For the record I do not believe in the goodness of people. It's been lost for many years and I have yet to see it make another appearance.

Sure some good things happen, but life is pain, people are cruel, and I just don't think making an effort or going out of my way is worth it.

I need to focus on my own family, our own happiness, safety, and strength. I'm 100% okay with anyone thinking it's selfish but I don't care.

I've spent years trying to be nice, it's a fruitless labor. I won't go out of my way to be hateful or rude but you won't see me putting extra effort into making people like me either.

It's time for my family to come first for a change. We matter and we deserve better.
