Been thinking about that discourse over Eddie smelling bad and

I agree with everyone saying that this is incredibly gross and classist and just generally incorrect, but this ain’t about that. Someone said, offhandedly as a joke, that Eddie “doesn’t use 9-in-1 shampoo” and I had a thought. I get those a lot.

Imagine that yes, he doesn’t use ‘9-in-1,’ but he does use a very generic store brand shampoo. Which works perfectly well! His hair is clean, shiny, and smells amazing. I’ve used the generic stuff many times in my life and my hair has never been anything less than fucking fabulous. But our dear Farrah-Fawcett-Spray boy Steve gets very Shocked Pikachu Face about it.

They get into an (extremely mild) argument over this, with Steve reasoning that proper hair care is important, and Eddie countering that he’s done it this way for X amount of years already and his hair is FINE thank you very much (a fact that Steve, with how much he loves running his fingers through said hair when they’re in bed, should be well aware of).

Until Steve, caught up in the moment (or so he says later), turns to Wayne, who’s sitting off to the side reading a newspaper, and says “Wayne, back me up on this!”

And Wayne - beautiful, balding man that he is - slowly lowers his paper and says, completely deadpan, “Son, look me in the eye and then ask me that again.”

(Years later, Eddie still won’t let Steve live it down, and bringing it up just gets even funnier to him the older (and balder) Wayne gets.)

Menelaus rambles a lot about not only Helen, but also Hermione. About how she used to say Olive like "Olifs". How she lost her first tooth running too fast and running into a low branch while out with Helen. How he'd sometimes wake up to Hermione leaning over him and poking his face to say, "Dad, can we go see the horses?" even though it was barely daylight. How she was much nicer waking Helen and how he thinks Hermione did that on purpose because she found "dad's face funny". How her favorite color was every color.

And Odysseus listens.

And he thinks about how his son only had a few teeth coming in when he left, teething on everything. How he could only say one syllable with his babbles. How his son needed balance to stand but Odysseus was so proud that Telemachus was very good at rolling over. How his son loved pulling at his and Penelope's hair.

How his son would be talking, walking, maybe even lost his first tooth by now. And he doesn't even know if he'll ever know his son's favorite color.

Yep. I think she drowned her once, then Leopardstar lunges up refreshed, and she gets the upper paw on Mistyfoot with 2 lives to go.

(MAYBE tw gore, but I really did try to be tasteful about a head being smashed on a rock.)

On her back, splashing and thrashing furiously against Leopardstar's claws dunking her head under, Mistyfoot glimpses a wave breaking just over the tip of a stone-blue rock. Her only chance.

With a surge of power, her claws sink into her leader's golden shoulder and they tumble and roll to the right. Before the tyrant even realizes what's happening, she's yanked up, and then whipped backwards with a wet CRUNCH

And then again

And again

And again, until Mistyfoot can't even make out what's left of her leader anymore. All she can see is that it's a red, brown, and yellow blur, because her eyes burning with salty tears and her whole body is trembling.

She drops the corpse onto the stone and it slides into the water, lifelessly. After a moment it spasms aimlessly one last time, like an insect does after its head is bitten off, unlike the deliberate, agonized throes of Tigerstar suffering through his doomed lives. And then it's still.

There's only the tranquil sound of bubbling water, and Mistyfoot's frenzied panting. Her pounding heart makes it hard to hear either.

The blood is carried off by the shallow water in scarlet swirls, but the lake runs pale red as if it's washing it away. Some were aware of this prophecy, but Mistyfoot was not.

It isn't closure to her, or a fulfillment of divine decree. It's just blood that should be on her paws, slicked away by the complicit river. She wished it could feel like it's over, but she's smart enough to know the truth. Has been through enough terrible events like this to understand what comes next.

Her body will move foward. Her mind will need to consider her deputy. Her paw will come down on code-defying cats like Blackclaw and Greenflower. But her heart will stay here, next to the remains of Leopardstar, the same way another piece of it remains at Stonefur's side across space and time.

Characters eat like Chao in Chao garden in Sonic. The characters can eat the food, but they can't digest it.

Jax's favorite food is spaghetti.

Pomni likes salmon.

Q "Was the ending a 'Last Supper' reference?" A "in a very superficial kinda way yeah." Religious stuff is sometimes just used for the funny.

Gooseworx tumblr sketches MAY or MAY NOT be canon to the series, so it's up in the air for every single one.

People can abstract from feeling too much pain if it breaks their mind from it being too much. Characters feel pain from things, but not as intensely as they would in real life.

Zooble is gonna swap parts every episode (implying they have spare parts) except their body & head.

Jax chose his own name & gooseworx likes to think he chose Gangle's name.

Ragatha was named "Emmy" originally.

They (the cast of characters trapped in the circus) can't change their clothes but Caine can. It's part of their skin sorta kinda.

There's empty space under Pomni's hat because video game model physics.

Spamton was partially inspo for Caine, Caine's VA did Spamton dubs.

Gangle only has 2 masks. Why's it (her hapiness mask) break all the time? Mental state, but the "real her" is "harder to break."

Kaumfo was gonna be part of the main cast originally before Jax.

Kaufmo's model has nothing below the waist at this time, but was made for that promotional image on twitter.

Q "What kinda person was Kaufmo?" A "He was the same as Ragatha in a sense, goofy & cheery, sometimes toxic levels of positivity."

I know oda just choose birthday by names but thinking about cross guild and the moment buggy hears mihawks birthday date and it hits him what day it is. He could ignore this damned day and now he meets a reminders its existence.

I don’t think mihawk would celebrate but hope you get me. I need buggy to suffer and not be able to do anything with the fact that first time in years he’s forced to acknowledge the date that for so long was his only friend special day.

He realizes what day it is and he is awfully quiet and less assertive because he won't stop thinking about Shanks. But not in the way he usually thinks about him (angry and extremely insufferable), more in a melancholic, sad, post-breakup way he only feels when it's his birthday. Because he remembers Shanks' birthday and how they celebrated when they were kids. He remembers that there were times in which they were actually happy and couldn't imagine a future without the other.

Then Mihawk tells him that it's his birthday (for some reason. He actually never says it. Perhaps they find out another way) and I think it'd be extremely angsty if Buggy just?? Was angry at Mihawk for no reason?? The swordsman doesn't understand anything but Buggy is feral when he is around him instead of actually being scared or just, you know, sassy. He is actively angry.

Mihawk doesn't get it. And tbh, Buggy doesn't get it either. It is something he can't control. It just happens. It just makes him angry that somebody else has Shanks' birthday. Not because it makes him think about the redhead (although that is also something to add there) but because he is still a bit possessive of the date. As if nobody but Shanks and his memories of when they were friends should own this day.

(lately I've been thinking about what happens to them after, once the whole brain worms thing has been taken care of. I think they'd stay in Baldur's Gate for a while, fix up that one lil house that you see in the camp in low town. Jaheira probably tries to recruit Khael in the Harpers, which he always declines, but he does help out. he's mostly interested in information and connections, as he's looking for a way to let Astarion walk in the sun. Astarion remains hopeful, but much more interested in making a new life for himself than trying to get rid of his sunlight sensitivity.)
