A person said something about RWBY Critics, and I wanted your feedback.
"The fans don’t know what they want, they know what they think they want.
And what they think they want would be hot garbage if actually put into production, so the writers will stick with their years of experience and original ideas for the show instead of trying to cater to fans in an inevitably doomed way.”
What are your thoughts on this?
i think this is the correct mindset for the writers to have.
look at the lotr fantasy chaff that's come out since tolkien's masterpiece. they focused on the wrong things, emphasized the wrong hero archetype, and then scratch their heads at how come they are not as successful as the lord of the rings.
if the fans think they have something of worth to tell, they'd make a show, they'd have the passion to turn their nugget of an idea inspired by a supposedly inferior inspiration and make a killing with their creative, better story than rwby. there would be a product out that would be competing with rwby's fantasy ip.
so where is it? where's the show? this better story has no legs, and the 'fan/critic' with a better, brighter idea would invest in the idea to the point where they'd start a competing product.
look, even if they have an idea that is better, they don't have the passion to pitch it and make it reality.
i agree with the statement that fans think they want something to happen and the writers should keep giving us their own original ideas. cause i have ideas about where the show should go, i'm just curious if i'm right or if the creators have another better idea about it.
whether or not i'm right, i'm just here for the ride. be not attached to your own ideas.

Detail about 06's music that I love: In the scene where Silver questions whether killing someone to save the future is right and Blaze tells him that if it isn't done, the future will stay the same forever, the music playing sounds similar to You Are My Companion. This is the track that plays when Blaze seals Iblis, aka the scene where she essentially dies to save the future

I’m gonna be honest. I still think that the Prince Hans reveal in Frozen worked. It was a brilliant twist on the usual Disney story with huge impact… and then they just… kept doing it.
And it retroactively turned a brilliant story choice into just the first in a long line of worse versions of the same thing.
I really just hate that Disney ruined something that I do think genuinely worked.
