Day 4: Time Travel by UseMyMuse
Day 4: Time Travel
by UseMyMuse (@museywrites)
G, 1k, Wangxian
Summary: Lan Sizhui knows his parents are happy, but he wants to fix things so they never had to suffer. Against his better judgement, he goes back in time, though he isn't sure if things will turn out the way he expected.
Kay's comments: Oh, I really liked this short time-travel story! Sizhui travels back in time because he wants Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian to live a happier life, because they deserve only the best. It's got a bit of an open ending that I actually really enjoyed and I loved the subtle changes Sizhui made.
Excerpt: He followed his baba silently as he roamed, doing his best to stay out of sight, but eventually, he was caught. He lost sight of Wei Ying and suddenly he was backed against a tree.
"Who are you and why do you keep following me?!"
Sizhui threw his hands up, "I swear! I mean no harm!"
"If you mean no harm, than I expect you to tell me who you are and what you want."
"My name is... my name is Lan Sizhui. Birth name... Wen Yuan."
"...what?" He looked at him in confusion.
With an unsure expression, Sizhui explained everything to Wei Wuxian, unsure if he'd believe him or not.
pov lan sizhui, canon divergence, time travel, time travel fix-it, dimension travel, alternate timelines, everybody lives, wei wuxian leaves the yunmeng jiang sect, lan wangji/wei wuxian get a happy ending, ambiguous/open ending

r/dragonage (Reddit) post titled "Jeff Grubb: Dragon Age: Dreadwolf scheduled to release in late 2024."
Post text: "Dreadwolf to be shown this summer and planned release later this year, Bioware is internally confident on the release date. Anything could change of course."

In episode 339 of Game Mess Decides, Jeff Grubb had the following to say on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf's possible/rumored release window [transcript]:
Question from chat: “Hi Jeff and Mike, when will Dragon Age 4 be shown and released?”
Jeff: “Yeah, I mean, I expect it will probably pop up this summer. I don’t know when it’ll be shown is the real answer, that’s the, let’s get that out, I don’t know when it will be shown. I assume it will be shown sometime this summer. Could happen at any time though. It will be released this year [2024], last I heard. That is, and they’re pretty confident about that, doesn’t mean it’s a guarantee, could slip, but right now, internally, they expect to release it later this year, which is why I took it in Fantasy Critic”.

(there were no more mentions of Dragon Age or BioWare during the episode)

Jason sat there, hunched over his papers, tapping his pen against the pages as he tried to think. There had to be something he could say to little-him to convince him.
“What are you working on,” a voice said behind him, and Jason jumped sky high.
He dropped his pen, actually, he jumped so hard.
“Fuck, Bruce,” he cursed, “Don’t do that.” Everyone knew better than to sneak up on him.
Everyone.
Well. He’d never shot at this Bruce before, so he supposed he didn’t know yet.
“Sorry,” Bruce said quickly, holding both his hands up as he came around the table so he was beside Jason, “I didn’t mean to startle you.”
“Yeah, whatever,” Jason grumbled, as he pushed all his papers together and made them into a neat pile.
Bruce pulled the chair next to him out and sat down, then nodded toward Jason’s papers and asked, “What is that?”
“Oh, it’s just, you know… Notes. For little me.” Jason said, hesitantly. He didn’t really want Bruce to have anything to do with it.
But… Jason was the stupid one to work on it right where he could see.
“May I?” Bruce asked, hovering a hand over the stack of papers.

I loove the android robin au it's really one of the most interesting au I have seen in a while.
I am always happy to see new post abt it
Also making my favourite characters go through hell and then receiving comfort from their people is like the best thing ever for me so every time I see a whump!Robin post I like automatically
People loving android!Robin makes me so happy anansnssndsnsns she's curious and excitable and full of wonder and the world keeps punishing her for simply being alive. Sometimes it's too painful even for me, big whump lover 😭😭 though seriously, there is not enough Robin whump, and while all the characters in the show are very whumpeable, hurting my little blorbo Robin feels special because... she's just so deeply lonely. She's lonely and she thinks she deserves to be because of something wrong with her (pulling this interpretation from Surviving Hawkins lore which is canon to me 😭). That was a big idea I had when I first came up with android!Robin... that there is something wrong with her. Broken. In this AU she's literally broken in a lot of way (battery and memory problems, weak joints in her lower half, etc), but that's all within the range of normal robot problems. The real issue with her is that she's sentient. It terrifies people because it really brings out the existencial horror of... well, existing. It terrifies Robin most of all. She is the problem. She is what's wrong with her. She shouldn't exist.
But at the same time, she loves being alive so much! She doesn't understand it and doesn't know how it happened, but it happened, and now she's real and wants to experience life and the world and know people like human beings do. So it's her constant battle to become human despite humans having hurt her so much in the past... only for Nancy to already see her as human. Just one made of metal and plastic, but human nonetheless. She's the first person to see her that way and maybe everyone else thinks she's crazy, but Nancy is used to that. She's so sure of this, though, of Robin's self-awareness. She trusts her so blindly. She doesn't even need proof. And not only does she believe her, but she defends her humanity in front of her friends and family so ardently, fighting so hard for Robin to be aknowledged by everyone else as human. Fighting so hard to give her a home and family for the first time in her life.
Nancy has it bad for Robin, really. She's just so in love, even if everyone else thinks she's crazy for falling in love with a machine (no one thinks she is, though, because they all know Robin, and once you know Robin, it's impossible not to love her).

tomorrow I’m planning to go to a pole class then for an ocean swim and to look at a market and then seeing a movie with new friend. And i’m a bit stressed because I have planned these three things which are all over an hour via PT away from each other. the buses just aren’t reliable enough for this to all go to plan. And so I am accepting the possibility of missing the pole class (I will only actually book it once I’m sitting on the bus), and actually not accepting missing the train to the swim spot :( i wanna swim! Accepting that if i miss that train I’ll be sad. I’ll find something nice to do with that time if I do anyway. Maybe buy a croissant and eat it in a park. Go to a museum/gallery. Walk around! Buy some work shoes.
