Halloween. Right. In all the drama of the past twenty-four hours, he’d completely forgotten to tell her. He palmed his forehead. “Bollocks. That reminds me—Arianne's having a big Halloween bash at her place next weekend. The whole cast and crew are invited. She does this every year, apparently. It’s a big media circus. I wasn't planning to go, honestly, but Marg said it would be a good thing for us to do together. You wanna come with me?”
Her eyes widened. “Oh, sure—I mean, am I actually invited, though?” she fretted.
He snorted. “You’re invited if I say you are.” Arianne might not like it, but she knew better than to throw a fit about it.
She smiled. “OK. I guess that saves me the trouble of having to plan my own party.” She frowned abruptly. “Of course, that only leaves a week to come up with a costume.”
He didn’t get the problem. “Plenty of time, right?” She gave him a dubious look, and he held up his hands. “Or not.”
“I’ll figure something out,” she said, mostly to herself.
“Well, when you do, let me know, so we can coordinate,” he told her, surprising her.
“Like…a couple’s costume?”
When she put it like that, it did sound pretty intimate. Feeling his face grow warm, he scratched his beard. “Aye, I suppose so. It’ll be good press, right?”

Summary: As tensions escalate in Castle Black and King’s Landing both Jon and Dany seek out the Fates for answers.
Concern was already plain on his face as he removed his cloak. “You were quiet at dinner.”
Looking down at her hands, she nodded. “I noticed the same of you.” It would take her time to find the right words. “Where were you earlier today?” Were she not so preoccupied with her family, she’d have been more focused on his mysterious absence.
Jon paused and gave her a small smile - his tell whenever he was being evasive - and began to undress. “Davos needed my help at the Hell Gate.”
Some of her troubles were forgotten as she pushed away from the windowsill to interrogate her husband. “Davos said you weren’t in the castle.”
He sighed in defeat, but his mood didn’t have time to sour when she began helping him undo his shirt.
“After the Hell Gate, I met with the Fates.”

I’ve added a small snippet from a chapter of my story because I wanted to 🤭 Thank you! Aries season will soon be upon us ♈️🔥
While she hunted for something to wear that wouldn't make her feel suffocated, Jon had already dressed. Everything was too tight around her chest, and she was growing frantic as Jon approached, tying his hair back. Her heart fell at the sight of his youthful face turning grave and harsh as he finished. She wished he would wear it down, a frivolous wish, but she made it just the same as he eyed her scowl.
"What's wrong?" He asked, gaze skipping from her to the mess of gowns and coats she'd tossed on the floor.
She wanted to stomp her foot, but refrained and huffed instead.
"None of it fits anymore, and it's entirely your fault," she said, her voice more like a childish whine as Jon's face lit with amusement.
"Forgive me if I'm wrong, I've been known to be, but I believe you were also involved, Dany."
Her brows hammered down, and her mouth twitched with the want to laugh.
"Yes. However, I refuse to assume blame, considering I was under the impression this was impossible." She gestured toward her stomach and let the smile itching the corners of her mouth break free as he gave a dark chuckle and embraced her.
He swayed with her in his arms and kissed the top of her head as she breathed in the scent of oiled leather and Jon.
"Well, I am glad to prove you wrong, then. There is a solution to your problem. I'll find her before I speak with Davos, alright?"
She laughed lightly and tilted her head back to meet his sparkling gaze.
"Alright. Leave before I discover my boots don't fit and blame you for that, too.”
Jon nodded solemnly and said, "Of course, my Queen. I live to serve you."
She snorted, head shaking as he backed away toward the door. She retorted, "You are a menace."
He didn't deny it and simply said, "Only for you."

Jon eyed the book in Ned's hands. It was thick and bound in aged, brown leather, with a satchel closing. He shifted it to one hand nervously.
“Jon, my dear nephew. The simple fact is that the men in your family…” He trailed off. “Some have had the ability to…”
When he trailed off again, Jon grinned, amused. “Sounds strange already.”
“Oh yes,” Uncle chuckled, gesturing widely, “be prepared for strange. Be prepared for spookiness.”
“It’s coming isn’t it? It’s on the tip of your tongue.”
His humor calmed when the book was finally passed to him. On a closer look, Jon was certain he had never noticed it crammed into the bookshelf he knew so well. Returning to the bookshelf, Ned continued.
“You’re twenty-one now.”
“Indeed I am. So old. Might as well roll over and die.”
Ned faced him with another unfamiliar item. It was a booklet of DVDs and CDs, one that made Jon’s heart speed up as it was zipped open. His uncle sucked a breath between his teeth.
“Don’t die yet. There’s so much more for you to learn. And do.” He slipped a disk out and passed it to Jon. “I suppose it’s time to tell you now.”
Frowning, Jon looked down. He gasped at the handwritten note, as Ned’s words sprung out of him, like water from a fountain.
To Jon, from your father, R.
“There is a family secret. On your father’s side. And the secret is that firstborn sons can travel in time. Well, back in time, to be specific. Not the future.”
Jon was so confused. “This is such a weird joke.” But he didn’t want to let go of the disk.
“It’s seriously not a joke.”
Jon never had much luck with love. Not even time travel could help that. He’s all but given up, when he meets Daenerys a week before Christmas. When their instant connection is thwarted by a change in fate, can Jon find a way to get the girl of his dreams?

In Westeros: war.
To the east, the Targaryen queen has landed on the shores of Dragonstone, prepared to take back the throne stolen from her family. To the south, the lions of Lannister bathe in the blood and copious spoils of their war—unchallenged, undefeated. To the far north, beyond the Wall, looms an unimaginable nightmare led by a god of death, a demon who will bring eternal winter to the realm by means of his army of walking corpses.
