Time for a distraction?
Castiel forces himself to smile, muttering to himself anything bit a rictus grin—just anything, okay?
The mantra must have some effect because when he tugs Dean forward by his hand, Dean’s lips curl up in a matching expression, his nose crinkling adorably and the koala at the corners of those gold speckled greens koala.
Dean comes to a stop in what would be the V of Castiel’s legs. He leans over, hands bracketing Castiel’s hips and upper body so tantalizingly close that Castiel wonders if Dean’s done a switch and bait on him. Who is supposed to be seducing who?
Dean is now so close that Castiel can arch up to capture his lips. Castiel curls his palm around Dean’s chin.
Dean lets out a quiet koala of against Castiel’s lips where they meet his.
Castiel keeps it soft and chaste. Almost a peck. He draws back and attempts to wink at Dean. Making those sorts of faces isn’t Castiel’s strong suit but he still manages to elicit a pout from Dean and a swift glance over his shoulder towards the open door.
When Dean whips his head back around, he has a smirk plastered across his face. He leans in to kiss Castiel again. Dean nips at his bottom lip, then soothes it with a swipe of his tongue. Dean presses his body as close as he can from this awkward angle, lips breaking contact so Dean can turn to koala them against the shell of Castiel’s ear instead.
The puff of hot breath tickles.
“Two can play at that game, Sweetheart. Lucky for you, I’m all in.”
Dean grips the front of Castiel’s shirt, licking into his mouth and beginning to take him apart with one gentle flick of his tongue after another.
“Dean, door,” Castiel says, in two ragged breaths as he drags himself away from the kiss.
Dean huffs, hands reaching out after Castiel as he hurries to shut and lock the office door.
“Now, where were we?”
Dean loops his hands around Castiel’s waist.
“You know what? Waste of good liquor aside, you might have had a point in that whole desk clearing business.”
#spnThe most ungainly and unsexy shuffling gets the two of them around the other side of the desk, with Dean’s arms still around Castiel.
“Nuh-huh,” Dean says when Castiel turns to sit back in his chair. “That’s never gonna take the weight.”
Castiel rolls his eyes. “Let go of me and I’ll make some more space on the desk. It’s a talent of mine.”
Dean lets out a small laugh as he drops his grip on Castiel.
Green eyes never leave Castiel’s back as he puts the monitor and remaining few items in the back corner.
When Castiel returns to the desk, Dean is sitting on it, legs open wide and gesturing for Castiel to come stand between them. He does.
Dean slide a hand up Castiel’s chest, then loops that arm around his neck and melts into him, letting Castiel’s strong body take most his weight.
Castiel’s stomach swoops when Dean’s other hand grips the fabric of his faded Missile Kid T-shirt that miraculously not only had Bobby kept, but still fitted—with a little more strain on the fabric.
Dean pulls at the shirt, untucking it from Castiel’s form-fitting jeans.
Castiel koala as calloused fingertips slip underneath and stroke the soft skin above his waistband.
He holds him up like he weighs almost nothing, and he has visions of jumping into his arms and wrapping his legs around his waist while Cas carries him to his bedroom.
Castiel whimpers as Dean’s tongue slips out of his mouth.
Dean stares at him, like he’s memorizing every contour and line on Castiel’s face.
Castiel half-heartedly reaches for Dean, a pout on his face.
It earns him one more, almost brutally hard press of their lips before Dean drops his hold and shuffles further back on to the desk.
“Got anything interesting stashed away in those drawers,” Dean says bending backwards with one elbow on the desk, the other reach over the edge.

Actor Dean Winchester's career has hit a roadblock and the offers for a juicy lead or series regular role have dried up. In contrast, Castiel Novak's acting career is struggling to get off the ground. Despite critical acclaim for his latest part as the angelic lead in an upcoming urban fantasy show, offers aren't flooding in. What happens when the pair agree to their managers' scheme of a three-month fake relationship to push them both further into the media spotlight? It is only three months of public appearances together pretending to fall in love in front of the cameras, right? They’re both actors. They play at make-believe for a living. It can’t be that hard to pull off, can it? Besides, what could possibly go wrong?

“Speaking of the next three months, have you seen the schedule the Sasquatch and the Demon made?”
“It appears designed to put as in front of as many cameras and gossip columnists as possible, while subtly making use of those times when one or other of us already has something scheduled. It’s well-researched.”
Dean lifts his eyes skyward.
“That’ll be my brother—the king of research and best-prepared boy scout that never was. Has its uses, so I shouldn’t complain. Don’t tell him that.”
“Why would I? There are parties on there,” Castiel says unable to keep the unease out of his voice as he makes the non sequitur. “Beginning next week.”
“Right. Not a fan. Cozy nights on the couch in pjs, I got it. Don’t worry, I’ll be with you, Sunshine. I’m certain I can show you a good time.”
For a second, Castiel thinks the million-dollar, boxer-dropping grin that follows is for him. Then reality hits again.
“Thank you.”
He doesn’t know what else to say without making an even bigger assbutt of himself than he already has.
An unrecognizable emotion flashes across Dean’s features.
“Besides, we don’t have to do what they’ve scheduled all the time. We’re big boys, we can do whatever we like.”
“True. But they’ve gone to so much trouble pulling—”
Dean holds his hand up to stop Castiel talking.
“Maybe my offer isn’t so altruistic as it came across. Look, if either of is uncomfortable with what’s been planned, then chances are that’s going to come across in our, um, performance?”
Dean sounds hesitant about using that word, eyes darting around the room.
“We won’t have a second, third, or fourth take at any of these things, unlike in our day-job.”
Castiel has barely registered that he’s had the thought before he’s blurting it out.
“We could meet up for breakfast early next week before I start the promotional tour, go through the list and iron out any kinks, so to speak.”
Dean stares at him.
“You asking me out on a proper date, eh, Cas?”

Castiel's somehow been coerced into attending the biggest Hollywood party of the year-his brother Gabriel's Halloween party. It's not his scene, but he figures with Charlie and her girlfriend there, at least he won't be alone.
Dean Winchester is looking for a bit of anonymity and Gabriel Novak's party presents the perfect opportunity. No one will have a clue who he is and he'll get to spend one, blissful night as just another guy at a party.
Everything changes when Castiel loses his cell phone.
Dean and Castiel meet at a Halloween party. They have a drink together, each unaware of who the other is and then go their separate ways. But life finds a way to bring them back together.
This fun story starts as a meet cute at a Halloween party. The characterization is on point, and the chemistry is off the charts from the moment these two cross paths for the first time, even though they're both in costume (no spoilers, but their costumes are awesome!) It also includes their first date, which is just adorable! I really enjoyed their flirting and playful banter, and I liked that though the story is mostly lighthearted, there are hints about the hardships each had to overcome to reach this point in their lives. As a bonus, several of our favorite characters make an appearance in this (Benny, my beloved), making the alternate universe this is set in feel more alive and vibrant. I would recommend this story to everyone interested in something soft and cute.

Dean Winchester has a dilemma. He and his brother Sam desperately need to take a break from the road but they have a history with Crow's Pass, Colorado. More specifically, Dean spent a few nights with one of the town deputies last time they were in town. His time with Castiel haunts Dean's memory.
Does Dean drive Sam on past Crow's Pass or risk seeing the man who is a regular feature in more than Dean's fantasies?
What happens when a demon, one of Azazel's followers, takes that decision out of Dean's hands?

A few townsfolk stare at them. Mostly it’s the disinterested curiosity folks get when their quiet, everyday lives are disrupted by strangers coming into town.
The brother’s tip their hats and exchange cordial greetings with them.
Sam is no doubt as eager as Dean to take advantage of what Pamela’s offers without anyone taking too much notice of them. Hopefully, few of the residents of Crow’s Pass will know it was Sam and Dean who solved their shapeshifter problem about eighteen months ago. Or at least don’t recognize them. There is one person other than Pamela that Dean is certain will remember him—Deputy Castiel Novak. Novak is the reason Dean’s been avoiding this town.
After all this time, even thinking of the handsome lawman is like picking at a scab and re-opening the wound. They both knew Dean wasn’t going to stay. Despite the impermanence of it, the nights they had spent together were some of Dean’s fondest memories and the best sex he’s ever had. The problem is the Winchester brothers are now high on the list of the US Marshals’ Most Wanted.
“Well, well, well! As I live and breathe,” Pamela says around the cigarillo in the corner of her mouth. She’s standing on the sidewalk outside her saloon. “My gift must be dimming. Didn’t figure you two would be around again, especially as there ain’t no trouble of your kind around here.”
“Just passing through,” Dean says as he dismounts.
Pamela holds out her smoke to Dean.
“Thought it was about time we slept in a bed and got us some fresh supplies,” Sam says, tying Thunderbolt to the hitching post.
“Uh-huh.” Pamela nods. “I did hear a little rumour about some monster giving the good folks of St Ira the run around. You thinking it’s your … you know?”
Dean hands back the cigarillo. He folds his arms across his chest and sets his mouth in a hard line.
Sam scratches at the shaggy hair under his hat and says, “Yes, ma’am.”
“You need a little company boys? You know where to find me. I can get Joshua to set you up a room for the night if you want?”
“Please,” Dean says. He is considering taking Pamela up on her offer. Why not? A little whiskey, some cards, the soft and yielding flesh of a beautiful woman underneath him for the night? Sounds hellacious, right? It should be exactly the respite he needs from weeks on this demon’s trail. Except not here, not in Crow’s Pass—it doesn’t feel right.

i had the most wonderful experience working with Ghoulsnhalos for the @fobnatura1 bang this year! They wrote an amazing fix-it finale fic with some fun twists and turns and an ending so sweet even the empty would shed a tear. Link will be at the bottom - please give it a read Ghoulsnhalos knocked it out of the park with this one!
The first piece I did for them was the banner. It's based off of one of my favorite scenes in the fic, both in terms of the writing direction and the characters included. I chose to focus on darker colors to symbolize where Dean is emotionally at this point in the story. He is in a dark place and I believe when he looks back at this event, he wouldn't remember the colors or what was in the background, just the main features and what was important at that moment. I blurred the background because I wanted the main focus to be on the forefront. Hopefully, when you get to this point in the story you'll recognize the artwork!
The second piece I created included one of my favorite characters Jack! When Ghoulsnhalos told me they wanted to write a fix-it fic that focused more on Jack and his involvement in the story, I was so excited. I know I wished he had a greater role in the finale and was really excited to see what direction Ghoulsnhalos was going to take his story. Again, I focused on a darker background because Dean's emotions are still low, but tried to show some contrast with the lightness Jack's character design brings. While Jack's design brings some light to the piece, we all know he loves to look at Dean as a father figure, which we see in some parallels here - the coffee cup, the dark facial expressions, and the hunched shoulders. Like Dean has always said - he ain't a role model!
I hope you enjoyed the art and the little deep dive! I had a great time working with Ghoulsnhalos and cant wait to see all the future fics the write! Please go give them some love - they truly are the best!

After Sam gets injured fighting off a nest of vamps, he and Dean hole up in a motel for a few days. Dean notices someone watching them – someone who looks strikingly similar to the boy in his dreams. He confronts the boy, Castiel, who tells them Dean’s nightmares are turning lethal.
Sam is ecstatic to have a new friend, one who’s an angel no less, but Dean doesn’t trust Cas, no matter what he says. Cas challenges his superiors and risks everything for the brothers, forcing Dean to rethink the person he’s told himself he is and the life he’s carved for him and Sam, as well as the future he might have with Cas.

TURN ON.TUNE IN. SELL OUT-WAKE UP
“Does this answer your question?” Dean says, turning to face Castiel.
Dean cups Cas’s chin in his hand. Impossible green eyes peer into the depths of Castiel’s soul.
“Cas, I wanna kiss you. If that’s a problem, you need to say something—now.”
Castiel is transfixed, unable to utter a sound, let alone a word. He licks his lips nervously. Silently, he prays Dean gets the hint as that’s as close to consent as he is going to get from Castiel right now.
Dean leans forward, his thumb brushes over Castiel’s cheekbone. The kiss starts gentle and sweet as if Dean doesn’t want to spook Castiel, or overstep some hidden marker. He won’t. He can’t, because this is Dean. But Cas appreciates the gesture and sees the wisdom in it. They aren’t who they used to be. Would they even work together as a couple now? What about Jack? What would Castiel and Dean being in a relationship mean for Jack after so much time of it only being the two of them?
Castiel slides an arm around Dean’s waist, drawing him in closer.
Dean leans into him with a soft gasp and parts his lips.
Dean’s brain is stuck on a loop of holy fuck as Castiel’s mouth moves against his. It’s hot, wet, and impossibly right.
Dean moves his hand behind Castiel’s head, his fingers making small circles in the long tendrils of hair at the nape of Castiel’s neck .
When they finally pull apart, Dean hums a tune. The song immediately rushes back to Castiel’s memory. An outlier from the mixtape. One of only two that weren’t Led Zeppelin that Dean snuck in for a reason Castiel wonders if Dean would even remember now.
In his rough out of key voice, Castiel sings the words to that part of the song back to Dean. “Against the sun we raise our broken fists and give thanks to the dead for we may never get another chance to say goodbye.”
We do now, Cas,” Dean says, his voice soft and tentative. “Well maybe not goodbye just yet. But if you’re willing, I want to get to know you...now you and see where this thing leads.”
Castiel grins at him. Together, in time, they’ll work out what things m ean and how they and Gabriel and Sam and Jack all fit together. For now, he’s content to sit out here on the porch and just be with Dean.
“I’d like that, Dean. Yes, I’m willing.”
