So apparently the short story "Death And Texas" was purposefully left out of the newest edition of "Armageddon Outta Here".

It's not just me, this is actually an incredibly shitty thing to do, isn't it? It's bad enough he keeps retconning the main story, now he apparently retconned an entire short story into being non-canon?

See? Things like this are why I don't respect canon anymore.

Thanks for the tags @crinkle-eyed-boo and @alwaysxlarrie ! I did actually write a little today, so here's a snippet from my sequel to Ace of Spades for @sevenseasofharryandlouis ...

Louis leaned against a black marble pillar at the edge of Lord Wyndham’s ballroom, sipping a cognac and watching his mate dance with an alpha who looked entirely too charmed by his husband. That was the way these balls tended to go. His alpha wished to monopolise Harry’s time and attention, but he knew that ton etiquette required that he share his lovely omega for at least a dance or two. Being a duke had its drawbacks. “Are those the Tomlinson emeralds then?” Zayn stood beside him, his long inky hair braided in a plait that ended half way down his back. He rarely left Louis’ side at events such as these, certain that any encounter with a member of the ton would lead to nothing good. He wasn’t necessarily wrong on that.  “Yes,” Louis answered, glancing at how the emeralds of Harry’s necklace shone on his exposed neck and chest. “They look quite fetching on him, matching his eyes as they do.” “Do you suppose anyone noticed they match his eyes? Or are they all looking at his—” Louis shot him a glare. “Perhaps you’d like to stop there.” Zayn chuckled under his breath, but did indeed stop his line of thought. “If you’re to dance with Harry next, I’ll take a walk in the gardens. I’ve had enough stares for one night.”

Hi hun, at the moment I'm still unsure of when I'll be posting the next instalment but I'm hoping to get a bit of writing done over the Christmas/New Year break xx

AOH 2.0, Chapter Twenty-Three

Believe it or not, but it's a new chapter of this rewrite! It's only been, what, six months? Nah, that's nothing! More seriously, I'm sorry it's been so long, and as usual, no promises for the future. I've been really busy; maybe it'll continue, maybe not. Who knows? In any case, enjoy the chapter!

It does seem like a very weird, dicey move to just try to memory hole a story  he already released so he can write it again in a different way later, or whatever he’s going to do with it, yeah.

Where is this story and what happens in it? I don’t remember it. A lot of Landy’s short stories kinda bore me. Quickly checked my (old) edition of AOH and it’s not in that.

Luckily I have many better books to be reading, like the one in my hand right now and the pile on the corner of my desk. Speaking of my old AOH edition, it’s starting to get that slightly acidic smell that tells me the crap paper in it is beginning to deterioriate.

I’m more worried about better books, but I really wish generic bookshop paperbacks were more archival. I’ve seen what happens to them after a few decades and I don’t like it. Would it kill these fuckers to use acid-free paper so I can hand books to my hypothetical grandchildren in similar condition to when I first read them?

I think “Death and Texas” is the one with the razor worms. It’s only in the second edition of AOH and I have the first so I don’t have it either.

Yeah, I just.... you can’t just unrelease a story??? Each day I loose more respect for him which is kinda impressive since I stopped respecting him years ago.

Wtf none of my books ever smelled like acid?? Then again, I read them once and never again, so apart from bends in the spines they are in pretty good condition. Do only the paperbacks do that or do the hardbacks do that too? Bc I’m gonna loose my mind if my Dark Souls artbook starts rotting away :’C
