All of that was undone in an instant as Astarion was put on display and proclaimed not his caregiver’s sweet little boy, but a small, pathetic, weak little child who could never be more than what he depended on others for.
He could give it more thought, spin his wheels more, but he was so… tired. It was such a nice feeling. So nice, at some point, he started crying. They snuck into the corners of his mouth, pooling between his lips and making his nose wrinkle at the salty taste.
And suddenly, that salty taste was all he could focus on. Surrounding him, poking at his tongue like needles, stinging his eyes somehow, overpowering his senses—it was the worst taste. Polnareff x Reader (One shot)
Okay, so I´ve always said that this man is like my husband and husband material. So not only do I always say that he's the ONE, I thought, how would it go down if he proposed to the self-insert character?
Warnings: It's literally just fluff.
Word count: 547
It's been about a good full year since you and Polnareff have been dating and a lot has happened. One day you were just a normal 19-year-old just trying to get through life, then the next year you´re 20 years old stand user that helped the other crusaders defeat a 100-year-old vampire, and then ended up dating the man you love most.
Now you are in Paris at Jean's beautiful apartment that looks like a small piece of a mansion.
And wake up to the sun shining through the curtains hitting your back and onto Jean´s beautiful rested squishy sleepy face in his pillow.
You smile to yourself at the thought of how lucky you were to even end up with him.
Tired but filled with enough energy to go get ready to make coffee at 7 in the morning. You place a kiss on Jean´s cheek and head to the bathroom.
Heard muffled noise from the sleeping man, not understanding exactly what he said.
Ẅalkin into the bathroom with a big yawn rubbing your eyes. Until you noticed something on your left hand. Taking a good look at your ring finger, rested a rose gold diamond ring.
My heart nearly stopped and hyperventilation took over.
¨wha-- Jean?!¨
Turning around only to be met with a tall figure leaning on the door frame smiling at you with one of the most genuine smiles you´ve ever seen him make.
“What's this?”
You asked him freaking out
“Can I get a better look at that?”
Not knowing if this was real or not he gently took your hand and traced his fingers around the ring, laughing to himself a little. He looks into your confused eyes.
“It's a perfect fit.”
“Polnareff-”
he cuts you off by placing a finger on your lips to silence you.
He holds your left hand with both of his big hands. As he kept eye contact with you, he slowly got down on one knee and started crying a bit.
Your jaw started to drop as you put a hand on your mouth, and then tears started to well up in your eyes.
“(Y/N), this past year with you has been an amazing adventure, you´ve made my heart feel so many things that I´ve never felt before, you´re always so full of amazing surprises...and I love you so dearly. I don't want any of those things to ever end and so with that, will you, Y/n L/n, be by my side for more adventures, and marry me?”
Pausing for a moment, then letting the tears fall, you knew exactly what to do.
“Yes.”
“REALLY?”
“YESSS!”
Now having the biggest smile on both of your faces you both start to laugh as you each place a hand on both cheeks of each other and kiss patiently, smiling in the kiss as you both laugh again. Then Jean picks you up and spins you around you then rapping your legs and arms around him still kissing his forehead as he keeps yelling
“OH MY GOD YES YES YES SHE SAID YES AAAAA!”
Laughing at his comment as you also yell
“I KNOW, WE’RE GOING TO HAVE A BIG WEDDING, BIG HOUSE, LOTS OF KIDS, AND GROW OLD TOGETHER, OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!!”.

AAAAA okay these films WHACKED the mini-hyperfixation button!!! here we go
SO Cecelia Condit (the director of both Possibly In Michigan AND Beneath The Skin) based both short films off her real life experiences??? I watched an interview with her and went wiki diving and WOWZA
uhhh TW for like. murder? and a suicide attempt.
so from what I can find online, Cecelia dated a guy for about four years. His name was Ira Einhorn, but in her video Beneath The Skin she calls him Ike. Before she dated him, he had an ex girlfriend named Holly Maddux. They had split it off not long before Ike got with Cecelia, but in her video she says it was pretty mutual. So Ike and Cecelia date for about two years, at which point Ike tells Holly that if she doesn't come get her things from his house he'll throw them out. So Holly comes from New York to get her things and isn't seen after that. Ike is investigated for obvious reasons, but police don't have enough evidence to search further.
Two years later, an investigator hired by Holly's family finds out the people living under Ike's apartment have been complaining about a "rotting smell coming from the closet ceiling". Presumably he brings this to the police, because not long after that Ike's house is searched and they find a trunk in his closet that has the decapitated and partially mummified remains of Holly. Cecelia says that the head was shoved so far down into the chest cavity that it was originally thought to be missing.
Cecelia says in an interview that her art projects (in particular PIM) really helped her heal and move on from things, which makes me think the scenes of Sharon dreaming of being a corpse is probably a representation of survivor's guilt (though that's just my personal, non-professional thoughts) because Cecelia goes into how she wasn't mad about Ike killing Holly, but how she was mad about what Ike did or didn't do to her. Even though I've never personally experienced survivor's guilt, my long term SPIN about psychology has given me enough information that it's awful and takes a long time to heal.
Anyway, Ike (aka the Unicorn Killer because Einhorn means unicorn in German) skipped bail and was a fugitive for 17 years. He lived in Europe, married, and was finally extradited to the USA in 2001 after a lengthy and complicated extradition process. He tried to kill himself at one point to avoid jail. He just recently died in jail in 2020.
Cecelia says in her video how the blankets that Ike would give her when she'd stay over laid on the chest that Holly's body was in. The only reason she couldn't smell the corpse was because she was on medications at the time that took away her sense of smell.
Despite that all being extremely fucked up, it puts Possibly in Michigan in a whole new light. A lot of the strange symbolism suddenly makes a lot more sense and I'm glad Cecelia has found healing through her films.
Also, some more light hearted funfacts.
Cecelia only got permission to film in the mall before opening time by sitting in the mall office and refusing to leave before she got permission.
The guy who plays the Prince Charming was a friend of one of the actresses. Cecelia mentioned they'd need a knife and he pulled one out of his boot. Cecelia jokingly said "oh, do you have a gun too?". He did.
According to one comment on YouTube, Cecelia is down with the idea of Sharon and Janice being in a wlw relationship. I haven't checked this for myself because there's a bajillion comments and it's 3:30 AM.
Cecelia named Arthur that because it sounds like "Art Her" and she wanted to represent that art is sometimes used against women to put them down. She is also the person who wears the creepy mask in the mall scenes!

WITH THE WHOLE AKANE THING i think a lot of people r quick to hate bc of what she said to koko abt "oh ill wait for you " or smth which i can kind of understand because there honestly wasnt a whole lot of detail/scenes w her to rlly know their dynamic, yk? i mean on a surface level it definitely comes off as creepy, but honestly like you said, what was she supposed to do in that situation ? sure, she didnt rlly handle it correctly, but shes kind of sweet girl that would feel terrible about breaking kokos heart !! i feel like to truly get a good sense of what happened and to really 'pass judgement' (that sounds so cringe ) on her, we would rlly need to see more of their interactions !! but i really don't think that she was exactly encouraging kokos feelings and was actually serious about 'waiting for him', she probably just said that to not hurt his feelings !! wish we saw more of the seishu/koko/akane backstory tbh <//3
tokyo revengers girls sukeban WOULD LITERALLY END EVERYTHING BC OF HOW GOOD IT WOULD BE !!!! honestly though theres sooo many spin offs we need, like the current one w baji and chifuyu is so amazing and i want all of these little prequel moments and stories bc i want to see more of everyone !! & wakui pls give all the girls interactions tgt bc i know they would be bsfs !! first up the Bald Bitch herself:
honestly, i really wanted to like Kronika more than i actually do. she is a very interesting villain, and a unique spin on normal MK baddies. she's very manipulative, which i love in a devious character, and i love her design. but a lot of my gripe with her comes, again, from the way the character was written. there's a lot of ways she could have really mucked with the Defender's plans a lot more, and i do feel that there were some plot holes in her story. but that's bc, besides MK's spotty track record with writing, it's genuinely hard to write a character that is omniscient in that way. it's one of my biggest issues with my OC, Sai. it's hard to write someone who can muck about with time, especially while also trying to not make them completely unstoppable AND not too OP. i dont think they did a BAD job with her, per se, the main game's ending was miles better than the dlc's imo, but i was left a bit underwhelmed for how cool she seemed at the start.
overall, while she's not my cup of tea, i think she's an interesting character and a real attempt to branch out from just "bad guy who wants to merge all the realms bc he's subtly being manipulated by something bigger than himself".

i both love and hate Erron. i love the outlaw cowboy thing SO MUCH, i love Troy Baker's voice(even if he is an NFT-shilling nerd) and i love that he sticks to outworld over earthrealm. however, i also love to give MK11 Erron ALL of the shit, bc as a Native Texan, i can tell you that all of his sayings are real old-timey Texanisms, and the fact that he talks like my Pawpaw did is fucking hysterical to me, and also takes away any sex appeal he could possibly have for me.
also, the MK11 outfits aren't that great. they really Yeehawified the shit out of him in 11. too much cowboy and not enough outlaw. also, the Uncle Sam fit? whoever thought of that, turn on your location, we need to talk. and! the accent isn't Texan. it's American Southern for sure, but not Texan. if they could take the best of both worlds, give him back his sass and at least SOME normal speech, and add back some of that "mysterious outlaw rebel" charm he had, but also give him a legitimate Texan accent? i'd be so fucking happy.
also, idc if he's canonically been with Skarlet and Nitara. he gets NO bitches. man can't win a fight to save his life and he speaks like an old man, plus almost every other woman in canon dislikes him or flat out calls him ugly. no bitches.
@roofgeese and i sometimes just yell in all caps about Erron. usually to make fun of him. it's wonderful. i love him and i want to put him in the dishwasher and put it on steam clean.

I saw the repeating "pick me up again" lines as representative of Omori resetting Headspace over and over again in a desperate attempt to keep Sunny happy and to keep him in the dream world
"The gray and white symbols that you see on the screen won't get across the loneliness that I feel!" made me so fucking sad!! omori really has no one that can truly be there for him, both in the dream world and the real world, which he's completely barred from sans Sunny, and it's just AAAAA
I don't wanna spend too much time on this but theres so many other lyrics that stand out to me that fit Omori so well this song is just. so him
As for Poems of the Machine, I definitely think this one fits him too! Comparing Omori to a machine/robot has always made sense to me cause he's also an emotionless being effectively created to do one thing and one thing only.
"Only your time passes by" I can see as a reference to how the dream world is forever looping through one adventure while time actually passes in Sunny's reality
"Maybe I'll try getting drunk, maybe I'd cry for help from the top of my simulated lungs" made me SO SAD I can vividly imagine Omori breaking down when he finally gets a chance to, about everything he's had to suffer through as Sunny's protector

Hope rev is ready for a very special trick or treater!
"Eh..? Someone's coming? It's, someone we know, right?" Reverie inquired, worried at the possibility of someone discovering them who wouldn't be happy to. His worries were quickly pushed aside as his daughter zoomed past him. "WIZ IS COming o v e r-" Beep shouted as she sailed back out of the cave. The dream fae blinked, processing what she'd said. "Holy sh-actually?? That's why you've been-that's awesome!!!" He exclaimed.
'Friend?' Orbee asked quizzically. As she zipped back in, Beep grabbed her sibling, swinging them and spinning them like they were dancing. "They are a friend and-and I’m so excited and aaaaaaaaAAAAAAAA-" She shrieked, unable to contain her enthusiasm. Though the solosis wasn't used to her acting this way, they giggled as they spun around. 'Aaaaaaaaa!!!' They mimicked, happy that she was so happy.
The nervous, frantic energy was infectious and the dream fae was suddenly unsure what to do with himself. "Ah, I'll, um, I'll clean up, then! What do-that's what you do when people come over, right?" Reverie questioned, half to himself. Beep nuzzled Orbee close before going back to zooming about. "I dunno I duNNOOOOOO-" She yelled and it was clear that she wasn't exactly sure how to handle how she was feeling. Not that it slowed her down.
"Aaaaa!! I'll do it anyway!!" Reverie found himself raising his voice, too. Still giggling from the sudden affection, the solosis zipped over to their father. 'Orbee help!!' They insisted, their sister screeching to a stop right behind them. "Y-yeah! Whaddwe do-" Beep stumbled over her words. "Um, sweep? Yeah, we can sweep up! There's a lot of gravel to sweep." The dream fae realized, surveying the cave floor. She nodded violently, turning her attention back to her personal hivemind. "Wiz, we’re gonna make the cave so clean and Orbee is so excited to see you and so is dad and-"
"Ah! Maybe I should wait outside, then?" The matter froze in place. That voice wasn't in her head, it came from the cave's entrance. The trio all turned to look at once. In the cave's opening floated a figure about the same size as Beep. They were clad in a blue, gold, and white cloak with gear iconography and held their floating hands in front of them, rubbing them nervously. A cat-like ear flicked back to relieve some tension.
Reverie froze up as well. This, stranger very much did not look like a matter. Though, they did look familiar. Orbee stared wide eyed at the presence of a cool new friend. Beep didn't move. The matter, or perhaps the halcandran, darted his eyes between them. "…what's with all the weird looks?" Magolor asked. Beep floated forward slightly. "...Wiz?" She asked him and he nodded. "Ahaha… um, it's cause of how I look, right? Pretty good disguise, isn't it?" He offered, chuckling to try to make the situation less awkward.
A moment passed before Beep barreled into him at full speed. "WAUGH-" Magolor sputtered from the impact, unable to catch them both from landing on the ground. During the fall, she'd managed to wrap him in a hug, wide smile on her face. He paused, smiling back. "Wiz, this is Orbee and Rev and I’m Beep and you’re real-" She rambled, leaning her head towards her two family members.
Magolor waved a hand at them. "Hi!!" He greeted. 'Hi!!!' Orbee echoed right back. Reverie sighed, getting a grasp on the actual situation. She'd finally found someone. "Heya!" He waved back to him. The halcandran turned to look back at Beep, still grinning. "I am! A-and you are!!!" He enthusiastically agreed. "Wiz…" Beep murmured, just overjoyed that he was here. His smile softened. "It's, really really nice to meet you, Beep." He told her and she hugged him that much tighter. Soon enough, he returned it.

I am thinking very very hard about Moira and Jotaro's missed kiss. Where hes with her when she wakes up from her coma after pt 3 and scolds her for standing between him and Dio.

She heard his heart stop and was trying to beat Dio by herself so she could give Jotaro CPR. And they keep getting closer and closer and hes holding her hand, mindful of all the wires connected to her. And their noses are almost touching

Jotaro makes up for it at the airport because words hard and kisses Moira as a confession and goodbye after she goes on tippy toes to kiss his cheek ahfhdhsb

But let me be real I respect all jotaro ships, heck I have one, but Moira and Jotaro scratch an itch in my brain like no other ship.
I just know if it was canon in the anime I would literally cheer when they FINALLY get to kiss.
That goodbye kiss definitely had to HIT different than any other kiss in the world. The world would stop spinning for a moment, just got them.

Elle's Obey Me Fic Recommendations
🌸Your Coal by Angrish(LettuceBean)
Truth be told, I belong to the "forgive but don't forget camp" in lieu of what happened in Chapter 16; reading Angrish's YC and how their MC coped with the aftermath(+ how others coped along with them) felt really powerful, raw and so so emotional. It made me think and really think about how I processed the whole thing that happened. While it didn't really change my outlook on how I have forgiven Belphie for what he had done, Angrish shedding light to the unanswered questions and lingering doubts the main story have left most of its readers was done in such a thoughtful and poetic way that I found myself binge reading the whole thing.
Given that I read this whole coping with a lot of stuff as well (and may have contributed with sympathising a lot more to the vindictiveness of the MC), reading what Angrish had written was really cathartic. Their writing style is also beautiful--the way the words string together, simple, elegant, yet impactful really made MC's emotions a lot...tangible, real and sometimes, frustrating (in a good way, mind you). I also liked how they had fleshed out the other characters, especially Belphegor, Satan and the Purgatory Hall members.
🌸You'll Have to Ask Your Dad by DefenestrationProtestration
I remembered clicking on this fic because of the author's punny name, stayed for the pretty writing and reread a few several times for the characterisation and THE WRITING. I'm pretty sure I left a litany of praises and incomprehensible gushing on the comments section because of how much I've devoured this piece of art.
Even as I'm typing this review, I can't seem to organise my thoughts haha. You can tell by the writing style that the author had a lot of fun writing their prose; it permeates through the screeen...my "screen" of imagination at least. I am not joking--the writing is so pretty and vivid that I literally saw it as a movie in my head lol. I chatted with them a bit on the comments and they said the prose is more of something they had written subconsciously; it reminded me of James Joyce and how he had masterfully perfected the same technique. Of course, their writing styles differ a lot from each other, but I can see what they meant.
...as I'm typing this, I didn't realise how I haven't talked about the plot of the fic at all soz. This piece is the author's character study of Lucifer. It talks about how he was before, during and after the fall. He is a bit of an unreliable narrator, which I'm not sure if the author intended, but he has all these presumptions that miss the mark so so much, particularly at how his brothers, Lord Diavolo and the others perceive him--but reading the whole thing would make you understand why he had gotten to that kind of self-perception in the first place. And honestly? It really, really hurt to read. But was it bad? The total opposite of that, in fact! I loved how they had written the angst in this piece. So many things in the fic are "show, rather than tell" and I really really appreciate that.
Most of my brainrot about this fic is better to be explored on your own. Overall, 10/10: a definite, recommended read.
🌸Fairy Tales for the Fallen by indiavolowetrust
I haven't fully devoured all of the stories in the collection yet, but the ones I've read (Her Name Was Thousand Eyes is my favourite) was such a really good spin on dark fairy tales (Obey Me style!). It reminded me of my childhood Little Mermaid picture book for some reason. Probably the writing style(the author's writing reads a lot like a storybook) The one I had was Hans Christian Andersen's (aka the OG) version and the ending was rather...dark for a 5 year old lol. It was a big part of my life though and was probably the precursor for my affinity with sad stories haha.
🌸TieGuanYin by Taciturn
Like tea on a tiring day, Taciturn's writing style feels very homey, cozy and familiar. I love rereading this oneshot when I'm having a shitty day and imagining myself having tea with Barbatos haha. Ever had pieces of art or literature that just...relaxes you when you consume it? This one is one of my, as the youngsters say, "comfort fic" haha.

I love unagis' fics.♡ I also love her Childe fics. The concepts she comes up with, as well as how she delivers it is *chef kiss*. Admittedly, I read this one when I was still a Satan stan, with all the suspicions and doubts about Solomon's intentions still rampant within me. Reading him blush and become flustered is CUTE and aaaaa this whole fic is just really cute.🥺♡
🌸The Eternal Storm by @sondepoch
Sondepoch's Satan oneshot was the very first fic I read in the OM fandom so it has a special place in my heart~ I remembered how awkward it was to skim through the Satan filters, looking for a gen fic/SFW fic because around that time, most OM fics are smut (no shade on smut ofc, I'm just super uncomfortable reading them unless the writing is really pretty or there's something else going on in the story). Finding GEN AND A WELL-WRITTEN CHARACTER STUDY about my (former) favourite OM character was like I hit the jackpot. I remembered that feeling really well haha. My bias with one of my favourite forms of fic (char. study) aside, Sondepoch's writing is easy on the eyes and is definitely a great entry for anyone who wants to be in the OM fandom.
🌸Read Me by GENE515
One of my more recent reads and definitely worth a mention!♡ Read Me was a beautifully written, heartfelt two-shot about Lucifer's love, which he tried his best to express in penned words. Probably because of my own love letter-themed OM series, this one really stuck to me haha. The author is also really sweet. :3
🌸Schrodinger by fickleminder
I read this one around Halloween and it definitely fit the occasion. Schrodinger was such a great thriller/horror fic with how it set its unsettling atmosphere from the very beginning--the way fickleminder's writing just sucks you in and makes you bystand the whole ordeal between Belphegor and MC was just...so suspenseful? Nail biting? Creepy (in a good way ofc)? I won't spoil the ending, but the process and way they tackled it was a lot scarier than what I was initially bracing myself for.
🌸Siberia by @polandspringz
Seeing another Obey Me mystery in AO3 really hyped me up! Polandspringz did a spectacular job in writing this series and I can relate so much with their experiences in writing for mystery. Their writing style is easy on the eyes--I also really liked how they characterised the OM characters I have read on their series so far. There's still quite a lot of stuff left in speculation (from my most recent reading at least), and I really look forward to see how everything unfolds!
🌸Tetris Syndrome by apocketfulofposies (NSFW)
I am very very uncomfortable with smut content, so the smut I've read can be counted on one hand. ;; That is to say, TS is one of the few smut that I really, really enjoyed. First of all, Levi's characterisation is on point. It was really really interesting to get in his head and read about his thought process. What is envy? And how much does the sin of envy really define him?
I really enjoyed Levi's internalisations, as well as the author's writing style. If you want smut with a brooding, jealous otaku boy, I really recommend this one!

Naturally, Victor was there (and so was Goldman who just wanted to go home I don’t get paid enough for this)
Towards the end of the party, you were drunk like nobody’s business
You could almost hear the “dummy” coming from him (he didn’t say it, but definitely thought it)
He was annoyed by your drunken habits of clinging to anyone in your proximity
THIS IS WHY HE MADE ANNA AND WILLOW SIT ON EITHER SIDE
He only liked it when you were drunk in front of him
“MC? Is that you?”
You look up to see a familiar face peering down at you, taking you back to your high school unrequited love years)
“Tony….!”
Still in your drunken stupor, you get up to hug him (Mr. CEO is shocked well this is an unexpected change of plans)
You turn around to introduce this new enemy friend to everyone else
“Erryone, dis is Tony! He’s…an…upperklassman from skool…and my first love!” (you’re slurring your words, but you just had to perfectly say the last line)
At this point, Victor is speed messaging his driver to get the car ready
The room goes in silence as everyone else darts back and forth between you and Victor (they can’t save you now)
As if you unintentionally realized the pressure from Pudding Chef, you fall asleep in Tony’s arms
“Oh..um…actually I liked you during high school, too. Maybe we could—“
You’re ripped apart taken from Tony’s arms as Victor picks you up, bridal style
“Sorry about that. My WIFE can be….a little too affectionate, sometimes”
“Oh, no problem…um…(he hesitates)…..w-wife?”
Victor hands Tony his LFG card
He has a separate design to use when chasing out potential rivals (it looks even more expensive than the normal ones)
Victor quickly nods back at him before leaving the restaurant, with you clinging close to his neck
He kisses the top of your head, walking to the car parked outside
“…….dummy….”
Goldman has to clean up the mess his boss just left behind I don’t get paid enough for this
Kiro
You were doing a segment on Kiro’s concert (which he begged Savin to invite you)
To not get in the way of the busy staff, you wait by the corner
Was it the tension in the air? You feel your throat drying up, in desperate need of a drink
As you feel your head spinning, someone comes up to you with an ice cold water bottle
“Hey, are you alright?”
“Thank you so much….I really needed—”
You look up, surprised to see your former crush in front of you
“To-Tony?”
“MC?” He grabs your shoulders, as if he’s making sure it’s really you
The two of you stare at each other for a while before you hear a familiar voice coming from behind you
“Eh? What’s going on? Having fun without me?”
You turn your eyes to him to happily greet the bubbly voice, but you don’t say anything. You can’t say anything
Kiro’s eyes aren’t smiling
“Ki-Kiro! Um…this is Tony…an upperclassman from my high school”
Kiro stares at him, glancing up and down before turning back to you
“Wow! He looks like someone who was popular with the girls…” (Tony can feel hostility, but doesn’t know from where)
“Um..yeah! He was really popular…and all the girls liked him…” (your voice trails off)
“Then did YOU like him too, MC?” (Kiro’s no longer fixing his gaze on you, but to the poor boy behind you)
“I…I guess I did….yeah…” (you’re looking down at your feet, unable to contain yourself within this awkwardness)
“I see….” (Kiro smiles at Tony before pulling you into an embrace, chin resting on your head)
“Well, TONY, it’s been….a pleasure meeting you…”
“Likewise….um…are you two—“
“Dating?” (you quickly look up to Kiro at this sudden change in tone what is he going to do now)
Without giving you time to think how to deny Tony’s question, Kiro cups his hands around your face and kisses your forehead
“YES. We ARE dating” (Tony just nods awkwardly, and walks off to the other side of the room)
“Kiro, since when were we dating each other?”
This time, he kisses you on the lips (literally takes your breath away)
“Starting. Today.”
Lucien
You were attending a fair hosted by Loveland University, with Lucien speaking as a guest of honor
He even picked out your outfit for today (saying it was his good luck charm or something)
You decide to look around by yourself before he goes on the stage
Behind, you hear a familiar voice calling your name (you turn around, almost dropping the bag of goods you collected from the stands
“Tony? Is that you?”
You excitedly rush to greet him, unaware that Lucien was watching you from the stage as his microphone was being set up
You spend so much time talking to Tony that you don’t realize it was nearly time for the guest of honor to speak
“Tony, were you always a student here? I don’t think I’ve seen you around campus”
“Actually, I heard there was a festival today….and remembered that you put down Loveland Uni as your first choice….so I thought I would be able to find you here….and ask you on a possible date?”
You can feel your face turn red as your former love confessed to you
“Oh…! Um…well…you found me!” (really? That’s all you could think of?)
Meanwhile, Lucien has already begun his speech while you were fumbling over this unknown man who approached you
He ends up finishing without you realizing (your thoughts were someplace else, anyways)
He’s waiting for an opportunity (which was given to him rather quickly)
“Thank you for listening. Are there any questions?” (he scans the crowd before selecting someone)
“Professor! Do you have a girlfriend?!”
Lucien is unfazed by this question and was about to fluff around the answer
But his eyes fall back on you, noticing your face turning red (he’s a little annoyed at this)
“Actually, she’s here with me today, in the beautiful butterfly sundress I picked out for her” (the outfit was meant so he could easily spot you, but this works out)
He directs the entire crowd over, and you finally realize the situation
Your entire body turns red this time, and Tony (realizing just who his rival was) says he has to go somewhere else and leaves
You don’t even answer him back, because your head was now occupied with Lucien (of course, he knows you’re thinking about him now)
You could never win against him
Gavin
The two of you were at your high school reunion, with your close classmates (he sat across from you so he can make sure you don’t drink too much)
You were sitting next to your old high school crush (the one you’ve liked for years)
Of course, you feel the intense death glare coming from Birdcop every time Tony passes you food
Minor almost peed his pants
You quickly became uncomfortable with Tony’s forwardness
Yeah you liked him in the past, but obviously it was different now (you want Gavin to realize, too)
You keep sending him signals that you’re not interested (awkwardly scoot your chair away)
He just views it as you being shy and promptly puts his arm around you
GINKGO BOY IS FURIOUS (the wind violently picks up outside, and all the windows start clattering)
The insides of your brain start losing focus as one of your friends brings up the forbidden statement
“MC, didn’t you have a crush on Tony before?”
The wind suddenly stopped (oh no.)
“Um, yeah….but not anymore!” (you look at Gavin, just hoping he understood the message)
He’s not even looking at you anymore (he’s piercing through Tony with his amber eyes why are they so still beautiful in this situation)
“Really? I never knew! Maybe we should start going out now!” (Tony, please, you’re making things worse)
Then Gavin stands up, gathering your stuff and ushering you to leave
He looks at you, as if he’s waiting for something
Oh. Right.
“Um, Tony? It’s true that I did like you before, but I’m sorry. I can’t go out with you. Actually, Gavin and I are—“
He spins you around and swiftly kisses you on the lips (Minor is squealing), raising his left hand interlocked with yours to proudly showcase the ring before saying with a definitive smirk
“ENGAGED”
He never let you go to the subsequent reunions after that
