For her husband, rather than putting together a scrapbook of their memories, Maddy wants to make some memories. So securing their Frankie with a safe babysitter, she sets up the movie theater - the largest screen in it - to play The Wall.
And not only that but having a little throw back to the rebellious stage that Agnes had gone through on a certain Halloween when she took whatever was offered, she brings a baggie of shrooms for the both of them to immerse themselves. Surround sound, crazy visuals, one of the best soundtracks in the world, and a bus on call to take them home cause she ain't driving - this Christmas present is gonna be wicked.

In the same "character acts like another character is being unreasonable for something that makes perfect sense if you actually think about it for 2 seconds" vein as "Vlad has every right to hate Jack given the man hospitalised then ghosted him for several years", I would probably hate Christmas if I had to listen to my parents scream at each other about the same pointless bullshit every year for 14 years too!

A/N: Cabin fever besties! I am delighted to share this first chapter of the cabin fever Christmas fic with you. I'm planning to have it all done by Christmas (but you know me, we'll see how that goes), and I'm planning POV's for each couple. I really hope you like it, and merry Christmas! ♡

“Remind me again why I’m up so early?”
Josh chuckled. “This was your idea, sleepyhead. Remember?”
You gave a dramatic sigh and leaned your head on his shoulder, and you were rewarded with a kiss on your forehead. Jake and Sparrow were in front of you in line, in equal degrees of still-waking-up drowsiness, and you could hear Sam and Danny talking and laughing about something behind you. Despite your slight early-morning grumpiness, you smiled; all six of you were on your way home to Frankenmuth for Christmas, and once the coffee kicked in, you’d all be full of excited, festive cheer.
You, Sparrow, and Danny had planned a surprise, last-minute trip to see Mama and Papa Kiszka, and a four a.m. flight on Christmas Eve was the only flight you could get. The boys had been delighted, and though you’d told Kelly so it wouldn’t be a complete surprise to have six people show up on their doorstep first thing in the morning, you had all agreed to keep it a surprise for Karen. You couldn’t wait to see the look on her face when she saw her boys, and the thought of how happy she’d be made everything worth it.
The security check went faster than you thought it would with all the people trying to get home for the holidays, and you were sitting at your gate with a coffee in hand in short order. Danny, Sparrow, and Josh sat on the floor by your feet as the rest of you lounged in the uncomfortable airport seats, the six of you making a tight circle as you woke up together and talked about your plans for the day.
“We have to take Sparrow downtown,” Danny said. “She hasn’t seen the world-famous Frankenmuth Christmas lights.”
Sam scoffed. “Yeah, Sparrow, you haven’t even seen the world-famous Frankenmuth Christmas lights.”
“I have so!” she protested with a laugh. “Just because I went to my grandparents’ for Christmas growing up doesn't mean I never saw the lights downtown.”
Sparrow had been a part of your friend group during high school, but graduation had brought distance until you’d fallen out of touch. You’d been reunited last winter, and you’d all welcomed her back into your friendship, this time as Jake’s girlfriend, with open arms and happy hearts.
“Yeah, but you haven't seen them on Christmas,” Josh said sagely. “You've never seen the singing tree, have you?”
“That sounds fake.”
Jake grinned. “Oh, it’s real, honey. And we’re going.”
You were still planning your outings as you boarded the plane, filing down the narrow aisle to your seats. Since you’d gotten your tickets last minute, you weren’t able to get seats all together; you were split up across different rows, but luckily Sam and Sparrow and the twins were paired together. It would have been too chaotic to trade seats and get the couples paired off, but none of you minded; all of you were close, and your friendship was a natural extension of your individual relationships.
You and Danny found your seats, and there was an older lady already settled in for a nap in the window seat. You were supposed to have the middle seat, but you hesitated.
Danny was putting your suitcase in the overhead bin for you and noticed your hesitation.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
You cast him an uncertain smile. “Sorry, I’m just...” You were feeling a little claustrophobic in the warmth of the cabin and the press of people, and the thought of being in the middle was only making it worse. “It’s a little tight.”
“Oh,” he said. “I’ll take the middle, then.”
“No way,” you protested. “You have freakishly long legs. You should be on the end.”
He laughed. “I don’t mind.” He met your eyes and gave you a sympathetic smile. “Really, kiddo. I’ll sit in the middle.”
Before you could protest again, he’d squeezed his broad frame into the middle seat.
“Thank you,” you said sincerely as you took your seat.
“No problem. As long as you share the candy you brought.”
You laughed and fished the half-eaten bag of gummy worms out of your backpack. “Breakfast of champions, right there.”
You and Danny spent the plane ride intermittently talking and dozing on each other’s shoulders until you landed. It was lightly snowing on the tarmac, and your excitement grew as you reunited with the rest of your friends by the gate.
“Did you survive without me, baby?” Josh asked, slinging his arm over your shoulders as you walked through the airport.
You smiled. “Barely. Did you have a good time with Jake?”
“Sure,” he said with a grin. “We got cocktails.”
“Joshua!” you laughed. “It’s not even six in the morning!”
“Just getting the festivities started,” he said innocently. He kissed your cheek. “I said we should go to that little diner for breakfast.”
“Oh, we should!” you agreed. “I can get that peppermint milkshake I’ve been craving.”
He chuckled. “It’s a little cold for a milkshake, baby.”
“It’s snowing, did you see?”
“I did. It’s a special welcome home present just for you.”
You smiled and pressed closer to him. He knew you were glad to be going back to your hometown; you’d moved to Nashville over the summer, and though it had been a good change, you’d missed Frankenmuth. Going home for the holidays was just what you needed.
When you'd gotten your luggage and your rental car, you all squeezed in for the forty minute drive to town. Danny was driving, the best out of all of you at driving on snowy roads, and the drive seemed to take no time at all as you sang along with the Christmas songs on the radio and pointed out landmarks to each other even though you all knew them by heart.
Though it was still dark out when you got to the diner, you snapped a picture of it with the disposable camera you’d gotten for the trip. It was a tradition to take one with you on road trips, and you’d put the pictures in the “family scrapbook” you all added to when you got home.
Once inside, the six of you piled into a corner booth and ordered coffee. This sleepy little diner had seen many late nights and early mornings with your friend group, and you were glad to be back under the glow of the soft neon lights, comfortably smushed next to the people you loved most.
Josh shared his menu with you. “I bet I know what you’re getting, baby. Besides your peppermint milkshake.”
“Same thing I always get,” you agreed. You ordered the eggs Benedict with hash browns when it was your turn and turned back to the conversation.
“I think we should go ice skating,” Sparrow said, her eyes lighted with excitement.
You smiled. “I think so too. I should warn you, though — your boyfriend hasn’t gotten any better at it since highschool.”
“It’s true,” Jake said ruefully. “But we can just skate very slowly around the Christmas tree in the middle and hope I don't fall.”
She gave a wry smile. “Does that tree sing on Christmas too?”
You laughed. “No, unfortunately. But I think we should start a petition that every tree in town be a singing tree.”
Sam reached over you for the sugar. “But then there would be no gigs for local bands to play during Christmas.”
“Oh, I remember those shows,” Sparrow said. “You guys always looked like you were freezing up there.”
Danny chuckled. “We were,” he agreed. “It was miserable trying to play in the freezing cold.”
Jake gave an incredulous laugh. “At least you only had to play the drums,” he said. “Try playing guitar with no feeling in your fingers.”
“Ah, Jakey,” Josh said with a smug grin. “I recall a few wrong notes at those gigs.”
Jake only smiled at his twin’s affectionate teasing. “Well, Joshy, when I was off you were off, so neither of us was any good.”
“I was always perfect, though,” Sam said, matter-of-fact. Danny laughed and kissed his cheek.
“Of course you were, love.”
Sam turned bashful and gave his boyfriend a smile, knowing Danny had meant the compliment sincerely.
You lingered over your coffee for a long while after the food had been eaten, watching the snow fall outside the window bedecked with Christmas lights. The jukebox played Jackson Browne’s “These Days”, and Jake took Sparrow’s hand.
“Aw, sweetheart, it's our song,” he said with a sappy grin. “And I didn't even put it on, so it must be holiday magic.”
She laughed and ran her thumb over his knuckles. “Maybe it is, honey.”
Sam gave a playful grimace at the display.
“This is a horribly depressing pick for your song,” he said. “Didn’t you two ever listen to the lyrics and think, ‘hey, maybe a song about heartbreak isn’t a great choice’?”
“Come to think of it,” Jake said, “why was this playing at a wedding?”
“They had a lot of weird stuff on their playlist,” Josh said, remembering the wedding of a highschool classmate where you’d been reunited with Sparrow. She and Jake had also taken the opportunity at that wedding to finally confess the crush they’d had on each other since senior year, and you remembered the trip with fondness.
“I wonder how they’re doing,” you mused. None of you had known the bride that well, and you hadn’t bothered to keep up with her after she invited you to her wedding.
“They’re having a baby, I think,” Danny said. “I saw it on Instagram.”
“You follow her on Instagram?” Sparrow asked, surprised.
Danny pinked a little. “Yeah, well, I knew her better than you guys did back at school, and we caught up a little at the wedding.”
Sam smirked. “How well could you have known her at school, Dan?”
Danny’s blush deepened. “I mean... we may have made out once or twice.”
Sam’s eyes widened and the rest of you laughed.
“You never told me that!” Sam protested, amused and surprised but unconcerned about Danny’s long-past relationships. “We went to her wedding and you didn't tell me you two had history?”
“Oh, we did not have history,” Danny scoffed. He softened and gave Sam a sweet smile. “Besides, I didn’t care about anybody else but you at that wedding and you know it.”
Sam gave a pleased grin. “Yeah, I know it.”
“You’re saying you didn’t care about me at that wedding?” Jake asked, playfully affronted. “I’m hurt, Daniel.”
Danny’s smile was equally fond and exasperated. “You were too busy pretending you weren't in love with Sparrow to notice, Jake. Or don't you remember?”
“Oh, I remember,” Jake said, giving Sparrow’s hand an affectionate squeeze.
“Well,” Josh said with a grin, “I remember how much time you and Sam spent pretending you weren't in love, Danny.”
“That’s rich, coming from you,” Jake said with a laugh. “You two don't have a leg to stand on.”
“I wasn’t pretending not to be in love,” you reminded him tartly. “Your brother’s just a blockhead who wouldn't know a love confession if it smacked him in the face.”
“Oh, don't exaggerate,” Josh said with a smile. “You didn’t smack me in the face, baby. You kissed me.”
You all laughed.
“That’s worse, Josh,” Danny said. “At least I knew what was going on when Sam kissed me for the first time.”
You enjoyed reminiscing on how you’d all come to be together as you finished your coffee, and when Josh had paid the bill, you hurried through the snow to the car. The ride to the Kiszka house was quick, and you were all alight with excitement as you got ready to surprise Mama K.
You parked a little ways down the gravel driveway, not wanting to give yourselves away until you were all at the door. The six of you tramped through the snow to the cosy farmhouse, huddled into your jackets, Sam and Danny in the lead.
“Are you sure she’ll be okay with all of us staying here?” Sparrow asked, looking to Jake for confirmation. Though she’d said “us,” you knew she was worried that she would be unwelcome, even if she didn’t need to be. Though his parents had been overjoyed to welcome Sparrow into the family, Jake’s last relationship before her had ended badly; you knew from late-night conversations with your friend that she was worried Jake’s parents were still hesitant to trust her with their son's heart.
Jake knew that too, and he smiled and gave her a quick, comforting kiss.
“She’ll be over the moon to see us, sweetheart,” he assured her. “Especially you.”
Sparrow blushed prettily. “Well, I don't know about that.”
Jake chuckled and tugged her close. “Just you wait and see, little Sparrow.”
You held Josh’s hand and gave it an excited squeeze. “Are you happy to be home?”
He smiled, his cheeks rosy with cold. “Yeah. Thanks for planning this, baby.”
“You’re welcome, my love,” you said. “I know your mom’s been missing you, and I hope she’ll be happy that we're all together under one roof for Christmas.”
“I’m sure she will be,” he said. “She might freak out that she doesn’t have enough bedding for everyone, but she’ll be glad we’re here.”
You laughed. “I told your dad we’d help get things in order for all of us to stay,” you said. “We might have to take the pull-out in the basement, though.”
His expressions scrunched. “Aw, why us? I have a perfectly good bed we can sleep in.”
“So does Jake,” you said.
He sighed. “In the same room, I know.” The twins had shared a room growing up; Sam had loved having his own room and not sharing anything, but neither of the twins had minded being with the other. For this trip, you figured Sam and Danny would take Sam’s old room while Jake and Sparrow took the twins’ — you were wise enough to know that certain activities might be difficult if you all attempted to share, as funny as it might be. You and Josh could take Ronnie’s room since she was spending Christmas with her boyfriend, but you hadn’t asked your boyfriend’s opinion on that.
“We could probably stay in Ronnie’s room,” you said.
Josh winced. “Uh, no thank you.”
You smiled. “Why not?”
“I’m not having sex in my sister’s bed. I can't even think about how awful that would be.”
You raised a brow. “Oh, so you think you’re getting lucky this trip, huh?” you teased.
He gave you a knowing smirk. “Nice try, baby. You think I don’t know how you like a little thrill every now and then? You like to get hot for me when you’re not supposed to.”
You blushed vividly. “You think you’re so smart, don't you, Joshua?”
He hummed in agreement and nuzzled a kiss against your cheek. “I’m a genius, but you’re also very predictable on some things. So yes, I do think I’ll get lucky. In fact, I hope and pray I'll get lucky.”
You gave a soft laugh. “I think you'll get lucky, too,” you said in a quiet voice.
He grinned. “Then I guess we’re taking the basement.”
When you reached the front porch, all of you were careful to be quiet as you kicked the slush off your boots and brushed snowflakes off of your jackets. You took turns shushing each other’s excited, quiet laughs as Sam knocked on the door.
Kelly answered, and he beamed at the six of you.
“Your mom’s in the kitchen,” he said. “Go surprise her.”
You all filed in, trying not to sound like a trampling herd, and Kelly hung back and watched you with a fond smile as you made your way to the kitchen.
Karen was stirring a bowl of batter at the island, and whatever she had in the oven smelled delicious. She was so focused on her work that she didn’t notice the group of you in the kitchen doorway, and Jake took a step forward.
“You need any help in here?” he asked.
“No, I’m alright, thank you,” she said without looking to see who’d spoken. “Who was at at the door?”
Jake laughed. “Us, mom.”
She nearly dropped the bowl as she whipped her head up. A delighted, incredulous smile lit her whole face.
“Jake!” she said. “And — and all of you!”
She rushed over to you, and a long moment was spent in hugs and laughter and joyful welcomes.
“You sounded just like your dad,” she told Jake as she hugged his neck. She looked to Josh. “Didn’t he sound just like him?”
Josh laughed. “Yeah, it’s kinda freaky.” He gladly accepted her warm hug and kissed her cheek. “Hi, mama. Merry Christmas.”
She patted his cheek. “Merry Christmas, sweetie. I love you.”
Sam laughed when he hugged her. “Aw, mom, don’t cry. Danny will think you’re not happy to see him.”
“Oh, sweet Danny knows I’m happy to see him any time,” she said. “Don’t you, Danny?”
He smiled and hugged her. “Yes ma’am.”
She embraced you next, and you realized just how much you’d missed the woman you considered another mother.
“I've missed you, Karen,” you said, feeling a knot of emotion in your chest.
She squeezed you tight. “Oh, I've missed you too, honey. I’m so happy you’re here.”
Sparrow hung back, a little shy, but Karen didn’t hesitate to give her a mama bear hug. Sparrow relaxed into it instantly and looked relieved at her warm welcome.
“I hope you like your surprise,” Sparrow said.
Karen laughed and brushed the happy tears from her face. “I love it. I can't imagine a better Christmas present than having you all here.”
Kelly took his turn hugging everyone next, and Karen affectionately scolded him when she found out he’d known you were coming.
“You could at least have told me to mop or something,” she said.
He laughed. “When have I ever been able to tell you to do anything, woman?”
Karen fussed over all of you as you settled in, handing out mugs of coffee and asking Kelly to put a load of sheets on to wash.
“I assume you have plans in town,” she said. “Or are you wanting to spend the whole week here in the kitchen with me?”
“That wouldn’t be so bad,” Josh said with a smile. “Bur we do have to take Sparrow to see the singing tree.”
Sparrow blushed. “We don't have to make plans around me,” she said sweetly. “I’m happy to do whatever.”
Jake gave her a reassuring kiss on her blushed nose. “You gotta see the singing tree, sweetheart. That’s non-negotiable.”
“Jake’s right,” Karen said. “But I'm surprised you’ve never seen it before.”
“I spent Christmases at my grandparents’ in Boston,” Sparrow said. “And it appears I’ve missed out on something spectacular.”
Karen smiled. “Are your grandparents missing you this year?”
Sparrow smiled too. “Yes ma’am, but they’re happy I’m here.”
Karen patted her hand in a motherly gesture. “Well, we’re happy you're here too.” She looked at Josh and Jake. “Are you all sharing your old room?”
Josh grinned. “That might get a little dicey, mama, don’t you think?”
You were sure if Karen were wearing pearls, she would have clutched them. “Oh lord, Joshua.”
He laughed, big and bright, and you loved the sound of it even if you were a little embarrassed at his teasing.
Karen softened and gave him a fondly exasperated smile. “So where are you planning to sleep that’s not so dicey? Your sister’s room?”
The boys gave various groans of disgust and horror at the thought, and you and Sparrow laughed with Karen.
“No thanks,” Josh said. “Baby and I can take the pull-out in the basement.”
“That’s fine,” she said. “Your dad moved all your music stuff down there, so you might have to shuffle some things around, but the couch is still there.”
“Speaking of,” Kelly said, “let’s go ahead and get your stuff from the car and get you all settled in. The guys and I have a set tonight, so I won’t be able to help later.”
“You didn’t say you had a set tonight,” Sam said. “Where are you playing?”
Kelly shrugged. “Main Street Tavern.”
“We should go,” Jake said. “Can we?”
Kelly gave a proud, pleased smile. “Sure. I’d like it if you came. You can come by when you’re done walking around downtown.”
The boys filed out with Kelly to get your bags, talking about what he was going to play at the gig, and you and Sparrow took a seat at the kitchen island as Karen pulled a pan of cookies out of the oven.
“Can we help with anything?” you asked as Karen went back to baking.
“Oh, no, you just sit right there and drink your coffee,” she said. She gave you and Sparrow a warm smile. “I know I’ve said it a hundred times, but I’m really glad you girls are here.”
You both thanked her and accepted the cookies she gave you.
“I know where Jake gets his cooking skills from,” Sparrow said.
Karen smiled. “Well, he got most of it from his dad, but I do make a mean batch of cookies, and I’m glad at least one thing I taught that boy stuck with him.”
You knew that each of the Kiszka boys had learned invaluable lessons from both of their parents; they were the men they were today because they’d learned kindness and generosity from Karen and Kelly. You were thankful that Josh had such good parents, and you were so happy to be able to spend Christmas with them.
You and Sparrow reluctantly left the cosy kitchen to help with luggage as the boys came back in. You brushed snow from Josh’s curls and earned a sweet laugh from your boyfriend.
“Am I all snowy, baby?” he asked.
“Yes, but you look very cute.”
“Aw, baby.” He gave you a quick kiss. “You sure are sweet, you know that?”
Things quieted down for a while as all of you went to unpack, and you and Josh ventured down to the basement you’d spent many hours in during your childhood.
“We might end up having the coolest room, baby.”
You agreed as you plugged in the many strands of Christmas lights hung across the ceiling, illuminating the cosy room filled with instruments, comfy couches, and well-loved games like foosball and ping-pong. You’d always liked the Kiszkas’ basement, and you didn’t mind rooming in it over your trip.
Josh pulled out the sofa bed and sat on the edge, the springs protesting his weight.
“Squeaky,” he teased.
You huffed a laugh. “Guess you’ll have to get creative, then.”
He grinned. “Is that a challenge, baby? Because I accept.”
You went to wash your face in the bathroom just off the basement, cleaning off the feeling of traveling, and Josh came in and rested his chin on your shoulder.
“Are you happy we’re here for Christmas?” he asked.
You met his eyes in the mirror. He looked a little unsure, and you turned to face him.
“Of course I am, honey,” you said. “Why wouldn't I be? I love to be at your parents’.”
“I know,” he said. “But I didn’t know if you were sad to not have our first Christmas after we moved in our new house.”
You draped your arms over his shoulders. “I was, a little, but I wanted you to be here for Christmas. I know your parents missed you when we moved, and I'm glad we’re here. We’ll have plenty of Christmases in Nashville.”
He kissed you, soft and tender. “Thank you for doing all this, baby.”
You smiled. “You’re welcome, Josh. I love you.”
He hugged you tight. “I love you too.”

you're not santa
i may or may not be having a small (this is a lie) crisis over liam believing in santa this year? i am 90% certain he doesn't actually believe in santa and just said he does because he thinks the cool gifts come from santa. meanwhile i am just trying to get the vibes on if i need two wrapping papers this year or not for the same amount of gifts. so anyways working through the feelings with putting the idiots in the situation as always, enjoy.

🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅
"You better be quieter this year," Steve slapped Eddie's still bare ass as he hurried to throw on his Christmas pajamas. "Almost woke Maddy up last year. You're lucky I was standing by the door."
Eddie rolled his eyes fondly. "Well, maybe if you hadn't turned the-"
"Just go!" Steve laughed, throwing a pillow at him with deadly accuracy.
Eddie threw it back at him with a smirk. "When I get back, I'm giving you your present."
"You already did, Eds."
"No, that was just one of them," Eddie rushed to say before leaving their bedroom and quietly closing the door behind him.
Both bedroom doors were closed across the hall, so he quickly made his way down the stairs to the garage, where all the gifts were hiding since Robin dropped them off earlier that day.
But when Eddie opened the garage door and flipped the light switch, a voice startled him into nearly turning and running.
"I knew it!"
Sammy.
Their oldest son had been acting very suspicious of Santa related discussions for months now, and Steve had warned him that he was getting to an age where a lot of his friends probably didn't believe in Santa anymore.
"Sammy, why aren't you in your bed?" Eddie put his hands on his hips, identical to the way Steve stood when he was about to have a very serious conversation with one of their three kids.
"Because I saw Auntie Rob bring in a big bag earlier and you and Dad were trying to keep us distracted. So I looked out here while you were cleaning up dinner and saw all these presents." Sammy was standing with his hands on his hips, a mirror image to Steve in every way down to the same swoop of hair and freckles across his cheeks. "And all of these say from Santa, but Santa wouldn't have even come here yet because he was in London one hour ago and London is at least four hours from here!"
Eddie bit back a laugh at how Sammy tried to explain his way through the Santa gifts being here.
"Can I tell you a secret?" Eddie asked, dropping his arms and sitting down on the ground, gesturing for Sammy to join him.
"I already know Santa isn't real," Sammy said as he sat, sounding absolutely miserable.
"What do you mean Santa isn't real?" Eddie asked, pretending to be shocked at the revelation.
"Really, pops? You're gonna act like Santa is real?" Sammy got the sass from Steve, too. It was both annoying and adorable. "I'm seeing the evidence that he isn't with my own eyes."
"Look, Sammy, can I call you Sammy?" Eddie smiled when Sammy let out a laugh. "Santa as you know him isn't real, you're right. But there is a Santa. He's just so busy and can't do it all in one night, so he has presents delivered early for some people, like you and your brother and sister. But he can't ruin the magic, so he left them at Auntie Rob's house for safekeeping."
It sounded airtight. Any kid who wanted to believe in Santa would definitely believe that.
"Dad. Seriously." Sammy was giving him The Look. "I'm nine years old. I have straight As. I'm not stupid."
Which was something Eddie knew of course. He was endlessly proud of all of his super smart kids who did a million times better in school than he and Steve ever did.
But he didn't think believing in Santa was a sign of a kid not being smart.
"You're smart enough to learn the truth, which is that Santa gives the parents a lot more control than we let you think. Don't you think it would be harder to get Maddy to do her homework if I said 'Dad will take a present away' instead of 'Santa is watching to make sure you do your homework'?"
Sammy looked out at the garage, the clutter of children's outdoors toys and broken Christmas decorations and bulk snacks for lunchboxes scattered around.
"So he just gives you the toys when he thinks we've been good enough for them?" Sammy asked, still sounding unsure.
"Exactly! And he usually delivers them a couple weeks early so we can make sure they're wrapped and ready for tomorrow."
"So why keep it all a secret?"
Damn Sammy for always being two steps ahead of Eddie.
"It's more fun this way! Olivia was so excited to leave out cookies before bed, remember? If we told her this, she wouldn't even get to be excited about Rudolph eating the carrots, right?"
"So Rudolph is...real?"
"Okay, that one might be a lie," Eddie gave in on that to sell the rest of it. That's what you had to do with Sammy.
"So who eats the carrots?"
"I take bites and spit them in the trash. You know I hate carrots."
"Why don't you make Dad do it?" Sammy leaned against Eddie's side, letting out a long yawn. He was probably sitting out here for the last couple of hours waiting. He had to be exhausted.
"Dad did a lot of that stuff when you were really little. For five whole years before we switched."
"So he sleeps while you bring out all the presents?"
Eddie's face went red as he thought about what Steve was probably doing in their room right now.
"Yep! He did a lot of baking and stuff all day today so I let him rest," Eddie wrapped an arm around Sammy as his weight became heavier against him. "I think you should probably get some rest, too. Santa wouldn't want your Christmas morning ruined because you stayed up all night."
"I guess." Sammy yawned again. "Can I sleep on the couch?"
"You know Dad's rule. Bedrooms only on Christmas."
"Yeah, but that was for the secret. Now I know."
"But Maddy and Olivia don't. We have to keep this a secret from them, okay?" Eddie paused when he heard some footsteps directly above them. His brows furrowed.
"Maybe Santa forgot one?" Sammy asked, perking up.
"Maybe. Better get to your bed so he doesn't see that you're awake," Eddie nudged him.
No sooner had the words left his mouth than Sammy was rushing out of the garage and up the stairs to his bedroom.
Eddie looked above him, but no more bumps could be heard.
After setting all the presents under the tree in a mostly organized fashion, Eddie got back to the bedroom, where Steve was fast asleep.
He got into bed carefully, not wanting to wake him up, but Steve's eyes blinked open slowly as he curled up under the comforter.
"Took you too long," Steve whispered.
"Sammy."
"What?" Steve's eyes opened all the way and tears were instantly filling them. "Does he know?"
"Sh," Eddie pulled Steve against his chest and ran his hands through his soft hair. "I'll tell you tomorrow. Sleep, love."
"Eds-"
They heard a small bump on the roof and then silence.
Steve sat up and looked out the bedroom window, then back at Eddie.
"What was that?"
"Must've been Santa," Eddie teased.
Steve rolled his eyes.
They both stayed up for a bit longer to make sure no other noises happened outside, but fell asleep when there was nothing.
🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅
The next morning, all three kids jumped into their bed, yelling about how many presents Santa brought them and how full their stockings were.
Steve and Eddie made their way downstairs, rubbing their eyes as the kids pushed them down on the couch while they started grabbing gifts.
By the end, the kids were so busy playing with new toys, they didn't notice one more present hiding between the fireplace and the tree. Eddie reached over for it, not recognizing the wrapping paper.
"Did Robbie say she was getting them something else?" he asked, holding the gift out to Steve.
"Nope," Steve took it, checked the tag, then handed it back to Eddie with a shrug. "Says it's for you."
Wayne wouldn't be bringing his gifts for everyone over until that afternoon, so who could this one even be from?
He opened it carefully, worried that it was a prank by Steve and the kids. It wouldn't be the first time they managed to pull off a prank gift.
The confusion only increased when he pulled out a small plastic replica of the London Bridge.
"You don't even like London that much. Who got you that?" Steve asked, resting his head on Eddie's shoulder.
"No idea."
Sammy looked up at them over the new book about planets he got and beamed.
"Santa brought you a present!"
Eddie was suddenly reminded of their conversation last night, how Sammy insisted Santa was just in London and couldn't possibly have made it here.
Eddie had seen a lot of weird things in his life, had ignored a lot of them and passed them up to weird coincidence, but this was different.
He set the replica on the table by the couch and wrapped an arm around Steve's shoulders, kissing the top of his head as he leaned further into him.
"Santa?" Steve asked.
"Must've been a good boy this year," Eddie smiled.
"Uh-huh. I'm sure you were," Steve kissed his cheek before turning back to watch their kids playing on the floor.
Maybe Eddie would have to write a letter to Santa next year to thank him for the gift.

Hc where Vlad genuinely loves Christmas.
Like, it's not even to drive Danny up the walls for his hatred of it, bro just genuinely loves Christmas. It's how that even someone like Vlad could stand by and not break the Christmas truce despite his personality.
The one day a year where Danny gets left alone before Vlad somehow, someway, got redeemed and became an ok-ish guy.
Danny, genuinely, thought it was because Vlad being the careful fruitloop he is, doesn't want to get dogpiled like Ghost Writer did when he, himself, broke the Christmas Truce.
But no, biggest reason is that he genuinely loves Christmas.
Unfortunately, Vlad has no one to celebrate with.
So, he celebrates with himself, using his many duplicates of course!
Danny finds out when he encounters one of his many duplicates trying to buy gifts for himself, Danny sees it as very sad honestly when he found out, but was he going to do anything about it?
No.
Vlad can go bugger off to his mansion for the holiday and leave Danny alone for one day a year. Fudge, the guy even seemed to be aware of it by saying that he wouldn't want to oppose when invited by the Fentons, even though he's literally obsessed with his mother.
When Vlad somehow became redeemed, and stopped being a creep towards his mom and trying to force him into being his son he... sorta grew a conscious. I.e, going over to Vlad's mansion and dragging the man out to join his family in celebration.
Apparently, he still never got the hint that he's invited, like, at all. So Danny has to drag him over, every. Single. Year.
At the very least, the man made great non-living treats.
This, has gone on for years, Danny still looks 14, Vlad for some reason stopped aging at 45 and everyone else in the Fenton family knows that they're half ghost and has no problem with it (Jack and Maddie don't anymore after realizing everything they knew and thought were wrong) and celebrated Christmas just as hard as before, if not more so.
Even Dani stopped travelling the world to come back and join in.
It eventually turned into a tradition at that point, and after their family lived and died at a rip age (they never became ghosts) it sorta put a damper on the mood.
Then Vlad left, suddenly thinking he isn't invited anymore since Danny hates Christmas.
Danny, come next year, proved him wrong by showing up out of nowhere, as Phantom, wearing a Santa hat and star cape in the shape of a tree that Vlad stitched himself, with Dani also in ghost form also wearing one with a Christmas themed gas mask on her face.
Danny then just floated down towards him, took him by the back of his Christmas themed cape (Yes, Vlad is also in ghost form), looked at both the heroes, and villains who decided to fight on Vlad's personal property since he was probably funding one of either, or even both sides.
Then said they were taking him, his treats (Dani picked them up because she missed them) and excused themselves.
Vlad won't lie, he's incredibly touched by this event. But he was also a bit sad because he spent so long carefully manipulating both sides for one final, climatic, giant crash that he could sit back and watch while enjoying his cup of hot cocoa and enjoying his goods on one of the best days of the year.

Complete
We might end up real close by thewolvesof1998 / @thewolvesof1998 (S2E1: Under Pressure, PWP | 2K | Explicit): “Said you wanted us to bond. We might end up real close.” When Buck said those words to Bobby just merely few hours ago, it had been a joke about how if the bomb went off they would be reduced to blood, shards of bone and flesh, mixed so together that you wouldn’t be able to tell them apart without DNA testing. He hadn’t meant it in the way that it was now true with Eddie balls deep in him as he fucks Buck against the tile wall of the firehouse showers, both of them still fully dressed, uniform pants undone and pulled only down to mid-thigh in their haste.
in the moonlight you look just like an angel in disguise by smilingbuckley/ @smilingbuckley (Post-S6, Cabin fic | 35K | Mature): While Christopher is at camp, Buck and Eddie go on a vacation of their own to a small cabin in the woods... It goes as well as you'd expect.
got nothing but love for you (fall more in love every day) by smilingbuckley/ @smilingbuckley (S6, Secret Relationship | 6K | Mature): 5 times Buck and Eddie are almost caught + 1 time they are
this is a place where I feel at home by smilingbuckley/ @smilingbuckley (Buck&Bobby | 1K | General): After watching parents mourn the loss of their children, the 118 go to check up on their children. And Bobby... he's staring at Buck, and Buck is confused.
something 'bout the time of the year by smilingbuckley/ @smilingbuckley (Christmas, Getting Together | 20K | Teen): “We need to talk,” Eddie looks up from his phone to see Christopher standing in the kitchen doorway with his arms crossed, his crutches leaning against the wall beside him. “That doesn’t sound good,” Eddie teases and locks his phone, “What about.” “Buck,” Christopher answers and walks over to the table, sitting down in front of Eddie. “He always tries to make Christmas happy for others. Aunt Maddie said they didn’t celebrate it when they were kids. We need to give him the best Christmas this year.” “You have a plan?” (Part 1 of The Diaz Christmas Experience)
want your love in every flavor by smilingbuckley/ @smilingbuckley (PWP | 2K | Explicit): After getting together and Buck promising he'll stay the rest of the month at the Diaz house, they go back to his loft to pack. But the excitement of finally being together gets them distracted. (Part 2 of The Diaz Christmas Experience)
Santa Baby by smilingbuckley/ @smilingbuckley (PWP | 2K | Explicit): Buck has to be aware of what the Santa suit did to him. And to the single mothers visiting, his mind supplies, and his fingers tighten their hold on the steering wheel. He hates when he gets jealous. Maybe it’s not jealousy, because he knows Buck would never flirt back or something. But he feels something when he sees those moms bat their eyes at him, probably imagining taking the sexy Santa home. But, he thinks, I am taking this sexy Santa home. (Part 3 of The Diaz Christmas Experience)
happy new year by smilingbuckley/ @smilingbuckley (Established Buddie, NYE | 2K | Teen): It's quite magical to actually have fireworks around them as they kiss. Buck had always felt them, imagined them in a very cartoony way. Now it’s real. The ground shakes slightly underneath his feet with the loud rumbles. The lights flicker against his closed eyelids. And Eddie’s mouth is warm and loving against his. (Part 4 of The Diaz Christmas Experience)
merle said mama tried, but the prison still won by oklahoma/ @malewifediaz (Christmas, Getting Together | 3K | Teen): Eddie goes to (mall) jail.
Of Love, Hospital Jitters And Christmas Lights by callmenewbie/ @callmenewbie (Established Buddie, Hurt Chris | 6K | Teen): Eddie and Buck end up in the hospital waiting room a few days before Christmas
to wake up by your side is all I wanna do by smilingbuckley/ @smilingbuckley (Living Together, FWB | 14K | Mature): After a fire destroys his loft, Buck moves in with the Diazes indefinitely. Except neither he, Christopher, nor Eddie wants him to move out. Buck gets used to being fully included in the Diaz family and the changes it brings to be with them full-time. It's a dream come true, especially when things between him and Eddie start developing in a certain way.
when your world is on fire by smilingbuckley/ @smilingbuckley (Established Buddie, Hurt Eddie | 6K | Teen): The 118 responds to what should be a normal house fire only to find out that one of their own is stuck inside and believed to be dead.
it's so dark tonight (but you'll survive certainly) by lemonzestywrites/ @lemonzestywrites (S5E6 Speculation | 5K | Teen): Eddie struggles with the aftermath of being held hostage and Buck is there to help keep him from crashing.
when it rains in california by lemonzestywrites/ @lemonzestywrites (Getting Together | 4K | General): The minutes pass, and the rain falls with a scattered tapping on the ground. He couldn’t even remember the last time he had seen it rain like this in LA, quiet and calming, leaving a nice undisturbed haze across the city skies. He wants to bask in it, even for a moment. Well...maybe not in the rain. Buck’s more than okay watching it afar from the awning in Eddie’s backyard.
temptation comes from wants we cannot yet claim by lemonzestywrites/ @lemonzestywrites (Coma Eddie | 8K | Teen): He thinks back to waking up with Buck in bed beside him, of family breakfast and lazy morning ins. All of that sounds…it sounds wonderful. Perfect even. And of course, he’d want it here. Here where he can experience these things. And even for a fraction of a second let his mind wander and believe it’s real. Even when it’s not. He knows he shouldn’t- can’t. But God, Eddie wants. He wants, and he wants- “You could stay here.”
can't make it stop, give me all you got by 42hrb/ @exhuastedpigeon (PWP | 4K | Explicit): Eddie and Buck fuck in a club at Pride
men made of stone and forged in fire (even you deserved to be so softly loved) by lemonzestywrites/ @lemonzestywrites (First Kiss | 5K | Teen): A quiet night in and a hand running through his hair, those two simple things usually don't do much to phase the average person. But Eddie is a different story.
share this hour of make-believe by fleetinghearts/ @shitouttabuck (Quarantine, Pre-S4 | 1K | General): or, quarantine finds eddie sharing a bed with a pillow-thief and sleep-talker. he minds less than he thinks.
all i want for christmas by lemonzestywrites/ @lemonzestywrites (Christmas, Proposal | 3K | Teen): Eddie decides to finally pop the question to Buck, but his proposal doesn’t go quite as he planned.
jadeite hearts could never cost this much by lemonzestywrites/ @lemonzestywrites (Getting Together | Teen): Eddie and Buck spend their first night together after their first kiss. Adorable fluff ensues.
exactly what you were looking for by lemonzestywrites/ @lemonzestywrites (Established Buddie, Proposal | 3K | Teen): While washing the dishes, Eddie comes to a gentle revelation.
a two inch difference by lemonzestywrites/ @lemonzestywrites (Getting Together | 3K | Teen): The height difference between Buck and Eddie is only two inches, which isn't a significant one by any means- until it is.
🔥 the last shred of truth in the lost myth of true love by lemonzestywrites/ @lemonzestywrites (Friends With Benefits, Post-S6E13 | 25K | Explicit): “If…If you’re really curious about if you’re still good at sex, you can practice,” he says slowly, partly from nerves and also because Eddie is still unsure if he should even say it at all. But once again, self-preservation is only a few steps too slow, and Eddie rips the bandaid off before he can rethink it all. “With me.”
Hold Me Close and Hold Me Fast by giselleslash (Post-Lightning strike | 5K | General): Buck dies and Eddie knows he needs to finally let go of the fear that’s been keeping him from telling Buck everything, because that fear is nothing compared to seeing Buck suspended in the sky far from his reach and lost to him. He’s going to bring Buck home.
Be My Baby by elless (Established Buddie | 1,6K | Explicit): Buck and Eddie enjoy some time alone. And maybe take an important step forward in their relationship.
🔥 dream sweet of me by spaceprincessem/ @spaceprincessem (Dimension Travel | 16K | Teen): buck is in an accident and wakes up in a universe where the 118 don't know who he is
you were the wilderness I crossed into by rowan_wood/ @transboybuckley (Post-Coma, Getting Together | 9K | Teen): or: the 118 has a 24 hour shift, and zero calls. The firefam spends it playing games, and everyone takes the opportunity to tell Buck just how much they love him. (Part 1 of bottle episode)
blind hope's my home by rowan_wood/ @transboybuckley (Fluff & Smut | 5K | Explicit): or: the first day of Buck and Eddie's new life. They fuck, they dance, they fall even more in love. (Part 2 of bottle episode)
WIP
🔥 Precious & Fragile Things by Daisies_and_Briars/ @cal-daisies-and-briars (Small Miracles AU, Angel Buck | 10K | 4/? | Teen): Buck is the Fallen Angel of Petty Temptation, who has been tasked with tempting human Eddie Diaz to sin and enjoy life, but just a little. He thinks the job will be easy - get in, get out, go back to Peru to continue messing around with eternity. But when Buck arrives in Los Angeles, he finds Eddie is harder to tempt than expected, and more compelling than Buck had hoped.
🔥 Right Where You Left Me by hyacinthusbloom/ @thebloomingheather (Canon Divergent, Post-S4, Angst | 20K | 19/? | Explicit | Warning: Rape/Non-con): "Therapy?" Eddie suggests. Buck almost laughs, but instead says, "I'll go if you go." Because he had fully expected him to be chicken shit, to disagree, and instead Eddie, the bastard, replies, "Deal." Or Buck never tells anyone that he slept with his therapist and deals with the butterfly effect years later.
Kiss Me Once Cause You Know I Had A Long Night by I_still_dont_understand_13 / @sherlockcrossing (Prompt collection | 15/? | 10K | Teen): 100 kiss prompts.

Wachowski Family Headcanons
💙 For Christmas, Tom and Maddie got Knuckles one of them..I forgot what u call em..music boxing machine thingys, that you attach to the wall and you punch different areas on board on time to the beat of a song.
Yeeeeah not only did he destroy that the moment his fists made contact, but he also left a little costly gift of his own for his parents on the same wall where it once was…
❤️ Sonic still has to check with Maddie to know whether a certain cup, bowl or container is microwave save.
Sonic: Hey Tails, can this go in the microwave?
Tails: ………*shrugs*
Sonic: Oh come on- *immediately calls Maddie waiting for her to pick up* Mommy ANSWER……MOMMY!!
Tails very well knows…he just wants to see his brother go into panic state
🧡 The brothers when bowling
Knuckles: Grabs the heaviest ball and chucks it with one arm, and somehow manages to get a couple strikes. However he has had a few warnings and even got his family suspended from the complex for what he claimed to be “minor damage” (he threw a ball up into the screen displaying the scores and another time, smashed a ball down too hard on a lane it went straight through the floor)
Tails: Still struggles to lift the ball properly so he uses two hands when holding/throwing it. Sometimes he will use the ramp that is available or he gets help with his stance from a family member (usually Maddie). Doesn’t make strikes often but his family is super encouraging and supportive towards him and he is determined not to give up, and when he makes one for the first time, they go absolutely wild. They’d fill the room with their screams and shouts and all ambush the fox with hugs and kisses and praises for his mini milestone. Tom would pick Tails up and sit him on his shoulder as they all chant his name…the smile on Tails’ face could not be any wider, he was the happiest boy in the world at that moment. But shortly after he bursts into tears because never had he experienced anything like this in his life. His tiny heart just couldn’t handle all this appreciation, support and love that came from a place he once least expected.
Sonic: IS the bowling ball. He’d often forms an alliance with Tom to become the undefeatable father/son duo, though Maddie just sees it as cheating, as wholesome and funny as it is. Sonic once got trapped behind the fence that comes down once you knock over the pins, and had to come out through the channel that returns the balls. They get a bit hesitant on this as they’re worried he might get stuck under there. When he’s not being the ball, he’s either helping Tails, dancing to the music, or begging his parents to do the mii spinning action from wii sports when he chucks the ball behind him.
💙 When Tom is out on his street patrols around town, the boys sneak out and follow him.
Cue to the part where he’s taking a break in a parking lot, looks out the window just to see his 3 sons in the distance sitting on the fence…with Sonic holding a fishing rod with a bag of donuts hooked on the end of the line, the trio snickering away as he made eye contact.
They were clearly tryna lure him in, The Donut Lord, with donuts! Some smart cookies they were…he shook his head, smiling to himself before muttering through the mic, “Tempting…”
He could hear the 3 cackling in the distance, Sonic almost having a Humpty Dumpty incident.
❤️ here’s a meme that screams Sonic and Tom lmao
Tumblr media
🧡 another meme ahAaA

What if Tom’s secretly a gamer dad? 🤔🤣

wait not to say too much before the episode actually airs but buck is literally a part of EVERY family eddie has - eddie’s let him into all of it.
there’s the obvious eddie and christopher, but buck is also made a part of it well before the legal guardianship. eddie lets buck in about the ways he failed shannon and the ways their relationship had failed both of them.
there’s the way buck is over eddie’s Instagram, despite him not using it much, in one of the most pivotal moments in his parenting storyline on tv where there’s something chris might not be able to do the same way as everyone else, and he and buck manage to find a way to make it happen for him anyway
there’s the way eddie mentions his camaraderie with his squad in the army, and the only one that’s let in to the reality of that family, the reality of what happens to soldiers…is buck
there’s this thing of buck having met tia pepa, and assumingly also abuela, given the party at eddie’s house in 4x14. outside of the probationary ceremony and maybe 3x10, no one else has really been made that.
speaking of 3x10, christopher opening buck’s christmas present by the pinball machine, and eddie calling abuela over to join the moment with them???? i don’t celebrate christmas but that looks very family to me.
anyway, there’s the 118, obviously. I’ve always sort of taken it as…eddie’s never found a family like that before, and up until he tells chim about the 118 being the family they chose, he feels like he’s grappling with his place in it a little. but he does end up believing that the 118 is a home for all of them; a family they chose, and one that buck is obviously part of.
and now, for eddie to bring buck with him to a poker night that assumingly, he attends regularly and is given an exclusive invitation to, means that he’s sharing even that family with him. that’s like…
for buck, who’s only ever really had maddie before the 118, to have eddie irrevocably make buck a part of every single family he has, every single friend group he’s a part of…
tl;dr: eddie really said “you’re the family i choose” and there are endless anecdotes I could give to prove it

A lot of people in the phandom talk about how Season 3 was when Danny Phantom went downfall, and while i agree with the idea, i believe that the series was starting to show some of these cracks in Season 2 that later collapsed on Season 3.
For starters, we have the Season 2 first episode ¨Memory Blank¨, whose main purpose was to give Danny a logo in his suit so they had to make the portal explode on him again. It is an episode that doesn't much sense in the timeline and it is very confusing. It doesn't change much aside from Danny having a logo.
Later we have episodes like ¨Reign Storm¨ and ¨The Ultimate Enemy¨, considered to be the peak episodes from the series by many for a reason. The issue with these episodes is that they were setting up for pretty interesting things- but they never had a proper paid off. I have talked before about how the Ring of Rage and Crown of Fire never appear again after Reign Storm in spite of how important they were. There isn't any mention of them in the episodes that followed. The same goes to The Ultimate Enemy, a mutual of mine, @pedanticat, pointed out how the special was setting up for Clockwork to be a mentor figure for Danny, which didn't get much followed except for a later episode.
While "The Fright Before Christmas" has some good moments, it is frustrating how Danny has to put up with Jack and Maddie's childish argument that ruins for him and Jazz what should be a special time of the year. It is quite gross that a 14 year old teenager has to deal with something like this and the adults are never called out for it.
I do enjoy "Secret Weapons" a lot but one main issue it has is that it semi rewrites Jazz's character, making her be incompetent at ghost hunting when in previous episodes (My Brother's Keeper and Maternal Instincs) and later ones she isn't seen having this same kind of issue with using fenton gadgets. I believe it was written like this so the status quo wouldn't change much in the show.
From here is where things start to get more messy, with "Beauty Marked" having very cool things but giving a mixed message regarding gender (potraying all girls who like fashion and buy clothes as brainless and Sam being the only girl who is clever). Not terrible since it still fun to watch but questionable in message.
"Masters of All Time": Another dumb alternative plotline episode that doesn't add much to the series and was a whole wasted of opportunity of showing how Jack and Maddie's relationship with Vlad used to be before the proto-portal accident. Pretty insulting to previous characterization established for Vlad as antagonist among of a lot other weird messages and implications. Not much else to add that hasn't been said before in my blog or by some of my DP mutuals.
"Double Cross My Heart": I don't remember a lot of this one but i do know i didn't like the whole idea of Danny stalking Sam + ¨If someone else that isn't Danny likes Sam, it means that they are faking it¨. I do know that as whole this appears to be one of the most disliked episodes from the series.
"Reality Trip": Looking back this episode has a lot of really cool things, specially some exploration of Freakshow's characterization and Jack and Maddie as parents. The GIW being main antagonists is great too. The whole problem that brings this whole special down is that the events that take place don't have any real impact and most of the characters, including Jack and Maddie, lost their memories of learning about Danny's identity as Phantom. This has to be one of the most insulting moves the series did, all because for the sake of keeping the main status quo. It makes me wonder why Kindred Spirits couldn't have been the double part episode instead, since it is related to one of main plotlines (Why Vlad gave Valerie all that gear) and is about one of the main antagonists (Vlad Masters), something that was a lot more important that Freakshow.
As you can see, Season 2 was already starting to show problems that later defined the writing of Season 3. You have things like inconsistent characterization (From Secret Weapons to Masters of All Time), lack of proper continuity ( What i already said of Reign Storm ending and also Valerie not having a major role after Flirting With Disaster) and episodes with weird timeline plotlines that go nowhere and don't have a real impact. (Memory Blank, Masters of All Time and Reality Trip) It is a season that, aside from the first episode, it stays pretty well until the first half, then in the second half it kinda falls apart, with having some episodes that are pretty solid and others that are a mess for different reasons.

I'm kind of the odd one out in the Danny Phantom fandom because I don't hate canon, and in fact, I very much try to be a canon-compliant writer as much as possible. However, there are a few canon things that I ignore in my fics, so I figured I'd share what they are! :)
The Christmas Truce
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In my headcanon, ghosts cannot go against their ghostly obsessions for any reason, even if it's Christmas. Therefore, the Christmas truce from The Fright Before Christmas does not exist in any of my fics.
Valerie's Ninth-Degree Black Belt
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Danny says that Valerie has a ninth-degree black belt in Flirting With Disaster. Though he does not say which martial art she has the belt in, it apparently takes an average of thirty to forty years to get a ninth-degree black belt in anything. I let it slide for Maddie because she's old enough that maaaaaaybe it's possible, but while Valerie probably does have a black belt, I doubt she was able to get a ninth-degree black belt at her age. I headcanon Danny just said it was a ninth-degree black belt because he got confused with what his mom has.
Danny Struggling in PE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I very much enjoy Micro Management but I don't get how they expect us to believe that Danny is this out of shape when he's been fighting ghosts at least several times a week for months at this point. So in my fics, he excels in PE and any poor grades are due to tardies or absences, not because he can't meet the fitness requirements.
Paulina’s Mom
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We see Paulina's mom just once in Pirate Radio, but I prefer to say that's a woman her dad is currently dating but not her mother, especially since we do not see this woman at Paulina's quinceañera in Memory Blank. This woman also looks nothing like Paulina and I like to headcanon that Paulina and her mother look similar.
If I think of more, I'll add them! But I really do always try my best to flesh out and expand on canon in my fics rather than just ignoring what I don't like. I enjoy the challenge!

Maddie has a near death experience when an invention blows up on her.  Her soul was suddenly thrust from her physical form and time slowed down to a snails pace as she watches her body very slowly being thrown across the lab.
Death appears to causally explain everything.
“Don’t worry.  This isn’t the day I take you. I’m just here to walk you through your memories. This is just the whole ‘life flashing before your eyes’ bit. We’ll go over your human existence, a second will have gone by in the real world, and you’ll be right back in your body only remembering all of this in flashes. The general aim is that you’ll go back to your life with a different perspective on things”
They try to show Maddie her life ‘Ghost of Christmas past’ style but during the tour of memories Death slips and calls her Danny.
“Sorry” they respond.  “I’m used to dealing with THAT Fenton.”
Maddie wants to know what that’s supposed to mean but Death is casually illusive on the subject, constantly trying to bring the woman back on task, focusing on her own life
“Huh? Danny? He’s just a guy I know. Anyway...”
“Don’t worry about it.  Lot’s of people have near death experiences. Let’s stay on track.”
“This is about you. Your turn this time, Maddie.  Focus.””
Maddie only becomes more and more concerned over her son, and Death just won’t give her a straight answer.  Whenever Danny is apart of the memory, she takes notice of her son’s depressed look, subtle injuries, and how frustrated she is watching her past self not react to anything off about her son at all even when it’s obvious something’s wrong.
Often Danny would wander off somewhere on his own and Maddie tries to follow him.
“You can’t do that.” Death explains. “We’re in YOUR past.  You can’t go off to see what he’s doing. You’re not apart of that. If you want to see what the kid is up to, it can only be through moments when you were together.”
At first Maddie tries to do things Death’s way, but it seems like Danny is only getting worse every time he reenters after going off somewhere, leaving her with more questions.
Eventually Maddie can’t take it anymore.  She tries to ditch Death and follow Danny.
“No!” Death Warns “If you stray too far, I can’t guarantee this will ONLY be a near death experience!”

Fond Farewell
Summary: We had a connection, and obviously a very fond farewell..." Tony told Tim, as they sat on the bench overlooking the park, with Tali in her stroller.
My take on the 'fond farewell" between Tony and Ziva in 11x02, that led to... well.. you know...

But, when one of their own gets gravely injured protecting Director Vance, everything changes. Before they know it, they're on a plane to Washington DC, being dragged back into a life they thought they'd left behind.

A post 17x11 fic, of the reunion we all deserved but never got.
‘Couldn’t live without you, I guess.’

The Chain
Summary:
Set between 7x09 "Child's Play" and 7x10 "Faith".
Tony gives Ziva a thoughtful gift for Hanukkah.
Friends Don’t
Summary: Songfic. "Friends Don't" by Maddie & Tae.
'Friends don't call you in the middle of the night, couldn't even tell you why, they just felt like saying hi. Friends don't stand around playing with their keys, finding reasons not to leave, trying to hide the chemistry. Drive a little too slow, take the long way home, get a little too close, we do, but friends don't.'
My Whole Heart
Summary: Ziva tells Abby about her feelings for Tony. Inspired by the scene between Tony and Abby in 13x34.
Here to Stay
Summary: Ziva has finally reunited with Tony and Tali in Paris. But anxiety is still her enemy. His, doubt. And now they're together – what does it mean? What does it mean for them to be a real couple? After everything they've been through together, can their love withstand the storm?
Set in 2019, after 17x11.
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
Summary: Senior is in town for Christmas, and he's very surprised that his son and his girlfriend are... well, not a couple. So he thinks it's time to do something about it.
Set during 10x10, "You Better Watch Out".
Part canon, part AU.
From A to Z (oneshots)
Summary: NCIS contains four letters of the alphabet... but what about the rest?
From A to Z contains one-shots, drabbles, and short fics for every letter of the alphabet, centering around our favourite MCRT team.
May also feature occasional appearances from the special ops team in LA! Quite Tiva-centric, but also featuring other couples too! Canon and headcanon. Some canon divergence, AU, 'fix-it' fics.
Stakeouts, Secrets, and Other Simple Things (SSAOST)
Summary:
Rule 100: You don't keep secrets from the people you love, unless it's a matter of life or death.
One blood test.
One secret.
One family.
When a blood test reveals some life-changing news, will it bring people together, or will it threaten to destroy everything?

DP x DC Fic Recs
A list of DPxDC fics that don't have the following tropes:
Danny gets adopted by the Waynes
Danny is rejected by his parents for being Phantom.
The lovely @spite-sapphic-starlight started a really wonderful list that you can read here
But lets just show a little more love for the fics that don't fit those tropes.
also disclaimer: this is not any hate to those tropes, i love them dearly and have written quite a few of them myself. but apparently that's all DPxDC seems to be known for so we should take some time to highlight some truly amazing fics.
Born to Make History by Halfagone and Nightshiftshenanigans
It's a Jason Todd/ Danny Fenton Figure Skating AU with a no powers AU and it's absolutely beautiful.
I’m Falling for you (Now we’re both Falling) by Milaley, ziazippy5379
Danny is a paramedic who moves to Gotham because he wants to help people and the pay for paramedics is good. He meets former police officer Dick Grayson who spoiler happens to be his soulmate. Danny's parents struggle with the fact that they are the reason he's a halfa but they don't reject him.
A Second Life by Die_Erlkonigin6083
Danny is reincarnated and wakes up to find himself a little boy who is the clone of Dick Grayson who decides to raise his clone as his son. This isn't really an adoption AU since Danny was created as a clone and he didn't run away from the Fentons, I can't really share more without spoiling the entire premise :3 but it's very good and is a good play on the Danny is a Wayne trope.
Fall Before You Fly by DisillusionedDanny, GuardianofDawn
Danny decides to go on vacation and explore the different universes, he goes to the DC universe and joins a circus and becomes an escapologist and meets Dick who wants to learn how he's so good at what he does.
Schrodinger's Danny by Die_Erlkonigin6083
The Fentons were never Danny's parents in this AU and he became a halfa in a completely different way. Danny is the twin brother of Damian and flees into the ghost zone letting everyone think he's dead. He's younger in this AU and honestly it's such a cool take on the DemonTwin trope.
Forget the Christmas Spirit (Run Away With Me) by halfagone (milkywxy)
Danny and Damian meet in Paris right before Christmas. They fall in love on the trip and Danny decides to spend Christmas with the Waynes instead of going back to his own family where his parents make Christmas an entire thing each year.
We Lit a Match by GuardianofDawn
Danny has a gift that lets him see if people around him are going to die. He learns that he's the reason his family dies and runs away before that happens. He finds himself getting adopted by one Lex Luthor.
No bad parents Fentons, Danny runs away to keep them safe
Not adopted by a Wayne, it's Lex Luthor
it's a fun flip on both of those tropes.
Shovel Talk by SummersSixEcho
Danny and Tim go on a roadtrip for Tim to meet Danny's parents. Established relationship Tim/Danny
It's a very wonderful take on Good Parents Jack and Maddie Fenton and it's just a lovely story altogether.
Eat the Acid by DisillusionedDanny
Danny meets Conner Kent and falls head over heels in love with him. They discover that Vlad and Lex have teamed up to make the ultimate clone warrior. With the help of the Fentons and some unlikely friends they bring the clone back to Fentonworks so that they can raise their baby together away from Lex and Vlad.
These are just a few examples of fics that don't fall into those two tropes, they are all absolutely amazing and wonderful and the writers put a lot of work into these pieces of art. There are so many other fics that fall into these categories, I just don't have the time or space to add every single one but please don't act like all of DPxDC falls under the idea that Danny runs away to gotham to escape his evil scientist parents and gets adopted by the Waynes, that's a very small part of what this fandom does. It's a lovely part but it's not all that the DPxDC fandom is.

Most Precious Gift - A Joseph Quinn Christmas One-Shot
Tumblr media
Just a little Christmas blurb I came up with. Enjoy.
It's almost Christmas and you just aren't in the mood for it without Joe around.
Word Count: 2k
18+ for language and mild/implied smut
It was the day before Christmas Eve, and you were at home getting dressed for your ultrasound shift at the hospital. Joe had been away for about a month for filming his new movie. You missed him beyond description, but you knew he still had work left to do. You walked through the kitchen to your entryway to put your shoes on, completely ignoring the undecorated state of your house. There was no point in decorating since Joe couldn’t be there to enjoy it with you. Your friends kept asking what you were doing for Christmas, and you were tired of responding with I don’t know, probably just stay home. They encouraged you to fly to where you grew up to be with your family since Joe wasn’t home, but you just weren’t feeling it. Spending the holidays without him just didn’t feel right, even if you were still with people you loved. You couldn’t wait for it all to be over so everyone’s cheer would stop making you want to vomit. Scrooge wasn’t half bad; he just wanted everyone to shut up about how happy they were. Holly Jolly was waaaaaay on the other side of the emotional spectrum from where you were.
You headed out to your car and began the drive to work, losing focus, wondering how Joe was doing, what he was doing right now in Malta, how filming was coming along. He hadn’t called or texted in two days; you tried not to be upset about it because you knew he was busy, and it was difficult with time changes. It was just hard being alone for so long and so close to Christmas.
You got to work and tried distracting yourself by indulging in it. If a patient arrived, you took them for their scan before a coworker even had a chance to get out of their chair. After a few hours of this, they began to notice.
“You’ve done like double the number of patients today that is typical, and we haven’t done anything. Take it easy, there’s three of us here today. You don’t need to overwhelm yourself,” your coworker Maddie said to you. You let your lips turn up into a small, not very reassuring smile.
“I’m just trying to focus on something else besides Joe,” you replied, feeling tears well up in your eyes and trying to hold them back.
“I’m sorry,” she said, placing her hand on your shoulder. “Being apart is never easy, but you don’t have to be alone. I’m having a Christmas Eve party tomorrow night. Why don’t you come over? I’m planning drinking games,” she smirked, nudging you with a giggle.
"I really appreciate that, Maddie, but I’m just not feeling it this year. I’d rather just stay on my couch and pretend it’s any other normal day.”
“Ignoring something doesn’t make it go away,” she said, her tone changing. You knew she was trying to be supportive, but you were getting that from everyone lately, and you were a bit over it. You were too emotionally disconnected at this point for anything to make an impact. You nodded and turned back to the computer to finish your paperwork on your last patient, trying to politely signal to her that the conversation was over. “Please let me do the next one. I really don’t want the supervisor asking why you did way more than the rest of us today,” she said as she walked back over to her chair, realizing you just needed left alone in your element.
You finished out your shift after trying to let Maddie and Lexie share some of the work, regardless of your apprehension.
“If you change your mind, the party is at 6 tomorrow at my place,” Maddie said as you were gathering your things and putting your coat on.
“Thanks,” you said somberly. You did appreciate her efforts deep down; it was nice to have someone to look out for you.
You headed home, eager to put on your fuzzy pajamas, fix yourself a cup of hot cocoa and plant your ass on the couch for the next two days. When you pulled into your driveway, your eyes were drawn to the front window where you could see twinkling lights. Upon looking closer, you saw your Christmas tree decorated and lit.
“What the...” you said out loud to yourself, trailing off. What? Who? How? You climbed out of your car and headed towards the door. Once getting inside, you took your shoes off on the welcome mat in the entry way and hung your coat on the hook, making your way into the kitchen. It was decorated with Christmas knick-knacks and tea towels – all kinds of things you had packed away in the basement and didn’t bother to get out this year. You passed through to the living room, seeing the Christmas tree decorated and lit, an evergreen garland lying out over the fireplace mantle with lights strung throughout it, stockings hanging, more knick-knacks set out, a Christmas blanket laid neatly on back of the couch, the works. Your heart swelled at the sight; you could feel that familiar feeling you normally got during the Christmas season washing warmth over you. But who-
Just then in your peripheral vision, you saw a figure pass into the room through the doorway beside the Christmas tree from the stairway. Your eyes changed focus to see Joe standing there, dressed in a Christmas sweater and jeans. It took you a minute to process what you were seeing so you were frozen, staring for a moment as your eyes widened.
“J-Joe?” was all you could muster out.
“Hey, lovey,” he said, making his way closer to you. He put his arms around your waist and pulled you closer. You rested your head on his chest, pressing your face into him as he hugged you. Okay, he really is here. I can touch him, feel him, smell him. You pulled away and looked up into his beautiful chocolate brown eyes.
“Wh-what are you doing here? I thought you were filming.”
He put his hand on your cheek and brushed his thumb along it.
“We got some things done ahead of schedule, so they gave us a break for the holiday,” he responded quietly and soothingly, looking down into your eyes with the most loving look.
“Oh my God, I can’t believe you’re actually here,” you said with a giggle.
“Maybe this will help then, yeah?” he said with a smirk as he leaned in and put his lips on yours. Fireworks exploded in your head. You’d missed him so much, and every time he kissed you felt like the first time. Your lips parted slightly to allow his tongue to enter, running along your bottom lip. You hummed in response, moving your arms up to be around his neck and pull him closer as your lips worked in unison. You pulled away slowly and leaned your forehead against his.
“God, I’ve missed that,” you mumbled just loud enough for him to hear. He chuckled, rubbing his hands on your lower back as he held you close.
“I’ve missed you so much, too, darling.”
You pulled back a little to take another look at your freshly decorated house.
“Did you do all of this?” you asked even though you already knew the answer.
“Of course I did, baby. You love Christmas, why didn’t you decorate?”
You sighed and put your hands on his forearms, running your thumbs over them lovingly.
“I couldn’t, not without you. I hate celebrating knowing you’re working and can’t be here to enjoy it with me.”
He smiled and kissed your forehead.
“I’m here now, love. I was hoping to catch you before you went to work, but my flight got delayed. I arrived not long after you left and saw the house undecorated. It made me so sad, darling; I know how much you love it to be. So, I decided to surprise you.”
You smiled up at him and pulled him in for another hug.
“Thank you. God, I don’t deserve you.”
“You deserve everything, my love. And this isn’t the whole surprise.”
You pulled out of the hug and looked up at him in confusion.
“C’mere,” he said, dragging you to the kitchen pantry. He opened the door to show ingredients for cookies. “I thought we could spend the day together tomorrow baking Christmas cookies. I got everything for snickerdoodles, peanut butter cookies, those ones you like with the chocolate kiss in the middle. And for tonight, I got out the electric blanket and some chocolate covered pretzels. I’ll make up some hot cocoa, and we can watch Rudolph and Frosty together.”
Like the Grinch, you could feel your heart growing three sizes at his words. He was bringing the Christmas excitement back into you.
“Joe, that sounds perfect.” You pulled him in for another tender kiss. “Thank you.”
“Anything for you.”
“I love you so much, and I’m so glad you’re home. That’s the best Christmas present I could have ever asked for.”
“I love you, too, darling.”
You looked up at him with a smirk.
“I have to be honest, Joe. I had a Christmas surprise put away for you that I didn’t expect to need, but now that you’re home...” you trailed off as he looked at you with a confused face. “Give me a few minutes. I’ll meet you in the living room.”
“Alright, love.” Joe reluctantly headed for the couch while you ran upstairs. What could she possibly be doing? You were gone for over five minutes when he began to wonder what was going on. He walked over to the bottom of the stairs and looked up.
“Darling? You alright?” he called.
“Yeah,” your voice echoed from the bedroom. “Almost done.”
Joe stood there confused, but his attention was quickly caught by you standing at the top of the stairs, dressed in a red bra and panties with white fluffy borders under an open red silk wrap, matching thigh high socks, and a Santa hat. You’d gotten a Christmas lingerie set to wear for him but didn’t expect to be using in this year since he wasn’t supposed to be home. His mouth fell open a little and his eyes widened as he watched you make your way down the stairs. Once you got to the second step from the bottom, he stood in front of you and looked up at you, as if to worship you, while reaching for you. He wrapped his arms around your thighs under your butt and lifted you to him. You smiled as you wrapped your arms around his neck and looked down at him. He placed kisses on your collarbone and chest.
“Fuck,” he mumbled against your skin as he kissed, making you shiver. He was reacting exactly how you’d hoped he would. “Darling, I’d like to live to make it to Christmas,” he joked, earning a giggle from you.
“I don’t know, I think you’ll feel pretty alive after this,” you smirked, leaning down to kiss him.
He carried you back to the living room, his lips continuing their work on yours. He pulled away to throw you on your back onto the couch, and climbed down so he was hovering over you.
“I’ve been such a good boy,” he said softly, earning a smile and a giggle from you as he began kissing down your body, unwrapping his most precious gift with extreme care.
My Master List
The two cups of hot cocoa he had made while you were upstairs sat forgotten on the end table as red fabric was tossed onto the floor. Joe managed to bring the Christmas warmth and spirit back into you in more ways than one. You were truly a different person when he was around; he made you better in every aspect – sight, thoughts, actions. You didn’t need gifts to feel loved and appreciated. Joe was good at making you feel that way all on his own. He was the best gift you could have ever received, for any holiday.

Baby Daddy: Fever
Tumblr media
TW: Toxic!Rafe. Manipulation and sociopathic tendencies. Dom!Rafe. Degrading language. Smut. Language.
SUMMARY: Stuck at work, you are forced to rely on Rafe to take care of your son when he’s sick. But he’s expecting you to show your gratitude in a very specific way…
WORD COUNT: 3300
*ORIGINAL CONCEPT*
Fever
He had a habit of making a mess of things. Even if his attempts were valiant, if Rafe was somehow capable, it always ended up with the same disastrous result. It was what made the current meeting you were in that much more difficult as you couldn’t help but wonder what you’d be returning home to. The thoughts that danced unwelcome throughout your mind, across your cerebrum and down into the deepest pit of your stomach, made any necessary conversation into background noise. To make matters worse, any attempt made to sneak a text beneath the table went ignored as you could even picture that sadistic grin he’d express in knowing he had you on the proverbial, and now literal, edge of your seat. Until finally you were able to return home, running at least half of the stop signs before finally coming to the front door of your apartment.
But you stood in complete shock to what lay before you to witness.
Nothing.
Absolutely nothing. In fact, more of a nothing than how you left it. The single mug left in the sink from having been in a rush to leave to evade him as you switched off your parental roles had been washed, dried and put away. The laundry formerly on the couch had even been set according to how you had everything organized. And your mail had been left untouched on the counter. All indications that Rafe must have hired someone to be respectable of your space. But before you could even fully process your newly cleaned apartment, he emerged from your son’s room with a content expression.
“His fever just got under 101,” He pulled the old baby monitor from his pocket, setting it on the edge of the counter that separated you. “You’re going to want to give him Tylenol in about two hours because I just gave him Ibuprofen before that, if he still has a fever…” Your lips parted to interrupt him, trying to find some way to berate or correct him. But instead, all you could do was stare in awe. Those words forced back down your throat, more bitter than they were upon your tongue.
“What?”
“Where is she?” He released a sigh.
“Who?”
“The nanny or whoever you hired…”
“Is it that hard to believe I could know what I’m doing-”
“I’ve never even seen you throw away a post-it note and you cleaned my entire apartment…Took care of him…AND managed to not infiltrate my mail…”
“If there was a name I didn’t recognize, that’d be a different story.”
“Right…because you know everyone in my building, I’m sure.”
“Sweetheart…” He took a step closer. “I know everyone on your block. You think I’d let my son around anyone…unsavory?” His eyes glimmered with mischief as if he was well aware of the irony he spoke of and found amusement in it. Especially to your reaction against him.
“Chase across the hall. Maddy and Laci on the other end. The nice elderly couple below you-” Your eyes widened, “He has a son about my age…Doesn’t understand why I wear my hair without a ‘proper cut’.” Your lips parted as he continued. “A school teacher with a VERY serious boyfriend he’s planning on proposing to next Christmas, not to mention-”
“Jesus Christ, Rafe-”
“Do you think it’s ironic how nobody’s welcomed you? How nobody’s brought a fruit cake or whatever the hell people bring? I made it clear you don’t get bothered-”
“Even you don’t have that much influence…” To this, he moved even closer to you, pinning your back against the edge of the bar by his presence alone as he didn’t make contact. Instead, his palms were forced to endure the rough curve of your back’s support as he lowered over you.
“I seem to have it where it matters. Between your legs-”
You rolled your eyes as his smile widened.
“Usually that doesn’t happen until I’m inside you-”
“Stop it…”
“Maybe you should show me how grateful you are that I’m such a good guy…Considering you could have had some asshole who guilted you to come home…I just want you to come at home…” He used the back of his knuckles on your arm, tracing just enough for you to remember how his touch, and only his touch, made you alight from the inside out. The flutter of your eyes, no matter how hard you fought to react, verified for him that he still held that same ‘influence’.
“Could have even hired someone…But I’m a good dad…Good enough to make you call me ‘daddy’-” Your jaw clenched as he made a sudden grip in your hair.
“Rafe-”
“Knees.”
“I’m not-”
“Willingly or forced, one will be more pleasant for you…” He moved just close enough so you could feel his breath in the split of your mouth, interrupted words left unsaid on the tip of your tongue.
“Yeah?” He smirked, knowing well aware of his overall effect on you. Your jaw clenched as you were well aware he was not one to release such intentions easily. If he set his sights to you, you had only one choice; to submit.
“Please…Not here…” You looked in the direction of your son’s bedroom set at the first door in a small corridor as he guided you by your wrist and into your own room. The second you were alone, he thrust you into him. Lips cast aside as he focused on keeping you silent by intertwining your tongue with his own.
“You should be grateful I wasn’t pestering you every ten minutes asking questions, guilting you for not being here as a ‘mom’ should…” He explained while unbuttoning your blouse.
“But I know my girl works so hard…” He kissed down your neck and to the exposed cleavage just as his thumbs came to either nipple, hardened beneath the thin bra.
“You should spend your days waiting for me. Wondering how I’m going to make you come-how you’ll make me…The ONLY thing you should be worried about…”
“That’s no way to live as someone’s sex slave…”
“You wouldn’t be ‘someone’s’,” He suddenly tore your bluouse apart, buttons thrown in every direction as his hands came to the new exposure of your hips. You were spun against the door, his body pressing you to the cold fake wood before you, breathing inhibited by the force of his weight.
“You’d be mine…” Your mind spun as it always had in his presence. As you wanted to rival him and remain strong in your virtues and morals, his ascending fingers from your hip to your neck left them as nothing but embers at your feet. You blamed the history between you as having been why you always allowed it. But in truth, it was because you relished in how he knew just how to touch you. How to make every nerve in your body alert to him, even before he would touch you. As his gaze alone was enough to project that unhealthy rate of your pulse. And just as you were aware it would never fade, he was aware it existed against even your most potentially victorious efforts.
“But you always are, baby, aren’t you?”
“I’m not…” His fingers tightened around your neck. To enough to be perilous to your life, but enough to remind you of the threat that he could control you with an effortless grip.
“Then why are you wet?” Your brows furrowed to how he could know this. Even if your body had trembled in his arms, there wouldn’t be a chance he’d know such a thing. Not physically anyhow.
“Oh yeah…soaked…” His fingers were beneath your skirt, your legs crossing to try and keep your most intimate caverns concealed, but he was already against your clit. Playing your sensitive bundle of nerves as if a virtuoso to the music you offered in the strum of his touch.
“But I remember telling you to do something.” He performed an array of unkind rubbings before directing that hand to your hair, turning you to face him.
“If I have to ask again, you won’t get to come…and for how fucking uptight you always are, I’d say I’d be doing us both a favor to let you…” You clenched your jaw, wanting to fight him, needing that strength to push him away. But all you could do was obey. Because you wanted to-needed to. Because you knew being on your knees for Rafe was the only way you could really have any control over him. It was a way he showed how he trusted you. Having his most sacred and used part of his body where you could harm him. Yet neither of you allowing it as you both basked in the pleasure in contrast. The same pleasure he may have been undeserving of in all days but today.
“Look at you…” He used his ringed finger against your cheek. “THIS is where you should be. Waiting for me after work like this. Wanting this. Not fighting it.”
“Then let me.” You offered, his lips curving into a grimace of approval, before he unbuckled himself with one hand as the other remained in your hair. Softer now, but still set in place.
“No touching anything else until I say.” You nodded, feigning submission before beginning the endeavor that was oral sex.
His cock was cruel. Too large. Too wide. But promised pleasure you couldn’t find in even the most expensive of sex toys or experience of rivaling partners. Even your own fingers and the dirtiest fantasies, all which included him, did nothing but compare to him, failing in each variety. It was what motivated you beyond the tears and the retching, as well as the ache that always existed when he had you for him this way. All worth it for the promise of how this same shaft between your lips would offer you incomparable ecstasy between your legs.
“I’m probably gonna get sick now, too…Make it worth it. Give me something to remember while I’m in bed without anyone to take care of me…” He ordered through clenched teeth as you looked up to him with that teary gaze that made him cease you.
“Keep those eyes to me. Open your throat…Take me all the way…yes…” He felt you tense as he breathed an amused exhale.
“I won’t come…I save that for that sweet little pussy of my good little whore. But you go against me. Even once…And I just might, here…” He teased your neck with a grip, he would not commit to, before he now sat on the edge of the bed, unable to stand the sensations your tongue and suction brought him.
Just as he could offer you, you had him at that orgasmic release. The weight of his balls teased in your hands as you twisted and teased them, feeling him shift and moan over you.
“Look at me-” He ordered, hand pulling you to the very tip of his cock.
“Just the tip. Slow…But keep those eyes open…” He explained as he took you slowly. Guiding you to edge himself as you kept his expression in eyeshot. The way his lips parted to struggle for allowance of pleasure had been the same fervor of those eyes too lust blown to exist in the cool blue they usually wore.
“Only a slut obeys so blindly-so eagerly…And that’s what you are for me, right baby? My perfect little slut?” You nodded, too needy to contradict him.
“That means you’re dripping for me, right?” You bobbed your head.
“Stand up.” He ordered as you offered one final corkscrew suck, a satisfying pop acting as a farewell to your oral fixation to him, before he pulled you towards him.
“You come before I say,” He began to command, taking both of your wrists behind your back with the use of only one of his large hands, “And you won’t get to for a VERY long time. I’ll make sure of it.” You only flared your eyes in understanding as he set his ringed finger between your thighs.
“Let me see just HOW much of a slut you really are…” You shuddered to his touch climbing to your interior, his lips pulled to a wider grin.
“Already eager?” You nodded.
“Oh, baby…” He patronized. “You soaked through your panties for me, again…” He bit his bottom lip for only a moment.
“Take ‘em off.” You kicked them freely, watching them brush his knuckles, before his hand returned to the new space between your legs. But only to drop down and retrieve your panties. His second hand’s thumb brushing your bottom lip.
“Open.” You believed it had been to suck his thumb, a slight kink all its own for him. But instead, you found your own panties in your mouth. Savoring your own release as he threatened your sex with his touch.
“Can’t let our son know just how loud his mom is for me…” He scoffed. “And you’re gonna scream…” He began immediately, a rough insertion mended by the pulsation of a second finger offering the illumination of the fulfillment he offered you.
“Good girl…fuck my fingers, you little slut…show me how badly you want my cock…come on…” You released your inhibitions against him. Down to his knuckles, riding over him as he took turns at your breast and your ass, fondling whatever skin made you wince and react the most. But those very reactions were what caused him to pull the panties from your mouth and back onto his cock.
“Bend.” You obliged, his hand now in a rough smack to your ass.
“Stroke it.” You spit on his shaft, precum greeting the droplets, before you used your own panties over him. To showcase his approval, he spread your cheeks with one hand before teasing your perineum and your sex with his fingers. One finger then two once again.
“Rafe…” You moaned.
“Quiet! I want to hear how wet you are…” He shot as you moaned behind lips bit together, relishing in the sound for yourself as well.
It could have been a minute or an hour, but the pleasure seemed to approach quickly. Waves to your carnal shore as he continued the patterns that led you closer and closer to that crest.
"Mommy?" A faint voice came from the opposite side of the bedroom door as you were quick to adjust. But this only led Rafe's fingers deep inside with a hooked rest directly at your g-spot.
"Don't. Move."
"Everything okay, buddy?" Rafe asked, fingers never stopping.
"Is mommy home? I heard her praying with you daddy."
Praying? Suddenly you were mortified. The belting to God with how Rafe made you feel just a moment ago had been overheard by your son. But as your cheeks flushed, he finally rose, a smack to your ass as he looked back to you with a grin.
"You pray with a lot of , like the girl from earlier-" Your eyes narrowed as he looked over his shoulder enough to feel your scowl.
"Why don't we get you back to bed?"
"But if mommy isn't here, why do I have to still pretend to be sick?" Your eyes narrowed. You remembered the call midway through the early work day of how believable they'd both been. It made your blood boil beneath your skin.
When am I gonna learn? You asked yourself while redressing.
"How about we have you go to bed now and then in the morning you, me, and mommy go get some pancakes?"
"Yeah!" Rafe left for only a moment, your eyes cast to the monitor, still left in the bar from earlier, your heart twinging to the sweet moment. But the second he returned towards you, you thrust a throw blanket and a pillow at his chest. The force surprised him enough to be knocked off kilter for only a moment.
"Looks like your attitude needs a reminder-"
"The only reason your ass isn't on the curb is because of how he lights up when you make plans with him. Ones you WILL keep or so help me God…" His eyes narrowed in having been aroused with how you spoke to him.
"Baby ..Its gonna be so cold out here all alone." You cocked your jaw.
"Have the girl from earlier help. Sounded to me like she kept you plenty warm." You slammed your bedroom door, locking it in place before finding rest within the sheets. Restlessly, you shuffled beneath them after the peace you made in getting the last word over him. Somewhere between dusk and dawn came a shuffling weight at your back.
"I wasn't finished." He spoke into your ear, his hand immediately finding and stroking the fold between your legs.
"How did you get in? I locked the-" One finger already had you shuffling into him. The reasons he made you jaded again this having now fallen weak.
"Oh sweetheart," he chuckled, "you think a locked door is going to keep me away from this?" A second finger separated your lips apart as his cock moved between the divide as only his shaft remained.
"I've done a lot more for less…" He thrust into you, his fingers forcing yours to embed into the sheets as he slowly savored you.
"Rafe-"
"You're coming whether you like it or not…" he drove his fingers to your clit, slowly and agonizing flicking, making you into nothing but groans.
"It's just up to you on how long it takes…"
"I-"
"The more you fight it, the harder you're gonna come…Because I always win, baby…so let me win a bit easier this time…yeah?" You moaned beneath him as he grinned into your shoulder.
"No-"
"Oh…yes…" he turned you to your knees, setting your hands to your headboard as he took you fully from behind. The weight of him slapping at you from this position as you shifted your wrapped hands to the wall to keep the headboard from pounding as it had.
"Did she come for you like this?" You spat looking back at him.
"Who?"
"The girl you brought here?" You grunted as he took you to his chest, his feet pinning your ankles flat.
"There is nobody else. Your neighbor stopped by with your mail, something you tried to hide from me…" he pulled your jaw to him. "She just kept saying "oh God," flirting and laughing. It was sad. He asked why you say that and that's what I told him. You prayed. Might need to for forgiveness after this…" He explained once slowing his thrusts. Pulling back and slowing to watch himself pump in and out of you. You turning back to bask in how he adored the sight.
"Now I shouldn't have to explain myself. I put up with enough of your bullshit. So give me what I deserve…" He wrapped his hand back around your neck as it had been so many times before. In the attempt you made to speak, he tangled your tongue into his as he made you come undone in seconds. Nodding into the kiss as you struggled to focus on it with the rising ecstasy, he divided your clitoral hood and rubbed in desperation as you shook.
"More." He grunted as both of your hands took hold of his wrist.
"Rafe-!"
"More!" He growled, flipping you onto your back, hiking your legs over his shoulders, and pounding into you as he pulled yet another orgasm from you.
"Yes baby…all over my cock, come on…"
"Mmm…yes…yes…fuck!"
"Oh…you did…" he smirked, withdrawing his fingers and his cock in unison before dropping down between your legs.
"Rafe, I can't…"
"You will." Your eyes rolled as he dropped to your clit, proving to you that even if your son was the one who was feverish, Rafe was the one who was truly sick. But you loved it…
