any type of censorship over LGBTQIA+ age appropriate themes / movies / books in schools is outright discrimination and should be called out as such

hi all, this is super important to me
Tumblr media
there's an organization called Trans Santa that allows trans youth in need to post wishlists for the holidays - often things like essentials or gender affirming items. then anyone can anonymously get them things from those lists and make a real, tangible difference in people's lives.
these things can range in prices pretty widely, meaning that even if you don't have much to spare (like me) you still could help. since i can only do so much myself i really want to spread the word. even if you can't buy someone something, tell your friends, family, coworkers, anyone. reblog.
plus if you're in need and meet their qualifications (described on their website) (don't worry they're pretty loose!) you can apply before december 8th to have your wishlist put up
HERE is the website. they also have an instagram

Guys I know how to cure being miserable!
Get off twitter.
I’m not joking. This isn’t just to say “oh ahah chronically online twitterian” I mean it. Genuinely. ESPECIALLY if you’re part of the lgbtq, and etc. I completely deleted twitter because whenever I went on there, all I saw was people being hateful. Twitter is literally just a safe place for all sorts of shitty people like p3dos, proshippers, racists, transphobes, etc because the management is so unbearably shitty and it’s literally owned by one of the most fucking insanely stupid men alive.
So, please, GENUINELY, for the benefit of your mental health and the downfall of this degenerate Elon musk, delete twitter. 😭😭

trans people are stronger together. my irl best friend had one of their nephlings come out to him as gender non conforming, then finally felt comfortable to admit that she's a trans girl and she was ready to embrace it after seeing my friend come out as a trans guy. my friend was able to tell her that he could always just tell that she was always 'like him'. it took him coming out to give her that courage, and knowing that she has support in him, SOMEWHERE in her family. her knowing that she has support gave her the strength to be honest to and about herself.
this is the "point" of being trans. we are stronger together. when one of us comes out and loudly and proudly admits who we are, it gives others who are scared the courage to do the same, or at the very least, acknowledge internally who they are. not everyone has the ability to come out to others safely, but being there to give someone who can the courage to do so is a joy, a service, and an honor. even just by being who you are, you can inspire others to do the same, and give them the strength they wouldn't have been able to find otherwise.

Time to get on my soap box. It really pisses me off when I hear people say, "Trans people are not really trans if they don't transition." What about poor people? (Raises my hand.) What about people who have health problems and are unable to transition. (My hand is still raised.) What about people who live in closed or semi closed societies? (Yup - that's still me.) What about trans people who are simply terrified of coming out? (Oh - that's DEFINITELY me!) Does that make me any less female than the person who is transitioning or has undergone gender affirming surgery? NO! So how do I deal with it? I live vicariously through the lives of trans celebrities, activists, and influencers. Don't tell me I'm not female, because despite my rugged exterior, i always have been and always will be!!

Why does this headline fr go weirdly kinda hard?(For context, I originally found about this even though it's atleast somewhat old and really nobody cares at this point I don't think??when I randomly remembered the fever-dream like existence of that one cartoon about a regular boy who has a feminine-presenting Superhero persona that aired on the Hub Network when that was still around so I went looking for it on Pinterest and found a random image of the protagonist with a link to a news article basically reading as this)The hashtag LGBTQIA+ specifically trans and gendernonconformist agenda is spreading:
