6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Ooh that's hard because I write a lot of angst....it's gotta be Idolum and Fulcrum, right? I can think of two others still 😅 But I'm going with these, which are two sides of the same coin.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I think A Thrill Divine, Down My Spine, specifically since it's a no-Voldemort AU friends-to-lovers situation.

8. Do you get hate on fics? I have not (yet) and I'm super grateful for that. I know it'll come, statistically.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I do! (God Kelsey from a year ago is SHAKING). I think usually I like to connect it to emotion even if it's a pwp situation, but overall I'd say it's pretty vanilla lol.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Technically no but also a character named Katherine Kelley made an appearance in my Newsies AU, and if you know, you know.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Someone asked to translate Things That Haven't Happened Yet into Russian, but I'm not sure if that ever happened.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? I have not!

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? Jily :) (Willabeth is also like, neck-and-neck).

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I'm trying not to burden myself with a bunch of WIPs so I finish everything 🤞🏼 I have 2 fully outlined right now and I intend to finish!

16. What are your writing strengths? I think dialogue and pacing?

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Description 🙈 Specifically scene-setting description.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I don't think I could do it believably, but I love to see it done when it enhances the characters or plot!

19. First fandom you wrote for? Harry Potter. I somehow always find my way back.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written? Listen. Come in close. This will probably always change depending on when you ask me. I've, unsurprisingly, got restless waves rise and fall, my Jily Pirate AU on my brain lately. But also so much time and effort went into i'll be fine, i'll be good, and seeing that it's my most-kudosed fic brings me SO much joy, you can't imagine. <3

Okay I did it I got a good grade in tabletop RPG.

Anyway.

Ancile is not the most special unique Halo idea ever but he's my take on a Halo idea.

He's also not a particularly smart idea probably, but it's Halo and Halo is allowed so I'm allowed. We're all allowed.

Ancile is the fulcrum of an AU that splits off somewhere between Halo 4 and Halo 5, and the reason it happens is very simple:

John-117 has come back, and the UNSC wants his Spartan augs brought up to standard along with everyone else's. IIs don't need as much ongoing maintenance as the IVs do, but this would make everything line up nicely and make certain factors feel better about things. It's fine.

It's fine until it isn't.

It's fine until the Master Chief, who has survived so much, dies on the table due to an unexpected complication.

But then maybe it's still fine, because ONI still has a job for him.

Well. Not for him. But for what they can make out of what's left of him.

His name is Ancile.

And inquisitor Ezra? Please?

So the concept starts out with Kanan meeting Ezra before his parents are arrested. This leads to Ezra arriving home as the stormtroopers arrest Mira and Ephraim, so he gets arrested as well. Kanan, who had been supervising Ezra, can only hide snd watch as Ezra is hit on the head by the butt of one of the syormtroopers' blaster.

Kanan makes it off planet, but feels it when Ezra is given a force suppressant, so he assumes Ezra is dead. Meanwhile, Ezra is tortured into using the dark side, and his parents are held to ensure his cooperation.

Years later, Kanan is captured and is being tortured when a kid is led into the room, and after the Grand Inquisitor and Tarkin leave, he begs the kid to either help him escape or put him out of his misery (preferably the first one, but to protect Hera and the others, he's willing to die).

The kid, who's wearing a mask and an Inquisitor's uniform, lets him go, and helps him get out, but during their escape, Kanan slowly realises something is wrong with the kid (besides the whole, has-been-turned-to-the-dark-side thing). It's only when Hera and the others show up and rescue them both that Kanan realises the kid is deaf.

Fulcrum is there, having helped coordinate the rescue, and she takes the boy into custody. When she and Kanan go to investigate, Kanan is shocked when he recognizes him as Ezra, the boy he thought he'd lost.

From there, it's a bit of a retelling of seasons 2-4, with a deaf and dark-side-using Ezra. This of course causes issues when Kanan is blinded (if he gets blinded, haven't figured that out yet).

I'm hoping it's different enough from the other inquisitor au's that it'll be interesting, but I've not put that much work into it. Now that I Taj about it, though, I'm getting excited abut it again. I'll see if I can hammer out the rest of the plot.

3. What is that one scene that you’ve always wanted to write but can’t be arsed to write all of the set-up and context it would need? (consider this permission to write it and/or share it anyway)

Oh man, I have those all the time. All the time. My brain is constantly dreaming up little scenes or snippets of dialogue, and often they would require like a whole universe. Just yesterday, I was sharing some thoughts and one (briefly sketched, not written written) of the scenes that my mind has been building for a TG OG med AU I will almost certainly never write. None of this is polished or edited.

Mav had to go to med school in the Bahamas bc of his GPA or he fucked up part of the mcat or whatever, and he got licensed in the states no problem but he is defensive and touchy about it. Ice got an MD-PhD because of course he did, and he's extremely serious and dedicated but with a better bedside manner than people think initially.

Ice gives Maverick a speech about having to control your emotions for the patients and their families, and Maverick calls him heartless and actually hits him. Obviously he's in trouble, but then he finds out Ice basically told their supervisor, "It was my fault, 100%, don't blame him" before she told him to shut the fuck up and go get his eye looked at. Maverick goes to see Ice in the locker room to apologize, sees Ice's black eye, and Feels Bad. Angles his face, examines him closely, asks if it hurts. Tells him he never wanted to hurt anyone, especially not him, because—And then they kiss.

4. Share a sentence or paragraph from your writing that you’re really proud of (explain why, if you like)

“Dear God,” he said, and then stopped. He looked at Ice, the familiar shape of his features. He’d know him blind. He would never forget an angle or an expression or a freckle or a scar. He knew Ice’s face better than he knew his own. He was Maverick’s reflection, the reflection in the mirror when Maverick held the glass up to his life.

16. Tried anything new with your writing lately? (style, POV, genre, fandom?)

I recently wrote a fic in second person, but that second person is actually a canon character. I don't think I've ever done that before, and tbh I'm not entirely sure how it came about, but I guess this old dog can learn new tricks.

Die F-16A/B Jäger der thailändischen Luftwaffe haben regelmäßige Luftpatrouillen entlang der thailändisch-myanmarischen Grenze im Mae Sot-Bezirk von Tak durchgeführt, um ein mögliches Eindringen der MiG-29 Fulcrum-Jets der myanmarischen Luftwaffe in den thailändischen Luftraum buchstäblich abzuschrecken. Die MiG-29 haben den Berichten zufolge Luft-Boden Angriffe auf Stellungen der Nationalen Befreiungsarmee der Karen durchgeführt, um ein Infanteriebataillon von Myanmar im Township Myawaddy jenseits der gemeinsamen Grenze von Mae Sot zu verteidigen, was die thailändischen F-16 dazu veranlasste, mit regulären Kampfflugzeugen für Luftpatrouillen über die Grenze zu stürmen, um die in Russland gebauten Kampfflugzeuge buchstäblich fernzuhalten. Bisher wurde kein Eingriff einer MiG-29 in den thailändischen Luftraum gemeldet.

„Rund um die Uhr, Tag und Nacht … unsere Falcons bleiben in höchster Bereitschaft“, heißt es in einer gestern (10. April) auf der Website der Luftwaffe veröffentlichten Nachricht. Falcons beziehen sich auf General Dynamics F-16A/B Fighting Falcon Jets aus Flügel 4 in Takhli. Die thailändische Luftwaffe beobachtet die Kriegssituation in Myanmar genau und konzentriert sich dabei auf die Möglichkeit, dass MiG-29 jederzeit absichtlich oder unabsichtlich in den thailändischen Luftraum fliegen, heißt es auf der Website der Luftwaffe. OK so this au has been bouncing around in my head for a little bit now so I figured I'd throw to Tumblr

So post-predacons rising, Knockout works as a medic for the autobots and is the main medic, since ratchet is on earth. Eventually bots, cons and neutrals begin returning. Medics like first aid and velocity then take control of medical facilities. Eventually people don't want a medic without a medical degree. Because of this knockout kinda gets kicked out.

Flash over to shockwave who has been hiding out in one of his underground laboratories. He has been helping predaking, skylinx, and darksteel recreate their species. The lab has a large ceiling and resembles a dome of sorts, but it has little ledges that they perch on.

Somehow, predaking finds knockout and brings him back to shock's lab. Shockwave agrees to give shelter to knockout in return for another approach to restoration of a species. They work on the project and eventually, Knockout starts his own side project. He starts trying to recreate cybertron's flora. Eventually, he recreates a few species of "plants". A type of copper wire vine, energon flowers, a weeping bolt tree, and other things. Soon flowers are all over the lab. Shockwave decided to expand the lab and discovered a natural energonfall. The first one discovered in over 4 million years.

The two scientists decided to not stop at just predacons and a few plants. They recovered fossilized remains of many life forms. Avian species of Vos, the burrowing species of kaon, the marine life of the praxian energon pools, and many many others. They kept many of the flora and fauna in the lab to monitor their behavior. Eventually they released some of the creatures onto the surface.

Sometime after, the autobots discovered the source of the sudden animal re-population of cybertron. They offered shockwave and knockout an official job and started building an above ground lab connected to the original.

So now they have this huge lab where there's animals living in both labs. Eventually bumblebee suggests that anyone struggling to readjust to post-war life, anyone struggling to make a living, and anyone who needs a fresh start, can live at or near the labs and help out with all the chores at the lab. Misfire, fulcrum, blitzwing, whirl, Soundwave, and even starscream will help out. (Even though screamer only stops by occasionally. Soundwave always helps with the feline and Avian species.) They get housing and food, and they don't have to interact with the people they hate. (Knockout keeps track of rivalries to separate them in the schedule). Eventually they start to rehabilitate the planet's diversity and some of the people as well.

And if at one point shockwave saw knockout getting excited about new flower species, and wanted to feel some of that excitement about all of this. And if they worked on a way to slowly reverse the shadowplay, no one has to know.

People do know. They notice it slowly. Shockwave is still a bit cold towards people, but his kindness for the creatures he brought back from extinction is very obvious. Someone who knew him before the war actually started to recognize him again. When he made a small pun knockout couldn't stop smiling. Knockout himself found something that he can finally get behind and adore. He finds himself caring more about the turbofoxes and drones of paradise than his finish. (When he realized this, he had a mental break down.)

Overtime, they helped spread life into cybertron. Although the alspark was starting to create life again, these scientists helped excellerate the process. Beautiful rivers of energon are now filled with aquatic species with banks of delicate flowers, and skies are filled with seekers and bird drones.

When Megatron comes back to cybertron to deposit the djd in prisons, he stood over cybertron and saw that the world he destroyed was healing. He smiled before continuing his journey to right even the smallest bit of the crimes and atrocities he committed.

HappyEnding!AU where Palpatine bites it before Order 66 and the galaxy experiences an unprecedented era of Peace and Prosperity! Is Fox overreacting? What? Of course not! Do you know the statistics on senatorial deaths by would-be insectoid assassins?? Did he really have to tumble roll and pull out his blasters like that? How dare you. This is an obstruction of security and... uh... personal expression. Now excuse me as I shimmy up this rope with nothing but upper body strength.

This was actually my original entry for Foxiyo Week before I sneaked in the Rebels!Foxiyo hahaa XD Man, drawing clone trooper armor is tough, I don’t know everyone does it. @_@ My fav panels are Fox’s silly li’ tumble roll and when he just unleashes ‘pew pew’ destruction. Also Riyo’s expressions. Poor girl. She doesn’t get clone flirting. Or maybe it’s just Fox flirting. 🦊

This is the only way I can reconcile Grey’s armor changing from red to green. I guess since Kanan: The Last Padawan is technically Kanan’s POV that is why his armor is red? XD When u can’t see green and everything looks red and grey. So many things in Kanan’s life are green. His clothes. Hera. His son’s neon hair. And now apparently Grey’s armor. Man, his lightsaber should have been green considering how pro-green he is.

TLDR; Kanan is colour blind, pass it on.

Intro/Fic Masterpost

So, I’ve been in the Thunderbirds fandom for officially a decade now, and my first fic series isn’t complete yet. Life gets in the way, as we all know, but unless I specifically have a note on any of my stories on FanFiction.net or Ao3 that say they are abandoned, I always intend to get my stories completed. At some point.

I hang out on Tumblr to vent, muse and interact, mostly about fandoms. These include Thunderbirds (all three iterations), BBC Merlin, Marvel MCU, Star Trek TOS/AOS and The Shadowhunter Chronicles. I do post stuff of my own, but recently it’s just been hop-on-tumblr-to-ignore-the-real-world shenanigans. *grins sheepishly*
