Waxing lyrical about my own writing (+ tags) under the cut:

Two very very different vibes and character voices! Kim's patterns of thought come much more easily to me because I love poetry, metaphors and symbolism, and they really fit his tone as a melancholic songwriter type and fill the gaps where he isn't talking (and let's be real, Big isn't much of a talker either haha). He also presents a lot of emotions in very 'objective' ways, that style of semi-unreliable narration lines up with how he sees the world. He believes he's unlovable and undesirable so be bends over backwards to justify it. There's a passage above this one where he thinks about how Chay couldn't really want him because he doesn't actually know all sides of him, and now when he's presented with the idea that someone knows and seemingly wants him it feels good for a second and then he chalks it up to Big being in love with Kinn (true) and only wanting Kim as a kind of substitute (not true).

But Pat's voice is so different! It's much simpler and straight-to-the-point and honest-but-oblivous in a way that's really fun to play around with, and what he lacks in metaphors he makes up for in actions that line up with subconscious desires eg. wanting to be close to Pran so instinctively pulling him into a confined space and pressing up against him! It's hard writing the earlier stuff before he's properly started catching feelings: trying to make Pat notice details about Pran that the audience can read into, without Pat blatantly ignoring the big glaring "Pran Is In Love With You" banner floating 2ft above his head at all times.

So I was inspired by the search by designer function to make an outfit where every part of it was designed by one character and I decided that the best place to start was with my girl Nikki, so I came up with this.

(full disclosure I did fudge it slightly with the makeup to give me options that weren't from the star sea, so makeup where there was no designer listed or makeup brands from the guild were allowed, but things explicitly designed by another character weren't. I just like having options I think that's fair)

Regardless though it was a fun time and I think I captured her spirit with this outfit. Help me decide who to do next. I'm thinking Lilith or Ashley could be fun (and yes I do count them as separate characters, but even if I didn't their outfits and reflections count them as different people so I would still count them separately here for the sake of what's left of my sanity if there is any of it left at all) Momo could also be fun because his outfits are very cute and silly, but what do you guys think

I finally watched Prime Suspect 3 yesterday...and I’m wrecked.

So yesterday evening I’d finished some work, I was tired, it was getting late...I thought I’ll just watch something fun and have an early night. And I remembered seeing some pictures of Peter Capaldi dressed as Marilyn Monroe, so I was like, yeah, let’s watch that thing, it’s a crime/mystery thing plus there’s PCap in a drag so that’s gonna be fun...

...which is how I found myself huddled under a blanket at midnight bawling my eyes out over what has to be one of Peter’s most emotional perfomances.

I mean the vividness of Vera’s fear and the deep trauma...I was not prepared for that

I’m wondering: are you at all planning on getting your fics off of ff.net and locking them to user only on ao3? I’ve seen a lot of writers do that in lieu of the evil evil robot overlords; le AI, since locking them to user only prevents scraping and stuff.

Honestly? I hadn't considered it before, no. I didn't even know other authors were doing that until you mentioned it. But truthfully, I probably won't.

It's just...not too big a deal for me? I guess? The idea of my stuff being copied/taken by an AI and their behind-the-scenes puppet masters is funny to me more than anything. My fics are either hit or miss, and the more popular ones seem to be good enough that I'm sure someone would tell me if they saw a doppelganger or funhouse mirror version of it somewhere. Not to mention my sporadic update rate. Anyone planning on copying from me is in for a bit of a rude awakening, ahaha. And if the intent is to scrap it? I was around for the big FF.Net purge way back when, and I've seen a few fanfic sites come and go over the years. So, even if I hadn't already been in the habit of saving my stories externally from the sites I post them on, it's well ingrained at this point. If any of my fics ever got deleted, I'd just post them again. I've already republished two of my older Lunaescence fics that got lost in the void of the internet, so while doing it with other fics would be annoying, it wouldn't be the end of the world. Would I be sad to lose all the reviews/kudos/likes they'd collected? Of course. I really enjoy getting feedback from all of my readers, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't constantly reread them (they give me boosts in serotonin/motivation). But in the end, I think the most important part for me is that everyone can enjoy what I write without restrictions, even something as simple as AO3's user lock. I just have to trust that it'll work out.

It feels so weird being in a relationship when I been single for such a long time. Like I legit can’t stop smiling and can’t stop thinks about her, like is this normal does it go away at one point?!? Before yeah we were friends nothing more but a single day can happen and bam we both like each other (maybe there was some crushing just neither of us realized then?!?) like yesterday I was thinking about how man sometimes I wish I could just fall in love and be in a happy relationship and now I am?!? I don’t know even how to date someone, the only time even recently that me and another girl liked each other we couldn’t even date because of her mom and that was years ago! What do couples even do? My mom says to take it slow but I don’t even know how slow or fast, like we just started dating and she called me honey so I called her love I don’t even know if I should have called her that or waited for like idk at least a few more days into dating her?!? Like I wish there was a handbook that said “hey for you bisexual who’s dating your friend in high school here’s what to do” because like none of the videos I can find match what I’m looking for because yeah sure they’re all made for talking about how to date someone but like it’s either talking about dating a boy when you’re a girl in high school or dating a girl as a girl out of high school, and the ones I watched at least barely even brings up being friends before, even then most of the time it’s about crushes. Idk I have a lot of feelings like I’m absolutely over joyed and love my gf but at the same time I don’t know if I’m doing any of this right or what I even should be doing

(Bruce flew to Metropolis in a helicopter when he got the news. He found Clark ashen and trembling at Lois’ side, eyes clenched shut as she screamed. He slid into place like he’d never been missing, talking Lois AND Clark through it like he delivered babies every day of the week)

First batch of this little series, inspired by @petitprincess1's idea! I couldn't get this scenario out of my head so of course I drew it.

Get ready because it will have at least 8 pages! Probably my longest comic yet

There will be some angst but the violence will overall be canon-typical!

As a person of colour, Toshiro is so unbelievably relatable once you realize the reasons and emotions behind his actions. He's been microaggressed upon p much all the time down to the name people call him, but he continues to be silent about it because of the cultural pressure he was raised on of having to be polite and kind and not to speak his true thoughts.

I can relate so hard to his jealousy about laios being able to be more open and confident and speak his mind. I can never bring myself to dislike him at all esp during the laios/toshiro fight because both of them are coming from very real relatable places to me. Its a nuanced conflict. Toshiro has a lot of pent up emotions he needed to get out for all the reasons i said before. And laios was rightfully upset about Toshiro not seeing him the same way he sees him and hiding all of this from him. Both of these guys are in the wrong in this situation. It's not a good guy / bad guy thing.

They both are different kinds of autistic people under different circumstances and I can honestly relate to them both on different things.

Also the scene right after dude gives him the bell and gives them a way out if things were to get bad. And with that we see he obviously cares for laios and the rest of the party despite everything.

All in all. Love u Toshiro they could never make me hate u !!
