You had been in a close proximity, one that you were rarely granted. But this, by far, was the most common way:

Right now, you were cheek to cheek with Alastor as you danced, his humming and hands guiding you along the makeshift dance floor. The lobby was full of similar dancing, everyone having a great time. Reopening was going off without a SINGULAR hitch! The music was perfect, everyone was enthralled...

That was, until Alastor spun you into his embrace, hands ghosting along your hips. Your mind raced with a risky idea as he was about to spin you back around. You tried to reason with yourself... But the Devil on your shoulder overtook you. You ground your ass onto Alastor, meek at first as you gazed back at him.

The Radio Demon sputters as he tried to get you to cease, but you just reached behind yourself, hand tangling in his hair as your hips moved again.

You gazed back at him with half lidded eyes, grinning," What's the matter, Al~? Never danced like this before?"

The growl that came through his chest made you squeak; you were spun suddenly, barely missing the twitch in his smile. Your arms flailed for purchase, landing on Alastor's shoulders as he dipped you into a dangerously low angle.

"Dear, this is an important evening. Please, refrain from this nonsense. People are present."

You grinned, hiking a leg up his as you pulled on his lapel. The cheap champagne you drank gave you courage. You were brought back to your feet as Alastor disguised your bickering with a close-knit tango, his hand gripping your waist tightly. A few poses were struck that went with the music, your head thrown back as you smile. Even now, you were unable to contain your grin. And Alastor knew that spelt trouble.

"If you want me to stop..."

You fall flush against him again, a hand on the one that gripped your waist. as you gave him a particularly sensual grind. You felt Alastor grunt against your scalp, your leg raising against his once more,"...then make me~"

You yelped as Alastor spun the both of you, lifting you up into the air with ease. You threw both arms out as you were aloft, arms coming back in when Alastor dips you again, this time a hand tracing your collarbone.

"Darlin'...," he drawled, without a filter, making your throat run dry," You don' know what you've just asked for..." I don't have anyone to yap to so I am sorry for doing it in your asks.

But I think people don't truly grasp how formative it is that Charles, Max, Alex, George, Pierre and Esteban all grew up racing together for what seems their entire childhood. Of course back then their schedule wasn't as busy as it is now with F1 but they still all saw each other regularly, which at that age just has such an huge, subtle impact. Max probably watching on while Charles and Pierre became close friends, their families becoming friends, watching Alex and George becoming friends and continue to be friends all the way until they literally debut in F1 the same year. All the while he never seemed to get close with any of them, aside from his fight with Charles, because of his dad. He was fast tracked, debuting in F1 before any of them and never got to be just a kid, even in the small ways the others did. Yet he remembers that time with such fond memories, because he has these people in F1 with him now and they like him despite or maybe because of everything he is. Him remembering Charles helmet just shows how much attention he paid to them, specifically Charles even if he couldn't do anything about it, other than race them with all he got. But also the rest of the dynamics, of Alex and George still being friends to this day, over 10 years after they started karting together, Charles and Pierre and their families still being close, closer than ever probably after the losses they've shared, and Pierre and Esteban being such a silly mirror of Lestappen. Starting out as close friends during karting and their rivalry making them anything but friends, the opposite of how Charles and Max's relationship developed.

Just something something about them all growing up together and knowing each other as little kids is so special to me and why I think this current generation and current grid is special in a way we'll never get again.

Anon, the only thing you need to apologize for is not putting a trigger warning for extreme emotional distress at the beginning of this ask because I am on the verge of tears thinking about Max watching the others becoming close while he kind of stood on the sidelines, watching them build strong friendship bonds right in front of his very eyes while he himself wasn't allowed to do the same.

Do you think Snape stopped being a bigot by the time canon rolled around or do you think he still thought of muggleborns as inferior but didn't act on it cause he was always around Dumbledore?

We know his love for Lily won't change anything, Lily herself points out how Snape's completely fine with calling every muggleborn but her a "mudblood" and even participated in bullying them. He sees Lily as an exception so there's no guarantee that even her death would change his views on the rest.

He probably never outright voices it because he's tied himself to Dumbledore, but that doesn't mean he can't still hold those bigoted views deep down.

His treatment and bullying of Hermione doesn't make him look good either. Yes, she's an overzealous know-it-all who annoyed Snape, but I wonder if that was simply it or if his bullying of her was motivated by blood prejudice as well.

As far as I remember, there's nothing in canon that proves Snape is still a bigot, but there's nothing that disproves it either. Thoughts?

Honestly we aren't really told anything about his opinions about muggleborns and muggles during the books. If I had to guess, I'd say his opinions didn't change much. Lily was always an exception, so I don't think her death would change his opinion on muggleborns as a whole.

We see this outlook with Slughorn too:

“Your mother was Muggle-born, of course. Couldn’t believe it when I found out. Thought she must have been pure-blood, she was so good.” “One of my best friends is Muggle-born,” said Harry, “and she’s the best in our year.” “Funny how that sometimes happens, isn’t it?” said Slughorn. “Not really,” said Harry coldly.

He knows some muggleborns are brilliant and talented (like Lily and Hermione) but he considers them exceptions, not the common muggleborn. The perfect special muggleborn. The talented ones he cares about.

I think Snape is a little similar, if for completely different reasons. Slughorn looks down on muggleborns because of how unfamiliar with the muggle world he is. He's a pure-blood who was raised to think muggleborns have lower chances of being talented and exceptional.

Snape, on the other hand, has something very different going on in his head. I think he also has this tendency to look down on muggleborns, and he always had, but not for the same reason as Slughorn. In Snape's case, it comes from his hatred of muggles. Snape hates his father and the circumstances of his upbringing. He probably holds some resentment towards his mother for staying and raising him in a poor and abusive environment. And, it's not like Snape's mother was overly involved in his life either, he was allowed to just run around the streets alone since he was seven (or younger) and that was pretty much it.

Snape associated the muggle world with pain, humiliation, and neglect. And while the Wizarding World wasn't free of pain and humiliation, it was better. The Wizarding World came with magic, the ability to at least have a chance to defend himself, a chance at belonging (we Lucius except Snape into Slytherin easily when he arrives), and pride. Snape is an incredibly talented wizard and he knows it, and takes great pride in it.

So the wizard side of things was always the better one for him. The one he preferred to associate himself with (calling himself the "Half-Blood Prince" is an example of that). And I think his outlook on muggles and muggleborns is still somewhat colored by this even as an adult.

I think it did tone down since his youth, I don't think he's as extreme as he was when he joined the Death Eaters as a teenager, but I think he's still prejudiced against muggles and muggleborns (more muggles than muggleborns though), at least to a degree. I mean, these sorts of outlooks don't just change overnight. So, while I think Snape isn't advocating for muggleborns registration anymore, he still looks down on them and expects less of them, like, a subtler sort of prejudice.

I think Snape's bullying of Hermione is mostly for her know-it-all attitude, being friends with Harry, and being a Gryffindor (a whole different prejudice). But I think there is a little muggleborn prejudice in there too. I don't think it's the main issue he takes with her, but, like I said, it's unlikely he just completely got over it.

And, we see that looking down on muggles and muggleborns is pretty common in the wizarding world as I mentioned with Slughorn and while Dumbledore wouldn't be happy if Snape called muggleborns "mudbloods" he himself is just as prejudiced against muggles. He looks down on them like all of the wizarding world does, in subtler ways than the Death Eaters. So Snape probably wouldn't make an active effort to change his opinions. Even the Weasleys look down on muggles:

“Are they doctors?” he asked Ron quietly. “Doctors?” said Ron, looking startled. “Those Muggle nutters that cut people up? Nah, they’re Healers.”

All wizards, even the more muggle-accepting ones are pretty prejudiced, it's that ingrained into their culture. So much so that Hermione stopped talking about her parents even to her friends, the Weasleys' squib cousin is never mentioned, and confounding or obliviating muggles is considered harmless even though we saw it can cause harm even to wizards (Lockheart). The wizarding world is a very prejudiced place even if you don't go around shouting slures. So I think Snape still holds this baseline level of looking down on muggles and muggleborns their whole world seems to practice, but he isn't advocating for their registration and death anymore either.

I think PJ made Dan nervous at one point, a long time ago. There was never any actual threat to Dan and Phil's relationship, but I think insecure, sad, jealous-by-nature Dan saw funny, confident, cute PJ making Phil laugh and interacting with him with such ease and was a little nervous about it. Not now of course. Anyway, that's my hot take.

Okay see here's my take on this.

I think PJ was attracted to Dan for a while and he was the one made incredibly nervous by it. Go watch the behind the scenes video for The Pushover and tell me that PJ isn't extremely antsy for no discernable reason. the barks/rosa comics (since we can assume those are the comics being referenced) take place in the 1950s and ducktales takes place in the late 2010s so thats already a pretty big jump. scrooge and goldie are very different characters. fenton doesnt exist in the comics and gyro is an unrecognizably different character. also louie wouldve never had a story separate from huey and dewey.

Many people prefer Law over Kid viewing him as more attractive 🥴. What makes Kid in my eyes much more attractive is his passion and temper. I think one of the best parts about One Piece is that the cast is so vast there is always *someone* a person can connect with - in a lot of different ways too!

I don't think the story of how Tom got the diary is a particularly interesting one.

Harry turned to the back cover of the book and saw the printed name of a variety store on Vauxhall Road, London. “He must’ve been Muggle-born,” said Harry thoughtfully. “To have bought a diary from Vauxhall Road. . . .”

So, Tom got the diary in a muggle store on Vauxhall Road, which is a street in London (irl the closest is Vauxhall Bridge Road from what I saw). We know he bought it in the summer of 1942 (the summer before his 5th year) or earlier since he turns it into a Horcrux in June 1943 and doesn't return to the Orphanage at Christmas (I explain the timeline here).

The most interesting aspect of this is where Tom got the money? He's a poor, orphan, who we're led to believe wouldn't have money for anything extra (assuming he receives money for his Hogwarts stuff). And I don't see Tom asking his rich pure-blood housemates for money.

So, there are a few possibilities:

He saved up some spare change on the side to buy it for himself (considering the depression, the war, and the rations I don't see why he'd spend money on a notebook and not, idk, food? Magical books and items he wants?).

He stole it from the store (which I'm sure is what Dumbledore believes).

With the bombings that hit London throughout these years Tom was at Hogwarts, it's possible he just picked it up. There was chaos and mess and he might've lived on the streets for a certain period during his summers in London (some historical context is discussed in this reblog chain). So, it's very much possible he didn't buy it or take it from the store but just found it, without intentionally stealing it from anyone. In that way, the diary could be more sentimental and meaningful to turn into a Horcrux. Since it's a notebook that survived the bombs. The diary is a sign of survival — it survived like Tom did. So, I think he'd get even more attached to it if this was its story. Also, an item symbolizing survival is all the more meaningful to turn into a Horcrux.
