my least favorite thing is deleting my political activism comments on instagram for my own safety as a minor. i am so firm in my own beliefs but the simple fact of the matter is, i would prefer not to have my life threatened before age 18 , hell ever. though, i come off as a straight up coward when delete things because my beliefs are so stong that safety is an afterthought.

my patronizing attitude towards non-transguys and transfems a couple years back was misinformed and something ive started to really work on and excise from my brain, that any group of trans ppl is inherently better than another

Then i see another transmasc go on about transmisandry and how oppressed trans men are by "transmisandry deniers" and i feel like the joker

#well whenever ppl talk about racism towards black trans people they #never mention asians!!!!1 #🐟#it was never a good faith argument about “the community” so much as reactionary backlash to feeling offended rather than being actually hur #listen. Im an asian transmasc. The amnt of times ive heard ppl say is an exact parallel to this shit. Its not about actually building a goo #e but real criticisms #Ive seen transmasc Womyns Rights Activists in countless 80s zines. Its rlly not just a good faith argument abt transmasc oppression #i was also unfortunately looped into proship circles as a barely literate child and not to keep drawing comparisons but it really is just #arguments based on feeling attacked rather than actually being attacked #i can smell users thatll argue about the virtues of lolicon from miles away because of what i was subjected to as a kid #Point is? I strongly dislike a subset of online transmascs and how their culture kind of pushes out anyone that isnt white or middle class #they kind of bleed out into real life #And its hard finding support irl from people that arent so horribly entrenched in flag discourse or gender discourse or whatever!!!!#None of that matters irl as much as they think it does! It's not real.

#honestly i think it’s okay to be black queer trans mentally ill neurodivergent and on the brink of a mental breakdown #and to not let that happen. maybe that makes me a horrible person what do i know #i’ve done what is in my capacity and i continue to be an educator. however i am also a literal 18 year old #everyone’s capacity is different and honestly. honestly i just need to connect with my friends irl who do activist work with me. because we #never actually learn to cope. that’s never included. no one teaches you how to maintain your existence #muttering to self radical joy radical joy radical joy existence is resistance over and over again #not only am i doing what i can. it’s okay if i feel like that’s not enough. my capacity is my capacity. and i’ve reached it #anyway i’m running a presentation about the ten stages of genocide on my campus and it’s a lot of work but i’m so proud of it and i’m so #excited to actually make it happen

I hate how tumblr does the EXACT same thing twitter does to discourse that happens on tumblr where a topic gets shaved down to its bare bones and then mocked without understanding what was actually going on

#if I have to hear another uninformed opinion about the chili neighbor thing I’m gonna scream #what I remember from when I saw it happen first hand #was the lady in question had noticed their neighbors getting take out a lot #and looked through their garbage and decided that they weren’t well off enough to cook food on their own #so she decided to make a meal for them before ever meeting them based on an assumption #now that’s whatever but the conversation from disabled activists are being left out #yes I do think it is better and more considerate to meet the person and ask their food preferences before giving them a meal #it’s the whole dilemma with gift giving #a gift is about the other person #not yourself #I think people are blowing the reaction to this discourse WAY out of the water #but it should also be noted that there was anger towards this person because she was horribly racist a several black trans women for a whil #I may be off on some of the earlier details but I remember seeing her around before that discourse started up
