me laugh or cry because they were so sad (or had sad aspects), but I enjoyed all of them. The last that comes to mind was at University, where I HAD to read certain books and I was just not interested in them (like The Hunger Games).
Favorite thing to cook/bake: I love making Korean Beef Stew, these swet and dsavory puff pastry twisters (Have to make them again soon), Pasta that apparently tastes like from my great grandmother. Cassandra x Maiden ----Anonymity Ch.7
Ch.1 Ch.2 Ch.3 Ch.4 Ch.5 Ch.6
Tumblr media
Cassandra gradually starts taking up more of your time. Or, more accurately, demands it like it’s her birthright.
Every day, you wake her up with a kiss to her shoulder or neck and a whisper of her name. She comes to you when she’s bored at random times during your shifts, to either talk –complain— about her sisters or to outright distract you. There are times at night when you’ll feel the chill of her slip into your bed and press up against your back, but she’s always gone by morning light, like a dream.
She used to be just another component to your nightmares. Now… she’s what takes them away.
And you’re afraid.
That you’re growing to like the time with her while she’s just playing around, that it will cut that much deeper when you find yourself on the end on her sickle. Because how else can it end, you reason, between the two of you?
The thought momentarily makes your liplock with Cassandra taste bitter, despite the sweet strawberry taste of her lip balm -and no way she’s putting that on for you, right?
She has you pressed deep into a plush armchair with her palm on your chest, while her thighs are locked tight on either side of yours. You want to tell her that you should stop –both because you’re literally in the open and anyone can walk in on you and because it’s late—but her lips are doing wicked things to your neck and you can’t find your voice long enough.
When Cassandra starts grinding down on you though, rather impatiently too, you have to speak up before she starts something neither of you can finish.
“Cassandra.” you say breathily. A sharp nip comes over your pulse, then slippery lips close around the area. “Ah! Cassandra. You’ll be late for dinner.”
She tsks and pulls back, expression much like a kid that got her hand slapped away from the cookie jar. She dismounts you with the same sour look, smoothing down her robes.
“Walk me there.” she orders.
You rise and fall into step beside her, trying not to linger on how strange it feels. It should be nothing, really, considering all the activities the two of you nightly indulge in, but it’s… something.
Cassandra, uncharacteristically quiet, keeps gazing out the windows as though calculating or pinpointing something while you make your way to the dining room.
She comes to a sudden halt just before you reach it, turns to you, steals a quick kiss and then quickly leaves you behind, a colder aura about her as she strolls inside.
You hear Lady Dimitrescu’s voice, but not what she says. Once a few minutes have passed and you can safely blend into the background, you join the other maids on standby within.
You used to hate it here. Having them all in front of you like that, serving them wine, when they’re all to blame for taking any semblance of normalcy out of your life. You never glance at what they’re eating. You still dislike dinner time.
But.
When Alcina makes a snide comment about Heisenberg and you hear Cassandra’s laugh above Daniela’s giggle and Bela’s chuckle…
It no longer seems so bad.
-
-
“Bela, stay a moment.” Cassandra says after Lady Dimitrescu leaves with Daniela in tow.
“Oh, no.” The blonde huffs under her hood.
“I didn’t say anything. Yet.” The younger sibling raises her hands in exasperation.
“When you go ‘Bela~’” You bite your lip to keep your expression neutral as you’re cleaning the table because hearing the normally stoic sister mimic Cassandra’s voice like that is just plain gold. “It’s never good.” her tone turns flat once more.
Cassandra very pointedly rolls her pretty eyes. “I need you to cover for me.”
“See?” Bela sighs. “Absolutely not.”
“Well, it wasn’t really a question, I was just trying to give you the illusion of choice.” Cassandra shrugs. “I’m going out tonight.”
“What?” Bela damn near hisses. “Have you lost your mind?”
“It’s fine it’s, like, thirteen degrees.”
“How is that fine?”
The elder sister’s gaze then flits to you. There is no other maid in the vicinity that can overhear them, but she’s clearly uncomfortable with you picking up the implications of their conversation.
You still don’t get it. You guessed their aversion to sunlight has to do with their mutations… but why would the cold be an issue?
The survivor in you wants to know more. To know if this is something that can be used to your advantage when the time and circumstances are right for a potential escape.
Another part of you… just plain worries.
“I know what I’m doing.” Cassandra says, stern.
“Then you’re doing it alone.” Bela turns to leave…
Except.
“Oh, well. Guess mother should know about that little maid you’ve been orbiting around, lately.” Cassandra comments. “The one you even did a favor for? Just imagine her disappointment in you, the shining example of the family, stooping so low.”
Bela’s back goes rod-straight. The piercing look she sends Cassandra sends ice down your spine. You think she’s going to pounce… yet she exhales.
“One. Hour.” Bela states. “If you’re not back in one hour I’m coming to drag your sorry behind to mother. And she—” A gloved finger points directly to you, “Won’t be coming back with you in one piece.”
Wait.
What?
-
-
You didn’t know Cassandra planned to take you with her. But she didn’t deny it when Bela pointed to you. After her sister left, all she said was: ‘Dress well.’
Which brings you to your current position, pacing by the entrance hall of the castle, in a warm coat and two layers of clothes underneath. You turn to look behind when you finally hear her steps descending the staircase.
And— you freeze.
Because Cassandra is not wearing her usual robes. She’s dressed in all black, yes, but the outfit is tight on her form, fitting every curve, hugging her wonderful legs like a second skin. She’s wearing knee-high boots instead of heels and her hooded, gothic overcoat reaches down to mid-thigh.
There’s not a single patch of her skin visible other than her face… and you can’t, for the life of you, explain why it’s that hot.
“You’re staring, plaything.” she chastises, yet doesn’t sound like she minds. Rather, she’s smirking.
“Uh—” you can’t really form words.
“We need to hurry, clock’s ticking.” she says as she jiggles the very key you’ve looked everywhere during work hours for. The key to freedom. To leaving the castle.
Cassandra double-checks her clothes before she opens the door. You file it as useful information for later as you hurry to catch up to her.
The path to the village –or what’s left of it— through the forest is… difficult. Mainly because Cassandra is entirely unbothered by any and all obstacles and moves like she’s on a walkway, leaving you to fight with every rock hidden in the snow.
You manage. Somehow.
Until a distant howl makes you jump and quite literally crash into her side.
Cassandra laughs. It’s a clear, beautiful sound in the dead of night. “My, my. Scared of a Lycan in my presence?”
“I thought it was just a regular wolf!” You whisper, mortified.
Yellow eyes blink at you. Then her gloved hand raises to yours, taking it in a secure grip. You didn’t realize you were shaking, yet the tremors quickly cease when she does that. It’s just your heart that still feels like it’s going to give out on you, but for an entirely different reason, now.
Cassandra safely leads you to the village. It looks more or less the same, except empty, void of life. You don’t linger on memories. You don’t.
“Show me your house.” she says.
You never thought you’d be tracing the steps of your front porch so soon. You only have to push the door for it to open. And the inside is just as you remembered. A quaint little house. It’s simply not… home, anymore.
Nothing is.
Maybe nothing ever was.
And the thought makes a thin, cracked wall inside you finally give. Cassandra is saying something a few paces behind you, but your vision has blurred, your eyes sting and hot, salty rivers roll past your lids.
“Are you listening to me?” she asks. “...Plaything?”
You can’t talk. If you do, you’ll sob and break to pieces on the floor like a pushed glass statue.
Cassandra’s grip is tight and demanding on your elbow when her fingers curl above it, but she turns you with gentleness you’d never think her capable of. You do not meet her eyes.
Her other hand comes up to your neck.
You can’t, you can’t—
“Alexia.”
Your eyes snap to hers when she says it, from the shock. You didn’t think she even knew your name. Cassandra shifts her weight from one leg to the other, then seems to decide on something and wipes the tears beading at your chin away with her thumb.
“Pack what you wish. We don’t have long.”
As you turn into your bedroom and open your wardrobe to pack a few clothes into a bag, just to feel a tad more yourself when you’re in your room in the castle, the sound of your name falling from her lips follows you.
Haunts you.
You have half a mind to get your mp3, phone and chargers before you return to her. Cassandra is holding whatever she wanted to get from the village in a box tucked between her arm and body.
“Come.” she orders. Her hand settles on your elbow again and practically drags you along.
You don’t talk on your way back to the castle.
From one of the many windows overlooking the front yard, you spot Bela’s eyes on the two of you until she retreats into the shadows. Rigidly, Cassandra enters and immediately goes by the large fireplace to warm up. You only then notice how much more fluid her movements get. Or rather, how sluggish she was during the trip.
You shut the door and turn the key and realize it’s much easier to handle your situation when you’re the one locking yourself inside.
You take off your coat and scarf, then make to head for your bedroom —according to your calculations you’ll only get 3 hours of sleep— until… you notice how cold Cassandra looks.
She’s one step away from hugging the flames. And you can still hear her call you by your name in your head.
Great. Another thing to keep me up at night. You think as you approach her.
Slowly, so as to not scare her, you slip your arms around her slim waist from behind. She’s like a block of ice in your embrace, at first. Her body thaws gradually, to the point she’s fully relaxed against you.
“Thank you for today.” the words don’t come easy –they’re like pulling teeth— but you manage to get them out clearly enough.
“You’ll thank me in very many ways, plaything.” she says. “Having your own belongings in the castle is not a privilege any maid gets. But.” her voice, although quiet, hardens the slightest amount. “If, despite my generosity, you harbor dreams of escape… I will turn them to nightmares.”
Your blood goes cold in your veins. You can only nod against her shoulder.
Cassandra turns in your arms to look at you.
“And if you ever try to leave me alone here… I will find you and kill you myself.”

Gramble finally tells his partners what befell him and everybody else on the island.
“Whatcha doin’, Gram?”
The screen door clatters as it shuts behind Boots. It’s a nice summer night, one of the rare ones they got with little humidity, so Gramble had left the main door open, the sound of katydids and crickets drifting through from the outdoors. He looks up from the hand towel in his paws, shoulders hunched guiltily.
There’s a large cardboard box sitting on the floor, full of bits of kitchen décor. Ceramic plates with fruit stenciled on them, prints of vintage ads for bread and desserts, towels with produce embroidered on them. All the kitschy things Boots knew he liked decorating his spaces with, and Gramble spent more time in the kitchen than either her or Piesha, with how much he enjoyed cooking.
“Oh, evenin’ Boots,” he greets her, expression softening into a smile. “You remember we talked about Lizbert and Egg visitin?”
“Yeah…?” She pads over, frowning a little at the bare spots on the walls and shelves. Boots was acquainted with the two from attending expedition reunions with Gramble, and while she made it no mystery that she disliked Lizbert’s invasive style of exploration, it was all in the past. Liz had retired from that life after the whole Snaktooth stunt to become a museum curator. “What’s the matter, they allergic to tackiness?”
Gramble laughs at her affectionate teasing. “No, well… Actually, funny you should say that. Egg’s fine, but Liz has got… I guess you could say she’s got kind of a hang-up over food imagery. And while she’s doin’ well these days, might just make her a lil’ more comfortable to not feel so surrounded, y’know?”
“Yeah, yeah, I get you.” Boots nods, reaching up to take the clock off the wall. It’s a piece of painted wood in the shape of a strawberry. Nollie had made it in an art class. “Place is a little dusty, anyway.”
Together he and Boots work to mostly strip the place of any food-related decoration, leaving only a couple little accents up so the place didn’t seem too bare. Gramble sighs at the empty walls, leaning into Boots’ touch as she places a paw on his shoulder.
She and Pie had always been so understanding when he told them he couldn’t talk about what had happened on the island, but he hated to keep his loved ones in the dark. Not simply for the fact that there might still be danger lurking out there, but that he knew he could trust them, and yet, just telling them what had happened was almost as terrifying as the thought of being back there. The idea that just speaking of it would somehow make it manifest, bring it back into his life when he’d worked so hard to escape it, haunted him, but so did keeping it bottled up inside.
“…I need to tell you both what really happened,” he says quietly. “It’s been long enough. Just, after Liz and Egg are gone. Then we’ll talk about it.”
Boots blinks down at him in surprise. “You sure?”
“I’m sure.”
--
The visit went well. This was the first time Lizbert and Eggabell had seen the new house and the refurbished barn, the first they’d met Cardi and Dember, and Nollie had only been a year old when they’d last come around. They’d caught up, shared stories, enjoyed Gramble’s cooking and chatted about where their lives were going and where they’d been.
After they’d waved goodbye, gotten in Eggabell’s car and driven off to see Wambus and Triffany, after the dishes had been cleared and cleaned and the kids were all in bed, Gramble sat Boots and Piesha down on the porch swing in the back while he took the rocking chair.
“I need to tell you,” he says, fidgeting with his paws where they rested on his chest. “about what happened on Snaktooth.”
“Alright.” Pie nods slowly, leaning into Boots’ cushy side. Boots gives him an encouraging smile, rocking the swing back and forth slightly with her heel.
Gramble swallows, licking his lips. “So… Not all of what I told you was a cover-up. We did run outta food and I did almost starve to death. But… Geez, I dunno where to even start.”
“Why’d you go in the first place?” Boots asks.
“Oh, that I didn’t lie about either. My mama really did up and leave while I was at college. I went cuz… Cuz I guess I felt like I didn’t have anywhere else to go. I saw Liz on TV say she was gatherin’ people up for her team and I just… I wanted somewhere to go that wasn’t home.”
She nods solemnly, gesturing for him to go on.
“Well, Snaktooth… Liz said she found somethin’ there. These creatures she was documenting. D’you… Have either of you ever heard of bugsnax?” Gramble nearly whispers the last word, even though it’s just the three of them out here, just the three of them and the crickets and fireflies, the kids sound asleep.
Piesha tilts her head, thoughtful. “Mm… Maybe a long time ago,” Pie says. “One of those things they got lots of fairy tales about. Critters made of food, right?”
“Right.” Gramble nods. “But they’re real. And please- I know how it sounds,” he stammers, even though neither of them looked skeptical. “But I swear. I saw them, I picked them up and held them, I had a whole barn full of them that Liz and Buddy caught for me. I had names for them, and… and everybody said they were the most delicious things they’d ever eaten. B-but there’s a reason for that. Sorry, lemme go back a bit and explain.
“When we got there, we thought we’d be able to farm. That was Wambus’s thing, but no matter what he tried, the crops would wither, or the bugsnax would get in and destroy them. The only thing he could grow was the sauce that grew on the island, and that wasn’t anywhere near enough to live on. Pretty soon we ran outta food, but that wasn’t a problem for most folks. They’d just eat the bugsnax.”
“And I’m guessin’ you didn’t?” Boots asks.
He shakes his head. “No, I didn’t want to. I already didn’t eat meat, and the snax were always so cute and friendly and I couldn’t bear the thought of hurtin’ them. So I just… didn’t. I tried to live off the sauce, and I ate dandelions and weeds, I ate damn near anything that was edible, but it was never enough.”
“That’s awful, Gram.” Boots says, her brows knitted. “Why didn’t you leave?”
“Well, I… I thought about it,” Gramble wraps his arms around himself. “Even though I didn’t have nowhere to return to, I figured it might be better than starving. But it wasn’t too long after that Lizbert up and disappeared. Her and Egg, there was an earthquake and after that they never came back to town. Some folks thought they died, others thought they ran off, but without her nobody was bringin’ in bugsnax to eat and they started to eat mine, so I ran off with the rest of ‘em and that made everybody mad and I really did start to think there was nobody who cared about me but the snax and Wiggle, and… and even she was eatin’ them too, but I let her cuz I didn’t have nobody else... I was so afraid she’d leave me too that I put up with it.”
He pauses, taking a deep breath. “So, um… I guess a couple weeks after that, Buddy finally showed up. We’d been on the island almost a year at that point. They wanted to interview Liz, figure out what happened, and they managed to get all of us back into town within a week or two. I was really doin’ poorly though.” His claws absently scratch at his belly over the scar that the rake had left, concealed beneath his fur but never fully faded.  “Didn’t care much whether I lived or died. Nothin’ I tried worked, and one of the big snax I asked Buddy for nearly killed me. And then…”
Boots holds Pie’s paw between both of hers, stroking it, both of them patiently waiting for him to gather his racing thoughts. It had been so long since he’d even thought about all this, and much of the events were a haze of hunger and pain, he was amazed he could keep the basic timeline coherent.
“Then, one night… When we were all back in town, Filbo decided he wanted to throw a party. That was when everything… That’s when it all fell apart. There was an active volcano on the island, and it erupted. Eggabell suddenly showed up back in town and told us she knew where Liz was, and she and Buddy and Filbo ran off to get her while the rest of us tried to get to safety. B-but… You remember what I said before, about the bugsnax?” He lifts his gaze to the two of them.
Pie nods at him. “Yeah. They taste good, right?”
“They also…” Gramble holds his paws out, curling his fingers into fists. “They change you. Whenever you eat one, your body parts become it. I know it sounds silly, but everybody was walkin’ around with arms and legs made of strawberries and corn and cinnamon rolls and you kinda just… got used to it. I only ever ate one when I was sleepwalkin’, and I don’t even remember what it was like, but everybody else except Shelda ate ‘em all the time. You get used to it and then you start believin’ that they’re the only thing that can make you feel good anymore. Sorta like drugs, but sorta like… Wiggle used to say they inspired her, and Chandlo thought he could get stronger with them, it was whatever you wanted. I guess even I was fallin’ for it, thinkin’ they could replace my family, and I never even had to eat ‘em.
“But that’s the trick. You get dependent, but you don’t realize that… That they’re parasites. And I’m kinda fuzzy on the details, but according to Buddy, Liz was somehow stuck down in the main… meat of the hive,” Gramble brings his paws together, looking down at his intertwined fingers. “And that’s where she’d been all along, down in the darkness with all those food bugs crawlin’ all over her and into her mouth and… that’s why she’s got such a thing about food.”
“Ah…” He can’t blame Boots for looking a little numb, covering her mouth with her paw as Pie stares blankly at him. It was a lot to take in. “Yeah, I guess that’d do it.”
Gramble goes on. “They attacked us not long after Buddy and the others left, tryin’ to force themselves into our mouths, or kill us, either or. I guess they knew the jig was up, then and there. No comin’ back from that. But we all got away, in the end… And that’s what happened.”
He falls silent. The porch swing creaks slightly as Boots lets it come to a stop, letting the singing of the insects fill the air between them for a long moment.
“S’this place still out there…?” Piesha speaks up softly, glancing out into the darkness as if the snax might be watching from the trees.
“Far as I know,” Gramble says, slipping off the chair to walk over and take one of their paws in each of his. “But you gotta promise me you will never, ever go there.” His expression is grim as he peers up at them. “And you’ll never breathe a word to any of the kids about it, or to anybody else. Nobody should ever step foot on that awful place again.”
“Gram,” Boots squeezes his paw in return, then leans over to scoop him up and pull him into her lap, the swing groaning in complaint as yet another grumpus is piled upon it. “…there’s gotta be somethin’ we can do-”
“No.” Gramble shakes his head, desperation creeping into his voice. “I- I don’t know. Maybe there is somethin’ that someone out there can do, but it can’t be any of us. I don’t want nothin’ to do with it ever again and if word gets out, it’s just gonna be more people goin’ there and that’s exactly what it wants. Please,” he tilts his head up at her, the porch light glimmering in his eyes. “Just leave it alone. It can’t get us here and I want it to stay that way. Promise me.”
When she hesitates, he repeats himself, teeth glinting as his lips peel back. “Promise me, please-”
“I promise.” Boots leans down to kiss him on the nose, wrapping her arm around him as the other draws Pie in closer. “I won’t tell nobody if that’s what you want.”
“That’s all that I want,” he murmurs into her fluffy chest, suddenly very tired despite the mental weight that had lifted. He’d spoken Snaktooth’s name aloud, finally uncorked what he’d kept bottled up for nearly two decades now. He should feel better-prepared, now that they were all on the same page, so why did he still feel like he was only summoning the beast? Perhaps he just needed to sleep, let this new information digest, and they’d face whatever came tomorrow together.
Hundreds of miles away, the island remembers them too.

Strawberry Pancakes and Unicorn Blankets
WORD COUNT: 1211
SUMMARY: Ash Blackbeak is three years old and needier than ever. With Elide only weeks from giving birth again, Manon takes it upon herself to look after their toddler and make sure her wife can relax.
"Mama, Mama, Mama!"
Manon turned, scooping up her daughter as she came bounding into the room. She had been getting ready for the morning, a pair of black, ripped jeans now pulled on and her white lace bra blending into the paleness of her skin as she lifted Ash onto her hip. The toddler was dressed in denim dungarees, a red and white striped top beneath and matching red socks, her chubby thighs on show as they wrapped around her mother. Her brown hair was back in pigtails, white scrunchies matching her shirt. Elide was her personal stylist and she took the job with pride.
"There you are!" Elide appeared in the doorway, her swollen stomach clinging to the tight material of the blue dress she had on as she waddled forward. Ash giggled, hiding in Manon's neck and gripping her platinum strands.
"You're not running away from Mommy are you?" Manon chuckled, tickling Ash's side as she wiggled around on her hip. She was getting far too heavy to be carried, but Manon obliged happily, pressing a kiss to her daughter's hair as she rocked her.
Ash lifted her head, cupping her hands as she whispered into Manon's ear, "She trying feed me fruit! Ashy no want fruit."
Elide sighed, moving to the bed as she rubbed at her stomach, "They're strawberries. For on top of pancakes. You love pancakes, Ash."
Ash shook her head, a gentle frown marking her brows, "Want strawberry sauce, not strawberries."
Manon couldn't help but smile, trying to hide her laugh. Ash was going through that stage where her food likes and dislikes changed extremely rapidly. They'd been eating strawberries and cream for dessert last week and now strawberries were the bane of existence to their stubborn baby girl. "We don't have sauce," started Manon, plopping Ash on the bed beside Elide as she reached for a shirt, "It's strawberries or plain pancakes, I'm afraid."
Ash folded her arms, something she'd copied from Manon and was now using frequently. Giving a huff, she slid from the bed, stomping out the room and to her bedroom across the hall. Elide laid back against the bed, letting her eyes flutter as Manon slipped on a grey band t-shirt. After slipping on some socks and brushing through her hair, she stood in front of her wife, offering her hands to pull her up. "C'mon love, she'll be back down in a minute and begging for pancakes. Meanwhile, how about I cook us some bacon?" she offered, watching as Elide opened a single eye to peer at her.
Raising her hands, she let Manon pull her into a sitting position. She could see how tired she was, and it didn't help that she was running around after a three-year-old while she was due to give birth again in a few weeks. Manon moved to the bed, one arm going around Elide's shoulders and her other hand resting on her bump, "Let me look after you both. You shouldn't be stressing out, remember? Yrene's orders."
Her shoulder's slumped as she lent against Manon, "How can I not be stressed? I love Ash with my whole heart, but I feel like I can never meet her needs. And Tarin is keeping me up all night. I can't even imagine trying to handle them both at once."
"Hey," Manon whispered, pressing a kiss to Elide's temple, "You're an amazing mom. Ash is... Well, she's Ash. She's difficult and grumpy and stubborn, but she's our baby. Trust me, I was even worse as a kid. We can do this, El. I'm going to be here. There's two of us and two of them. It's going to be okay."
Elide wiped at her eyes where tears had begun to pool, giving a little sniff as she nodded, "I love you so much. I really don't know what I'd do without you."
Before Manon could respond, Ash came back into the room, a pout on her lips as she walked over to her parents. "Hi, Mommy," she smiled, taking Elide's hand with a small smile.
"Hi, Ashy. You okay, baby?" Elide asked, sitting up properly and leaning away from Manon's warmth. Manon dropped her hand from her shoulders, rubbing circles on her back instead and keeping her hand on the round bump where their unborn daughter lived.
Ash nodded, pigtails bobbing as her eyes looked pleadingly up at her mother, "Can I have my pancakes now?"
Manon could hear the clear exhaustion in her wife's laugh as she went to stand, "Of course you can. Let me just—"
"No," Manon stood, holding a hand out for Elide to stay, "Mommy's not feeling very well, Ashy. Is it okay if Mama does them so Mommy can stay in bed and relax?"
Ash dropped Elide's hand, looking at her curiously before nodding and lifting her arms for Manon to pick her up. Manon lifted her happily, resting her on her hip again and pressing a kiss to her cheek, "We can get you your pancakes, Mama will make her and Mommy some breakfast and then we can all have some cuddles and watch a movie. How does that sound?"
Ash nodded with a grin, "And I get my unicorn blankey?"
"Why don't you go get it now and Mommy can put it on the bed ready?" Elide suggested, leant back on both hands as she watched. Before Manon even had chance to turn to her daughter, Ash was tapping her arm, begging to be put down. As soon as her feet met the floor, Ash was speeding off, her pigtails flying behind her as she disappeared.
Manon turned to Elide, a small smirk on her lips, "You didn't have to do that, you know."
She slid her hands into her back pockets, "I think I'm capable of making some breakfast. Besides, you deserve a day off, baby. Now, why don't you get into some comfy clothes while I take care of our little monster."
Chuckling, Elide stood, pushing a kiss to Manon's lips as she slipped a hand against her stomach, following the round curve of their baby. When she pulled away, Elide cupped her hand over Manon's. "Not long now," Manon whispered, resting her forehead against her wife's.
Elide's lips brushed hers again before pulling away completely, "Don't remind me."
Seconds later, Ash came rushing in, blanket in hand, "Here you go, Mommy!"
Reaching out, Elide took the blanket with a smile, hiding the clear pain in her back that Manon noticed as soon as she let out a small gasp, both hands immediately going to her back. "Thanks, bubba," she smiled, watching Ash's face light up as she wrapped it around her shoulders.
"Alright, princess," started Manon, walking toward the doorway, "Why don't we go get some breakfast so Mommy can get changed, okay?"
"Okay! C'mon, Mama," Ash grabbed Manon's hand, dragging her toward the hall. Manon waved goodbye to her wife, savouring Elide's laugh as she was pulled out of sight by their toddler. She loved her little family, her warrior princesses who made her world so incredibly bright. There were hard days, and there were going to be even harder days once Tarin was here. But, in the end, it was worth it.

Facts & Trivia || Mikoto Suoh
The following is part of a series of posts made by me. The information listed is official canon provided by GoRa. Sources will go from the anime, to mangas and novels as well as official short stories. These are NOT fanmade headcanons. The purpose of these posts is to provide useful information for fans as well as roleplayers looking for confirmed lore for their muses. Please do not reply to argue with me about what you read here. I did not come up with this stuff myself. GoRa did. I’ll come back to edit these as I find more info.
Tumblr media
Born on August 13, 1988 (The same year as Reisi Munakata and Nagare Hisui).
He goes by the philosophy of life of “Do what you want.”
Became Red King in 2007 at the age of 19 and leader/co-founder of Homra shortly after.
He is nicknamed “King” by Totsuka, and called simply “Mikoto” by Kusanagi and Anna. To everyone else in Homra, he is referred to as “Mikoto-san”. Munakata calls him by his last name without honorifics, and Suoh returns the courtesy.
Also known as the “Red Monster” in Shizume City. A legend spread around town about him says he has demon-like abilities, that incinerate or grant special powers to people worthy.
His Installation ritual consists of taking his hand while engulfed in the flames of his power. Those brave enough to take it are briefly enveloped in flames and will either absorb the aura and receive a mark on their skin, or be scorched by the fire.
Suoh doesn’t care about choosing who joins Homra, and will put to the test anyone who asks to try. He never asks people to become members himself.
A noteworthy exception was when he gave Eric his installation by grabbing his head, making him his final clansman.
Heavy smoker and drinker.
His favorite cigarette brand is Marlboro.
His favorite drink is Bourbon, the Wild Turkey brand (thanks @crmsnking!)
His aura protects him by burning and melting anything that comes his way, including bullets.
He’s very quiet and doesn’t like long conversations. Most times he’ll respond with single words or even just grunts.
He’s a heavy sleeper, and takes a lot of naps. This might be a reference to his lion image, as lions often spend up to 20 hours a day sleeping. He can sleep pretty much anywhere.
He sleeps with a tanktop and long slacks.
He likes to keep his cigarettes right next to his pillow when sleeping, along with an ashtray.
It’s a bad idea to wake him up abruptly. If caught in a daze, Suoh might accidentally unleash his power and burn anyone nearby.
Kusanagi seems the be the only person Suoh is actually afraid of, going as far as apologizing with his head low when scolded by him for breaking things around the bar.
He often has nightmares involving his power taking over and burning everything. Though if asked he’ll deny it.
He’s often forgetful. It can take him a while for him to remember even some of his own clansmen if they aren’t particularly close to him.
He isn’t good at picking names. When Anna asked to name their new horse, he called it “Basashi” (raw horse meat) just because it made him hungry.
Though he’s obviously fond of Totsuka, he has a habit of hitting him on the head when he does something stupid.
He is actually rather perceptive. Suoh claims he was able to sense Eric’s murderous intent before he joined Homra. He also was able to sense Basashi was a strain just by standing next to it.
He isn’t happy of his status of King and really doesn’t want to be one. Even though the leader of Homra, he prefers to go ahead on his own, letting his clansmen choose whether to follow him or not.
Though Suoh generally does what he wants, he shows to be quite a pushover with people he likes. An example are Kusanagi, Totsuka and Anna, who can get Suoh to comply to their requests most of the time.
As an example, he took Anna on a date even though he disliked the idea, just because she admitted to wanting to go on one.
He has read “Alice in Wonderland” to Anna. Munakata happened to witness this.
He appears to have no real sense of boundaries, grabbing Anna and handling her like a doll without any hesitation.
As a teenager he was pretty dense and reckless, throwing himself off a cliff with a bike and carelessly letting himself be caught peeking on his undressing teacher without any concern.
According to Kusanagi, Suoh was feared by others for his violence as early as middle school.
He doesn’t seem to have much awareness of his own strength, playing violently and putting excessive strength in anything he does. He has broken Totsuka’s camera just by touching it (Suoh was very worried that Totsuka would be upset too).
Because of this he’s always given a big handicap when playing games with other Homra members.
He also has little consideration for social etiquette, attempting to break an arcade machine just because it looked easier to get a prize that way rather than playing.
Speaking of which, Suoh is terrible at any and all games that require more than brutal strength (like the claw machine).
Likes strawberries. In high school he was often seen drinking strawberry milk.
He doesn’t eat with tableware unless forced, because it’s too troublesome.
For the same reason, he will rather cook with his powers, crushing vegetables and frying eggs with his hands, instead of using the kitchen.
Amongst the things he doesn’t care about is what he eats. He has been observed eating a single, whole bread baguette for breakfast. When going to eat out, he often asks other people to choose for him.
Seems to have a rather short attention span for mundane things and even some out of the norm. He never seems to notice Kamamoto losing weight in the summer.
His body temperature is always warm or outright hot. Ice creams will melt in his hand very quickly.
Suoh doesn’t seem to really care for honor. He’s uninterested in Homra or himself gaining a reputation, whether good or bad, and generally doesn’t let insults provoke him.
However he can still show a low patience for other things. For example he will quickly get tired of things such as negotiations or chatter and want to get into battle.
He often looks very scary from the outside to commoners, without him realizing. He has terrified an arcade manager by marching up to him asking about bloody games.
Because of his appearance, he’s often mistaken for a Yakuza member.
Little kids seem to like him however.
Animals are always scared of Mikoto, and will submit to him immediately.
Allegedly, Reisi Munakata is the only one able to make Suoh angry in any way (though Totsuka’s antics have mildly annoyed him at times and it’s safe to say the Colorless King was able to at least upset Suoh by killing Totsuka).
The gangs of Shizume City that have been defeated by Homra treat Suoh with fear and respect, bowing to him whenever they see him.
When Totsuka passed away, Suoh took his ear piercing to wear. The earring was hollow and Suoh filled it with Totsuka’s blood from his wound.
He used his power to burn Totsuka’s casket.

Itadori has high EQ. He may not be the brightest kid, but he has high EQ that allows him to relate to people and understand you when others don't.
I hope this headcanon turns out okay.
Warning(s): tons of fluff. I used she/her pronouns.
Enjoy~!

Itadori Yuji
Tumblr media
You are confident in your abilities and yourself.
Many of your classmates back in middle school viewed you as arrogant, cocky and overconfident.
People tend to misjudge you for the first time they met you and avoid you.
Not Itadori.
He approached you and took the time to become your friend.
However, you got ostracised by schoolmates more and more.
During the last year of middle school, you suddenly disappeared, and nobody knows where you went.
Itadori was the most upset that you left without even saying goodbye to him since he treated you like his best friend, and he has feelings for you as well.
The truth was that your abilities at that time were getting out of hand, and your family sold you to the Gojo family.
Gojo Satoru, the strongest jujutsu sorcerer, took you in as his adoptive sibling and trained you to control your abilities.
He would send you and Megumi out together on missions to gain experiences and learn from your mistakes.
When you return from your overseas mission, you were shocked to find Itadori enrolling in Tokyo Jujustu High.
He was excited to see you, and without warning, he ran into you and hug you.
Megumi watches in amusement as you blushed deeply as Itadori pulled on your cheeks and asked about how you disappeared.
You were a grade 1 sorcerer in year 1 and could further rank up if your abilities improved beyond your potential.
Itadori was shocked that you left to become a jujutsu sorcerer and was shocked that you now shared the same surname as Gojo.
For the first few weeks, you ignored him, and he could not take it.
He confronts you, and you told him you were not a good person to be around.
To him, you are a good person that wants to help but often misunderstood.
He cups your face and finally kisses you and tells you you are a kind person and is not evil, no matter what others say.
He just took your first kiss.
And for that, you avoided him again, no on purpose, but you had an overseas mission to go to.
When you were gone, he was busy learning about the jujutsu world, and during one of his free days, he met up with his middle school classmates.
The meeting was going well, and he mentioned that he is currently going to the same school as you.
And it turns sour. They started badmouthing you in front of him, and he could not let them badmouth you anymore.
Itadori stood up from the table, and everyone went silent.
"Stop badmouthing y/n. Y/n is a good person with a kind heart that helps people. Whatever you guys are saying about her, she's not like that. If you guys continue to badmouth y/n, let's not talk anymore."
He walks out of the cafe, still upset that his friends misunderstood your personality.
You were in town, with a few shopping bags in your arms and souvenirs for everyone back in school.
His eyes light up as he spotted you outside a store, looking at the clothes by the window.
"Y/N! You are back!" He pulls you into his chest, gaining some stares from strangers. You blushed deeply as he pulls away and cups your face, and checks your face for injuries.
He smiles when he sees no injuries on you.
"Do you wanna get some crepes? I saw one food truck selling it; I know you love the sweet crepe." He saw you hesitate, and he took your hands in his and pulls you towards the direction of the food truck.
He was still feeling down from the earlier interactions with his friends but seeing you made his day slightly better.
You waited under the shade while he went to get the crepes for you two.
"Strawberry cream crepe for you~." You thanked him and dig into the soft crepe filled with fresh strawberries and sweet cream.
He smiled in content as you enjoyed the sweet treat. Itadori loves watching you enjoy any food that you are eating. He knows what you love and the food that you dislike.
"Eh, why do you eat like a kid? Come here." You leaned forward, and he gently wipes off the cream on the corner of your lips with his thumb and cleans the cream off by eating it.
Your cheeks were flushed by his action, and silently finished your crepe.
Then you remember how he was in a bad mood before pulling you away to get some crepes.
"Yuji, why were you in a bad mood just now?" You asked him, and he sighed and leans his head on your shoulder.
"I met up with some old friends from middle school, and they were badmouthing you in front of me. They misunderstood you and were talking badly about you." You let out a laugh at his reasoning. He pouts at you.
He was too pure for this world.
"Yuji, it's okay but thank you for standing up for me. I'm used to those kinds of harsh words. You don't have to break up your friendships with them over me." You pat his head, and he sigh.
"How could I not stand up for you? You're a good person that always gets misunderstood by others. It hurts me that people viewed you as a person with no morals..." His smile fell, and you wrap your arm around his waist and leans your head on his chest.
He stiffens but relaxes when he feels you giggling in his chest.
"You are way too nice to me. Hmm, I guess which is one of the reasons that I like you too." You sneakily confessed.
"Wait, what? You like me? Like as in more than friends?" He pulls away from the hug and stares at you in shock.
"Hmm, how about you figure out which 'like' I'm talking about? Thanks for the crepe."
Itadori blushed and cheered loudly, garnering strange stares from others. His feelings are returned, his crush likes him!

Now I’ve Seen You I’ve Seen It All Chapter Four
this took forever but i hope it’s worth the wait!!!
(chapter one)
(chapter two)
(chapter three)
“I can’t believe our parents just… left each other,” Ellen whispers later that night. Their mutual dislike long forgotten, the two girls had worked together to push two beds together, where they now lay, side by side.
“You can’t?” Ali asks after a moment, startled by the conversation change. They had been discussing the merits of the third season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a show both girls love despite the fact that they are probably a little too young to be watching it.
“You can?” Ellen counters.
Ali props herself on her elbow, looking down at her sister as she shakes her hair back. “Yeah I mean we didn’t get along did we? Like daughters like parents right?”
“I don’t believe that’s the saying.”
“Oh shut up,” Ali says, laying back down.
They lapse into a peaceful silence, nearly drifting to sleep until Ellen bolts upright.
“Something wrong there El?” Ali asks, wrinkling her nose in confusion.
“I was just thinking-”
“Did it hurt?”
Ellen swats at her sister. “I was just thinking that we look identical right?”
Ali shrugs. “More or less, yeah.”
“And if we look identical, Mom and Dad wouldn’t be able to tell us apart if we switched right?”
“Ellen, are you saying we should… switch places?”
Ellen waves her hands around like she’s had a brilliant idea as Ali sits up to look at her sister. “That’s exactly what I’m saying Ali! Okay, think about it. We look identical, we could pull it off.”
Ali looks, understandably, very confused. “How?”
Ellen’s face falls. “Well… figuring that out is the next step… obviously.”
Ali smiles. “I wouldn’t mind it,” she says thoughtfully.
“Wait really? I had a good idea?”
Ali laughs and nudges Ellen’s shoulder. “Yeah, little sis, you did.”
“I’m older,” Ellen says.
“Are you sure about that?”
Ellen seems to be considering this, so Ali continues talking. “I mean, if we were hypothetically going to do this- hypothetically!” Ali adds quickly as Ellen perks up. “How would it work? I take the plane to Connecticut, you go home with Dad?”
“Yep,” Ellen says.
“But… isn’t it risky?”
“What do you mean?” Ellen asks, sitting up and tucking her legs under her. Ali does the same. She waves her arms around for a moment, finding the right words.
“I mean I have a strawberry allergy. What if Mom gives me something with strawberries that she knows you can eat and then I eat it and I die?”
“You do realize that people invented this thing called an EpiPen?” Ellen asks.
“Yeah, well sometimes they go missing when they’re needed.”
Ellen rolls her eyes. “Come on Ali please this is my only chance to meet Dad. And you want to meet Mom right?”
“Right.”
“So then we’ll do it for a… for a month! Yeah, we’ll switch for a month and then on a predetermined day we’ll tell the truth.”
“And then they’ll have to unswitch us,” Ali says, slowly catching on to what Ellen has been trying to say.
“And then they’ll meet. Aunt Maeve said they still love each other right? Then they’ll get married and we won’t be separated. See? Ali, we have to do this.”
Ali licks her lip and nods slowly. “Okay. Yeah I can see where you’re coming from.”
Ellen grins. “And of course we’ll tell each other everything we need to know: rituals, bed times, favorite books and movies, stuff like that.”
“Yeah.” Ali runs her hands through her hair and then freezes.
“What is it?”
“Ellen, I have long hair. And pierced ears.”
Ellen has neither.
“So?”
So?” Ali repeats. “You can’t go to camp with short hair and unpierced ears and come back with long hair and pierced ears.”
“Why not?”
Ali gives Ellen a look.
“Okay, okay. I can cut your hair, right?”
“What?” Ali asks, staring at her sister in surprise. “You can’t just… cut my hair… Can you?”
“Of course I can. My Aunt Keely does it all the time. It’s easy.” Ellen says this with confidence she does not have, her desperation to meet her father overriding her usually ample logic.
Ali bites her lip and then nods. “Okay, fine, go ahead.”
With a giggle, Ellen jumps out of the bed.
“Wait, now?” Ali asks, scrambling out of the bed after her sister.
“No better time than the present!” Ellen sings as she rifles through her stuff for a scissor.
“Oh boy,” Ali mutters and Ellen pulls out a pair of scissors from her bag - why Ellen has scissors Ali doesn’t want to know.
“Okay now just sit in front of the mirror and just… hold still.”
Ali does as she’s told, staring at her waist length hair in the cracked mirror. She spies Ellen approaching her from behind and shrieks. Ellen shrieks in response and jumps back.
“What? What!”
“Sorry, nothing, it’s just, should I really be trusting you with scissors?” Ali turns around to face her sister.
Ellen sighs and puts her hands on her hips. “If you must know, I cut the ribbon at my school’s playground opening ceremony last year. I’m kind of a scissor expert.”
Ali makes a face. “Please don’t ever say that again. God, you're going to be eaten alive in high school.”
Ellen ignores her sister, turning her back to face the mirror. Ellen holds up a lock of Ali’s hair, positions the scissors, and then pauses. “What? What is it?” Ali asks.
“I can’t do this if you’re watching me. Maybe you should close your eyes?”
Ali sighs. “Fine. Fine but if you mess it up…” Ali trails off, leaving the threat hanging.
Ellen gulps. “I will not. I promise. Just close your eyes.”
Ali closes her eyes, and Ellen, after measuring the length of her hair in the mirror, cuts a lock of Ali’s hair. Then another. Then another, and soon both girls relax. Ellen makes the last cut, and steps back to examine her work.
“Uh, oh,” she mutters. During the fifteen minutes it took for Ellen to cut Ali’s hair, Ali had started to slowly tilt her head, causing Ellen to misjudge how much hair she was cutting. The resulting look is rather… slanted, with one end half an inch above Ali’s shoulder, and the other end halfway down her back.
“What? Are you done? Can I look now?”
“Um, no. Not yet. Actually, um, want to go for an adventure?”
“Ellen? What? I’m gonna open my eyes.”
“No, no!” Ellen cries, lunging forward to grab Ali’s beanie from her bed. She picks it up, and in one deft motion she twists the remains of Ali’s hair into a knot and stuffs the beanie onto Ali’s head.
“Ellen what in the world?”
“Nothing! Nothing, come let’s show your hair to Aunt Maeve!”
“At two in the morning?”
“Yes. Come.”
“I’m looking at my hair,” Ali says, and before Ellen can stop her, Ali opens her eyes, pulls off the hat, and shrieks - again. Ellen flinches. “Ellen what did you do?” Ali asks, turning back to look at her sister. Ellen puts her hands to her mouth.
“Oh I don’t know. I’m sorry!”
“Sorry! Ellen, I look awful!”
“I know, I know!” Ellen cries. “Come on, can we just let Aunt Maeve fix it?”
Ali nods. “Okay fine, but you are never coming near me with a pair of scissors again, understood?”
Ellen laughs. “Deal.”
“Girls, what?” a very tired Maeve asks as she opens the door to her cabin.
“God why do kids never just sleep when they’re supposed to?” Luis asks, running his hand through his hair as he steps behind his wife.
“We had an emergency,” Ellen informs her aunt and uncle.
“Oh have we gone back to murdering each other?” Luis asks. Maeve turns around to give him her very best “shut up or else” look.
“Well, no. Maybe you should just look.”
Ellen steps to the side to allow Ali to be seen. Maeve looks at Ali’s hair and does a double take. Luis has to duck back into the cabin to hide his laughter. “Ali, what in the world?” Maeve asks, her husband’s laughter almost drowning her out. She reaches a hand out to run her hand through the long part of Ali’s hair.
“Um…” Ali says.
“Ali fell,” Ellen says confidently. Maeve stares at her for a moment before deciding that sometimes a lie is better than the truth.
“Right. And, I assume you want me to fix this?”
Both Ali and Ellen nod, Ali’s panicked expression bordering on hysterical.
Maeve sighs and pulls the door open further. “Come on in, girls.”
“Okay now, unpin the next layer of hair. Yeah, just like that.” In her defense, Keely really took being FaceTimed at ten in the morning by Maeve Santos because she needed instructions on how to cut hair pretty well. Even if she was late for work. Keely nods as she watches Maeve do as she’s told, combing Ali’s hair down and snipping off the ends. “So, what time is it over there?”
“Two. In the morning,” Luis grumbles from his spot on the bed, Ellen happily in his lap.
Keely raises her eyebrows, nodding at her phone, the ghost of a laugh on her face. “So, it really looks like you take after your father, huh Ali?”
Ali smiles at the pretty lady on the other end of her newfound aunt’s phone. She’s not quite sure what to say, but if she’s Addy’s wife then she must be thousands of shades of perfect.
Keely tilts her head. “But you’ve got Bronwyn’s looks I think.”
“Spitting image of Bron,” Maeve agrees as she spins Ali around to look at the front of her face. “What do you think, Ellen? Beautiful or what?”
“Or what,” Ellen mumbles, eyes fluttering closed.
“Ellen.”
“Okay, okay, she looks like me.”
“She does,” Keely agrees from the phone.
Ellen perks up suddenly, remembering the reason for this adventure in the first place. “Uncle Luis, will you take me to get my ears pierced tomorrow?”
Maeve looks over at her niece, recognition dawning in her eyes. She looks at her husband, who, as always, is on the same page as her. Those clever girls. Maeve smiles to herself as she waves goodbye to Keely and hangs up her phone.
“Sure, I’d be happy to Ellen,” Luis says, grinning at his wife.
“Yeah, he has to get clothes for Nick anyway, he’s growing like crazy.”
Ellen grins. “Thanks!”
“Any time. Oh also Ellen, did you know that Ali’s full name is Alejandra?”
“No, I didn’t,” Ellen says to her aunt, looking at her sister.
Luis shakes his head at Maeve, but she just grins back. If the girls insist on trading places, they might as well know each other’s full names.
An hour later, Maeve and Luis carry the girls back to their cabin with the promise of a trip into town to pierce Ellen’s ears.
“These girls are insane,” Luis says quietly.
“Well, they are Bronwyn and Nate’s daughters,” Maeve says as she gently puts Ali down on her bed. Luis does the same with Ellen, and they slowly back out of the cabin, shutting the door behind them.
“And your nieces.”
Maeve looks up at him. “Are you calling me insane Santos?”
“Always, Maevey.”
Maeve laughs and tucks herself into Luis’s side. He kisses the top of her head. “Do you think Bronwyn and Nate will forgive me for what those two are about to do?” Maeve didn’t need to ask her nieces to know that they were planning on switching places. She would have done the same thing at their age.
“Not at all.”
“But hopefully they’ll be too in love to notice me?”
Luis laughs as he stops to catch Maeve in his arms and swing her around. “Keep dreaming girl.”

I was about to eat an orange and it made me ponder about my relationship with fruits.
I've been friends with oranges for as far as I can remember. We don't know exactly how it happened but it's been so long they've become my most trusted, reliable friend, someone I know well and can count on at any time.
Strawberries I kind of have a crush on but I also appreciate our platonic relationship a lot. Most of the time I just wish we got to have more time together.
Watermelons were my huge childhood crush, but now we see eachother even less frequently, though we still have a good relationship, like a casual friendship where you don't really know each other too deeply or spend too much time together but when you do, it's really nice, and it doesn't need to be more.
Melons I see very rarely. I'm still quite fond of them, and I'd even say I kind of look up to them at times. I always hoped we could get to know eachother better, but it seems like we're not meant to become close.
Apples are also a good old friend, and though they're not necessarily cold or unreliable, we simply don't have the connection that I do with oranges. We meet every once and then, but it's like we became friends as kids out of innertia and have grown to realize we don't actually have much in common.
Lemons are this cool friend I didn't become close with until I was older that you suddenly realize you have so much in common, and you often wonder why you didn't start talking to them earlier.
With tangerines we have oranges as friends in common. I must admit I used to be rather wary or even jealous around them at first, but they have proved to be good company. I have grown to enjoy it when they come around unexpectedly, and we don't even need oranges to be in the middle to have a good time with each other now.
With bananas it's a bit weird. Most of the time, I either don't mind them or feel passively annoyed by them, but every now and then there's the rare occasion where something makes me appreciate them and even become fond of them if only for a moment. I'd then go on to forget about it and we've never been more than acquaintances, and though I remember openly disliking them in the past I now see them as an interesting person I'm just not compatible with.
Grapefruits on the other hand I could never get around to liking them. We've been almost rivals for a long time and I think that's how it's always going to be. I frankly don't understand why people like them sometimes, they just seem like bad company, but well. They probably know them better than me and that is not something I could bother to try and change. I'm fine staying away from them, and having them away from me.

Have you ever watched a movie in class/school that made you cry? Yes. I took this adulthood and aging psychology class and I forget what it was exactly the documentary we had to watch was about, but I remember being on the verge of tears because it reminded me of my grandpa who passed away.
What’s the earliest you could go to bed at night and feel okay about? Uhh, I don’t know? Just whenever I fall asleep.
What is you favorite type of lunch meat? Turkey, salami, and bologna.
What time of the year do you dislike the most? Summertime.
Do you put ketchup on your scrambled eggs? Ew, no.
What is your favorite color to wear? Black.
Are you an overachiever? No. Especially not these past few years where I haven’t done anything at all and put like no effort into anything. :/ At least when I was in school and things were better than how they’ve been the past few years I was productive in school and put effort into things and into myself. I’ve just given up.
What physical feature do you wish you had (i.e. freckles, curly hair)? Perfect teeth.
What fictional character (i.e. Bambi, Scarlette O'Hara) would you marry? Uh, I definitely don’t want to marry Bambi... anyway, I’d say one of the characters Alexander Skarsgard has played.
How long have you gone without shaving (girls- legs, armpits; boys- faces)? I don’t know, a couple weeks or so.
Did you ever go through a phase where you wrote bad poetry? Ha, yeah, when I was like 16 during my emo days. They’re so cringe.
What is your favorite thing about your life? My family.
Have you ever painted a picture of somebody? No.
How many real bfs/gfs have you had? I honestly haven’t had a real, serious relationship.
Did you enjoy your past relationships? With Joseph I did.
Name a comedy that you like. Bridesmaids.
Could you wait until marriage for sex? Yeah, but I don’t plan on getting married.
What’s the best Nirvana song? Lithium.
What was the last thing that impressed you? Hmm. I don’t recall.

Did you rollerblade as a kid? Do you still rollerblade? No.
Would you ever settle into a relationship that wasn’t right for you? Do you know friends who are in relationships just so they have someone to sleep with at night? I’d like to say no, but I allowed Joseph to use and play me for 3 years, so. I knew deep down he didn’t feel the same way as I did and he didn’t want to be in a committed relationship with me, but I didn’t want to admit it. I liked the attention and the good times we had and I didn’t want to give that up. I would hope that now that I’m older and have experienced that I wouldn’t allow it to happen again. Survey #437
“you get what you pray for  /  you don’t get anything”
Do you tell your mom and dad everything? No. Who was the last person you talked about something that was bothering you with? Most likely my mom. What’s your favorite musical? I don't like musicals. Who did you last share a taxi with? I've never been in a taxi. If you’ve ever tried drugs or alcohol, what was your reason for first trying it? I've never done drugs, but the first time I drank was actually an accident. I'd come in from a long, hot walk, and I desperately needed water, and Mom offered me what I thought was just pink lemonade. Turns out it was a Mike's Hard Lemonade and I CHUGGED it before everyone around me was like "NOOOO!" because it was alcohol lmaooo. If you were far from home and needed to sleep for the night, would you choose to rent a crappy motel room for $60 or sleep in your car for free? I'm sleeping in my car. I'm afraid of things like bed bugs. Is there a situation where you caved into peer pressure and regretted it? I don't think so? Have you ever rolled off your bed in your sleep? Pretty sure no. What is your favourite planet? Saturn! Do you enjoy Mario games? Not really, honestly. They're just not my style. Mario Kart is fun every now and again, though. What flavor fruity drink is your favorite? Strawberry, in most cases. Ever done a keg stand? No. Who is the last person you lent money to? My mom. Do you have any health problems that are unusual for your age? I have carpal tunnel in my wrists from typing so much, but I'm not sure how "unusual" that is for young adults nowadays... I feel like there's something else, but it's evading me right now. Do you bite your nails? No, I pick/peel at them. :x What’s the longest nap you’ve ever taken? Oh god, hours. To the point it no longer really qualifies as a "nap." When people ask you about school, what is your usual response? Do you enjoy talking about school? Why or why not? I get all awkward and just reply that I gave it numerous shots, but my mental health couldn't handle it. I hate talking about school because I feel like a failure. Do you know how to fill a car’s tire with air? Have you ever had to do it? No to both. Do you like your best friend’s parents? Why or why not? Omg I LOVE them. They are spectacular people with massive hearts. I especially am drawn to her dad, whom I find incredibly inspiring. Both her parents are just great. I miss 'em. What do you like in your hot cocoa - marshmallows, whipped cream, candy canes? Do you even like hot cocoa? I loooove hot chocolate. I really just prefer it plain, but you can toss a few marshmallows in there. Which do you have a problem with: over-eating or under-eating? I'm way more likely to over-eat than under-eat. A girl likes her food lmao. The last boy you kissed, good-looking? He's by no means ugly, but I wasn't physically attracted to him personally. Do you love him? Not romantically, but definitely platonically. Do you like cherry Pepsi? I like cherry Coke. I don't like Pepsi. When was the last time you were given flowers? Ummm... I want to say the last time was many years ago when Tyler visited for the first time when we started dating. What do you want to name your children? I don't want kids. But hypothetically, Alessandra and probably Damien. Would you ever write a letter to someone you haven’t met yet, like your future spouse? No. I'd probably get too emotional anyway. Do you carry a mirror in your purse? No. Do you believe that there is beauty in everything? I've always thought this was such a stupid idea that tries to make reason out of life and its tragedies. Like yeah, cancer, rape, murder, etc. are definitely "beautiful." There is absolutely no beauty in a vast plethora of things. The first time you smoked, did you cough like a fool? I've never smoked before. When you were younger, did you have a Neopets account? Oh, yes. I loooooved Neopets, but not quite as much as Webkinz. I've actually remade a Neopetz account multiple times because I'd forget my info, ha ha... Who was the last person you got in a fist fight with? I've never been in a physical fight. Did you and your mom ever have a big fight that caused you to move out? Not "move out," no. We did, however, have a fight where I stayed with Dad for I want to say a week, maybe a bit less. Do you dislike anyone? Why? Well, yes. I don't know anyone who doesn't dislike somebody. There are a few people, in my case, that I'm not going to spend time going through and pointing out what I don't like. Do you think you will be in a relationship 2 months from now? No. Do you always feel like you’re making mistakes? Like constantly. Does your animal sleep with you? Roman usually does, yeah. Do you have any baby pictures of yourself on your computer? No. Mom has those in photo albums. What kind was the last chip you ate? I want to say traditional Lays? It was at my nephew's bday party. Do you eat onion rings? No, I'm not a fan. What was the last thing to disgust you? I think it was some thumbnail I saw on YouTube, even though it was (weakly) blurred. Where do you see your ex in 5 years? "The" ex, I don't want to think about it. Probably somewhere great for him, but would break my heart if I knew. Do your parents swear? Dad swears big time, while Mom tries to hold it back. You won't hear her say something like "fuck" unless she is SERIOUSLY upset. Do you ever drink warm milk? Warm milk sounds literally disgusting. Would you be really upset if Facebook ceased to exist tomorrow? No. I literally just came back from my break from it, so it'd be more funny than anything. The universe's way of telling me "nah, son." Who do you know that wears the most makeup? My friend Summer, but then again she's a cosmetologist. Have you ever had bronchitis? No, thankfully. Jason had it BAD once and I will neeever forget that cough, good Lord. Do you like to wear makeup? I hate applying it more than anything. Like, I love that it can help me feel prettier, but I pretty much never wear it because it's just a pain to put on, especially by myself because I have bad tremors in my hands. How many times have you been to the ER? Way too many times for being suicidal. How often do you feel lonely? Honestly, pretty much always. When are you most uncomfortable? I dunno, man. I'm always uncomfortable about one thing or another. Has anyone ever revealed a secret about you? Not that I remember... Have you ever revealed anyone else’s secret? No, that is such a shitty thing to do. Have you ever had a family member/friend that was hospitalized? Yes. Have you ever been in trouble with the law? No. Is there anything you want to experiment with? I mean, nothing that quickly comes to mind. There are things I want to try, but nothing major. What do you hope happens to you after you die? Mixed feelings. Sometimes I hope there's some sort of nirvana-like state we experience, I think it'd be wonderful to be reunited with loved ones, but I also sometimes think it'd be best if we just... stopped existing. Consciousness just stops. I dunno. I'll find out eventually. What is the most disgusting thing you have seen in person (not on TV)? Probably a maggot-infested deer corpse that I faintly remember from where I used to live. I thought it was the sickest thing ever lmao, in both senses. What is something others make fun of you for? Always holding some sort of technology. Just don't fucking comment on it. It makes me self-conscious as hell. Is your life turning out like you pictured it would? QUITE THE FUCKING OPPOSITE. Do your initials spell out a word? No. Has anyone ever given you roses? Yeah. Last baby you held? My older sister's youngest daughter. Whose wedding were you in the first time you were a bridesmaid or groomsman? My aforementioned sister's. What is something you would never do to your body? I mean, there's a large number of things. There are certain piercings and tattoos I wouldn't dare to get, I plan on taking care of my hair as best I can to avoid ruining it despite wanting to dye it a lot... *shrug* Stuff like that. How are you planning to decorate your house for Halloween? I don't know if we'll decorate. We haven't really for a few years now... I don't have the motivation to do it myself, and now that it's just me and her and I'm grown up (I know, I'm laughing too), Mom doesn't really bother with doing it. I know I DO want to carve pumpkins this year, though. Dunno what, but I'll figure it out. Ever lived in a trailer park? No. Do you like salsa that has fruit in it? NOOOOOOOOOOO Can you count in binary? No. Do you like hard or soft pretzels better? I'll eat both, but I have a strong preference for soft ones. When was the last time someone kissed you on the cheek? Who was it? I'm sure that was either my niece of nephew when I was leaving their house when I last visited for Ryder's birthday. What kind of ice cream did you eat last? Where’d you get it from? It was chocolate. I had a scoop at the aforementioned birthday party. Do you like flowers? What is your favorite kind to receive? I love flowers. I don't have a favorite to receive, really. Have you ever unblocked someone that you blocked before? Yes. Has anyone slapped you across the face before? If so, why? No. Do you prefer to have more or less in common with your significant other? I like to be pretty similar. Would you take a shot of heroin for a million dollars? No. I don't fuck with that, even for that much money. Why don’t you talk to your ex anymore? He wants nothing to do with me. Do you think it is okay to drive while high? Obviously not...? Do you find Halloween or Valentine’s Day more exciting? Halloween. Has anyone you know ever had serious surgery before? Yeah; my mom immediately comes to mind in both instances she had cancer. When she had kidney cancer, the tumor was larger than the kidney itself, and she lost the entire organ. When she had ovarian cancer, she had to have a complete hysterectomy because the cancer was EVERYWHERE along her reproductive system to an almost fatal degree. My mom's pretty metal. If you had the last person you kissed’s Facebook password, would you go snooping through their stuff? Why or why not? No, because that's a violation of privacy? You don't do that shit. Have you ever fainted? If so, when was the last time? If not, have you ever came close to? Yes. The only time that I remember was maaaany years ago, like, maybe '14. I've nearly fainted plenty of times since then for various reasons, but mostly just from low blood pressure. Ever take a keyboarding class? Do you type using the skills you learned in that class or how you used to before you took the class? Yes; I believe one course was mandatory in middle school. I type the proper way, yeah. Ever cut your hair (the entire thing – not just the bangs or a little part) yourself? Noooo. Would you ever open your own business? If so, what kind of business could you imagine yourself having? Well, I'd like to be a freelance photographer, but to be real, I'm starting to loosen up on that dream. It's been too long, I just don't see it happening anymore. Baby steps are one thing, but I've barely managed any of those in forever. Ever meet and talk to someone from an online dating site? No. Would you date someone you weren’t physically attracted to? Why or why not? Yes; I've done it before. I just care way more about emotional chemistry. Besides, historically, me liking someone for their heart has made each person a lot more attractive to me as a whole. Last person to hang up on you? I dunno. What’s your favorite scary movie? The Blair Witch Project. The second one is great, too, plus The Crazies. Which urban legend is your favourite? Oh man, you can't ask me this. I LOVE cryptids and conspiracies 'n shit. Are any of your fears completely irrational? Yes, like whale sharks. A whale shark ain't gonna hurt u boo but I see that mouth and am like no thnx Where is the light switch in your room? Funnily enough, I don't have a light switch; there isn't a ceiling light in this room. I instead have two table lamps that I can turn on on either side of my bed. Would you make a good lawyer? Hell no, I cry when I argue lmao. It's funny tho because I remember in TWO instances, in-depth surveys recommending jobs for you brought up me being a lawyer, and each time I was just like,,,,, no???????? Why did your family decide to live where you’re living now? It was more necessity than anything. Our old house had a LOT of issues to it, and with Mom's cancer diagnosis, she needed the cleanest environment possible, and that was NOT our old place. The house we live in now is owned by a family friend, and when the previous owner died, the timing just... kinda worked out to where that family friend I mentioned helped us pay our way into here. We really don't like this place because of the location, but it had to work. What was the best pet you've ever had? All things considered, I have to hand it to my boy Teddy. That dog was someone special. Very, very special. If you were allowed one murder without punishment, would you do it? Nah. Name one song you can play on an instrument, any instrument! I can probably still slam out "Hot Cross Buns" on a recorder. \m/ Have you ever ridden on a motorcycle? Noooo, I'm scared to. On the opposite sex, do you prefer muscles, average size, or scrawny bodies? It depends on the person, ig. I can be attracted to any of those. Just not EXTREME muscle. Not my thing at all.

Section 1 – Who were you?
Think back as far as you can. What is the first memory you have? I think meeting my (now) dad for the first time when he and my mom were dating. I was very upset because he was short and that’s not what dads were supposed to look like in my 3 year old eyes since my bio dad was super tall.
What is something you remember enjoying very much as a small child? Playing Barbies, watching Barney, Happy Meals, being with my grandma.
How old were you, when you made your very first friend? Probably preschool.
Are you still friends with this person today? Facebook friends, yeah. Real friends, no.
Was there a story somebody read or told you that has stuck with you? No one ever read to me after I learned to read for myself so one day I was sick and I came home and curled up with my mom on the couch and asked her to read me a Little Mermaid book I had and she did, even though I had to get up to go shit myself halfway through and it meant a lot to me at the time.
What is something you get an immense feeling of nostalgia from? Hannah Montana for some reason. It was my favorite show and we didn’t get the Disney channel so whenever we went to a hotel, nobody could tell me fuckin NOTHING because we were watching Hannah Montana whether they liked it or not.
As a child, were you a sore loser or a sore winner? I was the only child for 8 years and then the oldest after that so I never lost at anything and now when I do, I feel like I'm the biggest piece of shit loser there’s ever been. So that’s fun.
Did you go through the "naked phase"? I learned that you didn’t have to sleep in pajamas and you could just sleep naked so I did it for a while but then realized that I much preferred pajamas.
Which television shows do you watch the most as a child? I loved TV so basically all of the 90′s/early 2000′s shows there were.
Did you play with siblings, neighbourhood kids or by yourself? Either with neighborhood/school kids or by myself. I didn’t ever really have siblings who weren’t my kids, if that makes sense.
Is there something you really miss from your childhood today? I miss back when everything was simple.
Section 2 – Likes and interests
Would you ever like to try competitive pinball playing? Ummm, no.
Do you knit, crochet or cross stitch? I’m trying to teach myself to crochet.
Have you ever, or would you like to attend a gaming or comic convention? No thx.
What's your opinion on online multiplayer games? I really liked Among Us for a while there but I don’t really enjoy how rude everyone is on online games.
Do you like to go cycling? If so, where? Uh no.
Have you ever tried woodturning? If not, would you like to? Never tried it, don’t really have any desire to, but it can be relaxing to watch!
Do you enjoy drawing? If so, what do you usually draw? I do! I usually draw graphics for YouTube videos or doodle over Instagram photos, draw things to put on shirts with my Cricut, etc. I use my iPad for so many things.
Have you ever attended a painting class? If so, what did you create? I haven’t but I would like to!
How about a creative writing course? If so, did you get any feedback? I took Creative Writing literally every year it was offered in high school and I always got awards for having the top marks in the class.
What is your favourite form of exercise? No thank you.
Section 3 – People
Who is the most important person in your life (besides yourself)? My husband.
Do people generally approach you easily? I think so!
Do you get along with people well? If not, what's the problem? Yeah! I’m pretty friendly and easy going.
Do you enjoy being in crowds or do you prefer your own company? I would much prefer my own company than crowds.
Which one of your friends have you known the longest? I still talk to the girl I was best friends with in the 6th grade on occasion so like 17-18 years?
Do you find it easy to make friends now? If not, what makes it difficult? As an adult who works from home, making friends is hard as fuck.
What is something about people that annoys you? Something I've noticed in recent years is just how entitled and greedy everyone is. Everybody wants something from you or for your skills to benefit them without them putting in any work or paying you for your time. It’s just gross.
What is something about people that you really like? We have really, really harsh winters and if you ever find yourself in the ditch for whatever reason, there will be a lineup of cars stopped behind you to help you push it out or let you chill in their car while you wait for a tow truck. On the really bad blizzard days, there are groups of men in big trucks that literally L I V E to go around and help pull people’s cars out of the ditch. It’s the only time I feel like there’s actually a sense of community around here.
If you live alone, what would be your criteria for a roommate? I honestly would never have a roommate because they could either be your friend or a stranger and living with friends is a good way to ruin a friendship if your living styles aren’t similar and living with a stranger just sounds like a nightmare.
How about criteria for a spouse, if you're single? I am married but my criteria was honestly that I just wanted him to be kind and funny and I got that tenfold with my husband.
In general, what's your attitude towards people? I can’t stand to be around grumpy people. If all you do is gripe and complain about literally everything, I’m out. No thank you. Why is your hobby being angry? Take up knitting or something for christ’s sake.
Section 4 – Habits
What is something you do every day without fail? Baby talk the dog and snuggle with Beebs.
What is your typical breakfast? I’m a leftovers for breakfast kinda gal but lately I’ve been having a bagel and watermelon.
Which article of clothing do you like to wear the most? I loooove me a good baggy T-shirt and booty shorts.
Is there a TV show you watch habitually? We’re currently watching Unhhhh while we eat dinner every night, haha!
Where do you usually spend most of your day? I really only sit in 4 places--bed, the couch, my makeup/work desk, or my sewing desk. Depends on the day which one I’m at.
Is there a product that you do not want to run out of? Moisturizer. I’m a dry son of a bitch.
What is your preferred mode of transport? Car!
Do you usually have something playing in the background when you're home? Nah. I’m in silence a lot of the time.
Where do you usually get your groceries? Walmart for the bulk of it, a local grocery store for the specialty items, and Target if we ever run out of something midweek because I cannot handle Walmart more than once a week.
How often do you go to your local park? Like once or twice a month in the summer!
Which of your hobbies do you indulge in most often? Sewing and Sims currently!
Section 5 – Favourites and dislikes
What is your favourite fruit? Watermelon!
How about your favourite berry? Strawberries are the only berry I like.
Which food do you highly dislike? Fish. It’s all disgusting.
What is your favourite song, and why? I hate this question. Who can pick one definitive favorite song out of the bajillions of songs that have been written??
What is a movie you cannot stand? Anything with Seth Rogen in it, any movie that's got a 3+ after it (looking @ you, Fast & Furious), and all the fuckin’ superhero movies that have the same ‘ah yes, this undefeatable bad guy that we have absolutely no chance against and will undoubtedly kill us all--but we’re going to pull through at the last second with the power of friendship!’ plot line.
Which trait in a person do you find most appealing? I don’t know how to describe it--certain people just have that spark and you can always tell right away if they’ve got it or not and those are my favorite kind of people.
Which trait puts you instantly off? If they’re religious it’s an instant no from me, dog.
Who is an actor/actress who you dislike so much you can't watch them? I really, really dislike Tom Holland. I honestly think he’s a terrible actor.
What colour are your favourite shoes? White!
What is a smell that disgusts you to no end? B.O., on me or others. I just can’t deal with it.
Which door handle/door knob do you like the most in your home? They’re all the same.
Section 6 – Culture
What is something very typical to the culture of your home country? Apple pie and baseball are the only things coming to mind atm.
Do you enjoy art? If so, which form of art is the most enjoyable? I do! But I prefer art that you can look at and know the artist is incredibly gifted and/or has put in a ton of time and effort to master their skills. None of that million dollar paint smear on a canvas shit.
What is something about another country's culture you don't understand? I feel like other cultures take their family and their family’s approval way too seriously. That might be rich coming from someone who doesn’t have a very good relationship with their family but I just don’t understand what the point of making yourself miserable to make your family happy is.
Do you ever attend the theater? If so, which play did you see last? Last thing I saw in a theater was Shangela perform a drag show, haha!
How about the opera or the ballet? Nope.
Which dance troupe do you enjoy, if any? ...they still do that?
Do you attend concerts or gigs? If so, which band did you see last? Not as much as I’d like to as no one good really comes here very often. Last band we saw was X Ambassadors and Paramore!
Are you interested in foreign food? I’m not uninterested but I’m not super interested either.
If so, which country's cuisine do you enjoy the most? Chinese...albiet probably a very Americanized version of Chinese.
Do you enjoy stand-up comedy? If so, who is your favourite comic? I doooo! Bo Burnham and Drew Lynch are my favorites.
Do you contribute to culture in some way? If so, how? I try to? I’m an influencer so I definitely have a platform of a couple hundred thousand people. Not sure what exactly I contribute tho.
Section 7 – Charity
Do you volunteer your time to anything charitable? If so, what? Newp.
Do you donate money to any charities? If so, which ones? No. I don’t trust a lot of charities, to be quite honest. A lot of them are very shady and I’d rather donate money directly to someone who needed it rather than it getting tied up in a charity where it might never actually see the people they claim to be helping.
If you have pets, are any of them rescues from shelters? We adopted our dog from one of my husband’s coworkers but she probably would have gone to the shelter if we didn’t take her.
Do you donate your old clothes, linen etc. to charitable organizations? Yes! We almost always have a bag of donations in our trunk that we always forget to take to the thrift store when we go.
If someone you know is in need, is it in your nature to offer help? If I can, yes!
Have you ever donated Christmas presents to children of poor families? We used to do that when I was a kid.
Have you ever had to rely on other people's charity? One Christmas when I was really young I remember my parents signed up for a sponsorship through the Salvation Army where a family adopted us and bought us Christmas presents and Christmas dinner or whatever.
How do you feel about donating to charities endorsed by celebrities? I would never donate to a charity simply because it was sponsored by a celebrity but I guess its the easiest way for a charity to get the word out that they need donations.
Is there a charity you absolutely never ever will not trust? PETA, Salvation Army, Goodwill, and that breast cancer one with the horrible CEO.
Have you ever donated to a cause that had a person going door to door? No. I extra wouldn’t if someone came knocking on my door asking for money.
In general, what is your opinion on charity? I already did my rant about them, haha.
Section 8 – Entertainment
Which was the very first video game you remember playing? Ocarina of Time I believe!
Which was the very first film you remember watching? That I don’t remember. Maybe that Barney movie with the magic egg?
What is your go-to form of entertainment? TikTok usually.
Do you have a large collection of DVDs/Blu-Rays? Nah. We have a drawer but we usually stream everything.
How about music albums? Beebs collects vinyls!
Do you prefer to have your music on vinyls, tapes, CDs or digital? I prefer digital and Beebs likes vinyl.
When and where do you like to entertain yourself usually? Either the bed or the couch.
Do you ever binge watch shows? If so, what are you binging now? Usually! I’m sadly in between shows rn.
What kinds of books do you like to read, if any? I honestly don’t read anymore.
Is there a book series you're currently collecting? ..
Is entertainment something you prefer to enjoy alone or with someone else? I have my shows and then we have shows we watch together. So there’s a time and place for both!
Section 9 – Internet
Do you always have access to the Internet, wherever you go? If not, why? Yup!
Which website do you frequent the most? Website website? Google. App website? Instagram or TikTok.
Which search engine do you prefer and trust the most? Googs.
What do you use the Internet the most for? Social media or entertainment.
Do you judge people who have their phones out all the time? If so, why? Random people? None of my business. But if we’re spending time together and I’m trying to have a conversation with you and you're not paying attention to me because your nose is glued to your phone, I’m gonna be pissed.
If your connection goes down, what do you do? Go do something that’s not on the internet?
Is there something you wish you could do online that isn't possible yet? I still wish you could smell things through the internet.
Do you remember the first time you used the Internet? When was it? Yes! I believe the 2nd/3rd grade?
What was a website you used to frequent that doesn't exist anymore? I loved the Disney website with all the games.
Do/Did you ever have your own website? That was the thiiiing back in the day.
Isn't it great how much knowledge and info we have at our fingertips? It’s great but also overwhelming.
Section 10 – And finally...
What is something you consider to be highly controversial? Politics, apparently.
What kinds of jokes do you like the best? I love a good pun.
Is there a person who makes you laugh effortlessly? Oh definitely.
Which part of your body do you like the least? My eyes.
What's something random, out of context you remember from your past? I don’t do well with really vague questions.
Do you wear shoes indoors? No, I’m not a heathen.
What's the silliest thing you've worn on your body in public? I don’t think I usually wear silly things.
What's the most important thing in your life right now? Just spending time with my fam. Trying to get over this anxiety.
What is the most distant point on the planet that you've been from home? Florida.
Do you enjoy trivia games? If so, which one's your favourite? We love some Trivial Pursuit in this house!
Are you more logical or emotional? My emotions take over and then my logic brings it back in. Equal parts, baby.

HENRIK LILJENQUIST—
IG info/Bio: @/adventuresbyhenrik | 53.1k followers — “imma wild boi🌿🌏🧗 | happily taken👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨
23 (24) years old
Parents are both Swedish and only speak Swedish, leaving henrik to also become fluent
His father Halvi is a pilot
His mother Lova is a race car driver
Siblings? Probably a brother, named Jahan & younger by two or three years + they get along quite well
Born & raised in Isle of Wight, England + loves it there & thinks it’s the best place for him to live, it’s his own private island in his mind plus he’s always finding something to do. He stays active
Climbing & wilderness survival instructor, he gets to talk as much as he wants while also teaching people AND all while being active! Sounds like the perfect job for him
Probably developed ADHD around his pre-teen age, leaving his parents to find him something he enjoys + can slow down and focus on
used to be on meds for it
Was well-known in high school, probably in the yearbook club since he was able to run around & get to know people but was kinda shit at knowing the functions of a camera
His selfie game has gotten a lot better now but he mostly posts anything but his face. You’ll see more of his face on his stories & location shots on his feed
Feels his hair is his best physical feature & his prized possession, would never THINK about cutting it. Even just a trim is a bit much for him
Always tries to be positive but at the same time can be condescending since he sometimes won’t pick his words wisely ex.) when he gave MC a backhanded “compliment” about makeup, being active, + wanting them to “think of others ” feelings — just because someone is opposite from you doesn’t mean you have to shit on the way they carry themselves...that’s my issue with him
maybe he’s a Taurus?
Loves fall & spring, more so fall since that’s when the weather feels nicest to him plus allergy season is a REAL bitch
The guy’s real Adventurous & always managing to find something to do. If you’re ever bored just hit him up, he has plenty of recommendations
Family owns a cottage & he’s the one who goes out there more than his own family does! “You should just sell it to me at this point!” He tells his parents over dinner often & it is strongly considered
Has five birds & a husky, when he goes on road trips they’re always with him. Which can get a little hectic at times but they’re his family, he’s a, “birdog dad”
BLAKE secretly dislikes them all, feeling like they take up space sometimes (especially when she wants to cuddle) but she deals with it since she cares for the guy — yes, they’re still dating
She’s been convincing him to cut a few inches off of his hair which he took like a slap in the face, “that’s like me asking you to quit speaking up for humans!” “No, no it’s not.”
They’re polar opposites with flaws which causes disagreements between the two of them by putting each other in their places but they learn to compromise? (*insert eartha Kitt gif laughing here*] if they want this to work
His mother seems to be the only one who dislikes blake (she strongly feels he should have bought MC back home...that’s right she watched the show from time to time. Not always since she doesn’t care for reality tv but her friends encouraged her to watch bits and pieces) while his dad and brother approve
It is tense when Blake and his mom are in the same room which makes Henrik sad since he believes Blake deserves a chance. He took a chance on her and it seems to be going pretty well so why couldn’t his mother just be happy for him like the rest of the family is?
Henrik loves his low-maintenance girls who are open to trying new things with him, Blake is usually down most of the time but she likes her personal space too..which henrik struggles to understand
He wants her to live with him, he’s sure his parents will let him have the cottage if Blake decides to live with him but Blake loves her freedom in Kingston
It’s hidden but I feel like he might be one of those guys that feels like “a woman should follow a man” since that’s what his father installed into his boys— which failed because his wife isn’t just a housewife, she has goals and went after them
I feel like Blake turns to social media almost always to post about her feelings (I can’t remember what I picked the first time around as my occupation but as I’m currently playing I picked human rights campaigner so) but it’s mostly subtle shade & it always goes recognized by fans which brings drama between her, mc x Bobby
Henrik jumps in because what kind of guy would he be if he didn’t have his gf’s back? Doesn’t care for the drama but he & Bobby usually said slick shit to each other in the villa, it’s safe to say they’re not really friends but they’re not enemies either that’s mostly between their gf/wife
Henrik doesn’t care enough about Bobby to dislike him but he won’t put up with his shit any longer and what easier way to do that than online? He feels like they can settle this with a phone call but Blake & MC aren’t with the shits and don’t want their men speaking to each other
Henrik & Bobby eventually have a chat in secret anyways
Henrik warns Blake that this can effect her job status if she doesn’t calm down since she uses social media for her cause
She usually knows when to stop but can’t help it if it slips out sometimes
They talk it out and move on usually with whatever fun idea henrik may have
Owns a ford bronco from the 90’s that used to be his uncle’s who builds tree houses for a living and is still running, a jeep gladitor, or some sort of pickup truck
Knows how to make the best apricot jam
All about saving the bees
Loves animals, probably on his journey to veganism if he’s not already there
We all know this fucking guy likes eating M0sS
“Embarrassing fact” but uh big fan of twilight, feels like Seth Clearwater and him are meant to be best buds but he also stans the Volturi 😷
Him and Lucas of course remained the best of mates, since they live 2 hrs away from each other and are always busy living their lives they always have to plan out when they can hangout but that fails 60% of the time when henrik pops up at Lucas’ job or at his flat not giving him a choice but to hang out
They’re always vacationing together too? Sure Henrik is his own version of low-key while Lucas likes a bit of luxury...they still find a balance to just have a good time regardless if they live different lifestyles...they’re basically married
Always texting if they’re not hanging out, henrik with his memes that Lucas doesn’t understand & Lucas just checking in on henrik’s well being which leads the conversation to many topics
He’s actually cool with Gary now? They like/comment on each other’s posts & even text here and there
Even ran into Rocco once on a road trip, that was interesting but when life gives you lemons...we’ll just say that
Even him and Ibrahim share recommendations through text or DM’s which is nice! Henrik is always down for friends even tho they’re not like his personal friends (except for Lucas, he fits into his criteria)
Most of his work is physical and talking but he goes the extra mile by hiking every Sunday either with his friends, Blake, or family — he’s genuinely likes being one with nature
If he’s at the cottage, he’s always outside, chopping extra wood, making sure the yard looks like it belongs on a magazine, or takes the boat out on lake to nap since he doesn’t like to fish as much anymore
Currently trying to grow strawberries but some animal keeps eating them :/
Adores adventure time, the x-files, bobs burgers + animal planet, and travel channels—like he’s a real dad
If he could shower outside everyday, he would, it’s such a freeing experience to him
His outings consist of being in the woods 24/7 so in his mind when he brings Blake out there with him, it’s a version of a date, whenever they spend time together is a date to him, which she has to remind him that she wants to do something different like getting dressed up every now and then + go out to dinner which he HATES but he’ll do his best to please her, as long as the restaurant is more earthy than snobby he’s okay
100% would survive the apocalypse, he knows how to make due with what he’s got, he’s always been that way
Enjoys rom-com’s so he’ll laugh at how cringe they are but still enjoy it, indie films, ALITA was the best film of 2019 to him & currently his fav film is, “the call of the wild” with Harrison Ford
His favorite films ever are Indiana Jones, Lara Coft: Tomb raider, Terminator, and I am legend
Aliens ARE real, they’re out there and he’ll be part of the reason they’ve been exposed
I feel like he wanted to be an astronaut growing up but then realized he’d be a confined space for long periods of time and said cancel that shit lol + he isn’t the greatest at science. History? He did real well in that subject
I think he loves Lorde, listens to Bon Iver—especially on early morning commutes to work, Rex Orange County, Omar Apollo, Joji, the nbhd, the driver era, kid cudi...yktfv
Celeb crushes?/types: The main girls from Charlie’s angels 2019, Alexa PenaVega... “you know Carmen from spy kids?” Diana silvers, Dove Cameron, JAMIE CHUNG, & VANESSA HUDGENS
Anthem = Wallows, “OK”
