dawn spending literally as much time as she possibly could at barry's house as a kid until the crippling horrific guilt inevitably settled into her heart each and every time. not wanting to be a burden, since her being there was another mouth to feed for them and another person to (temporarily) house and give space to. another person for his mom to look after and take care of and to worry about. even with his mom insisting she was welcome, dawn didn't believe it and would try to leave most of the time before dinner, or sometimes (more rarely) in the middle of the night. only to just wind up finding a quiet spot in twinleaf to sit in silence and solitude until the stars winked on one by one, the moon rose, and the town grew totally still. it was better that way, better than returning home to a mother that was nothing but disappointed in her and cruel to her for trying to forge a different path.

Within are several bags of cat food (notes stuck to them of good amounts and schedules in Dan Heng's handwriting), a stack of square cushions, and a few different kinds of toys. ❝I've only worked with the cake cats but I figure they're pretty similar? Hope this helps!❞ A bright grin as a foot nudges the box their way. ❝Oh, uh, Dan Heng says not to let them eat random things even if they want to. I mean Qiu still goes for leaves and Crystal was fine after eating some of March's weird ice. But I don't know about regular cats. So... just in case!❞

Currently Sampo is holding Avenyan, a small cream colored cat that the thief swore looked like a certain gambler he knew. Said gambler said that he was imagining things but honestly... who could say. Sampo definitely didn't see the resemblance to himself to Meowski. Damn cat was too large and needy! Which Sampo was not!

Regardless, he was standing, giving the small cat scritches as the young Trailblazer was putting a box of cat supplies down.

The thief rolled his eyes playfully. "And here I was going to let Meowski eat that Disciple's arm. I know not to."

Although his interest was peaked by what Caelus said. Well there were several things he had said that caught his attention but the Fool would decide to go with what's the most important for now. "A what cat? I've only heard of mojito cats. Not cake ones."

Then he looked down at the cat in his arms. It definitely wasn't a mojito cat nor was it a cake cat. It was a nervous, scared baby. But that was fine, Sampo tamed it fairly quickly with love and attention.

Regardless of his confusion, the old Fool does give Caelus a quick ruffle on his head. "I appreciate your concern. I'll make sure your gifts are put to good use."

I will put XR on a tiny, mini hiatus so I can focus on my sideblog Handfulofmuses, specifically on the rabbit characters!

I have been a bit insecure about my writing with him lately, he’s not a character that comes naturally in writing to me and I am still relatively new when it comes to that franchise. I’ve been with Watership Down since I was seven, so analyzing stuff also comes a lot easier for me and I am just more confident in my characterization there. Animals are easier to write than robots for me too.

I am not abandoning this blog! I still love writing XR and want to improve with him, but currently I am also experimenting with my writing in general and roleplaying the rabbits has helped more with that - at least that is what it feels like

So I’m gonna improve my writing, vocabulary and other things first. I am still here because it’s the main blog to Handfulofmuses, and I will still post headcanons, replies, memes and opens but things will be a bit slower around here!
