I’m probably going to schedule this to reblog a couple times (and pester my friends and mutuals to reblog it or my other such posts) as well as make this my pinned post across all my blogs! As said before, I’ve completely moved blogs, remade my discord account and changed usernames or remade accounts elsewhere as well (instagram and artfight being the main examples) so if you’ve had trouble finding my other social media accounts and you’d like to stay in touch or remain mutuals or friends then please message me for my new usernames! I’m aware that as I post more on my new accounts, especially the art one, that people will obvs know it’s me which is fine.

thank you to all my friends, mutuals and followers for having been with me in this blog for so many years, I’m going to miss my blog and all the silly memories and posts I made with y’all but I’m honestly far happier having moved than I thought I’d be, I feel far less suffocated and paranoid than I did here.

I owe the biggest apologies to my (ex)friends and followers for behaving immaturely many times and lashing out and hurting them, it was inexcusable and y’all didn’t deserve that and I’m genuinely so sorry. I don’t think any of you will even see this and I’m sorry for not apologizing personally but I don’t want to risk causing anyone discomfort reaching out to apologize to people who may not want to hear from me. I also obviously don’t expect anyone I hurt to accept my apology but you deserve one regardless. I’m glad that I met y’all and I hope you’ll all be well.

and lastly to the people who have caused me to move blogs in the first place, I doubt you’ll see this because I have y’all hard blocked but like the main reason i remade blogs is that I’m paranoid y’all are somehow still lurking so if you are and you try to find my new account or already have then you’re a lowlife and need to get a life and I honestly won’t forgive you for disregarding my privacy and comfort.

This is absolutely a scam!

I've seen the same message crop up from different URLs, and a quick search of the person's URL as well as the tag #donation scam to see if anyone is talking about them confirms that this person has remade their blog quite a few times already.

Folks on Tumblr are generally very charitable (a good thing usually) and asking for money has become common, so it's very easy to present a story of someone in distress and make it look legit. The unfortunate reality is that most people who don't just make donation posts but also further go into random people's inboxes are likely scammers. Or even if by some slim chance they're not, they're not effective by being too invasive and overstepping normal donation etiquette, so they need to be told no and not have their actions encouraged.

If you have any doubts, look carefully at their blog, and also search their URL or scam tags to see if anyone else is having the same problem with them. Some scammers, like this one, may fill their blog with a bunch of stuff---reblogs, likes, etc.---to make it look legit at first glance, but their archive will reflect that they are a very new blog and likely made the account solely for the scam. (For this blog, they liked/reblogged a bunch of stuff and made a donation post a couple of days ago on the 18th but have no previous blog history beyond that.)

Here are some (likely not a complete list) of the other URLs this particular scammer recently went under that I pulled from other people's complaint posts:

Don't click any links on these scam blogs, instead just report them by pressing: User Icon/Meatball Menu -> Report -> Something Else -> Illegal uses or Content -> Phishing

Stay vigilant and save any money you want to donate to causes you know will help people, such as donation posts from your friends or mutuals, Gaza eSIMs, or other verified relief for Palestine!

as i like to say, it's like lifting an anvil: it's very simple, but that doesn't mean it's easy. as someone who's a 12+ year veteran that lurked for a couple years and remade a little while ago, really it all comes down to putting yourself out there!!! don't just sit around twiddling your thumbs and lurking. it's tough to do it without coming off as a pandering tryhard, but honestly as long as you're polite, upbeat, and posting regularly, then you're golden.

if you want a big list of wordy bullet points, here's what i've got, and i think you'll find it's pretty applicable to basically any site/community you want to get involved in:

post a lot. this is number one with a fucking bullet! POST! POST LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. but crucially...

post GOOD STUFF. don't bash yourself in the caption/tags, don't say "sorry this is shit" or whatever, don't self-deprecate, and don't admit to posting low-effort stuff just to hit a quota. imagine it's open mic night and go crazy. this is a good site to use like a journal and a scrapbook, but if you want to actually get some traction, you need to bring something interesting to the table. of course, just being funny and nice goes a very long way.

encourage audience feedback. people LOVE to tell you about themselves and give their opinions. get them responding and make the questions and calls for engagement so interesting or fun they can't help themselves.

tag effectively. use both fandom/content tags for searches, and organizational tags for your visitors' use. the tagging system is tumblr's bread and butter, so make it work for you.

follow a lot of blogs you like. then see who they follow, and add those to the list. build a good circle of engagement and keep your finger on the pulse of the site culture for whatever niche(s) you're in... or want to get in.

reblog a lot and be funny/kind in the tags. generally leaving a lot of comments/replies to post is kind of hit-or-miss, but tags are a good harmless "inside voice" to use that doesn't clutter the post itself and yet still engages with op and people seeing the post

engage with people when they ask for engagement. things like polls, ask games, etc... scratch people's backs and they'll scratch yours. and it's just a nice thing to do regardless :)

panhandling is not always the best route. people will balk if you look desperate or openly beg for engagement, like directly asking people to reblog something or being passive-aggressive about how much engagement you are/aren't getting on something. a genuine joke about it is fun and relatable, but snarky comments just kill the vibe and scare people off.

REMEMBER THERE'S NO ALGORITHM. lurking will not put you or any of the stuff you like out there!! REBLOG POSTS! SEND ASKS! this site will NOT SPOON FEED YOU ANYTHING. like taming a wild stallion, you can make this work for you, but you have to put in the effort first.

some people will think you're annoying, and that's okay. probably not very many, but they'll be loud. this is an unavoidable part of Being Known. you can be the sweetest peach in the world but there'll still be people who just don't like peaches. don't take it to heart, and if you do happen to drop the ball or rub a few people the wrong way, don't let that keep you from trying again :)

i've enjoyed the many friends i've made on this site in the past decade-and-then-some, even though both this site and my blog are both something of a ship of theseus. here's hoping you can make it work for you and your interests, too!

To the current scammer pretending to have a Palestine family but using stolen images

Hi! You must be aware of my blog by this point, but I am publicly writing you a letter for anyone to see that will contain proof that you are just a scammer who is taking advantage of current events. You even remade here then you deleted when called out by someone you followed. There is a post here that shows all the evidence that you stole images.

I surely don’t see why you are still using the images. You stole them off Facebook. You keep claiming for safety reasons that you don’t want anyone now sharing your posts but the posts contain content that isn’t yours and never has been yours. Please just stop. Stop. Stop using the images that you’ve decided is your family.

Stop pretending that the family is in Palestine. They are not. They are in America and in an American hospital. You should know this since you stole the pics from Facebook. Someone even knows the person your stealing from further proving you took them off Facebook! I don’t know why you’ve decide that this kind of situation is worth taking advantage of but I assume it’s because you made $100 so far off it and you really don’t want to give it back to whoever sent it so you keep trying to make more.

Additionally, if you are really Laura Deramas, haven’t you already took enough off tumblr from past lies? She stole about $13k (or even $15k!) from the people who thought she needed the money until in time they found out the truth about her and then she began denying the accusations once I compiled them and also made a post here showing the testimonials of those she personally took advantage of. Even if this new scammer isn’t her, it has to be someone who knows her or has seen how she scammed people.

Either way, please cease using the images you’ve stolen. They are not what you claim and the source is shown so much that you are aware of it and yet your still using them or have them saved. Delete them. They aren’t your pictures.

And if your family is really in Palestine (outside of the stolen images) and needing help, by all means there is legitimate methods to getting the support they need that isn’t this. You are hurting those who really need the funds instead by stealing images off someone else and saying it’s your family. There is better ways to get the money they might need that isn’t scamming people out of it.

Your love for things is what I love about following you though! Because I’m here to enjoy things too! So for what it’s worth, I think your blog is pretty cool, and at least if it’s not then we’re uncool together. And now that I think about it, isn’t that the point of fandom? Being ‘uncool’ together? 😂

High five for another uncool person! I admit, I sometimes desperately want to get in with other fans who are writing things that hit me in the metaphorical solar plexus because they're so sharp and have such delicious bite and they're incredibly cool, even when I suspect they would probably find me deeply annoying, but that ultimately I also very much admire people who embrace being silly and goofy and flailing around a lot, because I love those people, too. I pine wistfully sometimes, but then get over it, because I know that if I remade myself into being 'cool', I would only stare even more wistfully over at the people being silly and just having a silly good time. And I want to cozy up to people like you as well, who are so sweet to reach out like this, like I want to talk to people about silly things, I don't want to be intimidating (well, okay, maybe a little, it might be nice for five minutes, but ultimately, no, I want people to feel they can approach me and talk to me genuinely), so I'm just kind of settling in the middle with "acknowledge my genuine desire to be cool, but that it's a temporary want, and the home I really want to make is in the silly goober camp, and then make fun of myself a little in a silly shitpost to get it out of my system". And you are so right! It's not that the cool people don't openly love things as well, they do! But often times they're not as goofy about it (and I find that admirable, none of this is about saying any way of behavior is more right or wrong than any other way!) and they're having fun in fandom in their own way and, who knows, I have met so many genuinely cool people like this that do like me back! I'm just up in my own head sometimes (Star Wars fandom did a number on me), but also I want to agree so wholeheartedly with your ultimate point: It's okay to be uncool in fandom, like we're nerds on the internet, we're watching/reading often very silly stories and there's nothing wrong with embracing that. We can take them seriously, there's a lot of genuinely thoughtful and depthful things to discuss here! But it's also okay to be silly and goofy and sometimes I need the reminder that others are happy to be here with me, too. <3 (Can you tell I'm avoiding cleaning? I have drafted so many character ask game responses to schedule for tomorrow to spread them out a bit, because I really don't want to have to go organize the bathroom. orz)

actually i was thinking about this earlier, im now in the same follower range as my old blog was when i remade but this time im far more happier with the mutuals and especially following i cultivated. even when i got big surges when sybil shaft exploded all the followers were just normal people and have been treating me and my girl normal, and for that i am truyl deeply thankful for. im having fun online, im having fun posting my art and im happy it makes other people happy. sybil getting a mindblowing amount of notes regularly is, well, mindblowing but it's not because number go up but because people go out of their way to tell me how they like my work and my girlie. that isnt to say i dont care about likes or reblogs, im happy about it all. but nice words in tags, in messages, in asks or seeing it in random posts are very dear to me. and it goes without saying but anyone who has ever financially supported me, i owe you the world. no matter how big or small it always went to stuff i really needed. thank you

i decided that having strict rules was boring, and i want to branch out into the helluva rpc, so i’ve gotten rid of my “won’t follow if” that aren’t related to my accessibility ( being unable to read your blog, your carrd, or google docs ). that said, i will still be very selective with who i follow, and will simply block those who do make me uncomfortable and blacklist urls. i want this blog to be fun and chill!

tl:dr: hell is sentient and loves charlie. it speaks to charlie in their mind, and only to charlie. while searching for a way to stop the exterminations, after being ignored by heaven, they attempt to combine their power with hell’s. it goes bad! the power is too much for their body to handle, and they must either stop the attempt or give up their body to combine their consciousness with hell’s if they want to be powerful enough to take on all of heaven. charlie decides it’s worth it. hell decides it is not. their body is damaged and changed by the experience, so much so that charlie no longer feels like charlie. they change their name to harlot, and start writing songs to get out their feelings. they feel more like the antichrist than ever before, meant to destroy heaven and set the rise of hell. so they sing about it, drink about it, and be wild about it. their reputation turns from the naive, too kind for their own good prince to the ANTICHRIST, a performer rivaling lilith’s influence that parties nightly and overdoses often enough to end up in the hospital. the latter is just an excuse to visit the hospitals they run often.  eventually (second verse) they set up a hotel for those that need it, curious if redemption is even possible, or if anyone would even want to try and be redeemed. most of the occupants are simply demons who need a place to stay.

even if you've read the tldr, i still HIGHLY encourage you to read the full doc about harlot's backstory before interacting with me. i have a lot of hcs mixed into my lore, and this is not charlie.

hey isa, I just need some advice..

I feel the interaction with my blog got less. There are zero reblogs, no comments and barely notes. I know, it's all about the fun but you can't tell me that you suddenly start to overthink if you did something wrong. Isn't my content pretty anymore? I don't know what it is. At first I thought simblr is just less active than usual, but then I see the people on my dashboard and their interaction/reblogs/notes are just fine as usual. Normally I'm the person that says "I don't care it's my blog I post for fun". But not even getting half of the notes I used to have, getting ZERO (that hits hard) reblogs.. Even if I post other games, no one likes it. It may sound so silly but i'm frustrated rn and I don't wanna be ;-;

hi anon! i’m so sorry you’re feeling a bit frustrated right now. it’s completely normal and valid to want interaction in a community. yeah, we all post for fun but we also post to have a connection with others, and when we don’t get that it can be discouraging or lonely!

i’m not entirely sure what could be causing your slow down in interaction, my first thought was, simblr is a bit slow right now. i myself have even been struggling to keep up with everyone i’m following! but i’m also wondering if maybe you could be shadow banned? maybe this link here could be helpful for you to figure out if that is going on. if that’s not the case, then i don’t have much else advice other than continue to tag your posts, continue to interact with others and keep trying. i know some people have remade their blogs when this has happened, and having a fresh start helped them feel integrated with the community again. so if it gets to a point where if feels like nothings working, that could also help, maybe. i’m so sorry i can’t be more helpful :( but i’m wishing you luck friend, i hope that you feel less discouraged as time goes on. <3

I'm so mad shit like this made us lose a great woman and ally. They just came in and decided obviously anything asking for basic respect is instead evil and homophobic. There was no reason to assume it was about wanting to invade lesbian spaces specifically that was such an asspull, it was obviously about LGB spaces as a whole. They're not bi so I don't expect them to get it but no, "everywhere else is a you-friendly space" is just not true for bi women. They always want to equate how we're identical to het women and then say we're being homophobic if we don't agree. that post speaks to me so much because when i dated a man i lost so much of my support network. its about how people, and other bi women too, dehumanize us and see us as 'ruined', call us nasty names behind our back, and encourage other people to also dehumanize us on threat of ostracizing them too. and i was lucky, i've seen bi women who were abused by homophobes who then had it much worse, with people even supporting their het abusers, or attacking them at LGB support groups. One woman I met wasn't even dating the man that SAd her but people still said she had no place in LGB groups.

No I have no idea :( though I agree I thought she was great. (though tbh even if I did know if she'd remade, I wouldn't out someone unless I explicitly knew they were trying to find old followers. Psst people sending me asks about other tumblr users - this is why I haven't responded, sorry). And yeah oh god, I remember this shit. I'm so sorry to hear about your experiences. Unfortunately I've heard a lot of things like that. I experienced something very similar, with a lot of my friends ditching me very quickly when I figured out it was bi. It was definitely hurtful, isolating, and set me up for a lot of bad relationships (ironically mostly with older men, since I was suddenly frozen out from most social gatherings on campus). I've unfortunately heard from a staggering amount of bi people at this point on similar things, especially about being treated badly by LGB groups after being assaulted or abused in some way. I've mentioned this repeatedly on this blog, but it baffles me how biphobia seems to intensify whenever bisexuals are victimized by heterosexuals, as if being shown that we DO experience homophobia makes them angry? On the micro level, if people find bisexuality so abhorrent for whatever reason, it's not like we can force them to be better friends/people, and there's no amount of messages like this that'll make those people act any different. They're proud of how they treat bisexuals just like those people are proud to read malicious intent in even the mildest pleas for respect or civility. On the macro level it's like... yeah we do need to challenge this notion that we become immune to past, present, and future homophobia the second we're in an other-sex relationship and therefore it's okay to treat us exactly like heterosexuals. I don't know why they think people that were homophobic to us will suddenly treat us well, or that we won't face homophobia in the future. For the millionth time, it's really extra nasty to say this about bi women considering how often they are abused by their male partners. But that of course is discounted (despite it being directly addressed in the third post), this is obviously a nasty evil plot by bihets to pretend to be oppressed. And yeah it's funny how they always end up comparing us to heterosexuals and insisting we're just as widely beloved and supported as they are. It's pathetically transparent since something as simple as "don't treat bi women as extensions of men" seems to cause so much indignation.

i find it wild but also kind of great that you and luna are such close friends despite writing fics the other wouldn’t be interested in or having fics with a turn-off for the other in them - and it doesn’t impact your friendship at all. it SHOULDNT impact your friendship, but on tumblr it seems like people who write fics can only be friends with other people who write the exact same type of fic. and i dunno it’s just refreshing to see one or both of you intensely dislike the type of fic the other puts out, but you’re both still so obvious with your affection (friendship? i mean affection in a friendship way) to each other.

sorry i know this is probably rambling and useless but i thought it was really sweet and also a really good example of a healthy online friendship. you two are different people and you don’t have to have the same opinions on the same things without it devolving into messy tumblr drama or fights and i think more people should follow you two’s example

like yeah when me and Luna first met, it was specifically bonding over the same fandom and the same type of fanfiction - it was when I wrote a shitton of kpop rpf (and I do still listen to kpop, but I am not as into the fandom now)

and I definitely agree. you don't have to like 100% of the same things all the time in order to be friends with someone. you can just care about them as a person (and I care about her a whole lot and I want her to be happy and do well in life <3)
