Spider crab's name is just a place holder for now, much like a lot of the crew has.. I want to give them all proper names at some point. Like Ellie and Louis have.. But I'm just really bad at coming up with names for stuff- <XD 💔💔

For Luigi- no one in particular! I just wanted to draw him with that expression <XD And don't worry, Mario cheered him up in the end :}}

As for the FNAF doodle, thats Foxy, Roxy and Mangle! I get that its hard to recognize her by her side profile and without color though-- <XD I had experimented with some ideas of a pirate themed Glamrock Mangle being added to one of the AUs. Though that sketch was the only one I really liked. :/

I have seen Encanto! :D It was alright, I liked the living house aspect of it :00

As for Red, I thiiink he might be too young to understand fusion or how to do it.. I pictured him being.. like what, five? Or something? That's like half the age of when Steven first learned to fuse-

That, and it felt a little odd for him to fuse with any of the crew, since they're all so much older than him. :/

He could block any oncoming attacks with his unbreakable claw arm, then whip around and launch whole watermelons and pies with the other XDD He would probably think it was fun too!

I always kind'a felt like a certain.. gloomy-ness, would be fitting for him. He already has some of that in the game. But with everything my Freddy's been through.. just.. having this weight to his tone. This lingering exhaustion.. I felt like it would suit him. :(

Hmm... I imagine that Seam and Jevil would be options.. Maybe in bad cases Calico Jack would.. Almost everyone in FNAF is an option <XD

No.. in a sad twist of fate, no one ever heard his cries in the dungeon. Imagine how much more lonely he felt becuase of that..

I don't know if he gets phantom pains from getting beat up.. but I imagine his horn stumps give him some aches and soreness that can be attributed to phantom pain.. :(

Ah yes! The idea behind that was to show the initial divide between Grillby and Spamton.

You see, Spamton hails Jevil as his savior of sorts. He was at his lowest low, and in unimaginable pain.. then Jevil just swoops in and offers his hand. Bringing him outside of his AU. Away from the pain, away from the torment.. Jevil is awesome!!

But then you've got Grillby.. Jevil saved him from his AU right before it collapsed in on itself. He "saved" his life, but at what cost? Grillby lost everything. And he cant help but be angry at Jevil for it. Thinking that if Jevil hadn't been there, he could have just peacefully disappeared along with his family and everyone else in his AU..

So Spamton is endlessly respectful towards Jevil, and Grillby cant help but roll his eyes and spit sass at him all the time. Those two opposing views are bound to cause problems someday..

I imagine one day the whole group is tired and cranky. Jevil did something that Grillby didn't agree with. Some bitter remarks there, Spamton defending Jevil's decision here.. some back and fourth and next thing you know a fight breaks out. :x

I pictured Yendo being another one of Funtime Foxy's nightmare-ish visions. Though I should consider passing that onto Bon Bon.. 👀

The story goes that Funtime Freddy is a frequent flyer in parts and service. The employees groan that there's always something wrong with Freddy that needs fixing. Nobody really knows why..

Now at some point Freddy was shut down and in parts and service. As per usual.. Foxy was nearby, and heard a sudden thud/crash coming from that room. He rushes inside to see what happened and finds Funtime Freddy on the floor, what ever he was propped up on had broken, causing him to fall.

He looked at Freddy's face.. and.. his face plates were wide open..

Foxy. freaked. out. If I remember correctly, he was supposed to start shouting and panicking. Trying to help Freddy, thinking he was hurt. When he couldn't move Freddy and he wouldn't wake up, Foxy ran out of the room to get help. He runs into some employees and tried to tell them what happened. They end up just forcibly shutting him down because he cant stop freaking out..

Later on he's reactivated and the rest of the gang is with him. Including Freddy. He uncharacteristically runs to Freddy all worried and frantically inspects his face for injuries. They ask him what he saw but he just.. doesn't have the words to describe it.

Part of the horror is Foxy's inability to understand what he saw. Therefore being terrified of it and being unable to describe it..

After that Foxy began to develop these hallucinations of sorts. Overtime the image of Freddy's skinned face kind'a turns in to its own nightmare. Yendo.. overtime it feels more like "Yendo" is an entity separate from Freddy. Foxy begins to imagine this skinned bear like creature that is out there somewhere.. wanting to hurt Freddy and take his face.. its not fun :(

This idea is still in development. Well, the whole AU is. But this was my initial idea for Yendo :)

Now old man consequences is tricky.. I had intentions of him being this weird vison that Foxy sees now and again. But with recent developments to the AU.. I might need to scrap the old gator. Or at least re-write his role and function in the AU-

And as for the question, I pictured that Mario never really liked the ice flower to begin with. I imagined Mario loving the heat and the sun. Always enjoyed being warm/hot and functions the best in it.. You know like a maniac-

So the Fire flower was naturally his favorite powerup. And that experience did leave Mario with some kind of trauma, which just added to his dislike of it..

(2/4 sorry realized dazais was super long split it into two its 4 parts now) ur sooooooo right about dazai and this scenario SO right the fucking bastard probably does this to randoms for fun on the weekends. sidenote im going with mafia dazai for this just cuz he has more room to be Evil and i also dont think kunikida would allow ANY of these antics if he was there. warning hes gonna be SUUUPER mean i kinda softboy-ed aku but i cant bring myself to do the same to dazai </3

darling is just some civilian with ties to an enemy syndicate or works somewhere they need access to as an average employee with a convenient amount of security clearance, no one really that special on paper, and he’s pissed. he’s stuck with some no-name loser for the foreseeable future? how demeaning. this work is so beneath him as an executive, can’t he make one of his subordinates do it?

he’s amazing at the flirty coworker persona, and even BETTER at the loving boyfriend schtick. scarily so, when you consider that he spends a lot of his downtime thinking about how much you bore him and he cant wait to get rid of you. similar to what he does to chuuya in wan, every perceived slight you commit against him is put down to paper so he can get his appropriate vengeance when the time comes. you hummed and it got on his nerves, he’ll be sure to break your jaw. you touched his hand today, for that he’ll rip your fingernails off one by one. stuff like that.

he starts to warm up to you as time goes on. the surefire way to dazai’s heart is to give him unselfish care. something as small as packing him something for lunch since he only eats crab out of a can; to something as big as nursing him through a drug or alcohol induced stupor after one of his many attempts on his own life. he wakes up the next morning clean, comfortable, and with a very minimal headache due to the cold washcloth you put on his head. why did you bother doing that?

yea i don't think ada dazai could do half these things and get away with it either so we'll stick to pm dazai!! i do have a question tho, can you find crab in a can? is it edible?? it sounds strange to me i only eat tuna (lol) out of a can...lol this got much longer than i planned for, sorry in advance!!

ask continued: (3/4) good news: he’s attached now! at the hip! hes a little obvious, really. dazais always flirty, but now hes CLINGY. and JEALOUS. he seemed so Above being affectionate or possessive of you, before. much too self-confident, you supposed. but now you’re lucky if you can manage to get out of bed without having to escape the IRONCLAD GRIP hes got you in, and do NOT even get me STARTED on how he reacts to ANYONE so much as looking at you! you’re his! his his his his HIS! you both love each other, so you belong to one another! simple as that!

bad news: you have recently figured out that you shouldve been scared of him. of course, you find his little notebook, and something inside of you is SCREAMING at you to read it, and what you find shatters your view of him forever. you brushed off the really weird vibe you got from him initially, cuz he was so nice! attentive! you never really got attention like that from anyone before, it was all too easy for him to get you caught up. stupid stupid stupid.

worse news: he notices, when you start to pull away from him. you’re making excuses not to see him, not to sleep in the same bed as him. you get all stiff when he gets too close to you, and you wont kiss him back. doesnt take him long to figure out what happened. takes him even less time to come up with a plan to make sure you cant run away from him. don’t be scared, he loves you so much! he’ll show you how sorry he is for saying all those mean things!

it's not like dazai was new to the whole leech-out-information-from-an-unsuspecting-victim-and-kill-them-after routine, but he definitely didn't like this part of his job. it's so terribly boring as compared to his go-to way of getting information (interrogations! torture! shorter and less effort needed!) it takes too much effort to make sure his target likes him enough to lower their guard around him and spoonfeed him the information he needs. it takes even longer to safely send back acquired information to the pm without anyone suspecting him to be the mole, and usually these missions take months if not years. he doesn't want to invest to much time in something like this, especially when he knows his target is the most boring person to walk upon this planet.

if he was assigned to the leader of some crime syndicate, or maybe the secret mastermind behind a revolution, or even a top-level military agent, he might find the thrill somewhat entertaining. after all, there's something quite wonderful in wrapping an untouchable person around his finger.

but you...

you were painfully ordinary. he understood why it had to be you, a somewhat 'regular' member of the ability group, trusted enough to have access to information that would be useful, but not too high up in the ranks. not to mention, you would eventually be moved up and allowed access into even more highly guarded secrets. if he didn't get to you now, he might never get you at all. if you were too important you'd never trust anyone, and you'd be too paranoid to let slip even seemingly unimportant details. it had to be you, and now.

and he was good at his job. he was charming but not suspiciously so, and not so well known that he would be identified. still, as he watched you before his infiltration had officially started, he realized that you were a fool. too trusting, too smiling, and far too friendly. even akutagawa would have been suited for this job, you wouldn't have suspected a thing. maybe you'd even like the whole grumbling outcast thing he had going on. but no matter how much he whined or complained or groaned, nothing was done about it. he was stuck with you until he finished the mission.

it was probably his hatred towards you that caused him to act so recklessly, and moving the relationship so quickly—from strangers to moving in together within a month. it wasn't hard to have you eating right out of his hand, with some saccharine smiles and soft looks, gentle stroking and—you practically had stars in your eyes. what a fool, he thought, ignoring how the softening of his eyes when you cheerfully ran into his arms happened somewhat naturally. you must have been desperate if you so eagerly accepted his sudden advances.

he still hated you, of course. he recorded your wrongdoings so he could unleash his fury later, when you were no longer of use. that time you ran your fingers through his hair, he swore to break each and every bone in your hand. and when you dragged him out on dates he planned out the appropriate punishment, same as when you touched him or kissed him or smiled up at him with so much warmth it made him sick—you made him sick, and you'd pay for that, eventually.

surprisingly, despite his overall sleazy and cruel demeanor—he never paid for dates (even though he was given the funds), and never bought you presents after the third one. he never initiated any physical affection, and straight up ignored your calls sometimes—after you were officially dating you still seemed to like him. you probably idolized him, after being starved of affection for so long. any crumb of affection he gave you, whether it was a fake smile or a stiff pat, you'd eagerly eat up. it was so pathetic he almost felt bad for you. even know, this relationship wasn't real, but you were a fool who thought you found love. not like this arrangement was anything you should be mourning.

were you hoping he'd turn back to the charming guy you met all those weeks ago? did you really have no clue that you fell in love with a lie? or maybe, you just couldn't comprehend someone using you. after all, you weren't very wealthy or connected to anyone influential. all you had was your job, and that was meaningless to most people. perhaps you thought he was most people, because it was so easy to get things out of you. at night, when the two of you were awkwardly lying down in bed, he just had to roll over, throw an arm around you and whisper into your ear, asking about your day. and then everything came pouring out. you weren't so stupid as to directly admit you worked for an ability organization, but the details were still correct. you'd tell him about the planning you had to do for a company event nearby, and just as you said, a week later the group he was targeting was there for something. it was so easy, now, to intercept all their plans. you were annoying but...somewhat useful.

and then...it happened.

dazai didn't realize there had been a last-minute change in plans. your group had come onto the meeting spot earlier than you had said they would be, and he was caught red-handed inside the building. to his surprise, you, without even stopping to consider his intentions, immediately shot up to defend him, excusing him saying that he probably just stopped by to visit you. your coworkers relaxed and slowly agreed. they, too, thought dazai didn't know about the 'company' you worked for, and thought he was just being a considerate boyfriend. it couldn't be farther from the truth, but he didn't care what they thought.

you saved him.

and it wasn't the only time, either. there were the times you've nursed him back to health after yet another one of his stupid stunts, the times you've waited hours for him to turn up for a date, complaining but never actually mad, the times you've made him something to eat, knowing he didn't care much about eating healthy. it infuriated him how genuinely selfless you were, even to an asshole like him.

you cared about him, like you cared for everyone else in your life, even though he knew he didn't deserve it. it was so nice, though, as much as he hated admitting it, to be cared for. to be looked after and loved genuinely despite his shortcomings. sometimes he wondered if you'd only love him more if he cleaned up his act. the more you smiled at him and gently nudged him awake and asked him if he ate and showed him things you thought he'd like, the more he realized he was getting a little attached to you.

and then, he came to a decision.

you were far too nice to him for him to just leave you to die after this mission. and you were far too kind to have such a terrible boyfriend. he could at least try to completely win you over now before you inevitably found out about his true intentions and then, you'd really hate him since he would have killed your friends. he decided you would stay with him, regardless of how the mission went.

he probably should have considered your confusion when your usually aloof boyfriend suddenly became a completely new person. you'd wake up and get ready to leave when an arm suddenly wraps around you and dazai whines at you about not leaving. whines! the same man who'd rarely say a word to you until breakfast was acting so...clingy all of a sudden, though you'd be lying if you said you hated it. suddenly your days were filled with constant kissing and an arm always around you, dazai showing up at your workplace more often to grab lunch with you and boldly flirting with you. sure, there was something quite terrifying about the way he glared at your coworkers, his eyes so blank it was eerie, but you forgot all about it once he snuggled into your neck and placed a kiss on your collarbone.

and then there was his insistence that you were being overworked when he normally wouldn't have cared what time you came home, as long as you did come home, going so far as to contacting your boss to demand you get more time off. of course, everyone laughed it off as your boyfriend simply being concerned for your health and your boss complied, shortening your hours and granting you a long overdue break. your life was just so perfect now. and to think you were worried about him wanting to break up. whenever you asked dazai why he was suddenly so expressive, however, he would only give you a vague answer about realizing it was unfair of him to let out his anger by treating you coldly and wanting to fix things. because, as he said so often, he loved you.

"nobody could love you as much as i do," he would say, "seriously, i think i could die in my love for you. you're everything to me and i love you so much."

maybe you should have noticed how...intense his feelings were then,

it all came crashing down one day when you saw a text on his phone—someone asking him to gather more information about the ability users in the group you were in. he wasn't supposed to know about that, and by the looks of it, he had been using you to steal intel the entire time. though you felt stupid now, you were more concerned about how you could put an end to it now, especially because you were in so deep with him. at least a while back you could have quickly ended things with him using the reason of being a terrible partner, but now, it would only raise suspicion with him and your coworkers. how were you to explain your boyfriend had been spying on you the entire time to anyone? what would they do to you, and worse yet, what was he planning to do to you once he had no use for you?

the only logical thing to do, in your eyes, was to slowly drift away and eventually break things off with him. his only source of information would be closed then, and you would be safe. the problem was, it was pretty much impossible to leave him. he was always by your side, held you tight as you slept, dropped you off at work and even knew all your friends. how were you supposed to explain to anyone that your boyfriend was going to kill you once he destroyed your group?

as you already figured out, dazai wasn't stupid. it was about time you found out, but now his plans had changed. no more killing you. he could keep you with him permanently now, after forcing you to quit. he didn't need your help anymore for the next part of the plan, which only required him to eradicate the group since they weren't willing to comply to the port mafia's demands. it wasn't like he expected you to sit down and hear him out after finding out he was sort of using you all along, but still, it hurt when you scowled at him and screamed at him. oh well. he could figure it out.

as he smiled down at your bound figure, your eyes wide at the blood soaking his coat, realizing what he had just done, he decided he would stop at nothing to convince you of how much he loved you.

really, he wouldn't trade this for the world.

Anime-Manga Comparisons, the dreaded episode 8

They actually don’t have a bunch of mannequins in the manga, just the one with one swimsuit, but Honey still suggests the one he chose in the anime, so it’s kind of confusing. Also the two piece in the manga has polka dots. Super cute. Kyoya offers to float her a loan, and the twins straight up say she has no breasts, as opposed to calling her flat. Manga also reveals she wears a sports bra, instead of the vest she wears in the anime. I’m not sure we ever actually see this manga.

Another tragic cut is one of my favourite Kyoya lines of all time when baseball Tamaki hits the twins into the distance, and Kyoya questions where his youth has gone that he has three children at age seventeen. I demand a reboot once again.

Of course, the biggest thing they removed from the anime is the fact that the beach they’re on is actually owned by the Nekozawa’s, and he’s even there with them! He’s a pretty cool dude, I wish they’d hung out with him more often, because it seems like their two clubs are actually really close. They also don’t show the huge cat rock.

The shellfish hunting in the anime is actually just collecting seashells in the manga, and when Kaoru gives her a scallop all the other hosts jump in to hand her other shells, which is just *insert relevant emoji here* They really do adore her, don’t they? Unfortunately, Tamaki doesn’t make his ‘crabtivating’ joke. I’m honestly shell shocked. I’m crabsolutely devastated. Third pun.

In the manga the twins actually call out Tamaki for using the family dynamic as some sort of defense mechanism, but he immediately gets distracted by a snake and that’s kind of it. Also the girls witness the entire attack, almost drowning, and rescue, which honestly makes Tamaki the coolest at that moment. Also Haruhi hits her head and starts bleeding, ouch.

In Nekozawa’s family mansion (the anime could have at least mentioned it!) the guys all play a cursed boardgame where every single square they land on is a bad one, the others are all vague and might not come true, but Tamaki’s is literally saying a friend hates him, lol. Nekozawa returns to tease Tamaki about liking white sundresses and plays the board game along with them, while freak of a man Kyoya says that not being charged puts a weight on his heart, and Nekozawa has more shenanigans until Haruhi turns on the lights and scares him. Her dress is the same in both, but the manga seems to always do cute patterns on everything.

While they fawn over how adorable she is and the twins coddle her, Tamaki gets a bloody nose and Honey karate chops his neck to stop the bleeding. It doesn’t work and he bleeds even worse, the dirty pervert.

Nekozawa abandons the others because they suck hardcore (the lights hurt him) and the others go for dinner, which is actually the fabled Fancy Tuna that I don’t think she ever gets to eat in the anime. And she doesn’t get to eat it here because Tamaki is awful and eats it all. She gets her own back by offering an empty crab leg and then trying to stab him with it, though.

Instead of Tamaki asking Kyoya to lead him to his room because it’s Kyoya’s place, instead he asks Kyoya to come with him because the hallways are dark and scary and he’s a big wimp. Also Mori lifts up Haru again to rush her to the bathroom, where they run into Nekozawa without his cloak. He’s so pretty!

Speaking of pretty… the upcoming scene isn’t that at all! But Kyoya is, isn’t he? Haruhi doesn’t even recognise him without his glasses on, the silly girl.

Thankfully the two scenes are really similar, so there aren’t any differences, and therefore I’m free to avoid talking about this scene for another day. Hooray! The only major difference is that Kyoya laughs harder in the manga, less attractive chuckle and more goofy giggle. Also Tamaki straight up calls Kyoya a bastard in the anime.

The lightning scene is the same, except that instead of Tamaki opening the closet Haruhi does it herself and then hits him in the face with the door. The poor pervert.

Disclaimer: This is a fan translation. I apologize for any mistakes. I’m by no means fluent in Japanese, but I try my best. Please, support the official translation when it comes out.

Uninhabited Island - Beach

Azul: “Everyone.”

Azul: “How about making a deal to help us out of here?”

Riddle: “What do you mean?”

Floyd: “So dense. Why do you believe Azul and I would be in trouble if we came to an uninhabited island?”

Ace: “Ah!? They’re both mermaids…!”

Floyd: “Right. It’s not a big deal to dive into the ocean, and swim to other land.”

Floyd: “That’s why we don’t have any troubles.”

Floyd: “But, what about you guys? If you can’t leave the uninhabited island like this…it’d be a real problem, right?”

Ace: “Greedy~~~! This is extortion!”

Jack: “You’re threatening us even during such an emergency!”

Azul: “You threaten me. I’m just asking ‘What can I do to help?’.”

Azul: “Well, depending on that response, it might be too late to call for help…”

Floyd: “We’re saving your life, so we have to get a reasonable price. Are you going to be our servants for the rest of your life?”

Azul: “No, I’m not a demon, either. Taking into account the situation…”

Azul: “I’ll make a deal with you, ‘When you return to school, you’ll do whatever I say for a week’.”

Floyd: “Wow, Azul is super generous~. That’s such a great deal.”

Jack: “YOU’RE NOT GENEROUS AT ALL!”

Ace: “But, there’s no other choice… If all we have to do is whatever he says for a week, it’s certainly an exceptional condition…”

Riddle: “Ugh…we’re completely in the palm of their hands. It’s frustrating…..I don’t want to nod!”

Lilia: “I don’t mind either way. What will you do, Yuu?”

Yuu:

“I want to go back to school.”

Grim: “Certainly…if I really can’t leave this uninhabited island, I won’t be able to eat tuna cans anymore!”

“I can manage on my own…”

Ace: “…Hey, hey, you’re warming up? Are you planning on swimming to find land!?”

Jack: “Think about it, you can’t do it! Even Grim knows it’s impossible!”

Grim: “Did you just make a fool of me!?”

Grim: “Guh……Alright! I promise to listen to you! So, hurry up and call for help!”

Floyd: “Aha. Everyone is so honest and good children.”

Floyd: “Then, I’ll revert back to a mermaid and swim. For the coconut crabs who can barely swim♡.”

Riddle: “Who’s a coconut crab? Stop looking so smug!”

Lilia: “Still, the power of mermaids is certainly reliable in the sea. They’ll find land in no time, and come back.”

Azul: “Right. I’ll bring help, so please relax.”

Floyd: “Then, we’re going.”

*SPLASH*

Lilia: “Now then. Those two dived into the sea, and we’re a glowing beach flag…” (T/N: I’m going to assume that Lilia means they’re all wearing bright colors, and can be easily seen. I spent like five minutes staring at the words “beach flag” unsure of what he meant.)

*Splash*

Lilia: “Hm?”

Grim: “Huh, Azul and Floyd are back.”

Ace: “Eh, isn’t it too soon to find land…wait, you two haven’t turned into mermaids.”

Jack: “What happened? You have scary faces.”

Azul: “…I can’t go back.”

Ace: “Huh? Go back? What do you mean?”

Azul: “I’M SAYING I CAN’T GO BACK INTO A MERMAID!”

Everyone: “HUH!?”

Floyd: “Something’s wrong with this outfit…it sticks to my body, and I can’t take it off.”

Floyd: “I thought these were just cool clothes, but maybe they have magic.”

Floyd: “Because of that, I can’t turn into a mermaid. Ahahaha, what a strange thing~.”

Floyd: “It's refreshing to swim in human form. I thought a uninhabited island would be easy and boring, but it might be interesting!”

Lilia: “Right, right! An uninhabited island in extreme conditions is fun. There’s no time to be bored.”

Lilia: “That’s right……should we prepare a campfire first?”

Floyd: “I like it~. Seems interesting.”

Azul: “THIS ISN’T FUNNY AT ALL!”

Azul: “The phones have no signal. The sky is no good, the sea is no good. This is an uninhabited island with no people. So then……”

Riddle: “…Do you mean that we’ve completely lost any form to seek help from the outside world?”

Everyone: “…………”

Ace: “Huh? No, no, that……eh?”

Ace: “We really can’t leave this island?”

Ace: “………You’re kidding, right?”

Jack: “T-There could be other ways!”

Jack: “It’s useless to fly high, but maybe low at sea level, we might be able to escape.”

Riddle: “Of course. We shouldn’t give up so easily. Okay, let’s keep on trying.”

Azul: “T-That’s right.”

Azul: “This is no problem at all. I’m sure we’ll find a way to escape this island soon.”

Grim: “I’ll also look for a way to escape!”

Oh fun!! No I don't think I've ever talked about my mermaid DR here!

A few notes just for reference; this DR was heavily inspired by Barbie Mermaidia and the actual environment plus what we looked like was basically a direct ripoff from that. Humans exist there and they've always known about merpeople - we're pretty well integrated actually. Pollution doesn't exist and the oceans are pretty clean! Merpeople breathe oxygen (we actually have gills!) so we can be out of water but not for too long or we do risk "drying out" (aka dying). Houses were usually completely underwater but there were a lot of homes with an upstairs out of water that you could swim up to.

Hm... iirc, I think I spent about four-ish years? I remember when I first shifted there I was 15 and when I left I was 19! So... I'm not sure about the specific time spent, but it was around four years.

So in my DR, merpeople spoke whatever human language they were around and specific merpeople languages! We had a "general" language that basically everyone spoke and then a lot of regional differences, some more intense than others. Also I'm sorry for being boring but the general language was literally just called Shui. I don't know why my mind did me like that 😐

Cuisine differed from area to area but most merpeople ate fish and plants! It was actually pretty similar to what humans do just in the ocean. Bigger mammals were usually a no-go just for safety but I did try shark once. I didn't love it to be honest hahah Also! We couldn't get sick from mercury! Tuna was really common and a lot of seafood contains mercury so I scripted that it wasn't an issue.

In terms of specific recipes, there was one dish that was basically like pasta but with wakame instead and had pieces of whatever fish was available. It was really good! Not everyone is a fan of the texture though. We also had a version of khanom chan that was made with seaweed! It was often flavored with underwater fruits and tropical fruits :)

I didn't have any powers! Unless you count being able to breathe underwater and swim super fast?

No, there wasn't a big plot! I really just wanted to enjoy being a mermaid hahah I went to school and I got a job watching pets at some point (yes we had pets it was the coolest thing ever - the most common pets were crabs and penguins for some reason).

Having a tail felt very natural but definitely different! It feels a lot more... powerful (?) than human legs! I also remember having a revelation of feeling like a bird because you could flap your tail a lot to gain momentum and then stop moving it but still swim forward because of that momentum. It was pretty cool actually

Cool history... there used to be a lot of ancient civilizations that lived on and around islands! When I shifted there, we mostly lived underwater (plus occasionally above water because of the houses but it was still in the middle of the ocean), so learning about the merpeople who lived on islands was really neat to me. They basically built houses around the island and then made manmade rivers that through the islands to use the resources on them. Apparently, they also built something that was similar to a wheelchair to move better but no one's been able to find solid proof of that so we don't know... (personally, I think they did!)

Anyway, this was really fun! Thank you for the question!! This DR was so much fun and really healing for my inner child hahah I definitely recommend having a mermaid DR it's so cool to be able to just swim and breathe underwater

S.teve and C.esare share some onigiri.

“Damn, S.teve. That’s a lot, even for you,” C.esare said, looking at the assorted rice balls on the table in front of them. “You trying to challenge yourself tonight, or what?”

“Mm,” S.teve said. “A bit, but I was hoping to share some of it…”

C.esare looked incredulous. “You mean, with me?”

“Who else?”

He shook his head and smirked. “Yeah, not happening. I told you before, I don’t eat food, remember?”

“I remember,” S.teve said evenly, taking an onigiri. “You said you don’t, but you never said you can’t.”

C.esare chuckled, his strange toothy grin wrinkling the corners of his eyes. “Oh, you’re a sharp one, Steven.”

Being undead was different, though he’d gotten used to it over the hundreds of years he’d been a watcher. It was very hard for most things that hurt normal people to affect him. Certain actions, such as eating and sleeping, were also unnecessary. C.esare still slept. It was familiar enough that he didn’t see a point in giving it up. But when hunger didn’t come up anymore, it was easy to forget to eat. As a result, he had gradually stopped doing so. It left him a lot more time to do more important things.

S.teve, on the other hand… S.teve was alive, so he ate. And he ate plenty. C.esare was very into large men as it was, and he regarded S.teve with an admiring fascination. From his round, pretty face to his thick, strong arms to his broad, hairy chest, just being able to look at S.teve was wonderful. Being close to him to the point where he could touch and kiss and hold him… well, that was an experience. Lately, he’d found that they both enjoyed curling up together after S.teve had eaten a big meal, especially when C.esare rubbed his belly. Though they still called each other rivals, the way S.teve was comfortable enough now to relax with (and even fall asleep around!) him made it clear how much things had changed between them. It had been unexpected that they would grow so close, but honestly, C.esare wasn’t complaining.

“If you don’t want any, I’ll just have leftovers,” said S.teve. He took a bite of the rice ball. “They’re good, though.”

C.esare was unusually quiet as he considered this, watching him enjoy his food. It would be embarrassing to go back on what he’d said, but the warm rice balls did smell nice. They seemed like a far cry from the awful food his own truck served. S.teve’s burgers may have been pretty bad as well, but clearly the man had taste. If he’d still been alive, he would absolutely have taken him up on his offer to share. Then again…

“So what kind are these?” C.esare asked as S.teve finished his first one. “They put fillings in them, right?”

S.teve nodded. “These are all different. I know which ones I like, and I wanted to sample some I hadn’t tried yet.” He pointed to several in succession. “There’s crab, shrimp tempura, and fried spam-“

“Spam?”

“It’s pretty popular, apparently. I like it.” He continued. “Kimchi, umeboshi- that’s spicy pickled cabbage and pickled plum,” he explained, seeing C.esare’s confused expression.

“I know what kimchi is,” C.esare grumbled, though he wasn’t really that annoyed.

S.teve ignored his dramatics. “The last one is plain, just rice and seasoning. Oh, and I already had the tuna one,” he added. “It was okay, but not my favorite.” He unwrapped another one.

Ordinarily, C.esare would have just been content to sit back and watch S.teve partake in his meal. Tonight was different, though. Maybe it was the fact that S.teve had specifically gotten extra food for him, but he was becoming increasingly tempted to try some himself.

“Anyway,” he said, trying to act casual, “you said one of these is plain, right? I think I’ll have a little of that.”

S.teve’s eyes widened and he smiled. “Hm! Good choice.” He picked one of the onigiri up and handed it to him. It was still warm, and wrapped in a sheet of seaweed.

C.esare broke it in half- it was already small, but he wanted to take it slow. It had been years since he last had food, after all. Tentatively, he took a bite.

Immediately, he was struck by the crisp dryness of the thin seaweed, and then the warm, fluffy texture of the rice inside. It was seasoned with a salty flavoring that made him want to wolf down the rest of it like a starving coyote. Instead, he forced himself to chew it slowly, savoring each bite. It was a strange sensation to suddenly have food in a previously empty stomach when you hadn’t felt any hunger. He finished the half of the onigiri and looked up to see S.teve looking at him with interest.

“What?”

“You look happy.”

“Damn straight. Have you tried this?“ C.esare pushed the other half of the plain rice ball towards him. “I don’t know how they make it taste like that.”

S.teve raised an eyebrow. “That’s all you want?”

“No, I want to try a new one,” said C.esare, “but I don’t know how much I can eat.” He gestured to his slim stomach. “I’m- I’m a lanky bastard, S.teve. I didn’t eat much even when I was alive. For all I know, a whole one of these could fill me up for a week. But I’m not tappin’ out yet.” He looked at the table. S.teve had finished his second rice ball, so there were four left, plus the half.

“What’s left?” he asked.

“I just had the kimchi. The crab, spam, shrimp, and umeboshi are up for grabs.”

“Let me get some of that umeboshi.”

C.esare broke the rice ball in half again, while S.teve started on the plain half. The filling was a reddish orange and smelled salty. When he bit into it, he was surprised at just how sour it was. He made a face.

“Agh, that’s HEINOUS,” he said loudly. S.teve laughed- a soft, humming little giggle. “Not to your taste?”

C.esare took another bite and screwed up his face again, but a bit less so. “Actually, it’s not that bad. I just wasn’t really expecting it to taste this way.” He got an evil glint in his eye. “Umeboshi on a burger, though…”

“You have some strange ideas about being a burger vendor,” S.teve said, looking amused. “Though people might enjoy that if it was cooked well.”

“Yeah, IF. Sour plum with a burger that’s charred to ash would be terrible,” said C.esare, clearly relishing in the idea. He finished his onigiri. Having a proper amount of food in his stomach was unfamiliar, but not unpleasant. He looked to S.teve. “I think I could handle a little more.”

“Want to try the spam?”

He considered it. “It doesn’t sound great to me, but maybe I’ll be wrong.”

S.teve gave him a small piece of it. The seaweed and rice was good as always, and the texture of the meat was fine. But as he chewed, C.esare frowned at the taste.

“That’s a no, then?”

C.esare shook his head. “The spices aren’t doin’ it for me, S.teve. But on the plus side, this would taste even worse if you burned the hell out of it.”

“I think that’s true for most meat,” S.teve pointed out. “You can’t go wrong with the last two, though.” He paused. “Unless you’re allergic to shellfish…”

C.esare wasn’t. He took half of the crab onigiri, which he was pleased to find tasted much better. The crab was savory with a hint of sweetness, it was seasoned the same way as the plain one had been, and…

“Does this have mayo in it?”

“Yeah, it does. Why?”

“I wouldn’t have thought it would go this well with rice.”

“Mm, I can see that. It’s basically a sandwich, though, just without bread.” S.teve patted his big stomach. C.esare realized with a start that he’d been so focused on trying the new food, he’d missed him eating the spam rice ball and the umeboshi half. He himself was beginning to feel pretty full, and S.teve had eaten more than twice the amount of food he’d had. Of course, there was the difference in size between them, and the fact S.teve was much more used to it, but even so, C.esare was impressed.

“You want to share the last one?” he asked him.

S.teve nodded. “Shrimp tempura. That’s a good one.” This time he was the one who halved the onigiri. C.esare caught him stealing a brief glance at his middle as he handed it to him. From where he was sitting, he could feel how much he had eaten, but he wasn’t sure if he was visibly full yet. Maybe when they were finished, Steve could feel his tummy. Those soft, gentle hands against his skin… He shivered delightedly at the thought and began to eat again.

The fried tempura batter around the shrimp was wonderfully crunchy, providing a nice contrast to the rice. The shrimp itself was also delicious. As C.esare ate, he made sure to watch S.teve finishing his last two halves. He could tell the clown was getting full by the way he was slowing down a bit, but he was still savoring them. C.esare swallowed the last bite and put a hand to his stomach. The feeling of comfortable fullness was something he hadn’t experienced in a very long time. He was pretty sure his shirt wasn’t tight enough to show it off. It definitely felt a bit rounder than usual, though.

S.teve finished soon after and looked at him curiously. “Did you have enough?”

C.esare let out a satisfied breath. “God. I’m like a risotto right now, S.teve.”

S.teve paused for a second and looked a bit confused. Then he nodded, understanding. “Want to go lie down?”

“Yes, please.”

C.esare’s bed was just big enough for the two of them to fit comfortably. They lay facing each other, close enough to reach out and kiss the other if the need struck them. For the moment, though, they were just gazing at one another, sleepy and full of wonderful food.

S.teve was the first to bridge the gap between them, cupping C.esare’s gaunt cheek with his hand.

“So pretty,” he whispered. C.esare couldn’t help but feel fluttery inside over the flirtation, and tried to cover it up by brushing his fingers through S.teve’s soft red hair. From the expression on S.teve’s face, he wasn’t doing a very good job of hiding it. He decided to switch gears. Slowly, teasingly, he brought his hand down to S.teve’s stuffed belly. His long fingers brushed over the surface. Every now and then he softly pressed down to get a feel for just how much was inside. S.teve, who had his eyes closed and a smile on his face, was clearly enjoying the attention. C.esare reached under S.teve’s shirt. He let out a surprised honk.

“Your hands are FREEZING!”

“Oops,” said C.esare, smiling wickedly. That was another part of being undead- he was cold as the grave pretty much constantly. It did keep him cool in the summer, which S.teve took advantage of when he could. C.esare didn’t mind. The tradeoff was that he got to sneak-attack him like that every now and then.

He rubbed his palm in small circles from S.teve’s side to the crest of his stomach. It was easy to gauge how full of rice S.teve was. His skin was noticeably stretched from the sheer amount of food. The texture of his body hair felt fuzzy and pleasant against his hand, too.

S.teve’s stomach gurgled quietly, and he let out a contented little sigh. “Mmh… that‘s nice.” He seemed like he’d adjusted to C.esare’s chilly hands. C.esare leaned in to give him small kisses from his jaw to his neck, leaving blue lipstick marks on his pale skin. He caressed the side of his belly as he did so. S.teve pressed his forehead against C.esare’s, then brought his hand down to his companion’s slightly rounded middle.

C.esare’s breath caught.

“Is this oka-“

“Yes. Keep doing it.”

S.teve gave his tummy a loving pat. He was shy about showing affection in public, but when the two of them were alone, it was a different story. He let his hand drift over it. C.esare let out an involuntary sound. He hadn’t realized that his stomach felt a lot more sensitive when it was full. Or maybe he’d just forgotten.

“Hm?” S.teve paused to let his hand rest just below his ribs. The light pressure was just right, but C.esare felt like he’d go crazy if he didn’t feel the warmth of his hand against his skin.

“Steeeeeeve,” he said, putting his hand on top of his. “Don’t be shy about taking it under the shirt.”

S.teve blushed and gave him a sheepish grin. “I was hoping you’d ask…” He lifted up the bottom of his black turtleneck so his tummy was just peeking out. Now that it was uncovered, it was clear that his ordinarily empty stomach had filled out into a soft, healthy-looking little curve. S.teve beamed as he began to touch C.esare again.

C.esare had been right. The way S.teve gently massaged his bare stomach was absolutely heavenly. As he lingered around the tighter spots, S.teve hummed softly. He was giving as much care and attention to C.esare as he’d received from him.

“Mmmh. Does it feel this good when I do this for you?”

“Well, you seem to be enjoying this a whole lot. And I always look forward to it when you invite me over, so…”

“You deserve it, baby.” Though he meant it sincerely, there was a little note of cheekiness to disguise it. S.teve responded to this by giving his nose a little tweak. C.esare playfully snapped at his fingers when he did. Since they were both a bit too full for a proper play-fight, a silent truce was declared after a minute or so. S.teve laid against C.esare’s chest, and C.esare put his head on top of S.teve’s. Their hands still rested on top of each other’s tummies. C.esare could feel the steady rhythm of each breath S.teve took, and closed his eyes. After a while, he was pretty sure he’d fallen asleep. He kissed him on the forehead, and was surprised when he spoke up.

“… I’m glad we ate together tonight. I had a good time.”

C.esare nestled into S.teve’s hair, feeling lucky and cozy and absolutely loved.

“So did I.”

How to catch: Get your pots fit and ready, keeping in mind the 5 slots of inventory needed for just one squat lobster. Set them to wait between the surface and 25 meters. I recommend setting pots deeper than 10 meters at minimum to avoid volcano snails.

Comment: We all dread in the assumption that it waits not for a call from the depths, but a call from above. Claim one of these before it realizes its dream, for a sleek new boat paint is calling for you.

How to catch: Conveniently, these can be caught in crab pots placed at any depth within the confines of Devil’s Spine. That’s right! Your only barrier to effectively catching these will be a spacious requirement of at least 7 slots, making this a more fitting use than ever for a highly upgraded trap or the maw of the deep. All previous info in mind, it’s easy to conclude that the most effective way to hunt for umbral puppets/spider crabs alone is to place pots past 25 meters.

Comment: This is truly a gruesome reference to the knowing. I don’t suppose my fisherman knows anything of rat or squirrel kings, but he knows that the more meat, the merrier in this economy.

How to catch: *Note- THIS exact aberration is one of many reasons I continue to give for why it is wise to obtain and use an oceanic trawling net sooner, rather than later, in this journey. Where my older advice would have suggested obtaining the heavy duty trawl net as soon as possible, I’m instead now telling you not to do this, if and only IF you are able to venture to the Pale Reach. Within the heart of those icy fragments you can find a trawling set that puts the heavy duty equipment to shame, in that it takes less cargo space, works in 4 different kinds of sea, and most importantly, it raises the chance for netting an aberrant fish by 5%.* As for advice specific to the anchovy king, it is what is known by the encyclopedia as an open-ocean dweller. It calls none of the major islands its home, and lingers out in the far, far ocean between and around the main regions. Rumor also has it that the upper left portion of F10 on the map has an unusually high concentration of anchovy spawning, so it wouldn’t hurt to focus there if you are determined to bag this ball of fish sooner.

How to catch: Like the humble anchovy and its mutagenic sibling, open-ocean prawn can take a lot of luck or patience for most fisherman to add to their collection, for they also cannot be caught by rod; however, they can be collected by a crab pot in addition to an oceanic trawl net. They only take a single inventory slot and swim at any depth greater than 25 meters in the open sea.

Razormouth Tuna

You have said you like seafood in past so,what is your favorite dish in that category?

I've really been on a sushi kick lately considering Hit prepares that a lot (quick, easy to prepare from premade stuff if he has to leave in a hurry to go killing in the evening), but I've always been fond of it. Great way to treat myself since a lot of planets will serve it in their small restaurant scene.

I'm pretty open to many different types of rolls and fish, though some make it better than others. Hit's makes the top five at the very least, but it's simply to die for if they use tuna imported from the seaports of planet Piyano~

Occasionally, I will indulge in a bit of shrimp or crab cakes depending on the occasion... and the planet, some planets' shorelines just get me in a bit of a tropical mood.

Ah, I'm afraid I cannot help you there. I seem to be physically incapable of explaining how I draw things. I've made some hand/art tutorials in the past but I just cant seem to explain myself well-

It boils down to: "Well.. I just, draw it. And uh.. if it looks kind'a off? Draw it a little differently. And if it still looks off.. then uh.. just draw it again, until it looks right." <XDD Not really helpful.. sorry!..

I would assume negative.. since a real cookie jar is a bunch of cookies kept "sealed" away in a jar. Its probably the equivalent of a prison to them! :00

Its rare that Seafoam gets really stressed or overwhelmed. Its the mark of a good Captain to keep his cool when under pressure. But if there comes a time where his stress is high and he cant get away from the situation, he probably seeks out Octo for help. Getting him to take over so that he can step away or just to help him in general. In which Octo is always willing to help.

Octo is the same as Seafoam. Really good under pressure and rarely gets overwhelmed. But just like Seafoam, if things get to be too much he would seek out Seafoam for help. Maybe even getting Seafoam to take control so can get a few minutes to himself.

Red probably gets stressed a lot, the poor kid :< He just runs to Coco, Seafoam, Blue or even Octo if he can. Just the nearest parental/protective figure that can resolve the situation for him <XD

I can see Blue diving deeper or swimming out a ways from the ship when stressed. The whale equivalent of taking a walk <XD

Cuttlefish probably uses her powers to slip out of any situation and find a quiet space to calm down. Removing herself from the situation usually fixes her up pretty quick. Spider crab is the same, just going to find a space alone where he can calm himself down. Usually by taking deep breaths and soaking up the quiet.

Urchin, Louis, Coco, Tuna and Ellie probably would all just find a way to leave the situation to go pace and rant when stressed. Even if they have to make a scene in order to leave.

I can see Pinwheel fleeing to Seafoam whenever something becomes too much to handle. Getting him to step in and help her, though she might not fully leave the situation. Since Seafoam provides her comfort, she might hover nearby while Seafoam resolves the situation for her.. 🥺

Today I'll talk about recent events！

My dance lessons have been going well recently♪

I took this photo the first time I went to the studio、

I was so nervous about being late so I arrived 1 hour early！

Before I joined I often watched their 「Happy birthday to Me!」 practice footage、and after dancing at my dance lessons with my senpai really made me feel like I'd actually joined〜 I was so overcome with emotion！

Ishida-san taught me lots of things like leg movements and how to walk！

Seeing Ishida-san's smile as she dances makes me enjoy dancing too✨️

Smiles are so important〜˙ ᗜ ˙

It's easy to express the vibe of fun songs by smiling while dancing、

But I hope I never forget to have fun myself (^^)(^^)(^^)

Today I'll talk about thin sliced katsuo！(skipjack tuna)

Before I moved to Tokyo？

It might have been the day before I moved、

We had thin sliced katsuo for dinner for the first time in a while、

And I love thin sliced katsuo so I was like yaーy and I ate loads 笑lol

（I feel like I ate more of that than I did of the main dish…）

I've always hated vegetables and gave just eaten fish alone but since I've turned 15 I've wanted to try lots of vegetable toppings and condiments so I decided to pile lots of toppings onto my fish！

And I was surprised by how delicious it was…

Y'know I've found a lot of surprisingly delicious things recently、and lots of things I never thought I'd try that I've found delicious😂

It's really bad to say you hate something without actually trying it first…！

I've realised this once again‼️

I Getted 「Food realisations」！

Next time I want to try brown crab meat〜！

At RockIn Oda-san offered me some of the brown crab meat she was eating but I was scared because I'd never eaten it before so ultimately I didn't try it…

I'll definitely try it soon❤️‍🔥
