So....
There was an error (most likely human but I refuse to accept the blame in this situation) with the document holding Something Stupid where the EXTENSIVE edits I made last night— I'm talking entire sections re-written in a partial fugue state— were not saved and I'm trying very hard not to set everything on fire about it.
Something Stupid will be up on Friday, maybe earlier if I can get this train back on the rails.

Coming February 13, 2023...
An old money socialite and a new age bohemian are forced to face the consequences of their one night stand after a freak snowstorm traps them together. What follows is a whirlwind romance plagued with interpersonal drama and life's unavoidable bullshit.
While I never watched Sex and the City, I really wanted to write a fic with an updated SatC vibe and for Dany to have an almost Bradshaw-ian monologue and blog. From what I have gathered from SatC clips on TikTok, Jon Snow IS NOT anything like Mr. Big. I just love writing hot messes coming into well organized men's lives and tearing everything up and him falling in love with her anyway. Now if I could just get the damn thing written!

She had no jewelry to wear but Rhaenys assured her it would come in time. After Rhaegar welcomed her into the family publicly, Targaryen supporters would shower her with gifts to appease the King, not to mention the potential suitors. That was a conversation Dany refused to have and swiftly changed the subject to Rhaenys’ fiancé, who Dany accused her of avoiding.
“My father has dangled a royal wedding in Hoster Tully’s face for as long as I can remember. I am well past marrying age, if he was serious in his promise, it would be done by now,” she had said, “Besides, I have found myself someone who is twice the man Edmure is in every way.”
“Oh?”
“He rides for King’s Landing this very minute to ask the King for my hand. My father would be a fool to refuse.”
“Who is he?”
“I can’t say.”
“Why not?”
“If one person knows, everyone will know. And I can’t hurt Edmure like that, he really is sweet. Simply too sweet for me.”

Ah yes, the dreaded update update...
In the past two weeks, I've had several creative opportunities come up on top of my part-time (but really more like full-time) job. Unfortunately, these paid opportunities— that will also help my real life career— and preparing for my job's hiring season will take up a bulk of my free time which I dedicate to writing.
I'm already a slow-to-update author, so it's very likely you won't notice a real difference in the length between updates, but I like to keep you in the loop. This might also mean that you get more snippets/teasers!
After dealing with burnout (and enough personal and professional drama to last me the next two years), I'm very grateful to be booked and busy again but saddened that I won't get to exist online as much. But this is the swinging pendulum of life as an artist. *sighs in "I don't choose the grind, the grind chooses me"*
Thank you all for your support and grace! I do not take it for granted.
