Finished him! Color looks a lot different in person. My phone and the lighting washed it out some.

This is some concept art for Ghost King Father!Jason todd as he eventually appears in my fic, Imprint.

Decided to slap the Red Hood bat on his chest like a breast plate and I really like the way it looks. Still tweaking colors and making final decisions on the face, but I think I'll stay with these horns. And the crown is still undecided but this is kind of what I ended up finally thinking of. I went with green jewels to go with his eyes and Lazlo (name pending? Let me know what you think. Might run a poll soon on the Pit tiger's name).

Anyway this was a much bigger undertaking than I thought it would be when I started, but it was one hell of a stretch to get back into making art again.

(Sorry about the state of my signature, lmfao. I'm in the middle of designing one and I'm playing with ideas)

Media is basically whatever I found in the kitchen sink and then some. Anyway, it's time for a nap.

You know I think there is something interesting to say in terms of where the fuck WxS is going because like

I think WxS is the only unit where the end goal or overall progression is probably the most unknown out of all of them ???

MMJ and VBS are extremely obvious, they both have the most explicit goals that are said to us in a straightforward way

25-ji, in the end we know the main goal at the end will be for all of the characters to go over their hurdles with Mafuyu finally being able to find herself and move forward

Leo/need is probably the closest in terms of vagueness but we know the end goal is clear for them to grow as a band, probably ending in a big concert or something along those lines

But with WxS...like I guess the closest thing I can see to an end goal is all of WxS preparing a show together with everyone playing their part but that definitely doesn't feel like something you'd build up for an entire arc and definitely not something that feels fitting after the emotional turmoil that was the disbandement arc ???

In terms of physical achievements as well they literally revived an entire parc through one gigantic show, so it just comes into question what they can do now.

Then you look at their first few event for this arc considering usually the first event kinda set up what will be planned for the future but it's...weird.

Yeah, Tsukasa and Rui's events set up they're inexperienced and how they will grow in the future but also there is this weird feeling of something feeling off ?

The plays/scripts all are strangely depressing, the play in Tsukasa's event being about a failed writer planning to drown himself (which I believe is one of the only undeniable explicit description of suicide ever in the game?????) and the second being someone whose given up on life meeting their estranged sister only for her to become ill.

We even have Emu's side story in Rui's event where they watched the movie Rin was watching during the event made by the same producer and Emu herself note how depressing the story is (meanwhile the main character of the movie clearly parallels Rui)

We don't see the conclusion of these in-game stories as well, lingering on their worst moment never really seeing the presumably happy conclusion.

THEN we also have Emukasa fes which....again strangely different in tone from what you'd expect a WxS fes card, they're not really all that conclusive either. Tsukasa never aknowledges how he relates to the brother in the story and Emu doesn't really get a conclusion on her grief.

Then we also have Rui's entire fuckign event with the cards and his cyberpunk deadbo-YOU SEE WHAT IM SAYING

The closest we fucking have to knowing what WxS's fucking endgoal towards the story is, is fucking WL which....TELLS US NOTHING

At least with VBS we know that they're goal is to go even further beyond and conquer the whole world, that is a developpement of their goal.

What I'm saying is I don't know what the fuck colorpalet is cooking wiht WxS but I feel like i'm a fucking twilight zone reading the way they're writing WxS now because I can't be the only one feeling insane at how weird all of this is

I will say one of the funniest things ever is that I was figuring Callum to be less devotional than canon has actually made him in arc 2, purely because I always figured that if Rayla kept pulling her self sacrificial bullshit (see numerous instances in s4) Callum would eventually be like "I can't do/love you like this anymore" and leave out of self preservation, and then 4x09's "I know" came along and said no, he would never actually leave her over this, and that's fucking insane to me but I love that for him

Why isn't Natori's cousin arc talked about much ?

It was such a masterpiece of a story. it was very powerful and tragic which just hurts so much and I'm not over it or I'll ever be, it also had so many things to talk about .. like a lot for example:

-the undying trust Natori had for Natsume that no words reached his heart like Natsume's words

-that deep sad desire inside his heart which later on got crushed in the ugliest of ways not once but twice

-the fact that the Natori clan might have some secret that led people fearing their return or hating them which might be what led someone to break the barriers that protect their house ?

-Natori hating himself more and more for being weak and having such simple desire (NOOOOO PLEASE T^T)

-Natori pushing himself through his trauma for Natsume's sake !!!

-Natori's family being as worse as Natsume's relatives! I SO HATE THEM AS MUCH AS NATSUME'S RELATIVES!! THOSE COWRDS!!

-some more exorcist lore! "I thought he would wear a hat" pleaaase that killed me I can't see him doing it xDDD

-Natori's complicated emotions about the Matoba ><

-"Mitsuru was never going to be the family I dreamed of. If she had been born, she wouldn't have been my ally but my enemy" >> this simply shattered my heart to pieces that I remember I took moments off the pages to recomposed myself .. too much I just can't okay T^T

-big BIG BIG respect for Natori's resolve and pride as an exorcist even if that actually hurts him or cast him in the dark since I thought he might actually regret being an exorcist sometimes but aaaaaaaaaaaa that resolve !!! I was happy yet sad and crying !!!

-"I'm glad you're the one who exorcised me Natori Shuuichi" >> nope I'm okay not breaking down in tears or anything at all T^T

-a bit on Natori and his shiki's relationship T^T

-Natsume's respect for Natori's choice at the end that he didn't interfere and hating himself for not being able to find a solution for both ><

-WHAT WAS NATORI GONNA DO TO HIMSELF IF NATSUME DIDN'T APPEAR THIS IDIOT!!!!

I feel there's more things worth mentioning but those are what's on my mind right now, I so wanna expand on everything and talk much about them but can't with this very unstable health of mine for now T^T

must come back to it one day .. I must since this story is just another masterpiece from Midorikawa-sensei that need more people to talk about it .. no simple words can express what I feel about this arc ..

merry almost christmas, remember that holiday movie Klaus that came out some years back with the gorgeous hybrid 2D-3D animation and the revolutionary lighting techniques and the varied and interesting character designs and the beautiful environments and the stellar cinematography, that no one ever talks about or even seems to remember anymore because the writing was so devastatingly 2000's direct-to-dvd disney sequel it somehow dragged the quality of this potential masterpiece down to "just kind of mid"

just watched it again, actually significantly more fun/coherent if you turn it off halfway through and imagine it's all just healthy community building and gay sex from that point on

#merlin.txt #w/ the new computer the rest of act 3 went by super quickly #honestly i dont think my computer and my sanity would have survived all those cutscenes #ANYWAYS initial thoughts:#cried like a baby. ending credits songs really really good. i can't WAIT to start a new playthru. #uhhhh me #atla #listen i have very little stakes in this #i didn't grow up with atla so it doesn't hold nostalgic value the way it does for a lot of people #i think a lot of live action remakes are unnecessary but i do try to give them a chance #however comma. due to recent underwhelming adaptations my patience with them is wearing Thin #i am getting tired of showrunners trying to change things from the source material that had no reason to be changed #sometimes even things that are straight up important or The Point #i'm sure they'll still try to give sokka an arc w the kyoshi warriors but their reasoning for it is #questionable to say the least #like sokka's sexism is literally A Thing He Had To Overcome. it's not portrayed as a good trait #if a kid's show can handle this then the grittified remake absolutely can too #and i KNOW. i know this is just a soundbite from an interview. it might not be as bad as it sounds #but given what i've been seeing from adaptations in the past few months/years. i really doubt it #also lol love the comments on the thread saying 'can't wait for the show to say azula is actually nice now!'#(also i do not blame the actors for defending this change. they are basically obligated to never say anything bad abt the show)

remember when i said over a year ago that vegapunk's arc would start revealing even more of sanji's power and potential and how hard that was worrying me? yeah

Was just watching a very good video essay from one of my favourite channels (CJ the X) about trauma (specifically through the lens of the Max scene in Stranger Things season 4, a show I have not watched since S2) and wound up thinking about S4 Rayla because

Trauma as an event that disrupts your previous continuity / narrative of your own identity, as it contradicts your own view of yourself and your narrative of life, in such a way that it destroys your previous beliefs and removes possibility and capability to move forward
